Episode Date: June 30, 2025Blaney is back! DBC returns from Echo Park Speedway in Atlanta and welcomes back NASCAR Champion Ryan Blaney for his second appearance on the show this season. A lot went down in Atlanta, and the grou...p covers it all. In Spot On/Spot Off, they discuss Ty Dillon calling out Hamlin fans saying “I beat your favorite driver,” Alex Bowman saying the leader was “a sitting duck,” whether or not Atlanta should move to the regular season finale, difficult spotter locations in Chicago, and why Ryan Blaney “owes one” to Carson Hocevar. Plus, both Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney fans call in to Reaction Theatre, where you can probably guess what they had to say… It’s an entertaining show that you won’t want to miss. The following is a production of Dirty Mode Media.
Called me Frat Freddy the other day in a group tech.
Or he just misspelled fat.
Either way, he can kiss my ass.
Let's fight.
Let's get it over with.
Let's knock each other out and let's move on.
I think he's a whiny.
That's what I think.
Next thing you know, I got no fire suit on.
Routy Nation fans are getting lucky tonight.
You want to have gimmicks.
Let's go all out.
I would never, and here they come, never and like they never have before.
Right enough, you love them.
Hey, what's up everybody?
Welcome to Door Bumper Clear.
I'm Freddie Craft Spotter for Bubba Wallace and Dean Thompson this week.
Hi, Tom.
I was going to say something about Atlanta, but I'll wait.
What's happening?
How's it going?
Good.
How was your weekend?
I know you got back late last night.
No, 7.30 this morning.
Oh, this morning?
Yeah, drove all night.
We're ready to rock.
New Hampshire, right?
White Mountain.
Beautiful racetrack, man.
White Mountain Motorsport Park is a unbelievable racetrack.
Awesome.
Awesome race.
Carson.
Got to be a race fan this weekend.
I'm coming off of a chill one.
We raced caraway this Wednesday.
Where'd you go, South Boston?
Yeah, South Boston.
Thunder Road, Harley-Davidson 200.
There was a lot of cars for guys running,
so we started a little thing last year
where we go tailgate and do the whole nine.
So that's what we did.
You're kind of like a big supporter.
You go to support the kids.
You go to birthday parties.
You go to graduation parties.
I mean, you do it all, don't you?
Ante Carson.
Ante.
Maybe they were right in calling me that.
I'm supportive. What can I say?
And returning guests, our first returning guest of the year.
Can't believe it.
I'm the first returning one.
You are the first returning guest of the year.
I knew you were pretty desperate when he texted me.
Yeah, it was getting to the bottom of the barrel.
I was like, we got nobody left.
We got to call Ryan.
Run through the list again.
Ryan, Francis Blaney.
Welcome to deliver on the square.
What is that?
Yeah.
I don't know.
I saw that earlier.
I just took a guess.
He's gross.
Francis.
Is that not your middle name?
No.
You think my dad would have Francis as much?
I think your dad would have nothing to do with it anyway.
He probably still don't even know your middle name.
That's true.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, Francis is not correct.
Andrew, why is that on the lyric?
He just seemed like a Francis.
He just guessed.
All right, well, I'm going to keep you guessing.
Don't cheat.
Leave you on the internet.
The next time you come on, we'll guess again.
See if you get it right or not.
Ryan, I don't want to ask because it's going to be the same answer I got.
How was your race this weekend?
I was, so I asked, I asked Bubba yesterday when I saw him, I said, do you think you had more fun yesterday or me? And I think he had a worse time than me. We got to one point in the race and we had been in like 16 wrecks at that point. And he said, can you do me a favor? Don't even call the next one. I just want to drive right in. He's like, I'm done. I'm over with. And then at the end, he was like, we were trying to stay two down because we were the only one two down. And Riley got behind us and we're basically tandem drafting down, like all the way around the race.
track, a half a track behind everybody.
And Joey Riley Spotter comes down.
He's like, hey, Bubba want us to stop?
I go, no, he doesn't want you to stop until you hook him in the fence at some point.
I said, I think he's over it today.
Like, we just, I mean, it was just a miserable race.
You know, we just got collected with Bell.
And then he finally got our laps back.
He spun out off of two and then got two more laps down.
And it was just a nightmare day.
And like, you guys were okay.
And then, like, you guys all did the same strategy.
Doug's like, Doug says to me, yeah, I was home by like a midnight or something.
I go, what?
I go, oh, yeah, you guys all wrecked.
the same accident.
Yeah, I,
well, I was in the first one.
I wrecked before.
Oh, you were in the one of the three, right?
Yeah, I got a hooked per usual.
You are the,
the hook king.
You are the king of that, really.
Oh, my gosh.
So he got my middle name already.
He gave me a water.
He felt bad.
He felt bad.
So he's got to do it again.
Yeah, I got in that one.
I thought I had it cleared, honestly.
I was on the apron.
And, like, I think the three got turned.
Last second got me in the right rear.
And I was at least one and done,
unlike y'all, that had a,
was just damaged enough to hurt you, but kept going.
Luckily, we, not luckily, but we blew all the waterline off of it.
It was killed.
Do you think if you weren't running for that bracket stuff you would have pulled in?
No, no, we were never damaged enough to stop.
It was just like knocked a splitter off and knocked the fender off.
You know, just little damage.
It was never like a toe link or nothing like that.
And we were, Rojas was out early, so we were, we had help.
pretty early.
Cody did good.
Yeah, he ran good.
Good safe race.
You know, sometimes when you're laying back,
it pays off at these type of racetracks.
And that's always Rick Ware's thought process on the speedways.
Just hang out into the big wreck and then go race.
But the car was good.
Finished 13th.
Nice safe day.
That place is wild.
Like, I don't know how it is, like, driving,
but, like, that's the hardest race of spot of the year,
just because it's, it's.
Runs just develop out of nowhere.
Like, it's like a slingshot every damn corner.
Yeah, and you saw it, like, you know, through that race,
and especially towards the end,
like the leader could not hold position.
Like, that way is just, that place is just getting that way.
The runs have always been big there,
but I feel like it's even more now because you handle worse
in the corner, so it spreads a little bit more,
and that makes the runs that much bigger.
So the leader gets away.
So it's getting to where it's a handful.
I mean, you saw multiple guys spin out on their own the other night.
Like, when like Bell spun out and that wreck just trying to get, you know, clean air and he got offset and just spins out.
And there was a lot of other guys that just lost it, you know.
So everyone had their hands full.
It's becoming a, it's a pretty fun race.
I'd say I have more fun in Atlanta speedway racing than like Daytona Tadalega.
I feel like Atlanta is what Daytona and Tadiga used to be with the other car.
Like, you could be aggressive.
You can do, you have maneuverability where Daytona, like,
Tal Dagan now, you just get locked in.
Stuck.
Yeah.
But, I mean, great grace.
Chase wins.
Congrats to all the Chase sex rules.
I'm sure they called in a reaction theater this week.
They did.
I'm looking forward to him.
Big assist from Alex Bowman, obviously the big push to get the lead, but then also Alex
splitting Brad down the back straightaway to, you know, kind of neutralized Brad.
Any kind of run that Brad could have developed there.
I was doing play by play because Bubba was like, I said, you might as well just spot for
them while we're doing this.
So I just called the last three laps like I was MRN.
They were like a half a track of a head.
I had a half a straightway ahead of him, making sure we didn't get in the way.
But, yeah, it was a good race, I thought.
I mean, it was good on TV.
I mean, it was a terrible race for us.
Yeah, it was good.
Yeah, looking at a lot of data.
I followed you until you wrecked all you've seen all your throttle stuff.
And I've seen a couple neat little things you were doing.
It's pretty cool.
And, yeah, it's.
Oh, are they?
Sorry, no.
A lot of guys were wide open in the front, though.
I mean, for many laps.
Yeah.
I mean, that's 17 car.
He was wide open, probably a good 10, 12 laps at times.
Yeah.
If you're leaving, you can run wide open pretty good.
It gets tough if you get back in the pack and trying to get, you know, any type of error.
But, yeah, it puts on a great show.
And, you know, for the finish of the race, like, I watched the whole thing.
And obviously, like, I didn't know if the Hendrik guys were ever going to get lined up.
because all through that race,
like the RFK guys like
Busher and Brad and Priest a little bit,
he was kind of damaged.
But like they would like really make an effort to stay together.
And like every time I looked up,
I'd feel like the nine kept slipping the 48.
The 48 was slip to nine.
I was like,
these guys are not going to work together
and not be able to get to these guys.
And then it worked out to where,
yeah,
Alex was able to help the nine.
It just kind of lined up that way.
And I knew when Chase got by Brad into one,
I'm like,
oh, it's over.
Yeah.
It's done.
Because like,
even if the 48 didn't get alongside the 6, he wasn't going to push him back through the 9.
So it was exciting.
It's cool for that area.
Obviously, Chase living down there, being from Georgia, like, I could hear the crowd from my bus.
Really?
When he won, they were pretty sighted.
So that's a pretty cool, like, hometown win.
How much emphasis during the week and, you know, Daytona, Taldaegga?
Obviously, you guys at Penske doing a great job of controlling the races.
And I was kind of getting a kick out of the race early because Joey's leading.
And I think it was Josh and Austin were second and third.
they're swatting flies.
Like just kind of, like they're protected, not protecting, Joey, just kind of protecting
the lead, saying together.
But how much emphasis is that put on like during the week of, you know, we're going to work
together, however it shakes out, like, because it seems like you guys do it better than
anybody, really.
We talk about that a lot.
Like, we really discuss between the drivers and spotters.
Like, so Sunday morning we have a meeting with all the spotters, all the drivers,
all the crew chiefs and, like, comp directors on, like, and for us, like, it was really, okay,
we're starting top four.
how are we going to start this race to try to control it?
Because I think our cars are fast enough.
Hopefully they handle well enough to kind of make sure we can control everything.
So we put a huge emphasis on it.
It's honestly hard, like especially there with four guys to try to line everything up.
It's a little bit easier at like Daytona Talladega, I feel like, because you're just kind of sitting in a line.
But yeah, we put a huge effort into supporting each other when we can.
And I think that's what makes us super strong on Speedways is we're always kind of there for each other.
At least you try to be.
Yeah.
I mean, it's just like you're talking about the 9 and the 48.
Like, I see everybody do it.
Like, you know, you're expecting them to work together.
And you're like, damn, well, they're not going to do that.
I guess they're going to just keep, you know, screwing each other up, basically.
I think they were probably fighting who was going to help.
Who was going to be the one lead?
Because they both had to win in their minds, right?
So, you know, like, whoever, I need to get to the lead.
You got to be the lead guy.
Lead teammate on like the last two lapses.
It's like, all right, yeah, I got no choice now.
Yeah.
How are we at in the, like, how is your season been?
I mean, it's like Feast or Famine?
feel like for you guys.
I've had like six D&Fs, a lot of DFS.
I don't even know how many races we're through right now.
I couldn't tell you.
Like 14 or something?
No, more than that.
More?
I think so because, no, it's more than that because there's less than 10 left to the playoffs.
18.
18 races?
All right, well, I have six D&Fs through 18 races, which is not great.
But I think we've been really good this year.
It's just we haven't really finished a lot of them.
So hopefully we can.
And just when I feel like it's starting to smooth out, like,
We have two, three really good weeks in a row.
We kind of finish where we need to.
Then we have like a P-last, you know?
And it's just like, okay.
So hopefully all that stuff gets out of the way before we get to playoff time.
I mean, the speed you have has to be encouraging.
And we've talked about it on the podcast all year.
You seem to be the one that gets through traffic the best.
And I don't know if that's, you know, car.
That's, you know, techniques are you using.
But, I mean, the speed in your car has been phenomenal all year.
Yeah.
Yeah, our cars have been really fast.
I feel like everybody's over at Penskeke and the Woodbrothers.
team have done a good job of getting us where we need to be speed-wise and I execute
races so yeah that's the toughest part to get is the speed and yeah we've been able to pass
guys like Pocono we came to the field twice you know and made it up third so our cars are really
diverse right now and can kind of maneuver wherever I need to which is it's always nice to have
yeah well uh Sanchez Sanchez wins the Xfinity race I thought it was a pretty good race I mean
it's just wild same again like
Some of the guys in that race, I wanted to, like, Jesse Love, I text Jesse Love the next day.
I said, have you, did you think you pissed everybody off yesterday or did there a couple of you left out?
Because he was just, his car was so fast and he was just, it seemed to me like he was out of control.
Like, I don't know if you were watching it.
I fell asleep.
It was the late one.
I watched, I watched, so Bubba and I, I was over at his bus and we were watching, we watched through the lightning delay.
And then they wrecked like twice pretty quick.
And then I went to bed, probably like 11.
And I never woke up for the rest of the race.
The fireworks at the end.
I slept all the way through it.
And which I was out, apparently.
And I woke up Sunday morning.
I was like, man, I wonder what time they're going to run this 6thini race today.
Like, I thought it rained out.
Because you didn't hear anything.
And I looked on the social media.
I was like, oh, Sanchez won.
All right, cool.
I had no clue they finished.
Yeah, well, it was a wild race.
I got a text.
We're up there.
I think it was probably like a little left at 12 o'clock that maybe ended, maybe 1230.
And, you know, when I'm out on the road, I'll always text Megan, like, I'm back at the hotel
or whatever, you know, ready to bed.
And she texts me, like, at 1215, no text for your home?
I'm in the middle of the race.
And I was like, and we had just wrecked.
I forget what happened.
I'm like, as I'm getting ready to send a response, she said, oh, I thought this was a replay.
I was like, no, no, we're still at the racetrack.
That's why I'm not back at the hotel yet.
But, I mean, good for Sanchez.
He's been fast this year.
And he's been, I feel like this place, I don't know if you agree or not, Ryan, but like this place of all the, like, of all those like plate racing and play racing in general, but this place especially kind of rewards aggression. And the guys that are more aggressive, they might annoy the hell out of you because they're being overly aggressive, but they're the ones that usually get to the front and get themselves in position. I agree. Yeah, you have to be aggressive here. And yeah, I think you see those guys. It's like a fine line, right? Like it's, you can be overly aggressive, but you have to take space.
you know, when you can.
And you see a lot of like the, I think the aggressive moves here is obviously like
if you try to jam it three wide somewhere, the late moves.
Or you'll see a lot of like the almost like half sliders, right?
Like you kind of go in and then you're not clear by like three inches,
but you just keep coming up and just run them out of space and they are forced to lift
or they spin out.
But yeah, you have to be aggressive and you see it in both races.
Like Chase, how he got back to the front.
he was really aggressive.
That was probably the most aggressive I've ever seen.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, he was going for it and it paid off for him.
Like, he didn't do anything wrong,
but he was just really aggressive in the moves he was making
and took every run that he could and it pays off for you.
So your buddy, driver 77, was very aggressive throughout the middle of that race as well.
Like, his car was so fast, and he would just, he would take any run that he had.
Yeah.
Well, they had a bunch of downforce in it, right?
I mean, all those cars qualified, like, high 20,
These are low 30s.
And so, I mean, the beginning of that race, I think really only the 77 out of those three guys drove from like 31st to the top five, like really quick.
When everyone's handling was kind of pretty shitty.
So, yeah, you got these like two separate beings right now.
And the track is at an interesting spot if it's losing a ton of grip.
And like our cars, I feel like had a bunch of straight line speed, but they didn't handle great.
Then you got guys who go all down force out and they can be super aggressive.
So it's like, where is that going to get to?
and it varies race to race.
Like the spring race there is always super cold
so you can get away with a little bit more
down force out of it.
But then that race the other night was really hot
and you needed to tune some more into it.
So it's kind of a fun variation.
You don't get that big of a variation nowadays
in the Cup series of like builds of cars.
What goes into that decision making, Tom,
like on your side of it?
Like I'm, you know, I'm sure you guys probably got downforce.
But like, you know, is it driver dependent sometimes?
Is it, you know, or is it just like what you think
it's going to be best in that scenario.
Yeah, I mean, kind of what Ryan said, it's all temperature.
You know, we're watching the track surface, you know, at Atlanta.
We know, obviously, every day goes by, the place is going to get more worn out, you know,
because of the sun and the weather and the rain and, you know, whatever else hits Atlanta.
But, yeah, if it was in November, we'd probably back it down a little bit more
and take a little, you know, downforce out.
And, you know, it's all done with underneath, you know, the car.
You know, we can move the whole body all over the place on top, you know, the deck lit up, the deck lid down, the rear window up, the rear window down.
It's, I don't know, a 30 second of the feeling to a driver of what you can do of 20,000th of a floor height change.
So, yeah, I mean, you can definitely see the 77 had a lot of downforce.
And I think the nine car did, too.
I mean, he could, he could, the six car was probably the most solid looking car at the end of the race.
I feel like he had a bit of both.
Like, he qualified like six maybe.
Right with you guys.
Yeah.
But he could all, I feel like he handled really good too.
So they had to go on both sides of it.
Yeah.
On the one on a restart he got.
Oh, he got nipped at the line or something.
Yeah.
I thought that was a really good race until the last, or the last restart, they all went to one and drove straight off the race.
He's tracking.
I was like, oh, God.
And if you listen to Gluck, he was torn up about it.
Really?
Because he was like, how is that?
Was he Gluck or Jordan?
I forget which one it was, but he was like, that's not leading.
And you're like, well, then one of them's like, well, why not?
I mean, you're leading the lap, but you didn't lead the lap.
You know?
And it's like, well, you led the start and finish line.
But, yeah, that's kind of weird that you go with the line.
Yeah.
But if you're leading that to start, finish, it's.
It's not jumping to green, right?
It's not jumping to green.
Yeah.
Good for Corey, though.
I mean, Jesus, the kid finally, I mean, it's just, that truck did not move.
It didn't do anything all day long.
I mean, that thing was just, like SVG at Mexico.
Mexico.
Yeah.
Ryan, I know you, like, speaking of trucks and Xfinity, like, how do you enjoy being in the booth?
I know you've done it a handful of times now.
Is it something like that you're looking forward to?
For Xfinity.
And I've done Wilkesboro for the trucks this year.
And I might do one or two more.
as the year goes on, but I enjoy it. It's fun. I was in the booth with McMurray and Adam Alexander at Pocono, and those guys are great. Like, Adam is, I think Adam is one of the best broadcasters out there. Like, he's so articulate and he can really explain things. And it's fun working up there with Jamie, too. And he does a great job as well. So it's just fun to be a part of it. So yeah, I don't see myself doing that after I'm done racing. No full time. I enjoy you. I enjoy doing it like a, a few.
few times a year. Yeah. Yeah. Did you purchase a racetrack since the last time you were here,
too? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, it finalized. Yeah. Um, part owner of Sharon Speedway,
a track my dad owns and grew up right by. So me, myself, my dad, and this guy, uh, Willie Thomas,
who dad grew up with, um, all three of us own it. So we're all a third owner and, um,
yeah, it's pretty neat to be part of it. Uh, Sharon meant a lot to my family. I grew up,
like, selling programs and answering phones, even though I didn't know what the hell I was talking about
when I was answering phones.
I just made sure it didn't ring out.
I just, I would pick it up and I would hand it to my mother.
I don't think you ever spoke to like 14 anyway.
I don't think I've heard you say a word until you were 14.
Yeah, I'd answer the phone to Sharon and not say a word.
And that hated to me mom.
But that was him when he was little.
I mean, he just, yeah.
There's all that dirt raising you did growing up probably, you know.
Oh, yeah, just known for my dirt expertise.
Everyone thinks that, man.
It's so funny.
And somebody said to me one time, like, oh, yeah, he grew up racing Sharon.
I was like, I don't think so.
I've read that like three times in my life.
But, no, that's fun.
It's neat.
That opportunity came about, and I definitely jumped on it, and it's cool to be a part of that with dad.
And got some big plans for it.
I mean, it's like, it's kind of new.
It's all right, what's the next steps?
Like, my next steps for, like, that is, all right, how do you improve fan experiences?
The racetrack is beautiful the way it is.
but there's always upgrades you can do.
How do you increase purses for weekly shows?
Like that's the biggest thing for me is trying to get the weekly purses up.
And then also how do you have, you know, one, two or three more big races there a year?
You know, how do you got to get to that point?
Well, you know, the outlaws go there and the All-Stars go there.
And I think high limit goes there once maybe through the year.
But how do you have a, you know, a couple bigger shows, I think is the big part.
But we have a great group up there and looking forward to seeing where it goes.
We ready for a little spot-on, spot-off?
Why not?
Spot-on!
Spot-on!
Did you want to go first on this one?
I think he's a whiny bitch.
That's what I think.
Send it.
Why me?

All right, number one,
Ty Dillon tells T&T, Denny Hamlin fans,
I just beat your favorite driver.
Spot on, spot off, Freddie.
Spot off.
The fuck, Denny's great.
How do I know that's...
I mean, he did beat him.
How did I know you would say that?
I know.
I don't like it.
Freddy wants a recount.
Don't be talking shit about my guy.
I mean, geez.
Freddie wants a recount.
Your guy.
Last week he was.
My boss is.
He was.
Yeah, last week he was angry at him.
It's a different week.
What did I do last?
He must be getting paid this week.
Was this the end of the month?
I'm sorry, is this the end of the month?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
It's pay week.
It's pay week.
No, I think it's really funny.
I mean, this is what they wanted when they made this race, the first race of the
damn challenge was to flip it on a.
head and, you know, I'm sure we can go through a little while and go through some of the
upsets, but this is probably one of the bigger ones, obviously, the number one seed in the tournament
is out in the first round because he got caught up in a wreck with other 40 people in turn three
there.
But yeah, I think this is funny that Ty is showing a little personality.
Yeah, I had Denny winning the whole thing, so my bracket's fucked.
I wonder if anyone has the bracket left.
There's no way.
There's no way.
I don't think.
Maybe Ty Dillon's wife's brackets still really bad.
But that might be it.
Yeah, but that's one pick.
You guys are still in it
Yeah
You're facing
There's one winner
In it
And that's Chase
Oh really
Oh okay
I was looking
I was in the
You know
With the playoff situation
Being what it is
I'm looking at the end of the race
Last night
And I'm like
There's one guy on the racetrack
That's won a race
It's like
Larson was the only one chase
Of SBG was out there
But he was three lapsed
And I was like
Shit
I was like
We're gonna get a win
And then
Well for y'all though
It was best case scenario
Yeah
Because if Larsman going to win, Chase had to be the next one
was the best one to win.
But I was like, I'm out there going, I'm like, we're screwed.
Like, there's definitely going to be a new winner here.
Like a Brad K win would definitely have hurt y'all.
Definitely.
Literally, anybody but Chase and Reddick would have been, like,
the two that wouldn't have stung too bad.
So that was a win for us.
As bad as our day was, we went from, I think, plus 29 to plus 23,
but now we are the cut line because I think Bowman passed us in points.
But yeah, going back to the,
brackets, it's, I mean, this is what it's for.
Yeah.
Do you like it?
Well, I don't, I don't really care.
It doesn't matter.
The thing that, like, really.
Well, you were mad in the beginning.
I didn't like the seating.
I thought the seating was stupid.
I don't, I was the only thing.
I like the bracket.
Well, what it is.
You can't change it.
Junk right now.
It's a shit flipped on its head.
I don't think the seating mattered.
Yeah, I mean, it really didn't matter one bit going to Atlanta for the first race.
It probably would have been worse because of the, all the big guys wrecked.
All the other guys, I bet you it's probably almost even.
Can we do to math?
Do to math?
Mr. Producer.
He can't do any math in there.
I'm crunching the number.
Yeah, so now we go to Chicago against the guy that won the race last year,
so that should be good for us.
At least you're still in it.
Yeah.
Ironically, I mean, maybe we're running before the end of the race this year.
So you do that, you look at fine.
That old Emerson.
Emerson.
Emerson.
Tommy calls Bubba Emerson Fitapaldi on road course.
He'll take it.
me in the middle of a race. He goes,
Emerson's getting a hang of this.
Hey, he's getting better at road courses, man.
I think he's going to be good.
He might be literally like one of the most improved drivers ever.
Like from where he started to where he's at now on a road course.
Like, we was back in the day, I remember we were running Sonoma and he was struggled.
We're in the 43 and he's just struggling.
And I'm like, all right, man, get back in rhythm, hit your marks.
He's like, I got no fucking marks.
I got no rhythm.
I'm like, hit somebody else's marks.
I don't know what to tell you.
Find some marks.
I got no rhythm.
I got no marks.
I don't know if you want me to do.
All right. Number two, Alex Bowman tells PRN the leader was a sitting duck when battling for the win late in the race.
Spot on, spot off. Ryan.
Spot on.
Do you think if the six ran the line all the way?
The bottom?
Getting into the corner of the bottom was where the RPM seemed to like pick up, right?
Do you think if he ran the line off the corner and just stayed on the line all the way into the corner and,
forced them to the top.
To your feeling of what was going on, what do you think would have happened there?
I still feel like you could still see, even if you got a big run, you could, and I've done this
a lot, and you see it, like you kind of can fake bottom and they protect and you just slip the right
rear.
Now maybe you don't clear them doing that like you can as easy on the bottom.
You might just stay side by side, but I don't know.
I didn't see it the whole race, though.
I didn't see anybody doing that, you know, from the bottom going to the top and passing it,
but it was all.
You could do it mid-pack.
I don't know about the lead.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know.
I think the run was so big on the last lap from Chase that, like, it was going to be hard to block no matter what.
But if you're on the line, you can't go below it, right?
So if you ran that line and just said, okay, this is where I'm going to be.
Yeah.
I don't know if, I personally don't think if he shot up to the outside or tried to close.
I don't think it would have worked.
I think that he would have, like Ryan said, I think he would have gotten outside of,
Brad and then the 48 would have pushed him by
down the back straightaway.
Like he was going to get position.
The 48 was the key to the whole thing.
Like he, wherever the nine went,
the 48 was going to go with him and then be,
you know, I don't think he would have cleared him like he didn't want to.
I think he would have been outside of him off a two
and the 48 would have just pushed him by down the back straightaway
or down the front stretch.
But either way, I think it's,
I didn't think it was defendable for Brad.
Like, I thought he did.
I was surprised he didn't throw a little better block.
But to Brad's credit also, like that's a position where you need to win
and he didn't throw the massive block
and run them under the line
and like, because we've seen people do that
and wrecked themselves
but we did it, Bubba did it at wherever we were
was that Taldaiga when we wrecked?
Right, yeah.
Or we're almost wrecked.
Yeah.
I think, I think Alex's comments was,
you know, the leader was a sitting duck.
I think he was talking about Brad.
Yeah, for sure.
Seemates were lined up like Brad's a sitting duck.
Like he's not gonna,
his chance of winning that race was very low
Brad's was because just he had no help.
Yeah, once he lost Busher.
Yeah, once he lost Bush.
I think the odds, I think, would have been
higher if he just held the line.
Oh, for sure. I mean, it would have, it would have, I think
they were not going to clear him. They weren't going to drive
around him and clear him in one and two if they went to the top, but
they would have been in position to do, you know, they would have
had a big run down the back and, you know,
they were going to work together to get him anyway, but it would not have
it wouldn't have been as easy for Chase.
And they would, you know, it would have put Brad in a little better
position probably of being able to race back with them
because once Chase got clear in the 48
split Brad down the back, it was, the race
was over basically. Oh, yeah. Atlanta
should move to the regular season cutoff and
Daytona should go back to July 4th, spot on.
spot off, Tommy.
Yeah, I always love Daytona on July 4th, so you can spend a couple days down there.
Besides that, I mean, I think Atlanta should be the last race before the playoff.
That's what we're talking about, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what we're saying.
Yeah.
So you're spot on.
Spot on.
Yeah.
Spot on.
Fuck it.
Yeah, I mean, you got no sleep, man.
I can't process completely.
No, we'll cut you a break today.
It's, you know, I don't know.
I don't love the idea.
like plate races, but I guess you're going to run them anyway, so you might as well,
it doesn't really matter where they're at in the schedule. They all count the same.
It would be wild, though. I mean, it would,
Daytona's already wild as it is, you know, as the cutoff. So Atlanta would be that much
better because Atlanta is better. Like, it's a better race.
Like Daytona is, I almost, I would say spot on just because I think you're more
control your own destiny at Atlanta more than you are Daytona, because Daytona is just
right around, get positioned, save fuel and hope you come off the last pit stop with
the lead or in position to be up front. And so, yeah, I'm,
I'm spot on for it.
Yeah, I agree.
And what's more American than Daytona on July 4th?
The problem is I think that they,
I don't think Daytona wants us back on July 4th.
I think they enjoy having,
they're going to have July 4th weekend down there no matter what.
You know, that's going to be a big week for them.
And then they, now they have an extra event in wherever we go,
August, middle August, whatever it is.
I was, when I was looking at your date in the beginning,
would you guys talk about trying to double up and save fuel the other night or no, at all?
That was, we talked about it.
but we thought that our cars were fast enough that if we could all four get in line and just push the pace and kind of string it out, we just forced everybody else to use more gas too.
So there was all these different options.
But even like that, we kind of controlled everybody.
Like Joey and Josh would be like bottom.
And like Brad kept slipping like the two for a while to the bottom.
And then I just run the middle with the two.
And like we kind of held everybody at bay.
And then we just kind of lost it.
But yeah, we talked about that, but it's harder to do at Atlanta.
Like, if you run two by two at Atlanta, like, Daytona Tauadega, you can run two by two
and kind of control the pace of, like, killing the third lane.
And then, you know, saving gas while doing that, Atlanta is way harder.
Do you think Atlanta is the best racing product that we have right now?
No.
No.
I mean, it's exciting.
It's a spectacle to watch.
Maybe for the fans, but not.
And listen, it was the way it was at the end because you didn't have,
Like if the Pentee cars were up there, it probably wouldn't have been as exciting because they were going to control the race and not, you know, they wouldn't be able to defend runs back in third or fourth versus racing for the lead.
Brad was a sitting duck because, you know, teammates got lined up behind him.
If it was the six, the 17 and the 60 up there, it would have been harder for them to get there and be as good of a race and as good of a finish.
But I don't, I mean, I know there's going to be talk about whatever, I don't know what track they were talking about, like making another one of the, you know, Atlanta.
I'm good with one.
Like, I don't want to.
It's fun to spot.
but I don't want to do it every damn week.
I promise you.
Yeah.
It's like he's,
I mean,
it's entertaining to watch,
I feel like.
I mean,
I think any racer will say,
like,
I prefer the old Atlanta.
Oh,
from a racer standpoint.
The fans didn't like it because,
oh, it gets strung out and yada yada and stuff like that.
And Atlanta,
now it's just more packed up and stuff.
And, uh,
but yeah,
it's a,
it's a,
it's a,
it's a,
it's a,
like an amazing racer's race?
Like,
no.
Like,
just pandemonium chaos.
There is fun moments, but yeah, I prefer the old ones.
It's just, it's, I mean, it's what plate racing used to be, you know.
I feel like we don't have the huge wrecks anymore at Daytona Tadetal-Dade because we don't
really have, we're not maneuvering around a lot.
But this is a place where we're so packed up and you saw it the other night, you know,
one guy gets turned down the back stretch and literally three-quarters of the field packed
into the three, you know, we're all in the same wreck.
And I, you know, I'd hate to have your season decided by that after you're doing that
three or four times a year.
So I think it's fun for,
a couple times you hear and let's leave it at that.
I think Atlanta's getting war out enough
to where we should start taking spoiler away
from it. Like not a full speedway package.
I'm concerned that they're going to...
I'm concerned that they're going to do something to try to
put grip back into it so we don't...
You know what I mean? Like spray it or something like that
so that we stake with this package longer.
Because I'd like to see where we go from here, like, you know,
get kind of get away from the speedway package
and get back to the old Atlanta.
I don't know why they would do that because it's getting better.
Yeah, no, I know.
I mean, with that package.
But they like, they love the packed up.
up. I'm thinking if we ever get to the point where we're not packed up anymore, then they're
going to do something to bring that pack. I don't think with this package, you never not going to be
packed. Yeah. The way to track is cut like two inches of spoiler off. Yeah. And I think it'd be like,
you'd really have your hands full. And then it would be like old Daytona, right? Like really
struggling to find grip. And you have like these seven, eight car like packs of like guys who
are handling a little bit better than others and they can kind of break away. Like that'd be a cool product.
I mean, we'd show up at Daytona, the 500, a full speedway car.
That car would take the green flag looking like a Martinsville car.
That's how much we'd work on it for that week, 10 days.
You know, we'd cut the fenders, cut the wheel wells open.
I mean, just anything you can do to get down for us back in it.
Yeah.
Fun, fun times.
Fun times.
Perhaps not fun times.
Bubba Wallace says that the spotter locations were problematic for Mexico and will be in Chicago.
Freddie, do you have an opinion?
I think Bubba, does Bubba know that Freddie couldn't, he ran out of breath getting to this.
That's what was problematic about it.
Once I got to the top of the stadium, I about died.
Yeah, it wasn't, it wasn't vantage point.
It was the stairs that were problematic.
Somebody said, did you see Bubba's comments about spotters?
And I was like, oh, no.
I was like, all he ever does is talk shit.
And I was like, God, what do you say?
But no, this was, you know, this was a valid point.
And the point is trying to make is, you know, we were.
I was talking to him about.
And it started kind of at Charlotte and it's in, it's been Cota a couple years ago and whatnot.
But like, we, when we go to these races, like, we went to Mexico and one of the spotter stands was useless, like, completely useless.
And, like, that was turn 15.
You could literally see the exit of turn 15 and the entry to pit road.
So unless somebody, like, spun out and was sitting there, that was the only time you were actually going to do anything.
And that was the primary location when we got there.
Were you at 15?
I, to start the weekend, but I moved, like, so then what happened was, I was 15 because you go to
But one, one was even more useless.
You were down on the ground looking straight down this front stretch.
So you had no debt perception getting into one.
You could see a little bit through two and three, but you were really low, so it was hard.
And then nine was fine where those guys were back there.
But we were trying to work with NASCAR.
Like, hey, just tell us, make one or nine the primary location.
Like, we were like, trying to get one.
Like, we were like, if you can move in this other grandstand, you'd have a really good view.
You'd be able to see everything and be good.
And they're like, no, we can't put you up there.
Like, there's 30 of us, 40 of us, whatever.
Like you can't like just block off 40 seats somewhere or you know two rows of 20 whatever it is and nope we can't do it.
I was like well like the idea is we're here to safety.
Like this is our, I know we do a lot of shit up there now, but like primary number one goal is safety.
So you've got guys down there that like you can't see.
You know?
So and then like the turn 15 location was useless like the guy's that guy over there.
So we got them to move that.
But just going forward like Chicago, they moved the primary location this year from one side of the front stretch to the other.
So now again, we don't know what we can see, what we can see when we get there.
And our biggest thing has been like any one of us or if you're not, then you can't,
you don't have a reason to bitch.
But like anytime we do something, we change a spotter stand, we go to a new track,
whatever it is, we're all willing to go.
Like scout the location out.
Like we'll tell you where we got to be, especially road courses, you know.
And they just never ever ask.
They just put us wherever they want.
And we get there like, okay, this doesn't work.
So that was, you know, that was the conversation that me and Bubba were having beforehand.
I'm sure I don't, I mean, I think Jordan asked the question.
I was like, wow, I can't imagine how that came up.
But yeah, I don't know.
We'll see what Chicago is like.
But the biggest thing for us is like, we just, I think sometimes they think, like,
listen, we spotters don't have the best reputation.
We could be prima don'tanas and have outlandish opinions about stuff.
And I think sometimes, believe it or not, I think sometimes that they.
Are your opinions correct?
No, it's an opinion.
You know, opinion is not right or wrong.
I mean, everything I say is right.
I mean, I don't know about everybody else.
Yeah, of course.
We can always send Ryan back to Chicago real quick.
He can get some more driver points.
Driver points.
I spent more time in Chicago the last three months.
Can you go to Chicago this week for me and let me know what that front stretch location looks like?
I'll help you out.
Yeah.
No matter where you stay in Chicago, you can't be able to see anything.
No, that's the thing.
Like somebody said to me, like, how many spotters use Chicago?
I said, we'll use three.
But you need eight.
Like, because you can't see, you know, there's so many blind corners.
You know, like, you're driving through a city, you know, so we had guys last year in hotel rooms.
They got guys on buses and turn four.
Like, you know, it's just, you just try to do the best you can.
But like Mexico, we have a lot of blind spots.
Chicago is going to have a lot of blind spots.
That's what it is.
I think the biggest thing for spotters at like a place like Chicago, it's not so much of, you know,
it's a little bit of helping us out, right, if like someone's diving in there.
But we can see a decent amount with the camera and stuff.
It's more like blind exits.
Yeah.
Like if someone stopped.
Yeah.
Like you can't see that.
So I think that's the biggest thing.
It's like spotter.
It's like you said, it's kind of a safety thing.
Like we usually can, we'll peek and stuff like that, and you can kind of deal with yourself.
But the exit stuff, the blind corner is like, I have no idea if someone's going to be sitting off a five.
Yeah, there's a shitload of them there.
Yeah.
We'll see.
Yeah.
Hopefully, I mean, it's going to be fine.
But it's just, it's frustrating.
Yeah.
All right.
Ryan Blaney responds to Spire Motorsports's tweet of him being eliminated by Carson Hostsvars saying, I still owe you for this one.
Thanks for reminding me.
Where are we getting that pay back at?
Oh, you didn't see that?
Somebody sent it to me.
I think I have a screenshot of it.
Saturday night when I was sitting on the plane.
So, like, Carson, Spire tweeted and said, like, you get...
Oh, I did say it's like a L.
Would you accept my trade?
I receive a trip to round two and you receive an L.
Yeah.
And then said, thanks for accepting our trade, Blaney.
Yeah.
What was the trade?
They were basically...
They're basically...
They're pretty much talking shit.
Talking shit that he lost.
Because I was head-to-head with him.
And I'm happy he was able to be.
me when I got crashed at lap 50.
That was outstanding job.
That was really difficult.
Great job by the whole Spire Motorsports team.
So yeah, I saw that.
And I was, you know, I wasn't really in a mood.
I was like, I had speedway race and whatever.
And then I saw that on the plane.
I was like, well, now you've kind of pissed me off a little bit.
So that social media person is going to have to explain when something happens to the 77 car.
That it all started over a tweet.
Yeah.
So I hope they're proud of themselves for that.
So I do still.
I do still owe him.
He wrecked me at First Atlanta this year.
And I haven't done anything about it.
I can tell you a little.
Now you just re-sparked me.
Yeah, yeah.
Now you just reminded me.
And this is a good place in Chicago.
There's some slow corners.
It's easy to lock up.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Isn't that what happened in Mexico?
Oh, wheel hop.
Wheel hop.
Yeah.
I must have wheel hop.
No, no, you know wheel hop.
Yeah.
I saw that.
And I was like, wow, all right.
Well, now you have an issue.
Now you got a problem.
I wasn't even think about it.
So much for round three, bud.
If the 77 driver's not causing shit, everybody else is for.
Yeah, like the driver finally doesn't do anything stupid.
Here goes social media.
They just can't seem to get out of the way over there.
There was some unhappy people on him up at White Mountain.
I can tell you that.
Why at White Mountain?
It was some unhappy people.
Oh, man, the modified race?
He wasn't even there.
About him.
Oh, just about, like his driving style?
No, yeah, everything.
Oh, shit.
I don't even want to know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I mean, it was it you?
You were there.
I mean, we either had a lot.
I was sitting in the truck.
They came and attacked me.
These guys, they let me have it.
I'm like, we're on your side.
By the way, we love your show.
Oh, God.
A lot of DBC fans up there.
Yeah?
Modified racing.
Of course.
No, no, late model.
Guys up there.
I didn't even know.
I had late model races up there.
We got millions of listeners, but, I mean, we do.
We're worldwide.
Worldwide.
International.
We do have international listeners.
Oh.
Okay, well, that's that.
Time for reaction to it?
No, no.
What's our, oh, it's nothing?
Oh, you're always.
Oh, here we go.
I do have a gripe this week.
And it's fucking support divisions, okay?
I love a support division at a local track, okay?
We need them.
I get it.
I understand it.
But why the fuck are we running four of them before a 200-lap race that's starting at 9-30?
I got home.
I say the same thing.
Everything about your race.
Your cards for everything.
We have two support divisions, if that.
Yeah.
And your race still start at midnight.
This year, every schedule, we have raced before the local divisions.
Thank you very much.
Wednesday night.
Wednesday night, it wasn't up to us.
It wasn't up to us.
No, this Wednesday night.
I'm saying it's not, it wasn't up to us for Caraway.
You guys race Wednesday is me?
Yeah.
The race will go on at midnight.
It's supposed to be.
I am not happy about our 9 p.m. late model green flag, but at least it's not 200 laps.
Watch.
I got one tow truck.
So that's your.
That's my gripe.
That's my gripe.
Have you yelled at the driver yet?
Is it I got home late as fuck
because of support divisions
and ill planning?
Did you see Muppet Tom back there?
What's that?
You see Muppet Tom?
I know I do.
I have a great view of them.
Yeah.
Tom and the tow truck driver.
Tommy, thank God you were not in the garage this weekend.
There was tow truck drivers.
Everywhere.
Everywhere.
Everywhere you look.
So support divisions, we're getting rid of them.
You want to?
I mean, abolish it.
I'm shitting on.
No, I just think that the schedule should.
The schedule should have been played out a little bit better.
A 200-lap race does not be needing to go green at 930.
You were there for three days, right?
Where?
South Watson.
I was there for one.
Well, it felt like it.
The divisions.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I mean, honestly, I will say the support divisions kept their shit together better than
the late model race, truly.
I mean, we had like three red flags in the first 40 laps.
But it's just four of them is a lot.
And it doesn't need to be happening before a 200-lap race.
And that's my rest of my case.
It's not my fucking schedule, Tommy.
Calm down, everybody.
I wasn't saying it to you.
I was saying it to them.
Started earlier.
McMurray was telling me that his kid was racing somewhere a couple weeks ago.
I was talking to him at Pocono in the booth.
And I can't remember where he sat there.
Franklin County.
Yeah.
And they sat there.
Oh, yeah.
Someone blow up or something.
Yeah.
And they didn't have enough speedy.
They had one bag of speedy dry.
And they had to get dirt.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Tommy's kid was running.
So I turned it on.
And I'm like, I turned it on right as they were cleaning it up.
And I was like, what is?
is on the racetrack. I was like, what the? And then they were like a big meeting in the infield.
I was like, what is going on?
Yeah. Finally, I text Tommy. He's like, they had one bag of wet, speedy dry here and now they're
putting dirt on the racetrack. Yeah, that's awesome. That's great. And also, did y'all see
the show at Bowman Gray this weekend? Oh, yeah. We're nominating that. That'll be in the show,
hall of game. Yeah. For sure. Did you see it? Yes.
Fucking idiot. Just when you think it can't get any better, that pops up and you're like,
oh, God. Dude, I love it. That in that late model at Port, I think at Port Royal.
Yeah, drove up on the hood.
Drove over the hood.
Both on flow.
Both on flow.
And if you haven't already got your subscription to flow, I don't know where the hell is that.
Yeah, we do.
I could use that.
It's on the first page.
Here we go.
It's flow sports.
dot link slash DBC1.
Okay.
Write that down.
Good.
Yeah.
Good.
I need that.
I don't know there's a discount.
You do not.
I need a discount on anything.
I need discount a lot.
I, I, I, someone was saying something the other day about you were asking about something
for free.
And I'm like.
For, for, for, uh,
so I can read Gluck and Bianchi's like,
I don't have a New York Times description.
And I was like, I'm not buying New York Times subscription.
It's a dollar 50 and he wouldn't buy it.
A month.
A month.
That adds up, dude.
They lock you in.
You'll forget about it.
It's like, oh my God, it's going to cost me $300 till I'm 70.
Yeah.
Don't start with me.
I ain't doing it.
Bianchi said he'll get me a code.
Half off.
It'll be $0.99.
Oh, my God.
As long as you get under a dollar, I can swing it.
Yeah, I can swing it.
We're going to start a go fund me, so Ryan can't...
A buddy of my...
You know where he got his cheapness from.
The old man.
He's old man.
I was...
Some bitch still got his confirmation check.
There's a guy that...
There's a guy that shares his studio with us.
It's rather frugal.
And I heard a story one time.
He was a buddy of mine figured out what his name was on eBay.
So he was selling like old records or some shit on eBay.
And he who shall remain nameless in here was a haggling over $1.
Like he was going to...
I was like, I'll give you an eight instead of nine or something like that.
I'm like, God damn,
come on, man.
Oh, you said his name.
I think everybody who was.
I thought it was T.J.
Well, that's, no.
T.J.
If T.J. thinks he's important enough
to have to have a fake name on eBay,
then we have bigger problems.
Seriously.
Poor T.J.
All right, well, spot on, spot off.
Was fun, as always.
I want to make sure we give a shout out again

Man, I don't know.
I think it would be fun.
I get jealous of Wyatt because he's doing off-road truck racing.
I don't know if I really belong doing that.
But that's probably the first thing I would do is something.
a little wild.
Yeah.
I'm shocked.
I'm absolutely shocked to hear that.
If you want to feel the rush and kick it into overdrive with their optional supercharged
models, you can do that and unleash the power.
You are in the driver's seat.
The only thing that terrifies me more than you going off road racing would be you going
off road racing supercharged.
I get his picture.
You looked at the guy of the general leaf flying through the air the other week.
Might not make it to the show on Monday.

Hey, it's Dale Jr.
Did you know that we've got brand new merch from our Star, Stripes, and Bears collection available now?
We've got tanks, teas, beach towels, and more just in time for summer.
Check it all out at shop.dirtymodea.com.
Oh, okay.
Are we ready for some reaction theater?
I bet we've got a lot of toasters and a lot of
Chase sexuals.
It's going to be a good one.
For sure.
I should have brought a toaster in for the table or something.
Did you sign that kid's toaster at a fan day?
Yeah, we all did.
He was over here the day before.
Yeah.
It's pretty great.
I hope no one plugged him in.
Not in the bath anyway.
All right.
This first message, believe it or not, is for Ryan.
Weird.
Oh, great.
Message for Penny Ryan.
Yoda. I am.
Force not strong with you.
While you hit
too many times.
That was it. All right.
It was accurate. I mean,
was that me?
You hit too many times? Yeah.
Was that you calling me?
I mean, I can see you doing that.
I'm sitting in the bus.
Saturday night calling in.
I might have left all the message.
I might have left 10 messages the other night.
I had all the time on the war on to do it.
Just sitting there.
Let me mess with myself.
Somebody tweeted every yesterday.
And they're like, I'm 90% sure Ryan called in three weeks ago and left a message about,
so I'm like, no, I'm 90% sure he didn't.
You'll never know, man.
You'll never know.
I'll tell you after the year of how many times I actually called in.
How many times you call in?
I'll let you know.
If you did, they haven't been good enough.
Yeah.
Well, you don't know.
They're not supposed to be that easy to figure out it's me.
So, interesting fact for you guys, as an electrician from the UK,
our electrical sockets or receptacles
are the safest in the world
I fucking wish they weren't
as a blamie fan this morning
fuck me
where's your toaster at?
60 NFs you have a lot of toasters for you now
cursing is just funnier in an accent
especially a British accent
that was actually Ryan
that was a yeah
sophisticated
sophisticated guy
fucking
oh god
day 712
tylerc
still needs to go ahead
and cut that
fucking mole it off
okay
I'm about to jump in
with the Blaine fans
with the toasters
he's creating too much drag
with that mullet
I don't know what the hell
he's got going on
like he's he's different
he showed up in Daytona
like one of our pre-season
meetings
And I was like, you're getting a haircut before the season, right?
No, I'm letting her eye.
And I was like, okay.
Bubba still has a mustache.
Nope, shaved it off, send me a picture as soon as the race is over.
Oh, really?
Man, that's a, it's a dirty stash, too.
It was, I was like, God Almighty.
Thank God we wrecked so he can get rid of that thing.
See, there is one good thing to come of the weekend for you there, Friday.
Silver lining.
We won the, we won our matchup and Bubba's got no more porn stash.
It'll be back in two days.
Yeah.
Well, he's like he was not, like he says to me a picture, he's definitely not clean shaving.
I was like, would you just buzz it off?
I don't understand what happened here.
I guess all the Chase Elliott sexual.
Chase Elliott sexual.
Treditors will be out tonight.
Predators.
Predators.
That's the whole call?
Yeah.
Guess all the.
What's going on this week?
Chase Elliott.
Predators.
That was a pretty good one.
What did you say?
Predators.
The Chase.
The Chase Elliott sexual.
The Chase.
The violent sexual predators will be out tonight.
That might be the showtime.
I hope there's a comma in there somewhere.
I don't know.
Beware, Dawsonville.
That's the siren.
That's what the siren's going off for.
It's a fucking warning.
Did it go off yesterday or last shirt, Ryan?
When did it?
I don't know.
I bet it goes off that night.
The whole week.
I think it doesn't stop, I don't think.
Yeah.
Everyone's just confused if a tornado's coming or face one.
Now you really know what it's.
Could you imagine?
living there in hearing distance from the pool room
and hearing that, like you just move.
Like, oh, you know, baby, we're going to move to Dawsonville,
great area.
And you don't know about the siren and, like, midnight.
The siren's going off to, like, tornado's coming.
You're running to the basement?
Terrified.
You got a helmet out of the closet.
You're, huh, huh.
Yeah.
It's won every 44 weekends.
All I can say is a chase sexual.
I'm bricked up far with that Tommy Baldwin in a tow truck driver fight.
Hell fucking yeah.
So somebody called in last week and says that about Bricked Up and we were laughing.
So that night I went to Tommy's house because it was Luke's birthday and we're sitting on
his patio drinking and he looks at me.
He's like, so what's Brickdown?
I was just like, oh, God.
Incredibly excited.
That's not the definition I gave him.
Incredibly excited.
It's not a wrong definition.
I mean, it's very accurate.
All right.
Well, a lot of chase sexuals today.
To leave an audio message 24-7, you can call our number at 704, 802-9572, and we'll play the best-ish ones each week on the show.
All right, and moving right along, it's time for AskDBC.
You can send in your questions on X each week using hashtag AskDBC.
Ryan, RJ would like to know how you got introduced to Whiskey Myers.
I met them for the first time in person, 2020.
Fontana they were playing at
something in L.A.
So me, Chase, and Jimmy Johnson
drove out there and hung out with those guys for a little bit.
And they're huge race fans, really nice guys,
and I've just gotten to know them ever since.
And, yeah, they're cool dudes.
So it's pretty funny how worlds can collide like that.
Like, you know, hey, I'm a big fan of what you do
on sporting side or music side.
And it kind of goes vice versa.
It's kind of neat.
but they're really good dudes.
But yeah, I met them a handful of years ago at a show.
And Chase and I brought the ace in the hole.
Yeah, we brought Jimmy with us.
And they were just losing that.
Jimmy Johnson was hanging out in their motor home
because they're huge race fans and big Jimmy fans.
So, yeah, I've known for a while.
They do a lot with high limit.
Yeah, high limit, right?
They're their victory lane sponsor, I know for a fact, which is cool.
And I think they do stuff with Rico too.
With Rico, yeah.
Which, like, you said, world's colliding.
That's just...
I laughed.
If you watch a high limit race every night,
they have like the high limit playlist or whatever it is.
And like they did RICO one night and it was just Whiskey Meyers songs.
The whole time was everyone was, I was like this is ironic.
Okay, Kate would like to know, what's the biggest challenge about racing on a street course for drivers and spotters?
I'd say it's a hell of a lot more challenging for the drivers than spotters.
It's not very challenging for us.
That's what I'm saying.
They drive by.
We wait two minutes and you guys come back.
What do you do in those two minutes that you're waiting for them to come back?
I run to the bathroom, get a beer.
Run.
Just walk briskly.
breastweed
Jesus
What is it
Like what would you say
The challenges are
I mean
Like just comparing like
Chicago to
Sonoma or Watkins Glen
I think the biggest
hurdle for us is
Just how narrow it is
No room for error
Like there's no runoffs
Right
So if you mess up
You know
Dive in too deep
Like you see it in
And what's it like
Five or six
Where the front stretch
And backstress
kind of meet
Like you see guys
Lock up
And just
Destroy the barrier there
Whereas
There's another road course.
There's a runoff and you can kind of bail and go at it again.
Or, you know, so I think just this, just the narrow part, barriers each side and, you know, no runoff.
It makes it, makes it extremely tough.
Like Chase, Chase had a big wreck there, like where we went around the fountain there.
Like, he hit the right side wall and then just got shot into the left side concrete barrier.
So it's like if you, it's not only the exit barriers you have to worry about.
It's like the apex barriers, you know, you're trying to push for every end.
mention you can, you know, other places, oh, I run over the curb too much, you know, no big deal.
But here, like, you try to get too much. You're ping pong and everywhere.
Yeah. And I feel like, you know, it's, it's streets. You know what I mean? It's a lot of racetracks.
So then it's rough and you've got to be really careful about where you're downshifting and, you know, where you're breaking on these, you know, because you'll see swells. I think seven's a big example.
Like, you know, there's swells in a racetrack where it's not just a paved race track where we run on every week. It's just the normal, you know, everyday streets.
Yeah. And like into turn four is.
super tough, really bumpy.
That's the bumpiest area of the racetrack,
and it's like heavy braking into this really narrow corridor.
So, yeah, it's just tough.
And our cars don't drive like Cadillacs, right?
I mean, they're on the ground.
They're bouncing everywhere.
They're rough.
Like, I don't think that's what people don't realize when the outside world.
They're like the ride quality in these things are awful, right?
Just they're not, they have shocks and springs, but they're all bottomed out pretty much.
So it's like you're riding on just raw.
odds, you know, so, and street courses makes it tough.
So the most technique, you think?
I think so.
Yeah, I think so.
A lot of areas to just have trouble.
And I think that's why Shane is so good there is because his technique is really good.
And he has a lot of experience on these street courses from his V8 days.
And, you know, he's just able to kind of, he just has a better understanding of it than I think a lot of other people.
And, yeah, a lot of technique here.
And people were like, oh, you know, Shane's the right footbreaker.
I don't think anybody else in the field
does right foot break.
And everyone's like,
well,
just learn what he does,
do what he does.
It would take me 10 years
to get halfway of what Shane can do
with right foot,
like might be done racing
by the time that I figure that out
halfway of how good he is.
So it's just,
it's a tough one to learn.
Do you think you could go,
like we were talking about this
when he came over here from supercars?
Like, I mean,
he was doing everything backwards.
You know what I mean?
Like, do you think you could go
and sit on the right side of the car
and, you know, like,
you could do it?
I mean, I'm saying,
like,
Like, you think you can go over there and be competitive, like, right away?
No.
Hell, no.
That's what I'm saying.
Not even close.
Not even close.
I said a lot of people don't give him credit.
Like, he just came over here and just, like, adapted a completely different driving style, basically.
Are all those guys?
Right foot breakers?
I think a lot of them are over there.
Yeah, because I think they have, a lot of those guys still heel-toe, so they, that's what they do.
But, like, you look at, like, Mark Sambrose, was one of the best V8 drivers ever, came to NASCAR, did his stunt in NASCAR, and then went back and was, like, not even close to what he.
he was.
Yeah. Just being away from it.
It's just really hard. Those guys are really talented at what they do.
And yeah, but it's the same like, you know, Shane on Oval's, right?
He's not used to it. And he's, he's getting way better.
Like the last two months Shane has gotten really, really good at Oval's, I think.
And, but yeah, it's just different worlds, man.
It's hard to, even though you're a racer, it's hard to just go do something completely different.
Yeah, Tommy's pissed because he used to get the race Shane on a weekly basis.
And now Shane's like 10 cars ahead of them.
We got one more guy to race
And as soon as he figures it out
We're going to be our and our own
We gotta keep digging
Who's the other?
35 car
That's because he just runs into everybody
In the beginning
Hey don't talk shit about my guy Riley
Come on now
Yeah
Once he figures it out
Your check come yet
The spot
I mean
He is
I like Riley a lot
I think he's a good
He's a good
He's a good
He's slow down
Slow down Riley
Okay
All right
It's time for shit show
Hall of Fame
We'll nominate somebody each week and fans will get to vote on who gets inducted.
I don't know who won last week.
Andrew, can you tell us?
I think it was, I think it was TJ for fucking up something.
Oh, Pitt Road.
I think we got to start with Balma Gray.
The video I saw, I saw this yesterday was, okay, I'm getting, and correct me if I'm wrong.
Father and son are racing.
Yeah, I think they're related.
And the wife.
The wife races, too.
I don't know.
So we don't know.
One's a lap down and he, like, tried to block the other guy, come to the line or something.
and there was a whole thing.
But then the older gentleman with the big beard,
he come over and...
I don't know why he was pissed.
I think he was.
And he elbow dropped the hood and windshield.
And then something I...
But it was somebody else.
Like, it wasn't even the guy that won that he jumped on.
Like, I didn't understand...
Yeah, I don't know what...
I don't know who was pissed at who or how he understood,
like, I'm bad at this person.
But the elbow drop was...
The people's elbow was great on the hood and windshield.
And then saw something that I thought was really unique
was trying to rip the...
from the windshield side.
And actually got a decent chunk of it.
And then it went to the ground, which was pretty fun.
Oh, man.
It reminded me of when Bluett, John Blewett ripped off Pastriac's plug wires and jumped over the wall at Stafford.
That was a move.
That was a good move.
That's a high IQ move.
He like waved him out and he walked out there.
Like you're going to just like yell at him and he just ripped all the distributors hanging out of the top of the modified.
That's a making no difference, maybe.
Yeah.
Like he had a pit.
go put a new door on it.
You're not going to mess up a hood.
Like, if you're ripping plug wires out, that's pretty good.
Talk to you.
But, yeah, I mean, it's fucking Bowman Gray.
I mean, it's a spectacle.
Like, it's just, it is what it is.
I saw a photo on Derek Krause's story this week at Bowman Gray, and it was a mom and a little girl.
She had to have been no older than five.
And the mom's flipping somebody off as they go by and the daughter's flipping them off as they go by.
I'm like, she's too young for this.
They both had cigarettes in them.
What do you call them?
Sigs?
Sigs in the mouth?
What?
We were talking about drunk sigs the other week.
That's what it was.
I got flipped off by many kids when I was a child at Bowman Gray.
Yeah.
Following their parents, yeah.
I was running in Bandilero.
I was probably like 10.
Kids younger than me flipping me off.
What did you do?
He was there.
You were just there?
Yeah, I just saw it.
I'm like, oh, I'm just going by.
I feel like half those people don't even know who.
They're just doing it just to do it.
What else?
Port Royal.
Port Royal.
A guy drove over the guy's hood.
Did you see that one?
Yeah, let's look at it.
Yeah, let's watch it.
All I see is.
Wow.
Holy shit.
Did you see that?
Lost power that night.
The racetrack was dark.
I did not see that video.
Guy just,
I didn't know what was going on,
but I knew it was going to be bad
because the video starts,
the guy's driving the wrong way
down the front straightaway,
and I'm like, uh-oh.
And he just drives into the corner
and then just kind of,
with the dirt-lake models,
they got that slant.
So he just drove straight up the guy's hood.
Nice.
Parked it.
Stupidity, as always.
What else?
Can I add one into it?
You can add whatever you like, buddy.
I saw a video of, I don't know where it was at.
Did you guys see some guy jump the General League?
The General League.
And like, I don't know.
There was no landing ramp.
God forbid they had a ramp on the other side.
There was no landing ramp.
It was straight, flat concrete.
Blew the door off.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know how the guy survived.
The best was the people that were going after he hit, they went on and they followed him.
And he was probably like 30 feet in the air.
I mean, yeah, it was.
but yeah no landing ramp is never good
I saw the one video where like it's from the backside
like you're watching him drive in the street
and he goes through the fountain
you don't really see him land
but there's a video on the other side
and I'm like holy shit there's no ramp there
I don't know
props to that guy for having the balls
to be like yeah hell yeah
I'm gonna jump this thing
and knowing you're gonna junk it
and like just taking it
I don't know if he was hurt
I mean all my ELs would be
I don't know how many else you have
but they're all gone
I kind of want to throw Riverhead under the bus for their shit show that they decided to pull on Saturday.
Our home track, Riverhead, they used to have bumps below the white line, so you couldn't really run down there.
It was too rough.
And they took them out, I don't know, 10 years ago probably.
And now there's a problem because, like, the track's wearing out, so all the grip is just moving down lower where, you know, you're going to find fresh pavement.
So instead of just putting like a don't run below the line and officiate it, they said, like, you know, well, there's no rule.
but if you get a creegis, we're going to call it,
so there's a rule.
Well, they decided this week that they were just going to dump a bunch of speedy drive
below the white line and let them race.
And I talked to Tammy.
Timmy's like, yeah, it didn't make any difference.
He goes, I was down there the whole time.
He's like, now you just take the speedy drive and throw it up in the other groove.
And it's just a shit show in itself.
Yeah, they had that place pretty prepped, you know, a year or two ago.
Yeah.
And I guess some people that don't really understand started complaining about it.
Now it's a one groove track.
They got to work on that place a little bit
because it kind of took some race in a way.
Yeah, for sure.
They didn't spray for the jail race.
They haven't sprayed it all year.
Really?
And it's just a one groove track,
so that's why they're running down there.
Just going down there and find it.
It's no good.
They need to work on it.
They need to work on a lot of things over there.
No, no, it's pretty good.
Just work on a track a little bit.
So we could agree to disagree.
Nothing new here.
What else we got from their weekend?
I mean, you put a 47 car pile up and turn three on there.
It's probably a big of a shit show.
Yeah.
Ryan getting hooked in defense for the 14th time in the last two years.
It was another shit show.
Luckily, things didn't go white this time.
That was good.
Jesus.
At least now we know it's up.
I forget where the one go.
It'll come back in a second.
I'm familiar with this feeling.
That's all right.
Damn, I forget.
There was one I was really concerned.
I mean, they were all really hard.
But I can't remember where the one was.
Was it Charlotte maybe?
Or I don't remember.
It was Daytona.
Daytona was big.
Mine?
Yeah.
I can't remember.
He don't remember.
I know you don't remember.
Daytona was large.
Yeah.
I got, you know, I feel like every time we run that advanced auto parts scheme, I just
get absolutely wrecked.
Like, it's just bad luck on super speedways.
So it's on our car in Daytona.
So we'll see if the street continues.
Maybe that'll be where you can turn it around.
Well, I feel so bad because the last two races with advance was Talladega.
And I got caught up in that wreck coming to
pit road, junked, destroyed, like lap 30, and then, you know, see all the advanced people
there.
You know, hey, Taladega didn't grow great.
You know, we're looking forward to having a good night time.
I had left fucking lap 50 again.
I mean, that thing, that advanced scheme this year has not seen over 100 lapses.
Has it combined made 100 laps yet this year.
Got a lot of TV time after it's gotten wrecked.
It's always good when you fold the hood up, too, because it's a little better angle for, you know, the
positioning.
They can see it better.
They can see it better down when they're coming straight at you.
Hopefully the tide's turned with that scheme at Daytona.
So we'll see.
We'll see.
Okay, so we got Bomingray.
Boreen, Port Royal.
Port Royal.
Riverhead.
General Lee.
We don't have to put Riverhead on there.
We could put the Big Red.
He just felt like he just needed to.
He just needed to fish.
It was a shit show.
I thought it was a shit show, so I needed to put it out there.
But generally and the big Rick.
The big one.
All right.
You guys can go vote on our Twitter poll for the Shitshow Hall of Fame on who you want to be inducted
alongside T.J.
Oh, man.
All right.
DBC picks.
The guests have won for the third straight week in a row.
No matter what.
Ryan, respectfully, I hope you suck.
He sucked the last time.
Yeah, who did I pick last time?
True X.
You picked True X.
Yeah, yeah.
Martin.
Yeah.
Good pick.
He finished 38th.
Damn.
But you go last.
He goes last anyway.
Yeah.
Freddie, you're first.
First, I will take the obvious choice.
SVG.
Fuck.
Well, that's stupid.
How did you save him?
You guys didn't know.
I was playing chess, not.
checkers last week. I had Lugano a wreck early so I can get the first pick this one.
Yeah, that's right. That's right. I should have, I should have known.
No, no, no, no. Oh, is it your turn? Thomasville.
Oh, shit, okay.
Don't get, let me get something here. Do you got to pick Bubba? No.
Fitipaldi's not on your list.
Cindric. I am going to take Alex Bowman.
Oh, I'm going to take McDowell. I got McDowell. I like that pick.
Yeah, yeah.
Like that.
Who do you all have...
We got to talk about these
The brackets.
Oh, yeah.
Let's go through the bracket picks.
Let's go through the brackets.
Can we make this wording any smaller?
Hang on, Tom.
Can you hold my paper for me?
I mean, I can barely read this and I have young eyes.
So we're pretty much at a place now that it's going to be...
We're in a better place.
Technique.
Yeah.
A better place.
Good rain.
Is it supposed to?
Oh, God.
50% chance.
It rains every year.
50% chance.
That's 80%.
That's right.
Yeah.
It's 100%, yeah.
I feel at a place like that that's pretty cool, though.
Yeah, I, you know, changes it.
Twice, though.
Yeah.
You know, it's like, I just wish it was, like, dry there for once.
But spotting in the rain is awesome.
Let me tell you that.
Yeah.
Fuck.
Ty Dylan, Bragg Haslowski.
Ty Dillon going to keep a street going.
He's going to beat TJ's favorite driver.
Ty did good at Mexico, right?
He ran good.
Yeah, he was good.
I don't know.
I don't think he finished great, but he ran well.
He's in the top 10 for most of the race.
I say Thai.
Mm-hmm.
You're going tie there?
Ties are going to go?
Who would be the favorite though?
Brad would be the favorite.
Brad would obviously probably.
Well, he's 17.
He's 17.
But I'm just saying that that doesn't matter.
That's seating is a joke.
Bowman and Bubba.
Obviously Bubba.
Next one.
Poor Emerson.
We're going to be if Emerson makes it to Sonoma, we're in trouble.
Who?
Oh, I want Bowman.
I want Dylan doing this week.
Dylan beats Brad.
I think we can outrun him at Sonoma.
We gotta be Bowman this week.
John Hunter, Nemechek, and Chase Elliott.
Oh, Chase.
I think that can go either way.
I mean, the legacy car's been passed.
John Hunter ran, he ran good at Mexico.
Yeah, he was top five, right?
Yeah, he was top five.
It's been good.
That's actually going to be a sneaky good battle.
Like, it's going to be a better battle than people think when they see that matchup.
I'm still going to go chase.
Yeah.
But I do think John Hunter would run pretty.
He was running good there last year.
Yeah, as well.
Jones and Stenhouse.
I feel like that one will be like...
Man, it's going to be a good battle, which is not going to be near the front.
No, Jones is good.
Stenhouse finished six at Chicago last year.
Yeah.
I think he'll be a good pick.
Oh, and if you get a little legacy team battle in the next round, if Nemechek and Jones, just wreck each other?
Yeah.
That's Sonoma.
That'd be perfect.
Gregson and turn 11.
I got Blanian.
Oh, no.
I don't know how to...
I'm out, bud.
I don't know if you got...
Dave's...
got a better chance of winning this way.
Dave,
at Dave Blaney,
at a road course?
Absolutely not.
He can start now
and he still won't win.
Now you see where I get my
road course prowess from.
Not a road course guy Dave
back in the day?
Him and Dick Trickle.
I put him right next to each other.
Who was the next one?
The 70s?
Oh, I didn't say Gregson or Priests.
I think Priest is going to get that one.
Yeah, Pris is solid.
Preas is good.
Host of R. Redick.
It's hard to go against Reddick.
The 77.
Yeah, he's pretty good.
He should have won this.
I say over under on a 77 car, he takes out three people.
Well, I don't know.
Ryan, could you help us with this one here?
Let's get a sidebed on this, Freddie.
Let me tell you something.
I'm picking Reddick just because the social media guy piss Ryan off this week.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
And plus it's the end of the month, right?
Your bonus, because you're going to pick Redick.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that's true, too.
Yeah, I need Ryan.
Over under.
Seventy-7 car takes three guys out.
So you send it a two and a half or three and a half?
is you got to.
Two and a half.
Two and a half.
I'll go over.
Copy.
I'll go over and I don't even know he's going to do it on purpose.
It's just going to just happen.
He doesn't even know.
He has no clue.
Almondinger and Gibbs.
They're both really good road races.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I feel like almonddinger probably.
I just don't know.
I think that's the obvious choice.
Depends on who's on the pickbox for the 54.
Ty Gibbs like 17 laps.
I noticed that this week.
Chicago.
What was,
on TV? Like Gabe Hart was basically calling the race, right?
They said Tyler's the crew chief, but Gabe Hart was
kind of doing the strategy stuff? Is that...
Yeah, I mean, think about it. It's pretty smart, right? All the other teams
teammates are in the playoffs, right? Let's throw it the strongest
possible situation
that, you know, I'll go with Gibbs because of that.
Yeah, I'm going to go Gibbs. He was good.
Really good Mexico City. I like AJ.
And he led a lot.
Smith and Busher.
I mean, Zane is good. He used to win a bunch of truck races on the road courses.
so he's not bad, but
Bush is pretty good.
Man, yeah, RFK still has all three
of their guys in it.
Damn.
Just realized that.
RFK's got three,
legacy's got there too.
Colleagues got both the hairs.
All the powerhouses are still alive.
Only one winner.
Only one winner in it.
Now I don't even know who I think would win the whole thing.
No, I mean, now it's
going to be up for grabs.
I mean, it's just going to be.
I just have a feeling that
you're going to get someone
at a top 16 winning
Sunday, Freddie.
This week?
Me too.
It's going to be the guy
wherever SVG is in points.
30 or something like that.
I hope he wins.
I hope he goes on a hell of a run here.
He's 10th in points.
I hope he goes on a hell.
I hope he has three wins by the time we get to Dover.
The thing that really drove me crazy about this bracket this week
is people talking about they don't like.
What's not to like?
It does nothing.
Like there's no downs.
side to it.
We don't want to be like other sports.
Who cares?
What is the downside to this?
It's just something we can talk about and somebody's going to win a bunch of money at the
end of it.
It's not that deep.
What are you upset about?
If you're upset about this, you're a little too sensitive.
It just shows that no matter what.
People are going to bitch about everything.
Where are we going on modified races at all this week?
Smart Tour Carraway.
Saturday night.
We're both at Carraway this week.
Were you guys there on Saturday?
Saturday and
yeah
cars tour
Wednesday
at midnight
yeah
hopefully on
I mean I'll still be there
there
there hasn't been a race
that ended
before midnight
at Carraway
in two years
three years
you have any interest
in a run
I mean I know you started
in super
as the first late model
race I were watching
you run you were upside down
at Concord I think
yeah
but ended up
do you ever have the hitch
to get back in
either late mall stock
or super or anything
yeah I got
I get asked all the time
of like hey can you come
run this race or that race and I just can't really do it.
Not allowed.
Not allowed.
But it is what it is.
I enjoy it, but I just don't really get the chance to do it.
But it's unfortunate.
Oh, well.
I think you need to buy, start a team.
Yeah.
It sounds like he's going to start a cup team.
I sponsor a sprint car.
Sponsor a sprint car.
Dad and Dale run.
Are they still run?
How much do your dad run?
Dad doesn't run anymore.
Dale's running his car.
They've won a couple times this year
Up at Sharon, which has been fun.
I'm not sure where they're running next.
Probably be a couple weeks.
But yeah, they've been enjoying it.
The sheer physics of Dale getting in a sprint car
still kind of baffled me.
I mean, the guys eight feet tall.
I don't understand how that pulls.
I pulled that off.
It was good to see him on the Spiderstandan in Charlotte.
He's been in a couple races with Leah.
Yeah, he drives Almendinger's bus.
Yeah.
So Dale's been around a lot,
which has been pretty cool to have Dale around.
All right.
Well, Chicago, I don't know, anything you got, you look very excited to be going.
Hey, you know, I mean, are you letting it talk.
How much of this cut are you getting out of the sale of the team?
I heard some big numbers on this deal.
I have no idea.
I got told the same time the internet said.
I mean, I'm leaving after this.
It's going to find out.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know any details.
I've seen it have come out, TJ.
Congratulations, Jake.
I mean, look.
I wish I had as big as you know what's as he did to to keep it going like he did.
It's, uh, he just laid it on a line, man, and I just couldn't do it.
I just, I couldn't sleep at night anymore with, with what was going on.
And he, he, he powered through it, man, and he's going to hold the power to him.
And he built a small empire there, believe it or not.
I mean, people don't understand that, but he had, we have the best of, you know, we all have the best
the same stuff, right? Ryan, with the same parts and pieces. It's how you put them together and
the end result. But everything's sitting there and the next guy with the next big Cohoon is is
TJ. Yeah. I mean, that guy, he took chance. I mean, he was right there with Jeff Dickerson
through, you know, they're the ones that started Spire and built it up and got to where he got
and he got bought out at Spire. They just had a couple differences of opinions there on the growth
and how it was going with the company. And next thing you know, here he comes.
like a ball of fire ready to go again.
He's a good guy. He's hard worker.
He's got a lot of long-term vision going on.
So we'll see what happens.
I'm excited.
And I don't know the term length, but I know Cody's supposed to stay on and drive, right?
He'll be driving the rest of the year and next year for sure.
Yeah.
And I mean, listen, you're talking about building an empire.
There were some big numbers getting thrown around the garage in the rumor mill north of nine figures.
He did. Rick did well.
He did well.
So it's good to see, and that just shows you what the value of these charters is just going to continue to grow.
And hopefully they keep it that way.
Ryan, thank you for dropping by.
Thanks for having me.
We've changed your name now.
Francis.
Francis.
I might just start calling you Frank.
Let's just, we'll do it.
Can we get a, get his spotter to call him Francis?
Francis.
Timmy is too nervous to do any of that.
Do you know I'm your secondary spotter up there, right?
Oh yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Fidoa is, you cannot stand next to Fidua because you will be distracted because nobody in the world moves around more than Fido.
He's fucking jiv and this way, that way, he's over the rail. I'm like, Pocono. I stand next to him a Pocono. He has got the chicken wing elbows out. I had a spot like through his arm one time because he's just, he doesn't like, every rest of us are all like tucked in so everybody can see.
Not Timmy's chicken winged out there. Channel 2 he's over here talking. I'm like, God, Timmy, put your arms down.
Yeah, we would pit it in front of you at Pocono, so I'm like, you got to let me know.
And I'm like, you didn't, you took two tires at one time.
We came in and we kind of messed you up a little bit.
I'm like, you didn't tell me two tires.
That one was close with the rear changer.
Yes.
I forget his, I don't know his name.
But like, yeah, it was just one of those things timed out.
I had to come around the 24, so I'm cock-eyed in there, and I'm deep.
Y'all come around us, so you're cock-eyed and deep, just the way it works out.
And like, it's just one of those timing things where, like, right sides, drop the jack.
I'm going.
They're just coming around the right rear.
I knew it was going to be tight.
And, like, I knew I was going to miss the car.
But, like, when he was coming around, like, I checked up.
And he checked up.
And, like, we made eye contact.
Because I'm not going to hit anybody.
Like, I'm not.
I'll stop for you.
I'm not going to hit a person.
And, like, he took one step back.
I was like, okay.
And I went.
And I messaged him on Instagram.
I was like, man, I'm really happy we didn't meet.
because that would have been good good heads out by you by knowing so oh man that's funny well i know
tommy saw a bunch dbc fans in white mountain obviously we saw a bunch in atlanta this week um looking
forward to seeing more ryan good luck this week thanks um i do a shout out to my sister aaron
and her husband billy they had their first baby so i'm now officially an uncle uh bela nice
uncle freddie yeah she's a little early a couple months early had some complications but everybody
seems like they're doing fine. So hopefully that continues on. And I told her she was born on Saturday.
And it was the rain delays and wrecked 27 times. Like, I don't think we're going to be. We're off to a bad start.
But hopefully we'll correct it. But yeah, anyway, thanks for listening. We will be back next week.
See you in. See you. See you.
