And then Alex Vesia locks it down for the save in the bottom of the ninth against the Sincereads, who, of course, they're fighting for a wildcard spot. So this is a very, very meaningful game for them and their momentum. For us, it was, and the Dodgers, it was a very meaningful game for our hearts and our souls. Two wins in a row. Is that a win streak, Riz? You know, yes, it is. And did you, by any chance, did you have any sort of a little bit of heart, like a hurt heart for Gavin Lux? Like, part of me was like, I still, I still, I like, I love Gavin. And he tried so hard and like the trade was hard. Yeah, but, you know, he's also like a grown-up,

adult boy there in Sincere. He kind of gets to be the man there in Sincy. And, you know, it's always fun when you move and your friends come to town and you get a single. Is it fun, though? Like, I think he'd rather be on the Dodgers. Yeah, yeah, for sure. My point is, good job, Dodgers.

I mean, Tyler Glassnow wasn't as crisp tonight as we've seen him in his first three outings off of the IL. And you know what I liked about him in the fifth inning when he got into trouble and he left with bases loaded, I believe? It almost looked like he was like, you know what?

Tonight's just not my night. Maybe it was the humidity. Maybe it was the heat and cincy. But he was honest about how he felt. Like he was like, okay. I mean, he didn't really fight it, which I can appreciate. Like you want somebody that's on it because you know he's a competitor. First of all, gee, Stephen Q buzzed Alana's my, I'm not buzzed.

Does everyone, like, if I'm in a good mood, people assume I'm a drunk, which is annoying. But I wanted to focus on the Heson Kim side of this because obviously Kim was one of those guys, a lot of people, a lot of us were fighting for getting more playing time, put him in the starting lineup. He got that opportunity, didn't work out all that hot. You wonder if it's the shoulder thing that was bugging him. I don't know when the shoulder issue happened. He is on a plane,

or I'm assuming he's back here in L.A. already for an injection in that achy shoulder that's coming from Dave Roberts. But you look at the numbers. The swing and miss. No, that's the thing. The strikeouts are they went sagering yeah yeah i mean the numbers wise so through the end of june 30th he was hitting 389 obviously he was never going to sustain that but 21 games in july a buck 93 ops just a hair over 400 and uh is is it is it all that shoulder is the shoulder forcing him to kind of adjust or did was he just trying to do too much as the team was struggling i kind of feel I mean, probably a combination, but I think trying to do too much led to a lot of his woes. I don't know.

You were clamoring for him to play every day. Because I wanted to see it. I wanted to see it. Well, he's had enough plate appearances now, right? He's had enough. Is it really a shoulder issue or is it really like you need to go back to AAA and figure the shit out? You know, you need to rehab. Mm-hmm.

And then you need to go figure it out. Maybe he's really hurt. I hope not. But I just, I don't know. Like, I just, I need. the team that we thought we were going to get at the beginning of the year to be healthy. I need to field a healthy team of people that are healthy that are proven. Yeah, I mean, they're close.

Unfortunately, you know, we've had some some dudes just kind of not carrying their end of the bargain. And the front office, they seem to believe they're buying in on the idea that your confortos, your mukis, your taos are all going to come back. as you've said, you know, kind of positively regress to the mean. And I understand people are going to say, oh, that's a progression, but you don't say progress to the mean. Well, first of all, I'm not putting, I'm not putting Confordo in the same conversation as Muky and task.

Okay. It's fair. Okay. What are you doing? That's fair. Come on. I'm just saying. I don't like this.

All of those guys together, if they're playing better, would be, you know, better for the team is what I'm wording at you about. How do you, I mean, for the most part, their health? How do you feel about this team right this second? July 29th, two days away from the, two days away from the trade deadline. Season ends today. We're going to the postseason tomorrow. How do you feel?

Postseason tomorrow is a different question, different story for sure. But considering where we were at yesterday morning or yesterday afternoon, where I wasn't mad, I was just disappointed, suddenly two wins later, I feel a lot better. I think there is something in there. I think the biggest thing is I can't answer that now question. I need to see it in a week. A week and change when Max Muncie comes back and gets back in that lineup. That's going to be the biggest difference maker for me, maybe some other additions we could talk about next.

But I feel like they have pieces. They have enough pieces. It's still an incredibly talented ball club. They just kind of need to continue pulling their heads out of their asses. I don't think their heads have ever been in their asses respectfully. I just feel like they've not going to. All right. So are we taking a break and then talking trade rumors?

Andrew Friedman knows him super well, right? from their time in Tampa Bay. Like, I think that's a massive, massive bit. Yeah, I mean, there should be. I'm sure there's enough.

There's enough of a crossover. That is a good point, good question there, or a good thing to bring up. But I know a lot of teams are going to be in on somebody like Pete Fairbanks. And, you know, Tampa is still kind of somewhat in the mix there with, in the AL Wildcard hunt. I don't think they're very far out of it. So not that Kike is old, but he's kind of just like a different flavor of Akke Hernandez. Like he's not as crazy, but he's wiry. And that is something that is good. I do think Harrison Bader is going to end up being the guy they get. I'm not thrilled about it. But I do think. First of all, why do you think that's the guy that they're going to get? And why are you not thrilled about it?

Just gut, instinct. I don't know. I'm not, he doesn't, he's a needle mover. I think the important thing is I need to always remind myself that it is an improvement over James Outman and Estuary Ruiz on the current active roster because both of, I said him. Conforto. Conforto would go to the bench immediately if he's not traded, but Conforto would go to the bench immediately as, you know, Bader takes over and left, or takes over in center and you fix kind of that alignment, that the outfield defense issues. Yeah, but the gut just tells me this is the most likely option right now.

Minnesota has a number of relievers, and we know in an ideal world, if Andrew was trading with the team, he wants multiple pieces back. It's not going to be Yohan Duran despite Hug Watch tonight. He's not going to be him. Yon Hsner-N's not getting traded. No.

He's not. But Griffin Jacks is one of those guys. How about old friend, Brock Stewart? There's a name for you. He's been nails for the last couple of years. He has. Beef's been good. Yeah.

He's been good. I don't know. I just, I think that's going to, that ends up being the angle they go. I think Dodgers in Minnesota finally make enough sense. The Twinkies are out of it right now. I mean, five games behind in the wild card at the moment. Maybe it's worse because I haven't hit refresh. But Cole, same.

I kind of feel like this as well. Bader is not necessarily a needle mover. It's not, it moves a needle. Because, again, you need to think of it as improvements over Outman and Ruiz on the active roster right now. And that is 100% how I think of it. But, I mean, we'll see. I'm definitely wrong. I'm definitely wrong.

But I don't know. But I wouldn't be happy with either of those. I would be happy with Juan. I would be happy with Bader. I would be happy with an addition. Sure. The other day you asked me on our show, and you're like,

what are the things that you absolutely need to have at the deadline? I said an outfielder that can hit another bullpen arm, and Dustin made of the bullpen. So whether it's Stephen Kwan or Harrison Bader, I would take either one of those dudes. I'd be fine with that. How about this one? So this was a little bit of a hypothetical here.

The backstory to the one of the tweet I'm about to put up is we saw earlier this week the Yankees having some interest in Dustin May. How about that that was actually true, but okay. Is it not? Like kind of get folks ready for the idea that, yeah, the Dodgers might acquire a player or two. They aren't going to be superstar, MVP, all-star types, not that that's what this team needs. to a massive deal if it works out great if it doesn't like no love lost it's no skin off your back, correct? No. He did say he only wanted to pitch for the Dodgers. He claims he's healthy. Yeah, he's allegedly healthy. Probably would need a couple of weeks to ramp up at, you know, in the minor leagues and all that.

So really, by the time he maybe comes back, would come back and be healthy and available to pitch for this team, you might have other bodies back, bruised arcadradorol. Who else? Maybe a River Ryan, maybe a Kyle Hurt, even though we're not. We haven't heard as much about those type of dudes. But to just be able to get yourself a pocket Joe Kelly and stash him away, break in case of emergency sort of thing, it's literally going to cost you chump change. You go out and make that move for somebody who's got 99 in his back pocket

and a nasty curveball that he loves to throw a billion times. Kenneth was asking earlier, misspelling my name, which is all good. I don't really care. But what about Ramon Luriano? No, Luriano is another one of those dudes I really like. It's intriguing. He hasn't played much center field of late over the last couple of years, but he does have center field in his, you know, on his baseball reference,

plays the corners well, having a really good season in Baltimore. I would have very little issue with the Ramon Luriano. I would take Luriano over Harrison Bader for some reason. Is this something? Maybe it's the Cardinals thing for me. Like, yeah, I understand Tommy Edmunds. is, I think Harrison Bader is better than you think he is. I really do.

Maybe I heard Yankees fans bitch too much from when he was a Yankee for they bitch for everything. They would throw Aaron Judge under the bus and a heartbeat.
