This is a team that has the offense.
Suddenly, that offense for this team looks a little less like it's on life support waiting
to be put down.
What is going on party people?
How are we doing on this Tuesday night?
My name is Clint Bacios.
It's just me tonight.
Just me solo.
Alana Rizzo is out for the evening.
She'll be back with me on Thursday.
So it's just us.
I hope you'll consider hanging out with me.
I hope you'll consider giving this show.
Thumbs up, subscribing to the channel, all of that kind of stuff.
The Dodgers won a ball game.
The Dodgers have won three ball games in a row.
I feel good.
I feel a lot better than I did on Friday, on Saturday, and all of those days before then.
Joe, saying in the chat, good Lord, this feels better.
And yeah, I mean, I don't know.
There's just something washing over me.
This is a different kind of feeling.
I missed it.
I missed it, guys.
I told you to like the show.
I told you to subscribe.
I want to tell you to buy our stuff.

But go ahead, load up the comments.
I'm interested in hearing what people thought about this game.
I'm pretty sure people.
People are feeling pretty dang good about it.
There are multiple big stories for this Dodgers victory.
You see it on the screen, 7 to 2.
You got to beat the Rockies, and so far they have done it twice.
Emmett Sheehan, absolutely dominant.
Absolutely, one of the big stories of this game.
We're going to get to Emmett in a bit.
Mookie Betts continues to be all the way back.
I see Mixel Fixel in the chat saying, I know, I always messed that name up,
But Mookie, Teo haters, where are you at?
You know, I mean, I think there were more Teo concerners.
Mookie, I mean, you definitely had some Mookie haters at different points of the season.
You know, about time to be quiet for some of those folks.
The other big story, Teasca Hernandez, might have woken up.
That's enough for me for hitting that thumbs up button, liking this episode.
because if Tay Oscar Hernandez gets going, my sweet word, people,
this is a different kind of ball club.
Before we get into those storylines,
I want to talk about something that was very important.
Ultimately, he ended up scoring the first run.
Will Smith returns to the lineup after missing a couple of days
with a foul ball taken off of his hand,
did his best as a catcher to hide his hand,
did not quite hide it well enough,
and thankfully avoided major damage.
to kind of monitor that hand for the rest of the season, but didn't really skip a beat there,
doubles in his first at bat, scores the run. The most important thing is he lengthens this
lineup. And this is something Alana and I have been talking about. I've been talking about it
everywhere on the internet. The importance of getting good players, living players back in the
lineup. And I'm sorry I know this season I have overused that Montgomery Burden's
Simpsons line. If the Dodgers win, I will retire it most likely. But getting Will Smith back
in this lineup, Lincoln's in lineup so dang much, especially with Max Muncie also back in the lineup.
And I'm going to go ahead and throw the comments on the screen. Guys keep sounding off.
I want to know everybody's thoughts. Again, it's just you and us, me and you, or you and us, whatever.
So I'm going to hang out with everybody here. Listen, I'm going to temper expectations a little bit.
Yeah, we feel good.
the Dodgers have rattled off what now three wins in a row two of those against the Rockies
you got to temper expectations a little bit it is against the Rockies but we did ask on
Monday we asked beat bad teams you got to beat bad teams that's the the calling sign of a good
ball club and they're doing it they're doing it against the Rockies so far in two games in my sweet
lord the starting pitching I want to talk about that in a second but yeah they're beating
the bad teams. They're doing it. They're doing it. They're doing it well. And one of the things,
one of the players, one of the people that really, really helped out tonight. You guys remember
this dude, Tia O'Hernandez? We all loved him last year. We loved him at the start of this year.
And we've been hurting. We have been hurting for Teo for months now. But of late, it's been a different,
different level of pain. And he's on right now, the post game, SportsN. LA post game,
getting a much earned interview with Kirsten Watson.
Three hit night, two bombas, lays out the bat head for a single through the right side,
using different clubs, something I talked about this week on the YouTube as well.
Is this, like, was that the one?
Was that first homer?
Was that the one that gets him back?
Because if this team has Teoska Hernandez back, watch out in the postseason.
They needed, they've needed Teosso.
Oscar Hernandez to do Teoscar Hernandez things.
And I don't know about you guys.
He needed that first one to get him going.
I feel like he got it going.
I feel like there's something there.
I feel like the vibes are good.
The very first comment we had in the stream from my friend,
I be stroking.
Is Teo back?
There's your question of the night guys.
Is Teo back?
I feel like Teo's back.
Michael Negretti earlier in the chat.
Clint is feeling a lot gooder.
Is Clint back?
Clint is all the way back.
I feel good.
I feel like this is the team.
This is the team we've been waiting for for the last month and change.
They've been playing bad baseball for a long time.
And yeah, there are some things you can nitpick in this game.
Kirby Yates to end the game, a little bit of defense in that fifth inning,
sixth inning when Amityan lost the no-hitter,
maybe a little miscommunication there with Max Muncie and Michael Conforto.
Ultimately, the Dodgers won a ball game.
That's what you should.
be looking for victories and then we clean up things along the way. I mentioned, listen, we got to
talk Amishian in a second. We're talking Teo now. Got to talk about Marcus Lynn Betts some more because
Muky, I dare say, also all the way back. And I think we've all known that. I think we've all
known that for quite some time. A pair of hits, a couple of ribbies. He really got the scoring going
in this game with a two run. I think it was a double early in the game.
This is a dude who, I mean, we've seen it in over the last six seasons now.
Well, five seasons before this and then he struggled obviously this year.
But when Marcus Lynn Betts is right and you see it on the screen there, since a month ago,
since he said my season is done, I just want to find ways to contribute to this team.
He's fucking contributed to this team hitting 319, six homers over that stretch.
OPS just under 900.
You get Mookiee going again.
You get TAYO going again.
Freddie Freeman, chips and a homer.
Again, I don't know about you guys.
I have been one of those people.
I lost the faith.
I lost the faith over the weekend.
That Yamamoto game, it crushed me.
I think it crushed all of us.
We deserve to be crushed.
I hoped.
I prayed.
I asked that that be rock bottom,
that there be nowhere lower to go,
because it means nowhere to go.
but up and they've gone up rapidly.
Again, this is the Rockies they were facing.
But you got to beat bad teams.
I'm going to say it again.
You got to beat bad teams.
And that is what they're doing.
And Teo doing good things tonight.
Mookie doing good things over the last month and change.
You get Mookie going right.
Heading into the postseason.
That's a boy that can do some damage.
We know that.
This felt different, right?
I want to look at the chat here because it felt,
it felt like the Dodgers.
This felt like the Los Angeles Dodgers to me,
because at least offensively,
all of the guys I just said,
even Shohei doing some good things,
a walk, a single in there, I believe,
or a double in there.
Again, we get this lineup going.
You get these guys going.
You add Teosker and Ed,
I'm sorry, Tommy Edmund back to the lineup tomorrow
where suddenly, suddenly that thing I complained about earlier,
the miscommunication in left field,
that's not going to be Michael Conforto out there anymore.
This probably, knock on desk,
this was Michael Conforto's last start as a Dodger in the regular season.
I pray, I hope, or at least his last regular start in the regular season,
because you look up and down that scorecard.
Yeah, months had an O for four today.
Another O for four for Michael Conforto down to 192 on the season,
622 OPS.
I'm going to feel a lot better with 2024 National League Championship Series
MVP Tommy Edmund back in that lineup.
And he comes back tomorrow.
I'm going to come back in a second.
I got a lot more.
I'm going to talk pitching.
We're going to talk about Alex Fessio being back,
but we got to hear first from the boys over at Fowl territory.
F.T. Fam, let's talk about Fair Harbor.
And if you're listening,
I hope that you watch this conversation at some point
because we're doing show and telecrats.
Shorts, they can be used as a bathing suit.
And the liner, which we call butter,
is the game breaker.
It's the playmaker because it's different.
You've worn shorts that are not like this.
and the liner sucks.
They are buttery.
On your butt.
I just came up with something for them.
Your liner sucks.
Get Fair Harbor liner.
Seriously.
Give it a shot.
I'm not just saying this.
The butter analogy plays.

Emmett Sheehan was electric tonight, ladies and gentlemen.
This is a kid that went out pitching for a postseason spot, a spot on that postseason roster.
I think he got it.
Seven innings.
Five of those were of the no-hit variety.
I think it was five.
I forget if it was the fifth or the sixth inning.
I don't know.
Time has no meeting, but three hits, one earn, one walk, nine punchies.
93 pitches.
He's just got
he's got something to him.
This kid has something to him, of course.
Dodgers were without him last year as he recovered from Tommy John surgery,
sprained his elbow or damaged his elbow.
Got hurt during spring training.
They're all hurt, but earlier on my All-Dodgers YouTube channel,
we talked about the postseason, you know, the pitching side of the
roster what that could look like your 13 pitchers plus show hey otani making it 14 pitchers um you know
we talked about this guy likely being a lock i initially in the morning when i made my roster
by big board roster i did not have emmon on it i i wanted him on it i just thought there
was not enough room then i thought about it and i was like how can you have emmitchian on the
taxi squad instead of edgaro henriquez who in
his own right has been good. And spoiler alert, Kirby Yates is not on my postseason roster.
He should be on nobody's postseason roster for the love of all that is holy. That's another
conversation we'll have in a minute. But Emmett Sheehan, he's got nasty stuff. The change is good.
The fastball is electric. He has the command. He can give you one or two innings. He can give
you five or six innings. And I think having him over a one inning, 100.
mile an hour type of dude in edgarto henriquez again been very very good richie in the chat saying
that i'm an emmette hater oh no no no no we're not doing that i'd be stroken pointing out sorry
ed gargo for those who know you definitely know um emmitchian's got to be on the he's a lock he's a lock for
the postseason roster the stuff is just too good justin rebliskey's a lock on my roster as well
his stuff is just too good but i think tonight if if he was
pitching for this was an audition for a postseason role or just a spot on that 13 man
pitching roster. I think he solidified his spot. I think he's a lock. I think he locked it and
threw away the key. The kid was so dang good. I see says she and a lock for the bullpen for sure.
E.B. Listen, E.B. This is another conversation. I really want to have. It feels like more of an
offseason conversation. But the starting pitching in 2026 for this team, it's going to be insane
with some of these guys coming back. Gavin Stone, River Ryan, Kyle Hurt will be alive and well at
some point in time. We're not there yet. I'm talking about 2025. I'm talking about this team
trying to win a World Series. Absolutely stunned to see this one from Mike in the chat,
doomed Sal saying he's taking
Yates over Henriquez and
unless it's opposite
day, listen, I respect your opinion
I respect your insight and
all the things that you do covering the team
if you guys don't know, Mike does a great job
covering minor league baseball here on
this YouTube and on this internet machine
but Kirby Yates has
shown me nothing. Alex Renteria
saying to the chat, Yates is not ready.
I can see him giving up bombs in the postseason.
We saw him giving up bombs in the ninth inning
of a blowout victory for the
Dodgers tonight.
You know, if we're talking about how good this game was for Sheehan, followed by Alex Vescia,
being back.
Great to have Vest back in there.
He had said before the game, like, he kind of needed a little bit of a break.
We're not calling it a Phantom I-L stint.
We're not not calling it a Phantom I-L stint.
But for all of the good of that, Kirby Yates, I don't know.
By the way, I mean, for Vesia, they did option.
Ben Casperius to
AAA where maybe that is an open opportunity
to get both Henrique's and Sheean
on the roster admittedly
Gisperius has not been phenomenal
in the second half of the season. I like him.
I like his stuff. I think he's nasty.
I think he got a little, I wouldn't say overused,
but I think he got maybe a little dicked around,
especially in the early part of the season, or the middle part of the season
where he was thrown into the bullpen and then
thrown into the rotation and then taken out
and all this kind of crap.
didn't really settle back into his role.
So hopefully a little bit of a respite, a little bit of a break,
kind of exhale at AAA, much like Alex Vessia did.
Maybe that gets him back on track.
But Kirby Yates gets the first two outs for allowing a solo homer to Hunter Goodman,
follows that up with a double, and you saw the frustration.
You saw the disappointment in Kirby Yates in his face.
and we share that same disappointment.
We share that if he's going to be getting opportunities,
he's got two more weeks.
He's got 17 games to prove that he deserves a roster spot in October.
Is he on that postseason roster for you guys?
He's not on mine.
He is not on mine.
I have seen enough over the course of this season,
particularly over these last few months where when he has,
been healthy and active.
It's just there's too much slug.
It was a little bit too much slug.
I've seen Carl saying no on Yates in the chat.
Richie Stevie Wonder can't believe how bad Yates is.
Ouch.
I see asking, what are the Dodgers going to do with Hini?
I don't know.
I hope nothing, to be honest.
Keep him at AAA.
That's where he belongs.
You know, he was some weird signing,
maybe a length signing at AAA.
This is news to me.
Elisheva saying Dave Roberts said Graderow will be in the bullpen in the postseason.
I did not see that today.
I know there was a mention of if he's well, if he's ready.
He's somebody that Dave trusts to be in the bullpen because, you know, he's done it.
He's been there in the postseason.
I have all the faith in the world in Bruzdar Gratterol.
Take Bruzdar Gratterol throwing no regular season pitches over Kirby Yates in that
postseason roster, in a heartbeat, potentially.
I take Bruzdar over Baby Bazooka and Edgardo Henriquez.
But, you know, there are also some very tough conversations to be had for some of the other
guys who have been around.
Jack Dreyer needs to be a lock.
Of course, Vesia is a lock.
Anthony Bonda has been really, really good in the second half of the season.
Ben Casparius doesn't end up getting back on track at AAA.
He's somebody who could be, you know,
that that could be the spot where Bruzdar kind of slides in or something like that.
But, hey, suddenly we're talking about all these names and you got the, I got a little smile on my face again thinking about options.
Good, good players, living players.
I'm sorry, I said it again.
It's just me tonight.
I can do whatever I want.
Well, it's me and you guys.
But having that optionality, having competition to end the season, you know,
Dave likes to say that nobody is guaranteed for a roster spot.
That was a little bit of, well, a little bit of a lie.
It's a little bit of a Dave wash.
It's a little bit of also trying to light a fire under Tayasca Hernandez's ass.
But that should go for people in the bullpen.
That should go firmly more fire under somebody like Tanner Scott's ass, who, yeah, he got to save yesterday.
You would have preferred a perfect inning out of him.
He is in a tough situation, and I hope he gets his brain back on track.
because obviously we know how good Tanner Scott is.
Cole, I'm going to end on this one for this section of the show.
Cole says pour one out for Benny Caps, and we will.
I'm going to pour some monster into my gullet.
And then we're going to hear once again from our friends over Fowel Territory.

But I saw a couple people in the chat bringing it up.
I said it heading into the break there.
Cambria pointing out, Clint, you forgot some of the best news of the night.
The Padres loss.
right. They lose late to the Reds. Hashtag go Reds. Hashtag, that's my boy Gavin Lux
over there. It's a really, really bad. Hashtag Matthew saying, go Reds, Daniel Barry Sports,
saying go Reds. I saved this one from earlier, but I just wanted to put it up. Also,
another one from Richie said there's no chance. Chance of a Conforto Bobblehead Night. That's
a negatory there, buddy. Ivy Stroke in pointing out,
It likes how a Dodgers win boost the algorithm.
Yeah, winning.
Winning is a lot better than losing.
But Padre's lost.
That's a huge loss.
Dodgers now have a two-game lead in the National League West again.
Let's double check what the Phillies have done so far.
I don't know what they did.
I don't know if they won or lost tonight.
But, you know, at this point, what is it?
They won.
So at this point with, what is that?
I'm bad at math. You guys know this. Four games behind the Phillies for that number two spot.
I think the Dodgers go into the postseason as the three seed. It is what it is.
You know, there's still some time. Is it a three game lead? Somebody said it was a three game lead.
I don't think it's a three game lead. I think it's a two game lead, Alex.
But I'm kind of resigned to the fact that the Dodgers are not going to get a not going to get that first round by.
it is what it is.
I would have liked to have had it again for a multitude of reasons.
One, bragging rights.
Two, the team seems to have found out how to kind of work that, use that time off to bond and whatever it is.
Whatever worked last year, I think they could have done it again.
It is what it is at this point.
The Dodgers will likely be that three-seat or playing.
What is that?
they're still going to get a, is it a first round by or not first round by?
Do they play in the wild card?
I am bad at remembering how the postseason works.
Probably should have prepared better to talk about this part, but it is what it is.
It's free entertainment, guys.
You're getting what you get out of me.
The important thing is Dodgers have a two-game lead.
The Padres lose.
Keep on losing.
You got to watch out for the Giants, by the way.
Maybe a little less so in the NL West.
They are seven games behind the Dodgers at the Marlins.
moment. But that wild card, that lead for that third spot, that third wildcard spot, it's shrinking
for those New York Mets. Things are getting interesting. They are, uh, giants are two games back
in the wild card now. And of course, they, they play the Dodgers, seven games starting on
Friday, seven games over the course of, what is it, 10 days, something like that, a week and
change. Hold on to your butts. One of my
move on. I see somebody in the chat. Actually, somebody dropped a super chat. Don't care.
187. Appreciate you. I don't have my button on. And also I don't do the button on this show.
Asking, does Roki need Tommy John? His velocity is way down in AAA. So Roki Sasaki got some
headlines today. He made his, what, fifth, sixth start at AAA, arguably his best start.
And funny enough, don't care mentioning the velocity down. In this start, it was his highest velocity
yet. He was touching 99 with the fastball. You see here, according to Dodger Insider, at least six
pitches were, or six pitches at least 100 miles an hour. The line was good up to getting into the
fifth inning, which, you know, it's his first time being stretched out to the fifth inning again
for quite some time. But looking at that, the eight Ks, I think he had those over the first three
innings or something like that. It's an extreme long shot for Roke.
Sosaki to be a factor for this team.
He's not going to get, I will tell you right now, chiseling in stone, he will not be a part
of the postseason rotation in any conceivable way unless like, well, I don't even want
to put the injuries into the ethos.
I think there's still so many.
I have another Simpsons line I could use, but I'm not going to use it here.
It's about nine misfortunes.
He can do good.
I think Roki Sasaki is more of a 2026 play.
I am kind of curious to see if, I mean, if he keeps building up,
he's somebody who could be on the taxi squad for this team,
if there is a matchup or a reason for him to get on some sort of postseason roster
and not to touch into hubris here and say that the Dodgers will advance in the postseason
and get past the NLDS and all this kind of stuff.
But looking at matchups, looking at the right situation,
if Roki makes sense to be a long dude or if there is an Emmett Shee in or a Justin Rebleski injury or something like that.
Keep him building up.
If the stuff looks good over short bursts, I'm perfectly fine with that.
If it turns into some sort of piggyback situation, this is just spitball in here.
But a piggyback situation with like Shohei followed by Roki or whatever,
because I do not think Shohei Otani should be throwing four or five innings in the postseason for a myriad of reasons.
one, he's kind of not been great at, you know, going longer in games.
He's been good, of course.
But that's later in the games is kind of when he gives up some stuff.
But more so, the more he's taxed, the harder he works on the mound, it does affect.
You cannot refute the fact that it affects his offense.
Still very, very good.
He's still an MVP.
He's still far and away.
The MVP favorite when you're looking at odds.
But if it's shorter burst outings, three, you know, three innings or something.
something like that for show A.
I don't know about y'all.
I feel a lot better about that one.
Kenny says, unless the wheels all fall off.
Kenny, we're not looking for that kind of negativity or reality, I guess we'll say.
But it is a reality.
It is a reality for sure.
Let's see what else we got in the chat before we do get out of here.
I don't want to keep going to, here we go.
Mike had the insight into Roki Sasaki's outing there.
He did it in the fifth, had his best rehab start tonight.
But in his opinion as well, we'll not be ready until 2026.
And then again, like I said, that 2026 starting rotation, it's going to be really, really good.
Because as of right now, I mean, you look at what this team has done of late.
This is for my buddy, Blake Harris, over the last four starts in particular, of course,
starting with that painful near-no-no from Yamamoto over the weekend.
I mean, eight and two-thirds, one earned 10Ks for Yamamoto.
Clayton Kirshall follows that up.
Five and two-thirds, eight Ks over the weekend.
Tyler Glasnow, seven innings, 11 punchees against the rocks.
She and tonight, 9Ks over seven.
That's good.
Breaking news, that is really good stuff right there.
You pay a lot of money to have that kind of performance,
those kind of results from your starting rotation.
And that's not including Blake Snell, the two-time Sy Young Award winner,
the likely game two starter postseason starter for this team.
It's a wealth of pitches.
It's something like this, the type of run,
the type of power that they have in the starting rotation.
I mean, it's lazy,
and this will be the last thing I talk about before we do get out of here.
Appreciate you guys hanging out with me on this Tuesday night,
solo edition.
Again, Lana, we'll be back on Thursday with me.
Lazy, but I kind of throw back a little bit.
Harkens back to the two,
2002, 2003 teams, those pitching staffs, if you guys are old enough to remember, just really, really good pitching overall, but the offense just didn't produce the way it should have for those teams with some of the names they had on there.
That was before Adrian Beltray learned how to hit, essentially.
He was still a very good baseball player, was not the Hall of Fame or he eventually became at that point, you know, waiting on Sean Green to, well, not waiting.
I guess waiting on Sean Green to get it back.
he had it in 2002 and then he had the shoulder issue.
Maybe that wasn't in 03.
That might have happened in 04.
But they had some good players on there.
Paul Leduca, of course, you know, my buddy Paul Leduca, shout out steroids for him.
Cesar Asturis, Alex Cora, boo, boo, boo, boo.
They just didn't have quite the offense.
This is a team that has the offense.
Suddenly that offense for this team looks a little less like it's on life support waiting
to be put down.
And maybe, just maybe this Dodgers offense is ready to quiet the noise over these final two weeks and change of the regular season.
Bring that into October.
Shut down all the haters.
Give Mookie every microphone you can with Ken Rosenthal because they not like us, part two.
There are still some questions, and we will continue to address those questions over the next couple of weeks here on Dodgers territory.
Of course, on my old Dodgers show, of course, the boys will hand.
handle it on foul territory as well.
Defense is a question. Bullpen is a question.
But this team,
this team can be really, really good, guys.
And maybe, as I like to always point out,
maybe we just went through the low,
went through the bad point of the story
where everything is like, oh, no,
is something bad going to,
I don't know I'm being so handsy with this,
but is something bad going to happen to our hero?
Our heroes in this case,
don't idolize these people.
But anyways, you get the point.
that might have been the low point.
The weekend might have been the low point
and let's hope and pray that it was
and that they keep on trending up, up, up,
all the way through the end of October
and 11 more wins in the month of October.
I appreciate you guys hanging out with me
on this edition, solo edition of Dodgers territory.
It was fun.
Hopefully you guys had some fun as well.
Sorry I didn't get to enough of the chats.
I wanted to get through more of them.
It is difficult to keep a rhythm,
keep a cadence of something upbeat while also trying to read through the chats.
But I love all of you, especially you right there, sir, or madam.
You have been great on the show.
Again, I will be back.
Alana will be back on Thursday, 12 p.m. Pacific time, 3 p.m. Eastern time.
Appreciate if you guys tune in then.
We don't know who the guest is going to be, but we will likely have a guest.
Support the show by checking out the Dodgers Territory Shop at dodgersterritoryshop.com.
I know Alana just bought her stuff.
She's got some sweet, sweet swag on the way.
You see some of mine back here.
I've got the Dodgers Territory mug.
I got the hat.
Other things that have a shirt somewhere.
I don't have it in here because I messed up on that regard.
But you can look cool like us too.
And the Dodgers play better when you're wearing Dodgers territory merch.
Anyways, that's all I got.
I'll see you on the next one.
Bye.
