i burped right on cue ridiculous well hello megan oh my gosh hi it has been it's been a thousand years yeah not for that we said we would i mean it has it's been a couple weeks they haven't had to see you i know but they haven't had to see you next tuesday um well welcome to tuesday everybody i hope you're glad to be here we're glad to be here it has been uh i was gonna say a shit show and then i almost said a short show it's been both it's been both so it's just been a lot should we do that in the monday episode or should we talk about it let's just go ahead and talk about it now so how how much we count the ways we've talked about it in a couple of these other episodes at least on my end um that maybe i didn't say the reason moth totaled his car so

he's been like using my car yeah you were keeping it yeah well whatever at this point i don't give a shit he totaled his car he was fine it was like totaled by the technicality of it being totaled of like how much the repairs would cost it wasn't like crushed everybody was safe no one was hurt it was truly just uh the small minor fender bender he got into happened to like be the most expensive part of the car. Um, so he's been using my car and I, if everyone knows the car shortage, we talked about like us trying to get car, like trying to get cars and all that shit. So finally my car was ready and we got it through Matz's family dealership in Colorado. So his parents drove it down this past weekend, which was very kind of them. So then when Matz has to get his

car and his new car is finally ready, he will fly up and then his mom will drive with him down for it so we don't have to do like two road trips so they came they did that i got my new car motz is obsessed with my new fucking car what'd you get we can cut it out but well like what did i get didn't i tell um no you didn't tell me you didn't even tell me you were getting a car until you briefly was it this was months ago i did i told you that this is what i ended up getting but this was like fucking SUV. No, no, no, no, no. It's a, it's a Honda Civic or a court. I think it's a Civic. Is it smaller or like a smaller? Okay. A Civic. Okay. So I got a Honda Civic. I know nothing about cars. I got a Honda Civic and, um, Mazda's fucking obsessed with it.

Like he literally like it before, like obviously he was driving the Jeep before. I was like, we'll take the jeep we'll take the jeep jeep jeep and now he's just he's loving it he's texting me constantly like oh my god i found this new feature and no less than a hundred times has he said to me you know if you want the crv i can have this one and i was like no like i'm good like this is the car i want and he was like i'm just letting you know like at any point like we can also just share the cars and like trade off which days like you know you maybe you want the bigger size and i was like no no like I'm good like I picked this car like for a reason but they're they're both Hondas so they're probably I mean one's an SUV but I'm probably they're probably gonna have the

same features you know I you would think so but for some reason he's just he's he's absolutely loving it and I told him I was like if you make a mess in this car because when he was borrowing the jeep day one I got in it there's fucking hot cheetos and I was like you little like what is this mess? Disgusting. You disgusting boy. Like I was like, you better get a full wash in detail of the other car. But so that was part of the stress of my past weekend and the week leading up to this past weekend. And then my friend Kyle was also in town and then he got in town on Friday or he got, he stayed with us on Friday. He was here for work. So the week leading up to this, uh last weekend i must i think what happened is i ate dirty lettuce from chipotle and i got

either norovirus which is spread through unwashed and unclean things really feces particles i mean but chipotle is always having some type of exactly so i got something that was not food poisoning because it lasted almost i mean it lasted like seven days and i would say even the residual. Yesterday was the first day I had a somewhat normal poop. Like, and that is like a full way more than like, like probably 10 days. I was on well for legitimately days and days and days and days. I had so much work to do so much to get done. And again, with the looming fact of Matz's family coming into town and Kyle coming into town and this should be out, I think. no this definitely won't be out before my video's out but i will give you all a sneak peek

i decided that i gave myself the arbitrary um timeline or i guess the real timeline that i was going to do the peel and stick kitchen tiles before they all came so like matz's parents could like oh look at how much of a change it is they've seen the house before kyle can see it so i talked about it on some episode before i started that fucking project before i came down with this. And so like, it was also a part of like a sponsored video that I was doing. So I was having to do all of these things stacked on top of each other. Then Kyle's in town Friday. I managed to get it done. It looks great. I'm finally feeling better. Saturday we go to drop my Jeep off at the dealership. And Mott's has been facilitating all of this stuff with like

my business managers because he's been driving the Jeep. So he's got the mileage. Like he has all these things. And I was like, and you need to coordinate what you're going to, what we're going to do with the drop-off because it's your schedule. It's not my schedule. We only have one car right now and you're the one driving it. And something happened where like a miscommunication about something, we drive all the way to the dealership in Santa Monica and we get there and they want to buy the car, but they're like, oh, we actually don't have any record of you holding this lease. And we're like, what are you talking about? And they're like, we just can't find you in the system like it might be because like your lease technically ended yesterday even

though we said you could extend an extra day like we need you to like log on to your jeep like account info and they were like i was like i don't know that and they're like okay well you can use the recovery email address recovery email address my business managers it's a weekend they can't have access to it so we try 10 000 different fucking things to get into it we can't it's just like not happening. The Jeep is still parked here. And I was like, Vance, you're covering whatever like extra costs. This is like what what is happening? What is with the return? So we have to go through like because I got it through a broker who did all of this shit. And it's the most like stressful, headache inducing thing ever. So that was that was our Saturday. And then

i realized on thursday thursday or friday that i got a self-tape that i had to do do on initially says we do friday and then they're like okay you can turn it in monday at one and i was i was ready to be like can't do it there's just no time like literally everybody's in town we are hosting we're doing so much shit and everybody matz's parents kyle like matz they were all like you can do it like you've got this and i was like oh i definitely don't but like now i'm feeling like i should have this like I should be like chill and cool doing this so that I managed to do it yesterday which was the day that it was due submitting it in the nick of time um and it has just been non-stop like literally non-stop and like we've been saying this offline that this is because we both are

freelance there are times when we're making more of our work and then there are times where other people are making more of our work but we still make part of our work and so we have these like consistent things that we have to do and then suddenly it's like oh you're freelance you have all these extra bonus things you have to do but you still have to do those like other previous obligations and so this is uh i appreciate everybody's understanding that the podcast has been a little uh wonky for the last couple of weeks between illnesses and then the poorly timed illnesses of both of us yeah but we're back we are back we'll see yeah along this last i need you to tell everybody about your weekend because it looked like it looked like a a movie

i was like yeah this is so much funny so first let's let's back it up i went to that workout class so I have a new friend who is like trainer to the stars and I went to her workout class a couple weeks ago why was I sore until like Thursday that was on a Saturday and I was sore to like the Thursday beat that pussy up and I was like and first of all I couldn't breathe but second I had got up at eight o'clock wait no the class started at eight so I had to get up at seven i made it but it was but they're they were repaving a lot of the roads because there's so many potholes from the rain so the roads were just raggedy so i had to drive so slow and i get there like a minute a minute before it was supposed to start and she had asked me to come like 15

minutes before um and it was it was it was quick it was only 30 minutes what kind of class strength training but it was all body strength and there was some light weights but it was mostly body strength and i was like i'm going to pass out but luckily like everybody was kind of like that in the class they were all just kind of going with it um but i was i was so sore i was and i work out regularly yeah burpees all that shit all that shit i was like i'm not gonna do a burpee i mean in general it's too burpees is too much for my lungs because it's a lot of up and down that's all it is is up and down no but also like women instructors in general are fucking tough yeah and wasn't it all like she it was a class for her like people she knows right she like did like

no it was it was like people she just invited me but it was like okay people that pay for her classes wow yeah that's i mean that's why she's a trainer for the stars yeah yeah working them in in that fucking shape yeah but that's and a lot of them have been like because it was the weekend after the oscars so they had been partying all week so it was like so the room smelled like faintly well we were on the route we were on the rooftop but wow yeah i found this cute place um that makes protein pudding and it was delicious it's dairy everything was dairy free no it didn't taste avocado-y and it was so good so good but i had that after and i just kind of chilled there's nobody there because it was i don't know if it was part of something else but it was very obscure

but like are you in a pudding era do you like pudding no it was just i wanted a protein something a vehicle for workout yeah after the workout and it and i just saw this place and i was like i'm gonna go there and it just happened to be pudding both kyle and casey have revealed to me recently that they are in a pudding phase and i was like are you also in a pudding i was like i'm not all of my friends i was just like let me let me try this it was so it was like it it didn't feel like a protein thing what flavor chocolate it was like a chocolate mousse it was delicious wow that feels very on brand for you like it's like a bougie way to get your fucking and like they're instagrammable you can put them in little bowls little cups uh-huh wow

and then i met my friend abia's new baby and she was so cute she just fell asleep right on my chest died those pictures um and then last weekend i went to allison's spatula party we were in ohai this past weekend yeah that was last weekend it was the last one i'm not good with time i don't know how to say those things okay you're right you're right it's past two yeah it's both okay um and we were in ohai and it was beautiful incredible 10 out of 10 but definitely i would do the things again but the service at the place was not good they do everything with a smile but they they don't need good customer service because they're booked constantly there it was terrible like i waited 45 minutes for them to bring me my bags

and i walk outside and guess where they were just out just outside and the bellhop was just having a casual conversation with somebody working there anyway um but the weekend itself was wonderful lots of good food what'd you guys eat um the first night I had uh for dinner I had a barbecue like pulled pork sandwich but it tasted like it was from the south they put slaw in it which I always appreciate and they had gluten-free buns and so it was wonderful they had some chips that had like an aioli like you remember how we at your yes birthday party how we those fries fangirled over those fries and i still think about we all still talk flavor on the fries on a chip well and you said

and you could smell it yeah and then only and you could smell it from the other from somebody else's table and i was like we need to get that wow yeah um i also on sunday they had a full brunch spread that had guess what they had eggs benedict they did have eggs benedict guess what else lobster shut the fuck up big juicy claws that were already pre-cracked so all i had to do was just just a dream and you know we look both love shrimp cocktail and there were some shrimps uh yeah that's all i remember because i was just so enthralled by the the lobster claws oh yeah yeah and went horseback riding which i know you hate horses but i had to get the fit for it everyone seemed happy no i like what was were they just like riding pants or were they like

like they were they were riding they were equestrian riding pants that i ordered specific you know i like to dress i know i know i was like did you order them from amazon or did you find like a like equestrian unlimited brand like i found them they had little horsies on the little grippers between the thighs and i had the actual like equestrian little sweatshirt i had the blazer already i bought boots too she she loves she loves to dress for the occasion i do someone there was like you really set the bar for the whole weekend for outfits and i was like as beyonce said i am the bar there you go alien superstar so anyone wear like a hoodie and leggings yeah that's what most people had on the idea of like everyone just in a hoodie and leggings and

you show up and you've got like the hat on the polo like the little button down and then like that like stick thing with like the thing that you like hit the back of it yeah i was gonna grab that too but i was like that it would be just doing a little too much and you're like well you could have used that recreationally yeah i know of all of the things i know i know but i just it was only 10 bucks but i was just like i don't want to do too much are you gonna put this in your um uh is this gonna be one of your new hobbies are you gonna become a horseback rider i think i might because first of all you're as like the the resident rich auntie and like the like future billionaire that is that is a rich people thing that you can start doing now and continue on you

don't need it's not like you don't have to it's not yacht money yet but it's still money money uh-huh i think i might i honestly really enjoyed being on it and according to my mom which she forgets shit all the time so i don't know how she remembered this and me who remembers everything did not remember this but she said i used to ride horses all the time when i was a kid and i was like when she said when we lived in tennessee and i was like i do not have any recollection of this at all did you ask i remember being on you i would have been in like first grade i remember being on a horse but i don't remember just riding it around but melanie would be too young and megan was like i remember like going to like craft retreats and

getting on like a pony but i don't ever remember riding a horse wow look you it's in your blood i don't think it's true because i like i said i remember she's exaggerating and it was just a pony yes i think i remember things from when i was like a year old so i just do not believe that i remember that this happened i remember like i said i remember just being on ponies and i think that she's just she's just sizing them up in her mind yeah uh-huh she's supersizing that i mean she's 4'11 so she goes pony supersized that's a fucking horse that's a stallion that's a steed that is a steed i could so see that for you and i i personally do not like horses but i'm fine with anybody else enjoying horses like my beef with them is um it's it's just personal like it's

it's we we just have history yeah which is understandable this place was very like do not be around the horses unless you're getting on the horses which is you got stepped on oh yeah by a blind horse that got brought to a children's birthday party as a surprise gift which wasn't a gift for the child to be given a horse just to ride on ride a horse uh-huh wow how many days were you there for i was there friday to sunday that's so fun yeah it was it was relaxed like it was just like um just random you know it wasn't like you had to go to things and it was all spread out during the day so it was very relaxing it wasn't like one of those yeah it wasn't one of those um things where one of those bachelor parties where it's like everything is so planned

out and you got to be here yeah this and this and no matching outfits except you took the you decide you you chose your dress code i chose my dress code but we did have matching hats yeah but it's not like okay so today we're doing 70s theme tomorrow we're doing that i can i would die allison at that she'd be like i'm good no also being like no gabe was like that a lot no i'm not doing that no yeah yeah i had a fun i had fun i started my writer's program my writing lab yesterday and it was great everybody already like everybody works in the industry so it's like an elevated type thing so it's not the basics which i was taking a short uh a writing class that was a shorts writing class um like a month

ago but it was so basic that i quit and i was like i don't need this um but but this was this is an actual like writing lab for people that already work in the industry that you had to get accepted to um well that's the best part of thing because you learn from i always find that like uh you can learn from like teachers or like guest speakers or whatever but like if i can't learn from like my peers in it then like i'm not i'm slacking off like there's something about that like peer-to-peer yeah accountability and the guy that is running it for this part there's two different parts the guy that's running it for this part is the showrunner from the show the center and so like he's fresh off a show like he just they just wrapped that the last season last year

so like and he's got good current information sometimes with classes like people that worked in the industry like 10 years ago and i'm like this is not valid anymore but like this is good current information and i i really really enjoyed the class yesterday that's so fun that's so nice well i'm so glad you had fun oh hi that like truly if i had a bachelorette party or i like wanted to have like any wedding sort of thing i've always thought that like that would have been the thing that i okay done well that's what we're gonna do well i don't want to have a thing well we'll just have gals hanging out yeah i'd rather like celebrate my like birthday you know what i mean okay eventually i mean but we can also just like go if we want to go then we can

just go it was packed though i was counting how many black people were there how many first day only saw one and guess what she was a fan so after day one what about after she left and then didn't see i saw saturday night i saw two people leaving the bar so i guess they were around somewhere during the day and then sunday that's when all the people of color came i was like i guess because it's spring break so i think because they were all with kids and stuff so i saw like an Asian family I saw a couple black families so Latino family so like yeah that's when everybody came I was like where have y'all been I have been holding down the fort by my fucking self yeah I think look at my equestrian outfit like but you fucks oh that's so fun yeah

well hey I'm I'm glad that um wait so if it was this wait when's spring break now right now for some oh so it started yeah okay so i think i was about to say so i thought you meant that you all went with like the spring breakers so okay but you did miss you did miss the spring break crowd then yeah so that is kind of nice that is kind of nice yeah wow i'm so glad you had such a good time and look at you you're crushing it i did this is your season it is i'm feeling it much is i am too i really am i'm glad because i'm like i'm i'm watching it like a movie from someone who is like i'm in the i am so out of my season i am i am imported from somewhere else i am not locally grown i just got it i wasn't in it no no totally totally but i'm

watching it i'm tuning in every week and i'm watching it like a movie and i'm here for these updates and i'm so excited about it so anybody who's not in their season just know you can absorb that good energy by proxy as i am doing and i'm like look at this look at what look at her look what she's doing and it's impressive i'm feeling good i'm so glad thank you la is finally thawing a little bit too so you know it's not gonna rain this week allegedly we're supposed to get another atmospheric river in this this month yeah i can believe that because it's april april showers spring may flowers but it's not supposed to rain this week so let's just focus on this week i know i'm very excited about that um i need to send you pictures or you need to come over sometime soon

are um i guess i should send you pictures because it's going to be hot and warm i was gonna say you said you might be coming out with a cold so let's no yeah we gotta check in wait to see if it's just if i need a suit of it um um um the wind and the rain have blown around dirt and water which together has made soil and when i tell you melissa there are plants that have no that have not fucking existed at our house and my our current friend Casey came to see the house for the first time last weekend and I was like showing her around but it's been raining for so long I haven't really walked around like the entire house and like the backyards and all of that kind of stuff and I was like what is all of this there are plans that I've never seen before and we're

like a calendar year from like when we toured this place like we moved in end of April beginning of may but we toured it and we were in escrow for a month so i'm like these i've lived here through all the seasons like these have never been here before shit is like quadrupled i was like this is a while and i was like showing monster's parents they both are oh my god and they're like taking their phones out and like all of the pictures so like it was it's just it's so cool spring has sprung true it has it has sprung my garden sprung sprung they did one of the parting gifts at the end was they gave you

a packet of seeds. The end. Yeah. They gave you a pack of seeds and so I'm going to plant them out front. Cute. What kind of flowers or what kind of things? I don't know. It just says you know, take this with you. A little piece of to remember us. Plant

us. That's nice. That's sweet. Sprinkle them out. I think it'll be good. Yeah. Plus if they die, they die. Right. You know, no harm, no foul. Yeah, but they're, like, native California things, so it should be fine. Oh, that's good. You know what I've always wondered?

If you plant poppies on your property, are you allowed to cut them? Props? I think you'd have to because you have to. Because they're protected in the state of California, so, like, you can't cut them other places. Because I think that's, yeah, I think because in the other places people go overboard. But if they're your own, and it's your private property, so. i know but we can't cut down trees on our private property without approval from the city that's different though yeah oh by the way there are two trees three trees that mods's dad noticed which i

was like good on you buddy uh one is touching a power line so we have to get that taken down and then the other one was or no casey noticed at first it was it was nestling itself underneath our uh roof like right by the window and so then i took the base of it and i like shook it out so it popped out like a pimple and then now there's two of them that are just kind of leaning on it so we're getting those chopped on down yeah but um i'm so glad that other people are i'm like obviously i own a house i'm very excited about it but i'm not super observant about um things that are of importance but yeah like i will notice things that are like random like interests or like hyper fixations of things that I'm like oh yeah this but I'll forget about it in a split

second um so I did forget about telling Mott's about the tree being stuck under there a week ago and then his dad brought it up again and I was like oh you have to tell him because I will forget um but yeah it's it's a process but you know exciting one at that and yeah I want to show you a picture this is not they won't see the video um but it was just for you to show you what the kitchen is so we're gonna paint the cabinets green like a sagey dusty green i love that isn't that cuter yeah it looks good i know this looks really good good job it doesn't look that great close up because i did a lot of cheats because i decided i wanted to do it and then i read all of the instructions and I go, well, I don't want to do all of those. And so I didn't. Um, but

you know, I took whatever productiveness I could have. And that was what it was. It was like, I'm going to do it my way. And I did it my way. So that's it. Frank Sinatra said that's his song, right? I did it my way. I loved Frank Sinatra in kindergarten. That's like literally all we would sing we would like have little like parades and stuff and all the kids we would be dressed up as things and we would sing frank sinatra songs i don't know why specific maybe our teacher just loved frank sinatra i was like frank sinatra's not a children's artist like until i was a lot older i was like oh this is like a real real man this is a real man it's a real man with real man songs all right well we'll see you next tuesday hopefully thanks for catching up with us everybody
