i was like just imagine if like you didn't understand these jokes like imagine like you should be so lucky and so thankful that like you know what this is like you know what this is this is so funny um but it was great the same person it doesn't correlate to anything else but i'll just read it out loud um also finish the episode so y'all mentioned i hate whoever thought that doing updating photos in ios was a good thing you were wrong i can't just tap on something and everything moves around anyway it says also finish the episode y'all mentioned j-lo and i forgot she was in a horror movie was ice cube anaconda um i didn't forget i'm well aware of that corny ass movie um and it didn't make the list because no one wants to watch that

off yeah as californians we can tell you the power of layers that's like the big big thing because it drops we don't have like once it's summer it's going to be cold in the morning it'll be cold at night like every season's like that um and we also don't really tolerate the winter well so we are very big into uh in the big stores and the malls heat so it'll be really fucking hot you go to a westfield so layers and also scarves that you just take off and a big bag a big bag i think is actually the crucial part so you can store those things i'm also um from arkansas which is two hours from where this person lives we're bordering neighbors um and i will distinctly forever and always remember that i went to work one day um this was during what would have been spring break

but i wasn't in school i went to work and i had on shorts and by four o'clock it was snowing and i'm not a person that wears shorts just because it's like 50 degrees outside i'm not a person i wear shorts when it's 80 degrees outside i drove home in the snow that's insane yes that's so i understand like weather-wise because we have the same weather we have the same news stations that go between um it's intense uh it's a lot but wear layers as megan just said barbecue is for whenever your heart desires it and grilling is not the same thing basic ass white dads quit it agree yep i think i did a rant about that before then we have my hot take megan reminds us that words have meaning and the word in question was

doxing zero percent said i was wrong 100 said i was not wrong and someone said i think part of the issue is also people wanting to feel important as if saying they were doxed or whatever the situation is it makes makes whatever they experience more significant yeah i i think that's a huge part of it because like it's because it's i don't want i'm not trying to downplay someone saying like you should die that's like without a doubt like horrible but that is not a death threat you know like a death threat saying i'm going to come i'm making a threat on your life like i'm coming to kill you and your family it's very different than saying your family should die and like it they're both bad totally but they do have different meanings and i feel the same way

about doxing someone else said this is a really good example doxing is like breaking hippa getting called out for stupid shit you say online is legal and should be done more often yeah they're like a lot of people like if you say something like oh this is breaking hippa and it goes no that's not breaking hippa but it is still unethical or it is still bad and so i think like when we have these overarching terms that it's like oh they are bad if they are deemed this and it's like no there's a ton of fucking gray area and there's also things that are legal that are bad that like we should call out and say that they're bad but i think when we use the wrong meanings for them then it feels like a those words lose meaning but then b the bad stuff that happens in between in that kind of gray

someone else said ah i fucked up writer is in fact wrong totally understand the feeling of being left out though never fun someone else said the reason i believe the writer is wrong is because this film is not about them it's about their friend just like you said the ability to be humble and know that every role no matter how much authority it has is important learning how to thrive in the smallest roles will teach you how to stay humble when you have the most authority it's a good way to put it well put another person said unfortunately a college degree and the experience you get in college are not as highly valued as parents made us think not a film major but everyone seems to want five plus years experience for entry-level positions in this case

it sounds like more experience you've got the better which is correct you're also your film degree like with love truly means almost absolutely nothing in this industry like specifically for like acting degree like what that really gets you is if you get a good position in a showcase and casting directors come and see you but like that happens in acting classes too like there isn't a it's what you learn and learn and the um relationships that you build with your classmates yeah and like your access to that you need to be have great relationships with these people that you're working with no matter what position you're in because they could have not just hired you at all totally and like you you you the whole thing is it's about the relationships and school

it's a it's way easier to make those relationships because it does the work for you but it's really fucking expensive but you can make all those same relationships outside of school for less money you just have to work at that but that that's like the that's the only return on investment in that way no one's looking at your you don't have like a resume in the same way like people aren't really asking where i've like never had anyone be like oh where did you go to school like i don't know most of my friends who act i don't even go to school that's not so much a thing unless you're going to theater school and usually that's like you're uk based like okay then we have writer number two would they be wrong to tell their husband that they stayed in a

spooky hotel 63 percent of the writers wrong 37 percent so the writer is not wrong i think the timing would be wrong unless spooky things are happening let that man live peacefully not knowing lol otherwise bring it up anecdotally years later so chaotic i don't think they would be wrong for telling their husband that the hotel was haunted but my question is what's their motivation as long the husband isn't traumatized from the experience and hasn't been talking about it recently i say what happens in the spooky hotel stays at the spooky hotel what if they had a spooky threesome and he didn't know i would divorce immediately let him forget about this never tell him and do not do this again this would just be cruel i agree with that yeah um it did also make me like look up

uh gallop new mexico which is where i had the spooky experience on tiktok and there is a specific haunted hotel that it was just all these people like going to go stay at it so i would like to say everyone if you do enjoy the spooky things totally go there and like i'm sure there's so much other great stuff there we were there in nighttime middle of the week late dark it's not a lot of streetlights um but if you like the spooky stuff it seems like there are like resources to go to like a hotel there that is haunted and then we had a combo wrong of the week arthur jack that's not how you spell his name it says scrubber that's what you wrote is that what i wrote probably auto-correct it it's schuberth sorry usually i will correct it if i type it in and

and just let people to pay to kill it is fucked up and to that i bring up the comparison i think i made last time which is it's very west world like that do you ever watch that show i saw the first episode so you understand the show so that's all i need to see yeah it's the premise of the show and like that's what the reference that's what the comparison is too um but yeah it's it's such an odd thing where like we talk about like the morals of capitalism and like how they muddy like it's muddied so quickly not just by corporations but by individuals and our consumption of it um and when there's like a natural consequence of like over hunting things and you know climate change and all that that there's less that like the solution to

just create more animals just to kill them as opposed to being like oh no we've killed all these animals and like the planet health-wise isn't doing so well so like these species aren't coming back at the same rate they were before maybe we should not do it it's like no let's just make more and just like killing for sport i have yeah it's wild no for food totally fine killing for sport the way that i think like it's crazy that we talk about like one of the precursors that is like identified in like actual academic work is a um if a as a kid someone tortured dismembered or killed animals around the neighborhood that that was an indicator psychologically a that something was inherently wrong at that time and that if that behavior went

unnoticed or unchecked led to further destructive behavior specifically involving killing people um but then we like make an exception for like no but if you went hunting with your dad in the woods and you like covered yourself in camo print like laid in the ground for like four hours and then you killed a deer and you cut it up together and then you post a picture on instagram together holding a dismembered animal's head and you're only seven years old that has nothing to those things are not the same at all what do you mean but like if you're teaching like this is what we did this is how we clean an animal this is how like that's different than just like prize well i i killed the biggest deer well because these ant antlers are the biggest

content whatsoever um but i was looking at the comments because it was like about catching fish and he was having a like fish fry for his birth for his like sixth birthday and he was like really excited for it and like wanted to catch the fish themselves um and uh i was like looking in the comments and i was like i wonder if like people are gonna be mad at this um and they like weren't and like i wonder if maybe i didn't scroll enough in the comments or whatever but people were in my camp and i will say i don't think that i aligned probably even with it with this family or the people the audience of this channel politically whatever um but that like they like caught the fish he was like so excited he like he would kiss the fish and then hand it to his brother and his

brother would kiss the fish and then he said things like oh the fish is like wiggling he doesn't want us to eat him i'm sorry we're gonna eat you later and like was being like so frank about it and then his dad's showing him how to like like he's like and this is how we fillet it and they don't show it on camera obviously but he's like holding the same way he's excited holding up the fish he's holding up the fish fillets and then he's like eating it afterwards and he's like i'm so proud of myself this is so exciting like this is so good and i was like and it's crazy to me that people view all of what he would have done which is and take in mind how they caught them was they had a basket that they caught them in they weren't even catching them with a line and going through

the mouth um they had the trap set and i was like it's so crazy to me that like people view this as the inhumane version but when you have your you're casting your line out and you're hooking them through the lip and then you're dropping them back in the water that was more humane and like when they had when they dropped the ones that were like too small or whatever like they didn't make a whole ordeal of it being like and this is the nice thing to do i'm like that's crazy that you view that as like the better version it's just so odd um but i will say the food looked like it could have used more seasoning but it did make me it's fresh though crave a fish fry yeah it was specifically when you have a breaded chicken or a breaded fish whatever it's the color

yeah you know um there's a fish place like two fish places down the street for me that are known for frying fish like you can legit bring your own fish there and they'll cook it for you but they also have just fresh catch fish so i wish i liked fishing um i don't just not for me no but like i don't wish i liked it i love an actor active an outdoor activity that is like slow and then exciting like i i like that kind of thing i don't like a high energy or um high adrenaline thing for like an extended period of time so i like that part of it um i don't like the trauma that i have of remembering when my dad got the hook through his finger and that's the part that i will always be afraid of yeah no thank you no thank you no thank you no thank you

unrelated but my high school reunion was this past weekend oh so you went obviously yeah i was in contact with someone i that i was close with in high school um we didn't like remain friends after high school but it was to no fault she's not a republican as far as i know not a republican she's keeping it to herself and she's keeping it to herself um and she was asking if i was coming and i was like didn't even know it was happening and then i clicked on the um website for the reunion i'm all over that fucking it's not even a website it's instagram i'm all over the instagram like look at all the cool things she's doing it's like photos from the past oh my god from high school so everybody's thinking i'm gonna get the diamond herself

diamond disease will be showing up and you're like i don't even know about this and you're the leading star there's there's just photos all over from high school and i was just like well didn't even know it was coming up oh my god you didn't care didn't want to go um but i was looking at the photos and i was like i look pretty good that's why they said put the best foot forward about that foot put the best face forward oh my god yeah no fantastic is that a juicy sweatsuit no no what's that shirt it's a sweater you can see it more in this one oh yeah wow that is of the time uh-huh i was showing melanie and she's like this looks like one tree hill yeah i was have to say this is like a tv show like those outfits and everything here's mine i'm also

want to think like he like acted so like oh my god and then will not stop saying it and i literally had to i was like i'm sending you to the bedroom i need you to sit there get all of your slam your clam jokes out get all of that out and then you can come back when you're fucking done because i can't and he was crying he was laughing so hard he could not speak and i was like i need you to be done with this like this was and he's like it's so funny it is very funny it is so funny but like he's like fake like aghast at who would say that i was like so you can thank them like that is that like he's pretending he's so shocked by it and then could not stop making the jokes and we were and we were watching greek and then he just kept making jokes that's getting your claim and like

some of the jokes were great other ones were not and i was like i just workshopping them i'm so but the thing about him is like he laughs before he says the joke and then i go hand me the remote and he goes what and i go in there and i pause the tv and i go say that what you want to say and he goes you're ruining my timing i go you ruined your own timing by laughing with this glazed over look in your eye you're writing right now like just get it out of your system say it and we'll move on um so make sure i hope none of you are listening to this around just a given other who uh also will have an affinity for specific phrases because you will now not stop hearing slam your clam jokes there was um a tiktok that i came across of this guy he's gay

and he was um just laying up in his apartment and um the window cleaners came and he had his windows wide open and he was like this man is out here i could have been djing my cat and just went straight over it kept and i was like i love that i will be adopting that into my everyday language so that is djing the cat is um my version of slamming the can clam i love when people just like drop some sort of like epic phrasing like that like shakespearean phrasing yes and they move on right past and i go i actually need to get deeper in your brain because i know that there are ones that you would have done a much bigger lead up this was child's play for you right what else are we saying uh-huh give me help me out immediately follow because i knew that there

they were they would have so many more gems in there yep that's so funny that's a good one too and it also like you know doesn't feel to me as violent as slamming of a clam but i do like slamming the clam yeah it's it's just unfortunate that you actually don't know that it became like a your mom joke because everything i said to my own fault could then be followed up with and i'm like fucking like i was walking right into it that it became like it was so universal everything we saw on tv and it was just inundated by the slamming of the clam I did see it it didn't really hit me the same way it hit Mott's but

it hit him hard hit him right in the clam it slammed his clam it slammed his fucking clam but I haven't brought it up in like a couple days and as of now I haven't heard it all day so he might have forgotten
