Door Bumper Clear - An Unhinged Episode With Noah Gragson & Chase Briscoe

Episode Date: April 27, 2026

Attention Door Bumper Clear listeners, please buckle up for the ride you are about to experience -- Noah Gragson & Chase Briscoe have entered the studio, and the episode you are about to enjoy has cle...ar chaos warnings directly ahead! In all seriousness, although this episode starts off the rails and never comes back, the Door Bumper Clear crew opens up the show and discusses everything from the ups and downs of the race weekend at Talladega to The Big One that took out Bubba Wallace. The topics we cover in Spot On, Spot Off are: - Carson Hocevar's all-time celebration - Did the stage changes provide the Superspeedway racing we want? - A pair of JR Motorsports cars get impeding penalties - Where Cleetus went wrong (and right!) In Reaction Theatre, a fan loses his train of thought, and Hocevar fans have a new catchphrase for their love life. A familiar face shows up in the S*** Show Hall of Fame nominees list, and Ask DBC takes us inside the rivalry between Noah and Chase's son, Brooks. Then things start to pick up around DBC picks, where Noah and Chase quiz Freddie on his knowledge of the moon's effects on grip. This leads to Noah Grason calling Riley Herbst, Josh Berry, and Austin Dillon to prove his point about the waxing crescent moon. All we know is, we'll be keeping a much closer eye on qualifying this weekend for the No. 4 and No. 19 than we originally would have otherwise. This is one of Door Bumper Clear's most hilarious shows to date, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Don't forget to get your merch at shop.dirtymomedia.com AND come see us at Fan Day on May 21st at JR Motorsports for a live show that day. Want more DBC? Starting point is 00:00:00 Just make sure you're on the mics because if not, you can't hear you. Check, check. I should not have told you. I should have not told you. Attention Walmart shoppers. The following is a production of Dirty Moe Media. What if we left all the spotters out of everything? That's a terrible idea.
Starting point is 00:00:19 What page are we on? Why you curse that? This is why I'm just you cursing to me. I think he's a whiny. That's what I think. Next thing you know, I got no fire suit on. Audi Nation fans are getting lucky tonight. All right, good morning, guys.
Starting point is 00:00:38 It's Monday morning here for episode 407. We got Chase Briscoe and Noah Gregson in, and we just got done with Degas. So April 27th, I love it. Keep going. It's nice and sunny. A brisk, 55 degrees, but it's going to warm up.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I'm liking the cool weather. Are you guys? It's a beautiful morning. Golf and weather. It's a beautiful one. Did you bring your golf clubs up here? No, I did not. I have to work today.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Well, see, That's the thing is Chase lives down in Georgia. So, like South Georgia. So it took him about seven hours to get here. He actually lives 30 minutes from Talladega. It's just a short drive over. It's cheaper there. He got a nice pad down there.
Starting point is 00:01:21 It's cheaper. To me, it's a little bit longer, but to work. Oh, my God. Well, good morning. Yeah, if you haven't been able to sell already, Noah Gregson is in the house. We also have Chase Briscoe. Carson, how was your weekend?
Starting point is 00:01:33 It was good. It rained on us at Carraway, but we got a Sunday race in, and it's over with. So that's a plus. I didn't get to watch any of it, obviously, you know, Sunday. It was good. We had two good races. Poor Jack. He got hooked and sent into the fence in the pro race.
Starting point is 00:01:51 What do we got to do to get a car to race at Greenville Pickle? Oh, shut up. What about a cup race? Chase Briscoe now, a big advocate for Greenville Picker. I need it to not shut down. That's what we need. Need it to not shut down. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:02:07 I guess, no, we'll start with you. You had the best finish of the day. Top 10, I think you ended up, right? Where did you end up? Yeah, 9th, 9th. So, I don't know. I'm, are we a fan of the, I know I'm not too much of a fan. We're going to dive into a little bit deeper later.
Starting point is 00:02:20 That racing. Your particular race had it to go. I mean, did you get damage? I know you, there's one point. No, no, I stayed out all the trouble. Just kind of safe fuel, lost the draft after the first. So we did a one stop on the first stage and lost the draft and teamed up with Michael Montal and the 66
Starting point is 00:02:39 and got back up there and somehow saved more fuel than my teammates. And I was wide open for 25 laps. So that was, I don't know how I'd do that. But I ended up saving a lot of fuel. But interesting, interesting racing towards it. I mean, you just can't go anywhere. Yeah. Chase, I know you ended up, I'm sure we wrecked you probably or something.
Starting point is 00:02:59 I was in your wrecked. You were in my room. I was a lap down. know so um yeah i mean uh what was your penalty i know it was a i didn't see exactly safety yeah i put cj our front carrier on the hood and then uh backed over the air hose and yeah it's pretty good stop i think we had a loose wheel or not a loose wheel but a tire violation yeah it was just a bad deal just not an ideal there's a lot of penalties all at once i looked at it was weird because i looked up and i heard danny got a speeding penalty right at the same time
Starting point is 00:03:28 and then you got a penalty announce them back to back and i'm like where the hell is chase like he's not in that group of toyotas that left pit road and then as i said as they read the penalty off i see you leaving pit road i was like oh this is going to be even worse yeah it was it was not ideal it was like a 20 second pit stop because i had to back up i i hit both tires out of his hands yeah it was uh it was not good way to go um the rest of your race just kind of riding around yeah it was you know the star stage two we were running four wide or whatever and trying to i think i was racing the two car and the 11 for the lucky dog so we were all back there trying to kind of pushed to be the first car and then you went and wrecked the field and I was in that.
Starting point is 00:04:08 It seemed like, I mean, it was crazy because I don't know if just the way the stages played out, but like Danny got that speeding penalty at lap 44 ended up losing a lap and just never got it back. You got it back on the green white checker. Yeah, it was just the way, you know, and that was partially no his fault for staying out and blocking those guys a lap down. And guess what? I'd do it again. I'd do it again.
Starting point is 00:04:28 We talked about that for a second because my team didn't. know the rule and I'm like yeah if we stay if we pit then we can trap those guys a lot down still and then it gives us a one lap buffer if we wreck at the end of the race there might be guys lap down and we might get a little bit better of a finish I didn't know that was how the rule worked either so if that's the case that during a green flag cycle somewhere if you have like the whole field trapped why would you just not stay out until one to go yeah and then pit yeah you're absolutely right or even like you could exploit it at places like talladeg and daytona where you know, you can just, if you're the last car, like if we got teammates, you know, and your three teammates are all on the lead lap and there you've got a bunch of guys a lap down, just make whoever the last one is or he's got the last guy to leave out, stay out. Stay out. Stay out. Stay out. Stay out. Stay out. Stay out. Stayed out. And he's trapped out. I'm sorry. I think it was Ricky stayed out early. Trapped everybody. But the 38 was behind him. And they pulled down pit road and they just waived the 38 on by. And he ended up in the top five, I think. And then the next guys that tried it, they said, no, no, no, no, no, you can't do that. The pit road.
Starting point is 00:05:30 closed you can't get the wave around. So I don't know what's right or wrong. They admitted on the radio that they screwed up earlier with the 38 and they shouldn't have done it. So I guess you got to officiate it the way the rulebook says. I don't think you can't take away a lot from the 38 at that point. But they didn't, the booth did not have a great day yesterday. The tower, I should say, there was one point we chose.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I was out of the race. Yeah, what was that? We chose. The caution light stayed on and we chose again. I think what happens is, you know, you get in such a cadence. you know, I think you guys probably realize this with your spotters. We realize it with race control because we're talking to them every and every restart. It's the same thing.
Starting point is 00:06:07 All right. Pit Road is closed this time. You know, these are the penalty cars. These are the wave around cars. One to go at the line, you know, we're choosing this time. Well, I think what happens is. Was that the one they messed up with a 38 or no? No, I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:06:20 But then this, I guess I wasn't on the radio because we were out of the race by then, but they said the same thing. You know, pit roads closed this time. Here are the penalty cars. Here are the wave rounds. You know, this is where the lucky dog lines up. They have a cadence. They go through all this.
Starting point is 00:06:30 and then the last thing they say is one to go with the line. Well, they went through all of that, but never said one to go with the line. Radio's haven't been great this year, so I think a lot of people just assumed, oh, we just didn't hear it. Here we go. I look, everybody's choosing, choosing, choosing. Well, the lights went out. Lights went out, pace car went out. The flagman never rolled the one yellow up.
Starting point is 00:06:48 So as he got through the line, everybody's like, why is the yellow still out? You know, you guys are all two by two rowing one and two. And you're like, why is he still waving the yellow flag? We're on the one to go, right? And then I guess down the back, Tim must have said, all right, one to go out the line and they're like every the roof blew up the roof's like what the fuck you're talking about we already chose like we're like choose this time he's like we're two by two down the back stretch what do you mean just everything about it was
Starting point is 00:07:12 what do we think about qualifying disqualifying is qualifying even matter when we go there like why not if we're going to have those stage lengths like pittstall selection yeah pit stall selection was the only thing that really mattered um but yeah i mean yesterday we soon as they went green, we went straight to the, like, we never went. Yeah. We just ran for whatever, 40, 50% throttle till the end of the pit cycle. So I don't, you know, I don't know. But yeah, the beginning of that race, I mean, how hard is that for you guys?
Starting point is 00:07:43 When you did a little bit different, you guys tried to take off a little bit, but like, how hard is that to manage in the car when, you know, I'm, I feel like sometimes I'm flying blind. I don't know what the hell we're trying to do or like, are we trying to run 30%? Are we trying to run 80%? What are we trying to do? How hard is it for you guys, Chase, like, in that moment? You guys were the ones that kind of took off and tried to,
Starting point is 00:08:00 set of pace. It was hard just because you don't know what the plan is, right? And it's always changing literally lap by lap. But yeah, for us, we were riding around there. And I was leading actually. I mean, I was running 30 or 40 percent. Chad Fincham came by me. I watched you, you raced your ass off with Chad Finchum. Yeah, literally 30 percent throttle. So he was leading? Yeah, lead race. Yeah. I didn't know that. Well, you guys, you and Josh were talking about it last night in the group chat, but I don't know what you guys are talking about. Yeah. So Finchum came up and he was leading and Denny was kind of pushing him and then I was just kind of like I was working the lane just in the sense of working the lanes and like trying to make it look cool because we were running literally
Starting point is 00:08:37 five seconds off the pace so I was blocking Cody Ware at side draft Finch him and like we were just up there I'm like oh this I'm just practicing it's a dangerous game to play yeah and so we were doing that and then I remember before the race they told me hey look like if we saved too much you know where we start we won't be able to one stop probably regardless but the guys in the back would So we were going so slow, they finally just came over the radio and they were like, hey, like, we need to get going. So then Denny starts pushing Finchum. Like, we're running wide open. And Finchum bails just because, like, we, I mean, we were trying to go, right? And so anyways, we were running and I knew within four or five laps that we were screwed because we were running wide open and the pack was still 10 carlinks behind us. And so we were just burning fuel and everybody else was saving. And then when we finally pitted, the Ford's were literally,
Starting point is 00:09:28 side by side with us at the front of the field. And we'd ran 100% the whole time, and they had been running 40 or 50%. So, yeah, we did not do a very good job. But it's hard whenever you're in there and you don't know what the plan is. Yeah, I mean, you're the probably exact opposite. You're probably saving Max saved the whole time.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I mean, that was, I had a plan, I guess, the whole time. So I felt fine with it. And we're in the back. So, I mean, every super speedway, it's save as much as you can so you can spend less time on pit road, right, so taking fuel.
Starting point is 00:10:00 So that's what we did. And like he said, we were up there when we all pitted. I had a bad pit stop. The two missed his pit stall. And I think we were side by side with you guys coming up the road. Yeah, you almost fucking waylaid the two because you were like next to us. And the two just stopped in the middle of the track. He checked and then kept going and then checked again.
Starting point is 00:10:18 I'm like, what the fuck are you doing, Austin? And so he missed his pit stall. Then I got left on pit road because we had a bad pit stop from that. And then luckily, I caught. the 66 and the 71 and we were able to draft back up there and yeah finish out the stage I think we got stage points that stage if you said if you stayed out you did because the second group the first guy in the second group that pitted was the first one to get the last one to get points yeah yeah we are I mean we kind of had the same strategy drop back save fuel when you guys started
Starting point is 00:10:47 pushing I mean we were down to like 54 second lap times it was so slow my lap times weren't working on my dash I saw a lot people say like we used that as a tool the lap times on the dash as a to know what the pace is. You know, at the end, when you're running, what, 48, 49 second laps around there, you're not going to be able to pull out of line and make the top lane work. But when you are going that slow, we use that as a tool to see, hey, we can kind of go wherever we want to go right now. And there's options to move around and make passes.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah, we were the same way. We would have a, before this packet, you know, the last couple plate races, we would have a number. Like, when you get to this number, the top lane is a viable option, you know. But yeah, I saw a lot of guys say that about the... What number is that for the Ford guys? Just, I don't know. It's a 4630, I think. But yeah, we just rode around and kind of cycle through.
Starting point is 00:11:38 We got trapped at the, we made it back up there. We were kind of in good position. And then we were pushing, tried to get to lead to you guys again, or at least a Denny pack. I don't know if you were in or not. And then we got trapped behind Priests. And it was just us and Priests. And priests just dragged so hard.
Starting point is 00:11:54 They're like, it's just us and priests. And he's dragging us off the main pack. and they're like, you got to pass a 60. And I'm like, all right, Bubba, we got to pass a 60. There's just the two of us. There's nobody. And they're like, we really got to pass him. I'm like, I'm sure he's probably trying.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Like, there's nothing you can do. And they're like, we urgently have to pass a 60. So finally, I'm like, hey, Bubba, we urgently have to pass a 60. And that's what he's like, fuck off. He's like, I want to see you guys get in here and do it. I was like, I say, Charles, we can't pass him. I don't know. So then we had to alter our strategy, which we flipped the stage and that worked out pretty good.
Starting point is 00:12:23 We came out with the lead in position. and then I don't know. What did you guys think? What did you guys think of the wreck? I was in the back. I was trying to get a big lap. So I was hanging way back and I'd get big runs. Dude, I ran around the whole track like basically on the,
Starting point is 00:12:37 I hit the chip a couple times. But my whole dash was lit up. I was running 9,000 RPM around there for a couple laps trying to get a fast lap. Zane ended up getting a fast lap. I was only, you know, half-tenth off him. But, yeah, you're just waiting. So if you're not, in my opinion the problem with those that deal is the pace is so fast those last two stages right and everybody's two by two you're not going to make a third lane work and i just don't think you can get your back bumper beat off for 90 laps in my opinion like somebody's going to wreck at some point and we saw that in the second stage so if you're not leading or in the second row you might as well just be in the very back and just wait for them to wreck and that's that's kind of the position i was in
Starting point is 00:13:23 Yeah, so we went green there. We were leading, and we had the Penske cars behind us. Somebody else was up there. Ross was up there for sure. And we just, like I felt like once we started jockey with each other, like the top, the bottom two lanes and it let a third lane get formed. Wasn't a problem. We got clear to the lead. We actually used the third lane to get back to the lead.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And then we came off a two. We got out a little far, not too bad. I mean, we were cleared by like two on Ross. And then Ross was clear by two on the pack. So I just told Bubba, I said the one's going to move up with the pack. You just move up with him. So Ross moved up. Bubba moved up. We were still clear by, I don't know, two car legs probably. And here's you come and just, I don't know, like, that's, you're just, I mean, it wasn't a block. We weren't trying to block and we were just covering the middle lane because that's like kind of where we wanted to be. And you just, you put yourself at the mercy of all the guys behind you, essentially. And how hard is it for you guys for you guys in line? I know, I know your spotters are doing a good job of telling you like, are you counting down. Like, you're clear by one out of the front. The guy in front of the guy who's clear by one out the front half, whatever tight. But I mean, you're really just at the mercy of the guys behind you at that point, though. Yeah, you can't see. And especially when.
Starting point is 00:14:22 you're the leader like sometimes the you know the lane kind of surges all at once too and that's kind of what it looked like kind of happened a little bit where like the third fourth second guys all kind of surged all at once and like there's just so much momentum and then they start like tagging each other back and forth that's normally when the wreck happens I was surprised when I went back and watched it I thought the wreck was more from when we were all four wide and it wasn't that at all like I thought that for two or three laps I was like oh we're we're about to wreck yeah because there's just no room. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:52 I think it was just really bad time. I feel like it was not one of those wrecks where, like, they got on the, the 12 got on the one and the, just drove the one through us. It was more like the 12 got to the one, right? As the one got to us. It was just that little bit of accordion. I don't think it was Ross's fault. I don't think it was Bubba's fault.
Starting point is 00:15:07 I don't think it was just. Was it on the patch too? It was probably really close to the patch. It was probably getting almost to it. It's really rough. You know. Through there. I mean, you got turned there last year.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Go and wreck the fuck out of me last year. But, you know, so. So I definitely didn't think it was Bubba's fault. I didn't think it was Ross's fault. I didn't think he was anybody's fault. Really, I thought it was just a racing deal. Obviously, Bubba's going to take a little bit of heat because he's Bubba. But, and then he made a wise-ass comment.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Like, I just leaned to learn how to get pushed better, I guess, or something. And everybody's like, oh, see, it was his fault. I'm like, Jesus, I wish he didn't say that. But, yeah, I don't know. It was just shitty end to a day that we put ourselves in position. And like you guys said, it's hard to pass once we get going there. So if you're leading at the end of those stages, like, you think you're in a pretty good spot to capitalize.
Starting point is 00:15:52 But yeah, I don't know. What else happened this weekend, Carson? I enjoyed watching the Arker race. Oh, by the way, Carson, host of R. One. Little Earnhardt. Little Earnhardt won.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Little Earnhardt. Little Earnhardt. I mean, I'll give Carson credit. He did a good job. He did a good job at the end, especially. And I'll give him credit
Starting point is 00:16:10 because I was obviously standing up there just watching the middle part of that race where nobody could really move the second stage after the wreck. You know, he was the only one that was trying shit. Like he would kind of force his way to the bottom.
Starting point is 00:16:21 and get guys off the bottom. He was trying to make a third lane work. It wasn't working. But like one thing I'll say about Carson and you guys know this racing with him, you can't take a second off if he's behind you because he's going to, he's going to jump on any opportunity he gets, whether it's a short track, mile and a half, speedway, whatever it is. You can't take a second off because the instant you do, he's going to jump on whatever
Starting point is 00:16:41 hole you leave him. Now for sure. And it's like unconventional sometimes. Like stuff you wouldn't think would work. Like, and it does kind of catch you off guard at times because it's so unconventional. push you and the, like he'll squeeze, there'll be three quarters of a car with and he'll just like kind of
Starting point is 00:16:55 weasel his way down the back straight away in between you and you're like, all, dude, we can all do this bullshit. I don't know, just nobody really does. Yeah, because we're trying to be, I mean, it works for him until, until it doesn't, yeah. Like, I guess we're just all a bunch of bitches because we don't ever do anything back there.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Yesterday, we were all, it was when we were four wide, it was like four laps, four we all crashed. And I'm like, literally the dead last call. on the top lane. So we were three wide, I guess. And he was like, dead last, right?
Starting point is 00:17:25 Yeah, there's a clip on online. And he comes ripping by like all the slow guys that are single file. And then he just goes right between me. They're like, look,
Starting point is 00:17:33 you can run me. You can pass. Yeah. Yeah. It was cool. It scared the crap out of me, though. It was scary to watch.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Drew didn't say anything because it happened so fast. And all of a sudden, I just feel this huge gust of like wind in my car. And he just comes ripping by me. It was cool.
Starting point is 00:17:52 I'm not going to lie. He was, he was, the movie I liked a lot that he was using was like, you know how the yellow line kind of, I feel like it kind of shifts through the tribal down. And he was just,
Starting point is 00:18:01 he would just fill it. Like as soon as he was on the bottom and he would just move down and follow the yellow line and everybody would just follow the car in front of him and he would just be inside of you. And he did it like two or three times and I think AJ finally had enough of them
Starting point is 00:18:11 and just kind of turned down on him. But it was, it was funny. And I was pretty impressed with it because, you know, try to make something happen because as you guys said, especially after the wreck, there was nothing happening.
Starting point is 00:18:20 in that race. All right, quick question. How many drill bits have you guys snapped just by trying to finish one job? Yeah, same for me. Nothing kills you momentum faster. That's why I like hand-cut drill bits. They're American-made, family-owned,
Starting point is 00:18:36 and pros have trusted them for many years. And right now, you can get 25% off with code 30-mo. I have used these drill bits time and time again. Normally, one or two times I got to throw drill bits away, not these. Still, acting like they're brinked. brand new. That's the difference. These things are built the last. High-speed steel all the way through,
Starting point is 00:18:55 so you're not burning through bits every job. And 135-degree split point means no pilot holes. Just pull the trigger and go. Bottom line, you save time, you save money, and you get the job done right the first time. Check out cancut.com. Use code dirty mo for 25% off. Don't mess around, guys. Use what the pros use. What else happened this weekend, Carson? That's what I I was... Andy Jay. Yeah. Andy Jay.
Starting point is 00:19:27 I met him at the concert. Yeah. He's... He didn't ever been before? No, I never met. He's cool dude. I've known Andy for a long time. He's modified that.
Starting point is 00:19:33 He was sick. He won the race. Wait, yeah, you burned down the boulevard this weekend, didn't you? Did you, uh... I don't know where you got? I don't know. I thought I saw somebody in a Walmart.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Yeah. I thought I saw somebody in a Walmart vest or something. How was your go car ride? There's a boulevard there? What was that being? How was your go car ride? That was fine. That was fine.
Starting point is 00:19:54 I was with Marchand and Cletus doing the go-karts leading the big one on the boulevard. It's where all the drivers get on these floats and they, you know, throw up beads and beers and whatever. Down the boulevard, and then we get to the end where there's a stage and we played some games for the fans and whatnot. And I'm driving down with the go-karts and we get to this one area that had these big, tall metal poles in a stage. Weird. Yeah. They're like flag poles or something. Yeah, and Marshawn said he stops, he goes,
Starting point is 00:20:29 little bro, little bro, you better take me back here, bro. You better take me back here. I'm like, I got you, bro. I got you. And they weren't flagpoles. They weren't flagpoles. They weren't flagpoles. The best thing I saw was, I think it was before the Xfinity race on Saturday,
Starting point is 00:20:47 interviewed him on the big screen, Marshawn. And they're like, you know, we saw you on the boulevard, we said, no, last night, how was it? like, man, it was awesome. I was out there, saw some tinnies. I'm like, oh, no, on the big screen. I'm like, yeah. NASCAR doesn't really like you cussing up there.
Starting point is 00:21:04 So he gets up on the stage for the big one on the boulevard, and there's thousands of people. And they're like, we got Marshawn Lynch here. Marshawn, what do you think, brother? And he's like, we about to turn this motherfucker up. Taladega, are you ready to get this motherfucker going? And I'm like, oh my gosh, like just screaming. Everybody just starts looking around.
Starting point is 00:21:30 It looks like fun. It looks like fun. He was such a cool guy. I actually spent a lot of time with him on Saturday night. And after the concert, we smoked cigars and Butterbean and I were at the concert and they're like, hey, let's go on the track. So we all took golf cards. There's a bunch of us. We took golf carts out there and climbed up the banking.
Starting point is 00:21:48 I've never been up the banking. Like, I've never, have you walked up it? No. Dude, it is so fucking stuff. It's crazy. It's actually so steep. Like, we were all out there. And having fun.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Then we smoke cigars. Had some fun. Jason Kelsey was out there. A bunch of people were out there. Steve O'Donnell. It was a cool group. Shout out, Steve O'Donnell. Big promotion this week.
Starting point is 00:22:12 You did get a promotion. Comes on DBC. It gets a big promotion. And they saw how good to get in ours. Yeah, you guys are going to get promoted. I don't know where. I don't know what. You'll go from the general manager.
Starting point is 00:22:22 From the greeter to the assistant. He'll go from greeter to GM Okay, so they gave me, I went to Walmart for, the reason why I have this, I went to Walmart for Grillos, pickles, Pabs Blue Ribbon.
Starting point is 00:22:34 They were, I had a meet and greet there and signing autographs and I'm like, I want a one of the, I want a game used jersey, you know, so they hooked me up with the jersey
Starting point is 00:22:44 and then on the back of the name tag, it has the emergency codes. So we've known. If you want to, if you want to quiz me on the codes, People come up to me and they're like, hey, I'm like, I'm a manager at Walmart, like regional manager. I'm like, really?
Starting point is 00:22:58 What's code blue? What's code white? No idea. That's an accident. Yep. What's code orange? A chemical spill. Green?
Starting point is 00:23:10 Green is a robbery? Yep. Adam. Oh, that's a missing child. TD really does it on the body. And then there's blue. Yeah, it's bomb threat. Tornado's black.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Fire's red. Fire spread. Yeah, he really does know the emergency coats. That's impressive. You had some time on your hands this week. And so I'd be quizzing these guys and they didn't know. I'm like, you guys are so full of shit. But like people would come up to me.
Starting point is 00:23:33 He's like boots on the ground. Hey, my aunt works at Walmart and she would love like a picture. Like that is so awesome. You have one of those. Like, can I take a picture with you? Just because I didn't know who I was. Just because you had the Walmart. Hell yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:48 So it might be my new identity. Or backup plan. Anyway, Andy Jay. Congrats to Andy. There was another guy in that race that almost won. It was pretty famous. Dude, could you imagine what that place would have done if... I know the O'Reilly race would have got started a little later.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Like next week. They would have burned the grandstands. That's what I'm saying. There would have been no more races that weekend. Shout out. But the thing that drove me crazy and I felt so bad for Andy because he wins the race. And listen, if you don't know Andy, Andy was Cletus before there was a Cletus in that series. Like, he is the guy that is like,
Starting point is 00:24:22 just the diehard guy. I mean, the guy's out delivering pizzas during the week at times trying to pay for his race and he's up there building his own shit. I mean, and just a great guy finally gets that win. He's been close a couple times
Starting point is 00:24:32 and finally gets the wind gets out and gets booed to death because he beat Cleetus for the win and I'm like, this poor guy just did this lifelong dreams coming true and now he's getting booed for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I'm like, that sucks. But other than that, yeah,
Starting point is 00:24:46 I thought that race was interesting to say the race at the end. It was entertaining at the end. Yeah. It was crazy. watching cars just with the front end like Kimmel's car destroyed. I was pulling for Will so bad. He's such a good dude. That family's awesome. Isabella was in the mix there for a little bit. Gus Dean was bouncing off shit like usual. It was, it was fun to watch those. And I was like Andy, I thought they were coming to the white.
Starting point is 00:25:10 I didn't realize. They kept digging until like turn three. I don't blame him. He was going to do what he said the last time. He's not going to live until he sees Jesus and check a flag or something. He did. He did. What else you got? Corey Day, Exfinity, or Exfinity, I still can't. O'Reilly's here. He's Corey Day wins. Expinity. Fast is it.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Do we still get paid? Yeah, fast as Exfinity. Fast is Exfinity Mobile. They're still in our car, so I can't stop saying it. But yeah, I mean, just nothing but first time winners. What was the last time? Have we ever had that where every winter in a weekend has been a first time winner? Probably.
Starting point is 00:25:44 I mean, I'm sure. It happened. I feel like a year to. It happened. I think Josh Wise program, there's a weekend where it was, it was like Zane me and then somebody else in the Cup series where we were all first-time winners. Yeah. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:25:55 But I mean, what, I mean, Corey, I think if anybody had to pick a place, Corey was going to win his first race at none of us would have picked Talladega. He's already won up on Larson. I was going to say, has Larson ever won a play race anywhere? I didn't know if he didn't win nationwide or anything. But yeah, and they did it. He did a really good job at the end of that race. That was one thing I learned.
Starting point is 00:26:12 Did you see that highlight clip of Swallich in the Talladeger? Swalich had a tough day. He had a tough day. He came down. I saw the Green flag pit stop deal. It was great. He was going 100 mile an hour faster than all of them. Yeah, so my spotter spots for him.
Starting point is 00:26:29 And apparently they never told him to pit, but he saw all the Toyota's peel off. And he was just like, oh, shoot, I got to come. And, yeah, they weren't ready for. And the kids, I mean, he's done a great job this year. I think obviously one rocking ham. He's been much improved over last year, I think. And he starts the race. He wrecks our poleing on lap one.
Starting point is 00:26:49 He leading the race after their cycle of pit stop. I think it was stage two. Unfortunately, it blends up on the race, straight up on the racetrack like we do at Daytona, but not a Talladega. So he gets a penalty for that. He also brought like free guys with him up on the racetracks so we all got penalties.
Starting point is 00:27:02 I feel like we always do that at Talladega under caution there, like last year. I don't know. I don't remember ever fall in the apron under caution. But so I do it just in case. So he gets a penalty there. Serving his penalty, he doesn't listen to Drew, unfortunately.
Starting point is 00:27:18 So he ends up stopped in the outside lane at the arrow. So nobody can pick the top because the 18s got it blocked. Everybody's screaming and Drew to get out of the way. Then he has the pit road deal where he's coming with us and it almost runs everybody over. And then the last lap, I don't know. I mean, he's a lap down. He's in the mix.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I get both sides of that. Yeah, because I know he's trying to help the 19. If the caution comes out, like you're back in the lead lap, but at the same time, he'd- Well, not after you take the white. Break the shit out of his brother-in-law, too. Yeah. And I mean, I guess, like, I'm talking to Drew about it.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Like, you're also the 19's on his bumper. so you're trying to help the 19 get a better finish. But I just felt like at that point, after you take the white, you're not getting a lucky dog. It might be time to just kind of either stay in line or whatnot. But, you know, whatever. I mean, it's just, but the kid just did not have a very good day on Saturday, unfortunately. Who else in that race was, you know, I'll tell you who's fun to race around in those races is Jeb. Really?
Starting point is 00:28:12 No. I knew it. Did you see that tweet that sent you last night? No. Oh, no. I sent you in another group. There's a Jeff. I saw he said where Hostvar was getting hung.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Yeah. And they ended up watching. Yeah. I didn't see that tweet. Yeah. I read it and Judge, Jeff's voice. How'd they go? Them boys don't really like Hosavar, so watch he's going to get hung right here.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Watch. I need you to start doing voice impersonations because you had me cracking up last week. And this week, no different. The, yes, but Jeb is much like Hosavar, very aggressive, takes every run he can. And also, like, when you're next to him, he just turns down on you. Like, there's a couple times we're rolling through the middle and he's in the top. And he just kind of turns down. and squeeze you into the bottom and you're like, God, if I stay in this, I'm going to wreck you.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Like, I don't understand what the thought process is, but keep digging. But he usually either ends up in the top five or on the rollback, and this was a rollback week for him, unfortunately. But yeah, that race was, that race is just so much more fun to spot. I'm assuming when you guys ran it, it was more fun to race than these races are that we're doing in the Cup series now. I mean, the car is just every week. Every track. one thing I did learn is you would need a Chevy on Saturdays right now. There's no Ford's.
Starting point is 00:29:25 The Toyotas did not? Yeah, there are no. The Toyota is there one? Yeah. Pettinger. We'll see for how much. I felt like, yeah. I felt like, well, they finished 11, so maybe they got a little money to go to the next one.
Starting point is 00:29:36 But, yeah, we were, I felt like we were at a pretty big deficit. If we didn't keep Chevy's behind us, we were going to struggle to hang on there a little bit. I think all the Toyotas were kind of in the same boat. But Dean did a good job. Dean, I think he ended up with the third highest points on the day and finished top five or six both stages six in the race what happened
Starting point is 00:29:52 for good points days you know what happened I didn't watch much of the race why was RCR like what happened to Austin I think it's a combination of maybe I think the Hendrick engines have caught up to those guys I think that they're they're on par now and then
Starting point is 00:30:06 you have those guys we've talked about it before and here like you know if you circle a guy that's like I got to beat that guy well you do you the best to like not help them or kind of try to keep them boxed in like at the end of the race we ended up with the two behind us and I'm like do not let this guy get out from behind you. I don't care.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I said, I don't care what are you having front of you. Just keep the two box in because he's one of the fastest cars on race track usually. He'll be able to push you back into the mix, whatever, whatever happens. And that, you know, that's what happened for us. But, yeah, I think that they, the 21 had something go wrong. They lost the draft. So they were just riding around in the back towards the end. And then the two was just kind of, he was a part of it, but he kind of got swallowed up.
Starting point is 00:30:41 And I think the same thing. People don't want to work with those guys because they know how fast they are and they want to try to keep them boxed in. But yeah, it was, I mean, it's just so much. more fun to spot Saturday and Sunday right now. And those races and kind of all of them, but to be honest, like Noah said. But, yeah, it was, it was interesting to say the least. Clint Boyer and Jamie McMurray are driving the Dodges.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Yeah, where they are? So I didn't see that. So Boyer, I think is it Dover and San Diego? And Jamie's at San Diego. I saw Jamie getting seat mold at one of the modified shops. And I was wondering if he was going to run the modified. But I guess maybe this is what it was for. So, yeah, maybe I could have those guys back that.
Starting point is 00:31:19 25 truck will be fun this year with some of the people that are going to get in it. Yeah, I don't know. It'll be interesting to see if Boyer still got it. Probably not. He's probably washed at this point, I would think. I wouldn't want to go to Dover after not running for a long. It's a hard one to get you. In a truck?
Starting point is 00:31:32 Yeah. I didn't. What is Kyle Bush revealed his driver hate list? I didn't see that. Yeah. He was on that. I just saw like a couple clips. Who does he hate?
Starting point is 00:31:42 I forget who he hates. Every clip I saw. It was not the most positive. Brad, I think. He said his hateless. Brad and Lagano says he hates him. Yeah. That's a harsh word
Starting point is 00:31:50 He said he has no friends I saw that part He said you're friends with anybody He said no He said anybody you hate Yeah I was like Sounds like a fun line
Starting point is 00:31:57 Kyle's in a tough spot right now I feel like he's probably not having a lot of fun I think he got a top 10 though right I think he finished 10th So yeah Good for him first I think they said there's a first top 10 For RCR this year
Starting point is 00:32:08 Which is pretty surprising To say the least Did you guys know that you aren't athletes Yeah I saw that Apparently I know I'm not an athlete I'm elite Ty Dillon called me a sleeper build
Starting point is 00:32:21 Sleeper build Sleeper build Yeah he goes You're way more athletic than I thought I'm like yeah I'm a 60% athlete I could be anybody in 60% of the sports A majority of sports Yeah
Starting point is 00:32:34 The same day Smith deal is hard though because like I mean what's an athlete Like I don't know It's so hard because Any like My problem Do we have athletic ability
Starting point is 00:32:44 Like we've all seen Brad's basketball clip No not all all of us. A lot of us do. But there is some, but like, that doesn't define you as an athlete. Right. The thing that I just try, it drives me crazy because he's a long snapper, an athlete. That's what I mean? Like, yeah, he plays on a football. He's a football player. Yeah. Yeah. Is a kicker, like, an athlete? I mean, yeah, we all have our individual skills, right? So he just, the thing is, like, the thing that I don't even want to give him attention, because that's all he's looking for. He just says dumb shit like that. He does say dumb ass shit all the time. Just to get attention. And it's like, it's just for this call. Like he's going to get a million likes or a million, a million impressions because everybody's going to come out of. He fired up the crowd.
Starting point is 00:33:23 He did a good job. He did a good job uniting the fan base, at least. We've never, we haven't been united about much, the many things that we got on Stephen A. We're at least. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, talk about your seasons really quick. You know, obviously, no and not start.
Starting point is 00:33:40 You want to chase really bad start. Start to crawl yourself back at him a little bit. I mean, shit. I mean, it wasn't his fault. Really bad start. Chase, you got the worst? Out of my back. Well, the fuck, I think the third episode.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Yeah, he's been twisting it, so it might be stuck. The third episode of the year, we're on here. They're like, is Chase going to make the playoffs? Is it season over? I'm like, no, season is not over. He's fine, but it did not get started how you wanted, I would imagine. But now you're crawling your way back. Obviously, there's a setback this weekend.
Starting point is 00:34:05 But, I mean, were you happy with the speed you guys have and just trying to move forward from there? I would say it's been a little bit of both. Like, the beginning of the year, I thought our speed was really good. Like, outside of Redick, I thought that we were a top two or three car every single weekend and then you know we'd blow a tire or have a transmission break or you know something like that and i think we were in 37 three weeks in a row at tracks where we were going to run you know top three but then the last couple weeks you know martinsville we just missed it you know kansas we weren't really great bristol we were kind of just fourth or fifth all day
Starting point is 00:34:37 so yeah speedwise we've kind of been just fourth or fifth yeah we're kind of been all over the point but yeah i don't know after last year like the the end that you have you know going to the championship for just how strong we were like your expectations are just so high that whenever you don't get started like that this year it kind of stings but um yeah we're we're get through it just it's so hard because with the the format now you know mathematically you really need to be in the top five uh five or six to really have a shot to win the championship and that's where like it's just like we have to average i want to say it's like 40 points of race now so it just makes it really hard Yeah, and to put that in context, you get 35 points for second without stage points. So if you're trying to average 35, I think that's our number every week is like we're trying to get 35. That's what you guys are for? I'm like 92 points average to.
Starting point is 00:35:28 For the championship to make the point. What's, I mean, have you been reading James's maps since Kota? I mean, I've been paying attention to those. I will say I panicked a little bit yesterday. I like, I skimmed through them, but like, I don't know. like as a driver you don't want to be like i need to study that dvp map to really know where it's at this but uh so i the coda deal happened right and then phoenix the next week we blow that tire and he like he like comes over the radio he's like hey we're going to take the tvp and i'm like don't worry
Starting point is 00:35:58 i read the map this week well then yesterday he's like we're going to take it to the dvp area he goes i know you've read the map and you're going to know where it's at so just take it straight there and i'm like panicking in the back of my mind i'm like hopefully i remember which turn it this is and luckily drew helped me out how how how but I mean, it sounds intense at times, and it has with Martin. Now it's you saw it. Like, how intense is James and how much fun? He's maybe one of my favorite people in the garage.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Oh, he's super intense. And he's just so intense. It's just, I love it. It's like you couldn't find two more polar opposite people. I feel like this, like him and myself personality-wise. And even like intensity-wise. But it just kind of works out. So, yeah, it is fun.
Starting point is 00:36:38 He is a super fun person. I always tell everybody, like, the victory lane James is like my all-time favorite. like he's screaming and yell him and just like high on life. So yeah, it definitely drives you to try to get to victory lane more because it's so fun watching him be like that. But yeah, he is a very intense person. What kind of motivational words or speeches does he get to you? What does he say? I can't say I would get canceled pretty quickly.
Starting point is 00:37:03 I needed his accent too. Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of curse words in all the James Small Radio for sure. No, obviously, not to start. You have wanted. We finished on a lead lap four times, Daytona, Atlanta, Cota, and Talladega. So I don't, we've had, we had good speed last year. We got in so many wrecks, like, just collected in wrecks last year.
Starting point is 00:37:27 But I was really happy with our speed last year as a group on the four team. But I don't know, we've kind of been struggling on the regular tracks, whether it be the short tracks or intermediate tracks. It's just been, it's been tough this year for our group. new crew chief made a couple internal changes so that's been a little difficult to cope with but hopefully we can you know be in group two this week after a top 10 finish and just kind of start to stack pennies as Corey LaJoy would say just just build off of it because when you go out early in qualifying it it's really tough and it just kind of compounds and you're starting in the back
Starting point is 00:38:11 and then you're not getting stage points. It's just, it's tough. So hopefully we'll get a little bit of momentum this weekend coming up at Texas. Texas was good last week. We got Bubbaed in the third stage last year at Texas. We had a top-time round going. We wrecked you?
Starting point is 00:38:27 Yeah, we all wrecked down the back straight away and I got hit by Bubba. Spotted. I don't doubt it. It was probably my fault. Spotter fault. Definitely Fred's fault. Wouldn't be the first, wouldn't be the last.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Guess what? You do it again? Guess what? That's what we've been saying all the time. I'd do it again. That's your bit right now. You made a spotter change mid-season this year. How hard is it to get, like, hit the ground running with a new guy that you'd never
Starting point is 00:38:53 worked with before? I mean, obviously, you know, you don't have a lot of practice. We don't, you know, you kind of just got to go straight in the race and hope it works out. Yeah, I mean, you're just trying to prepare as much as you can and communicate as much as possible. And you're learning each and every week. But, yeah, we're just. just trying to get our base core figured out and the people and the personnel. So like I said, it's been kind of a frustrating last 18 months.
Starting point is 00:39:22 But just trying to come in week to week, Monday mornings being positive. And you got a new opportunity ahead. We prepare throughout the week as if we're going to win the race. I know it hasn't worked out that way. But, you know, the grind is still there. We're not giving up at all by any means. Like I'll leave here. I'll go work out over at Clear 28, the Rush Aates building, and then we'll go over to lunch and talk with my team and, you know, kind of debrief a little bit as a four team.
Starting point is 00:39:53 And then we'll have a competition meeting tomorrow. So there's a lot that goes into it week to week. But, yeah, we're making, you know, some changes, hopefully for the better. And it's kind of where we're at right now. When do you think you guys get the extra horsepower from the lawsuit? Because I know we have it now. Do we shift it over to you the extra 200? Fuck.
Starting point is 00:40:12 I hope soon. I hope soon because I get the second half of the season. It's just the stay we split the season and half, I guess. All right, before we get into spot-on, spot off, we want to let you guys know about fan day that is coming up on May 21st here at J.R.M. Dirty Mo Media and Sirius XM will be putting on a handful of shows that day, presented by our friends at Arby's. And that starts with Larry Mack and Danielle Trotta at 9 a.m.
Starting point is 00:40:35 And then I think they're letting us do a live show again this year, apparently. So they'll start with 11. Dirty Mo Live with a crew that you don't want to miss that includes Kenny Wallace, Mike Davis, and two surprise guests from an upcoming Dirty Mo Media Project. And then at noon, it'll be Bless Your Heart Live with Dale and Amy. And then, of course, they saved the best for last.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Door bumper clear at 1 p.m. And we will have Jordan Bianchi joining us. So you can coming out with us that day. We would love to see you guys and come see what fun we've got in store for everybody. I'm glad they didn't give us the 9 o'clock slot. No, God. We can barely. They know we've got things to do that week. Yeah, but it'll be a fun day. It always is.
Starting point is 00:41:13 You have, will you have the trailer set up that day? Yep, car store merch will be there. Working on a few other partners of ours maybe that might want to come out. Go to Noah Gregson Racing.com. Buy all that merch. Don't buy all that shit. Just get my stuff. Do you want to come set up at our fan day? Noah? You could set up a store, a little storefront. You could...
Starting point is 00:41:31 Yeah, I might get my little boutique going out on that thing. A pop-up shop. Pop-up shop. Spot on. Spot on. Did you want to go first on this one? I think he's a whiny bit. That's what I think.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Send it. Why me? All right. Spot on, spot off. Topic one, Carson Hosevar's celebration was the greatest that we've seen since Alan Kowicki's Polish Victory Lab. Spot on. That was sick. I was watching when he hit the wall.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Like he knows that thing up to the wall. It almost shot him out of the car. Did you see him almost hit the inside wall? Yeah. To get started? Yeah. How hard is that to do? Is NASCAR going to make a rule about that?
Starting point is 00:42:12 Well, his legs are, yeah. He's the only one who's got six-foot long legs. And I mean, like he looked like he was kind of, like he said he had to take the wheel off and then kind of position himself around the wheel and put it back on. Like, is he the only one that could do that, I would assume? Probably. We could probably figure out how to do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:25 I don't, like, it'd be hard. I don't think I can do it. I'm too big. I got out one time at Bristol doing a burnout in Exfinity, but. Yeah, but you took the wheel off. I took the wheel off. I couldn't do it with the wheel in. there's no way. Yeah, probably not. I did one where I was sitting on the car and on a road course
Starting point is 00:42:43 and drove it down the front straight away, but the wheel was off, but I was steering it with my hand. But it goes straight. It doesn't have any castor split. So it goes straight. But I did that in 2016. So the, yeah, definitely spot on. He had literally the NASCAR out of his hand. The only way that, the only way it could have been any better is he caught that beer. That one guy threw in a arm. He would have caught that beer. That was a hook would be a throw. I mean, it was pretty good for a moving target. If he would have caught that, that would have been so fucking iconic. What I really liked about it afterwards, obviously the post race, I didn't watch the post
Starting point is 00:43:15 race coverage, but they said like he made a joke and looked at OD like, you know, Steve O'D, like, hey, am I in trouble about this? And I think in years past, like even Mike Joyce said it on the broadcast, he's like, oh, there's going to be a rule about this on Monday. They would bake a rule or they would tell him, don't ever fucking do that again. It was funny this time, but don't ever do it again. And OD is like, no, I had no problem with it, man. It looked like fun.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Because O'D is a real one. The skew police is out and now OD's in. So he's here for the drivers. I think that people don't realize that about Steve O'Donnell. I think Steve O'Donnell unfairly gets lumped in with a lot of the old guard. And they don't realize, like, that's why we had him on here. You know, he is, I mean, I kind of, I think somebody said it to me afterwards. They're like some of that old guard is kind of more wine and cheese crowd.
Starting point is 00:43:57 And he is more beer and pretzels. And I think that that's what the fan base needs. And they're leaning into fun. You know, they're leaning into like things of fans. like they're going to try to promote it. They're going to lean into it more where I think the old people, the old people, or you could say either way, I guess. Old people. You know, they would have came, they probably would have told Carson, don't do that ever again or, you know, I don't think they would ever penalize them for it. But I think they would be like, hey. No, they definitely tell you not to
Starting point is 00:44:20 do it. When I did it in 2016, K&N, granted it was a different series, but series director back then, he said, don't do that shit. Yeah, it was, I would, yeah, I mean, it would, I would probably avoid driving into the fence again next day. O'Donnell was on Siris X-N when I was driving here and he was like, I'm all good with it. I just, there's going to be an asterisk beside her. Like, we don't want you to drive it into the fence. Yeah. Because that could have been big. That would have been ugly if he
Starting point is 00:44:41 gets tossed out of the car. No helmet on. But yeah, I mean, but I think it's lean into it. Let's have fun. No, yeah. That's cool. On the tear down, Steve O'Donnell says, quote, the last two stages is exactly what you would want in terms of Super Speedway racing, end quote. All right. So, O.D., I love you on the last
Starting point is 00:44:57 topic. And this one, I couldn't be any more spot off. For sure. I'm spot on and spot off and the sense. I'm spot on the fact that we were all
Starting point is 00:45:06 running 100% like there was no fuel save but yeah you just run two by two by two by two by two by two by two. It's a car problem. Can we just admit it's a car problem?
Starting point is 00:45:14 Yeah, it's you know, I don't know what is what's good Super Speedway racing. Like what is it? What I saw Saturday? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:45:22 where you can go from 20th to the lead in five 10 laps. What Super Speedway hung its hat on was unpredictability. You know, you could,
Starting point is 00:45:28 I feel like, you know, you were kind of in this position. yesterday where if you're rolling around with a clean race car at the end of a super speedway race before this car, you had a shot. Like you still felt like you had a shot. When you restarted, you know, you stay out there, you restart wherever you were probably 15th or so. I don't think there's any mind, you know, there's any way in your mind. You're like, I'm getting ready to drive to the front here. Like you know that you're not a boxed in. We knew that before the race started.
Starting point is 00:45:49 Like, do you look at, there's no better example. You look at the way that last stage started. The top six guys all finished in the top six, except for Jones. Eric, Eric got knocked out of the way. You know, he got turned down there. But other than that, there was the top six was all not going to change for the last 40 laps. And that's, you know, the unpredictability is what made it. I could have told you the guys, the three or four guys were going to race for the win with 40 to go. You know, like that wasn't going to change. Unless there's a big wreck.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But, you know, it's just, that's what I hate about it is when you. Was it intense watching it at the end or not? I mean, I watch, it was just like, I don't know about the fans. Like, I know you guys know nothing's going to happen. You know, the fans, maybe. watching, you know, because
Starting point is 00:46:31 they're doing a pretty good job on TV because I watched the last 10 laps from the car with the on TV and they're doing a pretty good job of like, oh, this might happen and this might happen. We all know watching it. Does it look cool when we're four wide and we're fuel saving or does it to me it's better when we're hogging ass? It looks like for
Starting point is 00:46:47 one photo. It was weird because I liked the first stage yesterday versus the four wide half throttle because at least people were doing different things and guys were taken off and now maybe we'll change that next time and we'll all probably do the same thing. But, you know, the four wide, we just get four wide or three wide at Daytona and run half throttle. And we're all doing the same thing.
Starting point is 00:47:06 And it's just running. There was no action. At least yesterday, there was some guys going and taking off and stopping and pushing when they had, you know, they thought they had enough fuel. Isn't that what we had like before, though? I mean, the thing that drives me crazy is everybody's like, well, if we do that, we'll just go back to single file racing. Well, we only ran single file because we had time to kill and we wanted to stay safe. Once we decided to race, we could race. Like you could do anything you wanted almost.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Like we saw that on Saturday. There was a couple times, I think, end of the second stage in the middle of the third stage, where, you know, we all got single file, but then once somebody tries to make something happen, then guys cover that lane. Now we're racing again. It's crazy how draggy our car is.
Starting point is 00:47:44 They're draggy, draggy. I think they run single file back in the day, too, because, like, you couldn't run 100 laps, like on kill because you would all crash. Yeah. So, like, you would just click off laps trying to get towards the end, and then you could just race. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:59 It was just keeping yourself safe. You know, we're all talking about getting to the end. Because in those packages, I mean, that's what you see guys just right around the back. Ryan Newman was famous for it. You just right around the back because he knew with 30 to go, he could pick the right lanes and drive to the front if he wanted to. And that's what you saw. Get flipped on. Probably.
Starting point is 00:48:16 But, you know, that's like, I couldn't disagree more with OD because I thought that was exactly what you don't want to see in Speedway Racing is just two lanes. And the thing I will say that I'm not sure about is if we had the full field out there, maybe the third. lanes a little bit better, but I think it's still very circumstantial about how much the guys in the front race each other to whether or not that lane gets going. And, you know, I just, I don't know, it just seemed to me like we just, I don't know, I felt like we took a step back, at least the end of those races. There's some strategy in the third stage and there's guys, you know, you got a fuel save to the pit stop. Yesterday it just looked like I could have told you who was going to win with or who was going to contend for the win with 40 to go. And I don't think that's what we want. What about the,
Starting point is 00:48:55 the preseason testing? I'd be interested to see. I'd be interested in the same. I'd be interested in see what we do. You know, I think, first of all, I think we all have to go. I think, well, I think we have to do it like into November, early December. Because if you wait till January and say it's like, oh, wow, this is incredible. They're not going to be able to make enough parts in time for first of February. Yeah. I mean, I think it's already set in stone that it's January. I agree with you, though. But I don't know, I still don't know what they can change if it's just taking stuff off or putting different pieces on. These were the races I always circled on the calendar because I look forward to spotting them so much. And now it's like a drag. You know,
Starting point is 00:49:28 I mean, it's like, you're just flying blind, waiting on strategy to play out. And then if it doesn't play out, you know, you're just stuck and then hope to got something happens. As we run now, too, like next Super Speedway race, now it's just going to turn into fuel saving in stage two because everybody knows you've got to be the first two rows of stage three. Otherwise, you have no shots to win. Yeah, because I know Carson, I'd have to go back and look and see where, like, Bisher was because I think he was closer to the front. But like Carson was back half of the pack, you know, at the end of stage two and cycles right to the lead. didn't so it's just yeah it's just all going to come down to whoever it's still it's probably more fuel savings than before i know i almost wish that it would have been the opposite like the first two
Starting point is 00:50:06 stages be short and the last and be long because at least there's like what if go ahead i haven't put much thought just sparked an idea in my head so don't come after me think you're going to say the same thing bub has been saying what more stages no what if he just didn't throw the caution for the stages so then i and I might be, I haven't thought about it. Here's the thing. I think no matter, here's why I think we have to fix the car. Because no matter what strategy you come up with, stage lengths, whatever it is, at the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:50:37 you're all going to stay, but you're all going to still be just doing whatever you can to win the race to put the least amount of fuel in your car on the last pit stop. No matter what strategy. Yes. No matter what strategy, you know, what the stage lengths are, no matter what anything is, the whole race is still going to be determined by who spends the least amount of time on pit stop. road for the last pit stop. That's got, I shouldn't say the race. That's going to be the guy that's in position to win. Now, whether or not that works out for them, yes or no, but that the whole, no matter
Starting point is 00:51:05 you can make it, 15 stages, no matter what it is. Yeah. It's a last pit stop is all that matters right now. It's a 40-lap green light checker. Yeah. And you got to be up front. Yeah. And so I think the fix has to be with the car more than the format, but I don't know what
Starting point is 00:51:20 the answer is for that. I'm not smart enough. Maybe we'll ask Tommy next time he shows up. Yeah. That's what we're missing today. all that insight. Tommy had a hell of it. Like Tommy, first of all, Luke guts run over in the cars to her. I mean, we're smart to a race the other night.
Starting point is 00:51:34 And then Jack gets wrecked into cars to a race. Cletus damn near wins the race on Saturday. Host of our wins. Tommy's probably, that's probably why he left. He probably saw this coming. He knew it was going to go. All right. All right. Justin Algear and Carson Quappell received penalties for impeding.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Spot on, spot off. I think it's a balls and strike call. You know, it's just. Yeah. Balls and strike. you guys know this was a rule before? Yeah, but they've never really called it. Like, it's been super egregious in the past.
Starting point is 00:52:01 I think it was Ross the one year. I mean, it was like, I mean, I'm spot on in the fact of it probably is going to help us not kill each other. But yeah, it is hard because it's a total judgment call. But we'll go to Kansas and we'll go to Kansas and guys are doing it. So it's like what? Yeah. It stems from Blaney at Daytona. I think Blaney got away with something of Daytona that nobody caught.
Starting point is 00:52:25 in the moment. They caught it afterwards. And now, because Blaney, leaving pit road, the rule of Daytona is you got to put your left sides on the yellow line all the way through one and two, blend off a turn two. He blended, like, just past the center of the corner trying to block everybody. And everybody freaked out afterwards. Like, hey, hell, he'll let that get away with it. So then that kind of piqued their interest to it. So they kind of sent out a memo like, hey, we're going to be looking at this a little closer this week. And I think, like, to Chase's point, like, yes, it's going to, sometimes you've got to protect us from ourselves. And like, the block that those guys are trying to make off
Starting point is 00:52:55 a two, the seven and the one. The guys are running 20, 25 miles how faster than them? First of all, you're not going to be able to block it. But I don't even though they weren't trying to block is the problem. They're trying to slow them down. They're trying to just cause chaos and split the pack up so they don't get swallowed up too bad. And I think that that's something we do need to take out.
Starting point is 00:53:10 And I think you guys were in the driver's meeting yesterday. I wasn't. Did they make it pretty clear like once you get to turn three gets game on? I mean, that's right. I mean, that's what. No, they just said they just remember. Brisebo the L. And it's like, okay, you guys.
Starting point is 00:53:25 like you're not telling us what's the line in the sand. So I thought Bubba got up on the driver's meeting. Maybe he got it directly from Elton. But Bubba said, you know, speaking to Elton, he basically said, make sure you get to at least turn three. Yeah, that's what I understood it. And then, you know, then you can kind of, because you're still going to have massive blocks in three and four,
Starting point is 00:53:42 you know, when you're getting up the speed. Yeah. It's just, but yeah, that deal off of two, you know, you're just never, it's never going to work, first of all. We have, I mean, Chase knows we have a map of tells us, kind of like, don't block here because it's not going to ever work. Then there's a section where you can block. It might work.
Starting point is 00:54:00 Can you, I'll say it? I'm not saying, you're giving away a trade secret here, right? I'm just saying, I'm not telling you where the map is. I'm just telling you that there's sections. Let me see that. But I'll show it to you later. The green zone is down the back straight. You can block any time.
Starting point is 00:54:12 As soon as you get off pit road, it's green, then it's red and yellow, orange. I was messing with Almondinger. Yesterday I driver in shows, I was like, what are they talking about one or two stop? What does that mean? And, like, why would you do two? stops in the first stage is only 60 or 45 however many laps it was last year what why are they talking about this what does that mean and he's like no it's 98 laps I'm like what what did they when they changed that last night dude I had him so wound up he's like just gas he's like
Starting point is 00:54:44 he's like believe it because you didn't know about the hand rule either well I actually did forget about that I still do I still think you did that on purpose I know I swear to God I did not I don't know I still don't know if I believe it. I wasn't on purpose. It was not on purpose. It was just out of habit. How was it when they told you?
Starting point is 00:55:02 Well, because Ross came up to me and he's like, you had your hand up. I was like, yeah, we all do. Yeah. And then, Risky Briskey, Chase's dad came up to me. Like four people came up to me.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Then I'm walking out pit road. And here's Chase's dad. And he's like, your hand. I was like, and I just got these new gloves to match my shoes. So I'm like, yeah, you saw my gloves. Like, they're. sick, huh? He's like, yeah, your hand was up. I'm like, I know, I probably would have been
Starting point is 00:55:26 another 10 faster if I did it the whole way around the track. He's like, yeah, it's crazy. I'm like, not really. I just have a hand up. And then Jamie Little comes up to me and she's like, I don't know what they're going to do. They're going to let you race tomorrow, right?
Starting point is 00:55:43 What the fuck is going? What is going on? She's like, you had your hand up. I was like, I know. She's like, it's a penalty. They made a rule. I'm like, oh my God. You got to be kidding me. Yeah, good job. Typical man.
Starting point is 00:55:58 Good work. All right. Last one. Cletus McFarland made one wrong move all day and it cost him the win. Spot on, spot off. Freddie. I wish Tommy was here. The move that he made wasn't as bad as I.
Starting point is 00:56:11 He moved left, like kind of left. He tried to like squeeze down a little bit and at the same time that Gus came up, I think. Oh, okay. So, yeah. Yeah, just coming off a four. Because I felt like if he just stayed straight, dead straight with the 71 behind him, Gus was going to be by himself on the bottom. Yeah, I don't feel like he needed to run him all the way.
Starting point is 00:56:26 And Gus probably would have drove on the side of him if I had to guess. But, you know, he just kind of squeezed down a little bit and then Gus came up. And then when Gus hit him in the left rear, it shot both of them way down a racetrack and just opened the doors for the floodgates for Andy J to drive by both of them. But, I mean, watching this guy in this race, he looked like a different guy than had run all these other plate races. Now, you know, I don't know if Rhett has dropped the plate back off a deal. that he had whatever they got one of Dale's old ones I think on there because that thing was fucking hauling ass but and I'm just kidding I don't think they were actually cheating but I mean
Starting point is 00:57:03 that car was really fast but he was making confident moves in the pack and I don't know if he's just went to school on that or if he's listening to Kevin was doing a really good job spotting for him but he just looked like a different guy way more confident in himself I mean I know you spent some time with him on Friday night I think it was you know he just looked like a different guy when we got to this place. Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's also the ARCA series. So how does, like, Jake Fincher, like,
Starting point is 00:57:30 Gusty not win, like, every single race in that series. Or, like... Well, usually, I don't know. Like, two guys usually win every single race in that series. Last year was Butterbean and whoever was driving the 18. Yeah, like... And now it's whoever drives the 18 and maybe whoever does 20 years. Yeah, thank you, coach.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Thank you, coach for the Elmore. What a great race. I don't know why you all smiling, though. We did what we needed to do, eh? Thanks, coach. No, I think instead of Walmart being your backup, it should be like voiceovers. It's a voice acting.
Starting point is 00:58:03 We're going to get some stogies and cannolis, you know, celebrate it up. The thing that I want people to realize is that it's still, and this is why I keep saying this is where he belongs, because he can be competitive in this series. I think they said there was 120, 100,000, Cleetus. A hundred thousand people watching his live stream,
Starting point is 00:58:20 his in-car live stream on YouTube. He's great. Like, if he's competitive, this is going to be like a great story. He was perfect for Cleodon. Exactly. Him and Squirrel, he was going to run decent. He got piled in that last wreck. But, you know, that's perfect for them, guys,
Starting point is 00:58:32 because they're going to bring eyes of that series. I mean, more people were talking about Archer this week than O'Reilly race probably. And I had people, Wyndham's at the dam at Knoxville texting me about the finish of the Arker race. You know, friends are texting me. That's bullshit. He finished second. They should have let him race still, Riley race.
Starting point is 00:58:46 Yeah. What would have happened if they put him out there on R. R. the arc on our eye of the race. Probably would have won. But like, it's when you go to the other, he needs to get experience at the other tracks and develop his craft.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Like, he can go drive anything and have, he's great for the sport. We need him in the sport. Absolutely. But he also needs to get more reps to be competitive. Yeah. The other tracks. I think that, you know,
Starting point is 00:59:11 it even kind of opened his eyes up a little bit too when he started doing this more, like especially running Rockingham and stuff. Like I remember when he first started talking, about racing. Like, he wanted to run the Daytona 500.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I think he thought it was easier than it. Yeah. And I think I saw an interview with him the other day where he was like, I'm no way I can run the Daytona 500. So,
Starting point is 00:59:30 like, I think it's cool that he's like, kind of starting to realize how hard it is. But yeah, the ARCA deal is perfect because he can be competitive. Like,
Starting point is 00:59:36 he can make an impact where, maybe he goes and runs the season of ARCA and then he can go run the XFinity deal or O'Reilly thing and be a little bit more competitive. But for how little he's raced, like you could put him in
Starting point is 00:59:48 a RCR car, JGR, like you're not going to go beat guys that have raised their whole life. Yeah, I mean, now he's going to be, it's going to be interesting to see because he's going to Nashville. He's going to run the O'Reilly race in Nashville, in a RCR car, I assume. And it's going to be interesting because obviously you guys know that's not an easy place to go run at. And I don't think unless they let him do it again, I don't think he's going to have the benefit of going there and spending a day testing in Nashville. So now he's going to be relying on an hour of practice or 50 minutes of practice and a couple laps of qualifying to be his extent of experience. he's going to struggle and he has to go in there like the expectations
Starting point is 01:00:22 were at Rocky Castle in the Arca car you know it's just and I talk to Mark Rat Mark Rat and Terry Jones on that team Red Jones racing for the Arca deal and just need to do like a full season go to just let him go just race everything I think that you know he followed that Arca series
Starting point is 01:00:40 the whole thing where you go to a place like Salem he would learn so much if he would have done that all last year he would be he'd be ready and it would have unbelievable content for his YouTube and for our fans to go watch like the travels. I mean, you guys have done it. You guys have run Arka races. I did a whole season traveling with Venerini one time riding a damn bus up and down
Starting point is 01:00:56 the road. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? Well, and what's the rush to get him moving through it much quick? Because like to the content. Well, on the content side of things, I feel like it's almost better for NASCAR as a whole. If he's in each series longer, I mean, why go run two RACA races and get it all out of that? You know, you have a whole year of his influence in ARCA.
Starting point is 01:01:18 and then a whole year or two of it in O'Reilly. Like, it's better if they rush less. After Rockingham, my point was like, if he just ran the Arca raise at Rockingham, it would have been a fantastic story. Like, he would have finished top five. I think he finished fourth. Holy shit. Cleetus had a great day, whatever.
Starting point is 01:01:32 Well, he gets out of the car, gets in the O'Reilly car. He runs, whatever, 32nd, five laps down, half spins three or four times. And now instead of talking about how great he did in the Arca, everybody's like, well, did he do enough to do enough to get approved for Tal'Dega? Probably not. You know, just let him run Arca.
Starting point is 01:01:46 Stay in Arca. I know there's sponsor money. is being Exfinity or O'Reilly over Arka. NASCAR probably wants more rise on the O'Reilly series, so they're trying to pump him in there. But, you know, I just think he's such a good fit for Arca. He could be competitive and do a lot more for the sport in that series versus just going and running.
Starting point is 01:02:02 Full time. I think he could contend for the championship. He literally could because there's five guys that run all year probably. And he could definitely be top five in points, I think. And he could probably contend for champions. Who is full time? And I don't like Jake Bowman was leading points, but I don't even know if he was full, if he's full time. Is Max Reeves?
Starting point is 01:02:18 No. No, because him and Gio. Gio's not. I mean, I don't think anybody is. Honestly, I don't know who is. I'm sure some of the night show cars are full-time. I don't know who they are. Laster full-time.
Starting point is 01:02:28 You see his video of his Benny Stock or whatever? No. I saw somebody say he was. He was running in Brownstown. Yeah, that's what it was. A little four-bangers. Dude, Brayton's a man.
Starting point is 01:02:37 Shout out, Brayton. Shut up, Brayton. Shut up, Braden. All right, DBC fans. It's time to react. All right. Well, it is time for reaction theater where fans can call in and voice their opinions from the weekend. Noah, did you guys, did you make any calls into this this weekend?
Starting point is 01:03:02 No. He did. He used one of those voices. It's going to be all known. We'll see if you guys. It's actually all known. Take it. Every call is no one.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Connor Zilich would definitely get himself killed if he ever tried to celebrate like Carson Hosevar. Yeah, he has a hard enough time climbing out. We don't let him dry on anything. man i'm watching the spring sizzler at stafford on flow and they're talking about the bar and of course freddy craft is in the fucking video i get a text weekly because i they they shot a video there's a bar there's really cool bar i wish i could remember the name of it right now but uh it's right off a turn forward stafford you just like walk up to the rail and watch the races while you're in there drinking and uh we were there for the srx race like i don't know two or three years ago and uh just hanging out bullshit and then whatever. I don't know anything of her. Like the next week, somebody texts me like,
Starting point is 01:03:54 are you Stafford? I was like, no. What are you talking about? And they're like, I see you on video. And I'm like, I don't know what you're talking about. I come to realize like they do an ad for the bar and I'm in it. So everybody thinks every Friday night. I'm at Saturday. Every week. I'm going to text on Friday. It's like, you're here. Right. I'm like, yeah, here I am. I'm out there. Come hang out. We're in Sonoma. You're just out of Saturday night. Is that Stanford Friday night. I'll be there be there Saturday. Yeah. You can find me there every Friday night. Just a watch on Flood. Chris Busher fan here.
Starting point is 01:04:23 Just wanted to ask you, Blaney fans, what kind of toasters do you guys recommend? Because I don't know how many more second-place finishes I can handle at this point. I don't think anybody's going to feel bad if you finish in second. The Blaney fans are toastering themselves on 34th place finishes. Bush, I know he has a couple close calls. What I will say for Busher is he had no shot yesterday. When you look at the lineup there,
Starting point is 01:04:46 when he's just surrounded by Chevys, I don't care what you think was going to happen. And Ricky's only option, Ricky was trying to push for the first two laps or green white checker there. He's going to, Ricky's only move is to push Busher clear to where he can get down in front of Carson and hope Carson pushes him by Rick, by Chris. But once they come off a four, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think there's any way the 47 is going to push the 17 past the 77 to win the race. And then the chase kind of splits the lanes up anyway. And Ricky doesn't have to get in that position. But I just think Busher had no shot yesterday coming down to the end of their race.
Starting point is 01:05:20 if you're in the top lane coming to the end it's hard because the second lane everybody's splitting you yeah everybody starts fanning out so just kills that I thought that when I saw because Busher was leading if you're leading on a green white check or choose are you taking the bottom I mean because I when I saw him take the top I you know we all talk about ultimately depends on who's behind you I think and it was going to be Ricky probably I'm sure they had it worked out which Ricky's a great pusher in these places but again like like you guys said like I know I'm not going to get a lot of help so I'm going to
Starting point is 01:05:49 probably take the bottom because at least my kind of help is kind of forced behind me down there. They're kind of boxed and they don't have anywhere to go. I still don't know that a Chevy was going to push a forward to the wind, but it's, I felt like poor Chris was in a no-win situation yesterday. I think this guy was a little confused. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Great fucking job, TJ. You caused the big fucking one. Good job, dumbass. I agree. Fuck you, TJ. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, if he's talking to me, I mean to speak for himself. Spot on on that. Spot on.
Starting point is 01:06:21 Yeah. Two more. If NASCAR, what the fuck was I going to say? I'm so fucking stone. If no ass car, oh. Is that it?
Starting point is 01:06:41 That was the whole call. He never called back. He couldn't dial the phone. He couldn't remember what he was going to say. That's good. Chase, this is why you don't do this shit. You just keep on the straight and narrow like you are. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Hey, Mr. Hostafar, I just want to say thank you because my girl is going to ride the fucking dente later. Hell yeah. Is that you have to buy her, girl? At least host of ours making it out for people making it happen. Oh, man, that was pretty good. Was that the last one? Yeah, last one.
Starting point is 01:07:18 I was disappointed. I figured I thought I was going to get it. get a little more hate there, but. No. You get... I'm sure there's probably plenty you had a weed out of there. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:26 Well, it didn't pass the filter. Yeah, I can't imagine. There's a filter? Yeah, well, a little bit. Believe it or not. Believe it or not. Believe it or not. Believe it or not.
Starting point is 01:07:35 How many calls did you get? It was over 200. Holy shit. Dude, and probably a hundred of them were just like, Freddie, you suck. It's just, yeah. It was just garbage. I mean, I understand.
Starting point is 01:07:48 I like it, though. We'll start calling in. Yeah. We should. That's what every guest said. Blaney's been saying, I don't, he may have. He said, I call in, I'm going to call in and just not say anything for, he's been saying for two years.
Starting point is 01:07:58 I don't know if he hasn't, but. That was him. That was it. For God what he was going to say. It was a couple of years ago. Somebody called in. I can't remember what driver. It sounded literally identical to him.
Starting point is 01:08:11 I don't remember. I mean, I remember, like, we were like, is that so-and-so? And it was, it was, it might as, we never heard officially if it was anybody or not. We've never, never been told. after the fact that somebody has called in or not, I think they're just trying to remain anonymous for the next call. But it's, man, it's my favorite part of the show, honestly. To leave an audio message 24-7, you can call our number at 704-802-9-572,
Starting point is 01:08:33 and we'll play the best ones each week on the show. What was that number one more time? Write it down. 704-802-9572. Hey, everybody, this is Dale Jr. And for the latest DBC gear, go to shop. Dot Dirtymo Media.com. We've added some new shirts.
Starting point is 01:08:48 There's one called Win or lose. We're drinking booze. Everything seems to be about drinking here at Dirty Mo Media. Go check it out now. So our anthem singer from Saturday wasn't able to make it on Sunday. And within like a two hours notice, we needed to find somebody. And lo and behold, Luke, he volunteered himself. And I believe that Doug Barnes paid him $100 for doing it.
Starting point is 01:09:25 He's reading the lyrics. I was reading the lyrics by the way. Yeah. I can tell that. I'm like, car. So how long did he practice? So about an hour before the opening ceremonies he came to me and he's like, dude, I'm nervous. I'm like, I'm shitting bricks.
Starting point is 01:10:05 I'm nervous. And I was like, well, do you want to like practice? I was like, I'll run through it with. Like, go sit in the trailer. And he's like, no, I need a quiet space that's far away from everybody so that I can just sing it and like really see what I sound like. And I'm like, okay, well, do you want the keys to the car store truck? So he goes down to turn three, gets in the car store truck. And for like 10, 15 minutes, is just sitting there, belting.
Starting point is 01:10:25 the national anthem by himself in my truck in the middle of three and four warming up. So, what a goofball. I think he made a... I don't know what will. Yeah, that was really, that was inspiring. I couldn't believe he made it through without busting out laughing.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Like Doug Barnes and all of them were standing there. There's like a couple in the background that they're just laughing their ass off the whole time. He had a whole entourage of people watching. I couldn't believe he did. Oh, way to go, Freddie. I thought we were going to flip.
Starting point is 01:10:53 I still don't know who I hit in this. Me neither. The big one. They're like, what does it look like? I go, it looks like smoke and we're on the grass and I can't see us anymore. Because once they get to there. Did the amount of skin marks and turn three wild. Crazy.
Starting point is 01:11:06 Yeah, once they get below the like the yellow line, we can't see him from the spotter stand anymore. So they're like, what do you got? I'm like, I have no idea. I said, Bub, what do you got? And I saw I'm walking around. He said, I'll see you in Texas. Oh, yeah, you. It did look like you were going to flip a little over.
Starting point is 01:11:19 If we got hitting a door right there, we were going to go over. But yeah, that's just. All right. What are you do in those situations? Where were you guys? We were... I was in the very back. You were trying to get a fast lap.
Starting point is 01:11:28 I was locked him down. That was Gucci, dude. I thought I was good. I started downshift and wowing up. And like an idiot, I can't see you, right? So I just turned left. And so I didn't even think at the time,
Starting point is 01:11:40 but all those people are obviously going to come sliding down. I'm like kind of sideways trying to slow up and then, yeah, a caoed somebody. Not ideal. Blame Bubba. Violent flip at Springfield Race. Oh my gosh. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 01:11:54 One of these flipped? Oh, my. Oh, no. Whoa. I think dug in pretty hard there. He's brow rolling. It looked like the guy's wheel just came off. The driver was okay.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Where is that? Springfield. Springfield, you can see this on flow, apparently. Oh, did the wheel come off? Yeah. Oh, that's what it was. Damn. That hurt.
Starting point is 01:12:14 He was okay. Yeah, never, never, yeah. Yeah, no reports. No reports. I assume he's okay. What else we got? Was this the one that you guys say, This was an impeding penalty.
Starting point is 01:12:28 This was just an Allgaar leaving pit road. This is so funny. He wipes him out so hard. Poor guys had to have the brightest shirts on, too. So just to make sure the whole field could see him. Come on down. You're good. Oh.
Starting point is 01:12:45 Oh, guy in the orange stayed on. The guy in the orange. Oh, what to say. He was almost through. The guy in the pig's the second one up. Oh, man. If you guys haven't seen this video, I've retweeted it. It is so funny.
Starting point is 01:12:56 It's so funny. That was, what a... Oh, man, that was tough. Oh, I saw this. Come on. That's Casagrante. They're telling off of there. That's not real.
Starting point is 01:13:06 Oh, yeah. They double-hook them, but that's not the best part. That's what we do this all the time up north. But watch the tow truck. Watch the back tow truck. That's impressive to be able to drive that back. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:13:17 Did it hit some? That cracked his back for sure. Oh, hit the wall. He hit the pit wall, like the inside pit wall. They were going behind the wall. Why are they going 25 hours an hour? I know. They've done a lot slower.
Starting point is 01:13:28 We got tow trucks up there. You know, we go to races down here. Everything's slow. Oh, we don't mess around up there. We can. How about the guy driving the front? Look at the mirror. Like, what does that?
Starting point is 01:13:39 Why can't they just tow it? Because I'm sure that maybe the rear end was locked up. I don't know. I want to take out of that gear. But like we do that like with the modifies a lot, you see that double hook because the thing gets torn up so bad just sitting on the ground. But yeah, it's fun. But yeah, good job.
Starting point is 01:13:53 Poor Casa Gronde. I have to find out of caution. Oh, I see this guy left pit road. is right rear tire. What happened here? I didn't see this one. I heard about it. He was just leaving pit road and blew a right rear
Starting point is 01:14:04 and pounded the fence under yellow. I dare, boom. That's really not his fault. That's not a shit show. That's a poor guy just bad luck for him. It was a shit show for him. Charlotte Top Golf. What happened at the Charlotte?
Starting point is 01:14:18 Wait, was this at Charlotte? This is Charlotte? Wait, what? This was right down the street. No way. No way. I saw this. Someone drove on the?
Starting point is 01:14:25 Yes, and he goes, yeah. What? I didn't realize this was a charlotte. This dude's cutting into my time. He's cut into my time here. I was so when he drove into one of the big holes. Is he lost? No, he was hammered.
Starting point is 01:14:38 Hampered? Was he? Does he come back towards the front again? How does he get in? He just drives up here. How did he get in there? Like, did he just drive through the net? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:51 The magic could be in drunk, I think you could drive through the, the net doesn't go through the front, right? Like you can obviously. Yeah, but you got to go through the building. You know, he's like, how the hell? How do I get out of this parking lot? How do they put... I want to park over there.
Starting point is 01:15:01 How do they get over there? Giant ass pot holes. Could you imagine if you just drove into one of the holes? That's what I was thinking right here. Is there a hole right there? Yeah, looks like it gets out right there. I'd be trying to hit that car. I know.
Starting point is 01:15:16 With the golf balls, yeah. Yeah. I do that to the golf cars. I didn't realize that was Charlotte. That's crazy. Speaking of shit shows, there was a, you guys shared a sponsor. And maybe, maybe my favorite sponsor. sponsor in the sport.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Rusty. Hey, hey, here's a deal. Is he not, I don't know, it's hard to say the best, is he not the craziest sponsor? Yeah, he's the best to be in all of that. He's the best. There is nobody like Rusty. I got to go here on Tuesday. I got to report me on Wednesday.
Starting point is 01:15:45 And I go go see your dumbass and that's on Thursday. And I got meeting on Friday. And I go, we got dinner to you. It's only funny if you know Rusty's like. That was exactly what Rusty sounds like. This guy, no matter where he goes,
Starting point is 01:16:01 we talked about it here before when Brad was here. But it's, it's, wherever he shows up, there's a case of her, there are tequila involved. 300 cases a year. They bring it to his place. The truck delivers. It's unbelievable.
Starting point is 01:16:15 He's the man. He'll be there this weekend. Yeah. He's got like 150 people. This is home race for him, right? Yeah. Yeah. He's San Antonio, just outside San Antonio.
Starting point is 01:16:27 but Texas is really big for them. I'm assuming they're on the car? Yes, yes. There was one other thing I saw. You probably saw it. Port Royal. This guy, Nick, I'm going to butcher his last name, Swigert, Swigert. He wins the race.
Starting point is 01:16:41 He dropped a couple of F bombs in Victoria Lane. They threw him out for a year. That's a little aggressive. That seems excessive. A whole year. Yeah, whole year. Especially in a place up there. Where is this at?
Starting point is 01:16:54 It was Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Sprint car track. I feel like you don't want to push guys away in Pennsylvania like there's a hundred other racetracks you can go race that up there I was kind of surprised that they banned him for a year Yeah I figured like I was like I mean they took the win away No way
Starting point is 01:17:09 And then they banned him for the year Just for saying fuck Yeah maybe he said it a couple times But still like Damn they'd be pissed if Marshall Lynch went up there That seemed a little excessive Wild Yeah Baldwin
Starting point is 01:17:22 Big one The bike race for sure And probably the top golf guy, I think, have to make... Top golf guy for me. Yeah, 100%. That's something you just don't see every day. You don't. The fact that it was in Charlotte just makes it that much more.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Even better. You can check out those nominees... Uh-huh. Nomadies. The old nominees. Nuts. You can check out these nominees in the YouTube description. And do not forget to vote in our poll on DirtyEmo Media's X profile.
Starting point is 01:17:50 Also, I don't know if this falls under shit show or might could undo his current shit show. but RCR just announced a crew chief change for the eight. Really? Already. It's going to be Andy Street. And Jim Pullman is transitioning to a leadership role within the competition department. Nobody at RCR ever gets fired. They just transition to another role.
Starting point is 01:18:15 They just go to another role in the company. Not hard to believe. That didn't seem like a match that was made in heaven all year this year. It wasn't going well on the radio, at least. so I don't know behind the scenes of such but did Andy do some last year too when Randall
Starting point is 01:18:29 Andy yeah he was he was he was the 21 crew chief right yeah and I don't know why you're asking he always crew chief Austin
Starting point is 01:18:38 but I thought last year whatever when Randall left or he didn't he fill in there and I remember his name but I feel like he wouldn't have been able to because I think he was Austin's crew chief all year right I don't remember
Starting point is 01:18:49 I'd have to somebody filled in somebody definitely filled in but yeah Yeah, that's that. Okay. I think people are going to be very surprised to hear the answer to this first question. What? Question.
Starting point is 01:19:09 Yeah. Okay. Ask DBC. These are questions submitted by our fans. So sorry in advance. First one is for Noah. How many pickle beers did you consume after the weekend was over? I didn't drink anything this weekend.
Starting point is 01:19:23 I think that's what I think. People always tell me that I saw no, he's out there. Yeah. Everyone's like, oh, you're hammered out there. on the boulevard. I haven't drank since December 29th. I got a bet with Terry Jones that we're not drinking right now. Like people probably just.
Starting point is 01:19:38 Or you're not allowed to drink. Yeah, I didn't drink anything. And like, this lady came up to me and she's like, oh, you were hammered out there on the boulevard. I saw you last night. You look so hungover this morning. And I'm like, that's just me. Yeah, like, no, just fun in general.
Starting point is 01:19:54 I will say Saturday morning, you must have just not have much sleep. That's why I texted you. What'd you say? I was like, Art, did you keep the streak alive. Oh.
Starting point is 01:20:04 I did, somebody said the same thing about Saturday. Like, I saw Noah this morning. He must have been happening. He must have been out late. I was like,
Starting point is 01:20:09 no, it just looks like shit on Saturday, I guess. Yeah. I just said to him, I said, last I do it. Guess what?
Starting point is 01:20:16 I went to a crawfish boil in the infield. Have you guys had crawfish boils before? Yeah. I have not. I know you haven't because you're, you're picky.
Starting point is 01:20:24 I'm too nervous to do that. It is really really good. I did a couple times, but I just, it's, It's a lot of work. It is. But you get everybody around a table, you're talking, you're having fun.
Starting point is 01:20:35 It was a good time. Nice. You should try it. I might have to. Chase is a very picky eater. There's no chance you're trying. Hey, I do have a picture of Chase eating salad this year at Rusty's Ranch. So that was really cool.
Starting point is 01:20:47 That's a big step. No, that actually was a huge step. Chase, did you teach Brooks to wreck Noah in NASCAR 25? Yeah, what the fuck is that? Is that just in his DNA? Teddy always does. Literally. I mean, drove through you, Pile drove you.
Starting point is 01:21:01 Dude, he's the biggest trash talker. I know is Brooks. He'll come up to me. He does talk trash. You're going to wreck again this week? He's been giving him crap about the hand thing at Daytona. Yeah, for two years. Literally, he'll walk up to Noah.
Starting point is 01:21:13 You got to keep both hands on the wheel today? Oh. Like, I'm trying to teach him how to do spider webs. Yeah. So he's walking around, flipping everybody off. That's incredible. I feel like. She was
Starting point is 01:21:28 Uncle Noah's got me in trouble a couple times. What was it? North Wilkesboro? He had like three packs of Skittles
Starting point is 01:21:37 in one side, four Hershey bars in the other ice cream in his hand like anytime he goes to Funcle Noah. Yeah, that's the job.
Starting point is 01:21:46 That's the job. Noah, if you could pick three people to be in your dream golf line, like team, who would it be
Starting point is 01:21:53 and where would you play? Hmm. I would pick I would pick Chase. We golf quite a bit. Oh man, I made the cut. Literally made the cut. I would take Min Wu.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Lee, he's pretty fun guy to golf with. And then my third. I like fast. I like fast. Or yeah, my fourth. I would, I like fast-paced golf. So somebody who's fast,
Starting point is 01:22:20 like I hate playing slow and I hate waiting behind somebody. So I would say, The problem is you're slow as other people's like hauling ass. Yeah, go faster. Go faster. Chase and I play quite a bit. Who else do we play with?
Starting point is 01:22:36 Do we ever? We played with Ricky, Todd. Nope. None of that made the cut. Ricky's okay to put us. He's good, though. He's good. He just, he gets kind of annoying because he's like, like, we're just out there having fun.
Starting point is 01:22:48 And he's like. He's like, take it too seriously. Like, you barely teed up in front of the deal. And you're like, we're not even like playing for anything. Oh, that's the first. down first down you need to move it back and it's like it's not that deep bro it's really not that what's that swindale we play with him every now and then i've never played with him i thought we you played it uh not at your country club i thought you came on there no cole's good too though we'll
Starting point is 01:23:14 put cole on there let's put cole on there yeah he played with drake made the other day big right yeah yeah all right uh chase what is the secret to catching hogs tanks and lunkers while fishing with Brooks. It's all about where you're fishing. Yeah, if you're fishing at Johnny's place, you're going to catch them. Yeah. No kidding. Yeah. It really just spins on where you're going. So true. Did you, you went fishing
Starting point is 01:23:38 in Talladega? Did you catch anything? We caught one. And so the guys run it like a pond. They didn't rent it. They knew some guy had a pontoon. So we all went out to one of the lakes there. They fish for 10 hours and caught one. And I caught one the hour I was there. 10 hours. Yeah. So it seems like a lot. It's all about where you're fishing.
Starting point is 01:23:56 that. I like catching. I'm not a huge fisherman. You like catching. Hey, speaking of Texas this weekend, waxing crescents, so be ready.
Starting point is 01:24:06 Ooh, it's going to be gripped up. Dang. I don't know what you're talking about. How do you not know about this? You don't know. Waxon crescent moon. They don't.
Starting point is 01:24:16 Gravitational pool will be different this week of Texas. It'll be ripped up. Wide open and qualifying easily. Absolutely. These two idiots. Is this like astrology? I'm sure.
Starting point is 01:24:25 It's legit. I know. It's the gravitational pull. Call him up. Call him on speaker. Call him. There's no chance. Call Bubba.
Starting point is 01:24:34 Call him. Call Riley. He knows about it. I'll call Riley right now. Call Riley. Riley, speaking of guys that had tough days, Riley did not have a good day yesterday. Spend twice.
Starting point is 01:24:44 Pass somebody below the line. Hey. Hold them up to the screen. I'm on, I'm on door bumper clear right now with Briscoe. And we're explaining how it's going to be waxing crescent this weekend what what does that mean uh just that the track's got a lot of grit see see every everyone knows about it i'll call dude i'll call everybody knows about it he's
Starting point is 01:25:05 i'll call my whole contact list it's actually gonna be a waxing crescent yeah it's this weekend we're gonna be like so wide open and three and four qualifying one and two because what no it's waxing this week oh dang it might be wide open and qualifying all the way around what the fuck you've never heard about that there's your whole time racing for me i've never heard about that whole life of racing i've I'll call more guys right now. I believe you. Yeah. Watch.
Starting point is 01:25:30 All right, Riley. Thank you. Okay, later. I'll call Josh Barry. How long do you think we can do this? Let's call the whole cup here. Let's chase this for like five minutes. I love it.
Starting point is 01:25:48 Hey, I'm on door bumper clear right now. I got you on speaker. It's a waxing crescent this weekend. I'm here with Briscoe. It's a waxing crescent. What's the track going to be like? We'll move. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:26:01 It's probably going to have a little extra grip. See, dude, I'm telling you, Freddie. I'm telling you. Freddy doesn't believe us. I just called Riley, too. Everybody, dude, everybody knows about that. Thank you, Josh. I appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:26:14 He said it's going to have, Riley agrees with me. It's going to have a little extra grip. Yeah, Riley says it's going to be gripped up. We might be wide open and qualifying. I can't believe you haven't heard about that, Freddie. I have never heard about it.
Starting point is 01:26:23 Sorry. You should read your email as more. I need to get back on the house. Yeah, it's on the weather report. It's on the weather report. The analytics meeting. is tomorrow. 2311 doesn't do the weather report?
Starting point is 01:26:31 No, really? No. All right. I'll call more people. Another one or no? Oh, yeah. Are you just calling everybody that's in one group chat that has this running joke about the waxing? Who else would, should I call?
Starting point is 01:26:48 Uh, trying to think. Called Denny Hamlin. The Dillans. They don't. Yeah, I don't have, uh, I'll see. I'll call Austin. I don't have ties ties to. Call Boswell.
Starting point is 01:26:56 He's a crew chief. He'll know about it. Yeah, Boswell knows. I would believe Boswell, if Bob's well, Bob's well said it. I'll call Bob'swell after Austin and Dillon. Hopefully Austin knows about it. If Austin doesn't know, he's not doing his homework.
Starting point is 01:27:09 He's probably studying right now, actually. That's why he's not answering. He's probably like, why the hell is no calling me? 11.08. Do you think Kyle Bush knows? Is that what they've been missing? Could be. Yeah, Jim Pullman's going to become astrologer.
Starting point is 01:27:26 Call Boswell. I call Boswell. is such a disaster. Hopefully he's not in his debrief. They're in the debrief together. Why the fuck is Noah calling both of us? What did we do? Do you know what time their debrief is?
Starting point is 01:27:43 It's probably 11 o'clock on Monday. It's going to be so annoying when they call you back and you don't care anymore. Everybody knows about the waxing question. Yeah, well, not everybody. I missed it. All right. All right. Let's move on.
Starting point is 01:28:03 I cannot believe you've never heard of that. I'm ashamed of myself. honestly read up on it tonight no like watch SMT like pull up s&T last year and then pull up smith this year richmond marriage two years ago dude you're so gricked up I hate both you idiots no it was come on next let's go DVC picks uh I won this week you guys made fun of me for picking host ofar but I I won't make funny you're picking host of her I made fun of him at that we probably won't even have to downshift it all this weekend not honestly probably not who picks
Starting point is 01:28:33 um okay I know what you're picking off at Tom Tommy's list. We'll let you make Tommy's back. I figured that's nice. I already know who I want. Okay, so you go first. A.D.'s got... He rips. Waxing. Waxing. Austin is very fast, but give me Ty Gibbs.
Starting point is 01:28:51 Ty Gibbs. Ty Gibbs on Tommy's. Okay. Who's next? Do you guess? Yes. So, Chase. Oh, I'm up. You can only pick them one time during the season. Everybody that's grayed out you can't take. Hmm.
Starting point is 01:29:08 Let's go. Just everyone take Gibbs this week. Everybody. I already used them. I'm gonna... Did you guys are fucked the second half of the year because... Yeah, y'all are using the... Well, we could...
Starting point is 01:29:20 You reset at the... At the start... That's case. Okay, honestly, honestly, you want a sleeper pick? I'm gonna go Bubba. No, go Jones. You get rid of a good guy, and he runs pretty good there. Yeah, he does run good there.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Yeah. If you're trying to manage for the guest. I was gonna... I don't care. I'm not gonna be on the next video. Yeah, he picked a win. Bush or Bubba? I'm trying to think.
Starting point is 01:29:42 Or Chase Elliott. Let's go Chase Elliott. I will take Boucher, actually. I'll take E.J. Eric Jones. Yeah, that was fun. I did see Reddick got extended yesterday.
Starting point is 01:29:58 That's a little bit of news. I think that's not really a surprise to anybody. Reddick got extended? Yeah. He needed it. He's a little short, so he's just. Jeez. but the
Starting point is 01:30:07 Dale Jr. knows about the waxing crescent. That's fucking idiots. What else we got? We can't Richmond at night. You would think so. He was really good there. I wonder. You should title this episode,
Starting point is 01:30:20 waxing crescent. Oh, we have to now. You see anybody that won this weekend. It's so much more grip. It's weekend winners. Okay. It's like 10% more grit.
Starting point is 01:30:30 It's really is. 8 to 12 for sure. Caden, Anika, Landon, Landon Lewis. One to Cars races. Cars races. David Gravel. Is cars tour on this weekend?
Starting point is 01:30:40 Next weekend. Ace. Oh, they're off this weekend. That's a waning. Did you see any? Did you see any? How about, you see anybody win this week, Chase, did you want to shout out? I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:30:51 There's plenty of dirt racing in the world. I saw Jacob Denny won both. Kyle Cummins. Robert. I don't know. Did Grant won? Grant won the first night. Denny came from the back.
Starting point is 01:31:04 Yep. I think you got to like third. or fourth. Yeah, I don't. You find yourself watching more asphalt or dirt when you're not. I don't watch any asphalt racing. Yeah, I figured that.
Starting point is 01:31:15 Danny Bone won the Smart Tour race at Wake County. Does it have any effect on dirt racing or no? The track will be different. The dirt. Does how the water seeps in because of the gravity? So it's a little bit different. He's cracking me up. Why are you laughing?
Starting point is 01:31:31 I am. Brandon Shepard dominated the race in Hagerstown. Does that mean it's heavy? No. Shut the fuck. Yeah. The dust particles, how they fall, too. So it's really different for the fan experience as well.
Starting point is 01:31:44 Yeah, you don't get covered in dust. Oh, God. Like, world finals, for whatever reason, always falls on the wrong mood. These two are never coming back ever again, by the way. Why? We haven't even like. Yeah, we've been good. Well, not together.
Starting point is 01:31:58 Not together. We are on our best behavior. We are on our best behavior. You get a star after this? Yeah. Yeah, Caskey won you to Corrome. By the way, all this stuff was on Flo, Carson. FlowSports.com slash door bumper clear to sign up and get 15% off.
Starting point is 01:32:12 Let's talk about DAPS standings. Hold on a second. Ronnie Williams won the Sizzler at Stafford. Really good race between him, Austin Beers, and Tyler Chapman. Todd Owen won the SK race. Chris Bofone, Jeremy Sorrell won races up there. Chris Matthews, Ryan Waterman, Jason Lafayette won their features at the Sizzler. Obviously, wearing Stafford.
Starting point is 01:32:30 I was at the bar. Allegedly. I did see. I hadn't get a chance to go through. the whole list yet so let's pull this up and see people send me in their weekend winners while you guys talk about moons um shepherd one we talked about that
Starting point is 01:32:43 cars to her west brad sweet in the silver car yeah did he win who won the first night gravel one saturday night um let's see uh lee usa gay brown won the ac t race brandon barker won the past race reed reno won the past mods
Starting point is 01:32:59 and j kelly won i saw our buddy from a couple weeks ago won the purestock race again they said he's won like eight grand I can't remember his name. I have to find it in this list somewhere. Hosevar. Obviously, shout out to all the winners from the weekend. Andy J. Hosevar and Corey Day. Let's see.
Starting point is 01:33:15 What was up with the Huffman? You could talk about that while I looked at this list. I saw Landon Huffman was fighting with Landon Huffman this week. It was pretty interesting. Yeah. Donovan, one of our other late model stock drivers, posted a video of the 77 of Landon S. Huffman rooting his way through the field on Saturday. And the clown music behind it.
Starting point is 01:33:33 On a few different occasions with clown music. behind it and then he came back this morning and said something about once you guys can keep up with your teammates you can worry about me or some shit like that the Landon Huffman's are fighting is that the Landon Huffman so Landon Huffman is Robert Huffman's kid the one that's kind of vocal on social media all the time dude that guy bitches about everything what is that guy's problem wait there's two Lannon Huffman yes then there's Lannon S. Huffman
Starting point is 01:34:00 which is Shane Huffman's son and then there's one that just bitches all the time and just has a problem with literally everyone. And he just complains about, oh, this guy wreck me. But it's always like, he never takes any accountability. Wasn't one of them on the Dodge Show? Yeah, that was that was the regular. That was
Starting point is 01:34:18 the complainer. That was the complainer. You have to go one and the complainer. I know Landon. I know Landon. I know Landon. So the other one is Shane Huffman's son. Landon, Shane. Which they're all from Hickory and have the same name. Yeah, they're all from freaking Claremont. They all could be really.
Starting point is 01:34:33 Anyway, also, why does the older land? And then Huffman. Why does he complain all the time and never take accountability? That's the way he is, I guess. I don't know. He definitely is vocal. I'll give him that. But, hey, listen, sometimes he does pretty good numbers on YouTube, so it's fine. He does.
Starting point is 01:34:46 Austin Hull won the Super Late Model race at Berlin. Carter Patterson won his first weekly race at Willa Met Speedway. Let's see. Shocked, you haven't mentioned. Ken Roxon. I was going to bring that up. Ken Roxon, he's on a tear here lately. He's been doing good.
Starting point is 01:35:03 So he's got to do better. Super Cros. you know. Who else we got here? I know I saw. Majesky won again. We're at. Slinger.
Starting point is 01:35:14 Hard to believe that. Was it a big slinger? No, I sent a tweet out yesterday. That was like people sent me winners. It was a U-A-R-A-R-E-R-A-R-A-R-A-R-E-Bah. Bubba, easy for taking out 26 cars weekend winter. That's good.
Starting point is 01:35:31 Help your odds to win if you can take out 26 of them. I know. I told Slugger when I got on the plane I said at least I tried to... 22 of them still kept running I was at 26. I did my best. Yeah, anyway, it keeps sending those in.
Starting point is 01:35:44 I'm sure I did. Hard eight. Are we hitting hard eight this week? Does Dalli Parton sleep on her back? Period. Do you relate to that? I remember I said that on one of the first episodes. I do remember that.
Starting point is 01:35:59 And then no one, they were like, we never heard that before. They never heard it all the time. I say it all the time. All the time. Me too. Yeah. Shout out to my buddies at Wall Stadium.
Starting point is 01:36:11 Just redid the whole racetrack. Unfortunately, got rained out yesterday. They're opening their season this Saturday. If you get a chance to go out there, Jimmy Bleu and his team over there, done a lot of time and effort into the racetrack to clean it up a little bit and hoping they get a good turnout over there.
Starting point is 01:36:23 What the hell you guys got going on this week? Just comp meetings and getting ready for Texas, I assume, for you? Yeah. Try to figure out what our setup needs for the moon phase. It would be a little bit different. Moon phase. Same thing over there with you
Starting point is 01:36:36 Is this live? No, it's not live How are people already tweeting this? Somebody probably took a picture of you. Oh, okay. The room has been bugged. We have the same people
Starting point is 01:36:49 Code white. Code white. We have the same people that work for Gibbs. They snatched some pictures when we need them to. Big win this weekend. Yeah. So what do you get going on
Starting point is 01:37:03 this week? Anything fun? Just this week? Yeah, just work as usual. We got meetings today. Work out. Hello? Come on in. Yay, it's Kelly. I just want you to stay Wyatt. Oh, and Wyatt.
Starting point is 01:37:17 Big dog. How are we? Hey, buddy. How are you guys? How are you? I finished yet. My gosh. Y'all have... Believe or not, I can't get one of them to shut up.
Starting point is 01:37:31 Why? You'll never guess which one. Why are you racing this weekend? What? Where are you racing this weekend? Oh, dude. You're not going to be able to fly as high. Yeah, the jumps won't be.
Starting point is 01:37:43 Yeah, the jumps won't be. It's a waxing crescent. Have you ever heard of a waxing crescent moon? You're going to learn one day. Do not. If there's anybody not to learn from? See, okay, when you jump, see if you jump, see if, like, your truck is lower to the ground when you go over the jumps this weekend. See if it, like, when you go up the face of the jump, see if it bottoms out more.
Starting point is 01:38:05 Gravitational pole. Yeah. with the wax and crescent. What the fuck? He knows about it too? Yeah, it's a thing. Everybody knows. Waxing crescent,
Starting point is 01:38:11 there's more grip in the racetrack. He knows all the moon phases. Yeah. Yeah, see? That's the thing. I told you. You thought we were messing with you guys this whole time. I knew it was a moon phase.
Starting point is 01:38:21 I never, never related it to racing in anyway. Yeah. You got to get to ride. It's a little bit higher. Oh, yeah. Yeah. No, never.
Starting point is 01:38:30 Yeah, it's gripped up. It's gripped up. Like, super gripped up. I remember back in those modified races thinking, holy shit we're going to be fast today because I'm out of the moon's full idiots you probably weren't or maybe were you not fast I don't know I'd have to do that other guys just adjust to better for the moon that's why family anyway
Starting point is 01:38:48 normal week for you Carson what are you doing this week nothing nothing I'm not doing anything we're all going racing this week let's check the calendar uh all right big uh big birthday on Thursday Rusty Rush's birthday is birthday happy birthday birthday birthday So Rusty says he's going to live to be as old as Moses. And he can tell you down to the exact minute. He can tell you how many like Daisy has left.
Starting point is 01:39:13 So right now it's like 53 years. Oh, Austin Dillon's call me. Hey, I got you on door bumper clear right now on speaker. The Waxon Crescent Moonface. What does that do to the track? I'm here with Briscoe. Well, that's why I haven't been very successful. If I could figure out the Waxing Crescent,
Starting point is 01:39:43 my success rate and road courses would go way up. Yeah, what does it do to the track? To the tires. Like I said, it's been very difficult me to figure out, but it does what it does. It just does what it does. Are you with Boswell? I'm not with Boswell. I truthfully thought you were calling me to wish me happy birthday.
Starting point is 01:40:11 Is it your birthday today? I'm disappointed. Yeah. Happy birthday. Big birthday for Austin. that's why I thought. I was like, man, no one's really being thought about a day. How old are you today?
Starting point is 01:40:24 You only turned 40 once. How old are you? I'm 36. You're 36? That's it? I'm 36, no. I thought he was like in his 40s or something. It was 40s.
Starting point is 01:40:36 Jesus. Oh, well, happy birthday. Everybody send, send birthday shows. Post your Venmo. We'll say.
Starting point is 01:40:45 Yeah, post your Vemmo. Put it on the back of your truck. All right. Oh, God. We'll see you soon. I'm sweating bullets. We had to get out of here. I got to get out of this room.
Starting point is 01:40:54 You're sweating? Yes. So, fucking hot. Does your arm get heavier during the waxing press? Oh, my God. All right,
Starting point is 01:41:00 we're done. Bye. What? Chase, Noah. Oh, we were talking about Rusty. Oh, Rusty's got 53. So it would be like, yeah, I got 53 years.
Starting point is 01:41:10 One month, 12 days. Seven hours. 11 late year days. And then, um, Man, there's going to be this big solar eclipse that's coming over my house down in San Padre. And so I asked the Lord for 13 extra days. And he hasn't gotten back to me yet, but I'm going to live to be 120.
Starting point is 01:41:33 Oh, my goodness. Well, happy birthday, Austin. Happy birthday, Rusty. And we will leave on that note. Thank you two idiots for coming in here. And if we ever do this again, back to Greenville Piggins. Yeah, come back to the green from it. We're out.
