we are currently going through a heat wave in all of california but lots of other places in the u.s are also dealing with a heat wave and much to a lot of people's like confusion everyone's like well los angeles is like la is always hot and you always have like every house is ac and i'm like those neither of those things are true yeah like average temperature not even average but like on the higher end of average 75 like year round it's in usually like like december and june you're you're ranging between 70 to 82 maybe and when we have like the heat wave quote unquote heat wave it's usually like a week and then you're done and it's usually like 86 to 92 yeah not 114 116 like it's not that and most coastal unless it's a new build no it's not not gonna have ac most coastal

places in california i don't know if coastal and other places but you don't have ac because it doesn't get that hot yeah as a kid i remember we never had a heat wave this long because it's been it's in over two weeks and as a kid i remember remember like one heat wave that we had and Marin is like it's I guess like kind of similar to LA in the sense of like once you get to like Santa Monica and like Malibu it's a lot colder because you're right by the water I would say like that's kind of like probably a similar distance from like Marin to San Francisco and so it usually you still have like the fog and it doesn't get that hot similar to here and I just remember sweltering in the house that night house I grew up in did not have AC and it's like on a

hill so like it's completely shaded so it's usually like very fucking cold it was so hot that we went i went to my friend's house and we went to the library and there's some people in the library that it was been just caught because all the body heat was heating it up yeah and then we went to like the pool and the pool was like lukewarm and i was like this is horrible so then we went to see like three movies back to back that's why movie theaters actually got popular it's because in the summertime people would go to as a way to escape the heat yeah and apparently theaters in la for the heat wave have been like doing extremely discounted prices because people do need to get out of the heat because there's not a lot of places with ac and most homes don't

have it um but so i have a the heat i can't fucking function it like takes it out of me it makes me exhausted my body cannot handle it i start at like um i have like 10 energy when i wake up and i am not sleeping well because it is too hot to sleep but then also when i turn a fan on the fan touches like the wind blows against my body and it's too loud and then i can't sleep so have you ever thought of getting one of those like chill maxes that blows air underneath your covers what the fuck is that i'll send it to you she is a gadget for everything even if you don't own it you're like i've seen it because i thought about it no i feel like you think it would be like i thought about getting one for my own bed since i am a hot sleeper but this is when i was living

yeah when i didn't have central ac our little window unit is doing the best that it can chill sleep as well chill sleep so like our place like it usually averages 86 degrees to like 80 degrees inside it's a little pricey but it might be worth it it's a whole new mattress no it's like a um kind of like a blanket no it's like a mattress pad that you put under your um but does air like does it blow see i don't like that feeling though i just get overly stimulated by like everything and so last night it was i was too hot so i couldn't sleep and so then i would turn the fan on then i would go to sleep for a bit and then the fan would be too loud and i didn't like it blowing on oh it's not blowing it's like the you might like it yeah it's six hundred dollars

though holy fuck yeah at this point monster i've just like we've been having conversations about what we want to do with the house if you are brand new here we bought a house and like renovation wise our number one priority is the kitchen and then we've said uh maybe now after that we would actually put um potentially doing a adding central ac as like the second top priority we were just planning on doing like adding some window units um and his parents have like some system set up that they couldn't have like central air and so they have this other thing where it's like in a lot of rooms but the house is like big enough that we should be able to have central air and we have enough room outside for it we just have to get the um asbestos lined pipes

taken out and it's more expensive to like because like basically they're like okay you can either remove the lining and like the asbestos lining from those pipes and then like install new lining but it might just be cheaper just to like rip it all out get rid of it all and then just reinstall everything because i guess there's like a high like it's just harder to remove asbestos and keep like the mechanism yeah then just like taking it all out completely so we will figure that out because that viral tweet that everyone's like welcome to like the like the 2000 2002 2022 los angeles heat wave also known as the coldest summer for the rest of our lives and i'm like oh fuck so maybe we might end up doing that but that's why i am low energy but i'm gonna try and bring it

anyways i watch rap shit which is you were talking about like isaac rey going to florida for something yes this was for that show that she created so that's what it was okay you're like she's she's no it was because it takes place in miami okay okay um and it's i the city girls uh-huh they're the executive producers and it's loosely based on their lives like very loosely but where is this place where it's on hbo max it is the way that they okay it took me like two three episodes to get used to it yeah but it's so brilliant the way that they shoot it is that in the world that we live in we're on our phones constantly and so they're like constantly like recording each other or like live streaming or like facetiming and they also do the thing where

they do the text message but they put the text message like actually on the phone you'll have to reuse your glasses when you watch it but they don't put pop it on the screen they try to keep you like very immersed in it and it took me a minute to get into it but the way that they do it it's brilliant and then also they have to i know they have to have like sponsorships with spotify and these other things that are very prominent in the show but the way that they use it makes sense to what the show is oh i love so i really i really like the way they tell this story how many episodes eight and you finished them all 30 minutes okay yeah we do need a new show because we finished lupin last night that one i also took my glasses for because um you know they it's we

use dubbing and which i told you that when i finally we've been watching it on the tv and this is before i got my glasses last year and then we started watching on my computer and i was like is this computer lagging and he was like what i was like the mouths are being weird he's like it's dubbed over in english it shows in french i was like what the fuck the whole time i was like i definitely need glasses because i could not tell but they will have like some like a newspaper written or something that they will then translate if it's like a visual thing with text on it that's in french they'll translate it so i have to wear my glasses for that but you should watch that show too okay i gotta finish i haven't watched the last season of atlanta so i'm gonna

bounce to that and then maybe i'll go to that it's really really good about it's about this guy who it's like he is they do like a juxtaposition of like him as a kid and then him as an adult but he is obsessed with like this book series like lupin like he's like a not like murder mystery but he's kind of like an elusive man who is like you know robbing things and blah blah blah but it's always like for kind of like a greater good and it's more like trickster like not prankster but like getting out of that yeah and like getting out of like any situation it's like oh my god how is he gonna do that it's like oh poof like he did it like he he's able to like utilize like his charm and his like personality so it's not magic no but i did there is a bit of it that like feels

like i'm obsessed with the now you've seen me movies and there's more than one first of all the sequel is fire i love that sequel i also just like a huge fan of sequels in general um and it has a little bit of that element in the same way that it's kind of shot in like the and similar to like oceans of being like how did that happen like how did you do that and then they kind of walk you back through it and so they like will plant seeds that you'll then realize later on there oh my god that's this person aged up this is this and it's like it's really interesting but um it's like the whole premise is essentially of this guy who his dad was um like he was told his dad was a thief and then he kind of grew up to be a thief and it's just the finding out why his dad was told

like why he was told his why his dad was a thief and like why he is stealing what he is doing it gets you root from from the very beginning you root for him but the actor and i could even tell this knowing that the voice i am hearing is some american who's dubbing this over but i was like what is he like i've never seen him before but i was like he like plays this role and it does a really great job of being like it's actually funny still like it's like there's like this weird amount of levity to it and like he just has like the like bajillion dollar smile like he's just like so charming and you're like oh my god like i love you like i'm rooting for you turns out he's like a fucking comedian in france and i was like oh and the part and the kid who plays the younger

version of him i was convinced that that had to be his real son because they look so similar and he has like that same like cheeky smile like the whole thing like he like nails it but it's really good like it is there's still like some humor and like funny aspects to it and um they're like saying like fuck kill the evil people um and like robbing for good it's like an ethical scam movie okay it's actually the epitome of an or tv show like the epitome of an ethical scam like a hundred percent an ethical scam okay it's so good and it's kind of like matzah told me it's like he thinks and anyone correct me if i'm wrong but it was like the most expensive and like most successful show out of like france in the last however many years it's
