Hello, and welcome to a podcast starring two people who've not once ever been wrong about anything ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. It's us, Megan and Melissa. We're so excited to be here.
Starting point is 00:01:24 We missed you last week. We did. We did miss you. And if you missed our faces, you can watch the video version on Patreon. And thank y'all for being patient with us. And you should just know that I think it's going to pay off tenfold because not only what I picked for the write-in for But Are You Wrong
Starting point is 00:01:41 is something that I'm so excited to talk about. I have such a list of so many. We've got so much to cover. We do. We do. And I think it's going to be a good time. in case you're new here this is but am i wrong this is a podcast where we a podcast this is a podcast where we ethically shit talk in a structured way first segment well we'll get
Starting point is 00:02:03 into the segments when it's time to get into the segments but uh you can participate by sending us a dm or emailing us at but am i wrong pod at gmail.com once again that's but am i wrong pod at gmail.com and i think we should just take it away because this is going to be a thick episode girthy some might say if you heard see you next tuesday you'll understand correct all right i am up first it's time for but am i wrong this is when we take something from our own lives or propose a topic or go on a rant about something in the world that we have strong feelings for and mine i only wrote a few sentences down because I feel that you'll have a lot of thoughts and feelings on this as well. And my hot topic, hot thing to discuss is that I think that Drew Barrymore
Starting point is 00:02:55 should go back to acting. She needs to wrap up her daytime TV talk show hosting. Her being in people's laps in every episode is embarrassing and uncomfortable to watch. Her being a scab is embarrassing and uncomfortable to watch and then most recently her telling our vice president that we need a mamala was beyond embarrassing you would not tell a male politician that we need a daddy for the country and i'm not saying like she shouldn't work she is a multi-generational nepo baby so she has money but also like let's go back to charlie's angels like i would love she partnered up with Elizabeth Banks and they combined that Charlie's Angels with the current Charlie's Angels I think it'd be phenomenal she could start a book club she could garden she could
Starting point is 00:03:52 she loves just like standing outside in the rain and sharing that she could just be like a social media influence she had she has a lot of options for what she could do with her life and I'm not I also don't want the people that work on the show to lose their jobs or anything. I just say, give it to Kiki. They can all keep their jobs. Just Kiki. And I think that would,
Starting point is 00:04:17 it really make daytime a better place. Go ahead. Yeah, the timing of this is literally hilarious because as we were about to hit record, I started saying, what did I even specifically say? I was like, the thing that really, I was like, the thing that really pisses me off
Starting point is 00:04:32 about that Drew Barry, and I was like, save it. And so what really makes me upset about, like, all your points are correct, but from an internet user standpoint, what this has done, it has made the, you think I just fell out of a coconut tree? It has made that is gone. And now we're in the mamala phase. And I go, no, no, we gotta go back to coconut tree because that did not, like, I'm still there. I'm still in the coconut tree. and the thing about the coconut tree is she was spitting facts like it's not like it was just came out of nowhere like if you listen to the whole thing she was she had it was a great comparison it's just the laugh that was in the middle of it no she was part of her charm and that's fine but like yeah i still want to be on the coconut tree i'm still here in the coconut tree i need you guys to get back up in the coconut tree with me and yeah she was like it was she was
Starting point is 00:05:24 gentle parenting adults and she was delivering it a line similar to that of a librarian on like a sunday book circle read for the children of the neighborhood and um dare i say hilarious wonderful loved it i think that drew barrymore first of all she also has her line at walmart which does incredibly well she's got her makeup line which also does really well i would love another drew barrymore doesn't need any more money no but like she seems like she likes to like stay busy and do stuff yes i would love another drew barrymore book like i think a lot of people like she like really connected with Jeanette McCurdy
Starting point is 00:05:56 and like maybe she needs to wait till her mom dies so she can like really write a book so I think she could have a career akin to Jennifer Garner
Starting point is 00:06:05 she's got like Jennifer Garner does her like once upon a farm stuff she's like makes baby foods and like easy you don't have to be a baby
Starting point is 00:06:12 to eat them like you know simple foods like that that are grown on her family farm yeah everyone loves it and she also every once in a while
Starting point is 00:06:21 will do a movie where she's playing a mom delivering like a really important message in a coming of age film and she's probably got more stuff in the works like that's what she's kind of done for like the last couple years as well as doing like crushing it on social media and then like using her fame to like go dance with the Rockettes which is like that's what you do when you're a talk show host and she's not even a talk show host like Drew Barrymore if you want to go dance with the Rockettes Jennifer Garner's doing it like I just think that this is we're in such a uh unique as someone who loves a fucking
Starting point is 00:06:52 daytime talk show like we're in such a oversaturation of it that like i just don't think that we need it especially because they're all in new york at this point like we've got i mean jennifer hudson's not we've got i'm not going to address the ones that kelly no kelly moved to new york so i always i wondered if and then moved here i thought it was the opposite i wondered if drew like they were she was going to end because kelly moved to new york i knew that because my cousin worked on it when it first came out so yeah that makes sense yeah so I think between Jennifer Hudson Kelly and Drew Barry like they're having a lot of like repeat guests and like of the same stuff and I just think that if you want to have a feel-good emotional John Green novel talk show
Starting point is 00:07:39 where like we're like a lot of emotions and crying then I think you don't interview celebrities like you just have random people on who like want to cuddle up with you in a bed and like be so touchy feely but similar to oprah that would make me incredibly uncomfortable and i don't think that there's any malice or ill intent by her but i think the issue is is that like when you're as famous as she is and you have a talk show and you go on it like your team is kind of just like you're gonna go on the drew barrymore show and it's like well i guess i just have to buckle in for this and i don't think anyone's telling her to like maybe not do that because they're like no we love everything we love the way that you we love this about you and there's nothing wrong
Starting point is 00:08:21 with that like you can be like a totally like a very intense emotional person like that um but it might not be comfortable for everybody to do that on tv yeah and i think she's so interesting in the sense that like i think she's a good convert i like have liked her on podcasts and like all of that stuff and i do think it sometimes like it's the overexposure where i go you've got so many opportunities to do stuff that's gonna make people really that you're not gonna be proud of podcast would be perfect actually i heart scoop her up bow and yang you can produce it bow and matt rod they can produce like i just think that anything that is like so emotionally emotion forward led like that on it is a bubble that will burst in the sense that like people are
Starting point is 00:09:06 gonna hate it and then i don't that's that's that's that's tough also you don't have to worry about scabbing if you go to podcasting yeah and they also do like a digital show it just feels like a lot she's giving so much of herself to this that like it's it's a podcast yeah you don't podcast you don't need to do that you're you're you're very famous and you're very well off like you don't need to like bleed out for the public in this way you know and then you're gonna be remembered for a talk show and i don't feel like that's what she wants either no well that's my hot take now it's your turn love it so my hot take is just a sentence it's insane to charge people money to teach people how to get out of debt and stop spending money so i feel like this
Starting point is 00:09:59 has been like on the tip of my tongue or like something i've thought for a long time and i feel like i end up on there's someone who is her name i don't actually i don't know what her name is i don't want to like say a random name and have it direct someone else but there's someone on tiktok who like someone had tagged me being like you guys kind of look similar we have like similar eyes and so i was like oh i see it there's like a certain kind of look that someone says i look like this person i can usually see that it's from a specific feature and she was like in deep credit card debt i want to say like over thirty thousand dollars fifty thousand dollars like a lot of credit card debt. And she moved back home and was paying all of it off. And she was able to do it. It was
Starting point is 00:10:37 wonderful, celebrated. I have no issue with her content whatsoever. But this is just to say that me watching her led me into my algorithm feeding me other people in saving money and how they got into debt or whatever. And so many people who have gotten into debt, again, I have no issue their videos with the people in the comments are being like, I know it's a steep upfront charge, but you should buy this book. Oh, no, no, you should get this seminar. This helped me so much like this. He is so great with money. And like, I didn't spend any money I go minus a $500 to spend to enroll in this course. Like, I think that automatically it delegitimizes someone without a doubt that I'm like, if I I'm about to start a fucking grift where I'm going to be like,
Starting point is 00:11:25 here's how to save money and get out of debt and i'm gonna sell a one thousand dollar ebook on the first page it's gonna say you got got dumb this is why you're booking debt because you bought this thousand page book like it just makes me so irate because it's like preying on the financial illiteracy which as someone who like did not grow up with financial literacy and like still to this day like i have a very hard time with that and i'm very lucky in the fact that like i yes i worked hard but like i am adhd one of the good things about it is out of sight out of mind like i am not a hyperspender like i save all of my money but that's because i can't do i all of the money stuff stresses me out but like the idea that the service in which you provide as an everyday person
Starting point is 00:12:11 without a credential if you have scoured the internet and found all of these things you've got all of these different tips or whatever everything that everyone has access to already and you've made it slightly easier and will package it in a somewhat condescending, tough love kind of way, I think that my bigger conspiracy theory is those people are keeping people in tech. And all the success stories of that
Starting point is 00:12:37 are minuscule compared to the people who keep buying their products, spending more money because the other one didn't work, and then you're selling them on something else. And you can actually only be profitable and make money as someone like that if people are going into debt. I agree. I have nothing to go against on that. If you want some free financial advice, I produce a podcast called Bad With Money with Gabe Dunn. I could occasionally
Starting point is 00:13:04 appear on it as well. And we have financial experts on there all the time giving free advice and they have great tips. So if you want a free resource, there you go. Yep. Yep. It makes me like so mad and I know there's something more sinister under I'm just like yeah I don't know it feels like the same thing of like you you finding out that someone who's like oh actually I think we should not eat uh we shouldn't eat soy anymore I think it's like really really bad for you and you find out that they're like big dairy or whatever like it feels to me like something I'm like you're you only benefit from this when people do the exact thing you're telling them that you're saving them from right and we had a debt lawyer on the podcast leslie tain and she
Starting point is 00:13:54 had so much good free advice on i'm like you've got a lawyer here who is helping people get out of debt who gives free advice and also does free consultations and also like negotiates on behalf of you for debt collection companies to get you way have to pay way less money and she just takes a part of that fee like it's not like you have actual experts that exist and I just don't think people know that they exist no and I I wholeheartedly agree like it it feels like there's a reason why Dave Ramsey was able to get so popular and all that shit and like if anyone can make a full-time job being a quote-unquote entrepreneur about how they got out of debt a they were not and that much debt to begin with.
Starting point is 00:14:39 And B, the way they got out of debt was their circumstance and the situation, whether they had family with money and all of this kind of stuff. Like you don't go from being like dirt poor, so fucking broken, so in debt to then taking the risk to be an entrepreneur, selling a self-help book and sell.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Like that's just, that's also bad financial advice. Like you wouldn't give any, like, and it just makes me like so mad and like preying on people. And yeah, like I just seeing people specifically like seeing like young women in so much fucking debt And then seeing all of these people selling these fucking expensive ass courses from these men and all of this shit is just like, no. So follow influencers who are getting out of debt and
Starting point is 00:15:18 they're talking about the things that they're doing and tying the emotional aspects to that of being like, oh, I noticed that I was doing this and spending this or whatever. And these things have helped me and all of that. So when you take away the shame of it, but if you just buy a fucking ebook, you're being shamed into what you're doing versus somebody else being like, here's all the shame that i carried from when i did x y and z release that shame this is what i'm doing to fix it also if you're just following what they do it's not going to help you out of your specific situation that was specific to them yep and uh most of the time it's it's circumstance and luck and that can't be recreated recreated twice so i do want to promo this girl britney
Starting point is 00:16:03 Reynolds yeah did did a whole payday about like it was just basically documenting and I saw like the first video documenting like I'm this much in debt I'm really lucky that my parents let me move home this is what I'm gonna do and like I spent on this and like I like was able to track my spending habits and now what she's doing she's officially paid off all of her debt but what she's now doing is she's comparing what she spends in a month this like present day month like what she spent in March to what she spent in March of last year and like how her spending habits have changed to like look at the difference between that and talks about like the quality of life like how those things she wasn't it wasn't changing her quality of life for the better
Starting point is 00:16:44 and was detrimental and it that to me is like that's inspirational content there because like realistically getting out of debt is not there's no secret to getting out of debt it's making more money than you're spending like that's what it is and like whether it's like you have to whatever you have to sell whatever you have to do but all of that like no one's going to be telling you something you don't you don't know and like spending money it's there's an emotional aspect to it and it's like I think when women are being vulnerable about that that has far more benefits than buying a workbook of a man going stop buying avocado toast you poor all right well we're going to take a break. When we get back, we'll get into, but are you wrong?

Hi, Megan and Melissa. I have a pretty specific, but am I wrong? But I'm curious about what you guys think. So for context, I'm 25 and I started what you can barely call a small business
Starting point is 00:19:36 while in between jobs in 2022. I paint and create digital designs for stickers and bookmarks and whatnot. I had gotten accepted to sell work in my local farmer's market maker section, which I am so excited about. There are a variety of shops and businesses that sell here, mostly jewelry, candles, and some artwork. This wasn't my full-time job as much as I wanted it to be, but I really enjoyed creating things to show every weekend and meet new people that were interested in my art. There was this one girl that I couldn't help but be annoyed by. She had all different quote-unquote cartoon versions of TV and movie characters on coasters, lanyards, t-shirts, keychains, etc. She did relatively well at the markets, especially with parents
Starting point is 00:20:22 and young kids, and would point out characters like Cookie Monster or Mickey Mouse. Am I just jealous or am I justified in being annoyed that this person is clearly just taking stolen artwork and placing it on t-shirts to sell as her own? As someone who genuinely draws all of my digital designs i get extra annoyed at people that make a killing on etsy selling stolen artwork i'm sure some of my annoyance comes from jealousy that they're making more money lol but selling art is hard i'm curious what you guys think of this situation as a whole i am reminded of this while watching do we know them this week hope you guys are having a good week i was literally gonna bring it up and i was like this reminds me of what they just talked about yeah so i don't know if this is
Starting point is 00:21:10 what you were going to say but there was a girl that is selling was or made a shirt that was from olivia rodriguez like in the same design just change one word same like the exact same thing stars are in the exact same place and she it said like dad that idea right yeah that idea right which is the original merch was bad idea right bad idea right so this girl got online and was like i'm so mad they stole my art i'm gonna sue but all she did was change one word everything else she stole it to begin with no they stole my stolen art and like you can't get mad i mean not you not you but i think you the writer are not wrong at all like you're right like what she's doing is illegal like if disney found out about disney does not play about their artwork and if disney
Starting point is 00:22:12 knew this was happening they would shut her down immediately i get mad even like i've been seeing people making like fake taking pictures from beyonce or taylor swift like pictures that they have on their actual merch that they're selling and then just screen printing it and then selling it on tiktok i'm like how why would you if you're an actual i know you're not an actual fan because if you were you wouldn't do that like you're just trying to make money off of what already exists i think that uh you're in the right and i would be mad too and um yeah it's just wrong like it's legally wrong yeah it's ethically wrong it's it's all of the above i feel the same way when i see things on etsy of like photographers i follow and it'll be like a print of and i'm like this isn't
Starting point is 00:23:07 their this is like somebody else who's like ripped this or stolen this and even people who will do things on like quote-unquote like royalty-free images or like uh non-copyrighted images and stuff on like unsplash and all of that stuff or and all of those things and it's like oh they throw a filter on and then they sell it as like framed artwork and like you actually don't necessarily know you can't reproduce things like you can't make money off of those things that you're getting for free like it's not even really a gray area like it's just like there are specific things of what you can use non-copyrighted or non like without a license what you can use those things for and making money on them in that way by selling a good or like a good from it is not it
Starting point is 00:23:46 I don't disagree at all. It is frustrating because it doesn't seem like there's a lot of regulation with that whatsoever. Unfortunately, it's easy money. And I sometimes wish that I didn't have such a strong moral compass because I go, damn, I could just say, fuck it, whatever. But I could never do something like that. Neither could you. But I think that you can be mad to yourself quietly and i would and you didn't ask about this but like i wouldn't say anything because i don't think that i think that everybody will end up where they're supposed to and the bubble will burst and good art will be appreciated if you're ripping things off from like major corporations you'll they'll you'll get a you'll get a cease and desist and all of that kind of
Starting point is 00:24:36 stuff but the uh there might be a reason why she's selling at in person versus on etsy especially if who's ripping off disney stuff so i think it's frustrating and i really wish there was a better way to protect that like i know other artists who i've worked with too who like will post like sheen like taking their prints that they in like art that they've made and then just like putting it on shit and they just like you know pay a fine or whatever and they're like okay and then it just like happens over and over again but i think specifically in a creative field or art or whatever i'm there it's so easy for me to like get mad at or annoyed with someone who i'm like they made this thing that is bad and it is being received in a way that people don't
Starting point is 00:25:17 like you should know that this is objectively not good or whatever and that does nothing for my creative process though so like i just do my best like i think tuning it out because they can be wrong but it needs either light a fire under your ass to make stuff you're super proud of or just ignore it and know that bubble's gonna burst because it's not gonna help your creative energy. And I'd love to see your art. Send us to our email. I would love to see what you make. All right, your turn. Hey Eminem, I am 28 she her. So at the beginning of the year, me and my husband made our resolutions for 2024. One of my husband's was try something new. So he came home the other day and was like, I found my something new resolution. I was so excited to hear
Starting point is 00:25:56 what he had decided on. This man said trying stand up comedy. And I laughed. Y'all, my husband is not funny he has funny moments but not what it would take for stand-up comedy i actually thought he was kidding aside from netflix specials i don't even think he's ever seen stand-up comedy needless to say i may have accidentally hurt his feelings when i told him that he wasn't funny i feel bad now but all i can picture is him on that stage and no one laughing am i wrong for telling him he's not funny and laughing at his something new i feel bad kind of i have lots of thoughts so do i think that you're wrong now that's a complicated question there's a lot of nuance to this um i can't fault you for your reaction because it's somebody who
Starting point is 00:26:46 has a hard time filtering herself and saying things and then going oh shit i should have not phrased it like that because your feelings are hurt i think that you might have been able to phrase it a little bit better and what i would have done is i would have if you could go back in time i would have faked shock and be like oh like i would have just been like you that's that's so so surprising to me i didn't i didn't know no because no matter what i'm gonna be an asshole because like then i'm like i didn't so do you think you're funny like i don't even know what the fuck i would say like this to me is similar if mods changed me and told me i want a dj where i would go this is a cry for help but i'm a self-proclaimed like bitch like i know i'm being
Starting point is 00:27:29 a bitch and an asshole so unfortunately this is going to be inconclusive for me because i i don't feel like i'm in a position to judge you for doing that but do i think if we were at the pearly gates they would say that was a little mean they would say yes and you and i would take the trip or pull down together stand-up comedy is a funny little genre because there are different branches of stand-up comedy there are people that write just flat-out jokes and maybe he's not funny like in real life but he could craft if he really sat down and studied it he might be able to craft a joke he could be the kind that tells a story he could be the kind that does crowd work he could just be get up there and be awkward and people think it's funny there's so many
Starting point is 00:28:22 different types of comedy and sometimes people are laughing at the quote-unquote comedians not with them and if he was self-aware of that then that would make him a funny comedian so I say you just sometimes people just have to try things out and see if they work because someone may not in their everyday life be charismatic but then they get up on a stage and they bring the house down we don't know we don't name one comedian who was not a class class like who was not like the funny one who i thought i follow a lot of comedians on or some of them are just like a lot of them are just like sad like they've been in trauma they've been in like some type of traumatic relation or traumatic something in their life and then they get they
Starting point is 00:29:20 use comedy as their therapy people can be good on stage even if they're not funny at home so i say let him try you might look you thought what he was you thought what he was saying was a joke and you laugh so therefore he might be funny we don't know again it you y'all talked about trying new things and he pitched something that he would like to try and you were being mean about it so but the thing is stand-up comedy like there are hecklers in stage so he can't take what he's getting at home he may not be able to take it on stage so really what melissa's saying is go to his show heckle him build him up break him down so my thing is though that like you don't think he's funny but like what is he because the idea of like i want
Starting point is 00:30:21 to go on a stage and perform stand-up is something that is such a fucking specific thing that you have to be a little bit masochist like but also like a narcissist like it's like you you know you're gonna bomb probably like and it's gonna be so well your first few times you will but wanting to go out there and to do that like that takes such a specific personality so like if he's not funny in that way where he's like well no i know at the end of the day i'm really funny or everyone tells me i'm really funny so you have this encouragement that like makes you get up there and do that even though you know you're gonna bomb like what is he like what is is it tenacity is it stubbornness is it like dilute like what is it or does he like love comedian
Starting point is 00:30:58 like watching stand-up specials or does he just want to go for a one-time thing to say that he did it to try something new i tried pottery because i saw it and i thought you know like it would be fun and guess what it was fun but i wasn't good at it but i still enjoyed it and i'll do it again i need everyone to watch the video version of the way the face i'm making it was so the thing i'll say is that you know apologize to him i do think you probably did him a little bit of a favor i would be mad though if he got up on stage he was really funny i'd be like where the fuck was that guy's whole fucking relationship because some people just aren't like that in their whole life they get up there and if they crafted the joke yeah he's like a storyteller he's a very
Starting point is 00:31:45 good writer like if he like was yeah that could make sense or like you realize what didn't work you come home you work on it again and then you go back up there you're either joel or you're midge maybe he's a midge yeah like melissa's simping for a man so my thing that i will say though is if you're if you don't think he's funny to like what is his sense of humor which leads me into all i can urge as somebody who had to attend after much protesting eventually i had to relent and attend a stand-up show of someone i know and i have never spoken to this person since like it was not only were they worse than I thought they would be like I was like you're this person has no business doing stand-up like they're not going to be good and alas they were not good and not
Starting point is 00:32:42 only were they not good they were offensively bad and they were also just straight up offensive and I made us leave before it ended because I didn't want anyone to know that we knew this person I didn't want it for any of it and this person also invited a bunch of like 19 year old college kids and i turned around and i said get out they were like oh okay i was like yeah yeah you got that let's get out of here so you know i think support but don't wear a shirt that says this my husband's performing stand up and he gets up there and does something that you don't want to be associated with unless on the back it says but it's gonna be real bad or if he says like really fucked up like that's what i mean like you like know his sense of humor yeah and like what he enjoys before
Starting point is 00:33:30 you if you decide to support him or if it's me i can't hide it in my face and so i would be like invite me when you feel ready for me to come yeah it's like improv people have improv shows all the time but they don't want you to come because they're not good no but also like somebody can also be very funny in their everyday life and then get up and do stand-up and it'd be horrible too because there is an art to what you're doing maybe he's been secretly taking stand-up classes steve martin and judd apatow have master classes on master class maybe he's been taking those hopefully from one of them that apatow was really good well he's also a fantastic writer but i've talked about this before i appreciate judd apatow's work but i'm not a fan of him
Starting point is 00:34:21 no because if the longer he keeps talking just him it's that's when he gets a little offensive and dicey he his mom worked at a comedy club and so he spent his life just like she was he was uh she was a single mom so he just sent spent his life at the comedy club as a kid and so he came up in it and he knows how to make a joke and so that's he got his start because he would give comedians notes in the audience yeah that's cool that feels like that's a tv show in itself i don't know why he hasn't written that maybe he has and nobody was interested i like that yeah so um yeah like don't burst his bubble it's just a hobby it's not like he's doing this for money it'd be one thing if he quit his job and was like i'm gonna be a stand-up comedian
Starting point is 00:35:11 it's just a hobby i do think doing stand-up for fun leading to i'm gonna quit my job and do my stand-up full-time i do think i i do think it's a slippery slope i think it's a gateway drug but i would ask and this is a follow-up i'm asking for you to like write back in and tell us ask him like what comedian like what style comedy does he think he wanted to do like what comedians and then like report back and like let us know because if it's um burt kreisinger or whatever i'm like so did your husband go to asu or boulder other did he go to a party school does he have these like stories like it is burt is known as the machine yeah this man ran a marathon on a whim and finished it that that is someone who has a life and stories that he's told that no one else can do yeah and
Starting point is 00:36:00 You're not going to go to his high school reunion and someone's going to say, do you hear Burt Krasinger as a comedian now? And no one's going to go, no way. Or does he want to be like a John Mulaney, which is like much more scripted, kind of like old school, not like variety show, but like very scripted, kind of more song and dance performance, even though he's not singing or dancing.
Starting point is 00:36:20 But you know what I mean? Like it's something that is more orchestrated in that sense and doesn't feel like a buddy just getting a beer with and telling you all about whatever. so i would love to know what that is because his skill sets might be that but also he might totally crash and burn and then never want to do it again right which is honestly probably more likely but i do applaud him for the fact like he wants to try something new and it's this is that and without having been told his whole life he's so funny and he should do stand
Starting point is 00:36:46 up because as someone who's been told not to toot my own horn all the i've had people ask but all the time if i do stand up if i'd ever consider i'm like hell no so hey i'm like i don't even think i'm funny funny but i've had several people ask me to do it but or if i did it and there even when i was like starting i first moved here and um they're like well a lot of people get discovered by writing i was like if that's what y'all think y'all are doing over there yeah have fun will never be me not me like you could i literally had to do it in my movie and i was like i'm gonna fucking kill you i can't do that i hate i was so i was miserable doing that so i do applaud him for being like i'm gonna do this whereas like as two people who've been told we should do this
Starting point is 00:37:29 all the time i would i could never like to have the to have the cojones for that i would love no like when i started steve martin's master class i thought it was just strictly writing but then it was like comedy and i was like and this was before they let you have memberships i like kindly wrote to them can i have a refund for this one because this is not what i was signing girls not about to be fucking stand up no give me my money back and if he also doesn't like any female comedians or women comedians that's also a red flag to me you just want to be like a cool man then you just want to you just want to be cool because you should also know that if you crush this too hard though his new thing is going to be he wants to start a podcast what's worse
Starting point is 00:38:11 yep all right yeah because one's worse because one's behind a microphone with no immediate feedback the way if like moths told me i'm gonna go perform stand-up i wouldn't be able to go the first time i would go i couldn't go i think even if you were doing stand-up i would be like first of all what's wrong second of all huh and i'm not sure what's going i i i don't even think i could see i would be like first of all i think you'd be punking me and i'd show up and you get jokes on you but like see told you it was a comedy show no that's exactly what you would do but like it's just no matter how much I love someone to me you will never see someone more vulnerable than someone who doesn't do stand-up getting up on stage doing stand-up for the first time and like I wish I
Starting point is 00:38:58 could be someone who's like supportive through all of that I will be supportive before and after I don't know that I can be there during it I don't know if it was just something because people have been sitting in their house for so long but after the pandemic I had so many friends that were doing stand-up for the first time so many friends just willy-nilly inviting people to their shows some of them actually famous people that I was just like you have a career what are you doing it's kind of like I don't know where the writer is located but like in LA it's definitely a rite of passage because there's a lot of friends when you first move here that are doing stand-up and I can tell you with 100% honesty and accuracy that none of them are still in LA
Starting point is 00:39:52 yeah I don't know where this person is but every other story I've heard tangentially it's all adding up but on the bright side if I had never gone I would have never seen esther parofsky who was hilarious and that was before she she didn't book the role that i was up for but she was before she was on like doll face and all that stuff and i love her and i think she's so funny and i want to say she went after the person and she made a joke about them and i was like thank god and i was like i can't have this girl though that i know this so well we probably spent too much time on that but okay let us know if your husband does stand up or if any comedians listen write in with advice all right we're gonna take a break

You're richer than you think. and we're back at a time for but are they wrong this is where uh we will nominate a person place or thing something in the current events pop culture zeitgeist that uh deserves the opposite
Starting point is 00:42:14 of flowers they deserve tomatoes we would like to shed a light on it previous ones have included melissa introducing all of us to george santos years before rest of america knew um and uh also we shitting on the cut article lady um and which one there's a lot and yeah it's it's always a good time so uh we have a bunch because we took a couple weeks off and we have lots of things to share first i want to start out with a light one uh someone a thief in sacramento covered themselves in a trash bag and then like edna mode they crouched down and did a little tippy tippy tippy toe to the front door someone's house and stole their packages and put it underneath the trash bag and then tippy tippy tippy it hoed away one baby genius because then it all that's on the
Starting point is 00:43:06 ring camera is just this trash bag moving across the yard but like to stop porch pirates please stop number two is um this is more serious a 32 year old woman named shelby hewitt who was a social worker posed as a high school student in several schools in boston and she lied about being kidnapped and so that's why she didn't have her paperwork she's been charged with criminal forgery identity fraud and after she pled guilty not guilty in december she is set to stand trial at the end of the year what was the point of that no one can figure it out that's what makes it even that's even spookier because i feel like there's something there's got to be a reason yeah next one i'm sure it's on your list too because you've also talked about them in a
Starting point is 00:43:58 previous episode euphoria yeah that's online they uh did some malicious compliance when you originally talked about how their color shade range did not go any darker than you after making a tiktok about how they said that money was no object the budget there was no budget it was unlimited money was no object they were gonna make the best foundation ever and then only made it to to medium white and so they made a foundation which has been compared to just black face makeup because it's just black there's no pigments other pigments in besides just black when most everyone has at least five different pigmentations in their skin so it's not going to even the darkest person that exists it's not going to be their color
Starting point is 00:44:56 seeing white people or then people with like black meme ab at like emoji avatars where you're like that you're i know you're a white person being like no i actually know someone who is this who is this shade is quite literally hilarious either have you ever seen like someone from someone from someone who's like south sudanese and i'm like the person whose video you're commenting on is like and i'm like it's it's so funny how it's always i know someone not i i am that person so um yeah and it's like not a mixing medium people like mix with other shades and it's gray because you shouldn't have to mix no exact but it's not like it's not sold as a mixing medium that they like forgot to mention that like oh it's actually this and like no no it's sold as
Starting point is 00:45:43 this and they literally had to go to dubai to find two men who again it doesn't even fit their skin tone no and it's like okay yeah this is like this is like the color it literally is like here you go like shut the fuck up now like ha ha ha jokes on you i just gave you blackface in a bottle like tar it's literally like black face paint in a bottle and like i i'm just like so i'm also just like i need people to fucking stop defending like or just like justifying or trying to be well maybe well maybe this and i go why is your instinct to be like well maybe we should give them the benefit it out well maybe i'm like why why would you rather be like i see all these people are hurt and offended by this thing that is really hurtful and offensive but maybe they didn't mean to so
Starting point is 00:46:26 maybe it's actually just a you problem why are all their comments off on all their videos let's talk about that you want to go now so youth for it was also on mine also aaron rogers who said aids was created by the u.s government in the 1980s this one has really flown under the radar and i missed that one i know i think i i did mute him his name so that might be why i missed it but i haven't seen anything on tiktok about it yeah i feel like there's a certain like way that we kind of like let athletes be ignorant bigots and we just go haha whatever and like that plays into the culture i have an issue in general with specifically football for people uh who are betting money on these men getting tbi after tbi and being like just fight harder like it's just
Starting point is 00:47:13 it's not it's just i don't like the public perception of how we treat football players as like uh just pawns and like not actual humans and so then when they do things like this we're like well i have brain injuries and i go oh okay those things might be totally unrelated but to be like i don't give a shit about what he says like just get on the just play some fucking football like is so the wrong way to go about it um but yeah so he's obviously a full-blown conspiracy theorist conspiracy conspiracy theorist anti-vaxxer and um said that Jimmy Kimmel was friends with Jeffrey Epstein which was fucking crazy which again is also not true and the the reasoning why he has said this is because uh it's supposed to solidify his point that it's about COVID and
Starting point is 00:48:00 and dr fauci is corrupt and all of that stuff so he did this on um a podcast and saying the blueprint the game plan was made in the 80s create a pandemic where the virus is going wild only fauci was given 350 million dollars to research this to come up with drugs new or repurposed to handle the aids pandemic after all and all they came up with was azt do you even a smidge of research i'm not an epidemic epidemiologist i'm not a doctor i'm not an immunologist whatever the fuck i can read though i can learn i can look things up just like any normal person i can do my own research, which is so vilified, it's even questioned authority, but that was the game plan back then. Create an environment where only one thing works. Back then AZT, now Remenziver,
Starting point is 00:48:37 I can't pronounce things, until we get a vaccine. We know Fauci has taken the Moderna vaccine and we know Pfizer is one of the most criminally corrupt ever. They fined and they paid the biggest in history of the DOJ in 2009. What are we talking about? We're going to put our full trust in science that can't be questioned? The whole thing that makes science science is that is always being questioned so someone like you who says obviously you can't do those things that you said that you do read learn you don't do any of that yeah and so the only place i've really seen this written up is on out sports and they had said uh for a long time we wrote about rogers after he denied rumors he was gay and later when he was critical of fans yelling
Starting point is 00:49:15 homophobic chants and celebrated the coming out of gay former teammate that was the rogers who was easy to cheer for not the guy who's fallen for wacky conspiracy theories that come across is so unhinged you wonder how it came to this so just another instance of like oh that now this is the only place i'm really seeing report this but yeah i can't stand that man and what's his name was like i'm gonna have him as my vp the other one who the conspiracy theorist candidate for who everyone loves so that was one of mine another one of mine is boeing has killed a second whistleblower and allegedly allegedly holy fuck i need a you know what we need we i i need an immediate press conference like i need like i'm hearing so much yip yip yip yip yapping from the
Starting point is 00:49:59 white house i'm not hearing a goddamn fucking word about the fact that yo boeing to come you bailed out during the panda okay remember the banks you bailed them all they killed two and we're just moving on saying college kids are getting really scary like there are there are things in the sky they're coming down out of the sky when they're not supposed to be coming down in the sky and someone told us that and now those people are dead hello and flights are still expensive hello i feel like it was an opportune moment for boeing i feel like they knew that yep one of my lists is jerry seinfeld he is on a press tour for a pop-tart movie called unfrosted for the study the story of pop-tarts and in several interviews he's talking about how he
Starting point is 00:50:42 how the woke left is destroying comedy according to someone who saw the first draft of the script it was uh terribly racist a pop tarts movie uh-huh wait and is this like a is this like a mr rogers like the story it's not like it's not like the um trolls movie it's not like an animated no no okay this is got him and also amy schumer's in in it so i'm sure they got along fabulously uh-huh um but i also think this is the movie that melissa mccarthy is also in as well which you know what i have double standards she just is there for a check yep but if you also you want to talk about the woke left why don't we start with you being well into your 30s picking up your 17 year old girlfriend from high school let's start talk there doesn't sound pretty uh awake sleeping at
Starting point is 00:51:34 the wheel sleeping at the judgment wheel right there my guy yeah i thought she was even younger that's when they were public that's when he was actually picking her up gross and they're still married no oh it's not his wife his wife is also young but not that young or not they were older when she started dating yeah oh my god you're right gross she was in high school disgusting like he was literally picking her up from school there's no exaggeration there he would drive to her school and pick her up from high school i hope her family is mortified or if she would prefer i hope they're dead not here to you know i would also like to talk about the theater adults coming after a theater child if you've seen oh so there was a audio that was blowing up about so from
Starting point is 00:52:31 Legally Blonde the musical which is one of my fucking favorites yes I did see this and being like it's like sales associate being like Courtney take your break like try this latest from Milan go ahead and try it on I take best of my career clientele it's a gift from me to and it's like you
Starting point is 00:52:47 it's a spot that like that's like the role like you and then you're also in the ensemble in the chorus and so it's a big like you do a big run you do a you hit a high note and like people really take it as a big flare it's a great part of the song a great part of the show it's like a beloved you know one-liner for this character and a elementary school i think she was i think they
Starting point is 00:53:08 said that ages were between the ages of like 9 and 11 7 and 11 or 9 11 like young fucking kids like kids this young girl they have the video they posted on tiktok of her doing it and she was a child and nervous and like i remember being in fifth grade having like one of the lead roles in our school play and I had like four solo songs and like all these monologues and stuff. And I remember like I was like starting to sing one of my songs and I just panicked and I forgot everything and I'm like 10 and I just like ran off stage crying and it was a dress rehearsal. It wasn't even a real performance. And I got my shit together. I was mortified. I knew that I didn't do a good job and like I worked on it so hard. That's how I learned if I get too stressed,
Starting point is 00:53:53 I sleepwalk um and then I like was so proud of what I did afterwards but good god if someone had filmed that uploaded online and then everyone famous at that time it would have been like Laura Bell Bundy, Idina Menzel, Kristen Chenoweth, who else was uh uh Annalise Annala but but all of these people who I like loved on Broadway if I then go and see that they're all making fun of me i wouldn't have gone back on the stage the next fucking day so ben platt made a video a bunch of like actors in hall like la hollywood were making videos using this sound i saw people i saw like famous people doing using this sound with brand deals that they were doing on tiktok and i was like a brand is like cool yeah make fun of a child and even people are trying to spin it of being
Starting point is 00:54:42 like no i wasn't doing this way making fun of her like i'm just like obsessed like i love that and I'm like, you, when you make content, regardless of like what you think that your intention behind it, first of all, I don't believe you. But second of all, you know, the comments are just making fun and then they're going and they're directed to that original video because through this goddamn fucking audio. And it was just like, so ruthlessly mean. And I think that like, I could totally understand how someone thought it was funny at first, but like, not when you see what the origin of it is, when you see that it's actually a kid and it's not someone like, it's not adults making fun of like how funny it would be if you delivered this line like unenthusiastically like if you see
Starting point is 00:55:20 that it's a kid i would go oh i'm actually not gonna use this audio because it looks like i'm making fun of her and um i just thought it was fucked up and i know so and i do think that uh the championing behind this child is the most important part where people are like you know what i actually think she did better than everybody else because this is a middle manager in retail i don't want her to spend any like i think it's hilarious if she hates her job but she acts like she hates her job like wonderful but like don't make fun of this fucking kid and crush their dreams especially when you're all grown-up theater kids fuck those people yeah um next on my list is da sandra dorley of new york for having me defend a cop she was speeding and talking on her phone
Starting point is 00:56:04 and refused to pull over she was so entitled and said that she didn't need to pull over because of her position as da i implore anyone to go watch the video because you would truly want to smack this woman she then goes on to apologize by saying that she is taking ethics training instead of resigning no like this woman is in the video saying things like um go like he literally followed her to her house because she didn't stop he gets out and is like asking her for information she won't do anything and then she's like i'm the da go ahead when he's like has called backup she goes i'm the da go ahead and write me a ticket i'll just process it myself her defense of being like i was on my phone he goes well that's illegal and she goes i was on speakerphone that woman is not
Starting point is 00:57:01 of clear mind in that video no no no no and she looks like a robot in like i would believe that was ai of her in her quote-unquote apology video yeah it's she was on something else in that one we're going up and we're going down we're going up and then around and we're going sideways we're going backwards and i'm like someone let's let's let's get a handle on the dosing of this because it's not it's not good and it's not leveled no and it's not what i want my da to have no oh so i have to say though obviously we know that cops treat people with authority differently the way that he was essentially being like oh my god like stop being so mean to like why i'm just i'm just doing my job yeah he kept saying i'm just doing my job like he and i was like he would
Starting point is 00:57:48 have never done that if she was not like it he was not like he was like so like what okay but like i thought i'm supposed to like to do and it was just like that part of it was like so fucking funny to me because i'm like oh my god we know that there's a double standard here and like she's even fucking up the double standard like girl like dial it back and like the law yeah you can bend it for you but like this man is basically like why are you trying to hurt my feelings like we could have just can you just like stop like it's just so fucking insane what about i don't write this woman down but what about that woman who shot her dog and is defending it oh i have her she's next okay i thought you had yeah so next i have a congressman christy noam for admitting
Starting point is 00:58:35 to shooting and killing her 14 year old puppy for misbehaving in a book so that meant that 14 months oh you said 14 year old puppy i thought that i might be wrong sorry 14 month puppy um admitting that she did it like in a book so that means that she wrote it it went through a publisher and went through the editor and then got published and they all thought let's keep doing this so they either hate her or they hate dogs what's her name christy with a k uh gnome n-o-e-m this man doesn't even deserve his name so i'm not gonna say it but this man this youtuber um he purposefully like went in to he started his bank account at zero to prove how easy it was to make a hundred thousand dollars like in a year and he got like three months into it homeless jobless
Starting point is 00:59:37 and quit because his health was deteriorating and he couldn't make the connection between those two things that oh when you don't have money or access to anything i actually need to stop pretending to be poor and cosplaying as poor and i actually need to get my health intact because suddenly now that i have no money my health is struggling with it and he just like didn't put two and two together and i thought that was hilarious because it's giving like super size me over again where i'm like i don't think you're you're so close to the point didn't he also not actually sleep on the street any night i think that that was rumored i didn't want the video was long i didn't watch it i just watched that's what it said is that he actually like slept on
Starting point is 01:00:21 people's couches and stuff so he wasn't even actually on the streets well that's a man because when a man goes i have nowhere to sleep let me hop on a dating app and find a nice bed to get into i would just love for people to do more ridiculous things though and document it and then hopefully they'll get closer and closer to the point and then the only other thing i have is eric adams well i'll do eric adams eric adams uh who boy oh boy did it's as if he has the memory of um a goldfish and the media training he has the fact that he has been a politician for as amount of time as man has learned not a goddamn fucking thing it's actually concerning and i feel for anyone who works for him how uh maddening and wanting to rip your hair out it must be when he
Starting point is 01:01:13 was asked on was it the view about describe new york in one word he first said new york and then he said new york it's a city where one day planes could be crashing into the twin towers i'm i'm paraphrasing and the next day you could be opening your own business first of all what that's a crazy thing to say because 9-11 happened once like you could just be walking down the street in new york and suddenly there's a terror like my guy it was as if he thought there was like the opening lines to like alicia keys in new york like the terrorist attack in a building or you could open a bodega like it is just what um and then he also was quoted saying that it is like what a grave injustice it is for anyone in america to be flying any other flag besides an american
Starting point is 01:02:03 flag like that's a disgrace wow decked out and what i can only describe as uh israel paraphernalia like a hat a sweatshirt a jacket holding a flag like to the point where like it like he like a mascot like he's about to like get you excited for a sporting event or he's like it was comical and like said within a week of each other i can't stand that man i can't stand him either if you ever want to see a beautiful takedown of him only yemi alluring i've had her on a couple podcasts she is so cool like i think we would be friends with her she's a public defender but also likes to have her titties out all the time and so um she has uh before she was famous we had her on just between us and she was like she's always like talking shit about people not shit but like
Starting point is 01:02:58 talking in a good way ethical shit talking if you will and now she's like blown up and is like a contributor for magazines has her own podcast as a talking head on certain things but she did a whole takedown talking directly to him like i didn't she was talking so much shit and then when they cut and he was sitting there i was like what the fuck i had this same reaction i went damn how did they get these and then as soon as he opened his mouth and i went oh my god you're in the same room this isn't an edit yes holy shit but she's great i highly recommend watching that yeah i want to get his quote right though so so he said new york you can experience everything from a plane crashing into a train center to a person who's celebrating a new business it's the greatest city on the globe
Starting point is 01:03:42 he hates that city and then he said the analogy of the complexity of what could happen in this city from planes landing on our hudson river to all the other things that was my comment those who take my comments in good faith are going to try and turn them around people know what i was saying the city is complex no one talked about planes landing in the hudson you talked about planes crashing into skyscrapers you didn't mention sully you like this is not like what you could have mentioned orphan annie could have mentioned new york real housewives of new york there are so many new york references you're gonna pick the the the one time one of them happened that's great i can't stand that man either oh my god he's the greatest city because
Starting point is 01:04:28 any day could be like that any day no i've also got ida and lorenzo who in a video on tiktok she's now being described as um utah karen she pulls down a teenager's mini skirt in the lobby of a St. George restaurant. While she threatened to call authorities on the teenager, she is now the one facing criminal charges. She represented a teenager telling her that if she was to watch a teen's ass cheeks hanging out again, she'll call Child Protective Services. She later complained to police that the video of the confrontation posted across various social media platforms labeled her karen she's 48 charged with sexual battery documents were filed on wednesday with the fifth district circuit court and she's also facing a single count of a class a misdemeanor
Starting point is 01:05:26 she also works in a government office for the state of utah as well pulling a girl's skirt down disgusting and then we've got libby adam 53 year old and alicia galaz 25 both of riverside so hometown pride for you don't call it my hometown i'm not anyone who's from the iu though this is not born and raised here they are on trial in the death of carissa rajpaul who died short shortly after this mother-daughter duo injected her with silicone for a butt lift at their home in Sherman Oaks so their victim started to lose consciousness after the procedure and then when the police came Libby and Alicia fled the scene leaving the paramedics unaware that the victim had undergone a risky cosmetic surgery and the victim died in the emergency room while tending
Starting point is 01:06:31 while being tended to by physicians who were unaware that they had that the patient had silicone injections in them so fuck them i would just like to give a shout out to the um not a shout out as in kudos as in a public shaming to the couple who had sex under a blanket just in new york and the first of all i know that smelled i know you couldn't breathe i knew that was musty and thus the only reason you could have been doing it was enjoying the fact that it was illicit and to that i say you're a fucking pervert and you shouldn't be allowed near schools or parks no they should be on a list you should be on a list and then finally anyone that is bringing harm to college students because of their beliefs in the atrocious attacks on palestine
Starting point is 01:07:19 I'm talking to you, USC, for canceling a whole graduation because your valedictorian has thoughts on Palestine, stands with Palestine. I'm talking to you, Columbia University and dozens of universities across the U.S. that are sending police officers to harm both students, anybody that joins them in protesting, and faculty and staff that are trying to protect them as well. Y'all are trash. you're absolute trash so fuck you all yeah it's horrific and i want to like commend and applaud like the bravery of like college journalists like i mean college activists college journalism call
Starting point is 01:08:04 like on who are doing like the radio shows and all of that this is like the to commit violence uh against people who are standing against violence and against genocide is radicalizing in a way that we have not seen in a very long time. And we've never seen it to this level with social media and you get rid of TikTok. None of that's going to change. Like there's a specific set of people who were activists in the 70s are still like bleeding liberals and leftists to this day. And you're creating another whole other generation of that. Like you cannot be resistance out of people that doesn't work you can't it doesn't go anywhere and it and it grows and it builds and those people are not only voters but those people have then have something to prove
Starting point is 01:08:56 and they have something to continue on with and the double standard of the reporting is drive it's just like so fucking insane to me of people claiming things that have zero video evidence or proof or whatever which i'm like yeah there's not always proof of those things all of that but then when there is of it doing x y and z it's like well no those they lie like that didn't happen those that that's fucking lying but it's just it's awful and i also want to yeah like i know people who are feeling less safe because of all of this like where they are and like whether like schools or locations or anything like that because once you associate when you make broad statements and associations with any like religious group race or whatever to like one side or the other like
Starting point is 01:09:46 you become profiling of people x y and z and then those people regardless of what their belief or their stance is they become targets of people who just the the attraction of the disgust and hate and then to have specifically latd just sit and watch for like hours while fireworks were put into the crowd and then to also see like people i know like posting on social media like celebrating that i'm like that's fucking crazy like it's just it's so maddening and disheartening and i don't think it's fair the the disproportionate like i'm happy to talk about and fight against discrimination or hatred, but based on any group, but I think we're not hearing anything about rampant Islamophobia that's happening and going on. And people can say whatever, and that that's
Starting point is 01:10:42 not Islamophobic. And what it boils down to is because they're like, lots of people are Muslim. So therefore, and I'm like, what the fuck? Like, just the shit that I'm seeing people post, you're going to be really, really embarrassed if to this point, 20 years from now you look back on this and you've just encouraged people to harm and hurt college students who are saying please stop harming and hurting people and using our tuition money to like with weapons manufacturers it's crazy like it shouldn't even be a fucking thing if angela davis shows up to a protest and you're on the opposite side of one of your belongings the greatest civil rights icons living icons and you're on the opposite side you cannot say
Starting point is 01:11:31 well if i was living back then then i would have stood with dr king you're a liar because angela davis is right there on the opposite side yeah you would have opposed stonewall you would have opposed rosa parks you would have opposed mlk like this whole like like polite washing of all of this shit is like fucking crazy to do and bold as fuck to do when like a people are alive who were peers back then there are family members who are a lot like we have all of this evidence and like this is why we're not often taught uh the true candid nature in history class because they they don't want anyone to revolutionize they don't want that to happen so it wants to be like oh one day we all just sat down and decided that like racism was bad and then
Starting point is 01:12:16 the end we waved a magic wand and like there was no uprising there was no nothing like what do people think when it's like the first brick at stonewall what do you think that means and like destruction of property is not violence like it factually by the law is not considered violence what was the quote that joe biden said which i was like that's actually crazy and we'll go down the history books and it's going to sound like a dictator said it like dissent or something dissent must not lead to disorder tell me thanos didn't say that like that's fucking crazy if you think that protests are supposed to be not get in people's way not make things difficult and make it protests are meant to be a headache they're not just meant to bring attention they're
Starting point is 01:13:02 meant to be a nuisance so change is done supposed to disrupt and they're supposed to be impossible to ignore you're not supposed to be able to just move on with your life and live on with your life and embarrassingly this i was this week year old when i learned about the kent state massacre i saw someone reference it on twitter and i didn't know what that was and i clicked on it and i'm seeing oh this is when police went to a school during a protest and they shot and killed students and we don't talk about it too much in terms of public we don't talk about it too much in terms of like oh let's not make history repeat itself it was just it was such an eye-opening thing for me to read and as someone who like grew up going to protests like i have grown up in like
Starting point is 01:13:49 the make make a stink make some fucking noise it's always like highly encouraged and like just how i grew up and i didn't even know about that and it's a very embarrassing dark day for these like institutions and obviously i applaud everyone who's going on but like there are so many like fucking rich ass columbia kids whose parents make a fuck ton of money and those those kids know that they've got power and they know that by doing the usc kids yeah and i think that like there's like the other people are trying to like skew that and being like you don't see people at poor college you do people at poor colleges are doing this people are doing that like they're doing it everywhere but the numbers and the droves of which they're coming out from people who have the
Starting point is 01:14:37 voice and the ability and the privilege to do this put this at risk knowing that they have financial support they've got family they've got those those things they've got a support system I think that's great and I'm if I was a parent I would be like so proud of my kids for that so yeah shout out to the country of columbia did you see what they did yes i was like damn that was cutting to they're like so we're actually gonna cut ties because this is i was waiting for them to be like we're actually gonna rename the name of our country we're gonna actually sue columbia university we think you should change your name that's just you're really crushing the vibe but yeah this is i just wish people would like read up on like what is and isn't
