Starting point is 00:02:00 So good afternoon, everybody. And welcome to a break. brand new episode of Dodgers territory. We are so thankful that you are here. No pun intended over the course of this week. Of course, we are always grateful for our viewers and our subscribers. I am Alana Rizzo. That is Clint Pesias, your host for Dodgers territory the next half an hour. Don't worry. Dino Ebel is going to liven up the show. He's going to make it even better. Dino Ebel, the World Series champion third base coach of your Los Angeles Dodgers joining us shortly. but don't forget, we are going to have a mailbag show next week.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Considering the latest news, we were going to go ahead and punt that to next week because we have bigger things to talk about, Clint Paseas. Bigger fish to fry. The Dodgers have really, really kept. Move over Angels. The Dodgers have kicked off hot stove season. That's right. Blake Snell, according to all reports, is set to become a Los Angeles Dodger.
Starting point is 00:02:57 We're going to talk about it right now here on the big ticket. All right. Let's do this. Again, not officially official. But I will have some confidence saying that it's coming from a pretty good source. Blake Snell himself. But before we get into that, let's talk about this deal. Five years, reportedly, 182 million. Jeff passed in the first with it.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Left hander Blake Snell and the L.A. Dodgers are in agreement on that contract pending a physical, of course. Sources tell me in Jorge Castillo, the World Series champion, get the two-time Syong winner in the first nine-figure deal of the winter. So that is the first big domino to fall. John Heyman reporting also that his $52 million signing bonus and a $13 million a year contract is in deferrals, if you will. So there we go again with the deferrals. It's only about a $32 million, $33 million deal on the Dodgers CBT ledger for this season. So obviously we know that's going to be deferred.
Starting point is 00:03:56 And if there's a better source than this, I don't know what it is. Because Blake Snell on his own social media went out and said, let me go ahead. I guess he's number seven, putting himself in a Dodgers uniform with a Dodgers cap. You see the sleeves. He looks good in Pantone, 294. I love it. Again, the team has not said anything yet, but when it's coming from a player,
Starting point is 00:04:19 I like the chances that we're going to see the left-hander Blake Snell in a Dodgers uniform. Climp Pesias, happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, happy Kwanza, happy New Year, all the things. Yeah, whatever was on your Christmas wish list or your holiday wish list, your offseason wish list. Hopefully this is one of them because the Dodgers front office pending the physical. We assume it happens after Thanksgiving where maybe he's going to put on a few more pounds as Blake Snell. They did a good job in kicking off this offseason right. Love, love, love, love this deal for the Dodgers. You guys have been watching me here. You guys been watching me on all Dodgers. This is the guy I've wanted. I've been talking about
Starting point is 00:04:56 it since about a week before the World Series. There's no fun. You don't care about the World Series. It's about running it back. Then it becomes run it back season. And this is a guy that helps you do that. This is the guy I wanted. Lefty, dominant. He's got strikeout stuff. Did not expect this to happen before Thanksgiving for sure. But the Dodgers doing what they do best. They go with the signing bonus. That helps save Blake Snowe a good chunk of money in that California tax. Great intro to foul territory today where a former big league pitcher Trevor May was talking about what a signing bonus does. And you get tax. on that in your state. So it saves Blake Snell, maybe about $7, $8 million in getting that money
Starting point is 00:05:40 in a signing bonus. And the Dodgers, you know, Los Angeles deferrals, people are going to call them. Fans, baseball fans, hate this. They absolutely hate this. Let's do this. We got a graphic from a former big leaguer, former owner of a major league no-hitter, Dallas Braden, trying to shut up the haters a little bit, the people who don't want to, um, The other teams basically don't want to spend enough money to make their team as good as the Dodgers. I'll ask you this, Alana. Are the Dodgers bad for baseball? No, the Dodgers aren't bad for baseball.
Starting point is 00:06:19 You know what's bad for baseball is the other 29 teams not spending money. There is not an owner in this game who doesn't have the means to spend money. They choose not to spend money, but they do have it to spend. And I'm not saying that, you know, the Cincinnati Reds can spend like the Los Angeles daughters. But yes, I am. I mean, there's a way that you can compete. And it's by opening your checkbook. It's by spending money.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Look at what the Kansas City Royals did. After 100 lost season, they had a really good year last year because in the off season, J.J. Pocolo and ownership went out and spent money. The Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim are trying to do the same thing. What does that translate to for L.A. Angels? I'm not certain. But the point is the Dodgers are. people's enemy number one because the ownership group is really good. They not only care about winning,
Starting point is 00:07:07 but they will spend money and they will put their money where their mouth is and you cannot fall to a player who wants to go to a team that is a contender every single year. You don't like it, then spend some money. So don't hate the Dodd, don't hate the player, hate the game. And this is the game that the Dodgers are in and it's about spending money and Blake Snell wanted to be a Dodger. Why not? And you know what? Give credit to Shohei Otani. Because if you are the face, the international face of this game, and you choose not to defer money, then you probably don't have to, right? You can go someplace else and say, no, I want all my money right now. But he wanted to win. He wanted to be on a team that is going to win. And if he defers some cash,
Starting point is 00:07:48 then maybe they can surround Shohei Otani with some other really good players, all of Freddie Freeman who has deferred money, all of Muky Betts, who has deferred money now. All of Blake Snell, who has deferred money now. And you can continue to win. And it's not like they're not going to get this money eventually. I mean, this makes Bobby Bonilla's deal look awful. I mean, good for the Los Angeles Dodgers for doing this and getting players to buy into what they're selling. Again, all 30 teams can spend it, whether your ownership group chooses to do so is another story. Is it bad for baseball? No, what's not, what's bad for baseball is the teams that don't spend, the Oakland athletics that, you know, are playing in a minor league park right now,
Starting point is 00:08:27 essentially. That's bad for baseball. Yeah. Uh, Breaking news to some folks who don't know how baseball works, but every team has that opportunity to do signing bonuses, to do deferrals to put together that best team possible, your best 26-man, your best 40-man roster, to give your fan base the best opportunity to watch a baseball club win. Guggenheim ownership since they took over this organization, their mandate has been win, win, win, win.
Starting point is 00:08:56 We will invest in free agency when we need to. we will make sure our farm system is stacked and stocked, and we want to win. You've been to the World Series a handful of times, a number of times. You win it now twice in five years. We're feeling really good. It's a great time to be a Dodgers fan, and Dino Ebel will be joining us in just a minute. One more thought. I want to throw this up on the screen for everybody.
Starting point is 00:09:19 But, of course, pending physical. Blake Snow will be joining the Dodgers. I'm interested in hearing what Dino has to say about that. But look at what is available to this Dodgers. front office to Dave Roberts and company when it comes to starting pitching health. All of a sudden, you add Blake Snell in there. It's a really, really deep looking starting rotation. No question about it.
Starting point is 00:09:43 And by the way, one more thing before we get to Dino Ebel, because obviously we want to save the majority of our time for him today. Does this mean Clint Paseas that the door has closed on Walker Bueller? It's tough. Obviously, I'm not Andrew Friedman, but putting on my GM hat, right now. I just don't know where the innings are for some of these other guys. I'll put that screen back up right there. That also doesn't include Walker, or sorry, Clayton Kershaw, who presumably will be returning at some point in time. But listen, we know how it goes over 162 games.
Starting point is 00:10:17 There's injuries. They're going to find innings. But for Walker Bueller, where he's at in his career, he needs a one year, another reestablish himself sort of deal, a lot of innings, and then go out and get himself a bag in the 2025-2020-off season. I don't know where he gets enough innings. So door closed on Flaherty 100%. I don't see them in on Freed. I don't see them in on Burns beyond this. But Walker Bueller, as much as he might want to return, again, I don't know where you find the endings.
Starting point is 00:10:45 So hopefully I'm wrong. I would love to have Butane back. I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. Hi, Dad. And just when I said that, my mom, comes out of the kitchen, and she says, I have some cookies and milk. This is a badass convict. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at them all. Yeah. On the Ceno Show podcast, each episode invites you into a raw, unfiltered conversations about recovery, resilience, and redemption. On a recent episode, I sit down with actor, cultural icon, Danny Trail, talk about addiction, transformation, and the power of second chances, the entire. Season 2 is now available to Bench,

Starting point is 00:12:19 ferocious and wealthy mother looks like in the black community. This Woman's History Month, the podcast, Keep It Posit, Sweetie, celebrates the power of women choosing healing, purpose, and faith. even when life gets messy. Love is not a destination.
Starting point is 00:12:34 You have to work on it every day. Keep it positive, sweetie, creates space for honest conversations on self-worth, love, growth, and navigating life with grace and grid led by women who uplift, inspire, and tell the truth out loud. I have several conversations with God,
Starting point is 00:12:49 and I know why. It took 20 years. To hear these and more, listen to Keep It Posit, Sweetie, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. How about the fact that Blake Snell and Tyler Glass now are back together again?
Starting point is 00:13:05 And I think Blake Snell, not only do I think of the two times the Young Awards, I also think about the 2020 World Series and how thankful I was that Kevin Cash pulled his ass. Because that is why the Dodgers won, not only the reason, obviously, but one of the reasons that mismanagement by Kevin Cash of pulling Blake Snell when he was absolutely lights out is why the Dodgers won the World Series. those two get to reunite. And I think that Dustin May should go to the bullpen. But that is for another time. Another show.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Yes, a number of shows, perhaps, down the road as we get ready for Dino Ebel. Yeah, I mean, we can welcome in Dino right now if you're ready. I know Dino's ready. Yeah, he's good to go. Hold on. Wait, set the stage. This is a two-time World Series championship, champion third base coach. Dino Ebel, how you doing?
Starting point is 00:13:58 Welcome to Dodgers territory. Where's ring number one at? That's what we need to see on the screen. I'm over here in Barstow, visiting my mom through the rings at home. But you're listening to part of your show. It's unbelievable. And it's a great situation for the Dodgers. We're in a good spot.
Starting point is 00:14:16 And, you know, as you guys were talking about the innings, you can't get enough. So if you stay healthy, then you got, you know, that's what you want. But it's great to be on your show and talk baseball. Appreciate that. You know, it's great to see you. Always great to have you. We appreciate it. Congratulations on the bronze medal there in Japan. Obviously, you were on the coaching staff with Mike Sosha there. I want to ask you this, though, although the Dodgers have not made it official, Blake Snell has, and said that he's going to be a boy in blue. So what does a guy like that add to what is already a very good rotation? How do you make a World Series champion even better with Snow? Well, you add a pitcher like that. He's, again, you guys were talking about Sall Yong, and he's one of the, top pitchers in the game. And to add him to the rotation now one month after winning the World Series, I'm getting text after tech. So once this thing, you know, becomes official and
Starting point is 00:15:10 the Dodgers announce it, then it's a great day for the Dodger organization. I know our guys are excited. I've been getting texts from players and they're pumped up. So, you know, it's nice to see him in the Dodger blue instead of on the other side. And we got, you know, game plan for him pitching. So we welcome him and I hope the Dodgers aren't done. Yeah, listen, we don't, we don't want to get too far ahead. Obviously, Dodgers fans very much excited for the prospects of the 2025 season. But hey, you just won a World Series. We still got to soak that in a little bit. How fun was it? I mean, it's the most generic question you're going to get asked time and time again, but how fun was it going through seeing this team to, you know, fight together, battle together from, you know, day one, you know,
Starting point is 00:15:57 opening series in Korea, all the battles with Shohei and seeing people come together, what Freddie and his family went through to get this group, the chemistry, the team, it's a family. That's what it feels like to me. What was it like seeing this group of guys come together through the adversity, through the injuries, and ultimately hoist that commissioner's trophy? Well, you've said it. This team from day one, when we got to spring training, all the veteran guys got together,
Starting point is 00:16:24 especially with me, it was when, you know, in the infill part of it, with the Rojas's and, you know, Max Muncie and Freeman at first and Gavin Lux. And even, even Mookie, we started it in spring training from day one. That was the focus. That was the goal. Everybody bought in. And just to see it, you know, like you said, starting in Seoul Korea, we split there, we get back home, we have the freeway series. But to go what we went through and the credit goes to Dave and, you know, and Andrew and all the guys upstairs that keeping this team together, the pitching part of it. Guy stepped up. The bullpen carried us. But I tell you what, we were all talking about the last few years about how are we going to get through the five days. That was the talk. If you win
Starting point is 00:17:07 your division, what are you going to do for five days? We tried everything, but I really believe, now this is my opinion. I haven't really shared it with a lot of people. But for us going all the way to the end and playing the three games against the Padres and then finishing in Colorado, We didn't have that 10 day, 12 day, 15 day break to get guys off and you know, you don't want to get somebody hurt. We had to push it through all the way to the end and I really believe that's what carried us into the to the playoffs and we needed that five days off our pitching and get our guys as we as you guys know our position players. We had some guys hurt gave them extra days off and then once we got into the San Diego series we took care of business and I feel it rolled all the way to the end. So winning it towards the end. instead of winning it. You always want to win your division as early as you can, but I felt this year we had to push it all the way of the ending. Seeing this group through the World Series,
Starting point is 00:18:01 through the playoffs, come together in the locker room, in the dugout. I mean, everybody bought in and wanted this thing bad. And the credit, as you know, is that bullpen, once we got a lead, they held the lead and the offense took care of business. Yeah, those bullpen dogs. Adida, when I think of you, I think baseball man. I think baseball lifer. And you're a guy that is always coachable, always willing to do whatever it takes. And your role's changing a little bit this year. Obviously, you're still the World Series champion third base coach, but you're going to be handling the outfielders as Chris Woodward. Woody is back in the fold and he's going to be the first base coach handling the infielders. So how does your preparation change and what do you think
Starting point is 00:18:40 of the change for your role moving forward? Well, like I told Brandon Gooms, he called me, gave me the news that one, Woody was back on our staff, which I was excited. We worked together all year this year. He did a lot in a minor. leagues and he would come up and visit us. Help me tremendously on the infield. But I did the outfield when I was with the Angels. So I've had both opportunities to be the outfield coach and infield coach. And when Brandon called me up and said, listen, we got Woody on the staff. It makes sense that, hey, let Woody take care of the infielders. And with your experience doing the outfield, it would be an easy transition. And I didn't even blink. I just said, let's do it.
Starting point is 00:19:16 I'm ready for this again. I did it four or five years with the Angels. Again, this team loves to We're going to get out there. We're going to try to be the best defensive team in baseball, try to prevent runs in that outfield. We'll play a big part of it. Clayton McCullen did a great job, you know, for being in four years with the Dodgers and handling the outfield. So it's going to be an easy transition.
Starting point is 00:19:37 I'll take over that role and let Woody do his job and make the Dodgers better. Yeah, I love that. I love having Woody back in the fold, of course, and I love that you're so willing to be a utility player go wherever they need you. Let's talk about you mentioned a couple of times, your time with the Angels, and you knew Shohei Otani way back when when he was an angel. How have you seen him just develop as a person, as a player?
Starting point is 00:19:59 You knew him in both uniforms. What's been the biggest change? Well, I think just the experience, you know, coming in the Angels in 2018, he was new trying to get to know everybody. He was doing both pitching in, you know, the offensive side. But he had a total different routine where, you know, Mike Sosha had to manage the workload to where, when he was getting ready to pitch, he couldn't hit.
Starting point is 00:20:24 So, you know, over the years, that's changed. Now this guy is much bigger, much stronger. He still has his speed. It was great for me to see him through, you know, as I was with the Dodgers, the last going in my seventh season, and seeing Shohei with the Angels, how much more better he's gotten offensively. He can run the bases.
Starting point is 00:20:45 You know, this was his year to steal as many bases as he can, first 50-50 guy in the history of the game. just to see him involved as a person, always, always, every time we played him, he would come over and just talk to me for 10, 15 minutes, give his time because his time is so valuable. But to see this guy's workload up front now, I had him one year, really didn't see it, he got hurt, he was done playing, but what he goes through is incredible. It's hard enough just to hit or pitching the game to do both. this guy is probably for me I said it all these years he is the best player in the world and now we get a chance and the dodger fans get to see him pitch next year so hopefully he can stay healthy you know dino you you mentioned uh you know spinning back a little you mentioned the
Starting point is 00:21:34 defense that is always going to be uh we know we lost dino we we lost dno there for a second okay he's back he's back uh you mentioned the defense defense wins championships and we might have a little bit of a similar looking defensive situation on the infield, but also a little bit different. Obviously, the offseason is not done. Maybe there's a name we bring in. But as of right now, to me, and I think to a lot of people, there isn't
Starting point is 00:21:58 a clear-cut solution at shortstop. We hear Muky Betts is moving back to the infield. A lot of people presume that's second base, but you got a guy there who plays pretty dang good baseball when the head is working right, and Gavin Lux, somebody who was supposed to be playing some shortstop. What can you tell us right now?
Starting point is 00:22:16 about what you're working on with this team because I know you always love working with these boys closely during the off season. What can you tell us about the progress with Lux, Mookie, even Tommy Edmund, shortstop, and then the middle infield spinning forward to 2025. Right. I think, you know,
Starting point is 00:22:34 the season's over, they announced that Mookie's moving back into the infield. So, again, I've been gone for a couple, you know, almost a month. I only got to enjoy the parade. And the next day I was back on a flight going to Phoenix, and then Mexico and Japan. But I know the situation with these guys playing the infield, last year, Mookie was thrown into shortstop there in spring training, so really he was learning on the job.
Starting point is 00:22:57 But, you know, as you said, we got Tommy Edmund, we got Rojas. He's back with us. Again, I don't know what Andrew's going to do. If Mookie decides they're going to put him at second base, and they're going to play platoon Edmund and Rojas short and keep Edmund in center, that's something that, you know, that I myself as a coach is just going to have to wait and see until they call us. We have a, you know, a meeting with the doc and the staff and they're going to present it to us.
Starting point is 00:23:25 But as of right now, we're going in. And if Mookie's in the infield, if he's going to take ground balls at second and short, we got Tommy, we got we got Miguel Rojas, we got Chris Taylor. So until there's another name that they add on, this is our team. This is what we got to do as coaches. The front office does the job by getting players on the roster. And it's our job to get him better on the field. So I'm just going to have to wait and see like all of us are right now.
Starting point is 00:23:50 And, Dino, let's get Teoska Hernandez back on the field and back on that roster. That is a guy that I am clamoring for. Again, he wants to be in L.A. You're going to be working with the outfielers. From your vantage point, what makes him a good outfielder? And if you were working with him in right field, what would you be working on? Well, the thing that with Teosker is, one, what a special person. And this guy is a team player.
Starting point is 00:24:14 He came to the Dodgers for one reason. He wanted to win, and he got it like Shoah. But this guy can play left and right. You know, again, everybody, the elite players in baseball always want to get better. And I remember back in my angel days when Trout told me, how are you going to make me better? And I told Kiermeyer this story that we got up on the screen and I showed they had a red dot and a blue dot. And when the ball was hit, Kiermire would have a better jump than Trout. So we had to work on the first three steps to their left and right.
Starting point is 00:24:43 But with Teosker, you know, this guy is going to improve every day. We're going to get him out there. We're going to work. I think personally, I think he can improve in playing just with his arm strength. He has the arm in there with footwork, and Clayton did a great job with him throughout the year. But for me, it's the arm strength that he can improve on, which he knows. Great person, winner on the team. He wants to win.
Starting point is 00:25:06 That bat will carry us. So, again, we're just as anxious as anybody else, if Andrew and Brandon Goans and the organization. brings it back, so we just got to wait. I went and sat on the little ottoman in front of him. Hi, Dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen, and she says, I have some cookies and milk. This is a badass convict.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at my mom. There was some bad, and I don't know that Mookie. knew how to handle failure on his own part because it's mooky bets he's never had to fail at the
Starting point is 00:27:50 big league level but you know moving to shortstop uh that short short notice of course at the end of spring training it was a lot for him he handled it uh as as as great as he can to handle it really well and then some of the growing pains in your view what was kind of the the biggest uh you know issue for mooky what can he grow on if he's going to be a little bit of an option uh at shortstop if you know depending on what happens at the rest of the off season What can he grow with? Right. I think if you asked Mookie this, that the biggest thing was him.
Starting point is 00:28:19 It wasn't him catching the ball. It was him throwing the different angles. Second base was easy. You know, I had turning double plays. He had the arm angles down. Just going in there and playing shortstop, it's a longer throw. He had to go in the six hole. He's going up the middle.
Starting point is 00:28:34 So once he started to establish them throwing angles, it was going to click for him. But then it just got to a point to where, you know, here's the guy. we talk about Shoah all the time. Here's the guy that played right field, second base, shortstop, second base, right field. That's it takes a special athlete to do that. And to put him in a spot, put him in a major league game and say, okay, now you're our shortstop. And just the throwing angles, you know what was crazy. It was once he went back out to the outfield, he still did his routine.
Starting point is 00:29:05 This guy routine is to take round balls every day. You know, he keeps his arm strength there, and he goes to shortstop, and now he settles down, and now he's got that arm strength. I mean, the arm angles down like he did in the minor leagues when he came up. So he felt a lot better with his throwing mechanics when he became the right filter every day. So it's something that he knows, he experienced it. I think if he does play shortstop, second base, pretty easy. I'm telling you, if this guy plays 162 games and he plays second base, he'll be go glove.
Starting point is 00:29:36 I will make that prediction. That's how good he is. In shortstop, he's going to catch the ball. He just needs to, you know, get the reps like he was. And, you know, the arm angles is the biggest thing for him. The ball hit to him. He's going to catch it. He just has to throw it over there learning the angles.
Starting point is 00:29:53 I love the prediction right here on Dodgers territory. Dino Evil saying that Mookie Betts is a gold glove second basement. Let's go. You know what? I have to say, I think we don't give Dave Roberts enough props. Everybody, you know, if they lose a game in the middle of May, everyone says fired Dave Roberts. I think, Dino, this was his best.
Starting point is 00:30:12 managerial job of his tenure based on the amount of injuries that you guys were decimated by all of the different moving parts. What can you say about the job that your skipper did navigating those tough waters to get you to the World Series championship? You said it. This was a great year. Again, six years there, you know, going on my seventh year this year in 25. This guy is, you know, I've only been with two managers in my career with Mike Sosha and Dave Roberts, which I feel are top two guys in the game. And Dave, just the communication, building relationship, letting these players know what's going on two, three days before it happens.
Starting point is 00:30:50 And in the moves that he makes at the right time, you said it, when you make a bad move and some backfires, the fans want to get on you and they want to get rid of you. But throughout the playoffs, you know, the focus, you could see it in his face, the game prep. You know, he's very prepared in every game. But when that playoff game started in game one against the podcast, I saw a different Dave and he was focused, which he always is, but the moves he was making,
Starting point is 00:31:17 the communication between him and Mark Pryor and Danny Lehman and Connor McGinnis, in the defensive side, the offensive side. He was on his game and I was happy that the moves that he made, it worked. He is good. He is great manager. For me, he's going to go down as a Hall of Fame manager, what he's done with the Dodgers. So that was for my opinion, seeing him daily in a, in the player. He was ready. He was prepared and he was ready to tackle this thing and to win the World Series. He kept saying we needed that parade and we got it. Yeah, I know that the fans in the city were waiting for four years because we didn't get one in 2022 when we won, Dino. Before we let you go, a couple of questions. Number one, is that the room you grew up in because you said you were visiting Mama in Barstow. And number two, what's the off season, you know, workout regimen for your arm to make sure that that that arm is, you know, ready to go to bring those guys home?
Starting point is 00:32:11 Is it the best shape of its life when you go to spring training? Well, yeah, it's one. I'm in my mom's, and I didn't grow up in this house because we lived in another one. My dad, before he passed away, they bought a new home. And so I'm in one of the spare rooms in Barstow. But, yeah, I keep that arm ready to go. It was active a month after our World Series win with the Team USA. Now, it's just a routine.
Starting point is 00:32:36 I get to spend some time now with my boys. They won the first thing I did getting off the plane a couple days ago. Hey, Dad, meet us at a place called EM, and we're going to, we want you to throw to us. So it's going to be every day with my two sons, get to spend a lot of time with them, my daughters, my grandkids. So this arm is going to stay in shape. The more runs we score, the more games we're going to win. So that's the mentality I have. And I can't wait.
Starting point is 00:33:02 What do we got? A couple more months to go, and then we're going to report to spring training back to Tokyo, Japan, to playing the Tokyo Dome against the Cubs. So I need a week off or two, and I'll be ready to go. That's going to be some good stuff. You know, I'm imagining part of that routine. You got one quick one for you from our live stream audience, and then we'll let you go. What's Dino Ebel's relationship like now these days with oatmeal? You still on like 50 buckets of oatmeal a day?
Starting point is 00:33:32 Yeah, you know what? I haven't had it in about the last month because we were in Tokyo. So, yeah, I try to eat. I don't probably eat as much. Instead of four bowls at Starbucks, I get two now. But that's just something I enjoy. I try to eat as healthy as I can. I'm getting little older.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Hey, I got to stay in shape for these guys. We're on the field every day at 2 o'clock. So I'm ready for them. I said, you're never going to outwork me. So I got to stay in shape. So keep it going. No doubt. You're the best.
Starting point is 00:33:59 We appreciate you so much. Thanks so much for coming on with Clint and I. Best of luck the rest of the way. Happy Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. We'll see you before we know it at Camel Brack Ranch. All right. Thanks for having Neon.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Take it easy. Dino Evil, the best. Let's get to Las Licks. Let's do it. All right. It is always Sunny in Philadelphia, but let's look at Sunny, everybody. It is always Sunny in Los Angeles. And this is baby Sunny. She's a one-year-old Kelpy mix. She is active. She is wonderful. She is healthy. She is ready to go for her forever home. She's about, like I said, a year old, vaccinated, great with kids, great with other dogs, great with all the things. So if you are interested in learning more about Sunny, she's pint-sized. She's a medium-sized dog.
Starting point is 00:34:47 Would be great on hikes and walks and all the fun activities. Check us out at giddreysgardian.org or hit us on the socials. We would appreciate that very much. Clint, it's always fun to have a conversation with Dino. He's very giving of his time. He's very energetic. I mean, you can tell the man lives and breathes, you know, eats and drinks baseball. Yeah, I love Dino.
Starting point is 00:35:07 He's one of my favorite baseball people to listen to. He's another one of those guys. As you get me in a room with him or Mark Pryor, Connor McGinnis, I'm going to be talking ball with these dudes for hours on end. You can just keep going. A wealth of knowledge. And just, I mean, a great dude, just a really, really good person. Like all of the Dodgers, you know, organization is. They only bring in good people.
Starting point is 00:35:31 And that's why they pull together through all the adversity. Lesser teams would have fallen apart during all of the bullshit they had to go through this year. right there at the top. Dave Roberts pulls all these guys together together, understands the generals he has in place. And Dino's one of those guys as well. He can lean on in times of need. No doubt about that.
Starting point is 00:35:54 All right. Did you happen to see the amount as we go to our final baseball thought of our show of the flipping postseason bonuses? A full share, 477,000 for basically almost half a million dollars to each full postseason share for the Dodgers. and then the Yankees received about 355,000 a share for winning the AL Pennant. That is a postseason pool worth a record $129.1 million. So, Clint, let's say you got a full share, basically $478,000.
Starting point is 00:36:26 What do you spend it on? Oh, man. Listen, I'm very practical. I saved my money as most as much as I can. I already have it all. I got a great co-host here on Dodgers territory. Lies, lies, lies. Listen to Morgan Wallens' new song.
Starting point is 00:36:42 I will say, your boy doesn't vacation. I don't vacation. I like to spend my money on dumb things. I get the own or bottles of booze. Hey, shout out. Jack Daniels, call me. Maybe I'll actually go somewhere in my life and do something. What about you, Riz?
Starting point is 00:36:58 What are you doing with that kind of, that kind of... If I had 478 Gs, I would definitely save a lot of dogs, but I would save them in really, really sick clothing. Like, everything would be like Louis Vuitton. Like I'd have like Louis Vuitton like leashes and collars, you know. So I'm saving the world, but I'm doing it in style. No, I would actually, I would, I'd pay off probably like a mortgage for one of my family members or something. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:25 I'd be, but whatever I did, I'd be drinking Dom Pernion and Louis Vuitton with whatever I was doing. Luckily, what the Dodgers do is they invest for us to keep trying to go out and win more money. And then we can keep having this hypothetical, hopefully a year from now when the Dodgers, win it again. But, uh, hey, let's circle back. Let's wrap this up, guys. Blake Snell is going to be a Dodger. Dino Ebel is a great time. You guys should hit that thumbs up button. You guys should subscribe to this channel. Uh, we're trying to get to 6,000 subscribers. We might have hit it during this show. But if we didn't help us get there, um, you know, we can't subscribe on our own. I mean, we can, but that's only two people. I mean, I've told all, I would maybe use that 478,000 to
Starting point is 00:38:06 tell 470,000 people to subscribe and give them each a dollar. You get one. That's what I'm If you subscribe. But like Alana said at the top of the show, we will be back on Monday. It will be a mailbag show unless something else special pops up. So stay tuned for that. Everybody have a happy, healthy Thanksgiving. Hopefully you don't have too many crazies in the house. But if you do, again, Jack Daniels.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Goes a long way. Sponsor your boy. That's about it. Alana, always fun doing this. Have a great rest of your week, everybody. Go Dodgers. Bye. Peace to the planet.
