New leader.
Oh, watch out for this guy.
White flag.
Right.
Clear.
Bring home.
Three light.
Go ahead.
Door, bumper, clear.
Woo!
Hey, everybody.
I am TJ Majors.
Spot of the 22 Cup car, the 99 truck.
And we're absent Brett, so filling him, filling in for him.
Whoa.
Whoa.
Whoa.
Okay, off to a bad start.
That was a great start.
Off to a bad one.
Oh, well.
What's up, guys?
Freddy Craft, spotter for Bubba Wallace,
Spencer Boyd this week.
I'll have Garrett Smith Lee next week in the old number nothing.
Freddie, was it your first All-Star?
No, I made the All-Star back with Biffle a couple years ago.
We wanted a segment in the open, but this one was way more fun.
I believe it.
Wow.
And it was exciting, too.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was pretty dramatic fashion.
You ran a guy through the grass?
Yeah, well, we tried to wreck a guy to start the first stage, Byron.
And we kind of had to slide up to take Larsen's lane away, couldn't protect both lanes,
kind of door slam by her in a little bit.
And then...
That was fun. That was exciting.
Yeah.
I mean, it was really exciting.
And then we put ourselves back in that same position the second time and kind of told Bubba,
this is your last shot.
You're not going to...
In a 10-lapse stage, you're not going to go to the back and come back.
So you're going to have to make this one work.
And I don't know.
Daniel might not be happy with this, but...
I mean, but that...
So one thing about Charlotte now is this not grass.
Yeah.
It's AstroTurf, and it looks slick.
Yeah.
So, obviously, Daniel got a couple tires.
We only had them down there, four tires in, I think.
Yeah, I was going to say, almost four tires.
At least majority of the car was over there, and it didn't take long for him to start spinning out.
But one cool thing about it was it didn't tear up the race car.
You know, he didn't tear the splitter off the car, didn't rip anything off, and he was able to keep going.
But that, the open was exciting.
I think that's what you want to see in races like that.
you know, guys going for it, willing to make a little bit more of an aggressive move to get into the All-Star race.
So what do you think?
It was cool to see how many people were disobeying for you guys.
I mean, Twitter on TV.
Crowdwind.
Crazy.
Yeah.
It was insane.
And Bubba pretty much grew up racing at Charlotte.
Like with, you know, Bandaleros, legend cars.
Like, you know, he was in a summer shootout for years and years.
And, you know, you could just see all the people.
Like, we'd take the lead on one of the restarts and I could hear the crowd down there.
So it was pretty awesome.
And then, you know, like, as soon as we won the stage, all the guys on the roof came over and high-five.
I don't ever hear him.
I don't ever hear him.
We take the lead.
You used to.
Usually it's booing.
It was nice to Bubba to let Daniel get a few laps around the Summer Showdown track down there.
Yeah, we know.
You know, Bubba was just showing, you know, Daniel the Summer Showdown track down there.
But, yeah, that's cool, man.
I thought it was pretty entertaining.
I actually watched that race from the grandstands as well.
Yeah.
It was pretty cool to see.
and the excitement, the excitement was good, I thought.
Yeah, and like we, you know, I was talking before the race with Brett about it.
And, like, we were talking about, like, you're going to see the guys tonight between the Open and the All-Star race that are hungry, that want that million.
You know, there might be guys that really don't need that million dollars that are just kind of out there.
And then there's other guys that are like, you know, damn, and I want that million or the guys that, damn, and I want a chance to race for that million.
So, you know, you could definitely see it.
The guy, like, Byron's move on, you know, we were pretty aggressive on Larson.
Byron was just as aggressive, you know, three, four to guys.
He's parted for him, you know, but he took advantage of it.
And even like Larson and the All-Star, you know, coming up the middle and that restart.
Yeah, it's almost like things worked out just right for those two guys to get position.
I mean, that's how it is sometimes.
I mean, he didn't do anything but hold it straight and get a big push.
Yeah, just got a good shove.
Yeah.
Easily could have got blocked out for one of them guys out front, like 18 or something.
We thought about it, but we almost clear it.
We needed to clear the nine, and we almost did.
Once we didn't get clear of the nine, it was like, here they come.
And you can't.
We had the one pushing us, and he had already opened up the middle,
so we're like, let's just keep the one pushing you, I guess.
And, you know, it didn't work out.
The All-Star race was pretty exciting as well.
I saw a lot of guys have their hands full.
It looked like there was some handling issues.
Yeah, you know, you could see it.
Like, we were actually pretty good all night long,
so we got into the race, and you could see you'd run a guy down from, you know, however far back.
And once you got to his wake, you know, it got tied or get snap-free up off
because you had a bunch of wheel cranked in and trying to keep it on the bottom.
But there was definitely handling issues.
The restarts are crazy.
I saw a lot of guys loose, really loose.
Like I saw Clint about spit out.
Well, I think that this package now, like with such low horsepower,
you just have to have your cars free as you can stand it, you know,
to keep the momentum wound up and keep it going fast.
Like a go-kart kind of thing.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
We almost came back to make it interesting at the end.
You guys were hauling ass at the end.
If you had a few more laps, I feel like it could have been.
We needed a yellow.
Yeah.
We needed a yellow flag.
We pitted with 11 to go and caution laps don't count.
We restarted to 17th and got back to fourth.
If there would have been a yellow with, I don't know how many lapsed us once we got there.
I think we could have made it interesting, but it was fun.
The damn, like I was talking earlier before the show started, we were in fourth on that last restart, last run, like five to go.
And I think it was the one bounced off the wall down the front straightaway.
And I'm like, oh, God, don't give this kid another chance on a restarting.
with like three to go.
Yeah.
We're not going to have any friends
after this night.
That was about five to go
maybe in there.
And then we were passing the one
and he was running us really tight,
I guess just trying to hang on there
and he slid up and hit the wall.
And the 10 hurt us a lot
because he had a big run
and got around us both again.
We had to pass him back.
But yeah,
I was actually hoping
that a tire went down or something.
I thought Kyle was going to have a tire going out
because he pounced a wall to go.
Yeah.
I was exciting though.
I thought the Osray was going.
Yeah, we had a bet on our team.
I don't know if you know, Quizno.
Is that legal?
He's got a shave, he's got a long beer, our engine tuner quiz now.
Is that quiz?
Yeah, quiz.
Yeah, you know, like long beard, like really long beard.
And he had made a comment a couple weeks ago that if we ever got a top five, he was going to shave his beard.
So we raced a count?
We raced a hell out of damn ten on the last lap.
I think he was in my Madden League.
Yeah, he probably, yeah.
Quiz Caliphate?
Madden League.
Yeah, yeah, that's him.
Seriously?
That's enough.
Really?
I want to know.
So did you celebrate?
after what went down.
I'm sure Brett wasn't a great mate too.
Yeah, so we stand next to each other, me and Brett, so I'm like, hey, where are we going
after this?
We picked a place and we went.
That's probably not very productive, you know, just thinking two of us standing here.
Yeah, I'm just saying, you know, it can have its moments.
But, yeah, so I was, before, you know, this is when we're running 20th, so I don't really know
what the hell's going to happen.
And I'm like, let's go get some drinks.
And then we finished fifth, and he's got a brawl on his hands.
I'm like, hell, let's go, damn.
He probably didn't know they were brawling until later, though.
No.
Oh, I text him.
I bet his phone was going off before he knew there was a brawl.
Megan, my wife texted me.
She's like, Clint's punching Newman in the head.
And I'm like, I wonder if Brett knows.
So I know, you know we're all parking that cop lot.
So he was leaving as I was walking in.
I'm like, you realize your boys down there punching the hell out of people?
And he's like, what?
I said, oh, yeah.
So I said, get on Twitter and check that out.
He's probably like, let me run over there and try and catch it.
Yeah, so then we went to a big house, a local place around here and had a bunch of drinks.
and you can almost walk from there can he yeah not that far from there he uh he was having fun
with friends on twitter oh we saw it was it was quite interesting oh yeah that we saw and the later
the night goes more interesting brett's tweets usually gets so this is why didn't you take his phone no
it's way more fun it's way more fun to just watch him dig a hole oh man well all right let's get
into it
Spot off that.
Not long you like it.
Spot off you don't like it and you say why either way.
That's really fitting the intro now to Brett.
And this all comes after the week that I say Clint doesn't look like a fighter to me as well.
And he just brought, I swear on last week's show, wasn't he talking about Clint trying to fight Ryan at like Dover or something last year?
He said RN.
Yeah, yeah.
Sorry, it was RN.
I'm sorry, it wasn't Ryan.
It was RN.
We foreshadowed that kind of.
Yeah.
I mean, we set this up.
People don't even know.
WWE, it's scripted.
It's all fixed, I mean.
I can't speak for the fighting part, but, man, he can run a marathon.
Like, he can, like, what do you mean?
He ran 20 yards.
I've never seen, maybe not run a marathon, but I've never seen somebody getting more
punches in a short amount of time.
Like, he must have threw 47 punches in seven seconds.
It was like a punching bag.
Do you know the saying, a little like the strings of a ceiling fan swinging each other in there.
That's what it looked like.
Somebody flipped the ceiling fan out high and then little strings flyer.
That's what Clint's arms looked like.
He said that, too.
What do you think Ryan's in there thinking?
Did he have an in-car?
How cool with that event?
I don't...
What does he think when he's...
I mean, he knows when he's running at full speed over there.
What's getting ready to happen?
You can see Ryan, like, trying to get out immediately.
There's no way those were quality shots.
They were, like, slapped.
They had to be.
I don't know.
When they interviewed Ryan, he had a little bit of redness to his one eye.
Yeah, but he's always kind of red.
Really?
Yeah, I thought he got him one time, maybe.
There was a little...
Look like his eye was maybe a little puffier.
I don't know what else he could have been punching in.
I mean, one way to confirm.
Well, surprise Brett by hanging around.
Yeah, Clint got a lot.
All right, go ahead.
We'll talk about it.
Yeah, we'll get to it.
I'm sure.
All right, first topic.
Stage finishes in the open.
Spot on, spot off, TJ.
Spot on.
I don't know how you guys beating and banging, spin it out across the line.
The crowd cheering, you can hear.
It's always a good time at the racetrack when you can hear the crowd outside your headset.
And I heard that numerous times.
so it was fun
guys going for it
this is
this is also why I think we need to
throw other guys there
that their care levels low
I mean what would Johnny Sauter do
to win to get into that race
or what if he was already in the big race
what would he do?
Yeah I would put it
like you were saying earlier
Johnny Sauter
a Tyler Redick
some guys like that are
guys that you know
like you see them
they hang it all out there
for a truck win
or an Xfinity win right now
they're going to get a million dollars
they might not make it out
but they're going to try
yeah they're going to
to do something.
If they're,
they're stars of the other series.
So let's lock them in.
Yeah,
absolutely.
As far as the stages go on.
How do you not spot off?
I'm going to spot off.
I'm going to spot off.
Ruin Freddy's dinner date.
I'll spot off the first stage ending.
How's that sound?
Sure.
But no,
that was even great, too,
even though, even though we took care of that problem
the second time.
We weren't going to let that happen twice.
Obviously spot on.
Bubba did a great job.
Both restarts, really,
to get to the lead.
And then, you know,
the one time we tried to defend,
Both lanes couldn't do it.
And then the second time, we just kind of run poor Swarres through the grass.
What were you telling him when you were to swariz?
Run through the grass!
Hit him!
I think I was just saying block as best you can or whatever.
Block the bottom, block the bottom.
And we did.
You did.
Clearly.
But yeah, it was a good night.
Kyle Larson becomes the first drivers to win the Open and the All-Star race.
How about you, Freddie?
I'm going to spot off just for the fact of what makes Kyle Larson.
What?
What makes Kyle Larson the winner of the Open?
Why is William Byron not the winner of the Open or Bubba Wallace?
In the record books, I guess.
I know.
I'm just saying, like, if you would call one of them the open,
I would call Byron the open winner because he beat everybody.
You know, like Larson, there was two guys out of the race.
You know, I mean, I understand what saying.
It's awesome for anybody.
I think it's happened a couple times.
Ryan Newman came out of the open to win the All-Star,
and Casey Kane, I think, got the fan vote to win the All-Star.
So it's happened a couple times where guys come out of the Open to win.
But, you know, it's awesome for Kyle.
Obviously.
Yeah, I think there's, I mean, really they should all get a credit for an open win.
I mean, they all won what they had to do, so that they're all the same, in my opinion.
But, you know, spot on to, this just makes guys hungrier to show you that if you get into the all-star race, anything can happen.
This guy qualified in through the open, started in the back, and left with a briefcase full of money.
Absolutely.
Oh, my favorite topic.
Clint Boyer versus Ryan Newman.
You want to play that audio from Brett?
Here's what Brett sent us on Sunday morning.
Was he sober?
I'm so disappointed it was Sunday morning because it was Saturday night.
That's your fault.
You were with him.
You should have recorded it.
I was in no condition to talk to anybody.
My take on the Clint Ryan thing is that, you know,
Ryan decided after the race was over to intentionally wreck Clint.
I look at that as if the football game was over and the quarterback's walking to the locker room
and all of a sudden a defensive end comes out of nowhere and hits him with a blindside shot.
You know, I'm not a fan of anyone being wrecked after the events over because guys are letting wind the nets down.
They're taking their seatbelts off.
You know, they're ultimately letting their guard down.
So to go intentionally wreck someone in that situation, I don't think is the right thing to do.
And I think when that happened, it may Clint reach his bowling point.
and if you've ever played sports,
when you reach your bowling point,
you've had all you're going to take
and you're going to react to it
and you're going to seek what you see as fair revenge at the time.
So obviously, Clint went to Newman's car
and let him know that he wasn't happy about it.
And regardless of which side you're on here,
you know, pro Ryan or pro Clint, that's up to you.
But I think that a lot of drivers in the garage,
if not all the drivers in the garage,
were probably on Clint's side and like,
oh yeah, finally. Somebody stood up to that guy
because it's easy to walk around with your chest out,
and I like you're a bully and a tough guy.
And we all know how Ryan races.
And look, man, it's racing.
You either race hard, you don't race hard.
You race hard sometimes.
You don't race hard sometimes.
But I think we all know that Ryan is a tough guy to pass on the racetrack.
And I think that it's not a surprise that he and Clint have had some issues.
You know, we even talked about it on door bumper clear.
So to see Clint reach his bowling point with Ryan Newman, not surprised.
I think, like I said, all the drivers are.
probably like, finally, you know, and I guess we'll just see what happens moving forward.
You never know what's going to come from these things.
Well, how about TJ?
First of all, I don't know what happened during the race to make these guys mad.
I sure hope it wasn't a block of some sort.
It was like a chop block, Newman said.
So the guy that was mad for somebody blocking last week got through the block this week
and thought the guy was a lap down too, right?
When he wasn't.
He wasn't.
And he wasn't a lap down.
So the guy had every right to be racing doing what he was doing.
It sounds like Clint chopped him because he thought he was a lap down.
I'm not sure, but that's what I'm gathering here.
Clint didn't think he was racing.
He thought Ryan was just being a tool racing like that.
And he chopped him and Ryan didn't like it.
But even after the race, I didn't, I watched the video,
and Ryan's car doesn't run up there and move like he's trying to turn into Clint.
His left side tires don't leave the other line.
When you wrecks on me intentionally, you turn hard right, you hook them,
and you send them. You don't just bump them
like that in my opinion. So I haven't seen
video of this yet, but it's my
understanding that, I've seen the video
of that, of what you're talking about.
But it's my understanding that they've run into each
other three or four times after the race is over
and that's what kind of got Clint fired up.
Like I guess Ryan
hit Clint after the race is over. Clint went back
and door slam Ryan
and then what you
see is the, you know, the end of it
where we're, and you know, I don't know.
Like you said, it's hard to tell.
if he just runs up there and hits him,
if Clint comes down a little bit.
But, I mean, it's just uncalled for.
When a guy goes after a guy, you go up there and you see steering wheel movement.
Like, he goes up there and gets to the gas quarter panel and turns one way or the other.
Ryan was on the other line.
I don't think Ryan went up there and intentionally thought he was going to put Clint into the wall.
I don't think that would, I don't think that's what happened.
I think it ended up being like that.
I don't think that's the intentions of it.
But I love, I loved Clint's interview, you know, about, well, when you do that,
you're going to get poked in the nose or whatever.
Yeah. But my only problem with it is, if you're going to fight, fight. Let the guy get out of his car and have words with him then. Don't, and take your helmet off. If the guy's got his helmet off, take your helmet off. I noticed even afterwards, after Ryan got out, he still didn't unstrap that helmet. Well, he's not an idiot. I mean, I heard a pretty funny quote the other night, and I'm sure it was probably Brad or somebody that said, you know, when helmets are an option, wear the helmet. You know, why would you, why would you voluntarily?
get yourself punched in the head. You might as well, why, you might as well wear your helmet.
I mean, if you're going to say it like that, I mean, is the quarterback go back out there after the
game and punch somebody? Is the quarterback leave his helmet on too? And he goes, I mean, if you're going to go,
I don't mind two guys getting mad at each other. But if you're going to go, think you're going to
poke another guy in the nose, like he said, take your helmet off. Yeah, I don't think, and it's not
something like, I mean, I don't know how many fights you've been in and or anybody really. But
But like when you're going to fight, when I get to the point where I'm five, seven.
How many fights you think I get it?
Not many.
But like when you get to the point when you're going to fight somebody, you're not thinking
very rationally.
It's like I'm going to go over there and beat that guy's ass and hold on.
Or was he thinking real rationally?
Well, have you seen Ryan?
I mean, come on.
I think that he just ran.
I mean, he probably got out of the car as fast as he could, left his helmet on and
ran over there.
Now, you know, obviously if you want to have a fair fight, yes, you should let him
get out of the car, let him get his helmet off.
But you're not thinking...
Your adrenaline's probably pumping.
You're thinking I'm going to beat his ass.
So you're not thinking I'm going to give him a fair shot of beating my ass.
I'm going to beat his ass and then we'll figure out what happens later.
I understand that part of it.
But even afterwards, after you let Ryan get out, he's still got that helmet on.
Well, like I said, he's not idiot.
I mean, strategic thinking there.
So, but I thought it was great.
Two guys, you know, I don't really necessarily agree with the, you know,
putting somebody in the wall after the checker flag either.
Yeah.
Do we know if they, like, how them.
meeting. Has Brett mentioned anything about the meeting?
No. I should tweet him. I haven't
really talked to Brett. Can somebody tweet, Bright, and ask him
how the NASCAR huller meeting went?
But, yeah,
I don't know. I don't want to see anybody
get wrecked after the race into the wall. I don't think that's fair.
From what Brett was saying,
the thing that really, really pissed Clint off
was the fact that he had already kind of loosened his
belts up and was, you know, maybe
not had him off, but like, you know, loosen them up a little bit.
Yeah. And that's,
that's dangerous, you know, I mean.
That's still, even after the race, man, you should keep your belts off until you get to pit road.
You know what I mean?
You're just not expecting it.
Yeah.
Something like that.
Well, I mean, if the guy's mad at you or whatever, he might want to keep him tight.
There's a Ryan Newman, Clint Boyer autograph appearance at Bass Pro Shops on Thursday.
If anyone's in me coming to the races, go check it out.
Does Clint wear a helmet?
They'll be fine.
They'll be fine by then.
They're probably fine now.
You know what I mean?
I don't know, man.
Or act as if they're fine after it.
It sounds like there's a pass, so I don't know if something with a pass just gets fine after something like this.
We'll see.
Okay, well, Alonzo fails to qualify for the Indy 500.
This one was sad.
Spot on, spot off, T.J.
I'm spot on for the whole thing and how he's handled and how McLaren has handled it.
Yeah.
They were very professional saying they're not going to buy a car, make their way in.
They basically said, we failed to do it.
He wrecked their primary car in qualifying.
It was practice.
Yeah, okay.
So he wrecked the primary car in practice and just failed to, you know,
failed to get it rebuilt to be fast enough to be in.
And, you know, you're not fast enough.
You're not in.
And I think that's kind of cool, you know,
and they handled it with class as best you can.
So I'd love to see him in that race,
but I respect the fact that they're very respectful not making it.
Yeah, I 100% agree.
Spot on, you know, even his primary car didn't have a lot of speed.
They were worried about making it with it.
it seemed like.
So, you know, but this is the way qualifying should be everywhere, everything.
If you're not fast enough to get in the race, you're out of the race.
Like, forget provisionals, forget, you know, whatever else.
Just if you're good enough to get in, you're in.
If not, go home.
And they're handling it the right way, like T.J said, not trying to, you know,
knock somebody else out of the race.
There's not excuses.
Yeah.
So do you think, I mean, there's a lot of talk on, at least on Twitter and just in the news about, you know,
Indy cars should allow if you're running for points for the full season.
then you should be allowed to really automatically be in the Indy 500.
Do you guys agree?
I do to an extent because more cars show up for that race and they're one-off deals.
So it would be nice to know that the top 20 were locked in or something like that.
If you're running, once you get outside the top 20, you're not probably race for a championship.
I mean, it's still point money at the end of the year.
So if you're committing and running that whole season, I feel like you should be rewarded to do it somehow.
Or maybe a provisional?
type of thing?
Yeah, sure.
I don't know.
I think, especially that race, the history of that race,
the fastest of three guys race.
If you're not in the top of 30s.
Maybe make it not a point race.
I don't know.
Yeah.
They're still going to run it.
Well, I just think about like James Hinchcliffe,
like not making it last year and almost didn't make it this year.
I mean, if you're running a full season and you're putting all the money in the
work into it, it's like, do you allow it?
I don't know.
Maybe the top 15.
I don't know.
Yeah.
You got to keep the guys that are running for a championship.
You know, since we have so many other.
cars showing up for this race.
I don't know how many more that are getting for this race than they normally would,
but imagine just imagine running over something on the apron going out to make your
qualifying lap and two times in a row or something, something just freak happens.
And you're out of the whole year championship because of something like that.
So I don't know.
I'd maybe work on something.
All right.
Let's take a break and see what's coming up on the Dale Jr.

Dirty Bo.
And we are back.
We'll head in the fast lane.
I'll give these guys three topics pertaining to racing and one.
that is off the wall. They'll have 30 seconds to respond to each. First question. After Saturday
night's pit road scuffle, what is your all-time favorite NASCAR fight? T.J.
I think my all-time favorite fight, I got a lot. I like all of them. I like all of them.
As long as nobody gets like breaks arms and legs or something, they're exciting and it's part of it.
I mean, you can fight in hockey. Fight in our garage. Yeah, why wouldn't you? Yeah, why wouldn't you?
I mean, the goalies can come out of the nets and fight.
Maybe the spotters will just start dupes.
That would be great.
That would be fun.
I think you've got to go that Daytona 500,
Allison Brothers, Kale Yarborough.
It's probably the best fight ever,
like just beating hell out of each other.
First time we're ever on live TV.
So, I don't know, that was a great one.
What was it, Ambrose and Casey Mears a couple years ago.
That was a pretty good one.
That was probably the best shot, you know,
the best one punch in fight history.
But I think just the all, the brawl that happened in the end.
infield or down on the apron at Daytona they hear with the Allison's and the Arboros
was pretty good.
Yeah, I definitely think you go with the best landed punch in a fight was probably by Ambrose
because that connected fully to the face.
Yeah.
And it was good.
There's a lot of short track fights that are good too.
Like, I mean, anything, Stephen Wallace's in is usually pretty good.
They had a fight Saturday morning at practice at Bowman Gray.
Practice.
In practice?
In practice?
No, who was it?
I know the guy's name, Stoltz.
Derek Stolts, I think his name is,
and Holloman, John Holloman,
who used to run a couple truck races.
But I think they had like an ongoing feud.
Like, I've seen some videos on.
Practice, huh?
And you know, there's like a morning practice session at Bowman Ray.
And next thing you know, there's a video.
These guys, I mean, the best part about the video was,
so it's just two guys, they walk up to each other.
I'll have to find it.
But they just start punching the hell out of each other.
And the pit crews, nobody gets involved.
Like, they just let them fight it out.
See, that's what, when two guys get into it as well, that's kind of what needs to happen.
You need to kind of let them fight for a minute, and then when they fall down, break it up.
I thought NASCAR did a pretty good job with that this weekend.
They kind of, like, at the end, they were like this.
No, the crew guys jumped in.
The guy stood right between Ryan and Clint.
Come on, guys, you're not.
But before that, I don't think anybody noticed it because he's running too fast, like, and then people came.
The crew guys getting involved where it gets out of hand.
You know, you're going to be biased to your driver and protective over it.
But, yeah, I don't know.
What really drives me insane is when, like, women try to get involved.
Like, when there's a guy, like a – we had a big brawl.
I was on a modified team at New Smyrna, and we wrecked the guy for the win.
And who was it?
I was bought him for Ronnie Silk, and we wrecked Keith Rocco.
Yeah.
So Rocco pulls in victory lane, and I swear, 20 on 20,
brawl breaks out. So I'm like wrestled over the hood of a modify with this guy and we're
punching each other. And Megan is like, stop. She's pulling my, I'm like, will you get the
out of here, please? So one of my buddies grabbed her and like dragged her off. So I'm like,
what were you thinking about? Like there's 20 people fighting each other and you're like,
hey guys, stop. I'm like, you're a hundred pounds soaking wet. Please don't get killed in the
middle of this fight because then I don't have to kill everybody. And that fight was broken up
with pepper spray. Everybody got pepper sprayed. It was terrible.
Did you get pepper spray?
I got a little bit.
I did not get as bad as some of the guys.
I heard pepper spray is really bad.
It is the worst.
I'm telling you, I got like a mist from somebody else getting sprayed,
and we had my crew chief, like, he couldn't see.
The next day, so we were with Speed Week, so we were there all week.
And the next day, he, Clyde Hart owns New Smyrna.
Yeah, so the next day, he's like, hey, can you do me a favor
and take the pepper spray away from them guys and just give them guns?
Because I'd rather they shot me last night.
They didn't do that pepper spray.
I had an officer on the roof last week telling me that,
it'd rather be taser than pepper sprayed.
Or I mean, rather be, yeah,
rather be taser than pepper sprayed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Interesting.
It might have to get some pepper spray.
Well, anyways.
What if a guy read up to Clint and Ryan
and just started spraying him in the ice
because they were fighting?
Stop, you guys.
Clint flips his visor down.
Is that how the officials like tell you to stop?
What if the officials got to start carrying pepper spray?
Or tasers.
Oh, my God.
All right, go on.
Let's get carried away.
Denny Hamlin said he'd be just as happy with the Coca-Cola 300 as the 600 and that people would be more interested in watching a shorter race than a five-hour event.
Would shortening this race be beneficial for the sport, Freddie?
Yeah, I think so.
I mean, it's so long.
It's always been long, and now that we're slowed down about 20 miles an hour, it's going to be that much longer.
I mean, I'm all for tradition, and the World 600, Coke 600 is obviously one of the crown jewels of our sports.
So I don't really want it to change, but I would not really be against them cutting it in half, so we're not up there.
I mean, not only that.
Now, this year, we're going to have a halfway break, I think, come down pit road at the end of the stage just to make it a little bit longer.
So I don't know.
You know, I'm all for tradition and stuff, but this race is going to be really long Saturday, Sunday.
I don't think we should change it.
One of the things about one of the 600 is that you survive that long.
It's a long race.
It's what makes it the crown.
Yeah, I mean, it's the Coca-Cola 600.
I mean, it's a long race.
You've got to survive it.
You've got to endure the heat, the elements, everything that can be thrown at you.
There's so many things that can go wrong every single race.
Tires.
I mean, you could, who knows, Fender.
There's so many things that can happen to hurt your race.
And to have, I mean, it's just, I like it how it is.
I think that when this race was drawn up, you know, back in the 60s, 70s, whenever it was, you know, the idea was 600 miles.
most of the cars weren't going to last.
And now...
They're lasting.
They're not...
They can go forever.
So, you know, you're more worried about your driver, you know, and...
And, you know, back a few years ago, the cars wore out.
You know, the cars were harder to drive.
It was more of a, you know, man versus machine test.
Now, I just feel like the cars are super easy to drive.
Tires are going to be rock hard.
You can probably run them all night without changing them.
You know, it's just, you know, like I said,
I don't want to see it get changed, but I wouldn't be a...
against it. Is it the same tire as the All-Star? Probably. I mean, the top, there was
pretty good fall off. I mean, for we had, they had, what, like 10 laps on their tires? And we
drove from 17th to fourth with 10-lap better tires. So, I mean, it could be interesting. We'll
see. In two of the last three six-hundreds, the winner has led over 375 of the 400 laps.
Now, that's boring. With Martin Trex Jr. leading 392 in 2016. And, and,
and Kyle Bush leading 377 last year.
Will a driver dominate like this again on Sunday?
And if so, who shall it be?
T.J.
I don't think this domination will happen like this time.
I think there's three or four pretty good cars that could battle each other.
It's going to be hard to get away from each other.
So I think with this package,
lappers are going to be hard to get around us.
Narrow track in Kansas.
It's going to be hard to get around lapers.
you know, it's going to give the guy run behind you
right now and then kind of like a sprint car race a little bit,
but I don't know who it can be.
I would say,
I would say you'd take any guys the four,
18 will be good.
Who else has been good?
22, unfortunately.
So.
Yeah, I won't think it's boring if 22 leave.
Yeah, no, I'd listen.
I think it would be a great race if the 22 led every single lap.
I agree.
You know, obviously you don't want to see this happen.
This is where they get monotonous and nothing's really going on.
I think if it was going to be somebody, I think the four would probably be your favorite.
Harvick, he was really strong in Kansas.
He was really strong Saturday.
Only in the daylight.
He was really strong Saturday and had some pit stop issues.
So if I had to pick somebody, it'd be him.
But hopefully it doesn't happen.
Like TJ said, it's kind of harder to get away from each other.
So I don't think you'll see this guy, you know, check out and dominate the have in the past.
Resarts are tough.
Yeah, for sure.
Off the wall topic.
Today is National Be a Millionaire Day.
If you had one day to spend $1 million on one thing, what would it be?
On just one thing?
Seriously.
I don't know.
We can't talk about this.
Just a million?
I mean...
And just one thing.
I mean, if you're a millionaire, you have over one, right?
It could be like 40 million, right?
But pretend you're gifted the ability to be a millionaire for a day.
Okay, so I have like multiple millions then.
You have one million to spend on this national.
Just one?
That's kind of sucks.
I mean, I think you, I mean, sensibly, you would buy a house.
Yes.
Me and Brett's world, we would probably take a vacation.
I would buy an average house because what people don't understand is,
you still got to pay for that house.
You still have to pay for utilities and all this stuff to keep it up.
So if you buy this really big, 950,000,
thousand dollar house. It's going to be hard
to maintain it after a couple years.
So I would
I don't know, man, I'd just pay everything
off and... Can you invest it and make more money off of it?
I would buy like Apple's... I'd buy a million
in Apple stock for one day and then sell it a day
later for like a profit.
Yeah. I would go on a yacht. That's what I'd do.
That's what I was getting at. Oh,
somebody else's already doing that. Well, that's what I was getting at. If I had
multiple millions, I'd buy this gigantic
yacht that I would only see twice a year
or something that I probably couldn't even afford to run.
but yeah.
There's a guy in there that looks like Brett.
I mean, the bald version of Brett.
But when he has his hat on, sorry, I didn't need to change the subject.
What do you mean?
Brett doesn't have hair?
But like really like way different without that.
Oh, that's right.
Sorry.
Is this another prank?
He's gone.
Yeah, Brett's in the shot.
He's wearing a polo and a hat like he normally does.
All right.
Asked CBC.
First question, Mills underscore Ack, right?
Maybe.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Sure.
Good job, pock grass.
Are there shop or crew incentives for winning the all-star race or does all of the money go
straight to the driver?
Ooh, that's a good one.
I've never won it.
TJ?
I think it's just all on how your deal's worked out.
Yeah.
I think most of the drivers, if they do win something like this, I think they take care of the crew guys
pretty well.
I mean, you know, just, I mean, it's not like you get $50,000 on them.
I've heard that.
they get a really good bonus.
Not necessarily...
I'm saying you just get a bonus.
I'm sure the...
I think the money,
would you say the money is split,
probably owner, the driver,
probably 50-50,
and then they can...
Yeah, then taxes on that.
So, really, the guy...
I've heard it varies.
Contract depends on what you signed.
Yeah, but...
And then I mean, every race one,
I think you get a bonus, right?
If you're a crew guy.
Just depends on how your contract is.
Depends on what position you are.
I would say the driver,
more than likely,
would, if they win something like this,
he's going to take care of his guys pretty well.
Yeah, I mean,
a lot of teams,
I know, I think Stuart Haas is one of them that, like, if the four car wins, everybody at Stuart Haas, you know, gets a bonus or, you know, say, I don't know if that is, how it is a Penske.
But, but, um, no, for real.
I know Hendrik used to be that way, I think, wasn't it?
Yeah.
So I was there when, I was a Hendrick when Jimmy won, you know, a few championships and I got championship rings from them.
And I didn't win one Teledegger race with Jimmy, the tandem race.
Yeah.
But, um, you know, I don't.
It's hard for me to look at them and be like, oh, man, I really did something there.
I think the shop guys get more.
I don't know.
You get bonuses?
I don't get bonuses.
Yeah, but mine's really weird.
Mine's really weird.
This question is from Tom Berlin 58.
Is Larson the most likely replacement when Johnson retires?
What do you guys think?
Nope.
No.
Do you know something?
What do you trying to say?
What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Um,
Nope.
Where does Larson go after Gannasi?
Does he resign with Gennasi,
or does he go somewhere else?
I think he goes somewhere else.
Oh yeah,
like where?
Someone else is retired sometime soon?
Retired.
Oh, like a single car team?
Uh,
that already retired?
No.
No, like a single car team that has connections to multi-car team?
Possibly.
But I think,
I think if he's going to end up somewhere,
you're looking at a guy that has a similar,
an owner that has a similar background.
TJ, do you know something we don't know?
I know nothing.
I think you know something.
Just here so I don't get fined.
Those are the worst.
Brett's, it's so much easy to get secrets from Brett.
All right.
That's how I like it.
So you're pregnant?
No.
That's not how Brett told me.
I hate you, Brett.
All right, so Brett's not here today.
and a friend of mine that his father works on the 22 car with me as well and has been around for a long time.
His name's Austin Fox.
He's going to tell us a little story about Brett that we're all going to enjoy.
Go ahead, awesome.
So I think we were flying to Kansas, and we were with Elliot's back when he was with Sadler,
and we were going to a signing at Walmart, and they got wild on the plane.
and we show up to Walmart in front of all these people,
and they're just signing autographs.
Like, it's just another day.
There was an M&Ms, like a giant M&M's car.
I'm like, dang, man.
Like, Elliot, I want that.
How old were you?
27.
I'd have to say, I don't know, man.
I was a child, very young.
Like six, seven?
Probably.
Nice.
And so I'm like, Elliot, I want that car.
Brett's like,
We'll just send it to the house.
You know, get his address.
Two weeks later, my brother and I have this M&M pedal car shipped to our house.
Fred.
So, yeah.
The moral of the story was Brett was drinking in the morning again.
Sounds like Brett was having a really good time.
Sounds like Brett hasn't changed much.
Yeah, it sounds like, I think, you know, the scary,
the thing that really scares the hell out of me is that I think he's, like,
actually calmed down over the last few years.
because I don't think I could have hung out with them 10 years ago in the heyday of...
Yeah.
But if me and Brett met each other before cell phones, I don't know that either one of us would be alive right now.
Cell phone cameras and...
Yeah, there's...
I don't think that would have worked that well.
No.
But, uh, well, thanks, Austin.
Austin is, um, kind of a little history lesson.
Your grandfather is Ray Fox.
Mm-hmm.
So, and he's, uh, Hall of Fame eligible already, right?
Yep.
I think he's the longest nominee on the board.
Yeah.
Wednesday, I hope he gets in.
Anyone who's listening, vote.
Yeah.
And Austin, he's an avid listener, and he wanted to come check out the show.
So I had him come here with me and check it out.
So thanks for coming, Austin.
Yeah, thanks.
Any other stories, please share.
Thank you.
Any about TJ too.
No.
No stories about me.
I do have a question, though.
Oh, good.
Can we do a question?
Yeah.
Sure.
Okay.
So, TJ took me up on the spotters booth at Martinsville.
And this is for you two.
How in the world, like we're talking about the 600 and how long it is, how do you stand for the entire duration of the race?
Well, if you're Hirschman, you don't.
Yeah, Hirschman sits down the whole race.
Hersman brings a folding chair and sits in that thing.
He really makes it like his living room.
He's got like a drink cup there.
He really does.
He's got like a bag of can.
He really does.
He moves in for the weekend.
I don't know, man.
He doesn't stand still, though, because he runs to the bathroom every caution.
Yeah. I have a blighter the size of a string bean.
Who did you yell at?
Who was in the bathroom?
You went down on a caution, and there was somebody, I think it was somebody's girlfriend?
I don't know.
Megan was like, I thought TJ was going to kill somebody.
He came down.
Probably was.
Because we only, like, there's like a little room there.
You don't have long.
We can stick some family members in, like a, it's an old scoring tower or something.
So, like, the only thing we kind of tell them is, like, try not to be in the bathroom when the yellow comes out
because there's going to be two or three guys running down here to maybe use the bathroom.
And you don't have a lot of time.
And Megan said this girl, like, as soon as yellow comes out, she's like, oh, I'm going to go to the bathroom.
And she went in there and TJ come running in did not go well for her.
I mean, dang, if you're...
It's only common sense.
You've got to go.
I don't have time.
She's got 500 laps to go.
Yeah, I don't, yeah, I've never had to use the bathroom during the race.
I don't know if I'm just lucky or just well...
Never?
Never.
Never.
I go right before the race and then I go like four times during the race.
I go like every stage break.
I'll go.
You are gone all the time.
I am all the time going, I'll tell Joey on the radio, he knows when I say, I'll be right back.
He knows where I'm going.
So, yeah, people always ask like, what do you do when you got to go?
And I mean, there's been, there's been some issues.
Twice where I've been like, and this is before stage breaks or it's been like, okay, this is going to happen.
Like, who's going to watch?
What's going to happen here?
Because this is going to go down right now.
Like, okay, guys, don't mind me.
I'm going to go here.
Everybody get tunnel vision.
What do you do?
If it's that bad?
I don't know.
It's never even come close.
You know, it's one of them caution-free races where it's running two, three-hundred laps or whatever.
I mean, there's been some guys that, like, it happened this year.
I figured who it was, but Stevie Reeves had to take over because, like, the guy
stomach's stomachs a stomach got sick and he.
had to go to the bathroom.
Like, had to leave.
This is not something he could do on the roof.
Would you leave the race or would you go?
If I,
I depend.
I think there's two different circumstances here.
What do you mean to?
One or two.
One, you could probably pull off on the roof if you really had to.
Two, no, no chance.
I'm going to the bathroom.
Sorry, Bob.
Don't wreck.
Oh, my cow.
The one that I had that was really bad.
I had to be so bad, man.
It was a night race at Texas.
and I was looking around like, all right.
I mean, I could barely even focus on the car.
So you are really glad there are stage breaks now.
Absolutely.
They saved TJ's life.
Oh, my gosh, yes.
So Joey Meyer carries this thing that is for like spaceships or something.
And it's got like little gel plastic things in it.
And it turns into, it's little plastic things.
It turns into a gel and it hardens up when you go in it.
I might need to get some of them.
What?
Yeah.
So like if you get that bad.
Is it around?
It's tiny.
It's just a little, it's like a bag, and it has the stuff in it.
And if you have to go, you go in it.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't really know how to respond to that.
I mean, I'm telling you, you know how you, when you, imagine right, you're an hour
away from the bar or whatever.
You've been drinking already.
You're getting a ride there.
I'm not driving.
You're riding in there.
How bad do you have to go by time?
Real bad.
Okay.
Imagine that.
And you're spotting a race.
You're like, oh, my God.
I mean, I've had to pee bad before.
before, but I've just never, for whatever reason, it's never happened during a race.
I don't know why.
Look what you just started.
Good job, Austin.
Well, when I was up there, I think I went maybe four or five times, and I didn't make it, though, a whole race.
Yeah, I would never make it a whole race now.
And I'm standing there, I'm like, God, my back, my knees.
Oh, yeah.
I'm like, holy cow.
Well, you know what it is.
You've got to be in perfect physical condition, like all of it.
Obviously, obviously spotters are athletes.
Spotters are athletes, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Absolutely.
Yeah, I mean, we stand in the sun all day.
Sure.
But, yeah, I don't mean, I think you get used to it, ma'am.
I think you get used to it.
But, you know, other than that, my biggest concern is a tower, it's raining in one.
Well, we got to run the jets down the front for some reason.
Tower is weepers on the front stretch.
Is it raining?
There's something all over our window down here.
All right.
That's disgusting.
Woo.
I'm not standing next to TJ ever again.
No stand-up win.
Well, I think we ranting.
Or downwind.
Is there anything?
I got to ran again.
So how did we get kicked out of the little 600?
I don't know.
Probably because not enough of us would show up.
We had a decent field all the time, I felt like.
I feel like we had to stretch it a little bit because we were bringing,
we were bringing guys in that weren't like full-time spotters.
Basically, the bottom line is...
Tell everybody with a little...
GoPro puts on this little 600 this week.
It's a go-car race where they get some of the cup drivers to come out and they do a little race.
It's fun.
It's very fan-friendly.
You get right up there and the guys, the drivers are right there.
They come out, sign some autographs.
There's little, you know, food tent things there.
It's a fun family thing.
So normally we have a spotters race there that usually gets way more physical than the driver race.
But the bottom line is, is the first year we did it, I think we had a pretty good turnout.
It was a pretty good race, I think.
There are spotters fighting in the parking lot.
Yeah, I mean, you know, one guy left his helmet on,
just swinging another guy.
But most of them, we could have a good time
if we could get some of these other spotters to come out.
And we got a lot of good,
there's a lot of good personalities on the roof
that I wish would come out to these things.
Like the first year was fun because everybody went and did it.
Then nobody wants to lose.
Exactly.
So going back to like the perfect physical condition,
I'm fat.
And there's a few of them.
that are fat. And, like, it was a fun race in the back. Well, then the next year, I was the only
fat guy that came back because nobody else wanted to lose. So, like, I had to do something stupid
and cut the track off and try to wreck T.J. and Tyler. But, um, but it was still fun.
Like, and it's not really the fact of losing. Like, it was fun to just get out and, like,
you see fans and there. There's a lot of people there. And it's cool. What's still going on?
I think it's Tuesday night, right? I think so. I think it's Tuesday night. And if you're in
the area, go out to my GoPro Motorsplex, you'll see a bunch of drivers, a bunch of the crew guys.
Great race right, go-carts.
And it's a pretty cool deal because to replace our race, I guess they're having an old-timers
race.
Well, that's kind of what the spotter race would be if they would come out.
But I seen like, you know, lake speeds run in.
See?
And yeah.
That would be fun.
He could run in the spotters race.
Yeah.
So, I mean, it was fun.
But, you know, it just sucks that we're not going to be involved this year.
Yeah, you know, but they're going back to the personality as though.
We have some, a lot of X drivers on the roof.
Oh, a ton of them.
So we could, you know, it'd be fun, but none of them want to lose.
No.
They don't want to lose to guys like, Tyler.
Green.
TJ.
I guess, yes.
TJ killed us one year.
Two times, actually.
You killed us one year.
It was a good race as a second.
So, you know, it's, it would be a lot of fun if we could get, if we could get 15 and
20 of them guys that come out, oh my gosh, it would be a blast.
And the best part about it was Brett would get into a fight every year.
Brett's mad at somebody.
He's mad at somebody every go-car race.
He almost broke Ford Martin's neck like two years ago.
I thought that was pretty interesting.
He did.
You know what he did?
He ran into him after the race is over, didn't he?
He did hit him after the race.
So that's kind of ironic.
So how awesome would it be to see Ford running across with his helmet still on?
Just wearing Brett's out.
Just wearing Brett out.
How awesome would that be?
Just 47 punches in once.
And Ford's a little guy.
I feel like he would get 47 punches him before Brett would move his arm.
Just saying, that would be entertaining.
I would pay to see it.
We would have a good race if we would.
we could get some of these guys to come out because a lot of the people listen to the show from the past.
We've guys on the roof like Andy Houston, Rick Corelli,
we got, you know, Tim Fedewa.
We got drivers up there that have, they have trophy cases full of trophies, you know,
whether they're weekly racing series trophies, but you had those three guys up, man.
You had the trophies that Fidoa and Corelli have.
They've got hundreds and hundreds of trophies.
It could have been great, but like you said, nobody wants to lose.
fun, but nobody wants to lose it.
They won't even show up to take the medicine from the youngsters or the skinny guys.
But it was a fun event.
Hopefully, hopefully the old time or event's really terrible when we could bring the spotters back.
We just go out there and mess with the cars.
Can you tweet GoPro and ask them to have the spotter race again, please?
Because my daughter needs another pair of binoculars from the trophy.
We got to come back.
We could do a dirty mom media race.
Oh, yeah, Jason, because you'd be so fast.
I feel like I could knock some...
You could probably beat me.
Jason, you're half my size.
Jason, do you think you could beat me?
I don't know.
No one to do a basketball game and a go-cart race.
I like GoPro.
I'll tell you what, I'll bet $500 on it right now.
We should do like a...
$500.
It's like almost half of months of rents.
I'm not going to do that.
Jason is going to start a fair match.
Like you and Jason and me versus Dillner, like we could raise, you know,
like Kupa Chupa and the little mushroom guy
versus Bowser and a donkey calls.
Maybe we can get some costumes too.
Did you see Corey?
I would be Cuba Trooper.
If you see Corey LaJoy built those, he built a bunch of Mario cards.
Oh, I did see that.
Kyle.
Yes.
Yes, Jason's buddy Kyle.
Yeah, I'm a little red turtle show.
All right.
So what are we got next?
D.B.C. Vicks.
Do I pick first?
Yes.
Did Brett sit there?
Yeah.
Freddy got it.
Who do you pick?
I can't tell you.
Well, it's not like we have anybody left.
It's an off the wall one kind of.
I guess they all have to be.
Yeah.
We don't have anybody left.
You know what?
Oh, boy.
I am, this is getting hard.
Halfway through the regular season this weekend.
Yeah, let's just go with Truex Jr.
Swing for the fence right here.
We both tying us back up.
We both said that that's who you're going to take.
I mean, I got them left.
Brett don't.
Brett's taking Chris Busher.
Yeah, but just go ahead and six to six here.
Although Busher has been pretty hot lately.
That's what I said.
He said to me,
He said, I think I'm going to pick Busher.
What do you think?
And I said, man, he's been running really good.
He just never seems to finish, like, where he's been running.
But it's getting better.
He's getting better lately.
Well, he said, like, he was going to do the opposite of you this week.
Like, if you picked, I said, I said you could pick Busher.
Like, as much as you've been talking about him lately, like, how much he's doing well.
And so if he picked Busher, he was going to pick one of the really good guys he has left.
If you pick him a good guy, he was going to go, like, kind of a long shot.
I feel like I got, I feel like I got a few decent guys left here to still beat him.
I do, I feel like, yeah.
I think you have a shot.
I'm in pretty good shape.
We're all in bad shape.
We're all in bad.
Once I win this one, then we'll be tied back up.
We're both going to be in the same boat.
Anyway, all right.
Movie review.
Yeah, I watched Meet the Fockers, and it was funny.
Meet the Who?
Meet the Fockers was the second one.
They had you watch the second one before the first one.
Oh, really?
Yeah, Meet the Parents was the first movie.
And then Meet the Fockers was the sequel.
Yeah.
Damn.
Oh, me, the Voggers was great.
I mean, that's a great movie.
Yeah.
Jason, don't say those words.
I can't.
No, those words are good.
Oh, the second one, the baby said.
Yeah.
I mean, the baby saying, A-S-S.
Oh.
Exactly.
That was hilarious.
And the baby was just sitting on the couch of the bottle of alcohol, watching a violent movie.
So that was all really good.
I liked it a lot.
It is a pretty good movie.
So what do we say we were going to have him watch next?
What's the one where they throw the shavings out?
the window on the
perfect cake
that was American
well that was American wedding
but that's the same thing like that's
American pie
American pie
well if there's something about Mary
didn't we say we're going to have to watch them
I don't think he's going to like that one as much
he liked American Pie
he's like the last two
which is Meet the Falkers
and what's the ones before that
Wedding Crashers
Wedding Crashers
is the best movie ever
Yeah that's like the best comedy movie
Have you seen Step Brothers?
Yes
Okay stepbrothers is on that lines
I would I mean
American Wedding
Have you not watched any of the American Pie movies?
There's like five of them, isn't there?
So the next five weeks, basically.
No, just watch American Pie.
Yeah, and then you'll want to watch the other ones on your own.
And don't be buying any apple pie.
Don't plan on it.
He doesn't plan on it, but, yeah.
Way do you see the movie?
You never know, Jason.
You don't have any idea, do you?
No idea.
You have a microwave?
I also want to say, I'm going the Indy 500 this weekend.
Are you?
Oh.
So I'm excited about that.
I'll come back with the whole review.
Oh, yeah.
You'll look it.
Are you going with Dell Jr.?
Yeah, we're going to ride the base car together.
He's going to let me drive.
No, I'm just going to my friend.
Yeah.
Oh, your friend.
Whoa, whoa.
Girl?
No.
What's her name?
Damn it, Jason.
My friend got tickets last year.
He said he had a great time.
Now, going to go out there to be part of one of 300,000 people.
Where are you staying?
Just some Airbnb near downtown.
Any good places to go.
Oh, nice.
I mean, St. Elmo's.
No, no, don't go to St.Omo's.
No, no, don't go to St.
You won't be able to find a reservation,
either.
It's expensive.
Yeah.
You got to go here.
You can tell them where to go to the P.F. Chang.
You're going to Wild Beaver.
Wild Beaver.
You're going to be, me and Brett, have karaoke there.
What about the cigar lounge?
Nicky Blains.
Yeah.
Nicky Blaine's cigar lounge.
I mean, that's a pretty cool place.
If you like cigars.
I don't take you to a cigar smoker, Jason.
He's turning green.
Wild Beaver.
There's like a tin roof there.
It's really good.
Where else do we go?
Wild beavers usually are where we end up every night.
So that's,
you got to check down there um you know just hang out
talk about racing i'm doing the double too the arca indy 500 double
that is not a double i'm gonna make history is arc race at
charlotte thursday yeah oh i think i did the double i did the double for the 50th or
hundredth whatever the indy 500 though like 100th one yeah i did that one because um
billy chad's dad was invited back since he got the poll
heard of them 500 years ago now.
But yeah, it was cool.
It was so hot.
Like, so hot.
It's going to be like a low 80s, so that looks pretty good.
It's going to get really hot this weekend.
It would be hot here.
Chaz Dad had the poll for the Indian 500.
He did.
They're going to miss some rent payments or some mortgages.
I'm just saying.
But yes, did you see how hot it's going to be here Saturday or Sunday?
No, do I want to know?
Nope.
Yeah, you don't want to know.
What number was Kyle Williams?
What was he 95?
He won't.
was 95.
Jesus.
Holy cow, really?
That's the high.
Yeah.
What about Saturday high?
Yeah.
Good, because I don't make sense any car.
Thank you.
I'm going to Bowman Gray Saturday night, so let's, everybody, you're out there listening.
Take your camera and see if those two guys will fight again.
I'm sure there'll be a fight.
I might not be in condition of operating.
You know, I watched Bowman Gray on that fans' choice deal, and I'm really disappointed
there's no camera on the backside of that press box deal in the pit area.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I know what I mean?
Yeah.
I know what you start going back on.
All them cars go behind there.
Apparently when one of them pits, the pace car slows down to about 13 mile an hour.
And so they go in there, change tires and come back out, which is cool.
They put on a great show.
So that's also somewhere to check out Saturday night.
Just reminded me about something that I have to rant on real quick.
You just ran it all right now.
I know, but this is another one.
This one really pissed me off.
I actually ran it about on Facebook yesterday.
Oh, boy.
So there was a modified tour race at Wall Stadium Saturday night, and it was on fans' choice.
Like every other touring series race this year is on fan.
Choice TV. It is a free, I repeat, free stream of the races.
Stream.
You may go to the bathroom.
Well, so certain areas, like now the tracks, now that they've done this to all the races,
the tracks can pick areas that they want to black out because it's a local, you know,
like a combo around the track and stuff. There was people bashing Fans Choice TV this
week because they was blacked out in their area. It's not their choice. I'm like, first of all,
it's not fans' choice. Second of all, it's free. Like you're like, the guy's like, well, it's not
fair that they get to watch and I didn't because I don't
I'm like well you here's your options
go to the racetrack and watch the race yourself
he's like I had to work okay well then
work that's up to you like you had to work
so you watch TV anyway what did you do last year when there
wasn't fans choice TV who'd you shit then like
speak 51 because their updates weren't fast enough
like don't bash these people for doing
they're promoting the sport way more
than anybody else will and you're gonna
tear them apart for it so
to hell with anybody that has anything bad to say that somebody
trying to help out you tell them
well I mean to end to Nena and I better know
because it's going to be hard to go out. Mads,
happy birthday.
She's sleeping.
She turned nine yesterday, so.
Aw, well, she's sleeping right now, but.
Yeah, she costs me a lot of money.
So anyway, all right.
Well, thanks to everybody.
Hopefully Brett's got his helmet on somewhere and...
Make sure you go to the Charlotte race.
It'll be fun.
Yeah, come check Charlotte out.
And look for us.
Don't be afraid to tweet Freddie, Brett or me.
You know, you know where we're going to be.
Or me. Or Casey.
Or Casey.
Or Jason. No, if you're an indie, tweet me an indie.
Yeah.
If you're one of the four.
100,000 people at Indy.
Yeah.
Say hi to Jason.
Yeah.
But yeah, we look forward
to seeing everybody at Charlotte.
Yeah, say hi if you're there.
All right.
Have a good week, everyone.
See you.
All right.
