And it's Drink Chats,
the motherfucking podcast.
Make some noise!
I'm drinking aqua hydrate.
You could tell I was hanging out with Puff, huh?
Yeah.
I gotta stop.
Obviously.
I only got six hours when I hang out with Puff. It's Dominican Day, everybody.
Make some noise!
Pat looked at me like noise Are you serious?
Yeah it's Independence Day I've been congratulating all Dominicans I know
So that was yesterday but
Today is Tuesday
When we release
So Tuesday the what?
The 28th
You got to drink your alcohol But yesterday it was Dominicans Independence Day So Tuesday the what? The 28th. Last day. End of the month.
Drink an aqua hydrate.
But yesterday, it was Dominicans Independence Day.
So why y'all niggas independent?
Y'all niggas need a country.
No, they don't need to be independent.
They became independent from failure.
They became independent from failure.
We are our own country.
God damn it.
We are our own country.
Haiti, we gave a little part to Haiti.
We gave a little part to Haiti.
Excuse me.
You guys are still slaves of Haiti. Relax. We gave you a little part to Haiti gave a little part to Haiti you guys are still slaves of Haiti
relax we gave you that little part
who's calling now
it's Karns
hold on put you on the podcast live
Karns and Chris what's going on brother
how you doing you on the drink test
make some noise
yo Karns
so I know you're a battle type of person.
I know you battle.
He was going to battle, rep, and run, wasn't he?
Yeah, yeah.
You battle, rep, and run.
What are you feeling, this Remy Ma, Nicki Minaj thing right now?
What are you feeling?
As far as speaking on the record, I will say that it's one of the highlights of 2017 so far.
Definitely some serious, I'm running for some serious balls on the table.
So, you know, we got a history with the Bronx and Queens that dates back to Chris and Shan.
So, you know, this is going to end up being a benchmark situation.
But what happens if Nicki doesn't respond?
I think, you know, the thing is, Nicki's in a tricky space right now.
You know what I mean?
You know, I got to just put it on the table that, you know,
Pap and Remy, they, you know, they definitely peoples.
So, you know, and Nicky's from Queens,
so I got to kind of like be really careful how I word this.
Tell me about it.
But I think, you know, DJ enough brought up a good point.
He said Big never responded to hit him up.
But he did. but he did with Who Shot Ya
but he did
but
and I had a conversation with Cuzzle
shout out to Q-Tip and he was like
but he was
Who Shot Ya and this and that
exactly
but he never named Pac
he never named Pac.
He never named Pac.
The closest he came to naming Pac
was a joint
that was supposed
to come out.
Always end up
dropping jewels
on drink champs.
That's right.
It was a joint
that J Dilla did
for,
that J D did
for Buster
that never came out
that was supposed
to be Biggie,
Nas, and Method Man,
and was supposed to be on the coming album.
And that's, we heard the verse later,
I think it was on Born Again,
where he was like, diamonds in the front,
some rooftop, dipping in lean with the banks,
and then you see who be the ugliest,
Brooklyn Loch Ness,
act the one, nigga want for test, that verse
was about Pac, obviously he ended it with
saying, I'll twist your body round and round
upside down, but he never really
that verse was
the only time he dissed Pac, was on that joint
it never came, it didn't come out
it didn't come out because it was so much
it was so
it was so much politics
at the time.
But even that, it was like, I could see Big not coming back on Pac because he felt like what Pac is accusing him for, Big, was innocent.
This is something totally different.
This is something that Nicki has to actually respond or she loses her real rap fans.
Do you not agree um well the thing is in my opinion and this is just my opinion how i looked at it i look at it like it being a uh it has like a
tablespoon of the pocket big and i feel like i got a tablespoon of 50 and jaw. You know what I'm saying?
I think the worst thing.
I got one more.
That's too low.
It's the feds.
The hip hop cops.
Hold on.
Repeat that.
Hello?
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. My bad. Your phone went out. Say that that. Hello? Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
My bad.
Your phone went out.
Say that again.
I'm sorry.
Or not.
It's the feds.
No, he didn't.
Yeah, he didn't.
We lost Con.
We lost Con.
We're still live, though, right?
We're still live.
We put him up.
So that's been the craziest things
That happened this week
Is
This Remy Ma
Now I didn't even ask you
What did you
What did you feel
Of the situation
I think it's dope man
Cause we
We haven't had a female battle
That's true
So I think it's dope
For female MC's
Here go Con
Here go Con
Here go Con
We lost you for a second
Yeah Where we left off at?
Tablespoon of Johnson
Yeah, two tablespoons
Yeah, tablespoon
You said tablespoon
Alright, so
I was thinking
So what I'm trying to say is that
It also has a tablespoon of John 50
You know what I'm saying?
Uh-huh
Say holy shit Okay Even though like John 50. You know what I'm saying? Uh-huh. Say hello to the girls, sir.
Okay.
Even though, like, it's a phrase that John actually coined that people use now,
I think because John was in such a hit-making mode
that 50 kind of pulled him out of his element with the ballad.
You know what I'm saying?
And what phrase are you talking about?
Clap back?
Clap back.
Okay, yeah, okay.
When anybody say anything about anybody now, it's a clap back. You know what i'm saying and what phrase are you talking about clap back clap back okay yeah okay when anybody say anything about anybody now it's a clap back right so john was the first person to ever did you clap back with the first time that that it was used in that in that in that in that
in that content you know i'm saying um but i think that job was like in such a hit-making formula record phase in his career
that, you know what I'm saying, him jumping back into that
was kind of like him being a little bit of a fish out of water.
That's not to take anything away from him as the MC.
It's just where he was at in his career.
And I think with Nicki, you know what I'm saying, she's in a similar place.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, Remy don't really have nothing to lose.
You know what I mean?
Remy don't have nothing to lose.
She got everything to gain from this.
And so I think Nikki got to really be careful.
Like, I'm going to be honest.
That's just my personal opinion.
It's no shade and no slant.
But I think she definitely got to be careful
because she could end up on the short end of the stick with this.
If she does reply,
because if it ain't
gully enough,
if she on a trap beat...
She can't reply and talk about money
and record sales.
She got to have balls.
She got to go.
She got to go on a real nigga beat.
Like, she's got to really go on a nigga beat.
Hit him up.
Hit him up.
None of that play.
None of this is nice.
Right.
Nothing about this is nice right now.
Right.
When niggas is out here saying that your ass deflated.
Right.
Shit like that.
And before the butt job, you was a sponge bar.
Right.
None of this is nice.
Yeah, it's not funny.
It's not funny.
It's not funny.
It's not fun at games right now.
It's like, this is, niggas' livelihoods is on the line.
So, you know, we're going to see what's up.
Now, the last thing before we get to get about here, recently, Swiss Beats and Just Blaze
had a battle.
We got them calling in a little later.
What did you think about that?
I thought it was dope.
I thought it was dope.
I thought it was dope that they did it spontaneously.
I thought it was dope that it wasn't, like,
promoted like the Soulja Boy, Chris Brown fight.
I thought it was just, like, it was just hot.
It was just hot that they jumped on the IG.
They ain't make it about.
There wasn't no build-up to the shit. It was like you know i'm saying like if you caught it caught it and
if you didn't and you had to hear about it you had to go look for it i actually watched it the day
after um me too it came out and shit because i was running around and shit but i watched
literally sat there watched two and a half hours of that shit that shit was dope you know i'm saying
um you know obviously they both got extensive catalogs and um you know that shit was dope yes it was dope you know they two different
kind of people so they did their the way that they went about presenting their records it was good
because you know swiss is more of a showman because he's like slasher artist but then you
got just was like uh you know he's like a he's like a nerd out guy with the shit so he wants to set it up differently and shit and you know
um i enjoyed it well well let's make some noise for cars and quiz god damn it
you'll call some lock in your number and let's let's speak let's speak to each other tomorrow
i got you all right cool cool i'll tag, cool. I'll tag you early and shit.
I'm going to send you that.
All right, no problem.
I got you.
All right, one love.
My dog, come on.
Make some noise for Carl.
Kick out Danny.
Yeah!
The American West with Dan Flores is the latest show from the Meat Eater Podcast Network,
hosted by me, writer and historian Dan Flores, and brought to you by Velvet Buck.
This podcast looks at a West available nowhere else.
Each episode, I'll be diving into some of the lesser known histories of the West.
I'll then be joined in conversation by guests such as Western historian Dr. Randall Williams
and bestselling author and meat eater founder Stephen Rinella.
I'll correct my kids now
and then where they'll say when cave people were here and I'll say it seems like the ice age people
that were here didn't have a real affinity for caves. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th where
we'll delve into stories of the West and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which
we experience the region today.
Listen to The American West with Dan Flores on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
I know a lot of cops, and they get asked all the time, have you ever had to shoot your gun?
Sometimes the answer is yes.
But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no.
Across the country, cops called this taser the revolution.
But not everyone was convinced it was that simple.
Cops believed everything that taser told them.
From Lava for Good and the team that brought you Bone Valley
comes a story about what happened when a multi-billion dollar company dedicated itself to one visionary mission.
This is Absolute Season 1, Taser Incorporated.

I'm Michael Kassin, founder and CEO of 3C Ventures and your guide on good company,
the podcast where I sit down with the boldest innovators shaping what's next.
In this episode, I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but
ordinary. We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream gold,
connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen. What others dismiss as niche,
we embrace as core. It's this idea that there's so many stories out there, and if you can find a way
to curate and help the right person discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience
is that they feel seen.
Get a front row seat to where media, marketing,
technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space
and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets.
Listen to Good Company on the iHeartRadio app,

I'm George M. Johnson, and my book, All Boys Aren't Blue, was just named the most banned book in America.
If the culture wars have taught me anything, it's that pride is protest.
And on my podcast, Fighting Words, we talk to people who use their voices to resist, disrupt, and make our community stronger.
This year, we are showing up and showing out.
You need people being like, no
you're not going to tell us what to do.
This regime is coming
down on us and I don't want
to just survive. I want to
thrive. You'll hear from
trailblazers like Bob the Drag Queen.
To freedom! Angelica Ross. We ready to fight.
I'm ready to fight. And Gabrielle Yoon.
Hi George. And storytellers
with wisdom to spare.
Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
So before Carson, what you said, he was getting to something here.
I said it's dope.
When do you remember last two Phil MCs going out?
Roxanne Chanté, right?
That's what I'm saying.
That's the 80s, right?
Not in our generation, necessarily.
Is that the 80s or that's the late 80s
late 80s
with the real Roxanne right
and there might have been some other ones
like MC Lyte I think I want to say MC Lyte
I don't know I want to say like Bahama D
I might have had that
I had the beat all glassed down
that was a diss
with who?
Foxy and Kim
well Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown kind of...
Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown kind of didn't engage.
Yeah, they didn't do it on...
But I don't think on this level of, like, straight bars.
Straight bars.
Females haven't had that in a long time.
Remy got bars.
Remy got bars.
Remy got bars.
I think it's dope.
I think it's dope.
As long as they keep it on wax, it doesn't turn into some other weird shit.
Of course, I would love to keep it on wax.
But I think that... I think that Nikki has to respond.
She has to.
If she sits back and she plays the role of being like, I'm too big for that.
Nah, she needs to respond.
Even if she loses it.
But do you think it's too late?
Nah, it's never too late.
You don't think the 48-hour thing is?
Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.
She got up to a week or two.
If she got ahead, they're going to wait for Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. She got up to a week or two.
If she got a hit, they're going to wait for it.
Yeah, they're going to wait for it.
But right now...
So she still keeps making hits.
She's still writing.
Nah, that's stupid.
Nah, nah, nah.
She needs to respond.
She's got to respond.
But she's going to lose this record from home.
Yo, I go at people from my hood that make diss records about me.
Nobody don't know.
That's a fact.
Nobody don't know them.
I still give it to them. Give him the business.
Be like, yo, just remember,
I rap. Like, for real.
I'll go at the dude that's
never going to make it off my block.
He want to say something smart about me,
I give it to him. Like, yo, for real.
Because you got to keep that competitive spirit
or you're not a rapper.
That's what makes you a rapper.
Here's the deal.
This is the back-to-back camp.
Let's just be clear.
This camp comes from back-to-back.
That record was phenomenal.
That record was a hit record.
The record won a Grammy.
And the record was a club record.
It's going to be very crazy
if Nicki makes a hit record, this record.
That would be crazy.
Because that's what Drake did.
Drake changed the game.
He made a diss record.
And that's why she might be coming out quickly.
It looks like she's out here.
Playing it all out.
It's the strategy.
Shooting a video with Future.
Drake is going to go for it.
I ain't saying.
I don't even care.
He might be on the hook.
No, no.
I don't think...
I think that would be
sucker shit
if Nikki has any...
She needs to do it though.
She has Wayne on the record.
She needs to do it though.
You got Future on the record.
Anybody.
This should be a cat fight
between two females.
And that's it.
Nikki got bars.
Remy went in with bars.
Nikki got bars too.
It's going to be entertaining.
It's going to be good for hip-hop, man.
Great for hip-hop.
Great for women.
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
But Nikki needs to come back.
She has to come back, man.
I feel like...
I think she will, man.
Every real fan that she has will be disappointed.
I'm not talking about the fans that's fans of the Barbie movement.
I'm talking about her from early when she was down with Dirty Money,
not the Diddy shit, Big Up Defendi and all that.
When she was down with them and she was on the come-up DVDs,
she was a female battle rapper.
She has to remember that.
Sometimes you got to go pull up those DVDs, remember that.
Because one, you already have the Because one You already have the audience
You already know
That you got more money
Than Remy Ma
We know that though
We already know
You got more hit records
Than her
We know that
But Remy said
Something that was crazy
She said she's the queen of rap
Not the queen of record sales
Not the queen of
Top
She said she's the queen of rap
So you gotta dispose that
You gotta discr crown that and I think
That if she goes in and makes a hit record, that's a diss song
I think it would change what the outlook but as of now if she doesn't this whole week the memes are going to get meaner. The memes are going to get meaner.
The memes are pretty crazy right now.
I mean, I actually, that's a seven-minute joint,
and I actually had to listen to it two or three times.
Like, it wasn't just once.
Like, I was missing balls.
A lot of shit.
And everybody's saying that she held back
because she wants to be able to come back again.
I don't know.
That's what some people are saying. Yeah, I don't know. That's what some people are saying.
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's what some people are saying.
But she is a big boy.
We know she got up.
She can't remember.
Now, Remy ain't playing.
And the crazy shit is, Remy ain't playing as she's street.
She's heard about it.
She's heard about it.
She's actually about that.
She means it.
She will shoot you.
But here's the thing, Nicky.
You got way too much bread.
You make a dope record and you don't ever
gonna see her. But you gotta
come back. And if you don't come back,
it's a certain part of hip-hop
that you just lost.
So like, what if she comes back
and it's not as hard as...
Well, Drake came and it wasn't as hard.
Remember Charged Up? Remember Charged Up?
Wasn't it? Wasn't it?
Then he came back.
Back to back.
He came back to back.
You know what I'm saying?
Biggie Meek Mill, by the way.
I see Meek Mill out in Atlanta.
You know what I'm saying?
Definitely would like to get him on the show.
But yeah, I think Nicki should come back, man.
I think Nicki should come back. I think she will, man.
I think so.
I have faith in her.
We was at Puff Daddy's house and even he said she got 48 hours.
Wow.
That's fast, though, man.
Puff gave him 48 hours?
48?
Yeah.
It's an unofficial rule.
It's an unofficial rule in hip-hop.
If somebody diss you, you got about two and a half days to respond.
The first 48?
I'm going to let her live for a week.
Yeah, but I can let her live for a week.
But I just can't let her live if she just totally ignores it.
Like, this didn't happen.
Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, Traz made a diss record of me.
I had to make a diss record.
But I tried to ignore it.
Everywhere I went, people were like, yo, what's up with Traz?
So I had to go make a diss record.
It's just what it is.
But I'll give him a week.
I will give him a week, like you said.
That's real stuff.
I think she's trying to be the
better girl Nikki you can't be the better girl
apparently trying to do this is him she talked about your man she said you can't
get online without Safari which is a brilliant line by the way no it was
brilliant because you can't get online without Safari it's a a very brilliant, very brilliant, very brilliant line.
She was,
the way she was coming out of,
you know,
ghostwriters,
you fuck Wayne,
Gucci told you,
suck his dick
and you back with him.
It's like,
you gotta,
it was disrespectful.
The way she got
all this information though.
Big up to Trey Songz
for being thrown
in the hot pot.
Oh, sure.
I actually was supposed
to speak to Trey Songz too. Who, where pot I actually was supposed to meet the straight songs to wish you got all these informations don't like is this is fact
she just rapid listen when you when you bother write a diss record you become You do your research. You find. You get everything.
So she did her research.
Meek dola.
You know.
Because the way she said.
The way she said that.
Meek.
Didn't let her smash.
Even if it's a lie.
It sounds dope.
It sounds like it's the truth.
It's convincing.
It's convincing.
Big up to Ebro in the morning for being, his face was red all morning.
You had to watch that, Ebro.
And it's 2017.
It's the day of alternative facts.
Alternative facts.
Alternative facts.
His name's in the show right now.
Alternative facts.
Alternative facts.
We have our drunk facts.
We have drunk facts as alternative facts.
That's right.
And today, I feel like if I was Mickey, I would get with Drake.
And I would say, help me guide a way to craft this.
I agree.
Why not?
No one was going.
As long as he got on the record.
If she does that, I'm still.
I don't know.
I felt like I heard some Papoose bars in there somewhere.
I felt like it was. I felt like. I don't know. I could be somewhere. I felt like it was a little, I felt like, I don't know.
I could be wrong.
I could be wrong.
But you can be right.
As long as she's alone on the record.
But she's alone on the record.
Going on the hand.
So I'm not saying put Drake on the record.
I'm saying tell Drake to help you craft some shit.
A hook.
Yeah, because you got to make it cash.
That's the thing about back to back.
You want to sing that.
You want to say, I want to have thatto-back. You want to sing that.
You want to say, I want to have that William Wesley.
You can never check me.
You know what I mean?
I want to know who William Wesley was.
Who is that?
William Wesley is a Haitian guy. Yeah, he is not Haitian.
Everybody's Haitian.
Relax.
Relax.
William Wesley is Haitian.
But yeah, so I think Nikki got to respond.
I think it's imperative that she do it.
I think that she would let down a whole bunch of, you know,
I don't even want to make it a barrel thing,
even though Consequence did point that out.
It's very true.
But, you know, you got a whole bunch of people in Queens
who respect you.
You know, you got fans in the Bronx that respect you.
You got fans all over the place and
Um, I think that she owes it to hip-hop for you know
You you gotta you gotta come and say something let me actually how you think she's gonna do she does comes back
She got bars. She can do it. I've seen it.
I heard it.
She goes back to her own flow.
And the one where she switches up her accent and her voice.
She can do all kinds of crazy creative shit.
She definitely going to turn Rastafari into a homie.
Should we call 911?
Should we call 911?
No, we good.
The show?
Relax, baby.
Relax.
That's what that was.
The comedian, Bill Burr, brought that in. He was smelling it. He was It was the comedian that Bill Burr brought that up.
He was smelling it.
He was coughing on the show.
Bill Burr.
I'm good.
I'm sorry.
Don't worry about it.
It's raw cones.
It happens.
It's the water.
It's not what you think.
So what were we talking about?
I totally forgot.
Nicki Minaj.
What were you thinking?
What did I think would Nikki come with?
I think Nikki,
I think she has to get angry.
She's got to be angry.
You know everything she said about it?
No, I think she's,
I think she's,
this is her,
this is her.
Is she comfortable right now?
No, I think this is her
most uncomfortable time
she's ever dealt with.
Like this week
has been very uncomfortable
because when a person
does a diss record for you trust me I got this
record you just I wasn't expecting that either
I know she actually took those shots every mark she was supposed to expect
that cuz you you gotta know that cheese
come on pun got on a record with
Dives and said even if I stuttered
I would still shit on you
He tried to kill the illest lyricist in the world
That's the cap that Remy Ma
Comes from
But now Nicky remember
Where you come from
Rain is a spitter
Anybody say rain is a spitter
And you have to be a spitter Drake and these guys make hit records So I think this is a spitter. I don't care what anybody say, Wayne is a spitter. And you have to be a spitter.
And Drake and these guys make hit records.
So I think this is a very interesting battle.
I think this is the Nas.
I think Khan said it earlier.
He said it got traces of 50 and Ja.
And then we said traces of what?
Biggie and Pac.
I wouldn't say Biggie and Pac.
It got traces of Nas and Jake.
It started with Sheetal.
And Nas and Jake to me. Not Biggie and Pac. I don't think nobody's going to die, she started with Sheetal. And Nas and Jay,
to me.
Not Biggie and Pac.
I don't think nobody
gonna die over this.
I don't think nobody
gonna get shot over this.
Right.
So I would relate it
a little bit more
towards Nas and Jay.
You know what I mean?
Especially with Sheetal.
What do you think
Jay-Z and Nas
is thinking like,
damn, why this motherfucker
had to use that beat again?
Sheetal is.
That's not Ella.
She's kind of Ella.
She's kind of ill.
And it's a girl beef.
If she comes back on one of those beats,
it's probably going to be ill.
What's the other one? One of J's?
Takeover?
No.
Takeover. Takeover.
Ransomby calling Ja Rule.
He's been in famous battles. Let's see if he'll pick up.
Let's see what Ja Rule. He's been in famous battles. Let's see if he'll pick up. Let's see.
Let's see.
Let's see what Ja Rule.
Remember what Dave Chappelle said?
He said,
there's a crisis going on.
I said,
let's go see what Ja Rule is doing.
I'm white,
but somebody else's got answers
that Ja Rule can't answer.
Let's see.
Let's see if Ja Rule picks up the phone.
Jada Kidd and Beanie Cigar
was a good battle too.
Jada got,
I was scared of Jada Kidd
and Beanie Cigar. I thought somebody too. Jada, I was scared of Jada Kiss and Beanie Cigar.
I thought somebody said that.
That wasn't funny at all.
I didn't laugh at Jada Kiss and Beans.
Let's talk about some classic battles.
What else?
Jada Kiss and Beans.
You know what I was even more scared of?
I got a story about that Philly.
Beans and Styles.
Because those two dudes at that time reminded me of each other.
And they were going to bite each other.
Like, if they see each other.
Just those two crews, the locks and stay prop.
Like, that was crazy.
What about LL and Cannabis?
LL and Cannabis.
That's classic.
That's classic because of how L did it.
L had him on the rack.
He did him dirty.
Didn't like what he said.
He did him dirty.
That's classic Def Jam.
Classic because you know what?
I remember being in that Def Jam building
And Leo Cohn saying we are going to crush cannabis
And the crazy shit is
The crazy shit is
It's not Elle who won it was Def Jam
They protect they artists
Like I miss those days
And I remember them saying
And you know what the crazy shit is
Cannabis was on Universal
And Elle was on Def Jam
It's basically the fucking same company.
But when it get down to a battle, your label will help kill the people that's cutting the check.
I seen that shit.
I seen Leon say, man, fuck that.
Pull Cannabis' record from Hot 97.
Get that shit pulled.
They were playing dirty.
They were playing dirty, bro.
So, you know what I mean? That's why if you
peep it, the fact that Ether
Nas record, people
say it's better than hoes, and the fact that
Nas record won was amazing
because I've seen
what Def Jam do when it's beef, bro.
I've seen it. They go to war. Like, that day
when Nas was supposed to
hang Jay-Z on Summer Jam stage,
Def Jam protected him
Mike Kaiser
He was like
How did you know
I said this on
Tax Stone Podcast
Or somebody else podcast
I forget
But Mike Kaiser was like
How the fuck did you know that
Like I was there
To date with Nas
Was to come on Summer Jam
He was supposed to hang Jay-Z
On a rope
And
And Mike Kaiser
And the whole Def Jam
Was sent there
To stop him
That's when Nas went to 105
That's when Nas went to 105 But I And I was there to stop him. That's when the odds went to 105.
That's when the odds went to 105.
And I was there to stop them.
You ain't doing that to my man.
The odds are getting away with this.
If the odds were to get him, he would have been hot.
We had 45 niggas in backstage.
Let's throw Drake's ass back there.
But, yeah, I think that battle scared me. Pac and Big's battle definitely scared me.
Like, I definitely felt the feeling.
The one that scares me the most now is the Bieber and the Weekend Beef.
Come on.
Somebody's definitely going to die.
Somebody's definitely going to die.
They're going to die at the salon.
I brought my money and the Biebs.
But we had Cuba on the Biebs.
But we had Cubon, and we talked.
That's a classic.
No, that's a lean.
And him and Common.
Common here.
Yeah, him and Common.
Common did the bitching.
Justin Bieber do got the yellow Eminem hair right now.
So you think he might wall out?
Yeah, I think he might be taking action. He's trying to scrap.
Huh?
Eminem, Benzino, we got to let's get away. Stay away. Benzino's a friend of the action. He's trying to scrap. Him and Benzino, let's get away.
Stay away.
Benzino's a friend of the show.
No, but all of those beefs have been classic.
It was not classic.
All of them were classic.
That squad and his squad.
I never really got into that.
But they had like a serious beef.
They never battled on music, did they?
It was about 50 Cent and Jaru.
And Dazza Pife.
50 Cent, Jaru.
MC Shannon, KRS-One
I'm with
Drink, Cheer, Sports
And then LL
And Kumo D
I don't know
Yeah
That's that
And then KRS-One
And Kumo D
Yeah
Yeah Kumo D
Kumo D was good
He was going in
He was going at it
Nikki is definitely
Out here taking pictures
Somewhere bro
She's out here
She in Miami?
I'm not gonna lie
I would take her
If she said
She was coming here
But I'm more interested
In hearing the record
At this point
Like if I
If I had a choice
To say I do drink champs
So I'm gonna do this record
I'm gonna pick the record
Do the record
I'm gonna pick the record
They come to drink champs
Right after
They come to drink champs They go. Then come to Drink Champs.
Oh, for me?
That record on Drink Champs.
Instagram live it with us, we'll premiere it, and then do the show.
That'd be crazy.
Definitely.
Oh, shit!
Pizza, pizza, read all about it.
Pizza, pizza.
We got Folly's Basement here.
What's up?
Antonino's in the house.
What's the name of the show?
Hector?
Antonino's.
Antonino's in Miramar.
Make sure you check out the show. What's up? Antonino's in the house! What's your name and the shout out? Hector. Antonino's in Miramar.
Make sure y'all go get Antonino's in Miramar.
You about to say Hylia?
Hollywood.
And we at Hazardous Sounds.
Hazmat Studios.
Antonino's at Hazm.
No, at Hanzo.
Everything's great.
We blowing up.
Kumo D's hate shit We blowing up.
Kumodization on the low.
You always want French beret, though.
Thank you, brother.
What you say, Shani?
Eddie, they asked you to come say what's up to the people, baby. I'm coming right now.
I'm talking about the beef with Uncle Murder and Matt Skills.
And Matt Skills?
They got beef right now?
I'm making it up.
You know, man.
Oh, because of the
end of the year track.
Drink Champs,
we want Gucci.
Yeah, but this isn't like
a boo and gin.
Oh, Gucci and G.
That's not funny beef,
though, neither.
50 and Ross.
That's not funny beef.
50 and Ross is pretty crazy.
Yeah, that's not funny.
I bought that beef
with Drink Champs
and the other guys.
So, Dahlia Wilson?
Let's pick up the Breakfast Club.
They just hit one million subscribers on YouTube.
We shouldn't be far from that.
Let's pick them up, though.
They covered the whole beef thing as well this morning.
I tuned in.
Ironically, I got the chance to hear Power 105 this morning and Hot 97.
Make some noise for me.
Make it time.
Make it time.
I like to, you know, I woke up in the morning.
I listened to both stations.
It was great because 105 started around 7, I believe, and they started to talk about it.
And then Ebro took his over at around 8 o'clock.
So I got a chance to hear both sides.
I thought it was, you know, pretty dope. A lot of people think Ebro took his over at around 8 o'clock, so I got a chance to hear both sides.
I thought it was, you know, pretty dope.
A lot of people think Ebro's lying.
Why?
You know, he thinks that he actually did smash Nicky Minoxidil.
You know, Remy Ma says that.
A lot of people think Ebro's lying. He denies it, though.
He denies it.
Something in his facial expression, I actually believe it.
That's why he said he was red.
He's red.
He's red.
He's denied.
Yeah, because, you know,
a part of every man wants to be attached
to this beautiful woman, you want to say.
But if you really didn't hit,
it's just everything in your body says,
don't agree to that.
Right, right.
So it's a part of his face that when I look at it,
I do believe him.
And then
That's it
But it was crazy
For that to even be
Brought up
Ebro's name
To be brought in the name
In the game
Trigger
Trey Songz's name
To be brought in the game
I know Safari
Name's being dropped
Meek Mill
Eddie Sedona
The game actually
Went at Meek right
The game actually
Went at Meek
Because Meek, right? The game actually went at Meek because Meek was liking pictures of the trash talking and stuff like that.
Oh, shit.
The game really don't like Meek, man.
This is like, it's not, I thought it was, I'm not sure, man.
I'm not sure about this.
Didn't it get serious out here?
I'm saying because I thought this beat would have blew over by now.
Like, I thought, you know, they would have moved on, maybe squashed it.
It's not.
Whatever the issue is, it seems very specific.
What about Keith Murphy and Prodigy?
That never got lyrical.
That was a bar fight.
That never got lyrical.
Nobody.
Yeah, that's right.
CNN and Dog Pound. CNN and Dog Pound, yeah, that was a battle. Nobody. Yeah, that's right. CNN and Dog Pound.
Well, CNN and Dog Pound, yeah, that was a battle.
Yeah, that was a battle.
Give me a considerate battle.
That's actually the closest people I am to and the most closest.
Corrupted Dads.
They ain't go past that song, though.
Yeah, but it was a song.
But it could have.
It could have.
No, no, it could have.
Because, you know, Big died.
And, you know, well, Pop died first, right after that.
Like, I believe the same.
I believe.
What year Pop died?
96. 96. 96. Well well the record came out 96 so
no no that was serious over here Miami did cowards cowards and call it rain
every call big I've got a bit of this great goose this is this is one of the
best great gooses on the market man it's great goose VX so what inspired this I don't know I think it's like with some some
cognac in it it's pretty good some smooth shit I like to drink it's crazy I'm starting to try
to drink vodka straight really yeah I'm trying to it's my goal you know we're basically we're
basically straight when you're doing a club soda yeah so, you know, it's just less hangover.
Like, when I've done it, you know, just hitting vodka.
Well, as long as you don't put no sweet chaser in anything,
you're not going to have a hangover.
You're not going to have a hangover right now.
Eddie, what dingleberries you been messing with lately?
I mean, look at the shit on his lip already.
He got a dingleberry right there.
You got a dingleberry.
Is that a coleslaw or what? It's a dingleberry. I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you.
Is that a close one?
I thought you got a dingleberry.
Oh, yeah.
I got two more beats.
Come on.
Oh, good.
Luda and T.I.
Well, that went lyrical.
That went lyrical.
I believe so.
And Duck Down and Bad Boy.
That got out of hand.
Well, listen.
We got the Duck Down episode.
We got that coming.
We got that coming soon.
So, Eddie, what have you been battling lately, Eddie? We got the duck down And we got the story We got that coming We got that coming So yeah
But
So Eddie
What have you been
Battling lately Eddie?
Battle of the butts?
Yeah pretty much
Yeah
Picking out dingleberries
Dingleberries?
I got a Haitian chick for you
She got dingleberries?
Mm-hmm
You looking for dingleberries?
No I don't
But it's a criteria
It's fun
It's fun picking them out, though.
That's an asshole.
It's like that.
It's just an asshole.
And it kind of hurts them because it's tangled up in their head.
So, you know, they get that little tear when you put it on.
So you like a hairy booty.
I don't.
I prefer a non-hairy booty, but.
Bleach or non-bleach?
She look good.
Bleach?
I got one for you. I'm not so good about the bleach look good. Bleach? I got one for you.
I'm not so good about the bleach.
I got one for you.
Perfect.
She bleach or not bleach?
No, she's Asian, obviously.
Oh, so she's not bleach.
She live in a one-bedroom box.
In Berlin.
Box.
So, what you think about the battle?
The battle?
The battle.
He doesn't know.
Oh, nah.
He ain't even heard the song. You ain't heard the song. He wants to know what's in they booties. battle
Did you hear the ring my song I heard some of it. All right.
He was too busy picking up dingleberries.
He was picking up dingleberries.
Yeah, when I was picking them up, she was listening to it.
Wait, the homegirl that you were discussing?
Yeah, she's rough.
What, she had her headphones on?
She's rough-naked.
She's rough-naked.
I got some garlic rolls for you, bro.
What the fuck?
You got garlic rolls?
Yeah.
All right.

Big up to Rich Blocko.
He's not here today.
Boom, boom.
But he's working.
He's working.
Yeah, we got the relax video coming soon.
So we had some calls in.
I just wanted to big up, you know, randomly, big up drink champs, all of us, you know what
I'm saying, from Boris, everybody. You know, Eric, everybody behind the scenes, Paul.
We're supposed to have Kenny Anderson come today.
I just wanted to big up all of us because we're doing it, and we're reporting on hip-hop.
We're talking about this Nicki Minaj, Remy Ma thing, Slash, Just Blaze, Slash, Swiss Beats.
We're going to have a couple of people call in, try to get, like, Fat Joe maybe.
Oh, we had Fat Joe live, right?
Did he already call in?
No, no, no.
You're going to try to get Puff.
You're going to try to get Fat Joe.
Try to get Puff.
You're going to try to get...
Swiss.
Swiss is just laser, of course.
I should have tried to get Remy Moss.
Try to get him.
You should try.
Relax.
Relax.
I don't think...
I don't think I don't think
They want to do
Interviews about this
They just wanted to
Yeah
Of course they do
What do you mean
Not exploited
No because it's not over
Like you know
I'm just saying
The point is
It's still fresh
Keep it going
And we're going to talk
About a couple of
Random things
That have popped
With me though
We got a big up Moonlight for winning Best Picture.
Oh, yeah, that was awkward.
From Miami.
Awkward how it went down, but big up to them for winning.
Are they from Miami?
Yeah, the two dudes from Liberty City.
Oh, sure.
What's about Moonlight back?
The whole story's about Liberty City.
It's about a dude growing up gay in the hood.
In Liberty City?
In Liberty City.
A dude growing up what?
Huh?
You don't find out he's gay?
The dude who wrote it? What? Huh?
You don't find out he hates you?
The dude who wrote it, it's like based on his life.
But is he a gangster?
Because he's like in the movie, he's like a whole tribe.
He's in a travel.
What?
Yeah, it's pretty young.
He's not a Haitian guy.
I'm sorry?
Oh, he's not Haitian all of a sudden?
He's not?
Yeah, no, it's good.
I saw him on private.
He a little Haitian.
He Haitian, bro.
Big up to Anthony, Anthony Los-Petersen, how you say?
The whole crew was over there
Getting busy
What y'all was doing until now?
Cleaning up and cooking for y'all
That's right
So I'm going to talk about
Some random things in hip hop right now
I want to speak on this because it seems like it's getting out of control
This is like the second time
I've heard that
Young Dolph has got shot at.
And as a person who has an ex-shooter, as a person who was an ex-shooter, got shot at.
It's not a good thing when you're getting money and you got to watch your back.
It's not.
It's not.
So I want to wish that brother You know what I'm saying
Safety
I want to wish him well being
You know we're hearing about this
You know
Might be drama with him and your god
And
You know as a person
Who's been through it all
My friends are in jail
You know
Bail money back to. You know, bail money
back to back and
having the highest security, whether
it be, you know, real security
or the hood security.
It's just not a good life, man.
You know what I'm saying? Like, we're all blessed.
We're all here. I don't
personally know the young brother,
young Dolph.
I've met Yo Gotti and what's the guy's name
got the money all the time black youngster I met them once maybe
twice good people man you know I'm I'm only here good things about young Dolph
as well I just wish them you know if they could fix this, you know, it's all for the love of Memphis.
Yeah, all for Memphis.
Who cares whose block is what?
But listen, guys, it ain't worth it.
I'm just saying it because if these allegations or anything is true, you know, without me, you know, implicating anybody,
I just want to say, say Brothers you guys could get money
Could get money together
Could be on the same corner
And you could be on one side of the block
And the other one could be on the other side of the block
And you won't bother each other
I'm just telling y'all to get it together
Because if I know about it
The feds know about it
And trust me
This is a federal thing we're talking about
When you were talking about 100 shots
The feds come
We did that in front of Hot 97
It was only 27 shots
And the feds came
Well I was not there
Thank you
Thank you
Let's tell the story
Who punched you in the eye?
Sonny?
No, nobody punched me.
Was he Haitian?
You can't even see it.
It definitely looked like an old lady nail hit you.
An old lady nail.
He tried to get that disc out of the way.
Joe Button and Cameron almost got it.
Joe Button and Cameron.
Orit Kwan was very funny.
That was not funny.
But Joe got bars, though.
You can't front on.
Didn't he battle someone?
I don't care.
You can beat Joe Buttons and beat him up.
That's great.
Yeah, whatever.
But when he going down, he got bars.
That boy know what he doing.
I'm bigging you up, Joe Buttons.
God damn it.
And he got since Santana.
And he... Relax. Relax, ging you up, Joe Butts. God damn it. And he got since Santana. And he...
Relax.
Relax, booty man.
And Joe Butts.
You know,
at first I thought
he was super thirsty,
but he was the only one
that went at Drake and Meek.
Why Drake and Meek
is beefing.
He went at Boba.
Let's make some noise
for Joe Butts, God damn it.
And to have a since Santana.
And he kept...
And he didn't...
He wasn't disrespectful.
He was like... Joe had a certain way about... I'm talking about Joe But disrespectful He wasn't like Joe had a certain way about
I'm talking about Joe Buttons
By the way
Had a certain way about
He went at both
For the Meek and Drake
And he
It was respectful
But it was with bars
It was with bars bro
And I think
That's always respectful
As a person
In hip hop
I gotta salute my hat
To Joe Buttons for that
Because he kept it
He kept it
He always keeps the hip hop
Sometimes I feel like he jumps the gun.
Sometimes I feel like he just be wanting to rhyme too much.
So he'll just make a fake beef.
That's what's keeping him.
He has bars, though.
But he does got bars.
He does got bars.
And what the fuck, though, with Migos jumping Sean Kingston?
I'm going to have to ask you to come over here.
We can't hear you from over there, bro.
Okay, Jake Champs.
Migos jumped Sean Kingston.. Migos jumped Sean Kingston.
And Migos jumped Sean Kingston.
I don't even know what that's about.
And then Sean Kingston got on TV and said it.
He said it.
And he was quoted on saying, I couldn't get my set up.
Yo, why did he say that?
Because he didn't have a good headshot around him.
I couldn't get my set up.
Like, he, Sean Kingston got to relax.
Yeah, he got to relax.
But does anybody know what that's about?
He had a shooter in there saying, yeah, I was a shooter.
Anybody know what that's about?
Nobody knows what that's about?
I don't know what it's about.
Soulja Boy and Migos shit.

you know what we might start trying to do?
We might start trying to get Drink Champs a number for the fans to call.
Now, we got all of what we're going to do.
Yeah, we're going to try to get a landline, maybe here.
And it won't sweep the moment.
Exactly.
Eddie don't pick up.
Eddie is Eddie's phone.
No way. You want't use Eddie's phone.
Eddie, what kind of phone?
It's a cocaine straw.
Your phones always make me miserable.

He's on the iPhone 18.
I usually look at your phones and just be miserable.

Woo! The American West with Dan Flores is the latest show from the Meat Eater Podcast Network,
hosted by me, writer and historian Dan Flores, and brought to you by Velvet Buck.
This podcast looks at a West available nowhere else.
Each episode, I'll be diving into some of the lesser-known histories of the West.
I'll then be joined in conversation by guests such as Western historian Dr. Randall Williams
and best-selling author and MeatEater founder Stephen Ranella. I'll correct my kids now and
then where they'll say when cave people were here. And I'll say, it seems like the Ice Age people
that were here didn't have a real affinity for caves.
So join me starting Tuesday, May 6th, where we'll delve into stories of the West and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today.

I know a lot of cops, and they get asked all the time,
have you ever had to shoot your gun?
Sometimes the answer is yes.
But there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no.
Across the country, cops call this taser the revolution.
But not everyone was convinced it was that simple.
Cops believed everything that taser told them.

In this episode,
I'm joined by Anjali Sood, CEO of Tubi, for a conversation that's anything but ordinary.
We dive into the competitive world of streaming, how she's turning so-called niche into mainstream
gold, connecting audiences with stories that truly make them feel seen.
What others dismiss as niche, we embrace as core. It's this idea that
there's so many stories out there. And if you can find a way to curate and help the right person
discover the right content, the term that we always hear from our audience is that they feel seen.
Get a front row seat to where media, marketing, technology, entertainment, and sports collide.
And hear how leaders like Anjali are carving out space and shaking things up a bit in the most crowded of markets.

We're back to Drink Champs Radio with rapper N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN.
Right now, this famous beat battle that went down,
there's no way I can go through without getting both of these brothers on the phone.
I don't want just Swiss.
I don't want just, just, just.
Both of them.
I want both of them.
So right now, we're going to try Swiss right now.
Come on, let's get to it.
Yo, right now, we got my good friend on the phone, Swiss Beats.
What's going on, my brother?
Ain't nothing, you know.
Live from Shanghai Working on this
No commissions
Yeah
Back to giving
You know continue
Giving back to the people
Now you gotta
You gotta describe to us
This battle
It looked so classic
Ya had Instagram lit
Ya shut down Instagram
So how did this happen
Describe it
Describe this to us
Well I think you
Pretty much started All allowing this back up.
You know.
Damn.
Me and Kanye had some fun
on Summer Jam.
And then you asked me how,
you know, who was the other people that was reached out.
And then I mentioned a couple
of names, just me and one.
And he felt that
nobody reached out to him
he even told me that
nobody reached out to him
so I said cool
and then he went on Instagram
and he said his family
he said what he felt
which is all fun and love
and I said what I felt which is all fun and love
and then I ended up doing an interview with him
for something that he's doing
because it's love
he wanted me to do something
I was a little bit of a mixer doing other things
I was like you know what it's just
let me just make some time to make his interview happen
for whatever he's doing
with his show
with the producing stuff
and then he brought up how him and his friend
been trying to take me out since Money Cash Holder.
I was just like, man, I was like, man,
y'all really been on this for a minute.
He was like, but it was all love, though.
He was just...
Nah, I appreciate that.
I appreciate y'all kept it love.
I appreciate y'all kept it hip-hop.
But now everybody's talking about this.
Is that a DMX record featuring Nas naz uh hove and jadakiss
i mean that's a record off my album that's one of them that's one of my giants um
it's gonna happen in a different order you know what i'm saying i just i just had it i just knew
he was coming with psa and i just knew i had to call my bag. Like, he just, you know, there wasn't no rules to the walk, so.
Did Hove say he had to switch his bucket list every six months?
Jesus.
Yeah.
Yeah, you heard me, Swiss?
What'd you say?
I said, did Hove say he got to switch his bucket list every six months?
Jesus.
Yeah.
Ah. got to switch his bucket list every six months. Jesus. What I love is, I love
that when we fought for hip-hop,
I could feel that the people felt it.
That's why I said, the people won.
The people won that day.
The people won that day.
We did the battle in less than
24 hours of talking about it.
Yes, y'all did.
We didn't make people go through the politics of talking about it. Yes, y'all did. Yes, y'all did.
We didn't make people go through the politics of the pay-per-views and all this stuff here.
We didn't let the politics get in the way of the creativity.
And that's how hip-hop started.
That's how hip-hop got to a level where we were able to eat from it. It became from us taking something that you felt you were fresh.
Somebody else felt that it was fresh,
and the people decided who was the best.
You know what I'm saying?
Yes, sir.
For me, the people won.
Yep.
Well, Swiss, we want to thank you.
We want to let you get back
to your Shanghai business.
You got pools in the background.
We respect you.
We appreciate you,
and thank you for taking the time out
to call on the drink champs.
Yeah, we got more battles coming up.
I think I want to do
Timberland versus Scott Starch.
Beat Rock versus
Perman.
We got to be on the sidelines
commenting on it.
Let's see if everybody keep it fun as me and
Justin did.
It's only right.
Once again, drink champs, thank you for
being a part of this. That's why
I'm here talking now because I wasn't
really doing no interviews about what we think.
People already had their fun
and you know what I'm saying? Let's just
ride. Right. But you
was a part of bringing this to life and
putting it on my radar, which
came back to my radar, which came back to the people.
So, you know, salute you and your Drink
Champs for being a part of history, man.
Well, thank you very much, Swiss, man. Let's make
some noise for Swiss.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We got, look, look, look, look, look, look.
Right here. Look, we ain't bullshitting.
We ain't bullshitting. Yo, so have some fun in Shanghai,
man. Keep representing hip-hop. We love you, brother.
Peace.
Love, man.
Peace.
We just had the Swiss conversation. That's the fun of Shanghai, man. Keep representing hip-hop. We love you, brother. Peace. I am in love with you. Love. Peace.
Okay.
We just had the Swiss conversation.
We have to with no equivocations.
I learned that word in Independence Day.
No, no, not Independence Day. Is that a movie?
Yeah, all right.
Is that a quirkation?
Is that the right way to say that word?
Enemy of the state.
You know that.
I know that.
I'm the rebel of my wife with no equivocations.
I say, I don't know what that means, but it sounds binary.
You'll take it.
No equivocations.
With no equivocations, we got to get to Just Blaze.
Let's get to it, man.
Just, is that your phone?
Hello?
Can I speak to Justin Blaze and the Blazeettes?
Yo, what up, bro?
What's going on?
We want a drink test.
Make some noise for Just Blaze.
Hey! What's going on? We want to drink to this. Make some noise for Just Blaze! Yeah!
So, Just Blaze, you guys just took place in one of the most monumental things in hip-hop.
I want to know, how did this happen? How did this happen, Just?
Well, I know you guys were talking a couple of weeks ago.
You know, he told a story about how he had reached out to me and a few other people,
and Ye was the only one that took him up on the challenge. I never got that challenge.
You know, in all fairness,
in all fairness, he never said
your name. Our engineer, Hazardous Sound,
said your name, and then he just
said, yeah.
It was a mistake. It was
actually a mistake, but we didn't
correct the mistake because we got some great hip-hop out of it.
Right.
So, you know, I was looking at the question
and you answered that by name. So, you know,
it's been all fun. We started
Twitter cracking jokes. I'm like, yeah, I'll be there.
Oh, yeah, I would have did it. So then
it just so happened that
we were hanging out.
The answer was just hanging out on Wednesday.
It's that Wednesday.
Just kicking it in the studio. So that came up again. So we just decided, all right, let's do out on Wednesday. It's past Wednesday. So just kicking it in the studio.
So that came up again.
So we just decided, all right, let's do it on Friday.
Man, yo.
Pretty much it.
We had no plan.
There was no idea.
We actually had a little bit of a plan,
which is why things got off to a shaky start a little bit in the beginning
because we had a plan that, due to technical issues,
we couldn't roll it.
So if you remember, we was initially talking about three sounds or four sounds or five sounds,
whatever it was, and that's it.
You know, like, it was going to be all new music.
We had some technical issues at the last moment,
so we kind of just had to go off of whatever catalog he had on his computer
or whatever catalog I had on my computer.
But it was great. It was fun for hip-hop.
It was one of hip-hop.
It was one of those things that we know it was good,
but we didn't know it would become a moment in the way that it did.
Yo, man, let me just tell you something.
On behalf of hip-hop,
I would like to thank both of you brothers.
We just had Swiss call in from Shanghai,
and we wanted to thank you because, you know,
what y'all did, y'all shut down Instagram.
You had everybody from Puff Daddy
to whoever on there watching y'all.
And I think what y'all did was phenomenal for hip hop.
And I think that we've been trying to do this
since we started Drink Champs.
It's like when we get artists to talk about other artists,
it's not in a disrespectful form.
It's in a form that, a competitive way.
You know what I'm saying?
And you guys embrace that.
You represent it with Drink Champs represents, excuse me. form that competitive way. You know what I'm saying? And you guys embrace that. You
represent it with Drink Chance,
and I just wanted to
take the time out to say thank you to you
because you guys gave us a wonderful
night. Thank you, and I appreciate y'all
because if it wasn't for that mistake,
the engineer made me up.
Yeah.
We're trying to make the response we got was so crazy. Like, not even when we were Yeah. And that's why we purposely said no. We're going to do this direct, do Instagram, blog for the people, direct to y'all.
There's no middleman, there's no director, there's no producer.
If there's a problem or a mistake or anything happening, you're going to get that raw and live.
And that was giving us the idea.
So many people are now talking about who could be versus who.
I have a group text that's happening right now.
But literally every producer you could ever think of that's happening right now. Right now
That's what I'm talking about Everybody started jumping On an iMessage
On a group chat
And the ideas
Just started flowing
So it's about to be
A beautiful thing
I think we sparked
Something inadvertently
That's going to be
Bigger than us
For sure
Well congratulations
And tell them producers
I need beats too
For no reason
Yo but Just Blaze
I want to thank you
Once again man
Drink Champs
Thank you
And we also need you
To come up here on Drink Champs.
We understand that you don't drink, but it's okay.
We're going to drink Zambuca that day.
It's coming my way.
I got you.
All right, Just.
Have a wonderful day, man.
Thank you once again.
That's love.
All right, peace.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
You know, we're talking superior hip-hop.
It's only right we get one of the hip-hop kings.
If he's not a billionaire,
he's damn near a couple of dollars away.
Like three. Like four.
Maybe seven.
Let's get him on the phone.
Let's go.
Hello?
Yo, what's going on?
We got Puff Daddy in the building. Make some noise! Yeah!
Yo, Puff, I know you got a busy day,
so I just wanted to ask you, like,
what does it feel right now with hip-hop?
You know, with the battle with Just Blaze and Swiss Beats.
Is hip-hop feeling good again?
Yeah, it's feeling like it's getting to the talent, you know?
It's getting to the artistry.
And, you know, you got it, you got it. If you don't, you don't, you know? It's getting to the artistry. And, you know,
if you got it, you got it. If you don't, you don't.
You know?
When you're dealing with...
Oh, fuck.
How you hung up on
Puff Dad?
I was trying to forward Swiss,
because Swiss is calling in My bad
Yeah, he didn't go for dating
Yeah, my bad
My phone hung up
My bad
You want to call the crib?
Nah, nah
We good right here
We good
We'll be done real fast
But you loving how hip-hop feel?
Yeah, yeah
I'm just loving
I'm loving how it feels
A lot of smoke and mirrors
Are coming down
And people are having to really step up on their talents.
And competition is good.
I just think competition is good.
And it's good when it's done in the sport and in the art of things.
And I think that everything you see is about the art.
And a lot of people can talk about it know, a lot of people could talk,
but a lot of people can't live it.
So I've always loved that part of hip-hop,
that part of, you know, where it's about the talent speaking for itself.
And so, you know, I encourage any of it as long as it stays positive, you know?
Right, right.
Now, because Bad Boy's been a little quiet,
so what's Bad Boy's plans for 2017?
Right now, you know, we're just taking it day by day,
trying to just really find that record that means something
and make that music and that body of work.
That's what it's always been.
It's always been trying to raise the bar.
And so, you know, over the years, we've been doing less, you know,
in order to make sure that we do the right thing.
So, you know, we have, you know, my son coming out.
Good.
The Future.
We have this Cassie album.
We have this French Montana album,
which is really, really, really his best work.
I have to say his French Montana album is his best work.
We drop a single in a week.
We just had a number one record with MGK.
That's right. We just had a number one record with MGK.
That's right.
We just had Janelle Monae,
you know,
in two of the biggest movies.
So, you know,
our work still speaks for itself even when we're quiet.
We still, you know,
out here touching the culture.
And, you know,
also another thing,
Bad Boy just,
at this point in time,
can't just be represented
with records.
You know,
we have to also be kind of looked at as the impact that we're having in our other businesses.
So we have Deleon Tequila.
You know, that's a hit record.
That's a hit record.
We love it.
We got Van Gogh out.
We got another brand new thing coming out that I'm about to drop
so you know we diversify
we making music but we also
buying these companies and you know
I'm going from being on the stage to becoming
on the stage so it's about being that platform
and we're revoked being able to put
you know young people on
and have them do their thing and so
you know that's our new hit record
if you eating,
then we all eating and we all shining.
So, you know, it's just a different
type of feel for Bad Boy right now.
Dope, dope. You said something that was so dope
to me yesterday. You said you want to be
known for getting the most money with
hood people.
Yeah, I just want to be known for
at the end of the day, you start
wanting to get the money.
Then after you get it, you know, if you're not helping others to get it, then when you leave, you don't leave a legacy behind.
And so, you know, for me, you know, I like having fun.
Yes, you do.
I know when everybody's getting money and we all fight for the bill, I know we're having fun. I know bills are getting paid and orthodontists and college tuition is getting paid
and everybody's feeling good.
And so I want to be known for the active cat that came into the game
and got the most money with the most people
and was able to help the most families out
instead of just being the guy that was the richest
or the billionaire, the zillionaire,
whatever that is.
That's just a title.
You know what I'm saying?
When you're affecting lives in a positive way
and you're getting money with people,
everybody eating.
So that's where I'm at.
That's what's up, Puff.
Make some noise for Puff Daddy.
God damn it.
Yo, thank you, Puff, man.
I'll hit you up later, man.
Enjoy your night.
Thank you.
All right, love. All right, appreciate. Thank you. All right, love.
All right, appreciate that.
Peace.
All right, cool.
We got three things.
Yo.
Joe Crack TS, you live on the podcast.
Drink Chats family, make some noise!
There's a side chick over there.
Yeah.
So, is there something?
Answer, no.
I'm not answering you.
The only reason I answered, I didn't want you to get not even asking about the female thing
But what I will ask you about
Is how did you feel about Swiss Beats
And Just Blaze Battle
I thought that battle was incredible
Somebody woke me up
Matter of fact my man Navelle from from Nike woke me up and was like,
yo, B, look at the battle that's going down on Instagram.
Me personally, I haven't seen nothing like that in years.
That thing was amazing.
Wow.
And what did Swiss say he won the battle?
Timbaland against Scott Storch right now?
Swiss said he's trying to battle the Timbaland against Scott Storch right now. What do you think about that,
Joe? That'd be a serious battle,
man. I mean,
what do you want me to tell you?
That's a serious one.
You know what I mean? I don't know.
I don't know, you know,
Swiss, boy, he just, he had a little
bit more personality.
You know what I mean? He just plays,
you know, he played that joint. He know he played them joints But you know Swiss got
You know Swiss got that personality
You know what I'm saying
But for the most part I thought it was super dope for hip hop
Yeah I thought it was dope
I thought that was dope
Yeah I thought it was dope for hip hop too man
Yo crack thank you for checking in with the drink chance
Make some noise
In stores right now In stores right now.
In stores right now.
