Well, all right.
Are we ready to do this?
Nope.
Are we going to do it anyway?
Sure we are.
Yep.
This is either going to.
Just what time of year it is, guys.
Oh.
Hey, it's duck hunting season coming up.
We hunt the ducks this time.
We hunt ducks.
The time of year, we hunt duck.
Oh, and if you're new to this, if you ain't been listening to us for a while,
this first time, we got something really cool to tell you before we get started.
Look, our friends over at Duck Stamp.
or changing the game for the federal duct stamp.
You can now get your duct stamp on your phone.
Digital.
Digital.
You no longer have to worry about having a paper stamp with you, losing it.
They're getting wet.
Yeah.
And you don't have to sign it.
None of that stuff.
You can get.
Oh, wait.
Look.
Signing it was a big issue.
There you go.
Oh, it used to be a big.
I've got a digital duct stamp digital now.
Do you know how many times I've been out in the field and been scrambling to
find my duck sand.
Also, dear, thank you for listening to our show because we've been reading this for a while.
So we really appreciate your support.
Within the first 12 minutes, we really say a lot.
So you're not even tuning in at all.
Yeah.
So, yeah, you're not even scrubbing us anymore.
I appreciate that.
Love you all.
Yeah, sure you do.
But we figured we would get that out.
Look, we're having one of these rare episodes today where we're doing a same-day turnaround.
It is September 11th at 1009 right now.
Yeah. So it, you know, in lieu of all the things, right, of this date, and then also what happened yesterday, we figured we would try to get y'all a quick turn one.
Man, I don't even know what to say. I don't. I don't know. It's just.
I called him shaking. My whole body was shaking. My heart was racing because, and I hope that they figure out a way to take this down.
but I saw it happen.
I saw the whole video of it happen.
Yeah, which is really annoying.
It's very traumatic.
That that's okay to put on social media.
Yeah.
We can't say other words and things.
Like, come on.
Yeah.
It's been on a loop literally in my head since yesterday.
I was never, I'll say this.
I didn't see the video.
And since she did and I knew it existed,
I knew not to get on social media.
I was never happier to be putting out corn.
and food for deer, right?
Because I was completely distracted, completely uncut.
I cut the cord.
I was out in the woods doing things.
So really the only thing that I knew when she called that it happened,
I got the news notification that he had been shot.
And when I say he obviously were talking about Charlie Kirk,
a very young fella, 31 years old with a very young family that,
man will forever be changed right i mean it's forever changed it is i don't know i don't i mean it's just so
how are we at a point in the world where human life has valued that little that this guy i've
look to be fair i knew who charlie kirk was didn't keep up with him a lot knew the things that he
had done but didn't watch it but every time i did watch him
and watched a bunch of stuff last night,
just preparing for this too.
He always seemed to be okay with having an extremely respectful debate.
Like he didn't name call.
He didn't.
And he talked with everyone.
No matter what life of life you had,
he wanted to have a respectful conversation.
How can you be mad enough at a guy that will actually have a conversation with you,
rather than just spewing off name calling and all the things to do that.
I don't, I'll never understand.
I'll never understand how we value life that little these days.
We used to value it a lot more.
That's what I'll say.
Like that's, you could have a conversation and, you know, the worst happened.
I mean, I just.
Well, there's ways to settle your differences besides, you know, going to the evil side, so to speak.
Yeah, because the difference isn't settled.
Like the, if anything, you made it more unsettled.
Right.
So what did you do?
You stopped one guy.
Like you shut one guy up in theory, but you didn't shut him up because now.
Man was 31 years of old for crying out loud.
Yeah, with two very young children.
Well, and everything he done, okay, was positive.
Yeah.
He was...
And you actually took a life.
A soul was lost
when you decided to do what you did.
And you can't take it.
It's like when talking to people
that are thinking about getting married.
I said, well, don't ever say something in anger.
Yeah.
Because you can't take it back.
Or you can't take it back.
Yeah.
Once that genie's out of the bottle.
Whether you meant it or not, you said it
and they hurt it.
Yeah.
Okay.
And hey,
that hurts.
It does.
It does.
And it takes while for...
Like, what he did,
what that guy did,
they'll never be taken back.
No.
You took a father away from his children from trying out loud.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Over what you didn't like what he said?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Come on.
Good.
Grief.
You know, like you said,
where is your respect for life?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just for a human, right?
Yeah.
Or another human being, you know, he has a right, you know.
What he believes, he has that right.
Yeah.
And he heard everyone else out.
He heard.
Well, no, no, like you said, he was always willing to, well, tell me your side of the story.
Tell me your side.
Yeah.
And he respectfully listened.
Yeah.
And it's just shameful.
Yeah, that's wild, man.
It's, uh.
I run my mouth sometime when I, I shouldn't.
Amen, brother.
Oh, I'm sure.
You just, you do it.
Yeah, because we're sinful.
You're not thinking about, well, wait a minute.
He's got why he believes it's so much his way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So to be fair, you know, hey, you know, it's, you need to be slow to speak.
Amen.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that's one thing I struggle with.
I as well.
I really do.
I work at that daily.
Because when I see something stupid, you just, you can, you know, because hey.
That's why I had so much respect for him because I actually watched a lot of his videos and his debates.
And I was thoroughly impressed. I would be sitting there yelling at the screen and he would just be sitting there, cool, calm, collected and rebuttal in a very respectful way.
And I thought that that was amazing. I aspired to have that level of so.
control.
Well, I just know a great,
a great soul was cut short.
Yeah.
Because we never know what,
what he could have done in the future.
Now, I always look at that,
you know, when, you know,
to bring it up about, you know, people
that have, you know,
they go and have a child taken out of their wound.
You don't know what you just did.
Yeah.
You may have had, because when I spoke to a, I went back to my kindergarten,
a teacher asked me come speak to the children.
And I said, you know what amazes me about standing here looking at you?
I said, I may be talking to the next president of the United States of America.
Or the next person that comes up with a cure for cancer.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Or anything.
I ain't like.
When the soul is gone,
you know,
I always,
I always know,
Jeremiah 29 verse 11,
God speaking,
about,
hey,
you have,
you have no idea
the plans I have for you.
Not to harm you,
but to prosper you
and to give you a future,
hope for the future.
You know,
that's why,
and that's,
I was asked to speak
to the troops
on four,
folk because of suicide right yeah that's that's what I said I said hey if you get nothing else from
my visit with you please don't harm yourself mm-hmm god has a plan for you
you matter and you have no idea what it what it could be involved you may save a you know
a lot of people's life just by your life how you lived
If you are still breathing on this planet, your purpose is not done.
Yeah.
You still have a purpose.
God created you for a purpose, okay?
And, hey, all I can say is, hey, don't mess with what he's got in store for you.
Yeah.
Harming yourself or harming another person.
Yeah.
Yeah, the, uh.
Have a, have respect for life.
All right.
look springtime is here it's warming up you know what that means that means more outside cooking and
and y'all know we love to eat beef around here and that's what because of our friends over at try
tails beef makes such a good product baby ain't it good it's so good it's our friend sall robertson would say
buy on the grill look before we got tritels getting ready for a cookout man somebody had to run the grocery
store do all the things grab whatever was left in case you were late in the day and you never really know
where that beef comes from.
But with Tritails beef, we skip the grocery store and do it a different way.
Triedales comes from a family ranch out in Texas.
They're a fifth generation American ranch.
So they've been at it for a while.
Now, look, the beef comes straight from their ranch and other ranchers they work with
who raise cattle the same way.
Their steaks are properly aged and shipped straight from the ranch to your door.
We threw a couple of ribbys on the grill.
Look, salt, pepper, garlic, hot fire, that's all you need.
Look, because I'll tell you what, when the beef comes from people who raise,
cattle for a living, you can taste the difference. The tenderness and the flavor are fantastic.
So if you're stocking the freezer for grilling season, go check out Triedales beef.
I know in size case, Christine loves it, which is just a, she doesn't eat meat.
She ain't a big meat easier, folks. Yeah. Just go to trybeef.com slash.
That's trybeef.com slash support ranch families and eat some dang good steak.
I don't want to be disrespectful of Mr. Kirk in any way.
but his unapologetic stance for Jesus Christ,
we know where he is.
If we believe what we say we believe,
we know where he is.
And so, you know, at 31 years of age,
while that is cut way short on this earth,
only eternity stands in front of him.
So, you know, we will see Mr. Kirk again for sure.
and I would suspect that even now, you know, a lot like Phil that in his absence, his ministry will grow.
Yeah, the ripple effect.
Because one of the coolest things that I saw last night after it had time had passed and I figured they had time to take the nonsense down of the actual video.
And I wasn't worried about getting on social media anymore.
one of the most shared things I saw was a tweet from him that was about Jesus.
Jesus is the way.
And there's a few of them he had.
There's one answer.
Today's a good day to tell someone about Jesus.
Yeah.
So like there's, you know, that is, you know.
Well, with him, you knew where you stood.
Yeah.
Of what he believed in.
Yeah.
Yeah, he was bold enough in that to say it.
And, you know, I think a lot of times he, he went first Peter.
He did it with gentleness and respect, too.
And, you know, so he was a man living out the word.
He was a man living out what we, you know, actively believe in, actively practice and all the things.
So he, as I sit here and read size socks, it says, let's talk about Jesus.
Let us talk about.
Let us pray.
Let us pray.
Let us pray.
I am so glad in that moment I looked down and just read his sock.
Oh, man, I ain't seen them yet.
No, because, you know, most people don't really understand, you know.
Yeah, I always say, I don't know what you do without him.
Yeah.
Okay.
You can have belief, you know, and all that, but me personally,
because, you know, the stuff that you have to put up with
on this earth.
Yeah.
It's not really nice.
No.
Okay.
Just like this we're talking about.
Yeah.
A life was taken.
It was.
Okay.
And hey, it was unfair to the person that was in that body, okay, just because he stood up for what he believed in.
Yeah.
Okay.
And me personally, if I'm going to go out, that's the way I want to be.
I want to say, well, at least he was standing up.
up for what he believed.
Hold in your face.
Yeah.
Be bold.
That's the perfect example, too, of, for me personally, and he knows this, I will spiral.
Whenever something like this happens, I go to worst-case scenario.
I start spiraling.
I start getting anxious about tomorrow, you know, all the things.
and some of you may know I recently rekindled my relationship with Jesus about a year and a half ago
and before that I was spiraling at every single thing that happened and I noticed the difference in
this while I was upset and while I did feel anxious especially after seeing the video because
it's just horrific to see but I did notice a difference in that
me following Jesus, I felt this peace that surpasses all understanding in this situation,
which was wonderful. I felt this, you know, don't fear because he has overcome the world
kind of peace, which, you know, normally I would have spiraled. I would have, you know,
I'm the generation we experienced 9-11. We, you know, I was watching people jump out of a building
on TV when I was in fifth grade.
And it's only progressively gotten worse,
the things that I have seen with my eyes on TV,
social media, all the things.
I mean, just 24 hours before seeing Charlie,
I witnessed the Ukrainian woman getting stabbed on the train.
Oh, though. Yeah.
And no one did anything that she just,
fetal positioned into the floor and it's just like you know
when you see things like that with your eyeballs
the only thing that can get you through
something like that is having a relationship with Jesus and knowing his word
and knowing that he has overcome the world
well here's starting about that against me okay because
you know we're not promised the next second
right okay something
Something like that can happen to you.
Oh, yeah.
Okay, and that's the scary part like you're talking about.
Well, if you don't have no one to turn to, I have.
Yeah.
Like you said.
Yeah.
I can look at that differently than you do.
Yes.
Okay.
That's why I lost my brother here a while back.
Okay.
But here's the thing.
He lived his life.
First 28 years was bad.
Okay.
But then when he come in and knew Jesus, okay, the creator,
and I always, it's an oxymor deal,
here's a man that spent 95, 98% of his time in God's creation
and didn't know the creator.
When he run up on him, the next 50 years, okay,
that's all you ever heard from him.
It changes your life.
It was about the creator.
Yeah.
Well, that's what we're talking about life and death here.
A soul was taken from this earth.
wrongly
okay
and if you don't
you know if you don't know
you don't know Jesus okay
me and Brittany just told you
okay we have a different
outlook on life than you do
yes
okay because I do know the creative
I know the one that created everything
you see including us
okay it makes a difference
it does and you have
Martin said it you know
we've gone
to the point the human race
has is their respect for life
is horrible.
There are people out there praising
that this happened.
Yeah. Well, no, no, because it was like
the guy that was a murder, he
murdered somebody, and the women
was saying he was hot and all this,
they wanted to date him and everything.
That happened.
That's what, no, that's what the human
race has gone to.
Unrevable.
Yeah.
It's, uh,
but I,
it's the thing about,
hey,
a life was taken,
which can't be replaced.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
And like we,
we're talking about it,
we know where Charlie Kirk is.
Amen.
Absolutely.
Okay.
I know where my brother is.
Amen.
Again,
me personally,
I don't know what you do without Jesus.
Okay.
I could not live without you.
I know exactly what you do without Jesus and you spiral.
Well,
you spiral and you become a her.
it almost like you know because you become fearful of every single thing that you do in the day yeah
and that's why like even for us right like when you see this kind of stuff because we're in the
public eye a lot uh we do appearances we do there's nothing short of jesus keeping it from happening
us well i was just excited we travel a lot that's what i'm saying and when you travel a lot you have
that option that hey you could die yeah that's
what I'm saying. I mean, the, yeah. Every time he leaves, I pray, I'm like, Lord, I mean,
if it is your will, keep him around. You know, you step up in front of a crowd and you, you know,
you just never, you never know, right? Like, you never know what that one person may have been,
you know, I mean, and so again, with us, like, we've got, and the fall is a busy time for us.
We're going to be doing a lot of appearances. We always do. And the good news is we go there with the
intent to share Jesus and to share a message of positivity.
And, you know, a lot of times the evil one will do what he can to shut that up and keep it down.
But it's not going to keep me from doing events.
It's not going to keep me from sharing the news about Jesus and what he's done in my life and what he can do in yours.
But at the same time, would you be, I mean, I feel like I'd be disingenuous if I said it now more than ever is
not in the back of your mind every time you step up on that stage,
like of what could happen, right?
Like, now the good news is most of the time for us,
we're surrounded by a bunch of like-minded people.
So, you know, you feel a little safer in that regard.
But the ultimate safety net is Jesus.
Like, we're not, I'm not in a race to get to 77.
I'm in a race to spend eternity somewhere.
So whatever.
That's the actual goal.
Yeah, whatever that looks like.
I'd love to make it to 77.
I want to see Brittany continue to grow in her walk.
I want to see my boys grow up and all the things.
But if he calls me home, he calls me home.
And, you know, while I know it'll leave a void here.
But it's a positive for you.
Yeah, it'll fill up a, it'll fill another void somewhere else.
That's why I was saying.
Our attitude is way different than yours if you don't have it.
Celebrating anybody's death and murder.
Absolutely.
I don't care.
I don't care who it would have been.
I told Brittany last night, I said, you know what?
I never wanted to see the body cam footage of Osama bin Laden getting killed.
You know why?
Because he was still a human.
His human being.
Was he, by all accounts, evil?
Absolutely.
He was still a human.
I don't want to watch that.
Like, I don't want to see that.
He is still a human.
And you know what?
if Jesus died for me, he died for him too.
And so his life is valuable.
It was valuable enough for a man to go to the cross for it.
And so the fact that people can glorify that,
I will never understand it.
And I'm going to blame social media.
That's why I said you need to be slow to answer.
Yeah.
Thank before you speak because, Emily, you can't take it back.
You can't take the word back.
I'm 22 minutes in and ain't said a word.
I know.
I was about to say, John David, what are your thoughts?
Well, I read John David's Instagram story this morning, so I know he's in a...
I'm wrestling with this bull crap.
Yeah.
Because I'm pissed and I'm mad and...
Yeah.
Sad, all the things.
Yeah, it's a weird, weird time to be alive whenever...
It's a weird time to be raising young children, too.
You hear something that happened and you search it, and you see a guy.
guy gets shot in the neck and the next video is walking his daughter across a parking lot
whole man and i told myself i went go crap yeah and so like yeah that's weighing on me this morning
and weighing on me yesterday and it's just like i didn't mean to see that i was just like what that guy
got shot he seemed yeah just full disclosure if you're talking about politics on my feed and i disagree
with you delete if i agree with you you got three seconds and then i'm probably moving on it's just not my
thing. But, you know, I've watched his stuff. I knew exactly who he was. I knew what he stood
for. I knew how he went to college campuses and did all that. But the fact that we've gotten to a
point, you would think social media and seeing that would make us humanize others, would make
us realize like, this isn't some mythical creature. This is just a dude that's 31 years old,
that at 18 said, I got an idea and it worked. It worked well. And this is who he was. And this is who
he was and he was just living his life doing
what he thought was right. There's
people that thought it was wrong, sure.
But the fact that we've now
just, it's their enemy,
they're an enemy, we're an enemy, it's
they, y'all, this. And
we've got people that are like, oh, heck yeah,
that guy's gone. What?
Like, what do we?
When did the general public get to become
the judge jury?
Because we're seeing it with our
eyes on social media. That's what
I'm saying. I feel like social
media has made us absolutely numb to everything. We have, we have seen so much play out that I don't
think our eyes were really ever meant to see or our hearts to carry. And when you carry all
that for a long time, I'm going to go a step further and say the problem with social media is
it removed the consequences. And in the fact that there is no accountability. There is zero
accountability. Zero. Because the stuff you'll type from the security of your couch is not something
that you would say in front of somebody for fear of getting your teeth knocked down your throat, right?
And so, and again, I'm going to go ahead and say, I don't care. Violence is a form of solving a
disagreement never works. And you're talking to a guy that in high school playing football
had a lot of different things go on,
even with the best of friends,
that we would fight,
fish fight each other.
You know what that saw?
Nothing.
You know what happened when we were both laying on the ground
out of breath bloody?
We stopped and talk to each other.
And you know what actually solved the issue?
The moment after.
Communication.
Not the,
not the fistic of doing,
not boys being boys and males being males
and letting a bunch of testosterone out.
It's when we were both out of breath laughing about what we just did.
And then we actually communicated about the issue.
Then it got solved.
Well, that's right.
Yeah.
And so.
Guy, I had fought,
we would become best friends.
That's what I'm saying.
And there's so many times.
Like you said, we communicated that word and said, well, that was stupid, wasn't it?
Yeah.
Speaking of, did you all see the force, Frank, speaking of communication, the Forrest Frank situation?
Uh-oh.
And what's his name, Corey Asbury?
He kind of picked, made fun of Forrest Frank in his situation.
He had broken his back.
A miracle happened.
It was a great situation.
And it was becoming a trend to kind of like pretend that you broke your back and, you know, all the things.
Well, he kind of, Forrest reached out and made a video and was like, that hurt.
That was hurtful.
because that was a really dark time in my life.
That was something that was traumatic
that happened in my life
and you're turning it into something fun.
And Corey responded and was like,
I am so sorry.
Here's my story of,
that's how I deal with traumatic things
is by humor,
which I can attest to that
because I make jokes in probably bad situations
just because I get uncomfortable with traumatic things.
But they had this dialogue
they didn't know each other.
They had this dialogue that could have gone one way or the other,
and now they're like BFFs and want to hang out
and spend time with each other's families after that.
So it's just all about a respectful communication.
Yeah, which is, again, Dia has ruined that,
as you don't talk to.
Well, no, there's no accountability.
There's no account.
But you don't even sit there and talk, right?
Like you're in your own world,
yourself absorbed.
And this is what's right.
This is what's wrong.
And I got no time to hear nobody else.
I will say this.
The political arena and the United States of America needs to hear what we're talking about
and what we said here and put it into action.
has freaking talk to people
because y'all y'all are using words
okay
about the president and about each other
that hey
that's pure evil yeah
their actions aren't helping them
to communicate anything
what you're saying is even making it worse
yeah
okay well nowadays everybody got to go to some weird
extreme of like
somehow here in this country
we have adolf hitler
possibly the worst
human being to ever live as both a Democrat and a Republican. That's what we're just down to calling
each other. I'm like, hold on. Hey, nobody in America got no gas chambers going. Why are we going to this
extreme of, oh, you must be Hitler? And I'm like, that really wasn't that. My papal, the guy I grew up
across the street from was in the back of a plane with a gun shooting at people over what that guy did.
That's not where we're at. That's not what's happening in America. So like, why do we have?
Go to these extremes.
Yeah, you're using, you're using something and misusing it.
Cannot be compared.
Yeah.
That's my biggest thing with people, with the whole Nazi and Hitler thing.
And I'm like, have you even like looked into the history of Hitler and the things that he has done?
None of that is happening here right now.
So it's not comparable.
Well, I've got a personal one on that.
Bill Robertson went overseas and he visited the beaches of the beaches.
Normandy and all that.
Okay.
My brother, we spent a lifetime together.
He never once mentioned,
thank you for your service.
He went and I actually went inside
the gas chamber and saw the nail
crashes on the concrete.
When he comes back, he said, I owe you apology, sir.
That may be the first documented Robertson apology.
Well, no, no, because I, yeah, when he,
He addressed me.
Well, possibly the last, too.
Yeah.
When he addressed me as sir, I really got, you know, I looked.
I said, whoa, whoa, dude.
What's wrong?
What is that one?
He said, hey, I have, you know, I should have told you, hey, appreciate you wearing our
nice uniform.
Yeah.
I've been on the beaches of Normandy, and that's, that's not the beach.
Okay.
That's not, you, you ain't carrying a turtle box and a Yetty across that.
Oh, it's a football field.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it's, then boys ran up it.
to stop evil from happening.
I'm sitting here.
My mind has been all over the place since yesterday,
and it's like,
the Christian response is love everybody.
The John David response is,
I got guns too.
And then the dad in me response is
I also have about 60 acres
at an under the slow location.
Maybe I can build a wall big enough.
And me and my five can go out there
and never talk to another human.
Wait, can the Martin's come with.
You're invited.
I know where it is.
I know where this un disclosed location.
I've been there.
I'm with you.
And so your mind's like, what's the right answer?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, that's why, okay, that's, I, it comes back to Jesus.
Yep.
Okay.
And that is the right answer.
Me, personally.
When I first gave my life to Jesus, I was, I didn't know what I was doing.
Okay.
Because I thought once I do that, well, he's going to put me in a protective bubble.
Yeah.
I'm doing.
I'm good because I'm not going to happen. Nothing bad is ever going to happen. Well, that's the wrong
race. That whole Jesus line about in this world, you will have troubles isn't my favorite one.
You will. I will tell you this. It is true.
It is true. Well, no. You think you're not going to have trials and tribulations.
Look, Jesus came and suffered. Well, to be a true Christian, you're going to suffer. Yeah.
Yeah. If you do it right, you're going to suffer. Well, if you walk,
If you walk the walk, yes, absolutely.
Because people are going to do you just like him.
They're going to mock you.
They're going to make fun of them.
They're going to spit on you.
They're going to do all the things.
And in extreme cases, they're going to do what happened yesterday.
And then to do what he said.
Okay.
Love your enemies.
And it's wild to think.
Sometimes you just want to go, oh, that's a tough one.
Wow.
Okay.
Jesus said, you want to do them.
You really want to hurt.
them love them they love them yeah they just won't know what to do dump them colds on their
head that's right you're just hey you've just reached in and got had your your grill going it was
why hot yeah and what you've done is you scooped up a whole shovel full and put it on his head yeah
by putting your arms around and said hey look i forgive you yeah so that's what jesus did to us
I prayed yesterday for not only the shooter, but I also prayed for every single person that is praising the fact that this happened.
Because that means you really need help.
You have so much hate in your heart, and that's sad.
While it makes me mad, it also makes me very sad.
Well, no, I've always said God does a couple of things.
a lot.
God cries a lot, okay, and he laughs a lot.
Because he cries that we're so stupid.
Okay, and hey, that's what I tell him when I come to him when I've done something wrong.
I'm sorry for being done.
I say, hey, hey, look, yeah, it's me again.
And guess what I've done.
Uncle Sy.
I don't mess up again.
Hey, I've done it again knowing better.
Knowing better.
Yeah, knowing better.
And I did it again.
Oh, yes.
It's me.
It's stupid again.
It's me with my road rage because I got bad road rage.
Every single day, I'm like, hey, I'm sorry.
It's me again.
I'm trying.
I do it on a daily basis.
I'm trying.
I'm so sorry.
You always wonder why we ride separate.
I would.
Hey, I'm not getting Brittany's car.
Here's a good part.
Hey, here's a good part of that.
Okay.
I know that he says, hey, look, get up off.
You butt.
Dust off, dust the dirt off.
Try again.
They come home.
Yeah.
Get back in the game.
Get back in the game.
You got back in the game.
You got this.
I got you.
Hey,
I've got your back.
Daddy doesn't listen to Forrest Frank over here.
No, no,
but I'm serious.
Oh, hey.
You know, that's why I always,
I was.
All right, Tennis.
I always.
I always respect you, Phil,
for him doing that movie, the blind.
Yeah.
Because it put all his sin out there.
No, no.
Just think about it.
are used to say what you want to do what yeah do what you you want to show every frot and filthin thing
that i've ever done because i don't want people knowing what i'm done and i said no i'm not doing
that number one i'm ashamed to myself that i even did it yeah and then you want to film it and then
show it to the world yeah well hey it's saying anyway yeah you can't hide it from him yeah
The one that matters.
Okay, the one, hey, the one you, hey, you might have.
He's seen it all and he still loves me.
Hey, they made me a big TV star.
Well, guess what?
Hey, I've always been on the camera.
His camera.
Amen.
Okay.
He's watching.
You may fool your neighbor.
She ain't going to fool.
You ain't going to fool him.
Almighty.
Sadly,
all knowing, all seeing.
Here's what I'll say.
Sadly, those people that think they're fooling their neighbor ain't fooling nobody.
Well, they ain't from neither.
The neighbor knows.
Their neighbor knows.
Everybody knows.
Yeah, don't.
That's why when they asked me.
Quit being a bad actor.
Quit all that.
They asked me, what words of wisdom are you going to leave us with on South before you go?
And I said, hey, don't go yet.
Don't leave them.
Hey, please don't.
I always tell them, okay.
Hey, look, here they are.
Thank God that he loves you the way he does.
He loves you enough to just wipe it all away.
and that is what makes a struggle like yesterday's struggle too right because you know we can be upset
we can be anything but even the guy that pulled the trigger Jesus died for him yeah and that
that makes this oh i mean those are the things that like shake you to your court right
like he wrote a song about that he really did and he said hey yours is just coming
It just makes it tough when you know that even in all of that,
Jesus died for that man.
Well, no, no.
Or man, woman, I guess we don't know.
We don't know you.
Nobody.
I'm anxious to find out.
There's nothing you can do, literally on this planet, nothing that could make him not love you.
He loved the people that nailed him to the crop.
There's nothing that will separate you from God.
Absolutely.
That one old boy realized it.
He said, oh, what have we done?
Here's what makes me mad and that I have a horrible time to do.
We can reach such heights.
You see guys that, hey, they, you know, our first responders.
The guys, we're talking about September 11, you know, left.
Yeah.
Hey, them guys ran into a falling building.
Those were the good guys.
Their love for their fellow man was more powerful than their fear of death.
Yes.
And it was more powerful than them psychopaths that ran into that building.
Y'all, and like you said, y'all, we pray for them.
We pray for them.
Yeah.
We love it.
That's the deal about, hey, you know, love your neighbor.
And like, you know, when I read that, I said, more?
What?
Are you sure?
I've got to love him.
That guy.
Yeah.
Because loving them to heap burning coal.
He said, well, hey, yeah.
I've done it for him, too.
Well, it's like that, you know, the whole deal of what you were quoting there, the loving them to heat burning coals is sometimes it feels like a lot easier.
Can I just go dump the hot coals on?
I mean, it would be a lot easier to just grab a shovel and some hot coals rather than to love them through.
I don't even need a hot cold.
You'll give me the shovel.
Just give me the shovel.
Yeah, we'll go straight home alone, right?
We'll go old man in the big boots and just hit them right across a face with it.
Here's one that you need to look at.
Old man in the book.
All the great people that I admire and always respect.
and looked up to.
Guess what?
There was a servant.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Servant leadership is the way to lead, man.
See, that's the backwards of, you know, who you think.
Oh, no, I'm a great leader.
No, you're not.
I ain't never seen you serve anybody.
Yeah, if you're not willing to serve, you're not a leader.
Yeah, you ain't a leader.
Okay.
Because all the leaders I know of, they're the last one that's walked out of the building at night.
Yes.
First one's there.
Yeah.
No, no matter what.
What happens to them?
You know, I knew a woman at Kentucky that was, you know, my wife grew up with her, you know, most positive person I've ever been around in my life.
I say something because that's you to me.
Well, no, no, hey, no matter what happened.
If you're that person in size book.
She had some disease and was told by the doctor, well, you'll be in a wheelchair.
She said, well, hey, I'm tired of walking around anyway.
And my feet are.
Well, yeah.
Talk about glass.
It's the old deal about, hey, look, all you got to do is clear your head and look, there's always a silver lining and a black cloud.
What's crazy is we recorded an episode that was supposed to air when this one did.
We talked about 9-11 and we talked about September 12th when everybody was arm and arm again.
And Martin, no, no, that was the greatest part of that.
You literally said, what's it going to take to get us back then?
Yeah.
And I don't like what happened yesterday.
Why has it always this?
Yeah, why does it come to this?
Surely, if you disagree with everything we stand for and say, maybe you do.
I don't know why you're listening, but thanks for tuning in.
Like and subscribe, I guess.
I don't know.
Well, but now is the time more than ever for us to say, look, look, we're going backwards.
Yeah.
That's why my favorite.
We can agree that we're going backwards.
That's why my favorite two verses in the.
Bible is John 3, 16, 17, and especially seven days.
Now, this is the creator we're talking about Jesus Christ, who is qualified to judge us all.
Okay, because he was perfect.
But hey, what did he say?
I didn't come to judge you or condemn you.
Or to condemn you.
Guess what?
I come to save you.
Well, right, you need to, a human being needs to get out of the position.
because you are not qualified,
don't ever step in and say
you're qualified to judge another human being.
Never.
You're not, and you never will be.
Ever.
And we need to learn that he's God and we're not.
Amen.
Yeah, man.
We're not red, we're not blue.
We're freaking human.
Yeah.
We're an American.
We're not red.
We're not blue.
We're not whatever color of the rainbow you choose to identify with.
don't even care.
You're still a human.
Human being.
And you're still worth, you're still worth the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
So you know what?
In my book, you're all right.
You know, like, I can sit down and listen to you.
I only ask for the same.
I may not disagree with you.
I only ask for the same respect if you listen to me.
I can listen to you.
Well, you listen to me.
And I can guarantee you that I'll, I mean, I may make a joke, but there ain't
going to be no name calling.
There ain't going to be, you know, we can, we can,
can sit down and have a good wholesome time and I hope that this gets people to a point where
they will just listen. Yeah. Instead of shut off, instead of make the post about whatever, right? Just
listen, man. Listen and then what happened to agreeing to disagree? You can agree to disagree.
I disagree with a lot of folks. Oh, no, no. I love them. Me and my wife was saying.
That's the point.
Oh, shots fired.
Okay.
Try God's way.
Yeah.
God loves us enough to put up with everything we can come up with.
And, hey, he cleans it up and puts up with it.
Yeah.
Good grief.
All he asked you, here's what he asked you to do.
You can try.
Right?
Yeah.
That's all God asks is, hey, try my way.
Yeah.
Give it a world.
See how you're like.
Hey, and hey, that's why I said, hey, Jesus has given us everything we need.
He is the answer and he is more than enough.
And he's more than able to put it off.
All you've got to do is your part and your part is this.
You can give it a whirl, right?
You can try.
And hey, that's where our nation is at and we need to stop all of this.
pickering and, you know, little fight and squabbles we got that has turned into we're killing
each other.
Get back around a dinner table.
Right.
To laugh.
Greas, come put your feet under the table.
It's September.
Go to a dove field for crying out loud.
Make fun of each other's poor shooting.
Go to, like, I mean, go do something.
Go concentrate on the most important people in the world.
Actually, after I kind of made a post about.
dads this morning and Charlie being a dad.
But then I clicked over on this dude.
He likes to sling kettlebells around, so I like him.
He said, no matter what your platform is in this world,
your greatest influence is still at your house.
Right at home.
Right with your kids.
We've said it on here before, and it's worth repeating.
Somebody is going to minister to your children.
Yeah.
I hope it's you.
If you want to fix the world.
You know what I'm saying?
I hope it's you.
It's going to be me.
We'll wrap it up here pretty quick.
I think, you know, with everything I've read and seemed to know about Mr. Kirk,
if you want to honor his life, be bold.
Live like he lived.
Be bold.
Be respectful.
You can be bold.
You can be bold and you can be respectful.
Those two things are not mutually exclusive of each other.
Be bold.
hold, be respectful,
share Jesus.
Right?
Like, that is,
if you want to,
with everything that I know
and everything that I've read about him,
those seem to be the pillars that he stood on.
Well,
I think Charlie would tell you,
hey, walk to walk and talk to talk.
And to those of you listen to this that are angry,
it's okay to be angry.
I was about to go down that road.
It's okay.
That is a natural reaction to,
to whatever form of grief you're feeling here.
It's okay to be angry.
It's okay to be sad.
I'm not going to go so far to say it's okay to be happy.
I don't think that is a natural grief response.
I think maybe that could be some sort of trauma response that you're experienced
from something that happened otherwise in your life.
But I don't think that that is the right reaction to any of this.
But don't live in.
that anger, don't live in that sadness, because let me tell you something. While I know
it seemed to be that he was a great husband and a great father, I didn't know him personally,
but I'm just saying what it seems to be. He has a smile on his face while he is sitting
with the creator. And he knows he made it. And I can guarantee you, while part of him
wishes that he were still here to watch his kids grow.
I'm sure he is made whole again with Jesus Christ.
And he wouldn't come back.
He would not because what he is experiencing,
you know what he doesn't have to worry about anymore?
That.
You know what?
Solved?
That.
And now he,
will be watching over his children, fostering him, caring for them.
I mean, I do believe in that book.
We talk about Guardian Angels.
I don't know how they work, but I believe that they're there.
They're there.
I believe that they're real.
And, you know, and I'm sure he's chatting it up with Phil and, you know, and all the
things and saying, boy, can you believe it?
Like, we made it.
This is real.
And we made it.
And it was worth it.
Well, here's what the truth of this to me, okay.
You heard a lot from us.
We're frustrated with just like, I would say,
most of the human race is frustrated with the way we are operating today.
Okay, because nobody should want bad stuff for anyone.
Right.
Like, I want the best for you, and I know this.
God, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit,
they only want the best for all of us.
that is the truth
Speaking of being angry
I think probably if you've listened to this whole thing by now
You can tell like some of us are processing it well
Some of us are real pissed off
And I'll be in that category
My dad leads an anger group
And when I got to work day he was kind of antsy
And he was pacing around
And I could figure out how he was doing
He stole one of my jobs
And he put this on our sign outside
And that's how we're going to end it right now
Do not become overcome with evil
Which is what we saw
yesterday.
But overcome evil with good.
If you're in,
Romans 12.
If your enemy says he's hungry, feed him.
And doing so.
Hey.
Well,
heat burning cold on his head.
So I didn't even know Big Dave did that.
But I do know,
I do know Roman 12.
Well, because it,
again, I,
sometimes I just want to dump the coals.
I don't want to, I don't want to feed them.
I don't want to love them to the point of doing that.
sometimes I just want to go get to hot coals and say, watch this, because I'm human and I'm flawed.
And that's okay, because Jesus is enough.
And that's what I'll leave you with.
He is enough.
That's the answer to everything, folks.
Amen.
All right.
We love y'all.
Thank y'all for a quick turn hanging in with us.
You know, I know there's going to be some of y'all that are still mad and you have every right to be.
But, again, my only encouragement is don't live there.
Don't let it get in there, process it, and get it out of there.
Don't let this bog you down to steal your joy.
Because in doing so, the enemy truly wins.
You always go with the fruits of the spirit.
Okay.
All of that is good.
You can process all this stuff just bad,
but that's what you throw away,
and then you replace it with joy, peace.
love self-confident yeah patience all the things all the good things of the holy spirit yeah okay
keep that and hey you'll be in good shape yeah we love y'all thank y'all and we'll see you next time
right here in the duck call room we're out
