Door Bumper
Christmas!
This is Door Bumper Clear's Christmas Spectacular, and I'm Freddie Craft.
Santa sent us one of his elves, old Tyler Redick, to help us catch up with everything in the off season.
We'll cover Danny, who is great, and Dale, wanting a multiple race championship round.
The RTA looking to hold their own exhibition events, Ryan Priest to the 41, and much, much more.
Let's go, Rudolph.
The best in the boat, stumbling the Monday, they tell you the truth.
Giving the Finnis and breaking the rules
Good call to the holler to bring it to you
Casey you pretty Freddy you fat
TJ you suck
Bretin's so bad
Jason is pacing kinda play in this racing
If someone don't crash and he's gonna go mad
Looking for Freddy he's killing the bottle
Casey is making messes like a taut
Toad something stupid then don't even bother
Brett's gonna block you like TJ as his spotter
I see them online though FF in the chat
Tell Rick where to stay off the track
All of the podcast are living in fear
This isn't the download, this throw bumper clear
Nah don't get it twisted baby
This isn't the download
But no, this is door, bumper.
Clear, clear, clear.
There you go, I like it.
Hey, everybody. I'm T.J. Major. Spotter of the six cup car.
I had the one truck, and does it even matter?
Because we didn't even spot anything.
No, does not matter.
Okay, we're not even...
What truck are you spotting for in 23?
Let's go next year.
Yeah.
Let's talk about next year.
No.
You sure?
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
You may have already told everybody, but let's hide it.
It gave everyone a Christmas gift.
Yeah.
Give it to him.
He's not.
He can't.
I'm not talking about him.
No, that, no.
Stop.
He can't.
Oh, is it that?
What are you driving?
Is it that one driver we talked about five minutes?
Okay, yeah.
Got it.
Yeah.
Brett Griffin, spotted collard racing.
I have enjoyed my off season.
That's not true.
It is true.
I went to Gainesville, Florida.
I went to Disney World.
I went to Myrtle Beach.
Last weekend I tried to go hunting.
That was cut a little short.
How's your off season, Ben, Freddie?
I'll let you know when it starts.
I'm an idiot.
I have been racing the whole time.
And me too.
Ice of 300.
I spotted for something else.
Turkey Derby, Snowball Derby.
TJ's been on the same path pretty much.
Yeah, I didn't plan on this.
You did a couple races.
Careful.
My truck driver got fired while he was at the snowball derby.
Oh, really?
That's how you got all that breaking truck news down there, huh?
Has your contract been signed yet?
The truck news did not seem secretive.
Yeah, my contract got signed.
And then promptly the other night,
the guy that owns the team at our Christmas party
was booing the hell out of me
when I won an award
he led a chorus of booze.
He wasn't happy to say you.
As I watched it as I was,
I was upset.
I want to watch a fitness watch.
I said, I think they're trying to tell me something.
You're not wearing it.
You're not wearing it.
No, no.
I can't.
Are you into fitness?
They might track my steps.
You into fitness?
As soon as I want to look over
and he's got everybody in the place booing me,
but I said, oh, now I know how Bubba feels.
So it was fun.
But what's up, Casey?
What are you been doing?
Casey, do you know where our Christmas party was?
Did you recognize where our Christmas party was?
Yes, it was at my wedding venue.
It sure was.
I told, I was walking in with Julian and Trish.
I thought you should post some pictures.
And I said, right about here is where Billy made a bad decision to get in the car with us and go to Syed.
And Andrea still's not talking to me, I think.
He's still regretting that decision.
Just saw him this morning.
But yes, I rushed back from Nashville.
was there with Tyler
you know
you might want to word that differently
because that's
Oh my God
Are we really being immature
We were all there
I just saying
I know what you went out
Okay
You're the only
We're the only person that went there
Alexa was there too
That's a better
I mean now you're
Whatever
Yeah yeah
Yeah so
Tyler
Tyler
Tyler I first have to say
Why
Why did you bring
an entire
candy cane
of fireball
because my life is already hard enough on the show.
Why not?
That's a better question.
Tis the season to be jolly.
I needed half of those on the roof in Florence.
Whenever it was under the side or started plowing through people?
Were you on the route?
Was there a roof or probably just a grandstand, I would assume?
It was a sketchy roof to begin with.
That facility was definitely aged.
I thought North Wilkesboro was bad.
But Florence was another step.
But yeah, that was, I'm taking a bodyguard
all my Dell Jr.
races from now on, which I...
No kidding.
You see this race?
What happened?
People were a nice team.
Dale Jr. spun half the field out.
Wow.
What a ass.
He got two penalties.
Oh, yeah.
We got sent to the back twice.
And it was, uh, and I thought, you know, usually, when they gave them the first penalty,
I was like, oh, God, this place is going to burn here in a minute.
We're all done.
And, um, then we wrecked somebody else, which wasn't as, um, malicious.
It was actually like a, they just got loose underneath the place spun out.
Now, you don't clear them into the corner.
He said, send it in there, Neil.
Drive it in there, you sissy.
No, the first guy, did you see the first wreck?
I missed all of it.
Yeah, well, the first wreck, he kind of clipped this guy
in the left rear on the backstretched.
It looked awful because he just misjudged it.
He sent him down to the inside wall,
and the guy went out of my view,
and all as I saw was the car go up in the air
when it hit the inside wall and bat.
I'm like, hey, that's probably not good.
That's a memory he'll have forever getting wrecked by Dell Jr.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
He'll frame that probably.
He's definitely going to remember it.
tell you that.
Jason.
If you can remember.
How's going?
Hey, Jason Schultz,
BBC producer for the final time.
What?
You quit?
Finally, I know.
It took up a lot of courage to finally get to.
What were you doing before you got here?
Smoking a cigarette?
No kidding.
You know what he sounds like they got.
Covering guns and ammo.
What a wonderful.
Do we have a new producer to name?
Is that why you brought Tyler in here?
He's going to produce our show.
Yeah, I guess people want to be able to tell difference either.
So they really won't.
True.
Maybe a little bit taller.
So Monday mornings, they'll just pop in.
Do we have a new producer?
I mean, what the hell?
Not currently, but.
So we're hiring.
Yes.
I can't tweet.
Hey, Jason Schultz for a resume.
This is like the most revolving door position there is.
I mean, we get somebody they leave.
We get somebody they leave.
Where the hell are you going?
Yeah.
I may be doing some more social media in 2022.
While you're getting the keys back.
I have all the keys back.
You know what Jason's first act as social media guy was?
Blocking bright?
Nope.
Nope.
Yeah, tell him.
I followed Freddie back.
Because apparently we weren't calling Freddy.
What?
I was like, this seems like a mistake.
He says to me a text.
He's like,
so my first thing to do,
I guess as Dirty Moe social media guys,
I guess I'll follow you on Twitter.
I was like,
but I didn't remember,
I did block.
This isn't adding up right.
I did block Dirty Mo.
Talk about no love.
I did block Dirty Mo at one point.
So that might automatically unfollow everybody.
What are the qualifications for this position?
Oh, God.
So you're leaving producing the show to go to go tweet.
Yeah.
You're going to go tweet and stuff and leaving this spot?
Yeah, we're currently going to still be on the show.
You're not allowed to get up and leave.
I mean, you're here.
You're stuck here.
If Casey doesn't get up, I will be stuck here.
Basically.
We'll leave it up to the fans.
If they want to hear from you, we'll have you back on.
And for the record, it's a long show then.
Yeah.
For the record, TJ, you said that everybody leaves.
Jason and I got here at the exact same time and we have not.
I'm still here.
No, I was talking about the producing position.
It seems like we can't ever keep anybody.
Yeah, it's been seven years you had two people.
You guys run them off.
Tyler Redick, you're in the house.
Yeah, I guess I am here.
Yeah, hey, Merry Christmas.
Our Christmas show guests.
Yeah, I brought some gifts.
Our honor,
our elf.
Liquid gifts.
And, uh, yeah.
If you're not a Tyler Redick fan and you're a guy,
I'm going to tell you why to be a Tyler Redick fan right now.
Oh, boy.
If you're a, we had a top.
What if you're a girl?
Yeah.
Why not?
You're hot, so chicks are, okay.
So we call a top secret post-season.
meeting at Hooters in Mooresville.
Before it closed.
And Tyler rolls in with Bo.
Yeah, oh yeah.
You're a good dad when you bring your young kid to Hooters.
The shame of it was there was only one Hooters girl there.
I know, I know, but I still like that is dad at the Hooters stuff.
That might not be a bad thing.
Yeah.
What was this meaning about?
If the Hooters girl was blonde, maybe she was, I can't remember.
I didn't know.
If any girl that's blonde, Bo is obsessed with.
Yeah.
And once, like we were at dinner last night with the friend.
and like her husband's with her and Bo doesn't even care.
Bo straight up to my friend's face was like,
yeah, your husband doesn't have to come to dinner anymore.
It can just be me and you.
I like his game.
He's ready to be three years old.
He's confident moments away from moving out.
On the way out of score,
on the way out of who is that there.
It scores plays a part in the story.
That's why I said.
Not mine.
Not mine.
I'm going to see that right now.
I turn the corner and I said,
I said, Bo, if mommy asks, we've been at scores all day.
And he's where he laughed, everybody lasts, gets in the car.
And I get about five minutes down the road.
And Tyler calls me, he's like, I'm going to kill you.
He won't stop staying scores.
Oh, my God.
I don't, I can't.
Well, I think I remember if we got home and he said, Mommy, we were at scores.
I feel like to remember that part.
Yeah, you would remember that.
He didn't, thankfully.
But I was like, we're going to walk in the door.
He's going to say we were at scores.
And I don't know how she's going to, she's probably not going to take that well.
I probably would have been out of the house living somewhere else, so it must not have a bit.
You can move in with both.
Yeah.
Yeah, right.
Beside a hooters.
Or in hooters is it closed, maybe?
Oh, man.
Yeah, I think it's done, isn't it?
Hooters closed?
I thought it did.
I find that easy to believe because that was the worst hooters in the country.
It closed.
There's only one hooters, girls, so.
No, there's nothing worse.
No, no, no, no, listen to me.
The Concord at least is somewhat recent.
This thing was 40 years old.
Okay.
And the location, I guess it was because of location because it was hard to
to get to kind of.
They didn't like that.
What do you qualify as being like horrible?
Were the girls not pretty?
The girls.
I say it's a service.
It's a service mostly.
Dirty bathrooms.
Long wait for food.
The place was dirty.
The place is dirty.
No one's in there long waits.
The thing that would make every restaurant suck.
Fair.
Same things.
Okay.
But hey,
we had a Hooters closing down party looking back at it.
Yeah, pretty much.
We shut it down.
Going out of business.
Oh, yeah.
All right.
Well, Tyler.
You have a new gig here coming up.
Since last time you're on.
You got a new gig?
I guess I should start by saying Denny's great.
Danny is great.
Yeah.
We're almost, I mean, two out of the four here are 2311 employees.
So I think today.
Brad is spotted for 2311.
I mean, today basically it's a 2311 racing podcast, I'd say.
It is.
Yeah.
Yeah, I'm excited about the new gig.
Working with 2311, working with a new manufacturer in Toyota.
Toyota Racing, TRD.
It's a huge transition.
but I've been really blown away so far by just how they go about things
and just the atmosphere that they carry.
They're really big on everyone in a part of Toyota Racing
where TRD is family, and I really felt that way so far.
I'm not trying to make this conversation tough,
but I've got to ask you a few things.
You're leaving, obviously, RCR racing, Richard Childers Racing,
and they're considered to be like their own little powerhouse, right?
And you're essentially going to an affiliate,
which is an affiliate of Joe Gibbs Racing.
that's where you'll get all your technology support from.
Did that factor in to what you were doing in terms of where you see yourself in five years?
Because obviously 2311's winning races attached to one of the best programs in the garage.
Like when you started breaking down, I'm not going to stay at home here at RCR.
I'm going somewhere else.
How did you end up at 2311?
Yeah, I just, you know, look at the people that they've put together the short period of time that they've been around.
They've won three races in two years.
And, you know, that is really, really hard to do.
You know, we've seen other teams start up.
It's just hard to win that much, that fresh.
Certainly having that affiliation really, really does help.
But the people inside the organization are really smart, the plan,
and how they go about preparing for each race and just how they do the workflow in the shop,
the environment in the shop, how they go about bringing everybody together.
You know, we put two, they put two cars on the racetrack,
but it's, it's in essence, one team.
And so just that mindset and the plan that they have in place,
the people they have in place around it,
Denny's done a really good job of putting some really smart people
in around, um, in around 2311 racing.
And so, yeah, when I just look at all those things and,
and where I want to see myself in four or five years,
um, I won was, was really humbled to, to, to hear that, you know,
Toyota and Denny, Michael, the whole ownership group really wanted me,
be a part of their growth and their path in the future.
So once that became apparent, I was like, man, this is really great deal.
And obviously, we talked about it before, you know, things weren't really going the right way,
in my opinion, with RCR, where I was wanting to see myself within the organization and
where that path was going.
So it was just, it was timing.
And yeah, it's just, as we've started to get going here, it's just really, really cool.
The resources, the depth of knowledge.
that the team has information that I've been able to learn about already is really mind-blowing.
And I'm not trying to get you with the RCR under the bus, but you come there as an Xfinity
Series champion. The next year you win the championship again with them. You have a ton of speed,
yet to win a race, but you walk in and say, I want to be here for a while, and you guys can't
come to terms on that. Do you now look at the sport differently in terms of how you prepare for
the rest of your career with these owners? Because you now realize it's not a lot of
about relationships with owners and drivers. It's about you got to get all you can get while you get it.
For sure. But also, you know, I mean, it is about the relationship too. You know, me and Richard
had a really good relationship and just, you know, things just didn't really work out in the period
of time that I think I was needing it to happen and what they were thinking. But, but, you know,
2311 had this big plan. And, you know, obviously it wasn't the plan to end up at 2311 for 2023.
but as things kind of started to take place,
it just seemed more and more like that was where, you know,
where RCR, RCR was ready to part ways and, you know,
I was ready to move on too.
So it worked out really good.
You know, the, they worked it all out and I found out about it.
And I was, you know, kind of sad.
I wasn't going to get to work with my guys one last year as we had planned.
But when I look at the future and what, what 2311 is working on.
You don't love Billy Scott.
Well, me and Billy actually have a relationship from RCR.
Because RCR, yeah.
He was at RCR for two years.
So I think he's just working in pretty weird ways.
I love how you just referenced as MJ as Michael.
Like it wasn't even like Michael Jordan or MJ.
He's just like, yeah, me and Michael.
He's not probably one of the greatest, if not the greatest basketball player of all time.
I mean, but it's just Michael to Tyler now.
He's just Michael.
They're just as good as Danny is there.
I met Michael.
Yeah, I know Michael.
Brett still not talking to me because I didn't introduce him to Michael.
We sat down to work out your deal to.
to go over there? He didn't come to the meeting?
Well, the new one, yeah. He flew in
just to make sure I was there to sign.
Coming was G5.
You remember the space jams,
like Michael Jordan,
Bugs Bunny? I think that's like
Michael and Tyler.
We need to recreate that photo. Nascarcasm
put it together pretty well. The first
like breaking news, here's the first
photo Michael and Tyler together.
You know, taking up the whole photo.
You know, my head's just
down there at the very bottom.
We'll find a picture of Michael and Mugsy Boggs and we'll put Tyler in that.
I think Tyler's taller than Mugsy Bugs.
I think so.
No way, dude.
I think so.
Yeah, I think you could dunk on him.
The problem is Mugsy Bows could actually dunk.
He could.
There's zero chance me or you get close to touching the right.
I saw him one time eating the Mids Club in downtown Charlotte.
We could chicken fight and not hit the Ruff.
They love to eat at Mons Club for some reason.
The what?
The men's club.
What is the men's club?
What is the men's club?
What is that?
What is that?
What is that?
I know where it is.
I don't think anybody else in this day.
Like a strip clothes?
Like a lot of it.
It's a lunch buffet.
It's a lunch buffet.
Sure.
I wouldn't call it.
I've heard of them.
More all the cart.
Just like Chad, when he says he's not going to scores and I look up his location, he's outscores.
Wow.
Why are you looking up his location?
Yeah.
Wow.
First off, why do you have his location?
Yeah.
Why?
One idiot.
I'm changing my one idiot.
Maybe because he had scores all the time.
Is he working on business deals?
Yeah.
How often does he go to scores?
Oh, this was a one-time deal.
He hasn't been back.
Is this.
This was a one-time deal.
Ask him to tell that story.
Was this when Wyndham was in town?
Is this that one?
Yeah.
That was a big deal.
Big Daddy.
They won the national championship.
I mean, you had to celebrate it sometime.
Yeah, I mean, why not?
I mean, he saved money.
He didn't drive all the way down to Charlotte, you know.
He saved some money there.
And, I mean, it's probably cheaper there anyway.
I just can't imagine a Moorsville strip club for some reason.
Let me tell you something.
Well, if you pull out of here, you drive a couple miles, you can drive right by it.
Imagine.
Think about the worst strip club you've been in and then figure out how to make it worse.
I'm telling you that one is a mouse's ear in Bristol Tennessee made made into
Morseville the one in Statesville was really bad remember that I know there was one in
I didn't know it's been up there not it's been a long time ago
oh really yeah oh it was really long time ago really a long time ago
TJ and you have a new job that you said you're going to announce on the Christmas
episode but then of course you had to announce it earlier on Dirtymo Live if you don't
announce it we all have to take another shot of Fireball you should just take another shot
Is this weird?
Jason Jarrett?
Yeah, just ninja.
It's actually at 1.8 miles away, so it's not even two.
Just see.
Quick line.
You really searched it?
Yeah, scores of late Norman, so.
Oh, gosh.
You see how he's changing the subject?
Yeah.
Well, I was in the middle of that when he started that.
He's finishing one conversation.
You know, a little bit of a change on the Expanity side, going to work with Josh Barry.
And that worked out.
Straight up ninja.
Just a straight-up ninja.
I got to ask if I would do it.
That's not Ninhny.
or something.
Coleman now.
That's a ninja.
Do you have...
Where's your mask?
Yeah, I got a little throwback
from September 19th
where there's a tweet from a guy,
Spotter Bray.
It's not the,
he wasn't verified there yet.
He didn't have a dollar.
He didn't have a dollar.
The only person that likes him,
J.R.M is Dale Jr.
The other four derives don't want anything
to do with him.
Well, you must undercut Jason
good enough to where they like you.
Just to $200 a week.
guilty of
I don't hire anybody.
Old takes exposed or I mean.
That's that.
Thanks,
Jr.
coming back in.
Now,
um,
yeah,
that the Josh Barry deal came about from North Wilkesboro and then,
um,
now he gave you some time on the boat,
didn't he?
No,
I still haven't seen the damn boat.
That's funny?
You got 20 hours.
No,
yeah,
not,
I didn't even get like hours.
It wasn't even like,
hey,
it's there if you want to use it.
I mean,
I,
I might have heard that,
but it wasn't the original deal.
So,
um,
so yeah,
there's,
there's no boat still.
And that's probably
That last ship has sailed
That deal
But now it'll be looking forward to that
Josh is up and coming
And should be a fun year
How many races he went last year?
Three?
Three, I think.
Yeah, I think so.
He won three.
He won Vegas.
Dover.
Over.
Son of a Borg.
What a...
And then he won a fission
for him after he beat us a Dover.
Charlotte?
I don't know.
He truly is business.
I don't care.
But he said,
He's one of the better short track racers in the country and certainly a wheelman.
They just sent on a poll at the snowball.
Yeah.
He ran really well there.
Mid-20.
I thought he's older than that.
I think he's 30 something.
I thought he was almost 30.
Maybe he's already a 30.
He's old.
He's old.
I'm creeping up there myself.
He's old in NASCAR world.
I'm old.
Snowball, he ran good for about 100 labs.
Did you spot the snowball for him?
Actually, I was on my couch.
We missed the snowball.
Yeah.
Oh, you have Brad Kay?
Oh, yeah.
T.J. Winford, fun.
Yeah, we went, and I'm like going to tell you.
You ever been to that race?
Your house looked nice.
It is a big deal.
That, yeah, that thing is a, like...
Was that your first time going?
Yeah, I've never been to that track or anything.
That track is phenomenal.
You bet?
I've never been.
That was, this year's Snowball Derby was actually the top three tracks in the country.
Yeah, very impressed with the facility, how it flowed, the event itself.
It's cool, man.
see when you go into there you can tell it's a big deal the atmosphere you can just you can
all the people you see there um it's it's pretty cool to deal the only uh the only the only i
stood next to freddie most of the time the only thing i really complained about is and this is
going to be hard to listen to a race but other than that um they so in practice you only
the practices roll pretty good i mean they flow pretty well but you got whole pit road filled with
cars and they go down there and stage in turn one. Well, you got cars that are lined up ready to
go out. Well, there's cars that are staged in turn one and they just back out and get in line
instead of going around and getting in line back through the infield and getting in line in the
back. How dare they. And it's all the good guys too that are already in the show and are going
to be already competitive. So you're giving them, they've made three runs before somebody's
made two made it once. Not all the good guys. Kraus was down there. But I mean,
it's all like William Byron made three runs before, you know, Brett ran once.
You're in line to get out.
He just backs out and wedges in line.
And it's, uh, that need.
We're all geniuses on that.
That needs to be cleaned up from that aspect.
Like you shouldn't.
When you get your own plane next year, Tyler.
You know, now you and Michael, actually we just take Michael.
You go on.
That's all right.
I'm going to go with you.
Because it is, it is super fun.
You don't need to race.
We just need to go party.
I'll take a bow.
We'll take boat.
We'll take boat with.
There's all here's on the beach.
Perfect.
Okay.
So it's a big deal.
Your buddy from up north, he was putting...
Bradley.
Yeah, Bradley.
I was like, oh, okay.
Saucy.
They were, yeah, they were, yeah, they're maniacs.
They don't know when to stop.
We're back to the Dartfish stuff too.
Yeah, exactly.
Did you guys do that when you're there?
What?
Like, we're doing everything we can to make this race, right?
And they got, um, we did, uh, rate, is it called, what is it called?
What is it a race trace?
Um, like, Darfish.
Yeah.
And, um, guy was sending me, so it's really cool now.
After you make a run on the track, a little bit after that, you get this text and it's
email that says here's your lap versus car like it's never had that before wow that sounds so cool no we're
talking this late mall racing i know yeah i remember at smt where i could go and look and be yeah darkfish
like how it used to be so big but no it was really cool to go there and it's a really cool event man
like i like brett says it's actually um i'll be probably back there next year i think i think he'll
run up running again we saw my macaul away here and we thought he was going in a big owls but he had broke his
cell phone. He was going in the cell phone repair store.
Thank God. Maybe he'll get him that phone. But I saw Matt McCall get out of this Ford,
you know, Raptor, this badass truck. And I'm like, man,
he's going to Big Ows to get a beer. I like this guy, which I like him anyway.
He knows karate. He'd kick my ass. But he didn't go to Big Alas. So anyway.
Hopefully it was getting an iPhone. He didn't go with you snowball, did he?
No, he ran. He ran. I saw he ran somewhere and ran good. He ran a national.
He ran fifth of Thanksgiving. Yeah, he ran good. I spotted for him at Dover in a
Bush Series car a long time ago. Yeah. A good, good guy.
Y'all, speaking of Southern National, we ain't not going to talk about that fight?
You didn't see that fight?
I saw it.
Yeah, that guy got knocked down.
I think I sent it to Brett.
Yeah.
Did you see there's two guys that got knocked out.
Yeah.
It's pretty.
For one idiot.
Well, I don't know if that's an idiot, but I mean, good fight.
All right.
Brett, any plans for 2023?
Collick again?
So my 2023 is pretty easy.
And to back it up, man.
I told Chris Rice at Watkins Glen, I said, look, man, I'm done Xfinity Racing full-time.
just too much. I was willing to come back and do Cup for one reason. I like Chris. I love Justin
Haley. I didn't know if I was going to like him. To be honest with you, man, a great dude. Have a lot of
fun with him. Hanging out with him. Come on here. So the offer came on here, had fun with us.
Put his balls on the table. But when I went to Chris, I was like, man, I got a couple problems.
I'm not doing Bristol dirt. I don't want to do Chicago, July 4th. And the cup races that are
flying on Friday, practice 15 minutes on Saturday, race on Sunday. I just want to come on Sunday.
I don't want to come in three days for a 15-minute practice.
So it didn't work out.
So I'm going to do their part-time stuff, run a –
I can't tell you some of the stuff we got going on,
but certainly the 8-2500 is in our plans.
Chicago, Bristol Dirt, he'll be –
No thanks to Bristol Dirt.
That ain't going to happen.
I love Bristol Dirt, but I don't want to be away from my mom on Easter
if she's still here with us.
So it just comes down to family priorities at this point.
And look, like I told Chris, I would love to spot cup full time,
but I'm not doing these particular weekends, and I'm not going to do all.
Like, if we go to Loudoun, New Hampshire and you fly in on Friday for a 15-minute practice on Saturday,
that is a complete waste of two days of my life at this point in my career.
But I still would do the race.
So I told him I'd fly on Sunday morning, fly home Sunday night, and obviously they won't a full-time guy, which I totally get.
And they got Jason Jarrett to do that, which I'm happy for.
Jason's a friend of mine.
Obviously, I've been friends with Dale his dad a long time.
So it keeps going.
It's not to say I want to ever come back full-time, but this year, man, where I'm at, it's just not in the key.
and the plans.
We'll see you back after this year.
Potentially.
My favorite year that I've had since Elliot retired
was the year I did like four exfinity races and 10 cup races.
Like that was perfect.
That was the problem because he got spoiled two years ago being home.
So this entire year, all he did was about being back on the road.
So I'm thankful that he's not going to be there next year.
If he's playing baseball, I do not want to be at a racetrack.
I can tell you that right now.
If he stopped letting him break his limbs, I mean, he plays more baseball.
But I'm still going to be at 15 race.
races no matter what. Dirty Mo Media, we got some big plans, maybe get to that in a little bit.
I've got some big sponsorship stuff I'm working on. I've actually got 14 cup races.
I think I've sold so far, so I've got all those. But it's easy to come in and do those and come home.
I can be home literally before the race is over. So it just, it comes down to lifestyle.
Look, spotting has been great to me. There was a point in my career. I've been doing it since
2000 part time, 2001 full time. But there was a point in my career where it was literally how I made a
living and that was for about two or three years and after Elliott retired and it'll always be my
favorite thing I've ever done because you're in the game and it's super fun but for where I'm at right
now just got to cut back for a little while well praise for your wife who will be seeing you a lot
more geez everyone's quitting moving on I mean anyone else I mean I'm pretty pretty pretty
pretty pretty pretty not really no I'm gonna do I'm gonna do Bubba again obviously and I think I'm
I think I'm doing land.
I actually, somebody asked me the other day, like,
you spot for landing?
I'm like, I think so.
I haven't heard of him or not.
So I'm pretty sure I'm spot for landing.
I'm going to check on that.
And I think I'm joining the truck plan because my truck guy got fired.
And unless he finds a gig,
I'm not doing the truck.
So I may,
you'll love that plan.
Yeah.
I think what I was thinking the other day is we need to get people to pay us.
Instead of spotting the races,
they pay us to do like the manning cast of truck races.
So it's a $1,000 loss for you because you're going to not get paid 500
to spot and then you're going to spend
500 at a bar.
I'll be fine because you're not going to be
right.
Prepare accordingly.
I'll be good because you won't be there.
So I should be, I'll be in my room watching TV.
Speaking of those dirty moe media plans,
Brett, I think we've got another
Las Vegas ultimate experience to talk about.
We got three or four of them coming this year.
Mike and I've been working hard on them along with the
dirty moem media team, Wendy and Shana.
And, man, Vegas, here we go again.
Last time we sold this thing out.
As soon as it opened, I don't think it's the hardest ticket to get NASCAR this year.
I think North Wiltsboro is, but I think outside of that, our events will be the second
hardest ticket to get.
We've got a couple new venues we're looking at, and it's going to be just as awesome as it was last year.
There is nothing better to do in the spring than go to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The weather's great.
The racing's great.
The entertainment's great.
And we're going to take a shot of fireball in the suite, which ironically, Tyler's handed me another shot now.
So cheers to you that have come to the.
the Dirty Mo Media experience that are coming again.
We can't wait to see you guys.
And the good news for Vegas is, this may be bad news.
I was going to say, well, this might not be good news if you're getting ready to
what I think you are.
I've got an event on Saturday, so I'll be there and I'll be there Sunday for the event,
DirtyMone Media.
I'm going to probably be in the suite for the whole race.
That's what I was going to say, the added bonus or.
Guys, we're trying to get them to want to buy tickets.
So this year, there won't be one, one fireball in every backpack.
There will be three fireballs in every backpack.
I am making the promise right now.
Three fireballs per backpack.
We'll do one before the race, one at the end of stage one and one at the end of stage two.
And we're going to do one now.
And then Freddie's going to tell you what the sweet experience got.
Listen, as it was last year, if anybody's familiar with them last year, you have the reserve seat in the VIP suite.
All you can eat.
He can do a shot mid-sense.
Watch this.
All you can eat beer, food.
The beverages are your choice.
exclusive pre-race suite appearances by the hosts of door bumper clear.
That's us.
That's three different goals.
I'm struggling over here.
Jesus.
I think Davis is going to be in there during the race.
Drink the damn team.
I love how you play on your notes.
Quicks access to restroom facilities.
You do get your own bathroom.
When you got to pee and you got a wait, that sucks.
You get a parking pass.
You get access to the neon garage, access to pit road for driver intros.
We get parking passes.
I wish.
Can we get a parking pass there?
If you buy a ticket, we'll get you a parking pass.
Okay.
What else we got?
Scanners, this is the best part, I think.
And I say, let's say, not only if you go into the Dirty Mo experience,
but if you're going to a race in general and you don't.
You've got to be too in the scanners that they rent from racing electronics.
You're doing it wrong.
Don't listen to me on a bad day.
Nowhere else in the world can you get that kind of access.
You can't go to a football game and get to hear them call the plays.
You can't go to, you know, a hockey game and hear the coach change lines.
I'll talk about football in here.
We don't know.
I forgot about that.
But these radio, the scanners, and especially if like Brett or Mike's in there,
like you'll be hearing stuff to me and TJ will say all race long and you can ask Brett about it.
And just kind of, you know, it's first-hand knowledge.
Like I said, you're not going to be able to get anywhere else.
So that's one of the big things.
And that's any race you go to.
It doesn't have to be the dirty-mo experience.
But any race you go to, you need to rent them a scanners from racing electronics.
Much more tuned in.
You'll know what's going on.
Your crew chief driver, spot, or everything.
Brett always runs about 14 race pools while we're in there too.
So if you're a fan of race pools, you have to do that.
There's raffle prizes.
I'm actually, there's really no reason not to do this.
I'm a little nervous about Brett being in this week the whole day.
Yeah, maybe we shouldn't have told anybody.
Yeah, these people are in for it.
I'm nervous about that.
They're going to blow a motor.
Every caution.
They're going to be calling a shot.
They're going to be calling colleague.
Can we schedule Brett's races the same day as the fan experience?
All right, well, tickets are on sale right now at dirtymo Media.
com slash ultimate experience.
And we heard you guys.
There are some tracks y'all wanted to go to.
We're looking at them.
Taladega.
So just keep your eyes and ears out throughout the year.
We're going to have some fun ones coming.
That's a big one.
I can't even imagine.
I can't even talk about it.
Could you imagine Talladega?
No, no.
Don't even talk about it.
You're not spotting.
We're streaking through the infield.
All right.
Well, on that note, before we head into Spot on Spotoff,

Spot on.
Spot off.
It goes like this.
Spot on means you agree.
I'm spot on.
Are you joking me?
He's lost his mind.
Oh, and by the way, no one ever seems to agree.
And then spot off means you disagree.
Spot off.
Here we fucking go.
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
But if you're T.J.
Um, uh, uh, uh, there's only one correct answer.
I don't know.
It's time for spot on, spot off.
First topic, Ryan Priest is replacing Cole Custer in the 41 Cup car next season with Custer going down to run Xfinity full time.
Freddie.
Listen, I think it's spot on.
I think this is a win-win for both of these guys.
You know, Pre-set a little bit of money behind him.
I think that kind of maybe pushed him over the line to get this right away from Cole.
But there's no secret.
Cole struggled last year.
I think this is a great opportunity for Cole to take a step back.
You've seen how well he ran in the few Xfinity races he ran last year.
So he's going to go back and the way the, I mean, the Xfinity field basically lost, what, 75% of their winners?
Like, you know, they lost.
Oh, it's a win.
I know, yeah.
There's 20 wins right there.
So, you know, this is an opportunity for Cole to go back and win another 10 Xfinity races possibly, you know, as well as he ran.
So that's kind of, you know, he can kind of reset and get back on, you know, get his confidence back up and maybe come back.
listen, it's not long before a couple of these guys that are at Stewarthouse now aren't going to be around.
Kevin and Eric within the next couple of years are probably one or both gone.
And then on the Ryan Preist side, listen, this is it for him, I think.
This is his last opportunity.
He's earned it.
This is your shot.
You've been waiting for this one opportunity and here it is and it's time to make the most of it.
He's taken a very awkward path to get there.
But, you know, Ryan's bet on himself a few times.
And it's kind of, this is what the chance that he's looking for.
So you said this is what he's been,
this is what he's been waiting for
and he's been patient as can be doing it.
You know, I think
Cole going back to the Xfini series,
you know, I think what if he goes and wins ten races?
Is somebody else give him a shot?
I mean, he might got a shot right there at Stuart House again.
Yeah, yeah, you're right,
because there's going to be some more doors opening.
So, you know, if he goes back and reestablishes himself a little bit,
you know, he gave his confidence back up.
And he ran well the last month or so of the season.
He had some decent speed,
but it was just a little bit too late in the year,
but he did struggle.
He did struggle with the first part of the season pretty bad.
So probably, like you said, a win-win for both these guys.
Tyler.
Yeah.
You know, I look at how Stuart Haas ran this year,
and it's unfortunate that Cole's the one that loses the ride,
but, you know, certainly when I race against him in the Xfinity series,
man, he had, there was just days.
He was untouchable, and so, you know,
I definitely think he has a huge opportunity to go.
go back and win a lot of races.
I wouldn't be, like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if he wins at least five or six
races if he gets right back to it and wins those that many races.
I guess the biggest thing I wonder is, are they going to give, does Ryan Priest have to
get it done in one year?
Are they going to give him two years?
What could this look like for him?
Yeah.
I think if he runs good, he's extended.
I don't know, man.
You know, statistically on paper, this doesn't make sense because you've got Cole Custer
with 108 races in the last three full-time seasons.
One win as a rookie, which he put them,
he took them to school in that restart.
No top fives in the last two years.
That's bad.
Now, could he and Tyler, I ask you this not to get in a pickle,
but could he have gotten to Stewart House racing
into Cup car at a worse time than the last two years?
I mean, I think he came in,
he came in when I did, and, you know,
that was the year that he saw Harvick have a lot of speed,
but certainly I know from my experience coming into the Cup series during that COVID year
where you know you kind of were hoping to have those you know multiple or I think it was two
one hour practice sessions 55 minutes right losing all that that was that was really tough for me
and that's coming from a driver that was really aggressive and could just drop of the hat figure it
out but you still don't really know what the car drives like or how it's going to change over a run
So, I mean, you definitely can't rule that out that it hurt his, you know, his first year in the Cup series.
He did win that Kentucky race.
But it was just a little weird, you know, like I've worked with Mike Sheplet.
I know Cole Custer really well from racing against him.
Just something didn't really add up.
Like, Cole should have been running better than he did.
I think Cole Custer and Ryan Priest can drive race cars.
You agree with that?
They both can, yeah.
I mean, Cole's last year, full-time Exfinity Series,
he won seven races.
Oh, yeah, I remember.
Okay, so.
I gave him a few.
Who financially was going to take him cup racing?
Well, it was Gene Haas, and Gene Haas did.
What does Gene Haas have as a president?
It's Cole Custer's dad.
So, like, you guys think he can move back and then move back up.
Well, what car is he going to get in?
Because if he's not going to get in Gene Haas's car, like, who's going to pay for him?
Is Smithfield going to pay for him when Amarola retires,
or is Bush going to pay for him when I don't think so?
Like, if I'm Stuart Haas,
And I look at this driver change.
I don't understand why you didn't go after a Kyle Busch.
Or I know you were in a unique situation given your contract, but after a Tyler Redick,
like if you want an A guy in your car, which Gene historically has, i.e. had Kurt Bush.
Like, why are we in this situation?
But Ryan Priest has four more starts in Cup than Cole Custer does.
So 115 total starts.
He has two top fives and nine top tens.
Now, I realize he hasn't been in great stuff.
but again, if we're looking at this on paper,
there ain't a big upgrade.
It's not like you went from a C guy to an A guy.
You went from a C guy to a C guy with potential.
Ryan Priest ran fast in Joe Gibbs racing equipment,
won some races.
You know, he may be the luckiest guy on the planet
because he didn't run,
and I actually had this in my notes somewhere,
he ran 15 total races in 2022
in NASCAR touring series in the top three touring series.
So you go from that to a premier ride.
It tells me a couple things.
A, brought some money, which Freddie alluded to.
United Rentals, I think, was one of the companies I heard in that conversation.
Kevin Harvick is obviously his management team.
You would have to think he had some say in that.
I'm just surprised if they were going to make a driver change,
they didn't make a significant change on the marketability side and or driver side.
So Ryan Priest, once again, is in a do-or-die situation.
I think it's his last one.
Again, I think Ryan Priest is a phenomenal race car driver,
but this is it.
This is all the,
all the cards are on the table.
He better have a hell of a lot more.
I mean, what I say?
He had two top fives in his career.
He better have a hell lot more top fives than that at the end of the year.
If he's going to keep this right.
I would say the way that when he's been put in the situations in the truck
series, when it's like, okay, you got to get the job done to win this race,
he has.
So, you know, not say the cold hasn't been able to do that.
I mean, I've watched him win some,
went some pretty, pretty wild races.
Like I said, I've, I've played my part in handing him some of those race wins myself.
You've fought him one time.
That wasn't a fight.
The best part about that is we were laughing right as we're like, you know, hands on each other.
Like, we're really going to do this?
He's like, yeah, he's like, all right, let's do it then.
I was delirious at that point.
And there we go.
But, yeah, we, believe it or not, we still laugh about that to this day.
I think the over under on his wins this year's eight.
Cole? I mean, who's, I mean.
Yeah, that's what I was going to get to.
Looking at the Xfinity field as a whole
with obviously guys like Ty and Noah leaving
and the few driver announcements like John Henry Meachek, Cole,
who are the ones to watch?
I mean, I think at the road courses,
this, I don't know, might be a surprise, might not.
But I've seen it when he's ran the Xfinity car
for, I guess, green light or the other teams that he has.
I've even seen it in the cup car.
When we get to a road course,
Cole is at the top of all the Stuart Haas cars
or when he helps the next Finney car, he runs good.
So it wouldn't surprise me at all
if he's in contention to win every single road course race.
Then I look at like, you know,
a lot of the war out race tracks that we have,
well, that's changing.
We don't have a lot of war out race tracks anymore.
But the ones that we do,
he's always been really fast at like Fontana.
I was getting ready to say Atlanta, Texas,
but we've lost those.
Chicago and, oh, wait, just kidding.
Either way, I think Cole's going to be competitive.
A couple more at race tracks, so there's a couple there.
He's going to be competitive at a lot of track.
Here's who the big spot on winner, and is this whole situation is Riley Herbst.
Because he was a single car team in the Xfinity series with no help.
And look, a lot of money.
Is he a winner?
Let me ask you this.
We're going to find out.
That's what I'm saying.
We're going to find out, right?
So he's no longer a single car team.
He's going to have a ton of help.
The resources are going to be on the table.
We know they want Cole to succeed.
We also know that.
Look, man, Riley Herps' dad had a big play.
and that Smithfield deal coming back.
The day announced crew chiefs?
I don't know if they announced on.
But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter.
Their cars are going to be fast.
Joe Gibbs racing cars are going to be fast.
RCR cars at certain places are going to be fast,
as will collie racing.
Problem of collier racing is they got one win across three teams.
So their drivers are going to have to really,
really step it up this year in order to win races.
Now, I do know they've got some plans
to get some more technology into that program
and make those cars faster.
when you look at this thing as a whole,
the best driver in the series,
without a doubt,
is Cole Custer.
Right?
Yeah.
I mean,
there could be arguments made for Justin Algeyer.
There could be arguments made for Josh Barry,
but then he hired TJ,
so that's out the window.
Yeah,
but I don't know.
Got a help him.
I don't know nothing against J.R.M.
here by saying this,
but they don't have the resources
if Stuart Haas is going to have.
They're not on campus with Hendrick.
Hendrick doesn't,
Hendrick's big money comes into JRM
when JRM has a developmental
driver like a William Byron, like a Chase Elliott, like a Tyler Reddick.
They dump a lot of resources in Hendrick Will to make sure those cars run fast.
Right now there's not a guy in there that Hendricks got his hat hung on.
But I mean, who did they have last year?
Because they were the fastest cars on the racetrack last year.
I agree with you.
And I said that was a surprise to me.
With Dave Ellen's leaving and Luke Lambert coming in, now Luke Lambert leaving,
I think they figured something out that we talked about like track house.
Like the track house figured something out that was clearly legal.
I think they did.
I think Junior Motorsports will still be fast.
I think Justin Algar, to your point, is just as good as Cole Custer.
He should probably be in Cup.
But with this combo, I think the overrunner wins on this guy's eight.
Yeah, I mean, I almost give him nine.
And it's because of, and I love this, when, you know,
me and McMurray talked about this a couple weeks ago,
month ago, whenever our last show was,
like, it used to be the cup drivers on the Xfinity series.
Now they don't.
Now we can legitimately build rivalries.
And we can have Noah Gregson mad as hell at Ty Gibbs.
It wouldn't have mattered if they were racing for 8th.
It matters when they're racing for the win.
So the Xfinity Series is in the best position.
It's ever been from a legitimate series standpoint,
limiting how much, you know, Tyler Reddick can race,
Kyle Bush can race, Austin Dillon.
Like they don't let them into playoffs.
They don't let them in a dash for cash.
They don't let them in certain races.
Like I'm where the Xfinity Series is that right now
from a package standpoint, from a driver standpoint,
rivalry standpoint?
Everything.
It's a 10 out of 10.
100%.
All right.
Moving on to the Cup series.
Denny Hamlin and Dale Jr. are calling for the championship to be decided in more races than a one race winner take-all finale. Tyler, spot on, spot off.
They're thinking like...
The finale or finale?
Are they thinking about doing it kind of like F1 does where it's a culmination of all the races over the season?
Wild concept.
I'm kidding.
That would be a new concept of NASCAR.
Geez.
Good research that I've done for this.
Box, box, box this lap.
Good research I've done for this.
This first I've heard of this, but I mean...
You gotta start with.
Denny's great.
Denny's great, yeah.
Well, we can say Dale's great too.
He was my boss.
I just gotta teach you.
I do.
Yeah, I mean,
you could go either way with this, right?
Like, what's gonna be the most exciting?
I think when you have a one race finale,
it a track that really opens up the door
for drivers put it out on the line,
make that mistake.
Cost them every single chance
of winning the championship or not.
like a homestead or or some of these tracks that we have where you can really go for it
and have that risk versus reward.
But when, I don't know, I mean, you can kind of go for on a restart Phoenix around the apron,
but I mean, it's just not the same type of race track.
Certainly it's about having a perfect day, but I don't know.
I could go either way on this.
I mean, I love racing for it in one race.
It's worked really well for me at Homestead.
twice.
Twice.
Yeah.
I remember I walked into your holler that day
at Junior Motorsports.
It was your championship day
and I said, man, like,
don't be in a hurry to rip the rent fence.
You were like,
you were like, fuck that.
I'm going up there lap one.
And you did.
He literally did.
I was like, thank God he didn't listen to me.
How really did you come in the hauler
because I may not have been all there yet?
Neither was I.
We had a late night.
Me and Dave and the crew were strategizing.
Dave comes up with some great setup.
in that situation, I think.
Oh, yeah.
Now, the best part is me and Dave, the horrible team,
we had a plan pretty much from, I don't know,
after we got done celebrating Victory Land at Daytona,
like, all right, we just make it there, we'll be good.
And then the best part about when I did it with Randall
is we go into practice and I'm like, we suck, we're terrible.
What are we going to do?
And then he goes into the holler and Danny Lawrence
stand behind him watching him.
And Randall changed everything on our race car from practice to the race.
And Daniel Lawrence is losing his mind.
I'm like, what are you doing?
And Reynolds, like, I'm just going for it.
My God, it worked.
It's crazy.
So I've done it both ways.
It's pretty wild.
Danny Lawrence is one of my favorite people in the garage.
He's, he's,
he's,
he's,
he's been doing this forever.
He's not that old.
But he's literally been doing this.
He's been doing this his whole life.
He was obviously an engine builder,
a big part of ECR success for a long time.
When Will Lynn left RCR, Danny took a...
Danny's one of my favorite people.
Yeah, he's...
Great guy.
He's one of a kind.
Yeah.
Ready, spot on, spot off.
Spot on. Denny's great.
Dale's pretty good.
Listen, I agree with them.
I don't like the single race format I've said on here before.
It's just too many variables to decide your champion.
You get a late race caution.
You get a bad pit stop.
I mean, you look at what happened to Bell.
Like, the guy's fingers got caught between the wheel and the rotor.
Don't put your fingers there.
You know, like I don't think that should do.
determine your entire season.
First thing I would do, I would start right off the bat and cut the field
in half, maybe not in half, but cut the field down.
Like, I don't think half of our field should make the playoffs.
You know, we got 16 guys going in there.
I don't know that there's 32 competitive cars every week.
So that would be one thing I do.
I'd cut it right back to 10 or 12 right off the bat.
Just make it harder to get in.
What do you do if you have 15 winners like we did this year?
Same thing.
You would do if we had 25 winners this year to start.
How many seconds you got?
How many thirds?
Yeah, like it's points or more wins, win more races.
So I think it's just not, I shouldn't say too easy because obviously we saw this year you had to win a race to get in.
But just cut the field down and then you put yourself in a position where you've got 10 or 12 guys and you cut it down to three or four for the last three races.
And that's your deal for the championship because then at least you have, we've talked about it on here before rotating the tracks.
You don't have to do that.
You have the same tracks, whatever order you're going to go to.
but you don't have one guy like Tyler
that's really good at Homestead.
If you make the championship rate Homestead,
Tyler's got an advantage over somebody
that can't run the top as good as he is.
And another thing we talked about this year with Joey,
Joey wins Vegas.
He just has to worry about Phoenix now.
Like he can take all his momentum,
all his energy,
all that team's energy and focus on Phoenix
where you can't do that
if every race matters just as much in the playoffs.
So I just think...
That's the advantage of winning their race.
Yeah, I get it.
And listen, I'm not like to Tyler's point,
the most exciting thing,
thing for television, most exciting thing for the fans is one race deal. We know what it is.
Whoever finishes ahead of who in this race is your champion. I just hate, and it probably just goes
back to the fact that I just an old school short track kid. Like, I just hate the fact that you
have one race to determine, like look at two years ago. I forget if it was Martin or Denny's
leading the race and we just have a late race caution for nothing. There's just a bull
caution that now that's going to determine your season long champion. And I just don't
agree with that. DJ?
I could go either way as well.
I think the drama with this one race is incredible.
I mean, it is, I've been in that scenario, and there is, you don't sleep the night before
when you're in the championship race.
Like, you don't sleep.
Some for us.
Some of a certain reason, some for other.
I mean, it's tough, man.
The drama leading up to it, but it's been known that if you win that race, the first race
that puts you into the championship four,
you have built yourself an advantage.
And that's why in 18,
Joey moved Martin, you know,
because he had a shot of winning
and he knew if he won that race,
those guys could go back to the shop
and start working on his car for Homestead that year.
And, man, it was, that car was a fast car.
I mean, we had a rocket that night.
I think Truex is a little bit better than the long run,
but for 25 laps, nobody could touch us, you know?
And we had a late-raised caution,
and there was an actual wreck.
So, you know, it's how it worked out.
But, you know, I'm not so sure a three or four, three or four race playoff wouldn't be, you know,
I wouldn't mind seeing your season not be done if you, if you have a bad pit stop or something.
It shouldn't, you know, I hate seeing that end your season.
But also, man, this is a, these, we all, you know, these people all are, we make a good living being to do our jobs and to do your job that day.
if you win the championship, everybody on your team, pit crew, spotter, crew chief, driver,
everybody did their job to the best you could do.
And they were the champions that day.
So you've put together a good year to get there, a phenomenal year to get there.
If you're in the championship before, you've had a really good year.
So if you put together that year and you get a shot in that Final Four, I'm okay with it ending like that.
I think NASCAR's smartest thing they've ever done in terms of,
how we determine a champion is to come up with the chase for the Sprint Cup,
which actually was a Next-Tale Cup to start with.
It was 2004, and they took 10 guys, and those 10 guys went and raced for the championship.
Now, back then, when the series champion was crowned, a lot of times it happened like the F-1 does.
It was two to three races to go in the season, or it was you were going into Atlanta,
their last race of the year, and all the guy had to do was start his car.
So in one of your sports biggest moments, clearly your Daytona 500 is still,
our biggest moment based on ratings, attendance.
We've gotten close with this championship race.
Not on ratings.
Well, I'm saying pressure-wise, you know.
I agree with you on pressure internally, not externally.
But when NASCAR came up with that idea and Nextel, you know, embraced it and TV embraced it,
I thought it was phenomenal.
And a lot of fans were upset.
But when you looked at the reasoning, it made a lot of sense because it made the sport
relevant again for 10 weeks from a championship conversation.
Since then, however, TV and.
in my opinion, has dictated everything that we do.
The deal where we had multiple cars out there qualifying at Daytona and Talladega and Michigan and Pocono,
we look like a bunch of idiots trying to post a fast lap, waiting on 30 seconds to go in the stage.
We look like clowns, and that was because of TV.
And I think TV wanted two cup practices this year.
You know, we'll do one for 15 minutes.
We'll take a break.
We'll do another one for 15 minutes.
Why?
Because if Tyler Reddick is in session two, well, we'll interview.
him during session one and vice versa for those guys that were in session one interview him in
session two session two um do i love a winner take all championship as a true nascar fan growing up since
1979 the first time i ever went to a racetrack no but they're looking for a game seven moment
and everything that tj just described makes a lot of sense but from a racer that's 40 plus years old
like del jr like denny hamlin they want another chance right they don't want it
to be a what happens if we have a bad pit stop or what happens if we have a part failure or
we have a tow link go bad because we brush the wall.
I think the solution to championship weekend is leave it like it is for now, but don't leave
it in the same market.
We're going on year three or year four in Phoenix.
The drivers don't think it's a great track.
I mean, we just had McMurray on here two weeks ago who raced for 20 years in Cup going
this place that and put on a good race.
That's 1998, I think, were the words he said.
1989.
1989.
I missed it by year.
So take us to somewhere that does.
The problem is somewhere that does has changed because the only thing worse than our short track package right now is our plate track package.
The racing is awful.
So like they've got to figure out.
I think they're doing updates to the car, which I don't know if we'll talk about that later at all.
Obviously, I think it's mostly safety driven.
But we cannot keep going to the same track in the season when it puts on as poor of a race in the cup car.
as it does in Phoenix.
Like Jamie said,
he thought the Xfinity race
wasn't any better in the Cup series.
I disagreed with him.
I actually went back and looked at some highlights.
I thought that race was great,
but I'm not a fan of the Cup Cars at Phoenix.
Not if we're going to go there twice.
But should it be a winner-tech all?
Game 7 moment.
If that's what you're trying to get,
I don't know how else you get it.
If we go,
if we're going to be that as a final,
let's just go there one time at the end of the year.
You know what I mean?
Make it a surprise to everybody.
You know, if that's going to be the championship race,
don't go in the spring.
Yeah, we had a test and,
in January.
We raced there in the spring.
It was really cool to see the evolution
of the cars and the racing
from that test
to the spring to the fall.
But yeah, we had three,
you know, essentially two cracks at it
to get it close.
And then we show back up a third time.
Everyone was, I mean,
there was a little bit of parity
through the field for sure.
The guys that really hit it right.
But as we've seen with this car,
you know, the box is smaller.
So the more chance we have it to track,
the closer everyone's going to be
from first to 20th,
then you would think that would be a good thing,
but it's not always it is.
I feel like, you may disagree with me,
I feel like on Saturday when you won your championships,
you were racing 18 guys for the win.
I feel like on Sunday,
you're probably racing 27 guys for the win,
depending on where we're at.
How much more control did you have as a driver
on Saturday then versus Sunday now,
in terms of what you could get out of the equipment?
Well, I mean...
The difference the driver could make.
I wouldn't even say it was actually 18,
but...
you know, it was just, it's just different.
You know, the Xfinity car,
you knew you were going up against probably four or five,
I mean, I'd say it,
but I feel like there was only about four or five drivers in the field
that if they hit it right and the cars that they're in
with what they know about, let's just say Homestead,
that you go up there and contend.
That's just, I mean, that's just how confident I was.
I'm not really sure, but,
but certainly you just know with certain tracks you would go to over the years,
or over the year that, like, you know,
we would go here and the Gibbs cars are going to be fast.
We would go here and Custer was going to be one of the better cars.
We would go to a lot of the tracks that year,
the year I was with RCR in the Xfinney series,
and it's like, we're going to be one of the top three cars.
But I feel like that was more of what the team and the crews
were working on behind the seams on the shop
and how they're preparing the cars.
Now with this car, it's hard to really get it right.
If you miss it by a little bit, it's a lot.
at a lot of these tracks, and as I've discovered,
it's really, really difficult to,
if you're off, you know, three numbers one way or the other,
it's really hard to adjust the car itself
and get that right without sacrificing something
and hurting your car a different way.
And so I really have seen it, just looking back on it
throughout the year, you know,
the teams that were really, really good on Pitt Road
were huge difference makers
and how someone's race unfolded
or how they progressed through the field.
Yeah. Passing's a lot harder in the Cups.
is in the cars are a lot closer so it's going I've been told by cup drivers that this car like once
you get on edge you're wrecking is it pretty much you're asking the wrong guy that one is it
i've somehow gotten away with it a few times it took some practice going backwards down a race
right one time it took some practice at the charlotte test oval test but uh pretty much i mean you can
get lucky i think i got lucky like two or three times at texas that day but i mean you don't i almost like
it to a degree i've talked to a couple of
drivers about this. I think I've talked to Noah about it. Talk to Ty Gibbs about it. Like,
after driving the cup car and going back to the Xfinity car is like, this is too easy. I hate to say
that. I really do. I hate to say that. You can slide the Xfinity car. You can, you can be sideways
and not really pay a penalty. I mean, you're going to burn the tires up a little bit. But some of the
tracks we go to, like Texas when I was running for Big Machine, like there really wasn't a penalty
for overslipping the right rear tire. It was going to help you the longer you would go. You know, you could
slide the car way more than you could the cup car. And the cup car, your window is is so narrow
that if you go over it, you're gone. And so in a way, over last year, as I was kind of bouncing
back and forth between the two cars, I kind of thought, well, you know, the cup car in a way is more
fun. But some of the tendencies of it in dirty air were frustrating. The exfitting car, you could get
someone loose. You could get loose. Someone got on you. And the cup car is pretty much opposite.
Yeah. No matter what, you're going to get tighter behind somebody. And you weren't moving them.
They weren't getting loose.
No, no.
From everything I saw, the closer you got to the car head of you,
you would, you would bring them faster.
Give them more grip.
Remember the first time?
We watched Jimmy Johnson, somebody going to the corner right behind him.
I forget what track we were testing at.
It might have been Charlotte or something like that.
And it was with the, I think the old car, but we, you know,
it was hard in the old car to get somebody.
We saw somebody go in there right on his bumper and we were like,
oh, he's going to wreck him.
And he didn't even budge.
And the guy behind him slid up the race track.
That's been the case ever since.
I like the fact that if you're willing to drive into that corner a little bit harder,
just try to, you're putting that, you can use that as a tool to pass.
We have no tools for that right now.
We're you literally just looking.
In a matter of fact, you'd almost want to bait somebody into it.
You'd almost want to, okay, I'm going to.
Yeah.
You really, you would always see it.
I don't know.
I feel like you would see it a lot of the mile and half racing we had,
the 550 package where someone take the really big arc.
And, you know, it's a lot of the same effect, but it was almost multiplied.
Once you got down the white line, even if it was late.
you know, your loss of grip behind a car is a lot more than the old car was,
but that wake is a lot narrower with this car.
It's just a lot more concentrated.
So it's certain tracks where you could move around and, you know,
that's your car half a lane.
That's the defense mechanism now.
You take that big arc.
They're like, oh, you're leaving the bottom open.
Oh, no, you're not.
Damn it.
And you've already driven in there.
Like, you're going to run the bottom.
And then they come down five feet in front of you and you're just like,
I feel like you lost three races this year with left for tires being cut.
Is that fair?
I think at least.
What was that?
Was that mechanically?
Was it team induced?
Was it flats?
Drivers.
Fontana was,
you know,
Fontana 100% is much that pains me to say,
well,
I mean,
it doesn't.
That was on me.
Fontana was.
We had a really good car.
Me and Eric Jones were,
we're very similar on setup in that race.
I knew that.
And, you know,
Dave was making good adjustments.
We were making good adjustments on our car.
We were just kind of,
We get closer some runs and we get further apart some runs.
And I just, in my head, I thought, okay, I really got to be aggressive blocking Eric down the front straightaway on the one run.
I had the flat tire.
And I remember going all the way to the flat coming back up and cold tires too, right?
They had about six or seven laps on them.
But certainly I feel like that was the only thing that was different.
The tire pressures hadn't changed.
That was the only thing that was different from when I had that failure to other runs in the race.
And so, I mean, I put Fontana on myself for sure.
but you look at Charlotte, I think Kansas,
I don't know, you know, talking back with Randall,
we really didn't change a lot of air pressure stuff,
but the margin error that you had,
especially that portion of the year was really small.
So, I mean, if, even a place like Kansas,
I think I had my tire failure after I'd been running the seam
for about two or three laps after I caught lap cars.
And when you put your left side tire, you know, below that seam,
you're putting more pressure on it.
You're kind of de-weged in the car,
and maybe that led, well, it was actually my right rear tire failure,
but even so that puts more stress on the right rear tire.
So I think two out of three were my fault.
Did I know that I was going to cause that flat when I was doing it?
No, but yeah, it definitely was a, what was tough.
Everything, those got better as the year went on too, so everyone figured it out.
Yeah, so I was just curious what Tyler thought because, I mean,
I don't know that anybody had more speed cross the board.
Well, it was, it was a, there was a really fine line.
Like you try and get the cars as low as you can without hitting the stops.
And, you know, if you work,
on them. One, you're going to damage your tire
or at that time earlier in the year,
especially, the loads that the tire was seeing wasn't
really, as far as I know, planned
or, you know, when we were doing
these tire tests and everything. Race teams find speed.
Yeah, they're like, oh, we can put this thing on the stop
without, you know, snapping loose. Like, it's going to be
faster, but the loads through the tire go up.
All right, let's move on. The
Race Team Alliance is looking into
the idea of holding RTA
exhibition races as NASCAR's
best teams are exploring
their own events in the
off season. Brett, this one's for you. Man, I'm spot on for this. I think this door open when NASCAR decided
to go to the LA Coliseum and could transform a place that's nothing like a racetrack into a
racetrack into a pretty short amount of time. I mean, when you look at the international
opportunities, it exists with NASCAR and some of the cool countries and facilities and soccer
stadiums that are out there. Like, could you imagine us going to Spain right now and taking one of
those soccer stadiums and taking our top 20 names in the sport? And,
having a really cool car design and doing a pay-per-view,
I think there's a demand for that,
potentially even a bigger demand than what our ratings are seeing.
So I'm spot on for the RTA getting creative.
I'm spot on for owners that are pushing the envelope a little bit here
because conversations like this, whether you like it or not,
it puts the pressure on NASCAR to maybe do a little more revenue sharing
than they've done in the past.
And when you do that, it makes guys like T.J. majors, Freddie Kraft,
and Tyler Reddick make more money.
So I'm all for it.
Great.
Yeah, I mean, in a perfect world, I think that's correct.
I think that's what the play is here.
I think this is a bargaining chip.
I think this is a, you know, this is a chip in the, the, essentially a bluff.
I don't, in my opinion, what are you going to run?
You can't run the cup car.
That's what I was just here.
If you run the cup car, you're breaking, here's your only limitation.
And look, trademarks are a real thing.
I'm fortunate to own three trademarks in my businesses.
trademarks are all sorts of levels and you have to own international trademarks.
So the word stock car is where NASCAR gets you, the National Association Stock Car Auto Racing,
right? Stock car is where they got you.
But if you go to Bahrain and they don't have that trademark there, you can call it whatever
the hell you want to call it.
But even if you get an SRX car and you cut the spoiler off of it and you put a teeny tiny
spoiler on the back and you call it Bahrain Racing, what are they going to do?
do. They're going to do same than they did to whoever it was that tested a car at whatever track
it was. Mike Harmon. They got testing rules in place and so you can't test the same or similar
cars at different racetracks. That's why they have these rules. That's what I'm saying. So do you think
they're going to suspend their top 20 drivers before the Daytona 500? No, no chance. I don't think so,
but that's what I'm saying. This is all back and forth. I think this is mostly, I think this is, I think
that's great. I think it would be amazing. Get two paychecks out of Danny's ass.
It pays a lot to go to Bahrain
I'm going to NASCAR races
And RTA races Danny
You pay me a lot
I mean you're not
I mean the other shot of fireball
But no
I mean listen
It'd be great if this happens
Because I think the fans win
If they get to see their
Their favorite drivers more
I just
I see this more as a
Us not racing in Canada
is arguably the dumbest thing
We do all year
We have so many
How many Canadians
Tweet you
every week wanting to buy a couch race or merchandise.
A lot.
Where are we not in Canada?
Where are we going to run?
There's some tracks up there you can go to.
There's a couple.
I mean,
Montreal.
I mean, there's definitely some road courses.
They had some, I've seen.
We don't road course race though.
It was Jukasa or whatever the hell the name of the place was.
There was a big label race.
Yeah.
That's Kiyuga.
That's it.
That's it.
Yeah.
TJ, what do you think?
Ah, man.
This is a really.
I mean, I'd like to go to other places.
You know what I mean?
And TJ's still in break for him.
I don't want to.
He's had two shots of fireball.
One more.
We're going to get his opinion.
Shirtless.
All right, Tyler.
You too.
Fuck you, Jason.
Two more shots of fireball.
TJ's going to be on the table without a shirt.
McMurray this thing, man.
I'm going to McMurray if I take one more shot of fireball,
nipples and everything.
You down for this or not?
Depends on if it's a, yeah, if it excels the sport and we make progress with it.
Yeah, why not?
But I'm also like being home, which I have not been yet.
on a weekend. That's your fault. That is my fault.
So, yeah.
Tyler. Well, um, it's, it's interesting.
He wants to paychecks to you.
The one thing I'll say is I'm a race car driver. I love to race. So honestly, like,
it's great that we get to go race 37, eight weekends a year on the cup level. But man,
you know, I understand what I have the restrictions of the place on Xfinity and truck.
But, uh, you know, I had a lot of fun running for big machine. I had a lot of fun running for a
lot of fun running for these other Xfinity teams the last couple years. So anytime that we can
go race and go somewhere new, I mean, internationally too. I mean, there's a lot of fantastic
mainly road courses, but there's some really nice road courses across the globe. I mean, I just
love to race. So for me, if we have an opportunity to do that, I'd love it. If you're looking for more
races, I mean, Chili Bowl and Shoot Out or things chat's working on. So feel free. Yeah, I know. I need
talked about like surface paradise.
Let's go.
Absolutely.
Let's go.
TJ, this next one's for you.
Kyle Bush compares his move to RCR
to Tom Brady and Peter Manning's
This is not a football podcast.
Team saying they left great teams and were able
to win somewhere else.
I still have that opportunity to do that at RCR.
What do you think?
I don't know if it's Tom Brady and Peyton Manning,
but he's right on the opportunity to go
some and wins from race somewhere else which
nowadays
does anybody really start and finish
their career at one place other than who's the last one
to do it? Jimmy?
Danny so far. Danny has on his way
but I mean he's still racing
so yeah no I know but I'm saying I think that
I'm good now I got to drive you got a Tesla
no we can get you newberry it's fine and actually has self
driving the whole time now so
Josh Williams says it's fine you'll take it takes
your whole race um
that's a good tall it's
you know I'm excited for Kyle to go and we all
kind of saw this coming throughout the years with all the stuff that went down.
This was like you could kind of see this.
So, you know, hopefully Kyle can go and be successful.
Otherwise, we're all in for a great ride.
Tyler, what do you think?
I mean, Kyle, for sure.
Somebody's phone is ringing.
It's my, it's a public service now when my kids didn't go to school days.
They're puking.
Brett got a public service announcement.
Can you at least clear it?
You have two messages, Kelly.
Had an unexcused absence today.
I don't know she missed school, too.
She must be cute.
Now we got three kids, pukees.
I told you, they're all puking.
Oh, no.
Good luck, guys.
That's why we're drinking fireball.
Yeah, I'm just going to kill it all right now.
I'm going to take that shot.
Yeah, I mean, Kyle certainly is a driver that hasn't gone over the hump yet.
like he's still in his prime and um you know i i'd certainly i was a part of r c r c r's journey for a number
years uh and trying to go in the right direction and certainly i feel like i left rCR better than
than i found it so i agree with that i certainly feel like you know him and my all my guys that
that were my guys for for you know three four years are going to have a great opportunity in front
of themselves to to further you know their own story but but kiles as well so yeah when you
when you look at it, I guess
the only thing that I think is kind of funny,
I saw that they changed the font of the eight.
I never really asked for it,
but I didn't think it was on the table when I was there.
I hated the final year.
I hated your eight.
I don't know.
Richard wanted it.
I think Richard said he kind of wanted to look like,
you know,
like a football jersey.
Sorry,
Mike.
Hey,
I'm talking about football.
You mean soccer.
Soccer, yeah.
I'm spot on for Kyle Bush's comment here.
I do think he's in the same conversation
as Peyton Manning,
um,
Tom Brady.
I don't know about that part yet.
One race win in 2022 for Kyle Busch.
Bristol dirt track.
What happened there?
Thanks to Tyler.
Couple races.
He could have certainly won that he had things go wrong.
So, I mean, he could have potentially had a zero to three win season going based on the guy.
I saw a race all year.
I think that he might make plays not excuses because what you said, he's walking into a team that won a couple of races last year,
wanted a road course.
I know he's really hard
on people when he doesn't have speed
and I'm curious how this whole thing's going to play.
It's very, very
it's, it's
what now that's going to go.
I didn't necessarily mean Derek,
but I think
you mean daddy?
I think he's going to.
Will he call him daddy?
I don't know.
I don't think he's going to.
I think that Kyle Bush
is putting a
lot of pressure on himself this off season to stick it up Joe Gibbs racing's ass for letting
him leave. He has a he has the fire right now. Well I mean I'm not a part of it anymore but I'm
lucky money to wreck you I mean hey I mean whatever it takes to win right but I think also I mean I thought I
you know I brought a lot to the table at RCR but certainly from the people I know they're like
you know everyone really wanted to execute and do really well.
when I was there, but certainly when you got a guy like Kyle Bush coming into your organization,
it's like, we better clean this up, right?
Like all the little things that we've been working on to get better, like, you know,
as a process over the year, it's like we need to, all those things we've been working on,
we need to have solved by the time we get to Daytona.
You know what?
Everyone's going to fill the pressure.
He's kind of right.
I mean, if you get Kyle Bush coming in, it is like you got Tom Brady coming in there.
You know what I mean?
Like, it's kind of, I can see where he, I mean, it's a big shot in the arm for them guys.
I mean, to sign him and get him in there is a big deal.
So I can see what he means.
I don't disagree with what you're saying,
but my version of Tom Brady and my brain is Jimmy Johnson,
Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt.
My version of Peyton Manning is Kyle Bush.
You know, I don't know that he's a Tom Brady guy.
Freddie?
I mean, I think he wins races.
People love us talking about football on here, by the way.
Tom Brady sucks.
You know, I think Tyler showed what that car is capable of last year.
They had speed to win multiple races.
I mean, a handful of races and maybe more.
So the car's got speed.
The Randall and them guys have speed.
They, you know, and to think Kyle Busch isn't still one of the top five talents in that garage, you're crazy.
He's always been one of the most talented guys in that garage and on the racetrack.
So they just got to put it together.
The thing we talked about on here before is Kyle's used to being in the best on the racetrack at all times,
whether it was a KBM truck, a JGR, Xfinity car.
you know,
Hendrick equipment,
whatever it is,
it's some of the best
out there.
And I don't know that
while you had the speed
to win races,
I don't know that
RCR is the best stuff
out there.
So RCR's probably got to come up
a couple steps to meet Kyle
somewhere,
but I think that they win races.
Kyle's got to be logical too.
He's got to understand.
What do you say?
I don't say that again.
For so everybody that missed it.
No,
his opinion is coming out, right?
That's what happens.
A fireball.
They definitely got the most energetic engine tuner in the garage on that car.
That is a fact.
Who was their engine tuner?
Which one is?
Matt Lombardi.
He's my neighbor.
He ain't really good friend.
Yeah.
We're in for some stories.
I was terrified like the last half of the year that he was going to pull something
doing his big, you know, karate kick.
Let's go.
Pop off a kick.
I don't know if you ever looked down and saw it.
He was.
Oh, I've done seen it.
Yeah, he'd be ready to go at the start of the race.
We're going to need some secret stories from him.
Matt?
That's probably going to be some good ones.
No, he won't, no.
Not a chance.
Not a chance.
I'm talking about getting it from you.

His cars held together with duct tape and home.
Reaction
Feter starts now.
All right, it's time for
Reaction Theater.
We've got the best songs
of 2022 from Reaction Theater.
They're all Tyler's.
I mean, Jesus.
There's probably a handful different.
Tyler's are really good.
This is a little tune
that I like to call the Freddie Craft song.
Jesus, I don't remember this one.
Well, he was roaming along
down the streets of St. Louis.
They just got up from dinner
where he had a nice meal.
I forgot about this
Beautiful evening
Everything will be in fine
And a woman came up and offered
69
I forgot about this too
I got a gift for
Because bubble Wallace can never
pull through
The name of that song is happy ending
Yeah
What happened in St. Louis again?
Do you want to tell?
We were all
Just the high notes.
What happened is I came over the podcast and told the story that we were all out and we all went to go to bed and he was behind us.
And he called an Uber and he had this mail.
I was getting ready to say it.
I thought it was a guy who kept offering to give him a reach around.
That's not what do you offer.
I think he offered something better than that, right?
What do you offer?
Third base.
I don't know if you consider it better or worse.
I was like, he offered him a triple.
Bet they had drunk you were.
So Frady struck out, went back in the bar and called another Uber a little later.
I went and hugged Herschman for the next 20 minutes.
I was like, I do.
My text message, I woke up the next morning.
And it starts off like this a lot.
You're not going to believe this shit.
Like, that's how, that's, that's normal.
That's every day.
But then as I kept reading, I was like, no, you're right.
I didn't know that was going to be how this one ending.
You could say it was a happy ending, right?
Please don't push me, bread,
Casolowski.
I was throwing it back the beginning of year, right?
I see you in my mirror, but I don't want you to help me at all.
Please don't wreck me, Brad Casolowski.
Appreciate the help, but I don't want you to put me in the wall.
Oh, he's going to try to help.
There he is, I've seen back there.
But as soon as he tries to help me, my ass is.
side down in the air.
Say same thing about that girl in St. Louis.
I know T.J. Major sucks and he ain't going to help you at all.
No, that was that.
Oh, wait.
No, you're a...
That was the right car, but, like, you don't tell them to keep pushing.
And it only happened twice.
In the end of the race, one, I can say it was justified because you're trying to win the Daytona 500.
And if you're lined up with somebody, you got to go.
if Bubba clears, this is the 500.
If Bubba clears that outside lane, he's coming up.
I think so anyway.
Oh, yeah.
Are we really defending this all these months later?
I'm defending it the whole time.
I mean, have you just met T.J.?
Yeah.
And I will say that.
Nobody else is even asking.
I think I've listened a few times.
We're not even paying attention.
He's just going.
In the beginning of the race, yeah.
I mean, we got all the Toyota's in one shot, so it was pretty awesome.
Hey, that's not nice.
Well, they just happened to be lined up in the car we sent down there.
So that's how it worked out.
Well, if you got a question and it's burning deep inside,
you searched all not on Google,
and you just can't seem to find.
Well, I got your solution,
and it's a hit with all the boomers.
Just hop on Twitter and ask Junior.
Ask Junior.
for all your burning names
Ask Junior
Just call on Little Lee
Ask Junior
And he might answer back
In an uninterrupted segment
Without Mike Davis and Matt
Asch
Tudor
That's a great tune
That's pretty good
That was good
Well, every time you win
You puke up your whole spleen
In 2023
You're driving for the king
I used to think you were overrated
But this year you proved me wrong
Now I'm calling in to DBC
To sing the old Gregson song
And you're pretty dang cocky
Brother, that's a fact
But you can always find a bass pro car
at the front of the pack
I bet if you lost your beer
gut you can gain a couple of tents
but I guess it really
ain't that bad because you can still
climb the fence
and if you get to Phoenix
and your chances are looking slim
go puker guts up one more time
and win the championship
I think he was right
you gain tents if he lost his gut
he'd slow down. He's got that
insulation. Speed.
Dear John
You see it all now that Fred's gone
Gini pig pig killing
Don't you think he was too young
To be messed with his guinea pig friend
Cride the day alone
We should have known
We see it all now that Fred's gone
Don't you think Brett's girls
were too young
to be messed with
So reaction
Theater wrote
You a song
You should have known
We should have known
Fred
I think PJ got attacked by a game dude
I'd pour a little bit out for Fred
Dedicated to Fred Griffin
Poor little out
Go ahead and play
There you go
Yeah
P much 22
Poor guy
Any words for Fred
Rest and peace for
Barry P, Fred.
John Kiel.
You and Harambe.
We're up there looking down on us now.
John murder.
Yeah.
Guinea pig.
Guinea pig.
You don't ask you three white.
They'll put your dumb ass in the wall.
I guess, oh, happy Harvey's ride.
You're a crying, baby.
You want to ask those people questions.
I can't believe.
I can't let Bo listen.
I was going to say they can't believe they talk about Bo's favorite driver like that.
that ain't right
no
i honestly think noah could become
uh he's not
bo's favorite driver next year yeah
my voice is a little bit shot
but i'm gonna try to sing you phil as a song anyways
if you saw that video and turns three and turns four
that guy going crazy
like a little girl to justin bieber concert
i took that video and that was me
going crazy for ross chastain baby
that's the guy we met in phoenix
well i was over in martinsville yesterday eve
the first 400 laps about put me
I thought this sucks.
It's just like the spring.
Then I saw something that I ain't ever seen.
Well, Denny was safe and old Christopher Bell was driving away just like a bat out of hell.
It looked like the final four was set, but the don't give an F tour's not over yet.
Brandon said your floor points out, your chances are slim.
Oh my gosh, she's riding on the rim.
The rim ain't no other driver
With that big a balls
Ross chastain and the watermelon
Wall crawl
I mean we have the
Most talented listeners on the planet
I was so jealous when he did that
I was like damn it
Were you jealous or were you mad?
I was jealous
I was jealous.
I was jealous.
Like in Martinsville
Like this shit
You wouldn't have been jealous if that gate gave away
I was kind of mad I was a lap down the end of Phoenix
I kind of had my mind made up
I was on lead lap
I need to make up a couple spots.
Why not?
Go for it.
The best thing you could have done was like make that move for like 23rd.
Yeah, why is it?
It was the first car one lap down.
There's no point.
I'm just saying it.
No, it would be like that'd be the point.
Just do it anyway.
Just do it.
Gain one spot.
Whatever is.
I mean, I talked to Ross about it.
You don't want to do it unless you're 810s faster.
I'm saying.
You got to do it if you're going to pass someone.
If you're not going to pass the one ain't worth it.
Oh, bull.
I just think it would have been awesome.
Put the show on.
Right in the passenger passenger seat.
Yeah.
Nah.
We caught on fire.
I'm like, I'm good in that patchy.
We went up in a ball of smoke.
Oh, I think y'all know what time it is.
We got Vegas in the rear view, so that means only one thing.
It's time to take our talents down to South Beach.
Want to know the difference between me and you?
I'm on DBC.
Let's get it.
Got my mind on Miami, Miami on my mind.
Season winding down three spots on the line.
Got my toes in the water.
of my ass in the sand.
I'm watching the best in the world laugh as fast as they can.
Bubba sent packing out what Dennis to do?
John Hunters and the wings ready to rally the crow.
So he stepped into the box ready to swing it away.
Swung a little bit too hard and now he's spinning at the plate.
Won't mention Danny's slip-ups because Danny's the man.
Unfortunately for Willie B, no, that wasn't the plan.
Loose wheel stalling out, Billy Boy's going through it,
trying to stay above to cut one race left to do it.
Reddick took a nose dive and Briscoe never caught a break.
Piles swept the stage just dominating the entire.
race not without sticking a snout wear it don't belong jacked up true x kept it moving along
one left before we go to settle it all old this ring on the circuit better be ready to brawl
because the gloves are coming off and nobody holding back we're about to go to war leave it all out on a
track hope you fans enjoy the ass kicking there and uh hoping to do it again a couple weeks
dear danny it's easy to see you i ever won page you this song sucks this song's terrible
Dear, Newney,
Championships long overdue.
Well, everybody knows that you're the real hack.
You better go cry on MJ's lap.
You tried to cheat with a piece of clear tape and got caught.
I bet you get scared when you hear the name Ross.
And I don't blame the watermelon man for what he started,
because you're nothing but the modern day Mark Martin.
You're all tall, and that's a fact.
Because we all know
We'll never pay Ross back
Let me slow this down
Because it's a lot to digest
Bed X sucks
I'm using UPS
And dear Denny
I hope this song didn't bring you pain
That's the best part of this song
Because I'll leave all that up
To Mr. Ross Chastain
That's a good one
So did he pay him back?
That song sucks.
Nope
You know what Ross told me
Like after the second incident
He looked at me and said
nobody's going to do anything
he couldn't have been more right
he's right
dear Danny
can you drink fireball before every race
before every show
we train two more we're going to score
I'm sitting here alone
and I just saw it
quip from all
he said
the season's over
and it's been a crazy year
then he shared some breaking news
about door bumper clear
he said
Freddy's off to rehab
For all the beer he drinks
T.J's going to grow
a pair and share what he really
thinks. Fireball. Brits off to
the dentist to fix those gap teeth
in his mouth in case
he's going to try to learn to pick up
the crap or kid throws down.
Nope. And as I
scroll through Twitter, I checked
old Jeff Gluck's poll
and everybody wants Jason
Shultz to stop making those tolerated
jokes.
Half, back half of the year, I was called, Hey, Jason Shultz.
One of that was called Tyler Redick.
Perfect.
Yeah.
I don't know if it's the same for you, but.
Not more than Kansas at night.
Oh, my God.
I'm sorry we have so many listeners.
Sorry, my dad.
I wish you could have seen the, the funniest part about that whole thing, aside from
the guy calling Tyler Jason Shultz was, as we're taking this picture, me and Tyler
were talking about where he ran and qualifying at Kansas.
I'm like, did you run top?
coming to green or what.
So Tyler was like, well, yeah, I ran up like top seam and then and the
guy thinks he's Jason.
So he's like, what?
Like, what's he talking about?
Where did he run and qualifying?
Like, he didn't, like, he doesn't drive.
He's like, his face was like super confused.
And that's when I knew I'm like, oh, he doesn't know that's Tyler.
No, that was funny.
Is that it?
Christmas jingle.
It is literally 2.30 in the morning where I'm at anyway, 5.30 for you all.
Is Tyler?
Saeed's
The day of you guys listening
This Monday
Easy answer
I'm gonna be trouble
Some sum for the year
And show
You know what I mean
Another year coming gone
Off season moving on
Only been a handful of the weeks
But it's a handful too long
Red Casey Freddie
T.J Jason
That's our crew
Life's a little bleaker
When we don't have you
All them hot takes
And bickering
Long days and snickering
Laughing at the Freddy's stories
Cracking open a liquor in
Shaking our heads
At all our breath's absurdity
while DJ sits in silence like
You won't hear a word from me
This year has been historic
Both on and off the track
A guest list stacked to the roof
More than we could have asked
From Caitlin to Denny, Noah Justin
And Jamie Mack
We have both all winning Burton
Baby don't get better than that
Had a guest host popping none other than Deeges herself
And I can't forget our resident elf up there on the shelf
Now I'm kidding
Tyler, we love it when you pop you're facing
But it's crazy how you keep impersonating Jason
Never forget the joy that you'll bring
to us every week.
It's a job to y'all, but it's entertainment that we seek.
We appreciate all of you do to smooth and rough.
I know it's crazy, but February can't come soon enough.
Before the song is over, I just want to take a second to acknowledge just how much we
the fans appreciate all the hard work you guys put in outside of what you regularly do to give us this show.
It truly is the light of at least my week.
And we thank you for that.
I also want to say thank you for let me put my songs on the last.
few episodes of the season. It means a lot to hear you guys react to my heart in the way that you
have. And I look forward to maybe doing more in the future. But in the meantime, we love you and
Merry Christmas. Do one more. Jesus. Shout out to Tyler. Tyler, we love you too. That was awesome.
That was awesome. Tyler, you're telling the kid. I actually want to get him on the show. I want to get him
on the show, Jason. Like, I'll pay for his flight to come to Sharper. Do we know where he lives?
Apparently the West Coast because he said it was three hours. I'll pay for half his flight to come
to show. I'll pay for the other half.
I was going to say a little split.
Yeah.
I mean, I have paid for half the dinner at night, right?
Yeah.
Well, we're hoping somebody gets too drunk and pays for all of it.
Here's the half of both.
Thank you.
Stay tuned, 2023.
Yeah.
That was awesome.
Thank you.
That was a talent.
He's a talented dude.
Cheers.
He's super talented.
We go next level with the legendary Ken Squire.
Common man doing uncommon beach.
They weren't going to fool around or fuss with anything that didn't have some teeth in it.
racing is full of daredevles.
Part of it was that brave enough to die thing.
The principals in the story come back on stage for one more round,
and they really got after each other.
Available now on all podcast platforms.
I'll save things for the end of the show, but I guess we'll do it now.
Open your day.
It's a shot, TJ.
You want to open his shot.
God dang.
You're down one.
All right, DVC White Elephant.
TJ, how does this work?
what do you mean?
Take your shot first.
We'll explain it.
So we've got five gifts on the table.
I randomly draw the order
and they're going to take a turn picking a gift
and open it up and see what it is.
The next person can either
The white ones are for y'all
impersonally.
But then the second person, after you open the gift,
yeah.
You can either, before you open the gift,
you can either decide to pick a new one
or trade for somebody else's.
No.
That might be yours, T.J.
Casey, you're going to pick which one you're.
Oh, good catch.
Good catch.
All right.
Poor Chad.
I don't think Chad's,
your first pick a gift.
I hope he's got a good lasso.
Tie himself to a pole.
You got to pick a gift, dumbass.
I do.
I'm going on with this one.
All right.
Do I open it?
Yeah, open it.
See what it is.
It's a little late now.
I didn't see what it was.
It's awful thin.
It's really light.
Dear Danny.
Oh, it's a gift card to scores.
Look at that.
Is that a condom?
Yes, that's definitely a condom.
Oh, my gosh.
Is that a magnum?
You don't need that one.
It says it's a French tickler.
It says it's a...
What's a note say?
What's a note say?
Please do you know for next year in St. Louis.
Please don't.
It was supposed to be for Freddie.
Put it on your head.
There goes.
That's it.
No, no.
Put it on your head.
Hey, let's...
It's supposed.
Don't not.
Freddy, we blow this up for me.
Oh my God.
Here, you might, this might be a combo.
Yeah, put it on that, actually.
I don't think it's big enough for that.
We'll put it on there.
All right, TJ, you can either steal Brett's condom or take a,
I mean, I'm pretty comfortable.
Oh my God.
Might be too big.
I can see why you have a kid.
Better safe than sorry.
Hey, it's protected.
We're good.
This is, uh,
this is a phoia.
Clearly, I don't know how to put one on.
I wouldn't even know how to open the wrapper.
I mean, I'm just going to take this one.
I pray that it's just.
I don't want to touch it.
God, I'm not.
Nothing more than I want than a used condom.
I'm not used.
It was still in the package.
It broke.
It broke.
Oh, that's,
uh,
I'm really glad it was used on that.
No wonder.
Try better in Darlithin next year with these.
Oh.
Mustaches.
Oh, that's...
That's cool.
That's not nice.
It's very nice.
His was it?
Is it yours?
Yeah, sure.
You want to steal it?
All right, Tyler, you can either pick a new gift or steal the mustaches from T.J.
I was just going to ask him for one.
That means you want to steal them.
Casey, I'll open this for you.
Thank you.
It's a pipe bomb.
Whoa.
I know who that's for.
Who's that for?
You?
What happened?
No, I need, I need this.
That's that cheesy corn, TJ.
I'm telling you.
My stomachs never hurt that bad.
Did I bring stuff?
I can't get this open.
Yeah.
When?
I wrapped it so well.
I don't know that you want to do it that way because it's more durable.
The button's on the top.
I'm just going to say.
What is it tall?
Does it say?
Or next time you take a mid-show break.
Give it to Brett.
That's snowing.
Snow in here.
Brett is it.
Fake snow.
You know what happened, right?
How do you say that?
Magnolia.
We got a condom, we got a mustache, and we got...
Magnolia?
That time you had to stop the show.
We literally stopped the show so you could take a...
We didn't stop the show at all.
Well, we...
No, I actually think I need this.
We eventually had to stop the show because we couldn't breathe.
I think I'm going to need this.
Oh, yeah, you left the door open.
My stomachs tore up.
Well, it doesn't mean the f***ed doors tore up.
I have irritable bowel syndrome.
Amen.
Me too.
It's a serious condition.
This is going to come in handy at the house.
Alexa, what's kicked me out every time I have to use.
Laboratory.
She's called you three times since she's been sick here.
Has she?
Are we going to be in trouble today?
Casey, Freddie, can help you open whatever gift you want.
Do you want the little one or the big one or the big one?
Casey, you prefer a big one or the way?
I thought it was.
I'm a bigger thing, so you can open that one.
You're talking about presents, right?
Yeah.
Oh, boy.
It was a dark outside.
Yeah.
Wow, Freddie.
She said you had a shot.
BBC after hours.
She said, Freddy.
I love your chesticles.
Oh, wait.
No, shit.
Oh, what is it?
What is it for?
No, no, no, no.
The box is fake.
That, that's not real.
It's definitely something like a...
Oh, please be real.
I really, really, really want Nike.
It feels heavy enough to be sneakers.
That box is you.
This is my prisoner hers.
It's Casey's.
I want sneakers.
Do you want me to open it?
It feels heavy enough to be sneakers.
Open it.
Who are you sending that to?
My Twitter.
On Twitter.
What is it?
Oh, my God.
It ain't that.
bad?
Hey, kids.
What if I don't take it?
Just don't.
Tyler, how are you going to get a fire on your day off?
He's just putting a condom on a candy cane.
It's fine.
I haven't eaten the deal yet.
Please don't cuss.
Are you going to show us what the hell?
Jesus.
I'm taking it out.
What's the name of the shot?
This is a kinky pink shot.
Oh, yeah.
There you go, Casey.
Give it to Casey.
It is a, this is a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm, I'm, I'm
reading this verbatim as a matter of fact
this is a naughty fusion
of mango, passion fruit, and
blood orange. Oh yeah.
Kinky pink.
I like that. Casey? DJ, you're way
too into this. Yeah. So Freddie, you can
either steal someone's GIF or open the last one. I'm just
going to have to open the last one because
there really isn't anything we're stealing over here.
Well, we use
Brett's gift. It's gone. I opened one for Casey.
I only got her open something. We've got to use condom.
That's fine. It's broke.
You get all my present.
Well, she wants the kinky pinky.
I know she does.
She wants a big kinky pinkie is what she said.
If you do have some Nikes to give away, though, please, I can sit.
What is it, Casey?
The Christmas party was all my keys.
For your princess fetish.
Whoa.
That's probably mine.
Who the hell is that?
That's me.
Do you dress up?
He's going on a Disney cruise next week.
Yeah, man.
Next weekend.
You shave your face.
Don't go snorkeling.
She might drown your ass.
There's no evidence when that.
happens.
No, should I push me off?
I'm both.
I know.
You better be careful.
Yeah.
Do you have a balcony room?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, you're going off.
I'm not dying in the middle of a damn month.
No, you're going off.
She's pushing off.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, we have dinner plans.
We need to move on.
We could just skip ass TV, see if we want because it's a long.
Yeah.
No.
No, it's fine.
We can't.
Just call them now.
We got time.
Who's the most of the most of the six?
Five-15.
Five-15.
Five-15.
Oh.
All right.
Well, yeah.
we might want to get it.
I'll give them a call.
Call him.
Yeah,
just call.
Call him.
We'll be there in an hour.
Oh,
yeah.
I mean,
it's what?
It's a,
Thursday?
I think we're okay.
Who are the mustache is four?
You?
Me?
No,
it's me for my terrible
Darlington mustache.
Oh,
maybe.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
Do you want the Fribese for next year?
Don't give that to that stinky f***er.
I mean.
It's time for the hashtag.
Past all hashtag,

What cup driver has the most to prove in 2020?
Tyler Reddick.
Yes.
And the mustache does not fit very good.
Oh, this next one is from at Dom Caps 11.
Tyler, are you getting Denny anything for Chris?
This is a good question.
He just opened it.
It's condom.
He gave him my condom.
He got him a quarter panel for his Lamborghini.
Oh, my God.
A quarter panel, a rear bumper.
There's two mustaches left in here.
Well, Casey's going to wear one.
I give him two of these.
What else we have here?
Fireball.
I mean, he doesn't need the frieze.
He does.
He probably does.
Give him the kinky pinky.
Hey, I didn't say it.
You did.
I'm not trying to say anything, but Danny might like the kinky pinky.
Where did it go?
He gets a little.
It's over here.
Freddie drank it.
He gets all the Christmas kiss.
We destroyed this studio for the first time ever.
This is bad.
We legitimately.
Oh,
that's not good.
We legitimately destroyed this table.
We might end up at Big Al's after all.
All right.
That's where my truck's at.
That's where Freddie picked me up.
Cut that out.
I did not pick him up.
Congrats to you.
T.
Right.
24 for your question.
Are we skipping one idiot?
Who the hell has an idiot right now?
I got one.
I don't know.
I can't even look at you with that mustache.
Whoever it was.
He's got to wear it during dinner.
It's going to fall off by the time I leave here.
Whoever it was at the NASCAR Awards,
ceremony, banquet, whatever.
They had one?
There was a bar walking into the awards.
It closed after about five minutes
after they asked us to go into the hall.
They closed the bar.
How does that happen?
And then they didn't have another bar open
until an hour and a half later.
So everyone shows up.
They're in line for the bar.
There's one bar.
And then they close the bar.
Then there's no bar for like an hour and a half.
Everybody's there.
They're like, you know, dressed up, all fancy and stuff.
They want to just have a drink, whatever.
That's why you brought that candy cane.
Yeah.
You've been trying to drink ever since Nashville.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Understandable.
I mean, it's pretty, it's a pretty laid back one.
But I was, I was a bit upset by that.
Because Alex never got a drink.
I never got a drink.
I had Alexa drank a lot of wine, but I mean, she was right.
I think we, I think it's safe to say we made up for it after.
Well, that was Wednesday night.
I heard the.
No, Thursday night.
Why is Jason leaving?
Oh, he's calling.
Oh, we did Thursday night too.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that's right.
All right.
Well, any other idiots?
Myself.
For what?
Fair.
Are you kidding me?
Look at them.
BBC pick.
I was going to go.
Go ahead.
I mean, there might have been a tweet that can be considered idiotic to that came out today.
We don't.
We don't.
We don't.
out today.
Was it mine?
No, it wasn't yours.
What happened?
I'm not going to talk about it.
Well, you just did.
No, I'm sure.
If anybody's following closely enough,
they know what I'm talking about.
Who's the account of my looking at?
A tweet I sang you this morning.
Oh, gosh.
This first letter C?
No.
You know how many tweet we've sent today?
Oh, man.
I have a one idiot.
Clint Boyer.
Uh-oh.
Oh, God.
I am in Nashville,
going to a meeting.
in the morning, I walk into this place.
Clint is drunk out of his mind in Camo gear.
So you didn't see him.
Could not see Clint.
In Nashville.
Nobody knew he was in Nashville.
I had no way.
Did you know he was in Nashville?
No, I did.
No.
Walk into a meeting at a Mexican restaurant.
We're in this meeting and all of a sudden shots come to the table.
the meeting ended right there
because we could not proceed.
So, Clint,
I really hope you realize
that you might have killed our meeting.
What is that?
I don't really call that an idiot.
Should I call that.
Yeah, not all heroes.
We're keeps.
I'm not. Clint's stories never end.
Clint's story's always in the same, Casey.
So that's actually not what an idiot.
That's what a Clint.
He's a golden child.
That was a brother.
He probably doesn't remember either.
He remembers.
Wait, what is that?
Let me see.
He remembers.
I don't have a one-a-a-a-a-a-a-old.
I don't have a what-an-hitty, but I'm going to give some hearing shout-outs real quick.
Safety crews, NASCAR officials, every race track in America, NASCAR truck drivers, you guys are the boots on the ground.
Couch Racers, Dirty Mo Media staff includes Jason Schultz, who just told us he's quitting.
Collegraising, appreciate the year.
Appreciate the last few years.
My family for putting up how much with me I was going this year.

which give you guys the fans an opportunity to listen to us all.
act like a bunch of idiots,
which is what we've done for the last two hours.
Yeah,
and on top of that,
obviously,
thank you to all of you fans.
And we look forward to seeing you at the race track.
Say hi at the racetrack.
I'm sure I ran into a bunch down at the snowball.
The response this year overall.
Chill and come say hi.
The response this year has been overwhelming.
Who's the,
who's the pick to pay for dinner tonight?
DBC pick.
Whoever is getting the drunkest at this point.
No.
I think it's Casey.
It's Casey and Jason.
because Jason quit and Casey's got the most money.
I have the most money.
Did Jason ever pay you back for?
Yeah, I've given money.
Yeah.
Okay, good.
Yeah.
I tip Jason a lot this year.
How much you guys tip him?
I tip in her shit.
He's quitting.
I think you tipped him one time.
I'll tip him three times.
Casey, you're something you're going to tell us.
Yeah, we're not leaving.
Yeah.
Is somebody you want to tell us?
This is a long goodbye.
This is one of those.
Merry Christmas and a happy off season.
Are you?
This is a long goodbye.
I'm going to tell us?
What?
I don't know.
I'm asking.
I hope not.
She's been drinking the whole show.
I've been drinking the whole show.
Hey, you shouldn't be drinking that beer.
Not pregnant.
Jason is the youngest person that's broke that I know that drinks red wine.
So this dinner should go great.
No, no.
Muscatto, that's the only wine I like.
Ooh.
Oh, it was pretty solid.
Dude, I had some great red wine the other night just so you know.
Did we have any luck on?
No, it was just a freaking.
Yeah, 545.
Oh, sweet.
I was like, we're in a lot of traffic.
I'm out of Charlotte.
I'm sorry.
Good job, Jason.
You lied.
Now they know,
because everybody listens to the show.
They're listening.
No, I said,
Tyler's bringing Michael,
so we need a private room now.
Honestly, I think Denny should be paying
for this dinner because he's the reason
why we've really lost.
So.
All right.
Well, honestly,
Jason, you got any parting words as a quitter?
As a quitter, I'll still be here.
I'll be around,
but it's been a fun five years doing this with y'all.
And I appreciate all the help and growth
along the way.
why are you quitting?
We're doing some more social media stuff next year.
That sounds like a...
I'm going to tell you this.
Jason, and I know I brag on him all the time,
but like he's going to be amazing at social media.
His personal accounts are better than a lot of other accounts that I follow
that actually people get paid to do it.
Well, you don't block.
That's why.
No, no, I'm telling you that Jason's going to do a phenomenal job
of social media for dirty-mo media.
He's going to kill it.
I'm excited for him.
I'm still not accepting the fact that he's not going to be sitting over there.
Are you going to be sitting there?
we never know we got a lot of things coming down the pipeline that might need to help on a little bit more
but we'll see do you guys want me to sit over there yeah yeah I mean really wouldn't make any
difference it'll make them feel better what's the difference what's the difference I got to buy into
sitting here yeah all you got to do is push a button every time Brett says that's a lot of button
pushing I don't know if I keep up with that casey you got any parting words
Merry Christmas happy holidays and a happy offseason
what did uh
i'm just going to shut it there no go ahead
go ahead and continue
mary chrysler take this back
mary chrysler actually can you hold it up
what nothing
tj
i mean well you kind of
f*** us all on this i just gave shoutouts
i know but seriously i want to give a shout out
i want to give a shout out to all of our sponsors
and NASCAR who
we did jay uh brett handled all that
yeah i did not offer
Bow Jangles, Dale and Mike, thanks for putting up with us.
Brett, for all the times you've had to call and apologize after a show.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
So I will say this.
I've done a couple races that aren't, you know, local races.
And it was kind of a cluster a little bit at times.
And to go from Saturdays and Sundays to that, it's a pretty big difference.
Makes you appreciate it.
Yes, 100%.
So all the people.
you know all our race directors and stuff that put the time in to do the work um it flows pretty
smoothly compared to some other things nobody's perfect Tyler anything else you want to say
any parting words Denny's great oh my gosh seriously I couldn't agree more dear Danny remember this is an
unbiased podcast that's right yeah we're just I will give Danny credit for coming on here and he yeah
other than his car getting destroyed in the parking lot I mean it was a pretty good show literally T.J.
favorite thing about every guest that's come on here this year is they text me or call me after the fact,
including Dell Jr. and said, that was fun. I want to do it again. And it's because we come in here,
we talk racing, we have a good time. We let it hang out. We ask some fun questions, hard questions,
all the good things. But at the end of the day without listeners, we don't have a podcast.
So it comes down to you hundreds of thousands of listeners. And how many millions of downloads you think this year, Jason?
More than ever. Like hundreds of percent's up over last year. I know the number. And I'm not allowed
to say, but it's, it is amazing.
So thank you guys.
We're talking millions and millions of video downloads.
The racetrack presence this year, people with the track coming up to us and saying,
love the show.
It's a,
media shirts.
I mean, everywhere.
Yeah.
Yeah.
We've been very fortunate to have you guys in a seven-year ride.
I'll be honest with you.
When Mike and I got to light year three, I thought we would see this thing flattened out.
And we were still at a great number to keep doing it.
And it's freaking going nuts every single year.
And it's because of people like Tyler Reddick for donating your time.
No, literally, thank you, because you don't have to come on here and do this.
I love doing this.
But you're open, you're honest, Denny was, Dale Jr. was.
Like you give Jamie was.
You know, you guys give us perspective that you're not going to get when you have a 30-second answer on TV.
And yes, we're unfiltered.
Yes, we hurt people's feelings.
Yes, we want to have fun.
Yes, we want to make you laugh.
Yes, we want to educate you.
But if you guys don't listen, we can't do any of that.
So thank you guys.
We love you.
I mean, go right.
Yeah.
I already said it earlier, but I'll echo it again.
Just like Tyler said, thank you to us for all the hard work we do.
not you, Tyler, the rapper Tyler again.
Tyler, thank you.
Like, he did thank Tyler.
And it's like, the reason why we put the work in is for you people.
Like, and I say it work like it's staying up a couple hours late on Sunday night.
And where a big Al's putting, you know, notes together and stuff.
And but other than that.
Or lack of notes that you can't read.
Yeah, well, we still tried.
That's happened.
I mean, we couldn't read him, but we still typed them out, you know.
A for effort.
But, you know, we do it for you guys and it's fun.
And we're going to continue doing it as long as it's fun.
and like we say on here all the time,
it's fun to have fun.
So thank you guys for listening and supporting us,
and we're going to keep doing crazy, stupid shit
as much as you let us.
So I appreciate everybody.
I think, you know, without NASCAR,
me and Brett, what are you going on?
I mean, if you were full-time.
I started in 99, so I don't know.
You're about four years, five years after me,
but I'm going on 19 or 20.
And, you know, without this sport that we've all grown to love
and the race fans coming and putting us all together,
the drivers, everybody, even all the crew guys, man, all the crew guys that work all them hours
are in the week and put that time in. You know, it's a big family when we go on the road and
you know that is more as much as anybody and so do you. So Freddie knows it. And, but, you know,
this whole group is a whole. I did forget one thing, Spotter podcast. Tyler, who'd you
hire for a Spotter? Oh, yeah. I heard Nick Payne. I told you not to hire that guy. Oh, shut
Shut up.
No, he's, you know, obviously I was really hopeful that I was going to be able to bring Derek over to 2311, but it didn't work out.
But, you know, the time I got spent with Nick, it was a very, a very eye-opening experience.
He's very hungry in a weird way.
I'm a driver, but he's a spotter.
But a lot of the things that he looks toward.
No, no.
Shut up.
Shut up.
Do your deal.
This is what you had asked for.
Don't talk.
Don't talk.
That's your deal. You don't talk.
Hey, just wait.
But just how he looks at approaching the sport and how he wants to learn, all those things.
It checked all the boxes for me.
So obviously he doesn't have all the experience in the world of some of the other spotters
in the sport, but his drive to learn.
But the time in to get better and understand the driver and just the chemistry between myself,
Billy Scott.
I was really, really excited and really had a good time talking.
to him getting know him. So I'm excited to have him work with me next year. And we're going to
continue to learn a lot about each other. I know. If he sucks, I'll be bored by May.
You're going to be bored by March. You're going to be bored by baseball season.
I'm kidding. I was a new spotter back at 23 years old and got a break and had a guy who mentored
me and helped me be a better spotter because it's not just about him being a good spotter. It's
about you guys after practice and qualifying and races, spending time together and helping each other get
better. And at the end of the day, man, I've always said, if I tell you something you already know,
I'm no good to you. It's what can I tell you to help you? And with the tools that you guys
have now as potters that we've never had. I'm a spotter now? No, I'm looking at T.J.
Who are looking at me? I mean, I do have a career in spotting. I didn't win any races,
but I was with Justin Mark's few times. I didn't win any either. It's fine.
You can always come to it. But no, man, without you fans, this wouldn't be here. So
Merry Christmas. Love you all. Happy New Year.
Jason, even though you're quitting, I'm assuming we do a show before Daytona, maybe?
After the clash will be the first one.
After the clash.
Awesome.
So before the Daytona 500, we'll have about a 10-day advance show.
So we'll talk to you in about a month.
Yeah.
That's what it feels like.
Maybe there will be some dreamo lives.
Won't be long.
The bills will have lost the playoffs by then.
Yeah, how'd that last week's game go, Jason?
Not that we're talking about.
Did you see Tom Brady with the second grade's comeback of his career?
Let's go, James.
All right.
Who didn't cover.
Have a great week.
Word.
We out.
Tom Brady sucks.
Denny's great.
On YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Dirty Mo.
