just love that my first introduction to this was they said how can we because i usually want to kind of quickly skip past a a tiktok shop video from like a creator that i don't recognize or like if it's not right off the bat something i'm like clearly interested in um but they knew that we have to feed this to her specifically because they could have fed me somebody that they could have fed me the dinosaur they could have fed me the uh cockroach but they said no alien that's how we're gonna get her because she's gonna send this to someone because she my algorithm knows that i send videos to one person from tiktok about aliens and i refuse to open it i will not let my feed get infested by this man and for me it's it's a it's a welcome addition

so the bone has been picked i feel good now that's what i i didn't think that's what you were mad about oh god what are you mad about i thought you were gonna be bad mad about me being a good woman and supporting my man and seeing his film sinners without you i'm actually thrilled that you did that because i it's actually imperative for me that everybody that i know personally go see the movie and then tell me about how scary it is and give me a rating you know i don't like scary movies so i was hoping that you would see it this weekend we could talk about it because my neighbors just went to see it and they like scary movies and i told them i was like the level of like what i can i can handle blood if it's camp i can't handle blood if it's

like medical it's not medical blood it's well i can't say unless you know what it's about do you know i know what it's about yes i don't know i didn't know i didn't know going in i'm unlike you i i have to do extensive research before you put me in a movie with loud noises it's vampire so it's not like bloody bloody yeah as long as like it's you like in in that kind of way versus like a realistic bloody way and i was like i knew if you were going to be able to see it i would be like okay specifically for the blood part i was going to see my man and no i mean also like i knew that was going to be a fantastic movie oh yeah the best acting he has ever done in his life i've heard um also hayley steinfeld best acting she's done because her character could have been

in the wrong hands could have been offensive best acting she's done the whole cast did a phenomenal job ryan coogler did a great job encompassing angles and lighting and music and sound and the editing like this is a well thought out film yeah i think we're gonna go see it our neighbors are seeing it for a second time because they like loved it so much and i forget what theater it is but it's one of the ones which it's the showing it on the 70 millimeter and so they were like yeah it's the universal theater then you should see it in 70 millimeter though yeah i've also been consuming um i looked up like the slate scaredy cat meter i've like looked up like everything like does the job i've literally to the point where i'm like actually i give me

the spoilers for when i need to be prepared there's not there's really there's that's what everyone says there's really not there really isn't you're you're fine yeah they're like none of it there's a couple jumps but that's it yeah and the jumps aren't even like i thought they were going to be like scary things and so i was bracing myself and it wasn't yeah that's what i heard truly isn't uh the girl next to me was being annoying as fuck very into the movie but um in what way making noises like she acted like it was like this sometimes she acted like it was the scariest thing that she's ever seen on the planet and i was like have you walked around outside because no but she was making a lot of noises sexual too when it was on sexual parts

oh no um and then after the movie she was like acting out some of the things that were happening and i was like and i couldn't tell how old she was she could have been 15 she could have been 28 this is really stressful and i was just like please stop i think she was an adult but she's very small like and i can say that as a small person a petite adult just doing way too much yes that's my worst nightmare but it was an incredible incredible incredible movie it really touched my soul um i was cheering internally because i have some decorum but um me and a few of the black people we all like made eye contact after just like let out like this deep breath it was like yeah it really did and they mentioned little rock several times oh wow

so um really hit home i've heard nothing but amazing things i saw an interviewer on um a red carpet who told ryan like this made me wish i like knew my ancestors and he was like like he was just like taken aback with like wow thank you and just reading the comments of like the way that people are um like specifically how they're saying it impacted them and like the like in in they're saying it in such a cinematic way that i'm like this movie must have been holy fucking shit good and specifically for people who are ryan coogler fans he doesn't make bad movies so then to like sing the praises of his movies like to a like a higher level than anything else and even like you can look at the rotten tomato score which i seldom ever uh agree

with because a lot of times um they they score things that are not great really really high or things that are good not as high but they've gotten like i would say slightly better with the audience score uh in recent the last two weeks last two movies that i looked up on there um but to know that like the bar he sets the bar so high and for it to be like surpassed i'm like i'm so excited because initially i was like okay i can just watch this at home no if it's and then i was like and i can't and like literally just from we watched an extended trailer and i was like you you gotta watch it if you can watch it in 70 i know there's only seven theaters across the world that is showing it in 70 millimeters if you can watch it 100

see it in that way and if not see it in imax and just like as a last resort see it on a regular screen but like i'm so excited it we've been just checking the show times all week to see when it's not so crowded yeah um i got i'm going i have to go back i have to go back i think that of all of his movies that i've seen in theaters i want to say i've seen creed creed one in theaters at least two times i saw black panther in theaters at least two times i think he is the only director where i like religiously have i don't think i've seen any of his movies that i've seen in theaters once like i'm like gotta go back run it back a second time yeah he also i just saw an interview with him saying that uh he wants to a football project

which i was like that would be of course he played football he did he when i looked up where he went to like saint mary like he went to like some random fucking school and then they like got rid of their program and then he like transferred but at first i was like what my god tiny little school playing football and i was like that's gotta well it also reminds me of if he did something in a horror space did you watch the trailer for the new what is it not him what did you just ask me i didn't because the words didn't come out all the way but what was the first thing that you said did you watch the trailer no of course you didn't have you heard about the new jordan peele movie i was like mots you gotta watch the trailer he watched it and i was like

i fear this is gonna be your favorite movie football and spooky yuki yeah and marlon wayans i was like god damn it god back to ryan so he was up for the new blade movie that marvel's doing which pisses me off because blade is a vampire hunter and like it also has stalled mahershala lee's career for the last few years because he's been attached to this movie and they keep delaying it delaying it delaying it delaying it they've delayed it at least four times i believe and now it's just like on the back burner because they can't get the script right and i'm like ryan could have got it right y'all passed him up for that yeah and that pisses me off but i'm sure a lot of his research helped him with this with this film and we probably got a better film didn't

maher shalali drop out now well now it's at the point where it's just on the back burner so they're probably not even gonna make it so he hasn't like said he's dropped out but it's at the point where it's probably not going to be made anyway mods was so excited for this blame is so kick-ass yeah yeah and yeah that's frustrating this i think is like yeah you get to use all that research and now it gets to be like look how much money this is making marvel i did see some someone report being like is ryan coogler of course how they phrase this is ryan coogler gonna destroy the studio system because he said he wanted to be paid on whatever all of this kind of stuff and i was like that's how quentin tarantino does it

like that's how all these other tarantino isn't dga he went five core and so quinn tarantino does it because he's able to and and uh coogler is fighting the system i did not know he went five that makes a lot of fucking sense like years ago i want to say yeah no it makes based on how i yeah he's on the list like the blacklist with the dga that has like three people i think and i think he's also five core for wga as well but i know for a fact dga that makes a lot of sense so if you don't know what five core is it's when you go against what the guild does and you you are no longer part of the guild uh the director's guild the writer's guild um and you just do your own thing but he does fairly compensate his if you're going to do it

do it right he fairly compensates everybody that he works with he just doesn't like being part of the rules yeah which again now that you say it it it really checks out like that makes a lot of sense i shouldn't have been surprised um yeah that okay yeah well because i was thinking about it in the way that of being like this is not an obscene ask and it's also like not unheard of of asks at all his imdb but like specifically even if you pull up like what studios care about is like your rotten tomatoes and like how you do in the box office when you pull up his track record it's incomparable nobody else has that nobody else has like that few credits that by the way everybody knows by name everybody knows all of his credits by name and they have made so much

fucking money at the box office and they have been so incredibly highly rated from critics and audiences so it's like you can't really fucking argue with that because you can't like he has a bajillion likes to stand on like he has all of this evidence for that so then to just be like no we don't think you deserve that i'm like okay these studios you don't have this track record at all you have like a flop after a flop after a flop and he he has never made a bad movie i can't wait to see it how long was it so good i think two hours okay did you see it during the daytime or nighttime i saw it at 3 30 p.m okay so still light out when you got out yeah that's my plan i need to see it during the day

what do you do this weekend i i'm not gonna say i can't claim all the credit because um mostly i didn't do any of that part um moths installed we installed like drip lines so we had had one for like our garden in our yard and our neighbors who besides you are the only people i talked to um they have like a really great system and like it looks really good and so i they invited me over the other day to like come look at it and i was like we got it we got to do that yeah and so we finally installed the drip lines into the planter boxes to like start watering them and like have that go a little bit better and then we did ones on the perimeter of the um like property and then we have to like

finish the other half of it but that was like the vast majority of it and then i did i self-tape for something i did not book because it did shoot today um and uh it was a turnaround two lines okay was it two no two lines and um i assume somebody dropped out they had and i appreciate that they like wanted to see me for it it was for a younger version of someone who i i don't look like and if i was going to look more like them the only thing that looks like similar is like we have similar we don't have similar coloring but like we have like dyed blonde hair that i was like if i get this i'm gonna have to re-dye i'm gonna have to get highlights like stacked to like match it but other than that we look nothing alike and so i'm like

this is just you're casting a very wide net because you are very desperate but yeah i didn't book it obviously because today and again two lines like a young version of her for two lines i didn't know they were still making that show samantha played a young version of tracy ellis ross and i was like you look nothing alike and it was for two lines i would say the nose to me there is also they don't have if you don't have like a core feature right but in between your eyes and your nose even if your mouth is the same i think if your eyes and either one of your eyes or nose has to match and they don't have either match they don't look like at all no and it was for um uh mixed-ish and so there is like a young version of her and i do

think that girl on there looked like her like tracy ellis ross and then samantha was playing the 20 year old version and then um you know then tracy ellis ross was playing the adult version of course what anything else i ordered my cowboy hat for the concert nice and mine too are you picking it up or is it getting delivered picking it up which one do you go with pink the lighter pink one the house of rhinestones so i am picking it up tomorrow after we record oh perfect maybe i'll do today i don't know i got too many edits to do yeah yeah and now i told months that this weekend he was like let's finish like doing the drip line and i was like we have to go shopping to make sure i have everything i need for my outfit i need accessories i kind i kind of could

go for like a new top to go with it or like something but i just need i need i need something i need to feel a little more confident in my outfit that i have because i also have to wait for my i like don't know when my cowboy hat's gonna get here i'm a little stressed about that but other than that i just i could not be more fucking excited me too it's gonna be a very outside week that's no i know like we're gonna be more i i'm gonna be more outside than i've been outside of these four walls of my backyard yeah yeah i um i also buy so i went to get measured for tailoring on saturday and so he like you know pinned everything up and he's like when do you need it one week or two week and i was like two weeks is fine like i just need it before um saturday and

he said okay or not this saturday but next saturday and he said okay i had a text message tuesday morning and he said was it too it might have been monday he said i'm right i'm done you can come pick it up that wasn't he's not i went in like 20 minutes before he closed on saturday he's not open on sundays he didn't even have a full business day did he know it was for cowboy carter did he say did you tell him that i maybe i had my i had i mean the way it looked and i brought my boots i'm sure that him or the young lady that was working with him yeah he said i gotta help this diva i can't i can't let her be stressing and sweating it's like that time that i um when i was trying to get uh in for like a last minute uh cardiologist appointment before

taylor swift concert and i said i'm going away for my birthday on august 4th and i have like a thing that i'm going to i really feel like i need beta blockers for it and the nurse practitioner who read the email said i had like like a out of town emergency and got me in for this appointment my doctor was like so what's that on emergency and i was like god bless your nurse practitioner who decoded that i was going to a taylor swift concert and said this is an emergency get this girl some beta blockers that's how this was i'm sure this man was like she's going to cowboy carter i need i don't i don't want her to stress yeah so i had him him the skirt up like three inches and then the top two come came up because like i told you it was at my waist when it's

supposed to be a crop top and so he took it up he took it up and then he also in the arm part so we'll see i'm sure he did a phenomenal job because like his reviews on yelp are incredible so except for they're like he's rude and i was like okay who cares as long as the service is great like the service that he does is great i feel like some people have excuses for being rude especially when you work in the textile industry i low-key kind of prefer when those people are rude like i i do like a bitch in fashion like i and i want to i want to capital b bitch i want like you are a bitch not like yeah go bitch no i want yeah damn that was that that i was i need you to be a little bit bitchy because also like to me bitchy is in that instance it equals like

confidence and i need you to be like secure in like your taste your preference your style and your work because like you are the expert and i gotta trust you if you're like passive and very kind i'm like no i need you to tell me that this looks bad and we need to fix it yep i like that maybe that's who i'll go to to uh get my um the uh the wedding dress i thrifted uh yeah i think he would do a great job and he's fast okay that's remarkable i saw a tiktok of someone who said the best cookies in los angeles yes have you gone she started out during the pandemic making stuff like cottagecore making it not cottagecore cottage law i mean i guess it is kind of i mean it is cottagecore yeah she was making it in her home and then like selling it

on instagram and then she finally uh not finally she it was so successful a few months ago she opened up her bakery just a few months ago yeah uh addicted i need to oh there's always a line like she sells out really fast or either put one on hold on the website i am so happy for her i i don't wait months yeah so mostly because my legs she does a um the croissant cookie where it's a cookie baked inside of a croissant which i've done and it's incredible but she Go her. after and get massaged and then i'll be ready okay one event last 15 you know what honestly maybe it's like to get on our level because amongst our group we've got a is it a bad back bad knees and then my bad standing up too long yep yeah so you don't actually also has bad feet she'll be pre-partying but i i still get on our level i feel like i'm not okay so i run every day but i do four times a day like i do my event four times and i'm not sore anymore so i don't think i would be sore it's less about you being sore from that specifically but more you being sore from the fact that you you aren't you are club another club party bus like you are going so fucking i'm gonna go to the spa immediately after and then and i'm gonna get massaged and then be in

all the different rooms so i'm gonna like do the freezer and also the sauna and also the emperor i think i'm gonna be fine okay i just want everybody to know that in this schedule the finale is fucking cowboy carter yeah i'm also going to the baseball game on saturday too melissa you're you have to get a pedometer like you're about to have a bajillion steps oh yeah she's got the ipad on her wrist yeah you are ambitious and i and i love that for you and you know what i actually reframing this to you are you're you're putting yourself on our level you you're saying i'm with these bitches in their in their broken bodies yeah let me break my body a little bit so i can i can understand

the way that that there is something fundamentally wrong with those people because like what do you mean you're sticking your tongue out in public and touching things that licking a wall are communal that's disgusting that is so fucking to i just think if more people knew about like asbestos and like the fact that like up until i don't know like in people who are like in like the last like effort for however many fucking years they used to use asbestos for fake snow in movies and like this whole thing of like everything is safe i'm like no no no no and also again we live in l.a you could be there could be lead paint still some places like you put your tongue back in your mouth yeah that is disgusting yeah

didn't know it this whole time no that was crazy i like have so much respect for dan vogelman um but i know for me i'm just not someone who the tv shows and the movies that are made to that like you're gonna cry every week you yeah you have a scheduled cry some people like need that cathartic release and they love that i don't have that bone in my body see i have that about gray's anatomy i did because i can't tell you the last time i cried over that show um because they don't bitches are pissing me off they're not investing in the side stories like they used to yeah that makes sense then and they're not killing off main characters like they used to they used to somebody was leaving the show dead nobody was safe yeah and now there's been several

people that have left and they left intact hey you know maybe maybe they know at this time and age that they're like we're gonna lose some that we didn't necessarily mean to lose some of them might slip down the alt-right pipe we got to keep the options open no that's not it because there's so many actors on this show like okay they have like as many actors as general hospital has actors there's so much of the main cast it's like 20 people they don't need that and they'll find somebody else everybody loves to be on this show they're just getting soft yeah toughen up exactly um so but it was different in that this is very family focus oriented where i don't want to cry over this is us because it might feel too close to home well it's the same people going through

the trauma over and over and over again yes gray's anatomy a lot of the stuff was so ridiculous that i knew that it would never happen to me so it i felt a distance with it this is us it could be very relatable well and like this is us like compounds of being like you mean to tell me after they've gone now they have this like i there are some characters where like their suffering is so relentless that it pisses me off yeah that like i cannot i cannot deal with it i can't deal with tragic characters no ongoing basis no the only show that i that like i would say that had but i think it's probably like has a bit more levity to it which i will sing the praises of the show uh parenthood left and right but that they must have nothing's had happened for the

first like three seasons i thought it was a comedy we all did we were watching it going love this so fun and then suddenly it was like shit got fucking real and then i was hooked so i had to keep watching and i'm just sobbing i saw those when the commercials took a turn on nbc and they had that real serious man instead of the funny man doing the commercials i said and it's a phenomenal show but they they did trick me they tricked me into watching it pretty much everybody on there was a comedic actor dax shepherd that man's not even a comedic actor he's just punked like he's he's just like a he's he's a man with the podcast like what do you mean what do you mean oh god it was just and it's so good

yeah and it's deep it's just so fucking good i didn't i caught up on my soap opera sorry i just i haven't been in the mind you've been busy for this paradise yet so once i get there i'll get there i can't wait for you to get there and then i can't wait for you to get to to finish that and and get to gross point garden society which i am i am loving asia and i'm she is a star she's a fucking star they have jake on i sent you how he has said when your friend gets you a job yeah they're literally best friends and like the way they have slipped into their role like there's a couple times where i'm just like michaela is shining through her like it is so she is just so fucking good and she's got this she's got this little bob the shiniest little bob ever and she

she walks like she has a bob do it like it's fucking it's it's swish and incest it's so fucking good and she's just phenomenal and like everybody in it is like great and it's entertaining and it's so fucking so fucking campy and dramatic but it's so fun i hope it gets renewed um i would recommend i feel like i should be watching that i was just about to say i would actually maybe watch that first and i would encourage anyone listening to this if you're like oh i'll get around to it it's the the the there are still episodes coming out because it's network so it comes out weekly and you don't have to watch it on the network it's on if you don't have cable but if you can watch it on like uh what is it peacock hulu i forget whichever whatever one is whatever

streaming yeah on peacock watching it mbc show right yes yeah so watching it while new episodes are still coming out watching it on streaming that helps that helps it get renewed you don't have to watch it on like it's oh 8 p.m on whatever night on mbc you can watch it while it's like still they're releasing new episodes on streaming and that will help it get renewed so please everybody because i i love camp on tv and like we need more of it like scream queens got canceled there's so many times where like there have been shows that i'm like oh my god this would have been like so good or even shows that are like kind of have like meta bits don't trust trust the bitch in apartment 23 like fun that you're like this is what tv is missing and i need this to

get fucking renewed for another season yeah and like if it attracts anybody it gives me like if well i don't it's like shonda meets ryan murphy scream queens like campy era like not american horror story no it's not like anything like that but it's just like a like it's like it's kind of desperate housewivesy too but it reminds me it reminds me a good bit of a shonda show just like in the sense of even the cinematography like there's like a really fun thing which is this isn't a spoiler but like they go back and forth between timelines and time periods and they they have like it's a different coloring so the stuff that

is in the future is like more of like a cold blue color but every time to give you a time stamp they somewhere like in a practical way have it written how many months later it is but it'll be like someone's delivering pizza and you walk you're following the pizza box and then they open the pizza and like on the receipt it says six months later and like someone has like a dry cleaning receipt and it's like hat says that and it happens in everything there's like you know like it's on a pillow and like i just like i love those like little tidbits and things that make tv you know like exciting to follow those like little bits and those fun like not just a plot point it's like an actual artistic choice which i love the um ep is a child a ryan murphy

okay person they worked on scream queens american horror stories uh american sports stories so yeah i'm i can clock it i'm pretty good at i can i can usually i can tell when somebody's a uh shondaland person so i get it so it's it's it's just really good it's just really good and it's it's still really interesting melissa femero is in it too yes and she plays the exact opposite of amy and she's having so much fun and like it's so fun she's great in it i i really really like it i think you should yeah you should watch that one next and it's also 12 episodes i think i'm we might have oh hold on and then the uh the creator is a shondaland person they were on private practice grace anatomy off the map

scandal so yeah i fucking knew it everybody and desperate housewives too watch it watch it god i love when i'm good like this so the uh that the ep i named first was the is the showrunner and the main director and then the creator, head writer is the chandelier person. And you can tell. It's

got that easability of watch that nothing takes you out of it. You're just guessing about things and you're wondering what's going to happen and you're like, oh, maybe it's this, maybe it's this. And you're not like, that makes no sense. All of the campy choices are

it consistent like i can't stand when something like does something off the wall and then you never do it like we never circle back there's like nothing to it and i feel like they both they and like shonda shows to me what she nails more than anything is pacing and this is like perfectly paced especially for something that is also able to be campy incredible oh my god yay yay well i wonder how you're gonna have time to watch it considering i know work got so much to do it's gonna be a week starting on saturday sleep no sleep bus i don't know the order honestly you can make up your own order because i think the de gago would be like she understands the essence yeah but i also

have to sleep so no you do are you gonna you're keeping your schedule uh yeah for the most part like today i did wake up at four but then i went back to sleep because i was too tired so i didn't get up to seven so i haven't worked out yet um but i've already reviewed don't blame me for tomorrow and i already did the rough syncing of everything for unhinged and immoral so after we are doing recording i'll do my workout and then go impressive and i gotta clean when i get home too for you tomorrow you really don't have to clean no i really do okay i understand i understand um oh i can't wait to have lunch i made chicken and rice for dinner last night night before last and i have leftovers i would like to also give a shout out to um
