Starting point is 00:00:22 You're richer than you think. oh we're already recording hi happy fisting friday see when we have that in the context of the fisting of friday i will automatically associate your beatboxing with a butthole i wasn't beatboxing i was literally trying to move up the bus hole ass queefing i said bust hole but wait a bus hole that's pretty great it is pretty great yeah it's like a bussy yeah but it was more like someone putting their lips around the anal area and then lubing it up you should also probably not that i'm doing this because she's a dense bean salad girl so hello um that uh you spit should never just lube everybody just just
Starting point is 00:01:17 no no no no this is a warm-up oh okay speaking of anal i saw a reddit post of this girl who was like so like my boyfriend like and it was one of the things like i i don't even care when posts on reddit are fake as long as they're well written and you commit to the character and yeah i what i don't like is when people don't commit and i can click on their username and see things that contradict who they are or you need to stay they don't respond ever i go come on if this is a creative writing exercise i need you to like hop in say yes to the improv like come on like you can't so silly um but uh this one was this girl was being like so like my boyfriend loves rimming me and he loves tossing my salad i think she specifically said like tossing salad
Starting point is 00:02:08 and i was like we're all adults here you can say he might have been a child you don't know no no i mean she was lying about her age uh but tossing salad to me is like a that's like an older thing to say um and was like he like loves it and like you know i was i think it was specifically saying like i was getting ready like i was doing my makeup and he was like begging me and i was like fine sure whatever and i'm like picturing her like leaning over on her bed like setting her makeup doing the little cut crease or whatever as he's doing that and then she was like oh i have to stand up to go pee and she goes and then oh no she sneezed and then she accidentally in her words tooted and he was like so upset and like disgusted no no no and the top comment was something like
Starting point is 00:02:49 uh you can't go where shit lives and expect shit to never be home right like you should expect that there's going to be a little fecal matter dare i say you i would assume that you have the opposite of an aversion to that because it will always be a possibility i have to assume that you are more cool with poop and and not i'm not going as far as saying everyone who likes butt stuff is into like scat but i'm just saying that you just have it's closer adjacent to that than not right because even if somebody took a dump two hours ago and they showered if they didn't put something up there to really clean it out those um like an enema or those little vibrating thingies there's there's still stuff in there with always unless you've been on a fast
Starting point is 00:03:49 for the last week and a fucking half like it's all and also are you washing their ass like you there is so much trust that goes on in this to then feel like poop to farting was like oh my god i would go i'm so sorry i let you stick your whole face in my ass and you feel betrayed by a fart do you realize what my ass is doing for 23 hours of the day this kind of shit not not not this stuff this is the exception you can't expect that every day so i was i thought that was so funny but um yeah i'm running me a fisting friday well thank you for sharing that story oh my gosh you're so truly truly welcome what's new with you how have you been i have been directing an audiobook all this week is this a new one yeah on east coast time so i've been up i've already
Starting point is 00:04:42 done four hours to work i was gonna say wasn't your last book also east coast time was it or like mid not our time i thought there was i don't know they're they all yeah they're blend together at this point yeah i think that one was a split of east coast time and west coast time but um yeah yeah like i said i've already put in four hours today damn i'm impressed yep and then you're working out yep at 5 p.m i am exhausted i will be drinking some tea yeah i think i saw your um druggie uh hot chocolate at sprouts the other day druggie hot chocolate yeah your cbd hot chocolate wasn't that one you had something that was like helping you sleep from that that lady yes the b lady but she doesn't do it anymore well i think i saw a comparable one
Starting point is 00:05:35 i'll take a picture next time i'm there thank you because i'm not walking inside no they made it look like i was about to go into like it it was marked it was marketed as like the the drug induced coma i want to do like it looked like the aesthetic of the packaging i was like oh i'm cool with that that sounds like you're gonna lull me into a slumber that might last five to ten business days and i love that um yeah the last time i walked into sprouts was two weeks ago because i'd been sitting in my car for 20 minutes waiting for them to bring my order in and i go inside and whoever is in charge of the orders isn't there like they don't know where he is they were looking for him MIA and then they're just like three people up front
Starting point is 00:06:23 like not doing they were like sitting on the scooters just chilling looking at people and I was like what's going on also why is there only one little thing letting people know that people are outside and then they couldn't release my order because they couldn't find this thing and then finally I was like like it took me I was in there like a solid 15-20 minutes and I was like Just refund me my money because by the time I've been in here, I could have just shopped again. And they're like, well, we can't do that. It was a whole thing.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Finally, I had to pull. I don't think this was a Karen because I wasn't going out of my way to make people uncomfortable. I was actually getting what was mine and saying, I need to talk to the manager. And then the manager got my stuff. And I'm like, it's literally sitting there. my name is on it at that point i'm like you want me to get the manager because you can't you know
Starting point is 00:07:22 we both know that you can't do anything about this until i get your manager and like i wish there was like a code word or a phrase to be like could you get your manager like something along lines of being like i want you to know that i'm not trying to be an asshole about this but like i don't know how to say we both know that this is a this is not within your scope of responsibilities this is above you and like that sounds like a fucking dick thing to say but like it is i'm taking up your time you're annoyed because we both know i can't help you yet right so yeah that's that's fucking annoying also i had like frozen stuff in there oh no take back and get me fresh ones do you get any good stuff though
Starting point is 00:08:02 at this point i don't even remember what it was it was two weeks ago oh i get the same i eat the same things right now i'm eating the same thing every day pretty much we both that's something we have in common yeah we both go through those phases and i will say we're never in the same hype like food phase but we do switch around the same times like i remember when we used to record in the second office we were in or whatever um that like bringing foods it would be like i would say because we would end a little bit earlier so i would go home and eat and i would like bring snacks or whatever and there would be like the day that you brought new snacks i'd be like i brought new snacks too yep and it was like oh yeah we've moved on we've pivoted we've switched
Starting point is 00:08:46 it up of what we're going to do um are you still occasionally eating dairy yes but not really that much occasionally like i'll put it in things but not like a straight ice cream no no no no i've been eating the kind bars that i told you about the frozen kind bars that are dairy and gluten free and they're so good i would like it tastes like a snickers bar no i know when i saw the market i was like you guys should have done this so long ago this is like fucking genius and i was like chewy bars it's time for your resurgence throw some ice cream with a chewy bar yeah luna bars you can't be saved that cliff bars you can't be saved that's just fucking nasty no um i was gonna suggest though but not for you i guess for other people listening um we were when
Starting point is 00:09:32 mirror at sprouts i have a because i grew up in california there is things that i forget are um i i think and because grew up in california went to school california live in california i forget like things that are like niche in this way where i was like oh my god like oh i like i was like oh did you i pointed to this ice cream i was like oh do you eat this growing up months like no i have no idea what that is and i was like oh you're right that's the strauss family creamery that's from marin we used to go to field trips there like it's very small so i made him get i was like i was like oh my god you should try it and um he tried the coffee ice cream and he was like this is so good it's better than he said it's better than the tillamook one what he gets and the better than
Starting point is 00:10:10 the van lewins that he had been getting so recommend everybody support the strauss family creamery love that van van lewin does have some excellent dairy-free ice cream like it just tastes like their aesthetic i bet i mean strauss family creamery they are that is a milk it's dairy yeah they're doing they have they sell milk no they do they started selling milk and like i it made me think i was like wait do you know clover milk and i was like no and i look up the bottle like the carton bottle of clover milk the glass bottle or the paper garden and it says clover milk sonoma california i said oh okay this is these we're getting very niche but i had just been seeing like strauss in sprouts and so i assumed it was it might be nationwide at this point but he had
Starting point is 00:10:51 never had it and um that's always rare because he grew up in colorado so we usually have some of the same things i i think their expansion is more recent though oh yeah that would make sense then yeah because like we just have all the restaurants like all that stuff and like their strawberry ice cream was fucking delicious speaking of things that um are trends that did not necessarily catch on what was your reaction when i sent you that tiktok about mums i had to rethink about what the fuck you're talking about and i was like the flower um no the homecoming tradition if you're listening and you have no idea you're on the same page we were i i why i still don't understand the why i don't understand the aesthetic of it i had to do you want to explain i don't know what it is
Starting point is 00:11:43 give a background but like i don't know what it is it's shown up my for you page like a couple of times and like it was just like the lore was so like it was so confusing to me that like i didn't even really dive into it because i just saw like completed people talking about mums or like oh yeah whatever so there was not too much of it and i stumbled upon this woman who owns what i assume is a mom shop i did not know it was a year-round thing or like what else she might make or whatever but she was like watch me complete an order for like i think it was like a senior year homecoming mom and i was watching this thing of going i'm so sorry what is this woman doing with all of this craft paper and all of these ribbons and like there what is this hot
Starting point is 00:12:26 glue and what is why is this thing caught like what are all these staples doing in this and it's basically like this if you were gonna make one of those really fancy department store bows with all of the loops imagine you make that with like ribbons and cardboard except you drag it out you make it long and it turns into like what looks like the the the winning ribbon for a prize winning pig that at some fucking county fair like it's this huge fucking thing that it turns into and from what i gathered because everyone in the comments goes what the fuck is this because she's talking about like we all know like what it is um and it's called a mum and from what google told me it was like a southern tradition of homecoming and it is specifically texas well because that's
Starting point is 00:13:12 why i texted melissa and i said did you have these at any of your schools because you moved around and i was like did you have these at any of your schools and i knew it originated in texas but i was like all these people from all over were commenting about it and she was talking about like shipping these mums and all of this kind of stuff and then we both did a deeper dive to look at some of the photos like photos and videos of completed mums i guess traditionally it was like your date got them for you for homecoming like this or got it for it i think it's a singular thing they got it for you for homecoming and i was like do you wear it the whole week but they're like oh sometimes you just wear it the day of like the homecoming game and some of these ones
Starting point is 00:13:49 were costing like nine hundred dollars and like this one was like i hope like this girl has like kept all of the mums that like i've made her i've been making and then she said something that i didn't even tell you this far this part i this opens so many doors i've been making her mums since preschool what do you mean i think i heard it somewhere that's not new information coming yeah so then i reached out to avia my friend avia because she's from texas and i was like did you what is because you responded first when i asked you do you know what this is and you said what the fuck is this yes so i asked her and she said it was always around she didn't have one but she never thought anything of it like it was just normal and that's even crazier to me because i'm
Starting point is 00:14:35 like what do you mean because if i received a mom if every other person in my school was also not wearing one the way i would go this is so embarrassing like if it's only like some people who are participating and then it's like well we weren't judging them and i go but should you have been like what is this tradition and also like is this even more extreme like if you don't have a date but then some people like no a lot of people buy their own that's what i was saying most of the people in the videos were just buying their own so i'm like what they were being asked how much did you pay for it yeah how much your parents pay let's be real the best one i saw she made it herself yep no hers was by far the best and like yeah that i understand more than anything i
Starting point is 00:15:17 understand like uh like i could understand like throwing a party inviting your friends over y'all all sit down and do it like that makes sense to me i could understand like the craft part yeah like when we used to make senior jeans like everybody would get together oh that's fun i was i didn't want them but um i'm still going judge um but uh but everybody would get together and like paint stuff on their jeans to wear the um on football game days i guess i think yeah that's what it was they were wearing those jeans under these moms by the way i don't know if you saw that i didn't it was too much going on but they had on the acrylic paint on all these jeans and now that you say this i thought it was just they had these different jeans but no i think i
Starting point is 00:16:02 think they were doing both yep because so yeah that makes sense to me in like the sense of like activity and craft like you know not to the level of like making your own valentine's day mailboxes for elementary school like not like a school sanctioned one but like something you do with your friends like we did like homecoming floats or whatever like or like making halloween costumes or you know people decorate their lockers or like do whatever that so like that to me would make far more sense than these girls who are like how much was your mom and it was like again we know it's their parents buying them eight hundred dollars and i go why and i watched this woman no noxious woman get your money girl she did this like come with me to hobby lab and it's just like cheetah
Starting point is 00:16:44 print ribbons camo ribbons and she's just like buying stuff and she's just hot gluing these things together and i'm like you bitches are not prepared for time to make a sorority paddle because you need to establish these arts and crafts skills are you gonna hire this woman to like make your paddle are you gonna hire this woman to do all of those different things like i was just i was shocked and in awe and i need someone who understands this as part of this culture to like give us some more info yeah if you're from texas write in nana get off your hop your harp get off your harp hop off the harp and let us know what's going on it's just and also i want we'll keep you anonymous if you want
Starting point is 00:17:29 to like talk some shit because i avia is too nice i do need to know that avia is very nice yeah there's no way that avia's mindset of not like you know i didn't think anything was weird about it i know some of you bitches thought this shit was weird and i need you i need to hear from you because avia's too nice and she's not even lying about that i know she's just a nice person and she has been and i she was sending me some videos yesterday from a um show that's on air that the People were so happy to her. I had already blocked it because I was sick of seeing it. Melissa, I was here for it.
Starting point is 00:18:11 And then they did. And I said, no, I'm out. I was I think it's so cringy. And so therefore, I adore her. The person who show this is. But I had to block it because I kept seeing these videos pop up. And then Avia sent me like 10 in a row was like, I love this. This is so cute.
Starting point is 00:18:32 And I was like, I'm glad you like it. I'm glad that like that's for you. And then she kept sending them to me. And I said, ma'am, I know you're, and she's sending them to me from Instagram. So I have already seen them a while ago. And I said, ma'am, I've already seen these and I have her blocked. And she said, why? And I was just like, it's not for me.
Starting point is 00:18:56 me as a curmudgeon as a grumpy person it's just not for me i adore this person but i do not want to see this yeah i think that the people in the video that are doing the thing they also don't look like they want to be there either no and i don't know who started this but i would be like i'm out i gotta go find another job yeah no again i thought it was happening one time for one specific person because it made sense for that one person there was something that was um the content was already there so it was it was easy and i was like oh fun and if you look at the faces of the people that video they look like they're having fun because it makes sense that they're doing this and then when i saw we kept doing it i was like oh and then the next one faces
Starting point is 00:19:42 start falling and i go yeah what are so this is this is just what we do all the time i don't think that people should get the same treatment that yeah i said it there i said it i don't agree agree not everyone is created equal you're okay there you go and if you understand what we mean some people sometimes when we're cryptic about things people yeah message us and be like this is what you're talking about yeah hear that it's your money calling it wants a promotion elevate your savings with the scotia high interest savings account always earn high regular interest rates that grow the more you save and invest conditions apply visit scotiabank.com slash hisa to learn more scotiabank you're richer
Starting point is 00:20:32 than you think he is so i desperately need him to do something again like the brooklyn 99 episode because the way that this man is like the world treats him like he is Jay Shetty like positive connotation and I go stop doing this man like that he's so talented stop making him this like wholesome fucking Justin Baldoni kind of guy I'm like I need him to go play a serial killer so I can be like weed out those fans so I don't have to skip every fucking video of him because everyone's like oh him and his wife started a podcast yeah and his wife is funny as fuck and yes i follow her already and she's friends with culture like they're friends yes so sterling king brown and his wife ryan who's also an actress um they started a podcast and they're both very shady
Starting point is 00:21:29 um but he this was when they were they were college sweethearts and he had gotten into acting school and she was waiting to get her letter to go to the next level or whatever i think it was grad school maybe and she was like i i'm i don't know what i would do if i didn't get in blah blah and he was like well i won't know because he had already gotten his letter of approval and she hated him for like two weeks and that is sterling i need the world to see because again like every time i see a video of him or on a talk show like the host will really like just like position him to be yeah like this like wholesome like oh like solving world hunger kind of vibe and the only only fucking host that like lets him be him is when he's on graham norton
Starting point is 00:22:23 or he's on like a british one and he goes okay cut the bullshit and i'm like i just need him to play another one of those characters yeah i think that's why sterling k and ryan started their podcast so then they could show his other side because i think he's tired of it too no he's like i was acting on a show that like and also people think like mandy moore is like this like wildly like wholesome and like she's so kind of wholesome but like she's like a huge fan of like bowen yang and matt rogers podcast and like went on that and like was like giggling and like talking shit in that way i'm like stop making these fully grown adults into like these babies that are like these infallible creatures who are like so like they didn't ask for that they literally they
Starting point is 00:23:06 played a role they were at their job and they were doing their job one of our listeners has no clue who mandy moore is oh yeah why i know this is because they commented on a video of her singing candy from back in the day it was like i don't know who any of these people are because it was like pop people or something from the 90s and i was like you don't know who mandy moore is that's crazy i know let us know if you've listened because i really do think you'd love specifically her music video when she's got her little jeep i mean no her little volkswagen bug yeah that was candy yeah i think you'd enjoy but not just music like as an actor too yeah also you without a doubt you've seen tangled
Starting point is 00:23:55 true there's no way you like i i almost can bet my life on it that you've seen tangled so you do know who she is how do you hire someone for a service and then transition that and to be like we should be friends uh that's tricky yeah what service was it so we hired um you have been paranoid about the health of my fig tree and the avocado tree so we hired um these people that our neighbor recommended to like come check and they like specifically work with fruit trees and like fruiting bushes and that kind of stuff um and this guy came and we were just enamored vibing like we were just vibing and like hanging out and i was like giving him a tour we were like you know talking shit on random things we were just like laughing and giggling together and then when he
Starting point is 00:24:51 had to like leave for his appointment first of all he was like you're doing an amazing job maybe that's why i want to be his friend because he was just so nice he was complimenting yeah he's like you're doing an amazing job you're doing nothing wrong he's like i was so nervous coming here because it was like on the notes it was like client thinks that they have fig rust and i was like i'm gonna have to tell this poor girl that her entire fucking garden like all of this is dead like that's gonna be horrible and he was like no this is a this is the you're doing everything great this is fantastic like you don't even need to like hire us to like do any of the work like you can do it yourself he was like so fun and so nice how old is he i would say 30s okay
Starting point is 00:25:27 i mean technically you did hire me for a service no i know so i was thinking about that but we technically i also didn't hire you specifically that's correct but i also didn't hire him specifically i hired the company yeah um but the thing is is that it's the time i was going to your house a lot yeah and then he was at my house once and then but then like when we started venturing into talking about sex on the podcast that opened us up in many ways since we are talking about fisting friday it opened us up to start talking about other things in our life because it's kind of hard well and like when we're giving advice we're like pulling from personal experiences so we're like learning a lot about each other
Starting point is 00:26:20 um i learned and then we started going to workout classes together that's how we like our friendship friendship really started so i guess um start having conversations and then inviting him to an activity but like you don't really go anywhere so no i also don't your activities are like going to the nursery and he's like that's that's my job already yeah and i'm just like i was like giving him free off i was like do you want any avocados he's like oh i'll take one and i was like are you sure like he probably gets them a lot no he was saying he's like i've got so much i think that's one of the best perks of this job um but he was like so nice like i don't even know his phone number i have his email that he'll email
Starting point is 00:27:05 me the consultation do it mott's is good at talking to people because i feel like you then you might think that you're hitting on him he won't think i'm hitting on him is he gay yes melissa do you think a straight man showed up to my house and i was like i want to be friends with this man you thought a straight man and i were vibing in a non-sexual platonic way yeah and first of all that has happened twice in my life okay well that sounds mean because it sounds like we're excluding i will say the first person that ever happened where it was like leo and i and right off the bat yeah but that is never fucking happened to me like do you know what i mean and like leo and i like it was really us like we are so we were just so similar that was not this
Starting point is 00:27:49 experience i'm so weirded out by seeing leo on my television every day i i want nothing but the utmost success for him i will say if he is in something i will have to do so much vetting beforehand like when he was in why women kill i asked him well because i was before i think it was even before the they had to show the name but like we were what were we doing we were doing something we might have been doing i don't know but he was like he was auditioning for it and he was like holy shit i think i'm i think i'm gonna get it and then when he like was said who was in it or whatever immediately i'm like i'm not gonna watch that you're playing like the um tyler the desperate housewives jesse metcalf you're playing like the jesse metcalf to eva longoria's character
Starting point is 00:28:34 they're like i don't need to see you be like a little like sexy fuck toy boy for like this fully grown adult woman so like i avoided the show sometimes it shows up my for you page i go no no no well the thing is is that he's playing a high school student so it's weird already yeah and then they've recently started having him have his shirt off all the time and i'm like this is supposed to be a little boy he's supposed to be 17 like i don't want to look at this like good for him but yes but then also like a big part of his storyline is like this other girl that is his girlfriend's best friend but they got in a fight now wants him well she always wanted him but they were the other her him and the friend were dating behind her back
Starting point is 00:29:27 and she was mad and so now she's like trying to seduce him essentially and he's never had sex before so it's just like that virgin injury that virgin energy that has to be out there what and i'm just like it's just weird what a phenomenal actor we're talking about days of our lives i was about to say which one of it is again days of our lives you get to see him a lot yeah he's been on like because i just binged a lot of it because i was behind and he was on like every episode from last week not just like well congratulations but yeah i have he's he's quite talented because i'm going to tell you right now exclusive not a virgin he's a married man he's a married man and his wife is great she's amazing she was on days for a while too i was
Starting point is 00:30:19 watching um the worst most stressful movie of all time and natasha i don't mean this is any knock against you you had nothing to do with why this movie stressed me out so much but we were re-watching game night and i was like oh my god i think that's the one i'm pretty sure i don't even need to check it and i'm like 99 sure i don't know how and here's the thing i just also might be like so Hear that? You're richer than you think. socially um deprived of interactions with new people because despite the fact that i'm inside my house all the time i'm an extrovert like i am a performer i like love being the center i love talking to pete i love all of that i don't love but you don't like you love talking to people but you also don't love talking to people because like if you have to ask somebody something you're like Melissa King you go do that's different that's not like a that's not like a performance or like
Starting point is 00:31:41 socializing kind of thing that's like going to like the asking people to do things for you if you're like at the doctor or like whatever that is or like when I'm in my element of social like I'm I'm I I love it I love a performance um and I was like maybe that's what I'm feeling here is that like I have a captive audience and that's why like we're vibing but no he was like so cool and so great and i was like i'm obsessed with you i'd love to be your friend i didn't say that to him and here's the thing the last time i made friends was with my neighbors and the reason why that was easier is because one of our neighbors literally knocked on my door and she was like hey i'm just gonna cut to the chase i think we should be friends and i was like and that's what i mean
Starting point is 00:32:24 that's what i wanted to say to you that's that's a little bit of your introvertedness because like if i want to be somebody's friend i just let them know i'll be like hey let's hang out yeah yeah i should do that you're right you're right you're right i found a job for you oh cool i found a movie that i don't know if we want to talk shit about it publicly okay do you not want to hear about the job i do but just remind me to tell you at the movie because i don't know if i should say it on the air okay so i saw these people on tiktok well one person specifically talking about this is going to be ridiculous i can tell standardized patient where you with medical students you act out symptoms that you have and then they try to um like diagnose you and so you're literally given
Starting point is 00:33:15 a script and you act out and you act out everything you got to improv some and then they tell you was wrong with you that's fantastic it reminds me of it i saw this reddit post of someone who was like how i i'm in a play and i'm supposed to have a limp how do i act out a limp and like the first 10 comments ago limp like what the fuck do you mean just like and someone gave this like really detailed explanation and all the other responses that come are being like whoa i didn't even know that this was what you were like it was basically like think of the intention of like you're dragging around like this whole thing and i was like okay so i totally understand getting like really actory and like really heady for you know but just certain kind of things but when it comes to like
Starting point is 00:34:06 a limp you don't really need a mental well it's like a cough just cough right like it's not like falling where it's like you have to like do the stunt to like accomplish the end like the starting point to the end point it's like coughing yeah or sneezing whoever wrote that post was probably a teacher like an acting teacher yeah i was wondering i was like this doesn't feel like an like not that it didn't feel like an earnest question but this feels like i i think if you've been in this subreddit for like long enough it could again it can get very heady very actory but like a lot of it is also just like just chill yeah but um ucla i looked it up ucla um they're not hiring right now but they said to bookmark the page and keep refreshing
Starting point is 00:34:55 so oh my stomach oh you sound sexual i'm sorry about it i can't help it it's not that kind of doctor movie um that's it that's all folks yeah but i can't do it me either um well thank oh oh i got something to talk about what i on the live stream was making cookies you were and so i just made just put two of them in the oven and then froze the rest and so every day i've been experimenting with different combinations of things to put in it but i did put well you tell the people what the basic i'm getting there okay i'm getting there oh you're really good at telling the story then setting the tone so i did put the recipe i'm still playing with it because it's not it's a little too buttery right now um but i put the recipe
Starting point is 00:36:04 up on our patreon and it's like free like if you're a free member of our patreon you can see some things and so you still have to like be a member but a free member so if you want to see the recipe i call it walmart cookies you call it what brookston loft house loft house like the mall store no the uh magazine yeah um yeah um those thick thick thick cake like cookies which i'd love but i don't like the icing on top of it yeah so for anyone who doesn't know if either of our descriptions aren't helping they're the cookies that are sold that are like thick kind of i wouldn't call them shortbread but they and they're not sugar cookies but they look like a short but they look like sugar yeah they usually have a color frosting yeah they're very very light and
Starting point is 00:36:54 fluffy they're like a cakey kind of cookie yeah and they've got like a colored frosting and sprinkles like pink i would say it's like the year round but then they'll do different holiday additions and all that yeah so i made it um and they're they're very good and i use cake flour which for me because i'm gluten sensitive but i like don't do a lot of gluten but cake flour has a low gluten level or whatever so i can eat those fine i'm still not great but like i'm fine yeah um and so i've put pecans in one day i put chocolate chip in one day i've been mixing it up and trying different things the chocolate chip tastes fine like if you just want a base sugar cookie but like it tastes better with brown sugar so that's what i'm gonna
Starting point is 00:37:45 make next time is make the cookie itself with brown sugar um and see how that turns out but um it's very good it's a little experiment every day that's fine i saw some girl um on instagram she sells cookies on her instagram every week i have been seeing a lot of people starting home bakeries and I'm like Hear that? It's your money calling. It wants a promotion.

Starting point is 00:38:39 we could do that i know we could we really could do there's literally a cookie shop down the street for me that just opened and it's like the they have a line out the door every day and um it started she during the pandemic she was just making cookies at home had never made cookies like she was just making cookies for fun you know we was never thinking about a profession in it and now she has a storefront and there's lines out the door and here's the thing we both are good at we can both can cook and bake but we can both cook and bake for allergens and also not yeah like we can do both and figure out like if we eat something we can figure out what's in it because like this is i'm just like testing things out to figure out what's the right yep consistency um and i'm
Starting point is 00:39:27 almost there yeah we're not a recipe is a is the starting point and then we figure we change it all up ourselves and so i'm like we could really really fucking do that yep so it's it's been on my mind a lot i know me too because i'm like i need to make money i need to do something i don't hate yep and it's i made i made the batter for those cookies in like five minutes yeah and then it only takes eight minutes to bake in the oven like there's really not you can make so many in such a little amount of time yeah i wouldn't make wedding cakes i wouldn't do um if i did i'd be like here's your ugly wedding taste but it tastes phenomenal yeah like that to me is like stressful like i could do i would do special occasion cakes for just friends and family still yeah but i
Starting point is 00:40:22 probably wouldn't make cakes for a living ice stuff and then be like no because there are ways to do that there are like machines and equipment you can use that can ice them perfectly that are like so fucking expensive and like i'm just not gonna do that no and it's gonna take so much time like cupcakes cookies yes little loaves breads brownies cake pops yeah i used to for my sister melanie's wedding i did a whole spread of desserts and did like red velvet twinkies yeah like we could was that i know really i know and like the flavor combinations we have speaking of my new friend aka the man i hired um i was asking him like where i could like plant more things and if i could do some container fruit tree gardening because i was like i wasn't sure
Starting point is 00:41:07 if that was like actually sustainable he's like oh no it totally is you won't obviously yield as much as you would in something that's plants in the ground but he was saying like lemons but he's always saying passion fruit and guava oh i know he was like oh sure you could do a lemon or a lime but like what about grapefruit and i was like okay great but i thought you meant like actual passion fruit no he said passion fruit and guava the thing about those two things is it's hit or miss if it's gonna i'm not doing passion fruit passion fruit is i'm like maybe if we were like in an actual tropical climate yeah but like guava i think would be good i don't think passion fruit would be good because i've had weight like guava to me every iteration of guava is good passion
Starting point is 00:41:53 fruits it it to me is a very big hit or miss yeah because like guava is good baked in things i don't love passion fruit baked into things so like if they were overripe or they just drink yeah but that's what i'm saying but like guava i like a guava flavor i like a plain guava i like a guava drink i like all guava yeah so might do that and no one on our street has it and i'm trying to like cover all bases i do need to befriend the people who have the pomegranate tree there's a couple people who have big i'm sure they want to get rid of that because that grows and then the ones who of mangoes oh mangoes yeah and that tree is stacked i'm like i want to go over with my like picker i'm like do you need help i can help you out yeah so pretty exciting oh well
Starting point is 00:42:40 the last thing i was gonna say is the jury is out on this because no i told you but in the live stream never mind that the the tree r.a.t might have been a possum but then one of my neighbors said they do have tree r.a.t's and i was like um i'm actually just choosing to believe what are you spelling r.a.t mouse r.a.t spells mouse it sounds like you're saying r.i.t but you're saying a t r a t okay r a t s spells rat rat rat rat i'll i will unplug this fucking microphone okay i can't even look at you that's the it we hope you all that's the it sorry we hope you all enjoyed um and uh stay tuned have a great weekend and we'll you'll hear from us again yeah you'll hear from us on monday for but am i wrong tuesday for see you
Starting point is 00:43:40 next tuesday and uh thursday for don't blame me and then we'll be back here on friday so you can get properly fisted do you fancy a fist fancy a fist
