understand it but i wasn't gonna question it because i was like i'm sure there's i'm sure there's a frame of thought melissa loves mean girls that's all she's just gonna be thinking about instead of politics this is only gonna talk about mean girls for the next couple months and that and you know what everybody we're gonna be okay with that class yeah um and i do want to say i'm still talking politics just not on the podcast that's all my instagram feed is now i've lost about 100 followers in the last week um but uh yeah melissa doesn't want to talk politics for a while who is wrong six percent says melissa's wrong 94 said melissa is not wrong a lot of people also said that if they accidentally voted you were wrong someone said i always feel

guilty when i take a break from it but it fuels me to keep fighting when i'm ready here here yep i went to the gavin newsom little meeting it was good i love it i'm obsessed with those those photos of them sitting next to each other me too so i'm obsessed with melania lighting up for the first time in her life oh my god that she had stars in her eyes she said this this man what do you mean i could have just taken a flight across the country i could have left new and i could have gone to sunny california drink some napa wine with this man who has his hair and stands fully upright could have could have would have could have but you didn't and now you're stuck i literally at this point i i feel like i can almost guarantee that at some point

during that interaction at the end as he was like he was leaving he goes by the way your wife wants me and then he probably threw a wink at melania like and she giggled she never gives you guys i was truly waiting for i thought trump was going to kiss i know i thought newsom was going to kiss trump on the mouth as a power move i thought he was going to do it on the forehead because he's so much taller than him by the way he does uh gavin newsom is six three trump also says he is six three um and some people are like well old people shrink okay we'll change your height also longer six three stand up straight right you're giving a cute angle like come on um but i did the the tug of war between them it was great it was so funny um and

our governor what a man yeah has nothing to do with what i really i just said well that's the politics we'll talk about yeah hot politics thank you yeah all right uh that was it then we have mine megan says if you don't live in california don't comment on the fires 11 said i was wrong and then 89 said i was not wrong let's see as an aussie i can relate so hard evacuating and being so close to the fire is actually the most terrifying i did listen to and i like kind of wish I had heard it when I was like in the thick of this I think it would have like made me it would have been a really nice distraction because I was having a hard time tapping out of fire like I was like I have to be plugged into fire content but I'm having a hard time I want to

watch things where people are aware of it I don't like things where no one's acknowledging it like and just like we're carrying on as everything's normal because like it it's it was it's just so not normal but then at the same time I'm like I can't keep watching the news of these like just entirely depressing stories but Trixie and Katya's podcast The Bold and the Beautiful they have an episode I need to find the exact title because it is funny and I was like oh this is this is this is us this is very much our vibe um it is called Escaping LA with Six Wigs and a PS5 and it's a podcast recorded in the car because Katya just picked up Trixie because they both have homes in hollywood hills or in hollywood pick up in the car recording on iphones you hear sirens

in the background like horns honking and it's them in traffic trying to get out of la oh gosh and like but it's like they're very much like their zoom recorder yeah they're like they're they're like being funny about they're like acknowledging what's going on and like you know being but like finding a way to find like humor among it or whatever yeah and so i was like oh that's so nice someone else said i feel like people have gone so far left that their fight for humanity has made them lose some i'm all for eating the rich and such but no matter what someone has there's something that they did to earn that and not to be lost in an instant is devastating also literally how can you know more about some know more about something than actually

someone experiencing it fingers crossed these people have chronically wet socks damn that is that is a curse to have um i do like the whole thing that like the real catalyst of all this is like bots like people will pay bots to say things and then people see it over and over again and they start parroting those things and it is like not the consensus and it usually comes from people pretending to be from different areas and whatever be like i can't play whatever and then they're like oh i think i'm advocating for these people because i think those are real people commenting it those aren't real people you are now just saying what they they want you to say um and then they start to think that they hold that belief based on like research and knowledge and

it's not it's based on fake comments you've seen that you therefore now have taken as true real personal experience that you think that you've researched so i i do blame technology a lot for that because like i don't necessarily believe you go so far left you go right on your own i don't think you're in like that's not like it because it's not it's truly not a natural progression it's your influence to that um and someone else said another person said i live in australia and i've evacuated from fires multiple times so can understand a little it's uniquely terrifying i'm so sorry you're going through this yeah i i am and by the way i think everyone knows that when i'm saying like don't comment on the fires if it's all you have to say is like i'm

make sure you pick something that's you know it doesn't necessarily need to be confirmed could be like we got locked out or whatever something someone else said i was with melissa because this is crazy as a gift two hours away the morning after they arrive yeah honestly what a great compromise on the sourdough i hope the writer does that and has an awesome time without the extra driving this gift is insane and either mother-in-law didn't do research before gifting it or she literally hates you because why would anyone intentionally give you something two hours away and first thing in the morning that's really how i feel if my mother nodded that i'd be like i probably would text her and be like girl what

who is no i can't do that did you know this was two hours away yeah like at that point like i would have had to assume if she if she booked something two hours away in the morning i'm like you have known me long enough specifically you've known me long enough with having pods that you know i i need a full i have to so slowly go from being fully horizontal to like 25 percent horizontal i have to like i have to like tempur-pedic sleep number my way like up to start my day otherwise like i'm screwed i'm known as someone that always comes the day before if i'm going on a group vacation i come the day before and the day after because i need time to decompress before we get into any activities so like no no moth has tried

would like to like have us fly in and then go straight like go to a wedding like after two hours i go quite literally no for an evening wedding i'm waking up early in the morning and i i need i need to mentally i need to mentally and physically prepare at this point i don't understand how people can get off planes and go somewhere first of all i gotta get these compression socks off i have to i did the shower i have to peel the clothes that have adhered themselves to my body i have to not only do i have to shower i have to scrub underneath every single one of my nails like i have to i have to clean the inside outside every flap of my every flap of my body i have to i have to clean my luggage like there's so much i have to i have

to get into the bed i have to relax i gotta order some room service i need to drink so much water so much water i'm putting on a mask how can i how can i go anywhere and like for me i'm like one of my big germ things is lip balms like i cannot anytime like i will never touch i don't do public i don't do i don't do public lip balms obviously but i don't i don't put on lip balm if it's something i have to touch with my fingers i'm out in public that's an at-home lip balm same but even for me if that's all i have i'll do it in my car and i'll wash my hands before and then i'm like okay i can do it now post plane i have to full body shower before i can do that i cannot even just wash my hands no that won't clean me enough and i've got to eat because i didn't eat

all day either because i can't eat on a plane yeah and i think there's quite literally no way i could do my skincare routine and then put makeup on like my face would kill me no this is why we travel well together i just opened up our instagram and we got a suggestion for a bachelorette party and it's i feel like this is something you would be into wait like someone's someone's bachelorette party yeah it's like a instagram post and it's called scraps of love and you're just scrapbooking the whole bachelorette party i love scrapbook my favorite thing about the um our podcast account follow it everyone megan and melissa because you can see everything that i'm saying that we each send each other like

we send ourselves like a bunch of and sometimes we're sending ourselves like the same thing and we're like it looks kind of cool right so like we used to joke about how like the feed like the fucking home like the for you page on our tiktok fucking weird like it has nothing there but this for you page it used to be weird it's pretty fucking great now it's yeah it's an amalgamation of what we both like it's not stuff that i would get on my actual instagram but it is stuff that i enjoy this someone made a tie like i'm seeing a tiled mirror like all of them like this looks lovely favorite recipe i learned at pastry school and i'm like cool lots of lots of lemon desserts so many and it's making me want lemons except i think for a lot of people they're

if he did that's a a statement i don't know that they picked up on i did see someone in um the handbag subreddit being like so i accidentally realized what i ordered after i ordered it and i tried to cancel it and it still showed up and like i'm really glad that i canceled it initially and like didn't pay for this i i'm gonna just send it back i'm not gonna sell it because this is exactly i don't know why i didn't think about it and it's a it's a handbag that's a blue bandana and they were like oh it's like they were like i realized that two days later because i think because like i'm assuming based on like their profile that they're not conservative and so like you know i i would bet that there was probably a red option a blue

option the red kind of red can give for anyone in the rest of the country it can uh elicit of like a like country bumpkin like a hick like redneck kind of a vibe like for some people view the red and it's like well i don't want to i don't want to associate with that so i'll pick the blue option and then i'm like and then 48 hours later you go oh no actually neither of those options were what i would have wanted to pick but it reminded me of this outfit oh wasn't that what he wore i feel like he might have had on a tuxedo i but i didn't see him performing in a i still haven't seen videos from performing i think i saw like someone selfie and he was in the background but i'm looking up right now oh you're right he's in a tux all right uh someone said this

one hurt so bad after all the shit that he said about trump it's scary to think about what it is that made him do a 360 if it's purely the money if it's purely the money has gone to his head i pray i never get so rich that i lose myself it's not just that is that trump pardoned his friend um but that's still like you can be thankful for something without a lot of to perform and co-sign and then be forever indebted like you're not that's the part that i think is really crazy because like i think that's what we all collectively are like that's seems to be his outlook and like i would be truthfully i'd be surprised if he kept the money i would assume he probably donated them like i would assume he was like whether he gives the money to that friend

or whatever i i don't see him as being like this is a big check payday money he has no that's what i'm saying so like i can i don't think that he i don't this is i don't view this as financially motivated at all to the point where i don't i don't even think he has that money i don't i think he probably like you know again gave it to that friend who he pardoned or was like you know no this is like i you know you did that thing for me this is my favor i'm doing to you or you know he was like oh i'll donate it to whatever but like that to me doesn't absolve that because like it's just so weird if he would have gone performed and then he gave the money to the aclu like yeah do what i did with that nfl brand deal yeah like you give the money if i

this has really changed my feelings on this man this little dude's funny he posted on january well he posted uh yesterday which would have been the 29th yeah so um spotify posted on january 27th bruno mars became the first artist to reach 150 million monthly listeners in spotify history and then he put the that post in the story and wrote keep streaming i'll be out of debt in no time and when you sent it which that part i think like the joke was even funnier because when you sent it um now it shows like the whole screenshot but you know before it would like crop that stuff so i just see you say he posted this tap to see the whole thing but so i've already seen that so then I just scroll up and I tap but I can't still hides it well so mine usually does so

just like oh just business it was yeah it was the apprentice but martha was the host i guess my question is i don't know what the print the apprentice is like they are fighting for shark tank was it like a business they're fighting to i think work at trump oh towers or whatever it was called okay an apprenticeship to work with him the rachel's o project okay i thought it was like shark tank and you were like getting money for like uh to to start your and then your capital business or it wasn't like your specific thing there were challenges where like you were the lead on a different a specific project and whoever like led the team then the team would vote at the end of who they would kick off hold up did what's her name who went into politics is that where

he said suitcase my suitcase um but uh they were he was sitting um but yeah they would like they would present what happened with the project like do the project proposal and do it in front of them everybody would talk about like what happened during the project and then i am holding two pictures in my hand and then some and then like they would go out and like present their case where this was like the worst person on the project and then everybody would leave and then the trumps would sit there and later be amorosa with them too would sit there and talk about like what the project was and then when you came back then they'd be like okay blah blah you're fired and that was how it would go and then you were off the show it was this whole thing you're fired

that's fucking crazy it was a great like i love that show that's crazy i couldn't i that's wild like i even think i mean shark tank to me is too stressful of a show i will never watch think of that but like times 10 that's what i'm saying so like for me i cannot even handle shark tank there's no way i can fucking handle that and also my issue with shark tank is i my i don't have a hard time with people i don't like on it like that's fine but when i'm so deeply rooting for like this poor this man who's trying to like make these things to protect the trees for the farmers and they're like that's not enough money that you're making for me he's like well they don't have enough money like i wouldn't do that and they're like whatever and

i'm just like oh my god it's like the worst of capitalism but like even then you have like the relief of sometimes the people coming on who get their dreams hopes and dreams shattered which i don't enjoy watching but that i'm like no yeah wow this makes me want to do a deep dive on like everybody who's ever been on it hey uh celebrity one is pretty funny the season that had nini nini that's the whole thing where nini came back to because she had gone and done it and then came back to real housewives and they and somebody was talking about her being poor but this is when she was like everywhere and getting paid and she was like and now i get to cash these trump checks then i mean she's anti-trump now no i know but i just before but like yeah it was like the trump

checks and then when we were getting those checks during the pandemic and people were like now i got my trump check like that's that's whatever calling back yep there's it was her latoya jackson what the fuck dion warwick star jones like it was i need to know who was casting this who cast that don't know but i'm sure they're casting something great now because that's that's good good job yeah get your tickets now for the dark stars it's no surprise how fast civilization can disappear Go!
