I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Ranchini. My mind was blown.
Starting point is 00:02:03 I'm Stephanie Young. This is love trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Yo, finally, we're here at Drink Chance at the fourth annual Black Effect podcast festival. Starting point is 00:02:37 It's going down, drink chance, fourth annual Black Effect, Black, Black, Black. Black Effect. Black.com slash podcast festival. hit maker after hit maker after hip maker and he is he is the guy
Starting point is 00:04:14 when you want to go to the guy and I I'm one million percent shit I need a hook for a mom I need a I need a I need a hit
Starting point is 00:04:26 I got you gang this guy this guy is the one and only and I do the key for you and in case you don't know what the fuck can we talk about we're talking about the one and only sweet
Starting point is 00:04:35 What's happening? What's happening? Yo, man. You, listen, I see the Richard Millie. I see it. I see it. It's fantastic. It's a big news, man. I'm trying to know what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:04:49 It's fantastic. Well, yo, okay. Oh, holy moly guacamole. You dropping a solo album. Yes, sir. Same difference. April 3rd. April 3rd.
Starting point is 00:05:03 So what made you want to drop a solo album? I ain't a lot of been wanting to drop it. It's just like, the timing of everything, you know, how everything was just happening. It's like, we've been in the game like a decade now, but it's like, I stayed in the studio, so it's like all these songs just piling up on my hard drive.
Starting point is 00:05:20 You know what I'm saying? Even Shrem Life One, it just kept us touring. Like, we couldn't even stop touring from Shrem Life One. Right. But yeah, it's just like, it's long overdue, but it's perfect timing, you know what I'm saying? Because a lot of it makes me reminisce of my own group, right?
Starting point is 00:05:40 I'm a part of Cabona Noriega. Hell yeah. Appreciate you paving away, too. And that's, but then I look at y'all and I'm like, damn, y'all doing, y'all doing what we wanted to do, right? Right? And let me, let me, let me, let me, um, manifest that. That's all right.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Thank you. Um, y'all are doing solo acts and then y'all staying together. Right. That shit is. It's like three of us. Yeah, that shit. That shit is like, whew.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Me and Mike, we talk about it. It's like Jordan Brands. When you say Mike Will. When you say Mike, Mike Will. Mike Will. Legend. So it's like Jordan brands. Like the Jordan 10 and Jordan 12.
Starting point is 00:06:23 It's like different Jordan. You got to keep dropping different ones. You know what I'm saying? They all great. Oh shit. I didn't realize that. For real. That's how we look at that.
Starting point is 00:06:32 You got to drop the 11s. You got to drop the 12. You got to draw the 10. Yeah. Oh. So. So, it's great. All right.
Starting point is 00:06:39 So, let me ask, because I'm, again, I had more success as a solo artist than I did as a, what's that she called? As a group. As a group. Is that something you worried about? Because, because, like, me, like, listen, I just celebrated Capone's 50th birthday. I went to his party. Let's make some noise for that.
Starting point is 00:07:06 I went to his party. I went and I celebrated it and I was so happy. But then again, I had to also think, like, you know, I had more success as a solo artist. Yeah. Is that something that you're worried about? Because me, I wasn't worried about it because my homie actually had my back. Like, he actually had my back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:36 He's right, which 100%. Yeah, he was like, he's not personal, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But you have the training wheels, too, because Pone got locked up when y'all released the first album, so you kind of felt like a solo artist
Starting point is 00:07:46 at a sense. I feel like you've done enough solo stuff. That's real. So is that something you worried about? With me, I wouldn't say worried about it. But, like, it's really that, like, I don't want to miss nothing. Because even when I was doing stuff
Starting point is 00:08:02 of Ray Shimmer, like, and we got Diamond songs, Ray Shrimmer. That's y'all. together that's my brother yeah i love that i love that i love that and black beetles is diamond some other shit yeah diamond that's crazy congr we got crazy success but then it's like even the songs that i did put out because we was making so many songs always to this day just making so many songs so we're dropping some of these songs and it's like my features going up as these songs are going up with the group you know what i'm pushing with the group me and jimmy together every day
Starting point is 00:08:32 shit shout out of shit hotel planes I see them good morning you know some good night you know what I'm saying we all together so it's like I love that while we're doing that these other songs on the side we're just working you know so I'm steady working like I'm catching plays left and right like boom
Starting point is 00:08:46 in the studio boom New York studio LA Australia wherever so the songs that we do with other artists them going up too so it's like damn that's just something that the fans made like damn they fucking with Swaley heavy too and it's like so it's like damn
Starting point is 00:09:02 I don't worry about the success level because it's like we already had success. Like even Sunflower Unforgettable is like that solo success, you know, that's Sway Lee, you know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? I look at it like we far from finish and like far from beginning, you know what I'm saying? Like it's crazy. Okay. So we have French Fontaine on here. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:24 French said, I'm looking at your homie. Your homie. I mean, everybody knows. I see a thousand. I see a thousand stories. I already know what you're about to say. I sent a thousand stories, you know what I'm saying? Friends said he didn't make a dollar.
Starting point is 00:09:41 See, I don't know nobody. CPAs or nothing, but that's a billion stream song. Plus, my bad. It might even be two, but I don't even know how many. Yeah, yeah. That's a huge. That's a huge record. I don't know the situation of their contract, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:09:55 But I know I got my percentage on that month. I wrote that one. Okay. Okay. I know I got my shit. I feel like everybody got their fair share of the song, you know what I'm saying? And that shit was going up while Black Beaters was going on. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:10:12 So shit was just going up. Like I got my fair share. The business was done, right? And shout out to French though on it. Like, he got his hands on the song. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, what's the true origin of that song? He's a big part.
Starting point is 00:10:25 It was like, I ain't got no bad blood on that song because. But for the record, that's my pen. You know what I'm saying? I don't even know why it's questions That's my opinion You can listen to it and hear it It's not good enough You know what I'm talking about talking to talk
Starting point is 00:10:39 You know what I'm saying I did that shit in my bedroom At the bottom of my bed I woke up that day They're black beetles You know what I said That was the next song I made You know what I brought it to Jimmy
Starting point is 00:10:49 Jimmy was focused on the album I was like Jim get on this song Because I felt strongly about that song I'm like this is one of the ones So initially I told Jimmy Hey bro do a verse on this is one of the ones He was locked in He was knocking down verses
Starting point is 00:11:01 one of the shrems boom I boom so my neighbor is Molly Maude he live across the street for me my house is like literally 20 feet from his so I always go to his studio too I'm cooking songs boom that song I'm playing on that so that song got left over there basically on his hard drives I said so somehow some way I don't know if it was through Jeremiah
Starting point is 00:11:23 or how it came about but French heard it you know what he recognized what caliber song it was he like he want to put a verse on it more Boom. Long story straight, he put a verse on it. Boom. I heard the song. I'm like, it's just fire. Like, they sound hard. You know what I'm saying? And I fuck with French. I grew up listening to French. You know what I'm saying? Everybody Waka, flogga. Lucci, man, you know what I'm saying? A lot of the greats. They grace to me from Mississippi. That's what I'm listening to.
Starting point is 00:11:47 I'm like, French Montana, Swaley. It's left field. I'm thinking this is why I'm about drop my album. My album going up and shit, boom, one. The key thing that made that song go up is $250,000 video. They finish shoot to this song. while I'm going around the world, you know what I'm in Germany and shit. Manican challenge. The first challenge were. Yeah, I was there freezing.
Starting point is 00:12:12 The whole world freezing. Yeah, I did the mannequin challenge. I was doing mannequin challenge too. I was with you. He did a little clip. I did it. I did. I did.
Starting point is 00:12:21 I did it. I did it. I did that. We got to drop a little clip of that. We got to cut into that clip. Yeah. We cut into that clip. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:12:32 So boom. The key component. that really like made my brain click $250,000 video in Africa with the kids, you know what I'm saying? I'm part Nigerian too, so I'm like, and I love making Afro, that's my natural rhythm. Afro beats.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Yeah, Afro, all that. Like, just anything with rhythm, like, I can do that in my sleep. So boom, that connected for me. I'm like, boom, man, take it to the moon, you know what I'm saying, but long story short, yeah, I wrote that shit. And it was just a great collab.
Starting point is 00:13:02 You know what I'm saying? It wasn't, it might not have been the fairest, way that the song came about. It wasn't the textbook way that it came about, you know what I'm saying? But it made sense. You know what I'm saying? But one thing I should have did is change the artwork, though. See, I was moved so fast.
Starting point is 00:13:17 If you look at the artwork, my face is not on the artwork. So people think, listeners, they're not like, oh, this is Frist Montanza. They might think he's singing that. Right. They might not know. That's Lesway Lee singing that, you know what I'm saying? But that's one thing that's kind of, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:34 and crazy. I ain't gonna lie to you. I ain't gonna lie to you. Crazy story. But that record went. That record went. Let's make some noise for that. Out of here.
Starting point is 00:13:45 And it's still. Still going. Still going. No, that record went. Thank you. Do you? All right. Cheers to that.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Yeah, let's cheer to that. Salute. Double diamond. All right. So, they grew up with that, motherfucker. His, his, his, his was crazy.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Super jup. Shot. Yeah. This was crazy. I had a record that was presented to me. And it was called Jigga, Jigga, that nigger, jigger. But it was originally called Nori, Nori, that nigger, Nori. And, oh, I regret it.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Do you regret giving that to French? Like, keep it real, keep it real. I ain't going to say, I regret it. But wasn't it to Jeremiah's, to start with, you wrote it or no? I think Jeremiah was going to do a verse on it. Me and Jeremiah was working up. You didn't know what was going to happen with the records. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:40 I just did it. It was another one of my 20, 300 songs. I'm just like, I love that record, you know what I? And I was going to come back to him just sitting with it. Actually, I got Wiz kid. I sent it to Wiz Kid first thing on Twitter. So I got the Wiz Kid verse too, you know what I'm saying? So Wiz Kid did a verse and then all that shit came about.
Starting point is 00:15:00 So it was like. And Fritz heard that shit. He was like, I ain't playing. Press the gas. You know what I'm saying? And that was a smart move. you know what I'm saying? Yeah, smart move.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Yeah. Make some noise for first to my tag. I got to give it. Now, I'm a person that's a group member. Mm-hmm. You are venturing out to be a solo artist. Get your ass in then. This is my son.
Starting point is 00:15:36 That's my son. That's my son. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He don't come out for enough. for nobody. When he said, he's, wait, leave, here. All right. So, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:50 He do music, too? I think he wants to. I think he wants to. And you know what? I'm going to support him. He had to have to have to make back clean for sure. But, you, it's hard. It's hard being a, it's hard being a part of a group.
Starting point is 00:16:11 and then being a solo artist. Yeah. Like, I know. I won't, when you said, no. I know, I know you. Like, all of these people here probably won't know.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Yeah. But what made you want to do that? It made you... It's just... I think it's just it's stuff that's left unsaid. You know what I'm saying? In the group, we say certain stuff.
Starting point is 00:16:41 we touch certain topics and then my solo projects they touch in certain topics you know what I'm saying I'm just showing people versions of me they never seen before you know what I'm saying
Starting point is 00:16:52 like I'm bringing them to my mind and shit and it's like everything that we put out together it's like it connected you know what I'm saying people growing up with this music
Starting point is 00:17:00 like over a decade of music like if you ask like 10 people like yo what you think about Swayley what you think about Ray Shimmer what's your favorite song for now like at this point like they might all
Starting point is 00:17:11 say a different song, you know what I'm saying? So it's like, they might say a solo sunflower, you know what I'm saying? They might say, come get her, you know what I'm saying? Like, who knows? Like, who knows? Like, I don't know. It's like, I've done it before, you know what I'm saying? Too, like, I stepped out solo tours, post Malone's like, and I love being in a group
Starting point is 00:17:28 too because like, if I'm tired, I didn't did all my dances, boom, I'm staying, I'm tired as a motherfucker. Jim gonna come through full energy, you know what I'm saying? Just do a front flip, turn them up while I'm getting my little chill moments. It's like you always got somebody you can bounce back off of, you know what I'm saying? But it's like... Yeah, let him fix it. Yeah, because I see you.
Starting point is 00:17:46 I'm like... Yeah, because I see you. I love this. I could identify with you so much, bro. Yeah. Yeah, no, no, no, I identify with it because... The EFM probably knows this, like, um, the reason why I went solo was because my partner got locked up.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Right. Mm. But the reason why I see you going. No, I get what you saying. Yeah. It's like people moving at different paces. A different, you know what I'm saying? That's definitely a thing.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Like, people move at different paces. And my pace is just like Bugatti fast, you know what I'm saying? So even while brother taking his moments to do it, he got to do working on his projects, I can still be feed people. You got to be who you are. You know what I'm saying? Still be connected with people, you know what I'm saying? Giving them feast, giving them thanksgivings.
Starting point is 00:18:42 You know what I'm saying? And it's like, it was a lot of moments when I should have had my project turned in. It's like, and I switched gears and I focus on my group because that's my main focus, you know what I'm saying? Ray Shimmer. But of course, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's spilling over to this. Hey, Shway Lee. You're like, you know, Slim Jimmy got hella fans too.
Starting point is 00:19:00 They pop out. Slim Jimmy, we love you, you know what I'm saying? But Swet Lee big too. Now we got the biggest song in the world, bigger than Michael Jackson, Sunflower. You know what I'm saying? That's like me just. on a Wednesday pulling up on Post Malone
Starting point is 00:19:14 just working you know what I'm saying so it's like yeah we're doing it all you know what I'm saying what am I going to spin back with the greatest hits Ray Shremmer
Starting point is 00:19:25 kids Bob Brady Shremard you guys and y'all both deserve it and um was big him up because he's uh he's also running too who
Starting point is 00:19:34 um Slim oh yeah yeah yeah he's locked in he's locked in he locked in he made one of the crazy songs other day like after he ran the 5K he just came home he ran a 5k
Starting point is 00:19:45 and a brickwell like he hell of people showed up and they just ran like five miles then he came home and made a song he's like bro is one of the greatest songs I told him this one of the greatest songs I heard you making a long time like he's in a different space like he worked on his project too right so it's really like
Starting point is 00:20:01 so yeah both got solo oh yeah he's good yeah he's going crazy I think it feels natural for you guys I don't think it feels unnatural I've been working separately and doing things at the same time so Right. Like on the, on Shrem 3, we had a triple disc, you know what I'm saying? He had his solo songs. I had my solo songs and then we had the group songs. Right. So it's like, yeah, it's something we've been like teasing for a minute. Like a big boy and Andre thing. Exactly, exactly. Yeah. Let's just call it that. Exactly. They might be the new outcast. Let's just. For sure. For sure. Appreciate it. In our show, we get people out. They're from. flowers. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:20:43 We want to give you your flowers. We want to make sure that you know how important you are to hip-hop. And Snoop's dog said it's better than a Grammy. Yeah, he said
Starting point is 00:21:01 it's better than a Grammy because it comes from our people. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, let you pull the rose up. Yeah. No, no, no, no, you're going to take it with you. That's all the place case. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:14 So, we're going to also play a game with you. Oh, we got quick time? Yeah, quick time. Ah, y'all fucking know. Send whatever you got right now. Yeah, Snoop Dog said it's better than the Grammy because it comes from our people. And I sincerely, I sincerely appreciate what you doing, man. Thank you, bro.
Starting point is 00:21:36 I'm Lori Siegel, and I'm mostly human. I go beyond the headlines with the people building our future. This week, an interview with one of the most influential figures in Silicon Valley, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. I think society is going to decide that creators of AI products bear a tremendous amount of responsibility to products we put out in the world. From power to parenthood. Kids, teenagers, I think they won't need a lot of guardrails around AI. This is such a powerful and such a new thing. From addiction to acceleration.
Starting point is 00:22:04 The world we live in is a competitive world. And I don't think that's going to stop, even if you did a lot of redistribution. You know, we have a deep desire to. excel and be competitive and gain status and be useful to others. And it's a multiplayer game. What does the man who has extraordinary influence over our lives have to say about the weight of that responsibility? Find out a mostly human.
Starting point is 00:22:26 My highest order bit is to not destroy the world with AI. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. A silver 40 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene. From IHeart Podcasts. and Best Case Studios. This is Rorschach, murder at City Hall. How could this have happened in City Hall?
Starting point is 00:22:55 Somebody tell me that. July 2003, Councilman James E. Davis arrives at New York City Hall with a guest. Both men are carrying concealed weapons. And in less than 30 minutes, both of them will be dead. Everybody in the chambers docked. A shocking public murder. I scream, get down, get down.
Starting point is 00:23:22 Those are shots. Those are shots get down. A charismatic politician. You know, he just bent the rules all the time. I still have a weapon. And I could shoot you. And an outsider with a secret. He alleged he was a victim of flat down.
Starting point is 00:23:38 That may or may not have been political. That may have been about sex. Listen to Roershack, murder at City Hall, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. If you're trying to keep up with everything happening on and off the court, We've got you covered on the podcast, flagrant and funny. You look at the top four number one seeds.
Starting point is 00:24:01 What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. Obviously, Yukon is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament. But I'll be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas. Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to Yukon and that right after that would be Texas. S&C is so deep and so thick and just about everything. It really is annoying.
Starting point is 00:24:25 So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU. Only ones that could possibly upset Yukon. On Flagrin and Funny, we're giving our unfiltered takes on the biggest moments the conversations everyone's having. So whether your bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you. Listen to Flakron and Funny with Carrie Champion and Jamel Hill on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Presented by Capital One, founding partner of IHeart Women's Sports. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone's, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case.
Starting point is 00:25:17 I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Gregalespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHard. Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What you're doing is fucking amazing, man. Like, I love, I love it.
Starting point is 00:26:06 I want to continue, I want to, like, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, I want to champion it. That's what that. Damn, I like that. You know, you knew what I was about to say. We've been doing this a long time. We want to champion it because you guys are motherfucking legends, man. You guys are continue to do what with me and EFN want to continue with hip hop.
Starting point is 00:26:33 That's big. Thank you, man. And we want to salute that, man. You know what I'm saying? We're going to continue to do that, man. Just have some fun right now. Now we're going to have some fun, all right? This is our drinking game.

Starting point is 00:45:44 I'm Lori Siegel, and I'm mostly human. Kids, teenagers, I think they will need a lot of guardrails around AI.
Starting point is 00:46:09 this is such a powerful and such a new thing. From addiction to acceleration. The world we live in is a competitive world, and I don't think that's going to stop, even if you did a lot of redistribution. We have a deep desire to excel and be competitive and gain status and be useful to others. And it's a multiplayer game. What does the man who has extraordinary influence over our lives have to say about the weight of that responsibility? Find out I'm mostly human.
Starting point is 00:46:35 My highest order bit is to not destroy the world with AI. Listen to Mostly Human on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your favorite shows. It really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU. Only ones that could possibly upset Yukon. On Flagrant and Funny, we're giving our unfiltered takes on the biggest moments of the conversations everyone's having.
Starting point is 00:47:30 So whether your bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you. Starting point is 00:54:33 Like I pulled up on thug we was recording the same studio. It was a drama studio at the time. DJ drama yeah. This nigga thug came in 15 minutes. He did the verse on thosomore. Wow. Bro this nigga walked in the booth. Come in ho. Miss Lato. I got birdies. Crows, Liberty B when I jump on a dick. I'm like, boo-hoo, leg-eget-e-e-e-e-eat-e-e. I'm like, this nigga, the nigger did this verse in, I kid you not.
Starting point is 00:55:07 29 minutes, maybe even less than that. He did that verse for Nicky Minnard's, me, Ray Shimmer, Nikki Minnard's thawson-a-movah. He did that verse in like 20 minutes. He came out of the booth, kicked his feet up. This thing's a legend. I'm like, yo, then he did offshore from you. Like, we, that's one of the whole.
Starting point is 00:55:27 hardest to ever do music. Like, Thug, like, shout out Thug. For sure. Talk a little. Make some noise. Out of here. You got to, like, literally stand ovation for that guy.
Starting point is 00:55:42 He's, like, to this day, he won the hardest, for sure. All right, we're almost done. Two more. No, I can go out of day. I ain't a lot. Kendrick or Drake? Come on, bro. That's great.
Starting point is 00:55:57 That's a. That's a, like, we got to take a shot, like. Amen. Sure. Amen. We got to take a shot. I can't even get between so much, bro. Man.
Starting point is 00:56:08 I can't even get between that because, like, for me, like, they both great. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, Kendrick's lyrical ability is crazy. Phenomenal, man. Like, this nigga really just step in the booth and do that shit. Yeah. This nigga Drake got 6,545 hits. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:29 You know what I'm saying? Like, a real hiss you can jump in your car and, like, turn on and just vibe out to. So I got to go, yeah, I got to get a little drunker. Yeah. On now on the show, both greats. You know what I'm saying? Titans, real Titans, for sure. I ain't where the last one.
Starting point is 00:56:48 You got this, Chico. Loyity or respect? Loyalty or respect? I feel like respect because to be loyal. you gotta respect somebody. You're not gonna be loyal to somebody you don't respect. So,
Starting point is 00:57:07 both of them go hand in hand. So what are you picked? Yeah, so we safe. Okay. So, yeah. So now we gotta get into the new album. Let's talk about this joint. I know that they,
Starting point is 00:57:24 yo, I saw the features was crazy on there. Crazy, crazy. So when did you start working on this album? basically this album I've been working on, you can save my whole career because some of the songs are like... They go back like that?
Starting point is 00:57:38 Yeah. But you knew that those records are special. Exactly. Right. Some of my early cookups. And I sprinkled them in there along with some new shit and then some...
Starting point is 00:57:50 I mix it all in there. So why do you think now was the right time to put out this project? Now it's just the time that I was able to sit down and just give them just like Swaley, like, personal just to me. Because, like,
Starting point is 00:58:08 we gave them all the Ray Shimmer songs up until now. And it's just like, I was just like, damn, my career is so unique. Like, I don't think there's urban artists. They're, like, have billion stream songs, the biggest in the world and no solo album, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:58:27 Right, yeah. So my career right now is, like, it's crazy. I'm just connecting. the dots and now it's just like all the singles just grew with the people and all the songs just grew with the people and it's just like now i'm just really like showing what i really do you know what i'm saying so i sat down and you know what i'm saying i mixed the songs mastered them volume one you know what i'm saying like it's just a whole new chapter but it's like now i was just able to
Starting point is 00:58:57 let all the songs just live with people let them understand like somewhat what you're what I do. And then, like, now it's just, like, I'm gonna show y'all, like, what I really do, you know what I'm saying? Like, you produced on the record? Like, you produced? I did do some production on this, on this new album, yeah. All of it?
Starting point is 00:59:13 No, not everything, but, like, maybe, like, I say, like, four songs I did personal production on. But I fuck what, like, my circuit is, like, some of the greatest producers in the world. Who are some of the, like, standout producers on here? I didn't, I didn't. I got London on track on some R&B shit. Like, I got London on track. And that's my bro. We've been going back and forth for a long time,
Starting point is 00:59:34 like trying to get just the right song. Right. So we got it on my album. So it's like, I don't mean with bro, like, years upon years, just like cooking up. Right. So we got the song, me and London on track. Then we got like just all my little homies.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Like I'll be cooking up with ear drummers, of course. Of course. Metro helped me on the album. Oh, shit. I see you got Diplow on here? I do got Diplo. What's that about? Diplo, man.
Starting point is 01:00:01 Me and him got one of the biggest songs in the world with Ily Golden. Oh. F-L-O-S-E. And DiFlo, he grew up in T-Bal-O-2, so we grew up in the same city. Wow. So he used to be playing basketball on the north side, which is one of the roughest cities in Mississippi. So he in the hood. Right.
Starting point is 01:00:21 He hooping on his court in Mississippi, like, white boy, like, cool-ass white boy. Like, he's in the hood, like, one of the only white boys on his court. hooping with all the niggas like bro that niggas a legend like me and diplo we got um we got um tuplo game we call it tuplo game yeah diplo's crazy out of this world he's out of here so he's from the same he grew up in the same city I grew up in
Starting point is 01:00:44 that's nuts no way and he came up out here too in Broward I believe or didn't he didn't he? I wouldn't be surprised didn't Diplow like come up I don't know this nigga he came out of the hood like everybody loved Diplow like yeah I could his phone he did but that's crazy man I wouldn't even be surprised
Starting point is 01:00:59 like he's good in every hood like Oh yeah, my features, I got on the album, I got, I got Nav. Nav went crazy on the album. Melody, fucking legend. Like, that nigga, I love Nav. I got Nav. I got Janay Akul. She actually...
Starting point is 01:01:17 She's on this album. This album, crazy. Crazy. After Sativa, it's just like, you know what I'm saying? We got to keep this going. Like, me and Janay, we got to make a whole album. You know what I'm saying? It's like...
Starting point is 01:01:30 That would be nuts. Me and Jeney album, can you like imagine that shit? Like a duets album and shit. You feel me? Duet like on some opera shit. Yeah, yeah. She got that angelic voice like she's an icon to me like. Janay Post Malone, I got, damn, I said French Montana.
Starting point is 01:01:53 Wait, who I'm missing? I miss it. Oh yeah, Richie Kee. I'm getting your Richard Kidd Friday. Yeah. So boom. Yeah, it's stacked up. It's stacked up.
Starting point is 01:02:02 Where do you think, you think Mississippi or Atlanta gave you more of your style? Just really life in general, because, like, me, like, I lived a lot of places. Like, I lived in Maryland, even in Maryland. Like, my mom was in, my mom was in military. Oh, so you was moving around? So I had to make friends and move, you know what I'm saying? That's a lifestyle. So Maryland, Texas.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I lived in Texas. I lived in Mississippi. Mississippi, like my main, I lived there, like, a lot of my time, you know what I'm saying? Like six years, seven years, such shit. So that's where I really started understanding, like, the direction I needed to start moving in, like, damn, understanding life. But at what age did you start thinking about music as, like, future?
Starting point is 01:02:48 She, 11. For real. You were in Mississippi? I was in Texas, actually. Texas. You know what song was going crazy, though? Like, Slim Jimmy, he was already, like, poetic with the shit. So he was
Starting point is 01:03:02 rapping this shit. And then still tipping Mike Williams. Mike Jones. Mike Jones. I said Mike Williams. That's a liquor's telling you, Mike. Mike Jones.
Starting point is 01:03:16 That one fucking still tipping. That shit was like, that record still hoot banging. That shit was like, nigga that shit like connected. I was making beats though like in Texas. Like this nigga name King James. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:29 I had Frutie Loops too. And I had the early Free loose like two Making beats My beats was ass My beats was trash The most trash beats you can imagine Like
Starting point is 01:03:42 That was for you guys For you to rhyme on? For me Like I was learning the software Just like sitting down with computers Fat back ass computers So yeah And then I just started like learning how to produce
Starting point is 01:03:58 And Jimmy was rapping. And this is in Texas, though, no. Texas, your Army Bay shit. The Army Bay shit. Shy Slim Jimmy. Oh, so you guys are never going to separate as a group. No, hell no.
Starting point is 01:04:13 We're doing like the Backstreet Boys. You know how the Backstreet Boys, every two years they got a tour like In Sync. Yeah. Every two, Justin Timberlake, every couple years, they reunite. Yeah, but blood is different than that because you guys. Yeah, that's what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:04:28 Like, this shit never ending. Right, right. Right, right. We're going to be like, um, we're going to be like Elton John. Like, you know how Elton John still perform like, nigger like, man, I'm having great dreads, nigga still doing this shit. I mean, look, I'm still here and I got white-ass beer, so you good, you good.
Starting point is 01:04:51 You inspire me right now. I'm still drinking and saying make some notes. You good, you good. I know I'm good. Like, you inspire me right now. You double diamond. in the hood. My dress and me,
Starting point is 01:05:04 Graham me. I don't got on time. So have you guys pass, well, I mean, I don't want to pass this project
Starting point is 01:05:11 because this project is obviously a big situation. Same difference. Have you guys been already, like, do you have a trajectory, like your solo,
Starting point is 01:05:19 his solo, the group? The way I see it and I don't want to spoil shit, I don't like to spoil surprise. Like,
Starting point is 01:05:28 if I see the movie and I'm chilling with somebody and they ain't seen the movie, I ain't going to spoil the surprise. But definitely I'm going to crank it up. And slim might come next. Group might come next.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Like, whatever feels best type shit. And one thing is your style, right, is to me is very unique. You specifically. I appreciate it. Yeah. Was there anything, any artist, anybody that you said, that you took something from that, that made you.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Because, you know, everybody's inspired by something. Nah, for real. Like, I might as, like, subconsciously, like, I used to ride the bus and listen to Lou Wayne. You know what I'm saying? That's why, like, it was a big topic the other day, like, about Lil Wayne. Like, man, I was, like, I was about to chime in, but I ain't really, like, I really want to just be too loud, but I used to ride the bus and listen to Lou Wayne and
Starting point is 01:06:28 shit, like, three peat. You know what I'm saying? but I don't know I probably like picked up a lot of stuff subconsciously like because my mom used to play like hella songs around the house and we have Apple music and shit so it's like I don't even know how to get these songs like I don't know how she playing these shit you know what I'm saying like but I'm taking them in I'm listening like damn you know what I'm saying but shit I don't really I think this shit is like it's just some new shit. It's just some like whole other
Starting point is 01:07:05 shit. But it comes subconsciously from all that shit I just took in growing up sitting in my fucking boxes like watching BET. You know what I don't really.
