There was a lot of virality of people making fun of me about V-Friends
because people are clipping little different things out of context.
If everyone understood that tries to troll me or fuck with me or shit on me
or try to change the narrative that isn't true about me,
if they understood how much of a bitch I think they are
and how much I have no comprehension or capability to consume their negativity,
the only thing I deploy is hope that they get their shit right,
that they realize the way to get big is not to tear everyone down,
but to actually do shit.
Like, they would die out of sadness if they understood how much more of a gangster I am.
I feel bad for them.
What's up?
What's up, guys, Mr. Zach here, and welcome to the season with a check.
You can Michael Parson get you a set.
Kings today. I'm honored to be joined by the chairman of Vayner X, president of VaynerMedia and founder
of Vee friends, Mr. Gary Vee. How are you doing? I'm well, brother. How are you? I'm doing well.
Season two, Dave, you kicking it off. We got football season coming up. I am humbled to be the
first guest on season two. We're excited about the Jets or what are you thinking here? Am I excited
about the Jets? I am wildly excited about the Jets. I literally was just saying in a business meeting,
the person started the call by saying,
ah, damn, the summer's ending,
and I'm like, you know, it's so funny,
the thing I hated most in my life was school.
But the Jets always made it a little bit better
because I knew I was going back to school
and the summer was over,
but I knew game one of the Jets season was coming.
And my love affair with the Jets was so great
that it made the thing be a little bit better.
Same now in my older age,
you know, summer, family time,
you really value it.
But this thing comes off
because I know,
on September 13th, I am flying on the 12th to Nashville
to stick it to my buddy Robert Sala and his
Titans, and I'm incredibly excited, but I'm realistic.
Like, I'm not delusional. I don't think we're going, you know,
11 and 6 this season. You're not a Cowboys fan.
I'm, yeah, yeah, I, you know, to give empathy to Cowboy fans,
they have so much talent every year that I understand why they think
it's going to be here. You know, with us, we've
struggled with talent.
And the reason I'm optimistic this year is there's a lot of young players that I believe
are very good football players.
And I'm a 40-year Jets fan.
I've watched at times when Tenenbaum and Rex, like I've seen different eras, even
though it's been a long time, where I, in the mid-80s, when they were really drafting
well in the early 80s, I knew when we were getting close to being good because we were doing
the right things in the draft, which is really the key to the NFL.
I think the Jets have been doing the right thing.
they have by far the best two young tackle combo in the NFL.
They've got a really good running back situation.
They potentially have something brewing at wide receiver.
They have a remarkable young situation at tight end.
The interior line is really, really solid.
And Gino, and I know the jokes will be made,
because I understand where Gino sits out of 32 quarterbacks,
but if Gino has the 21st best season of the 32 quarterbacks,
that's already seven to eight slots to 10 to 11 slots better than we've had
every year except Aaron Rogers one healthy year for the last six years
so we have competency at the quarterback position
with an offensive line that I think is much more similar to what he had in Seattle
than what he had in Vegas with a running game that I think is really sneaky
with Reese Hall, Brain and L. Allen and Isaiah Davis
with Mason Taylor and Sadiq at tight end even Ruckert is a top five blocking
tight end, our third tight end.
If you get anything from A.D. Mitchell
to compliment Garrett, right?
Big reports coming out of camp.
And you get something from the rookie in Cooper
and they're hyping Isaiah, Williams,
who was a great special teamer last year, making strides
at receiver. You could see an offense
that could put up some points.
Bailey's been great in camp and look good in the
first preseason game in his limited play.
I think
our defensive line is going to be good.
I am concerned about our linebackers.
You know, our back seven defense.
I think could give up a lot of points.
But it should be at least interesting
instead of like kind of like waking up
on Sunday mornings walking in and being like
we're gonna find who's 30 to 7 today.
That's all valid points.
Thank you.
I thought it was a very...
That was a very analytical breakdown.
Everybody in my family when I was a teenager
was like, you're gonna be a sports reporter
and I was like I'm gonna be an entrepreneur,
but I think I could do this job well.
I think you could do it well.
And that was me growing up as well.
Like, I'm going to be a sports journalist.
I'm going to be a newscaster.
And then kind of ended up having a Facebook live show at 14 and kind of growing up from
there started doing the whole podcasting thing at 19 and worked my way up.
I mean, if I had your face, I would want to be on TV too.
Like, that makes sense to me.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Appreciate that.
This was accidental.
I was trimming my beard and it went away.
I took about five years off the face.
And now I'm getting called Bud and Buddy a lot.
Nice.
Which doesn't usually happen.
So it's been a transition period today.
big news that came out yesterday.
I want to get your thoughts on this
because I think it's the perfect thing
to bring up YouTube.
Big time change.
The views now act as one second,
not many seconds.
How does that change the landscape here?
I think there'll be a,
you know, now I'm going to get very nerdy,
I apologize everybody.
In media land behind the scenes
in the BDB world
where I play in Vayner Media
for the big brands,
the Chase Banks,
the, you know, the eBay's,
the fanatics,
the Coca-Cola's, Pepsi's,
Kellogg's,
PayPal's.
It will matter
because we have to recalibrate
the way we
report metrics. All of a sudden, if our baseline was we're getting 400,000 views, now you're
getting 1.2 million. So it's going to recalibrate. But to YouTube's credit, all the other platforms
are going in that place, have been in that place. And then television and print and outdoor and
radio, they're just making up numbers. So, like, there'll be a recalibration. I would argue
in the scheme of things, it's a non-event when it's all said and done. But how would it affect
like the selling of like, you know,
people sell on a CPM, so
it's gonna have to figure it out, right?
In the next 100 days,
call it even a full year,
the market, the B2B marketing
market will recalibrate
do we see a 2x, a 3x,
because they'll get all the data,
and then it will just reset the table.
So if you were getting 50 bucks for a thousand,
now you're getting 15 bucks or 16 bucks
because you just slice it, you know, that's all.
Yeah.
Not a bet.
People are saying that this is kind of YouTube
showing their hand that they're moving towards prioritizing longer form content. Do you agree with that?
I don't know if that would be my high take, hot take. I think it's YouTube not allowing its competitors
to show bigger numbers than them on a technicality. So if you're YouTube and you're computing
with somebody who's doing one second views and somebody saying I'm getting four million views here,
but one million views on YouTube, you want to be in that form. Like, you know, they don't want to get
beat on some. Yeah. Makes sense to me. Ultimately,
at the end of the day, all the metrics mean nothing
unless businesses see results on their business.
So you could be Fugazi and running B.
Numbers and you know what I mean?
Yeah, no.
Like you can get away with some B2.
This goes back to my biggest thing for all the kids
that are listening.
If you care about having a long career
versus just a good rookie season,
you're not gonna overthink about this
because at the end of the day, for example,
somebody might have 10,000 views on YouTube
versus somebody else that has a million,
but they're 10,000,
and someone else's millions don't buy shit.
Guess who's going to get the ad revenue?
I'm not worried about numbers.
I'm worried about impact, influence.
Got it?
Like this show, it's narrow enough
that you'll never be a show
that gets 100 million views,
but if it's impactful
to sports culture,
to gambling, then you will have a business.
Makes sense?
Makes sense to me.
That's it.
And obviously you're negotiating these deals.
There's KPIs, there's certain things.
Hey, we want this, you know,
a dollar amount for cost for acquisition,
stuff like that, you get into the weeds of it.
That's right. There's CAD, there's LPD. That's right.
While your audience translates to,
which is how impact you have. That's right. So that's why for you,
what really matters is actually giving a shit about your audience.
So they with you so heavy that when you do have something you're promoting,
there's almost like a subconscious,
I wouldn't call it guilt,
but want to support you because you've been bringing them value.
And there's got to be some trust to where you're not just promoting anything
all the time,
whoever gives you that bag.
And they're all watching you to see,
they'll let you get away with that first bag.
And if they really like you,
they might even let you get away with that second bag.
But if you become a straight,
the local,
and there's no,
you don't give a shit.
They're going to eventually be like,
fuck you, dude, I'm going somewhere else.
It's a bad way to live.
Listen, I don't like to judge.
Like, it's a way to live.
Like, I think there's a very real dynamic
between producer of content and audience,
whether it's a human or a company,
how much value do you bring
versus how much are you asking for in return?
And I've had a long career
because I'm way more obsessed
with trying to give more value to my audience
than the occasional time
where I want them to buy a V-Friends collectible
or some wine from winetext.com or something else.
Let's talk about V-Friends.
What is that today in 2026?
It is a fidgetal, collectible,
intellectual property, storytelling universe.
Let me break that down.
It is a universe of 280 characters
more similar to Marvel and Disney
or Hannah Barbarra
where I have a plethora of characters, right?
Notorious Ninja and Rare Robot
and Fearless Ferry
and Motivated Monster that I'm developing
in comic book form that we sell comic books
and trading cards and collectible coins.
So it's a collectible universe similar to like Pokemon.
But the stories I'm telling
in the comic books are a little bit more
intent driven with purpose,
almost like Jim Henson,
and what he did with Muppets
and really with Sesame Street
where I want grownups, kids, teenagers
to fall in love with these characters,
but I want them to understand
the value of accountable aunt
or resilient, like resilient red devil.
Real talk, brother,
your, like right now the biggest issue in the world
is 15 to 25 year olds
don't have enough resilience.
Somebody makes fun of them
on one comment in social media
and they fold like a little,
like you're telling me you're gonna be a fucking
gangster and like Johnny Pants 49 says your podcast sucks and you're like,
wah,
we've gotten soft.
100%.
Like you've got grown ass men out here making content telling the boys that it's the
women's fault.
If you're a fucking alpha dude,
if you're an alpha dude and you think it's the girlies fault,
you're a fucking.
So you can see why I'm passionate about making resilient red devil.
So through my cartoons,
my video games,
animated films that I'm all gonna come out with,
I'm gonna teach people,
no shit there's bumps in the road.
No shit like someone's gonna fuck get,
try to get you.
You might have to fight.
Fistacuffs like old school.
Yes, people are gonna misunderstand you.
But if you're not resilient
because you've got confidence inside,
you're not winning shit.
So whether it's that or accountable ant,
which is this little aunt
that's gonna tell all you fucking like,
it's your fault.
So like, I have real purpose,
but kindness and compassionate catfish,
This is going to be a little catfish through kids books, video games,
animated films and comic books that are going to teach people like,
yo, have some feelings for other people.
Stop being so self-centered.
When someone cuts you off in a car,
don't try to slam and get into road rage.
Think about that person might be,
go through a divorce or has an alcoholic issue.
Or like, can we have a little compassion?
Why is everybody so mad?
So I have purpose with V friends.
Very big purpose.
And I also am very passionate about collectibles and like want to build a business.
I would say it's my most selfish.
because I want to change the world,
heal the world, do right by the world,
but also selfless because I want to do that.
And also selfish.
I think I can build a billion dollar IP
more similar to Disney or Pokemon or Marvel or Star Wars.

Livided time offer.
You put out so much content that's getting repurposed in so many different ways.
Some motivational, some to help people accountable.
Recently, the V friends, people making jokes by the Dental Giant.
Yes.
So when you see that, right, does your mind go, oh, how do I use this to promote?
No, that one I left alone because like meme, I don't want to create speculation.
You know, I watch everything.
Really, when I make content, my, you know, my main focus, 99% of my content is mental perspective or business tactics.
Like, for example, everybody, you want to get more famous or get more known, go on TikTok live right now and just stand there and make content and talk to the audience.
they will send you randomly into people's FYP
and you will gain people who've never heard of you.
You should do an hour of TikTok live
every morning when you're getting ready
because more people will see you
and that will lead to this show.
It's free audience.
So a lot of it's tactical like that.
And then a lot of it is motivational,
but motivational from a lens of like optimism
and accountability, not cynicism and bitch.
The V-Friends stuff like once in a blue moon,
I'm going to make content like we have trading cards out.
Like to me it's like give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give, give,
99% of my content.
And then occasionally, hey, I've got this thing I'd like you to consider to buy, but no
expectation.
Like, like, I'm not out here trying to manipulate.
I'm trying to have one part of my life where I'm making really good impact.
And I have an entrepreneurial life that I'd be thrilled if some people want to, but if not,
I will find my audience there.
No, absolutely.
And, uh, I would be ecstatic if that many people were watching any clip in me where there's
of her negative because I feel like we live in a world now where your face and getting out there
and the clipping and the views and the impressions are kind of what's driving the creator economy right now.
I see where I'm going to go back to now where I see where you're alluding. So what you're
alluding to is in the last couple weeks, there was a lot of virality of people making fun of me
about V friends because people are clipping little different things out of context and I'm talking
about these creatures and people are like, whoa, you're supposed to be like this business.
What the fuck are you talking about? And then obviously meme culture and people are making jokes.
you know to me
that goes back to what I said earlier
like if everybody who tries to fade me
understood
how much I don't give a fuck about them
nor the negativity
they would be so disheartened bro
if everyone that understood
that tries to troll me or fuck with me
or sh** on me or try to change the narrative
that isn't true about me
if they understood how much of a bitch
I think they are
and how much I have no comprehension
or capability
to consume their negativity.
The only thing I deploy
is hope that they get their shit right,
that they realize the way to get big
is not to tear everyone down,
but to actually do shit.
Like, they would be out of sadness
if they understood
how much more of a gangster I am
than they think I am
and how much, like,
that I think they're, like,
I feel bad for them.
Well, you brought up the resilient red ant
and I'm like,
and then you talked about how like
people hear little comments
and like they fold.
And then I thought of you.
I'm like, dude,
you get so many comments.
I never even see.
you common on it or just rolls off your back.
It's like water.
Not because I think I'm so great,
but because I couldn't comprehend spending my time
sh-sh-on-people.
It's a miserable life.
Like, I just, I genuinely back to compassion,
sympathy, sympathetic, like, I deploy the characters
I build in V-Friends, like empathy, sympathy, compassion.
I'm always thinking like, yo, your account
is about tearing down people or like you spend a lot of your time
people, you're not good.
Bro, do you know anyone
who spends the majority of their time
people are being cynical
that are actually in a good place?
No.
Every one of us, every one of us
that's watching right now,
when we have a friend
in our circle,
and all of us probably do,
especially if we're in bro culture,
like us boys,
when you have a friend
who's always like,
this sucks, this blows,
I'm always gonna lose,
no girl's gonna like me,
like they're just Debbie Downer.
Yeah.
Because we know them so well,
you know one of their parents
is fuck up and fuck them up.
you know something horrible happened to them.
Like, you don't have a single friend
that's always down that isn't actually down.
And we're mad at them for trying to tear us down,
like bring us down.
I'm never mad at those friends.
My best friends, many of them,
I worked with for years to get them out of their depression
or their, like, bad place
because I love them.
They're my boy.
I don't want how their mom parented them
to continue to the way they parent.
And so,
so yeah, I mean, cynicism and skepticism and negativity,
I've always been Superman to that shit.
I've always been like, fuck you, that is not my kryptonite.
Absolutely.
And I mean, obviously you've been on the internet for a really long fucking time too.
Yeah, but even though I, to your point,
even though I've been doing it for 20 years,
it started that way.
Day one in 2006 when I did the wine show,
all the negative comments, I'm like,
oh, they're just upset because their wine business is not doing as well as mine.
and I never, you know,
I think way too much
we're like,
these people,
they're just jealous,
and they're just,
I'm not in the fuck that.
First of all,
I think a lot of it's funny.
Like that one dude
that did his own drawings of it,
I thought it was fucking hilarious.
Like, first of all,
I like stand-up comedy too much,
and I also don't think I'm shit.
Real talk,
I think so humbly of myself
that when people make fun,
I'm not hurt mainly
because I think it's funny most of the time.
So there's also that part.
There's two things going on with me.
Most people get triggered and want to fight.
I go into two places.
Most of the time, I just think it's funny.
Especially when they're really doing it
more like half joking, half razzing.
Some people just want to make hit pieces.
Them, I'm like, man, I hope they're gonna be okay.
Yeah.
But people that are kind of like funny,
like that one guy I didn't fully see,
but he like Drew, he's like making up funny characters.
Like, first of that shit is just funny.
Second, if they're really trying to hurt me,
which I don't think most people are,
but if they are,
Then I go directly into like, damn, imagine spending your time trying to hurt someone.
They're not good.
I hope they get into the right place perspective-wise.
I actually hope they so focus on me that they keep watching me that I secretly trick them.
I mean, I've had this happen through the last time.
Oh, yeah, there's definitely-perger.
The amount of people that have hit me up on long, tearful letters, messages, emails were like,
they first were following me to kind of get me and, like, and then, like,
They got, they got fuck.
Like, they listened too much to me,
and they started becoming more positive,
and they started becoming happier.
And they're like, this is the love letter.
They sent me 10 years later being like,
yo, you fucking changed my life on some,
I think I'm gonna fuck you.
I got ropa doped.
I was looking at all your stuff so much
to clip you and fuck you
that I got suckered into believing
that the world could be good,
and I cut out some of the poison,
and that to me is like,
I don't know if you could see this, bro,
but like, that to me is when the goose spot,
like, to me this is,
that's my legacy,
Way more than anything else I do.
Walk me through a day in the life of Gary V.
You know, I wake up 7 a.m. or so, go to the gym, take a shit.
Look at my email.
And then basically, I'm very much an 8.30 to 9 a.m. to minimum 7 p.m.
No lunch, meetings, meetings, meetings.
You know, I have so many companies, Vayner Sports, VaynerMedia, V friends.
Vayner Wat, the TV production company, VCR to the restaurant group,
my alternative sports investments in pickleball,
whiffa ball, all these leagues I'm involved in.
Investing.
Esports. My personal brand, my content, all that,
writing books, giving speeches.
So usually I'm somewhere in a ballpark of 10 hours
straight of meetings.
Family dinner time, then go back out for meetings.
Like, I work a lot.
I'm definitely a 10 to 12 hour a day,
work day, Monday through Friday guy,
which is not for everyone.
And I definitely vacation more,
six, seven weeks a year now, so to get more quality time, which, you know, is 10% of, you know,
10% of the year of week. So I'm, I'm getting my balance in extremism. But I definitely,
I definitely love what I do. And, but yeah, man, I work. And a lot of 15 minute meetings,
a lot of 30 minute meetings. Like, you look at my Google calendar, like most people, when they
come into my office, sometimes my Google calendars on the, like, it, people are taking a little bit
a back and when people start working with me,
like train who's behind the cameras right now
when he started first filming, like he
got recommended by my friend Jason Morrea.
He knew Gary V content. I don't think he
understood how it was every minute
for 12 hours. Not like, oh,
you work, because most humans like
have breaks in between their meetings and take
an hour and a half of lunch. Like,
I'm very much robotic.
I used to always say I was busy
until the last like maybe six months. Like, oh, this is
what busy actually is. Yeah, and you'll do
it more. Like if hopefully God willing,
your career keeps going.
I did the same thing.
I was always a workaholic.
I thought at 34,
I was busy building my dad's wine business for him
when I went out on my own.
Like,
phton,
29-year-old Gary
who worked 9 to 7 in a liquor store
and had some downtime
and like this Gary at 50 is fucking
will shit on that kid.
I'm busyness.
I just sh** him anyway,
but like, you know, on busyness.
No, I think,
and also the biggest miss.
misconception is like the working out, the cardio,
all that type of stuff makes you more tired.
You want to, that gives me energy.
Like, that's what gives me life.
That's what drives me throughout the day.
You're in good shape.
I was used to be in really shape.
I've gotten a lot better in the last 12 years.
Not for me.
Really?
Yeah, I was in a gym this morning early.
Like, I still hate it.
12 years I've been committed.
I'm a seven day a week guy, but obviously try,
what things happen, but like, I'm in the gym.
I still hate it with all my heart.
When I tell you it's the hardest thing
do, but I will say something. Me winning health and wellness, eating better, gym, like all that stuff
has definitely made me believe that other people can break through things that don't come natural to
them. This was the, I used to struggle in my mid-30s when I would talk about advice and make content
because I only did things that came natural to me. It comes natural to me to work 12 hours a day.
It comes natural to me to be nice to people. So I was always like, am I a hippocom.
crit, like, if someone at home
doesn't come natural to work, can they really?
You know, I used to think about it. And then
this happened. And I'm like, if I can
do this, because I am in
the top 10% of people on earth
that hates the gym. I hate, this
morning, I was like, this fucking blow,
but I do it. Because I want to
live longer, I want to see my grandkids
and all that stuff. I have things to accomplish.
I think I'm in the prime of my entrepreneurial career.
I think what I'm going to do for the next 20 years
is insanity. And I'd like, you know,
you've got to be alive and healthy and why
not. But it comes very hard to me. It comes hard to me to go in gym. It comes hard to me to be
disciplined with clean eating and calories, but I'm winning. And that makes me think that people
that are kind of lazy on work ethic or insecure can get to confidence. It makes me believe in the
capacity of human beings. You just gained a fan of my mother. Nice. Yeah, she's very similar,
you know. Stacey. Stacey, I love you. I'm making her do air squats, walk, eat healthy, protein shakes.
Yeah.
She only does if I tell her, but no one else.
Stace, it's important.
Stace, it really matters.
Stace, it really matters. Stace, you need to be, how old your mom?
56.
Stace, you're a fucking kid.
You got 40 fucking more years.
What the fuck are you?
Like, listen to him, seven days a week.
You look good.
That look good.
A lot of hard work.
Girls like you.
Yeah, yeah, they do lately.
But it wasn't always like that.
I had to work hard in the gym and get up and go after it and go after it.
And now you got a little thing.
A little notoriety.
It always makes guys look a little bit better.
I miraculously got hotter.
as my fame grew.
I love the girls like,
oh, you must have so many girls messaging.
Like, oh, yeah, girls love sports betting.
Yeah.
They get some real turn on.
When I nail that Super Bowl pick,
when I picked the Seahawks and the under,
ooh, they really got turned on, man.
They got going, huh?
Yeah, they got going.
Boasted up.
Yeah.
It really, uh, who rev their engine.
No, so mostly male audience, but, uh...
Of course.
Of course.
But the famous.
Yeah, but the algorithm does the algorithm thing.
Like, you can mix it up.
could like dress up nice and just post a nice glam shot and like let that Algo do its thing.
Don't underestimate the algorithm.
We have like certain guests who can hit the female demo, right?
I mean, certain ones don't at all.
Of course.
Yeah, of course.
The Jake Pauls, he can hit both.
Yeah, he's just got overall fame.

What makes Jake Paul, Mr. Beas, Logan Paul different in the landscape?
Why are they so good at getting the attention from everybody around the world?
Experience.
They've all been doing it a long time, bro.
You know, as the OG of the OGs, who was like with those homies day one,
they've been doing it a long time, dude.
Like when I discovered Logan and like flew him out to New York for his first brand deal,
That was Vine, what, 14, 15?
We're now talking about a decade every day.
Jake and Logan, Beast, have all been doing it every day, every day, all in.
I know all three of them well.
Every day, all in, all in for a decade.
And they were naturally talented.
But, like, no one talks about Beast being part of a group of, like, five or ten people,
up 24 hours a day trying to figure out how to do thumbnails.
Every day.
You know, people love to shit on Logan and Jake.
I've watched those guys, they f-work, bro.
And they're naturally charismatic.
Or, you know, Jake and Logan is naturally charismatic.
Oh, yeah.
Jake is also charismatic, but, like, very thoughtful.
They were also both willing to be villains,
which is a very rare tree and that, like, just like wrestling.
I always said Logan was, like a wrestler, like a heel,
and then he actually became one.
Beast is more, is less charismatic.
Beast is more an actor than an improv actor.
Like Beast needs like script.
He's more like Academy Award winner than he is naturally.
Like Logan could crush S&L.
Beast would suck on S&L.
Like Beast needs more structure.
Right?
But Beast is a attention savant.
He understand how it works.
And he's an incredible high production.
And he understands,
game show dynamics.
Like, Beast Games was an obvious one for me from afar.
Great entrepreneur.
All three of them are entrepreneurs, not just creators.
I am entrepreneur creator.
They are creator entrepreneurs.
There are very few people that do both.
You understand?
I do.
Most people are talent and need management and business people around them.
They don't.
So they just, they're talented, and they've got experience,
and they've been doing it a long time.
I mean, I believe in Jake so much,
I'm going to invest in his VC fund and talk to him.
As you should.
I just had dinner with him in New York around Fanatic Sign.
He gave me like three tips, a piece of advice, implemented them all.
The next pod got like 14X, the normal engagement in the first 40 hours.
Let's help the world.
Yeah, well, number one, he was like, your biggest power right now in social media is clipping.
Yeah, of course.
He's like, get going, clippers.
I don't go, I just start clipping, right?
So the next day I had a podcast with clicks.
Yeah.
And Clicks is like, dude, I have a clipping company.
Of course.
I'm like, let me get started.
Yeah.
He gave me the wiring info.
I sent that undisclosed amount and got going.
And then all of a sudden, everyone's looking up our podcast and the SEO is going crazy.
And he's like, dude, lean into the controversy.
Lean into the beef.
Yeah.
Like make that a part of the show and what you do and who you are.
And we had a MMA fighter on who had some beef with some fighters.
I opened it up with that.
He told the story.
Went ballistic.
Yeah.
1400 comments, two days.
He was like, take everything hands on yourself, really get into the weeds of it.
I did that.
Did the thumbnail.
did the description, the hashtags and all that
and never felt more fulfilled and better.
Good for you.
Now you're starting to become creator-entrepreneur.
Notice?
Like you're starting to get into the business aspects of it.
Creative, you know, I've been,
people laugh about me saying more content, more content.
Bro, the Gary V brand is posting a thousand pieces of content a day.
A day.
Oh, shit.
A thousand pieces of content.
Across 100 handles.
at, I just stood up at FunnyVee,
and we're clipping everything
that's ever made an audience left
in the history of my content.
So, yeah, I mean, like, you know,
when you start understanding what to do,
everybody who's listening,
Gary VEE.com slash attention.
I wrote a book called Day Trading Attention,
but then even people like,
I don't want to buy the book.
It's 20 bucks. I don't have 20 bucks.
I was like, fuck it, I'll give it to you for free.
I'm eliminating every excuse.
So GaryVE.E.com slash attention.
can help you go into more detail
if you're a student on some of the stuff here.
And by the way, if you're watching this,
you want to clip this podcast,
we're going to do a campaign.
Nice.
With Reach Cliffing, you know,
if you love Gary Vee.
That's awesome.
Yeah, yeah, get some attention.
How would someone get started
to post a thousand pieces of content?
That sounds so insane.
Do you need, like, a certain infrastructure?
Can Joe Schmo at home go out and do it?
Joe Schmo at home can do it
if they start leaning into AI, right?
If you start building an open claw,
if people know what that is,
If you don't know what that is, go Google it or chat GPT it or claw it.
You set up a home computer.
You give it lenses and tasks and you create prompts that allow you to like ingest an entire video and let it chop it for you.
Or you have a little bit of more money and you start hiring a team or you outsource it to services who are probably using AI and people overseas low cost humans to clip it up.
there's a lot of different ways to do it.
But again, the answers on how to do things are over.
You don't need Gary V anymore like you did for the last two decades.
You literally go to AI and be like, how do I do this?
In detail.
Like literally everyone right now who's like, oh, I don't get it.
Literally you go into chat, GBT, you go into Claude,
you go into Gemini and you're like, and in detail, by the way.
I do audio when I go in detail.
So if I was like, I'll make pretend I'm doing it right now.
Hey, I was just watching this podcast with Gary Vee and he talked about making a thousand piece of content.
I have no money.
but I make my podcast.
How would I go about using AI for free
because I don't want to use tokens and credits?
I have no money.
This is, by the way, how I do prompts.
But I really need to know how to figure out
what are the first steps, what I do?
And then it gives you an answer
and then whatever you don't understand.
Hey, I don't understand that second part.
Now, what is a harness machine?
I don't get, like, and you just, you fucking talk.
I talk to my, I don't type.
I mean, I do if it's a quick one,
but when I have, like, a real thing
I'm trying to think through,
I just talk with my AI.
I do those well.
Yeah.
Yeah, same thing.
Because I'm a better communicator than I am writer.
You're a better or writer.
Thank you.
What would be your response to people who say,
AI is horrible,
I never use chat GPT,
this is killing the world,
we need real artistry,
it's useless,
people do it better.
That demonizing thing outright
without understanding
every big technology
has some pros and cons
is loser mentality.
You know, I'm sorry to say it,
but it is.
Like to, when you're a great,
grandmother lives another 10 years
because AI medicine found something
a human could never find.
I have a funny feeling
you're gonna have a different take on AI.
Photoshop didn't kill the creative class.
The creative class learned how to use Photoshop.
This is what always happens.
You know what animators said about computers?
No, no, no.
We need real art.
When the canvas was invented,
you know, what we all consider art.
The canvas.
When it was created,
the artists of the day
said that art on canvas
wasn't real art, you had to do art on a building for it to be considered art.
I think that most people are bad at history and didn't pay attention in history class.
I think that AI will inevitably have some downside.
So does everything.
Automobiles had downside.
On an individual level, some people got killed by an automobile that would have never been killed by a horse.
Things happen.
The upside of this technology will be understood over the next 50 years.
It will bring people more time.
Here's a good one.
If I told you that AI would lead to the four-day work week,
how many people do you think would sign up for AI right now?
Almost everyone, right?
More time with your family, more time for leisure.
I think AI will have some incredibly,
it already has had incredibly cool outcomes.
And sure, I'm empathetic to people that are financially affected by it.
That's who's most upset by it.
The biggest agenda I have is to push practical optimism
that everything's available.
your opportunities today of what you're doing
are far greater than what we had.
Yet, all of Gen Z is being told on social media
you've never had it worse.
Meanwhile, we've never had more 20-year-old millionaires
in the world than right now.
So which one is it?
Is it the real-life data
that if you're a gangster 20-year-old,
you've never had more opportunity?
Or is it that your parents had it easier
because the house costs $6,000?
No shit, it's called inflation.
And I know people standardize it,
and I do believe we have a little bit of a separate
of wealth issue, but on an individual basis, everyone is capable of shit.
The more people I see complaining that are in my age bracket, the more people I know that
are there to just run over.
100%.
You're just fucking obstacle at that point.
Yes.
And I don't want them run over.
I want them to stop listening to the propaganda and realizing they're capable.
And if they're funny or if they're smart, I mean, fuck, if you're attractive, bro,
do you understand what being a 10 male or female is?
is today compared to 40 years ago.
maybe 1.01% could be a model or an actress.
But meanwhile, what was really happening
was you were just get hit on all the time
or hooking up all the time, whatever.
Today, you can make $100,000 a year in brand deals
by just being, you can be dumb as a fuck rock.
Motivated zero.
A fucking loser in every way,
except mommy and daddy were attractive
or grandpa and grandma were attractive
and you're fucking a smoke show, male or female,
and literally just post pictures
and fashion brands and health brands
are going to give you money.
See, I'm talking about...
There you go, my AI's paying the fiction.
You know, so like,
man, the opportunities have never been greater.
If you're a comedian,
you used to have to fucking eat shit
15 years in the clubs to, like,
have a micro breakthrough.
Now you're making content on social media,
getting brand deals subsidized for you,
and you're on Netflix in 20.
four months. I mean, are you kidding me? It's never been a greater opportunity time because of the
internet and social media and all this stuff. And yet, because of propaganda of f***ing, and because
of modern parenting that over coddled their kids too much, we've got a bunch of people crying
about shit that is actually good for them, not bad for them. That's my favorite thing about your
content is the sports euphonisms and analogies. That's where my brain goes. Like, and, you know,
On Sundays, I pick the games, people call me.
I'm like, it's the first quarter relaxed.
We're at halftime.
And then you use that for life.
The same things I'm saying about the sports, you can apply it to life.
And then that, you know, for me, it's a light bulb.
Real quick, well, I've got you.
What's the general pop tend to like?
The under or the over?
Which is this, what's the psychotic?
Everybody goes for the over.
Everybody.
The gen pop.
They love the over.
It's funny.
No wonder I've had my life.
I don't really.
bet a lot, I always go for the under.
Do you do well?
I don't even know. I don't gamble enough.
But like when I want to or I occasionally think about it, my natural instincts is to go
for the under.
They love the over. They love parleyes. They love the over.
I like parlays too. Like I, like to me, when I go to the casino, like when I go to Vegas,
I've won agenda to literally take the house down. Like that at the end of them, when I
at four in the morning, it's no longer wins. It's Vayner. Like I play high risk, high
which is why they do so well. I never.
win because I have no interest in like winning a little bit. I'm there to
destroy the building and take them to the ground or or let them take all my
money for the entertainment. But it's funny, I always wanted to ask someone
that knew and I always forget to ask. I'm so glad I remembered. I don't know what
it is about my brain. I always go under. That's rare. Especially football
where I think injuries are a variable that you know and I don't know why I go to the
offensive side getting injured more than the lead the you know corner
which would then open up a lot of scoring.
Yeah, I always go, that's interesting.
Is that right?
Is that the answer?
No, people love the f***overs.
I mean, the number, like,
So that's why they're sh-off in the first quarter when it's zero-zero.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yes, 100%.
And they love the, they love the 12, 14, 16 legers, too.
I always, I'm like, I'll give them a few winning picks.
And then they'll add 10.
I'm like, bro, what are you doing?
Yeah, and by the way, like, even if you're a savant,
like, even if you're a savant, I have no idea how,
good or not good you are at this,
like it's gambling.
Like, your percentage can only be so good.
What's considered like a gangster?
Like if you're 55, 60% right?
Yeah. That's a gangster?
I mean, if you're 56, 57% you're like,
you're a gangster, yeah.
That's cool.
For context, like I picked the last seven Super Bowls, right?
That's epic.
The last one was easy for me.
It was.
And it felt so good.
I got Seahawks in the Under and it was...
That one felt...
I also did amongst my friend group.
but I didn't bet it, but like, yeah.
I felt like it was the easiest to analyze since I began doing it publicly.
Is that right?
I also as like a diehard sports.
I also have a big sports agency, so we have a bunch of Seahawks.
You know, we have Zach Charbonnet.
We have Leonard Williams.
We also have priced or new running back.
People are hell out about you about your sports agency.
That's that?
That's sick that you have all these NFL guys.
We have Vayner sports reps, Aiden Hutchinson.
Oh, by the way, you know all those memes about who's Kirk Cudson's agents?
Vayner Sports.
How much money have you guys made him?
Mike, who's his lead agent.
I don't even want to take any credit.
I mean, more than Tom Brady.
Wow.
You know, we also had- That's a Mike.
We also had Sunny Seiles, who just went seventh.
Oh, my God.
We also rep CJ Carr at Notre Dame this year, and we're hoping for our first ever.
It could be a number one pick.
We're hoping for our first ever number one pick.
We have a boy, we have a ton of great athlete.
Sonny Seals.
We also have a big UFC practice.
You was a being Gary, right?
We sure do.
That was tough the other night, but I thought he felt, you know, he's a little.
I think a stock went up.
I agree. We're huge in baseball. Kevin McDonagall, happy birthday. It's his birthday today.
Chase Burns, we just did $200 million plus contracts. We have Brandon Miller in the NBA.
We're just getting into NBA. So AJ and I are building a very large sports agency.
You got clicks? He was like, I've been signed to Gary for four years. I'm like, what?
We have clicks. Mongrel. We're very big in e-sports. We're building a very big sports agency.
No, I love it. Incredible. We got to collab with some of them, you know?
We'll do it. It's one big ecosystem. Yeah, sauce, savage, for sure. But Sunny's
I mean, that guy can be a Hall of Famer. I mean, when you're
that tall, that large, and that fast. He's a modern linebacker.
It's ironic, though, I have to root very heavy
against Sauce this year.
Yeah, you do. We have the Colts number one pick.
The Jets have the Colts number one pick,
their number one pick, and they have either
Dallas or Green Bay's number one pick,
whichever team is worse from the Dallas trade with Quinn in.
The amount of Colts Packers,
Cowboys football, I'm going to watch this year,
because as you know, probably, sounds like,
You definitely know.
Your answer on CJ, this is a massive quarterback class coming out.
So we have three number ones.
We can draft our quarterback of the future.
But I think the Colts could be really bad.
Maybe Gino's so great.
You just get a treasure chest of guys.
By the way, I love Gino.
Me too.
But like you're looking to build, you know, a seven, 10 year window here.
You got to go youth and you got to build and you got to get your guy.
And so the Jets will, I was proud of the Jets for not reaching or doing anything crazy in this quarterback season.
not that there was anything outside of Mendoza,
but I'm very, very bullish on the Young Corps in New York.
And I'm excited.
I also think quick for all the gamblers,
I think the Bears and the Patriots will be down this year.
I think if you look at their schedule last year
and you look at how many miracle wins they had on the bear side,
I think people are a little over bullish on those two teams.
Number one sign or aggression is going to be how well you do in one score games.
There's the most variance.
I agree.
And I think both those teams,
you know, the Patriot schedule last year was fucking up, moonwalk.
Yeah, it was.
I'd love, I'm excited to see.
Now, listen, adding Brown.
That's a big difference.
That's a big difference.
And that was the biggest thing going through, like,
they don't have the weapons and they don't have the offensive lines.
So what are they going to do when Seattle comes screaming?
I still think they don't have the offensive line.
I think people are going to scheme very similar to what the,
like people are going to go at Drake.
Their offensive line's a problem.
Yeah.
That being said,
Brown brings a,
that's a big time receiver,
and I'm worried about that.
I think in Chicago,
the NFL is the most insane league.
If people understood,
I'm okay, guys, thank you.
If people understood
how much film work is done in the off-season,
the amount of homework
that defensive coordinators
and their staff have done
around what Caleb did do well.
I mean, look, friends,
everyone who's listening
who wants a sports nerdum,
look what happened to see.
CJ Stroud the next year.
Look what happened to Burroughs.
Like people for the scheme.
Oh, yeah.
And so I think, I think, I think the Seahawks showed you what to do against the Patriots,
which is just go at him.
Kaepernick, RG3, there's so many guys who break out, the scheme gets out, and then they get
figured out.
There's a lot of them can break through that mold.
There's a lot of young quarterbacks who've had a lot of success in the last 15 years,
who've regressed a lot because the film work is, and now with AI.
I hope not, but Jane,
Daniels candidate for that as well.
Are you a huge commanders fan?
No, I love Jayden Daniel. He's out of college.
He's a cool kid.
And by the way, now I have to do this instead of the five because I got to respect the five.
I got to respect it.
You got to respect it.
You might get a letter.
I might get a letter.
So I love that about him actually, though, and I think that's a fun joke.
But I think he's a great kid.
I like him a lot.
I root for him.
I even though I'm a cowboy's fan.
I still like him.
No, no, that's some.
You can't do that.
You can't like that.
I can't like his character?
No.
That just threw me off.
The Cowboys own them anyways.
No, no, that really threw me off a little bit.
What just happened?
You can't do that.
Bro, you can't be a Cowboys fan.
You have to hate Jackson Dart.
You can't say anything nice about him.
You have to hate Daniels.
You can't say anything nice about him.
You have to hate the Eagles.
Bro, you can say other random things about people in the NFC, kind of.
You can give some love to the AFC.
But bro, in the NFC East, you have to sh-in them.
I hate the logo.
I don't hate the players.
Yeah, I hate the logo and the players while they wear the logo,
but not when they're not wearing the logo.
That's fair.
Like if I see them at dinner, I'm going to be nice.
Yeah.
At dinner, nice.
Especially when they go out.
Definitely not one of these guys who like roots for them to get fucking injured.
There's those guys too.
They get way too far.
That's bitch.
I might have done that before.
I get very.
For all this niceness and warmth that I talk about,
there is a weird version of me called SportsGarry.
That is so fucking weird.
Bro, I'm, I'm inappropriate.
A little psycho.
Yeah.
I just, it's a weird.
one place in my life that I don't control my emotions.
Like my hate for the Patriots is like inappropriate.
So is that a biased underpick?
No, that's where like it makes me understand
why people get like they get about politics or life.
In sports, I have envy.
In real life, I have no envy or jealousy.
I cheer for others.
I think the world is abundant.
I don't think anyone's success or happiness comes out of mind.
But in sports, I have extreme envy.
of Patriot fans.
And so I hate.
That's why we're going to bet the under on DRAPKing.
DBL.
Thank you, Gary.
It was an honor to have you on season two debut.
Couldn't have been a better guess.
Thank you, brother.
Wish you well.
Thank you.
