I think I swallowed a Junebug.
Sorry.
I got a bug in my throat.
I'm trying not to be a huge distraction.
I'm trying.
Spit that sucker out and get back.
And your dad or chew him up and swallow it.
Lock in, J.D.
It's a good protein.
Hey.
A bug's a good protein.
I ain't eating no bugs.
Hey.
I ain't Tumone and Pumbo.
Hey, look, hey, John the Badgers can't be wrong.
John David are there.
He survived on locust and honey, son.
He is convinced that he eats locust, by the way.
We got a lot of things to bring up that you've been
saying later? Well, I'll tell you what, you bring me a locust and it's a jaw honey and I'll eat
right here on the podcast. You heard it here.
You're the nature guy. I'll go find one.
Are there any locusts out at Camp Chioca this summer?
Yeah. You can find around.
Get us one and some honey. I'll find one. I'll be back.
All we'll do is different hunter nature sucker.
Any point. Well, we'll video it.
At some point. That's clickbait.
That's, yeah. We know what we're doing here.
No, Sa's been on a, on a roll lately.
Well, hey, look, it's 250 years of freedoms, you know, and I'll keep watching the news, which my wife talks about my daughter, and she said, you need to let dad quit watching the news. It's going to ruin him.
But I've learned a lot.
Hey, is it weird that we might agree with your daughter?
No, no, because I've learned a lot about it.
See, I'm watching Life, Liberty, and Levine.
Levine.
Oh, Fox.
Is that like a show?
I think it may be a different name.
Is that a show host name or something?
Yeah.
Here's a really big disclaimer.
I'm going to state, I am ignorant in this,
but I don't know if I've ever went on a TV and been like,
yeah, let me go turn on a news station ever.
In your entire life?
Yeah.
I've listened to, like, podcast on news or like an independent outlet,
but I've never turned on like CNN.
Right.
Ever since I've done the podcast about voting?
Uh-huh.
Okay, when Trump was running and it wasn't decided yet.
Right.
Oh, voting.
When did we do that?
Well, and then we got involved in the war with Iran.
Well, then I had to keep up with that.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then a rabbit hole.
You've been down a rabbit hole.
So that's been driving me in saying.
Yeah, no, I'm not dogging anyone that watches the news.
I'm just saying me personally.
I just like looking to more independent outlets,
but I've never like watching the news like that.
Well, you don't even have cable, though.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Even if you have a TV?
Yeah.
Or do y'all just watch stuff on your phone?
He ain't got time to watch TV.
I have a TV, and I never watch TV.
I don't watch anything.
If I'm getting to my news, it's from the news app or from Substack.
I don't even know what that is.
I'm only reading the news.
Oh, yeah, you're a reader, aren't you?
Yeah, I don't watch.
See, we're learning stuff.
We got every generation here.
How old are you?
30.
7.
That was weird.
30.
Oh, you're 30 now?
Just turned, yeah.
It's weird.
You're halfway to 60.
I know.
Go ahead, slow down.
I do like 30 better than 25.
I think turning 30 was better than turn 25.
35 was rough on me.
Yeah.
Because it was halfway to 70.
No offense, man.
Yeah.
I have to say it.
You young ones?
Amaze me.
What about them?
No, I'm serious.
I'm not a young guy.
Because him and Mary Kate have now have five young ones.
Uh-huh.
And he's only, what, 30 years old?
I turn that switch off.
Yeah, I tell you a woman, she's, she says she's special.
Okay, well, all women are, though.
Yeah.
It's been a lot.
They really are.
They really are. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Size into women.
No, I'm just saying, hey.
I don't think that's a secret.
Okay.
Just to be a good.
Number one, she marries a guy.
I got to put up with him.
Okay.
And then they, they get together, have kids.
Then she's got to try to raise his animals.
okay to be decent citizens.
Animals as in pets or human beings?
Human beings.
I was just making sure.
I didn't want the people to not know what we were talking about here.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, okay.
But hey,
I didn't know if it was like pets then humans,
you know,
I didn't know.
Because John Luke has a lot of pets.
Both are the best things.
You have a lot of pets too?
I have a lot of pets.
How many living creatures are on the property of John Luke Robertson?
Well, no, no, because, hey, that's the kids, though.
Well, there's seven kids.
Right.
Kids got to have pets.
Yes.
No, no.
This is like a personal.
No, not five kids and about 22 animals.
You have two animals?
I've got a lot of chickens.
Yeah.
Oh, you got a lot of chickens.
What's what the chickens?
I've got a desert, desert lizard.
Yeah.
Yeah, I've got the beard dragon.
His name is commander.
Down to one dog and then like 20 chickens.
You have a dog?
Yeah.
Which dog is yours?
Pippa is my dog.
I don't think I've ever seen that.
Yeah, well, she's inside.
She's already inside.
Okay.
Yeah.
So everyone's talking.
I don't let my dogs run around the neighborhood like everyone else in the compound.
Jay Stone's dogs.
We got a situation back there where you live.
What's that little fat dog he got?
A little fat one.
It's a blue healer, I think.
Nobody knows who his dog.
That's not his dog.
It is his.
He told me that.
You need to get a little winter dog.
What?
Why?
Hey, they're great pets.
Hey, I will say.
Oh, no, they're great pets.
People that have little winter dogs are like them little dogs that are blood-tracking dogs are the funniest dogs.
Oh, no.
Have you seen that?
Like people have a little tracking.
No, no.
Hey, what gets me is they look like their owner.
Yeah, yeah.
And they've got his mannerism.
Did you just call John Luke a wiener dog?
No, I'm thinking about Jason Robinson with his little two yippy dogs.
That does.
He's got yippy dogs.
Yeah, you've never seen Jason's dog?
I don't think I've seen one of them.
I just thought they do.
They're white and they're the size of this black panthers.
They're like, they're even smaller.
Even smaller.
They just look like actual rats.
I'm going to say a contrary thing here, too.
I don't like little dogs.
I can tolerate them, but like little dogs,
you're too much personnel.
Oh, no, no, no.
I dated a girl that had a little chihuahua.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And that dog bit me so many times.
It ain't funny.
Sadie and Christian got a little dogs.
They hate little dogs.
They hate clumsy people.
I'm not.
I was clumsy.
I'm going to say what I want to say about your sister and brother-in-law.
Yes, I am.
Because they were super nice and let me come shower at their house during the ice storm,
but that dog was on the dining room table.
That dog's crazy.
That dog's insane.
I call it a lemur.
Is that normal behavior?
Oh, yeah, that dog's crazy.
Oh, it's up on everything.
Is your dog on your dining room table?
I got two dogs, yeah.
Okay.
Is that the dog on your dining room table?
No.
Egg no.
Okay, I'm just making you guys.
Shut, lay out.
I got hunting dog and a big old golden doodle.
See, Jacob's the best dog.
He actually trains his dogs and they're trained.
That's good news.
Mine are Pippa's semi-trained.
It's a house.
This is a good dog.
But it's a house animal.
She's a great dog.
Yeah.
But no, we got a whole pack of wild dogs running around our neighborhood.
Yeah, we do.
Just the size.
What about the attack one?
Is that what we're talking about?
No, the other day, I'm walking.
Yeah.
Through the neighborhood.
And here comes John Luke with this random dog.
Like a big one.
Walking down Stone's driveway.
And I'm like, what, whose dog is this?
And John Luke, like, it keeps jumping in the pool.
I'm just trying to get it away.
It's like jumping on the kids.
Yeah.
He's jumping in the pool.
It jumped the fence into the pool.
Get it into the pool.
Just a random dog.
He's crashing the party.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, then he was a pool party.
He followed me for an hour and started living at my house.
He smelled that food on the fingers, baby.
He's my dog now.
Yeah.
It's still there?
No, it's not right.
It stayed on my porch for an hour.
You still have room to build him a house on your house, a little room.
No, he's not coming up.
He built him a little room.
He's not coming up.
Do you have dogs?
No.
I didn't think so.
I had a dog.
he's buried
he's buried at my current house
I am building a new house
I don't think I've told people that
I'm going behind the gate
I'm going behind the gate
I'm going to be Willie Robertson's neighbor
but when I've told my kids
we were doing that you want to know what Carter's
first words were
he said but what are we going to do
with Dublin's corpse
I was like we're not going to bring it with us
that's a great question
we're not bringing the dog graveyard with us
pick them up
because I'm pretty sure we buried Dublin
on top of the people's dog
that lived there before us.
So I don't want to get the wrong dog.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
It'd be a bad deal.
It is getting tricky with all the building and the, in our shared space because there's a lot of dogs.
I'm not going to have a single dog.
Yeah.
Promise.
In your new, yeah, in the news.
I might.
My kids want one.
So every once in a while, side, I go.
With a little bit.
I feel like I've got enough street kid to just walk around Willie's property wherever I need to.
But I don't.
I go fish.
Just to see what he's done with it.
what he's doing.
He's been seeing you out there fishing.
If I see on Instagram that Willie's probably not in town, I might peruse over and help
myself to see fish.
He may or may not take a fishing rod with him.
Every time I've seen him, he's there.
Fishing ride.
I have one.
But look, so the other day, we are on the golf cart and we're just driving around.
I said, let's go see what's behind Sadie's house.
And there's an annex of chickens far away from everyone's home.
And I don't know who's they are.
and there's three weird chairs looking at them.
What's going on back behind your house, John Lewis?
That's it.
That is the chicken annex.
That's the bachelor pad.
You have more?
Yeah, that's my second coop.
Those are just males.
Those are just the roosters.
That's the second chicken coop.
I have a word I could say here.
The chairs are unrelated.
I don't know why the chairs are out there.
The chairs are not to watch the rooster chickens.
Oh.
But that is where, so I started like breeding them.
So I started getting all these chicks.
So now I've got like...
Wait.
Wait, you're breeding chickens now?
Yeah.
Oh yeah, he brought it in a...
I need to hear the rundown of that.
Hold on.
I thought once they're eggs, you just eat them.
You're letting them become full-grown chickens?
Oh, yeah.
I got a whole operation.
Are you becoming a butcher shop, dude?
Yeah, well...
Oh, no, no, Colette.
Look, he can have young fryers.
Man, I am feeling great, looking great,
getting all kind of compliments.
Energy.
I don't have to take none of my meds.
no more. That is what's awesome because I forgot to take them half the time anyway.
My stomach flatter, a flitter.
There you go.
It's pretty awesome.
You look good, son.
The Ph.D. is the real deal, I'm telling you.
Whoa, whoa.
Most weight loss plans have one thing in common. They quit working eventually.
And then when that happens, the weight comes right back.
The Ph.D. weight loss, it's different. I'm 22 weeks thin. I'm almost 40 pounds down.
I'm feeling great.
I got lots of energy, which I need for them new twins.
But man, it's just I get around better, the menus, all kind of information on the website.
Even they just talk about how your body and how food affects your body and what this does
and what that does.
And it's just different.
It works for me.
Your body fights weight loss every step of the way when it's under stress.
GOP1 drugs can work as a quick fix, but they don't always take care of what's causing the problem in the first place.
Ph.D. Weight Loss works with you to develop a plan that works with your body and focuses on restoring your metabolism for good.
The goal isn't to lose weight once. It doesn't ever have to lose it again, y'all. And right now, call Ph.D. Weight Loss and mention.
Go on. And you'll get two weeks free in the program and they'll pay for your food. That's a $1,500 value, completely free. Call $864644-1900 and say,
Go on. Again, that's 8646464-11900 or visit my PhD Weight Loss.com.
Here's the deal.
I'm not that type of person.
But my wife is like, what if we get some chickens when we get back?
Because we got more land now than we currently have.
And so me and Big Dave are talking about chickens.
And you have a lot of chickens.
So I'm ready to learn.
Look, you got to think of, he'll make some cash on you.
He's got to think.
I'll buy chickens from you.
You're just turning them out.
You got five kids.
You've got to have some kind of work for them to do.
I don't know.
I was thinking he was just trying to feed them.
Oh, hey, raise the chicken.
Oh, just feed them.
Yeah.
Raise the chicken.
Hey, your job is you got to go feed chicken, clean up chicken coop.
Mm-hmm.
And then the best part of it is, hey, well, hey, look, mom's going to have fried chicken tonight.
Go out there and rain three or four of them.
Friars.
They're not doing that.
And then come back.
Those chickens.
Yeah, they are.
Those chickens got names at John Luke's down.
They do them with a butcher knife out there.
Yeah, so that's the key.
So I've got the one coop behind the house that is all those chicks,
all those chickens have names.
The kids get those eggs, all that.
Then I've got the second coop out in the field,
and that is the...
Food.
That's where you take it behind the barn and let it go.
That's the chicken night.
Yeah, that's dinner.
Those chickens don't have names.
Tyson ain't got nothing on that, kid.
I've got so many roosters,
so then I've just been putting them out there,
and now I've been letting them free range,
so now they're all walking around back there.
I had two more last night.
Oh, man.
That's fun to watch.
That may have been watching a bunch of chickens go out,
find grasshoppers and everything that lives in the wild.
I do have a lady that buys 200 crickets a week
and just goes and throws them at her chickens
and says it's the finest thing she watches.
Oh, I bet it is.
But the funny thing is,
so I've got those three chickens out there,
and then yesterday another chicken showed up in the field
that's not our chickens.
He migrated.
He migrated.
He migrated.
He's banded.
I love it.
Yeah.
How many chickens?
do you have?
So I've got five out there
and then, yeah, like 15 in the other
coop. Some of them, like
eight of them are chicks. Okay.
How many eggs do you get fresh eggs all the time?
How many eggs do you get a day?
You're like six eggs a day right now.
I mean, six to 12.
Half a dozen, babe.
That's two large burritos.
Oh, yeah. Well, here's my problem
though is I got
these, they're called saramas, which are like
the smallest chickens, and they're really
tiny. And so, like, five of my six eggs a day are like the size of, are like a whale. Yeah, like the size of, that's not a
burrito. Like a quarter. So it takes like four eggs to make one egg. He's got kids the ages. So I do get
six eggs a day, but they're all really, really tiny. Proportions. Proportionally. And I've got two chickens
that like normal size eggs. So then we eat those. You know what we need. No, that's like one here's his
uncle. An ostrich. That's what we eat.
dude. I've seen one of them.
Do you remember the ostrich farm?
Yes.
You're old enough to remember it?
Uh-huh.
Hey, oysters have eggs about the size of big giant coconuts.
Yeah.
We went to that ox ranch place.
Yeah.
We picked one up out there and it was huge.
Oh, no.
Hey, it's about the size of that stupid drum.
It's like a football.
Yeah.
It's about the size of that drum.
I'm serious.
It's heat.
And when you crack it open, hey, it covers a whole big old pan.
We ate it, too.
That's what they served was ostrich eggs.
Yeah.
I hear they're good.
I haven't had one in the years.
It tastes like eggs to me.
They're good.
I thought it was just a normal.
Oh, he cooked one.
He cooked one.
Yeah, I've had one.
I just,
I remember the ostrich farm.
That was a deep cut memory.
The ostrich farm of the family was long ago.
Yeah.
What'd they do with them?
Like,
to make what?
Lost money.
I don't know.
I was so young.
Because I didn't even know if you would remember it.
Because I was probably 10 whenever they were like,
this is more trouble than it's worth.
Let's farm some odd.
remember.
How many people do you know start in on the chicken coop and don't end up where
John Luke's at?
They're like,
this is exhausting.
And they're getting,
and I mean,
these things are the size of tarotachshunders.
I just thought of the ostrich farm the other day because Dave Ramsey was like talking about.
He's like,
oh yeah.
And one time all these rednecks started buying all these ostriches,
I was like,
that was like a thing.
There's other people have ostrich farms.
Like,
I thought that was just like our family that had it.
We're weirdos,
but apparently.
What, you got an ostrich?
No,
that's next step.
You would know for sure.
If John Luke had an
We do need an exotic animal in the neighborhood.
I can see his ride one.
You should get a peacock.
Yeah.
Hello. I see hello.
All right.
Let's divine exotic animals.
Like what is the threshold?
A peacock would be the base.
Yeah.
A llama?
No.
Lomas are in now.
I feel like they're close though.
They used to be.
They used to be.
Too many people got.
Does Willie still have a llama?
No, he died.
RIP.
I'm not even sad about it.
I didn't like that.
That thing was mean.
That was a meanest thing we had.
All right.
Let's name top five exotic animals that you could have as a pet.
He wants a giraffe.
Well, that's never happening.
That's not true.
People in Texas have it.
I need to like that.
We ain't in Texas.
Okay.
Or.
What did you say?
A black panther.
All the snow leopard.
Snow leopard.
He's going to need a bigger cage.
Well, you know, you tell him a pretty.
Snow leopard?
I want to, I'm talking about.
like practical exotic no no no we're not practical have you ever listened to us talk oh just think about
it hey you're laying in bed with a big big snow leopard laying right beside i can just imagine you
with like a cheetah robe on and i don't think a snow leopard could live in louisiana they'd be like
all them people in europe just passing out from the 80 degree weather that'd be like having a husky
here in louisiana yeah i had a buddy i had a wolf my son had one of them legit it's just too
hot remember my friend pick high i mean you're talking stuff so fur
Eric.
I had a cold on him.
He bought two dogs that turned out to be wolves.
I remember hearing about that.
Yeah, he was like, these dogs are getting older and not normal wolves.
Never buy your pets on eBay.
eBay.
That's pretty cool.
eBay's a bad place to buy anything.
No, no, he like went and picked them up.
And then as they grew older, we were all like,
that is a beautiful cat.
Something's off about that.
I mean, that's no leopard is.
I think a zebra would be a cool animal to have, like an exotic animal.
They used to be, like,
two or three on the way to Caney Lake.
Zebra.
Zebra?
I feel like you just throw it in there with the horses.
I don't know.
Hey, that's a, that always have, you know, why didn't Africa ride the zebra?
I think we talked about this one time.
We looked up zebras and jockeys, like racing.
And it made sense.
There's not enough of them.
Well, you mean there ain't enough of them?
There's way more horses.
And they're slow.
They're slow.
There's zebra.
In the world.
I know, but the zebra.
They got camels in Africa.
I'm talking about to Africa.
people, why didn't they do like
the Indians? Well, I think we
looked it up, and they're slower than regular
horses. I think we watched a video.
Yeah, but hey. This is episode 4.50s.
Riding a slow horse is better than walking.
I guess. Amen to that.
Amen. We started with that
Model T. 4, baby.
Because hey, the horse helped
he said, people move
westward. That would have been
on a T-shirt, had you said that
in 2013.
A slow horse is better than walking.
Well, no, no, because I,
I just always, that always blew my mind.
Why didn't the African people actually domesticate?
There wasn't enough of them.
The world may never know.
We looked it up.
There was not enough zebras to catch, train, and domesticate.
Like the population.
I think that somebody's lie.
Uh-oh.
That PBS told me that.
That's like one of the wild-out people say, hey,
you don't get to shoot a pintail this year
because they had a bad year.
And then you go to a refuge,
and guess what's on that refuge?
Thousand a thousand of pentails.
More pentails you can shake a stick at.
Yeah.
So they, hey, people will lie to you.
And I'm talking about, hey, there wasn't enough zebras in Africa?
I don't know a lot about Africa as well.
Because every time I see an African film,
all you see is a thousand zebra.
That's because they don't show you the empty parts.
I don't like, hey, let me show you the big field of nothing.
That's like when you said, hey, the dodo bird is extinct.
It is.
Well, he was extinct.
But hey, you're saying there wasn't many zebras.
Well, every time I've seen the African film,
matter of fact, who was it, was it John Wayne that, yeah,
was John Wayne that went to Africa and tried to domesticate all of them?
And they was roping, uh, if John Wayne couldn't do it.
Roping that thing there.
A giraffe.
There's roping giraffes and elephants and rhinos.
He was roping rhinos?
Yeah, they were roping.
That's a good way to die.
Well, I mean, hey, it showed them they, hey, turn it over one of the jeeps when they was doing it.
All right.
Are you ready?
Can I just, we've done this on this podcast before.
I've literally read this sentence.
Oh.
There's only estimated between 500,000 and 700,000.
50,000 zebras in Africa.
There's 3.3 million horses.
So, you still got 700,000 zebras.
And there's 32 million camels.
That's a lot of camels.
Well, that's why the Middle East people ride camels.
There it is.
I think what else said is the camels are easier.
The camels are easier to ride.
They drink a lot of water, and then they go for weeks in the desert.
You're kind of like a camel.
You got the same bladder.
No, no, that wouldn't be a wild animal to ride.
Have you never written a camel?
Hey, they have camel races and it's big bunny in it.
Because them suckers can run.
Look at gobbling, man.
Like, why have a jogger?
Yeah, yeah.
It's got, look.
Sunglass cleaner?
Here, wipe my glasses out.
Okay.

Me and John Luke found a gator.
Did you find it?
Where?
In our pond?
In our pond?
Yeah.
The pond, y'all all currently live around.
How big?
Six foot?
They're like six foot.
Well, that's pretty enough.
With kids, like he's got kids that's going to.
Oh, we didn't want it there.
Yeah.
And then, too Papa and my mom.
acted like me and John Luke were about to go wrestle
it and they were just panicked
that we were going to go swim with it
I was like I'm sitting 20 yards
on shore like I'm not close to it
yeah they were panicked but then
what was it y'all are hired you remember
devon it was devon from the film crew
who came and wrestled it
Devin from the film crew do you remember that guy
uh he was like he shot
like stuff for Discovery Channel
and ended up on Duck Dynasty
he walked up behind the six foot
alligator and just
grabbed it real fast.
It was the most impressive thing
I've ever seen.
And that's why
y'all got him out of there?
Yeah.
He took it back to the wild.
Yeah, he just threw it in his van.
He put him in Shoney Lake.
It was drove it, yeah.
I don't know if that was totally legal
what we did that moment,
but I think the Statue of Limitations.
Well, it had to go.
Yeah, I mean, I was probably
did the right.
At least 10 years ago.
Had to be.
Had to be.
You don't want to go in a while.
Oh, yeah, no, that was like 15 years ago.
We found one at,
for safety.
We found one during the wintertime in Dixie.
We had a little little slew behind the house
that froze, iceed, iced over.
We were doing something, you know, come up on it
and there's a gator, about eight foot long.
Frozen to death.
He was frozen to death?
He froze to death.
He didn't go in.
Did he wake back up?
He didn't go in and, you know, in time.
To the one end before it got, you know.
But, you know, freeze, ice is rare in Louisiana.
But it had a bad ice storm.
I thought we have allocators
because they don't like it.
Anyway, John Luke, how's camp going?
Are you camp directing?
Is it, I mean,
we're dead middle of summer.
I was over there the other night.
I know.
I know.
That's why I'm asking if we need to go back
and apologize.
Did we do okay?
A memorable night.
It was a memorable night,
no, y'all agree.
Sportsman's camp is over,
but how's camp in general going to?
Yeah, camp in general's going good.
We're right in the middle.
We've got three weeks left.
of camp.
So it's hot.
Who else do you have that goes out to have to speak?
Well, for sportsman's camp, Willie came Monday, and then you came Wednesday, and then Jace came
and wrapped it up on Friday.
Okay.
Yeah.
And I told the story and unashamed.
The, uh, for sportsman's camp, so when Jace pulls up, he drove straight from Nashville
and was like from Nashville, didn't even stop at his house, just straight to camp to speak at
seven. So he walked up. He was like, hey, I'm exhausted. Let's just, you know, do a quick
intro. I'm going to, I'm going to keep the, you know, my talk real short. I was like, okay,
you know, sounds good. Whatever you need to do. So I'll be about 15 minutes. And I thought,
I've never heard Jay speak, just say anything less than 30. So it's going to be great.
He got up. And so I'm selling the story and it's not going to sound like a compliment, but it is.
So I'm like, oh, he's going to go about 15 minutes.
So he gets up there.
He goes into it 15 minutes in.
He didn't even finish his introduction.
Oh, thanks to say, I knew.
It wasn't just 15 minutes ago.
He actually kept it short for him and ended it at 35,
which beat the record because Dad, my Willie, went 55 minutes,
and you went about an hour 15.
My favorite part is you keep saying,
Satt, me, Martin, and Godwin, were on the stage with you,
And we didn't say anything.
No.
Y'all were there for moral support.
It's kind of like chaos out of the faith family.
Oh, yeah, he did that.
The mouth of the South is here.
What do you mean?
I didn't get to say nothing.
It's a Robertson trait.
John Luke said this isn't going to sound as a compliment.
Hey, I ain't got a button off button boys.
Oh, man.
Okay, so y'all are young, athletic, would you say?
Sure.
Boy, that was not confident.
Well, it's more like, do you want to be proud?
rifle I mean I would say we're semi-athletters
I don't know I yeah I need an hila sometimes
boy's got five kids
he's an athlete
trust me he's an athlete
okay well I have one email that we have got to get
to today y'all probably don't watch the duck call room
do you you got five kids
18 jobs no
delusional call on us
who are they talking about there
all of you so you're married in
You're a Robertson, so buckle up.
Laura emails in.
Recently, Satt, was telling us a story about how he once threw a rock three miles with a sling.
Three miles.
We talked him down to where he can still, to this day, he can't walk to the door without oxygen, but he can throw a rock one mile.
I think I've actually got a good rock.
I can make a mile of that.
Hey, matter of fact, I got...
Back up to a mile and a half.
A good day.
You know you can't throw a rock a mile.
He truly believes he can.
But that leads me to Laura's email because recently your sister's been on the internet
talking about how she can just walk out and hit home runs.
Right.
No big deal.
Who's this?
I don't think she did either.
Sadie?
Sadie.
Sadie thinks she just hit her home run?
Just over the fence, no problem.
So now I understand the delusional cop.
You think you could throw a rock a mile?
That's crazy.
Well, the thing.
That doesn't matter.
What do you mean?
So the question Laura has is after seeing both of these things on social media,
throwing a rock a mile,
Sadie just walking out, Barry Bonds and home runs.
She said, is it a gene trait in y'all's makeup
that y'all just think y'all can do anything that comes in your head?
You're married in, so you might have the most...
I want to say I'm under note.
I'm under no delusions, but I did think I could do a backflip,
and I did a backflip this year for the first time of my life.
At 30?
At 30?
From the ground, just jumped and did it.
You got to understand.
Could you do it right now?
No, I've still not recovered.
That was about six weeks ago.
On camera.
You got to understand this came from Merritt Robertson.
Yeah.
Because when we...
It comes from the top?
Well, it comes from mom.
Because I once heard Willie talk about becoming vice president.
Like, as a casual, like, maybe I do it.
And I was like, this comes from their grandson, Willie's grandmother.
Because she told all her kids, don't be a follower.
You lead the pact.
Well, that's where all this comes from, this confidence.
Because she said, hey, no.
That's why I had so much trouble in the military.
Think about that.
You've got men.
that are over you that are called officers.
Well, that didn't fit well with me.
Yeah.
My mother had told me to be a leader.
From outside in, I would just say,
I would say the people I have the most
is Willie and Corey in how they raised everybody.
So I would say it's just a confidence thing.
Now, you can take that confidence and be delusional
or you can be rational.
So it's like, how much, do you see any other delusional confidence, Jacob?
I'm not trying to get you in trouble.
No, no, no.
I will back down.
I would say a lot of it's rational,
but I also think some people just say stuff
and don't really, like, think about what you're saying,
just like most people.
I mean, I'm that same person.
I have the same problem, but I'm just saying if you're raised.
When I actually measured a mile with a pickup,
I said, maybe I'll drop it down to like a point.
See, look, he's already changed it.
I was just thinking, do you think you could shoot a bow,
like a little bow?
I'm not saying hit a target.
I just mean, like, if you pull back a bow and aimed up high,
do you think it would go about,
not even a thousand yards?
you think it would go a mile like i don't even know i don't think so see i brought that up when we had this
you go a mile look no no i brought that up when we have this uh a sling thing yeah oh the phone
look we used to make homemade bowls how far got us a limb bigger enough to make a bowl yeah
homemade arrow yeah okay they're making recurts and hey we would go to the cliff on red river
and i could shoot that sucker probably what 350 maybe the five
hundred yards.
Two weeks ago, this was a homemade bow now.
Yeah.
So look it up, I bet you could look at it.
Hey, here's the thing.
I'll park in a compound bow sheet.
Hey, here's, hey, you need to take Christian
with his, you know, born out.
Why don't we need to go to him?
I'm just saying, what's that?
Oh no, no, no, no, no.
So here's just, yeah, Christian being able to do something
and you being able to do something
of two different things.
Well, no, no, no, no.
But what is he gonna change?
Hey, well, I'll ask you this.
How far can a man with a boat, a man with a boat?
Yeah.
Shoot a arrow.
That's what I'm saying.
I don't know.
I'm saying, you're talking about hit a target?
Maximum theoretical range is 550 yards.
See, there you go.
Here you go.
See, I don't buy that.
Oh, my gosh.
I don't buy that.
Ripley's believe it or not, boys.
Hey, hey, hey, yo, because, hey, look, I don't know the pound is you can
go up to because I think the guy in high school, his was 80 pounds.
Yeah, I think you might crank it.
Right. A 40 pound pull might shoot it 580 pounds.
You can double that, baby.
You can put that in there.
I look like James Brown.
With your new Tocobos?
Oh, yeah.
Where's your favorite place to wear your Ticova's boots?
Seriously.
Hey, I dancing somewhere.
Dancing?
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Hey, dad or go ride a horse somewhere.
Hey.
Hey.
Go out to Williams farm.
Jump on one of them ponies.
He's got, it's like having a good,
a brand new pair of socks when you put them on.
They always feel so fresh and, and it's good.
Yeah.
That's the way Tocovus feels.
Whether you're going dancing or horse riding,

Tocovus.
Point your toes west.
Would you like me to Matthew Rock?
Yeah.
Because I will math.
Holly actually did.
it. Shout out to Holly. She sent me and Martin an Instagram message. This is a girl.
Yes, Holly's a girl. Okay. Who cannot throw a rock that far. Okay. To throw a 1.17 ounce rock
three miles, you would need an initial swing or release speed of approximately 740 miles per hour,
which is roughly the speed of sound. And in reality, because air resistance slows projectiles down,
you would realistically need 875 miles per hour to achieve that distance.
And that is thrown at an angle.
She's got words that I haven't used since I was in high school math,
like cosine and sign, of 40 to 45.
Yes.
I think, well, right.
Now, here's the deal.
One mile, you got to go 350 miles per hour, Randy Johnson.
Here's the deal.
Okay.
Let's take, okay, someone that's five years younger than John Luke.
25.
It is in pretty, is in good shape.
Okay.
Okay.
Say someone like Christian.
Okay.
Okay.
Give him a slingshot with a good sail rock.
It's flat.
It's got to be the right rock.
Yes.
And a good day.
It's got to be our aerodynamic.
Better give him some steroids.
Okay.
He's going to need everything.
Well, no, no.
And he better be on top of a plane.
Hey, I'm telling you, because, hey, I go back to the Bible story of David and July.
Oh, goodness.
How far do you think he thought?
Hey, look.
three miles away.
Look, if a kid, a teenager,
can throw a rock
and bury it in a giant's head.
Yeah.
You don't have to throw it.
And kill him dead, graveyard dead.
Uh-huh.
Well, that has to, hey, that giant's head
has got skull.
Let's look up speed of rock.
It has a bustle bone.
Penetrate skull.
Okay.
They've done that.
We're about to do a whole MythBusters episode
on Sai and his slingshot rock.
No, no, no.
And we're going to get one of those gelatin heads.
Here's what I tell you.
And I'm going to get a jugs mile per hour gun,
and we're going to do a video of him slingshot
and see how fast he can throw it.
To go 300 yards, you need approximately
115 miles an hour.
Holly, shout out.
Now, that, I would say that's possible.
That can be done.
That can be done.
That can be done.
One mile?
Because, hey, I'm telling you, you get the right one and the right sling.
Yeah.
people can throw a fastball 100 miles an hour.
You can definitely throw a slingshot with momentum
115 miles an hour.
If a guy just hits a mile.
Yeah, with his arm comes out.
Well, hey, you think, okay,
take a pitcher that can throw a hundred mile die
and put his sling in his hand,
hey, he's going to be faster than a hundred miles die
with that sling.
Honestly, better than that.
Somebody that throws a jiveling,
I bet you could throw a sling shot better.
See, I told them that.
I threw a jiveling once.
Hey, Phil threw a javelin on like 100 yards.
And look, this is a stick.
Yeah.
Okay, because you got to know it,
it's all about throwing it at the correct angle.
Hold on.
What we need is an Olympic discus thrower.
Yeah, yeah, too.
Who's that?
That's a small rod.
I think, think about this, because I bet we can get an Olympic disfewski.
I wonder how fast, really.
Out to Camp Chioca.
Like, what's the guy that blew up the pigeon,
Johnson?
Was that the other day?
Oh, Randy Johnson.
Yeah.
I was going to Eagle the Pigeon.
Think about Randy Johnson was a sling in his hand.
Okay, and how fast a hundred mile an hour pitch.
He does that, you know, just with his arm.
You get him the string,
and I guarantee you he would either double it or maybe he would even triple it.
He might could swing that thing.
First Samuel right there.
I was going to say this.
When you said Randy Johnson, is his name Randy Johnson?
Uh-huh.
He looks like Alan Jackson, kind of.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, he does.
You could sell some T-shirts at General Vintage with Randy Johnson's face on him.
Dude's a savage.
I was never, I was watching that ballgame.
And he comes off the mail.
That thing to smear the reins.
And look, then it looked like somebody shot it with a 10-gauge.
But like a pillow plate.
Pillow-up.
Hey, it just blew up.
there's one everywhere.
I've got a bad news for society, though.
What?
Because I googled Randy Johnson
and Google said people also ask,
did the bird survive?
No.
Well, that's actually the answer.
No, the bird did not survive.
He blew up.
I think it's a joke.
There's like this page on Instagram
called Nature is Metal
and there'll be like some crazy stuff
that happens in nature,
like an animal dine or an animal kill
and the other.
And people will comment on me like,
Does it hurt the animal?
It's like a joke.
It's like a thing because some people would say that.
If you say nature is metal?
Yeah, have you ever seen that?
Blow up all.
I'll just.
I said the following that pitch because of you.
That page is awesome.
I saw this another,
this is a nature as metal thing.
I took a video of it.
I need to send it in,
but the other day at the farm,
it's probably six months ago.
I watched a blue heron
heal another blue heron in the pond.
I'm talking about suffocated in the water.
I just watched.
Grab it and burned it.
Yes.
And just, he literally,
yeah.
So they have like really long necks,
like a giraffe.
And like he literally put his feet
on the breast of the other blue heron
and pushed it and stretched it out.
You didn't video it?
I have a two-minute video of it on my phone.
You're going to share it?
You want to see it?
Yeah, we want it.
He's like,
uh-huh.
Send it.
Text it to me.
Sign it needs to see this.
I need to see that.
Because look,
I watched the stupid one of these turkey buzzards.
how's it got to be stupid?
Hey, he ate about a 12-pound bass.
This thing was like, looked like that long and this wide
because he kept throwing him up in the air and catching him.
And literally, he wanted it.
Yeah.
Go.
Where was this 12-pound bass?
Huh?
If, hey, he caught him in an 80, I know that.
So them things, you something crazy.
A turkey buzzard caught a 12-pound bass out of shinny,
which is impressive by itself
and then flew it all the way to Size's house.
No, no, it was on television.
This was a show.
This is PBS.
It was a fishing soap.
I built ants and saw this.
You know, I just, when I looked and he swallowed him,
I went, no wonder they hate these things.
And they kill a bunch of them.
We need to come out with a turkey buzzard bait.
A turkey buzzard bait.
Just, you catch a 12-pound bass.
Filler.
He goes to church with us.
Uh-huh.
He's a government man.
A wildlife agent?
Yeah.
And hey, he goes out and they shot thousands of them.
You know, and that day was always saying, oh, they're just think you can't kill them.
You're talking about like predation tags or something?
Yeah.
So, hey.
You know, but hey, that's why there, if a bunch of them descend on a farm, a fish pond,
that, you know, that are doing it for business, hey, they'll eat the pond dry.
This video is...
You get a 12-pound bass.
Good, great, you know.
Is there snow on the ground?
Yeah, this is like during the ice storm.
Oh.
Well, I don't know how to get it on the TV,
but me and Sire currently watching it.
I watch it.
I said, okay.
This was like for 10 minutes.
Yeah, it takes a long time.
I made Bell and watched.
She was in the car.
I was like, we got to watch this, man.
Did anybody just hear what Sight said?
What he said?
He goes, yeah, it takes a long time.
a long time to drown.
Well, no, it does.
Have you ever done it?
This is crazy.
Well, come close.
But, you know, you got to think about,
they bound to have a dispute over the fishing grounds.
No, I looked it up.
They're, like, pretty territorial, like the males.
So I think if another male came in,
I think that's just kind of what they do.
Like, that was his pawn,
and he was going to let that dude know.
Hey, that's a big bird.
Oh, yeah, he's huge.
No, no.
Those are giant.
And I'm just telling you, I'm just driving down the deal.
I'm like, oh, my God.
That's just happening in your yard?
In the pond, at the pond.
All I hear is, wow, wow, wow, I'm like, oh my gosh.
Territorial dispute.
I'll tell you, he doesn't took them down.
Is that how y'all used to act back in Vivian?
Hey, we follow up.
I'm glad the world's not like that anymore.
Hunter, I'm trying to send you that, by the way.
The clip is crazy.
Watching wildlife, you learn a lot.
Yeah, they're...
I'm serious.
Survival of the fittest.
Hey, that's the way life works.
He's not wrong.
There's no emotions playing into their decisions, really.
They're just trying to eat or do whatever it is that God programmed them to do.
I like it.
Delusional confidence.
He's still reading the computer.
Oh, I meant to say one thing about that.
Yeah, tell us more.
Usually with people of confidence, would you say they fail?
more or less than those without confidence?
I guess it would just have to depend on like...
They keep trying, is it?
Yeah, they keep trying.
I would say they probably more,
but it also depends on the kind of confidence.
Do you have rational confidence or irrational confidence?
Some would call it...
Yeah, most of your leaders, okay,
they're very confident people.
Yeah.
It just depends on what you're confident in.
I'll put the question.
If you're confident in Jesus Christ,
or you're confident in something else.
Like a different religion, what would you say?
Well, no, I would say that's what I was going to bring up one ago with a sling thing.
Yeah.
With man, you're limited.
That is not what that verse is about.
With God, everything is a...
Hey, Philippians 413, I can do all things through Christ.
That's the one he's right.
He's just like, he's going to look like Tim Tebow out in the parking lot with a sling here
pretty soon, just throwing rocks.
Somebody, hey, somebody put Si in a picture like King David throwing a song.
You need to look at your clothing.
The gladiator gear.
You probably can find the one.
What?
Find me a boot that's got a long leather tongue.
Okay.
And then cut it out.
Update.
Martin bought me two.
He bought me two.
He bought me two and they're not,
they're not,
I've got to build my own.
Oh,
no.
I never thought about it at the time.
We should have had the sling to throw at the pigeons on the,
on the gin,
cotton gin.
I'd have had more pigeons in my chicken coop
Do you have any pigeons in your chicken coop?
I don't have any pigeons.
I got some pigeons at camp, though.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
You have pet pigeons?
Did you get some more bees?
They just live in the pavilion.
Have you got any more bees?
I got my bees.
He's got more bees.
Oh, I forgot about that.
I also got about 100,000 bees.
So you can count that to my living animals.
Bees.
Well, he's going to have all kind of honey and honeycom.
I'll pull some honey out for our locust and honeymeal.
Hey, there you go.
When he finds the locusts, he gets, he'll bring fresh honey with the local.
You also have bees?
Yeah.
Yeah, we kind of ponded off on him after that.
We done a film on that.
Yeah.
And he took you.
They're up there by the gate.
They used to be in the back field, but now they're up there like by the gate at the front of the driveway.
John Luke can tell me if I'm wrong, but John Luke inherited all animals from Doug Dynasty, the Revival.
All from Doug Dynasty, the Revival.
Anything that showed up is the yours.
Any animal that was on the show is now.
He did it willing.
I did it will.
I did it.
I did you take that dog back.
Wait, do you or your kids ride the horses?
Who's got horses?
At the farm?
At the farm?
Yeah.
I mean, we used to ride the horses.
I don't ride horses.
I don't ride horses.
I'm not getting on horses.
They're just grazers.
Yeah.
Oh, horses are great.
They're not grazers.
They're great.
I disagree.
I mean, I agree and disagree.
Well, you look at them every day.
You get to see the horse.
I'm not touching a horse.
Horses are cool.
I just.
Once the horse realized.
Well, you didn't enjoy it once you started doing it.
No.
Yeah, you would.
I'm against horses.
Against him?
Yeah.
I'm not getting on no horse.
Wow.
What if he figures out that he's in charge?
That's when you busts, you push it right in the nose.
And that's when he turns around him.
You're going to bite him.
If you punch a horse in the nose, you're going to break your hand.
Okay.
I have one bite me, and I punched him as hard as I could hit him right there in a note.
And he lifted me.
I had the reins in my hand.
Illusional confidence.
And he lifted me off the ground.
And then I pulled him back up to him and I said,
now do you know who's in charge?
We should start a series.
Or do I have to punch you in the nose again?
Fictional stories.
That's me, you stupid idiot.
Can I add something weird?
That's called the Duck Call Row.
Add that to our MythBusters episode.
Can I add something weird?
Please do, Hunter.
I once went on a date with a girl and we were messing with bees.
We were filming a bee video.
And I totally forgot about this.
Hold on.
What number date to get to?
backstory to this.
Yeah.
Date number two.
Date number two?
You went straight to B-N-Bee's story.
Date number two, you were like, you like B's?
I needed, I had to go film a video of my best friend's mom messing with B's because
that's her whole job.
And I was like, I'll just bring this girl with me.
We both kind of know cameras.
It didn't go so well.
Did you get stung?
I did, I did.
How many times?
Just once on the hand.
Did she get stung?
I don't think so.
Oh.
And she's still
She's not around anymore
No, she's crazy
She's gone with the wind
She's crazy
You took her on a date with bees
Yeah, well
Not even like
Hey, we've been together for a while
You want to go see some bees
Like hey, we hung out one time
I'm a fun time
How many
How many?
Fun time
Yeah, I take you to go see bees
Is this your dating profile?
He doesn't need a dating profile anymore
As soon as we tried to make him one
He's like practically
Married
You have that guy
girlfriend still?
Hey.
Not the bee.
Not the bee.
Another one.
B.
B story.
Ben Phil is squirrel hunting.
Okay.
And he crosses a fence.
He goes first.
And the fence post is
right down the ground
and just, you know,
up hanging on the wire.
Well,
Phil went through and shook it up.
Well, guess what's inside
that rotten
fence post?
Bees.
Bees.
When I got to,
you, yo, I split my pants when I get through there.
Well, they get after me.
And I had read somewhere in a book that if you're being chased by a swarm of bees,
fall down and they will just go over you and they'll have to come back to try to find them.
I was in Winnie the Field.
Well, hey, here's what I didn't know.
I had ripped my pants and guess what?
I had a target.
A bullseye.
He had a full Zah.
He had a full moon.
You know, and if you've ever watched Bob Bow Wow Backsheep,
the, you know, World War II story about, you know.
Is this a movie?
Yeah, no, yeah.
It's the guy that was, they had a squadron of fighters.
Okay.
They were fighter power.
Well, hey, I remember a lot of his, yo, they'd be flying over
and the leader would say, I'll get on the radio and he'd say,
hey, right down below us, there's the target.
That's the way the bees was the day.
I fell down and all it did is leading to the bees and then, hey, they stung me 27 times on my beehine.
That's the biggest my butt has ever been.
And my mother, when she was pulling the stingers out.
So it was just like regular size?
No, no, no.
You could actually sit on the toilet.
Mama was just dying life and pulling the stingers out.
And I said, it ain't funny.
She said if you can see how big your butt is, you would laugh too.
Yeah, you would laugh because the other day I posted that video of you with the slingshot
and the top comment was, Si has negative butt.
Look it.
No, no, yeah.
Negative.
Your shoulder blades stick out further than your cheek.
I come down off my back and it goes in.
I say this.
I'll say this like I say to Zane.
Your type person's legs, even with the lid down, you still fall in the toilet when you sit on it.
Got him.
That's a cool one.
Oh, boy.
All right.
What's your guys?
Well, I had to go look up what
Ba-Bah Black sheep was.
That's apparently a TV show from 1976.
Bob-Bah Black Show.
That was, who's the star of it?
I don't, none of us were alive.
I mean, who's the star of it is?
The star, come on.
I don't know.
That guy.
Yeah, well, what's his name?
Robert Conrad.
Yeah, Robert Conrad.
Mr. Conrad.
Mr. Conrad was Major Greg Pappy.
Yep.
What a name.
Pappy but Williamson.
I have no idea.
Anyway, in 1 John 5, the Bible says this.
John's writing it.
John wrote First John, right?
Yeah.
Had to have.
First John, John, right of John.
You can say that.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you want to know that you have eternal life.
This is the confidence we have an approaching God that if we ask anything according to,
his will, he hears us, and we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we
asked of him.
Guess what I'm going to say before I throw that rock.
Uh-oh.
Or let me throw it three miles.
You better hope it's in his will.
That's the only way it's going to happen, please.
You better hope it's in that will, baby.
He's going to hear you.
If he's going to angels in the outfielded out there, we'll see.
We don't have because we don't ask.
So guess what?
That day, I'm all last.
Ask it with confidence, baby.
Oh, let me throw this rock three miles where I get in Jody and Martin's face.
We need some prayer warriors for size of rock throwing abilities.
All right, we got to go.
We'll see y'all next time right here in the duck call room.
