the ad copies that we had that you read and i was like i literally was like florida signal set you have the biggest word in the world because I had no idea that that's what that word was what was it do you remember I don't remember but I can pull it up we can figure it out later if we don't have to I mean I was honestly thinking about it the other day but then I didn't take the time to look it up I don't remember what it was though I don't even remember what the ad was I know me neither but how are you you've been weird this week I have I know and I've been very weird this week i had a shitty night too i didn't sleep well i had a horrible headache and then woke up this morning with um same headache and taking tylenol but um yeah it was weird i like we didn't um

i worked a ton this weekend and so like i didn't get like time to like decompress and so i just have like kind of felt like I'm you know what like when you work at night or early in the morning and nobody else is awake and you're kind of like on an island of one yes so like I've just been feeling like that all week because I've been like so sucked into like the one thing I've been doing which is editing like I've just been like in on that and like time is passing life is moving on or whatever and I was like I forget that people and things exist um and I'm like I have to give myself a weekend now because like it just got to be i was like i just have to power through and finish this and then i'll be done and i was like it's taking you all fucking week to finish it now

you just have been non-stop right and then when you don't take that when you don't take the weekend then you get so brought down that also your work yeah and it's i'm being slower like i'm just like second guessing but like i'm not as like recharged in that and so i was just like that was a bad call and monstered it too and he was like we shouldn't have done that like that was a bad a bad call i've learned that and i've been forcing myself to take weekends so yeah and i've been good at it for a while and i like i think i underestimated how much that was helping i don't want to bother you but um i was just waiting till today i was reading your text messages and i was doing the things that you said to do i just i know and then i was like i'll see it when he goes up

exactly she doesn't do it then i'll just bother her again yeah and we saw some of matz's college friends this weekend it's like a very last minute thing he was just gonna go do and then he had me come at like i think we left like nine or something and it was like a late couple hours of a thing um but yeah it was it was like a it was just yeah weird weird vibes i don't know why too i think also like the and this is not to compare to the natural disasters everywhere at all but like the weather aspect of like we're getting into like a weird kind of june gloom thing where it's like bright but there's no sun and like the time doesn't feel like it's passing it feels very groundhog day and that's how i felt all week so it's been groundhog week well you're out of your

hole now a little bit right yeah i am good did you finish your edit i did but that's it what's new with you the podcast if you're in our patreon i teased and this was once we um stopped recording i teased a podcast a new podcast that i have coming and it's like officially it's coming coming so i'm excited very excited when do you start hosts um we're gonna record they they want the episode to come out november 7th so it was pretty fast oh nice the hosts are excited they've been teasing on their own tiktoks so you wanted the host actually just popped up on my uh for you page i was just watching them so uh yeah we're excited they're excited it's gonna be amazing and i'm very excited about that kendall sent me somebody else that wants me to consult on a

podcast and i was like great oh my god what else is going on i watched it i watched um high potential oh how was it um i enjoyed it it is a very i feel like it's one of those cbs shows that you would enjoy even though it's on abc the things come very easy to her which i i like a little bit more challenge you need a 45 minute yeah i need a little bit more challenge like i need her to work for things things are coming a little too easy i love caitlin olsen um i will watch anything she's in i still think the mick was one of the greatest shows ever made and fox canceled it way too early also they were airing episodes out of order yep that's to me i i cite that as and i know this is a huge thing but i think almost even above scream queens because scream queens i get i was

like that was a little out there and like i loved it but like i understand not the masses the mick to me is baffling yeah right so fucking yeah what are you doing i only got a little mascara on the mic it's the way that you went about it though yeah i got a little spatial uh unawareness disawareness okay um megan is putting on her mascara from one of our sponsors you can hear us talking about it in the ad break and um had her arm twisted in a weird way and stroke the mic with it oh stroke that's what you did so i know what you're doing right now as you're putting your mascara on stroking it down your lashes speaking of i gotta reach out to this brand uh the sponsor because turns out they have a brown mascara oh yeah but yeah it's good and i will

watch or anything but i thought it was going to be about weed like why name something high potential and it's not even about weed come on it's not about weed no i thought she was like a stoner no oh yeah i'm a little confused now too um but uh i also watch babes which is a movie with alana glazer and michelle boutteau and that is one of the best movies i've seen this year it's got heart it's funny it's a simple story but like it's just well told and i recommend everybody watches on hulu i saw um some reviews of people saying like the exact same like it was like one of the best things that people have seen in a while yeah so kudos to alana glazer for writing it yeah um we also have it her clip is uh one of her soundbites one of my favorites from

broad today's going viral right now in the club in the club we all fam fam in the club we are family except people keep cutting off the last part like are you racist right no one's using that part of the audio which is the best part yes it's the punch line yes so because it's also ironic and then someone sent us from texas sent us some history on moms oh my god i already forgot minimums where i'm ready thank you abigail for sending this extensive email megan would you like to go into the don't blame me because it's long and we should split this yeah i went to a texas high school that was part of a small school district the prec pre-k oh i was like what the heck is prec i've only seen it with a dash in there yeah that's funny though the pre-k elementary

junior high etc were all the same block homecoming culture was district-wide because of the proximity the high schoolers would also host pep rallies for the other campuses so someone having a mom in pre-k wasn't unheard of but this isn't the case for larger school districts the word mom comes from chrysanthemum can't explain that one that one i that actually makes sense because it looks like i assumed it came from a chrysanthemum because also you call chrysanthemums usually mom and like those are a fall like flower that people would use to decorate um it's just like once you've gotten past the point of it slightly resembling chrysanthemum once you start throwing in camo and right jewels then i go i'm a little more confused to y'all's point mom started as a

while holding a hot glue gun however some parents would buy them for kids for their kids instead because they were time consuming especially for the seniors and there would be white take it away megan okay the mom shop the quote-unquote mom shop was seasonal and a part of our merch store it was run by three or so moms or alumni for the school i'm guessing the lady on tiktok sells custom school t-shirts tumblers the other months of the year okay side note that's also why i think because like we didn't do that ever like the only time you would ever get like custom stuff like that would be like for your sorority in college like i would you wouldn't even get like custom college merch but no we had it all the time i will but it wasn't moms moms i said moms as if

i was in british uh it wasn't moms that were doing we had like actual stores that did it yeah that's well i think that's a big school thing too yeah um and when you've like sports teams that like are good ours not as much um $800 an insane price considering it's mostly ribbons and you only wear them the day of the pep rally slash game day wow I've never heard of someone spending that much but if the market is there then get your bag I guess at my school the moms we paid for their work and materials but most of the money went back into the football team so another incentive to buy them for your kid oh so kind of like what's it called um booster booster club um not everyone would wear them it's kind of like how not everyone wears a school shirt

on game days but the people who do are cheerleaders athletes or their parents are alumni of the school i was in theater so it wasn't a huge thing but some people would get them with the fall show or masquerade masks on them oh my god themed to your interests even though not everyone would wear them they weirdly weren't something to make fun of this is this is the craziest part to me considering that it meant their parents either spent a lot of money or time on them they kind of look goofy in hindsight but it was a kind of thing to participate it was kind of a fun thing to participate in or to see like the painted senior jeans that melissa's talking about i hope this clear some of it up it's always funny to hear non-texans try and wrap their heads around

it hell i'm still trying to love the pod abby oh my god that's so funny yeah i i think like the not making fun of it and like i don't mean that in like a nasty way or whatever but it just feels like everyone either like wants to participate or you talk shit on you i mean like it's just like it doesn't like this whole thing of being like oh not for me and like that could be fine with i don't know low-rise jeans but like wearing like a truly a giant hobby lobby things thrown up on you and like hurting your back like you have to like to me that's just kind of like it's like wearing a and i don't mean it like this is the equivalent but in the sense of like it's like wearing a sign around your neck like it's like something that's like so

showing up in our requests are they wearing them in those pictures i thought they were just holding them up no more so they're wearing them i guess i that just they're wearing them so like you do like those like um wearable signs when you're advertising like come to the quiz notes and you like are standing outside like it's like wearing like a caution sign i think they have shoulder attack like i think because the whole thing that said like it used to be something you just like like a boutonniere you would pin on your shirt but now they're too heavy and so they attach them to the shoulders they have like a something they go over their shoulders and then to make sure that they lay nicely they attach them to their painted jeans interesting yeah how do you sit how do you

go to the bathroom because like that touches the floor that's disgusting maybe they take them all yeah there's a little uh hook in the bathroom like on the outside a little locker mom locker locker for your moms look look a little hook just stick out the wall like a coat hook or you put it on the one that's on the back of the door in the bathroom but i also just think of how many staples are in there and like the way that you get just unnecessarily poked and like all of the other aspects of it that's like and also especially i was glad to see that people use hot glue guns because at first in my sorority brain i went oh god please don't tell me they're using e6000 glue and they are keeping it near these children's heads like those fumes even once it's dried those

out of my algorithm in any type of way but then the daily mail on tiktok posted this and as much as i hate the daily mail they do send they do post good stuff on tiktok but then i saw it come up and i was like oh this is that girl that megan's always talking about um and then i watched it because i know nothing about her i know she scammed i don't know what she did to scam i don't know what i know that you've told me before i completely i'm again in in one it's not something that i care about so it's not staying in my brain um but um i didn't even know what she looked like how she sounded and i didn't until i uh she was done talking then i read the comments and it's like caroline calloway and i was like oh that's a girl

um what an idiot yeah so if anyone doesn't know the caroline calloway lore is like so deep i like can't even get into it it's truthfully one of my favorite pieces of internet lore because like it is there is so much that people are still like she's lying like there's so much like lies that have come about and it is the whole thing kind of boiled up with this article on the cut that was written by her friend who was like trying to like you know be like look how horrible and crazy caroline is which is true but the friend also does not look good and i have to say i'm obsessed with like we have with other card articles i'm obsessed with when people write articles talking about like i'm the victim here look how fucking horrible this is and i go that

is horrible you this is also fucking crazy so like it just became this like she's the rachel of to um anna delvey yes it's exactly like that where you're just like okay cool yeah but like why did we end up here girl like this is just like this feels like a lot um and and again like you still don't know how much is like either of them are telling or not i believe the other girl but you do not know how much at all she's telling the truth and it's so much like anna delvey in the sense that both caroline and this girl have sold the rights to their article and caroline sold the rights to her book and they're both trying to turn those into series and it's like competition very similar to rachel and anna delvey that's a very that's like actually a perfect comparison um

and uh but she is she it lives in florida she lives in sarasota and i think she lived in her grandma's condo and i think her grandma passed away and i think it's now just her and one of her cats and um she quite literally sells snake oil like you can buy she has it listed buy her snake oil most of the time she won't even send it to you well that's goes along with snake oil exactly so like it's very and like her book is called scammer like it's very self-right it's like that's why it's like pretty entertaining at a point um but uh she got on um her i think it was her instagram stories and basically said like you guys i'm not like leaving like i know we're in a i'm in i'm right on the coast like i'm in an evacuation evacuation zone a hurricane milton's

coming like a right right for me but like i'm not evacuating like the last time i evacuated like my mom and i i went to her house and like we didn't have power for like days and then the coast guard had to come like pick us up and like it was just like really like traumatizing and like it was not fun like i'm not doing that again and everybody's like first of all a lot of people don't even believe that that happened because they're like airline if that was a part you would never let us hear the end of it like we we would have heard this thousands of times um but then beyond that what do you mean it's not fun to be you're no shit yeah it's dying and then like or you die and so she's like been posting like pictures of um like the uh uh hurricane maps and stuff

and like oh my god i'm right here and then doing like make sure you buy my book it's gonna get even bigger when i die in this hurricane like she died doing what she loved and like she's going laying on so thick and a lot of people are like there's no way she's actually there there's no like she's like being earnest and serious with this i don't like i'm it's a huge toss-up to me that like i would i fully think it's totally believable that she would not be there because she just is and just making it about herself but at the same time i also believe that like she would make it about herself so deeply that she might stay so it is about herself like dude like it's just like the commitment to being the center of the attention um but oh she posted on her story

internet well he's probably not getting it to her so well that's the issue yeah like but yeah so um it's just like she's like doing these like photos like she's like sending these photos i just i just do not think i think she must have evacuated because like it's not likely where she was they were in the direct path right on the coast like in a condo she's not it was not gonna work like that and so yeah like making it about herself but the amount of people who messaged me and they were like i thought of you immediately i could see you playing this part in the movie and i went i know i'd be so good oh well yeah mindy kaling where's that at i think she's the one who's got the rights it wasn't ryan murphy no i don't think it was i think that's i think it was a bidding more between

ryan murphy mindy kaling and then i think i don't i think people thought reese witherspoon was interested but i don't think that was ever confirmed well an annoying girl in her 20s mindy's got this on well i was about to say like based on what mindy puts out yes she's got this fucking handled yeah she's got this handled ryan murphy might make her the hero and i don't think she is no yeah and yeah yeah this just made me excited because i didn't care before but i am a big mindy fan yes through good or bad i'm in i'm like 99 sure i hope i'm not wrong because yeah it was just mindy if you're around if it is you i am like so available for this but there's nothing i love more than someone who like is a pathological liar
