So everyone likes to say I go on different podcasts Donnell you have a bad temper you get upset
you're out of pocket you're overreacting you're sensitive oh my god can you calm down can you
let somebody talk and guess what I don't want to do none of that shit but I am working on
and this is something that's going to help me in my life my personal life and everything
I'm working on being a better person I'm working on being a kind of gentle person
I'm working on a person that can be calm enough to just hear what somebody has to say and value their opinion, value their ideas,
value their creativity, and value their work ethics. But sometimes, like in my personal life,
things don't always go as planned. Sometimes I'm in a good mood.
Sometimes I'm in a bad mood.
But the thing that I don't want to do because it's in my personal life too much.
I don't want to be in a toxic relationship.
I want people to understand me.
I want people to know that,
God damn it, Donnell,
you're going to try harder.
Donnell, damn it,
you're going to shut the fuck up
and you're going to listen
and value the opinions
of other people.
And as much as I try to do that,
sometimes it just doesn't work out the donna rollins show a reality show about a podcast
oh shit run the tape round here if it smell funny onions getting peeled round here if it smell funny
get your onion filled, round here Can't help it, small tigga, can't help it
Can't help it, small tigga, can't help it
Can't help it, small tigga, can't help it
Can't help it, small tigga, can't help it
Can't help it, small tigga, can't help it
God damn!
Yo, let me explain something.
No, I want to explain something.
You know what's more what's the worst than a toxic woman what a toxic mother man um what what's wrong i'm gonna tell
you what you first off toxic relationship only, me personally, it should be reserved for someone that I'm having intimacy with.
But when you start feeling like you toxic with a mother f***er, you like, God f***er.
Ha!
Can I ask a question?
No, no, I don't want you to ask no questions, please.
Guess what?
You have a system.
Your excitement comes from me being upset.
And you figured out a way to continue to make me do it.
So, you know what?
Mission accomplished with that.
And the f***ing thing, this is just life.
People, listen to me.
You ever be in a f***ing great motherf a great mother mood you had a whole box of your
favorite cereal oh you was watching your favorite mother cartoon you was feeling good you got good
sleep you slept on a double pillow top mattress. Your back had no ache.
You woke up not with a hangover.
You woke up and when you woke up, you visioned and heard birds chirping.
And you was thinking about the passing of Frankie Beverly and how his music brought so much joy and how people felt good.
And you're like, you know what?
Man, today is going to be a great day.
Even to the point where you say, you know what?
Somebody pitched a dumbass idea for a sketch to me last night.
Right?
And we got this thing coming up last night.
Hold on a second.
Hello?
Hello?
Hello, how are you?
Hey, what's going on?
Who is this?
This is Maria from the Law Factory? Hey, what's going on? Who is this? This is Maria from the Law Factory.
Hey, what's up?
You sound like you're about to sell me some shit.
What's going on?
What do you like?
First off, first off.
No, first off.
First off, let me say this.
I'm right in the middle of my podcast.
You called, right?
And the topic we're talking about is when you're in a good mood you feel good happy feelings in the joy and happy feelings you feeling that way and you tell
yourself you say you know what i am not gonna let anything distract me from feeling good you're like
just nobody can make me not feel good and then you run into a person that makes you not feel good.
I'm sure she's feeling this right now.
I want to talk to, no.
Here's again.
Can you please let this poor girl go?
No, I'm not.
Here's the thing.
Here's the thing.
And of course, here's my point.
Here's the thing.
I'm asking her a serious question.
You want to interject what you both think is a joke,
and I'm trying to get an understanding from her.
How does that.
Is that f***ed up?
And I'm just talking about.
The worst thing to a toxic woman.
Is a toxic man.
If you're a man.
How do you avoid toxic people?
Wait is she still on the phone?
Hello?
Yeah.
I'm here.
Because whenever you see me, how do you feel?
Who are you asking?
I feel happy.
If y'all don't shut the fuck up and let me fucking host and run the fucking show.
And this is what the fuck you get off on.
What entertains you motherfuckers
nobody is
checking for this podcast
to fucking hear you be
funny
see she would have never faced this
and now you want to do it
I swear to god I'm about to talk
I'm going to you know what I'm about to do
I'm about to fucking kill Tony's shit
because it's the same fucking thing man
I'm just saying chill bro
This is a lady calling you from employment
No it's not his lady
And she's listening all the time
Alright you guys do jokes
Go ahead tell your joke
Come into the stage
Tell your fucking joke
She called me from the comedy club
Because she wanted to talk to me
About doing a show
I was going to talk about that
But doing that
I was feeling a certain way I can't talk to you motherfuckers about yeah i was gonna talk about that but doing that i was feeling a
certain way i can't talk to you motherfuckers about it because you think it's funny and i'm
talking about energy okay the energy i was on and someone did something to fuck my energy up
right how do you avoid that do you just say fuck these people i'm talking to if you want to say
the caller how do you deal with people
what's her name
what do you want to ask
yeah
Maria
what was your energy like before this phone call
she'll tell you if you shut up
why
tell her why you called me
okay
no yeah I'll tell you what her injury
is oh my god this is what her energy is oh my god donna early in town we love when you come to the
laugh factory you always bring such great energy such positive vibes you're fair to everybody you're
cool and we were wondering if you could come today that was a conversation was and i couldn't say
fuck this podcast and talk to her that's what the conversation was but you want to continue to draw you want to continue to draw the narrative of comedy i'm just
telling you let me talk and that point i was making when i came here today first off you're
talking about today tonight you had a spot tonight maria yes please yes i do what time what time is
the spot i don't know if i can make it, but what time is the spot?
8 o'clock show, and I can probably work you in whenever you need.
Can you set me as a allow because I'm running around?
You're going to put this poor woman through all of this and then not even show up?
Maria, what I'm going to do is I'm going to call is What I'm going to do is
I'm going to call you when I finish this podcast
Right
Why can't you commit to Maria
Why can't you be dependable enough to commit to Maria
Maria has from 8 to 10pm
You can just pick a time
I'm going to call you when I get off this podcast
Alright
Okay can we put you in the flyer That's what I'm going to call you when I get off this podcast. All right?
Okay, can we put you in the flyer?
That's what I'm saying.
I don't want to commit.
She should put you in the flyer, Donnell.
It'd be so great for Maria.
I'm going to call you back.
Oh, my God.
Donnell, can I tell you about what saved my life?
No.
Because what that is, I'm so upset about it.
Oh, my God.
Oh, no, Alice, tell me what saved your life.
Well, honestly, I feel so unheard right now.
Okay, go for it. Okay, well, I'm just going to say that, like, from... I feel so unheard right now. Okay, go for it.
Okay, well, I'm just going to say that like... I'm sorry.
Go.
The disrespect I feel right now takes me back to like when my hairline was receding.
Oh, it was the best part of my life.
And I just remember
how feeling how small like i wasn't myself and when i found out about hymns it really changed
everything and in almost no time at all i hate the fact that you found something that boosted
your confidence but go ahead but now my hair is out i have more fullness and definition than I've had in years. And it's all
because of HIMSS. And again, it's as little as three to six months to see real results.
HIMSS provides access to a range of hair loss treatments that work all from the comfort of
your couch. So all you do Donnell is you go online, you fill out a few little questions
or questionnaire, and then a medical provider will determine if the treatment is right for you.
And if prescribed your treatment is sent right to your door,
you can find out,
you can basically,
they offer chewables,
orals,
sprays,
serum treatments.
So whatever is best for you,
hymns has it.
So you mean to tell me that I could get this hymns.
Yeah.
I could go look at myself and see the possibility of some
hair growing back and nobody in my neighborhood has to know about it no no but they'll notice
the results and they'll be like do you look younger do you look better do you have a uh
a chiseledness to your face that you didn't have before you know um i know that this is a good
product hopefully i don't know I know results may vary.
But I am excited to see what it could do for me.
I think it would get you acting work.
I don't need acting work.
I am too excited about doing this great podcast.
I'm just saying Idris Elba has hair, you know?
Well, okay.
Then maybe I'll try it.
Maybe I'll try it.
Maybe I'll try it. Oh, I didn't know that because they call me Idris Elba.
But I wonder if Idris Elba ever did hymns.
And maybe that's the secret.
Aegis Elba growing his hair back and people not knowing how he does it.
I might give hymns a try.
And I have to say, for the point of clarity, we don't know whether he has or hasn't.
But judging by his beautiful hair, I wouldn't be surprised.
All right.
Enough is enough.
I want it.

you been enjoying football this season i've been enjoying football but i haven't been enjoying
working with you but anyway that's a new it's a new day, like, I'm honestly not that much of a football guy, but, like, hopefully.
Let's go, Commanders!
Go ahead.
I'm sorry.
Yeah, you know, like, I'm from Seattle, but it's not great being a Seahawks fan.
I know.
I'm sorry to hear that.
It's not.
But, like, hopefully Katie and I are working with John Gruden soon.
What do you mean, you and Katie?
What about me, you, and Katie working with John Gruden?
Well, John Gruden didn't say he wanted to work with you.
I don't think you asked the right questions.
I did.
I did.
I was like, hey, John Gruden, you're trying to build your podcast empire.
And he said, Katie and Alex, I need you.
You're the cornerstone I have here.
And then he brought out the whiteboard from his YouTube show.
And then he pretty much put Katie and I in all the offensive line positions.
Right.
About how all the bad
things from the entertainment industry can't.
Well,
I would like to have a personal conversation with John Gruden because I'm not
going to take your word for it.
Well,
you know,
the great thing about working with John Gruden is also with football in
general,
like personally why I don't get invested that much before like talking with
John and his team is they like tell you all the things to be excited about.
And when I've used prize picks as well,
it makes football and sports so much more fun
because you're invested in all these ways
that you kind of weren't before.
And I've heard about people that really
don't know how to have fun with that.
So if prize pick is doing it,
it sounds like something I want to be involved with.
Hell yeah.
And they have a bunch of really cool specials right now.
Like one Caleb Williams passing yard gets you one win on prize pick every week in December.
That's right.
Only one yard gets you an automatically win every football weekend in September.
Four weeks of free W's.
Don't miss out on the deal of prize picks because when it's September ends, it's gone.
And there's just so many more things like that, Donnell.
Right.
You know, they have, they've invented the flex play,
which means you can still cash out.
If your lineup isn't perfect, you can double your money.
Even if one of your picks doesn't hit, you know,
and prize picks is,
is the only real money daily fantasy platform with an injury insurance policy
so that your lineups stay in
play. Even if one of your players gets injured, if your player leaves in the first half and doesn't
return prize picks your picks and still live. Oh man. The fact that you can have a player get
injured and still be in the game. That's kind of dope. It's so cool. Um, it really feels like
they're a genuine company that wants to get you involved in sports more and is a real community.
They need to focus on Jay Daniels.
But anyway, I'll pick that later.
And what's cool, they even have the opportunity so you can play prize picks alongside some of your favorite people like Drewski and Sugar Sean O'Malley from the MMA.
We don't have to talk about Joe Budden.
They work with Joe Budden, but we don't have to talk about that.
That's my guy, yeah whatever yeah i didn't even know that joe buzz was down
was down with prize pick yeah prize picks is down with every right they're great and like um you
know you've won some money with the commanders with this yes and do you have any like honestly
do you have any picks coming up? You know?
This is going to be my pick.
Commanders, commanders, commanders, commanders.
It's the first time in a while that we have been able to be excited about something.
So me teaming up with my team and prize picks sounds like the thing to do.
So you're taking commanders this weekend?
All day.
I'm taking commanders for the rest of the season.
We're going to the Super Bowl.
Me, the commanders, and prize pick, we're going to the Super Bowl.
So what else should we take with this Cardinals game? I just said it.
Just the Commanders?
Okay.
Nobody else we should play with?
Commanders.
Everybody on the Commanders?
Commanders.
There's no top Commanders player?
Down with the Cowboys.
Commanders all day.
Okay.
I don't know how helpful this is going to be for a lot of listeners.
For Commanders fans, it's going to be great.
Okay.

Play your game.
Commanders.
All right.
I love you.
I'll call you back.
See, but this is a part of the problem.
And this is part of where the toxicity comes from.
You know what I mean?
Come on.
Come on. Oh, nothing sucks. No, not the socks.
Yo, y'all fucking with me.
And you don't get it.
I don't like...
Yo, real talk.
Run this episode.
I don't like when you think you're fucking funnier than me, bruh.
I don't like when I'm fucking talking to somebody
and I'm asking you to chill,
but you want to come in with the fuck you think is funny.
No, she asked you to show up, dude.
I was trying to say something and you keep on ha-ha-ha with this dumb shit.
God damn, man.
Like, what the fuck, yo?
Like, God damn, bro.
I keep trying to work with this shit, man.
I keep fucking with this shit.
You keep saying shit's going to be different or whatever.
This is what I'm talking about with the toxic shit.
I keep working.
I keep working with this shit.
I fucking have meetings.
I say, how do we listen to each other and become better?
Yeah, I say I hate this idea, but for the sake of your creativity
I know you're onto something I will work with it the point
I was trying to make when I came to work. I had two things I could have done
I could have said fuck Alex and his idea. I said, you know what I can make Alex idea work
That's what the fuck i said coming to work
today i said i'm gonna put everything to the side and i'm gonna give this motherfucker what he wants
have you asked no i just want to say this yeah and i'm saying this after hearing someone said
i think it was jerry seinfeld somebody had a new show or whatever. Tonight's show or something. I don't know exactly what it is.
And they said, what advice?
He said, whatever you do, fail at exactly what you want to do.
Don't fail at what somebody else wants to do.
That kept ringing in my ear.
That's why I listened to it.
With that said, and maybe this will drop, whatever.
With that said, I continue to try to tell you this is how we
can make the podcast better.
I keep saying that and every time
I say it, everything we talk about
you go completely against
for the sake of
a laugh.
And I've been getting laughs for 33 years.
I'm trying
to understand this shit.
Can I tell you what that was symbolic of?
I keep telling you.
Let's break down that phone call for a second because it was a very interesting phone call.
Yo, if you listen to it.
And it's part of the problem.
So we started the phone call.
First off, I don't have a problem.
We started the phone call about toxicity in the workplace.
Right.
And then who guides the story?
Who guides the story?
You or me?
No, but then this woman gets on the phone.
You know what she's getting on the phone with you for, right?
You could have been like, I'm recording the podcast, but I didn't want to do that.
You know why I didn't want to do that?
I'll tell you why.
Cause you didn't want to listen and you wanted to clown it.
So I said, here's somebody to listen to the point I'm trying to make it.
The point I'm trying to make is feeling good about something, feeling good about something.
And the energy comes and fuck it up. You didn't want to hear hear that neither one of you guys wanted to hear it so i said guess
what i got somebody and i could hear that from we were hearing it no but then you kept trying to
clown this you know what this is symbolic of everything we're dealing with and the reason
why it's symbolic i'm not going to be on your couch alex i'm not on your fucking couch okay
i'm not on your couch and you are not my fucking therapist.
All right?
You keep on talking about this is a problem.
I don't have a fucking problem.
You know who has a problem?
You.
Whether I do this podcast or not, guess what?
I'm going to still sell socks.
And you're going to keep on thinking what the fuck you think is funny.
You're going to keep on thinking what you think is funny,
and we're going to sell what you think is funny,
not what Donnell thinks is funny, what you think is funny.
You're in control of this whole situation.
I am not in control of the situation.
You are.
When I came here today, you're the one that brought negative energy, Alex.
You had a problem.
You know you had to fix it.
You brought the negative energy, and you made everything around you tense.
And guess what I had to do?
Break that down and continue to go work to get to the point where this is a good podcast.
You brought that energy.
You brought that energy.
You brought that energy, and then you want to make it.
Now you're in a good mood.
That ain't fair to nothing.
I would rather fail at what I want to do instead of failing what somebody else wants to do.
No one's forcing you into anything right now.
You made that phone call.
You talked to that lady.
And here's another thing.
And you talked to that lady about other people fucking up your energy, right?
This is a funny thing.
And so, Donnell, you talked to that lady about other people fucking up your energy.
You went.
You knew what you wanted.
You made it all about you.
And at the same time.
Oh, my God.
Wait a minute.
So, wait a minute.
Let me get this right. And then secondly. Okay, let me get this right. And then secondly. I made it all about you. And at the same time. Oh, my God. Wait a minute. So, wait a minute. Let me get this right.
And then secondly.
Okay, let me get this right.
And then secondly.
I made it all about me.
Part of the toxicity, Donnell, has to do with showing up and being consistent.
All right.
Okay, you said.
What's so hard about saying I can show up at 830?
You know why?
Because I'll tell you 8.
And know what you'll tell me?
I'll be there at 830.
And then another thing you'll tell me.
When I get here.
When you say be here.
But the lady's going to be here at 1030, be ready to roll.
I walk in, no fucking cameras on.
I got my socks ready.
I'm ready to walk right on this couch and go to work.
And guess what I say?
What you say?
Fuck.
Ah, I'm not ready.
What did I do?
Go ate a bowl of motherfucking soup and said, I'll wait.
And what I, and also with that.
Which was awesome.
The point of that whole conversation is
the argument,
the conversation we're having right now,
I have no problem
having that conversation
with a lover.
I don't have a problem
having that conversation
with a baby mother.
I don't have a problem
having that conversation with a woman I'm dating. I don't have a problem. I have that conversation with a woman I'm dating.
I don't have to have a problem in that conversation with somebody's hot to in me.
But the point I was making about all this, I can not be in a toxic relationship with a nigga.
I work with.
You're creating the toxic environment.
Kill Tony!
Do you want to try to make this not toxic? I don't want to try to do anything.
That's the closing.
You can run the table, keep cracking jokes if you want,
but you can't get no closer, no wrap up.
Do you remember what the name of the show is?
Yeah.
Anybody guess?
I'm just wondering.
Does anybody know the answer to the name to the Don Air Rollins show?
Right, so, I mean
Call me an asshole, whatever
But if I was a smart thing to do
Can you at least get on camera?
Get on camera
At least have it in front of the security camera
I know, you can hear me
Here's the point
Put a picture up here
Of one person
That should be able
To shift the direction of the show.
That's what.
You're the one talking the whole time.
Shift it.
Do whatever you want to do.
Take the power.
It's all done.
You keep trying to.
Take your power, dude.
This is not the place for this.
You want the red?
Do you want the red socks?
Yeah, because I want to do a witness.
That's a power.
I can't have a pair of socks?
Yeah, you got a pair of socks.
Here you go, brother.
Here you go, brother.
