Did you see his quote on the radio?
SVG's like, I'm leading.
What the fuck do I do now?
That's pretty good.
I just listen to radio on the way over here on Sirius.
And his interview after the truck race, he's like, I spun out someone, sorry about that.
He just doesn't.
It was Luke.
It was my kid.
He was like, sorry about that.
He just moved on.
The following is a production of Dirtmovie.
This is the first time you've read the fucking sheet all year.
A bird's shit on my head.
That is what reaction theater is for.
Getting hammers and calling in.
What did they speak?
Go.
I don't know.
Flax and crescent.
It's going to be gripped up.
Absolutely.
It's two idiots.
Bubba did not do shit, unfortunately.
Period.
Period.
So fucking bad.
I'm not dead.
Tommy had everybody thinking I was dead.
What's up, everybody?
Freddie Craft.
Welcome back to Doorpumper Clear.
I spotted for Bubba Wallace and Gio Ruggiero this week.
First time I did two races.
a while. But yeah, I am back. I am still alive. Unlike what Tommy was leading people. I did not lose
50 pounds. I can still speak. I can still eat. I can still drink non-alcoholic beverages.
You've been such a pleasure. He really has. You have been. I mean, you're a whole different
person. Yeah, thank you. There was a model of saying, man, you got to stop drinking and stop speaking.
What it could do for your life. I don't even fucking drink that much. Oh, my God. Oh, here we go.
Here we go. Okay, listen, you want to start telling him a drink. No, no, no, no. I just check.
Yeah, let's not.
How are you, Tom?
How are you today?
I'm doing good, man.
Yeah, we had a decent night.
We left our driver out the whole last stage and got our money's worked on that last set of tires.
But, yeah, everything was good.
It was a good weekend.
Great race, man.
I mean, we got lucky with our guy we got here to talk about.
But the crowd was great, man.
It was just a, I don't know, man.
It was just a short track.
It feels so electric.
Yeah.
I mean, it's just, that's one of the places it's just like, it's a short track.
Right? And it's one of those places that you have to be there to enjoy it to see all the race and all around the track because there was so much going on.
The guy that's here today, I mean, he obviously hauled ass stunk to show up a little bit.
But that's what Wilkesboro is. It's always been known for that.
But when you got a good car, you can do it.
But I love that place.
Yeah. Carson, how was your weekend? You got to spend some time up there?
I did. Yeah. I also spent some time in the infield care center on Friday, but nonetheless, prevent.
prevailed. Yeah, I fell out because of the heat.
Are you serious? Straight up.
So you can't go to the cold. You fall out in the mountains.
We had oxygen. We got oxygen tanks up there.
Okay, but I was at like high elevation with the oxygen situation.
And now we are falling out. Yeah. Yeah. Apologies, Denny Hamlin. I threw up beside your trailer.
So I hope that's okay. Did you go out Thursday night? Was that the, was that the pre-tiser?
No, I actually did not even tear down because I knew that I couldn't be behind the eight ball on dehydration.
But Sunday turned out a lot better. Me and Dale had bring
niece to work day and I got to hang out with him and go see like the TV booth and I thought
I was going to just like watch the start and then you know find somewhere else to hang out but to
Tommy's point like there was so much going on so much to watch that next thing you know I look
down and it's like 120 laps in and I'm still standing there just like geeked out watching so
it was cool it's fun and joining us today as Tommy mentioned race winner like he said snuck up the show
I think you lit 320 something laps last night of the 450 uh Joey Lagano welcome
I think you did this with TJ back in the day, right?
It's been a while.
It's been a long time probably.
I don't get invited back very often.
It's fall.
Probably.
We probably invite you all the time.
He just filtered all the requests.
He's just deleting them.
How does the Lugano family celebrate a win these days?
Stay out until 6 in the morning and burn everything down.
No.
Well, we had a lot of fun during the post-race burnout.
That was fun.
I was doing a burnout around the backstretch.
What in Hudson think?
I saw my dad in Hudson.
and I was like, come on over there.
Pick them up, you know.
So, you know, at first, it's kind of funny watching him because I'm in the car.
And I see Hudson jump around.
He goes to the right side with the windows in the car.
And my dad goes over there, and he don't know how to take the window out.
And he goes like, what do I do?
I'm like, pick the thing.
He pops it out and gets in there.
And then I told him to hold on.
I don't think I gave him enough time to find somewhere to hold on.
He's like, whoa.
But we had some fun and some donuts and had a good time.
And the rest of my family was at home, my wife and the rest of the kids.
So it was just a just grandpa and Hudson, which is kind of fun is exactly what we did when we went the All-Star race there.
It was the same way.
My dad picked up Hudson on the way up to Wilkesboro.
And I mean, that's what makes us win so much fun, though, is when you have your family there.
And those memories, those photos.
And then this morning when you wake up and you see the rest of the kids.
kids and, you know, one of them watched a race.
The other two, yeah, the other two were sleeping.
What about the other six?
I mean, I had to kind of think about like, I know, gee, I know.
That's what I'm saying.
I was trying to do the math.
How many is there?
I got a handful.
One was with me.
One was watching.
Three were sleeping.
We got it.
Okay.
This want to make sure we got this.
All your ducks are in Arroyo.
I had to learn we won this morning.
You know, you know the names?
Yeah, I got to.
Now, don't ask me the birthday.
I've been in that situation.
Yeah, you roll to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription.
They're like, what's the birthday?
You're like, hey.
Let me call my wife.
Yeah, exactly.
Obviously, you've run well at Wilkesboro since we've gone back.
You've got to be heading in there with confidence.
But do you think the way the season has been going for you,
that were you going to show up and have this much speed when you got there?
Yeah, I mean, I was, you always hope so, right?
I mean, it's been our best track the last few years.
And, you know, we did the off-season tests there.
You know, they did the ECU test, and then they had the horsepower test in the winter.
And we worked on our cars some there as well, and it seemed like we got it better.
And it's hard sometimes to commit to what you learned at the test when you were so good there last year.
But we did.
And, you know, I just proved that we did some good job testing.
You know, Paul does a good job test.
That's like his, if I was to pick one number one strength of Paul Wolf, it would be his discipline at a test to really make sure we learn stuff and be able to apply it, right, the things that matter.
And so he was able to do that again.
And obviously, we got the car even better than it was last year.
So super proud of that.
Obviously, you know, when we started practice, we were pretty loose, but we had decent pace.
And that's usually a good sign, right?
when your balance is off and you're still in the ball game from a pace perspective.
You're like, all right, we tighten this thing up.
I think we're going to be pretty dang good, I think, you hope.
And I mean, you're like this year, though, you're kind of like, maybe, I hope so.
You know, we haven't had much speed lately.
And so to see everything kind of come together like we feel like it should every week,
definitely felt really nice.
How much confidence does this give you heading into the next month of our schedule where you see places like Iowa,
Richmond, Loudon, places you were strong out last year, you know, does that carry us to
the chase at least, you know, how much confidence that give you now heading into those races?
I mean, it definitely helps. There's no doubt. I mean, but the thing is, you know, as much as,
you know, it's a relief to win one and lead a bunch of laps and all that, we're still 15th in
points. Like, it's not a comfortable spot by no means. And it's also not even close to the goal, right?
The goal when we start Dayton every year is to win the championship, it's not to make the chase,
you know, but we found ourselves in the spot that we're in right now because of a lot of the
things they've been through and the lack of speed that we've had. But the,
the last month things are starting to come together.
Chicago land was a good race for a mile and a half for us.
Like that was good to see some pace there.
It gives us some hope for Indy this weekend.
And then, you know, like you said, the short tracks, the schedule that's coming up right now,
that's our bread and butter.
And we need to capitalize on those opportunities.
We got one down and, you know, hopefully we can capitalize on a few more.
Yeah, I was going to ask you because I know, obviously everybody wants to make the chase,
but I'm sure for you just making the chase isn't enough.
You know, how much of a concern is that, that half the chase is.
chase races are mile and a half essentially.
Yeah, I mean, it's going to be tough, right?
And also where we are in points, you know, as so when the year started, we need to be, you know,
seventh in points at the furthest back, I feel like, to win the championship when the chase starts.
So, you know, I think it's possible to get up to 10th, you know, and maybe better.
I mean, if we get our friends like we did last week, we can get it all the way.
But, you know, I do think, you know, we can scratch and claw our way up to.
where we can be a little bit closer and, you know, you have a run like Tony Stewart had
years ago. Yeah, you can, you can definitely get through it. And then, you know, racing's just,
it goes through cycles, you know, and there's times that you're, you're ahead and there's times
you're behind all in the same season. And the number one thing is just you got to stay around.
You got to stick around. You got to stay alive. You got to keep yourself in the game for when
your cars do get good. And, you know, if you can do that long enough, you can find yourself winning
championships like we've done in the past. That's how we've always done it, right? He's kind of,
you know, struggle, struggle, and then all of a sudden it comes to life, and we're still in the
game, and we're able to win. So I think we're kind of at that point of the year, hopefully,
that we can get the ball rolling. You mentioned, I think, the most important thing, the discipline,
the discipline that you and Paul have, and how he carries himself, right, with the team, right? There's
no give up, right? There's no, like, no explosion. I mean, you know, Paul can explode. Don't get me wrong,
But, you know, just keeping the faith and keeping the confidence with him and the guys,
I mean, that's got to help you, right?
That's got to have your conversations that just the two of you have, you know,
away from the race team, just you guys have been through all this, like you said,
it's time to go now, right?
And you guys have been way better in the past, right?
This is probably your worst start in a very long time.
But now you know, right?
But again, it's going to, the past now is going to help you guys, I feel, right?
Because you've been through it all, right?
Paul's been through it all.
I mean, in my eyes, Paul Wolf is a Hall of Famer, right?
He's already won three championships, right?
He's everything he touches on a race car ends up beautiful, right?
That's just Paul Wolf, right?
But I just think him keeping the team together during these times
because you guys haven't been in this position, right?
Right?
Yeah.
And keeping that faith and keeping the confidence in the guys focused, I think is what's
going to elevate you guys to the end of the year.
Yeah, I think so.
And it's easy to sit here and say that, right?
It's harder to do it, as you know.
And, you know, I mean, there's been a lot of tough conversations, you know, here
recently of just like, where are we missing it?
And there's no clear answer, right?
because if you look at it, all the right parts and pieces are there, right?
I got great people around me.
I got all the right things.
And you're like, gosh, why are we not running good?
Like, I remember sitting at the time and I said,
Paul, if they gave me the opportunity to change anything I wanted on this team,
I wouldn't change anything.
I don't know what to do.
Like, I don't know why we're not winning right now.
And so you obviously look inward, right?
And you start looking at yourself and you're like, I don't know why I'm not doing it.
You know, like everything is here.
And you have the opportunity of a lifetime and it's not working.
but, you know, just, you just keep grinding away.
I mean, it's just how I've done it.
My whole career is you just keep going, right?
I just said in the media center.
I just kept running.
You keep running and eventually, you know, you get somewhere.
It's not fun.
It's not, you know, this is the best Monday I've had in a long time.
It's usually because you're here.
Yeah, exactly.
It wouldn't help too.
That was going to be the case no matter what happened last night.
I thought about the smart.
I was like, oh, I got to wake up.
I was up at seven anyway.
So I was ready to roll.
What do you think?
I mean, obviously, I think that you were probably maybe the reason why the format changed.
What did you think about the format changed?
Because there'd be a lot of people right now very concerned if we were still in the old format
after watching last night's race.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, the rules are the rules.
Right.
Whatever they are, we got to play by them.
And we did a great job over the last 10 years of the way the playoffs were on capitalizing the way it went.
And we showed up when it mattered the most and we won three championships because of it.
Yeah.
Period.
Don't hate me for that.
Right.
I mean, that's just those are the rules.
Don't hate the rules.
And now the rules are different.
We've got to change our ways a little bit.
And so far this year we haven't.
It's kind of getting towards the playoff time or chase time.
and you're starting to see the 22 show back up
and this is kind of normal,
but we just got to start a little sooner.
We're starting a little late on the game,
but hopefully we could not.
School's out, right?
I don't know what it is.
Her coming.
The only other thing I wanted to talk to you about
before we move on to this weekend in particular was
you and Coleman, obviously you guys are really good friends,
but your radio, you want so much information.
Like, I would have lost my voice 10 years ago.
If I was fun for you,
I don't know how many people have ever gotten a chance to listen,
but if you ever get a chance at home to listen to the 22 audio,
Coleman is just constantly feeding you information every lap.
I mean, gaps, like just nonstop.
And how did you decide that's something that you wanted?
I just, I don't know.
I mean, I feel like Coleman does a fantastic job of giving me information that's useful.
You know, some drivers don't like that.
Some drivers just shut up and let me focus.
But I'm the type of person that, like, I need somebody with me all the time.
I hate being alone.
I want somebody to be there.
Somebody's got 17 kids.
Exactly.
I'm never alone.
Never.
You see me by myself.
Something weird.
Call somebody.
Call somebody for me.
Call someone for me.
Call Coleman.
But I don't think I've made a lap without Coleman.
Actually, I did.
Yesterday I made a lap without him speaking.
And I was like, hmm, he's changing his battery.
Which is incredible because other than maybe Atlanta, I never change a battery during the race.
And I guarantee Coleman does every week.
Yeah.
It's constant information.
And I just, I like it that way.
Like, I want to know everything.
And it helps me, right?
Like, I feel like I'm not typically the fastest driver on the racetrack.
So I have to find ways to be smarter than everybody.
And Coleman does a really good job at giving me information to try to make.
me more educated behind the wheel to make better decisions. That's how we win.
So am I the most talented guy out there? No, I know that. But I have to try other ways
to try to beat these guys. And Coleman does a great job at helping me do that. And it's constant
information through there, right? And honestly, it works for me too, because Paul's a pretty quiet guy.
He's very smart. And his words are very direct. Like they're intentional.
but you're not going to get a lot of back and forth.
And I'm a person that's going to think out loud.
I'm going to talk a lot.
And Coleman helps with that part of us.
So between the three of us,
we're able to on the radio,
be able to get everything we need to get out of it.
Yeah.
And I have to get Coleman a shout out.
Coleman actually filled in for me on the O'Reilly car
for the weeks that I missed.
So I really appreciate him doing that and helped Dean out a lot.
We never skipped a beat and jump right in there.
It was just a blessing for me to have somebody like Coleman
available to when I needed somebody to fill.
fill in because, I don't know, he's slacking off hanging out with Joey, usually on Saturdays, I guess.
So I was able to steal him for a few weeks.
He's a great asset to our team.
And he's a lot of fun to be around.
Oh, yeah.
So he's a blast.
He's a mess, though.
We win the race.
He's a mess.
He's a mess.
We grew up together.
We were best of friends that you can possibly be.
And yeah, get out in Victory Lane.
And you see everyone, where's Coleman?
Coleman's nowhere to be found.
And then what's what I figured?
I'm like, he drove the Asheville.
And then like, I don't know, it's like 45 minutes later, there's Coleman standing in victory.
Where were you?
He's like, oh, I dropped my stuff off at the car.
And I'm like, why would you just come?
Ah, you know, I wanted to get rid of my stuff first.
Okay, whatever.
Oh, man, that sounds like him.
Yeah, before we move out, I did have to give a shout out to Eric Brennan.
Eric filled in the last couple weeks from me on here as well.
He did a phenomenal job.
and unfortunately for Eric, he has probably cemented himself as the new sub
for when any of us are out.
So he fucked up and now he's going to be on a call for us.
But I didn't want to give a shout out to him and Bozy and everybody else that kind of filled in for me when I was out.
Hey, everybody, this is Dale Jr.
And for the latest DBC gear, go to shop.dirtymo Media.com.
We've added some new shirts.
There's one called Win or lose.
We're drinking booze.
Everything seems to be about drinking here at DirtyMo Media.
Go check it out now.
Carson, do you take us to Wilkesboro this weekend?
All right.
Truck race, Chandler Smith wins with the largest margin of victory ever on a short track in the truck series.
Man, those 38 and 34 were lights out in that race.
I mean, I don't know how much you got to watch it, but they, I mean, they were just unbeatable, honestly.
I mean, it was once the 38 got out front, Gio was second.
I was like, all right, man, just kind of pace yourself.
Don't bring your shit up.
He's going to run into traffic.
Once he runs into traffic, he'll come back to us and we'll see if we can race them.
And we never fucking saw him.
He cut right through that traffic pretty quick.
He was so good on the bottom of one and two
that he can get through traffic way better than everybody else.
So he could use that to his advantage.
But, yeah, those two cars were, trucks were really good.
I think there's a lot to, when you get out front
and you start managing your car or truck in this case.
And once you get to traffic,
that's when the tire advantage of you saving the tires
really comes into play because you've got to use them to pass these guys.
And if you've been able to save enough, that's where you start to put the gap to second place.
It's not when it's in clean air.
It's only like, you know, half a tenth here, maybe a tenth if it's a good lap, right?
And you kind of just slowly maybe grow the lead.
But when you're able to catch lap traffic and have something left in the tank,
that's when you can put it like a half a second in a lap, right, just by clearing someone.
And maybe the second place car is running a little harder.
and he's taken, you know, two laps to clear a lap car, right?
Or maybe he can't run the bottom of the racetrack when his top was more working for him.
So, like, I think that's where the big advantage came.
Yeah.
And you've seen at the end of the race, like, he just kept, like, he wasn't trying hard.
Like, he's just passing cars.
And the gap just naturally grew ridiculously large.
There was one radio clip over there yelling at him.
I'm like, knock it off.
Like, he's like, I'm not going any fast.
I'm not trying to go fast.
He just had so much less than.
He's been good there for, you know, since.
And that truck, those two trucks have been
maybe the two best on the racetrack.
You know, the 11 and our truck have been really good.
But I think those two guys consistently
have had the fastest trucks maybe.
I mean, honestly, did you,
I mean, Luke, truck race.
Sucked.
From the beginning, from soon as he unloaded,
it was the worst truck there.
Yeah, not a very good.
I'm not very happy right now.
I got a lot of stuff to do here after this show.
But move on.
Tommy looked to me.
There was, wow, a couple trucks went home, right?
I know, like, we were giving, I was giving Huffman shit.
He went home.
And then during the race, I was like, Luke might have been better off, not making this one.
I mean, he made the race because he knows how to race and qualify, but it's just aggravating, man.
And the problem is, like, he did get turned around, but like, not.
But it wasn't, it wasn't SVG's fault.
The problem was you have that, you don't have speed, so you end up having to do shit that you don't want to do, like, wave around.
And now you're just praying for a caution.
You don't get it.
Now you're even more in the way because your tires are way older than the guys that were.
We're already faster than you, so you're just trying to do everything you can to stay out of the way, and it's just not a good day.
I mean, he's set fast time on the pro race, led most of it, finished fourth.
I mean, kid knows how to drive up.
We just got to fix his truck.
Sorry subject.
All right.
What about the-
Don't clear your throat, damn it.
No, you're not supposed to.
I can.
The doctor said, nobody's supposed to.
I don't have two lips on my vocal cords.
You will.
Nobody's allowed.
If you keep doing that, you're going to.
I hope I do, and then I won't have to see you assholes every Monday for a month.
They keep on them tulips.
I had tulips on my vocal cords.
I was what I mean Tommy
been calling him
Jolips on his vocal cords
In season challenge
ending with Ryan Blaney
and Toddy G
that's gonna be excited
Yeah no yeah Todd beat
He ran good man
Really good I look good
Yeah
He beat Bowman I think
Oh we'll talk about Bowman in a minute
Yeah
What a guy he is
One of my favorites last night
He was a lot of people
About three quarters of the field favorite
But yeah that's also
Todd Gill and another
Another Cinderella deal
Where we had
Who was it last year?
It was tie and tie.
It was tie and tie.
It made it all the way to the finals
last year, right?
Yeah.
So,
and anything that happened,
can't pass.
So he might just get in front of them somehow.
That would be cool.
I hope Todd would say.
Yeah,
Cup race,
somebody dominated the whole thing.
I don't remember anything
that happened after that.
Me either.
It was hot.
It was hot.
Man,
it was hot all weekend.
Yeah.
But it was.
It was hot as it was,
though.
The fans were there.
Oh,
it was awesome.
I mean,
I don't know.
I remember.
the first stage of the race, I was like,
geez, I am freaking smoking inside this garden.
You look, everyone's there having a good old time.
And their drink is there.
You had a 10-second lead.
You probably like, yeah.
How are these guys having fun?
There's Aunt Jen out there?
I'd tell you it was crazy.
As after the race, I went to the post-race show
they had out there, and they had a bunch of fans
behind there.
These people were hydrated with not
water.
Right now.
Yeah.
And they were fired up.
Like,
I mean,
it was a long day
to be out in the sun.
Oh, yeah.
These people haven't checked up a bit.
And they were screaming and yelling.
And it was great.
They were cheering for me.
That was cool.
That was new.
That was a new one.
It must have been real drunk.
I was sitting next to Junior.
So I was like,
this is kind of cool.
Dale.
I don't know.
Did you know what the other side feels like,
but this is pretty awesome.
I can always tell.
A driver intro is.
Like, is that Bubba or Joey?
I can't tell.
I know.
It's always, there's two you can pick out.
Even Denny's kind of falling off of the epic boo crowd.
I was like, but it's disappointing.
We need to get back to Boo and Denny some more.
But yeah, I mean, it was a, for us, it was a, I thought it was a fun race.
We had a pretty good car.
Other guys probably disagreed because it was still hard to pass.
But I felt like you could race kind of everywhere, kind of just go, you know, SVG had the bottom, really, very, very bottom rolling.
on the fucking apron into one.
There was just, Blaney was really ripping the bottom in the middle of the race.
Like, we were all up top running around.
He was just creeping around the bottom, passing everybody.
I was like, this fucking asshole.
That's a total right, man.
Yeah.
He's always down right.
He had a start.
He had a dang catfish on the bottom.
He started dead last and I watched him.
He drove up to about 12.
The car should come out, drove up about six.
But that car's tongue was hanging out by the time.
Yeah, he got to around us.
He kind of stalled out.
It was just, I think he had to use their help by then.
So you guys, you and the 11 would pretty much check out at the point, at late in the race,
and it was in the time to pit.
When the 11 car pitted early, because normally that's not the case that first two guys don't pit.
Normally it's the third or fourth, trying to change the strategy a little bit,
you know, trying to gain some couple seconds on the leaders.
But when he pitted, what came over to radio?
What, like, what did you guys talk about?
Just pit next lap.
Yeah.
You know, he just couldn't afford to let him get ahead of us.
So, yeah, I was just pit immediately.
Yeah, so, I mean, he jumped us, right, on the short cycle.
And, you know, I'm sure that's why they did that.
And he can, right?
Like, he's in a points position that if the caution comes out, eh, oh, well.
Yeah, that was going to be my point.
He didn't care, but that was a super gamble for you guys,
because normally the leader, especially with that big of a lead on the rest of the field,
you can wait.
Right.
But you guys were like, man, now you put us in a box.
Now we have to do it.
Right.
We didn't have an option.
At that point, it was like you have to.
And we came out right in front of him.
He got right to me.
Because he fired off a little better than me, you know, the first five laps or so.
And really that whole last run, we were pretty equal.
Yeah, there was probably from lap maybe 20 or 30 to 60 of that last.
run.
I was maybe a little bit better, but you know, the lap traffic and all that really kept
him pretty close, and his teammate really kept him close.
I saw it.
Holy cow.
I heard it was O'Reilly was.
Oh, I had a hell of a time trying to pass that.
I was going to test.
Oh, I did.
I tested out the new front bumper.
News flash.
Everybody has a hell of a time trying to pass.
Oh, my goodness.
He was doing a good job for his.
Denny should give him a bonus.
I don't know.
He definitely should get paid more for that.
I hate to tell you this.
We did spend a little bit of time in one of our meetings last week
showing Bubba being very hard to pass you for you to pass him at Wilkesboro.
I was the last year of the year 40,
all-star race.
We were just trying to barely hang on to the end of the lead lap.
And we, I mean, we probably drove Joey crazy to the point where he finally just, I think,
booed us out of the way at some point.
But so he may have to add the back of his mind while that was going.
Eventually.
I might apologize.
We had to apologize for that.
Eventually, you had to use the bull.
They prepped him on that.
That was a year ago.
That was actually probably two years ago.
So do you think if the 11 came out ahead of you?
He would have won the race.
You think so.
Yeah.
I think so.
I don't think I would have had enough to complete a pass on him.
Yeah.
When we had clean to clean, like clean air to clean air, I was only like a half a tenth quicker.
That's not enough to make a pass because once you get into a dirty air, you're going to just stall out.
Then you're going to take your tires off.
And next thing you know, you're starting it, you're just not going to pass them.
So, you know, it was really about to stay ahead of them.
Danny knew that too, because he was.
got it right to me one time and he tried to get to me. I've seen it. I was like, ooh,
I'm going to release the brick tunnel now. It's going to be a little gap here.
But yeah, I mean, he knew that. He's smart. He's such a smart racer. He knew exactly what
situation is if he can get me quick on the new tires. It was going to be over. So, yeah, it was
intense last few laps because you start to gap out. I got, are you pretty good? And you get
lap traffic. I'm like, oh, gosh, he's right back to me. And then you start to gap out again.
But he has a fun race there to the end.
He definitely got his car better.
We were at one point stellar, and he got right to where we were right in the other race.
And to your point, we were better than the 97 on the last run to start the third stage.
We were better.
I mean, we had probably half a straightaway on them.
We ran long because there really wasn't a reason not to.
We weren't really defending against anybody else.
We were going to be racing the 97 either way, and then the 54 was going to be really good coming from behind.
So us and the 54 pit around the same lap.
We had eight or nine lap better tires in the 97, ran them down, but couldn't get around them.
We kind of got stuck and got a little hot.
We kind of drifted back.
And then the 54 got us and got him.
So, yeah, like, I think it would have been a –
The 54 drove all the way back up.
Yeah.
To four.
To sixth.
Third?
No, fourth.
Four.
Five to think.
Hang on.
Why are we arguing over it when we have a piece?
At one point, we were – he sped.
I was laughing at.
He sped.
He sped.
He lapped.
He lapped.
He got a lucky dog.
at some point.
Did I lap in there?
There was a caution
he got a lucky dog
and then he drove all the way up
that's how that worked?
Yeah, I think so.
Did he get the lucky dog
win?
Wow.
It might have been
the third stage.
He might have got to start
the third stage.
I can't remember.
I think that's when it was.
And then he,
I think he just...
Because I remember when I caught him
I was like, I need to lap this dude.
Yeah, he's fast.
Yeah, he was fast.
He was fast.
I need to keep him down.
It didn't matter who was in the back
the five, the nine,
the 54.
Yeah, I think the five had a much damage
It was brutal back there.
Dude.
Brutal.
They were entering turn one, four wide on multiple occasions.
I mean, they couldn't pass.
Bubba?
Yeah.
Bubba said the same thing.
Bubba said, like, we started wherever because of the metric 26th or something like that.
We got to like 20th, 21st, and Bubba's like, they're like, what's your balance?
He goes, my balance is track position.
He's like, I don't really give a shit.
What you do right now?
You got to get me in the front half of this field or we're never going to get there.
And we put two tires on at that state, to start the second stage.
We came out seventh and kind of hung around there.
Did we get four on?
And then we kind of raced from there.
But I don't think hung pretty good.
Yeah, we stayed seventh or eighth that whole.
We actually drove to like fifth, then bled to seventh or eighth, and then we were back on cycle with everybody else, and we could go back to work from there.
But I think that if we never do that, we may be stuck 20th all race.
Like it was, it was crazy to see that you could run everywhere, but it was still kind of hard to pass.
Like, unless your car was exceptional.
You could, like the 19 was really good.
Every time he caught us, he can go right by us at 54.
Late in the run, though.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But it was, I mean, it was a fun race to watch.
Yes.
was. I mean, like you said earlier, Tommy, like, just there was something going on everywhere
on the racetrack to look at. So, um, anything else from the cup race?
No, not this week. No. Joey kind of. Yeah, Joey made it boring for everybody.
Listen, I get one every now and it's been 40-something racist. I talk about this. I talk about
this all the time. Like, when you have those nights, the only thing you're thinking about is what
is going to fuck me, right? Like, like, what is? There's a caution is going to come out exactly
when I don't need it. Like, like, when you, when you put, when they short pit there, like, you're
just knowing, like, there's a yellow definitely coming out of it.
You're like, this is going way too well.
But that was the call it a nightman.
Just, just like, that decision was quick.
Yeah.
Most people would hem and whore a couple laps, right?
What do I do?
Like, it was, yeah, I mean, it was.
Yeah, I mean, that's why he was going to be a future Hall of Fame.
That's right.
Crew Chief.
I mean, that's just, it was quick.
Somebody's shit.
Sorry, that's my phone.
That's my phone.
It's usually.
Tommy's, that's why we paused.
as 17 kids.
You know, it's funny.
People, you know, they text you and call you after a race, you know, and say congrats and
all this.
I really need it after a bad race.
You know, like, I know I did a good job last night.
You know, I don't need to hear it.
You know, the pick me up when I'm down.
That would be nice.
We'll get Coleman to call on my Mondays.
You might want to give Joey a call to that.
Monday afternoon on the way home from work, pick me up.
That would be good.
Yeah, yeah.
I appreciate that.
Anything in the news that you guys saw?
I saw there's some Daytona rule changes coming up.
Yeah, yeah.
I think, what do you think about that?
I mean, like people went nuts because they heard we were going to run less horsepower.
They had no idea that we're going to go faster than we did it to 500, I think.
I think it's just to make the cars harder to drive.
We're trying to get to what we saw in Atlanta, where we can actually race and we're not locked down two by two.
We don't have to save fuel the whole fucking race.
Yeah, I mean, that's why no one really saves fuel in Atlanta is because you can pretty much drive up.
If you're, well, if you're you guys, you can drive right to the whole.
front.
I can stay in the front really good.
It was getting there.
That was hard.
But, yeah, I mean, I'm sure it'll look a little bit more like the old Daytona from, you know, years and years ago before they repaved it.
I don't know if he'll go that extreme or not and what it'll look like, but it'll, yeah, there's a lot of unknowns.
Yeah.
Right?
And how you set the car up and all those things, too, on top of it, is, like, what are you going to need?
and what do you will, again, it goes back to Atlanta where you sit there and you go,
do you want it down for us or do you want to drag out?
And how do you, like, what's going to matter the most?
Well, Atlanta, we've been there enough times to at least have a general idea of what we think
will be important.
Well, I don't know about Daytona.
At least as a practice, you know.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
There's not that either.
But, I mean, you know what?
Fine.
Yeah.
I'm okay with the no practice.
Yeah.
You know, I know we just added more practice, but I'm okay with it.
Like, I enjoy practice.
Don't be wrong.
I enjoy working on the car and, like, trying to find ways to be better and, and those conversations
and all.
Like, it's a lot of fun.
Like, I enjoy testing for that reason.
But sometimes when cars are all screwed up, their racing is really good.
Yeah.
You know, like, I mean, COVID racing was pretty good.
You know, we just show and go.
And there was cars, the first run of the race were all over.
Cars were passing left and right.
Right?
Yeah.
Think about when the next-gen car first came out.
The racing, everyone was like, oh, the next-gen car is great racing.
Everyone was praising the heck out of the car.
Everybody just fucking chasing their tail.
And nobody knew what the heck they're doing.
Like, everyone was lost.
And so again, so we're changing the rules for the Super Speedway.
Great.
Now nobody knows what they need.
Everyone's a little bit lost.
And the racing will be probably pretty entertaining because nobody knows what to do.
That's usually when the racing's the best is when everyone's lost.
Exactly.
It's once everyone has a science down.
Yeah.
Tommy's a loss for 20 years.
But yeah, no, I think people ask, like, why do we fuel save now we never did before?
It was because of the racing.
Like, we didn't have the fuel save at Daytona Talladega before because we could come out last.
They had a lot in their defense.
Not on speedways, not at Daytona.
They need to.
Other tracks.
They need to get off time.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You got a lift.
That's, so many.
Then you can't save fuel.
Right.
Yeah.
But maybe now that the cars have less drag, maybe you can.
I mean, that's what used to happen, right?
You didn't just completely hit a brick wall when you pulled out.
Like, that's what happens right now with the old car or the old package you had.
You pull out into the wind and it's bull.
And it looks like a truck race.
Yeah.
Right?
The trucks pretty much run two by two unless they start pushing and then they wreck.
But then that's like, that's what the truck race is.
And they just fall around the bottom.
Well, now at least cars are going to, I assume we're going to have to lift a little bit and have to adjust.
and maybe use up some of the racetrack
and maybe not want to be in certain situations
and it's going to cause some runs, right?
Different things happen.
That's what you need.
I agree.
Getting out of gas.
You just need to be able to develop a runner or take a run when you have it.
Like that was,
it's just like once we get to the end of that state,
we see racing now because we're fuel saving.
But like before you, it didn't matter.
You could fucking spin out coming to pit road on the last pit stop,
come off last.
If your car was good,
you could get back to where you needed to get in 25 laps or so.
Now if you come off pit road 15th on the last pit stop,
You're there.
That's it, buddy.
You're not moving.
You're 15 until they wreck.
Until some shit happens in front of here.
And you're probably going to wreck if you're 15.
And that's another reason why they reduced the horsepower
because our power band was always at max.
So when you did pull out, you couldn't do anything.
With less horsepower, the RPMs are less.
So when you get a run, the RPMs travel.
So you get to go.
Right.
So there's a reason why NASCAR.
decided to reduce the horsepower as well.
It goes with the less drag.
So it all works together.
So soften the tire.
Let's work on the tire for the Daytona 500.
Let's make it so you have to have handling.
Then we're going to have some good reparation.
Well, this is a step.
Yeah.
It is a really good step.
Can I bring up a controversial topic?
Yeah, yeah.
That's what this is for.
Folly just perked up out of his seat.
A quick vote on what do everyone think about the two car tango?
thing that we used to do years ago. Oh, I loved it.
Yeah. It was the most, I never got to spot it, but it was the most
exciting form of playdressing. I thought it was awesome. Yeah, I liked it.
There was one person that didn't like it, and we're in his building right now.
He did not like it. Well, it's because he couldn't just get up front by 10 cards and just
the, oh, yeah, I know, right? I thought the way everyone had to work together and the switching
and timing of it. And like, I mean, the last minute passes to the line. Like, every race was
good.
And all the crazy things we used to do with the radiator and everything to try to cool.
We had these freaking radiator fan.
It was stupid, right?
You were trying to practice how far you can stagger out and how many laps you can go without switch.
And then you're like, you're behind the guy, you know, bumper to bumper, looking at spoiler,
and you're just weaving through the field and a closing rate was stupid when they were switching.
And you're just like full faith in the guy in front of you.
And if someone's pushing, you're like, please don't you have a lift.
And you're talking to each other at the radio dial.
the radio dial was the most wicked thing in the world.
Because you can talk to any gyrae you wanted to.
And you would just go over like, hey,
and it was always the most random people.
It would be someone you hate or something.
Hey, remember me?
Seems like we're together.
And you would only have one spotter really, right?
Like whoever was, like, if it was like you and Bubba lined up
and you were leading, Coleman would just spot for both of you, basically like,
you'd both go on your channel, Coleman would spot.
And then if we switch, maybe I would do both car.
Whoever was leading because they had to know, like, oh, shit, like, if it was
It was cool.
Yeah.
It was really cool.
I wish, I don't know.
It would be.
And when they did wreck, when we did wreck, it was like two or three cars.
Yeah.
You know, it didn't wad up 30 cars in a wreck.
You really did have the big one because it was only one that if it ever happened, not every single wreck was the big one.
Yeah.
You know, there was only really won the big one.
It just was unpredictable.
Yeah.
And cool.
Yeah.
It was, yeah.
So we like it.
I'm a fan.
So this is how.
sport works, just by the way. We go in a cycle where we hate something and then we come right
back to it. So I'd say we're like kind of halfway through the cycle and we're going to come back
to it. We're probably about five to seven years out from tandem drafting. Somewhere never going to be back
to tandem and it would be like, this is awesome. I told you. I would say Hudson would be driving by the time
we started doing that. Hudson and Y will be tandem drafting together. I did want to say,
Mike Birch said Dover's coming back,
which we were worried a little bit about.
I mean, it's such a perfect place.
I know it means a lot to you.
You're kind of from the same area.
We are just going kind of in that home-ish,
northeast area.
Just great crowds, always there, loud,
and places are just, so it's good to see.
They're coming back.
It's probably not going to be the All-Star race.
Thank God.
Yeah, I heard crazy rumor going into this weekend
that maybe the All-Star was going back to Wilkesboro.
I hope that's not the case because that place was electric last night.
I don't know where it's going to go.
I heard crazy Loudon.
It's going to be an SMI track.
It's not going to be Voma Gray.
But Loudon, Nashville, maybe, like something like that.
But it's going to be rotating, I think, or at least go somewhere else next year.
And it would be interesting.
But, yeah.
If they do Nashville.
If they need to do the fairgrounds.
Saturday night, please.
If we can get away from Sunday night races, that would be fantastic.
I'm sure it's something about TV ratings.
Oh, absolutely.
I'm sorry Sunday at 7.30 start time.
Not a fan.
No.
If we got to do it,
we got to do it.
Yeah.
That's okay.
What are we complaining about?
I gotta come to work on Monday.
Let me.
Yeah,
but like if more people are watching the sport and that's, that's, that's, that now you actually
have a place to go to work on Sunday.
True.
Or on Monday.
Fair enough.
I think it's good.
I have.
Well, the ratings has been a little fucked up because it turns out it rains on Sunday.
No, not Sunday nights, but the after, the afternoon, early, late evening.
starts are prone for thunderstorms, unfortunately.
So I think the ratings have been hurt by that,
because I don't think we've had a non-affected rain rate.
Maybe Atlanta.
I mean, this weekend was only...
No, this weekend's going to be fine.
20 minutes or so.
We'll see what the numbers were this weekend.
But like Chicago, Atlanta, everything's kind of been...
What about the Gluck posts?
What would you think it's at 80?
85?
I don't know what you're talking about.
Jeff Gluck has a good race poll every week.
So it's...
You winning is going to affect it a little bit.
It is a terrible race.
I don't think about that.
Unfortunately, there's a 10-point swing
between you and Chase winning.
If Chase won, it would probably be about 10 points higher than it is right now.
It said 70% good race, which is kind of what I thought.
It would be in the 70s.
Because it is still, depending on who your favorite driver was,
if you're a Chase Elliott fan, for instance,
once he lost the lap with the Pitts-Lykees,
and everything. You never saw him again.
I don't know, though.
I feel like if you are just a race fan,
like that race was,
obviously. People don't think that way.
You got to be there.
I'm telling you for those types of races.
And that's the thing. Chase did bring up a good point
somewhere this week. I don't know.
But he said, like,
he talking to his friends and stuff
or fans, like, they wanted
more Saturday night races, but we've seen that
Saturday night races don't do any numbers on television.
The same reason we don't run Wednesday night races.
So, like, where do you balance that out?
Like, it's hard for the fan to go to a
a Sunday night race and then or travel to one and get home from work on Monday morning or
or have to take a day off for work on Monday morning versus, you know, the good audience numbers
on Sunday night.
So like, I don't know how you balance that out where, you know, for me, I didn't, I didn't
like Saturday night races at home because I was at Riverhead.
Every Saturday night, I wanted to watch a cup race on Sunday, whatever time it was.
So like the local short trackers are usually racing on Saturday nights, but it's going to be
a balance of whatever.
It's a tough spot.
I mean, NASCAR is in a tough spot.
with this one because, you know, you have the TV ratings that's good in the afternoon, right?
And the later you go, the ratings are better. And you also have like, you know, your fans,
sure, a lot of them are there late last night and have to go to work. You know, my kid's preschool teacher
was at the race last night and I dropped them off this morning. And she was there.
I was like, well, you had a late night last night, didn't you? So people have to, again, yeah,
to your point, have to wake up early. But gosh, if it was Sunday, like during the day,
it would be miserable.
People would have melted.
Yeah, you fell out.
Imagine how many people would have fell out.
Twice in one weekend would have been rough.
I mean, that's the same reason we ran Nashville at night because, like, the first Nashville
race, they ran out of water.
Like, you know, it was a miserable.
It was 100 degrees.
I remember that.
You know, that was, you couldn't, we can't run there during the day in July or June
whenever you run there.
So it's just, you know, you can't balance.
Don't worry.
The car store can run in the middle of the day at fucking North Vokesboro.
And it's.
Don't you make the schedule right?
No, I don't.
That's one step.
me. That's one step above me.
So we need more races than New England.
Is that what I got out of this?
Yeah, I just keep running.
They got to go during this time.
This time, for sure.
During the summer.
As long as we keep going there, I'm fine.
I don't know if we need more, but we need to not lose any.
I think we'd go to Loudon like three or four times.
Yeah, that's a good one.
I like that.
I like it.
As long as we get a modified race every time we're there, I'm good with it.
Yeah.
I'm with you on that.
Spot on.
Spot on.
Did you want to go first on this one?
I think he's a whiny bit.
That's what I think.
Send it.
Why me?
We will get into a little bit of spot-on, spot-off here, starting off with a hot topic from yesterday.
Alex Bowman flips the strategy of the race when he crashes with Tyler Reddick trying to get to pit road.
Spot on, spot-off.
Spot on, what a guy.
Hey, about that time, about that time I looked over at Dugger, like when we went back green after that,
I'm like, here comes the 23.
Like the 23's spooling up, no.
No, I think just going back and kind of listening to it a little bit,
seemed like maybe a late-ish call to Pitt Road
when there was a lot going on in that moment.
The four is leaving pit road on the very bottom.
The 45 is kind of hovering around Alex's left rear.
And Blake kind of tells him,
seems like, I don't know how the audio, trying to sync it up,
but maybe the middle of one and two,
we're just right into the middle of one and two.
He's like, pit now.
And that is like,
for Kevin, Kevin, I really didn't hear Kevin much on the audio, but it's like, he's in, he said inside and as they're, you know, as then they come together. And it's like in that moment, you probably have to be willing to just say, no, we're not fucking coming. But like to your, you know, like you mentioned, like if you miss it by a lap, then he gets the lead. Maybe you don't win the race. So, you know, it's, it's, it's, you're really as a spotter for like for me, it happened. Like we, I don't know if you noticed. We were trying to pit when you passed this to unlapped yourself. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it was. And it. And it. And it was. And it. And it. And it. And it. And it. And it. And
close because same thing Charles like into two he's like pit and I'm like and I have to count Bubba to his
mark every time so it's like three two one break so as he says pit I would have had to been like three
so I started to count as like three two and I was like Joey's right behind us if he fades to the right
I'm gonna come but if he goes left we got to stay and I was like on two or one and I was like nope
abort and jubba had already kind of started to check up a little bit and I was like we but
you like so in that moment you have to be willing to say listen we just can't fucking pit here like
it's, but I was glad they tried because it worked out pretty good for us.
We cycled through forward and they trapped a bunch of guys a lap down that we never saw
again there.
Maybe were as good as us.
But I mean, in that moment, how hard is it to like, we know we got to get on pit road
this lap, but we just can't.
There's moments where you just can't.
Yeah.
You know, and maybe you try, but, you know, I've seen that.
And part of it, too, like these days, the crew chief's not going to broadcast over the radio
because everyone's scanning.
So they're not going to say, hey, we're going to pit in.
three laps or, you know, they're just, they're not.
They try to tell you as close. So they tell you, and to your point, in the middle of one and
two, and the driver's in there like, oh, he's trying to get his stuff all set, right, to come
on the pit road. Oh, yeah, I got to wave someone off. He's in the corner. He needs both hands
and the turn. And you're breaking, not too far off in the corner itself. So you're like,
like, Bubba didn't get his hand out. And I'm not saying he did anything wrong, but like,
yeah, he's probably fucking with his brake by us. He didn't have an opportunity to do that, I'm sure.
And that's just how it is these days. And that's why you have, like, a lot of these
close calls. It happens every week.
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
This week, it actually, there was a wreck.
But, like, it happens twice a year.
A lot of times there's a wreck on the pit road under a Greenflake cycle probably.
You know, I remember the one in Texas.
Yeah.
With the 24.
Yeah.
Like, I mean, it's, it happens so late.
The driver's in there just trying to, and you can't get your hand out in time to wave
anyone off and bang, right?
You're in there.
And there's like a process.
Like, Joey's talking about, like, for me and Bubba, like, if we were going
to pit, usually, like, Charles is really good.
about and sometimes the problem is like we're so our pit box was in turn four you're right we're like
three past you so you know they're kind of looking at the SMT in front of them and that's not exactly
live you know what I mean like if they're telling me they think Bubb is in the one he's actually in the
middle of one and two and they're like oh pit it's like well fuck now it's like and whenever they say
pit now I have a thing like a cadence of fire make sure your bias is where you need it make sure
you know every like so you're adjusting your bias to get to pit road and like there's just not a
enough time to like, I told Charles, I was like, man, I need that sooner if we're going to do that
next time because that could have been really bad, especially with the guys we were around.
You think if they looked up off the screen and they saw the car drive by right in front of them,
they know where the car is?
Oh, there is.
You haven't seen him in a minute.
Like, he's not there anymore.
I have an idea where he's at.
Like, when you see him, that's when you can tell me because that gives me enough time
to get around.
Because then you're even me, I'm trying to tell Coleman or whoever, like, hey, we're
fucking coming here because, you know, there's no time for anything.
So it's just, unfortunately, I think it was just a series of really bad timing.
And Kevin, like, you know, it's just, it's hard to override the crew chief as the spotter.
Like, you know, I tell him to stay out.
And then there's a reason because maybe the guy around us is pitting the next lap.
So, Tommy, you know, like you said, I'm sure, a hundred times, like pit this time in it just can't happen in that lap.
And don't be mad at the spotter, okay?
No, I mean, I think Joey touched on it.
I mean, we're at the point now in a pit box.
We're not even watching the race live anymore, right?
So you don't really know, the only time you know when the car goes by is when the lap time happens, right?
Or when you're looking at SMT.
So you're not looking anymore on who's on pit road, who's leaving on pit road, who's getting ready, who you lap and who you're running around.
You're not looking at it anymore.
So, you know, I would think it would be easier now would be the communication between the crew chief and the spotter to pit, not tell the drive.
driver, right? Just, you know, hey, we're going to pit. I know you can't do it a lap or two before
because it's dictating everybody around you when they're going to pit. I understand that.
But it's probably at the point now with all the technologies, it's got to be some code,
code stuff going on between the crew chief and the spotter for those issues not to happen anymore.
Because Wilkesboro is quick. I mean, they're coming off pit road, the same place where you almost
coming on pit road, right? So you emerge is tough.
Yeah, things get lost there a little bit, especially a place like that.
So not many racetracks you're pitting on the backstretch, right?
So it's a little bit different place that you're going to need to apply that thought process
probably after last night a little bit differently.
Yeah.
I mean, there's going to be tough conversations.
I think the team he screwed over the most was probably all of his teammates.
Those guys are all pretty decent.
I don't think we saw any of them again the rest of the night.
But I don't think it's like the same.
stupidest thing that's ever happened. I think it's just like, holy shit in the moment.
You're just trying to get the pit road because you're getting called down there.
And unfortunately, just timing was really good. I guarantee it there's going to be, you know,
all the team meetings. That's going to be brought up a lot today and tomorrow about things that
we probably going to be doing differently because of that, you know. And it might carry on to other
racetracks that are close to that spot of pitting and getting off pit road and cars are around.
And yeah. The best thing you can do is learn from other people.
people's mistakes.
Yeah.
Right?
You didn't have to go through it and you still get the reward.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Right.
That's the goal.
All right.
Number two, Joey Lugano will make the chase.
Spot on, spot off.
Careful what you say.
I'm sitting right here.
We want to go to your question.
Spot on mean yes, right?
Yeah.
Spot on.
This is more of a, for us to break the cut line down.
But yeah.
So, I mean, like we talked about, you got, you have to have to
a lot of confidence now. Obviously, you jumped up to 15th and points. I don't even know how many to
the good you are. But you got to have, like, the races that are coming up for you. Even we talked about
the short tracks, Daytona, obviously, you guys are strong. Indy, you're probably in position to win the
race last year. And I think you were the only car we passed under green when you're tired of,
you went flat last year, down the back straight away. Charles said, we had that day
I couldn't believe. Obviously, we know Indies hard to pass. The only green flag pass we made on
the racetrack was when Joey got a flat to win the race. Like, we didn't pass anybody under green all day
long. I mean, pit cycles, obviously. But, yeah, I appreciate it.
But obviously indie indie is another strong.
At least it was in a really big race.
That race has haunted me for years.
God, I hope it's so sweet.
So it's one of my favorites now.
I don't know why.
This is the biggest probably split of points now from 17th to 16th in a long time.
I mean, it's over, I think, 30-something points, right?
Well, I was going to ask, like, who do you guys think is trending upwards?
to 16th.
Yeah,
it changes
weekly,
so quickly.
People didn't realize this,
I think,
in the beginning of the year,
they're all this fucking
point system
and wins don't matter.
I'm like,
no,
you don't understand
how much wins matter.
Because it's so many points.
You know,
before we used to see,
the winner would get
10 more points
than the guy that had
the second most points
or six or eight.
Now I didn't even look,
now you got 30.
Probably like that.
You probably gained
25,
30 points on whoever
had the second highest
points last night
because you maximize both
stages. You win the race. You get those bonus points.
I think then he had 51. And you were 70
something, right? Yeah. So I mean, it's
And compared to the guys you're
racing for the cut line, I mean, it had to be
50 points on them, you know. So like, it's just
when you see that, if you can pop off good runs and get stage
points, that gap is going to grow. You know,
you're going to be able to gain. If they're going to be
15th, 20th, you're getting 20 points of race and you guys are
getting 40. Well, you think about it, like, not that
we've had a great year, but we've averaged like
23 or 24 points of race. Yeah.
average. It's not real good.
But it's not real bad either.
But that's three races worth of points.
If you're going off of what our average
has been. Yeah. Yeah. So and that's
huge. Yeah.
You know, so I mean, that's... Imagine
how we talked about Briscoe
in the beginning of year where we... Yeah. Look at
them now. Yeah. That's what everybody's like,
oh, you know, when they were like, is he going to make the chase. I'm like,
it's going to make the chase. It's going to be whether you get
a top five in points or not. And it's probably
not going to be far off of it. If he keeps running the way
he is. I think this is going to
come down to, I think
Shane, like short
tracks, apparently, we've seen with AJ
in years past where Martinsville, places
where, you know, those short tracks where you got to
really get the car rowed down and kind of hugged the bottom
for whatever reason these road course races
really tend to, you know, Shane struggled
to Bristol, so you can't call him a short track ace.
But, you know,
last night. Bristol's not the typical short track. Yeah, yeah.
But, you know, it's going to be
interesting how he does, but I think he's going
to be hard to knock out of there. He's got a good gap. Now, I think
it's going to come down to Austin and Priest for
me because, you know, two of guys, the Penske cars are going to be really strong at these
shorter tracks. Daytona is going to be good. He was good indie last year. He cut a tire as well.
And then you got Priese who's just, you know, we're going to his bread and butter of just short
tracks and what he kind of excels at. I haven't seen enough speed at Eric Jones at the short tracks.
He's run 21st or like right around 21st, 22nd. He wasn't bad last time. He got in the wall
in three and four. Yeah, and messed up his night. But he just still, he was a bad though.
21st, 22nd, 23rd, or something like that,
is where he's three Bristol-Martinsville,
where Wilkesboro finishes have been,
that's not going to be enough to do.
You're going to have to run top 10, I think, to get there.
That team's gotten a lot faster later.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, like, honestly, you look around that cut line.
All those cars here recently have run pretty decent.
Start turning out.
And you're like, oh.
Shit.
All over running good.
You know, even like last night, like, you see Shane, like,
okay, we're past all those road courses.
Like, all right.
are time to start eating away at it.
And you see him last night and I'm like, oh, he's getting good here now too.
That wasn't the plan.
I mean, even for us, we've been like 13th.
And I'm like, we're going to be fine.
We're going to build a good cushion of the bubble.
And I'm like, I mean, we had 38 points last night.
We lost 40 to the guys behind this.
It's like, well, fuck.
Yeah.
Everybody's running pretty good in those spots.
Yeah.
I mean, it's going to be exciting.
You know, it's going to be, you know, it's, you know,
Ken Jones finds speed on the short tracks, and then who's going to outperform who with.
And Brad's like, you know, I never want to count Brad out.
He's only 60 points back, and he's going to be good.
You know, he's going to be, he's going to be, so there's going to be short tracks.
You know, Daytona's going to be good.
He's one of those guys that just kind of hangs around.
And like Joey said, you don't quit.
And he'll be there at some point.
Just got to, can he get it, can he make up enough points, I think?
All right.
The O'Reilly series needs to race at North.
Philksboro Speedway next year.
Spot on spot off.
Everything needs to raise it.
I agree.
Yeah.
We need to start on Tuesday there.
Modifies.
Modifies.
Lay models.
Bring a super race there.
Fucking,
super modifies.
Whatever you got.
Let's run a little spro.
They would be fast.
Yeah, I'd watch it.
I mean, that's how Loudon does it.
Yeah.
Lodin races until the sun goes down.
They don't have lights.
They race as long as they possibly can.
Like, their days are packed.
Like, there's not a moment.
There's not a car on the track.
We used to have the K&N races there
and then it was like we would
be racing, the modified race would usually end or
the Kain Inn race, which everyone happened to be last
that year, would be time limited by
the sun. Like the sun. Yeah.
And we'd have that adverse conditions rule
every year. But no, I think
I mean, O'Reilly race would be a great
It was such a good race.
I don't have any argument with that.
Yeah, really? Spot on. Spot on
easily. NASCAR is expected
to double how much practice.
Cup Series teams get most weeks,
It's Jordan Bianchi, and that is a win for both race teams and fans.
Spot on, spot off.
Tommy?
Yeah, I mean, I think it was a heavy vote in the garage to do this.
It's still going to be the same amount of total time of practice, which is 50 minutes.
That's louder than I thought was going to be.
What are you doing?
He's refilling his watercutter.
I'm not being for the people that aren't watching.
Should we start over for Hetty?
Yeah, I'm sorry.
The teams, you said.
Yeah, I mean, the teams voted for this.
Yeah, I think it's going to be, I think it's a little bit of a trial run this year.
And then hopefully we can make a couple more adjustments for next year to allow us to have more adjustments during practice.
We are talking about that.
So, yeah, I think, you know, for the smaller teams that don't have as much information or the Sims not as good.
And I'm surprised that you're not more happy to get more seat time
of the things that you guys need to work on.
But, you know, because you mentioned earlier,
I don't want no practice.
Well, I mean...
Yeah, I don't have an opinion on this one.
Really?
I can go either way on it.
Like I said, the sport's cyclical.
So, you know, right now, sure, practice sounds great.
Next year, it could be completely different, you know?
So I'm just along for the right on that one.
Whatever everybody wants to do I'm good with.
I just don't think it does anything.
I think in anything, it's going to hurt the racing to what Joey was talking about earlier,
because we're going to just make the box even smaller and make it even harder to pass.
Because the good guys are always going to be the good guys.
And now if we, you know, anybody that's going to make their car any better,
like people the other day were like, I caused a little bit of an uproar on Twitter
because I was talking shit about the people that they're like,
we don't have enough racing.
We want to see more stuff on track.
You know, there's nothing enough.
And when I look down and during practice and qualifying for any series,
it's a fucking ghost town.
There's nobody there watching.
So like, what are you talking about?
about you only go in the grandstands for the race anyway. But this isn't moved the needle for me
enough where, especially with only with limited adjustments, because you can't, it's not like
you're going back to the truck and making wholesale changes. So, you know, the other day,
obviously we only had one set of tires. We're going to have two. But the other day, we practiced
for 25 minutes. You know, we had a 50 minute practice. We just ran our normal 25 minute plan because
what else, we just went out. We waited for 15 minutes. Went out. Ran 60-something laps. Came in with 10
minutes to go, you know?
Well, you're going to get a second set of tires.
Yeah.
I mean, it's going to be different for that.
So that'll make you not wait.
Yeah, but I mean, even then like...
We had a second set the other day too, but...
Ish.
I mean, you can transfer...
You're qualifying tires, basically.
Yeah, you can transfer them into the race.
Yeah, you're going to keep the extra set just in case.
But, I mean, do you think, what can you do in an extra 25 minutes that's going to make your
car exceptionally better?
You're not changing spring.
Not yet, not yet. We hope that it's going to allow us to do that in the future.
But I just think we need, yeah, I mean, it's like you said, COVID that we go out and it was excited.
Just two sides to the story. I get it.
It's just, God, practice is 25 minutes. It's so boring for us. I mean, it's like, dude, we work all these hours and you just show up 25.
You're not even into it, right?
And then I personally hate the metric because the penalty from last week,
you're still paying this week.
And just like, give us that set of tires so you can mock up.
And fastest guy goes, I mean, it's just, I don't know, I don't.
But what's the other way of doing it?
A random pill?
No, I mean, he wants to do a practice.
Yeah, but for qualifying, you're talking about qualifying.
Yeah, he's saying he wants to do qualifying off of your practice speeds.
Practice speed.
Like fast and practice goes.
For that week.
For that week, like we used to do.
I mean, it's just, I mean, you finish.
Maybe out there trying to make a mock run off the chat.
Yeah.
I mean, it's, but it's...
I remember the old days of like, you'd sling everything at it.
It's always a shit show.
It's always a mess.
But again, if they, it's just more, more talking points to the, for TV.
Sure.
Right?
And we don't tape up anymore, right?
Like, we used to.
Like, so it's not, you don't, you're not going to dump a lot of money, more money like you,
you think you are because of the car now.
I mean, is...
But would you start because, because, you,
No, you can't.
You can't, because you can't.
I mean, you can trim it out a little bit, but still, by trimming it out,
it's still going to help your thought process of what you're doing for the race anyway.
I mean, it's not like...
I mean, unless you're slinging cambers and stuff at it like we used to, I don't know.
Right, you can't.
Right, you can't right now.
Right.
You know, so...
Well, you really can't anyway, because we're maxed.
Sure.
We're maxed already.
Yeah.
Right?
So it's like, I don't know.
And the question was brought up, and it's just like a couple of...
guys are like, nah, I think this is the fairest.
And it's like, I mean, you show up, you're showing up next week, right?
You're guilty until you're proven innocent already, right?
Because of last week.
Yeah.
Are you haven't even got a chance to, I don't know.
I mean, I guess it's too, I don't know.
I mean, I understand what you're saying because I've been on both ends of it.
Where, like, even this week, like Larson and Baba, right?
Like, for what happened last week, he's got to pay the penalty the next week.
but we all had the same opportunity.
Yeah.
Right?
And that's the world I want to live in.
I want to live in a world where I can make a difference,
and if I don't do good enough, then so be it.
I'm going to have to live with that.
But what happens if someone made a difference for you the week before?
Now you've got to pay for it the next week.
That's my...
Yes.
It does.
Yeah.
Yeah, it does.
But what do you...
What I want to know is...
But what are you going to do?
You've got to dig out of the hole.
What's a better way?
Well, how many cars you can think you're going to pass in today's world?
last night a lot
Tushay
I did not understand
why didn't we qualify
the other night
The place has lights
I'm assuming it was TV
Like the only thing that makes sense
I mean I would have just kept the same schedule
Like we just could have pushed everything back
It wasn't like it was midnight
It was we were done at 7.38 o'clock
You got to pay old guys overtime
Yeah maybe
I don't know what it was
Is that what it is?
Yeah and TV
Turn the lights on the racetrack
I mean is that what the problem
I mean, I was down for like...
That costs money.
Just go out and qualify.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
No practice.
Yeah, straight out qualify.
Like, we, the people that are proponents of practice.
Then you would have...
Where'd you start last night?
11th.
But, you know, like, we just...
I would have been down for that.
We just...
Let's go see what you got.
Right off the truck.
I'm just worried that more practice
is going to hurt the race
because we're all going to be going
even closer together speeds,
especially like short tracks.
Like, we just saw it at Langell.
show up, no practice.
The field is fucking scattered
the first run because guys missed it.
You know, that's, that was, you know,
then we get one opportunity to work on it.
And it's like, we're all right back together.
And now we figured it out and you couldn't pass.
It was harder to pass.
You still could pass.
But it was harder to pass.
Like, you know, the more practice we get,
the more testing we do, we just,
with this car especially, we just make the box smaller and smaller.
And then it becomes even harder and harder to pass.
The last-gen car, you can have all the practice in the world.
world and there was certain teams that just were never going to catch up to the best teams just
because the cars were so different and everyone's building their own parts and the parts on that car
were just better lighter stronger faster that's what it was and now everybody can get to that
same speed yeah fairly close to it at least right like within a 10th or two right and i mean that's like
the Toyota's advantage at the moment is like a 10th yeah right it's not a lot yeah but it looks like a lot
But it's just that's what it's come down to.
And then everyone ends up being the same.
And then you can't pass.
So the point we were talking earlier,
if Denny got in front of me and I was only a half a tenth quicker in him,
you think I'm going to pass him?
No.
So then if everybody's running within a half a tenth or a tenth of each other,
sorry, you're not going to see any passing.
And the more we work on the cars,
the more everyone maximizes what they got.
And then we all run the same speed.
And when you have one bad pit stop or a bad qualifying effort,
or you got to start in a back because of your mediation,
metrics from last week.
You're stuck.
How many more...
How many more changes did you make in practice the other night versus normal practice?
We didn't change it.
We made one run and parted it.
Yeah, same.
Yeah, we never came in.
We just ran 60 straight.
We never changed your thing.
We came in and we ran 80 laps.
Came in and talked about it.
Made it adjusted to the race.
Is that the thing like to your...
If we can get to where you can go back to the truck.
Because some people think they were like, oh, you just don't want to work 21 minutes.
I'm like, yeah, that's what it is.
I don't want to stand there and watch cars for 20 minutes.
We used to do fucking nine hours of practice between all the three series.
I promise you, 25 minutes is not making a big difference in my world.
But I agree.
It was.
It used to be a lot of fun.
Like Friday, you'd go out there and you'd have, like, it was all about qualifying.
You'd make mock run after mock run.
And you'd make this big changeover into mainstream.
And you had to figure out qualifying that day.
And a Saturday, you had happy hour and all that.
Like, it was fun.
But we also did that every freaking week.
It was Thursday we'd leave and home.
I don't know.
Yeah, everyone talks about the good old days.
I think we're in it.
I think we're in the good old days.
It's not that bad.
Things are okay.
Let's count our blessing.
We'll see how it works.
Yeah, I mean, if we get some more, at least more adjustments,
because right now it's pointless to add more practice if you can't change anything.
Yeah.
All right, DBC fans, it's time to react.
All right.
I'm actually really pumped for this one.
I think I hope we've got some good calls for Joey on reaction.
theater today.
This is where fans call in and voice their opinions from this weekend's race.
It's just essentially voice mail.
We've got voicemails.
How many calls we get, Dalton?
So people just call in and just tell you how they feel?
And you guys pick the best one.
Yeah, we don't pick all of them.
So that just really encourages people to talk over a lot of crap.
How many calls did you get overall, Donald?
I think it was over 150.
You listen to all of them?
I listened to the majority of them, yeah.
I'm able to read the transcript so I can kind of weed out a little bit, but I did listen to a lot of them.
AI is good.
How many calls we have?
Probably, like I said, like over 150.
No, no, I'm saying like that you.
I have nine today.
And Joe, you mentioned that everybody at the table was cheering you on.
I think that's because everybody that was booing you was calling into reaction theater.
Oh, boy.
They weren't sitting next to Dale Jr. like I was.
Apparently, apparently the cheer was Dale Jr.
Not you.
I know, but I was riding his coattails.
It was pretty cool.
We're going to start off, though.
The fans wanted to say something to Freddy.
Oh, great.
Oh, Freddy.
For one.
I would say we missed you, but we didn't.
No, I guess we did.
That was that much thought there.
That wasn't nice.
If you think that's bad, I got bad news,
it might get worse here in a minute.
Let me do that guy.
I don't know.
We're going to see that about him in a minute.
Yeah, they're going to be saying worse about you here shortly.
Freddie, my man.
Are you there?
You still listening?
Why they got you in the corner and a cup chair?
Why would they do that for you for you for, man?
It's like usual, though.
There you are.
Just sitting there watching.
See you.
That was an interesting name for the chair.
Yeah.
Yeah, I just sat over there and like...
Did you fart in it?
Yes or no.
No, that's what everybody wants to know.
I don't recall farting in it.
I don't know, but I don't recall like a blatant fart.
There's no stains I checked this morning.
So maybe...
Might have a little.
Fannie burp.
A little fanny burp, but that's it.
Amy, your chair is still safe.
You're fine.
She was not happy.
She was worried about that.
She's worried.
I'd be worried about the cushion being a little more collapsed.
Yeah.
Farting anything.
I just received the best birthday gift ever.
Joey Big Nuts said him on the dash to lead 300 some frigging laughs.
I don't even know, but God bless America.
God bless Joey Lugano.
God bless.
God bless Joey Big Nuts.
Yeah.
I appreciate it. Thank you.
Thank you.
This next person did not have us one of a birthday.
Oh, hey, Sarah, happy birthday.
Who's your favorite driver?
Oh, I don't know.
I love everybody except for Joey Legano.
So who fucking wins?
That piece of shit.
I love this.
This is fun.
This is a lot of fun.
Happy birthday, Sarah.
It's a lot of fun.
I had a great birthday, thank you.
Sorry, Joey's a great birthday.
Congratulations.
Joey enjoyed your birthday, Sarah.
Happy freaking birthday.
Enjoy your gift.
Go find that way.
That's what you get.
Maybe root for me next time.
You have a better birthday.
Send her a card, Joey.
Send her a some, uh, shell.
Where's a flag?
We can help you say 22 cents on your birthday, too.
You're signed up.
You don't even have to be a fan to get that reward.
Long time caller.
first time listener here
before the race starts
just wanted to come on here
and say fuck Joey Legone
well you remember that guy's night too
Jesus Joey
you know it's always fun
this happened to me a lot last night
the cost should come out
and they'd be like eight or nine people
on the fence just flipping me all
you know like a point
to make sure it was me
you boom
that's you
I was like all right
we're doing it tonight
that's when you know you're running good
yeah
They probably wouldn't care if you were in mid-packers.
I just waved.
I do that sometimes.
Give a thumbs up.
Congratulations on the wind there, Joey.
But I'm just curious, when you go to the zoo,
did the ostrichists try to figure out if they're kin to you or not?
That's pretty good.
It was pretty good.
Me and Newman used to have this thing going back and forth because he don't have a neck.
And I have his neck, apparently.
I have two necks and one.
And we had a lot of Hans DeVice jokes.
I think his Hans DeVice would go right over the top of his head.
Most people got a slide in this thing right at the top.
We just have a lot of good jokes about that.
His neck was never sore after a wreck.
Mine always is.
He was running Bono's car at Loudon one year.
And I was spotting from Blewett and Jimmy.
And Jimmy walks over and Jimmy's built identical to Ryan, essentially.
And he's like, I think me and you do work together.
They didn't call us reckless.
a necklace.
He's like, we'll get out there and draft together.
That's pretty good.
That's good.
I was like, oh, Jesus.
I think that was our first conversation ever, by the way.
That's a good way to break the ass.
You got to be fucking kidding me.
The guy who looks like a Scooby-Doo character villain won the freaking race.
Scooby-Doo character.
Bullshit.
I didn't know there was villains.
I guess there are villains.
I haven't watched a lot lately.
Yeah.
This shouldn't make your day that bad.
You know?
He was like, very, he was mad.
He was very upset.
I get it.
It's just a race.
I get not being happy.
But anger is probably a little bit much.
It's not that bad.
It's not.
Yeah, but you.
I'm not that bad.
No.
You're good, but it doesn't it.
It's going to be better. Sure.
Not that bad.
Joey's going to need therapy after this.
It doesn't feel a little bit good that you're really ruining.
someone's day.
Or me and Tommy
just evil.
It is nice to like put
haters in their place.
But I don't really want to ruin
someone's day.
You know?
Like I want to be someone
that's like they're happy to get to
see you.
You know?
They're better off that they spent time in your presence.
Like that's the kind of person I want to be.
Yeah.
I don't want to hurt your feelings.
You ruin that fucking years ago.
I did.
I heard this guy's life.
What was what was the turning?
Like I can,
we can pinpoint like Denny
wrecking Chase, that was
Booth City for him. Is there a
turning point for you? Or it's like, oh,
it's my rookie season, man. Oh, really?
Just right away. Just right away?
Yeah. I take
a young kid, Kevin, and
yeah, and
yeah, it was with Kevin. I think
some of it, I think there's multiple things.
I think, because I've had a lot of years
to think about this.
And I've realized there's no coming back
from. But I think
one of it's where I'm
from, because I notice, as
I travel further south to races, I get booed more.
Yes.
So I think there's a little bit of that.
I think the way I came into the sport with a lot of hype and I was supposed to be all this.
I think that was a piece of it.
I'm guilty.
I was very cocky and arrogant as a youngster when I came into the sport.
And I picked fights with legends.
Right?
Like Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Kansas, like, all these guys like, I mean, I picked some good ones to go after.
And they had a huge fan base.
Like these guys, so if someone fights your driver, right, and Tony Stewart had a lot of freaking fans.
And when he says, I forgot what he said about me, but a lot of things that were really nice.
I think he said that you were a spoiled little brat.
Yeah, some silver spoon stuff, all the stuff.
And when you have that many fans, they're on his side, you know, and then you're screwed and you're that.
forever.
You know, and like, no matter, and I say it all time, when you're 18, years old,
and I was 18, 19 years old when I came into the sport, I don't know about you guys,
but I was dumb.
I assume a lot of 19-year-olds that, you know, you can look back, or everybody can look
back when you're 19 and say, I probably shouldn't have said that.
I shouldn't have done that.
I regret this.
I regret that.
And, but I got to, and yeah, you got to live with those consequences your whole life,
but boy, I'm really living with a lot of them.
And it's just, there's.
no, people have that in their mind that they can't come back. Yeah. And like, yeah, I've changed as a
person. We've all changed as people as you grow up. You realize this stuff. And like, Kevin and I
joke all the time about all the stupid stuff I said, right? Like, I wore the shirt on his podcast.
Because I think, I mean, I think it's funny, right? Because now, like what I did is so stupid. But I mean,
I can make a joke of myself. But there's a lot of people that, um, they're just forever going to
dislike me. And maybe there's more reasons. But I think that's what I'm, that's what I
can come up with. Maybe there's more.
No, you hit it right on the head. I think it is.
We just need somebody to come along that they hate more.
You're going to gain some fans. Do you think so?
I think so.
Do you think the guy that just called in, we get that one back?
No, no. That last guy we're not getting.
Sarah's possible. Sarah's possible. Sarah.
Sarah, maybe. The last guy, he seemed real man.
He's stuck in his ways.
I think this last one's pretty fitting. This guy calls in twice.
Oh, God.
Olegano.
The gas pedal's on the fucking right, man.
You're turning into moldy bread.
This must have been.
Joey fucking Logano.
Called you moldy bread, homie.
You're the best life threat I've ever had.
One fucking go.
Go Ford.
See how quickly you changed?
Yeah.
That is a reaction theater call for the ages.
Like, for the ages.
He called back and said sorry.
Oh, man.
That's pretty good.
I thought he said moldy Brad.
the first time.
I was like, oh, bread, now I get it.
You're the best slice of bread I've ever seen.
That quickly, right?
There's an interesting story from fans every weekend.
There's always something funny or something that happens.
That's my favorite part of the show.
Just to see what people are saying every week and how it leads to the guests, it's awesome.
I got one in Atlanta.
And, you know, like there's the walkway from the garage to the bus lot.
So it's after qualifying.
And I'm walking back.
And there's a line of people on one side.
line on the other side.
So I knock out the whole line on one side.
And then somebody was doing like half of the other one.
So I did like the second half of the other side.
I'm saying all the stuff for the fans.
So I'm like, okay, I got them all I thought, right?
And I'm walking out, you ball bastard.
And I'm like, geez, I can't make anyone happen.
You know what I mean?
I just spent 10 minutes out here with everybody.
And I get that on the way out.
I'm like, come on, man.
It's because you got hair.
She got hair.
He's saying that stuff.
It's not fair.
It's not fair.
It's not nice.
Oh, God.
Those are some of the best ones we've had in a while.
To leave an audio message 24-7,
you can call our number at 704-802-9-5-7-2,
and we'll play the best ones each week on the show.
I'm going to start calling it.
Got to write that number down.
It's on the sheet.
You'll be right.
Who's on here next week?
Blaney always says he's going to, he's like,
I'm calling in one.
a month just so see if you know it's me or not.
We still haven't
think we found him or if he even has
called in.
Shit Show Hall of Fame.
Freddie, I think our shit show
is coming from one of your tweets.
As much good shit that the 34 and a 38
truck team did the other day. They could not figure out how to get out of the
parking lot. They couldn't get their van out of the
fucking, like just
just a piss poor attempt here.
Like two, they made, I only got
two of them on film. Yeah. After
attack, they
Bono was so mad
they were just about done with tech
and they went to a lightning hole
and it poured
so they were stuck there
for a little while
but yeah they were
this is about attempt number five
they're just
gunning a minivan up this hill
after it's been pouring rain
you know they were having so much fun
though
that was like a
freaking laugh
I know that van is full of
like Clark Houston
and Brandon and all those
clowns in there
just having the time of their lives
He did a bigger run.
You need a bigger run.
They finally, after about the fifth attempt,
they finally got a back down and then they realized they had a kind of like drive
diagonal.
You're crossing to get off the main path.
I mean, it's a funny.
You know the thing's probably front low driving.
It's a torque steer.
And he just like steers down into another car.
There was a funny.
There was a guy.
He drove up in front of that.
That's Tyler Green Park next to me.
He drove up in front of me there in like R.
Ohio.
And he was in a Porsche.
And he's got this thing.
There's a telephone pole.
right at the end of our aisle.
And I'm like, I'm like, oh, I got to film this.
Because this guy, this thing might, he's just got the tires lit up.
I'm like, if this thing bites, I'm going to America's Funniest Home Videos and win a 10 grand rate.
Wait, did you say it was a Porsche?
Little did they know.
What day was this?
Little did you know if you went down the hill and down the gate was open.
Oh, okay.
So I was like one of our people.
No.
That wouldn't be that much fun if he did it that way.
But yeah, no, that was, that was fun.
The only other shit show I saw was the push truck deal at, uh,
the flow race or whatever
Thursday or Friday night
where they pushed truck
jumped over the top of Macedo's car
Cole Mascito's car and destroyed it
really pushing him out for the main or the B main
and or it might have been the C main
but I mean he jumps over the car
it looked like Cole was trying to go straight
and the guy was trying to follow the curve
and I don't know if he just got offline to the left
and jumped the left rear tire
destroyed the wing
destroyed the left rear shock so they're trying to work on it
they're getting it fixed
and as they're fixing it all of the
sudden you see the officials like waving them off it broke the frame like there's like a safety bar
like just under like a shit it looks like a protection bar and you see it right there crap i'm like
and like my who's responsible for that like this the team and like i know like high limit paid him
whatever the start money was for the main i think it was like four grand but i'm like that's not
that's not i don't i'm assuming they cost a little more than four grand for a cage yeah it's pretty
tough and i don't think you can repair them like that i don't i think they try to keep the four tens at least
pretty stable. But yeah, I felt bad because he got to go to a backup car for the rest of the weekend.
It was not great.
Damn. Well, like you said, like, who's the truck driver?
I mean, I would just keep driving.
I'm going to go to the gate. I'm going, oh, sorry.
Could you get charged for a hit run if he did that?
Especially El Dorah. Like, you know, Tony probably was like,
what the fuck?
Dude, that's tough.
That push truck probably won't be back for, for the...
To your point, you just hook her right out of the track.
And you drive that truck home.
Open the gate.
You go home.
I got to go.
If you find a shit show in the wild, make sure you tag us and send it our way on social media so we can laugh along with you.
Moving on to AskDBC.
Joey, did you ever finish getting your trucker's license?
Yeah, absolutely.
And if so, how many jugs have you peed in since?
None.
That's a very, did you say you were going to pee in jug?
I'm a race car driver, man.
I can hold up.
an elephant, man.
Or a camel.
Why does somebody want to know that?
Did you say at some point that?
No, I did not say that.
I think that's a trucker thing.
But yeah, I'm waiting for a big moment, you know, my big moment to drive the truck.
I've, Bama, my truck driver, he's, he would allow me to go with him sometimes, but
he only offers the ones that are all the way to California.
You know, Martin'sville sounds pretty good.
Stark small.
But it is.
It is fun.
My dad and myself are like collecting some old trucks.
And I figured I probably eventually need to be legal.
Yeah.
Just in case something was to happen.
It's not like I'm hauling any big loads.
I'm just bob tailing around in an old truck.
But it's, they're fun.
I love driving old trucks.
Because it's hard.
You're feeling you're wheeling it.
Oh, I mean, you're trying to get all these years.
Like, there's no synchros.
Like, you got to hit them.
If you can't find them, grind them.
Oh, no, there's no grinding.
You miss it, you grind it, you have to stop.
You stop in the middle of the road.
It's embarrassing and you start from one.
And you start going through them again.
But that's, I don't know, I drive it to the shop every now and again.
I just, I take the kids, go get ice cream.
Grocery get her?
Absolutely.
Yeah, it's awesome.
I hate driving boring cars, man.
I want to drive cool stuff.
I love that.
Do you have one?
Yeah, has Warren gotten his phone out of the lake yet by any chance?
Do we know.
Crazyest thing.
Did you hear the story?
I heard half.
I know, like, we've got a lot.
a lot. There's a lot of layers of this story. This is a true story. I'll tell the story. I don't know if anyone cares about the story. So Warren, he's my business manager. He's been with me really from the beginning of my career. Anyways, he's walking off his boat the other day. He got his phone in his pocket, he's carrying stuff, bumps his pocket, boom, phone, bottom of Lake Norman. He goes home, drops his kids off, gets his pool skimmer thing, goes back to the dock. It starts trying to find it. Somebody's watching him, say, hey, what are you doing?
You know, and this guy goes, and he goes, I'll jot my phone in here.
Well, this guy apparently has, like, goggles and flippers.
He's like, I'll help you.
This guy jumps in there trying to find his phone.
Can't find his phone.
Warren's like, all right, I got to go home.
He goes, here's the deal.
I'll give you $100 if you keep looking.
I'll give you $250 if you find it.
Guy says, all right, we go to Atlanta.
Monday afternoon, I think it was.
He gets a phone call.
Hey, I found your phone on the bottom of Lake Norman.
turned it on, it works.
What?
How does that happen?
Like, how does that happen?
There's multiple stories to this.
How, where did this guy come from?
Right?
He just happens to be standing at the dock.
With scuba here?
There's no scuba.
That's what I asked, too.
Did he have scuba here?
He didn't know.
He had a mask and flippers.
So I'm like, so he's just,
and he's going on there.
Where does this guy come from?
And he's like, you know what?
I'm going to keep looking for this guy's phone.
phone four days later.
I've been like,
the phone's written off,
bud,
it's not gonna work.
It's been in Lake Norman
for four days.
It's killed.
It's dead.
It's not the cleanest lake
on the bottom either.
That's what I was going to say.
He saw through the water with.
So Warren told me,
he's like,
the frustrating thing was,
I could see the phone
lit up like under the water.
You know,
like you can see,
it wasn't,
I guess it wasn't very deep
where we probably had his dock,
I assume,
but he,
but then there was more layers
to him and Folly
were filling me in on like
he couldn't get in his eye cloud
for a couple days.
Oh yeah.
Warren and technology is a weak point for him.
So that's why he wanted his phone back after four days because he was having trouble setting up his new ones?
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
So the phones where Warren has recovered his phone.
He's back.
He's got the lake phone.
He's out 200 feet bucks.
Yeah.
He's out 250.
Plus, he bought the other phone, so he's out more than that.
He's out a little bit.
He's still going to fall.
Now he's got two phones.
He better go start selling.
He's got to go to do now.
Commission, but you got to get back in it.
It's making up.
Oh, my God.
That's so great.
It was too good not to bring up.
No, you said, I don't know if anybody's going to care.
Oh, that was a great story.
I just, like, and Warren has these stories like this all the time.
Like, that doesn't happen to other people.
Only to you.
Like, how?
Yep, yep.
All right, DVC picks.
Who won?
Not me.
You won.
Oh, that's right.
With priests.
And Joey won for you the week before.
You haven't picked.
I've been picking, buddy, don't you worry.
Bullshit.
I think you won twice because somebody else was picking for you.
My man, Eric, me and Eric, been collabing.
Thanks for the win, Joe.
I've got to win with you at Atlanta.
Hendrick has really shit the bed for me these last two weeks.
All right, so, Joe, you are...
Where's the hell?
So I have to pick, too?
Am I the guest?
Yeah, you're the guest.
I assume that.
Who goes first?
He does.
Me?
Yep.
Oh, you didn't even give me a chance to look at this yet.
Well, yeah, no, we're...
I mean, take a minute.
I mean, we haven't...
It's not that.
I'll pick the two.
Austin Cedger.
Two's a good pick.
I'll pick the two.
Yeah.
I don't know who the hell I'm going to pick either.
Um,
my next, yeah.
Um,
I'm going to pick Blaney.
Yeah,
I'll take,
go 12.
How do you still have Blaney?
Because I'm a smart little girl.
You're,
wait,
so you only get one.
I'm going to pick the driver one time.
And then it resets when the chase starts.
And,
Tommy saved SVG all year last year, not knowing that we reset in the chase starts.
I am going to, man, I got Joey on this list too, but I'm not going to use him yet.
You got some good ones coming up.
I know.
I'm going to pick, I'm going to pick Elliot.
Sadler?
He's running, he's running Richman.
Bill Elliott.
I'll take Christopher Bell.
Did he last have Christopher Bell?
Yeah.
He's going to be pretty strong there.
Yeah.
I probably should have saved him for Loudoun, but there's no guarantees I get him there.
Yeah.
All right.
All right.
Weekend winners, starting off with Flow.
And if you don't have Flow, you can use our link, which is FlowSports.
Link slash Door Bumper Clear to sign up and get 15% off.
All right.
Starting off strong Cars Tour, Caden Honeycutt sweeps both pro-late model and late model stock
races. Kevin Harvick
still got it. Wins the Idaho
200 with the Cars West tour. Patrick
Emerling wins White Mountain
Wheel and Modified Tour Race.
Casey Johnson wins Slinger National.
What a mess. Slugfest.
Did you get to see that at all?
Were they throwing hands?
It was just the other side of that same page.
Just what she was free?
I know. I saw you over on the other page.
Is this making me feel better about
the fucking fire pages?
The end of the end
that slinger race was great right until about
50 to go and then it turned into a fucking disaster.
It was a slug fest.
Damn.
Yeah, good for Casey Johnson.
Zach Prunty wins the late mono race.
I have in here.
That was the tap rule.
The tap rule.
So, Zach Riddle got, was better than Prunty at the end of the race.
Prunty's leading hanging on.
Zach Riddle goes up there, gets in the back of him.
I don't think he intentionally really meant to turn them, but he got in the back of him,
turned them around.
They have a rule with slinger.
They call the tap rule.
If you tap out, you hand you go, you stop and start finish line, wave your hand, whatever, tap your roof.
You go to the back.
The guy that you just dumped gets his spot back.
Like you're basically saying, I didn't mean to do that.
So, Prunti, and it gets, re-inherits the lead and goes on to win the late model portion of the Slinger Nationals, which I thought was, like, I don't think Riddle meant to do it on purpose, but he definitely got in the back of him, definitely turned him around and just said, yep, that's on me.
I'm going to the back, give that guy the lead back, and then he hung on to win the race.
So I think I like that rule a lot because you find that.
who's an asshole, first of all.
He definitely would.
Even if you did it on purpose,
if you don't tap, the other guy is screwed.
You know, like, so if you like,
you find out who the assholes are in the crowd really quick.
And you find out who the good guys are too.
And I don't know Zach at all,
but I was really impressed with that move there.
Yeah, we talked about having a tap rule.
And then we were like, wait,
nobody would ever probably tap.
Derek Krause, what?
Derek won this weekend, won the pro race.
Everybody must have crashed.
Yeah, for real.
High limit, Kyle Larson,
wins the Joker's jackpot on Thursday at Eldora.
That was a good.
between him and Rieke.
Ron Silk won the Open Mod race
at Stafford Wednesday.
Robert Bloxham,
the third won King of the Cretes
that night as well.
Shane Golubik wins the Howard Cating Classic
at Watsonville.
I love that race track.
Dominic Gordon won the prelim event Friday night.
Briggs-Danner wins the Rich Vogler Classic
at Winchester.
Briggs-Tenner is the name you're going to hear a lot.
I mean, at least in the dirt world for sure,
but that kid's super talented.
He's on it.
Colby Sokol wins the KKM Giveback series
at Coles County.
Jason Fager,
wins the, what does Mars stand for?
Just say Mars is fine. Mars lane model race
at Farmer City.
She has a good series. Yeah.
Brandon Shepard won Thursday night.
Ricky Thornton Jr. wins $52,000 at the Silver Dollar Nationals at Shelby County.
Colby Malesc wins a great hobby stock race to close out the Silver Dollar Nationals.
Cody Overton wins and sweeps three races with the Southern National Series.
Matt Shepard wins his 60th career, STSS race.
in the Firecracker 50 at Fonda.
Stewie Friesen wins the Richie Evans Memorial.
I always butcher, is it Utica?
Utica.
Utica.
I always say that wrong.
And Matt Williamson dominates the Bill Shay Memorial.
Tony Gohams wins the Tyler and Chuck Wolf Memorial at Silver Dollar Speedway.
Nicholas Noggle wins the IWK250 at Riverside in Nova Scotia.
Fun fact, I used to think Nova Scotia was in like Switzerland, not here.
It is.
What you mean?
That sounds like somewhere foreign.
Bowman Gray, Bert Myers, and Daniel Beeson won the modified races.
Justin Taylor and Zach Orr split the sportsman,
Zach Coger in the street stock, Brandon Bindle,
and the stadium stock.
And I haven't looked fully at the list.
I don't know if Brexton Bush is on here somewhere,
but definitely want to go ahead.
Shout out to.
You close it out with that.
Daniel Beeson.
Yeah, Daniel Beeson, I mean, getting there forever.
I think it's a 1992 Troyer car, and it's just him.
And good for him, man.
He's been doing it a long time.
And I think that Zach Coger, Dillner, had sent me a message.
Beeson sets up that guy's streetstock to.
The two of them to win the same night's pretty cool for them.
And guys, everything that she just listed is on flow this weekend or this week.
So, I mean, I don't know.
If you don't have a flow subscription, I don't know what the hell you're doing.
But some other ones this weekend we saw, obviously, Anthony Macri, back-to-back,
Kings Royals for him.
Shout to Joe Mooney, a buddy of ours up north again.
But, yeah, I mean, the one thing drove me crazy about it.
I don't know if you watched any of that.
they have a caution.
He's taking the white flag.
He's coming to checker.
They have a yellow because a guy broke and he couldn't get in the gate.
And they throw the yellow and because they have a deal where if they run X amount of laps combined caution and green, they have to put fuel in.
Well, they hit it that moment.
So now they have an open red and they go out there and they could all adjust on their cars for a fucking green white checker.
So I'm like Macri's like, I was shitting my pants because now you don't know like if you're going to hit it right.
somebody might just hit it perfectly and hit the restart,
but yeah, it was a great finish of that race.
Corey Day won the night before.
Price Lucius won a really good race.
A cool story there.
Local guy at Attica.
Larson got the, he was racing the hell out of Larson.
They were battling their ass off.
He was the second best car.
Larson kind of jumps the cushion and Rex like he has been doing here recently.
He said that about himself.
I'm not talking.
I couldn't believe that on the last Monday night.
He spun out on his own in the heat race.
it's like
that guy's washed
yeah right
yeah right
yeah right
about
62 year old Bobby Wilberg
won his 70 ninth race
at Madison
it's only a few wins
I think he's a handful
of wins behind trickle
for the most wins there
68 year old
Billy Moyer won at Batesville
Thunder Road
we had Jesse Laquare
I said
damn tapley told me
how to pronounce it
I don't know
the coolest division
name ever
The Flying Tigers
saw Brendan Moody
win the street stocks at Scott Weston.
He beat Hayden Bushy in a photo finish.
Over 30 cars in both those classes was really impressive
for a short track these days.
Bella Hamill was the winner in the kids division.
Kyle Goodbout won at White Mountain.
Flying Tigers was Luke Peters.
Donnie Bumgartner won the...
What are Flying Tigers?
They're kind of like...
Like a limited late mom.
Yeah.
Like a charger in a way.
Donnie Baumgarner won the Strictly Minis.
Legends was Ethan Aveller.
Oh, figure A Bob. Bobby Fine.
maybe the greatest short tracker
announcer in the history of racing as far as I'm concerned
called in with
the figure eight winners from this week.
Craig Kruger won at Wisconsin International
Jeffrey Shackleford won at the Speedrome.
Matt Johnson won at the Sports Dome.
Skyler Holshouser won the Fairtime
50 of the cross. Graham Huffman
won at Southern Illinois Raceway.
Jackson Fuchs won the Legends Car Race
at Langley. Zach Walker
won the New England 90 at Stafford,
which was Cleetus's race. A shout out to
Richard Childress for a top
finish. I asked them yesterday.
So fucking cool. I asked him yesterday.
I said, you're a little saw? He goes,
I'm ready, man. Let's do another.
I saw all the cars on the highway
on the way here. They're all on a big car carrier.
They're just packed just a bunch of crown things.
It's such an awesome event. One with a number
three on the side of it. The one video
I saw Richard come down pit road, the whole nose is blown
off the fucking thing. He's like, I had to move
them boys out of my way. They better
put his crown Vic in the RCR museum.
It's just so good to see. I mean, especially
it's Stafford. To me, Riverhead's my home
and my favorite racetrack. Stafford is the best
short track in the country as far as I'm concerned.
Just the program they put on, the facilities
are great. To see that place packed
out last, that night was
unbelievable. That show that Cleetus puts on,
I called it the Savannah Banana as a baseball year
day. It's, I'm sorry, of racing.
It's just, you know, it's a phenomenal
show. Where did I leave
off at? Zach Walker. How many does he
do a year of those? I don't know. He does a handful
at his track. I don't know where else he goes.
I know. Maybe Berlin.
I know he goes to Stafford.
I know he's having a late model race of Berlin,
so I assume he's having a Crown Vic race there as well.
But, yeah, I mean, wherever he goes, I mean, they packed the place out.
He's hit on it, man.
He's just a good showman.
You know, that's what people want to see is shit like that.
And it was a fun race to watch.
I watched some of the clips of priests bouncing off his shit all that long.
Downforce, Danny, I think he fell out of the seat.
Dude.
Think he fell out of the seat.
That's what I heard.
That's what I heard.
It wouldn't surprise me.
I figured he'd be upside out.
How did he fall out of a seat at a Crown Vic race?
It was hot.
It was thousand degrees up there.
If you're Danny stocking him, he come in.
Oh, yeah.
If you're Danny stocking with, it's probably not hard.
I don't know if you, he's not the best.
Quite the athlete.
R.C.
Richard's bus driver was telling Tim and I yesterday that, like, I guess RC really
didn't even realize, like, he said that when he got to the racetrack this weekend,
you know, there's people coming up to him, hey, man, that was so awesome.
And he's like, I had no idea all these people.
Like, we're watching it or paying attention to it.
Like, he had zero clue how big it actually was that they were doing
that.
Austin Terrace won the pro-stock race this week at Cravenstri Speedway up in Maine.
Clayton Clemens got his first career winner in Huntsville, Alabama.
Corey McPherson won his 53rd pro-stock race at Lernerville, making him the winning his
driver in the division.
Grundy County Speedway, the Frank Welsh Memorial had twin 50 lapers.
Ricky Baker and Max Kaler won the two races.
Paul Schaefer was the overall winner.
Riverside where we saw the IWX race where Nicholas Noggle won also had Caden
Tufts.
Kyle Reed win the Legends and Pro Stock races.
Waylon Farrell and Brady Creamer won the Legends and Sportsman Race the next night.
Zach Jersick won it was a 600 Speed Week winner.
Chase Good Luck, Gwlett, won his first band-o race at Star this weekend.
Doug Stack Jr. won his first career New York-Pen-Imad Series race at the Hill.
And as Carson mentioned a little bit earlier, the best winner of the weekend.
Rex and Bush won the micro race at Port City this week.
week, saw the bow, and I saw Samantha's
video, the fucking kid was ripping
the top of the racer.
He was down.
But, I mean, it's awesome
to see. I mean, we, I think obviously
all of us are peeling for Brex. We wanted to see him
win that legend car race a few weeks ago, but he ran
really strong to shoot out all week or
all season. Still got a couple of races left over
there. Just good to see him out there, dig in.
I think the car he was running this weekend
was Kyle's micro too. I think I saw Sam
something about that. He started pretty deep in the pack
too. He was like, started like
14th or something like that. So, but the video of him
ripping the top around the guy and got underneath him one time the guy chopped the hell out of him.
He almost climbed over the kid, I should say, climbed over the top of him.
But yeah, it was, it's just awesome to see him win.
Yeah.
Hit the epic pal in victory lane.
But yeah, it's just one of the-
Looking forward to seeing a lot more.
Yeah, for sure.
He's got it.
Yeah.
Yeah, and he's just a good kid.
He is.
Like just, like, we get to see him, you know, at the racetrack away from racing, right?
Like, and hanging out with Hudson and shooting basketball and stuff.
And, like, he's just a good kid.
Like, I mean, the heck with the racing stuff, whatever.
Racing's just part of life.
But to see the type of human he is, he's a tough nut, right?
He's a good, good person.
So that's cool.
Any racing in the future?
Yeah, I don't know.
I mean, we just tear up the yard.
And I have a lot of fun doing that with them.
And when I bring up racing, he's like, I don't want to race.
I just want to drive around shop.
I'm like, all right.
That's more fun anyways.
So it's a lot cheaper.
Dirt bikes.
Yeah, exactly.
And, you know, like, I thought about it.
It's a lot, too.
Like, you know, I started racing when I was six.
And I got to this level when I was, you know, 18 and all.
If I got here later, it wouldn't have made a difference.
You know, like, I didn't have to be the first one here and be the youngest to do it and all these records.
Like, I had fun doing it, right?
Like, I liked it.
That's why I did it because it was a fun, like, I loved cars.
But if he wants to, I mean, like, William Byron didn't start racing until he was a teenager, right?
Yeah.
he's pretty dang good
you know what I mean like so I don't think it has to happen
and like that's the one thing I cannot stand about
kids sports these days
it's way too serious way too early oh yeah
way too early which then just ends up hurting them
and I'm like oh my god what are we doing
cup like just show up in the back of your dang pickup truck
it's a freaking go cart what are we doing
it makes me so mad like it doesn't have
we don't have to spend all this money and all this time
they just let them go right
And me and Hutz, have we race in the yard a lot?
Kids got it.
He's freaking good.
Like, he's aggravating to race against.
I know where he gets out.
I know where he gets out of him.
He's a dick.
We're in wrecking each other.
But it's fun.
But he wants to shoot hoops.
He's obsessed with basketball.
And so he plays on a little basketball team.
That's fun, too.
That's fun.
I can't help him.
I know that, but I yell and scream from the grandstands.
I don't know what I'm yelling.
I just tell him the hustle harder.
Run harder.
There's only one thing that bothered me here this whole weekend.
Did you see Dixon's comments at all?
Scott Dixon?
Somebody interviewed him after one of the place.
Like he said something about, you know, I can't hardly watch a cup race these days.
I'm sorry you guys are having fucking barn burners every week over there, apparently.
I watch one indie car racing here
It's a 500 and it's a good race
That's the only one they have all year
That I think is a good race
I mean they have good races
Every that I'm not gonna fight fire on fire
You can't be careful but
I mean I think they do have
I mean I like watching all kinds of racing
It's all just different right
And but I don't know
It seems like a pot shot that was unnecessary
It seems like he has a little
A little beef or something
I don't know
Unless
There's more to the story
Maybe he should get in one
Everyone else is been jumping one of these things
Yeah come try it
Yeah
See if you stay awake.
They need to talk crap.
Yep.
See,
you can stay awake.
Exactly.
Yeah.
See,
you stay awake.
All right.
Joey,
thank you very much
for joining us.
Congratulations.
You're welcome.
We've had a little history
here recently.
Everybody that's been
coming on the show
has been winning.
So apparently now
if you just agree to come on,
it works in the same process.
I've also done a good
of picking people that
usually run good at certain places.
Oh,
he's got to pat himself on the back.
Don't break your arm,
Freddie.
Don't you take all the fucking credit.
Tommy's got all the credit here.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Because it was a random run into each other at the coffee joint.
Yep. Oh, yeah.
I don't drink coffee at all. I've never had a cup of coffee in my life.
But my wife drinks enough for 10 people.
Because she's got 10 kids over there.
Yeah, that's probably why. And we were driving to Atlanta, and we had to stop at Starbucks to get a coffee for the road.
And you were in there.
I texted. I said, do you want to do it? I said, let's go. Like I said, I never get invited.
This is the only time.
I text folly. I said, has Wilkesboro.
That'd be a good one to her show.
Yeah, I know.
But no, we appreciate you coming by.
Yeah, thank you.
We'll have to have you back in here more often.
But Tommy, where are we going this weekend?
Are you racing?
Where are we going?
Indie.
Just indie.
No, the kids aren't.
No, no.
We're going to take a little break.
Carson, no car store, I assume.
No cars tour, but I will be at Langley for the Hampton Heat,
bringing our merch trailer up there
and I'll have Lee and Caden.
stuff and actually some new
Whiskey Myers teas and some other things that have rolled in.
Lee's back in the J.R.M. car?
Yep. Lee is running one of the J.R.M. cars and Caden Quapples.
So I figure Langley's a good one for us.
And, I mean, anytime I can go to the triple ground
races, I like to, so I'm excited.
The second one? Second number three, right? Martinsville's the last thing.
And then Martinsville in September.
Yeah, well, we... So come see me at the merch trailer if he'll be in Langley.

We thank everybody for listening.
I have survived my first episode, a little gravely, but I'll be back next week as long as nothing goes terribly wrong in the next couple of days.
But thanks for listening again.
Thank you, Joey, for stopping by.
We'll be back next week with, I believe, Corey Heim is going to jump in the guest chair.
So that'll be a fun one.
We'll see.
time time. We'll see you guys then. We're out. Peace out.
