Go back to last week, listen to But Am I Wrong? Come back, join us.
Starting point is 00:01:35 You'll be lost. So this is when we read the results of the polls that were posted on Instagram. hey and this was for episode 77 and i would like to apologize everyone that it took me so long to upload these um i need to get my life together i need there to be something that like i want to put my body and my brain through a washing machine like i need a factory reset like i i really do and i don't know how to get one is that a vacation is that what a factory reset but you just had a vacation no but like like a like a i i meant like a um like a brain like you put me like i you put me in like a voluntary coma for like three weeks so i catch up on all of my sleep so my brain works better no because then when you wake up you'll be disoriented
Starting point is 00:02:27 i guess it's just my life uh-huh you could come out a whole different person hey maybe that'd be fun you could speak a new language would love that all right so first up is me i take it back riverboats are better than cruise ships aka the montgomery battle two percent said that i was wrong 98 said that i was not wrong can we do a little bit of a test right now i would like you to google montgomery brawl and i want you to tell me the first image that shows up for you and i would like to know if this is a me thing an us thing or an everybody thing the first thing that shows up for me it's a screenshot of a video though it's from cnn of when the little white boy that works there tried to get in the fight but he quickly ran away okay so mine was uh the photo
Starting point is 00:03:24 of cheryl lee ralph mine is one two three four five six seven eight nine it's 11 down okay so i looked yesterday to start like and i was just like immediately the first thing when i type in mongari bra and i go what are you doing here girl like i literally was like does my google know or did this like just get really like this image just get released like what is this pushing forward so yeah i was just curious no mine's looking gorgeous though like she is she looks like madam president yeah it's very presidential there's flags in the background what was this for that's what i'm saying it's for something about that it was like she made a song i think no it wasn't her it was uh i mean she sang the
Starting point is 00:04:11 lift every chair and swing to the negro national anthem but she wasn't the one that made it up She was repeating somebody else. Because when you scroll down, it's the actual video. If you click on the article, the actual video is there, and she's not looking presidential. So they specifically chose this image. No, I know. I'm like.
Starting point is 00:04:29 I feel like she was actually at something presidential. That's the image they chose. That's the White House. Like, it has to be the White House. There's no reason. Easter, maybe? Maybe. Now I got to Google.
Starting point is 00:04:43 I got to reverse image search this. i need google to make the little thing where you can drag images over bigger yeah i need google to do a lot of things and i need google to reverse a lot of things that they started doing yes because it's not it's not picking it up it's not picking it up when i'm moving it over it's just making it bigger come on there we go she was at national park service deputy super and what are those are just words those are legitimately seen at the celebration of freedom ceremony during the welcome welcome america on july 4 of 2023 welcome america to what well i don't know but since it's wawa it's a pennsylvania thing is it wawa like
Starting point is 00:05:39 the restaurant it's a uh convenience store oh okay for some reason i thought wawa was like uh you know those like what's that fucking burger one that everyone always compared like like is it this this this or this what a burger oh that's what i was thinking what a burger is a southern thing okay well now we know now we know she the i don't know if you can see the full image too if you scroll down and giddy images but oh yeah incredible i mean red white and blue yeah i salute you i'm obsessed you're up next my hot take was new content creators are out of control and nobody is copying you and this is reference to tb boop zero percent said i was wrong 100 said
Starting point is 00:06:33 of people said i was not wrong um this photo to me is just like encapsulates how i say there's a lot going on in this image when i tell you if you saw her decor style i was like no i've seen it yeah it's maximum to the max yeah it's your worst nightmare yeah someone said like i've had approximately 2.35 million ads for a warped checkerboard rug on instagram alone did they copy her or she just purchased something that or did she just purchase something that wasn't one of a kind um that's i think the thing that i find like really crazy about this is um she also does like branded partnerships where she like tags who she's using and then when people use that it's like they're copying like right that's literally your
Starting point is 00:07:35 job like come on are you not even doing commission links like girly pop people miss people get this get it together that's like mcdonald's being like you can't make a hamburger at home because you're copying me when the fine brothers tried to copyright react reaction videos when people react we want money and it's like you mean the when people emote you want money they lost that by the way i'm familiar no no for the audience in case they didn't know and then we've got writer number one verse versus disinvited friend from a concert five percent said the writer's wrong 95 said the writer's not wrong and somebody said i don't think the writer's wrong but in defense of the friend they had asked the writer multiple times for the
Starting point is 00:08:34 dates in the concert so they could plan for it but at the same time the writer told them a month in advance so that should have been enough warning beep boop beep oh god i can't do that anymore without thinking of tay beep boop also i just want to say thank you to everyone who said that every time i said her name they could not stop laughing and if you watch the promotional video between me and melissa neither of us could stop laughing either every time we said her name because i think we probably only said it right once it was just various like i never said it right and i didn't try to no that's you i always said bippity boppity boo oh yeah i was like what i had like i literally had to google to be like
Starting point is 00:09:21 okay just confirmation as i'm writing this like am i am i spelling it right okay then we write a number two versus friend who disappeared on her birthday i'm sorry this is the image i use that's one that's a classic meme no it's like to me it's the first meme i remember like this is my day one just peace disappears um and i thought about it the whole fucking time we were doing this original episode so five percent of the writer is wrong 95 said the writer is not wrong i don't think i saw any messages about this one i don't think i did either just looking back through no okay then we've got wrong of the week
Starting point is 00:10:10 el muso who's wrong 98 said flop is wrong two percent said flop is not wrong someone just sent a response literally two minutes ago that says oh did you already see it they said from orange county and lived there when flip or flop was big we all knew way too much about his shitty behavior then zero percent surprised he continues to be a giant piece of shit now question and you might not be able to answer this was that fucking based out of orange county in my mind it was in like they were doing similar to the uh chip in joe magnolia and they were you know they did that with texas it's called waco so i'm a little bit surprised if they were based out of oc doing flips because part of like the nature of people being able to make a ton of money back with flips
Starting point is 00:11:07 is in areas that are cheaper to buy so you can demolish and then renovate it really cheaply and make the most amount of money i know nothing about this man until i saw the complaints i don't watch flip or flop or any hgtv thing since my grandmother passed away 12 years ago so that was the end of my watching hgtv and you know i'm telling you right now i haven't watched it in years years but you know what i do do i always enter into the giveaway when they're giving away you and fucking matz's mom i had no idea what the fuck it was i was like what is this and they did one in i think the last one was in denver and i looked up how close it was to y'all's house there i think i asked you where it was for the address that's why i brought it up at like at dinner i
Starting point is 00:12:06 was like what is this hgtv house winning thing and his mom was like oh and it goes into it and i was like of course you and melissa are the only two people i've literally ever heard 15 minutes away from the house i was like this would be perfect in the winters we just go totally i will say though it was fucking ugly so it's free i can rent it out you also get a car you get a car you get cash you get all the furniture that's in there it feels like a really big like i don't the lottery feels like a scam to me until i learned about taxes this feels like a really big scam it's a text right off for them and then advertisement too but then everyone knows where you live yeah but i'm not actually gonna live there all year also some of them there was one that was in
Starting point is 00:12:50 like like a beachy town like there was one that was like gorgeous and i was like oh i'd live here because a lot of the other ones i was like i'm good like this is not the vibe yeah it's i rented out all the year and then when we in the winter time when you go there then i would go too that was the plan honestly be perfect i know well i love that do you like the cold i hate the cold so does our nephew so you and him can complain together he literally like never wants to go outside and he's just like angry anytime it's cold so yeah that's yeah the house was it was ugly but it was cozy yeah no totally that's what you need for a winter home if there was like beds outside too that had fire pits next to them it was great it was it was every year i got into
Starting point is 00:13:34 was it literally after you sent i can't believe that this is like i'm remembering now exactly how this went down you sent that and then him and his mom we we sat there me and her during after dinner for like three hours and we pulled out my laptop we went through every single home that they've had and then ranked which one we would want to live in and the thing they used to do like full tour like now they just do videos but they used to do the thing where that like they do when you're buying houses where you could do the walkthrough, but then you could click on the different things
Starting point is 00:14:02 and see what the different things in the house did. They don't do that anymore. I need y'all to bring that back, HGTV. Yeah. I love an interactive game. Me too. It was like an interactive game. Yeah, that's fun.
Starting point is 00:14:15 It's a diorama. Yep. Well, hey, you know, shout out to those homes. we'd love hgt dream home they also do they do one in the summer i forgot what that one's called but the one the big one is the dream home that comes up in the winter time chili smart home is the one in the summer oh okay oh not to be mistaken with smart house my wrong of the week i nominated luke jones and laura bielskine do you think that's how you'd say
Starting point is 00:14:53 it bileskin bileskin i'm just saying bileskin fits her and she's great uh bilescom i can't pronounce anything i apologize to everyone not to her though no no no not to her i apologize to other people if you have this last name or if i have pronounced your name wrong um every single day i do a crossword puzzle and i learned that i don't know how to spell or read a lot of words so 98 said that luke and laura are wrong two percent said luke and laura are not wrong and i'm pretty sure all those people responded and said they mixed up the names so just so everyone knows we do not have luke and laura defenders in here but you know who is a luke and laura defender laura over on her instagram so thank you to the person who sent this um so on her instagram
Starting point is 00:15:44 stories after the episode air she said what are we what we're witnessing now is one harassment being defended by other harassment which cancels it out which cancels it all out really and then this person added their own commentary as if sexual harassment and victim blaming are equivalent and then being held accountable for their own actions you getting called up for your actions does not cancel out the pain felt by your victims here's a screenshot i got from the below deck reddit so you're not making this shit up i really wish i was and her story that she posted is a picture of her and luke um and the picture is a screen grab from an episode so she has screenshot it and then she tags it and writes you are not alone luke hashtag stay true to yourself hashtag
Starting point is 00:16:23 be used hashtag don't get do not get influenced what we are witnessing now is one harassment being defended by other harassment which cancels it all out really people been influenced by what has been fed to them being part of reality tv show comes with its fair share of challenges and misunderstandings the show often portrays a condensed version of events which can be misconstrued and taken out of context it's essential to remember that what you see on television may not always reflect the entirety of a person's character or intentions it is crucial to separate the behavior portrayed on television from real person behind the scenes it is disheartening to be subjected to negative judgments and assumptions based on limited footage i've always
Starting point is 00:17:00 strived to be authentic and genuine throughout my time on below deck and will stick to my truth in real self it's unfortunate that certain events and interactions have been sensationalized and manipulated to fit a particular narrative i understand that reality tv offers entertainment value but is essential to remember that it is not always an accurate representation of reality itself i appreciate those who have shown support and understanding during this challenging time it is through your kindness and empathy i find the strength to persevere i remain committed to staying true to myself and rising about the negativity that may surround me to that i say a royal massive fuck you bitch we saw this man in they didn't make any cuts of him taking off his
Starting point is 00:17:34 clothes climbing into bed with somebody that was passed out and then moments later somebody coming to save her and um then asking did you know any of this happened and she literally says no i had no idea yeah so her whole thing is that like you know you can't call someone a victim like like a like a like a assaulter assailant a predator just based on one thing like i think he's a really nice guy and i wish he had snuck into my room which was like her whole fucking thing shields are the same thing to another crew member where she was the perpetrator and all of it so um i've been having conversations offline with people um and alerting them to certain things that i refer to as men's rights dog whistles and this is one of them where we are getting the
Starting point is 00:18:26 massive uh implication here that being accused of something and having the consequences of those actions affect you as they should be compared to it or said is equal to if not worse than the crime or the act that those people committed and how is how embarrassing is this that you say all this shit and you're still not even with it like and most of she's unemployed like i don't know when And she, because, like, you have to move fields of work. Yeah, she's going to become a men's rights activist like Pearl. That's going to be her next job. You know, I have some inclinings.
Starting point is 00:19:14 I'm putting some names in a hat who I think will also be there next. Oh, okay. Yeah. Anyways. We can talk about that offline. No, it's who I told you before. I don't remember. cool it was about five minutes before we started recording okay oh that person got it there you go
Starting point is 00:19:34 uh-huh yep i thought they were already there well the thing is is that i've been bringing it up to people and there's one subreddit which voice of reason have uh has kept me feeling um sane and heard throughout uh you know things that have happened in the last two years or so with media people's perception of things um and we're all on the same page uh but i'm waiting for the rest of the world to you know get in there and we're obviously you and me are on the same page but on the internet it's for a while it was hard pressed to find those people i'm just on different i'm not really on the youtubes anymore so i miss out on a lot of things yeah i mean i had to mute i like looked on people were looking how many people they blocked on
Starting point is 00:20:25 twitter because elon wasn't getting rid of that feature um and i was getting rid of blocking yeah but you can't legally be on the app store without having a block feature i know i'm barely on twitter as it is but i like i've said before i preemptively block people i just go through comments if there's a comment i don't like i'll block people that's the only people i've blocked no one i've had real personal interactions with except for people who i know personally who i'm like no no you cannot be here um those are only a handful of people i'm related to and related by proxy and then everything else is people i've never had a single interaction with but who because anyone i know i'm like i don't want you to have like the
Starting point is 00:21:06 satisfaction of being blocked but i was looking and all of my muted words i was like i fucking stand by these muted words like go you like i also have cat muted because i don't want to see cat videos pop up genius i need to figure out the right combination of how to phrase that i want to mute the term so i can no longer get the video of the child being like do you see that one no you haven't seen it i don't know what you're saying no if i said if i said there's a video of a child going viral on twitter right now don't want to constipate it no it's a kid and there's a car involved yeah no i'm not going to subject it to you because i don't want to speak it out there because then you'll get on your algorithm and it's awful well my headphones are on so oh well
Starting point is 00:21:49 but i don't want to hear it yeah you don't need to hear it well but i do anytime a child video pops up on tiktok automatically do not want to see yeah i don't see i don't see a lot of people shaming their children and i don't like that at all no the ones i i see people who do like parenting ones but it's like they're filming themselves and they'll like talk to their kids and like their kids are older and it's like you know we're talking about like you know how certain things are you know but it's not like filming their um children and cracking eggs on their head yeah i hate that shit i haven't seen one of those but i think i've blocked enough things so but i've seen people do that to their parents like as far as like adult children doing
Starting point is 00:22:39 it to their boomer parents those are the only ones i've seen yeah i love that one all right well thank you for joining us for fisting friday tune in on monday for don't blame me tuesday for see you next tuesday and i'll share a story about how a horse almost killed me and then girl i wondered if that's what was happening and then thursday a brand new episode of but am i wrong hell yeah and thank you all we hope you have enjoyed i hope you're feeling satisfied and loose or tight whatever your whatever your vibe fits right now okay goodbye bye Thank you.
