try desperately to pry legal information out of Melissa.
No, I'm not going to jail.
There will not be a mistrial.
I know, I know, I know. I know.
And we just, a lot of talk and a lot of gossiping, a lot of gasping.
And then we also have, you have, I trigger warning you guys, the advice that we give,
we only talk about getting violent at the end, but like you should know when you,
when you hear us read this, it will inside a feeling of violence inside of you.
And I just need you to be in the right, um,
headspace to listen for this because this will make you angry at like 50% of the population
just when you see them because it will trigger something in you.
And I'm sure our listeners already, we've already like at all times, we're about 20%
mad all the time and this is going to take it to 100.
Oh my God, I'm about to pick a fight already.
Like I'm like not even home and I'm about to pick a fight about something that doesn't even
relate to us because I'm like, how dare could you be of the same gene pool as this person?
It is just
Woo makes you mad
So if you're getting ready
For like a boxing class
Or a workout class
This is your pregame
If you're about to go on a first date
Oof
Maybe not
If you're about to go on a first date with a woman

Good God
Did you see
Francesca Miquela?
What?
Up front.
Oh, my God.
Anyways, we don't talk about that during this episode, but if people want to participate in the show, how do you do it?
You can give us a call at 310-6-940976.
If you're an international listener or you're like, ooh, I just don't really feel like calling a voicemail.
Send us a voice memo at meganpodcast at gmail.com.
And if you're like, sounds great, I actually don't want to hear my voice.
on the podcast, which why would you not? Because it's so fun. We'd love to hear your voice.
You can just write it in, send it, type it out to that same email address, or the easiest thing
you can do is click the form that's in the show notes and fill all of that out. And as always,
we also welcome additional advice from listeners. So if you hear what we talk about on this episode,
and you're like, oh, my God, I have some experience with this or I have some insight or I have
survived this and this is what it's like on the other end of it. Please send it into that same email
or the form, anything like that, call, whatever.
We love to hear and have this be like a group effort.
Because sometimes we do need multiple people to like really shake someone out of something.
And let's get into it, but just in case you missed it.
I'm not going to be okay when this comes out.
Me either.
I am so excited.
Me too.
Remind me to tell you something gay after too.
Okay.
We're not, but to the person that said that's just you.
when they wrote to your response when you posted a picture or something about it.
And then just said, that's just you and Melissa, I'll never forgive you.
By the way, I hope you know that one of the perks of ADHD is, I forget things all the time.
Why would you remind me?
And me, I never forget things.
So it's always in the head.
No, I didn't.
Without you, I wouldn't be reminded.
All right, let's get into the episode.
What does a sunny guy?
getaway with Air Canada sound like.
Sunny Jamaica moves to its own rhythm.
Rio comes alive long after the sun goes down.
Philippines slows everything down.
And just when you think you've heard it all, there's Sunny Lima.
However you imagine your sunny escape, Air Canada can take you there.
Book hot fairs and vacation packages today.
Nice travels.
26, she, her, and my boyfriend is 29. Heehan. We've been together almost three years and living together for about four months. Moving in together improved our relationship because we finally got to see each other. I worked two jobs while finishing grad school and he works full time. Financially, we split rent and utilities 50-50, even though he makes more than I do.
But, so sorry. I just need to work myself up to have the courage to continue reading this.
But groceries and household expenses have somehow become mostly my responsibility. I'm usually.
buying the food, toilet paper, detergent, cleaning supplies, and everything else, and he rarely
reimburses me unless I specifically ask. The bigger issue is that he does basically nothing around the
apartment. In eight months, he's grocery shops maybe twice. He has never done a full load of laundry.
I can count on one hand how many times he's done the dishes. I cook, clean, wash his clothes,
change the sheets, take out the trash, and keep track of everything we need. Meanwhile, he comes home
from work and plays video games for hours.
Recently, I came home after a 24-hour day to find him gaming while the sink was overflowing
with dishes.
He looked at me and asked what we were having for dinner.
I nearly lost it.
I talked to him about this repeatedly, and he always just says, just tell me what you need me to do.
But I don't want to assign chores to a grown man.
I want him to notice that the trash is full without me managing him.
Every argument ends with him helping for a few days and going right back to normal.
I'm paying half the bills, covering the extra expenses, and doing almost all of the domestic work.
I'm exhausted, resentful and starting to feel more like a mother than a girlfriend.
We still have eight months on our lease.
Do I give him one final ultimatum or start figuring out how to leave?
Start figuring out how to leave.
So easy.
I'm so glad you said.
I was so worried being like, how can I get through to him?
And I'm like, I'm so glad you gave us the option of like, should I figure out how to leave?
Yes.
You should figure out how to leave and you should make him miserable until then.
Like, this is so intentional and so, like, he knows what he's doing.
He knows it, he sees it, but like even you saying like, oh, like now it goes back to normal because that's what he thinks is normal.
What was he doing before y'all live together?
Was he living at home with his mother?
And he just thought this was going to be the next step?
Honestly, like, there are men who have roommates who like 50, 50 totally pull their weight and then they move in with women and then they're like, she'll do it.
Like, it is like it's not, I don't even necessarily think it he was living like this.
I think it's just as likely that he was he was being babyed by his mom or his like whatever the situation was or and it's also just as likely that this is how he views a relationship with him. Even if he like he hasn't, his mom hasn't been babying him and he lived on his own for all these years reverting straight back to that because like that is what he expects from a relationship. And like this isn't this is insane. He's 29. If we're going, okay, let's get through these next eight months. Let's make one an exit plan, but two.
make a budget and show everything that you're spending money on.
I don't like that he works full-time and all are splitting things 50-50.
I hate that, actually.
But if we can get through the next eight months and that's your biggest issue with splitting
50-50, I think that's the best case scenario for right now.
But sit down and every time you spend something, every penny you spend on the home,
send him a Venmo request.
Like, I don't, like, it doesn't even have to be your, he, he's offering up money.
No, you, you are immediately asking for the reimbursement back.
I think you should take his credit card and you should buy it on his card.
That too.
Write down everything that you do in the home and show him, like, are you telling him, I'm
tired, I'm not doing this shit, you've been home all day.
You're playing video games.
Get up and do the dishes.
Yeah.
This man is your roommate. The first step you need to do is you need to break up. And then the next step is like he is your roommate. You don't do your roommate's laundry. He's your roommate. You don't, you have your own things. You have detergent for your clothes that you have washed. That detergent lives in your room. You are living with a hostile roommate. That is like, that is what this is is. Like, you've already tried to talk about this. You've already done this. And like a man who's like, just make me a list who's like, you live here too. You also have eyes. If you need to know what needs to be done, you have a full time job. Do you do this at work? Do you ask your boss?
being like I can't actually see like can you give me a detailed to-do list are you wow so you've never
been called proactive that's deeply embarrassing don't do his laundry either when you're doing laundry
that's your laundry you're doing your own laundry don't it's not the laundry's piling up and he hasn't
done it okay that's his laundry if he wants to have dirty clothes that's what he does over there
you have your own clothes you have your own towels you have your own sheets like that's all your
your stuff yep if he I'm sure you're all are sharing a bedroom you might be in a one-bed
so it's not like possible that you're only doing your sheets, but it's y'all sheets.
But of course you want clean sheets.
But like take care of yourself and he can take care of himself.
This is not a situation where you need to be stuck and I need to figure this out.
No, he's a grown man.
Yeah.
You're 26.
He's 29.
No, he knows.
Frontal lobe is fully developed now.
He knows how to take care of himself.
Mm-hmm.
He knows exactly what he's doing.
It's exactly that.
It's not that like this is like, oh, what is the magic words I can say for him to get it?
He gets it.
He knows what he's doing.
This is an active choice.
And this is a three year relationship he knew going into this.
And that this was what he expects it to be like when he lives with someone.
Like the what's for dinner, I would have, I would have been.
Order something.
Violent.
Like I, the way I would have been so.
I'm sorry.
The Xbox, the way I would have cracked that shit over my fucking knee through.
Like this, the.
the games that this man plays, those consoles, you are stronger than me. Those consoles would have
been destroyed by now. But like, this is not even like, oh, I need to get him to understand me,
like, in a way of being like, no, no, I am now going to disrespect you and all the way he disrespected
me. Not to get even because we're still broken up. Like this is over. There is no recovery from
this because like he doesn't want to fix this. He just wants you to get to, he wants you to eventually
lower your standards and get so tired of talking about this and bringing this up and having being so
tired about having the same fight and having him fix it for two days and then go back to that that you just
start to get accustomed to this is being your new normal that's what he's looking for and you
cannot give him that like this has to be when you make dinner you make dinner for you
and things where you're like oh well you know we both live here and like i understand you're like
i want to make the place nice i want to do it ever you just have to get through this you just have to get
through the rest of this lease. And truly, if you can't get through the rest of those lease,
that's also okay. If you need to be like, I can't sleep there every night, I need to split some time
staying at my family's house, split some time staying at like a friend's house. I need to like,
I can't be there seven nights a week. Like, or I need to, I'm going to spend a lot. I'm going to
study in the library and I'm going to be spending more money eating out. And I'm not going to come home
until it is like just to sleep. Like whatever those things are, knowing that it's not permanent.
but like if that is more financially feasible than breaking your lease or finding a way to get out of that lease.
But this is the living situation needs to end whenever it can end.
The relationship needs to end yesterday.
Like the relationship needs to end immediately.
And the living situation you figure out with what's possible afterwards.
But you don't wait to break up until you can figure out the living situation.
Because like that's just no.
Because you don't owe him any of this.
even if you were in a relationship with him.
But I think psychologically, it is important for you to break up.
So there isn't even a part of you that treats it as like an us.
It needs to be this man is he is treating you like a roommate who's a homeschooled roommate who's never seen who lived in a bunker whose mom told him it was 1994 forever.
Like he's living in a reality that does not exist that is entirely beneficial to him.
and he needs to be treated like a roommate
because he's treating you like his mom.
I think, yeah, this is just
the financial aspect of this is in fact crazy,
but I do agree with you that like I don't think
it's worth it to to adjust the 50-50
because you just need to get out of this lease
and I don't think like you need to break up first.
Yeah, because it's going to go.
It's going from a relationship to a roommate situation
and a roommate situation it would be 50-50.
So we want to keep it that way.
But never do 50-50 again.
No.
Also, like, if you're moving in with someone, and I think, I don't remember the situation,
but if you're moving in with someone and you haven't done a trial run first where only one person is on
the lease, don't do that.
You know, because like, if it would have been like, we're going to move in, you know,
three months, we'll see how this goes or however long.
takes for the adjustment. And that way one person's on the lease. And even, and some people are like,
but what if he leaves? Okay. Like, that's fine. Like, you know that he left and now you don't have
this legal binding contract together. Yeah. Like, it's a good, like a good trial period, especially
because, like, you said that part of the perk of living together was that you finally get to see each
other. And like, boy, oh boy, are you finally seeing him? Yeah. Like, you really are. You didn't know him.
You didn't know who he was in this type of situation.
So I just want like for people in the future,
because this isn't our first time that this is,
somebody's called in in this situation.
And this is so common.
We've had people call in numerous times where either they're working full time
or they're working full time from home and their partner doesn't work home.
And they think because the caller or writer works from home,
then they are susceptible to doing all the home things.
And it's like, no, I'm still working.
Just because I work from home doesn't mean I'm not working.
Or whatever the situation is.
There's a lot of men that think that want trad wise.
And that ain't happening.
They want trad wise who split 50-50.
Right.
And no, no.
I have like nut in my throat.
I have almond.
The skin.
Like you want me to be a traditional.
But like, you do not have traditional pockets.
Those pockets are sewn shut.
You can fit two fingers in them, not even a whole lot of cash.
Like, this is insane.
And also, like, where is the cabin that you built for me with your two masculine hands in our traditional marriage?
Where's the food that you have killed and brought home for me?
Yeah.
Because, like, now you've gone, quote unquote, grocery shopping.
Yeah.
Why haven't you gone to war?
Why are you still here?
Why aren't you in the trenches, quite literally, on the front line, and by the front line, I mean, of warfare?
Why aren't you in the trenches they have dug?
Hmm.
Hmm.
Why are you listening to podcasts?
Why aren't you churning butter?
Why aren't you whittling a mechanism for me to turn butter?
I'd just start calling him Jebediah, being like, well, if we want to get traditional.
I don't do, like, the name Jebediah.
It has such a nice mouth feel.
I don't like Jeb?
No.
It's a full name has to be Jebidiya, but the way that your mouth moved.
when you say it, it really scratches, because, like, you do all the movements, like, the a's and the
it's, yeah, I don't, I, I completely understand because there are names that I think are objectively.
Or Jedediah is actually the better version, but, yeah.
Ooh, that does Jedediah. That's got a nicer, like, little tongue clot, mm-hmm.
But there's something about it, because there's other names that I look, when I read them and I go,
that's so pretty, but when I say them, I go, I don't like how that feels in my mouth.
Yeah.
Both Jedediah and Jebediah, like, those have such a sing-song feeling in the mouth.
which is also why I picked it because that is the one that I enjoy saying.
So there you go.
Like for me, like, what's one that I don't?
A name that I love in theory and I love it written down.
And I'm like, oh my God, it's so cute.
But I also don't like the way that I say it.
Like, I don't have an issue with other people say it.
Again, it's just in my mouth as Arnold.
I think I sound too nasally when I say Arnold.
I'm not a big fan of the name.
I think it's a cute name because I think of the Arnold.
And I just think of a little football head.
Exactly.
I love it.
hey Arnold, but it just sounds like does not work with my...
It's just an old name.
I don't know.
Like Jedediah is an old name, but it feels like it, it's an old name, but it feels like a fresh old name.
Arnold is just like an old name.
Wait, I can't say all the names because I'm not going to like reveal us whatever, but my niece's birthday.
We're sitting there making crowns and I'm like introducing myself to the rest of these three-year-olds who she's friends with.
You would have thought we were at a motherfucking retirement weekend.
I was like, these are crazy.
Like, and they're all adorable.
But I was like, you guys don't even know that all of you have old lady.
There's not a single one that didn't have an old lady name.
Yes, I think.
Okay, so Jedediah, like, that still is like, I think this is my rationale on my head.
Like, a little kid named Jedediah is cute, but like a little kid named Arnold just, like, sounds like an old lady.
Yeah, you'd call them Arnie because, like, you would have to change it out.
Mm-hmm.
But I was like, that's just so, so funny.
Well, I also have to say that this is the nicest advice ever
Because my first thought was like Google Wiki
How to make a guillotine
And then like bring your friends over
And you have to sacrifice them to town square.
No, it doesn't seem too hard.
Like by the way, boys did it in the olden days.
I think you could figure out how to do that
And then you invite your friends.
I'm like, all you need is force times mass times accelerate.
Force equals mass time acceleration.
We just get, we just need enough it to be high enough
and sharp enough to come down fast enough.
Go to lows.
Yeah.
That seems pretty simple.
But it also seems like a lot of work
when you can just get a hatchet.
Good call.
Good call.
And you get those biceps going.
Yeah.
Don't let the mechanism have all the fun.
Right.
Put something behind it.
Machete something.
It's, there is a man in our neighborhood,
allegedly every day I go on citizen.
And there's just something with a man with the
machete and I'm like, what is he do? Like, I've never seen him, but like, he seems to be a mainstay
of the neighborhood. It's not just your neighborhood. Do you guys have a machete? I think machetes are
around. Are they having a comeback? I think, yeah, because I've seen it a lot on citizen and it wasn't
your neighborhood. Like, I'm just like, where are you guys getting machete? Like, and it seems like there,
it's not like this person seemingly has like other weapons of choice. It is just like, no, no, it's like
being like the katana guy. Like this is the machete guy. This is, it's not, it doesn't seem like you're,
it just always seems like you have it there. It's on it. And like sometimes you're using it.
Other times you just have it. So, yeah, maybe they're making a comeback. They're having a big
moment. Big time for machetes. I wonder if machete knows. Probs. He probably supplied them.

Honestly, fuck my life because there's truly nothing interesting about it.
And all I want to do is talk about what you can talk about with what you're going through.
Yeah.
So last week, I was like, don't know if we'll have an episode because I might have jury duty,
but we're recording this the day after because today is Indigenous Day for the courthouse.
I don't understand because Indigenous Day isn't until like October 12th.
But they're taking today off.
So therefore, we are recording on Friday because we can.
Because Melissa did, in fact, get picked.
I didn't.
Yes, I was building up today.
Oh, sorry, sorry.
I thought we skipped it.
No, no, no.
We're recording today because I can.
So yesterday, all week, I've been checking, like Friday night, I checked, nothing Monday.
Monday check, nothing Tuesday.
They tell you keep checking, keep checking.
I got offered an audio book.
I'm like, I'm fine.
It's Tuesday.
I'm fine. So I did the audio book on Wednesday and then we just had like it was supposed to be till noon on Thursday. No, noon their time, 10 for us. And so we would have been fine to record the podcast. And so I was like, like everything's fun. I then got the notification on Wednesday that I did in fact have to report on Thursday. So I got up at six. And it's like Wednesday evening. Yeah, because you have to check after six people.
So I got up at 6 a.m. to finish this audiobook, finished it right on time, went to the courthouse, checked in, and they're like, we're going to split you. This is all the information I can talk about. They're going to split you into two groups. You'll hear your name called. Then you'll go and hear you'll be questioned for the jury.
So you're sitting in a room because I've seen jury doing. That's like my, that's my knowledge of it because I've never been picked.
So are you allowed, do you like bring a book or are you allowed to have your phone in there?
Yeah, I have my computer with me.
Okay.
So you're not, you don't have to be like totally unplugged.
No, but we're, it was quick moving.
When I went when I was sick, it was packed.
Like there were so many people there.
There weren't really any seats for everybody.
And then I was like, hey, can I dip?
And they hadn't even started yet.
And I was late because I had to walk a long way.
I was hot and I was sick.
Yeah.
And they had moved the room that we were supposed to be in.
And so, like, I was like 15 minutes late.
And I was like, they're probably going to tell me that I can't come in anyway.
But that wasn't the case because people were still checking it.
And because they told us to go to the wrong room.
Yeah.
And this, it was like we were sitting down and they, within 15 minutes, they were already
splitting us up.
Promped as hell.
Yes.
But there wasn't as many people there.
It was a lot of people.
It just wasn't as many people.
Yeah.
So they were telling us that, you know, you could be.
question for like get questions and see if you would be on a trial you could get it may not even
get to you for the questions for the trial that and in that case you have to be dismissed and then come
back to the holding room and then potentially put on another trial just depending on what all was
going on or if they like another one didn't have enough jurors that they wanted on it so it's
just like a mixing game so it's like a casting game so it's like a cast-dust.
room. Yeah, it is. And yeah, so I was picked after being... Let's say, you made it through, like, a good... You took a... Yeah.
Yeah, I was, um, I was not in the first half of people. You were texting me very hopeful.
I was very hopeful. It wasn't hopeful because I did want to, I did want to be on a, like, I want to do my
civic duty, but it was more like, I don't think that they're going to.
to pick me. Like, I think I'm going to get sent home.
More so we will be, I think we'll be able to record on Thursday. Yes. Yeah.
Well, yeah, next Thursday. Because today's Friday. This was yesterday. Oh, my God. It was yesterday.
Yeah. Wow. No, yes. Yes. But basically being like, I don't, no, sorry. The way that I was like,
oh, I wonder if she's going to want to record later in the afternoon. I wonder if they're just going to
dismiss her. Like, as it was happening. It was like, oh, really doesn't seem like they're going to get to me.
Yeah. But that didn't happen. And I'll talk.
more about that when I'm able to. I have to go. We went immediately into the trial after the judge was like,
y'all want to get out of here as soon as possible. And everybody was like, sure, whatever. So,
yeah, we started. Wow. I got to go back on Monday. That's different than jury duty, because
jury duty needs to make a whole show and they, like, sequestered them in a hotel. Well, yeah, that's.
Yeah, so that is different. Wow. Did you get, like, the food trucks and stuff? They have a cafeteria in there.
I just ate what was there.
What'd you eat?
A turkey sandwich.
Hmm.
They have, I mean, it's a turkey sandwich.
Okay.
You can't fuck that up.
No, but then you could have a good turkey sandwich.
You can have a good turkey sandwich.
But, like, they had other food that they were, like, cooking and stuff.
And I was like, I just want to eat this and have my, because you have an hour and a half for lunch.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
So I was just like, I want to eat this and have time.
And I sat outside.
Mm-hmm.
Hmm.
Do you make any friends?
No, because you can't talk.
I mean, you can talk, but you can't talk about the trial.
so I wasn't talking to anybody.
Yeah.
That would be the hardest for me.
And that's why I sat outside
because everybody else was like inside.
Hmm.
Wow.
Do you see any celebrities?
Anyone you recognize?
No.
No, James Marston.
No.
Wow.
So you said you think that,
well, they set up to four days?
It can be up to four days, yeah.
Well, it could be even more than that,
just depending on.
I was going to say,
meant for this specific one that they...
But the average is like four days.
Oh, not even just like estimating
this kind of what they put you on.
They just meant, like,
in general for if you're summoned for jury duty in Los Angeles four days is the average.
Wow.
I'm excited to hear about it once you can talk about it.
I was going to say, though, like thinking about it before you got the summons, like,
we're actually going to need you to come in.
I was like thinking in my head of being like, I wonder if there's like any, like, it doesn't
really seem like there's been any big things like in L.A. recently that I'm like, I can think
of like, oh God, what if she gets on this one?
And the same day, I know it's like they're not going to trial right now, but it's, it is actively happening at the courthouse, the woman who drove into the bus.
And I was like, oh, God.
And then I was like, oh, wait, no, they're just at the courthouse for her to accept that, to get arranged.
To get to do all of that.
But I was like, oh, my God, that's going to be, she's going to be on there for months.
But I was like, oh, no, not that one.
But so many things go to court.
Uh-huh.
I've seen Judge Judy.
Yep.
People.
This is America.
You can sue for anything at any time.
Yeah, we are a litigious country.
Some people might like it.
Other people, not so much.
But hey, it is what it is.
But I'm excited to hear about it.
You have to go back Monday.
8.30 a.m.
Wow.
Yep.
And I mean, I will tell everybody right now my running theory is they are going to ask you to be the foreperson.
Just because every time you go into like a group project setting, even if it's like you're auditing a class, they're like, would you actually like to come up here and speak about this?
because I have, I'm sensing that you're an expert on this.
I do wonder if they're going to, or do you think someone will volunteer?
I can't literally can't talk about anything.
I know.
I know what I was going to say, I also don't know how that aspect of it works.
Like if people are, people want to be the four person and then someone's like, oh, I really want to do it.
Versus if it gets like assigned.
Because I want to say in jury duty, it was, um, the barrister assigned it.
But maybe I'm wrong.
Also jury duty is a work of fiction.
A fictional show.
Yeah.
Uh-huh.
So, but it was at an abandoned.
heart house. Yeah. I mean, people film things that abandoned buildings all the time. I know. Welcome to
LA, baby. People were like, how did they get this happen? I go, what do you mean? Like, there is
specifically a literal diner in Los Angeles that has not been operable for like decades because they
just use it for filming. Did they build it as a set? No, it was a diner. But it is now just for filming.
And you 100% have seen it. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. You have multiple times in multiple things. And you're like,
oh, I know exactly where that is.
And it's not on the Warner Brothers lot.
It's just on the street.
Libreya?
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
The very common street passed by it very often, more so when you used to live over.
I lived right by there.
Yeah.
That would pass by it so often.
But so funny.
Well, that is, that's quite the update.
And looking forward to when we'll be able to hear more from it.
Yeah.
So maybe next week.
You also went to the sparks game.
Yeah.
And that was, I was like, if I would have.
gone home, there was no way I was making it to that game because I was so sleepy. It was already
a long day. But I was already downtown, so worked out. Oh, yeah. That is nice. It was literally
five minutes away. And also the VMAs were going on last night at the same time. And there was a
conference. It was a lot happening. Huh. Maybe I know it was a lot of people with VMA things and there was
a lot of badges and a lot of things were sectioned off. So maybe they were setting up.
or the VMAs happened last night.
I believe it.
When were the VMAs?
They're not really on Thursdays, yeah.
Sunday.
Well, they were setting up and they had,
if you're here for the VMAs, go this way.
And people had lots of name tags.
So I need to go get some coffee before.
I went to the game because I was very sleepy.
So audiobook, jury duty.
The Sparks game, which was the last one of the season,
the last one for Nekka Agulike, she was retiring.
She's also the president of the Players Association.
So she's very well respected.
She's very instrumental in then getting that money that they now have now.
And so, and she's only like 34.
She could play more, but she said, I need a vacation.
And also, I don't remember what came first,
but Kathy Engelberg, who is the current commissioner,
announced that she was stepping down,
which is done in December, and people are like,
it's NECA going to be the new commissioner.
Oh.
So we'll see.
Kathy was there.
She didn't give a speech like she's been giving to other things,
which I was expecting.
And I was really excited about booing her
because she always gets booed.
But I think she didn't want to get booed that.
Yeah, maybe she also knows she's passing the baton
and she's a little bitter.
It's maybe a forceful handoff.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't.
that whole part of the industry is real sketch, so I don't know.
So, yeah, it was funny.
And I saw people taking pictures with her.
And I was like, why?
Do y'all not follow the actual behind the scenes for the sport?
You followed enough to know who she is.
Yeah, that's a good point.
Yeah.
So I got there early, very early, five o'clock because I was downtown.
And they told us we were going to go to 430, but we ended up ending early.
year. And so I got, went and got some coffee. The doors didn't open until 5.30. So then I went in at 5.30. Pretty empty. So I just walked around the stadium, checked out the site. And then the game happened. And it was a great game. Sparks were leading very early on for a long time. And the Valkyrieus are number two. And Sparks are like down. They didn't make the playoff. So this was a very exciting game. And in,
the last quarter, I would say,
Caitlin Chin came out and off the bench,
and she pretty much went on a run from Valkyries for like 18 points.
And they kept running the same place.
And the Valkyries were up for most,
until like they were up at the last few minutes of the game.
And then the coach for the Sparks thought it was a brilliant idea
to get a tech by yelling at the refs,
which automatically puts the Valkyries on the line,
so they get a free throw.
And then there were just some dumb calls that were made after that.
And the sparks lost by one point.
And I wanted the sparks to win, one for NECA,
but two, actually, two for NECA,
one, because of the way that the playoff situation was working,
and I wanted the Aces to play,
because that would have put Aces in second place,
and I wanted them to play Dallas,
even though Dallas is my number three team,
I wanted them to play just because they're an easier team.
You're like fucking mod.
It's like, well, if this does this and then this does this.
And I'm like, okay, I'm rooting for whoever I find funny on the team.
If I like a single player on that team or whatever,
but like I can't, having the forethought of like what this,
the trickle down effect is like a level.
It's so impressive.
My brain can't do that.
Being down with bronchitis, this was what I was doing every day.
I was analyzed.
Like I literally wake up in the morning.
Yeah, I wake up in the morning.
Check threads.
Look at like sports things.
Like the WMBA became my life while I was sick.
And so I've been just like analyzing to the point.
I have a meeting next week with a school about going back to school for sports.
Hey, I'd support it.
I support it wholeheartedly.
You're turning into your mom.
make a degree in this.
Yeah.
That's impressive.
I don't know.
I'm waiting for my transcript from college to get here so I can see how much we'll transfer.
Because if I can knock it out in two years, why not?
You're becoming your mother.
Like, why not get another degree?
Why not?
Why not?
No, I think it's wonderful.
Also, the more you have, the less bad I feel about.
Like, it just, I feel like it makes up for my lack of one.
Maybe I could transfer my credits to you because I'm not doing anything.
with them. Your six credits? Yeah, exactly. Just like, you know, help you a little, shave off two months. Aren't
they just like acting classes? No, unfortunate. Well, probably, because, in fact, I did credit, no credit,
pretty much all of the other academic ones. I think I did English. Okay, I already have that credit,
so that's not helpful. I don't know that I do oceanography. I have an intro to acting class as well,
so that's not helpful. Yeah, I do have two credits from acting one-on-one because I
I did that one twice.
Well, then you only have, you think you would only count it one time.
Okay.
Well, God.
I don't, you know, that was, that was my, that was my, you, you learning the WMBA, like, all of those stats, that was me figuring out exactly how many classes.
I had to take to be considered a full-time student.
There were a couple times where I accidentally did become part-time.
And then how many I could credit, no credit, while still remaining a student.
Yeah, I'm not going back.
So you don't need my credits.
It's okay.
No, I don't.
I've got your credits already.
Perfect. I'll keep them. I'll keep them for myself.
It's a rainy day.
That was, the game
lasted for a very long time.
I got this shirt. They were giving away really nice
shirts. Like,
Oh my God. That's so cute. That's so cute.
And they're actually good quality because usually
they give out like paper thin shirts.
But yeah.
And I got to, I sat, Coco gave me
her seats for free. And
I sat behind her mom. And we
were chatting. So we got a picture together.
It's cute.
Cute.
You want to see?
I do.
Oh, also, where I was going with that bad coaching is that they just fired her like an hour ago.
Yeah, I was going to say.
And I was like, I was waiting for that because I was like, oh, God, do you know?
Because I got that notification.
It's like, what does this is my hair by?
My sunglasses.
Cute.
Good seats.
Yep.
They got season tickets.
So that was all my one day yesterday.
It was very exhausting.
I don't know how I made it because it.
then I had to come home and also watch Set It Off since we're doing that for, but am I watching?
Yeah, well, you said that you were like, oh, I've seen it enough times.
I've seen it enough, but.
That's what a, what a, that day is like my day today, except yours was actually involved in getting in the car multiple times, which is, in my opinion, worse.
Yeah.
But look at you doing your civic duty.
You had a downtown.
You're a downtown girl.
I was downtown all day.
Did you blast downtown by Macklemore?
Downtown.
That song, that specific part.
I didn't know he had a song named Downtown, but I just know the song Downtown.
Yeah.
Dun, Tom, Tom.
Things, did he sample it?
Downtown.
I don't know.
I really only know the hook of it, and it is like a vibe.
That hook.
There's something in it.
Millennial Hope Course was in it.
Okay.
I'm just listening to for a second to hear if he did sample that song.
Because unfortunately, there's not a Wikipedia page dedicated to it.
Hmm.
Oh, there is a Wikipedia page.
My bet.
Yeah, I don't believe it's a sample.
Original.
Totally original.
Yeah, it sounds like a musical.
I'll have to...
It does.
I'll have to check it out more in debt later.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention.
You're welcome.
You're welcome.
Everybody, that's specifically the one that everyone's like,
okay, MacLmore,
I'm not going to thrift shop, but I'll give you downtown.
And everyone's like, okay, maybe this song is kind of good.
Like, maybe I'll listen to this one.
And I just have to say, though, the one for the one that I was like, people think of him as thrift shop.
I always think of him as the same loved one.
And then if I see an edit to that, unfortunately, I am crying.
Just, all I get is edits of like Newsome and, like, and it's just like him going around and like marrying couples in San Francisco.
And like, I'm just crying.
And I'm like, this is so cute.
Spotify Ads Manager makes it easy to create your first audio ad in minutes for free.

How about your weekend?
Every week.
My weekend was good.
I have no memory of what I did on Saturday.
That's what I'm trying to remember, too.
But I know I wasn't at home.
Yeah, me too.
I was out in about somewhere, but like I truthfully have no idea where that was.
Oh, I was out on Sunday.
I think I was home for Saturday, but it was out all day Sunday.
But, yeah.
We got plants.
Okay.
That's where we were.
We were getting plants.
We planted more things in the garden.
Lots of erosion control.
And now people are finally starting.
I'm seeing headlines all about the Super Al-Nino.
And people are like, wait, whoa, this is crazy.
Because they projected 450,000 people dying.
and everyone's like from like a tsunami and I'm like no no guys it's fucking with our crops too it's
fucking with our food all of these lasting effects power outages all of this kind of stuff and it does
not just affect coastal places it will affect everywhere also because you get a lot of your food
from the coast and seafood so yeah I was going to go on a rant about food because there's a lot
of shit happening but I'm just too tired to fully dedicate but depending on
when this trial wraps up next week, I'll tell next week.
Okay.
Yeah.
So, again, we're just planting a lot of like erosion control stuff because we don't live on a hill,
but it's not flat.
And also like mud, dirt.
You don't want that one when you have no drains.
Mm-hmm.
And you also have a underground situation too.
Yeah.
That, we have to fucking figure.
We like literally might just like we might just splurge and just do it.
Like, no, no, not that.
We might just like get the French drain and like do this whole draining system like and pay up like just it's not like going to be crazy expensive.
But it's just one of those things that's like we haven't needed it in years.
But I was like of all the years, we probably would need it.
It's likely going to be this year.
And then on Sunday woke up bright and early to go to my niece's third birthday party.
And oh my God, is she not like the most psychotic little weirdo who I'm like so deeply obsessed with?
She is like such a little odd ball.
Like she's just goofy and silly.
And I'm obsessed with her.
And we got, oh, another thing we did on Saturday, we did an excursion to go get her
birthday balloons because her brother had a like sports game the same time, like right
before her party started.
So he was coming at the end of the party being dropped off by a friend's parent.
But they had to go drop him off at his game first.
So they didn't have, they weren't going to be able to go get her balloons.
And they're like, we can't like keep them at the house.
because, like, the kids will destroy them.
So we went and got them.
So, of course, I'm being tasked with getting a little girl who loves pink and sparkles balloons.
Of course, I went overboard.
Purple, pink, a whole layer of them.
We got, like, a big, like, metallic pink three with, like, hearts and all this stuff.
And it was, like, so, so cute.
If anybody's curious where you can get balloons because Party City has closed,
Staples has, like, Party City little sections.
They've combined.
Yeah, but not all Staples have them.
So you figure that because we went to one and all they had was a single red balloon and they're like we can you can have a black string. It can be kind of graduation themed. And I was like I'm unsure how that is graduation themed, but for sure. So then on Sunday, but it was like so cute. So we had the balloons and we were going to the park and she sees me from afar and just like biggest smile on her face and like runs the whole length of the grass into my arms. And I was like, I'm thinking like, oh, she wants the balloons. No, she's just.
so happy that I'm there. And it was like so fun. She's like so, she's so, so, so syncing
cute. And she's so perceptive now that like she pointed to a guy walking by and she said,
he has Uncle Mott's hair. And I look. And he does. Like he's wearing a hat and he's like curly brown
hair like coming out from underneath the hat. And I was like, girl, you're spot on. Like that he does have
Uncle Mons's hair. And then she was talking about how much she loves her curly hair because I have curly hair too.
I was like, oh my God, this makes me so happy.
And she was just so cute.
We made princess crowns.
I, of course, was hogging the supplies because I had to make my crown as well.
And it was crazy to see because some of the kids are like friends, the older kid is friends with my nephew.
And then the younger one, it's going like same like preschool, whatever that she goes to.
And so like they're kids who I've seen for a while.
And my God, those motherfuckers grow up so big got to a point where I finally.
was realized I was talking to mom and I was like, where are your kids? And she was like,
right here. And I was like, oh my God, I can't believe these are the same kid. I'm thinking this whole
time being like, you just came because you're like, you know, friends. Like, I didn't realize
that this is your kid now. And also you have a whole new one. But I haven't seen them in like two
years or I haven't seen them in not even two years, probably like a year. And I'm like,
I guess that's the time it takes for you to have a whole new kid. Like crazy. But it was fun.
We took the cutest picture of all time. I literally look at it every day. It's pulled up on my phone
right now. I won't show people because, you know, she's not my kid. But I'm just, like, so deeply
obsessed with this photo of her and I. She's my bestie. And that was really fun. And so now
I thought that a full week from her party, which was Sunday, we were doing our family birthday.
So we get to give her the princess dress we got. She also, her mom told me, she goes, oh, she said
that you're making her an Elsa cake. And I was like, she has not said anything of that to me.
But I guess I am, I know I'm making her a cake. I didn't know it was Elsa. But she's like,
She probably just knew that cakes appeared.
Yes.
That was it.
Yeah.
She said Aunt Megan make Elsa cake.
And I was like, totally.
I will make you the Elsa cake.
We got this.
She was also so cute because I kept telling her I wouldn't push her on this, like, certain things on this playground unless she sat on her butt.
And then she would point to other kids.
And she goes, they're not on their butt.
And I said, well, I'm not pushing them.
And she was like, okay.
So very much like, well, I guess they're breaking the rules.
I also felt bad.
I had to like pick up a kid.
And it was just a reflex.
I immediately apologized to the mom.
Mom was like, no, thank you.
Because this kid, like, got, was stood up on this thing.
And his sister was about to, like, spin him.
And if I stood on this thing as it was being spun, I would have flown off and broken my neck.
Like, like, regardless of like any of that.
And I just immediately lifted the kid up.
And I was like, to the mom, I was like, so sorry.
And she's holding her baby.
And she goes, oh, my God, no, thank you.
Come over here.
And I was like, okay.
Yeah.
It's been several times where children do things.
and I just on reflex.
I don't even think.
I'll like pick them up or grab them as they're running, like falling off something.
Yeah.
Like get them.
And 99.9% of the time the parents like, thank you so much.
And there's just this one percent of time where they're like, no, I was in a locker room.
And I was fully dressed and they were fully dressed too.
But like the mom had two other kids and she was raining in them.
And then her son fell off the bench and I caught him.
And she was not happy about that.
And I was like, man.
I'm like of the mindset that like I'm always going to apologize, but like I'm not going to not do it.
Like I'm not going to like watch your kid fall or like eat shit or get like seriously injured or injure somebody else.
Like I'm not going to like watch that happen.
And like stop my instinct.
Because I also think if I stop that instinct like I'm going to stop that instinct with my niece and nephew too.
Like if I like tamper that down because like it is literally like it's just like a physical reflux.
that I'm like, nope, you can't stand on that thing.
As your sister's about to do a giant thing, you're going to break your, crack your skull open
because it's concrete right there.
Yeah.
But, yeah, so I thought there was a full week before we did family birthday.
And then this morning, as we're recording this Friday, Mott's wakes up and he was, like,
going to bring his brother, he left his golf clubs in Mots's car.
And he was, like, going to do some, like, work golf thing.
And Mott's was going to wake up early and drive them over to that there.
place before he went to work. And he was like, you know what, I'm not going to go anymore.
Like, don't worry about it. And he was like, oh, I'll just bring them Sunday. And he goes, no,
no, just bring them Saturday. We're seeing you Sunday. And he goes, it's Saturday, not Sunday.
And so I woke up with mods over me going, hey, I've got an Instacart order up here right now. What do you
need for the cake? And it's going to have to be tomorrow. And I'm like, shit. So before we
started recording this, I did bake the two layers of the funfetti cake. And I will be making the
frosting and everything, and then I overnighted the snowflake sprinkles, thankfully, and I will be making an Elsa cake. And we'll see. And I...
What does this mean? What all is going to be? Because an Elsa cake could just be snowflakes, icicles, or is it her face?
No, so I have a rule, and the kids know this. She's too young to understand this, but her mom knows this. Aunt Megan has a rule.
Aunt Meg will make you whatever birthday cake you want. I prefer if you give me options.
and then I get to pick which one I can do.
Aunt Megan doesn't do people.
Aunt Megan does not put people on cakes because Elma was a stretch for me because it's very
hard unless you get into fondant to make things look like realistic and they just look
like uncanny and like really like freaky.
People thought it was roast or ground beef.
I know.
Granted, I will say it did look pretty good once it was like all done.
Yeah, it looked great.
Yeah, but that was like the most I would be comfortable doing.
But for this, it reminds me, and I think he might have been around the same age when he wanted like a Paw Patrol cake, despite never having seen Pop Patrol in his life.
I went to Walmart and got a little, like, tiny, cute little Elsa doll to go on top of the cake.
So I thought at first I was going to do, but I was like, wait, I will have so many opportunities to do this when she's older.
I was thinking about doing like the Barbie dress cake with Elsa.
But I was like, I don't want to have to get new pans.
And thank God, because the pans wouldn't have arrived in time anyway.
So I'm like, okay, this, this is, this will be good.
So it'll be Elsa on the cake.
Some of my inspo is kind of like, I could have done Anna as well, but then that changed the color scheme.
And she just kept saying she wanted an Elsa cake.
So like it is, it is truly going to be just.
Top bitch.
Elsa.
So, um, I'm thinking it's going to be something similar to this.
I don't know if I'll do sprinkles, but, uh, without the Anna and Olaf kind of vibe.
cute yeah so we'll see we'll see there's there's so many variations and um there's also
so little time so we will see i was hoping and they actually thank god she gave me this
instruction because i was planning on being exponentially more ambitious i was planning on making her
a castle cake oh thank god thank god this girl said Elsa
cones like ice cream cone exactly
Maybe I'll do that for my birthday one year.
But I'm looking forward to her enjoying it and wearing her new princess dress.
I have to get wrapping paper.
We're out of wrapping paper.
There's just like a lot of moving parts for a three-year-old's birthday.
And Mott's was like, why don't we?
We can just tell them we can do next weekend.
And like I'm so adamant on not disappointing kids when you don't, when it's not necessary.
Because like as a kid who was like, like that heavily disappointed in people and things and all that stuff,
knowing when you become an adult and you realize like there are inevitable things that are like oh no this thing we were going to do is closed oh no the weather oh no blah blah blah or whatever and like sure it is like just a day but like you would never ask like an adult or who is like so excited for their birthday and you have all these plans to be like can we just wait another week for that and I'm like just because like she's little and it's like oh she won't care as much I don't I don't do care yeah they do care and like I know because like I
cared so much as a kid. And like obviously like she's so adored and like loved and spoiled and
and all of that kind of stuff. But I'm just like, no, she's also looking forward to seeing us and all
of that kind of stuff. So I'm like, I will make it work. And like the cake ultimately, it's important
because he's like, oh, we go a grocery store. And I was like, no, no, no, it's important that I make
her a cake, that it's an Elsa cake. It is not important that it's the best cake I've ever made.
But it is important that like, we're there. We do the family birthday. And that I have made her this
cake. Because like, also that's what her brother got. Like he's so.
used to that too. And so, yeah. Oh, and I found out we think, I think we're going to Disney in
Christmas, not Christmas, but like in the Disneyland Christmas time frame, like where it'll be
decorated for Christmas. And I'm thrilled. And I think my in-laws are also coming, doing the whole
family. Oh, the whole family. Whole family, except my brother-in-law because he hates Disneyland.
But then I did lecture him. I said, he's got to come if the whole family's going. I would love that.
But he says he doesn't like Disneyland, but I told him, I was like,
Like you are not allowed to tell your kids what the best rides are because if they were the best rides, you would be there.
You get no say in what we get, you get no say in telling them.
How would he know if he hates going?
Thank you.
That's exactly what I've said.
I was like, oh, you hate it so much.
So why do you remember all of their favorite rides when you were a kid?
And then he told the kids that that's what we should go on.
And then that's the rides we had to go on.
Also, that was 30 years ago.
Well, you know, they are still there.
Things have changed a lot.
Well, it's right.
Yeah, but like things have changed.
And there's additional things.
Like he hasn't been able to audit since then.
Well, that's like when I was like, oh my God, we have to like, part of the reason we didn't even end up going to California adventure because it was like, oh, they're not like that wasn't like he had no.
My nephew like wasn't.
I was like my guy, you would have loved Carsland.
Like I was the one who insisted we do.
I call it Autotopia, but like it's called something else.
It's I'm just being dyslexic.
There's like less letters or more letters in there.
And he, like, loved it.
But I was like, yeah, like, just because your dad didn't know that, like, this was going to be, like, an epic one doesn't mean that it's not epic.
So, but if we do the whole family there, then we can also break off and do rides for big kids, as in me and Mots, big kids.
But what rides are you really going on that they can't go on?
Oh, my God.
My favorite ride of all time.
Space.
What's it called space?
Space Mountain.
Yes.
I was like space, space something.
I love Space Mountain.
Oh my God.
It's the best right ever.
Do you like Disneyland?
No, you like World.
I prefer World, but Disneyland's fine.
It's not World.
That's the thing.
You said I compare it to World.
Oh, yeah.
Because it's to me, but Disney World is one of those places that I'm like, I couldn't go
every week.
I could go to Disneyland every week.
Disney World is like so huge and overwhelming.
Like that is a vacation destination.
Yeah. Disney land is for locals.
True, but it is a vacation destination.
But Disney World is just so much, there's just so much more to do.
And that's where we would go.
An insane amount.
Every year.
Mm-hmm.
Well, the safari, that part's insane.
So there's so, there's just Epcot, like, incredible.
Epcot's my favorite, to be honest.
Because it's space stuff.
We like space.
No, yeah, we love space.
And it's like future.
It's like a future.
like tomorrow land.
It's this whole, it's just great.
Like, I love it.
Yeah.
What would be your financial tax bracket for you to be like, I would get a Disneyland season pass?
I mean, I could get it now.
I know, but it's a matter of would you want, like, what would be the amount of like that you'd be like that I would spend the money on that because everybody spent the money on everything else that I care about more?
It's not, it's just that I don't go enough to.
be able to justify that.
Like, I've gone, since I've lived here in the last 14 years, I've gone maybe three
times.
Like, it's not enough for me to, it's, like, it doesn't make sense for me to do it.
Because I really want to get one because I'm the same way, because I don't go that often,
and I want to go more.
But I'm like, you want to use it as an incentive to go.
Like, if I have the chance, if I have like the choice between going to Disneyland and going
to the spa day, I'm.
picking a spa. I know that's why I said. Yeah, like, but it's not, it's not, it's not as far as like,
oh, time, you mean? Yeah, it's the time. Like, I've got to invest in driving to the O.C.
And then invest in being there all day. I'd rather just go to the spa. Yeah. No, it's fair.
I just like, I need to find some, maybe when we have kids, then I'll be like, we'll do this and this will be like a fun thing for me.
Because like, I just love it.
cousin son of meat what you need to. She loves Disneyland and y'all can go together. It's so fun,
but you're right. The thing is neither one of you like to drive. Well, and that's the whole, I'm,
I could drive if I'm with somebody else, but it's like, I'm not going to like, I couldn't be friends with
if someone's like, oh my God, I live in the OC and I go all the time. That doesn't help me.
I need someone who also lives here that we can drive together to go to Disney. Like, that would,
I would go all the time. Like, if I have a friend, I'll do.
I'll do whatever.
Like, we can bop here.
We can bop here, whatever.
But, like, I would, I know I would love it.
But, like, it is just, it is, like, far.
And it is, like, a wee bit of a hassle.
But, like, my God, do I, like, I literally have the best ever when I'm there.
Like, I love it so much.
And I'm so excited.
But I've never been around Christmas time.
And, you know, me, what else do I love more than Disney Christmas?
Yeah.
So I'm fucking thrilled.
And I can't wait.
Because, like, Mata's never been on the Indiana Jones.
read. It didn't exist when he went when he was little. It's fun. It is going to be crazy with my in-laws because
I want to say when they went for the first time because they went to school in like near the O.C.
It was like very, very. It was like so much more bare bones compared to what it is now.
That will make sense. That's the 80s. Yeah. I was looking up when it was.
Early 80s. No, when they went when they were in college. Yeah. So not the early 80s.
Late 70s?
I don't think it was early 80s because Mott's brother.
Mons was born in, well, maybe you're right.
Moss's brother is younger than me.
He's six years older than Mons.
Yeah.
I guess we're like...
Oh my God, it is 2026.
Yeah.
Okay, you're right.
So early 80s and late 70s.
Yeah.
Wow, wow, wow.
So, yeah, I'll be making that cake.
Making that cake!

just got announced that the book Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins
read that I read that I told everybody it was fantastic.
I recommend it to everybody.
It is getting adapted into a movie.
Of course it is.
And Mott's is reading it right now and he's also enjoying it.
And I was like, I love when he immediately takes my book recommendation.
He was like, okay, before we return it back to the library,
and we all read it too.
And I'm like, perfect.
So.
Yeah.
There's something that I think I'm going to write it as a novel and then shop
out, but I don't want my name attached to it.
Because it's something that I like, but like not what I want my brand to be.
But I think it would be an interesting story.
You don't want to be known for this.
That's our go-to girl for this.
And you're like, mm-mm.
Yeah, it's just this idea that I think would be a great idea.
Yeah, that I think would be a great idea.
But it's not what I want.
So I would pin and put it in and be like, let me get like an EP credit on it.
But I don't really want to be involved.
And you could un-
I'm so, like, I think it's such a great idea.
idea. But like to the point where I just want to give it to a screenwriter after it's done,
and I don't care what they do with it. Because a lot of times the authors care. I don't care what
they do with it. By the way, and that's the best adaptations. And the author's like whatever they
fucking want. Yeah. Just like, Bridgeton lady. She's just like, love this. Whatever,
Whatever Shonda says, love it.
Let's do it.
A girl with taste as she should.
Right.
I just started the Queen Charlotte novel.
We'll see where it goes.
But I'd say for the first so far, the first five pages,
it is just word for word, the opening scene.
And I was like, okay, it is longer than the script would be.
But I'm like, I do hope that there's like, we expand.
You have to think about it, though.
Like, it's coming from Shonda.
It's coming after the whole series has been written and what they, what she thought was going to be.
That's it.
And Shonda just wrote it so then there could still be a book adaptation for it.
Like she's coming, she hasn't written a fiction.
She's written a nonfiction.
They did it together, though.
Yeah, but I'm saying like she had what she wanted to write for the actual script and was like, okay.
Make it a book.
Let's just make it a book.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we'll see if I stick with.
Otherwise, I'm like, I'll just watch it because now it's just like playing in my head.
But yeah, speaking of pen names, though, I saw there were some Stacey Abrams books at that library.
Oh, yeah, I know that.
She wrote those while she was very much still a lawyer.
Yeah.
And yeah, I know because, you know, I met with her to talk about podcasts years ago before she actually started her actual podcast.
but she had got an overall deal with CBS, I believe, to adapt those books that she wrote under a pen name.
I was going to say, you could always undo it.
Yeah, I can undo it once because you're like, actually, now that my name is huge, it actually works out better for me.
Surprise, bitch, that was also me.
You're right.
Look how versatile I am.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Yeah, you can always do that.
Always do that.
Yeah, pull it.
Pull a Stacy.
Yeah.
So that's all I have for you, I think.
All right.
Well, thank you guys for listening.
Join us on Monday, maybe, depending on where I am with jury duty for a new episode of

And then Thursday, we've got, but am I watching where we're doing set it off?
Mm-hmm.

You guys, I've already tried.
She won't tell me anything even off the record.
No.
I know.
I know.
The trial will get thrown out.
Yeah, no, I believe you.
Yeah.
I believe you.
I am a vault.
Yeah.
But, you know, after it's over with, I can't talk about it.
And, you know, any other thoughts are feeling.
