Don't Blame Me! - FF: RIP Diane Keaton and D'angelo

Episode Date: October 17, 2025

Meghan and Melisa delve into the surprising amounts of rain in LA and then take a dark turn speculating about the terrifying possibilities of the Final Destination films. They get nostalgic for the... days when Disney had famous artists record their own versions of movie songs, sharing why they want that trend to make a major comeback. On a more sad note, they chat about their unexpected sadness over the news involving Diane Keaton and D'angelo, and express their mutual frustration with the rising tide of "clip farming" online. They discuss if meases mentioned in the Bible, another update on Meghan's latest injury (surprise!), and a discussion about the beauty of trees changing color. Finally, they look ahead: Meghan wants to go see T-Pain live, and Melisa shares her excitement about joining an alumnae chapter of her sorority. Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:58 tell you about my poops today no whoo i we did our it was soup season except it's not it was soup season for 48 hours yeah but that's all i want to eat right now is soup that's all i want to eat and that's been from the last week well i had birria and then i was like now i just want yeah meat soup yeah period is meat soup it is and we had like the craziest weather yesterday it was so nice though oh my god it was lovely yes it was lovely though i will say um i'm not i'm not back into my like winter fall routines so it was trash day so of course i did leave all of the bins open to collect um about four inches of rainwater that i had to dump out yeah it was also trash day for me on monday and it started raining monday night and
Starting point is 00:01:51 i'm like i'm not going out there to bring them back in now so yeah maybe somebody i haven't looked outside maybe somebody brought it for me because i haven't gone that's like the great thing about like good neighbors is for me what i didn't even realize i was like my trash can's like mysteriously just like ended up back here one of my neighbors is like oh yeah like what like he's he's a man and he was like oh if i see if yours are still here i'll just do it for you and i was like oh my god that's what usually happens i haven't i've moved my trash cans in in the last year maybe three or four times i love that princess treatment and i don't know who's doing it it's a silent benefactor and that's what you love yeah so yeah we had tortilla soup we made
Starting point is 00:02:32 for and we planned ahead because it you know with with the new with by crazy weather it was raining a lot like well all day my power went out for a little bit too Melissa I got a shelter in place notice I got a flood notice not a shelter in place I was like shelter in place first of all if it's flooding shouldn't I not shelter in place like shouldn't I because I'm like we're like our specific house we're fine yeah but like the area they're saying like in general like okay flash floods be worried about this I think they just don't want people on the road driving 100% that's not the place I would go there are so many sirens going off yesterday uh mods works from home yesterday which was lovely that's my favorite thing about when it rains in la saying it's
Starting point is 00:03:12 raining is a part like that is a legitimate work excuse to be like i can't i can't go into work i'm gonna have to work from home today everyone's like of course you are it's raining no one's gonna be in the office um but uh now we're we had like literally 24 hours of it and now we're back and it's supposed to be like 80 again this week what what so that makes me a little a little sad i was like looking to get cozy i finally finished decorating inside for fall and it was like so cute a large majority of our decorations did blow away outside i was smart enough to take because it was raining i was like why it was it was i was smart enough on monday to i was like filming i was like vlogging and i'm sitting on my couch and like looking out through one of the windows and that
Starting point is 00:04:04 window i can like see the roof and i was like what the fuck is on the roof moving it's one of the goddamn fucking witch's hats that we have decorated that has flung itself all the way up but it's still like attached no it didn't say it was still attached to like the bottom part but it had just fully flipped because it's on a string and it fully flipped there and i'm just hearing this like whipping sound like a crap like it's like and i was like what the fuck is that big thing on the roof and so then i had to brave the winds and unfasten them and bring them inside because also the sheer the sheer strength of the wind was pulling them so hard it was turning on their lights would you literally have to pull like a whole tuggy thing to turn the lights on
Starting point is 00:04:46 it was going so far it was actually halloween that would be so cool i know they were just like swinging everywhere but i was so afraid my biggest fear is like one of them flying off and then like getting on a car and then crashing their car but destination halloween edition it's final destination i guess i think all horror movies are like set at halloween yeah i think they're just regular because it's supposed to be like never seen one mind you no of course i reference it all the time i've never seen one yeah but i feel like it's things that just happen in regular life oh that's terrifying because like the log thing is just you know what i'm talking about of course i do they're just driving down the road and then not on halloween it's i don't think it's
Starting point is 00:05:30 halloween do you think final destination stuff happens like in the summer you're like not even safe in the summer from final destination it's final destination like a compilation movie i think so i think there's different storylines going on within it do you think again never this is us just speculating but i think it's just a lot of different people but i do know actually that yes i do know that one of the later ones might have been the last one it ends where one of the other ones starts oh they're they're messing with the space time continuum they're they're changing up the timeline that's fun i like when they do that where you're like it's like when the new avenger movies come out and you go okay now where do i place this in
Starting point is 00:06:13 the order oh okay this makes sense yeah because i know it was like people on a plane and then they see somebody coming in this is all just clips i've seen i don't know if somebody made may have made up stories i do look in comments and people do sometimes just make up stories to be funny and you only know it because you have watched it and you know that they're making up i'm not in on the joke yeah i'm going oh ah not yeah yeah so they could have been lying but i think that's what the twist is that's fun if you know write in let us know the confidence in which i will speak about two horror movies that two horror movie franchises that i've never seen nothing is comparable to my confidence discussing final destination and the purge i reference them
Starting point is 00:06:59 all the time yeah the purge is i don't think that takes place on halloween either it's just a day thought it does i thought it was either the day before halloween or day after halloween it's before it's still not halloween no but it's still like spooky season when does because i have to say if any of these if i'm getting like chased through the fucking woods by like someone with a mask trying to kill me and it's august and i'm sweating that's i have so much less will to live it happens on march 21st oh my god you're never safe yeah you are never confident about that one so i have to check it out wow imagine a beautiful spring day nope psych it's a fucking purge yeah but they know it's coming oh yeah they do that like the things like it's a specific i knew that it was
Starting point is 00:07:40 a specific day of the year it's only for 12 hours oh okay i don't act so confident about you getting through actually i i would just go to wherever you are because i think that's where we'd be fine during the purge yeah that's that's where i would go but i this is how you know concept wise very strong movie concepts because i i think of them i reference them say groundhog day i've never seen it but now it's just a groundhog day i feel like if you've seen the first 10 minutes you've seen the rest of the movie because everything also like the fact that it is inspired it is like become like an adjective it's become something to describe something else that i'm just like i've i've seen christmas movies that use the same tropes of groundhog day so therefore
Starting point is 00:08:23 i have seen groundhog day yes i always think of that groundhog song that that guy sang on tiktok punk satani phil you've seen it melissa what how's the song beautiful well i can't i can't do it service so i don't even want to try you told me you could sing still waiting on to hear that i said i can carry a tune punk satani phil what's the singer okay his name is i'm assuming his name's oliver because his username is olive but he's like does like a song a day and he's like very like song time ask like he's doing like it's musical theater kind of stuff that he's writing his own songs and some of them will like blow up massively huge and the one about the groundhog seeing his shadow because punks are only filled there's like this legend or this yeah legend lore
Starting point is 00:09:11 that they like give him this elixir that makes him like live forever and all of that kind of shit um and so he made a song about it and it was so good and it blew up that you know my favorite broadway girl which again i i've been a day one i didn't even know she's a broadway girl just saw her what are those dance classes joy woods she she did like a stitch just like singing along like being like the the groundhogs punxsutawney phil's wife phyllis singing her part and it blew up even more that they recorded an official version of the song like together and it is so absolutely beautiful let me find it for you do you want her version or just his whatever one that you say that i've heard because i don't think i have okay well this one's the more popular one
Starting point is 00:09:56 I think it'll be good this seems like something that I even though I do love but I said we're good you can stop never heard it even though I do love a musical I feel like I would have immediately scrolled away from this
Starting point is 00:10:27 if it came across my timeline. Never heard it ever. I do think my introduction to this was actually, in fact, Joy Woods' stitch of it, because I follow her and I love everything she does. But this was there. She did it together. Very Disney, not Disney Channel, Disney movies. in the 90s but not what's in the actual movie but the the better version that they do out that they
Starting point is 00:11:03 would do outside the released album oh my gosh that was that was a time did you ever see the one where they had um who was it it was like a bunch of disney kids covering something and jordan fisher's there and jordan fisher is dominating everybody i would just have slowly backed away being like you know my it's yeah but i'm not i'm i'm talking about they would have like celine dion doing that or like christina aguilera was doing the mulan one so beautiful yeah well hey it's a high compliment yeah they should bring that shit back instead of now this is music no instead instead of making all these quote-unquote live action when most of them still have cgi in them quote-unquote live action they should go back to just having those celebrities because
Starting point is 00:11:57 what they're doing with the quote-unquote live actions is hiring people that aren't necessarily voice actors to do these roles hire voice actors but then have the celebrities come back in and do the other versions of the songs the way i could have give me adele singing when you wish upon a star yeah i want brandy in there actually you know what i actually really just fucking want i want brandy cinderella on goddamn fucking i don't even care if it's on cd i don't care if it's on cassette i will buy an apparatus to play the goddamn fucking the way that it's nowhere i think it's roger and hammerson that they're keeping it back which i didn't realize that it was huh that's what you think yeah and i didn't realize how old this version of cinderella
Starting point is 00:12:46 it is like i was watching a clip from the one in it was in black and white it's okay that's even older than i thought yes i was like yeah i'm pretty sure it's the original music from broadway no i wasn't thinking black and white no no it was um the lady that i believe that's who it was that is in greece that's at the that's with the boys in the auto shop i trust you and your when she was young wow yeah that's older than i thought yeah when i tried to like put it on my nephew's playlist because i was like he'll love this he loves a good musical and also i hate the fucking musicals he likes so i'm just trying to like make them better um but when i looked and it was just like all they had was the original cast recording for broadway and i was
Starting point is 00:13:39 like wait you mean to tell me that there is there's a studio in los angeles that is sitting on hard copies of whitney houston singing these and we've just dust is collecting yeah i don't even think anyone's even ripped it so you're probably right it has to be a litigious thing because like i'm sure people have tried and i've uploaded it and it's gotten taken down immediately so the 1957 version okay julie andrews is cinderella okay so this is where i start panicking about people who have been old my entire life realizing that like they're old in fact is getting older and they will eventually die because i mean she's 90 right now they are making they need to hurry the fuck up the start they're they've i have this i don't think they've started
Starting point is 00:14:32 filming because anna hathaway's doing uh right now no i need them to i need them to start fucking expeditiously i was good it i might start crying no i burst and i i might start crying again i was good to see that an icon that i've talked about in depth oh yeah diane keaton who you know i've really been deep diving into her her newer things in the last few months she just felt immortal i was not even thinking about her it wasn't even a possibility like it wasn't even if i gave like the 10 celebrities i'm concerned about for the next five years she wasn't even on there no i like fully thought it was not true moth showed me and he was like oh my god and he shows me a picture and it was like one of those like you know variety posted and i was
Starting point is 00:15:25 like there's no there's no way there's no way she's 60 there's no way there's genuinely no way was she hit by a car like i was i like could not wrap my head around it burst into tears i was like she's been so actively doing things and i was like it's not even like oh she has been gone for an extended period of time that it's like oh how like she kept it so so wildly under wraps and I yeah like and I oh my god and I think about like I love her and I've loved her forever that I got as soon as I posted I got hundreds of messages people being like as soon as I heard the news I thought of you and I was like well I'm glad everybody knows how much like I I love her but like thinking and I can't even say what specific movie but as we go into the holiday
Starting point is 00:16:10 season thinking about one specific movie that she's in I'm I don't know if I'm able to watch this year like i have no idea if i'm gonna be able to do that and i don't know if i've ever shared it here i feel like i have but one of my favorite la moments i've made it was yeah pulling up in a car next door i was like who's in that gorgeous g-wagon who's got those elbow length leather driving gloves who's wearing a turtleneck and a scarf and a hat and sunglasses in this you know street legal but like you know darkly tinted black g-wagon pull up next door red light it's Diane motherfucking Keaton wow and I also just learned that that one of the um women on SNL the redhead uh Padilla Ashley Padilla she was Diane Keaton's assistant for like years
Starting point is 00:17:01 and like they were very close and so she had like posted some it ended up on my on my home feed and I was like whoa I didn't know that like did Diane Keaton like recently guest ho because like she's a newer snl cast member and i was like did she recently host and then saw that like she was her assistant for like years and they were like really really close and she was like so just yeah like just so big and pushing her to like do snl and all of that stuff i was like wait that's like wow wild and that makes me sad so rest in peace to an icon i think um we should do what am i watching with that heist movie with her and queen latifah and like let's do it after in like november i love that well so i had that and then i was i was in control about this and then
Starting point is 00:17:53 i did not hear from moths about another passing yesterday and so i'm like i guess i have to i have to assume he doesn't know so i have to bring it up yeah and i brought it up he had no idea so of course last night what did we do we ate our tortilla soup while watching all of d'angelo's music videos very very sexy yeah i also was shocked by that too didn't know but also his son with angie stone she just died this year too so i'm like their son i'm so fucking tough yeah so so so tough her death was very unexpected both of them were like relatively sudden yeah he had been you know battling cancer but you know he had a little yeah yeah it's just all sad so fucking sad i just you know it's it's why we just like view these people that like as immortal
Starting point is 00:18:53 and then some other people who seemingly are immortal and i'm like okay well if if i had a magic wand there would have been a bubble around diane keaton and i would have popped bubble around somebody else yikes wayfair's labor day clearance is on now right now at wayfair you can get up to 70 off everything home shop wayfair's labor day clearance now through september 7th at wayfair.ca wayfair every style every home my new hobby has been stripping our front door of paint yes and you put skin picking instead of skin picking whatever and i was just reading the comment on tiktok and saw the motion and i was about to send it to you but then i was like no that is me i laughed so hard at that because i
Starting point is 00:19:50 was like this is the epitome of something that you would set like if you saw this you would send it me and in your defense i am wearing a mask like but i wasn't i fully wasn't even looking at you i just saw the emotion of what was being done that was most important was the text and the motion of the peeling the paint i was just a background character and then when i looked at the person i was like oh well well she knows because this is her but we got my other like caption that i wanted to post but i'm like i don't want to get in the tiktok jail was sorry y'all turns out the second amendment only applies to me and my heat guys because i was like well i don't i don't want to i don't want to get in tiktok jail yeah yeah that one that's a good
Starting point is 00:20:33 caption i know just surprisingly i think it would have worked fine on instagram that's what melissa that's exactly my thought process i had i was like okay i i know i'll be fine on instagram tiktok no like and i was like oh i was even gonna use a gun emoji which i was like is that gonna make it worse like am i gonna say a pew pew wildest things that i see on instagram i'm like how is this on the internet and facebook used to be such a insular thing and the way that it has changed in the last few years people are basically fucking on instagram reels yeah instagram reels is like a really dark scary place yeah i'm glad that i've finally gotten the super sexual stuff that i was you know in i it was like i saw this so somebody else has to see it and you get mad at
Starting point is 00:21:22 me um and unfortunately then it keeps it on your fucking feed yeah but it's finally moved on now speaking of that lady with her crazy eyes and the bread ended up back on my for you page and i was like i thought i blocked her she was remember the one who like licks her lips as she like throws her loaf of bread down gross i only saw her because of you yeah it was awful and she came back and i was like did you make a new fucking account like there's also so many maybe was it her actual account one of the because there's so many people are i'll look and i'm like i'm following this this person and then i look and i'm like that's not even a username that's just a bunch of letters together this is a fake count i'm so sick of people these farming clip forums well i'm also
Starting point is 00:22:10 wondering like i i love amy poehler i didn't know the poll that amy poehler's podcast would have with this shit because like there are people impersonating producers who are scamming like real like real people and influencers to be on the podcast and more and you're right more than any other account that i have seen that has fake accounts posting clips it's her podcast and I'm like that must be stressful to be on team Amy Poehler but also like deeply flattering yeah yeah I know somebody that he would like for you when YouTube there was like a spike at a time where this was happening a lot on YouTube and like his whole company was just taking that shit down and so I wonder if he's moved into TikTok now he became like a millionaire over the like yeah
Starting point is 00:22:56 in like six months because of that shit it and like youtube now has a system where it will like automatically detect what percentage of your like video is being used in other people's stuff and like i will like like sometimes go and check it most of the time it's like not recent accounts or like old shit the only uh one that like still regularly does it is my like anxiety video and the i will copyright strike some of them if it's like they just like literally have ripped it but i won't do it if it's dubbed because people have dubbed it in other languages and i'm like well i can't yeah i think you've changed this enough that like if someone's it's not taking away any views from my like do you know what i mean they wouldn't have understood
Starting point is 00:23:44 what you were saying exactly exactly so i have no issue with that but yeah i don't understand like at least i miss the era of like at least go back to like reading reddit posts while like having like fortnite minecraft like like compilations in the background or like slime like i'd at least prefer that i saw a video where somebody was just legitimately making one of those videos where it looked like it should have had a reddit post like they were just creating something and then people in the comments were like well was i supposed to read a reddit post to myself during this i just love it we're all having the same fucking experience online this is this is wild it is it's it's insane i do wonder what god i just feel like i'm like tiktok is just
Starting point is 00:24:32 gonna turn into like the turning point usa super bowl halftime show which is fake what's fake the halftime show posters that are going around oh i haven't seen anyone who they put on it like rock yes headlining um but then at the end it also says featuring measles and people think the people that are like reposting it because they're like yeah they think that i guess that's a band or something or they're not even reading it yeah but wow are measles in the bible i don't think so plague is in the bible right but plague is just like an overarching it's like the result like leprosy is a big one in the bible oh like by name is that the word where leper comes from yes cool i love learning new things yep somebody that has leprosy was called a leper and then
Starting point is 00:25:29 it became like in just right like if someone's being cast off yeah so i don't think people use that anymore no i remember it's a very outdated term yeah i mean it's been outdated because leprosy is it was leprosy in the little princess i don't know something i think the word leopard like i my memory of learning about that word because at first i was like leopard and i was like no no not leopard when i thought of leprosy i was just thinking of somebody that the spots is that what leprosy looks like oh could be i'm gonna tell you right now that's what i still think leprosy looks like i don't know never looked it up don't want to probably oozing yeah i don't love I don't love to look up those things no oh speaking of things that happen so I am clumsy
Starting point is 00:26:16 you know this I mean our audience knows this you know this better than other people because we see each other in person all the time so like you see it you see it in real life and I know that it sounds like I'm lying because I'm not but I do take like a calculated risk like there are things where I'm like this might be like this is gonna end up poorly or this might end up poorly but like let me just try like there are sometimes I really don't think at all but like oftentimes i would say my biggest growth in this factor is that like i think about the stupid thing before i do it and then i go well yeah i was right like that was in fact stupid but i recently had uh an event that happened that i didn't know there was any risk involved to the point where i
Starting point is 00:26:57 was so confused and i was like there's no how the hell did this happen wasn't even crossed my mind that this was a possibility that i was risking so our shower was not draining quickly it was getting backed up and i that have to do with the toilet too no is the toilet fixed the toilet is fixed uh the worst part is the toilet did in fact fix itself by the time mod sat in traffic for an hour and a half you know yeah it was a pressure issue and like it was still like happening a little bit but like it just had to release the from when it turned off yep yeah that was when we were recording the last podcast if it felt it was a little bit jumpy um uh la water power replaced our meter and it didn't in fact result in our bathroom one of our toilets having an issue
Starting point is 00:27:44 that i had to literally get up and jack every 10 minutes but our shower drain was not draining quickly and i'd ask mods because like i have an issue with wet mess like i have an issue with like wet food in a sink like i i really can't do that and i used to literally wear shower shoes in my own house like as a kid growing up because like i hate the feeling of my feet on like a shower floor but i also will say i hate the feeling of shower shoes it's like it is a lose lose i think the shower shoes are worse because it's encompassing your whole foot and then it's wet it's still wet it's just you're not slipping uh-huh and i i just i fucking i i i hate it like so like public showers like it's that's like not even a possibility for me because like i get gross
Starting point is 00:28:26 out in my like in my own so it was not draining quickly and so it would start like you know just getting a little bit of what it's draining but like it's getting like a little bit of water off the bottom so i'm trying not to vomit like i'm gagging i'm hating it so much and i had asked if he could do it and he was like yeah for sure and so he had like forgotten and i was like it's not that big of a deal like it's fine i had found a system which was essentially just kind of like kicking the water like just creating more like um i don't know pressure there you go like i'm just like kicking it to create more agitation in the water like those storm drain videos and so it would just go down quicker and um i'm not like sticking my thing like anything down it i'm just
Starting point is 00:29:13 like i'm agitating the water right over like right over the top of it and just the grate of it so imagine my surprise i'm doing this everything's fine and i am in still showering what all that and i go to uh shave my legs and i'm standing actually in a pool of blood and i'm like what the fuck and remember there's about an inch of water everywhere so it is just it's just everywhere and i was like what is going on i'm looking every i cannot find where the blood is coming from whatsoever nothing hurts also you don't have a period so it's not like yeah it's like nothing hurts and like it's not like it's showing it's like coming from a specific area but i'm like like what the hell i think i like scratched myself something but again like
Starting point is 00:29:59 it is just it's it's about an inch of water in the shower at this point and so i'm like it could just be a little bit of blood that is like tinged everything and i have no idea what's going on and i'm like okay whatever and i continue the shower and the water drains i get out of the shower and i like look down and it's coming from my toe and i was like what i'm like what the fuck how is that happening so i don't again don't think much of it i'm like it's probably not that much blood because it's just it was just the water exactly and so i get out of the shower i you know dry off i do my hair i'm styled all that this is like last week or something or no three when's last time i washed my hair like four days ago and i was like okay then i you know walk out of the
Starting point is 00:30:47 shower got my bathrobe on i'm all cozy and i go sit on the couch and i tell mods and i go oh by the way could you just like check my toe to see what this if it's like it was like bleeding before i think it's fine but i'm not like how this is going no but i'm at the point too where like after a shower i have to put my legs up so i'm like i can't really like bend over and look at this right this second and musk goes um yeah let me get the rubbing alcohol and some band-aids and i said what and he goes no that's like pretty fucking bad and he like also retraces my steps i have been dropping little bits of blood everywhere and turns out there's no longer like the screws that are there to keep the vent or not the vent the drain in so it's like been
Starting point is 00:31:33 stuck at an angle so I just went straight at the ankle of this metal fucking thing and sliced my toe and it's been yeah it's probably been at least like five days since I've done that and I asked Maz because I like I just kept the same band-aid on he like did a whole like good wrap job after he cleaned it and last night I was like oh can you check it again like am I good to take this he goes no I'm gonna have to replace the band-aid you can't take it off yet and I was like are you kidding me and but now but we only found out that it wasn't like attached and it had been like again jut out at this angle uh yesterday because this whole week this it's been plaguing me of being like it never even crossed my mind that i was going to slice and dice my body by kicking water
Starting point is 00:32:19 in the shower this was no risk whatsoever but um yeah now we're gonna have to replace that part of the shower but it was like where the fuck is this blood coming from and then it started hurting it definitely hurts now mostly because it's at a really shitty angle and place i want to paint my toes but now i'm afraid yeah that's gonna burn i know yikes yikes yikes yikes um i'm sorry you went through that it's fine it's fine it's but it's just yeah again calculated risk so like knee falling under the wheelbarrow calculated risk did it end up in my favor no did i know what it was stupid when i was doing it for sure but then i was living in fear the whole week of being like are all of these other things that i'm doing that i think are like completely safe and not
Starting point is 00:33:07 stupid at all like am i running the risk of getting hurt every single time and i feel like that's reserved for like being 80 when like right everything becomes like you know a heightened sense of danger i'm not 80 yet no but i know matt said i need to have a larger threshold yeah i was like that's not fair i just don't see why you're not used to it but well that i i feel like i am but now we've created a whole new parameter that i'm like oh my god this this is the level of here i have to have like this kind of things that seem so innocuous and so not bad but good god yeah that was um oh and then literally our whole weekend was just stripping the fucking door it what are you gonna um paint it we're painting it blue the same color we painted our
Starting point is 00:33:53 garage door and we didn't strip our garage door when not the garage door but like the door to the garage we didn't strip it when we did that one and we should have just because like as time has gone on i'm like this was there was a lot more paint on there like prior coats than we had really realized and i was like yeah this you know it doesn't get as much it gets like the one of the least amounts of uses of our doors but i'm like it's still showing that wear and tear more so we were like okay we're really gonna prep the front door and everybody was like when i showed the video of the heat gun everyone's like oh my god use citrus strip it's like gonna be so quick and i was like this is after three coats of that like we've been doing that it there is a whole other
Starting point is 00:34:33 there are divots in this door in the pattern of it that i didn't even know were there because they were completely filled with paint and so we are trying our best to get as much as we can off and then we're just going to sand it and paint it but we did think about possibly before we do that if we just want to like keep it brown for a little bit but i don't think we're gonna be able to get enough of the paint yeah fully off but i think it'll look cute i was done with like the orangey the red orange door yeah i just think it'll look better because like it'll it'll tie the color of the sky you know keep it bright and blue um and then did you notice that all of the trees in the last i would say 72 hours changed color i haven't been outside so well i went
Starting point is 00:35:22 outside yesterday and i said saturday well they weren't like that on saturday they became like this time i went outside yeah yesterday i've been doing my daily walks and it was all like whatever and then yesterday i go who was gonna fucking tell me every single tree changed they're beautiful trees don't the trees around me don't really change so i don't think it's gonna change anyway do they drop though the seeds drop but the leaves don't drop the leaves don't drop the worst time is like when you get you get an apartment that you love and you're like oh get to see this through all the seasons and then you get to your fall and you find out that you don't have the color changing leaves i've i've oh i've lived in places where every every tree just becomes naked
Starting point is 00:36:03 overnight and i'm like i didn't even get to enjoy the yellow and the red green all year round and that's that's that's i would rather have that that's what i have it's everything because it's like magnolia the only thing it changes when it's blooming yeah so um yeah but i get to i'm gonna go to arkansas and see it it's prettier there it is way prettier there yeah i i have very low standard of fall because this is I mean like NorCal has better fall but this is this is all I've had yeah it's all I've had when you buy furniture from Wayfair you're not just getting furniture you're setting your home up for a lifetime of memories visit wayfair.ca today or download the Wayfair app furniture made
Starting point is 00:36:50 for all of life's moments that's Wayfair Wayfair every style every home and you're professional opinion the government shut down what about it what do you think the cushion if i were if i were to fly somewhere what do you think the cushion we would need to get back when are you planning on going so teddy pinder t-pain is performing at red rocks in colorado the issue middle of the week so not only would moxie to get back to work but it's right before halloween we need to get out to pass candy i don't think it's a good move but wave it i want to see it like and of all places at red rocks like i would be like fuck i want to see and yes guess who's opening for him oh yin yang twins that sounds incredible um if i didn't have to
Starting point is 00:37:44 move and there was a government shutdown then i would go as well um but i feel like he he'll be here at some point he will you're right like you can he's dropping a new album club husband my sister has a very corporate job and she was supposed to come this week she would have been here yesterday and the company said we don't we're not flying y'all out we have safety concerns yeah i think the part that has been ringing quite literally in my ears as a reminder is the fact that the planes are flying so low now that I'm like, maybe it's not worth it. But boy, oh boy, do I want to fucking go.
Starting point is 00:38:28 That's, I would say he's up there, Olivia Dean and him, of like people who are currently on tour. I think those are like my top two that I like, I got to get to. I was going to a Dodgers game one time and I was outside the stadium and I heard someone talking
Starting point is 00:38:46 and I was like, is that t-pain like it was on the lap they weren't he wasn't close to me but he was performing and i was he was just yeah i don't i think he might have sung the national anthem i don't know i missed whatever he was doing because i don't know what else you would be doing before a game um take me out to the ball that's not the national anthem that's a baseball national anthem yeah so and they usually don't do that till the seventh inning good to know good to know maybe he'll perform at the uh the new women's league yeah i'm excited i keep i keep watching those videos and crying did you see the two of the real life women from a league of their own
Starting point is 00:39:29 from that and again no concept of age because i go they're still with us i mean they're like old yeah i guess yeah that would have been what world war ii yeah yes i think i'm like where did they go that would be my my grandfather was in world war ii so no no couldn't be it has maybe it was vietnam there was a draft then it had to be vietnam no it began in 1943 but they would have been adults yeah this my grandfather was alive 39 huh well also i don't know why i'm arguing i can't do math because i was just like my grandfather was in world war ii and if he was still alive he would be like in his 90s so that makes sense okay yeah world war ii took place 19 or 1939 to 1945 and the league of their own itself takes place in 1943 so that makes perfect sense oh that's
Starting point is 00:40:36 wow i think it's also just like yeah it's just crazy because like when you think of like the direct like penny marshall is not alive anymore and i'm like but there are people who are of the league that she made a movie about who are still alive yeah wow she was born in 1943 three yeah so she was a baby yeah wow wow wow if anyone hasn't seen that it's a fantastic movie one of my faves true it's so good so good so maybe we should do it when the they start playing baseball also the tv show was excellent too i wish more people would have watched it you don't like it no i just have an issue with i'm i'm actually now just a absolute slut and a whore for network cable television because
Starting point is 00:41:27 streaming shows love to make a show for exactly one to two seasons and then cancel it regardless of how many people love it I'm like so over it a lot of people didn't watch it but I also think a lot of people didn't know about it but it didn't end in a way where like
Starting point is 00:41:42 it was like a major cliffhanger but they were setting up for the black team and so like that's what I was looking for and one of the women that started in it was somebody i had directed um for an audiobook too so i was like looking forward to what her season would have looked like i just hate that like in general i think it's like if
Starting point is 00:42:08 we can like if we step back from a wider perspective most people can say like a tv show that has a a killer first season usually sucks as it goes on but like usually it's like hey give this give this like the first two seasons and then it gets so good and like we've completely like tossed out that aspect of like making television about like how we consume it with like current stuff that i and i hate it because i'm like you don't give anything time to like build and grow it's just either it's fantastic from the start and then it ends up like fucking game of thrones or it's like good and you're like i think it's gonna be great and then it's like nope cancel it over it end it be done you know what i'm really mad about what and if you really think
Starting point is 00:42:48 about a thing you know um pink ladies which was a paramount plus show that they said it was good they just took it off so you can't even watch it like immediately when the first the last episode aired they took it off streaming so you couldn't even watch it at all like all this work that people put into poof gone never to be made like it's just i'm sorry what the fuck like buy another hard drives like it's just it's so silly to me that like and it's the exact model that they keep fucking doing which is you're making more quantity over quality and then you're just taking things off because you go oh there's just too much it's too overwhelming so make less so make less and make it better it it was part of that merge i don't even know it was a network decision where
Starting point is 00:43:40 it was like a lot of paramount stuff and a lot of showtime stuff they're under the same umbrella they just took it off i think it was a tax thing yeah yeah even um that l word reboot which you know even the people that made it didn't like it but the people that were watching it loved it and then it got taken off i'm like that's a legacy show that is a reboot of a legacy show why would you do that no it's just crazy and also i'm like if you're selling us on this streaming thing of like infinite shows then keep them up motherfucker you can't tell us that this is what like these are all the benefits of this and then be like oh but actually i accidentally deleted it from the hard drive huh huh so fast makes me mad makes me mad

Starting point is 00:45:37 member but um i think i'm gonna join this one it was cool is it a specific school or is it like you do you have um alum chapters fun yeah so our alum chapters have omega at the end that's how you denote so do you go is it just like at a meeting space yeah so like more it's more formal than like it's like the same place every time it's not that like oh we meet up and we switch off no where places it's in the same place every time formal chapter meeting business everything's listed out go through everything fun yeah so did you know anyone yeah so actually at samantha's birthday party a couple weeks ago there was somebody that samantha has been trying to get me to meet as it is she's a um producer she produced one of the films that samantha was in and so she's like
Starting point is 00:46:31 y'all gotta meet you gotta meet yeah so she was very sweet she was like she introduced me to so many people and um was she the one who told you about this specific one oh cool because I was like I'm not part of a chapter and she's like we just had a big reactivation event I said I am active I'm financially active I'm just not part of a chapter yeah I'm paying I'm giving the money I'm not giving the time yes yes yeah so I'm in a place now where I can give time to so yeah um yeah but uh i had a great time so they have some fun events coming up seems like they've got great christmas event some good volunteer stuff they had a um conference at this place like a retreat at this place that looked beautiful and they were showing pictures from that giving
Starting point is 00:47:23 away i got a lot of free stuff that was great hell yeah that's a good one it's a good one to be in i looked up a place i drove by in like the neighborhood adjacent area it was like something women's club and i was like oh my god i'm so i want to see what that is i look it up not a single person under the age of what i assume 85 and the activities there are mostly firefighters coming teaching teaching these people um firefighter maybe that's just a thing where they're like it's actually like a thing that they can get away from their husbands and then they're inviting hot men over you know it seemingly it seems to be the firefighters like teaching them how to use life alert bracelets and like how to get up from falls which i'm like i
Starting point is 00:48:12 could use the fall part yeah you could you also could use a life alert this might be your people you just that you said earlier that these are things that you shouldn't have to worry about until you're old and it actually seems like this is where you should be but like i was thinking i was like because here's the thing i have no issue with a multi-generational group of women but i'm like i would love to learn how to quilt like i would love some other activities but like it really did seem it was just like elderly safety and i was like yeah i don't know that this is the women's club for me not yet at least hey i'm i'm gonna i'm gonna i'm gonna i'm gonna do better of things i didn't even know were risks okay
Starting point is 00:48:58 i gotta sell some stuff so i will need some help from you for facebook marketplace okay this couch okay some other stuff so okay this weekend give me your heads up okay i'll help okay i'll help um anything else nah except for this is the second to the last episode of fisting friday wow we've dropped it on you yeah so we're making some changes hopefully for the better we will be still like chatting at the beginning of don't blame me or at some point during don't blame me um but we are reformatting our shows um you know we were very uh about building the show out you know the start during the pandemic where we had a lot of a lot more time than we have now and uh we just want the quality of the show to be tight and uh we think it'll be
Starting point is 00:49:57 for the better yeah the goal is to make better shows for you all and that a you're never gonna lose the personality part you're not gonna lose the catch-up part we are just you know we're we're working on making this like I said like tight and I think this was like a phase of us that reflected the times reflected the world but
Starting point is 00:50:24 now we want to make sure that it reflects the current times and the world so yay also if you're not go follow our other feed that was dead but now it's not going to be anymore
Starting point is 00:50:40 it's going on life alert yeah reviving it so there's a link in the show notes so y'all can subscribe to that other feed which will be now but am I watching oh yeah
Starting point is 00:50:55 and I think we talked about it last week but the boo who ate all the pussy shirt that I did make so I made a shirt that is so remember if anyone remembers I saw a shirt that said who ate all the pussy and i still to this day think it's the funniest thing i've ever read i think it's an
Starting point is 00:51:13 acting exercise thing that i've ever seen in my life because well not the stupidest but up there there are so many different ways to deliver that there are so many different ways to like take that like what is the motivation like what is the sentiment like what is the response like how are we feeling after it is it an accusation is it an exclamation like what is it and i was addicted to it i was obsessed with it and uh on our patreon during one of our live streams we had a couple of other um you know like spirits this is what this is what you uh get this is what you're missing when you're not in our lives yeah a couple of other like spirits who also found it hilarious and then we continued to riff off of a way that because we obviously melissa hated it a way to
Starting point is 00:51:53 riff off of it to make her hate it slightly less which did turn into what we have all talked about making a a full book which then would be made into a movie and what you get out of that now i forgot about that yeah but what you get out of that now is just a boo but wait all the pussy yeah we found the answer and it's a shirt that is you know it is that we i've made it halloween themed because of course boo but you should also know that we do have a black on black option that is more subtle if you are you know i'm not gonna say in the workplace it really depends on where you work you know please don't show up to your corporate job with this on no but you know who could definitely show up to their job are our australian who owns who
Starting point is 00:52:38 owns the uh pole studio yes yes yes yes that without a doubt but it's also like hey i made i made sure it was on a comfort colors shirt which is like by far the most like comfortable cozy one so that it could be a pajama shirt like it could be whatever but like it is limited edition until melissa um makes you take it off so it will be linked to the description if you want to get one they're really fun and we're working on some new merch too and if you have any specific i've been i literally was working on yesterday good because the thing is i've been asking megan to do the merch do some updates do some new stuff i think for about a year now because it's been in the draft because even like i had told coco because she was because i was like you know
Starting point is 00:53:22 we'll send you something and she's like should i look at the therapy shirts now and i was like no don't know we've got something new coming it never came no of course i mean you made them you just didn't do anything with them they've been sitting in drafts um but i've been revamping them to go with the current season that we're in because i think the stuff that i had that's ready to go is not that it's not it was summer stuff it was like tank tops and stuff yeah so um but if anybody has any like specific requests of things that we've said on the podcast jokes bits anything like that that you're like i want merch with this or if you want like a therapy in a different color way let me know specifically for sweatshirts or hoodies and yeah it can also be
Starting point is 00:54:07 like inside patreon jokes like just let me know what pass it through the interwebs um oh that uh willow smith who ate all the pussy with the crying stuff was real i found it in complex magazine so she's on board i'll let her team know pussy what wait all the pussy she hates it's so fucking funny anyways the answer's boo all right we will see you on monday for but am i wrong last episode tuesday for see you next tuesday also second to the last episode thursday for don't blame me which will be revamped the last episode of fisting friday we will fist you one last time goodbye this is a sister sign production hosted by me megan rinks and me melissa d montz plus diamond imprint productions
