Starting point is 00:00:00 For 50 years, Canadians have wondered what the names of IKEA furniture mean. Like Natopa, the guardrail for children's beds. Natopa means giving your favorite person room to grow. It means their safety and your piece of... No. In Swedish, Natapa means night monkey. Mark! IKEA, 50 years of Swedishness at home.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Look, he's wearing little pajamas. So cute. Where some see heroes and others see egos. Bloomberg sees the era of billionaire athletes. A fad to some, the future of money to others. We see crypto's trillion-dollar swings. The end of jobs or the end of human struggle. We see the endless funds fueling the AI hype.
Starting point is 00:00:52 While others follow the noise, we follow the money. Learn more at Bloomberg.com. Well, I got to ask you this. Did you see there's a cat that was working for one of these AI companies? I don't know. Hunter probably knows all the specific. Anthropic. So I don't know what Anthropic does.
Starting point is 00:01:22 It sounds like they wanted to use to sell clothes in the mall in the 90s. I think they worked closely with the military. You just combined anthropology, fancy women's clothes store with Hot Topic, which is where Hunter would shop. if it was still open. And I got Anthropic. Anthropic. Okay. There you go.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Is Hot Topics still open, Hunter? You would know. Okay, it is still open. I didn't know. I went the other day. But my wife was telling me about AI. But a guy quit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Because he said I can't be a basically what I gathered. He was like, I can't be a part of this because now I see that there's a 10% chance in 10 years, AI will kill us all. Whatever. Well, right. And then he had a coworker get on there and because everybody thought it was a wild claim, but then a co-worker got on there and confirmed, like, I mean, he's not wrong. I still work here, and he's not wrong.
Starting point is 00:02:14 What's that movie? Well, no, no, because, hey, AI, okay, a guy turns on. Terminator. Okay, and then it went and took over another company. I robot. I robot. I don't. Did y'all watch the Robot Olympics in China?
Starting point is 00:02:30 Nope. You want to talk about a magical time. But how can AI kill us? With the robots in China? The robots? Have you not seen them running into walls and stuff? I mean, they can't walk upstairs, so I like the chances. They broke all the running records.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Well, I understand that. A machine should, right? Like, a corvette should beat a human, you know. Like, I mean, I get that. Well, they don't have wheels. They look like humans. Yeah. It's straight.
Starting point is 00:02:58 It's straight eye robot stuff. But then who runs the robots if all the humans are gone? The robots run themselves. The robots run themselves. They take over. And then they, but did they, it's kind of like Jurassic Park. I had made the prediction that when God gets sick of us. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:15 He's going to talk, that's how he's going to destroy the world. With robots? He's going to turn the robots loose. Dinosaurs would have been over there. And they're going to kill us all. Hey. Might not be wrong. You ever seen Wally, Sa?
Starting point is 00:03:28 Well, no, no, because everything now is run by, okay, AI. iPhone. Not to Honeyhole Tackle Shop, we just press buttons. No, AI, when AI finally realizes, blame it, I'm in charge. Yeah. Well, that's what, that's what it's open. But can't you just unplug it?
Starting point is 00:03:51 Nope, they plug themselves back in. Well, no, they'll re-plug itself. If they ain't got no power, they can't plug, they can't move. Stand down, stand down, my man. Have you not seen the Chinese Robot Olympics? Stand down. They go charge. themselves like they go back home and
Starting point is 00:04:06 oh they will and sit on the speaking of speaking of robots i just don't get it we got to have a talk about our our boss willie robertson he's got a robot lawnmower oh i've seen them like a room before your yard i looked over and there was a roomba in his yard
Starting point is 00:04:23 yeah they had one up there at that expo they're running around yeah like a room before your yard it's a room before you yard yeah look at these things here's the highlights from the Chinese humanoid robot Olympics. Here we go. Look that thing. What's that?
Starting point is 00:04:40 What's that? That one's doing karate. Whoa, who like to bear down. He called us here. They've been watching Michael Jackson. There they go. Booms. Look, that thing going to kick you in the face.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Well, why are you going to kick somebody? You can't hurt them. I would like to see Stone face off. Here's what I can tell you right now. The humans whoop them in that table tennis. I've watched them boys. They ain't no chair. robot.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Watch this guy. He's faster than the Usain Bolt. I want to see his break tabs. The one did run into the wall and blew up. He is going on there. They've actually perfected the art of running. Anyway, that's what's going to kill us up. Oh, that one hit the wall.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Yeah, then they run into wall. Look at it. He's running out of gas. I mean, all you got to do is get, behind a tree, right? They don't seem to have the greatest agility. Like, just, it looks like you can just sidestep it.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Do you think the robot- Watching stuff like this? Yeah. What comes of mind is, are you ever going to get enough? Are you just going to keep going? I'm kind of with Johnny Dee on the, we never thought if we could.
Starting point is 00:05:58 That would be Sir Ian Malcolm, Dr. Ian Malcolm. Yeah. We never thought. if we should, we only thought if we could. Yeah. Yeah, but there's a point that, yes, yo.
Starting point is 00:06:14 We're doing, we can. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. All right. We've got proof of concept. Why keep going further? Why? How many clone humans are walking around?
Starting point is 00:06:24 That's what worries me, though, because, hey, we've got buttons. If somebody pushes one of them, the world be destroyed. Because everybody's got some of it. And hey, and if one fires it, the other ones are going to fire it. You know, you can get too smart.
Starting point is 00:06:48 That's you screw yourself. Okay, and that's where we're at. We should put that on a T-shirt. No, I'm serious. The duck call room. You can get too smart and end up screwing yourself. Well, that's where we're, That's where we're headed.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Oh, yeah. Yeah, it's wild. I don't think so. Because I look at, I look at when anybody mentions gender. I like this. You're talking about it. I don't even know what it is,
Starting point is 00:07:15 but I like it. But you talk about screwed up. Do you think in the Robot Olympics that had a girl and boy robot division? Oh, you think they let girl robots compete against boy robots? I don't know. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah. Because they're just robot then, right? Oh, yeah. They're going to have an argument about that. And the robots argue between themselves. Oh, they're going to have a robot. Well, they will because humans made it. That's actually what's going to save us all.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Yeah, we just got to give them time to snuff each other out. That the robots are going to be controlled. They'll eventually hate each other. So I can't even think of the actor's name in that movie when he said, you can't handle the truth. Jack Nicholson? Yeah. Wasn't that here?
Starting point is 00:07:57 That's where we're at. Yeah. We can't handle the truth. Or somewhere between Encino Man and I Robot. Yeah, for sure. Ain't life grand? Wee's the juice. Bordering on weekend at Bernice.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Ordering on weekend at Bernies. Oh. So what was the best, what was the best decade? You're going with 60s, not the 80s? I think I like the 80s. I was never around. I mean, I was. I don't remember it.
Starting point is 00:08:28 I'm going to go back. I'm going, yeah. I'll go back. 60s. You'd go back to this. At least back then, there was a, you know, if you had a degree,
Starting point is 00:08:42 you know, common sense was at 100%. Now, common sense is at zero around this joint. That's why I'm talking about, hey, you'll get to the point that you'll screw yourself and now we're there. And I know how good
Starting point is 00:08:58 the 60s are, but thank God we live in the 2020s where you can get your duck step on your phone. That's right. And hey, You know? I ain't got to worry about it, man. You're going to talk about living high on the hawk. I'm glad you're reminded because I got to go get a federal or state ducks there. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:13 These books mark people that don't have no common sense. Well, no, no, because, hey, y'all, like, look, I realized we had a school problem back when I was a teenager. The 60s. Yeah. It ain't for everybody. Is that what you're saying? It's not. It's not.
Starting point is 00:09:36 But, you know, the human race has got one bad flaw, okay? Then? They can't leave stuff alone. Let's go hand in hand. Yeah. Because we have people that invent something that's good. Well, hey, we've got those, and everybody has got a little bit of it, that will turn around and make that bad.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Oh yeah You're all right Yeah Yeah And when you get you to it Really just look Look at it Common sense wise

But Ticova's boots can go from tailgate or outdoor weekend to dinner without needing a whole wardrobe change. Starting point is 00:12:03 I had my arm cut on. You got a big scar? Did you lose weight? They cut off enough where it made a difference? Oh, wow. Look at that. Lord, man. Oh, and it's bruised all the way down.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Oh, it was black. Really? Oh, yeah. Is that a sketch? Stop touching it. Yovine has removed more stitches on this set. Where's curly here? Yeah, so let me call curly.
Starting point is 00:12:28 We got to get another one out, boys. Oh, bad. I can tell it. You feel better? Or did it even hurt before or not? Did they hurt? Did they repaired or did they remove stuff? They removed.
Starting point is 00:12:44 It was big as... So you had something like a cyst inside? Yeah, I can't say that word. If I heard it, I'd know what it was. I think his wife told me it was a lipoma. Is that right? That sounds pretty close. That's a word I've heard before.
Starting point is 00:13:01 Yeah. Yeah, but it was like two chicken breasts. It went down up under my arm. Good. Grace. Did they? Did you ask them to put it in a jar? I did.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Yes. He said, he said, well, he doesn't send it. He said, we send in that out. He said, that stink. I said, I want to keep that. Yeah. I kind of want to look at it. Yeah, but you guys put it in a bottle of alcohol.
Starting point is 00:13:26 He said, boy, he's big. An anesthesiologist coming there. He said, I'm fixing to be your best friend. He said, count backwards. He said, if he was. having, if I was having what you fixed and I have done, which is going to be a pretty big cut, this is what I'd want when he fixed me up. They done a nerve block, and I didn't even know he was doing it.
Starting point is 00:13:55 I was talking to Paul. I said, I guess they done that while I was in there in the operating room. She said, are he done it while you sitting there talking to me? I said, I never felt in my neck. Were you awake? Yeah. The whole time? No.
Starting point is 00:14:10 Oh. I remember going back there and getting on the table, I helped get on the table scoot over, and they got in it, they started putting this thing on this side, like a big old board. Mm-hmm. And I was thinking, that's the wrong side. It's my right. I'll hold on. What's y'all going to do with that one?
Starting point is 00:14:33 When daddy fell all the oil, Rick, broke his back. Well, then he done that. No, I woke up there's handing me a cup of coffee. I said, we're done? He said, oh, yeah. Paula said it. It took about an hour and a half. Really?
Starting point is 00:14:47 There you go. Oh, no, when Daddy broke his back, he was, they hadn't put him under yet. Here comes the surgeons. They're coming in with sawls and hammers and stuff, you know, and he said, what are you all? What are you carpenters' buildings? He said, we ain't the carpenter's with a dock. We're fixing to rebuild your back.
Starting point is 00:15:03 I tell you what. Humpty, dumpy, yeah. The anesthesia. The nurses, I can't say that word, but anesthesiologist. There you go. The nurses at that Louisiana surgical center. Oh, no. They are top not.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Oh, no. Medical people are. They were courteous. Oh, the one, you said in Rustin? Yeah. That one where you get off first exit and go north? Yeah. That's where the boys had their tonsils done.
Starting point is 00:15:32 Them people got it going on. They're second set of. Because you're, whatever they do. Well, that's what. told this before. I had a cyst removed. And after a certain time, they got to wake you up after surgery. Well, I wouldn't wake up.
Starting point is 00:15:49 So they did the, I should, they should have asked me a bunch of questions because they started slapping me to, to wake me up. I grabbed a guy and just, I mean, I left teeth marks on that sucker. You bit a person?
Starting point is 00:16:03 Huh? Oh, yeah. Look, and it was so funny. It was like two weeks. No, no, look, it was like two weeks after we done the surgery. I'm walking down on base. Yeah. And a guy's walking toward me, and he's looking real funny, and he keeps moving off the sidewalk.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Y'all, and when we get even, he's off sidewalk, I'm on it. And he goes, you bid me! Y'all and I went, what? I mean, in an instant, you're a big crowd gathered, you know. And I said, you've lost your mind. I don't even know you. I've never saw you before. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:38 And he said, all right. He said, I'm on a recovery, you know, surgery tape. Yeah, yeah. He said,
Starting point is 00:16:44 you wouldn't wake up so I'll slap you. I said, you should have asked me before you put me under. I said, my mama don't even slap me.
Starting point is 00:16:52 I said, was you slap me? I played, that place was pretty awesome. It was awesome. Top notch. Now, medical people are,
Starting point is 00:17:00 you know, it's insane where that sweat on technology. So you like that part. Well, no, no.
Starting point is 00:17:06 don't, no, that's the thing about, hey, we use somebody for good, but then there's always somebody going to take that and use it for bad. Bruce Coy. Which is, that's just, you know, that's the truth against the lie. Yeah. Anyway, he told me I could shoot my boat. Oh, really? He said, I don't think he can.
Starting point is 00:17:28 He said, but you can drive. Oh, he said, you couldn't do it. Yeah, I went to, yesterday, I went back for my follow-up. he said oh yeah look good there ain't no infection you can move it real good i said yeah i can move it i said can i shoot my bow he said you can try have you have you thrown your rod well you might have to turn it's rough he left him ah how impossible would that be that would be rough no no i can shoot a gun if any man could do that boy right there be able to do it i'm saying he got faith in old guy oh obstasy is ambidextrous john go
Starting point is 00:18:05 I would do. Oh, he'll learn how to do it one way, though. He's got a gun. I'm just telling you. And he's got a wife with a bow, so it don't. Yeah. They ain't going to go hungry. Hey, if nothing else, hey, he'll hold it.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Paul, pull it back. They'll kill him out of the way. Yeah. That's how they do. Hey, he'll hurry our team now. He's shooting pretty good. I don't know what we're going to do about there. There ain't even going to plant.
Starting point is 00:18:32 No, it's hot, man. Hot and dry. We're in that time. of 80s around here. Oh yeah, this is the month that usually
Starting point is 00:18:41 the always like when I was back to 60s like when it was like this September it always rained every afternoon. Yeah, it ain't rain.
Starting point is 00:18:52 It was wild. I'm thinking about getting a 120-coard ice chest and taking up there and putting by my nearest stand and fill it up with water. I'm a bad call. Use that as a bag of corn.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Yeah. Well, he ain't had no hurricanes either. We ain't going to with old Super Nino out there. El Nino? Old Super. He's super. He's super.
Starting point is 00:19:12 He's super. He's wearing a cape. What? He's wearing a cape. He's super El Nino. Well, El Nino is Spanish for. Of course, they say, now the winner is going to be an extreme winter. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:19:25 But it is hard to believe. Do not ever say those words again. I got a generator. I can't live through another extreme winter. I only live through one week of one, and I'm not okay. with it. Yeah, it was rough. It wasn't no fun.
Starting point is 00:19:40 Oh, man. That thing keeps coming back up in conversation. I don't like it. Well, every time the wind blows, you get to go pick up a new limb. Oh, well, there are some dead. Every time, man, every time it blows. You're like, I just cleaned that road off last week. Every time wind blows, there's a new ice storm limb laying in a road somewhere.
Starting point is 00:19:59 I don't know how it ain't shook all of them loose yet. Like, I don't. They killed a bunch of them pine trees. up there in Arkansas. They had that big one up around hot spring. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:11 No, no, what's with that anyway? Because that was why the trees just seemed like, you know, die out. They got destroyed by the ice.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Oh, they had softball size hail up there. Oh, that. I mean, that'll hurt them. It was breaking limbs out of the tree. That's a cantalope there.
Starting point is 00:20:32 He said, he said softball size hail. God, that's a cantalope. That's a cabbage ball. You ought to see the holes in them roofs up her, and then siding. But they said they wouldn't know, which is unusual. So how did the cows and the deer survive? Got under a tree, I guess.
Starting point is 00:20:55 You're tougher, you think. You could take one of them, not to, like, the direct dome, like off the shoulder. The album don't want one off his shoulder. Other shoulders. He just took one out of his shoulder. He don't want to take one off his shoulder. No, he's big. That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:21:13 How fast does softball size hail fall? How fast? I know it's acceleration as negative 9.8 meters per second squared, but that doesn't mean its speed is. Well, eventually it gets the terminal velocity. Yeah, what's crazy about that? It forms in the atmosphere. Yeah, you fly through them clouds up there in the airplane.
Starting point is 00:21:35 You don't even get wet. Yeah, the bigger it is means it started its way down and then got shoved back up there. Do it again. A big piece of hail goes 44 to 72 miles per hour. Ouch. A softball size one would hit a Honda. So imagine Randy Johnson hitting you with a softball.
Starting point is 00:21:53 You'd live. You wouldn't like it. It sure mess your day up. You wouldn't like. You'd be hobbling down to the first base. It would mess. You'd probably go to sleep a little while. I wouldn't go to first base.
Starting point is 00:22:06 I just lay there in the batters box. Yeah. That's a problem. That's one of those things that's just, you know. Crazy. It was crazy. The ice balls form in the atmosphere just in the air. Where's that coldness right now?
Starting point is 00:22:20 I'm ready for it. Up there. It's in El Niño. Of course, cold, cold air, it's warm air and all this stuff. That jet stream needs to swoop on down here. Yeah, dive a little. It was like we on a ridge right now.
Starting point is 00:22:34 It's hot, but. I like the heat. It's way better than the cold. Well, I'll take heat any of the day. No. No. I would take this weather all year long if it meant we never had another ice ice. I can dress enough to be warm.
Starting point is 00:22:49 I can get naked enough to be cold. Can't you? No. I still sweat when I'm naked. Yeah. Ridge has done hooked us up with so many great things. My favorite is the 5-1 travel bank, which was the best gift I ever had. I took it all over Disney World.
Starting point is 00:23:08 I find it all over my house now because my daughter uses to charge her stuff. And the best part, cord's already attached. You ain't got to have a cord and a power bag. Me and side, watch football in the airport all day. I was hooked up to the Ridge.
Starting point is 00:23:19 I was hooked up to the Ridge Power Bank to make sure we didn't miss anything. The built-in cables are awesome. Packs enough power for sure. And they have free shipping a 99-day risk-free trial and like everything from Ridge Lifetime warranty. Boom.
Starting point is 00:23:32 It's the last power bank that you will ever need. And you know what else they got now? Bracker card. You keep refusing to have a cell phone. You're getting a Ridge tracker card, okay? Boom. Okay. They also make MagSafe wallets, phone cases,
Starting point is 00:23:44 luggage, and more, so there's something for just about anybody on your list. Ready to get a head start on gifting. You can find Ridge's power bank at Best Buy Amazon or head to Ridge.com and get 10% off with our code. Duck. That's ridge.com code for 10% off. Get him something he'll actually use this year
Starting point is 00:24:02 and maybe grab something for yourself while you're there. After you purchase, they will ask where you heard about them. Please support our. show until them our show sent you. Air conditioner notwithstanding. There's no air conditioner, no heater. The only heat you got is a fire. You want it hot or you want it cold? I'm never going to be naked where there's not an air conditioner. You've just accused me of being naked
Starting point is 00:24:26 in the great outdoors. That's not how. I'm just saying if we didn't have it. If we didn't have air conditioning, wasn't a thing. I'd have been dead a long time ago. I'd have never made it. Overseas, they don't have, you know, German and all that. They don't have air conditioner. It's cool all the time. Yeah. No. They ain't got 105 with 70% humidity either.
Starting point is 00:24:47 That's why they're having mass warnings that, hey, it's going to reach 20 degrees Celsius. And I'm like, I don't know what that means. And you look it up and it's like 85. Yeah. Oh, no. Yeah, they're paying. We're putting on hoodies at 85. Go eat some more Brotwark.
Starting point is 00:25:04 That would be good. I'm hungry. I am too. Let's go eat when we live. That reminds me about the altitude when you go higher, you get as hard as breathe. Now, they, that. I don't do well at altitude. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:25:20 There ain't no way. I was just saying, y'all there, but still. The air's down here at the ocean level. What are we right now, like 70 feet above sea level? Maybe. I don't even know. Let's work at my ex-on. It'll take you.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Let's see. Ah, we're probably like 100. What do you think? I bet we're 100. You bet we're at 100? 100. I think we're at 100. Open a browser.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Okay, what's my elevation now? Yes, you may use my current location. 95 feet above sea level. Oh, that's close. I thought we were out at 100 here. Here in Warshall Parish. 95 feet above. That ain't much.
Starting point is 00:26:03 I don't see no. Like, if the ocean one day wanted to rise, it was. It wouldn't take it long to get in. Well, no, no, that's what gets me. It's so bad. There ain't even no contour lines. I was talking about Nashville. You're going to have to get way out there.
Starting point is 00:26:16 That's the river flowing through Nashville. It was like a million, 10 million gallons of water per second going on to that bridge. Memphis? And it goes to the Gulf and then she's in the Gulf of America. But yet the ocean don't rise. I like how you don't even blink at Gulf of Mexico anymore. That's insane. What do you think about Lake America?
Starting point is 00:26:40 We ain't even talked about Lake America. Hey. I had so much enough to talk about. Canada don't like it. But, hey. It's going to be hard for me to change Lake Ontario to Lake America, because I never even thought Ontario is like a thing. I mean, obviously it's part of Canada,
Starting point is 00:26:58 but I just thought it was the lake's name, you know? Yeah. You just discounted all of Canada. Bunch a lot of. No, I mean, there's not a Lake Saskatchew. Ontario is like an entire... It's a province, yeah. It's like a sixth of all of Canada.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Which is fine, but I didn't think nothing about a lake being named that is like a problem. I don't... It's like, like Michigan. That was one of those our prayers did that I was like, I don't get it. Holy cow. I don't get it. Gang. Now, you marking out with a Sharpie and writing it above it is hilarious.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Don't get me wrong. Well, he pulled it off on Google Maps. Lake America. Fun fact for the rest of the world, it's still Lake Ontario. But for the U.S., it's changed. Well, you know what that means? We're better at you at swimming. We're better at you at naming lakes.
Starting point is 00:27:49 We're better than you at dropping bombs. I need to ask. And hockey. I need to ask them boys, though, now. Because you used to have to have a Canadian fishing license. My buddies that fish that stuff. You had to have a Canadian fishing license? If you cross the border of it.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Oh, well, that makes sense. But I'm saying the border goes right through the middle, but now that it's like America, is it just all America? Well, they still own part of it. Do they? What if they name? I mean, if we can frivolously name stuff,
Starting point is 00:28:18 let's go. You see, you might change New Mexico to New America? No. I'm against that one, sir. I'm down with all the other wacky stuff you do because it cracks me up. But New Mexico is New Mexico. I love New Mexicans.
Starting point is 00:28:33 There are some of my favorite people, and they got great people. Yeah, I've been there. If anything, probably get rid of the new, maybe old America. Now, you got to separate old Mexico from New Mexico. No, I'm saying it's been said to call it New America. I call it Old America.
Starting point is 00:28:48 No, it's New Mexico. Because you can go there and get your sauce and Christmas style. Yeah. What? Why is it New Mexico? Because it's new. It used to be a part of Mexico. I took Louisiana history, not New Mexican history.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Yeah, I don't. New Mexico is still New Mexico on Google Maps. When he scratches that one out. The Gulf of America's there. Lake America's there. Lake America. I really didn't think it would say Lake America when I pulled up Google Maps.
Starting point is 00:29:18 That's funny. Because I was just pulling it up to see which lake it was. I wonder who determines who changes it on the map. Apparently the president of the United States. They must have a lot of stock in Google. Yeah, you would think like Google would be adversarial towards the press, just calls. But they may not want. another lawsuit or something, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Let's see. Let's check Apple Maps. Gulf of America. Lake America. What's other maps? The Gulf of America makes more sense. Yeah. It's touching more in Mexico than it is America.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Is it? Maybe. Or Central America. Do you know MapQuest still a thing? How about that? MapQuest, Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario. That's why nobody uses you MapQuest. Well, they're so far behind their head, right?
Starting point is 00:30:04 They're still printing off directions. Yeah. They're still turn here in 7.2 miles, and you've got to use your odometer if you can even find it anymore on your vehicle. Hard to say. You can't have that quarter no more. How about that? It's in between the numbers. That means half.
Starting point is 00:30:21 If Carter's president, I'm going to just request, I didn't know that was part of the gig. You just get to start renaming stuff. Yeah. I mean, like, yeah, I don't know. That's crazy. I would rename so much just for fun. What would you rename? Who knows?
Starting point is 00:30:40 I would just come up with better names. You just said you'd rename a bunch of them. I would just make it more simple. That way it's easier to remember. Just name it after like what it looks like. Like what? I don't know. Renamed Florida like Beachland.
Starting point is 00:30:56 Yeah, there's just beaches everywhere. You could do that if you were president, clearly. Big Lake. Big, yeah. That's just a big lake. Kind of like the Habachi, it's the big place. It's clean, man. Just make it real average and normal.
Starting point is 00:31:13 I would rename everything. Like Al Sombrero, we call it the hat. The hat. Yeah. I'd rename El Nino to the Nino. The Nino. It would be great. The Nino.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Super the Nino now. Yeah. As Nino boy. Sure. Is that right? Yeah, the boy. Elle makes it boy. Elle does?
Starting point is 00:31:40 Yeah, it would be la. And then I think it's Niña. Yeah, that's what I know more Spanish than I thought. I took it. I'm just teaching the boys colors in Spanish. That's all. Why? Huh?
Starting point is 00:31:49 He's doing that. That seems like a skill that I would have liked to have had at that age. I took Latin. Just naming colors in Spanish? I took Latin because I thought I was going to be a doctor and I want to know all the root words. But now it seems like Spanish is a way more. Spanish is important. Spanish is a way more.
Starting point is 00:32:06 useful life skill. They made us do the colors in my first grade in Spanish. Yeah. I speak a little Spanish because I'm good at getting fishing license for guys that are here on work pieces. There you go. They all come to me because the guys at Walmart can't figure it out. That's not surprising. But if you got a Honduras passport, I can get you a fishing license.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Well, that's good. I'm glad they want to be legal. That's good. Yeah. The, uh, what are they fish for? Fish? Yeah, doesn't matter. Fish.
Starting point is 00:32:36 Fish. Yeah. I was curious. Marotta. Speaking of fishing, did you see they reopened the alligator lottery? Not enough people signed up for it. I don't know, but they reopened it. I just got an email right now.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Oh. Hey, what won the guard turned? Reclarational alligator hunting. 140 pounder. Oh, they got some little ones this year. When they had, hey, Galvin. Martin came to the Gar Road in the way in. I came to the way in.
Starting point is 00:33:02 I took the boys to the way in of the car road. Never thought I'd say that in my life. That I went, yeah. Gawin, let me tell you the single most impressive thing from the gar rodeo. These boys unloading a 120-pound gar with a skid steer on a scale. And then went and dumped him back in the river and that sucker swam off. You can't kill him, thorn. There was one with a golf ball-sized hole in his head still sitting there.
Starting point is 00:33:36 gulping air. Sitting right beside the twins. I'm way more scared if the alligator gargit legs than a robot. Like, you can't kill that thing. Well, they live in fresh or salt. They don't mind it. No, they just walking out there breathing air. If they had legs, they'd be a worthy adversary.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Look, we all know it, opening a morning gets here, right? You go through all the thing. Guns, got it. Shells, got it. Biscuits, got it. Biscuits? Well, you got to have a snack. You can't never go snackless.
Starting point is 00:34:08 You don't ever go snackless hunting. But all that really honestly doesn't matter because there's one thing that you have to have to go duck hunting. Duck stamp. The duck stamp. That is right because you have to have a federal duck stamp to go duck hunting. And you can get it right now at duck stamp.com. I got mine. It's in my wallet.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I don't have to worry about it. I can pull it up anytime I need it. And I'm covered. Look, you keep the digital stamp right there on your phone and your collectible paper stamp will still arrive in the spring in the mail. And every duck stamp helps protect the. wetlands that make duck hunting possible in the first place. Hunters have been supporting this program for generations. They still do.
Starting point is 00:34:45 They always will. And look, even if you're not a hunter, you can do it because 98% of the money goes right back into conservation. That's what makes it so successful. That's what makes it cool. And it is nice having it right there on your phone where you got everything else. So before you head out this season, visit duckstamp.com and check one more thing off your list.
Starting point is 00:35:04 That's duckstamp.com. Hey, and then the gar commander himself. Remember them kids that you sell lemonade? Look at this sucker. State record holder. Well, allegedly. I'm really worried. He caught a long-nosed gar 42 pounds,
Starting point is 00:35:23 and he's currently doing the paperwork because the state record's 31 pounds. I don't know if he'll actually get the state record because there's a lot of rules and regulations and all that. He caught a 41-pound long-nosed gar. And the buy? Well, you don't realize how. big them suckers get.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Oh, as I've seen a commercial fisherman in a 16 foot boat come up to the dock. With a long nose or alligator? No, no, long nose. Really? He had three tides in his boat.
Starting point is 00:35:55 The head was hanging off the front, the tail was hanging off the back. They was 18 plus. But what's crazy, them long-nosed ones got a lot more quid at them than that alligator gar. That alligator gar ain't trying to die. that long knows all them other species of gar they brought up there dead
Starting point is 00:36:13 them alligator ones looking at you going look at this video sigh look at that sucker look at that hole in his head look at that hole in his head and my man sitting there gulp in air and we were just sitting beside them what they do crush somebody crush it it looked like they hit him with a baseball bat and look at he's just oh i know that hey they'll put me back in that water would be right now he turtle food now. I've come up on them just in mud. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:40 Like this course, drying up. They're driving. They got caught in there and couldn't swim out. Hey, couldn't swim out. Yeah. It's crazy, man. And I mean, it was just mud.
Starting point is 00:36:51 It wasn't water to it. I mean, imagine like a hook going through your mouth and you're getting weighed by it hanging from a skid steer. Yeah, but that's bone. Well, you got bone too, buddy. and then they just funded him loose and then they just took him down to the end of the boat ramp and my guy said push three of them back and all three of them swam off yeah 120 hundred 30 pounds praise well they get big because I have been the buddy my used to get up on rip breath and shoot them
Starting point is 00:37:25 in the summertime when they come up on top I hate to tell you you didn't hurt them from what I saw oh yeah they shook that off you put a hole in them and then they flew off Yeah. But what I saw, if y'all thought you killed her, you ain't. Wood duck, wood duck's tough. You can't hardly kill any. Alligators are tough. But they're reopening the lottery because did you know that there's four and a half million people in Louisiana?
Starting point is 00:37:51 Mm-hmm. And there's three million alligators. Mm-hmm. We're going to have more alligators than people soon. Oh, yeah. Just looking at deep. Yeah, they're everywhere. Well, I know, because when you, that film I watch.
Starting point is 00:38:02 I do my part every year. We fill our 30, whatever tags. have you been this year? No, it showed a canal. I haven't. It showed a canal and had your little little pads on. And it showed that thing. I mean, it went out of sight and they just everywhere.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Yeah. Oh, yeah. And there's everywhere. The problem is, I've been watching the Landry family because, you know, they got that gas station down there now where everybody comes and weighs in their alligator. See Mountain Man was there. No, but that checks out.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Yeah. Open and day. of gator season in South Louisiana. What do you say? Caboia. Caboia. A mountain man was hanging out with the Landrys. But we're going to have to,
Starting point is 00:38:47 everybody's going to have to start, because I've been before and I was like, I'm good. Yeah. Check that one off the list. But like we're going to have to start doing it to keep them out of our homes. I'm surprised there. If they taste it better, they wouldn't be no.
Starting point is 00:39:00 Attack by them. What, alligator? Yeah. We'll get to that point where. It's to be people's dog. Well, I remember me and Phil shooting wood, yo, ducks, and we thought it was a log. You know, about eight foot long over there,
Starting point is 00:39:15 we always walked around it. Then we shot some ducks down, and hey, one of them was spinning, and feels to shoot that cripple. And I got to watch him, I said, it ain't crippled. He's there as a hammer. Then you just like a cork.
Starting point is 00:39:29 And then that thing started moving off. Me and Phil, I tried to be Jesus. We tried to walk on water. Yeah, get out of there. We got out of there, too, buddy. That's one thing with teal season, man. You know you're around. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 00:39:45 Yeah. Yeah. You're saying any to you? Not by us. No, no, that happened down there. I ain't some on the lake about two weeks ago. When Jason went to this little marsh, Jason's telling Jaws, hey, let's on here.
Starting point is 00:40:01 They skeered up a bunch of steel. And he said, we don't end all over. We didn't, you know, Jay's talked to him into it, and when the shots first points down, you know, they look, here comes a ripple toward them. Oh, it's about 15-foot gator. He just come up to the boat and literally laid his head on the boat and looked at him,
Starting point is 00:40:24 and then went over and ate that one, went over and ate that one, went over and ate that one, went over and ate that one, went over an eighth of one, and then it swam off. I'd tell you, alligator hired up for something to eat. Yeah. Eat a blue way. Without any bacon.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Without any bacon or seasoning. You hungry, man. Oh, we. Oh, you know what I'm going to build a night? I'm going to get me some strips of bacon. Uh-huh. Start right. I got some deer meat.
Starting point is 00:40:52 I already thought out hamburger. Uh-huh. I'm going to lay it on that bacon. Okay. And roll it up like sushi and grill it. Just a log of hamburger meat wrapped in bacon? Mm-hmm. A log of hamburger meat wrapped in a bag.
Starting point is 00:41:07 Deer meat? I'm going to put some onions and some cream cheese. I think that would be pretty good. That sounds pretty good. You're about to make a sushi roll out of meat. Yeah. You exactly right. Protein, baby.
Starting point is 00:41:19 You know, your rice is going to be bacon. Right. Well, you got to have bacon with deer meat. Deer meat too lean to make a, just grill it. No, no, I'm more so upset that I've never done this. I mean, this sounds fantastic. I tell you, them. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Oh, my, I mean. I mean. And, they're in Arkansas where I'm dear hunting. Yeah. And boys can cook. Do you make, so you lay, do you, like, weave the bacon? No. Make it like a lattice?
Starting point is 00:41:45 No. No. No. He just smeared it on that bacon. Drip. Hey, roll it like a cigar. And cut it in half and roll this. There's two pieces on one, I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:41:57 Oh, roll it up like a sickle. And rolled it up like, so it's inside and outside. Yes. With onions and cream cheese and little. chopped up jalapinas. It's just like a duck bite. A backstrap burrito. I never would have thought.
Starting point is 00:42:15 Hold on upstairs. I never would have out it would work with ground meat. No, I mean, I've never even considered it. And I'm a little upset at myself. Just put it on a grill? Oh, Robert up there he said, you want a pen wheel? I said, yeah. I said, what is it?
Starting point is 00:42:32 He said, I have some ground dew meat wrapped in bacon. I looked at it I said Never been anything That wasn't good Wrapped in bacon He said you want A nut and I said
Starting point is 00:42:41 Yeah And you could put that On like a little Hawaiian roll If you wanted to Oh Oh I'd know I'd like a backstrap Burrito
Starting point is 00:42:51 Boy let me tell you I'll make you go poke some do Oh That's That's hilarious I immediately We didn't got two packages
Starting point is 00:43:02 Out of freezer And put them in the refrigerator to thaw. Yeah. We couldn't do that. You could butterfly that. Keto, too. And put the bacon.
Starting point is 00:43:12 No sugar. Bacon in and on the outside. Well, not till you dribble the honey on top. Oh. You're going to finish it with honey? At the last. Either that. Not honey or regular honey.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Then then you mush it with may haul jelly. No, I can't do the mayhaw. That's too much sugar, ain't it? Oh, yeah. Yeah. That'd make his ticker go off. He doesn't blown out one side of his own. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:45:15 I mean, it is close to partying too hard, but I'm in. I've partied too hard a couple times. Because I'm wondering, I mean, why can't you should just do that with breakfast sausage too? You can't, why can't? That's what I'm saying. Why not just take breakfast sausage and do the same thing? And then instead of having to choose between bacon and sausage, you got both. I do.
Starting point is 00:45:37 You're like radio. Both. Yeah. I want both. Roll up like a big cigar. You talk about the Cuba Gooding Jr. Uh-huh. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Remember when they said what you want? He said both. He's talking about the pie or the ice cream or something. I don't know. He said both. Uh-oh. Now you get both. Bacon and sauce.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Look, we're talking about deer and I'm getting a firepoint notification. There you go. He's got one on camera. Oh, I'll probably just squirrel. No. It's so hot. I don't know what would be walking right now. Most of our email inbox is what people call their cods.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Oh. That's pretty one. God. Yeah. I forgot we talked about that. Hunting with a poodle. Yeah. Poodle.
Starting point is 00:46:23 Hey. Poodle's good hunting. Oh, hey, Maddie. How are you? Wait, wait, wait, wait. Breaking the fourth wall now. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:31 And then Hunter stuff that he forgot. Addie's here. Uh-oh. Jason emailed in a picture of some guy getting checked by the. What a person. Poodle. Game warden. He was hunting with a poodle.
Starting point is 00:46:40 There you go. Sight. Killer really was a good hunting dog. Hey. Poodles are legit. Geller was a trip, boy. Yeah. But most of the people, I mean,
Starting point is 00:46:52 coming up with different names for cods. Sorry, guys. What? Didn't I ask them to sit? Yeah. You know, I've been through them all. Well, no, there's... They got a set of cods on that one.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Nothing. too fancy. Oh, killer had a set of cons. Bollah. Hey, as big as you can buy those drums there. But there was nothing too great until a man, Jack Reed from England chimed in. Bullock. He's from a place called the Finns in England.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Yeah. Mm-hmm. What's that, you may ask? I didn't know either. The Finns are a low-lying, naturally marshy region in eastern England. Okay. that covers nearly 1,500 square miles and stretch from Lincoln to Cambridge, which means nothing to me.
Starting point is 00:47:45 But I looked it up and... It's like the marsh. Yeah. Oh, wow. He's from Redneck England. Yeah. There you go. Redneck England.
Starting point is 00:47:55 I'll be... What do y'all think Jack Reed and the other folks from the Finns in England call your Cods? I can't make a good guess. Oh, I mean, there's... I think it's possible to guess maybe. Really? Those English word I've ever heard in my life. Ah, man, I don't pay enough.
Starting point is 00:48:16 I don't either, and I'm speaking. Well, they say wanker for the other one, right? Yeah, a lot of the same letters. The knackers. The knackers. I thought that was in British as you wear. Those are Knickers. Those are knickers.
Starting point is 00:48:31 Knickerbockers or something else. But knackers is apparently what they, our British counterpart. are they British or they English? It's hard to say. That's what they would call them. And I got a little bit of joy out of that. The knackers. Knackers.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Watch your knackers. That's funny. You ever been hitting the knack? So that really makes you think about where did the phrase knick-knack come from? If you get nicked in the knack, not a good day. Knick-knack, patty-wack, give the dog a bowl. You definitely don't want to get patty-wacked on your knacks.
Starting point is 00:49:05 That really makes you. Let's see, Lank-Nacketywack. Language is funny, man. Language is funny. That's an interesting deal. And then somebody emailed in that, because we've talked about crapping our pants a lot. Do you know that's hereditary?
Starting point is 00:49:21 I didn't know when you, I'm glad I wasn't here when y'all talked about that. Do you know crap in your pants is hereditary, Godwin? Hereditary? Then your jeans. Jeans. Ah, that's a Godwin, Joe. Oh, Billy.
Starting point is 00:49:35 That's a God one. Billy, you're welcome. that. Billy wanted me to hit Godwin. That's a Godwin. Y'all never saw it coming either. I said,
Starting point is 00:49:44 they got a clue. Galvagan got by one of his own. The only problem is Billy is currently on episode 183, which means we've been talking about crap in our pants and Godwin Dad jokes for a while now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:58 What episode are we on that? 80, 590. 593. 593. Are we going to do something special for episode 600, Hunter? You know, I always try to. I think we'll do something special for $5.93.
Starting point is 00:50:12 You can. I'm here. We can bring our hot dog rollers. The dog's rolling. I got to get that. Also, I have one other problem with our email section. What happened? And I'm really, somebody emailed in a great idea for a T-shirt.
Starting point is 00:50:30 He said it's a great idea. And it's a dog's rolling T-shirt, which is a good idea. but he had AI make the Hunter calm down he had AI make the t-shirt is this going to kill us what well I see y'all are worried about AI I'm eating off a hot dog by jason Allen approved we got no we got no credit who are these people and why who is who and why are we cranking them out daily what Hot dog. Who are them people?
Starting point is 00:51:07 And it's got side. Jason and Al aren't eating hot dogs. This is our thing. I got a rolling. That's one of the ugliest shirts I've seen. Hunter, as someone who wears a lot of ugly shirts, you are correct. Anyway, I just, I do think we need a new merch stand of Duck Call Room stuff. Hunter, I need you to jump on that.
Starting point is 00:51:30 I don't even know who's in charge of Duck Car Room merch. Because we had those shirts. when it first came out, which is one of the most comfortable shirts I've ever worn. And then everything just disappeared. Now they sell too good. We can't have them.
Starting point is 00:51:43 We can't keep them. Just like the finishing industry, isn't it going to go? Something sales is good. They get rid of it. I don't know who's in charge of that. I'm about to be. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:51:52 I'm about to license out the Duck Call Room, and we're going to have Duck Call approved room, approved merchandise like dogs rolling available from me. Well, let's get out of here. Hunter, ask, if I can do that.
Starting point is 00:52:06 Y'all figure that out. Let's get out of here. Okay, hold on. I want... Billy, Billy, I'm... Because Billy had the crap in your pants this hereditary joke. Yeah. I'm gonna let him close the Bible verse out. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:52:19 All right. Billy sent his favorite Bible verse. It's Acts 2, verse 38. Mm. Yeah. Then Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions
Starting point is 00:52:30 of your sins. And you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Oh, his version says Ghost. Oh. Hey, JV. Yeah, he's got some thousand thuses and there was no thousand dusts
Starting point is 00:52:46 the new KJV. The NKJV. King James. Go look up King James by the Acapella vocal band. You will not be disappointed. We'll see y'all next time here in the Duck Call Room. We're out. Bye.
