Starting point is 00:02:37 Where every day is New Year's Eve. It's time for Drink Champs. Drink up, motherfuckers. What it could be, hopefully it's what it should be. This is your boy N.O.R.E. And your special guest, DJ Mad Lex.
Starting point is 00:02:56 And this is Drink Champs Motherfucking Family Edition. Make some noise! First off, we gotta give a big shout out to EFN, who's out there sick. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I remember I had my first newborn. A lot of times I would get sick when the baby gets sick.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And it happens like that. So welcome to the new fatherhood, sir. Let's make some noise for that, sir. First off, you got them online? You ready? Did he text you back? Nah, he didn't text me back yet. All right, well, we got them online. Are you ready? Did he text you back? I am. All right. Well, we got award winners now.
Starting point is 00:03:28 You got anything, information about the award from who gave us the award? The NFTA, National Film TV Association. Who we beat? Who we beat? Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen. Saturday Night Live. Saturday Night Live.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Jimmy Kimmel. Jimmy Kimmel. Larry Kingmel Larry King Larry King The Breakfast Club The Breakfast Club The View The View
Starting point is 00:03:49 Yeah, motherfuckers Thank you I'm not going to lie When they sent me the invite I said, fuck you Because I didn't think We was going to win at all It's not because I got
Starting point is 00:03:59 Low self-esteem But maybe it is too But I was just like Nah, I don't think We was going to win But I'm actually Weird, nah, I don't think this is going to win. But I actually went, I did go get a fit-it-for-a-suit
Starting point is 00:04:08 and I actually never got picked it up, but I'm going to use that suit for New Year's Eve. But I want to thank everybody that's involved with Drink Champs, everybody from the beginning,
Starting point is 00:04:16 everybody who's associated, all the fans who listen, all the fans who support, people who came, saw and conquered with us and realized that, you know, rappers,
Starting point is 00:04:24 we want to control our that rappers, we want to control our own media, we want to control our own culture. So everybody who's down with that and voted for us, because one thing my wife said, she said, although those shows is bigger and maybe some of them might even have more followers than us, she didn't see nobody else engaging with people, telling people to actually vote. So we was telling people to vote, but we didn't think they was really going to vote and shit. So if that's the reason why the fans that y'all really went out to vote, I'm sincerely so thankful for you guys for giving me a part of self-esteem that I forgot I had.
Starting point is 00:05:00 So yeah, make some noise for that, God damn it. It's drinks for you. Do we get a wide opener? No. This drink's for you. And I'm going to... Do we get a wide opener? And I'm going to... Okay, who is that? Let's find out. It's very interesting.
Starting point is 00:05:12 In the trap. It's the vibe house. Look at the trap. Yeah, look through the big hole. Yeah, that's... Might be here for something else. Oh, shit. Who's that?
Starting point is 00:05:20 I would that. Oh, shit. I would that. Yeah. Oh, shit. I would that Bob's house got them we have Bob's house you already know So we would just congratulate, you know what I'm saying, ourselves for being a shit, you know what I mean, NFT, NFTL, National Film Television Association. And it was dope, man.
Starting point is 00:05:55 It was dope. So listen, and I really expect people to, you know what, before I get into that. What's up? Before I get into what I was before I get into that. What's up? Before I get into what I was going to get into. Do you remember what happened to our, what, did we get the trophy yet? Oh, yeah, let's talk about that. So, in June Drake Trans Fashion, guys, I just was like, you got to open up a wine? Okay, my brother.
Starting point is 00:06:20 So, June Drake Trans Fashion, Tito's kind of been avoiding me you know to you know like I mean so you know it's all brother brother Shasta Tito is our brother but you can tell like he was like every third text he did answer but I couldn't pinpoint it and then and I'm speaking to eat he goes also to you didn't tell you so I go no he goes so I go so I go where's his war at he goes oh Tito really didn't tell you so I go no he goes he broke the award first of all he came in the uber he got lit because he was trying not to get too lit or get lit but be responsible so Matt Licks he actually called an Uber. He was trying to be responsible. And he broke the fucking award in true drink chance fashion.
Starting point is 00:07:08 He got into the fucking Uber. He broke the award. God damn it. If that's not no drink chance shit, I don't know what is, man. We know. So big up to Nickname Tito, man. We know where your heart is. We know you love us and we love you.
Starting point is 00:07:22 And you was there on our behalf. And you actually wore a tuxedo Which was great You were really good Which was great Look at your shorts If I may Tito, two words
Starting point is 00:07:31 Gorilla glue Put it back together Nah, I'm not gonna lie I need We hitting the academy I'm buying my own award I don't mind Give me another one
Starting point is 00:07:41 God damn it So listen So listen That's right So And I want people to Give me another one, God damn it. So listen, so listen. That's right. So, and I want people to debate me on this if need be.
Starting point is 00:07:54 I, personally, stop breathing so hard, brother. I've got to not, like, you know, a little one
Starting point is 00:08:01 to my heart. Listen, I want people to debate me on that. Me, as being a person that was around when this gentleman was present, and me being around now when this new gentleman is present, I always looked at a DMX. I always looked at a Ja Rule as such.
Starting point is 00:08:20 But now after further analyzation of this game, I 100% equivocally believe that Meek Mill is the new Tupac. Hands down. And what I mean by that is political. What made Tupac when it came to females was Janet Jackson and Jada Pickett. If you look at Nicki Minaj's relevance or relevance back then, you put them together, it's pretty much the same. I was at a party the other night. It was Stars of Stars. It was DJ Khaled's pre-birthday party, birth to the birthday party.
Starting point is 00:09:03 And Meek walked in there full of stars. And the whole room turned around and needed to see Meek Mill. Meek Mill coming from Justice and the things that he became, he's the biggest star on the planet right now that hip-hop has. And it's Tupac status.
Starting point is 00:09:23 I'm opening it up for people. I'm opening it up for people. I'm opening it up for people. And I'm telling you, I'm 41 years old. I was not in the game when Pac made so much impact, but I was around and I'm telling you,
Starting point is 00:09:40 Meek Mill, if not the closest, he has the potential to be even bigger than Tupac at this point. Because remember, Pac only was like 24. 25. I think Meek Mill, and I've never said this, like I said, I looked at DMX and the
Starting point is 00:09:56 amount of records that DMX had, the bald head, the shirt off just like Pac used to have, the same amount of things, but and a bandana. But Meek don't take his shirt off, none like Pop used to have. The Ja Rule, same amount of thing. And a bandana. And a bandana. But Meek don't take his shirt off. None of that.
Starting point is 00:10:09 But he's just as relevant. And I'm just telling you, when you're at a party's party, no one comes up to you and asks you for a picture. Everybody does. When you're in a party where Colin is to your right, Fat Joe's to the left, Busta Rhymes is behind the DJ. And fucking Norrie's there, free liquor, and Jadakiss is there, and Fabulous is there. No one asked to take pictures, Swizz Beatz DJ, no one asked to.
Starting point is 00:10:35 When Meek Mill walked through that room, that whole shit shut down. It shut down so big that I seen when he walked in, I was the first nigga, let me get the flick, nigga. I was the first thing For my grand I'm gonna be late so you're saying quality or like music I say all around I'm saying He can actually be a bigger star. You don't think Jay still gets that one. I don't think Jay is in the same category I think we should be a mic if we could. Because that was just terrible.
Starting point is 00:11:05 I'm talking about all around. All around. Tupac was the ultimate person who had the hood and then had people that was political parties listening to him. They were personal. They were personal. But now he's doing something that Pac couldn't do. He's actually speaking to the system.
Starting point is 00:11:21 All right, so I saw a post that you put out. Uh-huh. All right. About his album? Meek's album? Well, it was you, Jada, and Meek. In that same clip, you I saw a post that you put out. Uh-huh. All right. About his album? Meek's album? Well, it was you, Jada, and Meek. In that same clip, you were talking about Come Here, Nigga. Right.
Starting point is 00:11:30 And what you basically said, I'm paraphrasing, but like, yo, you making our generation proud. Yes, yes. And you know, here's what I feel about Meek before I get into the depth of the answer. All right. Because of what he's gone through on a life level, it's affected his music today. So when you hear the earlier music
Starting point is 00:11:50 and then you come back, like if you listen to his early shit and skip the middle and then go to championships, you hear a completely different man. You hear a grown man. You hear somebody who's been through some shit.
Starting point is 00:12:00 And the fact that when he was in Bing, like Robert Kraft came to see him? And he has so many people of stature clamoring about the justice system and where we're at right now with Trump in office and whatnot. That was major. But I got to say, on an emotional level, I see you, Meek Mill, but I raise you triple X. Yeah, but we can't because triple X not even here so it's
Starting point is 00:12:27 very explain let me explain all right the the and this is why I said the emotional level okay so for that generation of kids who are now growing up right on triple X right the fact of at his passing the the outpouring of what you saw people taking bus rides from North Dakota, Wyoming and all that kind of shit. You know what I'm saying from you is that is a part of Pac. You're talking about the beginning part, you're talking about the middle part of Pac and you're talking about the ending part of Pac. I'm talking about Meek Mighty Body Pac's whole spirit. But this is what I'm saying on an emotional level. Okay. I'm strictly talking so he's got the music that engaged that generation coming up under him.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Because remember, everybody who, like you said, pop at 26 was gone. Right. The people, it wasn't 30 and 40-year-old niggas who was like feeling that type of way about him. Right. It was the teenagers. It was niggas around 20, 21. Right. So I'm saying for Triple X, it was those 15-year-olds, those 16-year-olds.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Right. So Triple X didn't get the chance to get there he was on his way and what I'm saying from the outpouring like if you go back and watch the tapes
Starting point is 00:13:31 of people outside that Vegas hotel you know waiting to find out how people are surviving now right and you watch the tapes
Starting point is 00:13:41 of all the kids who were crying and like I said, listen, the outpouring of what happened. I sent that when I saw that too.
Starting point is 00:13:49 That was Pac like to me. So I'm not, he didn't get the chance to fulfill the entire thing but he had that emotionally and like, the thing I think
Starting point is 00:13:57 Pac had more so probably than any other artist was the ability to connect emotionally with his audience. Right. And I'm saying I think Triple X had that. And I'm going to tell you I'm going to tell you, I'm going to cut you off.
Starting point is 00:14:09 I'm going to tell you what fucked Meek Mill up at one point when all he was talking about was his role. He disconnected from his audience so much because everyone couldn't relate to that. Everyone couldn't relate to having him rolling on Monday and him rolling on Wednesday. But you know what everyone could relate to?
Starting point is 00:14:25 Being treated by that jail system like a piece of shit. And that's not black, white, Latino. That's poor. That's poor. That's poor. I just looked at this.
Starting point is 00:14:36 This is two white girls in the police who were just jumping on. And that's why he became a hood hero. I remember speaking to Leo Coles and he said, you's why he became a hood hero i remember speaking to leo cones and he said you know why eminem might always sell more than um some of our you know people from hip-hop
Starting point is 00:14:52 i said why leo he said because there's always been more poor white people than there could ever be black people poor anybody else and this was at that time because there's way more charter parks like i see you know what i'm saying so um but getting back to mick's point mick's point is the point of mick is uh he's hanging out with robert craft he got jay-z and beyonce shot in the mouth he dated the the beautiful you know rap star chick and now he's coming home and him you know preaching prison reform like like if if pox murder was a conspiracy sorry to like put this on bleep but he's headed towards that way because he can actually make change Paco's talking about change I don't think he would have been able to make
Starting point is 00:15:39 change because at least meet me is actually saying you know what I score still with Drake that made him bigger to his quarrel with Drake. But not only did he squash it with Drake, he was up in Funkmaster Flex. He was actually flexing his squash it with Drake. Which was like, oh, okay, he's serious. He's serious about his grown man shit. But now, Pete, this, right? So, pop dies in 96.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Yep. On a political level, what passes in 94? The crime bill brought in by the Clinton. Right? So there was really nothing that existed on a political level of incarceration
Starting point is 00:16:11 at that time like that. Where it's like, boom, we catch you with an ounce, life. Right. It really hadn't had the chance to take hold like that.
Starting point is 00:16:18 So now all these years after almost 30 years where Meek is part of being in the system and all these people are being in the system, people are finally willing to listen. And I think that's a big part of it, too, is the fact that nobody was willing to listen
Starting point is 00:16:30 when Pop was saying it. Because they didn't understand it. But now, because, listen, even Jared Kushner, the fucking son-in-law of the president, whose father got caught up in the system, okay, on the federal level, this is why it's a big thing for him, because he understood, look, I'm a rich white man. My father's a rich white man. He had to go to jail. This is
Starting point is 00:16:51 fucked up. Shit has to change. That's what really caused the change in the White House like that because he got Trump's ear. That's his right hand man. Alright, well cool. Let's take a look at this. Trump is like, yeah, okay, cool. yeah okay cool Kim K come through yeah this shit's fucked up Kanye with your crazy ass sucking all this wild shit in my office all right cool yeah maybe we
Starting point is 00:17:12 need to take a look at it so the the platform is set up now for somebody to listen which Pac didn't have that advantage everything that Pac was saying was like many things that he talked about was so far advanced. Like society and the world wasn't ready to accept it. Right. But I do believe had Pac been here now, we would have seen a lot of similarities between himself and Meek. And I think actually Pac would have still been much more prolific given the same platform. But I'm glad that Meek has taken his experience and actually decided to do so much good with it.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Yeah. Yeah, I ain't gonna front I want to make a round of applause for me fantastic album fantastic album fantastic
Starting point is 00:17:52 came back and dropped a great album yeah man a lot of people don't come back a lot of people don't come back
Starting point is 00:17:57 from a diss record like Back to Back he went on Flex he actually rhymed on Back to Back he's getting the joke I love the fact that Drake
Starting point is 00:18:04 posted the meme if I hurt the fact that Drake posted the meme, if I hurt you. I love the fact that they can actually joke about it. It lets you know that you're over it. Because most people who in the hood, unfortunately, you get into beef and y'all don't ever speak about it or talk or joke about it.
Starting point is 00:18:22 It's pretty much because you're not over it. You know what I'm saying most of the time when you're over it you're gonna be like man you remember that time man you know what I mean like alright cool cool cool
Starting point is 00:18:29 but alright moving on so big up to Beakmail everyone I think he's the new Tupac man you know that first minute of that send me that by yourself Rasta
Starting point is 00:18:37 cause I wanna voice that I want everybody to diss me and be like what the fuck is your problem Nori yeah I sold 240,000 units for the first week.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Yeah, I ain't gonna front. I ain't basing it on units sell. I'm basing it on impact only. Is that real, bro? I mean, not to me. To me, units and shit ain't real no more. It definitely made an impact, though. Because I've seen people
Starting point is 00:18:59 that do phenomenal numbers and I still never heard not one song. Right, right. You know what I'm saying? Could the numbers be juked or could it be me not catching on? So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:10 In this era and time, the actual unit sales aren't as important as quote-unquote impressions. Yeah. The shit that you see on IG. I don't say thank you. Spotify spins.
Starting point is 00:19:19 These are the things that actually kind of quantify it because if you got a Spotify account and you're listening to the latest from me, it's categorized every time you listen to that track. So if you come back, that fucking intro shit was fire. You listen to this shit five times, it's registered.
Starting point is 00:19:34 I remember back in the days people would make lines when CDs were coming out. I miss those days. That's a whole other show. Man, that's a whole other show. I remember the last album I bought was probably the Drake album. Nothing was the same in 2013. I went in a Walmart, and that was the last CD I ever bought. And then after that, I feel like streaming just took over 100%.
Starting point is 00:19:55 I don't think people buy CDs anymore. Your fucking MacBook don't have a CD. Your car don't really even come with a CD. I like to have collected CDs. You can't even go to Best Buy no more to buy shit. Your fucking MacBook don't have a CD drive on one, man. Your car don't really even come with a CD drive. That's wild, man. I like to have collected CDs, man. You gotta order them. You can't even go to Best Buy no more to buy shit. Vinyl is selling more now in 2018 going into 2019. Vinyl's coming back because of the nostalgia.
Starting point is 00:20:15 That's because millennials. Millennials want to bring it back, though. It is, but I mean, it's the nostalgia of it. It's like, when you want to hold a piece of it at a certain time, like, all right, case in point. You want to know where the producer, who produced it. Yeah, but he's the case in point, right? So when I got the LA LA record, right?
Starting point is 00:20:30 And I wanted a few niggas in my city to have that shit. So I put the needle on it and it got a little scratch. Like, wherever that scratch was, there's no other LA LA record in the world that has a scratch. And that particular one. That shit is unique to me. You can have one, you can have one, you can have one. in the world that has a scratch. Right. And that particular... Okay. That shit is unique to me. That's dope.
Starting point is 00:20:46 You can have one, you can have one, you can have one, but when that shit hits pop on mine, It's not scratch. It ain't gonna hit pop on yours. And I always hold out
Starting point is 00:20:55 dig because I've heard it so many times. And I know it's coming like the pop. You took it on Craystone? Yeah, dog. Damn. I gotta say,
Starting point is 00:21:01 that's a whole other shit. I need another drink, man. Come on, let's go, let's go. You ain't opening no wine for me, Mr. Lee. Bow for it. Bow for it, man. So we moving on. This is one for the making.
Starting point is 00:21:18 I know everybody's going to like this. Especially if you got babies. A lot of niggas don't got babies over here especially if you fucking shout out to my baby the king of R&B Bobby Brown? yo I got Bobby Brown
Starting point is 00:21:37 Kodak Black Kodak J Blue Relax Kodak J Blue Relax We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will.
Starting point is 00:21:45 We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will.
Starting point is 00:21:46 We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will.
Starting point is 00:21:46 We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will.
Starting point is 00:21:47 We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will. We will.
Starting point is 00:21:48 We will. can't hear us we're trying to call Tory Lanez I think I'm gonna call Kedar too Kedar Massenburg I seen him on Sunday yeah he's out here okay he's hot you know when they hot they don't answer the phone that's the kind of way what makes the phone happen on Sunday late night so what happened can you you explain that? Okay, so... Cool, go ahead. NL already talked about early Sunday when he was at the Fantastic Dinner and whatnot. Now everybody had transferred over because it's Mark Basile, aka Freak Nick 2018, to live. We fuck everything up. This was an art thing. Art people fuck everything up. I don't talk about hip hop. I ain't talking grace. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:22:46 So let me tell you right now. Liv has not looked like this from the parking lot or the lobby for five years. It was ridiculous. I was there. And I went with
Starting point is 00:22:57 just me and my wife too. Nobody else. Like I don't know what's beyond lit but it was that outside. Right. So apparently around the end of the
Starting point is 00:23:07 night thankfully niggas ain't fucking up dumb early but towards the end of the night a fight breaks out on the inside i don't know exactly who's involved or whatnot but of course naturally security police you know get cold it would take a long time to stop a fight and live outside now so it's coming outside outside. And I hear different reports, but one of the reports is that Tory Lanez was outside. Tory,
Starting point is 00:23:29 if I'm getting it wrong, pardon me, but he was outside and the fight started coming towards your car. Your security was like, hold up, y'all ain't fucking up the whip.
Starting point is 00:23:39 A melee ensues or whatnot, you know, cops, black people, it's too many niggas. They fucking put their hands and handcuffs on whoever's closest.
Starting point is 00:23:48 So they decided to lay Tory Lanez down on the concrete. To the police. Yeah. Put his hands behind his back, arrest him. Now, there's another report that says Tory Lanez's security
Starting point is 00:23:59 was the aggressor. Now, I don't know which story is real, which one's not. But these are the two things that were kind of blown out there. But in any case, aggressive now I don't know what story is real which wasn't not but on these are the two things that were kind of out there in any case sorry we hope you all right we hope you're right in the time of Donald Trump is president it's not the time to be fucking up as a foreigner on US soil because they mean I let you ask back damn I look at it like there's a lot of money for you over here trust
Starting point is 00:24:21 me you want to do a lot of records, you're joining with Ozuna. Ozuna, right? Yeah. Ozuna. My bad. No problem. I appreciate that. I'm Trinidadian
Starting point is 00:24:33 Venezuelan. I got this much Venezuela. So, Tori, come back soon. No, but he's good. He was hosting
Starting point is 00:24:41 a party last night. Oh, fantastic. They all looked happy, they were having fun. Fantastic. Yeah. Yo, Haz, hold up one second, man. They all looked happy. They were having fun. Really? Fantastic. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Yo, Haz, hold up one second, man. I know you've thought of this, and I've thought of it for years. I've always wanted to get into the stock market. I've always wanted to trade stocks and buy stocks. I just think that a lot of us always want to, but it just seemed like something so distant or something that only the wealthy did or something that just seemed overly complicated to get involved in or you needed to have some kind of disposable income that you wouldn't worry about um that you could just dabble in it and hopefully you know the dream is you you buy something really low and you know
Starting point is 00:25:19 it skyrockets but it just it just didn't seem like something like the regular joe schmo could get involved in. But things are changing. Starting point is 00:34:55 Can I share something with you real quick? It was something that just popped in my head here recently. So obviously every generation does things differently. Across the board. I don't care whether you're riding bicycles or music or whatever. Right. When you hear the music generation of today and what they talk about is taking drugs. And I'm thinking about the generation beforehand was more so talking about selling drugs. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:20 So I'm like, wait a minute. Crackers whack. So the previous generation is either selling to yeah parents yes yes it's very good niggas is my ball it's all right oh I mean clear that was a yeah we sold to their parents and that's why these niggas is crack babies this is no doubt there just fucked up it's a fucked about the. It's a fucked up observation. So I'm wondering now, the next generation after that. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:35:48 I don't know. Yeah, they're going to be fucked up. They're going to be flakka babies. But hold on, before we, because what we were talking about, there was Benzino that jammed the stuff to there. Yeah. And Ty Dolla $ign. And Big Up Ty Dolla $ign.
Starting point is 00:35:56 But King of R&B, that's what, Benzino called in and that's the reason why we didn't get, that's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home.
Starting point is 00:36:04 That's why I'm at home. That's why I'm at home. That's why I&B, that's what Zeno called in, and that's the reason why we didn't get, that's why I have my own point today. I have quite an arrow, so it goes back to it. You're like a fucking pro-gamer. I'm trying to today. I'm trying to today. The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration in the United States. Recipients have done the improbable, showing immense bravery and sacrifice in the name of something much bigger than themselves.
Starting point is 00:36:26 This medal is for the men who went down that day. It's for the families of those who didn't make it. I'm J.R. Martinez. I'm a U.S. Army veteran myself. And I'm honored to tell you the stories of these heroes on the new season of Medal of Honor, Stories of Courage from Pushkin Industries and iHeart Podcast. Starting point is 00:37:08 and what their stories tell us about the nature of courage and sacrifice. Listen to Medal of Honor on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A lot of times the big economic forces we hear about on the news show up in our lives in small ways. Three or four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding. But the price has gone up, so now I only buy one. The demand curve in action. And that's just one of the things we'll be covering on Everybody's Business from Bloomberg Businessweek.

Starting point is 00:38:39 Across the country, cops called this taser the revolution. But not everyone was convinced it was that simple. Cops believed everything that Taser told them. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th, where we'll delve into stories of the West
Starting point is 00:40:15 and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. Listen to The American West with Dan Flores on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Very proud of you. King of Army. Very proud of you. King of Army. Starting point is 00:41:01 That is the king of R&B. Okay. So you only got one. You get one up to three. Man. I'm going to go with Kels. One, two, eight. Kels.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Bobby Brown. One. Kels. And now, new generation, Tory Lanez. Wow. I'm going to pass him a puff puff in a minute. Okay. Yo, I would say definitely I love R. Kelly.

I'm gonna have to say like Teddy Pendergrass okay okay that was hard it the the car the I am far back yeah I'll green R Kelly I was not prepared for this. Come on, man. It's not that hard. It's not all right or wrong. It is hard. It's a lot of hard.
Starting point is 00:43:28 All right, so let's see. Let's see for y'all. I'm the generations of R&B. So R. Kelly is an obvious choice, right? But R. Kelly suffered from what I call baby face syndrome. What that mean? All right, so yeah, I'll explain. He had to put his face in baby faces?
Starting point is 00:43:46 I don't know. You had to put his face in baby faces? I don't know. You like to put his face in baby faces? I don't know. I'll kill you. I never do a drip challenge anyway, so let's just go. It's not like it's a bill. Not like I'm actually letting you know. Allow me to explain.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Allow me to pontificate. Go ahead, go ahead. I mean, you need some proper words like, no idea, early me. Allow me to pontificate. Yes, let's go. So, baby face reached a certain point in his career. Babyface. Right?
Starting point is 00:44:07 Where he was just like, you know what? I can do anything. I can write records and make the hook shoop, shoop, shoop,
Starting point is 00:44:16 shoopy-doop for Wicky Houston. And that shit is going to fucking blow. Right. Right? So, once the aura got to the point
Starting point is 00:44:24 of making records in the closet like the nigga lost me man like oh coming out of the closet He went too far with it. He went too far with it. He went chapter 14. He went too far with it. Chapter 1400. He went for the first four. I did went to 1400. I was like, I'm good too. Right. With Mr. Biggs too.
Starting point is 00:44:50 I said, okay, God damn it. You're going too far. That's what I said. He got in baby phase zone where it was like, the nigga was like, yo, I could do anything. I can make records about midgets in the closet, being under the sink in the closet. I can make records about being in shoes in the Being under the sink In the closet I can make records About being in shoes In the closet
Starting point is 00:45:07 The nigga was just like Yo whatever And they gonna accept it And I have a problem When they try to feed me shit And tell me it's chocolate Right So he
Starting point is 00:45:13 For me personally Only me I had to take him down A couple of notches Right So I'm thinking On the producer level
Starting point is 00:45:22 I have to give Teddy Riley some credit Yeah when he asked We just said R&B though No but he did the production On a live podcast Yeah he's talking about singing But I don't want a producer
Starting point is 00:45:31 I want a K-Dawg He's talking about singing Right There's no R. Kelly Without Aaron Hall Alright so now If you want to go there Please thank you very much
Starting point is 00:45:37 I appreciate the alley-oop Right So at the time That R. Kelly released 12 play Aaron Hall released Another album Which was fire Yeah And it got overshadowed Oh complete Right Complete that R. Kelly released 12 play. Aaron Hall released another album, which was fire.
Starting point is 00:45:47 And it got overshadowed. Oh, completely. Completely. Yes. It was like quantitative quality. Aaron Hall shit, I recommend anybody go back and take a look,
Starting point is 00:45:56 do the Google search. It's a beast. It's a beast. Aaron Hall's album was absolutely phenomenal. R. Kelly completely killed his career. I actually recently listened to the LL episode of Drink Champs and you talked about how LL killed cannabis career. R. Kelly committed homicide on Aaron Holton.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Damn! He was so ahead, he didn't even... Homicide! It was a fake boy. And I mean listen, had it been a year difference in the releases, the whole shit could have been completely different. I don't care who came first or who last. Shout out to Marley Ma. Marley Ma. Yeah. It would have been different.
Starting point is 00:46:31 But the fact that them two niggas came out at the same time, it was a problem. I'm going to give you my three. You said Marvin Gaye, right? I said Marvin Gaye. That's the king to me. I told you you heard that. That's the king to me. Miss Williams don't play that. You said Marvin Gaye, right? That's the king to me. That's the king to me. Miss Williams will play that. You said Lionel.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Can I say one thing real quick? What was your other thing? Marvin Gaye released an album just to pay off his ex-wife. If that don't make you the king, I don't know what does. Okay, that's all I'm saying. I get you. Well, I got Michael Jackson, that is. Michael was the king of pop.
Starting point is 00:47:04 You can't lose him. No, white people called him the king of pop. Yeah, that's why I left him out. No, white people called him the king of pop. He called himself that. Yeah, that was rhythm and blues, nigga, at first. Prince. That dude. Thriller. Me too.
Starting point is 00:47:18 And then I'm going to go, this is for all generations, and then I'm going go this is for all generations then I'm gonna go I'll be sure I respect your list but I don't I'll be sure because I remember I remember I'll be sure yeah yeah and for this generation you know who I got are y'all ready And for this generation, you know who I got? Starting point is 00:48:07 There's a couple of people Who came out After they said the R&B shit And I was looking On their Instagram Like who the fuck Is this guy I know who
Starting point is 00:48:15 Lil Duval is He makes me smile He makes me laugh He's funny Smokes weed I think right now And he has A number one record
Starting point is 00:48:24 Probably still right He has a number one record, and he has a number one record. Probably still, right? He has a number one record, for sure. I still have a number one record. How do we not put Lil Duval in this conversation? Like, how is it? Because the nigga got one record. That's very true.
Starting point is 00:48:34 He could be at one of them one, though. He's dropping his new single tonight, though. I heard this. Nigga, listen. If he's in a fucking radiant family, like, he's the 32nd distant cousin. That's very true. To the king. That's very true. But I'm riding with you, nigga.
Starting point is 00:48:49 Sometimes you just gotta ride. You don't gotta know why you're riding. You just gotta ride. Little do all, I'm riding, my dude. That record makes me happy, man. That's a good one, though. If you're breathing. And Kevin Hart, I'm about to ask you
Starting point is 00:49:01 to bow out of this conversation respectfully. He tried to get on with it. No. He was serious. He was serious. I don't to ask you to bow out of this conversation respectfully. He tried to get on there and said no. He was serious. He was serious. I don't know if you've seen him. He was on a treadmill. He was serious, but he was trying to act like he was playing. Kevin Hart, we're going to have to exclude you out of this.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Out of this. Who else butted in? Mark Kelly butted in. Wood Jeremiah. They took a picture and put the crown shit on they thing. Pleasure P got involved. Pleasure P didn't get involved. Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Let's call Pleasure P right now. Let's see if Pleasure P picked up. That's not what I want to podcast. That's not what I want to podcast. Yeah, and we got Pleasure P episode that's dropping

Starting point is 00:50:02 Your transition And how much you've grown Like You bring this out of people. Right. Thank you. So I don't think
Starting point is 00:50:08 that anybody could have sat down and gotten that same thing out of him. No. I'll be honest. Not because I'm not on my own dick, because I am.
Starting point is 00:50:16 But no, he wanted to vent. Like, as a person who's, this is my 100-something episode, like, I know when a person, I got to beat it out of them. I know when a person, I got to beat it out of them. I know when I pause.
Starting point is 00:50:29 I got to drink it out of them. I know when I got to talk it out of them. He was 100%. He wanted to be real. He just wanted to. He was ready. He was ready to open up. He just wanted, you can tell this was something that was burning on him. And I'm talking about, I know it because I had to do that in therapy.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Like, I had to, like, you know, just sit down and now drink chances my therapy, but sometimes When you when you when shit like that fucks you in your head you just need to talk to somebody That's the reason why therapy works is because sometimes so into a total stranger is the fucking We know each other I'm still a stranger like I don't go shopping in the public's together You know I'm saying like stranger Like I don't Go shopping in the public Together You know what I'm saying Like we don't eat chicken palms You know what I'm saying Like so
Starting point is 00:51:08 Still I'm a person you know But I'm a stranger And it'd be easier To get through You wanna why Because either You're not being judged Or you don't give a fuck
Starting point is 00:51:16 If you're being judged Because you don't know This nigga like that anyway Right No but he knows the platform And that's why I felt like he just Wanted to vent
Starting point is 00:51:22 And that's why I love Drink Cancer Just by the way Is Is's why I felt like he just wanted to vent and that's why I love Dream Chances just by the way is is sometimes when I sit down with an artist if they're lying
Starting point is 00:51:31 I'm not gonna lie I let them lie to me I'll be like alright cool you know what I'm saying but I give them that look like alright cool
Starting point is 00:51:39 I got you on this one but the next one come on tell the truth you know what I'm saying but but most of the time I'm just sitting down with them, and it's me conversing with them and them conversing back.
Starting point is 00:51:53 And that's just what a conversation is. It's not an interview. It's a conversation. But like I said, let me get back to Pleasure P, because I don't want to get off topic. Pleasure P was one of the most genuine, I don't know if that's a word, the most genuine that ever sat down.
Starting point is 00:52:09 And I kid you not, I wanted to look at his soul because sometimes a person gets too drunk and they just, you know, and they can actually blame it on the alcohol. Hey, yo. That's Pleasant P. Pleasant P, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:52:24 It's N.R.E. and the Drink Champs. Make some noise. Yo, Pleasant Pete, what's going on? It's N.R.E. and the Drink Champs. Make some noise! Yo, Pleasant Pete, you know we had to call you, man. What's up with this King of R&B shit? How do you feel? Man, to be honest, man, it ain't no King of R&B. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:52:41 If you really ask me, everybody got fans, man. And, you know, like I said, what I said the other day you really ask me, everybody got fans, man. And, you know, like I said, what I said the other day, just to say, like, it's a competitive sport, just like rapping. Like, everybody's supposed to feel like they're the best.
Starting point is 00:52:52 You know what I'm saying? Yes, sir. So, yeah, that's pretty much my take on it. And I was like, if he's still like that, then, you know what?
Starting point is 00:53:01 He got every right to feel like that. You know what I'm saying? Can't nobody tell me I'm not a king. You know what I'm saying? Exactly. king exactly exactly exactly man. Well, we appreciate that We want to take a time out to get your input Touch that shit, man! Come on! Woo! Woo! What was that? Hey, Lord, that's it. Lord, that's how I feel about it. I feel like, man, listen, everybody,
Starting point is 00:53:28 let's just drop some music in. You know, putting out more music, everybody dropping music, letting the people decide. I think that's the best it's going to get for R&B. You know what I'm saying? Well, hell yeah. Well, Pleasant P, we're letting you know our episode drops tonight on Revolt TV.
Starting point is 00:53:42 That's this Thursday. Everybody go out there and watch it And then we got the audio dropping on Friday And we got the YouTube dropping on Monday President P I was just telling people Before he was on the phone You was one of our most genuine interviews ever I respect you for being
Starting point is 00:53:56 100 million percent with us brother I appreciate that Thanks for having me man And sharing your platform boy Absolutely and when we get up out of here, I'm going to hit you up. I'm going to hit you up direct so you can have my number. We can kick it. All right, my brother. All right, my brother. Good speaking to you. Hold on. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:54:13 Let's make some noise for Pleasure Pre. Yeah! Yo, I ain't going to lie. That's some good shit. I had no idea how many, yo, big up to Lowell, by the way. Lowell Herbs, you know, that's my people's, sent me this because of the award. But big them up, so big up to Lowell and Lowell Farms. But I didn't know how many people were in R&B. And I didn't know, I don't know how to pronounce his name,
Starting point is 00:54:45 but I don't want to pronounce it wrong. Jaquese. Jaquese. Because, you know, like, queef. I hate when people say Jaquese. Like, that's not right. I knew that wasn't right. I knew, like, yeah, they was calling him Jaquese.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I said, I know what queef is, man. That ain't it. So Jaquese. Jaquese. Big him up. Oh, big up to Birdman, by the way. Yeah. Who I spoke to Birdman
Starting point is 00:55:07 Alden Blue Big up to George Dukes By the way Let's make some noise To George Dukes George Dukes George Dukes One of the legends
Starting point is 00:55:17 Pioneers I was about to say In Miami But legendary pioneer Period in this game He actually has Sundays Like cracking
Starting point is 00:55:24 On opium. He was the one. Yeah, he was the one. Every Sunday's an opium. Yeah, we remember he's a legend. He's a legend. So he reached out and said, you know, Birdman, me and Bird got on the phone, and we were supposed to get together.
Starting point is 00:55:37 It was Art Basel a week. So to Drink Chance fans, if you're listening to this and you, listen, we want Birdman on here. We want him to be the first people to have an in-depth conversation because other people have conversations with Birdman. We don't think it's in-depth. We're going to sit there. We're going to get high with him.
Starting point is 00:55:56 We're going to drink some GT vodka if that's what he's still got. We're going to do whatever we want because we want to hear from Birdman because one thing for sure, too, the situation is fixed. And we have never seen this in hip-hop, where a person is blaming a person for doing something, and it actually gets worked out. You even see Rick Ross, where Rick Ross was very adamant about, you know,
Starting point is 00:56:16 addressing Birdman in certain ways for certain things. He made a song. And then him, he even made a song, he even made a disc record. But when that got right, and they shook each other's hands, and supposedly, you know, the business was handled, even Rick a song, he made a disc record. But when that got right and they shook each other's hands and supposedly, you know, the business was handled, even Rick Ross tweeted, honorable.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Like, so, oh, we want to hear from Birdman. You know what I'm saying? We want to hear from Birdman. And obviously, Jacquees, I said it correct? Yes. Jacquees has actually signed to Birdman, right? He signed to Cash Money. So, Birdman is out there, you know, trying to do his so so Berman is out there you know trying
Starting point is 00:56:47 to do his thing he got the king let me just tell you something you know why jock waist was the king of R&B. It's because when 6ix9ine said he's the king of New York, no one really challenged him. Even though everybody's no call out, this might be hoax.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Let me relax. Let me answer this on the side. Hello? Who this? Oh, King Dog, what's going on? Shit, shit. You want to talk on the drink chance you're the drinks I don't want to see your opinion on the R&B shit we just we just ask you if you down the school if not no no worry I'll call you soon I'm done if you don't want to okay I know file yeah I do want to know your opinion hold
Starting point is 00:57:45 on what's your opinion though yes who you did whichever ever you want how about this I'll give you three different errors I'll be the star we can start Back then okay Okay This generation. Is there a king of R&B in this generation? Let me see. I don't know if there's a king of R&B in this generation because they all do different things, right? It depends. If we talk about fully talented, right? You have to write. You have to write. I look at it different ways.
Starting point is 00:58:37 I look at writing, performing, producing. And it's kind of hard because when you look at somebody like R Kelly outside of his propensity say he has he wrote for him I believe I can fly so talented and he wrote all his songs himself right basically from a lyrical standpoint like the one that the one that was underrated to be honest with you is really Joe, right? But he was But I would say, now, this generation right now, it's kind of hard. Because, shit, the king R&B of this generation is fucking Drake. Because the motherfuckers see him.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Oh, wow. Whoa. We ain't seen that one. You're right. You got a crazy point. Some rap-sake shit. You know what I'm saying? Wow.
Starting point is 00:59:44 Yo, good. Look, yo, you make some noise for the dog Hello, Madley's got what they say a condom. This is DJ Madness I gotta say this though. I'm not being biased if it wasn't for a card. There would be no drink Wow How do you say that? Ten years and what a car has, they try to classify Akon as a rapper because his lyrical content, even though he's singing, is gangster. The content that he sings. And melodically, he has done.
Starting point is 01:00:15 And from a global perspective and a writer, Akon produced from Lady Gaga to Michael Jackson. Who once got that on their resume and still got gangster lyrics. Still say what you want to say on some real street shit. You know what I'm saying? Start off with
Starting point is 01:00:31 I'm locked up being fucking locked up and all that shit from in jail and come back out and does what he does. Real shit. Real shit.
Starting point is 01:00:39 Hold on, Mad Links wanted to say something to you. Hold on one second. Hey, Kadar, it's DJ Mad Links and I just want to say, you know what I would have loved to see?
Starting point is 01:00:48 Chico DeBarge be in that conversation because that album was a classic. No, I did that record. I took him from... I know, nigga. I know. Chico can be in that conversation. Let me tell you why.
Starting point is 01:00:59 Okay. Because the one... Chico is very talented, but if you're going to put him in that conversation, you have to give it to El DeBar. El DeBar, yeah, yeah. Because he had the longer career, the longevity. Not just from a longer perspective, but El taught Chico.
Starting point is 01:01:14 That's right, okay. He taught Chico, because I remember, even while we was doing Long Time No See, El was in the studio with him, helping him also. A lot of it, you know what i mean but when you really really think about it when you really think about it and i don't mean to be braggadocious the baddest motherfucker really out there is just that his his his demons get to him is d'angelo oh we need to say d'angelo i was gonna say say Bobby Brown when you said Demons Nah I'm not going to say Bobby Brown Bobby Brown He definitely was the king of R&B In his own era by taking the name But at the end of the day
Starting point is 01:01:52 I'm looking at total Package Bobby Brown did not write Bobby Brown didn't do those records You understand what I mean Bobby Brown doesn't play an instrument When you think of R. Kelly, he plays an instrument. You think of all these guys that play instruments, produce and write for other people also.
Starting point is 01:02:11 So King of R&B just can't be a title that what you're singing with Babyface or whomever giving you a song. Right? The King of R&B has to be someone that can pull a circle. Write, perform, play, produce. So that's how I look at it. I don't know whether that's too many categories to put in it, but I don't look at it because if you just have a great voice,
Starting point is 01:02:36 and someone wants to come along and give you a song, does that make you a king of R&B or does that make the producer a king of R&B? Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:51 Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. So, you know, you're asking the wrong cat if you're asking me to be real. Because when I look at an artist, you got to perform, you got to write, you got to produce. Because at the end of the day, that becomes a trial and error before you get that right hit. Right? When you talk about the queens and whatever they do, Erica writes most of her stuff. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:03:23 A lot of these people, though, that really writes. You know, even though Missy, she writes. So I look at that as the core, right? A true, true star and a true artist where you can perform, write, sing, produce, right? Because then there's no stopping you. You're not waiting around for someone to give you a hit. Well, that's real, man. Kadar Mastinburg, make some noise!
Starting point is 01:03:48 Yo, thank you so much, my brother. I'm going to hit you up later as soon as I'm finished. I'm going to hit you up as soon as I'm finished. I'll hit you up as soon as I'm finished. All right. Thank you, my brother. Appreciate you. Appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:03:55 One love. I have an honorable mention. Hold that. Now, you know I'm kind of a different dude. Okay. All right. Hold on. Okay, I'm saying it because I'm using the bathroom.
Starting point is 01:04:02 We're going to keep talking. You don't break while I'm using the bathroom. Take a piss break. I'm going to take one later. Okay, I want to hear what you're saying. Maxwell. That's what I said. I got to squash my beef with Maxwell. Make sure when I come back, I squash my beef with Maxwell.
Starting point is 01:04:15 I got beef with Maxwell. He had beef with me. He had a hit out on me. Yeah. What? All right. All right. So let me pontificate while the piss break is taking place.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Listen, let me tell you right now. Let me tell you right now. If you're listening out here in Dream Champs' world, I don't care how ugly you are, how fat you are, how much you are dealing with a woman who ain't gave you no pussy in 10 years. You put on that first Maxwell album, the first half is a setup. It's like she's cool being there. Because there's not no fucking
Starting point is 01:04:45 really way right no i see you i ain't get there yet i ain't get there yet the second half of the album automatically switches up and it's coming off and it's almost like the shit is talking to google home and alex and shit and the lights and everything's changing the room the whole vibe changing you had to do shit that she was just playing out like you was this is some group shit He was like, yeah, baby. Hey, we need some wine No shot my people over at the AME and before you know that second half goes in and shit Changes like like Maxwell is automatic Spanish fly. Oh Smash it on a Maxwell concert?
Starting point is 01:05:25 What? So look, I'm going to cut you off. Look, I got to get my Maxwell. I don't know if I ever told. So it was a freestyle. And I said, you niggas, like the Maxwell video. You know, sometimes you say things And you don't You don't know
Starting point is 01:05:46 That it affects Other people So I heard Maxwell actually Came with the Violator records With bats Was like
Starting point is 01:05:53 Tell Nori Let's go And then And then He went and Violated And quickly Told him
Starting point is 01:05:59 Nori's not Coming with bats He's gonna come With guns He's gonna stop Now I don't know If he really cared About his playing
Starting point is 01:06:04 But they did tell him you know like you don't want browser story but the fact that he did like I so much respect you because like you and I see no I was in the award show somewhere and Maxwell was across from you and I wasn't go up and say I'm sorry sure, baby. Because he is Puerto Rican in Jamaica. Like, if Maxwell snuffed Nori, I'm fucked up in the game. No one would just look at him. Like, where? Like, are you sure? But, Maxwell, wherever you're at, listen, I do remember the line.
Starting point is 01:06:35 I don't know if you forget it and want to forget it. I apologize, man. I was a kid. I was like 19 years old, 21 years old. I didn't know what I was saying. And when I found out he was Puerto Rican, it really messed me it really messed me up cuz you know I'm racist I take care of my people that's not the Maxwell he would not remember this for the foot if his life
Starting point is 01:06:56 depend on but we was in scores in New York at the strip club it was official I think he wanted to fight me, my brother. Yeah, nah, that's the worst. He wanted that smoke. I think, yo, Maxwell wanted that smoke. I'm giving him props. I mean, he wanted it. He went violent and was like, yo, you gotta relax. He was mad. It was like three strippers in the club had no idea who he was, but they was just, like, on him like that.
Starting point is 01:07:16 Oh, suck it, I'm off. What are you talking about? You're probably like, damn. Oh, okay. I'm not gonna say it. I'm not gonna say it. I know it's a drink chance, but I'm not going there with it. Yo, but Maxwell, I would love Maxwell on a drink chance.
Starting point is 01:07:24 Hey, you know what? I'm not gonna say it. I'm not gonna say it. I'm not damn I'm not going in with your back love you guys well on drink shit you know what the crazy I said this all these are be dudes like I think John legend would never come on here cuz I said some shit about him like yeah like I'm just saying like young guys are easy for me to fuck with. It's not that I mean it. It's not that I... So anybody who I offended with my lyrics, if you're an R&B singer, I didn't mean it. You know,
Starting point is 01:07:51 I didn't mean it. No, because I'm saying this like I'm playing. I'm not. I really am. I'm sorry. Make some noise if you're not being it.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Yeah, yeah. I really am sorry. I really am sorry. But Art Basel, what's going on? What parties you went to and how did you feel about it? Let's go.
Starting point is 01:08:06 Toby? Yeah, you. Engineer has. Shit, I went to... Cocaine. Where you did cocaine at? I was with you. I get it.
Starting point is 01:08:14 I get it. I was doing the cocaine. You do cocaine. But I was in... We went to the Revolt party. Revolt party was dope. Revolt party was dope. What else did we do?
Starting point is 01:08:22 Revolt... Let me bring up Revolt because they out here showing off. Their line was around the corner. Yo, that shit was thick as fuck. Let's make some noise for a vote. Their line was around the corner. There was a lot of other parties that were scary. Man, man, man, man.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Yeah. Damn it. But my vote was lit. What party did you go to? Racket Bar was lit. Racket Bar was dope. I don't know what else I found. I didn't go to Wood Tavern, which is ironic. Every...
Starting point is 01:08:47 Basel. I'll go to Wood Tavern. I didn't go to Wood Tavern, and I didn't go to Brickle. Which, by the way... Not Brickle. Brickhouse. Brickhouse. Which, by the way, Brickhouse is very important.
Starting point is 01:08:58 If you guys are in Miami area, we having a Christmas party. What? It's not your traditional Christmas party. We're going to be in there with ho, ho and Santa's hats yes and we're gonna be out there drinking it's a rock you're out there drinking deli on we be out there drinking belly we out there drinking mo wet we out there drinking Hennessy be out there drinking Bellin. This is a Bobar event. Christmas party. Come with your Santa hats on. Ho ho ho. And buy a drink for somebody else. That is our gift. Starting point is 01:10:16 You know, rest in peace, Timbuk2. You know what I'm saying? As a matter of fact, let's give him a moment of silence for Timbuk2. Rest in peace, Timbuk2, god damn it. So, come on, man. Make a loud noise for that. Shout out to DJ Ferris. While somebody was opening up a rapper and I started, yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:36 Shout out to Chelsea Bell. Courtney Bell. Yeah, yeah. Make a mark. Make a mark. Shout out to all my... Yo, listen, there's a dope spot if you're going to be there on... In Chicago?
Starting point is 01:10:44 Yeah, in Chicago. In Chicago. If you happen to be there until Sunday, there's like a fire brunch that happens there. You got to get in and out of Chicago. It's freezing, brother.
Starting point is 01:10:52 Yeah. Listen, it is freezing in Chicago. Free bullets everywhere. My blood brother is in Chicago and I'll be like this until the summertime, nigga. You know how it is. I'm in Miami.
Starting point is 01:11:04 I'm not even trying to go to New York I'm flying my family from New York for Christmas here and you come fuck with me why should I go there I see the snow on the screen like I don't actually have to do that like I don't actually have to pick up the snow like and then you know
Starting point is 01:11:19 a lot of y'all don't know the yellow snow don't eat the yellow snow there's no such thing as yellow snow that's called pee pee so we were talking about Art Baszler oh we also went to the Nas party what was that? oh we did go to the Nas party
Starting point is 01:11:40 and MoCon we went to the left for QB we went to G-Codes we went up to Don Perignon for taking care of him I'm sorry, I'm gonna pass it to you. Nas, I'm not gonna lie, you are, you are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best.
Starting point is 01:11:49 You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best.
Starting point is 01:11:57 You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. You are the best. I'm not $15,000 worth of liquor. Yeah, I'm not going to lie, Nas.
Starting point is 01:12:05 I'm sorry. I'm going to pass it to you. Nas, I'm not going to lie. You are something to look up to. And listen, he does that at almost every club. He just goes there. He drinks the amount that he wants, and he just leaves it. The alcoholic in me, wait a minute.
Starting point is 01:12:21 I don't do that. I'll leave it, but I'm like, I'm taking this, too. I got the contract. What you saying about that? You know, I apologize I didn't get a chance to get to you,
Starting point is 01:12:31 but I did the Maxim party with DJ Irie and Yo Gotti at the Plymouth Hotel. Shit was lit. Oh, man. You know what? Randy Acker went there.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Yeah. Randy Acker, my friend. Chase Carter from the Bahamas was our cover girl for Maxim. Shouts out to Maxim because- Nobody's drinking the wine with me.
Starting point is 01:12:49 You should have a little shot of this, man. Trust me. Okay, I am. I got to do it. You even got a shot glass here, bro, so I'm just going to pour it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, so pour it. The Maxim party, like-
Starting point is 01:12:58 Well, everybody got to get a shot. Come on, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's go. Let's believe in the shot glass. I mean, just, eh. Hold on. A little try. A little try.
Starting point is 01:13:06 The maximum party was lit. I mean, Chase Carter is fantastic. But hold on. Can you break down what you brought in here? Because you brought her case. I don't respect your judgment. You came here and you brought, what's it called? Ziami.
Starting point is 01:13:18 Ziami. Ziami. All right. So this is from Miami? Yeah. Okay. So, all right. You gave me a shot shot.
Starting point is 01:13:23 What is this about? A shot shot. I'm going to bring this down real quick. Okay. I don't want to take up too much time. No. So, all right. You gave me a shot shot. What is this about? Shot shot. I'm going to bring this down real quick. Okay. I won't take up too much time. No problem. These two bottles. All right.
Starting point is 01:13:30 Camera one. Camera one right here is official. So, as you can see, this is like the essence of Miami when it's at its best. So, you see the, you know, the art deco colors. This is like when a woman do Zumba. Yo, I mean, you remember like niggas used to look at Miami Vice like, yo, I got to get there at some point, right? It was like,
Starting point is 01:13:47 Crockett and Tubbs, so like, this is Crockett, this is Tubbs. So, this is the platinum, right? They're both award winning. So, this is like
Starting point is 01:13:54 your general, like, white. So, this is the platinum right here. That's the platinum, baby. That's the platinum. Now, this one here, this one,
Starting point is 01:14:01 this is my baby. This is Ruby Rush. Yeah, Ruby is so sexy this is a grapefruit infused rum so you know for anybody's like yeah I don't like grapefruit all I'm asking is that you just try it it's actually available in all 30 total wine stores throughout Miami and Florida Wow ABC is coming up next week well um it's an in a lot of different spots. So it's just smooth.
Starting point is 01:14:28 It's cool. Anybody else got a shot? Yeah. Hold on. Let's pour it up. Yeah, yeah. Come on. Let's pour it up.
Starting point is 01:14:33 I don't want to do this by myself now. Because if I turn into a gremlin, we all turn into a gremlin. Let's do it together. See you guys after midnight. The platinum one would be like blue dot. Just a regular rum. It's your standard. And then one is flavored with the infused grapefruit.
Starting point is 01:14:48 Exactly, exactly. Now, the beautiful thing about this is, even to all my people that are like, yo, I don't drink light liquor, I don't drink rum. Everybody that I've actually had taste this, the Hennessy drinkers, Cognac, D'Ussé and all that, they're like, oh shit, this shit is smooth. They're like, oh shit, because that's how it's still. Shout out to Mr. Ziami, Victor Olashansky, and what he did, he created this. That was 35 and this one's
Starting point is 01:15:13 40. The beautiful thing about the Ruby Rush is that on ice, fantastic. Okay, just straight. Anybody else got a shot? Come on, everybody, come on. Let's do this. Where your shot at? You good?
Starting point is 01:15:27 All right, solo. Solo, solo, solo. Solo, solo. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers.
Starting point is 01:15:34 Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers.
Starting point is 01:15:40 Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. ice. Yeah, yeah. I couldn't get no ice. I need a glass. I like the flavor. It's good.
Starting point is 01:15:48 It's good. It's hot as shit, though. That shit is staying right here. Hot as a motherfucker. Can I get another glass for Anil? Because I want to give him some... Oh, it's okay. It's okay.
Starting point is 01:15:57 I'm straight. I loved it. I loved it. Fill it. Fill it. Yeah, but I'm a drinker. One is too good. Just a glass.
Starting point is 01:16:03 Shouts out to my people from Voss. Voss with flavored water now. If you're drinking, I recommend alternate. And what that means is you have a drink. Yep, and water. Look at that. That's what I do. Drink water.
Starting point is 01:16:14 You need to alternate to hydrate your system. And the people at Voss have been fantastic to me. The flavored waters that they send are absolutely great. I want to make sure that I want to give drink champs even more water for them because they got so much liquor and not enough hydration. Yes, please. So we need this to happen. You see, I already staffed me a regular boss. Look, I like the regular without the shit.
Starting point is 01:16:35 Exactly, exactly. I put mine to the side already early. When it comes down to it, man, you got to put water in your system. Yes, yes. You're drinking a lot. So shouts out to boss. Thank you very much for taking care of us tonight. Drink Champs, it's a fantastic thing you need to support shout out to Voss Thank you very much For taking care of us tonight Drink Champs
Starting point is 01:16:45 It's a fantastic thing You need to support That's right Thank you very much Now I'm going to get Into a different subject And I'm going to throw This out there
Starting point is 01:16:52 Nicki Minaj Right Queens Queens Every relationship Nicki Minaj Ever had The public has had
Starting point is 01:17:02 A problem with Like I don't know why people are having a problem. I get, you know, I see what they're saying and all this thing. Allegedly. Allegedly and all this. If the girl is happy, why
Starting point is 01:17:16 the fuck people can't just leave her the fuck alone and be happy? Like, listen, sis, we don't know if you're listening to this or whatnot. If whatever you're doing makes you happy, don't worry about... You don't got to be
Starting point is 01:17:30 addressing these fucking reporters. You don't got to be doing nothing. Live your best life and truly live your best life. In fact, sis, you don't even got to be filming this shit. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:17:40 You can film after the gym workout because people are going to hate on your relationship and you need to know that. So if you're really happy, you don't have to publicize that shit at all. If you're happy, man, if you like it, I love it, man.
Starting point is 01:17:53 You know what I'm saying? Go out there and live your best life. Who's to say to do what or who's perfect or what? Fuck that. Do what the fuck you want to do. If that's what makes you fucking happy, then motherfucking be happy. That's real shit. That's real shit, man. You know what I'm saying? do if that's what makes you fucking happy then motherfucking be happy the misery look may love company but you know positivity does to be positive
Starting point is 01:18:14 fine yeah that's real that's real to share your positivity as well wisdom misery loves company but positivity does to or and you know what it is what it is is you know her boyfriend has been the industry for so long that people like i mean that's real shit like i remember for years people would say don't say you married or don't say you like because they want your boyfriend or your girl to actually be the industry. You know what I'm saying? So now that she's made all the money she could probably possibly make, if she want to go off and have babies or do whatever the fuck she want to do, it's none of our business, first of all. So it's none of our business.
Starting point is 01:18:58 She can do what the fuck she wants. And I encourage her to do what the fuck she wants. And especially if it make you happy. Be the motherfucker happy. Hell yes. Nicki Minaj, where the fuck you at? Do your motherfucking thing, man. Fuck these motherfuckers.
Starting point is 01:19:12 Now, we recently had Rory on the podcast. Let's big up Rory. Let's big up Rory. It's going to be one of the most hilarious shits ever. I'll also see him the next day after that. Big up to Rory. Big up to Joe Button. Big up to Molly Mar, I up to Joe Button Big up to
Starting point is 01:19:25 Molly Ma I believe I forget how you pronounce it Molly Ma all the time Molly Ma My bad Big them up We come on, we joke with each other all the time Rory was on there
Starting point is 01:19:41 Which ironically the next day We seen them at DJ Khaled's secret party. And it was, this was some crazy shit. It's the first time I ever seen Lenny S.
Starting point is 01:19:54 like mad. Really mad. Like mad. So... That one, I fight you mad. Yeah, like, at Joe Budden.
Starting point is 01:20:04 And he's mad at Joe Budden and he's mad at Rory because he's like, yo, you sitting next to him while Joe Button is talking about me. And the thing about it is Rory and Lenny S. has this great relationship with Duce. And it kind of reminded me, like, to, like, you know, the Crooked Eye, Rory, the situation where Crooked was, like, Crooked was kind of explaining, of explaining like you know Joe kind of just messed up the money and um so Lenny was pissed um getting back to that like my friend look you know me and Rory we joke on each other like he'll say something I'll say something it's nothing serious but it's you know it's okay people queens I get his humor. I'm from Queens. He gets my humor.
Starting point is 01:20:46 But him and Lenny, his quarrel was not humorous at all. But, you know, I'm walking over there expecting that because I've never seen Lenny S. I've known Lenny S. since 1997. And I've seen him mad before. I've just never seen him this mad. I've never seen him mad where after you say something, he doesn't let it go. He just kept coming back, kept coming back. So it was crazy because I just never seen Lenny S. mad.
Starting point is 01:21:15 And Rory was acting like he had kind of nothing to do with it. But I just don't know. I don't know if you can act like you have nothing to do with it when someone... Even though if y'all have a relationship on your own, I don't know. That's crazy. I don't know if you can act like you have nothing to do with it when someone, even though if y'all have a relationship on your own, I get that. But, um, Liliass was not having it that night. Let's make some noise for Liliass. Let's make some noise for Rory, too, god damn.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Making it entertaining. Why not? And, um, I respect Rory. Obviously, I respect Lory Obviously I respect Lenny S as well Because he stood his ground both times Whether it was the crooked eye Or it was the Lenny S
Starting point is 01:21:51 He kept saying you know It's my friend I don't agree with everything he does But I have to stand by him And to me that should be warranted You know what I'm saying Everything I'm not going to agree with you But as long as you stand the fuck by me.
Starting point is 01:22:07 And later on, when I'm wrong, I might come to us and say, thank you, because we were both wrong. But I will respect your loyalty and I will stand by you when you're wrong. And he wasn't set up that day, because he didn't see that.
Starting point is 01:22:18 And Rory, you were not set up. He was not set up. No, no, that was a totally different thing. He came back. Rory was not set up. If you see somebody, and you leave, and you come back, and we tell you to come back, pretty much, it's a totally different thing. He came back. Where we was not set up. If you see somebody and you leave and you come back and we tell you to come back, pretty much it's a possibility that guy would be there.
Starting point is 01:22:30 And then you see the guy there and then you sat down. But that's another story for another day. He came back. And that's another story for another day. So big up to Lenny S. And big up to Rory. And we enjoyed it. Big up to the party.
Starting point is 01:22:40 And I enjoyed it. And big up to that party. I enjoyed having Rory on the drink challenge. Y'all guys gonna stop taking my light so y'all don't turn I'm giving them back alright cool
Starting point is 01:22:47 alright oh Kevin fucking Hart mmm oh is that nice do we respect Kevin Hart decision from back and down
Starting point is 01:23:00 and not saying yeah or what is what is what is I do and I'm gonna tell you why because where's the fucking cut off from from from bad shit you can say in the past right I mean listen anybody who may have said some shit I've
Starting point is 01:23:15 said some dumb shit I've done a lot more dumb shit right so where's the cutoff point like should we start digging niggas about the grave because they did some shit in like 1682 that wasn't cool right looking at it from 2018 right um he's apologized he said he was sorry um you know we did we live in a different world if you dug up a tweet that he sent last month right all right i might be able to follow that but like you digging up some shit that he has said in a whole different space like He's been through different shit. He's been through a scandal. He went through somebody trying to extort him.
Starting point is 01:23:48 So he looks through the world through a different prism now. So I don't want to hold him to that if he's already said, you know what? My bad. I shouldn't have said that. That's it. It wasn't like I said it at that point, but that's not where I'm at today. And I think when it comes down to it, we all I said it at that point, but that's not where I'm at today. And I think when it comes down to it, we all kind of look at things differently based upon the world now. Like, you know, we hear things from people that maybe we wouldn't even address back 10, 15, 20 years ago.
Starting point is 01:24:16 Right. Listen, there's a woman who said that she was assaulted by a guy who became a Supreme Court judge. Now, if this was 20, 25 years ago, she would have never even gotten listened to. Today, she had a platform to at least say, look, I'm going to tell you how I feel, whether you want to run with it or not. Like, this is what happened in my eyes,
Starting point is 01:24:37 and this is what went down. So, you know, I think we run in a very slippery slope where we want to hold somebody to? Things that they said once upon a time think about if you're a rapper, bro Yeah, like you know, I'll be honest you said some shit like in 1996. No, I said 2018 I think we can't hold you to that Yeah, listen one time I said my name nori but only fam call me poppy you niggas homos like the cattle killed the satchel Hmm and Jack won the game and on espn
Starting point is 01:25:07 he quoted my line or tnt i kid you not this is the era we lived in back then they didn't give a fuck because you know the person who killed was he was calamity it was a hard line by the way it's a hard line but i honestly because when i was a kid, like, now, listen, I'm going to be honest. And this might sound crazy. But a lot of the times when you're not successful, you don't even be around those types. Those types don't bother me. Like, whatever you are, as long as you do what you do. Like, in fact, not only do they don't bother me, they get along with me. Like, whatever you are, as long as you do what you do, like, in fact, not only they don't bother,
Starting point is 01:25:47 they get along with me. Like, I'm not in their world. I'm always with my wife, and I'm not in their world. They're not in mine. We respect each other, and that's that. You know what I'm saying? As far as, you know, Kevin Hart goes, I didn't
Starting point is 01:26:03 see, although I'm with Kevin Hart, but I didn't see the harm in saying, you know what, I just want y'all to reiterate. This is a big platformer. He could have did a lot more with that. So in my opinion, I respect him by saying, you know what, by him saying, you know what, him saying you know what I apologize already I apologize for this and I apologize for that but
Starting point is 01:26:30 I don't see I would have loved to see Cameron Hart host the Oscars I would have loved to see it I would have loved to see him up there
Starting point is 01:26:40 and then making a joke of it like man you know I was talking about y'all but I didn't mean it like that I didn't know y'all n it like man you know I was talking about y'all but I didn't mean it like that I didn't know
Starting point is 01:26:47 y'all niggas really you know what I mean like make a total joke out of it and be like yo and then maybe got into more trouble but fuck it
Starting point is 01:26:55 at least you did it your way you know what I'm saying but if you feel like you apologize that many times like I've been in certain situations
Starting point is 01:27:03 like I've had a whole you know beef with Perez Hilton I don't know this is real shit yeah we had a real beef yeah like a real not real
Starting point is 01:27:11 I mean I ain't I ain't shoot him but we had like a real beef and I said something to him that I regret it and instead of me waiting 15 years I apologize right there
Starting point is 01:27:24 I didn't apologize to him, I apologize right there. I didn't apologize to him, but I apologized to anybody who was like him. I was like, damn, me bringing up his sexuality was whack. And I said it immediately. Because it's just a natural spark. You argue with a fat person, the first thing you say is fat. You argue with a four-eyes person, the first thing you say is four-eyed until you realize you know, oh, okay, maybe calling somebody four-eyed is offensive to other
Starting point is 01:27:50 four-eyed people. I'm not trying to offend other four-eyed people. I just want to offend this four-eyed motherfucker. You understand what I'm saying? Do you realize? So, I've grown. I've grown with time and I've realized, you know, you gotta go. I got a suggestion. And I want
Starting point is 01:28:06 the world to hear this first on Drenchings, right? Yes, please. I would like to remind everybody who's not aware that in South Africa, once Nelson Mandela was freed and there was a change in power, they had something called the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, right?
Starting point is 01:28:22 So that was anybody who had feelings that was going on about apartheid and about racism and all those things had a chance to voice their opinion and voice their struggle and voice everything that happened to them. And we're going to deal with it right now. And anything after this point is
Starting point is 01:28:37 different. We're going to leave all this shit in the past. What was that called? Truth and reconciliation. That's hard. So I think that's what needs to happen now In a situation like this Cause if you was If you was wrong back then You said sorry then Why do you have to
Starting point is 01:28:50 Reiterate your Your wrongness And your sorryness This fucking point Right now That's what we need in America Don't hold me back To some shit I said
Starting point is 01:28:57 In 1968 Cause all of us was dumb 10 years ago Yeah That's what I'm saying Like this is why I understand the plight I understand your pain I understand your suffering I didn't get it then But you know You made it clear what I'm saying. This is why I understand the plight. I understand your pain.
Starting point is 01:29:05 I understand your suffering. I didn't get it then. But you know, you made it clear now. I'm keeping it 100 with you. Look, look, look. But this is how you know I was real about it. Because I was like, what happens if they call me? If they Me Too Nori?
Starting point is 01:29:19 God damn. No, no, I'm not Me Too Nori. They can't do that. They was all trying to jump in on that same shit. I said, I said, look, this'm not me too, no way. They can't do that. He was the only one trying to jump in on that same shit. I said, I said, this is what I said. Okay, hold on. The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration in the United States. Recipients have done the improbable,
Starting point is 01:29:38 showing immense bravery and sacrifice in the name of something much bigger than themselves. This medal is for the men who went down that day. It's for the families of those who didn't make it. I'm J.R. Martinez. I'm a U.S. Army veteran myself, and I'm honored to tell you the stories of these heroes on the new season of Medal of Honor, Stories of Courage from Pushkin Industries and iHeart Podcast.
Starting point is 01:30:07 From Robert Blake, the first black sailor to be awarded the medal, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice. These are stories about people who have distinguished themselves by acts of valor, going above and beyond the call of duty. You'll hear about what they did, what it meant, and what their stories tell us about the nature of courage and sacrifice. Listen to Medal of Honor on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. A lot of times the big economic forces
Starting point is 01:30:42 we hear about on the news show up in our lives in small ways. Three or four days a week, I would buy two cups of banana pudding. But the price has gone up, so now I only buy one. The demand curve in action. And that's just one of the things we'll be covering on Everybody's Business from Bloomberg Businessweek. I'm Max Chavkin. So listen to Everybody's Business on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I know a lot of cops, and they get asked all the time,
Starting point is 01:31:42 have you ever had to shoot your gun? Sometimes the answer is yes. But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no. Across the country, cops called this taser the revolution. But not everyone was convinced it was that simple. Cops believed everything that taser told them.

Starting point is 01:33:48 Oh yeah, I just want to say this. Let me just do you a favor. Go erase my old tweets. Look, try to erase the pro-ass tweets. Can I erase what they know? Yeah, yeah, yeah, please, please. Hold on, hold on. Let me start it from,
Starting point is 01:34:02 I want to just say, do me a favor. Okay, need a favor. Start it from need a favor. And then say, what's up? This is me talking to Tito. Yes. So, need a favor. Yes.
Starting point is 01:34:12 Tito says, what's up? Try to erase the Perez tweets and anything flagrant from my Twitter. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, says Tito. That means erase your entire Twitter account. You never called him a homo no he says damn I think you didn't
Starting point is 01:34:30 you also have to erase all your old songs where you said faggot haha you definitely said it before that's Tito what? NL says
Starting point is 01:34:38 songs I don't care might be in LA Friday night Saturday morning yeah that's something different okay that's okay that's something different. Okay. It's okay.
Starting point is 01:34:47 I'm just following along. That's how it really is right now. Following along. So here goes Tito. You can erase tweets, but it's never getting erased off the web. This is real. Right. And he sends him a link to the screenshot
Starting point is 01:34:56 because once you put it out there, instantaneously, you can't get rid of it. Right? And Tito comes back and says, you apologize immediately. And sends a screenshot. Didn't I tell you all that? Of it. Yep. And and says you apologize immediately and says a screenshot I'll tell you that of it yeah and it says yep and I stand by it yeah Tito comes back with you never said fag either you just said homo and he is
Starting point is 01:35:15 homosexual so I feel better about this And I'm about to say, facts. Facts. So now, Tito does the very, like, studious thing. Let me see. No, it's good. It's good. It's good. I don't know where we're going. Let's go. If you Google the following, Twitter Noriega fag, or Twitter Noriega faggot, or Twitter
Starting point is 01:35:39 Noriega homo, you'll see what pops up, and anyone can find out anything you've ever said in the past. And I know at this point Feels like damn What did I say Yes Right Tito comes back with No homo
Starting point is 01:35:53 On any Of those key words It's funnier Without the word twitter Cause then your rap lyrics Pop up Wow The end
Starting point is 01:36:02 Wow That's crazy And this is This is real Let me just tell you something This is real Because above. Wow. The end. That's crazy. And this is real. Let me just tell you something. This is real because I'm thinking about it, right? I'm thinking about it. I'm like, you know, I get offered other opportunities.
Starting point is 01:36:15 And you know what? Like, I've realized people in my family. But I, I, but when you don't interact, it's just like, it's just like I remember my grandfather, right? My grandfather. I don't mean, I don't want to ever compare being black to being gay, because it's two different places. It's probably the same struggle, two different places, right? But my grandfather was like, your mother was the first person, first black person I ever, like, loved.
Starting point is 01:36:47 It's my grandfather, not my father. My father was my mother's wife. It's my grandfather. Because I didn't realize my grandfather was racist. So he didn't know Puerto Rican. He didn't know other black people. So my mother, you know, straightening my father out, he told me, he's like, that's the first black person I love because he never met another black person. It's not that he, it's not even that he was racist. He never had encounters. He stayed
Starting point is 01:37:17 in his part of Chicago, which was full of all Puerto Ricans and he stood there. So what I'm saying is once you met my mother he became a different person for black people so then he's like oh okay damn I always thought what he heard mm-hmm it's pretty much the same thing what like any one this like if you like oh okay like I seem to do Jason I forget his blog Name Um In college party And he's He's the gay guy But I seen him So I don't see him
Starting point is 01:37:50 I don't even want to make Eye contact But I wanted him to know It wasn't cause he was gay It's cause you that gossip man Why you doing that to me No It's the guy
Starting point is 01:38:01 Who love hip hop Google him Google him Google him Light skin guy From LA Bobby Light No no no Not him No, it's the guy from Love & Hip Hop. Google him. Google him. Google him. Google him. Light Skin Guy from L.A. Bobby Lights. No, no, no, not him.
Starting point is 01:38:09 I see him all the time. What is he? What does he do? From Love & Hip Hop. He's like the blogger from L.A., from L.A., Love & Hip Hop L.A. The Light Skin Guy blogger. Blossom? Is it Blossom?
Starting point is 01:38:21 No, no, no, no. I think it's Jason or Jay or something like that. I think not. Jason or J or something Let me see Yes, one of them no, I did not look at Jason Lee. Let me see my skin do Yep, that's him. Yeah, so I don't know like If he seen me I seen Tim I know I seen Tim But I know like When we like Made eye contact
Starting point is 01:38:48 I kinda looked the other way I didn't want him to feel like It was because of You know It was because Nigga I know you say Anything about Anybody
Starting point is 01:38:57 Like I Look at your shit You're like You're the black Perez Hilton Let's make some noise For you nigga So I just want You know I know This guy a little awkward But you know Nah You're the black Perez Hilton. Let's make some noise for you, nigga. So I just want, you know,
Starting point is 01:39:08 I know this got a little awkward, but, you know, this is my family. You know, I have a cousin. This is my first time ever even saying this, I believe. I have a cousin, you know. My cousin Richard is Rene, you know.
Starting point is 01:39:22 Is that serious? Oh, Rene, fuck you up. Rene, fuck you up. It's Richard or Rene fuck you up Rene fuck you up it's Richard oh Rene whatever you want and this is my family like I can't I don't care
Starting point is 01:39:32 I've always looked at it like my family I can't stop now um see you said you were going to turn my life look at that
Starting point is 01:39:38 it was false so I just want all people to know that I said drink champs us this to know that I said drink champs Must for this is very important. I said drink chance. We love all race color greed sex I have I have gay people in my family. I have Russian people in my family. I got Colombian people in my family. I got also as well the people I got cigarillo people in my family. I got Osweiler people. I got Cigarillo people in my family.
Starting point is 01:40:07 I got Haitian people. I am a global citizen of the world. That's right. As long as you ain't a scumbag, as long as you ain't a scumbag,
Starting point is 01:40:22 as long as you know, as long as you're not, you know what I'm talking about. As long as you're't a scumbag, as long as you not, you know what I'm talking about. As long as you not out to get somebody, I can find a way to get along with you. You know, I come from Queens, and Queens, like my neighbor was, I was at the International, I was at the International House of Pancakes. I had to fucking, what's this shit, United Nations on the international house of pancakes. I had to fucking was this at United Nations three floors Streams German so I want everybody to know that if you if you if you you know you homosexual you black you you Why you whatever whatever you is we ain't gonna judge you we don't do that
Starting point is 01:41:04 You don't say you vegetarian you eat pork. you, whatever. Whatever you is, we ain't going to judge you. We don't do that. You know what I'm saying? You vegetarian, you eat pork. We ain't going to judge you. You know what I'm saying? We ain't going to judge you. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 01:41:13 Can I add something real quick? Go ahead, yeah. You know, I have one major philosophy. Don't hurt kids. Don't hurt old people. Don't do shit to people that they don't want done and more importantly though this has been a philosophy I have for a very long time for every homosexual male that's out there that's the extra woman that's
Starting point is 01:41:33 choosing so I'm okay with that that's right that's the real game I appreciate that you know do what you do I ain't gonna hate you I ain't gonna be mad at you you free one up for niggas like us cuz I want to get into this one because we was getting into this one off-camera you wasn't here yet Kodak black and Ebro I don't know if people seen this is a clip flying around and I called Ebro, excuse me, let me reiterate that, let me re-say that. I text Ebro,
Starting point is 01:42:09 and Ebro called me. Because, when I text Ebro, I was wrong. I said, damn, Kodak just walked out on the road, because what I read,
Starting point is 01:42:17 was bullied, like Ebro bullied him. Going back, looking at the footage, there was wrongs on both sides. You want me to say why there was wrong on both sides? Please do. The thing is this.
Starting point is 01:42:32 The thing is this. The thing is this. In my day, not to sound like the old Fred Fox dude here, but in my day, if you went to Hot 97 and you didn't give a good interview, you would never be asked to come back. So everyone goes to Hot 97 with their A1 game, right? When Hot asks you for something, you respond such and such and such. I felt Kodak did that. I felt Kodak almost gave it his all but it is Ebro's job to ask the uncomfortable question it's just it's just what it is it's if you go to the breakfast club and tell them I can't do this this and that more
Starting point is 01:43:23 than likely the breakfast club don going to say walk out. You go to Ebro in the morning, Laura Stiles, Peter Rosenberg, and Ebro, obviously, Big Upcast One, and everybody else. You can't tell them how to do they show. You sincerely just can't. So I felt cold on my behalf. tell them how to do their show. You sincerely just can't. So,
Starting point is 01:43:46 I felt cold on my behalf. I felt cold actually to handle it a little bit. Because once you public, once you sign a contract, no part of your life is private. We should respect it.
Starting point is 01:44:01 We should respect when you get out of jail. We should respect when you go to court. We should respect it. We should respect when you get out of jail. We should respect when you go to court. We should respect when you pick your daughter up from school. And we do. But the paparazzi don't live by our rules. The media don't live by our rules. Motherfuckers in the club.
Starting point is 01:44:20 They don't live by our rules. So once you become famous, your life is pretty much um and you can't say well i'm like you can't say i'm i'm rich but don't hide in my bushes i'm famous but don't follow me it's either or you can pick you can say I don't want to be famous I don't want to be none of this
Starting point is 01:44:49 stop rapping I don't want the money stop rapping but um so what did y'all everybody watch the Ebro? yeah I watched it I watched it
Starting point is 01:44:58 17 minutes the whole 17 minutes or you watched the one minute? no the one minute one minute one? I saw the whole thing I think it could have been handled on both sides a little better.
Starting point is 01:45:06 Okay, so pick which side and describe one for us. I mean, I think Ebro being, you know, the platform that he has and conducting the interview,
Starting point is 01:45:16 he could have, you know, like once he saw Kodak kind of getting standoffish, he could have avoided it. Like, you know, wasn't it Peter Rosenberg trying to steer it?
Starting point is 01:45:26 And they kind of like stayed stuck. But that was at the end when you talked about when he asked about the rape allegations. Yeah. And then he brought it
Starting point is 01:45:33 to Steph Curry on the moon. Yeah. And then Kodak was like, I don't want to talk, that's bullshit also. Right. And then Ebro was like, nah, we could end it right now.
Starting point is 01:45:43 That's cool. And then he's like, I'm gone. And then he got up like, no, we could end it right now. That's cool. And then he's like, I'm gone. And then he got up and left. Yeah. I think he could have been like, all right, let's talk about something else. And just to keep the interview going, Ebro, why? Yeah, who said why?
Starting point is 01:45:58 Me. Why not? Because Kodak has millions of fans that want to know more about him. That's why he's there. Yeah, but you in my zone. This is the reason why we don't interview new people. And this is the reason why. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:46:14 Rasta, I want to hear you. Rasta is a special. I just have a question. Yes, please. You said it's Ebro's job to ask the question, but is it his job to respect who he's interviewing? Yes. Yes, no Then corner is not gonna respect the bag is that simple He's like don't reset. He's done. Oh, you know, so still you still
Starting point is 01:46:42 Some correct to respect how that he's serving. But the thing where Ebro's also... He could have said to Ebro, fuck your dick, as I walked out. He walked out, I think that's respectful, because if he would have came on there and acted real brow-county, you know what I mean, and acted like a real down-soft dude, you know what I mean, like,
Starting point is 01:46:56 oh, fuck this, we ain't got it, it would have been a totally different situation. He ended it and walked out. I thought that was very humble of him. For me, I've seen Kodak, his growth, and I have to acknowledge that. Because if it was the Kodak from a year ago that went up there and that happened, it would have never ended that way. You know what I'm saying? And I feel like Ebro, he is more of a vet.
Starting point is 01:47:16 You know what I mean? So, at least that's what I think. I respect you and I respect your opinion. But here's the deal. Once you sign a contract I ain't gonna lie bro You obligated I'm not gonna lie
Starting point is 01:47:29 You obligated To have your life scrutinized Like I ain't gonna lie to you I'm just being honest with you I've seen the most realest dudes In the world And if they wanna keep the money They gotta change
Starting point is 01:47:40 And they gotta sit there Like Kodak could've easily said Yo you know what bro I know where I'm at I know this is one of the biggest radio stations in the world but I ain't going there that's why I said both sides yo hold on let me take you back though for a second alright because they also asked him about ODB and he didn't know who ODB was. He thought it was Bushwick Bill.
Starting point is 01:48:05 That was actually hilarious. Let's do some history right now. Let's do some history, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a point in time at that same station, Storm Buckwild was doing interviews in the morning. And I remember Nelly and the St. Lunatics going up there and an interview going left. And things actually got live in the morning. Yep. And I remember Nelly and the St. Lunatics going up there and an interview going left. Okay. And things actually got live
Starting point is 01:48:29 in the studio. Okay. Where it wasn't just somebody saying, yo, I'm walking out. All right, so now you want to get into politics.
Starting point is 01:48:36 Hold on. Mike's was getting all around. Let me just tell you something. Then in that case, you're making Ebro's point. Because in that case, the only other time
Starting point is 01:48:44 Kodak has ever been Interviewed in New York Was the Breakfast Club And Tac Stone And Tac Stone Tac Stone God bless Tac Stone We already
Starting point is 01:48:54 We know where he's at He's in the You know Fighting his case So you're making Ebro's case a little bit stronger Why you saying that Because
Starting point is 01:49:00 Hold on Hear me out Okay Because the only other time Kodak has ever been In New York doing interviews was Tag Stone
Starting point is 01:49:06 and the Breakfast Club Ebro actually started this interview off that was his first thing he said he said I was skeptic he did bring bad energy to it by saying I was skeptic
Starting point is 01:49:16 because I looked through your interviews plural what I asked I looked at your interviews and you had a mask on it's not first off that's not correct's your interview and you had a mask on. It's not.
Starting point is 01:49:27 First off, that's not correct. He only did one interview with a mask on and that's the breakfast club. But let you know, Ebro knows his shit. He's watching his competition. Kodak was supposed to say. Okay.
Starting point is 01:49:42 I get it. Last time I was here, the people who even co-signed Kodak I was here The people who Even co-signed Kodak Black The first people Who ever introduced them To the New York crowd
Starting point is 01:49:51 Was Tack Stone I don't know If people know this If you look at the Tack Stone podcast He's pretty much all Like You know
Starting point is 01:50:00 I don't want to say Like you know He's a person Who was doing this For us For us And he was the person who was doing this for us. And he was the person who co-signed Kodak Black. He tried to bring Kodak Black
Starting point is 01:50:11 to Hot 97. I believe Hot 97 was like, fuck it. I'm not thinking this. Ebro, I can't tell you. Miss Ebro, I can't tell you who it is. He's now more than he doesn't do
Starting point is 01:50:19 the program no more. So, so Kodak, if Kodak or people from Atlantic, because they're well aware of this. That's Kodak and S from Atlantic, because they're well aware of this. That's Kodak assigned to Atlantic, correct? Yep. They're well aware of this.
Starting point is 01:50:30 Your artist may not be. That's why I blame the label more than anything. Mike Kaiser, what a ball you dropped. What a ball you dropped. I should be your artist development, Mike Kaiser. Orlando, you have my personal phone number. I would have told Kodak how to
Starting point is 01:50:49 coach through this. That's why I said both sides are going to do better. You know what? Ebro as a shark, if you see blood, you got to go. You got to go. If you see blood, you see the haiku.
Starting point is 01:51:05 And then, let me just tell you something. He's not wrong for that. you gotta go. You gotta go. If you see blood and you see that, alright, cool. And then, let me just tell you something. He's not wrong for asking. No, yeah, he's not wrong for asking this question. He was wrong for the way he could have handled it better.
Starting point is 01:51:14 I think his ego took over. And Kodak could have easily said, you know what, and called him a big homie because that makes people older than you even matter. Yo, big homie. Definitely. Kodak you even madder. Yo, big homie.
Starting point is 01:51:25 Yeah, definitely. Kodak could have handled it. I didn't disrespect him. His big homie is the most disrespectful If he had that training he could have handled
Starting point is 01:51:32 that question. Exactly. He could have said, yo, listen, my man. You know how he talk. Hey, hey, hey. I ain't trying to talk about that.
Starting point is 01:51:40 You trying to talk about that. I ain't trying to talk about Look, man, you can talk about anything else. I ain't talking about that because I ain't talking about no bullshit. That's the shit you're talking to talk about that i ain't trying to talk about look man you can talk about anything else i ain't talking about that because you want to leave i ain't talking about no bullshit that's true you're talking about bullshit it's about real shit
Starting point is 01:51:51 it would have but he he gave up this like i don't need this and that you can't do that as a new artist as a new artist you can't never say don't need this Right Because you do need this Yeah Allow me to To interrupt for a second Yes please Now see Here's the difference
Starting point is 01:52:09 When I mentioned Nelly and them being up When Starbuck Wild Now for those listeners That don't know Who Starbuck Wild was Starbuck Wild was Was dickheads
Starting point is 01:52:17 And those were my people Yeah But they were Deliberately trying to Get you to snuff them Right But even beyond that Even though I wasn't
Starting point is 01:52:23 Before you were able to Stream and listen to shit Like this When you wanted to You had to listenuff them. Right. But even beyond that, before you were able to stream and listen to shit like this when you wanted to, you had to listen to it when it was actually real time. Live. Like, real time.
Starting point is 01:52:32 So you got to be the most entertainment for that 30 minutes. Exactly. Now, here's the biggest difference between the time when Nelly and them went up there. Shouts out to Nelly. That's a fan right there. The whole St. Lunatic posse.
Starting point is 01:52:42 Like, I had them with me a long time ago. Right. And when Kodak goes up. Yes. The difference is Kodak Altonelli, that's fam right there, the whole St. Lunatic posse. Like, I had them with me a long time ago. Right. And when Kodak goes up, the difference is, Kodak actually doesn't need Hot 97. No, he does not. It's facts.
Starting point is 01:52:53 That's true. To make his career go next level. If you want to be national, No, no, no. Hold on, no. But actually, no, you don't. And that's my point, right? Now, listen,
Starting point is 01:53:01 New York niggas will always hold on to New York radio, in particular, Hot 97, as being, like, that last hurdle. It ain't that. And that's my point Right Now listen New York niggas Will always hold on To New York radio In particular Hot 97 As being like That last hurdle It ain't that
Starting point is 01:53:09 It's that Let me just say something You don't need it The way that you did Back then If you catch B for I Heart Radio You got B for I Heart
Starting point is 01:53:16 But that's not Hot 97 That's not Hot 97 MS Broadcast For Claire Shatner MS got two stations They got one in New York They got one in LA And there's a bunch of shit
Starting point is 01:53:25 in New York and LA and all the way in between. You cannot be for iHeart. You can be for Emmitt's. Emmitt's ain't got the... Emmitt's dick is not like that. Emmitt's dick don't split the pussy open. They titties. They're titties. Emmitt's dick don't split the pussy open.
Starting point is 01:53:40 So, Emmitt's dick got nine inches balls. Yo, iHeart will fucking spit you to your fucking neck. Well, I'm telling you, that's exactly what's happening. It's not going to be 10 different radio stations. It's not going to be
Starting point is 01:53:56 10 different record labels. You think there's really going to be Interscope and Def Jam 10 years from now? No, you know what the record label's going to be? Spotify. You know what the record label's be Spotify yeah it's gonna be Apple it's all I AT&T AT&T so we understand the evolution but what we were saying before my point was that Nelly needed how many seven at that point in time because that's the early
Starting point is 01:54:21 2000s yeah differences Kodak doesn't need that particular radio station in the same way that Nelly needed it. So he had the power to say whatever you wanted to say, walk away, do whatever you wanted to, and be like,
Starting point is 01:54:32 look, you know, this ain't for me. So however he wanted to respond at that point in time, actually, Hot needed Kodak Black more than fucking Hot needed him. If you disrespect a radio station,
Starting point is 01:54:42 it doesn't matter if they're your enemy radio station. All radio stations comply. All right, I'll give you an examplepected radio station, it doesn't matter if they're your enemy radio station. All radio stations comply. I'll give you an example. When we allegedly had the shootout in front of Hot 97, which I was not there for. Allegedly. No, no. I was not there.
Starting point is 01:54:56 Allegedly or allegedly not. I just know I was not there. I was on the West Side Highway caught in traffic. How about this? The time I was supposed to interview Game on Rap City and we went to Hot 97 and there was another fucking shooting.
Starting point is 01:55:08 That nigga's gonna walk inside. Yeah, we was the first shooting though. But alright, so let me get back to our shooting. What did you say? No, I was not there. No, I wasn't there. I was not there. It's the truth. Car service guy attested that.
Starting point is 01:55:30 So it didn't matter if it was MS, if it was iHeart, if it was Clear Channel. It was every radio station in the world felt disrespected at that time. Listen, hit me up. Hit me up. You're right. At that time time There was an iHeart But it wasn't a Power 105 It was Clear Channel No, this was iHeart No, no At that time, no
Starting point is 01:55:51 It was Clear Channel Okay, it could have been Clear Channel Okay, which just turned into iHeart It became iHeart After But do you understand That every radio station In the world
Starting point is 01:56:01 It's just like It's just like If you own a sneaker store And you knew every person Who owned every other Sneaker store in the world. It's just like, it's just like, if you own the sneaker store and you knew every person who owned every other sneaker store
Starting point is 01:56:08 in the world and you came in my sneaker store and I'm the world, chill, let me finish, and I'm the world most respected
Starting point is 01:56:15 sneaker guy in the world and you came in my sneaker store and pissed, I bet you 90% of these people would not deal
Starting point is 01:56:21 with you no more. How about this? I'll give you one benefit, bro. Right? I fucking love M.O.P., man. Billy Dance. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:56:30 I love them, too. We all love them. Yes, of course we love them. Brownsville, I love them niggas. They went to L.A. at the time before Sway was doing MTV,
Starting point is 01:56:39 before he was doing fucking the Satellite Radio. Mm-hmm. They didn't have the record on a fucking L.A. trip back then when things were different. Like, you actually had to have vinyl. They fucked the DJ up in the studio because he didn't have the record. Now, blame your fucking record label for making sure that this nigga didn't have the record.
Starting point is 01:56:57 Don't blame the DJ. When that shit happened, Sway will attest to you to this day. I was like, yo, listen, as much as I love fucking M.O.P., I'm not playing them niggas, man. Right, see? You're making my point. No, I am.
Starting point is 01:57:10 Yeah. And I get you. And at that time, they needed... Because the DJs have a union. They needed all of that at that time.
Starting point is 01:57:16 Right. Now, the internet wasn't popping like that. Streaming wasn't popping like that. You couldn't get the music unless a nigga like me was giving it to you. So here's my point
Starting point is 01:57:24 I'm trying to say. I suppose he did do the Broward County shit. And he said, yo, you know what? Ebro, what happened? That sounded like a farty. Oh, no, it was the truth. I suppose he did. He would have had all losses.
Starting point is 01:57:41 There was no wins to that. The thing about it is you got to be intellectual. Once you sign a contract, I kid you not, I don't give a fuck who you are. You become not that nigga that you were prior to that. Because it's an obligation, whether you want to look at it to Shaitan or look at it to
Starting point is 01:57:57 Illuminati or look at it to money or look at it to something. It's something that gets out of you Because you're obligated That To not be in the streets No more I'm just being honest with you
Starting point is 01:58:09 I don't give a fuck Even when you fucking Sign a contract to a job To a job You're saying I shouldn't be in the streets anymore As much as I want to agree with you Uh huh
Starting point is 01:58:22 In 2018 With Donald Trump in office I can't agree with that Because I 2018, with Donald Trump in office, I can't agree with that because I would say... Damn, that's a good point because he signed that shit. Yo, because, listen, if Kodak said...
Starting point is 01:58:31 But he not honorable. We're honorable. We're talking about honorable shit. But honorable doesn't matter in 2018. No, no, no. It does. You not going to let it matter. To honorable niggas, it does.
Starting point is 01:58:40 To honorable niggas, it does. So, listen, now, had Kodak... I'm not letting trolls ruin my life. Had Kodak said... I'm not letting trolls ruin my life. Listen, had Kodak... I'm not letting... Had Kodak caused a spectacle in that studio and said,
Starting point is 01:58:50 yo, fuck this. We're going to fuck up the whole shit. You're going to set on fire. We're going to blast on shit. Now, if he had somebody fucking filming that for Instagram,
Starting point is 01:58:57 for Facebook Live, for YouTube, he would have been the top trending topic from now until the end of the year. Let me tell you something. If we would have fucked it up, no the year. Let me tell you something.
Starting point is 01:59:07 If you would have fucked it up, no, I'm going to tell you something. And now we're going to be more valuable than any fucking... Birdman was the top trending topic without putting a hand on somebody. So it's either or. It's either you handle it intelligently or you say it from the beginning. Fuck y'all. I'm pissing on y'all carpet. Yo, listen. That's it.
Starting point is 01:59:24 I promise you this. I promise you this. Hold on. Hit me up. I don't think you on your carpet. Yeah, listen Don't question me you know that black just did an interview with his own hometown and they said so, you know What's up with you a little bump and niggas that you know I really wouldn't fuck with that nigga this thing's clearly crazy that is the worst thing like if I'm on your album that's the worst thing I want you to say about me niggas said I couldn't even work for them and he said that in his picture and this nigga's dead yo hold on something I got intimate knowledge about though. Okay. Jeezy, Gucci Mane. Alright, let's get back to that, because that's deeper.
Starting point is 02:00:09 That's deep and I want to go there. But wait, wait, wait. Say what you said. What the shit? With Papa Keith. Kevin's involved. He got questions. I'm just saying that, yo. I'm talking about to see the other people. What they say about us, man. He said, look, they said, they said,
Starting point is 02:00:24 yo, so I got on the album He said anybody you excited about having on the album first of this first answer was hard Anybody you excited about having on your album they can say nah Like it was just it, right? And I'm like, all right, cool, I get that. I get that. Like, you know, for all, all, all artists, I get that.
Starting point is 02:00:53 But nah, I don't really get that. Like, you shitting on Lil' Bop, Extinction, Travis Scott, Offset, everyone's a rocker. I don't think, I feel like you shouldn't Take that part personally Because these Street niggas With dirty fingernails I got a
Starting point is 02:01:09 My shit dirty right now He said He said He said In Florida We don't pull on coattails We don't do that You know what I mean
Starting point is 02:01:17 And that's like Really part of the culture You know what I mean So there's some Has to be some Part of respect To the culture To make him who he is
Starting point is 02:01:24 You know what I mean And that's why He has the kind of Fan base who he is you know what I mean and that's why he has the kind of fan base that he is you know what I mean I feel like nobody I don't want to think you're gonna be like dick riding nobody yeah yeah but you don't gotta you know listen yo listen ass you're one of my favorite engineers I'm on your dick no it's that's black we're not in the streets's, um, we're not fucking in the streets of Pompano, fucking. No, man.
Starting point is 02:01:48 He's not in the streets of Pompano. What I meant. He said this in the 90s. What station? Yeah, what is that station? 103.5, the beach. He said that. Yo, listen.
Starting point is 02:01:59 I think Lil Bump gets him. I think Lil Bump understands. Who's Lil Bump? Lil Pump. Lil Pump. I said Bump. He said Bump. He said Bump. That. I think Lil Bump understands. Lil Pump. I said Bump. He said Bump. He said Bump. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:07 I said Bump. Lil Bump. I was like, Lil Bump. My bad. Can I make my question? Yo, yo, yo. Let me do this. Let me do this.
Starting point is 02:02:14 I think Lil Bump understands his ego and understands his sarcastic or his personality. But if I'm one of the hottest dudes coming out of Florida, and I work with another hottest dude coming out of Florida, and this guy goes on one of the biggest stations in Florida, and they say to him, are you excited about anybody on your project? And you say, nah. And then they say, well you excited about anybody on your project? And you say, nah. And then they say, well, who do you have on the project?
Starting point is 02:02:48 Because Papa Keef is good. Papa Keef is good. I don't know if Papa Keef acts first. Which question he asks first? And he says, so you got a little bump. And he goes, I probably wouldn't even work with that nigga. My nigga. He's keeping it too real. You you gotta calm down you're offending your own society like
Starting point is 02:03:12 that's like let me go on six telling y'all let's go to war and didn't as we go to war say man I don't like your shoe I'm sorry Alright so first of all I just want to let everybody know I went to the bathroom But I came out with this Cause I'm with y'all niggas And I'm hygienic And I washed my hands
Starting point is 02:03:30 Second of all Sis got pure red all over there I appreciate that But now this is reminiscent of When Gucci Mane came out With his so icy song With Jeezy on it Nah I gotta disagree with Jeezy on it.
Starting point is 02:03:45 Nah, I gotta disagree with you. No, this is worse. No, no, no. This is worse. And by the way, this is what's up. All you rap niggas, please stop coming with the little and the young in front of your name. But they are little. I don't give a fuck if you're midget. I don't care
Starting point is 02:04:08 if you're this foot tall. If you're this foot tall, please come to something else. Make a pool stick cube pork chop X. I don't care what you come with, but just stop with the little and young in front of your name, man. It's too much. It's too corny. Motherfuckers
Starting point is 02:04:23 been doing it for too long. If you're big, you're dying. If you're young, you're dying. If you're little, you're dying. Just stop all that shit. Come with something else, man. Call yourself Mike something, fucking whatever your name is.
Starting point is 02:04:35 Please stop it. All right, let me go back. Mike Ciroc. Now, there was a point in time where, and I was talking about, it's very reminiscent to me, my viewpoint. Gucci Mane comes out with this where, and I was talking about, it's very reminiscent to me, my viewpoint. Gucci Mane comes out with this record, So Icy, that has Young Jeezy on it. Young Jeezy has connections with BMF.
Starting point is 02:04:56 He's got connections with Bad Boy. Who are we talking about? I don't know what I'm talking about. We're talking about Jeezy. Gucci Mane and Jeezy. Okay, hold on. Let's get back to that because Jeezy's my man. Mine too. Gucci's my man too.
Starting point is 02:05:04 Mine too. So we did man too. Mine too. So we did Kodak Black and Evil. Okay, so bottom line, Kodak Black and Evil. Kodak, I feel like he needs just a little training.
Starting point is 02:05:13 You know, you have Orlando holla at me, you know. I'll sit you down. I'll show you how to do that because... Drink time school.
Starting point is 02:05:19 The thing about an interview is it's a win or loss. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. If you get there and that person wins, that person gets you on the edge, you automatically lose. But if you get there, that's the reason why when I go to an interview, I always take over the interview. I let them talk over so much. Listen, they can be wanting to talk about my toe so bad.
Starting point is 02:05:41 But I'm going to be like, yo, my nigga, do you understand? I eat blue ices. And they be like, what the fuck is blue ice I'm like that's exactly what you were thinking about finally I changed the whole set but I'm experienced
Starting point is 02:05:51 I'm experienced nigga I don't talk about what you wanna talk about I talk about what the fuck I wanna talk about that's when I'm interviewing when they interviewing me take control
Starting point is 02:06:01 so I would love to do that Buju Bonton is released I didn't realize how important booze you was I mean everybody from little Duvall the puff daddy posted booze you home you gotta stop taking that hair it man you are you are you are fucked up right now. The chicken wings, man. You got the itis. You got the itis before you came in.
Starting point is 02:06:28 But Buju Bantam, I didn't realize how big Buju Bantam is. Anybody else realize that? Oh, absolutely. He's a legend. At one point, there were maybe three artists that seemed like they were following
Starting point is 02:06:43 in the footsteps of... Bob Marley. Did I say that? Yeah. So Sizzler is one. Sizzler. Sizzler was absolutely one. Shabba Raps.
Starting point is 02:06:50 Now, did you get your views with Sizzler? Yeah. Garnet Silk. Garnet Silk, but he passed. Right.
Starting point is 02:06:56 And Buju. Now, Buju had a beautiful transformation to the dude who was like, and listen. And Buju was selling cocaine, right?
Starting point is 02:07:02 Let's make some noise for him selling cocaine. Allegedly. Allegedly. Alleg some noise so he copped out okay so who to me will never ever if Kevin Hart can't host the Oscars boo-joo can't hold shit because he had a whole record called Boom Bye Bye. Boom Bye Bye. Bazzi boy, man. Bazzi boy, yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:29 Right, which is all about killing homosexual men. But now, once again, that was the early 90s. That was the early 90s. You can't get away with that right now. No, no, no. Listen, they gon' eat it. You know what's crazy? You know what's crazy?
Starting point is 02:07:43 Let me just tell you something. I'm not done yet, but go ahead. I will pass it right back to you. Let me just crazy about Jamaica. Is Jamaica has so much of a bad homosexuality. Is that, I bet you, in two or three years, Jamaica will be the number one homosexual capital of the world. I think so.
Starting point is 02:08:02 That's what happens. If you hate somebody white, your daughter's coming home with a white boy. Named Jonathan. So you think it's karma. It always is. If you hate a Jewish, you hate Jewish people.
Starting point is 02:08:14 You don't have a Jewish baby. You have a grandbaby. What they do. What they think. If you hate black people, your daughter's coming home with a bohemian that only wear flip flops. And motherfucking swim shoes. That's all he wears.
Starting point is 02:08:35 So, I just tell you, that's why you never should hate nobody. Like, never hate nobody. I remember Puerto Rico was like that. Like, Puerto Rico was like huge on... Like, yo, you know. No, no, no. And then now they have gay conventions in Puerto Rico now. I kid you not. I think Jamaica's going to come.
Starting point is 02:08:53 I'm sorry, Jamaica's, because I love y'all. I'm sorry, but I'm saying it's the karma. I mean, just look at New York City. Just look at so many places. Make some noise for no hate. Yeah, make some noise For no hate Whoever you hate Is gonna come back to you man
Starting point is 02:09:08 So you know Boojiball John man Boom bye bye You know Now listen Big up you Booj What I wanted to say Cause I don't wanna leave him
Starting point is 02:09:16 On that note Is that He had such a transformation That went along The lines of a Bob Marley He started to grow out his dreads He became Rasta He had songs like Untold Stories.
Starting point is 02:09:27 So much of what he did in his last part of the career that we had the chance to hear was different from the first part. So I hope that as a world and a society, we don't hold him to that first part. There never is. And here are messages that he started to give, and I know that he will continue to give
Starting point is 02:09:42 after his release. No, they're never going to give him those props. They're Continue to give After his release Nah they're never Going to give him those props They're going to make sure That he goes down With that like that I'm just saying This is America
Starting point is 02:09:50 Not niggas though Niggas Not niggas This is America Who you think Is he deported Yeah He's in Jamaica
Starting point is 02:09:58 He's in Jamaica So that means he's deported Right We'll see what happens With that But I got a question Trump ain't letting him Back in
Starting point is 02:10:04 Nah Cause I heard what you said Do you think Who you think was bigger he's deported, right? We'll see what happens with that. But I got a question real quick. Trump ain't letting him back in. Nah. Because I heard what you said. Do you think, who you think was bigger career-wise, Shabba Rex or Buju Bantam? Because I know you went
Starting point is 02:10:14 straight from Bob Marley to Buju. Well, Buju is about to be... But then was Shabba Rex first? Buju about to be the big male. And he mainstreamed into like, you know, the crossover
Starting point is 02:10:23 from Jamaica to America. All right, so so listen back in that period of time Shaba made bigger records because of what he did with
Starting point is 02:10:31 crossover artists like Johnny Hill look at his accent coming out you hear it a little bit walk away walk away walk away
Starting point is 02:10:38 it comes out on the stream and also too one of Shaba's biggest records was with Maxi Priest. Of course. So he had a bigger impact commercially to bring people into reggae.
Starting point is 02:10:52 But what I'm saying is what Buju did creatively as an artist followed more along the path of a Bob Marley. Right. Based upon what he was trying to get across to the masses. Shabba wanted to make people dance and whine. Buju got to a place where... Cultural impact. Right, so he started out as like an 18 year old with what he knew, because that's what he was fit.
Starting point is 02:11:15 So listen, if you grow up in a Spanish speaking country, you're gonna speak Spanish. Nobody can blame you for speaking Spanish and not speaking Chinese. You wasn't exposed to to Chinese that's what I was trying to make you clarify whether you went from Bob Marley to would you in the sense of just just music or if you were saying he was the next thing after Bob Marley because I was saying shababo was before, and Shabo was pretty big with the crossover.
Starting point is 02:11:47 Once Buju became Rasta, and his growth went into it. Howdy, Celeste. Howdy, Celeste. Big up, Buju. Welcome home. Also, we're going to get into this real quick.
Starting point is 02:11:58 OT Genesis and Nipsey Hussle had the same bra with the same person. Same dude had the same shirt. No, OT and Nipsey didn't wear the same shirt. OT and Nipsey wasussle had the same bra with the same person. Same dude had the same shirt. No, O.T. and Nipsey, they were wearing the same shirt. O.T. and Nipsey was wearing the same shirt. So the dude approached O.T. thinking he was Nipsey, and O.T. Genesis swung on him. Hold on real quick.
Starting point is 02:12:14 And then they ran into Nipsey outside. You confused the two of them. They both had on plaid shirts. I see the video. Yeah, but one is taller than the other one. It doesn't matter. You'll be drunk. You'll be drunk. You've done that before. We see you walk out there. I don't flash is I lost the joy that I had. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:45 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:45 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:46 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:46 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:47 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:47 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:48 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it.
Starting point is 02:12:53 That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. That's it. definitely don't want to talk about uh two people i like and i respect but what i want to say is um the grass is never green on the other side and sometimes even when the grass is green on other sides because the grass is fake so so so um i don't know i don't know what it is because i don't like to read the blogs when it comes to relationships
Starting point is 02:13:26 but if I could give a little bit of advice as a person who's been through probably what Cardi B and Offset is going through, if that's your spouse if that's your person that you're in love with either way no one wants to be disrespected but if you can make it
Starting point is 02:13:42 work and you can seem to be there for your child because there's nothing better than you know two parents growing up together and you know again i know i'm media but i don't want to be involved in anything you guys personally because i have my own personal life i'm just giving advice and showing some love and showing some respect as well you know i notice i'm not you know speaking about them in vain or no crazy way but if y'all can make it work for make it work for the children I'm sure for the child rather I'm sure that's the right thing to do so you know I wish y'all the best you know and Sonny wants to make a stripper wax museum so
Starting point is 02:14:22 you want dead strippers in the wax museum. Well, the whole story, the conversation started from KOD. King of Diamonds. KO Diamonds is closed. Sister recommended making a hip-hop museum. You said, let's make a half stripper. Listen, there's no way. With wax museum. Listen, there's no way you can make a museum out of KODs
Starting point is 02:14:44 without having all those classic strippers. Tim Drill. Tim Drill is still alive. What I'm saying is they had 200 to 300 girls in there a day. Some of them girls are dead. Some of them girls are dead. When you're stripping, you're doing some bullshit. No, hold on.
Starting point is 02:15:02 Not all strippers go to college. Never heard of this before in Listen, listen, listen. Listen guys, hear the point. Not all strippers go to college. Some of them are dying out there. I'm not saying all strippers go to heaven. All I'm saying is All I'm saying is
Starting point is 02:15:20 All I'm saying is All I'm saying is All I'm saying is that for the ones that are no longer there, we're gonna make wax people out of them. This sounds like 2 by Last Minute. Where you can still take pictures with them. You can still get a lap dance without them moving. Wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 02:15:40 I'm gonna get your head dance. Can you take it down? How does that work? We can get down to the SWC and go to the business. Okay. Sonny, Sonny, I just want to let you know right now, we went to therapy earlier. He's not that dude that will put that on his list, though. Do you have it from one to a... I think this is it. Okay.

Starting point is 02:17:42 huge drop. That's the hugest record in the hugest United States. Yes. ZZ. Kodak. Kodak Black. And by the way, he didn't want to work with Travis Scott or...
Starting point is 02:17:52 He didn't want to work with nobody. He didn't want to work with nobody. He said he didn't even like that song. The Mo Bamba? Mo Bamba. Unfortunately, and nowadays, we know that record. That's what I'm saying, you know that record. We know the words. That is a Vi record.
Starting point is 02:18:24 That is a Vi record. Yeah, that's Vi. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record. That's a good record.

Starting point is 02:21:27 uh Swiss Beast they just had a release for their uh video for Echo fantastic um they rented out a place
Starting point is 02:21:35 in uh I believe in New York City I'm not sure and they playing that so big that up let's make some noise for that and last but not least
Starting point is 02:21:44 uh we're gonna end it on sports. Enjoying. I don't think I've ever seen a brotherhood that I actually respect, actually honored, and actually believed like I do LeBron James
Starting point is 02:21:56 and Dwyane Wade. Dwyane Wade, who I see a lot out here. Dwyane Wade, whose wife sunned me personally she put her head on my hand
Starting point is 02:22:07 and I've been going to the store to get cigars ever since Gabrielle she's married to a guy
Starting point is 02:22:14 that's my husband yeah I've been going to the store to get now ladies ever since but I loved the compassion I love the union
Starting point is 02:22:22 brotherhood I love the brotherhood I love the brotherhood I love the fact that we can play with each other we play against excuse me we play against
Starting point is 02:22:30 each other at first realize that we like each other as people realize you know what let's try to get some money together get some money together separate again
Starting point is 02:22:39 get some money together again separate again and see each other and still be like yo my dude. And then they took off the shirt. It was like they planned it.
Starting point is 02:22:48 It was beautiful. Because if you look at, I was trying to, no, no, I tried to read their words because I tried to, I'm trying to act like I'm a fake whisperer.
Starting point is 02:22:55 What's that shit called? A word whisperer. A basketball whisperer. So I was like, I was doing like, I was like, and they didn't say, you could tell like,
Starting point is 02:23:02 Dwayne said, this is my last game in Miami and Broadway. Let me get that. You could tell, like, Dwayne said, this is my last game in Miami and Broadway. Let me get that. You know, in L.A. against you guys. And let me get your jersey. And he was like, yeah, boy, I want your shit too. Like, genuine, like, friendship and genuine, like, fans of each other.
Starting point is 02:23:18 Fans of each other. Like, yo, nigga, if I'm a game, mine. Let me paint the picture, though. As a hardcore Laker fan, I am. So this game was tight the entire time. D-Wade had a very shitty first half. I watched the whole game. LeBron is hitting threes, like threes, like Steph Curry type threes.
Starting point is 02:23:37 This is in Miami? No, no, no. So it goes down to the wire where LeBron basically has to hit the winning shot And then guards D. Wade On his shot Trying to tie D. Wade can't get it up like he used to Pause
Starting point is 02:23:54 And it doesn't happen So the Miami Heat barely lose this game And now mind you On top of it all At that time they played a total of 30 games against each other. 15 wins for LeBron, 15 wins for D. Wade.
Starting point is 02:24:12 So whoever wins this last one wins the tiebreaker. Got bragging rights. And it's deep. It's deep. It's deep. So everything that went into this game was absolutely magnificent. And again, as a lifelong Laker fan, I absolutely loved watching this.
Starting point is 02:24:31 It was fantastic. D-Wade, again, had a fantastic, a beautiful second half. He was like vintage D-Wade. Everything he did was like, if you were a Miami Heat fan, you were so happy with his performance. Even if you were mad with the loss, you were like, yo, listen, you know what? Just to see it go down like that, it was a win. Fucking dope. A dope game.
Starting point is 02:24:54 Dope, man. Let's just make some noise. Yeah. Anything else? Yes, yes. I have something else. Yeah, please. All right.
Starting point is 02:25:04 This, being a part of this episode today, I just want to let you know, Eno, I have something else Alright This Being a part of this episode today I just want to let you know N.O. This was as big as Being on Rap City for me Oh That's what's up
