hello everybody welcome to a brand new episode of don't blame me
it was not harmonized at all welcome this is a podcast where we give you advice we talk to each
other we talk shit we talk about current events pop culture our own lives and it's it's fun think
of us like that meme of you in the car chatting with your friends who can't hear you and that's
okay i was thinking of that one where it uh would somebody people have sent it to us i think it's a
ice cream yeah i'm trying to remember like what it is i think it's an ice cream cart and they're
like talking and then somebody sitting next to it like they're in the conversation yeah so that's
what podcasts are like if you if this is your first time um listening to a podcast welcome i
do think we're a great one to start with and we're a safe podcast because sometimes other ones safe
safe for half the population well for sure but we're we're not men so there's that's already
one and also we don't even say this man should be able to this man's allowed to have a podcast i do
think people need to stop saying that to men like when a man does something good online everyone's
like this one can have a podcast you can buy mic equipment no no you're not there's no exceptions
there is no exceptions like in order for you to be that like good of a man like you are that good
of a man a good man is quiet a good man is quiet and he doesn't have a podcast all i'm hearing is
you're trying to corrupt this man who is not bothering me into a man that is bothering me
right don't do it everyone well how are you how was your weekend my weekend was wonderful i had a
good saturday where i got a lymphatic drain massage oh and it was so nice um then i got my
face also massaged and then got my lashes done again they look good and yeah i got them thicker
this time and they look better at first when i saw them in person i was like oh they look great
on camera they look great on camera but i've gotten used to it now i do like them more than
i like the other ones did you go outside yesterday when it was really windy and feel what it's like
when the wind hits your lashes i was outside but i didn't i didn't notice that there's a time where
like when you're i think it's specifically when it's windy and you're walking that it feels like
an umbrella going upside down where your like lash pulls back and you go oh caught too much of that
went yeah i didn't didn't get that but and then and i got my my nails done too but also like with
the lashes i did the worst possible thing that you can do during a lash appointment guess got high
no no no i fell asleep oh they love when you fall asleep no no you twitched not just that i fell
asleep forgot that i was at at my appointment had one of those falling dreams yep open my eyes
she almost like i almost lost an eye i'm not joking oh yeah i'm sure she almost had a heart
she was like close your eye but i was still out of it i didn't i still didn't realize what
where i was like close it but then i opened it back again it was traumatic oh yeah and it was
like lashes inside my eye but she was like you cannot open them keep them closed and it's like
this russian lady so she's very you know yep yep stern she's like do not open your eye and so
she had to go in with her little tool and just pull it like one little section at a time to pull
them outside out of my eye and they had to redo that eye i was gonna say you're a perfect lash
type client because you don't drink caffeine and you're not like twitchy i unfortunately am like
incredibly twitchy regardless like just point blank um but damn yeah usually it's all good
to fall asleep unless you get the yeah the jump start yeah so i'm like next time i i need to stay
away because who knows what what could happen listen to a podcast i know listen to suny podcast
like we we talk anymore these are my only podcast now historically like you've already you've already
logged the number of hours like than anybody has ever done ever what'd you do this weekend
that is in fact a really good question what the what did i what did i do this weekend oh i went
mini golfing oh with my niece and nephew the only mini golfing place in all of los angeles
no there's a couple where's the other there's one in santa monica that i told you that's not
mini golf that's like experiential golf it's still mini they they lauded as mini golf yeah
but it's not like for kids it's a bar isn't it in a restaurant you can bring kids okay they can go
during the day i wouldn't i wouldn't recommend them being there at night time oh this is like
the only classic i would say mini golf place which is funny because like we have so many
of so many other things but like this is like the only like traditional classic mini golf place in
los angeles um so we went there and that was very fun i was of course closely monitoring the garden
grove chemical explosion i was telling everybody and everybody's like wait what are you talking
about i was like how does nobody knows this my dad called me freaking out yeah no it is the fact
that it like worked out as of now is crazy like i'm getting now that i know that is happening i'm
i'm uh like you know once you know something then you pay attention more but getting the reports of
like overnight they were able to maintain the this at this temperature i'm like okay i feel like i
know so much about it now and then i got a push notification that a different chemical
plant exploded somewhere else i was like not even exploded imploded that scares me more yes because
like science-wise i really don't understand that that freaks me out more it just does it feels like
well also because of the titanic yeah submarine vibe um my nephew got a hole-in-one which was
wonderful he was so excited i took a picture of him like holding the ball with it and then he
he's very competitive yep very very competitive that's why i was a little um i said oh uh-huh
Like, is this a good thing of, like, now he's going to be rubbing it in everybody's faces all the time and bragging about it?
Which I would, too.
Oh, totally.
I did, in fact, go find out the origin of this behavior once I witnessed Mott's and his brother.
And I said, I'm so sorry.
All of this work that I am doing, you are undoing because you're doing this.
And also, if you tell him not to, you're both doing this.
Like, you and Mott's are playing for money.
You're keeping score so heavily.
um but uh he then was like nobody else had none of you have ever gotten a hole-in-one
and everyone's like well like what do you mean and it's like no like today and like no like ever
and then it was like oh no unfortunately yes yes most of these adults have gotten a hole-in-one
in mini golf and some of these adults have gotten a hole-in-one like in regular golf and then it was
like okay i don't want to talk about this anymore and i was like of course that's the thing like
when you like you did a great job but like when you want to be like okay let's quantify how good
of a job i did in comparison to other people i'm like let's not do that you're not gonna have as
much fun right because you're you are six we are adults yes and i think and also um i think that
you and i the reason why children love us so much is because we don't we talk to them as little
adult like little people as opposed to like children and um so like you being realistic
with him sets it up so he's not so arrogant in the future yeah i didn't realize this until we
were doing something with like the whole family like uh my in-laws too that like it was some game
and they like let him win and i was like i'm sorry i'm i've and much like you've never let him win i
go the last time i let him win was like a foot race when he was three or two like that's like
the only thing and i was like hey i've never in my life let him win a game like not even tic-tac-toe
like right there are times anytime he has won he has earnestly won and i think he knows that with
me like i'm not letting him win but we also had a moment where like he was like giving the people
in front of us like he didn't say he was like just looking at them like because they were taking in
his mind taking a little bit too long um and he definitely inherited the i'm in a rush for i don't
know what the fuck for from mots because i'm like that's your fucking side of the family like you
are constantly on hyper speed but i'm like where what what's the rush what are we what are we
rushing to um and he like turns to me loudly goes the people in front of us and i go that's something
that we say i go no we talk about people behind their backs in the car and at home we don't do
it in front of them and his parents just looked at me and i was like what i'm being honest i'm
being truthful yeah no no this that is not a conversation that we have near other people
you're allowed to talk about other people they can't be there when you're doing it you can talk
to people and you can talk about people but if you're talking to people that's because they're
there you're talking about people they're not there there you go there you go and he was like
okay um and then my niece was just she was so funny i also lost my phone turns out it was in
the car it's okay we found it but i my nephew looked at me like being like you can't do anything
like who god which he didn't say that but that was the look in his eyes and i was like you are
correct but uh we had a lot of fun and then i somehow managed to get moths into the minions
i love the minions because they watch over our city much like batman yeah i saw i saw your your
post about it i've seen a movie that contained minions there's no way to know which one because
turns out i know 11 yeah i remember the evil i saw it in theaters the evil guy was there i don't
remember anything else about the movie i don't think it was a minions movie what are they where
did they come from yeah it might have been despicable me too okay maybe don't truly don't
know the only one i saw in theaters was um the second minions movie had no idea that it was a
sequel had no idea that it was a spinoff of a spinoff um and i enjoyed i just think the minions
themselves are so funny and again i respect them because they watch over our city if anyone does
not know uh they're our universal our parking garage has um giant minions that overlook and
specifically the way it's done is when you are on the freeway and for like a long stretch of a
freeway you just see them so the minions are always peering over the city of los angeles
and that's why i respect them yeah i don't i'm not on that side of town a lot
but they i i respect them too it's like because it's when you're driving first it's just a little
peak yes it's it's it's a perfect reveal and it just as you slowly get closer more and more
happens as you get seeing that eye it's so great and so i was showing mott something with him and
he was like oh my god this is like and he was like laughing he goes why do i find this funny
and i was like because they're like they are funny objectively like they're funny and they're not
disney they're pixar so they're like a little more adult like ish in the humor um and uh so
then we ended up watching a despicable me movie and he he loved it and i asked him what he liked
what are we watching the difference between i think i asked him if he liked one battle after
another or the minions more and he was like the minions obviously and i was like good as you
should how about one battle after another and madame webb what is his thoughts on that oh he'll
like he'll like minions more he no no no i said one bell after another versus madame webb i think
i asked him that after we did the episode and he was like it's asking me to choose between my two
least favorite children i was like well that's fair i ranked i'm keeping a ranking of uh yeah
there's the minions if you're looking on uh patreon ad free or spotify with ads i think
that's stewart that's specifically stewart the minion thank you um you're welcome so yeah and
then i uh did a science experiment i tested our soil because i found out which i i wish you could
just like get into a hobby or get into something and have there be like little to no learning curve
like just enough to keep me interested but not enough that like i constantly have to like
have trials and tribulations or like fail and learn like i would just like a little bit of
strife and then just coast um because turns out if you buy soil for your raised planter beds
like all of the ones that you can feasibly buy are horrible and i was like so what the
fuck am i supposed to do and i'm already doing like a combination of all these different things
and so the one that we got we thought was like one of the better ones that they sell at lowe's
no turns out they're like this is awful this is the worst so we had to test it and our soil has
no nitrogen so then we had to put this thing called blood meal in it which i don't want to
know what it is i think it's descriptive enough um and then we did all these other tests for
other like potash i don't even know what the fuck this shit is but i felt like i was conducting a
science experiment because i'm like getting a little sample there's a little dropper i'm shaking
them up they have like a dye that's in them and it was like hiking really fun um so did that and
then we did a ton of manure all over the garden to try and break down some of the clay and then
i have to do a test for the other section of the garden oh it was a pretty good three-day weekend
out there in the soil yep did um mods do that thing from um you me and tuscany where he took
the soil and finger fucked your fingers if he did the fact that we had just poured hot fresh
fucking manure all over it i would have killed him i would have killed him i also get so
overstimulated when i am doing anything that involves like mess like if you try to touch me
while my hands are dirty get the fuck away that's like if i'm if i'm doing anything that involves
It was like my, because like, now I can't use these.
And now you're touching, no, no, no, too much.
Too fucking much.
Yeah.
And then last night we saw the movie that we're going to talk about in our next episode.
What am I watching?
I did too, At the Grove.
He made a joke about watching it at the Grove.
I wondered where you were watching it because unfortunately we had to pick a different theater
because it was not widely spread.
So that makes sense.
Yes.
I had to go to the Grove because it was not widespread, unfortunately.
And I realized that I do like pay for luxury when I go to the movie theater because not like even the ads, the movie theater I go to, when they say the movie starts, that's when the movie starts.
At the Grove, literally 35 minutes of trailers and ads.
Why?
Play those before something.
I shouldn't because I walked in the theater.
and it was like empty but when I bought my ticket it was completely it was like sold out so I was
like where are the people well those people are regular goers to the theater and they and it was
in the middle of the day too but then I also realized it was like Wednesday is half price day
at amcs or something but um so it was packed but i was like where are the people when i walked in
those people knew not to come to the theater for another 30 minutes after the time because
it's just trailers and ads so i was in a bad mood yeah for like 30 minutes also because i couldn't
recline or put my legs up but you know we got there and i had a good time and we'll talk about
that on thursday when we talk about i love boosters on but am i watching we we could have
had the exact same experience but we in fact had the same experience for watching you and me in
tuscany which is we got there it was a different theater than we normally go to and we got there
at the time that the movie is supposed to start and then we had to sit through 35 minutes of the
worst like not even just trailers just like ads like i was watching fucking youtube and we were
like are you kidding and so then we had to go to the same theater for this one and mutts was like
when i was like oh shit i'm sorry i'll rush and he goes no rush we've got 35 minutes of fucking
unskippable youtube ads yeah don't worry and so we had to like adjust the timing but we were so
annoyed the first time i hate that they do that i hate it hate it hate it just give me like well
it's also because they're not making fucking movies anymore so trailers to show yeah so like
at my theater that i usually go to they tell you what behind the movie starts but they tell you
like get there 20 minutes before if you want to order well like if you want to order food without
being interrupted during the movie so that's what i'll do but like i don't want to eat the food
there at the regular theater because it's like theater food i like actual food with my movies
the part that i don't understand about the grove is like it should just be the cheesecake factory
because the cheesecake factory is right there it should be that you could get what chicken madera
to your fucking seat like you should be able to get the giant strawberry lemonade that's the size
of your forearm to your seat like you should be able to get adam's cheesecake to your seat like
that one i don't understand people like i love that you could like drink there and i oh my god
wait so funny speaking of that that reminds me when we were leaving you and me in tuscany last
time there was a girl and like we went to like a 9 30 fucking showing like a late a late night
middle of the week um and there was a girl there trying to take care of her friend they had just
left the movie and she was like completely wasted she was like come on we have to leave and i was
like god i can't imagine like getting drunk in the dark and then like going home like it's just
like also like you got like hammered there's no way you will remember the movie or enjoy the movie
and like just you and your friend and like your friend also like clearly buzzed and i was like
that's such an odd experience that like you know because i quit drinking before i could like really
legally buy alcohol that i never had to experience like i was like huh that is a little bit of an odd
uh not a choice to make but i love seeing uh movies in theaters i recommend everyone and
specifically we'll talk about it again this week as we when we do the next episode but
to everyone like when you see something that doesn't have a widespread theater release
if it's possible for you to go to a theater to see it versus being like oh i'll just wait for
on streaming that is so helpful because it means that the next movie that they do release will have
a wider theater release and it will continue on like that um yeah like even in oakland apparently
it did not get a wide release wild yeah i told i told my theater and i just gave them a thumbs down
oh i thought you meant you like got up in front of the screen like it's a no no i asked them the
one you regularly go to yes i asked them on instagram i said hey no i love boosters and
they said only in select theaters and i said i guess my theater wasn't selected
which is annoying yeah we're gonna take a break and when we get back we're gonna give some advice

meganpodcast at gmail.com or anybody domestic and international you can fill out the form that is
listed in the show notes or message us on socials and the show notes in the form has all the
information that you need to give us all right first one hi eminem i am a 27 year old pronoun
she her from sacramento area parentheses i promise this has relevance to my issue close
i am currently struggling with where to go forward with my job i work for a health insurance company
vomit emoji and it's starting to weigh on me. I'm either the bad guy of someone's day or having to
fix issues I didn't start. I generally want to help people as I know insurance is a big pain
but I'm to the point where I'm crying at least three times a week from stress for this job.
I'm in school working toward my BA for art history which has been so fun but the jobs
for this either are small internships that don't pay, have little hours, or are locationally very
far or require a degree. I have nearly 10 years of customer service work experience, but the job
market is really bad in my area and trying to commute to the bay would cost hundreds of dollars
a month. What would you suggest? I am looking at possibly switching to part-time if an internship
hires me or changing positions in the company i work for but bills do have to get paid and i'm
getting ghosted by the companies i apply to thanks in advance well this is how i know you're actually
from sac because you said you were like oh i'm commuting to the bay versus you know i actually
that's how you know the person writing this knows that i'm from the bay area because that's remember
when mecca said that we're saying something about like something like bay like mecca talking about
the bay area and i was like oh my god where are you from where are you from the bears go to some
technically from sacramento it's like the difference that you say to people because
you have to pick proximity that people will understand um yeah and commuting to the bay
area is like not a possibility like that is not even just hundreds of dollars a month that's like
your sanity and like whatever however you're going to get there like it's it's it's not close
like it's it's like it's a fucking trick um so i mean i i want to validate that like your job
and i mean this with love your job fucking sucks like and i say that to validate how you feel about
it like your job objectively sucks and i think more often than not actually or i hope more often
than not that a lot of people have your mindset going into it where it's like initially it's one
of those things of being like this thing
universally like tends to be really bad
I hope I can be a better version of
this and then once you're in it for a while
you realize like oh the system is not set up to let
me do anything to be a better
version of this like the system is set up
for me to be this
way and like no matter how
compassionate I want to be no matter how much
help I want to be like it doesn't let
me do that and that can weigh on you
like people that go into being a cop
naively like I'm going in to change the
system and it's like
can't really change the system because it wasn't set up that way yeah and so i i think it would be
so easy just to be like yeah quit your job and get another one that's not you know absolutely
like ripping through you morally but like you're trying and like the job market fucking sucks and
i understand when i'm interacting with people who have jobs where insurance or anything related to
that like i don't do this with cops because i have an attitude problem um but like i understand
that there's so much like with anyone customer service i understand there's only so much you
can do and i understand that like you're just trying to make a living and this is your job and
i would bet so much fucking money even people that dmv that like there's maybe one in every hundred
that is like no i'm actually the reincarnation of a fucking demon and like i get off on ruining
people's days like i love this shit for vast majority are not like that like they're just
like regular people who like are trying to do their best and doing with what they have
and so i think that i think that like i hate that my advice is kind of like keep at it in the sense
of like keep applying to new jobs keep trying different things and seeing what can shift and
seeing what can change but i think like part-time work there are other ways to do customer service
That's not obviously like this. But I think like if you're able to find a part time work that can you can still cover your expenses and it's not going to be like, oh, I'm I've only got three months of this.
And then like I have to then I'm fucked. If it's something that you can do by shifting things in your life, like priority wise financially, that you can make that work and you think it will have a positive effect on your mental health.
then I think because I think you in fact we do pay for mental health like we do in fact like pay
if we ignore our mental health like there are consequences to that and there are monetary
aspects that even if it's making less than something you do now if it does not make you
as fucking miserable that will increase your quality of life the same way that additional
money would because then you have to spend that additional money on fucking therapy because you're
so fucking miserable i have a different approach and it's because you mentioned that you're in
school i would go to your school and ask them if there's any positions there that you can work
especially because you're 27 so that means that you're considered a non-traditional student
and they probably have like programs set up for you um as a non-traditional student where they
can help you get jobs even beyond what you would have been able to get if you were like under 24
or whatever they consider a traditional student. So see if your school has a non-traditional student
office or it may be under a different name and also go to the career center and usually they
work in tandem with each other where they have like a program within non-traditional students
with in the career center program and they help you find jobs and so there might be intern even
if it's not specifically in the art history field but it can be customer service jobs and see what
what they have available and what they can help you with because that's what they're there for
is to help you get jobs even if it's not directly after your you graduate there's jobs that you can
get throughout the school year too good call i also say in in general anything to add on to
part-time work i think we oftentimes think of it as something that like is a very young job but
specifically babysitting and nannying that can be a not a not regular but way to pick up money that
if you've got like a family that you can do that and a lot of people look for college age college
kids and college aged kids and also i know a lot of people used to do it specifically for faculty
members who were at that school and things like that and so that could be another way also just
just if you're like i really need to get out of this fucking one and it's like okay cool well now
i'm having to pay for health insurance out of pocket or i'm on a your entire well yeah you'd
be california plan but then having something that is able to make a little bit more a little bit
more money on the side like that and I think especially when you're so fucking miserable in
your job you sometimes you just need to make money you don't need to make a career step yeah like you
don't need to like advance your career that's in your degree and to go into all of that kind of
stuff like sometimes you just need to make money and that's totally okay and it's not a back step
it's not a side step it's not like a break in your resume it's just something you have added on there
to survive. And that's that's very OK. So I think incorporating and looking into adding something
like that into it would be great. And I'm you're in a college town. So that would without a doubt
you would find people who would be looking for that. Yeah. And a lot of times alumni are looking
for our alums are looking for people that are currently in school to work for them. So really
like take advantage of what you have at school because they're there to help there's a lot of
programs that are set up for your success because they want their graduation rate to look great and
they love for spotlighting alum and things like that so like you know really look into what they
have yeah and also just know that like there are little ways to be less miserable sometimes that
are not that are not quitting your job and adding like a huge strain to that so like it's okay if
you dissociate at work it's okay if you like give yourself little games of like i'm gonna get this
done by this and then that means i can do this or like i'm going to like try and recite all of the
words to justin bieber's uh baby baby while i am like going through this fucking paperwork like
there are ways like you don't have to excel at work when you are like struggling through that
Yeah, I've had so many jobs in the past that I could not stand. But I just stuck it out because I needed the money. And that's that's what sucks about capitalism. Like, yeah, sometimes you just have to do jobs for the money. But like, if it's taking a toll on your your mental health, let's look into some other options. Yeah. as in houston and cosner i've seen a few but who are you speaking of i'm referring to mr and mrs
evans aka sean evans went on kiki palmer's podcast and her mother essentially hosted them having a
date and when i hear sharon's voice in the background i was like kiki i don't know if
you're aware of this but your mother has definitely told sean that this is in fact a date
she is chaperoning you it felt like watching two young amish children on their first date
yeah i i i still like i don't i'm still in this sense of it's not even trepidatious i just don't
get any energy from kiki where this is anything more than a friendship so i will say that i agree
with you but did you watch any of it this time yeah i've watched all the clips that i've seen
um but also like kiki recently said that she might be asexual so like i don't i don't know
why we're pushing something to something that she doesn't want well they do keep doing things
together so i know they are let's fueling it i've seen sharon's commentary about them on the
sides of chicago meeting and this is how this should be this is how destiny works yeah i've
seen there i've saw i saw his interview on kiki's podcast i saw their little um where they were
reviewing all the time she was on hot ones like i've seen all the the stuff and that's what i've
come to the conclusion of like she she's not interested in him other than friendship i will
say so i've i felt the same way that i was like oh he definitely has a crush on her and like she's
not she's not into him like that um but then she made a comment on it where it was like oh when she
like can get nervous around a guy and like just get like silly or whatever and i was like oh they're
gonna run with this they're gonna run with this and be like kiki you're pushing away but i have
to say i have been loving the amount of people who do not know this man's name they're like kiki give
that bald man a chance he was blushing all the way up to that head like the whole noggin was
blushing and i just love that people are like i have no idea who this man is but like kiki this
man loves you um but i the the twister i was like oh my god i also laughed when he said that he was
watching living single when he was a wee lad and it was an episode i knew exactly what episode he
was talking about because i did a rewatch um actually during the pandemic but it was um it
was the first time i had watched it since i was a child but it was an episode where like one of
the characters has a fantasy that tlc is there in his room and so when he saw that when sean said
he saw that when he was like in third grade and was like in love with left eye and then uh kiki
was like well you know i did play chili in the movie and close enough yeah and he was like i know
oh i know uh it seems like that seems like he's very much letting her know that he is interested
yeah like i fully like i'm with you in the camp of like i don't think his feelings are up for
debate i think her feelings like i think like first and foremost like she is in fact a business
woman she's an entertainer she knows that people love watching them together but i think also
because of that i think it would be hard to tell if she actually did like someone because like
she's she's kiki in front of the camera she's not lauren right then like she's right she's doing
and she's also said like when she's on camera she is kiki she's putting on for the camera she's she
is totally different when she's not totally different but she's not in her home yeah so
like i don't think even if she liked him we would be able to know because i don't think we would see
that in a public sort of way but i do i do think like if we just take it like at face value it is
like nice to see a guy just like make his intentions clear but it's also like if if
nothing that's fine like we can still like do that we can still do all these things like it's
not like well come on like shit or get off the pot like it's not like anything like that or i'm
like you know what this is fun this is this is sweet and this is also like bringing you both
attention and i also just need to give a shout out again to amelia to moldenberg from chicken
shop date because she is a platform that sean got on she is a an investigative reporter well and if
they ever did get together she in fact would need to officiate the wedding because she's like yeah i
he had the feelings i gave him the mic yeah and he got up here and said it kiki also said that
she noticed a different vibe with him than when she's in different interviews and she thought
that uh that's just how he was with everybody and then to know that he wasn't it made her feel
more special which i thought was cute but it was all just giving friendship vibes for me i believe
it yeah i think that there's like a way that it's it's not but i think the also i think the only way
that like the only two options for me is either they're already fucking dating and they're just
like trolling us by doing this or she's like she thinks that they're being fun well she she knows
that they're being funny and they're on her end she thinks that there is no truth to this and like
they're just like both entertainers being fun and funny and then like maybe like later later on
they'll date but like there's no way that they're continuing to do these like promo bits and all
this stuff together while like also like everyone's like i feel like they're in the early stages of
dating i was like that makes no sense like they would never invite like public opinion into this
if this was what was going on right now and there's also um which i thought it was scripted
but when they kissed on that hot ones and it wasn't at all it was just kiki being kiki and
he said he was like i didn't i couldn't even react i just went for it which is so funny but
it's so sweet yeah so i've been enjoying watching it and more more than anything i've been enjoying
like sharon trying so hard and kiki being like yeah i mean after kiki's last relationship i'm
sure sharon's just like please someone else yeah well i also don't love like what i'm seeing online
of everyone like come on kiki like give your child a wonderful stepfather and i'm like stop with that
like i hate like the idea that like that's a missing role that he needs it's like right he
needs a stepfather like he needs a new pair of shoes and i was like no no that's not right like
what the fuck and i i don't think it comes from a bad place but i think it's one of those
subconscious things that is like not wonderful rhetoric around single moms and like uh even
people that they don't mean it in that way because like they have maybe have a wonderful
relationship with their stepfather but like there's a lot of people who like choose not to
date for like the safety of their kids and like that's the idea that there is like an only a
positive possible outcome is like so ignorant and i'm like chill chill right but he was grinning
ear to ear i've never i don't think i i don't think i saw the pupils of that man's eyes the
entire fucking time like it was just just cheesing so motherfucking hard and i was like this is sweet
if anything i'm so glad that she knows like how adored she is but even if she doesn't want to
take him up on it but i i have been enjoying it but there were ones where i was like i can't even
watch this like i'm getting like getting i was getting oh i can't see that i shouldn't be able
to see this when they were doing their whole thing they just kept touching each other and then i
heard Sharon's voice behind the camera and I go oh my god I can't believe that you're there
watching facilitating it facilitating it oh but yeah that's been my favorite thing on the internet
recently which I think we needed after the week of um or the month of James Charles which I know
nothing about oh my god don't know I don't know absolutely zero and I love how I have cut off most
social media and the only one i'm really on which is a trash app which is twitter but like it
curates only exactly what i want to see i never get any of the extra stuff if i was still on tiktok
they always try to reset your algorithm and feed you things all the time i have no idea what's
going on with him there's always something oh but this one i showed it to mods and mods like
laugh and he goes this isn't real and i go no this is everybody was basically being like why
would somebody who is every who should be like so canceled but some i don't even understand why he's
not can't like why he keeps rising from it because i'm like who is watching yourself like i'm sorry
i find you like deeply beyond all the problematic stuff like i find him like deeply annoying and so
i'm like what's the what's the draw that you're like god i can't i just can't quit his conduct
i gotta keep watching but then he did something where i was like oh my god you can't like even
if he was rage baiting he wasn't he was doing something horrible but i was like you also can't
rage bait when like you are controversial and you there is merit to your controversies and like you
are holding on by a very thin precarious thread that if any time you get you can't even get too
much more famous because then immediately people will be like you don't know this about him like
let's actually take him down like you have to exist in a very like like a tenacious i don't
know a very like a a wobbly spot in pop culture in social media in all of that kind of stuff you
can't get too big because then people will remind you about all of your stuff but i was like but
god you should not be going out of your way to be evil can i tell you what he did it was
sure crazy he got on tiktok made a video and just yelled essentially at the top of his lungs
about how much of a broke loser this woman was for reaching out to him in his dms saying that
she started a gofundme because she lost her job with spirit airlines and he was like get a job
you fucking loser like oh my god you lost your job who fucking cares everyone's like you have a
tiktok of him like there's a tiktok of him like sobbing when he thinks tiktok is gonna be canceled
like are like the app's gonna get shut down and then he also as he's yelling at this being like
come on like essentially like brokey pick yourself up by the fucking bootstraps like you think other
people haven't lost their job before like you should have spent your time actually fucking
applying to a job you think i'm gonna give you money and he's like you're not even a fan of me
you don't even dm me like you don't even like fall like all of this stuff um and then he um
in the middle of it as like seemingly a throwaway comment was like and you know she's a white
able-bodied woman and like says it like and i was like that's weird but then i'm white so i didn't
think that much about it and then one of my mutuals was like hey everyone just so you know
that woman is without a doubt not white like if you felt like that was a weird fucking comment to
me it's because he finally was like oh this sounds a little dog was like let me throw them off my
sent a little bit but like i promise you that was a because it was like there was so much vitriol to
it i was like of course that was like a racist tirade like of course it was woman came forward
no not white not white fully lied fully lied and then he donated i think like five hundred dollars
and everybody was like five hundred dollars and then donated like five thousand and then asked her
said like i'm so sorry and then everyone's like do you forgive him and she was like no but then
gofundme also was like helping her out with it and i was like this is also why was she reaching
No, it was like it was a copy paste. Like, hey, like I lost my job. Like I'm sure you heard about the recent layoffs at Spirit Airlines. Like I've started a GoFundMe. Like any donation or sharing could help. And like people do that like all the time. But why did you have to make a video response to it? You also didn't even have to donate.
Yeah, I was like crazy.
All right. We're going to take a break when we get back. We'll give some more advice.

We're back and it's time for the next one. This person is 26. She, they. Hi guys. I need advice
about my friendship and I'm wondering if I'm in the wrong or not. There's a lot to this,
but I'll try to tell the story short for once. I met my best friend in 2021 through work.
at that time i was like two years into a committed relationship my friend and i quickly became
inseparable being in a committed relationship and already living with that partner made it easier
to balance a lot of time with friends we weren't in that honeymoon stage anymore fast forward a
few years and i'm dating someone new and been spending a lot of time with my girlfriend my
friend texts me every other weekend when i'm with my girlfriend about how she feels there's a
distance between us and saying how i'm abandoning the life that i had and putting all of my eggs
into this one girl sorry i'm now thinking of like actual eggs me too that's why i made that face
because both of you seemingly i don't know both of you could possibly have eggs that is that is
a lot of eggs i understand her missing me but the messages she sends just seem uncalled for
mind you my friend and i live together what okay whoa i'm sorry what am i not balancing the two
enough or she acting like a two-year-old well she's acting a two-year-old a two-year-old doesn't
have that kind of vocabulary to like express uh those feelings but she's not acting like someone
in their 20s or she is jealous she's acting like someone in her 20s who there's more to to this
i'm not saying that your friend is romantically interested in you i think there's like a chance
of that but there's also like sometimes there can be a codependency in friendships that like
lets you shut off an entire other part of you or your brain like if you don't want to date like you
don't want to have to focus on any of that kind of stuff and so like you use your friend essentially
as like oh i'm always busy i have all this stuff it takes up all of this room in my life and in
my schedule and thus in my brain that like i'm not left my own devices and like to deal with
these thoughts or to deal with who i am and all of those other kinds of things and like oh maybe
maybe now i need to focus on dating and all of that that like you can provide a one friends
friendships can provide like a wonderful escapism and distraction but once it gets unhealthy then
it just becomes like oh you're actually using this friendship as a mechanism to run away from like
dealing with other things um because this is objectively crazy because it's also every other
weekend i'm with my girlfriend so every other weekend you're presumably with your friend
are y'all still working together too i don't know but like you spend so much time together i'm sure
like at the end of the day y'all are like watching tv together you're probably cooking meals together
like you're doing stuff why is she so jealous like was it because like because you were in
when you were in your committed relationship you were living with that partner but to your
committed relationship you were living with that partner then you moved out did you move directly
in with her and now that the new person is throwing off your whole dynamic yeah is your
partner coming to you it sounds like you're leaving to go see them every other weekend
And I think that's what it is. It's like now we're not spending all our time together. You've messed, you've disrupted our ecosystem. Yeah. I would just have a discussion with her of like, I'm not putting all my eggs into this person.
i know it's just but also like my question is like do you want my eggs do you want me to put
my eggs into you like when you when you say something like that you're putting all of your
eggs in one basket like so where's what's the other basket like are you the other basket yeah
just to have a talk because the thing is is that she's also your roommate so you have to
this isn't something you can run away from at all so you have to have an actual conversation
of you know like i like this person i want to spend time with them i'm still spending time
with you i don't understand what the difference is can you please tell me how you're actually
feeling like what what triggered this what um what made you feel like i'm not spending enough
time with you when we live together yeah i would ask like on that is like what are your expectations
like can you explain to me like how you would want these things to go because like i think
sometimes that forces someone to be honest with themselves because like if she is rooted in any
semblance of reality she's going to recognize before she says i think you should spend all of
your time with me and none with them like that's not that makes no sense and so that you once you
hear that out loud it's like okay cool i can't actually say that but it's like so what are the
what is the expectation that I'm letting you down with like what is that because like like you said
you pointed out which I didn't even notice you didn't live with your room your best friend slash
roommate that you lived with your partner and so it's like well I wanted to go back to how it was
and it's like so then I would move in with my partner and then see you that like so what is it
that you are looking for that you are feeling like this this is shifting the the dynamics too much
like what are we comparing this to is it that i'm dating someone or is it that like i you know
you're always leaving to go see them and it's like i would love a dynamic where you know we're still
like we can all hang out and do stuff together or i would love to have like a dynamic
where you know you let me know like what's your plans i'm gonna see this i'm gonna see i'm gonna
be with my partner these days and whatever and so it's like we can still plan things to do together
Because like if you're like, oh, if you're just acting as roommates now and like you're not going out and doing fun friend stuff anymore, then I don't even think that's related to being in a relationship.
That's just going from being friends to roommates, which we also never recommend doing in general.
But I think like asking her what her expectations are also forces her to figure out what they are, because I don't know that she knows it.
She might just know that she's unhappy with the current situation and she needs to figure out why she's unhappy with it, because most likely it has nothing to do with you.
It has everything to do with the fact that, like, it, you know, forces her to recognize that, like, she's actually put all of her eggs in your basket.
Right.
And there's enough eggs to go around.
Assuming everybody's got eggs.
They're not as expensive anymore.
No, yeah. So...
Ask her to get a chicken.
I heard chickens have, like, a lot of diseases you have to worry about.
Well, yeah.
They're birds.
Birds have diseases.
Hmm.
I always thought, like, ones at home wouldn't as much.
I heard ducks are less.
I love ducks.
And what is a duck going to provide you as a source of an egg?
You can eat duck eggs, but is that what you want?
They're very rich.
No.
I also think ducks, duck is gross.
But, like, they're just so cute.
And they're all, like, quacky.
Okay.
And Mazo's like, we can get you a duck because, like, we used to have a pond.
we got rid of it he's like why why did we get rid of the pond you could have had a duck and i was
like no i can't have a duck here because my entire life would be mourning the ducks that are murdered
violently by coyotes i told you that too we were on a walk me and one of my neighbors and i was
like oh my god don't look over there because she was like relatively newly she was like postpartum
and so i was like i don't want you to have to and i was like don't look over there and she was like
what and she's like oh that's a stuffed animal and i was like girl i'm not a fucking stuffed animal
and she was like no and she's trying to get closer and i'm like stop stop stop gets closer
realizes it is a sorry everyone a cat head fully severed off eyes open oh god and she thought it
was a stuffed animal and i was like that's a and it was just sitting on someone's front lawn i was
like i hope to god that it's not their fucking cat yeah well it's also because our coyotes are
the size of the fucking great danes yeah they're so big so so big that's i can't have a duck unless
i moved like the pacific northwest or something but then i have to deal with those people whoo
so sorry no offense everyone i could deal with the um cold i could not deal with the lack of sun
like it's always gray it's yeah i mean that's when i think of cold all i think of is gray so
it was hand in hand for me well you know here it's very gray and warm for a couple months
true and go hang out with jenny though yeah i just can't do i just can't i need i need turns
that i need sunshine me too i romanticize like the gloomy weather and like all of like i i
romanticize it deeply but like i have such strict parameters of it that like if there's no sun it
needs to be cold and if it is cold it needs to be raining and if it's colder than cold then it needs
to be snowing and it can't be like just cold with no sun and then i'm miserable and i'm like well
like yesterday it was cold with no sun it was disgusting when i walked out the movie movie
it dropped like 20 degrees yeah i wore a puffy vest and i was like also i saw my first cloud at
7 30 p.m because the entire rest of it was the sky was one giant cloud and i'm always like okay
cool i've been taking my i still take my vitamin d supplement in may yuck well may is still the
spring and i try to keep telling people that but they don't want to listen they're like may is the
summer it's not may is the spring well especially not this year we're in a an el nino so we've
got may gray june gloom and then i don't know experts everywhere are really concerned about
what our summer is going to be like and they're like not entirely sure but they think whatever
direction it's not going to be good and i was like awesome yeah but it's also like a lot of
the big experts have been fired from their posts so they can't do the research that they were doing
before yep yep and i swear to fucking god spencer pratt he won't win like i don't i was so confident
before he won't with trump okay he won't win not in california i don't know he raised like three
million dollars in two weeks or something yeah i saw a yesterday i was driving when i was driving
to a movie theater there was a poster up or a billboard up of him surrounded by dogs and it
said who your dog would vote for well what if my dog wants to have sex because that's what he's
saying i'm like what if my dog what if my dog likes what if my dog likes all the things that
you're accusing which is again so fucking crazy and the amount of people who are like not even
from here they're like well he's talking about the issues that really matter and the things that i
really care about like humans having sex with dogs and i was like i beg of you to get a real
fucking job because i'm sorry i actually think your biggest concern is that your tinfoil you
don't have enough tinfoil hats for the days of the week like that's a crazy fucking thing also
anybody that is having sex with their dog i guarantee you it was somebody that was going
to vote for him 100 the dog fuckers the animal fucking community are they're spencer pratt fans
yes 100 and also like everyone's like yeah we just clean up the streets hating drugs all that
do you know what is temple what a temple tower of the trees the club in the on the east side
which is like infamous for just drugs recreational roofies all of that they were like spencer pratt's
gonna clean up our city it's finally get all the drugs and i go so you'll be out of business
like i'm so sorry that's your entire you love drugs that's your whole vibe this place is like
come here and do drugs like you guys are stupid well if you're in la remember to vote today or
tomorrow yes thank you so much and if you are in the state of california as a whole um please do a
ballot drop off they're doing a lot of shit to try and not have it as long it used to be if it's
postmarked and still technically supposed to be if it's postmarked by the election day it should
count but uh people are concerned that that's actually not possibly going to be the case so
to drop it a ballot box or vote in person vote in person i'm a voting person type person so
that's what i'll be doing on tuesday i like the bus i like the excitement i like being around
like-minded people i really hope you get to see someone who's trying to vote from out of state
i hope i don't because in the area that i go to it's not going to be a good time for them
yeah but i also don't want them holding me up and the rest of the actual voters up okay well
i hope i see a video of it somewhere at some point doesn't have to be where you are at i don't want
to here's i i wish it for maybe i'll vote in part i'm just we're gonna we're doing our drops today
but i was like damn maybe i should wait to vote in person so i can mott's was like i don't want
to see that i go i do i don't even i yearn i yearn i yearn to like choose someone out publicly
in person remember when i wanted to go to costco at the beginning of the pandemic
i mean there are you you can join like debates you can join toastmasters samantha's in that you
can go do it together she just debates people but i don't hang out if there's men there i don't i
don't want to do that maybe half women's groups i don't know yeah i just don't want men to view
think that i view us as equals but i was like no that's not that's not a thing um but uh that
could be could be fun i haven't seen any assholes at lows lately that's usually where i see them
and that's that's usually you should go to home depot facts that's probably where they are
berating the yes poor fucking college kids who are working there and then i'm always like
that's or in cvs i do i stick up for cvs workers cvs workers pharmacists and the people at the
hardware store that's the only time i've ever encountered those people where i am like no i'm
not upset at any i i think we could you're fine you're fine chill chill all right well thank you
all for listening join us on thursday where we'll be reviewing i love boosters and then
we'll be back on monday for a new episode of don't blame me bye
