Hello, everybody. Welcome to a brand new episode of Don't Blame Me. And this is a special episode because we've had our first summer break and some of us have come out a little worse for wear. A little. Yeah, if you can hear. So we're not going to be giving any advice because right now we're actually not in a place to be helping other people. We need to help ourselves first. We have to put on our own mask. Heavily medicated. You guys don't want to hear that advice. We cannot be held liable for what Melissa says while on medication.

So we are just going to catch up because we actually have a lot of catching up to do with each other and with all of you, what we've been up to. And yeah, it'll be fun. All right, let's get into it. hey everybody long time no listen no here no speaky and you're not gonna see us this week either you're not and if you're wondering what is that sexy raspy voice and that does that have to do anything to do with the reason why you're not seeing us no yeah no no no no no yeah yeah yeah yeah i just want to give realistic expectations yeah our wonderful gorgeous amazing love of our life melissa has been has been plagued i've been battling yeah uphill for weeks a month a month i

was about to say it's it's been a month it was just like a realistic saxophones getting louder situation yeah yeah should we talk about you at the convention we can talk about all of it okay we can talk about all of it as y'all know i've been preparing my body to go but it wasn't enough because there are just circumstances far beyond my control that I could could even imagine so I went to Vegas as you know and immediately when I got there it was just a shit show like my driver dropped me off I was like at the hotel he was like I'm gonna give you the VIP service I was like can we get i'd get dropped off in the front he's like it's gonna be less people if we go through the valet area and i was like okay so we go through that area it is so far away from

the desk to check in like so far and it's carpeted because we're in vegas it's you know casinos so i have to walk through this area and i have two giant suitcases i had to order one the day before because i had so much stuff to take because i was going to be in conferences all day like i was scheduled to be in things all day where i had to have business attire on and then also like half clothes for the evening and things so i had so much stuff so i'm lugging these two suitcases through and i just get to like security and it's a giant hotel it's a caesar hotel which oh yeah it's huge oh my god that's so far yes i know i know what you're talking that is so motherfucking far so i just get to a point where i i see a security guard and i'm like where where can i

get where's a bellhop like something and she was like just leave she's like you are so far away from check-in just leave your stuff with me and um go check in and then get a bellhop because we were like waiting for a bell hop but in the area that she was in they go through a different service area and she's like it's gonna be faster if you just go to check in so I go checking my mom's there my nephew's there he decided to come to the oldest one that's 15 so um I'm just like I'll just have him help me so because this is taking too long so I get checked in he helps me I'm going up and I'm like this is not the area that I booked and I'm like what is this and I say get up my mom's like oh I changed your room so that you could be next to us and I said

excuse me why did they let her do that and that's exactly what I said when I went downstairs after I cussed because I got to the room because I like got a king-size bed I had like yeah I got like a an upgraded room and i get in it's a double bed if it was a king-size bed i might have been okay with staying but it was a double and i was like this is not what i wanted this is not what i envisioned so i'm yelling at her and then i go down and the lady at the desk was so rude in vegas yes in vegas she was so rude and i was like this is a security issue there's no way that she should have been able to change my room this is not booked under the same name it's not and she's like well you have the same last names I said so what it doesn't matter and she was like well

there's no other rooms available I said there's really no other rooms available no other king size rooms available what about my room that I booked and so I was like let me talk to your manager she goes and I had told her I was like this is a security issue above all things so she goes talks to the manager didn't the manager didn't even come over he must have been like yeah this is security issues this shouldn't have been changed and so uh she comes over and she gives me the key card and she's like okay here's the king size blah blah it's an even nicer room that i had booked it should yeah exactly vegas doing what vegas is supposed to fucking do oh my god i can't believe bad customer service in vegas is crazy right so then i get to my room

everything's good now at this point this was on sunday going to events and things everything's good but we have to it's so fucking hot yeah and we're in business attire during the day and we're on buses that are transporting us over to the mandalay where the conference like the convention center but there's it's also like spread out so much like some most of the stuff is at the manilay but some things are at other places too and we're on these buses that are just blowing because it's too hot like and they're just blowing very dry air with all the walking and all the and i'm like not even walking outside because that that's a you know vegas is a premonition itself everything looks way closer than it so i'm i'm taking like when there's not

bus stuff i'm taking like ubers and stuff but my body was just aching and by the time wednesday came i was like i think i'm getting sick um there was like a tuesday or monday and tuesday i literally got in the bathtub and just sat there and let just sat in hot water and i don't not like getting in baths but that's how like aching my body was so wednesday i was like i'm legit getting sick and um i went to the doctor no no no i felt like i was getting sick but then i was like okay I feel a little bit better then I went to one of the events and as I'm sitting there my mom had left because she had to go meet somebody to go do something as I'm sitting there I'm like I'm about to have like a asthma attack I could feel it coming and I got up and I started walking

in the direction that I thought the medic center was but it wasn't but then as I'm walking I saw my mom as she was crossing i was like come here and i just like started hyperventilating uh she found the medics they brought uh i was like this is so dramatic but they brought a wheelchair over and were like wheeling me through the whole convention center i'm like this is actually making this feel worse can we slow down now you're giving me anxiety by the way and that's not helping my breathing yes and asking me questions i can't breathe shut the fuck up and then we get to the medic room and then they put a clamp thingy you know for respiration thing on my finger that you have and they're like we can't read like they're getting a zero yep

and they're like it's because she has nails on and through my my heating i was like those are my real nails are they gel though yeah it's gel sometimes gel depending if you're a little cold yeah but yeah it's you can i just wanted that flex i'm just like these are my real nails they look gorgeous yes and then she switched figures and then it started reading but it was still low my blood pressure was up really high and it was like 150 or something and my blood pressure i like my blood pressure is low on the low end yeah and i was like this is way high and then like i just sat there and was just like breathing deep breaths and they're like we want to take you to the hospital i said no i'm not going i know i'm having an asthma attack i don't need to spend

four thousand dollars to be right i'm having an asthma attack right while they give me a puff of my own inhaler for six hundred dollars right i'm good i'm good just let me sit here but then um and i was i eventually got back we went back to the hotel i went to my room and i'm like i'm like i'm sick so then i did go like to urgent care but not the er and i got they said i had a respiratory infection and then i went to the room but my eyes were just like watering so much and i was in my throat just felt like just like raspy and i was like something else is wrong with me this is not it and then as i was rolling over in the bed i was like that is a prick from a feather these pillows are down pillows which any hotel i've ever stayed at they they tell me like they it says like these

are down in the down alternative they'll like have a label on the actual pillow itself this didn't have it and so I and I'm allergic to that and the real thing with the allergies with those pillows is that they just harbor mold they're disgusting you can't properly clean them in a mass setting and so once they took those away and brought me alternative pillows then that's when like my eyes and stuff stopped and but by that time i had been irritated i've been sleeping on that for three days then i was just sick for the rest of the week i was there till saturday yeah that was wednesday i miss kelly clarkson was very upset about that at least they gave me my money back kelly would yeah and because i called and they were like uh we might need a doctor like

there I was just like can I can I is there a way can I just sell it because it wasn't a resale type thing on the website I was called him I was like there's is there something I could do because I'm like I don't want this take it just to go to waste and she was like you sound awful yeah and I sound worse than I sound right now I was gonna say you probably sounded worse and if you called with that voice I'd be like oh we gotta make an exception like I can I can I can hear that she's a Kelly fan in her voice but i can hear that voice is hurting yes and so they gave me my refund but i mean i got to spend some time with my nephew there was one day i took him out like one day i just took him out all day and he just wanted to do like things that he could do at home

like go to plato's closet okay yeah okay and goodwill okay he's into thrifting right now but heard that this was like the best places to go did he find good stuff no he found a couple good like Levi's jeans he did get like some good cute jeans that were they were nice jeans for like ten dollars hell yeah and then we went to In-N-Out and this is the first time he went to In-N-Out and he that was the most I've seen him emote in years he was very like into like wow this is a really good hamburger and i'm like yeah and then he's like the fries kind of suck though and you're like that's that's that's the deal i got them double fried so they weren't as bad he he but he did like the fries too so like they're not bad but i hadn't warned him before i was about to say

probably we probably say it pretty hefty how bad they are so yeah status expectations low yeah but then so i was there till saturday just in the bed really um my flight back as i told you we got in the air i had my mask on and everything and i wasn't i wasn't running a fever anymore so i wasn't contagious anymore um we got in the air and i was like we're not getting up as high as we need to get it's like something is wrong and sure enough seconds later the pilot comes on and says that the landing gear wasn't retracting and um it was fine now but we couldn't keep flying like that because it could something could happen in the air like it coming off then you can't land right we'd have to land in the water is what they told us once we got back sully yeah that would

have been what we would have had to do so we uh turned around it was another hour they just put us on another plane it's actually a nicer plane but we landed perfectly fine like that was what i was scared about was like the landing but the landing was fine um we would have only been up there for like 10 minutes but got back and then on Monday I went to the doctor my doctor here and they're like you have bronchitis and I've been coughing since I have not been sleeping I feel I don't feel like sick anymore it's just the lack of me not sleeping and coughing um but i've been watching good tv oh that's good what have you been watching um x-man 97 the cartoon animated series the new

season dropped while i was gone so i've watched all of it the finale came out last night and i was sobbing it's so good well it's so good i'm happy to tell you that i've been waiting to tell you i i watched my first x-men movie this past week what'd you watch well i will say that the movies are not as good as the animated series mots gave me that warning and i've you've told me that too before but i was like i'm just interested in x because did you see spider-man yeah did i see i haven't seen it yet i haven't been able to go to the theater i assume i didn't want to bring it up because i assumed you hadn't seen it yeah but i i know that spoiler alert jean gray is there yeah but everything is lined up perfectly this weekend there is the d whatever it's called and

they're going to announce who all the other actors are so i'm very excited about this but so i wanted to figure it out like understand more because i was telling mods because he really loved x-men like that he loved x-men more than marvel growing up and i was like oh melissa loved x-men too so like all i know about x-men has he watched the news because it just picks up right where the animated series in the 90s pick like left off it picks up immediately but they aged up the show so they're dealing with mature things because they aged it up to the four millennials because that's we were the audience yeah yeah but like we know that they're fucking and like they're dealing with mature things yeah but it literally is just like the next day from the 90s version um yeah so like

i was like i really want to see i want to understand it more also because like just of where again where spider-man that crossover is and the only people i know of are like storm because of you and then i know mystique because of jennifer lawrence and um they've done mystique so dirty in the movies they've all they've done most of the female characters so dirty but like mystique does not walk around naked all day i don't know what the fuck that's about the way we had to see a naked child on the one that i watched and i said and i asked once i go do they do this every time he goes no i don't know why they ever did this here because i go it's one thing to have full body paint because like not cgi like amazing wonderful practical but like i

don't mean like oh that's a practical look i mean like practical effect but like jennifer lawrence is like yep yep she's fully fully naked but then they did it to a child and i said no i'm good but So the one I watched was the Jennifer Lawrence one, because that's the one I was most drawn into of those. And it's also the one that Hugh Jackman's not in. And that was that was the decider for me. Yeah. But I it was like so campy that I was like, oh, this is this is fun. Like this.

And I was even saying it's like, no, like X-Men was so much bigger than Marvel for like the vast majority of time. Yeah. It was Iron Man that changed the course. Yeah. So now we're back at our Marvel's rewatch. So we just did Iron Man 1, 2, the first Thor, and we skipped Captain America, the first one, because, you know, I don't I don't fuck with that. I mean, you don't really need to watch it anyway. No, I fuck with the first 20 minutes of it. And then when he becomes like American America boy, then I'm just I'm out. Like, it's just boring. Oh, the X-Men hate Captain America, if that means anything to you. Oh, perfect. Love that. Love that.

Like, constantly beefing with him. yeah because he's like he went and he got that fucking serum in the machine and he yeah they are the cops but he went through that machine he got the fucking serum and not only did it make him like a super soldier it devoided him of like it rid of any personality that any charisma that he had that he had to work back through his second movie to get any of it back yeah um but then we fell asleep during the first avengers um but we're we're doing that whole rewatch because we also did a rewatch of all the spider-man movies yeah before spider-man uh the new one the new one is it's i can't wait for you to see it it's phenomenal like it is it is absolutely phenomenal

and there is there's one guy who is like a total scene stealer he's like fantastic i know who he is and he's british and i'm like yeah you don't even have to tell me i because i've been i had was taking a sabbatical before this trip anyway yeah so i hadn't been working in two weeks so i'm back on tiktok on my secret account not on my actual account i don't even i think i deleted the actual one anyway but i've i i'm watching clips that my all my feed is x-men spider-man but more so like just like the the interviews from the press junket slash odyssey it's just zendaya and tom really me and beyonce that's really and the wmba and i feel like that's great that's wonderful have you seen the odyssey i haven't i've been sick the whole time it's everything's been out

well i was gonna tell you wait as long as humanly possible because you know think of an ent your ears your nose and your throat are connected yeah my i wore earplugs and a hood and i like covered my ears the whole time during the movie and it was still too loud matz's parents their apple watches were going off the entire time saying too many decibels this is too high like audio damage ear damage huh it was the loudest movie i've seen in my life did you see it in the way that it's intended to be seen no melissa because we were in denver and they they kept trying to show it in 70 millimeter and all these other fucking theaters are trying to show in 70 millimeter and as people who live in la you know you can't just like decide one day in the back you cannot be

you have to plan for ahead of time you have to be in the back you have to have a team of people who all have like curly hair that like like frizzy old man men with like curly gray hair that are there that there's six of them because by the way they're very heavy and they have their tiny little spectacles they look like albert einstein and they have to be able to fix it and repair it 24 fucking seven so like you can't just like drop off this like 10 tat like 10 ton massive fucking film reel and then be like hey teenagers you've got this and they don't like it has not worked literally every day in the denver local news it was being like every theater was like not working no 70 millimeter yeah but also you have to get the right seats you can't just like show up there

nope it has to be planned ahead of time i didn't know if you guys have watched it here no no no um i think i maybe would have liked no i wouldn't because it's the issue i had this is that it is too loud and uh it's unfortunately the plague of what happens with male directors is they've never heard the word no before so like it is about 25 minutes too long and we keep seeing a lot of the same stuff over and over again but i hope been there seen that we're good let's move move on so the pacing of the odyssey itself is too long exactly what i'm saying the book I loved every page of it. I'm not going to lie.

I'm obsessed with The Odyssey. I read it multiple times. I wrote papers on it. That's a long book to read multiple times. I know. I wrote like three different papers on it in different classes. I think the acting and the performances were all fantastic. Truly my issue is that I don't think I would have...

I think I would have walked away with a much more positive... I didn't have a negative view of it, but I think I would have been like, wow, that was amazing. if i watched in 70 millimeter because it does crop the entire fucking movie when it's not and so seeing the like still comparison online going oh yeah i didn't see that like i couldn't see that in mine and the fact that it was so loud and it just needed to be i needed it to be edited just a just a little bit it felt like all the scenes with the women were very tight and then

for sometimes for some of the men they said let's get another shot at you let's do this again and there's already not that many women in it and so i'm like okay i don't need to see that over and over again but it was really cool like the practicals all that but it's i can't i've never his movies are loud dunkirk yeah was the loudest movie i've ever been in this movie was 10 times louder than dunkirk he hates he hates hearing he hates ears he hates he he doesn't want a full immersive experience no he doesn't want us to be able to hear his next movie that's what it is i don't like it's just crazy the level that he wants it to be so loud so tell me about your birthday birthday was fun and the week before too yeah so we went to denver and that was really fun i will

say we did in fact leave la when it was like nice temperate temperature and we did go straight into denver's heat wave where it was like over 100 degrees every day humid raining in the middle of the day very weird it was love it sounds like the south it was so painfully hot um but we had a really good time went to see hillary i want to say before we get even get into that megan did leave she tried to shame me on the podcast when i was like we're leaving the same week oh yeah she had told me i knew that she had told me that we were months before like four months before we had said that you said oh i'm i said what day are you leaving you said we're leaving this day and i said oh we're leaving the exact same time that's when we'll take our break that's

why we came up with the summer break and then Megan was like when I brought it up like a month before Megan was like what are you talking about we're not leaving then and I was like yes you are and then you said no we're not and then the week before guess what they were leaving on that day yeah I I just ever I cannot be trusted when it comes to timelines Melissa I'm going to a wedding tomorrow that I literally in my TikTok I filmed two days ago I said I think the wedding is in two weeks bitch the wedding is that fucking weekend like I I cannot be trusted when it comes to timelines numbers dates because if it's before my also once we get into double digits of the month then it all just kind of goes to shit so um yes we did leave at the same time we were

texting as we're both on the way to the airport um but the concert at red rocks was so great i love hillary duff she was amazing she's wonderful no fights at yours no no fights at mine but i my psychiatrist her daughter went to the la one i go she's a fight and she was like there was a fight i'll ask her and i was like please i want to hear um but red rocks is just like so beautiful and like i can't believe that was like months is like fucking like concert venue as a kid like that's just like where you would go but he and his mom both were like we they're like we got to get there early and was really making it seem like we're gonna be roughing it like this is a really difficult thing we get there and we were there sitting for about two hours maybe two and a half

hours because it was seamless and much is like hey mom yeah they really it's running real smooth we don't need we didn't need to do that i was like for sure um but better safe than sorry totally but it was it was great and also you know hillary's a mom she runs a tight ship that stuff she is not past like 11 o'clock like it's time to go and obviously the entire audience is just like drunk girls and gay men and then moths um so that was very easy getting in and out too because like you're not having like anyone who's trying to do anything other than like vibe and have a good time um so that was really fun I got some cute merch I got three different Hilary Duff shirts that Mott's got me which I was like oh my god three I'm being spoiled um and it was really fun then

we we also while we were there we went to a Rockies game baseball game and this is where I realized I have been spoiled with my Dodgers experience well LA I mean sorry San Francisco I was going to say San Francisco. That one, the way, so they, I will say though, the Rockies stadium, they had like a whole little gluten-free booth of food. And so I got to have a gluten-free hot dog. Ooh. And you'll never fucking believe this.

So this is so fucking me. We, last minute, decided to get these Rockies tickets. It was like, if Mata's like call ends early, like, so it's like two hours before the game and it was like, oh, do we want to like, oh yeah, let's, let's get tickets. So we get there, we get in our seats. And as we're like going down to our seats, I see like there are people obviously behind us, but it's not like crowded. And I sit down, turn to Mott's and I go, I think I know the girl who's sitting behind us. And Mott's is like, what? Why would you know? And I go, I think we went to high school together.

And he goes, you think you went to high school with a girl who's sitting in the stadium watching a Rockies game? Is she from Colorado? I go, no. And he goes, did she go to college in Colorado? i'm like no she has no ties to colorado and he goes i don't think that's her and i go i'm pretty sure it's her and i'm like convinced that it's her and i like i'm not i'm not trying to be like subtle and like not like be weird and turn around or whatever and when we go to get food i'm like looking on my phone to see the uh to like look up her facebook to be like did she move to colorado like what's the likelihood she get her like masters here or something and she has deleted her facebook but i find her brother who again and i keep telling mods and his mom is like there's

no way that's her I'm like you guys like and we're whispering like you guys I went to such a fucking small school like what I tell you and I didn't go to actually I don't think we went to middle school together but like she went to middle school with like my other the at the other middle school my other friends I'm like I I'm pretty sure this is her and I do all this like researching researching researching and then she gets up to go to get food or whatever and then I start switching seats with Mott's and then there's a woman next to me who's like oh do you need me to move and I go no I'm just I'm switching seats with him I think the girl behind me and I went to high school together goes oh my god are you gonna say something and I was like yeah so now

I have this other family in on this being like oh my god I hope it's her and I go me too and so then after she finishes eating and she sits down I turn around and I won't say her name but I was basically hey is your name so-and-so and she was like yeah and I was like we went to high school together and she was like wait and she's looking at me she goes oh my god and I go Megan she goes oh my god and she's like you look she's like I don't know how I didn't realize this you look exactly the fucking same and i was like oh my god thank you and she goes i don't feel like i look the same i go you look completely the same and then i was telling her the part the reason why i really was convinced afterwards was her dad looks exactly like her older brother and i was

like that's way too much of a coincidence and she was there with it and she was there with her parents and i was like oh my god and she was she was like holy fucking shit and we were both like dying about this she goes i can't believe this and i was like i was so happy i said something and she was like oh my god like thank you for saying she's like i haven't talked to anyone and like i have one friend still from high school but i like didn't go to the reunion i like don't really like keep in touch with anyone she's like this was like so nice and she was like wait so what are you doing now and i was like oh i'm still like you know doing content youtube stuff she goes oh my fucking god you started that in high school and i was like yeah she was like wait this is so

cool so that was like so fun i was literally on cloud nine and i just was telling matz's parents i go it was her it was her like i'm so was just like so happy i said something and it validated that i was right and monster was like i cannot fucking believe that you came to denver and saw someone you went to high school with and i have not run into anyone i went to high school with or i grew up with and i'm from here that's wild and also like out of all the places to be sitting in the stadium that y'all are right by each other it was and also like it's not like it was because we both got our tickets last minute that's the only spot like no the rockies kind of fucking suck like the entire stadium is open so the idea that i and she was also like wearing a style of

shirt she was wearing a shirt that's for a different sport but it was a sport she did in high school and so like there were all these little things and i'm like i think that's motherfucking her like i'm pretty goddamn sure but she was like damn you like that's great i go i'm great with faces like i'm so good with it so that was like such a fun little um surprise and yeah it was really fun what else oh i've been getting up to a lot of puzzles i did um i could hear your voice in my head when this happened because i was like i need to not be so stupid melissa's like are you kidding me why would you do that like that was in my head as i did it i was doing one of my puzzles and i was i had this was right before we left for colorado and i had so much shit to get

done that i should not have started this puzzle but like i'm not i'm having a really hard time stopping it so i put the puzzle mat on the ground in a really inconvenient spot so there's nowhere for me to like stand to do it so instead what i did because there wasn't enough room for me to stand is I stood on my tiptoes and then just bent completely down in like an L shape. And I strained the muscles in the back of my calves and my thighs so bad that they were swollen and red. And I had to ice them every day for a week. It was literally I got a puzzle injury. And it was and that was right before we went to Colorado. So then I had to drag my goddamn motherfucking suitcase across that carpeted airport. And I was like, I'm going to die. I am going to die.

was like the best thrifting i've ever done so i have my whole haul on there and i'll probably show it on youtube too but i got a lot of cute stuff send my nephew with you yeah i i i would i would love it I will say though it is you know me I couldn't touch anything no I know but it's really fun to break like I could see why he enjoyed having you there because like I brought like I Mott's was gonna take me thrifting and Mott's like let's see if I'll see if my mom wants to come and she's like yeah I'll come and Mott's dad was like oh I'll come too and so I'm they're like sitting on one of these benches and I'm trying on everything and I'm coming out and doing a fashion show for all of them and like what do we all think and like I was like is your dad bored do we want

to drop him off and he goes i'm having a great time and i was like this is so because they don't have any daughters besides it's me and my sister-in-law and so i was like very much doing all that but um when we were in the car driving back um my father-in-law was like oh yeah he's like i saw a guy with his entire cart was full of like le creuset and i was like are you fucking kidding me i was like turn the car around he goes i already checked honey he cleared it out and i was like okay and he was like i wasn't that's why i didn't tell you when we were there because i want you to he's like i already i looked through everything it was all gone but it was sweet because like even matz's mom was like if i was looking for something like oh what are you interested like

what and she was helping me find it god there is one consignment store that if i was if i was going for like a black tie wedding or if there was something that like because i was looking for a dress to wear to this wedding that we're going to this weekend and if it was like a fancier wedding or it was like I had another event that I was trying to go for they had the most like the cutest stuff and the two women who were I don't know if they ran it or they worked there or whatever were just like gorgeous and fashionable like one I cannot predict the ages but I would say the younger one was probably my age but like the two absolutely most stylish black women ever and they were like oh and I was just walking in and I go they have taste because it's curated so

all of the stuff that they have picked their outfits are impeccable and i was like oh god i'm unfortunately i'm gonna love everything in this motherfucking store but everything was it was so pretty so gorgeous so nice and it was like not overpriced but it was like nice ass designer shit like really gorgeous but it was just too fucking nice for the wedding that we're going to and i was like god damn we have to come back it was oh my god so you would have like they're like a tropical section of like that kind of dresses so fucking cute i was thinking all the clothes you wore when you went to the Dominican Republic the Dominican Republic I was like oh you oh my god it was just very very very cute stuff um so that was really fun because like I love thrifting

and doing that for my birthdays a good time and then saw Spider-Man then on my actual birthday we went to the pool because uh did you know you can rent pools yes you and I talked about this I saw you post about it and I was like oh I forgot we talked about it during the pandemic that we might do it i remember so mods was like i didn't know this existed i go i did but i don't know why i forgot again i will say though um it was a beautiful pool we it was a little bit awkward uh we we were running a little bit late because you know how they give you kind of like airbnb they give you like a general idea of where it is and then like right before they give you the address and we're like okay this is farther than it was anticipated and uh that we we like go there

to find it so it might have been because we were late that they thought we weren't going to be coming but like we like opened the gate and um the man who lives there with his his wife is shirtless in his swim trunks and i was like i was like oh god are they joining us like this is crazy and then the woman is what if they did no i was like and the woman was also in a bathing suit and i was like what's going on oh wait wait wait so you said he was sitting there with his wife topless so when you said that i thought you meant she was topless no no like a brooks nader top was their dad thing no no no so we were like okay maybe they thought because it was really hot out so like i could see like the owners being like we're if they're not coming we'll get in the pool

um but so that was a little it was like a little awkward and clunky at first but it was fun and there was like a like a water slide and we like brought the puzzle and we did like it was really fun I will say though my god whoo I I need some swim lessons like I could just feel because I'm so motherfucking tall I have relied on being able to touch the bottom of a pool like so much so when it comes to like oh no no like you can't incorporate bouncing off the bottom of the pool with your treading water or like even just having the safety net like mentally knowing that i can touch the floor that anxiety in there how deep was it well there's a slide so it has to get pretty fucking deep i think it has to get like were you going down the slide i went down after a while i

did decide to go down the slide i went down the slide twice okay and it was fun but like and it's the pool is small but just like the sheer nerves of like being like i can't touch the bottom and like that that's making me panic no totally and i was like that's making me panic and like i need i need to be a better swimmer then so yeah because you think about it like five feet i can't stand in that because five feet is over my head or at the very top of my head i can't stand in that no so either i hold on to the sides yeah they had lots of ledges and like sitting ledges too which was really nice yeah um but it was it was cute i would definitely do it i would definitely do it again um it's nice it's i don't know if i had a pool if i would be like yeah just strangers

come in and swim in my pool that's extra money i guess so the liability was it part um it was in van eyes but like okay deep van eyes like bears could have been in there you know the bears love getting in the pool i know they do okay they know only because there was really tall fences and they were like really close to right off one of the freeways um but uh mott's was like mott's had a great time but you know mott's he's bougie so he was like next time i want to do like a fancy one in like pasadena san marino you know you can go you can rent out like the hotels you can go to those too oh yeah that would be fun but it got it was nice because it was so motherfucking I'll send you the website for that one.

Cool. But you can just do, like, a day pass. Mm-hmm. We should do that. But, yeah. And then I've just been, like, playing with my new camera. I'm obsessed. My new Fuji film.

I can't believe that he got this for me. Like, we were talking about it when we were in Colorado about, like, how bad I wanted it. And it just, like, somehow. Because, like, I've never even been able to, like, it's obviously so fucking expensive. So, like, that has been, like, a reason why I'm, like, okay, justifying it. but also like it's always sold out like i've been on wait lists and never gotten off wait lists and so like somehow he was able to find one in the colorway that i like which i've never seen in stock which is the silver one found one right before my birthday and i was like it's the best

birthday ever so i've been having a lot of fun on my walks and it's also helped me with pacing on my walks so i don't get as like winded because i like i'm pausing and taking pictures which is good because it is so stupid fucking hot except it's not as hot anymore today yeah you wouldn't know i've been trying just like to get out like take a little drive just around the block um because i've been stir crazy but um it it hasn't it hasn't really been hot but i know my air conditioner has been working overtime yeah it is today though it's supposed to be overcast all day did it rain it had to rain i don't know it feels like it it felt like it but also i had like droplets on my not droplets but like dried you know after it rained it looks dry and my car

looked like it was completely filthy yesterday when i went for my right yeah maybe so that's that's what i have been up to and then yeah watching a lot of things devastated to say that i still want you to watch it because it was so good but wonder man season two was canceled yeah after it was renewed they had a writer's room they were starting in like the first episode had already been written they were start like contracts were negotiated everything was signed everyone was back like they were the writers pre-pro was starting um creators been on tiktok like upset as you should be not to give you personally or anyone listening like any spoilers for spider-man but like it actually makes no fucking sense because of all of the things and

the rest of the marvel universe wonder man fits in perfectly to the point where when i heard it was canceled and this is why he addressed it in the video that like everybody assumed it was getting canceled because it was going to be a movie because that it would fit in next and he's like nope not getting a movie and i was like wait what the fuck like hey black people and it's just it's it's the best marvel show i have seen like point like even if it wasn't marvel i would have loved it like it being marvel is irrelevant and that's the same way i feel about wandavision or like agatha all along like those ones are really fun like but this one was like this was just like a straight up tv show that was like really fucking good and the acting was phenomenal

and like it just makes me so upset and pissed off that your other show that canceled too which one the one about the lemon spice or whatever cia maybe oh you didn't know wow ponies got canceled yep even though it's the highest rated show yep wow yep oh my god god we need to bring back network tv so fucking bad wow yep i'm also shocked they had already they were pretty much they had they had no it was renewed and then it got canceled okay the same way like whatever like i need we need to rob a bank we need someone needs to fit we need to fix something because this makes no ever no and i cannot stand it's because the ratings were low but on what it doesn't matter like like i'm i'm i don't like it they don't give shows enough time

like they used to give shows time to like build an audience they don't promote them enough like i don't it's it's their own fault well it's just there's they only keep it within streaming networks and so it's like you're not running ads for your other shows and also you're making they always want to make something new a new one seasons of something brand new one season of something new because then they don't have to pay people more money every time their contracts are renewed and also then they can get like their goal is to get new viewers like new subscribers every time and i'm like unless you're gonna start like you know cutting holes and condoms and birth control like there's not enough people on this fucking planet to get you the increased revenue

and the scale that you're trying to grow every single fucking year with new accounts and new people like maintain maintain maintain and also like you'll continue to grow in general but like that if people hear about a great show that's on for more seasons they're more likely to sign up for your streaming service because then they want to like watch all of it yeah and they want to get invested in shows people aren't getting invested in shows anymore because they're afraid they're getting canceled no which is what's happening god that makes me so sad it was so good and it was so highly like reviewed and even with wonder man they were saying like they don't let them know like they can just say that it was like oh it didn't perform well but they won't tell them

how it performed and so like no one knows what's the what's the truth of that and like what's even the fucking metric of it right so oh that makes me so sad i just yeah we need to get back to network network tv what a time i watched i've been i'm watching sterling point have you heard i've heard of it it's a good show okay so me as i was watching wmba on prime they kept advertising seen it and i was like i'll give it a chance you and i are both pretty much against watching teenagers fuck so you're watching a show about teenagers they're not fucking oh okay so continue watching and then tell me because yeah that has been what's holding but they're they're about to turn 18 if that makes it oh my god no that doesn't because i truly thought they were all 22 i thought

I've been a fan of her since her days on Secret Life of the Married Teenager. And she's like doing lots of really, really good, really great stuff. So I'm not surprised, but I don't know. It's going to take a lot for me to watch a show about 17 year olds. It's the thing is, is that they don't act like 17 year olds in any sense of the word.

Like this girl literally got on a plane and flew to Canada. And I'm like, oh, you can't do that without her. her dad no and like you literally can't do that but she did okay okay like they they they are in they are like teenagers but they're not doing teenage things okay but it's the way that it's written and directed i can tell that she let them improv yeah along with like they there's a skill with improv because sometimes shows go to improv and it just goes on for too long and it doesn't make any sense anymore about they're not sticking to the story it feels like more like this is it this is the script and then like you guys do a pat like one and then we'll do improv in the next

thing or just add a word here yeah and it feels very realistic because it's written well so the improv is not like oh how do i fix this scene it's like oh it's already written well and you just add in a couple other words and whatever that's like the best way to do it yeah and it feels it just feels realistic that's what i've heard like the conversations feel real everyone's saying that it's like the best dialogue that they've heard on a tv show for like ever like or in recent years especially for young people so um everything i've seen from it seems like people really like it um but yeah it's a hard sell for me to watch as you continue on let me know what you think yeah i'm on episode five okay it's like been some making out but that's it okay because i if i'm a hard sell

about watching a show about teenagers matz is an even harder sell yeah this might be a solo watch for me yeah it's good though and then i've gotten back into some housewives stuff oh so i saw that nini was coming back for a little bit on because they're doing like a real housewives girls trip anniversary where they're doing all the seasons like i'm not all the shows from the very beginning wow and they're at the end of this show there's going to be like a total of 82 housewives that have made appearances on the show holy shit um because they're doing they're doing a road trip where they've got a core group of girls from each um different franchise and then they're driving through the different ones um the different cities and then like meeting up

with people there and so far it's i saw one episode and it was great nini was like there with portia um so it was good that sounds fun yeah and but i so i saw that they were doing advertisements for it so i like went and i got on peacock and was watching what i thought was that show and it was another road trip show where they were doing the anniversary of scary island from new york i don't know if you're familiar with scary island i i've heard the name i don't exactly know what happened to scary island but i know i know the phrase yeah yeah it was it was a time in new york new york hooked up with a pirate uh scary island when kelly like might have been on some things and she just kept calling people weird and things bethany just told her to go to sleep

you've probably seen that yes that is what that is from um there was one person that had these big shoes on that was like clunking around the house and herman monster the herman monster they were calling her that and then like it was a it was one of the iconic things but i started watching that thinking i was watching what the new season was of the anniversary but then i was like this isn't right i thought what they were doing was like they were just meeting up with these housewives and then we'll go see the other ones and i was like this doesn't seem right but i was already hooked so it was good fun i love when reality tv is good yeah it's the perfect escapism and when it's bad it's like it makes you really just yeah feel bleak about the world so i saw that oh um

ride or die um have you seen any previews for that either that one is excellent tv you and moss would love that oh my god we keep talking about this i was like we said it looks like spy yes the cover we saw the cover art and i said we gotta watch this this is my kind of show yeah this was on our list of to to start that is it is great television absolutely great television highly recommend i love octavia yeah so tune in i hope that one gets a second season if i logged anything else on letterbox um oh i accidentally started watching love island australia melissa i was so scared it is like i feel like that's like everything you hate it is it is it is there was there is a at first i thought this is an american woman who wanted

to go on because she loves australians and i was like and she's gorgeous absolutely gorgeous beautiful black woman she's got beautiful like she's just like 10 out of 10 stunning because i'm like oh my god you're american just go on american love island why but she's like i love a mullet i love like a dirty australian guy and i was like oh my god and then i find out she's canadian and i go well okay okay that's that's why for sure okay but the way that the what they say on this show on the australian version the way that they talk the the fact that it is the most low budget love island i've ever seen like it feels it feels like so crazy the way that these guys speak the way that every like all of these men are just like sunburned and veiny like their

faces they're just like yeah and everyone's name is like jono so but like it you can hardly understand a word they're saying but like one of them is making a joke being like oh yeah put her right in the puss and i'm like oh my god like it is and matz had fallen asleep and he fell asleep on top of the fucking remote so i couldn't turn it off and i was like what's going on and then i made him watch it and then he's like kind of obsessed we have to keep watching and we kept watching a little bit of it but it was like so incredibly jarring and there's one girl who just came on and this is the very beginning who has the biggest tits i have ever seen she they they open the door for her and she comes in and i just go boobs and macho's like and he looks up he goes

oh my god and i was in shock and then all the girls just call her tits they're like oh yeah tits tits and the way that i'm looking at her going she needs medical help after for what i have to assume is the laceration that are halter top because those they're real they are real okay And immediately Mott's asked me, are those real? And I go, those are real. Yeah, a little droop to her. And I was then watching, though, it was also gymnastics. So I was watching our girls do their flips and all that stuff. But I could hear the cheering and the whooping. And I kept being like, who is the collective rooting for? Because, like, I need to know who everyone's rooting for. but then um we were watching it on matz's phone and then there was like a woman who was next to us when we got on the plane and she was with her partner her husband's her guy and she was like oh they have the game on they have the game on and he's like who are you rooting for and i go anyone besides argentina and he goes exactly great and then she was like yeah he just told me they're like super racist and i was like no like fucking crazy racist and she was rooting for spain because

she was like that's family there and she was like okay and i was like oh i'm just rooting for whoever besides argentina but then we were all like huddled over in the flight attendants were watching and we watched them win right before matzah's service because we were taking off perfect timing i was like yeah it was on people were watching we had really good service on the plane oh wow and well that's because i was on that semi-private jet but um but people were watching it on the plane i was just like i don't care but i think when i was actually texting you i was on the plane oh damn yeah yeah our wi-fi wasn't um that good oh well we had like a open there was one day where it was open to anybody that was coming and they gave away awards

and kamala got an award asia got an award but she wasn't there good you wouldn't want to subject them to that no but she was i was like we're in her fucking town and we're not and she's not here because they had two away games and then it was all-star weekend it's very upset about that who else got an award sandra douglas morgan got an award who is a black woman that owns the raiders and she's also an aka she gave a great speech um and then victor glover that was on the um that uh spacex oh yes he got an award too he gave a really good speech as well respectful of him and his family but that's a handsome man and he was very even more handsome in punk i mean in uh in person it's an incredibly good looking man congratulations to him and very charismatic

watching the fucking movie was i had to tell myself i go they're married they're not together in the movie they're married they're married they're married they're married in real life they're married in real life so um i've seen clips i've pretty much pieced the movie together well once i know have to watch i know i need to watch it i will watch it whenever i'm not hacking up along again but um i i i know what the story is to be respectful to zendaya's husband he is jet i knew what you were gonna say already that man has gotten thick he now that he's there in college he's like i can look like a man now and not a little boy and he's got like he's doing his hair curly and he's got the little curl that's hanging in front of his face and he's got

apparently like incredible like i'm also like this guy he's really fucking good but um yeah i just i i love i love their love and i can't wait for you to see the movie the music is great the effects are great um the action's great the whole directing of it is great and yeah i'm gonna see it again we almost went last week one day brand new day will happen one day i should have went and saw it when the movie theater had it pre-released yeah i looked we never had it only you did yeah i hate that movie theater now though but um i could have seen it i've seen it dumb daniel um but yeah all right on that note yeah i mean hopefully all those costs have been cut out but maybe we'll keep that one just for the button maybe um yeah time for me to try to go to sleep
