the pandemic where i was gardening i was doing so i was growing tomatoes and i also did potatoes too oh you did potatoes didn't come out great so and i know that feeling so i didn't want to but i realized later because they just kind of keep growing i did find some later because you gotta dig them out i did find them they're little baby potatoes but they're cute um but then i was like i don't eat these anymore i don't know if they're good or not because yeah why yeah i haven't been yeah you don't know a cat like neighborhood cat could have been peeing in those yeah yeah it's just like i will say that like you know of course to like skirt any blame for this it is the fires really fucked everything up like yeah i mentioned this when the fires were

happening you were like no it'll be fine no it killed this and i did and that's exactly i was gonna say i was gonna say yeah those ashes really get to that figure stuff but i didn't want to do because then also people that don't know who i am would take that way too holy shit like by the way we can joke about this and also like that's what it was like everything was suffocated by the like we had to change we had to like all of our porch plants we had to get new ones like it like it killed a lot of a lot of shit yeah so we're gonna work on that this week i literally i was over at our neighbor's house yesterday and they because their stuff is just like looking really good and they were like oh my god you think this looks good come look in the back and then i went and

look in the back and it looked even better and i was like you guys i literally told you that my is suffering and like you're just showing me how great yours looks but they were giving me a lot of tips and so i think we're gonna redo our like drip line and like all of that stuff uh do they have enough to share share what there's they're well when we take out grass installed melissa they have a fucking peach tree that's like growing and i was like and i'm there often and i was like where the fuck did this come from and they were like it literally like it grew so quickly because i was like i had no i thought and there was another tree that i said did you transport a like i wouldn't call it a mature tree but like well it's like a tree it's becoming a tree and

they're like no do you remember like that like literally like that barren stick that was just here and i was like that that was a tree this whole time it was crazy but they like really have been on top of it so they gave me all these tips and i took a bunch of pictures and i'm gonna see them later today and like get even more tips and then mons is gonna text them we can figure this out because they have like a whole fucking system like they have like a drip line and then they have like things that separate they go into different pots and like circle different things and i was like oh yeah so we really we really need that um because ours yeah it's not crushing it i as you know i really want to get into this outside but a little too late but

i watched numerous videos on youtube that was showing all the drip lines and stuff and then there's this person in englewood that has just like their whole front yard is a garden with the wood chips and they offer like you can just come in and get stuff like it's not they have the um crate things like you have yeah yeah is it the one who's the the ground is wood chips though oh there's another one okay who's in like central la who's got wood chips and like metal ones oh different oh yeah send me this person so this person is like the they like call themselves the neighborhood farmer and you can just come get stuff and one time i was going to the post office that's over there and i like missed my turn and so i circled around it's like oh that's where that

thing is shut up and it looks beautiful oh i bet but he'll also like if you come by he'll give you tips and stuff so maybe go talk to him as well no that's a really that's a really good call i it the the layout of things because we have a drip line but we just need to like have more and spread it out and do all this kind of stuff i'm like determined to make it like because they have timers so they like don't even like their hose is always attached to it and it like goes on when it needs to on the days that like we that you know we have our water ordinance the days that they can for the timelines that it can and it just like looks phenomenal and i was like we need that because like here i am unscrewing the hose and like putting it in different parts of

the drip line and like all of that and like one time i like hooked it all up and i set a timer and then i went outside and i was like i forgot to turn it on i was like fucking hell so i think that would just help and you know what we i want to we're gonna start also working on like the cut flower garden that we want to do on the back side but i'm like in the in the time of doomsday in the era of recession core like first of all i need an oasis and secondly i also would love if i could eat some of the things in that oasis yes or at least like cut the flowers and like put them out and like not have to you know go without the flowers because none of them we're not getting them locally from trader joe's but i also did a little bit of like the chaos gardening of like a

wildflower like a california native wildflower mix or just like sprayed everywhere i mean sprinkled everywhere so like we'll see if that sticks yeah yeah i wanted to do that on the side part where you should still be fine doing that now yeah yeah yeah um so i was gonna do go get some a packet of that stuff and do it over there where that tree was and they cut it down you know what another thing you could do that and i mean you could there's a lot of things you could still technically do because they say like to start to like the last time to do it was like the last week of march but and we're not like that far past it but what i'm doing too is i'm working on if the stuff that we plant that it doesn't stick in the beds and like it's just too late in the year and

like i'm gonna make sure it's not like a total waste because i'm also doing i found more terracotta pots just around the property and i'm gonna do a bunch of um herbs in there and just like because you can even do that fucking inside i do do it inside i've got herbs in here i need parsley because like i hate buying parsley because like it's a garnish get it tomorrow oh because like it's a garnish but like you also need it and things but like i love parsley on stuff me too but i i don't stick it in um that and uh green onions and chives i just have it in little mason jars yeah our chives died they grow so fast so and even with the green onions i had um are you just keeping them in water and not soil yep we're just oh it just continuously grows never ending

and hey i love that she thinks about you like that because she should she should she's not wrong yeah so i did that and then yesterday i went to allison's book event for save the date it's really good she's very funny everyone should buy it i directed the audiobook so where was it it was um at pages in manhattan beach oh okay the book event was very fun and like i said the book is the book is also fun there may be a character that seems other than the main character that seems very familiar to you listening i wonder i wonder who it could be the words on the page they may sound like they would fall out of someone's mouth those lips damn lips smacking

just want to remind you i do just want to remind you that you did tell me after this weekend you would take watching either finishing the residence or watching paradise seriously i just want to remind you don't worry i plan on finishing the resident resident tonight residents tonight it's so hard for you to remember which one it is i know the residents tonight the first episode where we were talking about it you kept saying resident and i kept residents and i was like i don't know which one is right so then i had to google um but yes but then i'm gonna watch survival of the thickest and then i'll get to the resident or to uh paradise okay here's the thing paradise has already been renewed yeah and it's only got one season yeah like survival of the thickest

it like the first season came out right when the writer's strike happened and so like she didn't know she yes and she didn't know if she was going to get renewed because she couldn't talk about it it was like the week of the strike i thought it came out in like 2022 no oh wow it's been on my list to watch too yeah um so she wasn't able to talk about it so i just want to watch it to make sure that it gets renewed again yeah because netflix loves to cancel something they're they're quite literally addicted to having one season of a show and then never hearing from it again yeah yeah yeah it was surprising like shocking to a lot of people that it got renewed as soon as it did after the first season because people liked it yeah it's a great show she's yeah i love michelle

boutreau i've loved her since what was the first thing i even saw her in but after that i was just like who was this woman i'm addicted to her i've watched all her stand-up specials now at this point i've watched pretty much a ton of her movies a lot every tv show she's been i've watched it i'm a fan big fan big fan she's a guest on not too deep too like oh before she like really hit big time yeah so i'll be watching survival of the fittest thickest survival of the thickest and then k darwinism i know and then after i will get into paradise i feel like i've i'll be able to finish survival of the because it's a half hour comedy so i'll be able to finish it relatively fast perfect yeah so you still have one episode of the residents left you like don't have the

reveal yet i don't think i don't know what what do you do i don't the who were they maybe no no yeah so um i'm the the couple has been revealed yes yes i it's a great it's a really good episode it's like great payoff it has to don't talk about it anymore that's it but um yeah i'm gonna i've didn't wake up as early today because i was out pretty late last night so i got up at like six maybe um and so i'm trying to finish up my work relatively fast and then i've already reviewed don't blame me for tomorrow i've started editing unhinged immoral so when we're done i'm gonna complete that get my work it out in because this is my lighter day for working out and then by lighter day 20 minutes row there's no running today 20 minutes row 30 minutes abs and um then

i stretch for 30 minutes and then foam roll for 30 minutes and i'm gonna take a nice epsom soft bath because i am hurting and then your your your easy day sounds really painful yeah like when i laugh right now my abs hurt oh um yeah and then do you ever like when your your abs are so sore and you laugh and then you inadvertently it like hurts so you inadvertently start clenching your butthole because i wouldn't go that far my butthole is i wouldn't say open or taut it's just a resting position okay no when my abs hurt so bad like it's suddenly like i feel like i have to clench my butthole to like maintain upright like to like stay seated yeah oof so nice epsom top bath and then i'll watch the resident perfect i'm i'm i'm thrilled for that somebody

prime time um but you can't and so well snl isn't the thing is is prime time for us that is not prime time in new york yeah but but they but the whole thing with snl they were called not when they initially started they were called the like not quite ready for prime time it was they had it i forgot what the exact name is but that was their name but you can't you know say certain things and so prime time players you'll notice it's not doesn't happen in the sketches it like you know no one like and like a celebrity doesn't like if there's like a it's not like on a late night show where like someone swears and they're like oh sorry and they like bleep it they don't do like it's getting cut fully from this and um so uh when she passed the audience the microphone of

being like because men ain't and they just there was no plan for them to call and respond she like no didn't think they were ever going to the whole point was like she had done it a couple times before and people weren't responding and that was the point is like she's like bad yes bad stand up and they're not supposed to actually be responding to her and then they just say she goes because man ain't and then they just go shit and it was quick and like she didn't flinch she did not flinch it looked like she was on like like you can tell she actually does stand up because she was like the fcc lauren michaels y'all gonna get us in trouble and you're gonna get fined freaking out colin just has folded in half colin just has like fully crumbled he's like gasping michael

chay's laughing and then laughing just harder at colin losing his fucking mind and i just like love it because i think a lot of people don't like you i will give credit to colin jost even though he he irritates me he's good at his job he irritates me but like i do kind of think if that's part of the job at this point yeah and i feel the same way about michael chay like and there's certain things that they do that i think are like really funny together but a lot of the time they do annoy me but also because the news annoys me so i like the news and it's and we can update i feel like used to be the thing where that it was like the main thing i wanted to turn tune into like i loved i first loved it when norm mcdonnell was doing it and then tina and uh amy

were doing it and tina and seth like i loved iterations i do not love their iteration of it i i like their early years a lot more than i like current but i also i'm like i also i also hate the news currently so it's kind of i'm like you know it it is what it is what it is um i do think that like the when they have segments and they have other people come on and like other cast i really love that and i love their repertoire with other other cast members on it um but it does feel like they kind of like save all of their like really good banter for their like end of the year is it their holiday episode their end of the year episode where they write each other's jokes yeah which i i look forward to i listen that every year so a lot of people

don't realize that like especially when they have other people on that like it's all scripted like even the parts where like colin's like saying to like sarah um what's sarah's sarah sherman being like oh my god sarah you can't say or whatever and everyone's like oh my god i can't believe she improv that it's all it's all scripted and like i'll give colin kudos colin is incredible at improv like sorry not incredible improv he's incredible at making something look so natural that you think it's improvised he's so good at doing something that is so rehearsed over and over and over again and delivering it like it is brand new sentence never said it before and that's like low-key like one of the hardest things to do skill because he he has his look in his eyes

where he looks lost a little bit and he's like trying to figure things out but all this is scripted and planned and that's acting and like i wouldn't say like besides like i would say like from my iteration of like my eras of watching snl i would say like amy poehler is one of like the strongest actors yes on weekend update but like in general that's not something that's really demanded of them so like i was impressed so then to finally see him actually break and be like holy shit and see that reaction i was like oh my god i love it because like we see him fake that all the time he does a great job of it but like actually seeing that and seeing him be like oh my god you can't say like was just so funny to me and i i loved it i would say that

like the this episode was not my favorite the concept they did one with jack black which was funny but um it was uh the game show one that keenan wasn't in and the concept was funny i hope they bring it back but it was like chloe feinman the uh scientologist uh she was like going on like a blind date like game show with three different guys and the host of it was like like she's like oh this guy sounds nice he goes i have i like sorry to break for i have to tell you he's he's dressed like indiana jones and then like jack black the whole thing is like i don't know who indiana jones is but then at one point one of the other contestants like so is he from indiana he goes no he's called nana jones because whatever and then he goes oh shit like admitting he knows

who indiana jones is and i was like oh that was really funny and jack black is like he hasn't been on in like decades and i thought he was he did a good job um but you know it wasn't my favorite episode i haven't watched a full episode since november the first week in november yeah nope it would have been the last week in october actually i did watch after that episode after yeah yep yep yep um but i i want ego and heidi to be in more things together because they are best friends i know and i think that they will be the next amy and tina and we need it i need them in two million movies together i was i was looking them being like this is octavia spencer and melissa mccartney like i need them in heist

movies together i need them to play spies in a movie together like i need it i need it so badly and like you can tell that they are actually like best friends because they're also like so casual with it and i'm i'm just like i think they're so funny and i love them together and i i'd kill for that i think they need to be there for a long time yeah i do too but i i i'm because they are well i haven't seen heidi in anything except for like commercials but like ego does do other things like she's in that yeah steph curry tv show yeah playing his agent but like i want to see i want to see more yeah it's on uh peacock maybe that's what i watch next um but they are great together and i want i want more i want some more i want them to have their own something

i i i support that i support that i also would like to say that i want uh marcelo hernandez to stay on snl and do other things in addition to that but i i can't have him leave because he to me is like a bright spot of some of the sketches on there when because avia also watches religiously and like she's like this was a heavy marcello day and i'm like my baby boy because like too young for me to be attracted to him yeah he also looks like a kid baby boy that's my baby boy he is so he's so funny there they did another weekend update with um jane wickline jane wickline but they did their um i do like their their couple the couple sketch they did another one i watched it yeah oh i was dying it was so funny so i have to say like i'm i'm just like really glad esma like
