All right, were you ready?
You're in charge today, sir.
Martin's not here.
Sae.
Take the way the show.
Okay.
Guy would ask the question.
Did we get him?
Did you kill him till this weekend?
Look.
Where did you go?
I went to Honey break.
Honey break.
South Louisiana.
That was Drew.
Look, Lego is 624.
We didn't start because they said, hey, you killed the first one.
And I said, no, boys.
Hey, if one's something comes in there, I go on to shoot him.
You went with Drew?
Drew?
The kid, Drew?
No, Drew, he ain't a kid.
He's a man.
He runs a Harley Break.
Three Brains.
Oh, I was thinking.
Anyway, the kid with the giant feet.
The Tills are flying.
They're coming by finally.
You know, and we started like at 20 till.
Yeah.
Well, hey, at 7 o'clock, we're done.
Well, you all.
Shots are good.
There was six of us, so that means we killed 24.
Yeah.
Okay.
Hey, there was 28 shots fired, and we picked.
up 24.
And y'all were at Honey Break with Stone and Drew?
Yep.
Yeah.
Oh, that's good.
I'm glad to duck come down.
Oh, they were there.
But not Drew,
Drew the cameraman was there, wasn't he?
Because he posted this picture,
and that picture goes hard.
Well, I, that's the tiger right there.
That's right.
He's got something on his mind.
He's got to look about him right there.
I'm looking for birds, boy.
That's a man thinking about.
I'm looking for bugs or something else.
That's a starvation look.
You know what I mean?
He's hungry, right?
I am.
But you're talking about pretty.
That's pretty down there.
Oh, yeah.
I'm ready to.
I, guys down at the camp cooked some pinwheels.
I tell you all about them pinwheels.
Oh, you did?
The ground deer meat.
Oh.
Well, I made.
He made sushi out of.
Here's what I did.
I laid, I took me a pack of bacon, and I put a paper tile on a plate.
Okay, so you got a pound of bacon cooked.
And I strapped it.
I put it for three minutes.
So it'd be kind of ready but still pliable.
Yep.
And then I got ground deer made.
I put some cream cheese in there and some onions
and stirred it all up, some seasoning.
And I wiped it on that bacon.
And I rolled it up like sushi.
You told me that I never would have thought to do hamburger.
Wiped it on the bacon.
You kind of like...
Yeah, fit, you know.
Like peanut butter?
Right.
Yeah, okay.
And rolled it up.
Yeah.
But I forgot.
I was going to put some cheese on top of it and let it melt.
down in there.
I think I'm going to put it where you start to roll it.
Yeah.
It'll be right in the middle.
Yeah.
And maybe get some mushrooms next time put it in there.
Mushrooms make everything.
Now every time I look at it.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Now every time I look at a dough, I'll all see these pinwheels.
I'm ready for this baby to kick off.
Let this thing start, boy.
You got it started.
So you got a bunch of teal.
Yeah.
Oh, we had some dove.
We had some doves, too.
Well, hey, that's, that's tomorrow for me, me and him.
Tomorrow?
Yeah, so, yeah, so we went to West Texas, and we all killed our limits for three days,
and we got back, and so I said, give all my birds to stone, and he's going to cook them up.
And usually I get weeded out of that cook, but I know about it tomorrow.
We got to go on tomorrow, poppers, and then dominoes.
That's right.
Give me 25.
What are Domino teams?
Hey, 25.
It's a million stone against Al and Si.
And me and Stone never win.
I was about to say, I got 50 on Al and Cy.
Hey, they don't know.
They're getting better.
I don't think so.
Oh, no.
Yeah, you're getting better.
I don't think.
Y'all used to just get stomped, you know.
You're at least giving us a game now.
I was supposed to learn how to play.
But hey, you're playing.
You're playing. Okay.
Now, I'm a semi-pro.
Okay, Al is a pro.
Al is a pro.
Jason is a pro.
I'm semi-pro.
The last time I played with you and Al,
Al broke his watch getting about a 30 count.
He'd just come from back here.
Oh, no, look.
We've literally, okay, we've literally...
Hey, we've literally busted tables.
Broke fingers or thumbs.
You know, blue windows out with a dominole.
Because you hit it,
it hit wrong.
Are you saying, hold on.
Are you saying that you hit a domino so hard on a table that the shockwave busted a window?
Oh, yeah.
No, it ricocheted.
Come out of your hands.
Oh, you just threw a domino through a window.
Oh, no, no.
Yeah, you threw it, you put it down in it.
Oh, they slown.
So, look, Sunday.
We're into dominole, son.
You're not about competitive.
I'm a day.
Our preacher, on Sunday, the preacher was talking about, you know, the golden 60s and having some.
Wow?
No, no, one of the preachers.
David Bromley.
Okay.
And he was like, we're going to have Dominoes.
And won't you guys to come join?
He said, this ain't like Robertson Dominoes.
No.
This is friendly.
Everybody knows about the Robertson Dominoes.
Friendly Dominoes.
Even the preacher.
Even the preacher.
Hey, no, you got to understand.
This is a legacy.
Okay, this is from childhood.
Look, and the best game that ever was played.
Okay, look.
Can't wait for this.
Not many kids get to play at the adult table.
So hey, look, Alan and Jay's,
they got to play with adults because they was that good.
Well, hey, look, best game, Jimmy Frank and Harold.
They're graduated college and all this, you know.
They're playing like Al and Jace.
They're about 14 years old.
And that's your two older brothers.
Yeah.
Yeah, two of your other.
Hey, they need Harold and Jimmy Frank needs five points.
to win.
Al and Jason needs $150.
Hey, two hands later, guess who's winning?
The children.
They locked it.
The kids.
Locked it.
I never.
When I first seen them play one time when I started working at,
it was like they played two rounds,
and then everybody knew what everybody had.
Yeah.
They just lay it down.
Yeah, that's right.
I locked that up.
Oh, no.
That's a good part about it,
Because you're sitting there, you know, you ain't got but two plates, okay?
You know, you're sitting there and telling me, okay, let me think about this.
And then one of the other partners will say, hey, you ain't got but two plays.
Play the six a-ace and take you count or either play the five-A's.
And I can't stand it when they know what's on my hand.
And Jace is the worst.
I mean, he's like the best.
They're the worst.
Playing real.
Oh, hey.
No.
Yeah.
Hey, you get seven dominole.
you play two of them
and everybody knows what you got.
You got five left
and they know what five dominoes you got it.
Do you all think anybody cheats?
No.
Yes.
No.
Yes.
Yeah.
Let me tell you how the Robertsons will cheat.
I'm just saying your stories are 95% truthful
so maybe you probably 95% of the rules.
True or false.
Let me tell the story.
So me and Stone,
like Stone won't run with me
when I'm trying to run, you know,
Whatever, fives and blanks.
But if Cy and Al are playing and Al says, oh,
I like the way you brought that blank out, let me get five on that.
And then Cy says, oh, you like the fives?
Oh, we're going to run some fives.
They said, well, that ain't, hold on, we're not telling each other what to do.
Yes, you are.
No, you're not.
We already know when we do it.
Hey.
Table talk.
Table talk.
They call that table talk.
You get shot for that in the West.
Nobody is cheating.
I've told y'all when I started to.
In the old west, they'll shut you.
I'm a semi-pro, okay.
Al and Jason are pro.
Okay, so, hey, when you go up against a pro son,
you figure it's your butt kick.
Period.
I don't even think I would like to play.
Oh, no, it's fun.
I'm pretty sure I'm out.
You play 100 games in about 15 minutes.
Yeah.
The way they play.
I need to find an app on my phone to practice.
That way I even know the rules.
Because there's nothing else that matters that's going on.
except that game at the time because they're like, okay, let's play.
This reminds me.
No distractions.
We play cards too.
This reminds me of a card game that just the young man was in with Al, Red Dog,
Phillips.
Yeah, Red.
Red Dog knows what you got.
Yeah, he's good.
He also, too.
He's also one of the professionals.
And they was playing Spades.
Well, Jace was the number one man in Spades when he was a teenager.
No, it was whenever he would just sit in this room and build Duck calls and play Spades.
He was like, Jace Robertson was legitimately the number one ranked spades player in the world on Yahoo.com in like 2006.
Yeah.
And I don't know if that's impressive or sad.
I don't know.
Oh, he was on it.
Oh.
He's still pretty good.
But it is.
But now, tell the story about it.
So I didn't, so they were winning and I didn't want to hear the smack talk.
And so you just said, you know what?
I'm out and you went to duckstamp.com.
Got your duck stamp in the middle.
of the game and then you laugh.
No.
Did you get your duck stamp this weekend, by the way?
I got it.
You have it.
Did you go to stone, went to duckstamp.com for you?
I was just making sure, because it's, oh,
teal season's here.
So we got to have duckstamp.
com to have a duck stamp.
That's not part of the story.
They ain't got to go stolen anymore.
That's pretty good.
But I didn't want to put up with the smack talk.
So it is true.
I left my drink and my cards on the table.
I said, boys, I'll be right back.
I got to hit the bathroom.
She climbed out the window, got in my car and drove off and stayed gone
And didn't have to listen to the smack talk for two months I stayed away from him
Hey he thought he had died
We didn't think of it too much
He just laughed
What's it like to be the one guy that always forgets everything
What's up?
You forget everything every time we go duck out and I gotta carry your stuff
I gotta carry your shells you guys
You know what you don't got to carry for him no more?
What's that?
It's duck stamp
Well I do
on my phone and my wallet app.
But at least I don't have to worry
if he's got a paper stamp anymore
because our friends over at duckstamp.com
have fixed all of that.
Look, there's plenty of stuff you can forget
when you're getting ready to hunt,
but your federal stamp shouldn't be one of them.
You know why?
Because you've got to have it.
You got to have it to go duck hunting.
It's mandatory.
You got to have your own.
So that's why you need to make sure
you get your federal duck stamp at duckstamp.
com because it is that easy.
Just head to duckstamp.
com.
Get your stamp online and you've got it right there
on your phone throughout the season.
You don't have to add another stop to your list when you're getting ready to go hunt.
You can take care of this without ever leaving the house.
Look, you got enough to remember sales, decoys, guns, wallet, all those things.
You got to have them.
Don't worry about your duck stamp.
Do it right now.
Get it on your phone.
Make it that simple.
And you're good to go.
It is that easy.
So get your federal duck stamp today at duckstamp.com.
It's probably the easiest thing you'll do all season.
Visit duckstamp.
com.
Get your stamp.
Then go get your ducks.
Wait, you just, you went to the bath, hold on.
You went to the bath, they were just being so annoying.
Yes.
Playing a game, this is playing a game with you.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
He decided he'd rather just leave without saying about your best friend.
Yeah, I can't take it.
I can't take it.
But here's the thing that was so good about it.
That bathroom window was really small.
We ain't figured out that he got out.
It wasn't just a little square window
And I was out there
Did you really call out of the window?
Oh
You didn't just like fake go in the bathroom
To go out the front door?
Hey, look, he closed the door
And that's how we
How long did you all?
We waited about 45 minutes and said, hey, is he?
Hey, hey, check see if it's something wrong with you.
No, I didn't lock the door because I wanted them to be able to get in the bathroom.
They waited 45 minutes.
I don't know.
That's even more disturbing.
At 30, that was just normal.
No, no, we kept saying, Philip, you okay?
He wouldn't ever answer us.
He's busy.
He was tired.
You know, but what got us was, we looked at the window,
we looked at the one and everybody just shook their hands and said,
He didn't get out there.
I'd let him see him come out.
That matter, you want to see a magic tree?
You just nailed on him.
That's phenomenal.
Well, that was one of the greatest deals like for two months.
We didn't know as if he's dead or alive.
You didn't even, you didn't even, like, shoot a text that said,
No.
Screw you guys.
I never want to see you again.
That's probably before phone.
Oh, is this before phones?
Yeah, it's been a while.
Free, that's pre-phone.
You went and gotten that black Mustang of yours and drove off.
Took off.
That's another thing.
We didn't even hear of crank it up.
He must have pushed it up by moon lights.
Oh, that's great.
Yeah.
You got to have, and Jay's told me you've got to have real thick skin to play any games with the Robertson boys.
Oh, just be.
around them.
Oh, no,
I,
to be around them,
especially as if you hunt with them.
Yeah,
because it ain't like they got manners.
Will you stop saying them and start saying us?
You're part of this equation,
man.
He's like,
oh, yeah,
them guys are.
Well,
we are bad.
We are bad about,
hey,
if you get beaten something,
we'll throw a saddle on you
and put some birds on.
Oh,
we're hunting,
too.
I've heard some more arguments between
sides.
Oh, no,
I thought,
They're hard-headed.
Hey, I thought
manager's going to fix
to have a fist fight.
One day we are.
How long ago was that?
Oh, the pentails.
Hold on.
30 yards for me?
They was 30 yards for me.
The infamous pentails.
They got to ride me and I said,
hey, wait a minute.
What's wrong with you?
I said, if that 30 yards said,
for me and I didn't shoot them,
I said, why didn't you shoot them, idiot?
I said, you're a bald face liar.
Did y'all make up?
No.
Do the Robertsons apologize and make up detail?
No.
I didn't think so.
You know that argument's on camera somewhere, but I think it got deleted.
Oh, no.
No, it's on video.
Oh, yeah.
No, no, they did it?
It didn't they?
It got deleted, though, didn't it?
I don't know.
I don't want to watch it.
I mean, I know we probably can't.
I forget which one it was.
It was probably eight.
Eight or nine.
I want the raw footage, not the edited footage.
I want the part where I almost punched it.
Oh, it wasn't nothing.
to edit it. No, it was like I was there.
Yeah, it wasn't going to edit,
edit to it. So, okay, I was
stopped, I want to find out this story.
What happened before y'all got
into it? You were there?
It was, well, it was just hunting.
And what happened?
Hold on, side, let me hear John's.
Ten tails went to circling.
Okay. And we was called,
they was calling them, and
it was just a blow up.
It was just a blow up.
Oh, did the ducks land? Did they not land?
I got in there and we got up.
They got over time.
Everybody missed us.
Hey.
Oh, that's not.
That was a different.
We didn't kill very many.
Yeah, that was a different.
And so then Jay's...
That was the time that, hey, Phil don't like nobody messing with the brush on the blind.
Well, hey, he had so much brush on it.
John couldn't see.
Yeah.
He couldn't even see out.
It takes me three volleys.
Look, the duck's actually lit.
in the decoys.
Well, hey,
ain't nobody can see them.
Oh, yeah.
That was at the,
that was at the,
uh,
Elmho.
Yeah.
The Elmocle see them.
Hey,
we did kill,
kill like three.
Both sides.
And they'll shoot everybody's butt.
Both sides of the blinds
this tall.
In the middle is this.
Yeah.
Nobody in the middle.
He said,
I got me out and shoot them.
Yeah.
Hey,
three people in the middle could not,
we couldn't shoot.
Couldn't see.
Couldn't see.
Couldn't see.
The ones on the outside.
they killed three out of the butt.
It sounds like there's a lot of these stories.
Oh, no, it is.
He did.
That's one time.
He did.
He'd come down there and look.
He said, ooh.
But that's all he said.
He just went, ooh.
Bill just looked at it said, oh, now I understand.
He did.
We couldn't see him.
Yeah.
I'm trying to find a picture.
He said, I might better cut that back.
I better cut that down.
I'd take me three volleys just a clear brush out where I could shoot the fourth group
that come in.
I was pitiful.
I had to shoot my way out of there.
And hey, these are a big green head.
So you and Jace got into an argument?
No, me and Jason.
Yeah, Jace.
What happened was Phil said, hey, we've been there all day.
Phil said, I'm going to go get the boat.
Well, he left.
Normally nobody gets out of the blind.
Yeah, this was the damn hole.
This was the first duck man meeting.
When he's done that, I said, well, I'm going to go out there.
start picking up decoys.
I think you had already gone.
No, I was up in the blind.
Well, somebody had already gone out.
Somebody was in the decoys.
I had come down the ladder.
I was fixing to get out there.
Well, anyway, I'm out of the middle of the decoys,
throwing decoy.
Look, we've watched ducks all morning.
We was in the emhole.
We watched ducks all morning,
the late.
I had told them when we pulled up, got in the boat.
I said, hey,
where we're hunting?
They said, well, we're going to go.
I said, hey, look, probably going to be a flight day on the day.
You better hunt on the open water, Lake.
John, do you remember it that way?
That's been a lot of hunts ago.
But hey, look, they said no, and they went to them all.
So look, we'd watch them all morning, light in the lake.
And I had to kill, our whips killed four-five.
And I bet you never once brought up the fact that you said that's where you should have.
Oh, I've reminded them much.
But anyway, look, I've been down there.
about 10 minutes throwing decoys in a pile.
Well, every time I throw one of them, you'd hear splash.
Well, guess what?
All them ducks had been locked down to the lake.
He heard it.
So they get up and come to the, check it out.
He calls them in by just throwing decoys.
That's how good he is.
No, no.
Hey, that's the reason they come up right.
Then Jay starts calling them,
well, they finally are coming in the decoys.
Jay said, hey, get behind the tree.
Well, hey, I'm looking at the ducks.
shadows on the water.
They're right above me.
You can't do nothing.
I can't move, so I just,
I literally sit down in the water
and the only thing is sticking up
in my head,
and I'm right by a brush.
So they didn't fly off of me.
But anyway, they got down to about,
and it was 100, 100 dollars.
It was a big buck.
They got down about 60 yards.
Well, you know,
then I hear finally, you know,
this, they flare.
Well, Jay shoots three times, and he killed one finally about
125 yards.
He did.
No.
And I asked him, you know, he got in my face, so I got in his.
I said, hey, why did he just raise up and killed the 60?
The ones at 60 yards, you should have killed three of them, boom, boom, boom, kill three
ducks.
You know, well, we just got, he's nose to nose to me with his fist doubled up and just
Ro, wrong, wrong, wrong.
Yo, and, hey, I'd already doubled mine up.
Verification.
I was, I was, I was, uh, scared.
Oh, no.
Chop.
I never seen that before.
It come, hey, it comes this close to Fis being thrown.
Yeah.
Well, hey, look, when Phil finally pulled up, seen all,
you heard all arguing, you know, you know, we had a, on the bank meeting when we got back.
They all said.
And, hey, he chewed everybody's butt.
Everybody, right.
Yeah, right here.
the circle.
For first and only.
You know,
that's the,
you know,
that's that bad feeling.
Oh,
no.
Oh, yeah.
Did you get out?
Yeah.
Everybody did.
Everybody.
He was just guilty.
Him and Martin were just guilty
by association.
Yeah.
What did Phil say, John?
He said from,
I don't remember everything he said,
but he,
that the end result was,
do not get out of the blind
or unload your gun.
Until I'm in the decoy.
You hear the boat motor running.
Yeah.
Until I'm in the decoy.
He said, you don't get out of that blind until I'm sitting in the decoy.
Yep.
So I never unloaded my dog.
I was the last man in the boat.
That's so funny.
Oh, it was.
It was.
Oh, he's got hot.
Sounds like everybody was pretty hot.
Oh, no.
I was just scared.
And hey, there was nothing else said about it.
Hypothetical.
It goes one step further and you and Jay starts swinging on each other. Who wins?
Oh, I'm going to have to hurt him and hurt him quick. Hey, look, I will say this.
That's why you don't mess with the old man. Uh-uh, he's crazy. Look, I've got one change. I've got
hit you hard and bad the first time because I know I ain't going to get the second case.
But, Cy, you were a lot younger too. Yeah. But here's the thing about Sai, since I've known him,
he's never been afraid of anything, which is not always good.
Thanks.
You know, yeah.
I mean, yeah.
He seemed in some instances where there could have been trouble.
I've seen a guy up in his face with his fists balled up inside of a prison,
like fixing the hit side.
Why were you in a, why were you in a prison fight?
This guy was nose to nose with sigh.
And then all of the deputies come running out to tackle him.
And I was like, no, no, no, no.
Let him finish.
Let him finish.
He's like, go ahead, son, you're okay.
Everybody's staying down.
I'm like, sigh, you're fixing to get beat down.
But pregnancies are tough enough when they're playing.
Yeah.
Much less unplanned, unexpected.
And across America, our friends over at preborn, they're helping bring hope,
compassion, encouragement, and they give you real support there so that the mothers
don't have to face this alone.
Look, preborn network clinics are putting the gospel into action by surrounding mothers with
hope and love and providing free life-saving ultrasounds. And the impact is incredible. This year along
more than 50,000, 50,000, y'all. Babies have been saved and more than 5,100 people have made
commitments to Christ through the ministry of preborn. Look, here's a personal message from Dan Steiner,
president of preborn. Because of you, we can invite mothers considering abortion into a pre-born
network clinic to meet their baby. And when she has that close encounter of the best kind in her womb,
she is 80% more likely to choose life.
And that's awesome.
Look,
you can help make that first ultrasound possible for the next mother who walks through
their doors.
And I remember like,
even when,
you know,
you got to test and you see pregnant and you're like,
huh,
that doesn't even compare to when you go to that first doctor's appointment
and you hear the heartbeat.
And then in our case,
when you go to the second doctor's appointment,
you hear two heartbeats.
You're like,
oh.
So the fact that they'll provide these ultrasounds,
I get how it helps women choose life.
Because even though the test was really,
the heartbeat was more real.
Will you join us in Preborn as we help rescue 50,000 more baby's lives for $28.
You can sponsor an ultrasound and help save a baby's life to donate, dial pound 250 and say the keyword baby.
That's pound 250 baby or donate securely at preborn.com slash.

What's the rest of the story?
No, no, I just, I'll see, here's what we did.
One up there for a friend, he wanted to preach gospel.
Yep.
Well, Philip and Matt had been talking to him about 30 minutes and I'm sitting there watching it.
Just seeing how he's in reaction.
So finally it's my turn, so I'd said something.
And the Holy Spirit pricked his heart.
So he jumped up and got in my face and had his fist doubled up.
And, I mean, he'd actually pick his fist up like he was thinking.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't even remember where the deputies come from because it looked like they appeared out of the wall.
But they all had night sticks in their hand, and they were fixed to teach you a school a lesson.
He was going to get it if he touched you.
Yeah.
And I said, hey, hey, guy.
Everybody calmed down real quick.
Everybody settled down.
And then I started talking to him again.
Yeah.
Because what it was is I had said something I'd shared the gospel with him.
And then he made reference to, hey, you're.
You're a big TV star and you got all this money.
You should hire me a lawyer.
Well, I come back after that, everything settled down.
I said, son, I said, let me tell you what's fixing to happen here.
I said, I'm fixing to get up and leave.
And I said, you're in denial.
I said, hey, you broke the law and you got caught.
And you're fixed to do five years.
And I said, right now you're in total denial about what's going to happen.
I said, but I wish I was right to decide you when it does happen.
I said, because one of these nights, after they've worked you all day,
we're going to go back to that six-by-six sale,
and it's going to hit you.
Reality is, and you're going to remember what this old man told you.
I said, I shared with you something that was worth more than silver or gold,
all you could carry.
I said, I shared where you're going to.
going to spend eternity.
And I said, and you, then you got in my face about a dollar bill.
I said, you want these nights, it's going to hit you.
I said, you're going, the Bible says it best was a prodigal son.
I said, hey, he's watching a bunch of pigs eat slop and are envious.
I said, you're going to hit, you're going to have that same thing when you hit rock bottom.
Yeah.
What age was it whenever you just decided, like, you could just tell somebody like that how it is?
I've always.
Oh, yeah.
No, no.
That's why he got in so much trouble in the military
because he can't hold it in.
But like in that case when we were all in the prison,
he was so focused on this guy that it didn't scare him.
It scared me because I was like, oh, well,
it scares the deputies too.
Oh, that's why they come out of their ready to wail him on his head.
But that's why, Cy, you're so good on stage when you're preaching to people
because you get them laughing and then you tell them to repent and turn to Jesus.
yeah, the best part of that is is the shock when they realized they've been preached to.
Yeah.
Because I had a guy that's in front of me standing up down there while I'm talking.
And the whole time, I made up a story about me as a young man.
You made it up?
Oh, yeah, I made it up just to preach the gospel.
Well, I had him just, you know, look.
I set the hook on him and had him, I had him.
He was locked down.
When I hit him with a punchline, he got mad and said, I can't believe this.
I've been sitting here listening to you and the whole time.
You've been going to this area right here.
You just shared the gospel with me.
And I said, yes, sir, I sure did.
And I said, hey, and God sent you.
That's right.
I said, you don't know it, but you didn't have a choice to be here today.
I said, God sent you just to hear my story.
Sal, I was using your storytelling.
That's like those people, they don't know where David's Temple is.
Wait, what?
David's Temple.
We're in to find out.
That's beside his ear.
I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, I was, ragged my brain.
You went teal hunting and gator hunting this weekend?
Yeah.
Oh, I didn't know.
Hey, look.
He would get, yeah, he was telling me all about it.
Before why I got there, they had six.
And the biggest one was 11 foot something.
Ooh.
He was a good of him.
Yeah.
You know, and had a couple of eight footers, ten putter, you know, and there's some little ones.
You know, I shot an eight and a half foot, you know, and then Stone shot like a five, five and a high six foot.
Yeah.
So we both get shot, shoot a gator.
Which, you know, that ain't much.
You know, he's hooked.
He's on the line, like a trot line.
And I'm glad.
I went to Florida, and we was on, and they let you use these radio,
callers sounds like a baby gator.
Yeah.
Them suckers come like a topwater bait.
Oh, yeah.
And they get, you can't hook them there.
So they get, they snag them with a big treble hook.
Yeah.
They snag them.
And that's the way you know where he's at.
No, no.
Yeah.
I've lost that.
They may have a big grappling hook,
but they sharpened them up real short,
and you throw it out there
and you drag it, drag it, drag it,
and you fill him,
and you hook him with that.
Yeah, you got a big rod reel,
Dick C. Fisher Rod Reel.
They videoed it.
It's on Commander or something.
Yeah.
I was wrestling that thing.
It had a buoy on the end of the rope.
I was right,
he'd come up and bit beside my foot.
It was a deck boat I was on.
I know.
Glad you said.
That's a little more exciting.
That guy said, well, we usually let go of that road.
He liked to pull me in.
It was so much, it was like being on, what's them, elliptical thing?
An elliptical machine?
Man, I was wore out.
I was trying to hold that goater.
He's trying to get away.
No, no.
That's the first time.
When they got through, that guy said, we usually let go of that route.
They're hard to wrestle.
I watched that.
Now, that would be fun because it's like catching a big fit.
Right.
But we cooked, we cooked it.
They skinned it out and cooked it that night.
And it was good.
Yeah.
It's like, you know, nothing I've had at the restaurant or something.
Well, I think so.
The one that Jay shot was little.
Yeah.
If you know, you know, he's probably been good eating.
So we.
That was good.
We killed one on the Duck Family Treasure Show.
Actually went and caught one and killed it and shot, whatever.
And we ate it over at Jep's house.
And it was pretty good.
I don't care for it.
Fresh.
If you get it fresh, it ain't bad.
Well, this is stout.
It's got a stout flavor to it, though.
This didn't.
This was pretty good.
The one I ain't.
By the way, you told me y'all didn't like eating the till?
No.
The till.
But that's what y'all hunted this weekend, right?
Yeah.
They say they're good eating.
You got to put them in a gumbo or something.
If you kill them down in South Louisiana, but they actually smell.
They've got a musty spell, and it actually.
Actually, when you cook it, you know, you know it's something, you know, it's got a bad.
There was some boys in South Texas.
He soaked them in something with oranges and.
Oh, turpentine.
And they don't.
Yeah.
They were good.
Well, Phil, them told me.
They were good.
So he cooked them, you know, because what they did was a, they kind of like halfed it,
like a chicken, you know, just took it and dried down the middle of the bread.
Mm-hmm.
And then cooked it, you know, a half of breath.
The blue wing, okay, they smell.
Green wing?
Green wing?
Green wing.
There's something about the water where they rest
is different than where green wing rest.
They're just healthier eaters.
A green wing teal eats a bunch of salad.
Well, I...
Blue wing teal eats a bunch of slim, Jim.
Well, they do something.
They got the meat swells.
Hey, green wing teal's delicious.
Yeah.
The blue wing is...
Phil's tried to cook them for years.
Every time he's tried, no.
Couldn't eat it.
It's got to be something to be with what the bird eats.
Yeah, yeah.
Like if you took a cow that ate nasty stuff, it would taste terrible.
Yeah.
Right?
I guess.
That's why they got grass-fed cows.
A guy when we were done hunting, a guy told me you can eat pigeons.
He says, you can eat pigeons.
They eat the same thing as these things, but I just didn't make myself do it.
Speaking of pigeons.
Hey, look, that's how so delishy.
What did you guys?
I saw.
Quab.
Quab.
Yeah.
Quab.
Yeah.
That's a young.
pigeon and look
if you're on the menu
I think like $150 for one.
Like a New York City pigeon?
Yeah.
I saw three New York City size pigeons
like this big at Campioka this weekend.
It was the craziest thing I've ever seen.
Oh, I know one thing.
They were like legitimate pigeons that like crap on taxis.
I was like, why are those here?
Then cat burrows and central park are giant.
John Luke's trying to get rid of them.
That's all the ring that
dove is.
Like a dog.
Yeah.
He's a form of his pigeon.
It's just a big pigeon?
He's a big pigeon.
Would you, if you ever got invited back to New York City,
would you go pigeon hunting in like Central Park if they let you and eat them?
Yeah.
I wouldn't eat them.
I'd shoot them.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I'd be after them cat-sized squirrels.
Well, no, no.
Look, hey, it's a bird, okay, because both birds are edible.
October is a crazy time of year.
Everything's changing.
The leaves are changing.
And a lot of routines change, too.
I've switched a lot of what I do to try and stay fit.
But the one thing that makes my routine simple is AG1 Pro.
AG1 Pro takes the foundation of AG1 NextGen and adds even more all in one daily pack.
How many scoops will do you?
That'd be one.
One scoop or one pack will do you.
If you're already taking creatine separately, which I was,
AG1 Pro simplifies things with 5 grams of creatine built right in.
You're also getting over 80 vitamins, minerals, pre-improbiotics, and whole food-sourced ingredients.
AG1 Pro is formulated to help maintain lean muscle mass and support muscle recovery.
It also carries over the immune-supporting ingredients from AG1 next gen, including vitamin C and zinc, for less than a dollar more per serving.
I like to keep it simple.
You get a cold glass of water, shake that up in a shaker, boom right down the hatch.
and you're ready to take on your day.
You got creatine, you got vitamins, you got everything you could need.
So go to drinkag1.com slash...

including a bottle of omega-3 fish oil
and a bottle of vitamin D3K2

Now, you know how kids are soft these days?
There's a little viral kid on the internet right now.
Are you ready for this?
You know how kids, kids need to get outside, right?
Yeah.
Watch this kid.
You ready?
Oh, my kid got a goose.
A goose attack this kid.
Don't you be talking with me.
Oh, yeah.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, look.
360.
Try it again.
Let's try it again.
Oh, he's dizzy now.
He made him dizzy.
The internet's going wild about that size.
I said, I got to show side of that.
That's good.
That's good.
Because kids aren't outside anymore.
I've seen him, John, he got to pecking, he, karate chopped him.
What's the 360?
Don't be, Judy waged you with a Judy chopping.
He judy chopped that.
That was like a four-year-old kid karate chopping a goose.
Why are goose is so mean?
They are mean.
I know, because they used to be guard dogs.
I used them as guard dogs.
Hold on.
A goose.
Hey, ain't nobody ever.
Wait, you all ain't ever heard this?
Absolutely not.
No.
A goose is a guard dog?
Hold on the-
sigh, tell the story.
Hold on.
Type in guard-dog.
Guard-dog?
Type in a guard dog?
Just guard dog.
Type in a guard dog,
dog, let's see what comes up.
Guard-dog.
All right, here's what comes up
when you Google the word guard dog.
Okay.
A dog.
Dole one picture.
My neighbor's got two dogs that look like that,
and Carter just says,
hello, Mr. Guard dogs,
and we don't get too close.
Hey.
No goose came up.
Guard dog goose.
Hey, this is biblical.
biblical yes sir i'm so excited you can hey you can read in the bible somewhere i can't tell you where
that hey they use geese as as the guard dog all right
john d you're on they make all that racket when something comes up that's what they do that's
why the golf course in hattisburg mississippi they got our friend dr deans to go out there and
kill all the geese that were living on the golf course well the american
Nest, number one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Number two, they'll build nests and have eggs, and that's a mess.
And they do it on the greens.
Huh.
And, you know, where you put the thing in the hole.
Is it true?
I'm about to blow every one's minds.
No, yeah.
It's an ideal.
It's in there.
I knew it.
It's not the Bible.
It's not, this isn't the Bible.
But in ancient Rome.
Ancient Rome.
This is apparently true.
Every year Romans would crucify dogs while geese set upon purple and gold pillows and watched.
Because when the Gauls attacked Rome in the year 390 BC, the geese raised an alarm while the guard dogs were silent.
Yeah, I was a solid.
So apparently-
So apparently-
So apparently-be-not-bark at him to the enemy.
I'm not sure.
Still ain't in the Bible.
I'm looking.
I'm looking.
I'm saying.
But the Romans apparently who were pretty good at what they did.
Oh, they were so.
Okay.
Yeah.
Oh, they were so.
Here's the Google AI overview.
If you Google guard dog goose.
Geese makes surprisingly effective guard animals because they are naturally loud,
highly territorial, and virtually impossible to bribe with food.
So they're the opposite of me.
Hey, look, you're not going to sneak in on them.
They'll get the cackling and going on.
Where's your all?
They make a racket.
Oh, no. I found a, I found a video of a Brazilian prison using geese for security.
Oh, my word.
I'm getting a spam, potential spam.
It ain't.
They use your number, a local number.
Yeah.
You'll pick it up.
And they want to remind you about the car insurance.
Have you been in a wreck lately?
No.
That's what they're going to call you and say.
Well, look.
That's crazy.
They're trying, that's trickery.
I would never do business.
with somebody like that.
Even if I was...
A false name comes up.
But they're looking for victims, you know what I mean?
That's great.
Oh, yeah, they sent me a text today
said my number's going to be blocked
if I don't re-up my card.
Yeah, don't do it.
He's reading...
Cy's reading along with me right now.
There's really a thing called...
I can't pronounce it
because it's Latin or whatever.
That's...
That's part of it.
Like, everybody knew that the Romans had a sacred royal thing of geese over there,
and they sacrificed dogs to them.
How do you know these things?
No, I've read it.
I've read it somewhere about there was someone else that actually used it.
I'm going to get big of guard.
You know, you're out there fishing, and that's a certain type of geese.
It's like them over in England or somewhere.
Yeah.
Not them Canadian.
No, it is a certain.
But they're loud.
I mean, you can hear them for miles.
Well, they're actually aggressive.
Yeah.
It's like that and that bowl is fighting off.
They're actually aggressive.
Whatever that is.
This species of geese.
And they're big.
You don't come into their area.
They must be good to eat.
They'll attack them.
Because it's a bunch of them over.
I mean, that's what they read.
And then most people that used them as security alert,
I had a bunch of
I wouldn't want to do the cleanup
I mean the Romans
the Romans were in on it so you know it worked
oh that's yeah
that was wow
but Brazilian prisons have replaced dogs with geese
that is just a true story
things you don't know
geese have now replaced
dogs in Brazilian prisons
because it's surprisingly effective
some dogs
so you're sneaking out and you see these
you can blow dogs
some slim gym and get away.
So somebody
escapes prison and they put
a goose on him.
A whole flock of geese.
And that,
they're going to
find a dude running out through the wood.
And then he gets his goose cooked.
Hey, that was on the news
the other day about a dog,
guard dog, supposedly a guard dog
that just welcomed
the guy that broke in.
And walked up to him was like,
yo, pet, he was eager, you know.
That's a bad.
He treated him as a friend instead of doing what his job was for.
There was a dog.
I went on a walk this morning.
All of a sudden, I was listening to some music, and all of the sudden there was a dog touching me, and it was loud.
It was roo-roo-roo.
And I nearly pooped my pants.
But then I just jumped away, and I was ready to fight the dog.
And then, and then your jeans.
And then the dog calmed down, but it was scary.
Well, that's why, that's why.
Guard dogs are only supposed to be loud.
That's why all the farmers used to have geese.
I'm serious.
That's why they had geese.
It's part of security.
Eggs and eating.
Oh, no.
You know.
We got a dog from this lady at church.
He never barked.
We called him.
His name was Roger because,
Roger.
What's that?
Alabama.
they give them to
their last name's Rogers
so we named him Roger.
He named him Roger.
It's Cal's silent partner.
He never barked till Paul's brother
come over and then he started barking.
Hey, he barked everybody.
If anybody ever comes to your house
and your dog
just, nothing has happened.
The other dog is where laying out.
If he starts growl in a low throaty growl,
don't trust that that person
just comes in.
He's not trust one.
He's the dog growled.
Do not trust them.
I have a problem with that, though, because it's only happened one time, and I had Dublin for 14 years.
And he only growled at one person.
Martin.
Nope.
My mother-in-law.
It was actually super funny because it was the first thing.
We brought Carter home, and like, he was laying on the ground, and my mother-in-law comes over the first time.
We didn't know how the dog was going to act.
Well, he got super protective, and she comes over.
was like going to pick them up and I heard and I was like
you've lost your mind animal
but true story he growled at her
which I was kind of proud of because it's like hey
dog's ready to roll it
my dog's not a guard dog
it's a watch dog you should get some geese
it watches everybody comes in he watches
just watch him as it
he's a watcher

But it's a hundred geese.
What's he doing?
Hey, I'm going somewhere.
Oh, he's going to North Carolina.
You just don't know where?
I'm going to North Carolina.
What you got out there?
I'll ruin my mouth.
I got you.
Faith and freedom.
I just got back from Kentucky.
That was pretty cool.
Oh, Jay's just got back from South Dakota.
He said that was a trip.
And you first would go back to Florida, I think.
Because, look, he was.
I went to Monroe this week.
Am I going to Wisconsin first?
Yeah, Wisconsin first.
Wisconsin first.
of the home.
Life camp.
Yeah, hunt for life.
That was pretty cool.
Hold on.
Where was this video taken of Martin pushing Sye through the...
So this is me and Gaudwin are tired of pushing Sye.
So then this is in Wisconsin.
We're making Martin do all the way.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And Sia loves it.
He's just being treated like a king.
Yeah.
We always stop and get a bunch of snack.
Yep.
Yeah.
Yeah.
When was that?
Last week?
Last year.
That's what happens.
That's where we're going.
Oh, that's where you are going.
That's what happened.
We actually went.
Well, I probably talked about it.
On that week, being aunts and you'd like it.
Say that again, John.
Being aunts and uncles with them kids that their fathers passed away.
The life camps.
Yeah, that was.
I heard good things about it.
Yeah.
That's exciting.
Thank you.
I don't know how many of them people there that give money to it.
Listen to our podcast, but your money is well spent.
It means a lot.
it's a good deal
look at Hunt for Life
and then you can look at LifeCamp
USA
so
that's what happens
when you smoke too many cigarettes
yes sir
you get Martin to push your own
okay
I might start smoking
he quit smoking
and they went to
doing them Clint Eastwood
cigarette
who did
oh I didn't know that
yeah
oh no
how did I not know that
oh they stunk worse
Just like Rooster McConaughey, you just had a cigar the whole time?
Wait, what is the Clint Eastwood cigar, like a 99-cent one from the...
I don't know.
They bought that long.
The little short ones.
Where they called?
I can't remember the name of them.
Cigarillo.
I had a wooden holder on it.
You were smoking black and milds?
He wasn't smoking them, though, right?
They wasn't mild, I tell you that.
I can't remember what the name of that.
Was he smoking them or just chewing on them?
He was smoking them.
Oh.
Yeah.
We never knew that size.
I picked up heavier smoking things to quit smoking cigarettes.
He said,
that's the first step into quitting.
Let's get rid of all this filter.
Well,
don't know.
Let's just put it straight into the lungs.
You don't smoke as many.
No,
you can't.
Your lungs can't handle it.
No,
no, I'm serious.
Because, you know,
our lungs couldn't have.
I spoke two packs of Winston a day.
Two.
Well, I would smoke by five cigars.
You were two packs of Winston's a day?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Well, that's a box.
It ain't about five of them in a box.
Oh, no, that's what I'm talking about.
I can't remember the name of them.
Black and mild.
They're about, they're about the size of my index finger.
Swisher sweet for sure.
No, it ain't sweet.
That's the one I smoked.
He tried one.
But that ain't, the one that had the wooden hold it on it.
Wouldn't?
It's a different one.
I don't know.
I hate how much I know about this.
I can't believe.
I smoked them for years.
I can't remember stupid.
Well, you've been off of all the smoke for a long time now.
What, 2005?
Yeah.
Two, five.
Look at you now.
When you have a heart attack and open heart surgery,
yeah, you'll change your way.
That's over 20 years you've been off of it.
Typically start listening.
Huh?
A heart attack and open heart surgery.
Yeah.
And open heart bypass surgery, yeah.
You just changed your way.
Over a staking mallard death.
They said a big crippled drake.
He kept saying, boy, I got heartburn.
You gained thumps.
I just happened to have some.
Oh, you were there.
Oh, no.
Hey, I dropped him out on the bottle of it.
I said we finished to go to the block.
We went.
The backwater was up.
Wait.
And so there wasn't a lot of ducks there until they, it was like the ducks was coming like mid-morning.
So we went and got in the woods because Thanksgiving was coming up or Christmas, one of them.
And Phil wanted a bunch of wood ducks.
So we're going to shoot some wood ducks.
And then we was going to the blind.
And I was over sitting on a stop.
I said, you go into the blind?
He said, no, y'all piqued me up on the way back.
So we left and went to the line.
I said leave me about 10 decoys.
I'll stay here.
So you were just sitting in the woods by yourself?
Yeah, oh, yeah.
Yeah.
And you just thought I'm feeling a little bad right now.
I thought it's heartburn.
You know, my wife kept saying, no, you need to go lock.
You need to go to life.
So look, the next morning, I got up, got all my clothes on, got my truck,
was cranked truck and fixed leave, chest paint.
Yeah, so I was turning the truck off, six.
there for a few minutes.
I went back in and told Chris,
he said, get up.
He said, why?
I said, you got to drive me to
the grocery room.
Yeah, he called
Fields.
I answered the phone.
As soon as I walked in, hey, that
grabbed me, put me in a wheelchair.
Hold on.
I want to hear what happened.
What happened, John?
Well, we was going, you know,
we gathered up there at Fields
and the phone rang, and it was
sigh.
And he said,
I'm out this morning,
I'm going to the hospital.
Chest pain.
Bong.
So I told
Phil I said
He's fixing to go to the hospital
chest pain
And Phil said
All right
load up
We're headed to the blind
All right
load up
Yeah load up
And then Kay called me and said
They do an emergency surgery on
Si
So
we finished out
And then went on
Whatever
So I was already
Done had his operation
sitting there awake looking at us.
Bill walked in, he said.
It was a wild night.
Bill walked in there and looked at him and said,
well, you made it.
That's about what he said when he came to your house
when you had COVID.
Oh, no.
Yeah, you ain't never seen him come up to your front porch, have you?
No.
But he did.
Yeah.
Well, he made it.
That was a wild night because my heart rate
kept going, getting real high.
Before the surgery?
Before the surgery.
That night before, you know, because Dr. White had, you know, called his team and said,
hey, look, we're going to, you know, operate tomorrow morning.
Well, he kept coming in, you know, during the night.
And he finally coming in and he said, hey, look, you got to quit this.
You know?
He said, you can't keep getting high blood pressure and all this up.
I'm going to say, I'll probably on you tonight, and I ain't got my team here.
So he left.
He wants to calm down.
Yeah, about 1.30 at night, at morning.
So I was laying there, and it was come to Jesus meeting.
And I said, I'm sorry.
I said, I shouldn't be doing this.
I don't know why I'm worried.
You've always had my back ever since I've been born.
I apologize.
I said, hey, if I die right now, we're square.
I want to bed.
Next time I know, they're waking me up and preparing me.
That's that piece that transcends all understanding.
Nobody else would have done that.
I just looked up and I said, hey, I'm sorry.
I apologize.
I don't know why I'm doing this.
I said, you've never failed me.
You've always been there when I needed you.
And I said, hey, if I died tonight,
either if I die on the table in the morning, we're good to go.
We're square.
You know, and then, shoo.
Blood pressure went down, everything's cool.
I went through the surgery and woke up,
I was the one that told me, you know, what Dr. White had done.
Yeah.
And I do know what happened.
No, no, I'm serious because he's telling me this.
Did he tell y'all this?
Yeah.
I said, you got to be kidding me.
I said, hey, I'll tell you, that's what the doctor,
he said, they probably got it filmed to show people.
Because, hey, when that guy walked into the restaurant at the hillboard at Gimbers
and said, that was the most amazing thing.
You know, Dr. White said, hey, ribs better.
And all of them looked down and went, went,
because most of the time they spend an hour cutting the fat off of the heart
where you could even see it.
And when he's spreading our ribs,
It was just, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
And then the guy who was telling Philip,
he said, that was the coolest thing to watch Dr. White just gently
put his hand on the side's heart, lift it up, and said, scaffold.
Got the right side, vein, stitch, boom, stitch, poop boom, stitch,
the other side cut, same thing.
He's holding his heart above his chest.
Well, I was telling when I tell people this story, I said, you got to understand.
We've got people that do amazing things with their body.
Yeah.
I said, I had a doctor hold my heart in his hand in between heartbeat.
Stitched that fan on my heart.
I'm sure glad he did.
Look, hey, look, if you x-rayed my heart right now,
There's that veins is the end of the veins sticking out.
You can see it.
It's a weird looking.
Good surgeon, but bad with the needle and the head.
No, no, yeah.
I said, well, I was just one and I was, when I was saying it,
I said, why didn't he just snip it off even?
Nah, that's his trademark.
You want, you, you want your heart to look normal?
Well, no, no, I'm just, I was saying it was a tacky looking heart.
It was weird.
Yeah.
We, they need to study you one day.
It was just insane.
That's like when they put.
that mass out of my shoulder.
I wanted it.
He said, well, we had to send that off.
He said, it'd stink anyway.
Oh, yeah.
I was wanting it in a jar.
Well, no, no, because my uncle,
my uncle who got wounded in the Correa,
Correa War,
he had big chunks of shrapnel.
He had that in a jar.
Yeah.
What about your teeth?
What did you do with the teeth you get?
I got them out to house somewhere.
That's too much.
Hey, no, we got to put them in a jar
and shake them out.
We need to put those on a guard goose.
No, no, no.
Hey, here's one thing.
I don't notice one thing.
78 years is rough on the set of teeth.
Oh, yeah.
That is, you take, they even take care of them.
Yeah.
And two packs of Winston's in a hell really do a number to them.
Yeah.
You know, good.
Great.
Flat top.
No.
No.
They were jagged.
Well, I had a Bible verse that closed us out about bad guard dogs.
But I got to be honest, I don't really understand.
what the verse is about.
So I'm going to go to an old classic
that just recently got brought up.
Philippians 4-7,
which Cy experienced in that bed,
wondering what's going to happen,
is my heart all right?
And he said, all right, God,
we're all square.
And that is because Philippians 4-7,
and the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
will guard like geese.
Your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Wow.
That's right.
Fantastic.
It even had the word garden.
And that's true.
We'll see y'all next time right here in the Duckcar Room.
That's how I don't choose you, but we'll see you next week.
We can't wait to see you again.
