Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, well, well. If it isn't Mr. Wreck-It-Inwards Career himself. If it isn't I tour one of the hottest podcast video shows in the world in arenas now. If it isn't I don't care about my black friends. Well, well, well, well, well. Where did Walka Flango go? Walka Claude Van Damme over here. Fucking guy.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Can't wait to discuss this week's episode. I'm trying to learn to not read the comments. They can really compromise your mental state. Me too. Oh, these comments were brutal. Protect your mental state. Don't use me too in a sentence. Diddy got these streets on fire. If I ever get a chance to go back on Kill Tony, then my plans are to clear the block. These N-words are brutal. Kill Tony fans are incels. Don't worry about them. Dear white man,
Starting point is 00:01:10 I am texting you to let you know that I continue to be harassed by your fans. It's only right that I come back to your show to walk off for the final time. If this could be arranged, I'll put you down for a plus one at Diddy's coming home freak off. I know friends in low places. It's been a long time coming. No Diddy. Bah ha ha ha ha. When will you be in Austin again? October 25th through the 27th.
Starting point is 00:01:36 Round here, if it smell funny, onions getting peeled. Round here, if it smell funny, get your onion peeled. Round here, it'll be smarting at all. Yeah, it'll be smarting at all. Yeah, don't be smart to get tall. Yeah. Hey. It don't be smart to get tall. Yeah. Hey. It don't be smart to get tall. Yeah. It don't be smart to get tall. It don't be smart to get tall. It don't be smart to get tall.
Starting point is 00:01:56 I lose control when I'm not next to you. Yeah, it's taking its toll on me. I know y'all have been hearing me sing that song probably for the last three months because I fell in love, no ditty, with an artist that I was introduced to like a year ago, Teddy Swims, who is phenomenal. And his music is therapeutic. He has an album called I've Tried Everything But Therapy. And to be quite honest, it resonates with me and my life so much because I've tried everything but therapy. Before I even get into that, first off, I want to thank everybody that came out to see my last two performances, which of Chicago Improv,
Starting point is 00:02:36 thank you so much. The next time you get to see me, I'm going to a place that I don't really like, but I like their money, Dallas. I'll be at the Improv at Addison, Texas, October 17th through the 19th. And I'll be at Austin. These shows are already sold out. Joe Rogan's Club, The Mothership. I'll be there 25th, 27th. They added a show on Sunday, November the 1st through the 3rd. I'll be at Charlotte, North Carolina, November 7th through the 9th. I'll be at the Atlanta Comedy Theater, one of the best places for urban black comedy. And I would like to say this. Thank you for everyone that has got me to the point where I'm excited about coming to work.
Starting point is 00:03:18 They got me to the point where I'm excited about producing a project in a situation that doesn't exist on the Internet. A lot of people like to say do podcasts, but we have a variety show. We have a variety show that's reality of a podcast. I'll figure out what that means somewhere down the line. But we're working out the nicks, the bumps and everything, and we're getting to a good place. And the reason why we're getting to a good place is because we silenced Alex. And this goes for all the people in the comments
Starting point is 00:03:52 like, where's Alex? We silenced him. We didn't give him a muzzle or anything like that, but we said it would be who of you just to be silenced. And especially after Dr. Umar tore that ass up, no diddy. He's still quiet, y'all. No ditty. Shout out to the people that came to the Donnelly and Rawlings show,
Starting point is 00:04:14 that saw the episode that featured Dr. Umar. Some people enjoyed the interview. And of course, with anything that makes you feel good, there's going to be some people that didn't enjoy the interview, which leads me to my point. I've been on many platforms where people tell me, they warn me, Donnell, don't read the comments. That's what they say. Donnell, don't read the comments. If you want to have a good day, Donnell, don't read the comments. And what do I do to feed my ego and my narcissistic personality disorder?
Starting point is 00:04:46 I read the comments. And not only do I read the comments, I let the goddamn comments affect my motherfucking day. I should never let a comment section get me to the point where I'm frustrated. I should never read a comment section and get me to the point where I say enough is enough. I should never read a comment section and say, you know what, fuck this, I'm done with it. And I quit again and again and again and again. But what do I do? I do it there's something that feeds us to engage with negative energy what is it that is
Starting point is 00:05:37 so exciting about negative energy. I can't answer all of these questions. I do have a lot of questions. And the question to the people that's probably watching this right now, why? Why you keep fucking with me? What more do you want from me? I started over
Starting point is 00:06:04 with a different attitude, with different energy, with a different team, of which one person gets on my motherfucking nerves. Oh. Ah. But why? Why is it that a person, an artist, or influencer, or a personality could read a comment section and have a good time with it and love everything about it?
Starting point is 00:06:31 And you get that one person like, what the fuck? And why do I put so much energy in that person opposed to the people that show love for me? I had a situation in a popular podcast, one of the biggest in the world uh some time ago possibly two years ago and for some reason uh this podcast appearance haunts me it haunts me and that appearance i'm talking about is my appearance one of the appearances i had on kill tony brawlings is best known for his time on the chapelle show so you'd think he unlike flair would get that kill tony as a comedy show but his vibe was off from the start like he was just doing them a favor by being there he made the show more about himself instead of just letting it ride end up for the
Starting point is 00:07:17 show tonight we have a couple surprises for you and uh also heather can i get my drink by chance heather heather heather i'm sorry was i rude who's heather heather works for team chapelle Heather, can I get my drink by chance? Heather? I'm sorry, was I rude? Who's Heather? Heather works for Team Chappelle. She works with our merchandise. She's our go-to girl for everything. She's amazing from Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Round of applause for Heather, everybody. I love it. You guys know how it works. A bunch of people signed up for the chance to do 60 seconds uninterrupted on this show and then talk with us afterwards. You know your time is up. You know your 60 seconds uninterrupted. Why are you making eye contact with me? For those of you that don't know Donnell famously,
Starting point is 00:07:53 while being one of the funniest and the best guests in the show's history, he's also the most interruptive. Yeah. I mean, I'm in the middle of a thing. You're ordering drinks from Heather. And he has the most knocks of his microphone to the table. That's true. I'm sorry. That's why he has a little bumper on his head.
Starting point is 00:08:09 That was racist. Here it is. 60 seconds uninterrupted from Cooper Patterson. Here we go. Cooper is the whitest name. Wait, hold on. This is the part. Remember the one part? I gotta shut up. Remember the one rule? One minute.
Starting point is 00:08:25 Okay, all right. I know that. Okay, all right. Stop it. Yeah, hold on. Face the other way. Face the other way. Okay, first off, it's a minute when they first start their first joke.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Is that fair enough? No, no, it's not. When I say their name for the last time, we did this show 496 times before you got here, Donnell. Son, I didn't know it meant that. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's not a race know it meant that. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's not a race to talk before they do. All right, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:08:49 And you was like, you just, you was mad. He's like, no, Donnell, you know the rules. Well, no, it's just one minute. Famously, you've been on the show three times, Donnell. I know. I know what he wanted to do. Oh, yeah. If I froze Donnell.
Starting point is 00:09:03 No, man. No, no, no, no, no, no no no no no no no no it's too late i'm about to leave right now because no you're not come on no i'm gonna really happen all right let's get right into it donnell later claimed that he didn't bill because of the comedian roasting him but because he had already been there for over two hours and had dinner reservations and for some reason i'm say it, it haunts me. And I don't know what to do. I've said plenty of times before, your biggest hater is your best fan because nobody is going to follow what you're doing in your life more than a fucking hater.
Starting point is 00:09:47 I've talked on many platforms about what happened in this event. Many of them. Nobody fucking believes me. I've hired forensic scientists to get to the bottom of this, to show some evidence that I'm a weak-minded person that can't take a fucking joke. Bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet, bet. I can't remember that cartoon. I don't know if it was the flintstones but it was a cartoon i can't remember the character but anytime somebody said anything about a bet he was ready to go bet bet bet bet bet bet i feel like that sometimes sometimes i sometimes here's a dream in my world
Starting point is 00:10:18 is there anything where i could just bet on anything well you mean make trades on anything right a trade a bet i just want to be we don't, you mean make trades on anything, right? A trade, a bet. I just want to be able to- We don't make bets. We make trades, Donnell. I would like to know, how could I make trades? You know, and like,
Starting point is 00:10:33 there's this website called Kalshi that you and I have been using recently, you know, like you can make a trade on who will win the presidential election, for example. Do you have, do you think you want to put your money on Kamala? I already know.
Starting point is 00:10:47 I'm not going to let you know. I already know who I'll put my money on. You put your money on Donald? Continue. You're not going to say whether you put your money on Kamala? Continue. Somebody might trade differently than me. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:59 And you know, like the cool thing is they have all sorts of different trades, right? So you don't have to just trade on Kamala or Donald. You can say who will win the popular vote, who will win in Georgia, the Senate margin of victory. What genre will Beyonce's next album be? So far, rock is winning. You can trade on anything. I got a question. How do you trade? Essentially, you go in and you get credits, and then they give you the odds on basically any of these trades, right?
Starting point is 00:11:33 So, for example, I can look at, like, how many launches SpaceX has this year, and they'll say what the payout is if you say yes or no on the trade. Can you create your own trade? You cannot create your own trades, no. But, like, for example, I can see that, like, you can see a trade on whether there's going to be a new nuclear reactor in the U.S. approved this year. And if you say yes, if you put $100, you can win $770.78. And if you say no, you can win $108. So there's a chance that you could win 770 78 and if you say no you can win 108 so there's a chance
Starting point is 00:12:06 that you could win oh yeah if you make the right trade yeah awesome you could even say which tech companies will do will do layoffs this year yeah oh somebody's gonna be hurt by that but i trade on it it's pretty fun like, there's so many wild things in here. You can like trade on, you know, like the political things alone. So again, like one of my favorite things is to trade on elections as is Don L's.
Starting point is 00:12:36 So like, come join us, tell us what you're going to be trading on and Cal she, it's so much fun, you know? And again, like we'll put some visuals up and we actually have like a code for you guys and it's the only place online where you can actually make these kind of trades um and right now like the election is so much fun to trade on and you guys really need to get in on it you know and so if you go right now to calchi.com slash down donnell
Starting point is 00:13:06 that's k-a-l-s-h-i.com slash d-o-n-n-e-l-l on your phone you can get a $20 bonus when you deposit $100 on their mobile app so i don't know what you're waiting for that's calchi.com slash donnell calchi.com slash donnell for a $20 bonus. I want to do a trade on how long I last on this show. Hello. Hi. Are we recording? Are we recording?
Starting point is 00:13:38 Yeah. Are we recording now? Can you hear me, Tony? Yes, I can. Hello. Wait,
Starting point is 00:13:44 I'll be right back. i'm going to the bathroom oh my god yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah well well well well well. If it isn't Mr. Wreck-It-Inwards Career himself. If it isn't I tour one of the hottest podcast video shows in the world in arenas now. If it isn't I don't care about my black friends. Well, well, well, well, well. Thanks for joining me mr record career i'm having a blast you know one of the secrets to my wild success is i just stay where i'm at i don't walk off first off first off let me explain something to you which you might understand
Starting point is 00:14:43 tony and you was there and i will tell you as a good friend of mine you hurt my fucking feelings i've never had a chance to express my emotions right now i just talked to a goddamn psychiatrist who said i'd be love bombing you not you but gas you gaslight me and you don't understand first off i respect I respect and I love you. All right? Thank you. But you have created an environment where you have people that misunderstood a situation. And they won't stop harassing me. Yo, you are in the business. They love you, Donnell.
Starting point is 00:15:26 They love you. You're a legend on this show. People love that. Everyone else has stayed. We've had over, you know, I think over 1,000 great comedians sit on that panel on this show. And no one's ever walked off. We've had a lot of bucket pools try to walk off the stage. We've had characters walk off the stage. But we've never had actual professional comedians walk off.
Starting point is 00:15:48 So you're one of a kind. So what are you trying to say? That did. First off, you have the power to get white people to storm again. You, the people that love you are stormers tony are they stormers they are stormers did they get on that fucking flight january the 6th they go to walmart and buy all the deer colored camouflage paint did where you where your fans are ones with horns saying fuck you pol Poloski. Is that true? They are not big fans of Poloski. This is true.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yeah. We are about free speech and saying whatever you want and not walking away. We like to go into the storm. Why do you keep on, Tony? Why is it important for you to keep on mentioning walk away?
Starting point is 00:16:43 What are you alluding to? Well, I mean, Donnell, important for you to keep on mentioning walk away what are you alluding to well i mean donnell we all know that you're mr rawlings i don't think we it's cool for us to look at each other as friends anymore now you remind me of a brother that my mother never knew my dad had all right you're what you're walking out on our friendship. I'm not saying walk. It's been tested because countless times you've had an opportunity to write. You're wrong, Tony. And you didn't say that. We had a conversation at Joe Rogan's show and you doubled down and said I was delusional. You probably said I was on some type of narcotic. And you said this and you never corrected the wrong of it about a year later donnell went on rogan's podcast and since tony and joe are tight joe asked him why he bailed joe even called tony while donnell was on the show instead of owning up to walking off donnell tried to play it off claiming that tony had pitted him against the comedian hey dude i'm here uh you're on the podcast right now i'm here with donnell rollins and i'm still beefing mother from the real story did you edit the show to make it look like donnell was upset and then a man clowned him
Starting point is 00:17:52 can i say this a black man did you edit it first off nothing tony tony was edited tony nothing was edited so tony what you see is actually the true events that took place? No, 100 percent. And and and he never, you know, I mean, it's absolutely not even in question. You know, it's Donnell trying to pull a PR move here. This is the reason why black people have issues. It's very shady and he's trying to rewrite history. We have pictures of him outside of a firehouse after the moment he was saying hi to people at the fire department. They were like fans of his.
Starting point is 00:18:25 And he went and hung out with them. He had nothing to do. He had nowhere to go. Oh, Lord, Lord, Lord. This is getting worse. I can't believe this, man. I can't believe you left out details only to use them as a weapon when confronted by propaganda. Kudos to you, sir,
Starting point is 00:18:41 for holding your cards. No, f*** those. Tony supports black on black crime he pitted two black guys oh wait a minute i thought you said that you went to the bathroom and none of that stuff happened they edited it i went to the bathroom he said that he said that he was going to the bathroom he walked all the way out the front door right to the sushi spot son i left for sushi he said he left for sushi, please. His reservations were much later than when he left. All right, now watch this. Thank you, Tony.
Starting point is 00:19:08 He's still selling the candles? This is really happening. Tony, thank you very much. Thank you. I see the truth now. I see the truth. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Don't know. Tony's a liar. That was shameful. That pretty much sums it up. I don't know how. How could I correct it? You tell me. What exactly would you like me to do
Starting point is 00:19:25 tell him that you tried to set a black man up right explain that like you don't care for black people you know I said tell him tell him the truth Tony tell him you're going for the tell him you're putting a MAGA
Starting point is 00:19:38 you're doing a MAGA switch tell him Tony it's different it's not that Donnell you know after that Brady roast Cat Williams came up to me Dave Chappelle came up to me Tony? It's different. It's not that, Donnell. You know, after that Brady roast, Cat Williams came up to me. Dave Chappelle came up to me.
Starting point is 00:19:51 All of them separately. And they all said that after tonight, after this roast, I'm one of the biggest black comedians in the world. They gave me that. They coined me. They called me a black comedian separately. This is in two different conversations. Tony, Tony, Tony,
Starting point is 00:20:04 that's not why they called you a black comedian, Tony. Why did they call me a black comedian separately this is in two different conversations tony tony that's not why they called you a black comedian tony the reason why they call me because you because you swirl in the milk tony you swirl in the milk tony you don't know what i'm talking about swirling milk it's an interracial dating thing dr umar i don't know if you know drar, he called me a bunny hopper. I was like, well, I got friends that are equally the same, and Tony Hinchcliffe swirls in the milk. That's why they look at you as a black comic, Tony. You got black
Starting point is 00:20:34 queens! And you can go. I wasn't with any black girls when they told me this. I think this is based off of my comedic performance. Your history shows, Tony, that you swirl in the milk. I mean, I do swirl in the milk, but I don't think Kat or Dave knows that. This is what I will say, and I am not here to, like, I'm really not here to make you feel good about it.
Starting point is 00:20:59 I was hoping this would ruin your day. But what I saw on that roast was a person that's been in the trenches for years and this is what people don't understand they look at you where you are right now and think it was easy they don't know the trials and tribulations you had to go through to get past in the club they don't know how you had to stick and i'm saying this there's nothing hates anything good about you but they don't know what your character is and what your commitment is to getting where you got. And people that become fans of you now, they look at you, 2,000 episodes or whatever. They don't know the first episode.
Starting point is 00:21:34 They don't know the second episode. They don't know the episode when you had to fire somebody, hire somebody. This didn't work out, but you had to stay true to that. So for that, I'm giving you your roses right now and another thing I'm giving you roses for we all know the situation you had a couple years ago when you did something that comedians do all the time fucking have fun doing
Starting point is 00:21:53 a set you'd say some shit that was true to your fucking brand and then motherfucker said fuck him you know how do you go from a situation where you're at the top of the world, then all of a sudden it's like, boom, you gotta
Starting point is 00:22:10 make different choices, decisions in your life, and then you keep going, where everybody was like, fuck him. Well, you know, here in Texas, the mentality is, you know, the news is crap. You gotta go with what you're,
Starting point is 00:22:26 what you actually see, with what exists in front of you. And during that crazy time, nothing had changed in front of me. So I just wanted to keep doing shows and I just didn't stop. I just ignored it and we didn't miss a single Monday release.
Starting point is 00:22:42 You know, you're only cancelled if you think you're cancelled. You're only canceled if you think you're canceled. You're only canceled if you stop. And yeah. Do you know what they say about me, Tony? From what I've read, there's a lot.
Starting point is 00:22:57 What? You got a favorite? You got a top five? I got a couple and I don't know which one and I'm afraid to hear this. I don't know. Katie, what are some of the nice things that the Kill Tony audience say about me? Chappelle's butt plug is acting up again. Oh, God damn! Don L's career. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Who said butt plug? Out of them. Who said it? This guy named Bro Sneasel. One of your fans. What else did another Kill Tony motherfucking say? Darnell's career is at about the same level as his phone battery
Starting point is 00:23:29 at this point. Oh! We got... Darnell probably hangs out with Punky and Uncle Laser. Darnell may have been the worst guest ever on Kill Tony,
Starting point is 00:23:40 that episode. He's a crybaby. I'm not a crybaby! Fuck you! He's the epitome of. He's a crybaby. I'm not a crybaby. Fuck you. He's the epitome of throwing stones in a glass house. I don't live in a glass house.
Starting point is 00:23:50 I can't throw a stone. Donnell needs a hundred lashes for not letting Brother Uma speak. Yo, who the fuck said that? Was it a black person or a white person? Who whipped me?
Starting point is 00:23:58 I hope that was a black person that said that. My own people. That's black on black crime, Tony. I don't want you to see this tony look away i hope they never invite his ass back on the show he's ridiculous also bragging about wearing a necklace with the initials of the guy uh we got he's a little bitch god damn it was that a black or white person well it's from the account front my neck. So whatever the fuck that means. One more.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Does it? Nothing nice. You don't have nothing nice to say. He's such a child. What a tool. Damn, Tony. Tony. These are your people.
Starting point is 00:24:38 I just heard Dave Chappelle. I only heard Dave Chappelle's butt plug. And then I just had a ringing in my ear. Rushing to my brain. This is what they say, Tony. And here's another thing. I want to clear this up. I read some of the comments which I shouldn't do, T. And one of them was like this.
Starting point is 00:24:56 They said, oh yeah, look at him. He's up there. I don't know, that's the voice your people be like, yeah, look at him. He's up there acting yeah, look at him. He's up there acting as if they needed him. He's doing them a favor. Tony, I was doing you a favor. You were doing me a favor.
Starting point is 00:25:26 During that global pandemic, I had so much trouble getting good guests. And, you know, it was, like, impossible. Because L.A. and New York thought that there was this disease that was going to kill them or whatever. Like, it was, like, a whole thing. So when people would come and visit Austin, you know, a lot of them were just doing their outdoor show or, you know, whatever they thought was safe for them. And then they would jet. And I would ask them, hey, will you come on and do Kill Tony? And a lot of them were scared.
Starting point is 00:25:49 You were not scared. Not a lot of them. All of them, Tony. Yeah, yeah. But you also didn't stay for the whole show. What the fuck does that got to do with anything? What the fuck? No. I didn't stay Tony because I had a sushi
Starting point is 00:26:10 date oh my god we have a video of you now go ahead continue Tony I got receipts you got videos not no diddy videos type of shit, right?
Starting point is 00:26:27 No, no, no. Go ahead. You got video receipts. But it's kind of worse than a Diddy video. We have video of you walking to your sushi date that you were running late for. And it turns out, it turns out. Don't do it, Tony. Don't do it.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Black, this is racism. Go, go, say it. do it, Tony. Don't do it. This is racism. Go. Say it. Say it. Say it. You almost said black on black crime and then you switched it to racism. Right. I'm going to bring black as your people say.
Starting point is 00:26:54 He's always got to pull the race card. He's always talking about we know he's black. So where does this video have on it, Tony? The video has you hanging out with people at a fire department. You stopped off in front of a fire department. You were petting the Dalmatian. You were meeting, shaking hands with the firefighters. You did not. You were not running late
Starting point is 00:27:13 for a sushi date. We have video proof of it. Do you remember stopping off at a fire department and hanging out with the Dalmatian? We have video of you going down the pole and stuff. Where'd you get this video? One of my production assistants followed you out
Starting point is 00:27:33 fucking like 20 paces behind. Yo, did they did? Okay. I swear to God, I'm not even kidding. I don't think it was a Dalmatian. It wasn't a Dalmatian. It was a German shepherd. What up?
Starting point is 00:27:51 I'm for the people, bro. These are the people that are saving our lives. And I took one second just to say thank you and thank you for your service. And your punk ass producers feel like they need to follow me and get this as evidence and receipts to throw back in my fucking face. Really? We were going to take the video. The other producers wanted a red band and everybody else wanted to take that video and plug it into the episode after you walked off. When I'm like, I don't know where Donnell went.
Starting point is 00:28:21 He must be in the bathroom. You know where I went, son. I told you. I said I had where Donnell went. He must be in the bathroom. You know where I went, son. I told you. I said I had a prior engagement. You knew this, Tony. Yeah. Yeah. You knew this.
Starting point is 00:28:34 That engagement was at like 10 p.m. Our show started at 8. You left at about, I don't know, 8.50, 8.55. You had some time to kill. So there you are spinning down a fireman's pole i wasn't spinning no diddy i didn't spin down no did i spin that's on the video i think yeah they let you turn on the lights and the sirens you were like a little kid or something i don't know what was going on but you were straight up busted man we have a actual video of it it's it's very funny you're sitting on the
Starting point is 00:29:06 curb petting the dog oh no stop it yeah you were clearly pondering you made the right decision walking off the show i did not walk off the fucking show i did not you did i yeah you did remove myself i removed myself from a toxic situation to maintain my mental health that's what the fuck i did and how did you remove yourself was it with a crane was it with uh was it with a was it did you get it on rollerblades or did you walk i don't know if you hear me donnell but i cannot believe you would walk off on your own show you should have done that at the diddy party I saw you sitting between his legs all happy and shit. I wasn't in between his legs! And it was daytime!
Starting point is 00:30:12 He's gone. Trials and tribulations. I wasn't between his legs and it was a fucking day party. A day party? Oh my god, he walked off again. This is unbelievable. Walk off, home run. That's your new nickname.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Hey Walker, Texas Ranger. Where did walk-a-flock-alocka Flame go? Oh my god. I just got walk blocked. This fucking guy. Walk Claude Van Damme over here. These guys, they get their new Nikes on. All they do is use them to walk off of shit. Goddamn night walkers over here.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Donnell. Donnell, Donnell. Always walking. Used to talk, now he just walks. Running off like a, like that guy with the fucking, what was his name? He had the plastic legs.
Starting point is 00:31:22 Oscar Pistorius. Hmm. Always excited to show everybody he can walk. Went from Ashy Larry to fucking Walkie Terry. Man. I mean, it is what it is, man. Compliment my hair, John L. Compliment my hair.

Starting point is 00:34:23 to sit down with me that That's one doctor I know. I know Dr. Dre. And I also know a good friend of mine that some years ago was a psychologist on a popular show called The Ricky Lake Show. And The Ricky Lake Show created a panel of experts of their expert opinions. And she was a psychologist, talked us through a lot of situations, a lot of situations happen in our life and some of the situations of guests. So I'm trying to get an understanding on how much should I elect? How much should I let someone else feeling dictate the way I think? Dr. Michelle is a relationship expert, a dating coach, a developmental psychologist, and a national media favorite.
Starting point is 00:35:07 She's appeared on Oprah, The Today Show, The Tyra Banks Show, America's Next Top Model, and as the resident psychologist and judge in the hit reality show, Queen Bees. Peace and pan-Africanism.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Peace and pan-Africanism. Peace and pan-Africanism. Peace and pan-Africanism, sister. africanism peace and pan africanism peace and pan africanism sister peace and pan snow bunnies never black chicks forever peace and pan africanism i just had to say that you've been a beautiful black queen and then the um comfort not the confrontation but the conversation i had with dr umar i had to let him know that i am i'm taking strides to be more in touch with my peace and panf africanism i have to tell you that i have a new tv show you do yes it's on max i meant to tell you when we were talking the other day it's on max oh that's so and it's called and it's called
Starting point is 00:35:59 fatal affairs oh so one of these times we'll have to talk about fatal affairs ah yeah exactly are we rolling right now yeah all right dr michelle oh man i don't know if you try to be on my show now i don't know if you try to set me up these producers try to set me up and i was having problems this has nothing to do relationships even though i do have some strained toxic relationships i do have them, right? I have them in my personal life. Unfortunately, I have them in my work life. I have goddamn toxic shit everywhere in my life.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And I don't know if somebody even said, Dr. Michelle, that maybe it's you. But we're not here to talk about those relationships. We're here to talk.'re not here to talk about those relationships we're here to talk we're here to relationship i have with people i don't even know people that only have a screen name people that could be a 50 year old kid in a high school that just wants to bully me and torment me through negative cringe comments yes which gets me to my next situation i know you engage in social media whatever but how much is social media an impact on our mental state and when is enough enough social media is huge in terms of its impact on mental health it creates a lot of anxiety for people a lot of anxiety for people, a lot of depression, sleeplessness, I mean, low self-esteem, low self-concept.
Starting point is 00:37:28 People are getting cyber-bullied, they're getting trolled. I mean, there's so much negativity out there that it's almost, it's like you can't not be out there, but being out there means you make yourself totally vulnerable to attack and it can be constant.
Starting point is 00:37:43 With all that background, it sounded like you just gave an introduction to who I am, but, but why is it? Why is it now? You got to just like, it's easy for me, me and the entertainers each for me to say, not easy for me to say, but it's easy for anybody to say, you know what? I just want to engage. I don't want to deal with it. But you know, now we're in a, in a, in a, in a world where social media can get you a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:38:06 It can get you the exposure you need. So it's like, how do you balance me wanting to engage with it, but at the same time not wanting to be so connected with it? You almost have to have this big pep talk with yourself about how to create sort of like a mental wall so that you don't absorb what you're hearing which is a lot easier said than done it's like somebody insults you or says something truly like cold-hearted dehumanizing or i mean that's what they say to me dr michelle well i know that's why i'm here to talk to you about it for you i don't think you need to talk to me you need to talk to them they're so disrespectful. You've been knowing me for over 20, 25 years.
Starting point is 00:38:48 You know I got a good heart. You know I don't want to hurt anybody. You know all I want to do is spread positivity. But they keep on bullying me. And I don't know what to do. Do I fight back and just destroy them? Fop, fop, fop. They're not like us.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Or do I sit back and try to understand them and maybe kind of correct certain things in my life? What do I do? The problem with fighting them and maybe kind of correct certain things in my life? What do I do? The problem with fighting them back is you'll be fighting every day. But I want to fight every day. No, but you can't because you'll never stop. It'll be, you'll be. I don't need to stop. Why do I need to stop fighting?
Starting point is 00:39:18 I'll give you a real quick story. My good friend Scarface, he was good friends with Tupac. And we was talking about Tupac one night. And he said, you know what? Tupac couldn't fight, but he wouldn't fight, so nobody wanted to fight him for like two weeks. Suppose I'd like to fight. Am I
Starting point is 00:39:34 a pussy by saying, what am I supposed to do? You fight him with your comedy. You fight him with your big picture words, not your little picture words. You don't let them bring you down to their level. They're not on your little picture words you don't let them bring you down to their level they're not on your level so you don't go down to
Starting point is 00:39:50 their level and now they're like look I got Donnell fighting with me you know what am I toxic am I toxic well you did tell you have said many times that you're a narcissist now
Starting point is 00:40:04 I Well, you did tell me you have said many times that you're a narcissist now. I said I might suffer from narcissistic. What is it? Narcissistic personality disorder. I think I do that. And then also the reason I call myself a narcissist sometimes because I'm being sarcastic to the people out there that I don't believe that. And I really believe that the people that are saying you're the narcissist the most are the narcissist. Is there any truth behind that? No, the people who are usually saying, well, maybe the people who are all the narcissists might be the narcissist themselves. That is a narcissist trick is to try to flip it around and actually make themselves the victim and the victim the attacker so that's the verse that doesn't make you toxic is that you are trying to bring joy and laughter and pleasant happy things to people and that makes a difference you are versed in this you know what you're talking about like what is the definition of a toxic
Starting point is 00:41:07 relationship because my definition is like oh they don't want to listen i think it's just i think it's the other end what is the definition of a toxic relationship a toxic relationship is when you are dealing with someone who's bringing you a certain amount of negativity. So it may be one way of them behaving towards you might be an unwillingness to listen, but it's basically when you find that that relationship is unhealthy and it could be for any number of different reasons. A lot of times toxic relationships include some form of verbal abuse. They talk to, okay, go ahead. Go ahead. What is it? Verbal abuse? What else?
Starting point is 00:41:46 Verbal abuse, psychological abuse. So if the person is name calling, insulting, if they are making you feel as if you're unimportant, as if your feelings don't matter, your thoughts don't matter, a lot of times it includes gaslighting. Gaslighting, because you're gaslighting i don't know what it really means but i like to use it in a sentence all right i mean all of my words and
Starting point is 00:42:12 this is so good i have somebody's versity words gaslighting for the mental non-mental health people out there that may not know what gaslight because i think all these words are just cool words to say but what is the definition of gaslighting? So gaslighting is when someone tries to convince you that your reality is not real. That things that you know are real are actually not real. So the things that they see that I didn't, the things they see, I didn't see,
Starting point is 00:42:39 they saw something different. They gaslighted. Is that gaslight? If, if I was in a picture with diddy right and somebody said uh shit somebody said it might have been a possibility of a freak off happening after this photo they gaslighting me right well it depends on if there was a freak off after the phone. No freak off. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:10 A gaslighting would be like me saying, hey, remember we were talking and you were sitting on that blue sofa. We were talking and you were like, no, we weren't talking. There was no blue sofa. And I was like, no, but there was. We were talking that day. Remember we were talking about gaslighting and you were like, no, we never had that conversation. Then I'm like, did that not happen? So this is how it comes up in a toxic relationship, though. Listen, real quick.
Starting point is 00:43:27 I'm sorry, Dr. Michelle. Really quick. Listen really quick. I need you to focus on this part, Alex. Go ahead, Dr. Michelle. Continue. I just want him to focus. Don't be something you're talking to me.
Starting point is 00:43:38 I'm talking to you. Sorry. No, he was talking to me because he's trying to reprimand me. He's trying to reprimand me. And then, and then Dr. Michelle, do you, do you not feel like there's an element to this that like we're dealing with like a classic narcissist who can't take responsibility for his behavior.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Who's getting feedback in the comments that are absolutely accurate, you know? And can't one time be like, maybe I should change my behavior to fit the audience. That's like putting food on my table you know all right dr michelle i think that's what's interesting about what's interesting about donnell where he has to decide does he want to go along and support what other people want or need from him or is he gonna be himself and oh let's talk girl let's talk but it's but it's himself just someone you can't let
Starting point is 00:44:26 that that question wasn't that question wasn't for you and we're going to start regressing to where we were but dr michelle have you have you seen have you seen have you seen like some of the episodes of this podcast or looked at some of the comments yes what are your thoughts well so i i'll be honest a lot of the comments that i read were very positive this is what i'm saying that's selective reading dr michelle a lot of comments i read were very positive they were like donnell is underrated he's hilarious i love the reboot i was like okay but know people say mean, nasty things in the comments. And yes, Donnell needs to be held accountable for some of his behavior.
Starting point is 00:45:08 There's good stuff. And there's things that he could work on and do differently or do better. And I think he knows that. I don't. And true narcissists don't. So like, for example, Dr. Michelle, like one of the main comments that people have made on Donnell recently is that he loves to interrupt and that when a lot of times people are talking, he's not even really listening and he's just waiting to make a joke or jump in. Do you feel like that's occurring at all? I look good.
Starting point is 00:45:35 I feel good. And I smell good. You know why I smell good? Why? I thought you. And more importantly, I smell good. You more importantly i smell good you know i smell good because the new deodorant you have so you can smell me oh
Starting point is 00:45:54 i smell fresh I know why I know why I knew it was Mando I knew it was Mando because well I I'm familiar with it and I can smell it

Starting point is 00:46:39 best deodorant i've ever worn and donnell you can use it on your whole body, right? I mean, you could use it on your whole body, but the places I appreciate it, I might not be able to share with you. Yes, it's safe to use over your whole body. And I tried it out.
Starting point is 00:46:55 And I also heard it lasts 72 hours, which is crazy. With a schedule like I have, you know, I could be on the road. So if I miss the shower, oh, maybe one day or so. So, you know, it be on the road so if i missed the shower oh maybe one day so so you know it's nice to know that i got coverage and i'll be smelling fresh for 72 hours and um uh you know they have a whole body formula there's no aluminum they have 72 hour odor

Starting point is 00:48:30 And you get to smell good. Hell yeah. You know what, Dr. Michelle? Guess what? People have been knowing my brand for over 25 years. I've been a part of Ricky Lake Show. I've been a part of panel shows. And people hire me to energize a conversation and to be who I am.
Starting point is 00:48:51 So for those people that want a certain podcast style or interview style, my suggestion with them would to be go listen to Don Lemon, go listen to Brian Gumbel, go listen to the people that feed what you need in the podcast. And what I'm not going to do is, after building a brand for 25 years, people know who I am. They know what my heart in the podcast. And what I'm not going to do is, after building a brand for 25 years, people know who I am. They know what my heart is and everything.
Starting point is 00:49:10 What I'm not going to do is change for anybody. And then you have an option whether you want to tune into me or tune out of me. But also know that the world that we're living in, in regard to getting clicks, in regard to getting exposure, a click is a click. And I even said earlier, your biggest hater is your biggest fan because that's the person going to check for you all the time just to see if you're talking about them.
Starting point is 00:49:36 So where do you find the balance between wanting to entertain this negative side of it and maintain your positive vibes about what you're trying to do i think you have to decide do you sleep well at night does it cost you relationships whether those are business relationships or personal relationships if it's doing you harm then it's not worth it right but if it's benefiting you and you're like, look, this is entertainment. Like you said, people are not tuning into this to hear the news. They're not tuning into this for a quiet, calm conversation. They want back and forth. They want it to be engaging. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:16 And people who have a lot of thoughts in their head, there's some people who tend to interrupt when they talk because they like to have fast conversation. They like to go back and forth. And if you're in a relationship with someone like that, even if it's you and the person is in, you're not happy and you feel that it's unhealthy. You feel that it is disrespectful. You feel that it's abusive or toxic that you shouldn't be in it and you should get out and you should in fact, get out of it. That's the other thing that we should say. If people don't like you, they shouldn't watch. And if they need to walk away from you because you're being unhealthy in a relationship, so be it. And you have the same choice with the people that you're dealing with. You can choose to walk away.
Starting point is 00:50:55 What makes a toxic relationship, in my opinion, is not being able to walk away from that same thing that gives you problems, makes you feel uncomfortable and not at peace with yourself. Right. Why is it so hard for a person to walk away from a toxic relationship? It's off. There's so many reasons. Right. Sometimes the reason is that your life is so intertwined with that person that it would be very uncomfortable for you to pull away from that relationship. But I'll tell you, the number one reason why it's so hard to walk away is because of the way in which people's lives wrap around each other's. And you get so confused between the way the person acts from day to day. So one minute they'll be really mean and nasty to you. Right. I got a word. Then they love bomb you.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I know that one. Then they love bomb you. Oh, I can't stand these love bombing bitches. Queens, Queens. The next thing that happens, so it's constantly, if the person was mean all the time, it would be easy to leave. It's the fact that they'll take you out to dinner one day,
Starting point is 00:52:02 then give you the silent treatment to you how to you the next how to you the next then they'll buy you something really nice how to better than a gift though but go ahead then they'll insult you and be really mean so but then they have to but that's the problem sometimes can can how to distort in relationships because of good good sex a lot of people are held in relationships because of good sex. A lot of people will have a very positive sex life and have a very negative relationship, but have a very healthy sex life. So what do you do? What do you do? What do you do if she got the whop?
Starting point is 00:52:40 What do you do? Then you need to be nice, don't you? You know, the next last person, let me explain something to you. The last person that told me to be nice, this is how that could be thrown off. I was at a, oh, fuck, I hate to say this word.
Starting point is 00:52:57 I was at a party. Oh. And I had a conversation with Sean, and I'm telling y'all this was not a freak off it wasn't even his party and i ran to him outside and i was going through it in my toxicity and in me being a narcissist with disorder syndrome whatever fuck whatever you call it and i was in a moment where and i know he might have been the wrong person to say this to but i was in a moment where i needed some advice from somebody that possibly went through it
Starting point is 00:53:38 and this was before any allegations of any sort was ever named. And I said, man, I'm stressed out. What do I do? And he looked at me, he said, be nice to her. I was like, what are you talking about? Now streaming. What do you know about the happy face killer? He's my father. It's so good to see

BetRiver Sportsbook is your home for chance, where you can experience the thrill of betting on the sports you love. BetRiver Sportsbook. Download the app. Take a chance. Must be 21 plus. Available in Iowa only. Void or prohibited. Terms and conditions apply.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Gambling problem? Call 1-800-BETS-OFF. I don't feel that at all. He said, be nice to her. And I took that advice, and I be nice to her and i took that advice and i was nice to her and it didn't do shit didn't make a difference didn't make a difference if you're in a toxic relationship then it doesn't matter what's happening during your sex life toxic is toxic it's great that you might have a break from the toxicity but you shouldn't ignore what's happening most of the time. If it's mostly bad, that means that something needs to happen.
Starting point is 00:55:30 And it's the hardest. Dr. Michelle, but what if here's the thing? What mindset is this? Trauma bonding. That's what they call it in the industry. But here's the thing, though, Dr. Michelle, in most cases, this is not just in my relationships, but in most relationships, if they look at the relationship and where it is and they look at the good times, right? The good times, the fun times, the times when you're connected, you're inspiring, you're motivating, all that. If they look at that, if they really put a scale up to it, it's more of those times than the bad times.
Starting point is 00:56:01 Why do people reflect on the bad times more than the good times? And why aren't they celebrated equally? I think that it's usually the reverse, that people give too much credit to the occasional good times and don't pay enough attention to the bad times because if they did, they'd probably get out of the relationship. So what usually happens is that the relationship is mostly bad, but they're ignoring how bad it is because they want to stay in it. So they only focus on the good parts, not usually the other way around where the relationship is mostly good and people only focus on the bad parts. But if you're in a relationship with someone who can't appreciate what you're bringing to the table,
Starting point is 00:56:44 that is how you know you might be in a relationship with the wrong person. I mean, if you're bringing a lot and you're doing a lot to support them and you're saying, oh, I'm inspiring, I'm doing all these different things and they're not appreciating it. You, of all people, have access to so many people. You go find somebody else. Hold on a second second i want to make phone calls so bad no not really i just i want to say this we were probably all over the place but in regard to how do you create better relationships and everything i think i got a little bit more insight on the direction that I need to go and in relationships I have you know not just personal like partnership but just business-wise and at the end of the day you tolerate something for so long but then there's at one point where you just say fuck it
Starting point is 00:57:42 you get to a place where you've had enough say, fuck it. You get to a place where you've had enough. I want to say, first off, thank you. It's so good to see you. It's so good to reconnect with you about a week ago. And I'm building something here on this podcast where I know that I have friends in my life that
Starting point is 00:58:02 could help me out on certain things. Starting point is 00:58:44 over 20 years. So if you're going to have a psychologist in your life, it should certainly be me because I can appreciate what you bring to the table and I will hold you accountable for your- Yo, you didn't have to point at me. You didn't have to point at me. Bring it down. You about to make me bunny hop. That finger is the reason why some men hop.
Starting point is 00:59:01 That finger, that finger is just Some people hop because of that finger. They hop because of like, okay, whatever, anyway. And you say that to say what? Don't bring the finger out. I'm about to be triggered. I'm making you laugh. Now, let me tell you about my show.
Starting point is 00:59:17 All right. So, my show is on... It's streaming on Max and it's called Fatal Affairs. Every episode is about a love triangle that ends in murder. Oh, Lord! This is not my...
Starting point is 00:59:29 How do they cast? You cheat, and, well, somebody gets murdered. And these are real stories? It's a true crime show. It originally aired on Discovery ID.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Okay. You know, that's the true crime, so... I guarantee guarantee my money bet is most of these situations happen in the midwest am i right or wrong there's a there's a significant number of stories that are happening in the midwest but there's some in the south and there's some on the east coast some on the west coast we got a little bit of everywhere we got a little bit of everywhere i We got a little bit of everywhere. I'm excited.
Starting point is 01:00:05 But you got to look out because there are a lot of toxic relationships that are happening in the show and that's how you often end up in the love triangle in the first place. What's interesting about the show
Starting point is 01:00:15 is that you never know who did it. You think you know. First of all, you think you know who's going to get murdered. I know who did it every time. She did it.
Starting point is 01:00:22 You'll be surprised by who gets murdered and then you're going to be surprised by who gets murdered and then you're gonna be surprised by who actually murdered them. Oh, man. That sounds like a much watch. I gotta watch it. And the reason why
Starting point is 01:00:31 I wanna watch it to avoid those similar situations and not let what's happening on your show run parallel with what's happening in my life.
Starting point is 01:00:39 That's what I love about the show is that it is a warning. Like, when you see these kind of signs, when you see these red flags, that's how you know. Don't do that it is a warning. Like when you see these kind of signs, when you see these red flags, that's how you know, don't do that or run away. Like learn to protect yourself. You might actually watch the show, see something, think of either yourself or someone, you know,
Starting point is 01:00:56 and say, you know what, this person might actually be in danger. And you know what? It also could teach and it also might get hurt hurt and it also could teach you how to off somebody i don't want to get to that point dr michelle i really appreciate your time i love you thank you keep doing your thing whenever i see you pop up in my algorithms or anything i always get excited because i know i say industries as i, and they say she a real one. Thank you.
