The miles change how you move, but more importantly, they change how you show up for your life.
I'm Emily Abadi.
On The Hurtle with Emily Abadi podcast, I sit down with elite athletes, record holders, coaches, and everyday runners to unpack the mindset behind pushing through when things get tough.
Because the discipline, grace, and grit you build out there on the pavement, that's what helps you show up as your best self everywhere else.
I'd just love to say, I never know who's watching.
So you want to make sure you, you through and through, and you just stay true to who you are.

Hey, what's up?
I'm Tony Gonzalez.
And I'm October Gonzalez.
But you can call me Toby.
We want you to join us on our new podcast, No Safe Words, with October and Tony Gonzalez.
We get real about marriage, parenthood, sex, divorce, and all the nitty-gritty stuff we all think
about, but just don't say out loud.
You're probably just going to be some rich guy and he's going to whisk you away.
This is awkward.

I believe that whoever was in that room and did that was a murderer.
A new podcast series, Faultline Haditha, tells the story of a shocking crime and a cover-up
at the highest levels of the United States Marine Corps.
If you've got five players and you offer immunity to four, you better be right about the Fed.
Because if you're not, then you've just given immunity to your killer.

Any time in my career that I would try to like fast forward to think about like the outcome
of something, it ends up just like adding more mental stress that you can't control.
And welcome to this Thursday live brand new episode of Dodgers territory.
Clint Paseas, Katie Wu, Alana Rizzo with you for the next 30 minutes.
We are psyched that you guys are here.
Get the comments into the chat.
We are going to talk all things wild card action.
coming up. But first, we have a very special guest, Tyler Glassnow, joining the show.
Tyler Glass now joining us now on this very special episode of Dodgers Territory.
Glass, we appreciate you taking the time. I know that everybody, certainly the fan base,
is chomping at the bit for you guys to get into postseason action. What's that mentality been like
for you guys? Just kind of waiting to see who you're going to play and finally getting the
postseason going. Yeah, I mean, we've had some experience these last couple of
couple years just kind of waiting and seeing and we have like a watch party every day and we're all
kind of together watching it but we're all excited we're all ready to go I think coming off of the last
two world series we're kind of we got some good energy going into it we played really well towards
the end of the season similar to last year so I think we're just we're all happy and in a good
spot all right glass I want to get into the watch parties because I think that's just fun I've been having
my own watch party by myself for the last couple days so that's been nice but the reporter in me
wants to know, get into the logistics.
What do you think your role is going to be in the NLDS?
We talked to Dave Roberts earlier in the week.
He said he hadn't quite set the rotation.
Last year in this series, you served in kind of a hybrid role.
Do you see yourself as more of the traditional game four starter this series?
I think that's kind of more the vibe I get.
I don't think anything's been decided yet.
I'm still sort of just leaving it open to like whatever you need me to do.
But like if I had to guess, I'd say I think I'm just probably going to.
going to start game four, but if they need me in the pen up, I'll do that too.
Yeah, it's about being ready with this team. And you're ready at the right time, obviously,
not the season you're expecting in terms of being healthy, being on the mound. But as it seems to,
you know, line up, everybody is kind of ready to go right now. What for you is the biggest challenge
over the course of a season of kind of like seeing that bigger picture of, you know, shit,
I really want to get off a mound right now. I'd love to be out there.
heating, but you know, especially with this organization, the most important month of the season
is October. What's that kind of like challenge and balance for you to get there?
Yeah, I think it's just normal. Like, I don't think they slow play it any different. I think just
the injury itself took a lot longer. And I think I tried to come back like when I felt good and
I'd maybe go a little too hard and then like re-injure it and kind of have a setback.
But I think it's just, yeah, perspective. I think it's just a matter of the ultimate
goal is the postseason, but I think to just any time you are hurt, you are trying to like,
I think if they came up, we're like, hey, we want you to take longer on the aisle to like,
I'd be like, I'm not doing that.
So it just kind of ended up happening that way.
I missed like a pretty good chunk of the season with the back, but I think once everything
felt good and I was in my rehab starts and I wasn't thinking about it anymore, I knew I was in a good
spot.
So I'm just glad I'm healthy at this time.
Tyler, the fact that you might start game four just makes me laugh because
As I look at you and I see you as an ace on so many other teams,
certainly a one-two combination of any other rotation.
You look at this Dodgers rotation.
Is this the best postseason rotation starting staff ever assembled?
I mean, it's almost sickening how good you guys are.
Yeah, it's pretty wild.
I think just to be a part of it is special.
And like the front office has done such a good job,
but curating the starting staff and the whole team as it like in general.
But I think so.
I don't know.
what are the other, what would the other, like, with like the Braves in 94?
Like, I don't know what the other, what is like a comparison of like the best starting.
It's kind of hard regular season too because so much injuries and like they haven't logged a ton of innings as a starting staff.
I think when we're healthy, the numbers are pretty crazy.
But I think we'll have to just like go pitch well in the postseason and then we can reevaluate that the title of best whatever at the end of this postseason, I guess.
Right.
Yeah, I think if you think about the 94, sorry, Katie, but if you think about the 94 Braves or whatever, you know,
Glavin, Maddox and Smolt, sure, you think about perhaps the A's, you know, Barry Zito and, you know, that type of stuff.
But I guess certainly in recent memory, you guys are pretty special.
Katie, go ahead.
I mean, yeah, that's why I've been calling you guys the rotation in aces in pretty much every story I've written, completely overriding it.
But it is true when you think about just the pedigree of each of you guys.
And this is even without Showme Otani.
But to this point of having so many accomplished arms in this rotation,
they've been able to use you the Dodgers have in so many different ways.
You think back to 2025, whether it was coming out of the bullpen,
starting some pivotal games, even closed out Game 6 of the World Series.
What has the experience in the different roles for you in October,
when it's completely different from the 162 we just played?
How has that allowed you to kind of adapt and prepare for however they might need you this year?
Yeah, I think it's, I,
was fortunate enough to have like a little bit of time in the bullpen with the pirates to figure out like I think the routine part of it is always a little weird for starters that go straight into the pen like you don't know when to get hot when did not and blah blah so I had that figured out but I think it just helps with like I guess if I'm looking back to last year like I think going into I remember what my bullpen appearance was was a game one maybe two I don't know no what was I guess the Phillies I pitched in the pen like to say it was I guess the fillies I pitched in the pen like to say it was a game one maybe two I don't know what was I guess the fillies I pitched in the pen like to say
six or seventh inning. And I remember like, I think it was cool because the adrenaline coming out
of the bullpen is a lot different that as a starter, it's more of like a slow drip all day long as a
starter. And then in the pen, I wasn't really used to that like jump up of adrenaline. And I remember,
I think if I was younger or less experienced, I would go out and be like, I have a lot of adrenaline.
I can throw really hard. So I'm going to try and throw really hard. I think I was actively like,
okay, I know I have more adrenaline. I need to calm down like emotionally and like relax and just try to
get back in the zone. So I think like having that huge spike of adrenaline in the pen was like,
oh, okay, cool. And then I could kind of compare and contrast when I was out there as a starter.
And I think the experience that I've had in the postseason, like pitching so much in the postseason
is like a huge benefit for me. So I think like all that is like such a learning experience. And then
now I think I kind of just look at it. Like if you're on the mound, it's kind of the same thing.
You might feel a tiny bit different beforehand. But once you go out and start like start competing
and throwing the batters, you're not thinking about like,
what you did before. It's just a matter of competing. And I think it's just, I'm not maybe as nervous
to do different roles. I kind of just whatever they need I can do. You've heard the chaos. Now you can
see it. Hello. My gosh. Watch all your favorite podcasts from start to finish right inside the free

Was it, I think it was World Series game six last year.
You came in, got like three or two outs on one pitch or something like that.
Should do definitely that if you're, you know, throwing in relief there.
Yeah, we are here knocking on the doorstep of postseason baseball.
I think back to, you know, that World Series.
Obviously, we don't need to look so much at 2025, but.
just you still get the chills as a baseball fan thinking about all the different moments and how so many things had to kind of break your guy's way to get there and win that that game seven get to a game seven win that game seven the fun of postseason baseball like what is your favorite part of i'm i'm on the tv side you are on the important side you're there on the mound what is the most exciting the most like your favorite part of postseason baseball whether it be the stands introductions being that that raised in
intensity on the mound.
What is it for you?
I think winning is, I think like,
that's also,
uh,
yeah,
I think the coolest part is definitely like advancing each series.
Like,
you kind of have this like,
you always have this a little bit of like nervousness,
excitement,
like all these sort of emotions.
And then you get like a tiny little,
not a break,
but like,
oh, okay,
I can relax and enjoy this for like an hour.
And then like on to the next one.
So I think that's like the coolest part,
like winning the DS being,
next week,
pop and balls with your friends,
do whatever,
hanging out that night.
And then you get on to the next one.
I guess my favorite on-field stuff is probably,
man,
I don't know.
I think,
probably like any inning that's like a sticky situation
that could determine a game
and then like you either get out of an inning
or the offense delivers like a big inning.
I think like just volatile,
exciting moments like that is probably my favorite.
I don't know about like the like the introses are cool,
but I'd say probably more like big moments in each individual game.
If I could,
Yeah, tell me that.
Tyler, I don't know if you're, how much attention you're paying to the other series in these all watch parties and stuff.
But, you know, a lot was said about Chad Tracy kind of yanking veteran arm, Sunny Gray out of the game a little bit too early, perhaps the same situation with Peyton Tolley, although very different levels of experience, very different parts of their career.
How much stock do you put in analytics versus the eye test?
I believe there's a place for both.
And postseason is different.
Is it not than the regular season when it comes to that stuff?
I think so.
I mean, I remember when I was with the race, like we were really good.
Obviously, we were good in postseason too.
But I think regular season, I think the analytics stuff, like they have these formulas and algorithms.
And like they're very spot on.
Or like you'll be for an example, I guess if they say like this team will win 92 games.
By the end of this season, they'll win 90 to 94 games.
Like you're really, it's very quantifiable.
And I think even like bullpen arms and matchups and stuff like that.
But I do think even like some front office guys are like it's just so weird that once you get into the postseason, like every algorithm we have just doesn't, it doesn't work anymore.
And there's like an emotional aspect to it.
So it's not as like plug and play as the regular season.
But I think personally I think I'd rather lean on analytics more than the eye test, but you can't get rid of either one.
Like I think you need to have a good balance of both.
Like just because the computer or the matchup says do this for sure, you have to be.
able to like be a human and be like well he kind of hasn't been looking great recently and I know he's a
little sore I know like there's a lot of different things you have to do um but I think like the whole
like stop with the analytics like you need to be able like the full eye test I think is the dumbest decision
you can do I think humans in general are like emotional and stupid sometimes so I do think it's probably
I think it's like 80% I think you got to lean on analytics 80% and then 20% needs to be like
the human element of it.
All right, interesting, because I do feel like in 2020,
I think the biggest benefit to the Dodgers in 2020
was Kevin Cash pulling Blake Snell.
All of a sudden, the Dodgers offense was able to, you know,
to connect against the Ray's bullpen.
Before Katie comes back on here,
what is going on between Tarek Scobo and Blake Snell?
I mean, they are besties.
Besties.
I don't know.
They just magic happened.
They just met each other.
It was a little bit first sight, I guess.
stop on that.
They got,
they're two good personalities.
They're two,
like,
they're both really funny.
They have,
like,
a,
like a unique humor
and they,
it matches up well.
And I think they both just competitors
and they,
like,
learn from each other.
And, like,
we're here all in,
like,
a collective same goal.
So it's a nice,
it's like a foundation
for, like,
a nice,
blossoming friendship.
But they're both,
like,
the best.
I love,
like,
sitting in the dog out
with them talking.
Um,
I just think every,
like,
the daughters do a good job,
too,
of getting,
like a lot of good people together.
I think if you have like weird character issues or you're selfish,
I think a lot of times they make like forego trying to get you.
But everyone knows like how good of a teammate Scouble is and he cares about his teammates
and Blake's the same way.
And it's just been like a nice, a melding of minds, I guess.
Hey, how does, how does Dave Vassay feel about losing Scubel or sorry, losing Stall and I
bromance?
I don't know.
I think they still got a pretty strong, strong bromance.
So I think, I think there's room for everyone.
wanted to have a romance.
That's fair.
What you got with?
We talked to Max Mency earlier in the week and he reiterated like the
by week activities.
Of course, you guys want to get your live, live sessions in, maybe some SIM games,
but also big on the camaraderie of this team.
And you just mentioned the importance of kind of what we're seeing in the rotation.
But team wise, you guys have, or team wide, you guys kind of have that same vibe.
When you are focusing on the watch parties that the Dodgers have set up, you know,
whether it's watching Padres Cubs or, I mean, today I would
imagine it would be Atlanta, Phillies. What's that like? Why is that important? And how does that
help you guys get through the bye week? I think it's just like another opportunity to like bond and
hang out together. And we've done it every year. There's always just, if there is like a way to find a
way to have people spend more time together, I think it's just like an easy decision to do it.
Yeah, I don't know. I think it's just like nice to bond and like everyone's watching the game like
internalizing it in their own way and like you're just around your buddies and your friends the
people that you're going to play with. I think it means a good amount to probably a lot of
people on the team. And it's just like in raw friends. It's like why wouldn't we do that? We'll just
we'll be at the field. We'll work out together and we'll go. There's food. It's like it's, it's a
no-brainer. It's literally my dream day. Okay, who is the funniest person on the team to watch
these games? Like who has the most dramatic reactions? There's always a character. Who is it?
I mean, probably Kike is usually like a general answer to most of it.
Like he'll always have the good, he participates a lot and is like hilarious and basically everything.
Miggy is also,
Miggy and Kike are part of the two that would participate the most in the like funny banter and stuff.
Yeah, everybody's always going to go Kike because Kike is a good time.
I've seen,
I've seen a little bit of narrative with, with the team.
And I wouldn't call it ho-hum or lax the day's goal or whatever.
But obviously there's a Dodger Monty.
You play one game at a time.
And the narrative is you got a lot writing on the line this year.
You're going for a three-peat.
You're going for history, blah, blah, blah.
I mean, anytime you can win a World Series,
I think that's pretty, that is history being made there.
Is that, I wouldn't say, is it the right mentality?
Because obviously, it is a great mentality to have.
It's what leads to so much success for this team is like,
you are just playing this game.
Don't get too far ahead and all that kind of stuff.
Like, what would you say to, you know,
somebody challenging the Dodger mindset of one game at a time.
I would say look at the numbers.
It says we know what we're doing.
But thoughts on that.
Yeah.
I think a lot of people can relate in like different situations where I know like for
me when I was younger, most guys when they're playing and they're younger,
you'll like, for example, if I'm starting and I'm in like low A and I have like five
starts and I have a four ERA, I would go and be like, okay, if I have two more good starts
and I give up one, like you start to play these games to like try to dictate the outcome of
how your season's going to be or this or that.
And like any time in my career that I would try to like fast forward to think about like
the outcome of something,
it ends up just like adding more mental stress that you can't control.
And it's like a cliche thing.
You'd be like control what you can control.
And even when they would tell me that when I was younger,
I was like, that is stupid.
But it's true.
Like I think you're trying to eliminate like any extra noise in your mind.
Like you have like the things you can control and then there's all this other stuff.
but like worrying about winning or like worrying about like can we do like a three p or whatever now it
doesn't there's not really anything you can do to like make that happen and like thinking about it
more is not going to is not going to make it any easier so i think a lot of times it comes with
experience but like we have such an old team like most guys i'm sure in their career at one point
have like thought too far ahead and it hasn't worked out for them and i know yeah like for me when i do that
it's not good.
So it is very much like control what we can today
and then tomorrow's a new day and like this and that.
It just makes it much, much easier.
All right, Glass, before we let you go,
because I know you have to get to the field soon,
and so do I.
There were some comments after the Padres Cubs game
by their new ownership where they alluded to the Dodgers
having a lot of dinosaurs.
Now you can take it however way you want.
I took it as they called you old.
what do you do you believe in in the new like the new rivalry of the dodgers pylories and when you hear an owner say that what's your takeaway
i think i mean i kind of think it's probably good for baseball i don't know it's like wrestling like you kind of have to have like a good and a bad and i think
it's like you got to add to the it's good for baseball i don't really take it personally i don't think
uh maybe some people do but i don't know i guess i could give like a better answer and be like yeah i'm angry but i think it's i don't know
I think it's like strategic.
It's just it's probably good for business.
Well, they're going for their first World Series title ever.
You guys are going for three straight.
Tyler Glasnow, we appreciate so much for coming on Dodgers territory.
Best of luck.
Enjoy the watch parties.
We look forward to when you guys get into action on Saturday.
Thanks for being here, man.
We appreciate you.
Yeah, I appreciate it, guys.
Thank you.
Yeah, we love having dinosaurs here on the show.
Great stuff.
I'm proud of us.
If we didn't ask a hair question, of course,
laid down that mandate yesterday.
We are not going to ask him about his hair.
I mean, it is, it is difficult not to.
He has unbelievable hair.
He has beautiful eyes.
He has a beautiful wife.
The house that you can see the ocean.
I mean, this guy is like living the dream.
Big league dreams.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
His,
his soffets are more expensive than my house.
But we digress.
Great stuff.
If you guys enjoyed that, uh, hit that thumbs up on the video.
Obviously, we got more D.T to come.
We got talk about those old.
Dodgers, Katie, wrote a column about that.
So we're going to do that right now.
We're getting behind the seams.
This record is on.
Miley is having a moment.
New name, new album, and two exclusive shows.
So IHart Radio is sending you to experience it all.

And stream Miley's new album, Bass Persuades, today.
Katie, the Dodgers are old.
What's going on here?
Explain yourself.
Yeah, this is then, we all know this, coming into Saturday.
It's all on the line.
And when we think about the Los Angeles Dodgers dynasty,
obviously we're going to think of Shohei, we're going to think of Yama.
But in my mind, there were six guys that really oversaw a lot of the losses leading up to 2024.
The heartbreaking DS eliminations in 22 and 23.
the NLCS elimination in 21.
It was this Dodgers core.
Now, not all of them were here for every single one of those losses.
But when I was talking to Mookie Betts, Friday Freeman, Will Smith, Max Muncie, Kiki Hernandez, Miguel Rojas,
I wanted to see if they thought it all.
Like, yes, this Dodgers organization is built to contend for years and years, even with a pending new CBA.
But this era right here, the faces that define this dynasty, I'm not, you know, did it cross their mind that this could be the
last time that they could do something like this. And we wrote about on the athletic today,
all six of them were really good in kind of speaking that insight of we're all getting older.
The Dodgers, they're going to be fine. But this is our last chance or could be our last chance
to do something as a group together, to make history, to bring October memories to this fan base.
And I think it was really telling, especially hearing from Muky Betts and Freddie Freeman,
who have been here essentially through it all on how they view going into October this year.
Katie, this is definitely Miguel Rojas's last ride, at least we think, unless the Dodgers
decide to bring him back and he agrees to do so.
I think he definitely would like that.
He certainly wants to end his career as a Dodger.
However, in speaking with these players, did you get the sense that they realize that
the complexion of the team next year is going to be very different, that this is a team
that's not going to be together next season?
I think they understood that it could be.
And it's never easy sitting these very accomplished experienced players down and being like,
fellas getting old.
But they kind of made it easy on me
because that was one of the first things
they acknowledged is we are getting older.
We are in our mid-30s now.
We're not going to play forever.
And I think McGee wrote,
he was so insightful when he said,
this is the core that I couldn't imagine
playing any other games with.
But it's also our responsibility
to make sure that we give the guys right here,
the younger guys, a chance to win their first World Series.
It doesn't matter to me that we won 24 and 25.
It matters that we
in right now that we are the core responsible for making sure the guys coming up know what this
looks like. And they know what this could change. It could change because of their ages. It could
change because of a pending work stoppage and possible limitations as to how the Dodgers spend
their money next year. There is a federal investigation into their owner. All of these things can play
into why 2027 should we have baseball at all next year looks different. And this core means so much
to this fan base. I feel like when you think about the Dodgers dynasty, you can't picture
without Freddie or Muky or Kike or any of these guys, Max, Will.
And it means something to them and it means something to this fan base.
Yes, the Dodgers are going to keep winning.
They are built to do this.
Andrew Freeman believes in winning forever, not just in a window.
And Freddie Freeman said it, you know, the Dodgers window is going to be open for a long time.
But the window for us to win with this group, that might be closing sooner than we think.
So as we go into October, you know, it's not going to be, they're not going to take the
field and be like, emotional one last time here with my guy.
they're obviously going to go out and strap it up and play.
But I think they're all aware that this could be their last time doing so together.
Yeah, you know, I want to see them do that.
Go out on the field, just kind of stand there, look around, be like that.
Like the real accomplished look, take the glasses off, all that kind of stuff.
No.
Anybody of everybody in that clubhouse really right now that has been through the ups and downs and the ride of this last decade, it's Max Muncie.
And, you know, I always love talking to months, hearing for anything for months.
Yes, Miguel Rojas, we assume.
assume is retiring at the end of the year, but, but Muncie has, has seen a lot with this,
or, hey, Lana's seen a lot with this organization as well, but the point I'm getting to here
is, we've been talking about this online for a while.
I've been talking about this online for a while, like soak this up, enjoy this team.
You know, a lot of people like to wax nostalgic about the Seeger Bellinger teams, you know,
Clayton Kershaw isn't on the Dodgers anymore.
I never, I mean, I knew that day would eventually happen, but, uh, there will
be a time where there's no mooky, there's no
McGy, there's no Freddie.
But right now, we still got
those dudes and
they're still ready to win
and play, and by the way, if you're looking
with our friends over
at Kalshi to see if the Dodgers
are going to win it all, they're
trading just under 30%. It says
that this team, I'm taking the yes on that
by the way. I'm throwing, what is a
$55, a trade
pays out 175.
If you're right, I think this team has
one more celebration in the tank.
I think they got one more champagne, well, I guess three more champagne pops in them,
maybe a little bit of dancing with Ice Cube and Dave Roberts and all of that.
But if you guys are interested in trying out, Cali, do check it out, download the app,
use our code, baseball.
You see it there on the screen, and place a $25 bet.
Sorry, total trades you get $55.
Sorry, my CTA got covered, but it's automatically added to your account.
Instantly, Kalshi has appeared to peer trading.
It's not a sports book.
You're trading directly against other users, not the house, like traditional sports books.
But, yeah, the point I'm getting to here, gang.
Dodgers are good.
Dodgers are winning.
Dodgers in four.
If you're interested in trying out Kalshi, download the app and use code baseball to get $55.
Add it to your account instantly.
No, I just got your back, making sure we got all the information in there.
We appreciate Kalshi.
doing all that.
All right, time now to get to On Deck presented by Box 1.
All right, guys, let's go back to the Wild Card series, if we can.
Four different games, three of them already over.
And then obviously the last one, the Phillies and the Braves,
are tonight, 8 o'clock Eastern,
and we will have a Phillies Braves postgame show
over on our Fowl Territory Network.
So make sure you check that out.
It'll be me.
Todd Frazier and Eric.
on that, so check that out. But let me ask you this. Is it Padres Dodgers eventually in the NLCS?
Is it going to be, I mean, what do you think, Katie? First of all, what your overall takeaway from
the wild card round so far? I have a lot of thoughts. I'll keep them, I'll keep them more NL,
because I don't think the show needs 10 minutes of me going on at the Red Sox and whatever the
heck that performance was, both by the players and by the people,
making the decisions for said players.
But the Padres, they've been the hottest team in baseball,
and I was still surprised at how little the Cubs showed up.
And I think the Podgers are trending towards what could be a really exciting NLCS
between the Padres and the Dodgers, assuming LA takes care of business against whoever wins
Atlanta, Philly.
I believe Philly will somehow figure a way to win.
But it's worth noting I've been over for on all of my projections,
and I've whipped on every single thing the Athletic has asked me to predict also.
So just expert, as we know.
But I think I'm really interested to see how the DS between Milwaukee and San Diego plays out.
I think it was a best of seven.
I would have Milwaukee take that series.
But because it's the best of five and knowing how lights out that Padre's bullpen is,
I can see San Diego taking this from Milwaukee.
And I don't want to discredit.
Obviously, Milwaukee had the most wins in Major League Baseball this year.
The DS on the Dodgers side, which is what everybody here cares about,
hard for me to really predict the matchups and the strategy until we know the opponent.
But if there was one team that was ecstatic about this series being the only one to go three games,
it would be the Dodgers.
Obviously, it means an extra day of pitching.
Guys are going to be more tired.
The travel is going to be limited to just a day.
So you're essentially have all the advantage here.
Aaron Nola's going for Philadelphia today.
Zach Wheeler should be available behind him in case of emergency.
You want that to be the case for the Dodgers because if the Phillies win,
And they already have to use Wheeler.
They no longer can start in game one.
And you kind of already have the advantage there.
But we live for this.
We're excited about it.
I'll be locked in from Dodger Stadium watching Atlanta, Philadelphia,
just like I'm sure all of us will be.
And I'm not sure if you guys have a pick.
Clint, do you on which team you'd rather have the Dodgers face this weekend?
I mean, they both have their issues, we'll say.
Starting rotation seems a little weak for both of those teams.
I think there would be something fun about.
facing the Phillies again.
Just see how you can embarrass them, demean them again,
or let them beat themselves on your field once again.
And the fact that they're going to have to throw Wheeler and Nola
and just burn through everybody today,
sets them up so poorly to go up against most likely Terrick Scoobal
being named by Dave Roberts today.
Yeah, I want to, I do, as much as people are going to hate it,
I hope the Dodgers can get through, you know, the Phillies, obviously.
And I really hope the Padres can get through the Brewers because, fuck it, bring on the anarchy.
Let's go.
Why not?
Loves the chaos.
He loves the chaos, but that would be fun.
That would be fun as hell.
I would like to see the Phillies.
I don't know.
I like the Phillies a lot, but I would rather see them because their pitching is going to be a mess by the time they get to the Dodgers, right?
I mean, they don't get to, they don't have the luxury of setting up their rotation.
the way that the Dodgers are just kind of waiting for.
I mean, we have a very, very good rotation.
So, yeah, I'd like the Phillies.
And then, who, I don't know, man.
That Padres Brewer Series is going to be an absolute slug-fest beatdown, I think.
I think it'll be a good time.
I take a Dodgers bullpen game over whoever either of those teams
just throwing out in game one.
But the thing is, you don't have to do that because you got Scoobo.
Or if it's not him, you got World Series MVP Yamamoto.
You got Snell.
Hey, how about friend of the show?
Tyler Glass now for game one, just for fun.
Man, Dodgers are in a very, very prime spot.
Riz, you want to tell the people about Fox?

Guys, let me introduce you to Phoebe.
She is new to the Guidry's Guardian family.
She had been at the shelter four different times.
Her family kept letting her get out.
She kept ending up at the shelter.
Then they were going to euthanize her because the shelter was not going to extend her stay any longer.
So we got her out.
We're taking care of her medical as well as all of her foster supplies.
She's healthy.
She's going to the vet tomorrow just for an overall wellness check.
It does look like her ear was cut off a little bit.
at the top or bit off or something.
She doesn't talk, so I don't know what's happened to her in her past, but I do know that her future is good.
So if you're interested in adopting her, she's about a three or four-year-old German Shepherd mix.
We're going to get a DNA test on her to be certain of her breed.
But reach out, and we can always, of course, use donations to help with her vet bills and those types of things.
DNA test is going to find out she's 100% that bitch.
She's a 100% good girl.
100% good girl.
She's a good girl.
She's a good girl.
Katie, you looking forward to melting on Saturday?
100 degrees at unique low field at Dodger Stadium.
I will be here in my AC, maybe watching the game a little bit in my pool.
Alana and I will be live with the post game after the fact.
But, yeah, I know a lot of people are upset.
The Dodgers are getting the 1 p.m. game on Saturday.
Thoughts?
I would imagine the explanation behind it is something to do with Fox.
and they also have college football at night,
so they want the prime window for views.
I understand that.
I also understand that I'm going to be hot as hell,
and it's going to be, I think I was projected 98 on my weather app.
It's going to be even hotter inside the stadium, obviously, science, physics,
however that works, whatever you want to call it.
Yeah, it's not ideal.
I'm also a big believer that postseason baseball should feel cold.
I know we live in Southern California.
Yes, it should feel cold.
I should have gloves on.
I should have gloves on.
We will not be having gloves on.
It is, I, it's so cowl.
I was expecting like 80 degrees, not a hundred.
So yeah, it'll be a different element.
We talked to Dave Roberts a little bit about it on Tuesday where he was just like,
yeah, it'd be nice to like not play at one, maybe six o'clock.
But they're going to have that 1 p.m. slot.
So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
Clint, no high noons for you until after the game.
Thank you.
Ooh.
I like hot at Dodger Stadium in October.
I have, I have been calling out for years that they play like shit at home in October,
because it is colder,
ball don't travel as far.
Alana, I will maintain that if the Dodgers,
well, if they played the Red Sox anywhere but Boston in 2018,
where they didn't know how to play in the cold in that first.
Remember Ryan Madsen coming in,
not knowing how to throw a fucking change up
because he couldn't feel his hands.
I will say this.
I don't think they would have beaten the Red Sox,
regardless of the temperature.
I think the Red Sox in 18 were a better team.
I will say this, though.
when I was there covering that team in 2018, freezing my butt off in October.
Now I live here.
I will take 100 degrees over what we get here in October,
which they're obviously not playing because they stink against the Yankees.
No, thank you.
I will take the heat any day.
You can watch it from Glasnow's house.
He's going to be busy.
I could.
I could go over there and hang out with Injector Megan.
And she's probably going to be at the game, though.
Injector Megan. I need her service after this, after this season. I need injector Megan.
Also, seeing some annoying loser behavior in the chat, I just want to shout out Nancy Brown. You're the best. Shout out Nancy. Nancy also kicked us down with a $10 super chat for Phoebe.
Phoebe says three Pete. We appreciate Nancy. We love Nancy. She is one of the best. And whoever's being mean to her, you're a real piece of crap. That's what we will say.
and you could quote me on that one.
Guys, we got a lot packed into this show.
Good show. Appreciate it again.
Tyler Glass now.
Join in here.
Appreciate you guys being with us.
We're going to be back live tomorrow, Friday, NLDS preview.
Once we figure out who this team is playing,
hopefully this game goes like 25 innings tonight
and they got nothing left in the tank,
the Braves and the Phillies.
And then, of course, me, Riz, live, post games,
all October long.
