Starting point is 00:03:37 He's also a very lioness type of person. He came to the lion's den. He didn't care about the rumors or none of that. He came. He flew out on his own dime. He's a legend. I knew him from 12th Street. I knew him from back then and he is in the house with the drink champs. In case you guys are confused or don't know who I'm talking about, I'm talking about the legendary Havoc of Mobb Deep makes some noise! I am very, listen, I'm very, this is one of my most exciting interviews because I know our history
Starting point is 00:04:16 and I know how cool we are, but I know how the internet takes shit up and switching and bouncing. And the interesting thing about you is like I just recently got asked to do a show is called Hot Hot Ones, right? Where you do the hot wings. And I was like, yo, I wanted to change it up a little bit. I was like, yo, listen, that's a show. It's a show. It's called it's on complex. So I was I was like, yo, I want to change it up a little bit. Tell him about to five wings. That's real hot. And I'll do five of the strongest vodka in the world. And I thought about it, I was like,
Starting point is 00:04:46 Hav could have easily said that to me. He could have said, yo, I'll do it, but I wanna do it on this. And you did not, let's make some noise for Hav, not being scared. God damn it, this is my rig. So listen, you got one of the best hip hop stories I ever, want this beat.
Starting point is 00:05:04 This is one of the best hip hop stories I ever heard. beat this is the one of the best hip hop stories I ever heard you made shook ones or for the project stove yeah he is very smart how many other people been cooking on a project stove and they make a dollar this nigga made a million let's make some noise let me tell you something at that time time, people in Basley, people in 40, people were really listening to the project souls. Damn, I didn't even think about that. You didn't know?
Starting point is 00:05:31 No, you said that, but now I get it. Oh, that is the- Before you light it. Yeah, right before you light it, you know what I'm saying? Before it come on and all of that. That's crazy. So let me ask you, did you think of the beat when you heard that? Nah, I was just in the fucking projects,
Starting point is 00:05:48 broke as fuck, just like, once I'm like, I just gotta make some shit. So the stove inspired me. I was like, yeah, let me throw this into the beat. Whatever. This is after the first album. This is after the first album. This is after the first album. I never really considered Juvenile Hell. I never even, I never think about it. We consider
Starting point is 00:06:10 it over here. No doubt. So I always be like you know saying the infamous album is like my first album and the Juvenile Hell is like the miscarriage. Which Primo executive producer right? Or he produced? Yeah. Say that again? DJ Premier, he executive produced it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Nah, he didn't executive produce it, but he really helped us out. We wasn't nobody. He didn't know us.
Starting point is 00:06:33 We took him out of the Infamous album? No. Oh, you might have. Okay. He didn't know us. Come here, I have something to do with that. Yeah, he used to drive out to... Let me look at the...
Starting point is 00:06:41 Oh, listen, listen. You be like, no, man. You be like, no, man. Let me look at the... Let me look at the... Let me look at the... Let me look at the... Let me look at the... Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, I got my first taste of production on there. I really didn't know how to produce at that time Right, so I just did like, you know one or two songs on there Yeah, cuz you went to art and design so that means you're very smart. I'm not smart School my brother I'm from the town. I know So when did you start producing like like what happened?
Starting point is 00:07:25 Um back when the producer asked me for we asked for a beat from a known producer RZA I seen RZA not RZA, but I'm not gonna blow his name up whoever it was. I should we petty on drink checks, right? another drink We need you to get petty right now, Hal. Come on. All right. Nah, nah, nah, but I love this guy to death. But P-Rock asked us for like 25 grand.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Did not he? P-Rock, P-Rock, okay. And our budget was only 60,000, and he asked us for 25,000, and I was like, fuck it, I'm gonna make my own beats. For real, that's how it started? That's how it started. Wow.
Starting point is 00:08:04 But during what? Not during this project. During this project? No, during the... Nah, it was that project. Cause I seen RZA inside the label and he said that you asked him for a beat. He told you to keep making your own beats. Like, fuck him. He inspired me too. He was like, no, no, no, go ahead and make your own shit.
Starting point is 00:08:22 And then I was like, alright, fuck it. Then I made my own shit. I didn't even know how to make beats really, like, you know what I'm saying? I just was like, just watching people. Because you know, you from left rack, large pros from over there, so I used to go over there to large pro crib,
Starting point is 00:08:38 and then watch him make beats, and whenever I used to ask some questions, like, yo, how you do that? He'd be like, like, chill, like chill, don't ask questions, like, yo, how you do that? He'd be like, chill, like chill, don't ask questions, just watch. So I used to just watch Large Pro do beats, Q-Tip do beats. And Q-Tip had to do with the Infamous album, right?
Starting point is 00:08:53 Right, right. And he- And you learned from the best in the game, god damn it. I mean, Q-Tip was ill, and he, like we didn't have no money back then, so. You know, they was just willing to help us. Right. You know what I'm saying. Just from the buzz of Juvenile Hell? It wasn't no buzz.
Starting point is 00:09:10 It wasn't no buzz? I mean it had to be. Look, I got it in Florida. I got this in Miami. Wow. I mean now it's a buzz, like you know what I'm saying, like you know that was our first album, but it wasn't no buzz. I got this before, Shook Ones and all that. Right. I mean, but it was cool. Let's make some noise all that. Right. I mean, but it was cool. Make some noise for EFK.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Roger Gawain. Oh, yeah. Like we was bumping it. Yo, listen, he gave KRS one of tennis balls from 19... What year was it? Nah, man. You can't get it. From like 1993 or something.
Starting point is 00:09:38 From 1943. Before KRS was born, he gave one to tennis balls. He said, look, KRS, you signed this for me and shit. You know what I mean? This is my man, man. Yo, so, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. 43. Before KRS was born, he gave me this voice, the little KRS, you signed this for me and shit. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:09:48 This is my man, man. Yo, so you guys, you worked with Biggie Smalls. How was that? I mean, it was pretty cool, you know what I mean? We had just dropped, you know what I'm saying, the infamous album, and he was working on Life After Death. So Puff hit me up, he was like, yo, I need some tracks for whatever, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:10:07 But it's a strange story that happened because I sent Puff some beats and then we actually did it in the studio. Like, the beat that I did, it got lost. Whatever he paid for, and Puff is like a gangster. He was like, yo, where's the track I paid for? We've been hearing that. He was like, yo, where's the track I paid for we've been hearing that he was like it was the track I was like yo I don't got it he was like well you gonna make this beat right there you know you're gonna do it over so then I had to you know recollect it
Starting point is 00:10:35 and just do it over yeah what beat was that? Living to my last days, money to own that stuff Long Kiss Good Night the ones with the locks on it Yeah, on the line and you just did famous you got something to do with that with the Kanye shit All right, the video was wild. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I spent like Six months in Cali working on on on the album with Kanye Yeah, I spent that time out there. I only got like, you know, one and a half tracks on there, but So you should drink E&J back in the You don't want me to smoke that. Nah, nah, nah. So you used to drink E&J back in the day. The original drink champs.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Yeah, yeah. Word. E&J, would you say that was the worst day of your life? That was uh... What'd you say, the what? The worst, the worst, like, you know, you was bad back then. I say that was like the roughest days of my life. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:43 We used to wake up drinking that shit. Listen, I was in the crazy rich one time, like 11 roughest days of my life. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was a crazy bitch. We used to wake up drinking that shit. Listen, I was a crazy bitch one time, like 11 o'clock in the morning. A lot of people don't know this. The first time I met you wasn't through Capone. It was through Twin. Me and Twin was locked up in Sparfe. Big up to Twin from Queens Bridge, my nigga.
Starting point is 00:11:58 Big Twin, make sure nobody's a Big Twin. So I came and you guys got shook once. You got the number one record in the world, you sitting on the bench, you on top of the bench, you just down the bottle of E&J and just fall. And everybody like, oh shit! I was like, yo this nigga's a rock star! This was the dopest shit in the world with me! And you was dead, at that time you was dead up, still living in the hood.
Starting point is 00:12:23 And you had the number one record. You could have bounced. After I made money, I was like, I thought about you. I was like, that nigga really saved. You duked it out for a while. For a little second, I duked it out. Did you save at least while you was in the hood? Did I save?
Starting point is 00:12:37 Save the brand if you knew. Oh, save money? Nah, we was spending that shit. We were spending that. Yo, but yo, that was ill. That was my that shit. We were spinning that shit. We was spinning that. Yo, but yo, that was ill. That was my first experience. I came to Queens Bridge and I seen you the first day. I remember Twinn introducing us,
Starting point is 00:12:53 but I remember that shit was like ill to me, to see that you was really still out there, and you was rich. You know what I'm saying? You had money coming in. Y'all niggas had shows. That record was everywhere. Yeah, because you know what it was,
Starting point is 00:13:05 because when you living in the projects, exactly where you come from or whatever, when you got respect, you don't feel like going anywhere. You got that respect, you know what I'm saying? Not saying like I was a gangster or anything like that, but I just had that respect, you know what I'm saying, out there and I could have money, jewelry, or still be in the hood, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:13:23 It's respect. Some niggas get money and they gotta leave because they don't got no respect. You know what I'm saying? So I stayed out there for a reasonable amount of time. You know what I'm saying? And then what was the final step where you said, I gotta get the fuck up out of here?
Starting point is 00:13:37 Because I used to come in the crib around four o'clock in the morning, five o'clock in the morning. And Badgimo was out there? Yeah, Badgimo was there. Badgimo was out there? Badgimo was the wild crack Yeah, Badgimo was there. Badgimo was out there? Badgimo was the wild crackhead. He'll knock you the fuck out. And he'll knock you out.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Yeah, he knocks you out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's wild. But shit like that. Yeah, but you know, after a while, it's like you can't dangle me in front of wolves for too long. So I just was like, yo, let me just go. Because you know what it was why it took me so long?
Starting point is 00:14:03 Because I was scared. You know what I'm saying? I always lived in projects, let me just go. Because you know what it was why it took me so long? Because I was scared, you know what I'm saying? I always lived in projects, living on my own. You know what I'm saying? And the lyrics you said, no matter how much loot I get, let's just tell the story. I gotta stay true to that, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, yeah, you was wild at half.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Right, but, you know, so, you know, I was a little scared. So I was like, you know, fuck it, I just went out on my own, became a grown man, I was like, fuck it, I gotta get my own crap, you know what I'm saying? Get on some grown man shit. Yeah, you can't, you know, fuck it. I just went out on my own, became a grown man. I was like, fuck it, I gotta get my own crack. You know what I'm saying? Get on some grown man shit. Yeah, you can't, you was way too big of an artist, way too big.
Starting point is 00:14:31 And what your block is famous, like people gotta know 12th Street, Ron Artest is the next building from you. Right. This is correct, right? That is correct. It's half building, Ron Artest building, and then Capone's building. And Capone's building right there.
Starting point is 00:14:46 And all of our families was all cool with each other. This is crazy. All of our family. So when I see Ron Ron on TV, Ron Artest on TV, like on the lake. We supposed to be calling him Metal World Peace. But we calling him Ron Ron. We calling him Ron Ron.
Starting point is 00:15:01 Nigga, your mama name is Ron Ron. We calling you Ron Ron. Get here, come here. You know, so when I see him and stuff like that, it's not like a thing where we be like, yo, oh shit, he from my projects. Nah, we all know each other. Like, it's like really family.
Starting point is 00:15:15 I seen Ron Ron in Club Liv with Nas. He pulled out a 1989 Nokia Farm and took a picture. I said, slime, you gotta step it up And carries when I'm still looking for you cares one to give you a fucking phone what kind of phone Yeah, my god, he's not a beeper. He was dead serious, though. He's dead He has a beep He said he has a beak. But we gotta work though, boy. Nah!
Starting point is 00:15:44 Apparently that's not... Listen, you can't get in KRS one direct. Him and Rakim is hard niggas to just reach direct. You gotta hit the person to person, and then that person... Has to beep that person. Yeah, they beep him. And you know, they get on ships and shit like that. Let's make some noise for KRS and God damn it.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Rakim. For him not responding to that shit Doc in Spain. I can't death, yeah. But that block in 12th Street, you had Ron Ron. Like, we used to, like when I was out there and I used to play ball, we used to think of Ron Ron as a butch, like he was the guy who came in to thug things out.
Starting point is 00:16:20 He really made it. Like, did you know that from the beginning? I mean, his father used to know his pops is real His pops used to have him out there and his brother 20 degree weather yes playing ball on the bus This is true and his father knocking him down like this So you already knew that when he did make I didn't think he was gonna make it But when he did make it I was like, oh, of course Yeah, you know it's kind of similar to Serena Williams and Venus Cerulean's story with Ron Ron.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Ron Ron, it was made to be tough. Like, people think that, like, you know, he's in the NBA and, you know. No, his pops did that. Like, he is a rude, like, nigga on that court, what I mean by, like, you know what I'm saying? Like, his pops taught him to be the toughest dude. His pops was a man's man. You know what I'm saying? And when you see him on the court
Starting point is 00:17:12 when he was doing his thing, it's not a mistake. You know what I'm saying? You'd be like, oh shit, people think that he's crazy, but he's not crazy, he was just made to play that way. So now Juvenile Hell came out before Illmatic, correct? Yeah, it did. It did. It did.
Starting point is 00:17:29 So did you see Nas recording Illmatic at any point? By the time he was recording Illmatic, me and him wasn't really hanging with each other no more, because he was just Columbia, just grabbed him, and whoever was in the media. So you were messing with him during the Juvenile Hell? Yeah, because we was teenagers together before even juvenile hell came out.
Starting point is 00:17:47 So we used to hang out. You went to 204 together? No, I never went to 204. You never went to 204? No. Queens Bridge niggas make some noise for 204. Everybody in Queens, and nobody's from Queens Bridge here. We have to assume that's a school.
Starting point is 00:18:01 We all not from New York. We don't know what 204 is. 204 was the school to go to. We set it in body in the trunk, me and I. I went to 125. I went to Sunset Senior High. Assume that's crazy. Holy shit. Right there in Sunnyside. Yeah, that's how I met Queensburg. Yo, it's a little fuck up my head up. Yeah, I was from left-rack. I got kicked out of all the schools in Corona, left-rack, East Elmhurst area. And they sent you to 125?
Starting point is 00:18:33 Yeah, I got kicked out of 227, kicked out of IS 61. I got kicked out of another school. Then they sent me to Ridgewood. I knew I was, they was preparing me for jail because there was no women in there. I was like, yo, hold up. They said, this is a 600 school. They gave me one more chance.
Starting point is 00:18:47 And I had to go to IS 125, 46 and Bliss on the 7th line. That's the stop. 46 and Bliss. You get out and the two niggas I met was Kayam Kapone Holley, which is Kapone. I call that Kapone. And LJ, a dude named LJ. Also from 12th Street. Also from 12th Street.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Also from 12th Street. See, I'm an honorary 12th Street member. Can you tell these niggas I'm an honorary? Yo, check. I'm an honorary 12th Street man, please? Listen, listen, I'm honorary, yes. Let me tell you something. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Uh-huh. When I first met Norrie, and Norrie was like hanging around and stuff like that, he was almost like, it was like he was from there. Mm-hmm. Like, for real. Nah, y'all accepted me. Like, he was almost like it was like he was from this like for real like he was like from there he just came in he fit in you know I'm saying or whatever whatever but uh I was locked up with twin yep and Lincoln and Lincoln no it's Sparfit Sparfit yes we just eating now latest
Starting point is 00:19:42 now latest is like gold in Sparfit. Make some noise for y'all niggas that never been to Sparfit. God damn it. God damn it. Make some noise. Yo, yo, come on. The crowd is wild. All right.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Yeah, so, yo, y'all history is so crazy. So you and P, because P is originally from Long Island. Y'all connected. Okay. Go ahead. Queen. P is from, originally from what I know, he's from like Queens,
Starting point is 00:20:08 and then his grandmother lives in Long Island. You can't just say Queens. Left Rack, Left Rack, my bad. All right, all right, yeah, that's all right. My bad, my bad. Go ahead, go ahead. So he was from Left Rack from what I knew. Yeah, because back then we used to call him Peewee,
Starting point is 00:20:21 like in Left Rack. Right, and we called him that too. Okay, cool. So he was from Left Rack. Why y'all call him Peewee? Hold on, Right, and we called him that too. Okay, cool. So, he was from... Why y'all call him Peewee? Hold on, we're forcing because Havoc is here. Is Amanda here? Is Amanda here? Where's Amanda? Oh, can I get another drink?
Starting point is 00:20:32 We're forcing. Oh, let's shout out. Havoc from all deep is here. We got bar attendance. Shout out to Best Buy, niggas. Yo, I told Hav outside, I said, I can't front. This is the first time. Bocic doesn't look good.
Starting point is 00:20:43 He said, y'all think he's looking good. We got servers. We looking good. We got pretty girls, parties. Shout out to Homie's Best Buy Liquor. Yo, let's shout out to Best Buy Liquor. They provided not only the liquor, but they provided the females because Havoc is here. And he's a very special guest.
Starting point is 00:20:58 He's a classic guy. And they got a spot in Kendall. They got a spot, two spots in Kendall. Naranja. I don't know how to pronounce that. What's that called? That's the hood, Naranja. Yeah, yeah, Naranja. That sound like orange but in Spanish. It is in Spanish, Arranja.

Starting point is 00:30:26 I mean, okay, I ain't even gonna go deep. But anyway, you know what I'm saying? I kind of heard about that. You heard about that? I kind of heard about that. But for the record, you definitely have nothing to do with not wanting to do a show with CNN. With Norrie and Capone?
Starting point is 00:30:44 With Norrie and Capone. Look, I'm gonna say, look, we're gonna do a show with CNN. With Nori and Capone? With Nori and Capone. Look, I'm gonna say, look, we gonna throw it on the table. Albert, Victor, Kiwan, and Kai. All the government names. There you go, there you go. And Kai Am. There you go, there you go.

Because if you're going to pay me, I'm going to be at the show wherever. I don't care who's even fucking there I don't care you know what I'm saying cuz you know. But I just cuz I just had to want to kill that rumor because at the end of the day you know Nas is they're alluding to the Nas Capone and Noriega Mob deep talk is that not the crazy did you hear this rumor?

I heard that rumor. Right, you heard that rumor. Let's make some noise for the rumor, god damn it! Let's make some noise for the rumor! That shit ain't gonna be reality. I heard that rumor, but you know what? That can become reality. I had a dude in Dubai. He was ready to give me 500,000. And I couldn't get in contact with y'all at one point.

Starting point is 00:32:47 Then I was like, you gotta have me on the show. Yes, I really, really, really respect that move. So I just wanted the people to know that for people who think there's a Marv D, Capone, or Riega Beef, there is not. I mean, there was, there was, whatever, back then. But we ain't talking about that. But to keep it real, to keep it real, it's like, okay, you know what I'm saying, I mean there was there was there was for it whatever back Keep it real to keep it real. It's like, okay, you know say all
Starting point is 00:33:14 Families and crews have a little friction going on or whatever it but it's nothing that never can't get fixed Right, you understand what I'm saying? Salute your glass for that. Let me salute your glass for that. I have it came man. I'm gonna lie. Starting point is 00:33:52 What's your name? Big Tim? I don't know if I should say it. I said a lot of niggas in the video so I was like, I gotta bring somebody with me. Big Tim. Oh okay. Bigger Big Tim from Flushing. So now I feel like you don't know how much I respect that because this rumor need to be the rest
Starting point is 00:34:09 and I feel like me, you, Nas, Mobb Deep, Capone and Noriega, I feel like that's something that we should do because we're not like fake friends. Like I really know you, you really know me. I really know Prodigy, Prodigy really know me, you really know Khy-Am. Like I know him and P shit, but listen Capone is not gonna do nothing not like I'm the boss of Capone, but that's over like prodigy
Starting point is 00:34:32 You know what that's just to the side and let's start over but even bombers he was respectful I don't say he said he just wanted to talk about listen Because if we said any more beat slander you wouldn't have came here and you would have known about He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations.
Starting point is 00:34:50 He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations.
Starting point is 00:34:58 He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. He's one of the confrontations. me just get you to the point. Prodigy was my man, like, me and you hung out a whole lot. But me and P, just, you know, when I found out
Starting point is 00:35:10 his left rack ties, I kinda took a liking to him, right? And you know what I mean? And me and P hung out so much. So the book threw me off. I'ma be honest, this is me, my point of view. I didn't read the book. I know. High five, crazy, crazy. I never seen didn't read the book. I know
Starting point is 00:35:29 I've never seen you big up the book or nothing like that, but we'll get to that later, right? So The book comes out I kind of took it as a little disrespect because I felt like I would never speak about that situation I never made records about that system shooting. Yeah the shooting. Yes. Yes. Yes. I didn't shoot at you half You know I'm saying like that day No, no, I purposely would never shoot a habit or product that's my word But I was soon that other news. Oh, they jump me But I never spoke about it. I never got money off of it So for him to put it in a book and at the end of the day if you throw my name in the air You the thing about it is it's gonna go up
Starting point is 00:36:23 But you gotta you can't control where it lands You might throw it up and just want to catch it like at that time. I was sitting back. I was like nah I'm not I'm not letting this go and in and just I'm gonna tell my side of the story shit Do you think I took it too far when I was going at him? Going to who prodigy I mean, you got your own man, you gotta do what you gotta do. I like your ass, that god damn Havoc is on the off side. Havoc is on the off side.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Havoc is on the off side. He's officially drink champ. You wanna smoke a blunt now? I'ma smoke a blunt. Not yet. I'ma smoke a blunt. Want some heroin? But nah, but you know when all that shit was going down
Starting point is 00:37:02 and all that crazy shit, it's like, come on man, that shit was like what, 20 years ago? Yeah, definitely man, definitely. And I would never want to disrespect people like Karate Joe, Ty Niddy. That's why I never made a rap about that. I remember that shit. You know what I'm saying? I never made a rap. So was that the first time it was brought up in the public?
Starting point is 00:37:20 With the book? Yeah, the book. That's the first time ever. And I'm going to keep it real. I spoke to P and P said, yo, I got you in the book, but there was no disrespect. So I was like, all right, cool. So I'm looking forward to this shit. Then this shit hits me from the background and I'm like, damn, so if you use my name,
Starting point is 00:37:37 I got a choice to like it or not like it. I didn't like it. So I had a choice and I responded the way I did. But it was all in jokes, it was all in fun. And I'm glad that you came here. I'm glad you, cause you know what, out of us, Capone and Noriega and Mobb D, I'm gonna give you B, the bravest one,
Starting point is 00:37:58 to come through and step forward and put this rumor to a motherfucking rest. Cause you could have been any place in the world tonight. Of course. But you chose to be here tonight. And I want to say make some fucking noise. Yeah. We're going to get this money.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Cabin, we're going to get this money. And mind you, when he hit us up, when he hit at least the Drink Champs Instagram, he didn't hit us up to be on the show. He was just saying, yo, y'all doing your thing. Like he was just showing love humbly. I really, I really am. So you got a new project, right? Let's talk about this new project.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Yes, yes. Let's put that in front your face. Alchemist. How did y'all meet Alchemist? They met Alchemist and then I met him later. Who's they? The people that Khaled talk about? Twin, Godfather, you know what I mean? They met Alchemist and then I met him later and I was like, oh shit, the nigga nice.
Starting point is 00:38:54 So I knew him ever since. Right. And what's the first beat y'all collaborated on, you and Alchemist? Me and him? Oh shit, man. Y'all been working for a minute though. Oh, shit, man. We never really- Y'all been working for a minute, though. Nah, but we never really collaborated on no beats.
Starting point is 00:39:08 We never, we never, it's either- Nah, him producing for y'all. Nah, he, yeah, like he did shit, like, since, like, what? 99 to 2000 or something, and started doing stuff for us. Stuff like that, so, you know, I was, I took a Leica to him, and I was like, you know, I don't be, you know, I'm not like a hog over the beats and shit. I was like, oh shit, I took a liking to him and I was like, you know, I don't be, you know, I'm not like a hog over the beats and shit. I was like, oh shit, you got a nigga to do beats?
Starting point is 00:39:29 Come on, let's do some beats. And he happened to just be nice. Now did Traj did he name you? Yes he did, indeed. Let's make some noise for Traj to be, man. He's been going through it. Where does that name come from? What's all that about? I met Traj back in 88 when he first came home. I guess he was locked up for like three years. Trag love you. Trag's Gaddafi or whatever.
Starting point is 00:39:51 Intelligent hoodlum? Yeah, that's like my mentor. You know what I mean? He used to bring me to WBLS and all these other little stations and stuff like that. To Maldi Marlhouse. And I didn't have a rap name. And I was like, yo, I don't have a rap name and I was like yo you know I don't got a rap name and he was like I'm gonna give you one of my names so his name was Havoc Traj tragedy tragic and then he just gave me Havoc. Wow and what year was this? 88. Wow. 1988. Damn. We opened it up to Serac. Make some noise for Amanda being our boy. Make some noise for Amanda being on point. You all happy? That's why I like it, being on point.
Starting point is 00:40:26 So what was your most memorable session you ever had? My most memorable session that I ever had being in the studio. The most memorable session that I ever had being in the studio was when we was working on Hello Nerf
Starting point is 00:40:42 and I got there first to the studio. P came second. He had just bought a new car, Tahoe or something like that. And then he let the rest of them go get some trees. And then maybe a half an hour later, or an hour later,
Starting point is 00:40:59 we found out that some of the crew got into a car accident and two of them died. I know what you're talking about, Twin, God Bless the Dead, Twin. Godfather was driving. Yeah, he was driving. So what session was that? What music was that making? So we did Godfather Part 3?
Starting point is 00:41:13 We was doing Hell on Earth. We was doing the Hell on Earth album. So that's the most memorable session that I ever had. That's not good memorable. Nah, I mean mean but it's memorable right at least you know prodigy had a warrant and the police was calling his phone he was like yo should I answer now I was like nigga man because Godfather already called us and said yo man niggas is hurt niggas is hurt and then the
Starting point is 00:41:41 police is calling next now I hear, Godfather was like the only one like who didn't, it had no cuts, nothing, and everybody else. It's always the drivers like always be the one that don't really obtain any injuries. But two people died and two others were like critically injured, but they lived. And did I hear that rumor correct?
Starting point is 00:42:01 Like they hit a cone? Was it a cone? You know when you're on the West Side Highway and you're driving uptown and you're getting off on 125th Street, they got that little Vata that's like only this big, you know what I mean? So if you miss your exit, but you're trying to get back on and you're doing 70 miles per hour,
Starting point is 00:42:20 the car's gonna flip over. So that's what happened. Damn, God bless, man. Yeah, God bless, I remember that time, man. So that was what happened. Damn, God bless, man. Yeah, God bless. I remember that time, man. So that was definitely one of the most memorable studio moments. I remember that time, 12th Street.
Starting point is 00:42:31 And another memorable moment was when we were- A good one, let's get a positive one. Yeah, let's get a positive one. You took us mad sad right there. I hate the King of Chams, I just want one. I hate the King of Chams. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, and we was in Electric Lady, right there, like on West Eighth or something like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know what that came out.
Starting point is 00:42:50 And then I came back, and one of my homies was like, your Prince is out there. I was like, get the fuck out of here. So he went and got Prince. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Your Prince? Rewind, rewind. Hold on, half.
Starting point is 00:42:59 You about to tell me you met Prince? Yes. You got to start all over, start all over. Start all over. Sorry. You're teasing that shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've never been in the vicinity of this thing. Yes I've never been in the vicinity of this Word yeah, and that's how I feel about Michael Jackson
Starting point is 00:43:17 So anyway, so we in the studio one of my homeboys is like yo princess out there I was like get the fuck out of it. It was like hell. Yeah, I'm pregnant again. He mad cool He fucking brought Prince in the studio Now I'm about to let. Now, Electric Lady, remember this is Jimi Hendrix. Now I'm about this tour, whatever I'm about to talk. Prince is like this. And he had heels on? And I'm short. Did he have, he always had heels on.
Starting point is 00:43:36 No, he just had what do we have on? He didn't have heels, number one. He wanted heels. Prince should have on heels. Not heels, not heels. Prince platforms. So I was making a beat beat and then I was like, holy shit, Prince. Did you play your beat for Prince?
Starting point is 00:43:51 Wait, he just hung out at that point? Yeah, I was like, yo, is there anything I need to do to the beat? He was like, hold on, that nigga got on the keyboard and just started, I swear to God. He's on a record though? He was that cool, yo. Wait, did he get on a record, did he work on your beat? Yes. And then Snoop rhymed on the beat.
Starting point is 00:44:09 And then Snoop rhymed on the beat. And this record came out? It came out. What record is this? It's called Dow Shall Not Kill. Listen to it. Oh my god. Let's make some noise for this.
Starting point is 00:44:20 But no credit to Prince on this. No credit to Prince on this. He probably walked away and said, don't give me credit. So, what did he play, the keys? The nigga walked out and didn't even say bye. How about that? Fuck the credit. He was like, shh.
Starting point is 00:44:34 Poof. Oh my god. Purple smoke. Oh my god. I'm like, we're on our way. Purple smoke. Yo, because producers live their illest life. Like, producers live their illest life.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Let's just keep it real. It's OK. No, no, no, producers live their illest life. Like producers live the illest life. Let's just keep it real. It's okay. No, no, no producers live the illest life, right? I mean because you guys not only get to make your own project, but you get to go out there like with the big, you wasn't there when Big laid the vocals? No, I wasn't there when Big laid the vocals. Who was you there like that blown you, that laid your vocals, laid their vocals
Starting point is 00:45:05 on one of your beats? Little Kim and Foxy. Together? Nah, nah, nah, they were together. Yo, I wasn't saying, nigga, where this record at? Nah, but I saw them each time, you know what I'm saying? Like, when I was working with Foxy, I seen her, lay her vocals, and then I seen Little Kim Kim Lay Huzz. So it was kind of dope.
Starting point is 00:45:27 Now we did LA LA right? Yeah. Now we did that together. Yeah we did. But they only went at y'all. Was y'all ever mad at us for that? Like why the fuck Pac-A say come on in here? That record was originally a Mobb Deep record right? No it was a original construction. It is our record though. The original white label said Mobb Deep record, right? No, it was a day record. It is a hard record. The original white label said Mobb Deep. No, that's because somebody probably... Whoever, whatever. They had that original.
Starting point is 00:45:51 That was a day record. That was a day record and they asked us to get on it. Exactly. And we was like, we could have been like, no, I ain't fucking with you. That's right. That's right. Yeah, I think you should have stayed, my brother. My very first record.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Who was doing the style imitations of the West Coast, all the slang? Who was doing that? The intro very first was doing the imitations of the west coast all the slang who's doing that The intro yeah, I don't cuz look this is this is how I remember it you tell me if you remember it good um I'm having to be in Queens Bridge. Just hanging out like I love 12th Street. That was I felt like I was a 12th Street nigga I'm from 57. I'm Honorary 12th Street maker, right? Okay, boom. So we out there and then Stretch Armstrong is doing this bad boy mixtape. You remember? I remember that mixtape.
Starting point is 00:46:30 You remember it was the bad boy mixtape. I have that mixtape. I don't remember it, but I remember it. Yeah, this is what it is originally for. So it was a freestyler in a sense. In a sense it was a freestyler. So that day a dude named Chaz from my hood, I remember, he was the flyest nigga from my hood, but he was the craziest nigga, right?
Starting point is 00:46:48 So Chaz just outside, he confused, he playing me New York, New York. He like, yo, you think they dissing us? So I'm like, I don't know. I go to Queens Bridge to meet up. We happen to be there and stretch Armstrong calls and says, let's come to the studio. So I think you had the turquoise blazer. Yes, I did.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Yeah, my memory is a little good. You had the turquoise blazer. So let me do that. Listen, just in case y'all thinking of a blazer now, back then, a blazer was like a fucking caddy. Yeah, I don't fucking remember that. So look. This guy's got some memory of a turtle. So look I can't tell you what happened yesterday but I can tell you when I come up I remember this shit.
Starting point is 00:47:33 I don't fucking remember that. So everybody we met at Stretch Armstrong's crib and I think back then Havoc had already gave us beats but we ain't putting nothing out. But the original's on the original Dog Pound beat. So this is what happened. That's what I did. They asked us for it. Stretch asked.
Starting point is 00:47:50 Yeah, I think we had already did that. And then Marley Mar did the remix. So what, no, no, no, no, no. So what happened is, this is LA LA. So what happened, Stretch, I said to Stretch, yo, I remember Chaz had just played me this. So I asked him. He was on something called a DJ list. Back then, back in the days, you could send somebody a record and two months in advance and your shit wouldn't be bootleg.
Starting point is 00:48:14 You know what I'm saying? Because if he was on a DJ list, it was just in the DJs. So I asked Stretch to pull it up. We heard New York, New York. We couldn't determine if they were dissing us or not. So technically, we didn't diss them. We just rhymed, correct? No, y'all dissed them.
Starting point is 00:48:30 No, we dissed them in the video. I always thought it was a diss record. I always thought it was a diss record. But I remember it was Prodigy's verse. They took it there because he said, he said, JFK on our way to LA. And remember, remember. And then he used that on y'all album later. But the original LA LA with all five of us.
Starting point is 00:48:54 Prodigy said NYC, UNI verse Supremacy, Havoc and P Queens niggas so it seemed to be mega. Got word back from Noriega. And that was on original LA LA boom oh I'm gonna break it down he did that one on right hold on hold on then he's ready to go somewhere else no it first is somewhere else but it was originally on LA LA he took it off and when he took it off I remember we calling Steve Griffin Steve looking Steve Rifkin was like,
Starting point is 00:49:26 no he doesn't want to be a part of this. You can't. Really? Yeah, you didn't. Damn, you didn't even know about it. Make some noise so it happens. Who? I didn't want to be a part of it? No, you stayed a part of it. Oh yeah. Yeah, let's make some noise so it happens. Stayed a part of it. But from what I heard, now I never heard this from Prodigy or Steve Rifkin myself, but from what I heard, Steve Rifkin said Prodigy didn't want to do it, and then the verse came off. The day that we shot the video is the day it came out,
Starting point is 00:49:54 and you was only supposed to come to the video, and then Prodigy showed up. He was right there. He was in the video. That's right, that's right. Because it was an ill song. So he did his verse then in the video? No.
Starting point is 00:50:04 Oh, no. He was just like, LA, LA, pink city of dreams. Right, right, right. Shit was real. Are you saying it wasn't a diss track? Who said that? No, no, no. But then. Cause that intro was diss.
Starting point is 00:50:15 No, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was replaced. But. But we heard it. We all heard it. But then, then that sounded like live nigga rap. That was it. Then he, that's when he used that it. That's when he used that verse.
Starting point is 00:50:25 That's when he used that verse. Originally, LA LA, and then here's my question. Is Tupac came at y'all, you know this is my record. Did you ever at one point want to be like, it's them niggas record. Like what? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Like that's my question.
Starting point is 00:50:41 But I didn't give a fuck. Yeah, yeah. Cause I was like. Cause what did y'all do? What was the record? I loved the record. You just dropped it too late when you went back and popped. Drop a jam on it.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Oh yeah. Drop a jam on it. Yeah, that was a dick. But I didn't care though because I was like, yo, this nigga Tupac, that nigga from Juice, you know what I'm saying? Like saying our name. So I was like, I don't give a fuck. Like who gives a fuck? You know what I'm saying? Like saying our name. So I was like, I don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Who gives a fuck, you know what I'm saying? Because we got like 100 queens missing with us. We would fucking kill you. But I love Tupac, though. But at the time. Fuck me, but at the time. But at the time.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Did you realize how beef, I mean, how big that moment was? Like, it was huge. like for two box to disuse this like you you go platinum or something like I'm keeping it real but that's how I think it was hard to buy the original petty but I wanted to I was like, yo what the fuck, that's Capponi, no Riega shit. But then I thought about it, I said, I was super broke at that moment. So I couldn't afford no fucking Tupac beef, but they came at ya.
Starting point is 00:51:51 It's a fact, my nigga. Like at one point, on one arm I was mad that he did steal, but then on the other arm, I was like, holy shit, I wiped my sweat. And what y'all went back? I didn't give a fuck. You didn't give a fuck, and you dropped a gym on her. We did drop a gym on her.
Starting point is 00:52:05 It's a crazy record. Because I always thought that even if we did see each other, it was going to be like whatever. It wasn't going to be no real shit. Right. We come from the hood, so the real shit is in the hood. These other niggas is just rappers. This is real shit right there. This is real shit right there. The fans and the people
Starting point is 00:52:28 want to know this LA LA story. This is dope. You did my first video. When that LA LA shit was out, believe me, we was going to LA under aliases. We couldn't just, because Biggie got killed. I remember this time. That's true. At this time. What's the chronological order of that though? So when LA LA came out, what year is that? 96. And Biggie had died when?
Starting point is 00:52:54 96. No, no, no, Google, Google, Google. I could swear that Biggie hadn't died yet when y'all put that record out. Nah, he's here. No, cause Pac died first, then Biggie dies. Nah, nah, nah, we need the Googles. So died first, then Biggie dies. No, no, no. We need to Googles. So this is way before Biggie had passed.
Starting point is 00:53:07 When Biggie and Pac died, right? Yeah. Pac was in 97. Biggie hadn't passed, for sure. Pac was in 97. Yeah. All right. Biggie was six months later.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Yeah. So it's still 97? But still, what'd you say? You went in alias names? All I know is I remember, like that when all of that stuff was going down Which is crazy with it was the East Coast West Coast beef somebody probably didn't even fucking die yet Yeah, you understand what I'm saying so when they did die You understand it was is like okay?
Starting point is 00:53:39 bulletproof cars names under aliases But California is a market that you have to be in to sell records. It's like a huge market. And it's one of our number one markets to this day. You understand what I'm saying? And I'm sure you can agree. Yeah, I love California. I'm out there August 27th. I got a crib out there. So it's like, you know. Let's make some noise for Havoc Flossin
Starting point is 00:54:10 Have a your old school nigga. I just need you have a time share. I'll have it rolled up in a yellow can Let's make some noise for that nigga You got a you that's some old school shit because because my house because my uber account was compromised No, so when I use my Uber somebody knows I'm using the Uber. How does someone compromise you? Wait, wait, wait. Yeah, you have to explain this because I want to watch out for this. I don't even want to explain it. When I use the Uber somebody knows I'm using the Uber. You're not good with computers. One time you got tapped, right? They said that you said shit. Like, you're not good with computers, right? You need to get the original phonetaire. That's in segue. That's in segue. He's like, oh shit, you didn't fucking up with Capone.
Starting point is 00:54:48 You did that with your ass. Was those messages true? Like, fuck it, let's just keep it real. Let's go with that. If niggas see the messages I send to Capone, shit. It's all good. It's the same shit. You went a little too far.
Starting point is 00:55:04 You went a little too far. I don. You called him a faggot and all that. You went a little too far. I don't even want to relive that moment, but I was just, I was out of my mind at that second. And I didn't mean it. Yo, listen, as a partner, I totally understood that shit. Listen, I ain't- No, but I didn't mean it, though.
Starting point is 00:55:16 I totally understood it. But I didn't mean it when I said it. Listen, nigga, if you could see the shit that we say to each other, like, in the middle of an argument There's no respect that you come back later and be like, you know my bad my of course we fight We fight we fight dirty How many fights you and Pia I'm gonna just throw that out there. We just throw that out there
Starting point is 00:55:45 Who is in the fight, you and me? I'm always going to win against any of you. Let's go, let's go, let's go! Let's go! Let's go! Nah, nah. You gassing it up. You snuffed him in Vegas, right?
Starting point is 00:55:56 Of course I'm going to get gassed up. My security is like 200 pounds. I always tell him. We ain't talking about it. It's your brother. Security can't be involved when it's your brother. Anyway. Anyway. You snuffed him in Vegas, right? No, no, no talking about it. It's your brother. Security champion barb and it's your brother. Anyway. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:56:06 You snuffed him in Vegas, right? Something like that? No, no, no. You foul. You foul, man. You are foul. That's definitely a lie. That's definitely a lie.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I heard this. I heard this in the room. The room is scary. Yeah, the room is scary. Now, I got to ask. You know, people hit me up on the DMs. I got to, like, I got to, you know, I got a job to do. You didn't even check your DMs.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Stop lying. Yeah. On my Instagram, yo, my DMs is getting scary on my Instagram. I searched through, because, like, I would, Now you to do after. You didn't even check your DMs, stop lying. On my Instagram, my DMs is getting scary on my Instagram. I searched through, cause like, Now you check them after. There's two different DMs, right? There's one DM, No, there's only one DM. From people who follow you,
Starting point is 00:56:33 and then there's DMs from people who follow you. Oh yeah, they're requesting. Oh, those niggas is foul. Oh yeah, and they send you pictures of some crazy shit. Yo, listen, I hook up on the computer too, having. Listen, look, yeah, yeah, those niggas is foul. They be asking me weird shit. Yeah, I don't know about those things.
Starting point is 00:56:48 All right, let's not go there. All right, all right. All right. I know a lot of cops, and they get asked all the time, have you ever had to shoot your gun? Sometimes the answer is yes, but there's a company dedicated to a future where the answer will always be no.

Edgar Hoover in a hell-bent effort to sabotage a war.

The FBI went around to all their neighbors and said to them, do you think these people are good Americans? It's got heists, tragedy, a trial of the century, and the god-damnedest love story you've ever heard. What was y'all worst fight like you and Pia? Our worst fight. Cuz partners gotta fight. That's how you know the relationship is real. Like if you ain't snuff your nigga one time, BAM
Starting point is 01:01:37 Y'all niggas don't love each other. That's not true. For real. Definitely not true. Like I'm talking about like when you got 20 years together. I'm doing my dogs 20 something years. Yeah yeah because when money is involved I'm talking about money. Money money money. You gotta snuff your nigga one time. No no. It's a rap after that. You're gonna snuff me. I'm gonna keep it. We never had a fight. You never had a fight. You're not in the breakfast club. You're not doing like. No we really didn't. We never had a fight. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're not doing like. No you're notass, man. You're not in the breakfast club. You're not doing, uh, like... No, we really didn't. We never had a fight. No, no, no. Never. But, yo, we came close. I don't believe you, yeah. We came close. We came close to a fight.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Come on, snap me. We came close. I never, never, never put my hands up here. Because, like, listen, I know you're lying, it's okay. No, I'm serious. But you're protecting the people, and that's a great thing. No, I'm serious. That's a great thing. You gotta take it out of the board, man.
Starting point is 01:02:30 I'm gonna tell you when you had a fight with him. Okay, wait. When he came home from jail. That's the same time I had a fight with Capone. When them niggas come home from jail, this is where we fucked up, right? Me and you. Okay.
Starting point is 01:02:40 You gotta leave a nigga three months. After the nigga come home from jail, the niggas still smell like core craft soap. You gotta leave him alone for three months. We try to hold these niggas down, and then you gotta fuck them up. Let's keep it real. Come on, Havoc, we heard you beat Rodergy up before.
Starting point is 01:02:59 Let's make some noise right there. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's a joke, it's a joke. This is Drink Champs, we petty sorry, it's a joke. It's a joke. This is drink champs. We petty and we retarded over here. I love you. I love you. I don't think he did.
Starting point is 01:03:10 I don't think he did. I don't think he did. I ain't going to lie. I think Capone is the only draw I had. Like it was a draw. He snuffed me though first. It was a fact. He came from jail.
Starting point is 01:03:21 And it still be in him. It still be in him. It should still be in him. So you got to slam him on the head. You got to slam him on the head. And it's still be in them like it's still be in just still be you gotta slam over there Gotta slam on I've seen poem do some foul shit right after you came out of there. I don't listen. Yes Drain drain. This is 12. We see the elevators doesn't run in 12th Street Is it like that in 12th Street? It's in the water. Let's make some noise for 12th Street water beer I'm so proud that you came through because you know this is all this shit is jokes and
Starting point is 01:03:48 laughs you know I'm saying like the people that you're a legend man my dude you like you've done so much historical monumental shit and we've done it you know I'm saying seeing each other grow and I just I just the reason why we joking and laughing is I want people to know because at the end of the day I can't interview somebody at Drink Champs who don't want to do Drink Champs. Like I can't- They got to know what it is. I can't sleep this. But you're about to start getting a lot of interviews of like-
Starting point is 01:04:15 No, I mean our shit is ringing off the hook. But we stopped everything for you and we got, guess what? We also got, what's that called? Bar, what does it go? Bartenders? A bartender. A bartender, we got a bartender. You confused me, man.
Starting point is 01:04:29 I forgot, like, I wanted to make sure I wasn't saying the guy. What is it, because it's bartender? We have a bartender, we have a server. What's the guy version of bartender? It's the same shit? A bartender. A bartender.
Starting point is 01:04:40 There's no gender in the bartender. There's no gender in the bartender? Yo, I think that hip hop should have our own race. You think I'm retarded? Our own race? Who said that in the last episode? I did, nigga. Was it you? I thought it was a favorite banner.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Hold on, our own race? I feel like you should check. Like hip hop is a race. Like hip hop is a race. Who's like white, black, hip hop, and they go hip hop? Yup. I understand that. Like a W Hotel is my favorite hotel, right? I The W hotel is my favorite hotel, right?
Starting point is 01:05:06 My soon that's my favorite hotels right and in the W hotel whatever with W hotel you got you got the gay flag out there I don't care. I'm good Like I don't know. Can we make a hip-hop flag? Homie here, what's this thing? Hoi can make it. Are you with me on this? On the Drink Champs, yes, you start a contest. Somebody make the hip-hop flag. Now we got Homie who makes the club flag.
Starting point is 01:05:36 You know how they got the Jordan thing like that? It should be like a hip-hop flag. Yeah, sure. Like I am with that. A contest. Just think about it. Hold on, who told you to open a rose? Hold on, hold on. We're going to save that for afterwards. Hold on. Everybody else is saying what to do. Hold on, nobody else. No, no, no. We're just sitting here. You have to listen to this for a while. Unless Best Buy liquor tells you to, my man, what's my man's name? It's Biggie. Deep, Deep, what up? Deep, Biggie, come on.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Hold on, because we're staying right here. But listen. But listen, listen, this is real shit, right? Okay. Like, like we should have responsibility of putting people in office. Like I told Tyler E. Kweli, he came here and he was speaking all this shit, you know, great shit about how we reform and do shit. But I say you should run for either mayor or Brooklyn council, council, like the, or the mayor of Brooklyn. You know they do shit like-
Starting point is 01:06:26 So why don't he? This is what I'm trying to do. Nah, I think he was down to do it, but he didn't want to talk about it yet. Now we told David Banner, run for Mississippi or LA. This is, and now- But you know what though? When niggas be running for office, a lot of skeletons start coming out. Donald Trump.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Donald Trump is discreet. He's like, he's changing that shit. He might be fucking around to be the next president. You could have any skeleton at that point. Look, so you telling me the shit that Donald Trump do, right? But he's white. But he's white. Yeah, but didn't he change-
Starting point is 01:06:55 No, but I think the shit you said was genius. The smack DVD shit was genius. That's curious, man. It's like a smack DVD. He turned politics into a freestyle battle. Right. So what I'm saying is that's why we can't win under being black people, but we can win under being hip hop. You understand what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:07:10 We have people register as a hip hopper. A party. You gotta make up your mind. Is it a race or a party? It's both. But we'll never win. Listen, I'm the guy who come over with it. You can't be a race and a party.
Starting point is 01:07:21 Yeah, why not, man? Nah, that'd be racist at that point. We gotta change some new shit. Hey, hip hopper. Like, they already hate us. But what I'm saying is, we can actually turn the world around. If, if-
Starting point is 01:07:31 Hip hop owns the world right now. Yeah, but we don't- Culturally, culturally. Yeah, but we don't got the power. We don't got the power. We could, if we network everybody. That's what he's saying, that's what he's saying. That's what I'm saying, network everybody.
Starting point is 01:07:43 We negate everybody around the world. And we don't need to have meetings, but you register under hip hop. So you could be any fucking nationality and you register under hip hop. But that's a part. That's a different thing. I think that's a good idea. I'm saying, I'm with both of those. Because let's just say, let's just say man, like you know, hip hop is crazy. Like you have brothers like Screwball from Queens Bridge. You know what I'm saying? saying legends and one of them passed away, right? How many of the two of them passed away? I want Screwball one of them. Yeah, so why wouldn't hip-hop come like like it shouldn't be mob deep responsibility
Starting point is 01:08:16 It should be hip-hop Responsibility when a person has dedicated their life to this culture and this thing. Like right now- We should have insurance policies for ourselves. Health insurance for ourselves. This is what K.R.R.S. was saying, but he's been saying that. He's been saying that. Even bigger than that. Do you agree with that?
Starting point is 01:08:32 Like if you are an actor, this sag, this all this shit, you ain't got shit for hip hop, nigga. You ball and bust your leg. Music should happen in hip hop music. I would love to agree with you, but it's all just about getting fucking insurance. Period, as a human being as a person individual saying cuz motherfuckers be dying and leaving a
Starting point is 01:08:49 Family with the bill you know they're saying the shit like that when they could just get life insurance and life insurance is available For anybody and it don't cost that much. It's true, but you're a part of a legendary group You don't get money for the rest of your life What about people who dedicated their life to this game and can't get another dollar out this game? But they they they spent every dollar Give an example give an example cuz like a like cuz you can have Block like a school ball winning in like a sporty D I'm gonna school ball like a cool Herc like cool her pioneers and like if cool her kiss it
Starting point is 01:09:24 That was how that's originally how even Jayay-z was a part of that movement I think originally what movie is that cool her in Africa bambara and all them should have some kind of Man if you're a sports agent and you get fucked up. There's something to protect you right now if you betray Did you make making bread to get health insurance and life insurance. Right. You know what I'm saying? If you in the hood, if you fucking stupid enough not to get Medicaid, then you fucking just stupid enough not to get Medicaid.
Starting point is 01:09:56 No, but you don't feel like people who dedicated their life. Like at the end of the day- Oh, you talking about rappers and artists and stuff like that. I think when you said S.A.G., that's a perfect example of what I should have. When they made the... Of course, this is not an organization for people to put their money in hip hop. Musicians at the very least. Right, for hip hop.
Starting point is 01:10:12 But at the same time, when you do make money, you shouldn't just spend it on jewelry and cars and all of this shit and expect me to feel sorry for you ten years later. So is that the culture's responsibility too? Because we teaching that too. It's not the culture, it's your responsibility as a person. Right. But if the culture's teaching that to the youth that doesn't know any better and they grow up in that, I'm just saying. The culture's not really teaching that because they're not even advocating. That's what I'm saying. We shouldn't be like boxing. In boxing, there's no hoes bar. You just get your money and that's it. But every other sport, they have
Starting point is 01:10:45 unions, and they have shit like this. No, no, no, but wait. Sports doesn't have it. Hip-hop shouldn't be like that. When I do a movie, I sign up, these motherfuckers pay me for as long as this movie is being played. You know what I'm saying? That shit is real shit. Why hip-hop can't do that so and then we have a union where we we take a percentage out and No a union is definitely I think that's a game KMF1 get sick That's good
Starting point is 01:11:13 KMF1 get sick He get some real shit Pay into the union This shit be $500,000 And none of us got to come out of our pocket because we've been paying monthly No no no no no no no no But think about it But think about it to run that? But think about it. Ah!
Starting point is 01:11:26 But think about it. But think about it. But think about it. What about when you start running into lazy rappers? That's what I'm saying. No, no. You gotta pay into it. You gotta qualify.
Starting point is 01:11:33 And you gotta pay into it. You gotta qualify. And qualify. Yeah, but, okay, alright. So you're not gonna have no hip hopers on hip hop welfare. I mean, it's like Sag. When he said Sag, that made sense. Wait, I don't understand. Wait, hip hop welfare? What do you mean, break this down? That was off. I like that. Because it would hip-hop welfare. I mean it's like SAC. When he said SAC that made sense. Wait, I don't understand. Wait, hip-hop welfare?
Starting point is 01:11:46 Wait, break this down. That was off. I like that. Because it would become hip-hop welfare. Because somebody would be like, I'm a rapper just to get benefits. No, but that doesn't happen with SAC. You gotta put it in that work. You gotta put it in. It's like a pension. What's work? It's like a pension. Nah, you gotta show your work. Yeah. Like you know how you...
Starting point is 01:12:02 Like publishing in sets. Like if you work for 20 years, it's a pension. You publishing a set like like if you work with You get a pension at the end of your job, correct? Like if you work for somewhere get a what a pension I know that I watch King of Queens and King of Queens doesn't happen. He gets a pension at the end of his shit. He worked for UPS and that's what happens in real life, right? But you know what though? Why we can't have that in hip hop? We get a pension. It's not realistic because there's too many fucking rappers. No, but I'm saying you gotta put in that 20, 20.
Starting point is 01:12:45 You gotta put in your work and you gotta buy into it. But what's work? You gotta buy into it though. Work is great. If you ain't making money, you ain't gonna buy into shit. Long jump in. You know what I'm saying? And like publishing, if your record ain't doing nothing,
Starting point is 01:12:57 publishing ain't gonna pay. So we have to have a system. How about when you make money, just buy yourself some healthcare? That's it. Yeah, but what I'm saying is what about the niggas like God bless like like, uh, ODB or DMX They ain't gonna get no health care. I have it. Those are my niggas. God bless them. They some wild niggas.
Starting point is 01:13:18 And I loved them. Before it got to where it got like a cool her do you not think that maybe someone like a cool her Deserve something back from the culture? Do we deserve something back from the culture? Of course. Being that the culture was built on his back. Definitely, definitely. Yes, hell yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:36 But he's there before an infrastructure. Before the infrastructure. Before industry was invested in hip hop, before anybody even believed in hip-hop as a viable means. Yeah, but if you get somewhere where, you know what I'm saying, before the infrastructure didn't, you know, what can I say? What can I say? But anyway, let's get on to the topic.
Starting point is 01:13:57 No, this is real. I'm sorry. I was getting political because that's something that really is close to my heart. It's like, if you put in 20 years of work if you put in 20 years of work anybody put in 20 years of work and You know some people not know how to reinvent themselves Some people don't know how to produce beats like some people don't know how to do a podcast some people don't know how to DJ you know saying what happens like you know um You look at the NBA these guys stop stop playing for the NBA and they have options.
Starting point is 01:14:27 Like as a rapper, why can't we retire and say, I put in that work, I paid my insurance, I want my insurance back. Boom! And you get a nice lump sum, you get to go to Barbados and chase chicks that look like Beanie. But you have to put in your work before that would happen. That's what he says. But he says you can't just be that. Because you know what would in your work before that would happen. That's what he's saying.
Starting point is 01:14:46 You can't just be that. You can't be Joe Small on Toulouse. This is what'll happen when you start thinking like that. When you become a rapper, you join into this thing, and then you're going to get healthcare. It's just going to drive the prices down when you go to perform. If you was going to get paid $5,000, now you're only going only gonna get paid $200 if everybody is getting into this system So it's a capitalistic market. You understand what I'm saying? And it's a free market. You understand
Starting point is 01:15:13 So if you want to put restrictions on it and regulations then cool But next time you go to Russia or Switzerland to do a show they only gonna give you $200 No, no, no, no no that's what's gonna happen if you make it a system I don't see how that would happen no no no no it will happen if it's a system if it's a he's saying something it would drive it would drive a dream champs to a whole I like this like this is different I didn't want another drink no more like that like, it's like Daz. You see Daz, like Daz, like Daz did all these amazing records and his royalty checks. Daz's retirement is uh, his bud shit. Yeah his royalty check, but like, but it's like you did, his publishing is crazy.
Starting point is 01:15:55 His publishing is bananas. Your publishing gotta be crazy like this and and this is the thing about it, you're blessed. There's people who is not. Right. So whose fault is that though? I don't know, I'm asking. No, I don't think it should be. The convo over there is fucking me up. Okay. So what I'm saying is, if the records ain't good, it shouldn't be good. The concept sounds good, but once you do the concept, it's going to drive prices down for the rest of the people that's trying to get paid, and it's not going to be a free market, no more. It's like we're having a producer. trying to get paid and it's not gonna be a free market. No, it's like we're having a producers. This is a game.
Starting point is 01:16:25 Hey, Jack shit. Now, right. They're getting paid less. But we rely on publishing. You understand what I'm saying? So I don't give a fuck what you give me a friend because I'm already sitting on them living. I got my house.
Starting point is 01:16:39 I don't care what you give me. I'm supposed to give me 75% of the publishing. I'm more happier with that because that's going to last longer and then my kids can get that. Because this is for my kids now. You know what I'm saying? So the publishing in turn is doing what we're talking about in a sense. Pretty much, but not directly.
Starting point is 01:16:58 You understand what I'm saying? But it's a good concept, hip hop, insurance, and this, that, and the third, but it'll just drive prices down and people away from the business. Okay, let's get back dump. These folks are on it. All right, now. Did I tell you my favorite Havoc rhyme? That girl who was in the studio, she's not going.
Starting point is 01:17:15 Yeah, Amanda. Amanda paid attention. She paid attention to the credit. Listen, did I tell you my favorite Havoc rhyme? Did I ever say that just now? No, no, go. Let's go. Go ahead. We need drinks, we need ice, we need everything. She paid attention to the crap.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Listen, did I tell you my favorite Havoc rhyme? Did I ever say that just now? No, no, let's go, let's hear it. On the infamous album, you said, I keep it real, packed still like my nigga YG. Come on, say the rhyme with me, Havoc. When the fool try to play me, wear the muck, then I'm Swayze. Forever wild and... Come on, you don't know your shit. Come on, Havoc. You don't do that, that's my favorite rhyme. I'm up and I'm Swayze forever wildin'
Starting point is 01:17:45 Come on you don't know your shit come on! Y'all don't do that, that's my favorite rhyme come on Forever wildin' that's how we live up in the bridge You must hit skid Cop back the Gat hit a nigga like a big 25 knockin' I'm gettin' light Forever burnin' to hell niggas is tripe It's the semi auto You can bring it on yo I'm pull life, forever burning in hell Niggas is trite, it's the semi auto
Starting point is 01:18:06 You can bring it on yo, I'm pullin' out strippin' niggas Just like a porno, flick, sick, tomorrow thick Go past when I click, it get, woo I'm on some bullshit, that's how I was raised Each level of the stage, I have a crime of death, plaisin', pool to alcohol, walk before you crawl I'm in this, the witness, you gonna take a fall The infamous Queens Brick, you wanna sing it
Starting point is 01:18:31 Creepin' on those who kept sleepin' I'm done ever do that, I'm runnin' with two Macs And plus my crew back, it's my heavy move I choose, give the crew some blues I'm open off to daily, or or Baby or get sprayed with the sweeper Cause I'm my brother's keeper, the grand reaper Roll it with nothing but big baddies and big heaters Blow your d-tie, leave you marked like Adidas Jiggy, I know how to fit you Pretty boy niggas frontin' hard is the issue
Starting point is 01:19:00 Word to my arm boy you get folded, old and molded When I get benched every rhyme is the truth that I must get Crossed put right on your back And I can't get up The 41st The 41st side to you know how to do violate motherfucker. I'ma see you with the lending is the start of the engine setting it again and again That rhyme is so powerful When I met YG
Starting point is 01:19:44 It's so powerful that when I met YG Like yo, listen man, I'm gonna be honest, I hated these rumors about us because if there wasn't no Mobb Deep, there wouldn't have been no CNN. And if we never said that, I'm going to say it in front of your face, I'm going to say it in front of everybody, we 100%, you paved the way for us. Now I've paved the way for y'all. Y'all paved the way for us. And this is how life is supposed to be. We supposed to get money for the rest of our life and be old niggas and drinking Tito's
Starting point is 01:20:32 vodka on a goddamn podcast, getting drinks from a chick named Amanda. Shit is live. That's not too bad. You know what I'm saying, Hef? That's not too bad. We can't I'm saying, Half? That's not too bad. We can't complain right now. I can't complain. But yo man, yeah that shit, you know.
Starting point is 01:20:51 You got your new album, we've totally forgot. Come on. This is up right now? Is there a camera somewhere? Yeah right here, right here. You've been taped the whole time. You can do a commercial right now. This is not a first week album, this is one of them albums that you grinded out for a lot of weeks.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Right. Right. And this is called The Silent Partner. You know what I mean? And it's produced by the Alchemists and stuff like that. Shout out to the Alchemists. The whole project? Yeah, he did the whole project.
Starting point is 01:21:17 If you look at it, it looks like a jazz album. Jazzmatazz. Jazzmatazz. You know what I mean? But you know, I don't give a fuck. Baby girl, can I get another one? We have Alchemists on. I'm happy for another one. Google and all that. You know what I mean? But you know, I don't give a fuck. Baby girl, can I get another one?
Starting point is 01:21:26 We're going to have Alchemist on YouTube. I'm having one of the other ones. We're not letting Havoc leave yet. This shit's dope. Thank you, baby girl. We're not letting Havoc leave yet. Not yet. The album's dope?
Starting point is 01:21:34 Wow. Oh, you heard it? Thank you. Thank you. Now, what's left for you? Oh man, there's so much going on. I just wrote a screenplay, you know what I'm saying? And called it, and it's going to be on the album.
Starting point is 01:21:42 And it's going to be on the album. And it's going to be on the album. And it's going to be on the album. And it's going to be on the album. And it's going to be on the album. And it's going to be on the album., there's so much going on. I just wrote a screenplay entitled Black Sheep. The movie that I'm about to put out. What's it about, roughly? Roughly, it's about a black kid that was raised by a Mexican family since he was a toddler.
Starting point is 01:22:02 West Coast, East Coast. I told you this nigga went to art and design. Listen, art and design is a real school. What inspired that story? You gotta be rich or smart to go to art and design. It's a fact. Me living in Cali, me living in Cali and just being out there and just checking it out, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:22:17 It's all good. But my next movie is called Killer Black, which is more straightforward. You know what I'm saying? Your brother, right? Yeah, it's going to be loosely. I love Killer Black. Let's make some noise for Killer Black.
Starting point is 01:22:25 And you knew my brother. Yes. I love Killer Black. He was the realest nigga. You knew my brother. Yeah, he was a great guy, B. Great guy. And I, you know, imagine, you know,
Starting point is 01:22:36 that's my brother and he's not here right now. So I got a movie loosely based on him that I wrote. And it's not just bullshit like you know hood flicks or whatever it is. Did you agree with Prodigy's book? Like let's just be honest. He said he didn't read it. No no no no I'm gonna be honest with you and I'm gonna say it again.
Starting point is 01:22:56 I didn't read it and the little things that I did read I didn't agree with it but I respected it because that was his story. His point of view. That was his point of view. So I was like, okay, cool. And me and Prodigy is around each other 24, seven days a week. You know what I'm saying? So, you know. His life is yours. Your life is yours. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:23:21 So would you ever write a book like that? And like, would I, like, cause I assume. If I would have wrote a book like that, I would have wrote it, but now that he wrote a book like that, I won't write one. So you write the movie. You write the movie. You know, it's whatever it is.
Starting point is 01:23:35 So your brother, your brother's a Queens legend. Not only a Queens-based legend, he was like one of the realest of the realest. Like, is that your older brother or your younger brother? He's my younger brother, He's my younger brother. He's my little brother. Your little brother, wow. God bless, man.
Starting point is 01:23:52 God bless you, my brother. But yeah, you know, so my next green play that I wrote is called Killer Black, and it's loosely based on my brother's story. You know, you've never had a brother before. It's not going to be like a shoot him up, bang bang type of film, but it's going to really get inside the depths of my career and shit like that. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:24:17 What was going on? Nah, nah, nah. Yo, your whole block, I'm just saying your block was- How much time we got left? Fucking black is about the bus Maybe we don't We do like five more minutes to come back yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah smoke a bogey. yeah, yeah, we can do like five ten more minutes I learned that from Bob. Oh, yeah, we thought about this years ago Charlamagne told me he said he came on our shit
Starting point is 01:25:01 He said yo see I can't say no to y'all because y'all the drink champs and y'all actually have drinks. He said the breakfast club never have breakfast. I was like, oh shit. The concept we have forever. Breakfast and they think it's going to sleep. It just took us a while to get it off the ground. And we take it and we all in?
Starting point is 01:25:20 But yo, but yo, who thought of that? Both of us. With the drinks right here. This is conceptual. For real? With the drinks right here? Me and this nigga used to hang out, right? This is how the drink champs, in my mind,
Starting point is 01:25:31 you got a totally different story and it's fucking great. What, I have a different story? No, I'm just, in my mind, you have a different story, because in my mind, we used to hang out, I used to record in his studio. In Kendall, yeah. Yeah, the studio. I used to record and he used to play poker.
Starting point is 01:25:45 If you record records and play poker, it's pretty much like the same time. It's long, it's fucking half. Right. So, he would be out there with a big ass bottle of Bacardi. Look. This one. I had this religiously. And I'd be out there with a big ass bottle of either.
Starting point is 01:26:00 Syrah. No, I was drinking Smirnoff. It wasn't Syrah back then. No, but yeah, you were drinking something different. Grey Goose. Grey Goose, Grey Goose. Grey Goose, Grey Goose. That's my shit. I was drinking Grey Goose.
Starting point is 01:26:08 And you lived in Kendall too by the way. And I lived in Hilo's. By the street. I'm speaking up to the people in Kendall, man. God damn it. Give some credit. You came down south and you hung out. I didn't give them left-rackers.
Starting point is 01:26:16 No love. But we're going to give Kendall some fucking love, man. Let's give Kendall some fucking love. Where's Kendall? It's South Miami. It's real South Miami. It's like Long Island of Miami. Not really. But we gon' give Kendu some fucking love. Let's give Kendu love. Where's Kendu? It's South Miami.
Starting point is 01:26:25 It's real South Miami. It's like Long Island of Miami. Not really. It's like the Hymn Stand of life. They even got Homestead. That remind me of Hymn Stand. So you finished the story you were telling them. How we started Dream Champs.
Starting point is 01:26:38 Oh yeah. Your story. Yeah, so you would drink the Bacardi, I would drink the Great Goose. And then we would both finish, so we both felt like, oh, alright, you're a champ, you're a champ. And then we initiated Static Selector first, right? No, no, but you're going way ahead of the story.
Starting point is 01:26:54 I'm going way too far. We had mad friends, we'd get them drunk as fuck. We had Netflix friends? Mad friends. Oh, mad friends, okay. We had mad people in the studio, and they all trying to drink with us. So you had young cats trying to drink with older cats. And they can't hang.
Starting point is 01:27:07 Now, don't do heroin no more. And one of them niggas pissed in the cooler, remember? Yes. We had Sonny Sonny Son. Nigga pissed in the cooler. Long story short, a lot of drinking. And then we was just saying, either you a dream champ or you not a dream champ.
Starting point is 01:27:23 So then he made a song about it while we was there. The Dream Champ song. Alchemist beat. When did y'all make the song? It was an Alchemist beat. Alchemist beat. Alchemist beat, and then we had to change it. We had to change it.
Starting point is 01:27:34 Alchemist soul to Mr. Alchemist soul to Mr. You didn't come and get a Havoc beat? Which we deserve that. Can I get a Havoc beat for my last album? Can I get a Havoc beat? Listen, once you say it on Dream Champ, it's a contract. You can have it for free times 10. Can I get a Havoc beat for my last album? Can I get a Havoc beat? Listen, once you say it on Drink Chess, it's a contract.
Starting point is 01:27:47 You can have it for free times 10. Oh damn! That means 10 other beats! You listen. I want to make something very, very, very, very, very, very, very clear. We're recording by the way, so let's go. Havoc has always been a genuine dude, a genuine person to me. Me and Prodigy has always been a genuine, genuine love. I wanted to put this rumor to rest.
Starting point is 01:28:15 There's no beef with CNN and Maldives. Obviously, man. We had misunderstandings, but it is not beef. We can get money together. He stood here. When everybody take a piss piss most of the time No, no first fat Joe started it off. Well, I'm taking a piss and we kept it going We kept it going but usually that's the RQ to be like this old. It's done. Yes done
Starting point is 01:28:39 rarely come back I want to thank you for Making that if yes,all just recently celebrated 20 years of the Infamous album. That album changed my life. I don't give a fuck, even when I was beefing with P, whatever, that's my man, I love him, I love him. I was just, hold on, hold on, let me cut you off. If it wasn't for that album, I wouldn't be here.
Starting point is 01:29:02 Let me cut you off real quick. I was just driving in the car with my homeboy and I was just telling him, like, you know, the little bullshit that P and whatever Nuri had, I said, yo, that shit is like laughable because I said them niggas is mad cool. Yes. Behind the scenes, them niggas is mad cool.
Starting point is 01:29:19 Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for clearing this up, promoters. And P will be here next. Yes up. And P will be here next. Yes, yes, P will be here next. Both of y'all here together. Yo Prodigy wherever you at, we love you. Yo, you know, I got P drunk in my studio one night. He fell out too.
Starting point is 01:29:34 I'm sure, I'm sure. He fell out too, ask nature, I swear to God. I was like, yo, we didn't know what to do. Give him more drinks, call an ambulance. We're like, we can't do that. Like, this is mob deep, we can't do that. And then the nigga woke up and just wrote his rhyme. He's still on the floor, wrote his rhyme.
Starting point is 01:29:50 The nigga is crazy, my nigga. Prodigy, we love you, my nigga, please, let's put this room under arrest. You know what I'm saying? We should go out here and get money. We are olders. And plus, when older niggas is beefing, we look corny. You know that, right?
Starting point is 01:30:02 Like, older niggas beefing, we corny. Like, when you 18, you beefing. Like, we fighting corny. You know that, right? Like, older niggas beefing, we corny. Like, when you 18, you beefing. Like, we fighting with Kane. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We don't want to do that, man. Havoc, man, I want to thank you so much. And I want to really just throw it out there
Starting point is 01:30:15 that we really got genuine love for each other. Like, you ain't asked to change up nothing. You knew what it was going to be. You came. And I really appreciate this. Your album is out. Let's just pick that up once more time. The Silent Partners. The Silent Partners.
Starting point is 01:30:30 Real quick, gotta throw in there. Why do you wanna say The Silent Partners? Oh, because you know what I'm saying? In Mobb Deep, you know what I'm saying? You the dad. You get the big royalty checks. You know who's the most vocal one in Mobb Deep and that would be Prodigy. Everybody always look at me like I'm the person that make the beats. Yes, I do make the beats.
Starting point is 01:30:48 But I do spit too at the same time. And you hard. You know what I'm saying? And this is like, yo, when I leave out of here, y'all could throw this in the garbage. Nah, nah, nah, these are all gonna be taken. You crazy, we hip hop fans here Did you know I don't smoke weed
Starting point is 01:31:21 Always been the biggest drinker in the world Yo, you remember I came you out for my birthday, and you just signed the G-Unit. Oh shit, I forgot about that. You just signed the G-Unit. I told you, don't talk to me. I was like, yo, what the fuck did you walk me into? Right, what? What happened?
Starting point is 01:31:36 You thought I lined you up? Keep it real. No, no, no, no. I didn't think you lined me up, but I thought that you thought that you was the type of person that could drink kumbaya. Yeah, no, no, no. Starting point is 01:38:04 Did that start from kindergarten or like? Dawson niggas like like like yeah, yeah, what does that start like young niggas? Young niggas been knocking things down like back in the day like not recently Not recently under the effort. Oh, excuse me. Excuse me. Starting point is 01:39:04 25 years ago. Five years ago? Five years ago. Oh, wow. For real? So I'm really, like, all right. You're an asshole, man. You're an asshole. I did it to K.R.S. 1.

And you know, Havoc is little,
Starting point is 01:39:40 but that nigga heart is much... That shit is hard as the size of the Empire State Building my nigga cuz I'm gonna be honest Like if you were to told me to do the podcast your podcast I might have been like now like I don't know like like I don't know you came out you flew out and you came In the back comfortable. He's mad Comfortable cuz he you know why cuz he he don't pay it don't leave me hanging You don't pay attention to the internet cuz the internet will have you believe in some shit. I don't give a fuck about that.
Starting point is 01:40:07 The internet will create some fake drama and then you start believing in the drama. You're like, all right, I think I do got beef with this nigga. Like, you know what I'm saying? Because it's the internet. We're in bozos. But I want to thank you again for coming through, stepping through. But let's get this money. You heard about this tour.
Starting point is 01:40:22 Let's think about this tour. That's the train. Yeah, that's Elliot Wilson's train yeah I used to run trains on 12th Street back in the day yo I ain't gonna lie yo let me tell you something during that infamous album y'all made me want to rap like I had doubt I had doubted myself you know I'm saying yeah I had doubted myself did I hung out with twin and that's myself. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I had doubt in myself. Then I hung out with Twins, and that's, I hung out with,
Starting point is 01:40:47 y'all went to the Palladium. This is one of my favorite Queens Bridge stories. Of all times. When the Palladium was shutting down that night, it was the last night of the Palladium. And Nas had came, Nas had the gold Lexus. And Twins, I was Twins' guest. I wasn't, Capone, I only think,
Starting point is 01:41:03 no, Capone was home, but he was on a run He had shot a dude called Pat Poole. Do you remember this? It's my memory good son. I even got more stories to it, but go ahead but listen So this is my first my favorite Queens bridge moment. Yeah, I had a show at the Palladium And it was like 900 niggas outside sound like the train train behind me. And then Nas drove through. He had drove through in a gold Lexus. That was like his first car.
Starting point is 01:41:32 And everybody opened up as Nas drove through. And the nigga was smoking a blunt. He just said, Queens bread. And I was like, damn, we need more people in my life. We need more. Yo, I can't tell you, but this shit looked like the million man marched to me, my nigga. Like, I was like, that was my favorite queen. It was at a Marv Deep Show at the Palladium.
Starting point is 01:41:57 And yo, I would never forget that for as long as I lived. That made me. He really went back like that. I don't even think he came in the club that this night He probably I think he just came in it was like y'all niggas cuz I don't know I did perform like five songs And then y'all niggas beat somebody up and shit. Yeah It was like pretty much like that like that and now I was like, you know what I'm bringing my whole hood out Like when I do that and
Starting point is 01:42:25 yeah yeah yeah I was my inspiration. How much pussy did you have? How much pussy did I have? Not a lot man. Nah I'm an amateur. I swear I'm an amateur man. Nah nobody believes you have it. No, I'm really not. You was knocking things down, singers and all that. You was giving out dick for beats. This is a fact. Nah, nah, I always was a family man.
Starting point is 01:42:53 I always was a family man. I was just an amateur. Was there ever a tour, a loud tour with pun alcoholics and y'all? It probably was. I do remember being around her a lot. You don't remember shit right now? You in your around a lot. You don't remember? Oh, you on your DMX shit? You don't remember shit right now? You on your DMX shit? Nah, but you know what though? Yeah, we used to be on the road with Pun a lot. Who else
Starting point is 01:43:18 was there? It was Pun. Alcoholics. MOP was over there. Alcoholics. MOP, they wasn't really around at that time. That was kind of early. Afterwards, yeah. Afterwards, yeah. I wasn't being on Lau because Lau was the label at that time. The street label, too.
Starting point is 01:43:33 Did you see the entire label? I never looked at Lau like that, but they came up with some kind of documentary that I didn't see. You didn't see it? No, I didn't see it. When you say you didn't look at him like that, what do you mean by that? No, I never looked at Loud as some kind of high end, real revolutionary label.
Starting point is 01:43:53 No, but I big Steve Rifkin up. Like, you know what I'm saying? But when we got there, it was just in its infancy. So when we got there. What word did you just say? Infancy. The babies. It was a baby.
Starting point is 01:44:06 But I mean, now looking back, they, the artists that they chose. Labels don't even do that today. No. Wu Tang, y'all, alcoholics, exhibit, MOP. When I think about it now, when I think back, I kind of like regret taking it for granted. Like, but I didn't know like what we was around I think back, I kind of regret taking it for granted.
Starting point is 01:44:27 But I didn't know what we was around, because we had Wu Tang and Mobb Deep, then Pumbas did. So it was just really something that was like... Was there a certain A&R at Loud that was picking artists besides Steve? Was Steve involved in that? Not that I know, because once we got there... How did you get to Loud? Because Matty C Maddie C. Maddie C. Is we need originally source. No, yeah He was the outside hype. Yeah, loud was loud was a cubicle when we first got there and they said yeah
Starting point is 01:44:58 We got these artists cool thing and I remember bringing it home and listening to it And I was like, you know, cause you know, I'm on my own shit. So I was like, whatever, you know what I'm saying? But then like the next three months niggas in my whole hood was playing. They didn't even know that I was in the office. In the same building, right? Of the people that fuck with these niggas. And then my whole hood was playing Wu Tang and I'm looking at these niggas like, oh oh shit I could go back to the office and give them data you know a little bit of data
Starting point is 01:45:29 like they gave me the CD I didn't know what to do with it and then I just put it to the side but then the whole hood started going crazy my own hood I was like I was like you like that I like, I know these niggas. Now the Jeffery shook ones out on their own at first, and then Loud came. And they shook ones part two. No, no, no, no, no, no. Loud gave us the budget and then we did it and then we just gave Loud something to run with. They was like, okay, this one right here. And we took a chance. But that wasn't the first
Starting point is 01:46:05 shook ones it was shook ones part two right it was one that you never hear you know what I'm saying and then we shook ones part two is basically the remix right so when we put out the first shook ones we put it out and then uh nobody liked it. Nobody liked it. Same beat? No, it was a different beat. So people was like, nobody liked it. They was like, so what's up? And y'all was on loud at that time. Right, and they was like, what's up? So I'm like, we gave you a second shot.
Starting point is 01:46:37 So I was like, alright, fuck it. I went to the crib. And then I just, I made the shit ones that you hear. So I made it. that you hear so I made it and then the project stole and then I made it and then they was listening and then they was like They say oh, okay, and then they they liked it personally so they pushed it And then you remember performing that Adam. How can I be down at Luke's Club? Of course? I was there I was there I was there in Atlanta. No, no, no here at Luke's Club? Of course. I was there. In Atlanta.
Starting point is 01:47:05 No, no, no. Here in Miami. Luke's Club in Miami. How can I be down was always in Miami. Listen, don't test him. He remembers everything. He had a tennis ball from Canvas. I'm a hip hop dinosaur.
Starting point is 01:47:13 From 1943. What club was it? Luke's Club. Pocobongos. He just had the juvenile. No, no, no. Fifth of Washington. Fifth of Washington.
Starting point is 01:47:21 I believe you. I believe you. He just had the juvenile. But we did a lot of No, no, no. Fifth at Washington. Fifth at Washington. I believe you. I believe you. He just had the Juvenile Hell. But we did a lot of, you know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 01:47:30 That was early on. You don't even have the Juvenile Hell team, right? Of course not. You got to believe that, Nigga. I do believe him. I do believe him. I don't owe no gold before a team. How much shit did y'all do when y'all first came out?
Starting point is 01:47:43 You ain't pwned no. I got a blur. I got a blur. I got a blur. I got like 10 years of blur. I was doing drugs. Ecstasy. A lot. Yeah, I'm going to represent the DJ and the fam.
Starting point is 01:47:54 But then we'd be like, but then we'd go. I liked them Mali for a little while, too. I'm going to keep it a hundred. I'm going to keep it a hundred. Mali was all right with me. I never fucked with Mali. For a little while. For a little while.
Starting point is 01:48:02 For a little while. Sometimes I still be looking. When he came to my house, he didn't know what ecstasy was, and then it was a rap. And then it was a rap. I don't know what. I had six months. He went into space.
Starting point is 01:48:10 Yeah, I had six months of real drug abuse. How new was you? This is a fact. How new was you? I was like Prince. No, Prince with Jimmy Hendrix together. He was like, hee hee. Yeah, I was going to, it was Gold Rush.
Starting point is 01:48:21 Gold Rush. I was going to Gold Rush 24 hours, nigga. I was going there to get pancakes and a lap dance. Fuck it! It's still over 24 hours but it's classy now. It's classy now. You can't. You can't. You can't. I used to go eat with a condom on already. It's on. My shit was on already. I'm a foul. It's on already. It's pre-marriage. It's pre-marriage. It's pre-marriage. Pre-marriage glory. Thank you for throwing that out there. Hold on, how long you been in Florida?
Starting point is 01:48:50 He's been forever. No, no, no, I'm asking him. Yeah, I'm foul. I've been foul. I've been out here foul-teen years. Foul-teen years. But people that don't know us, don't know what that number is. Yeah, this is real shit. Listen man, Florida's ain't my ass. Hold on, hold on. How many years you been in Florida?
Starting point is 01:49:07 I think I'm like 10ish. 10ish? You were 10ish? 10ish. Alright, so this your hood right now. I think I've been more than 10, but I still had cribs in New York at that time. But that don't count? Yeah, that don't count. But when I flew out here, I'm like eight. I'm like eight strong years. And he came religiously from Matt years.
Starting point is 01:49:26 Yeah. So when you go like this, like yo, around my way, you talk about Florida, right? I ain't going to lie. I've adapted that sometimes. Not around. I don't have a... Listen, there's no around, like there's no like blocks out here unless you're in like Overtown.
Starting point is 01:49:39 It is. Like people hang out in like cribs out here. Like see, see, where we from, where we from, you hang out on 12th Street, you hang out on 97th Street. The hoods is different in Miami. Like the hoods is different in Miami. Yeah, it's southern hoods. Southern hoods, what's the southern hood?
Starting point is 01:49:53 It's spread out, it's spread out. It's spread out, it's hood, it doesn't look. Oh, they kill your fats out here. They kill your fats. Yeah, it's coming from Miami. Miami, they kill your fats, you listen. And listen, you know who I want to big up, man, I know this is very awkward, but I want to big up, man, I know this is very awkward,
Starting point is 01:50:05 but I want to big up Kodak Black. The reason why I want to big up Kodak Black because I got to switch up my years. My years of living in Miami and my years of living in Broward. I also lived in Broward and I've always been- And you never rep Broward. So now you're about to rep Broward? I was on parole in Broward.
Starting point is 01:50:23 What are you talking about? What's the difference? It's different counties. I'll break it down good for you. Easy for you. Queens Bridge and Ravenswood is the same thing. But it's not the same thing. I don't think that's a good way to put it. Yes it is because it's right down the block. But is it in Miami? No it's not the same thing. I don't think that's a good way to put it. Yes it is, because it's right down the block. It's like Queens and Brooklyn.
Starting point is 01:50:45 But is it Queens and Brooklyn? Is it in Miami? Is it in Miami? No, it's not. That's why they say Broward. Queens and Brooklyn. Yes, and Broward. Broward is Fort Lauderdale.
Starting point is 01:50:54 You know Fort Lauderdale. Is it close to Miami? Close, yeah. It's like fucking. Jersey close to New York, it's the same shit. Yeah, you can do Jersey to New York. I think Jersey to New York makes more sense. And Broward is. But you lived in Broward and your studio's in Broward. Yes, you can do Jersey to New York. I think Jersey to New York makes more sense. And Broward is-
Starting point is 01:51:06 But you live in Broward and your studio's in Broward? Yes, my studio's in Broward. I was on probation in Broward. So I wanted to be- and they now poppin' with Kodak Black. Let's make some noise for Kodak Black. Pompano Beach. Yeah, Pompano Beach. That's what you're noise.

Starting point is 01:55:38 Queensbread. I want to just be clear. There's no beef with Capone and Noriega and Havoc. I really, Kepona Noriega and Marv Deep, excuse me. And I really appreciate you for coming here and just sitting here. But this tour, is this something that you think that we can pull off?
Starting point is 01:55:57 I think that we could really pull it off and it would really be dope. And I think that the fans would love it more than we even think. I believe so. I believe so. It'll be huge. I believe so. I believe so, man.
Starting point is 01:56:08 I definitely believe so. Hold on, let me like this world, come on. You're going to like this bullshit right now. Y'all, you don't like this smell? You didn't like it when Currency was here, so why the fuck do you like it now? No, because I was trying to win. Oh.
Starting point is 01:56:22 Like when I win my argument. I don't mind it. Are you petty? Are you bloody in my fucking face? Are you petty and happy? I'm a petty nigga. I'm very petty. Like when you break up with a bitch and you pull her purse. Is that a Queen's thing, the petty thing?
Starting point is 01:56:32 If you pull her purse, do you take the purse back? It depends how much it costs. I got a rhyme like that. I say, I said, Bob, bitch's purse. Break up with him, take the purse back. Damn. It's a fact. I'm a petty nigga. I tell with him, take the purse back. Damn. It's a fact, I'm a petty nigga. What the fuck, you surprised?
Starting point is 01:56:49 And this is when I was rich, rich. I'm still surprised when you get petty. Nah, I'm mad petty. You don't, you don't, you're, listen, if Jay-Z called me over a podcast, that is petty. That means rich, all rich niggas is petty. I think we should all accept our pettiness. Does anybody disagree?
Starting point is 01:57:08 I disagree. Listen, accept your pettiness. Have, do you think you don't accept your pettiness? I really accept it. You ever took shit back from a bitch? Did I ever what? Take shit back from a bitch. Of course.
Starting point is 01:57:23 Let's describe the situation. I got mad stories if you want me to go first. I gave her 20 Gs. Oh, boy. And then we was about to break up. I said, I want my 20 Gs. And she gave it to me back. Damn.
Starting point is 01:57:37 Wait up. Hold on. Big up to her, though, for having the 20 Gs. I got to know what year this is, because I want to know, what's her pussy sunshine? Did you throw it in the air and it turned into sunshine? Was it that? Was it that?
Starting point is 01:57:47 It was sunshine. It was sunshine? I'm just joking, I'm just joking. But not every chick would have the 20 Gs to give back though. Huh? What happened? I mean, thank God she had the 20 Gs to give back. Right.
Starting point is 01:57:59 Yeah, thank God for her bank. Right. Oh, she spent it and still had it? How? Nah, I gave it to her but still had it, and I took it back. But that's being an Indian giver. That was fab. No, I'm an Indian giver. That was fab.
Starting point is 01:58:11 That's called pettiness. And y'all from Queens. Y'all ain't established. I don't think it's a Queens thing. I don't think it's a Queens thing. I think it's a me thing. No, I think it's a Queens thing. Y'all established that right now.
Starting point is 01:58:20 Oh, you just, what? Oh, you think Queens think it's a Spaniard? You just said that. I'm saying I'm petty. I ain't representing Queens in this moment right now. I ain't representing me. But I'm asking my brother from Queens, are you petty? You said, he asked it.
Starting point is 01:58:34 He said yes. He said yes. Okay, EFN, have you taken, have you brought a bitch something and just said, oh, listen, don't you fucking lie now. Listen, listen, let's time out. You cut a bitch off for going to Cisco Video. You ain't even seen the video. And you stop fucking with him.
Starting point is 01:58:53 Listen, don't lie. That relationship was on a down slope. Hold on, hold on. Let's ask the one girl in the room besides the bartender. Is that, come here, come here. You're not given the full situation. You don't have to say her name is that petty he listen his girl called him I don't know if he was in the story. I make it definitely yeah go ahead go with your face story
Starting point is 01:59:13 I'm just going with the face story right he found out his girl was going to Cisco video And he broke up with her right there is that petty that's not the way it went down But in this in in I'm dyslexic. I'm breaking it down She was an aspiring model at the time. Uh huh. No, you set yourself up. I don't even know what you're doing. No, I didn't set myself up. As soon as she started doing videos, I was done. I didn't set myself up.
Starting point is 01:59:56 She did a thong song. I'm like, I'm out. I'm out of this relationship. It was just a video though. Nah, man. It was just a video though. Nah man. It was just a video. Homie, I'm a DJ, I'm working in this world, I'm not trying to be in the same room with dudes with my broad and nah, I'm outta here. I feel you. I'm outta here. We just interviewed Cisco, he was still mad about it.
Starting point is 02:00:15 Let's make some noise. You all dead. Listen, all that jealousy. That's a different pain. You trying to separate yourself from me. And she was in the Jay-Z,imp C, and Jujy K video. All right, that's me. Big Pimpin.
Starting point is 02:00:29 She was in Big Pimpin. They put all the champagne on her ass. I'm out of here. You tell me, yo, am I wrong? Am I wrong?
