Starting point is 00:00:00 Well, welcome back to the duck call room. You watched the USA win? Oh, yeah. U.S.A. Yeah. I need to watch a soccer. The next time USA plays and it matters, I'm coming to watch it with you. Because I think it would be fun.
Starting point is 00:00:19 Oh, no, it was. Yeah. Both times I scored a goalie. I was up out of my reclimate. Were you? What are you talking about? Every time they scored a goalie. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Well, I did. I'm just, we played during one of our business. I should have scored about three more. I was close. I listened to it driving down the roads. Oh, no. Listening to soccer is arguably more fun than watching it. Because those announcers get fired up.
Starting point is 00:00:48 I don't know. You'll look down, you'll be going 90. I don't know. Those boys get fired up and get knocked down and kicked drug and all this stuff. Not get knocked down. But I get up again. It's a rough sport. I did not have Chumba Wumba on the card for today, man.
Starting point is 00:01:03 It's a good song. Doing a little tub thumping. Next thing, you know, Sao's going to be pissing the night away. He knows that anyway. Hey, Australia scored our first score. Do what? Australia did.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Well, yeah, they've always been friends. They set them up. Six years I've tried to get y'all into soccer. He couldn't stop and hit the ball. It had to come here. That's the problem. We needed to be able to watch it in normal hours. I will say, y'all know where I was yesterday,
Starting point is 00:01:32 and I was just proud to be an American and just standing there. Where? The Sam's Club. Oh, no. I mean, I was just looking around. I was like, does it get better? Only in America, baby.
Starting point is 00:01:44 That's what I'm saying. That's it. Only in America. I could have bought a case of eggs. Yep. Didn't he? Look, scanned it with my phone and just walked out. Instead, I bought an icy machine.
Starting point is 00:01:56 What an ice machine? He's got his hot dog roller. Yeah, baby. What's next? He's got an ice. He's got an ice. Machine. I got an icy machine yesterday.
Starting point is 00:02:06 That's what I'm talking about. Hey, only in the back room. Have you made any ice ice you? Oh, yeah. They have that at Sam. You can get anything at Sam. It's not a brand name,
Starting point is 00:02:15 icy machine. And the brand hasn't paid this podcast anything, so it's an icy machine until you holler at your boy. But we'll do an ad for it. Didn't we have a hot dog rollers? I see a hot dog roller, buddy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:32 I did learn, Because, you know, I'm a fine figure of a man, so I obviously will eat as much casso as I want, but I refuse to drink full sugar sodas. Mm-hmm. You can't make those, like Coke Zero doesn't turn into a slushy. Oh, because they ain't got no sugar in it? Who knew? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Apparently you did. Yeah. That checks out. It's got to have something to bind with, otherwise you just make ice. Yeah. Like you got to have something to keep it in a different state. Otherwise, you just make an ice cube. See, I should have called you.
Starting point is 00:03:04 So I get home, then I had to go back to Walmart to buy something called monk fruit. Oh, give a little healthy sweetener. Yeah, whatever. Some people said it would make my tummy rumble, but all it did was make me happy because it was the best icy I've ever had. That's just because you made it. Yep. And on Thursday, is it Thursday, when we're playing turkey A or whatever they're called now? Turkey A at what, 8 o'clock at night?
Starting point is 00:03:25 I still call you turkey. I'm going to have that hot dog roller rolling. I'm going to have an icy machine going. It's going to be like 7-11 up in my house. I might come over and watch the game. Come on. Johnny D. Don't have the QT on lock.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Oh, yeah. Circle K. That sounds like a lot of fun, J.D. Yeah. Oh, man. I have him cheddar and jalapeno sausage. He's rolling on it. Roll that.
Starting point is 00:03:51 One of the World Cup. When the World Cup ends, you can make margaritas again. No imports. I don't think we got any United States tequila. If we do it, probably ain't good. I bought some in college once and said it was from St. Louis. It was. Yeah. That was just hooch.
Starting point is 00:04:11 It had hurt. That was just hooch. It literally said St. Louis, Missouri. I said, we've made mistakes, boys. Yeah, but we had a budget. Yeah, we did. Oh, so an icy machine hot dog. You really are turning into just a carnival.
Starting point is 00:04:28 I love it. Think about getting a gas pump. It sounds very interesting. That's what you ought to do. I mean, can you put a gas pump at your house? Yeah. Yeah, they'll come put you 500, I mean, however many gallons of tank you want. Just get you a 500 gallon tank.
Starting point is 00:04:42 You can have it at your house. Order it from Delta Fuel here, and they'll come fill it up whenever you run out. Me and my family have a diesel one. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. You can get it. If you're so brazen, you can fill it with off-road gas.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Put it in there, you get it a little bit cheaper, but I don't recommend it. What's off-road gas? It's got a pink dye, so if you get swabbed, you're in trouble. with the law. Huh? Yeah, they make off-road gas and off-road diesel.
Starting point is 00:05:07 What's the difference? It's for construction folks. Yeah. Oh, okay. It's cheaper? It's cheaper. Then why is it not the norm? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Does it come from the straight of Hormuz? I don't know. I doubt it because it's got a 20% tax on it now. Maybe I should clarify it's the diesel pumps for the farm. Yeah. Now that you said that. No, I know. Everybody knows that.
Starting point is 00:05:30 So me and Big Dave can go in together and get a gas pump at the house? Yeah. You sure can. We should do that. I got to talk to him. You sure can. We can have a gas pump.
Starting point is 00:05:39 You just got to keep you a little 12-volt battery there to run the pump. Nothing to it. There you go. And people complain about being American, Sigh. I know it. Or plug it in to you. One of the other. I'd probably keep it away from my house.
Starting point is 00:05:52 The best one was the Japanese guy ain't that big real. Oh, the bone-in. Are you on social media all this? I mean, hey. Yeah. No, that was the best one because he looked. looked at it. No, he was watching a game. They went through that before one of the game.
Starting point is 00:06:07 He was spraying it with the sauce and then he ate a big lot of it. He ate it and turned in it. This is so amazing. Did you watch the Italian guy learn about free refills for the first time? Nope. Oh. They were like, just let us know if you want some more. He was like, what do you mean?
Starting point is 00:06:25 More. They were like, we'll just go refill it. He's like, how much does that cost? They're like, no, no, it's free refills. That's right. He did not understand the concept of free re-res. Well, their whole life, they never drank out nothing but a glass bottle. He came free refill a glass bottle.
Starting point is 00:06:40 And there's no ice. Then the Irish showed up in Boston and drank us dry. That did happen. I loved it. Don't you know they's having a party? You know they was having a party, buddy, to drink all the beer in Boston. Is there a Waffle House in Boston? The Scottish went hard in the paint.
Starting point is 00:07:01 I don't know. any Waffle houses there's got to be. Oh, I've got to have Waffle House in it. Aren't we nicknaming this, the Great American Sleepover or something? I hope so. Hold on. I hope they stay, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:14 Some of them are providing some really good things to this country as far as entertainment goes. Freddie's one of us. Oh, hey, that's pretty cool. The number of Waffle Houses by State. I actually just figured out what's wrong with America. Yeah, they stopped. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Yeah, they get up around Pennsylvania. The good parts of America are a darker color on this map, and the further away you get, they go to zero. Mm-hmm. What? There's a state that don't have a waffle house? There's not a single waffle house in California. Oh, hey, that's understandable.
Starting point is 00:07:50 New York? None. Oregon. That's understandable. Washington. That's understandable. That's understandable. You'd make a mint.
Starting point is 00:07:59 That's why I was asking about that, because if them boys drink Boston dry, and had a waffle house they'd have been having to fly in baking. The good people of Georgia will slam a waffle house, though. I guarantee you. Well, that's where it started. That's where headquarters are. Georgia has 431 more waffle houses than Illinois. Because the Illinois only has two.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Really? What do they eat? Denny's? I hop. Ugh. You know. Why would you go there? Watch a waitress is bounce around.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I see why the renewals. States is so good. You mean, you see why the SEC is something? Oh, their pet. Waiters are renamed Pegg. Hey, notice all the southern states? Wow. We got to open another waffle house.
Starting point is 00:08:45 I'm sad to be stuck on 99. That was 2002. Yeah. Oh, that's crazy. I did not realize there was no waffle houses in Connecticut. Oh, that's a pitiful. In the greater West Monroe, Louisiana area, there's three. So, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:00 I, I, I, I visually see four waffle houses when I take my kids to school. I see all four of them. Four. Where's that other than? 165. Oh, it is out there by ULM, yeah. Look, if you've ever got started on an outdoor project and you're like, man, I just can. And it's caused you to stop because you feel like you're in over your head.

Starting point is 00:10:44 Offers valid for a limited time. Terms and conditions may apply. What is it? Lobster. I actually learned something yesterday about lobster because it was Father's Day yesterday. They're bigger. And that's what I get my dad, because he bought a store that hosts his hobby. And so it's like, you can't buy me.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Can you cook them where they're edible? Lobster? Yeah. Oh, yeah. That tails, great. Fine delicacies. You eat crawfish? There's actually a whole restaurant.
Starting point is 00:11:14 I eat crawled fish. It's got a good flavor and it's tender. Hold on. If you eat croat, a big lobster is tough, and you just keep chewing and keep chewing it. And the more you shoot it, the bigger it gets. Or you didn't have the right cook. You cooked that lobster as long as you cook a steak. That's your problem.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Well, no, no, I didn't cook it. Okay. There's the problem. The restaurant. The restaurant's... Was the restaurant named... Red Lobster? Because that, I mean, that's base level lobster.
Starting point is 00:11:42 You should have stopped at the biscuits when you go there. I can't eat them. Well, you ate too many of them. I eat too many of them. I guess you hate to have an acquired taste. Next time you go to the warehouse? Get one. Go where?
Starting point is 00:11:54 Warehouse. Lobster's like one of the greatest... Where the good hush puppies are. It's crazy because they... I wouldn't order the lobster. I said, do it there if you're going to do it. I wouldn't order it. I wouldn't pay for it, wouldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:12:10 They ain't no good. Yeah, they're good. They're too tough. No, they're not tough. I'm serious, they're too tough. Do you not remember all that spiny lobster we ate in the Bahamas when we were there? Y'all ate it. You all ate, that was tough.
Starting point is 00:12:25 That was the question. Sam's had two sections of lobster. Hard head, hard head. That stuff was so good. Well, I am hardhead, but hey. That's why they fired you from an orange juice factor. You couldn't concentrate. Well, hey, I'll put it this way.
Starting point is 00:12:40 You couldn't cut a lobster with a butter knife. What? Yeah, you can. No, you couldn't? You can just bite it. No. Like a pop by lobster popsicle. Lobster or a tusk?
Starting point is 00:12:54 No. You have teeth now, brother? You can eat them. I don't make any difference. They would tell them. Have you had them with teeth? Uh, yeah. When?
Starting point is 00:13:02 Hey, I'm telling you. You hadn't had no. No. No. Look, every lobster I've ever tried to eat was just like a bad piece of bubble going. But now you've tripped. Chew it, chew it, chew it, chew it, chew it, chew it. It gets bigger and bigger and bigger.
Starting point is 00:13:16 But now that you've tripled the amount of teeth in your head, do you think it would taste better? I've never had that experience with lobster. Ever. I've always had. Even a bad lobster. Now, hey, they shrimp. I love it black them No you don't you don't like shrimp
Starting point is 00:13:30 Oh yeah I do No you don't Hey I need a bucket or shrimps No you won't Yeah yeah How big too much You got the red sauce to go with it You don't like crawfish
Starting point is 00:13:40 No I ain't a lot of fish No you don't A lobster is just a big Prowfish are way tastier than lobster I got to eat something right now I got a quiet right there Well that's
Starting point is 00:13:55 Steer Hey that's just a different way to cook them And they're tender. That's because you like steam lobsters. And they're tender. You don't. I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:05 We can go to Sam's right now. No, no, I'm serious. I've ate lobster. But you rip that tail out of a lobster and you cut it in half and throw it in that shell still on the grill with like some garlic and butter and you just baste it while it sits here and does this thing. But. Buddy.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Well, ever lobster I've ever eaten. And most of them were in New York City. Well, yeah They're no good. They're no good, they're tough. They didn't come from sale. The Bahamas was the same way, and hey, and we actually caught them. Well, that's like eating steak at a pizza place.
Starting point is 00:14:39 Depends on the place. Well, I ain't ever tried that. You got to do as the Romas do. You go to a pizza joint, you order a pizza. You go to a steakhouse, you order steak. What do you get at Red Lod? You don't go to a fish place and order steak. You order fish.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Because if you order a steak, it's going to suck. I think. Was there a fish cooking? My daughter cooked me a steak last night. Oh, I cooked me up. I cooked me and my woman, a filet mignon last night.
Starting point is 00:15:07 You should have got some lobster to go with it. Oh, I don't. Surf and turf, baby. Nothing like it. But look, here's what I learned. There's two types of lobster. And guess what? Shock all shot.
Starting point is 00:15:16 It was medium plus. My filet mignon. Well done. Medium plus. Light pink. Medium plus is well done. No, it's light pink in the middle. No blood, but just light.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Some would call it medium-m-weld. Oh, no. That's medium-well. Medium's got blood coming out of it when you cut it. No, that's right. A medium-plus don't have blood, but it's right. There ain't no medium-plus. Matter of fact, it shows.
Starting point is 00:15:44 There's. Y'all won't ever get. There's no medium-old. I may just not like Lopjeet. That's well done. What? Yo, hey, that's what. Maybe you had...
Starting point is 00:15:56 That maybe one is just full down. There's two types of lobster. There's cold lobster and warm lobster at Sam's. They're both frozen, but one's come from the Bahamas and one's comes from Canada. Them spiny lobsters are good. And I didn't know which one is that. One's been on ice and maybe the other one have it. So I bought the more expensive one because I figured that one taste back.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Was that the one? That's the one from Maine. That's Canada, right? It was product to Canada. Yeah. Kanada. Yeah, that's the Maine lobster. No importance until the World Cup's over.
Starting point is 00:16:26 no emboard that's a lie you ate that lobster I hadn't eaten it yet oh man I did buy Canadian lobster god you bought the wrong one well the Bahamas lobster's not American either I'm not eating it that's for my dad that was part of his
Starting point is 00:16:44 what do you get a man that's got everything Lof and turf something for him to cook something for him to cook I hope I get invited well hey what you do invite me that way maybe I'll it'll be good if your dad's cooking.
Starting point is 00:16:59 We ain't inviting you up. We only got four. You're going to spit it out. Yeah. Well, if it ain't no good, it's tough. We ain't going to waste it. If it's tough,
Starting point is 00:17:07 I will. It ain't going to be tough. It's lobster. But see, you know what? Everybody else told me? Well, you got to get a young lobster. And then it'll be a
Starting point is 00:17:17 pretender. Well, I said, well, they must always serve the old geyser, the old lobster. I said, No, they're one of them ever, right. Lobster's like pizza, you can't mess it up. You know what I like?
Starting point is 00:17:30 Didn't they used to feed like a convex lobster? When Captain Dees gets to lobster fest. Uh-oh, lobster fest. I didn't know Captain Dees had a lobster fest. What, they do fry it? No, you get like that lobster roll. If you want to ask somebody about Captain Days, you need to talk to Phillips. I bet Phillips had that lobster, just a bunch of lobster and mayonnaise.
Starting point is 00:17:48 It's some bread. Oh, it's good. Hmm. I had one at Disney World. I didn't think I'd like it, but boy, was it tasty. They say Cap D's has good hush puppies. It's a great little seafood. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:17:59 I know the warehouse has great hush puppies because I ate about two basket of them myself when I go there. Every time you go in there, they bring you two baskets all around. Oh, no, I know. They're good. And I ate both of them. Oh, I wish I could eat them. Boy, they're good. Goblin, where are you been?
Starting point is 00:18:16 You've been out of town, eh? I have been. Oh, you know that fundraiser we went to in Wisconsin, Hunk for Life? Yeah, the Hunt for Life Foundation. I went to me and Paula went He went to one of them You did what? Oh, you were an uncle
Starting point is 00:18:32 Me and Paula, she was Uncle, uncle and aunt They chose to do the girls They're still the boys Yeah, how was it? It was awesome. Was it? It was really awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:43 It was in, uh, right out of Tarial River Ranch And hi, and Matt Owens sent a hello to him while he was in there. And, Colorado. You know Matt lives in Colorado. Oh. Is demons here finally called up with him?
Starting point is 00:19:03 Hey, can I say. No, I'm kidding. I'm lost. So Matt followed Mac. You said Matt, right? Mack Owens. You said Mac. Oh, well, I meant to say Mac Owens.
Starting point is 00:19:18 Johnny D.'s uncle. Yeah. Okay. And his name is Mac Owen. Yeah. Just in case we're all wondering. Okay. I was just trying to figure out.
Starting point is 00:19:26 I was like, I didn't know Matt Owen's left here. Okay. Yeah, I said, and on the porch. Oh, no, he's up there too. My sentiment's still the same. He's been up here. He's been up our priest. The gospel.

Starting point is 00:21:03 You was going to tell. Ariel River Ranch. Terrial River Ranch. Where'd you fly into? Colorado Springs. Oh, not Denver. I was wondering if you want to. No, because, well, they was, you know.
Starting point is 00:21:14 Get in that Denver area. Which might have been easier because we had a lot of counseling, but, you know, trying to get them keys. Oh, we've got on horses. And what? Got one riding. horses. Oh yeah. Colin, you rode a horse?
Starting point is 00:21:30 Yeah, two days. You rode a horse for two days? No, two different days. There's Paula and Courtney, and that's some of the kids up there. But that's some of the thing. We horse rode. Oh, I should have one up there. Were you?
Starting point is 00:21:44 Five fish. We played this one girl on the way said she wanted to learn how to play softball. She was 13. So we went. went to Shields and bought a Wufelball. Oh, okay. And we played Woffelball, I was a designated pitcher for both teams. We had a great time.
Starting point is 00:22:09 It's good. We had... T.D. Baby. Yeah. We had... Shield now. We had...
Starting point is 00:22:14 Shields. A guy, he was from SEAL Team One. I always had one of them, you know, because it's the camps for kids that's lost their fathers in combat and first responders. So we love on them for a week. And he taught us how to use a compass to a map to show exactly where we was. And we kind of used that and kind of done it with the Bible, how you know your heading and your bearing needs to be Christ.
Starting point is 00:22:48 And your heading can get off some, but you need to come back, different things like that. And we'd have a Bible lesson in the evenings. and it went really well, just loved on them. They all kind of, they was all kind of to their self, you know, but by Tuesday evening they was jumping and laughing and having a great time. The thing that got me was, and nobody thinks about this, you know, if you have a fallen dad or something, it's all about him, you know.
Starting point is 00:23:20 You never hear about mom or the kids, so, On Thursday, we had an honor ceremony. We lined up all the kids, and he showed us how to salute. And he called out to rank. We'd salute and where he served and what in his branch was, and them girls looking across. I was crying. They was crying.
Starting point is 00:23:45 But we was honoring them and their mothers and their dad. So that was cool, man. Oh, it was awesome. I was bawled about two or three days. I tell you, them girls. Sounds like a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun, a lot of blessing. Yeah, I've been living a lot, you know.
Starting point is 00:24:04 The only bad thing about that place was there wasn't no air to breathe, 8,500 feet. Yeah, there's no air now. I did walk. Oh, you're talking about that Ph.D. weight loss. I walked two miles every day with that seal. He walked with me. I tried to run, but now I couldn't take about four steps because. Oh yeah, they ain't nothing up there.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Yeah, no, we're not designed. I said, okay. I said, if you don't mind, I'm just going to walk. He said, hey, Bub, just long as we make him two miles. That's all it counts. I like that. I like that encouragement. You know how to go.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Hey, as long as you get there, don't matter how. Oh, we had line dancing one night. Now, how did you? You weren't sucking wind line dancing? Oh, look, oh, let me tell you the day. This is the morning. So we got up, me and him got up at 515, and we took off walk to two miles. And we come back and met them.
Starting point is 00:25:02 And I forget what time. Anyway, we met them at the camp. And then you had, it was a bag and forth, bag and forth up this hill about 400 feet steep. You was wore out and they had a brick platform up there. And we done yoga for an hour. So I done yoga every morning. an hour. Why.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Is there a video? Let me tell you. Can you downward dog? Yes, sir. I sure can. I can plank. Now, there's a few of them I couldn't do because I'm not as limber as I once was. But I'm more limbered than I was.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Show us a downward dog. Do you say, you think you had a bigger benefit there, Paula? Oh, on that? I did, because my gait's way longer. I can take bigger strips now. A swing them are. Why do we not have pictures? A swing on them are.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Why are we not? You took your phone out to do one of the horses, but didn't think to like, let me take a selfie doing yoga. Have you ever tried yoga? All of my hands. No, I know better. What do you mean you know? Oh, look, I'm as flexible as a two by four.
Starting point is 00:26:11 But you think it's easy and then you. I don't. It's not. You would have to untie me once we got to end of yoga. They was playing. What's that girl named Lauren Daigle? Uh-huh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:21 This is how I fight my body. I thought she was saying body because I was up there trying to stretch my ball and say that's bottle. That's how I was. Battle. Battle. Yeah. Oh, Lord.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I'm thinking, no, I'm fighting my body. I can't even sit down with my legs crawl. And then they look, then they done that they called it, you stack the firewood, you put them legs on top of each other like that. Now, that's out. but they was doing that gal that was teaching it was doing that's why i was telling you you'd tie me whenever you got done was yoga huh you had that's on time me once you's got oh yeah get it down and stress and then boy i's muscle i got a question i got muscle sore i didn't
Starting point is 00:27:08 even know i had i said it i sit like that all the time if i ain't on a couch well i can do you really if i if i am not like a toddler well i take that back yeah it's way more comfortable This is comfortable? Hey. Huh? Hey, that's good. I can sit with my legs crossed. My knees just don't touch the floor.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I don't think they're supposed to. Is that a requirement? Yeah. What you're supposed to? Time out. He said, time out. You got to look. Ladies and gentlemen that are driving down the road,
Starting point is 00:27:38 Martin has entered the center of the room. He's going down to sit. I mean, this is how I sit if I ain't got no one. That's how he sits if he's got nowhere else to sit. Oh, I can do that. Martin's knees no longer touch a finger. Are your legs close? Your legs close?
Starting point is 00:27:54 And let your knees touch the ground. Move my what? Maybe your feet out in the money. Your knees. Like this? No, keep your legs crossed. Martin, you almost ripped your pants there. I touch your knees to the ground.
Starting point is 00:28:07 That's what I'm talking about, right there. Uh-huh. Yep. Your knees are supposed to touch the ground. How? Flat. But your feet are under them. Well, get your feet.
Starting point is 00:28:19 out from under them. So they can test the ground. That's the way they were sitting. And then, now don't get up. You got to stack that firewood. You got to put your leg on top. You're born.
Starting point is 00:28:33 All right. All right. Put your foot up by your knee. Your left foot. Put up by your right knee. No, lay it on top. No. On top.
Starting point is 00:28:43 You moved your other one. Now put your other one on top of that. Oh, both feet on top. Yeah, I can't do that. Both feet on top. No, no, no, no. Both feet on top. Yeah, there were them weird kids in school
Starting point is 00:28:55 that could sit like that. Well, no, no. You was doing it right. Just put that left, right foot under your feet. There you go. I can't do that. Well, that's exactly what I was doing on the floor. I don't know what we're doing anymore.
Starting point is 00:29:13 I don't need it. Well, that's, I wasn't as limbers. I want to. Whoa. Hey, down, dog. be there, didn't you? He said, I saw all he wanted, huh? Well, no, no.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I was, hey, careful, you got to have a little brown eye. That's like Vietnamese. Vietnamese can, okay. They don't caught Vietnamese style. Well, no, no. Oh, it's Gangnam style. Well, no, but hey, Vietnamese. And sit down with their knees.
Starting point is 00:29:44 I guess it's a good thing dogs can't help. With their butt against their heels. Yeah, but look. mountain. And sit that way all day. The right, the big mountain rain. This is for the sun's coming up. And right when our hour got done, the sun popped up over that mountain.
Starting point is 00:30:01 They had it time just right. And then we laid down and prayed. There you go. For about 15. If I do yoga, I'm going to lay down and pray too because I'm going to pray I can get back up. Then we walk back down the hill. to the frontier, that's where the cabins were. And then we went to the eating place.
Starting point is 00:30:26 It was about 16 flights of stairs up. And when you got up there, people tried to talk to you, but I couldn't talk because I'd say, give me a minute. But time it was over with, I could talk, walk and talk up there. Last time I was there, I had a little left. I had like a Lysol can of oxygen. Swimming pool.
Starting point is 00:30:44 Oh, you bought one of them. Yeah. Oh, no, I went through a bunch of. Starting point is 00:32:50 Sigh, I need your opinion on this. A what? I'm going to tell you. There is a man named Harry Kane. Harry Kane. Harry Kane. He's one of the greatest soccer players in the world. He plays for England.
Starting point is 00:33:03 He'd have been named Harry. Huh? They'd have named him hurry. They don't have those over there. Is really Harry Kane? His name is really Harry Kane. Okay. Here's Harry Kane situation.
Starting point is 00:33:14 It should have been. Sugar King. Harry Kane on June 23rd is going up against Ghana. Ghana versus England. England. Well, Nana Kwaku Bansam is a witch doctor. Say that 10 times real fast. I don't even know if it said it right the first time. There is a witch doctor from Ghana who is going to put a hex on Harry Kane. What if it works? Oh, it ain't going to work. Well, what's the heck? What's the hex going to be? I don't know. He doesn't want to injure him, but he is going to prevent him from winning,
Starting point is 00:33:49 and he's said he's done it before. Oh, really? None of it before. Yeah, that's what I'd say. Them witch doctors creep me out. Well, he can't hit the ball. He can't kick the ball. Do you think that a- You know what I think Harry-
Starting point is 00:34:01 A witch doctor can put a curse on an athlete? No. No. No. I think he needs to just carry plastic Jesus in his pocket and he'll be all right. That's right. A little bit of Jesus?
Starting point is 00:34:12 Yeah, take little Jesus. I don't know what Harry Kane's association with religion is, but it could be. He better figure out out. when the African witch doctor Well, you asked a good question Do we believe in it? Yeah, can
Starting point is 00:34:27 The guy can do it. In curses? Huh. Oh, which doctor? I'm out on that. Hmm. Mm. Mm.
Starting point is 00:34:35 You don't believe? Huh? You don't believe? No. Why not? What are you based your non-belief on? On witch doctors? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:47 I really have to go down this road with you, huh? They really do. Well, I'm just saying. Do you believe in ghosts? No, no, because, hey, to bring this up today, today, you believe there are UFOs. And are there really aliens that our government has said that they have bodies of aliens? We've already went down this, row.
Starting point is 00:35:11 What do we end up saying? Do we believe or not? I said, I don't know that we're the only planet Earth out there. I'm not going to limit God's power. No. I'm not going to limit. That's where my life. I'm not going to limit his design on being just us.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Well, no, no, because that's where my wife threw me a wrench in the machinery. She said, no, Jesus created all this, and he created a man. Yeah. And there is no more. He wants curse Ronaldo. No. So my wife said, okay. Well, how'd that work out?
Starting point is 00:35:45 Pretty good. Because of who Jesus is and what he's done, no, there are no aliens, another species. of whatever you want to call it. Man is it. Yeah. I mean, I can get behind that. So I've never thought about that before.
Starting point is 00:36:03 You know? And which is a good point. What? Well, a lot of people, a lot of people believe in, okay, like the wish doctor.
Starting point is 00:36:16 Yeah. I ain't trying to cross it. A lot of people do. I'm just not putting that much of my faith into another human. Well, no, that's me. So that's my problem. There's only one person that was human that I'm going to put that much faith in to.
Starting point is 00:36:29 And that's Jesus. I'm kind of like you. But stay away from me, sir. Can he put a spell on it? Not really. Okay, so you think Harry Kane's safe? Yeah. Especially if he does what Martin said.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Harry Jesus. Put Jesus in the pocket, well, you and hey, don't worry about it. Well, let's say it the way on that. Do you believe in ghost? don't spirits have to flee at the sound of your name there's got to be i would change the term from ghost to i don't believe in ghosts but i do believe in spirits yeah the holy spirit being one yeah being one yeah being the main one yeah being the main one that's right well it's brought up in luke 24 what does it say verse 36 through 39 this is when
Starting point is 00:37:17 Jesus was done got hung on the cross and all his running buddies run up in that upper room and he just appeared in the room he said while they were still talking about this Jesus and himself stood among them and said to them peace be with you they were startled and frightened thinking they saw a ghost he said to them why are you troubled and why did doubts rise in your minds look at my hands and my feet it is I myself touch me and see a ghost does not have flesh and bone as you see i have that's a pretty cool it is but so he let him touch him so we're not going to be something to keep it on the cloud up
Starting point is 00:38:04 playing a heart that's what i used to think would be have little wings sitting on the cloud playing a heart i'm going to be me you going to be you no yeah well no our bodies are going to be changed but not change, all of the difference will be, we will change from what we have now and it will be glorified. Yeah. Change, but not exactly. Which I don't even know what to tell you what that means. Well, what it means is they were scared because they recognized with him because he was, he was, they knew what he was. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Who he was. No. He was him. Just changed. That's pretty cool. There you go. I love it. I'm way more in on that that I am on which Dr.
Starting point is 00:38:51 curses. Well, there's so many, there's so many verses in the Bible that are like that. Mm-hmm. Well, that's like Sunday was Kelly. You know,
Starting point is 00:39:01 people always say, well, I don't know if I'm going to, I'm going to make it to heaven. Well, wait a minute. Did you read what he said? Jesus has told you.
Starting point is 00:39:14 You can know that you're in going. Well, heaven is guaranteed to you. Yeah, you can know it. You can know it. That's like I always tell most people, most people don't know the average Christian what power he has at his disposal.
Starting point is 00:39:38 We can't accept it. Well, our belief system is not strong enough. It really isn't. Our mind cannot comprehend what God, has made available to someone like me. Number one, I'll give you one of them, which I have seen this work.
Starting point is 00:40:02 That's prayer. Prayer is very powerful. Most people don't realize, you know, when you walk in the throne room of God himself, Almighty, and you mention someone's name to the Creator, you don't realize what you just done.
Starting point is 00:40:25 I know it. You really don't because our, the only thing I say is our mind cannot comprehend what God has put at our disposal. We don't believe in our safe. Because when Jesus said, hey, if you say move to this mountain or fall in the ocean, but we don't believe it.
Starting point is 00:40:51 We don't believe it enough. If you believe it enough, it would happen. Oh, I can't do that. Yeah. But I can't do that. Is that where you're going with the three-mile slingshot through? No. If you believe it.
Starting point is 00:41:02 If you believe it enough. I don't know. I don't know. I ain't crow on that because I finally measured what a mile is. I think I'd throw it a mile. On a good day, I can throw it a mile. You thought he was coming to some epiphany, huh? Yeah, I was like, I told you how far a mile is.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Well, no, no, but you forget when you, you know. You still think you can throw rock to Chick-fil-A? I think I can throw it a mile on a good day with a good rock to Chick-fil-A. I can make it a mile. Walk out that door. Walk out that door swinging and you'll hear it. Not the first Chick-fil-A, the second Chick-fil-A. You make it to the first one.
Starting point is 00:41:36 I'm telling the whole world about it. You ain't got to make it to the second one. I'll take the first. I'll tell you right now, you make it to the Waffle House. I'm in. And not the first one. The second way. Either one.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Either one. Hey, I actually think I can throw one a mile on a good day. If he makes it to Grange, I know I'd throw it a half a mile I'm gonna be stunned he makes it to buy you butts and boons I was about to say if he makes it to where the snow cone stand used to be
Starting point is 00:42:02 I'll flip a lid yeah yeah I'm serious what you mean from behind the thing right over there to the road from the back to the road
Starting point is 00:42:14 I'll be stunned from here to Thomas Road hey if my arm like in the back of the day when I was younger I'm not my arm was Not to sling to the road.
Starting point is 00:42:28 The whole time you were bringing up Harry Kane, I thought you were going, I thought you were bringing up something different. What did you think I was bringing up? The Brandon Marshall deal. Have you seen that with his son over the weekend? Brandon Marshall, the receiver? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:42:41 What'd he do? Well, hey. You, of all people, ain't seen them? No, but in his defense, they, all they are is a magician. Oh, the witch doctor? A witch doctor? All he is, his hands are quicker than that.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Illusion. Yeah, it's illusion. An illusion, Michael. And he can convince you that, oh, I can control you. Well, that's what you're trying to do. Brandon Marshall is under fire. No, I said I had a little crow. No, I just, when you said we have a situation,
Starting point is 00:43:18 I thought you may have seen him get in trouble for discipline in his son and what he made him do at midnight. 2 a.m. Yeah. Brandon Marshall's kids might be on our World Cup team one day, just like Antonio Freeman. So I'm glad he's running. Yeah, you got him running.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Now, what do you think about this? I'm reading it just now. The punishment my man chose for his child was to go run. Run? You think that's a fit punishment? What did he do? He hadn't said that. Oh, just said?
Starting point is 00:43:51 Yeah, I mean, I guess that's... Well, here's... If the kid was sold to go to bed and he... didn't. Well, no, I'll get to run three miles. Oh, and you want to stay up? Here we go. I'll give you a chance.
Starting point is 00:44:01 I liked all the people in the comments on social media, like, I would have gladly ran over the beatings I took. Hey, punish my daughter. She did stuff that I didn't approve. All I had to do was threaten to take her books away. Take her books? Take her books. Oh, that was Joe Hiner.
Starting point is 00:44:20 Don't take it. I'm sure. Hey, she would say, hey, just do anything with me, whatever. but don't take it with a book. Well, here post Father's Day. What did they get you for Father's Day? Oh. That kid ain't running very hard.
Starting point is 00:44:33 They got me a recliner that said Best Knapper on it. I feel. And then they had the cars were, they had an old, old, oh, oh, pickup truck and said, you're a classic. You're a classic. There you go. I'll concur with that.
Starting point is 00:44:51 So it was pretty good. And I enjoy it. Lottie picked out my card. She did not understand the innuendo of the bass fish that was on it. But Allison thought it was where he is. Oh, there you go. Because there was a lot of thought went into the old cook. Gone there in the classic part.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Oh, God, yeah. It was pretty cool. Yep. The, uh, yeah. No, I think what got him is he was just riding in his truck next to him, what video. He wasn't running fast enough to get out and run with. And he got on him. He's like, pick up the pace.
Starting point is 00:45:22 Pick up to pace. Pick up to pace. That was Coach Bristow's punishment in high school. Man, you know how much I... Did you ever have to do a lap full of lunges because other kids didn't flush the toilet? Oh, yeah, we walked a whole track doing lunges football team. I mean, I'm like... You had to pick your foot up and act like you were flushing a toilet.
Starting point is 00:45:39 And every time you went down to do a lunch, Coach Bristow made you yell, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh. That way you would never forget to plush the toilet. You never forget the toilet. Hey, I remember from high school playing sports and everything, Running and bear crawls were very good tools to adjust expectations. Physical pain is a heck of a motivator. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:46:03 So like I got no issue with him making a boy run. Like, hey, go ahead, man. I don't know why everybody. Well, that's a two-fold thing. You learn something and it's also very good for you. What'd you do in the Army? Oh. What did you do in the Army when you, when, when you're
Starting point is 00:46:21 When he broke an order, either pushups or rowing, huh? How many pushups do you think you can do right now? Now, I'd be lucky if I got 10. But you can throw a rock amount? On a good day. I got that. I forgot the slang shot. Get this.
Starting point is 00:46:35 It's graduation date. Okay. I'm in dress greens. My dressed uniform. And Oliver gets in my face, puts his nose on my nose on my nose, and it's calling me all kind of names. and I bust out laughing. Well, he said drop.
Starting point is 00:46:54 Well, I just stepped back. I said, you got to be kidding. I'm going to dress green. Nope. He wasn't joking, was it? He said, are you going to get down or am I going to have put you down? That's when I would have got down. Well, I did.
Starting point is 00:47:07 You know how many push-ups I done before he wiped the grin off my face? 5754. No, 350. And I mean, hey, I ain't talking about, I ain't talking about it. The military style. Hey, well, I mean, you're going off. all the way the ground and all the way up. I'm a little heavier than you,
Starting point is 00:47:25 but I ain't never done no 350. But he finally did when I jumped back up after that 350. I'd have to try it real hard to be 350 in my life. I didn't smile. Total push-ups? We just didn't do them. I don't even know how many.
Starting point is 00:47:40 That's the greatest shape I've ever been in. In high school, we didn't do them. We just didn't do push-ups. You got to think about it. I'm trying to think of how long it would take me to do 350 push-ups. and I think it's a calendar, not a timer. You got to think about this.
Starting point is 00:47:54 I could probably get done in 24 hours. We run four miles. It's a lot of push-up. That's a lot of. Eight ten at a time. Come back to the mess hall. Got a ladder with a hundred rungs. Ten minutes.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Ten minutes. We just got there running four miles. Got a ladder with a hundred rungs. You got to do over the hung of rung ladder to go eat. You can't make it, you don't eat. Yeah, I didn't see what the big deal with. That was the best shape I've ever been in. Every world was in a tissy about him making his son run.
Starting point is 00:48:23 So I was like, my dad beat that one when I was like, right before I was a senior, I went and snuck off to go on a date with a girl. That's good. You pulled one of us does. Yeah. Well, thank God it was that. So as punishment, my dad made me do firewood all summer. And when I finished all the firewood, I went to the neighbor's house and did his firewood all summer long. Just splitting wood.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Just splitting wood from like. With an axe? with a hydraulic press and an X. Oh, my. No, but it was both. You four things. No, but you got to use a log splitter. You had to roll.
Starting point is 00:48:59 This is so bad. Oh, you had to, you had to take on my. I said both. All you had to do is make sure the log splitter didn't run out of gas. How's it? Or hydraulic. I did both. If you had to do it with a lags.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Yeah, you'd be like Jace. Yeah. That is a good workout. That's a workout. work out. You'd have been out of the firewood? Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:21 It sucks. You should have lied, Hunter. You ever listen to tell a story? You put them like this. Yeah. And then you used
Starting point is 00:49:28 the stang splitter. Oh, yeah. With a flat jammer. Yeah. To get it to fit on the splitter. And then I would have... Next time you tell the
Starting point is 00:49:37 hey, for neighbors outside use nothing but in acts. The splitter used to be, hey, a 10 pound fledgehammer with a splitter. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:49:46 I used that too. Yeah. I used that too. I used both. You should have left out the hydraulic part, honor. We're trying to teach you how to tell a story. None of us would have known. We weren't there.
Starting point is 00:49:59 What do you think he made his whole living off of? Details matter. 95% truthful. Details matter. He led with hydraulic press. Oh, hydraulic press. That's like when Phil got run over with a wagon. The question was,
Starting point is 00:50:18 That when he fell off of it? Oh, no, no. No, he's in the sand out in front of the old log cabin. Jimmy Frank has got a load, and here's where the question is. It's like Jesus's resurrection. Was it loaded with pine straw or was it loaded with wood that he had sold and split?
Starting point is 00:50:41 And there's always a big discussion about the two. I said it was loaded with wood. Do you generally go for the German? The stand pile playing field is, Jimmy Frank tells him to get out of the way. He's got Dan hooked to the wagon full of wood. The butler? No, the mute.
Starting point is 00:50:57 His older brother. He wouldn't move. So, hey, Jim Frank just said, get up, Dan. And, hey, the wagon wheel runs right over his stomach. No, it was wood. And until he died, he could push his stomach out and look like a woman that was nine points. Nine months pregnant.
Starting point is 00:51:21 Oh, Phil? Yeah. You never showed me that trick. A lot of the other people said it was pine straw. I think it was feathers. No, it was wood, split wood. Was it hydraulically pressed or was it? Oh, no, no, this was done with a sledgehammer and a splitter.
Starting point is 00:51:41 That's awesome. A wedge, a steel wedge. I remember one time I got all fired up and said, I ain't going to use that log splitter. log splitter right there. I busted me about six logs and I said, you know, I think I'm going to use the logs.
Starting point is 00:51:55 I think I'm going to use that. It's a fun little thing. Oh, my papaw even made one. Wood's a good time. My papal made one with like a boat winch on it with two big tongs. So you could go and push them tongs into that log and then you just crank that winch up
Starting point is 00:52:09 and get it up there to the hydraulic. You get it to the hydraulic and then you let the hydraulic split it. But you didn't even have to pick up the log by yourself. Now in fairness, I think it would have been easier picking up the log and working that boat winch under pressure. But, you know, it seemed like a good idea at the time. You know, a boat winch ain't got, you ain't getting, you don't take up a lot when you
Starting point is 00:52:31 have a bit of crank. It ain't a big. It's a lot more cranking that there is. Yeah. But he was so proud of himself and buddy, we used it. I'll be. Yeah. Them tongs wait as much as the logs did that he had on.
Starting point is 00:52:46 That's why farm boys were always. strong. Oh yeah, country strong. Country boys. Oh. Did you say farm boys? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:54 I thought you said foreign boys. No, farm. Farm. I think this is over. Look, no. I said, shatter down. It's time to shut her down. And I think it is clear that we all kind of have the World Cup fever in here,
