Duck Call Room - Uncle Si & Godwin Go Full Gordon Ramsay

Episode Date: July 20, 2021

Si and the boys are stunned by Godwin's surprise entrance. "Uncle Sí" chats with Alexa. Godwin rates fans' sandwiches, but we might have to DQ the winner. Martin urges people not to put goldfish into... lakes. Si is delighted by a memory of farting deer, and he confirms that his signature blue Tupperware tumbler isn't the only cup in his collection. John-David reads listener emails about pickup lines, door-to-door candy sales, and Si's everyday carry. And heads up: It's probably a bad idea to put "former CEO of Duck Commander" on your résumé if you're not Willie Robertson. - Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:08 That old, is that old gentleman? Oh, that one. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, all right. To be in that number. Go get it. St. Carmarton.
Starting point is 00:00:31 All right. He brought it in, boy. That's a job. That's a lot I'm talking about. Yeah. Now. It was a little rough. Look, I'd already got you a cup of coffee.
Starting point is 00:00:43 Hey, that's right. See? Yeah. I didn't even know. Oh, my goodness. Man. Hey, that's good. I was worth coming in here for today.
Starting point is 00:00:54 All right, we'll see y'all next week. Are we wrong? All right. We're done. That's my favorite song. No, you need to do that. That's why we need to hold in Mr. What do you think we just did?
Starting point is 00:01:06 We just did. Look at the ticker behind you. Oh, hey, that's what I'm talking about. What about it? You bought it on the ball. Hey. Hey, give him boy the nickel room. Hey.
Starting point is 00:01:20 After we get paid, of course. I've seen all his comments. That guy said, I guess we're going to have to send the trumpet up there for him. I said, well, it's time. I wasn't quite ready. I wanted it to be better. Oh, I don't. That was perfect.
Starting point is 00:01:33 What do you mean better? What are you talking about? That was fantastic. Hey, let me tell you, when you're talking about it? you hadn't played the trumpet in a while, your jaws, they ain't what they, even blowing calls,
Starting point is 00:01:45 too, you know, making calls. In other words, your lips ain't in shape for this. Okay. I bet his lips are fine. His cheeks ain't.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Okay. Yeah, the cheek. The jowls ain't what's in shape. The jowls ain't what they're supposed to be, boys. Hey, I did it. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:02:01 I think we need to get like a bucket and head down to New Orleans. I'm shaking. Hey, I'm clear like that. A big bunch of ducks has come over our big buck digger. I'm ready to tear something. I want to go on a bourbon street.
Starting point is 00:02:15 I'm a crowd, boy. Yeah. I needed an umbrella. No, no, I'm serious. Hey. No,
Starting point is 00:02:20 you had enough going on with just playing it. I don't think he's ready to play and spin. I would have brought an umbrella had I known it was coming. That's it, boy.
Starting point is 00:02:28 That's fine. Well, I can delete a bunch of emails now that I don't have to read any way. Well, there went one whole section to make it fun of Galvin. He did it, everybody. Well, hey, look here.
Starting point is 00:02:37 You don't want to make it fun of me? Hey, one to ten, ten being the greatest? Ten. Oh. He gives him a ten. Like last week one was the greatest and ten. I'm on a ten. Yeah, it was backwards.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Yeah. It depends on what day. He ain't had his coffee yet. Oh, yeah, I don't drink a whole cup. That's what I'm talking about. He's on one today. And tea. I'm so excited.
Starting point is 00:03:00 I really, I'm speechless. Hey, what about my beaslese? Oh, you're looking fly. You're looking good. You ready to start a movement. Hey, I wish I'd have told them to see me a rosy color. That would have been awesome. No, that's what I named.
Starting point is 00:03:15 That's what the beetle actually. They was looking through rose colored glasses. Well, how did you two clowns get y'all's before we got all? Well, you know, all I did is that, hey, they show me a picture. Sometimes it's good to be me. Yeah, they show me a picture. He brought a trip. And y'all live the furthest out.
Starting point is 00:03:31 That one. Y'all live the furthest out. Me and John David live up in town. Y'all live right on the edge, and y'all don't got. Maybe they start with y'all. They start out of town? Well, they get on the outskirts of town. And they're going to the end of town.
Starting point is 00:03:42 You get yours in the mailbox today. Just look when you get home. So speaking of the mailbox. Oh, I didn't realize you got yours too. Absolutely. I didn't get a watch. I don't, I don't like stuff. I don't wear a well breading ring.
Starting point is 00:03:59 I took it off when I worked at Riverwood because I sent a guy jump off a cat walking at home. Oh, yeah. And it's skin. and him. I took mine off and put it in my pocket. I told Paul, I said, I ain't wearing it. Another guy got a brain called in a... Oh, no. And it bent down in there.
Starting point is 00:04:21 That's why, look, that's why just as a PSA... Where did you get them in? Don't you worry about that. We'll get there to. We'll get there to. Hey, we ain't there yet. Don't open your presents for Christmas. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Are we talking about people losing? No, but what I was going to say is a PSA, look. silicone wedding bands. That worked right there. Silicon is a break. They're cheap. They'll break. They'll break.
Starting point is 00:04:45 There you go. And if you get in a bind... Oh, I just always say, I am married, but I can't wear a bind. Now, I have mine. I have my... See, this is my wedding ring, but this was my papal's wedding ring that he wore for 50 years. Exactly. That's pretty nostalgia.
Starting point is 00:05:01 And so I can't take it off. And that's what I have. That's gold, too, baby. That's gold. I have my grandfather. Out and that's pretty. Real gold. Right there.
Starting point is 00:05:09 He wore it for 50-something years. And then I didn't even know I was going to get this. I was getting married. Mom goes, what kind of ring you're going to wear? I guess it's just a regular gold one. I don't know a big ring guy. And she's like, well, your pap ball left you this. I was like, well, guess I'm wearing that till I'm dead.
Starting point is 00:05:24 See, that's what I did too. I have my grandpa's wedding band. But I'm so paranoid about losing it. Don't work. That I wear it on like date nights or special occasions. And then the rest of the time, I rock the, I rock the, I rocked the silicone. So when we first got married.
Starting point is 00:05:39 I can't whirl. I had a. Jam fingers playing football. I had a gold nugget. Rain won't go. Wedding ring. Back then, the gold nugget. Golden ring.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Gold nugget wedding rain. Yeah, that sounds cool. They have like a horseshoe in it because you used a cowboy. No. In a pawn shop in somewhere. But this one was special because I had taken my moms and my dad's jewelry and melted it down and made that ring. Oh, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:06:05 So now. Now, Johanna took my ring that I told Paul I wasn't going to, well, she understood because of the situation. So Johanna melted it down and made her ring. That's awesome. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. Double meltdown, boy.
Starting point is 00:06:23 See, I was, I was like you. I was afraid I was going to lose this because when we first got married, I was quite a bit thinner. Yeah. And apparently I've gained weight in my fingers because this thing ain't coming on. Apparently, shocker. I remember on our honeymoon. I'm like, this thing's going to end up in the ocean. We back on them hot dogs now.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Look at their fingers. I believe. Yeah. Go-boy, boy, boys. Don't touch me, sir. Hey, I'm not going to get out, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, Lord.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Haveversion. Anyways. I'm in one in mood. But these things have come a long way, too. Oh, that's illic. I mean, like, this one's even got our Finn Commander logo on it. So you can get them however you want them. Fin Commander.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Let me say that thing. Taylor made, boy. What size is that? I don't know. 12, I think. I don't even know what size ring I wear. That's a weird one. You need a 13?
Starting point is 00:07:14 Not enough. I got some in my office. You do? Mm-hmm. I got fin. I got fin. I got pen. I got duck.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Hey, I can't wear them on either hand. Hey, that's pretty good. Jam. Jam fingers. Play football. I mean, I can get, they'd be like, if I put it up a wooden ring, I don't go home, it'd be like a honeymoon, huh? No, she's going to ask you who you got married to.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Mine well, go for it. So you played so much football you can't wear a wedding ring? No, too many jam fingers. Too many jam fingers, boy. His fingers do kind of go in all this direction. They come out, come out from down here from the wrist from the hand, then they get to their knuckle and flare out, then they get little. I got the same thing.
Starting point is 00:07:56 You see mine, they all kind of curve every which way. The ends of them fingers when you're a line. Oh, yeah. Oh, no, yeah. I got weird joints. so my fingers all go up. Like, I can't point straight. Your hands look like a lady's eyelashes.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Yeah. Look at that. That's what they look like. It's weird. I'm black, J.D. I can't, like, I have to really try and point straight. He was almost born upside down. That's actually also true.
Starting point is 00:08:21 And inside out. That's right. About to show all you folks what it's all about. Well, look, you know, last time you were here, God. You were ready by this? We celebrated, we celebrated 50 episodes last time. you were here. Look, folks, for clarity, we're not quitting. That was just a joke.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Yeah, people were mad at y'all. I know some of y'all must have hit halls when you got to that point. Because you said you were quitting because you wanted to be rich. You got to be able to take a joke. Everybody learned to calm down. We've actually really made it now. I need you to do something for me right now. I need you to say, Alexa, play the Duck Call Room podcast.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Alexa play the Duck Call Room podcast. Hold on. It wasn't on. Good, great. Do it again. Do it again, Sire. Okay, Tim Holtzai? Alexa, play the Duck Call Room podcast. Alexa, play the Duck Call Room podcast.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Come on, girl. A Duck Call Room from Apple Podcasts. Continuing the latest episode, how Uncle C and Godwin with their wives. Uncle C. Uncle C. You got 27 seconds before.
Starting point is 00:09:27 You got to run another place. Look, that's awesome, isn't it? Hey, Alexa. cut that junk off she did you know uncle c did you know you can just talk to that thing and it'll play your voice no no no no no no I don't need to be talking to the machine
Starting point is 00:09:44 next thing it's not a machine hey next time yeah it is next thing I know I'll be laying in some stupid couch and telling some idiot about what kind of problem it's not a machine that's alexus some people need those couches yeah look it ours even has camouflage tape what is turn out around
Starting point is 00:10:01 Let me look at it. Look at there. That's got pictures on it. So there you go. We've made it. We have made it. We have a fish in it. We have a big time.
Starting point is 00:10:10 I'm telling you. At 52, we're there. We're there. 52. I use my Alexa in the kitchen. No, we're not there yet. Huh? We're not there yet.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Why? We'll be there when we put a 72-inch screen right up there. That's what I'm talking about. 72. Why is talking about 70? Fat boy. Fat Boy, if you're listening, you little CEO. Hey, dig down in that pocket.
Starting point is 00:10:37 Okay, and hey, go ahead and buy it to 72-inch big TV screen to put in there in a podcast room. Speaking of CEO, I got a funny story about that. But we'll get to that right after this. Let's take our first break. We'll be back right there. First break. All right, look, springtime is here. It's warming up.
Starting point is 00:10:56 You know what that means? That means more outside cooking. And y'all know we love to eat beef around here. And that's what because of our friends over at Tritels Beef makes such a good product, baby. Ain't it good? It's so good. Our friend, Sal Robertson would say, buy on the grill. Look, before we got Tritels, getting ready for a cookout, man, somebody had to run the grocery store, do all the things, grab whatever was left in case you were late in the day.
Starting point is 00:11:21 And you never really know where that beef come to them. But with Tritales beef, we skip the grocery store and do it a different way. Tritales comes from a family ranch out in Texas. They're a fifth generation American ranch, so they've been at it for a while. Now, look, the beef comes straight from their ranch and other ranchers they work with who raise cattle the same way. Their steaks are properly aged and shipped straight from the ranch to your door. We threw a couple of ribbys on the grill. Look, salt, pepper, garlic, hot fire, that's all you need.
Starting point is 00:11:50 Look, because I tell you what, when the beef comes from people who raise cattle for a living, you can taste the difference. The tenderness and the flavor are fantastic. So if you're stocking the freezer for grilling season, go check out Tritails Beef. I know in size case Christine loves it, which is just a, she doesn't eat meat. She ain't a big meat easier, folks. Yeah. Just go to trybeef.com slash.
Starting point is 00:12:12 That's trybeef.com slash support ranch families and eat some dang good steak. Oh, anyway. So look, my jaws are so. That's awesome. Hey, you got to be precious. By the way, I just, I hate to say it. I almost feel like we may ought to replace the quacks at the beginning. Oh, Godwin's trumpet.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Yeah. Like when we come into this name? Oh, yeah. Or maybe when we go out. Maybe that's like the party music on the right out. Yeah, I'd vote for that. Yeah, I think. That's what they play at the end of the States games.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Yeah, maybe that's how we'll close this episode too. We'll have Godwin send it out after the Bible verse. That'll be fantastic. This is how I dance, by the way. This is all I got. Just back and forth. You do the monster match. I got something to tell you, though.
Starting point is 00:12:57 We had an interesting phone call this morning. There's apparently our former CEO is looking for a new job, so the people that were going to hire him called us for reference. But the problem is... He went and put his resume in somewhere, and then they call you... On job history, he put past CEO Duck Commander. And we're in a town of... We're in a town of how many?
Starting point is 00:13:24 By 50,000. He was 85 at Thompson. I didn't know Willie was looking for a new job. Does Willie need help? If you're listening, I got you. I certainly didn't know he was trying to be like a finisher for a steel fabricating job. I mean, that just seems like a ways apart. Oh, no, he ain't qualified.
Starting point is 00:13:43 Yeah, no. Willie ain't getting it either. If you're listening, whoever he put it in, don't hire me. He ain't qualified for still work. No, yeah. Oh, it wasn't Willie? Some guy, they came in and asked me if I knew his name, and I was like, I've never heard of this person in my life.
Starting point is 00:13:59 And, of course, first thing I did was Facebook. I couldn't find him. It's an imposter or a look-alike. We have an imposter, boys. We have an imposter in Monroe that's looking for a job, and he used Duck Commander as his former job. But why? CEO.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Why say CEO? Like, there was a show about this. And this is a small enough town anyway. Are you? Yeah. Do you not think they're going to call and or know somebody that works? here. Yeah, like, why did he put CEO was the question, and our answer was, who is he?
Starting point is 00:14:31 He could have just, look, and we have so many people during Duck Dynasty, he could have just put Duck Commander, and they would have called and said, what do y'all know about this guy? I'm like, he was a great dude. He was a, I would have never remembered everybody. And odds are, but he went with CEO. That's where he fouled up. Because odds are if he said he was here in those days.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah, but we didn't know his name anyway, because everybody had a nickname. He had some random nickname. Lost box, turf toe. I mean, we had them all. Yeah, I mean, they were just, nobody knew anybody's name. Where's lunchbox at, by the way? It's so much pain. I love you.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Lunchbox, if you're listening, I miss you. I do love lunchbox. He was a good time. He was good people. But anyway, yes, so, man, I'm sorry. If you're listening to this, you did not get that job you applied for. Because the guy that called and asked about him, he was not happy with the situation. Look, I will give him thumbs up because he was stanking big.
Starting point is 00:15:24 He dreamed big. Yeah. He was dreaming big. You probably... Where did you use to work? Oh, I used to be the CEO of Duck Commander. Yeah. So I'm going to go ahead and read this note from our man who sent us a big on Eminem.
Starting point is 00:15:37 The mailbox was legit this way. It really was. That's right. But this is, I'm Jace, and I'm 13 years old, and I love the podcast. I've listened to every episode. I hope you guys, especially Martin, will enjoy the M&M. I may have ad-lib the part about a story. Jason, I would just say, Jason, come on.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Hey, look, and he spells his name kind of a cool way, J-A-Y-C-E, not just J-A-S. Hey, I would, I'd spell it different too. Yeah, and it says, God bless. So, Jayce says, give him the Godwin. Hey, hey, no, that's right. He said, slide, all that over it don't fly. Jason, my man.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Jason, appreciate it, buddy. Thank you, buddy. Yeah. And now we're going to open them, and you'll probably hear Godwin crunching all. That's right. I'm going to let you open. You brought you trumpets. You get the honor of breaking the seal along.
Starting point is 00:16:25 You can break the seal. And I have you know those showed up two days ago and I haven't touched them yet. That's discipline. Oh, I'm telling you. Now, me and John David did crack the seal on the peanut butter ones that came in. You don't tell it. They're molding. What?
Starting point is 00:16:40 Here's going to give you an add-a-boy. Okay. And then you just told me he got it's something else. There's another bag that Jason sent. It's in the refrigerator. Cy, you want some? It's peanut butter emin-in-ems. We put those in the fridge.
Starting point is 00:16:53 And then also, while Martin's walking over here, Laura from Western Maryland, she sent the blue raspberry airheads that only I like. So that's awesome. Hey, hey. He gave them three. Look, you're a little live, Tedduston. He only gave them three. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:17:10 But then Laura also sent an email. She said peanut M&Ms are arriving today. And she didn't order them from Amazon. She ordered them from a place known as Costco. Oh, that's going to be a megatub. It might have been Sam's. That's a mega bag there. Was it Sam's or Costco?
Starting point is 00:17:26 Who cares? The feelings mutual on either one. It was somewhere that sells things by the palate. So I'm very excited. Wait, here's your email. Snacks on the way. Sam's Club, yes. Good job, Laura.
Starting point is 00:17:41 She has West Virginia roots, but she's from Western Maryland. And she'll send other snacks because if we have preferences, because she doesn't want anybody to feel left out. Hey, I've been to Salisbury, Maryland. some rednecks up there like us. Is that where the steak come from? I just wonder. Salt prairie steak.
Starting point is 00:18:00 I always wonder where that comes. Well, thank you, Loyal. Jason, the M&Ms are delicious. Jay's Laura, everybody that's in. Look, we can't get to everybody that sent stuff in, but just know that we get it. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 00:18:11 I left one on my desk. Somebody sent some raw honey to, I'm going to give that. Oh, the Australian honey. It's from Australia. But he lives in Utah. In the break, I'll figure out his name. Yeah. But that's on my desk.
Starting point is 00:18:25 He's from Utah, yet he's done honey from Australia. Mm-hmm. It was confusing. Isn't the world magical? What are you talking about? That's incredible, ain't it? Honey from Australia. Via Utah.
Starting point is 00:18:36 I guess they're... Bees. Bees? That means if we eat that honey and we go to Australia, we won't sneeze as much. It'll help with your allergies. There you go. That's why you eat local honey. Climbing.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Climbing. Climbing. That's the right word, climatation? Yeah, let's go with it. sandwich um i don't believe that okay that's fine you can sure to prove to like not believe science that's fine that's cool he don't believe in science no he doesn't he does not believe in science i believe in black panthers then there we go again he doesn't believe in science so um wait that went over i kid you not five minutes ago uh oh we got more
Starting point is 00:19:20 Karen, our sister in Christ, that's how she signed her name, has peanut M&Ms just need to know where to send them. Karen, let us tell you. Also, I bought airheads for JD as soon as I get an address. Karen, you're getting responded to live on the air. Karen, we would prefer that to say, attention, Martin. Hey, hey, hey, I just don't want any of these other sticky fingers to get them before they get to. Look, I share, I brought the whole bag in here. How come we ain't got them peanut butter?
Starting point is 00:19:50 butter one's in there. They're in the refrigerator. You don't want them to melt, do you? No. You grab you a handful of them when you go refill your coffee. Wow, we're just getting snacks on snacks on snacks. Man, that's a pretty good day.
Starting point is 00:20:02 We needed to gain some weight. I know, my wedding rings starting to get. I went to the doctor today and I've lost like two pounds. What did you weigh? 169.7. I had weighed that since 8th grade. And was that with clothes on? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:17 So you're really about 165 in? That's incredible. 60. Yeah. And the stuff you eat, he hits a pine ice cream a night, 160. Everything. Black walnut, boy. Black walnut, boy. I remember I had to make a run in Arkansas one night. Oh, yeah. Run up there. Was he there? Uh-huh. Yeah, I was there. What did you run for?
Starting point is 00:20:38 Size some ice cream. Oh, I thought you liked talking about. We had to run back to the big town of McCrory. Yeah. Oh. To the grocery store. What's that place called? And they didn't have any black walnut. No, we got you the closest they have. Didn't have it. I'd say something.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Good. That's good. They sold out everywhere. Black walnut. You know what I used to do, black walnuts? I used to shoot them out of the tree. Why would you do that? Because it's a good target practice.
Starting point is 00:21:04 My grandpa told me to, because you couldn't, it didn't count if you hit the actual walnuts. You had to shoot the stem off of it to knock it down hole. Yep. Could you do that? Absolutely you can. With open sides, no less. Yep. With enough pellets.
Starting point is 00:21:19 With enough pellets. and if you're mad enough to pump back Benjamin. It just, you know, what no CO2? We're going to have to move these because me and Sire just crunching in the microphone. That's fine. Hey, that lets Jason know the love is real. Thank you, Jason.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Hey, I see you. We appreciate that. Put it up. And I? We're going to let Sye finish you, and we'll take our second break and be back right after this. How many pounds is it? This is two pounds.
Starting point is 00:21:48 What is that? What is that? Sye still gnawing on them in the M&M and E. He's like a, like a, Like a deer chewing his cud. Do deer chew their cut? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Lay up and a shame. They up and chew it all day. Yeah. What? Chambered stomachs. They never spit. They just chew. They do that a lot.
Starting point is 00:22:07 They do love guys a lot. Yeah. Especially when you go hunt them in Wyoming and eat that alfalfa. Hold on. Don't they go out of them. Yeah. Very far away. You've been cheating you both.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Hey. Not only that. August 1 is my day. You better get on it. Not only that, especially if they, eat rotten pears that have fell off the tree. There ain't no pairs or a pair. Oh, I had two in Alabama, two big pear trees,
Starting point is 00:22:30 and they would wait until they got brown and mushy. And then eat them? Then a dough and two-year-olds will come down there and eat them, and every time they moved, it would have... Just farting everywhere. Like old buck and hog. Me and kids and wife are on the floor. If they'd let them go too much longer, they'd have probably got drunk.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Oh, no, no, no. They did get drunk. They staggered away. I'll tell you. Look, when they did, just bloated. Hey, alcohol. Here's what I tell you about that. A green pear gives you enough gas.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Golly. Green pair. No, all these were. Pulling pears off my mom's tree. Brown and mushy. Yeah. And, hey, when they bit into them, all you can smell is alcohol. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:11 What are we talking about? What the stuff deer eat? Pairs? Yeah, pears. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Oh, hilarious.
Starting point is 00:23:20 No, no, hilarious to watch. Okay. Well, let's get in. Every time they moved, he was, let's get in that mailbox, because I know last time Goblin was here, we asked for sandwiches. Yep.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Did we get sandwiches? I got eight sandwiches, and I got to be honest with you guys. You're not impressed. You're like Sunniall Twain? You ain't impressed. That don't impress me much? Our fan sandwiches.
Starting point is 00:23:44 We said we're going to rank up from one to ten or something, and I don't know what's the best. So you've obviously looked at them. I want a question before we get started. Are there any over a five? Are there any ham? With five being low. Because I don't like a ham sandwich.
Starting point is 00:24:04 With five being low. All right. Not American. Ryan sent this one in. Lettuce, ham, mater, bacon, bread, lettuce, turkey, mater, bacon. Yeah, it's just a lot of stuff. Oh, he made a club. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:18 He made a club without toasted bread. Oh, yeah. That looks good to you? Look, when you pick that one right there up, you can't put it back down, or it'll just tear up on you. You got to eat the whole thing. Once you grab a whole to it, you just got to eat. The problem with that sandwich, and I'm not trying to steal Godwin's Thunder here, there's no structural integrity to it. Like Godwin said, once you pick it up, no structure.
Starting point is 00:24:42 You don't put him down until you're done with it. Yeah, the foundation. What kind of bread? What kind of bread is? It ain't no foundation, boy. I'm guessing that is white bread. Yeah. That's like the old, that's the Bible verse right there.
Starting point is 00:24:55 That sandwich right there is built on sand. Yeah. That way it'll crumble. It ain't built on rock. It needs a little purple onion. It comes to rain. It's gone. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:04 So one out of ten, Godwin, what are you giving? That's a sandwich. Well, I mean, I can't eat that. Man, that's going to be. I'm going to give him about halfway there. I'm going to give him five. Five. I'm going to be.
Starting point is 00:25:18 I'm going to be. So you're standing the fence on this one. I mean, I'd eat it if I was hungry. Okay. All right. He's trying the fence on that. So, you didn't do too good there, dude. The dude, the belt that was hungry.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Okay. And in a hurry, apparently. In a hurry. No, he didn't put purple onions on it. I throw another one up, J.D. Let's see what else we got. All right. This man's name is Joe Duckman.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Joe Duckman. Joe Duckman. Joe Duff. And I just, I don't know. I can't see what that is. Now, why does he have him weeds from his front yard on there? I'm going to read about it. That looks like a salad instead of a sandwich.
Starting point is 00:25:53 He got them dandy lines on there. Central Illinois. He's a flour man. Multi-grained bread with mayonnaise, Gouda cheese, some greens. And last but not least, is that dear? Homemade jalapeno cheddar duck summer sausage. I'm interested.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Keep up the good work and let Godwin know I'm disappointed that he hasn't brought his trumpet yet. Well, now you're happy, buddy. In your eye. Oh, good. Hey. So I don't know about duck summer sausage. I'd like to try and see what that. I'm going to give him a six.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Six and a half. Oh, six and a half? That's going toward 10. That's going to be in high. That's right. All right. Next sandwich. That was upgrade.
Starting point is 00:26:37 This one interests me. Now, hold on. Okay. I look like a big burger. Now, look, let me tell you what's happened here. Okay. It ain't a burger, huh? This thing has been opened.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Oh, it's been opened? And the cheese is stretching from one end to the... That's a hot salmon right there. Looks like maybe... This is a heated sandwich. Yes, sir. Nothing's heated. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Tell us about it, Jaddy. All right. This is Savannah from Michigan sent this in and quote, dude, it's the biggest sandwich I've ever seen. It's called the Torto Cubana. Torta canvana. Ready? I'm in.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Are you ready? You don't even have to describe it. Bread, mayonnaise, Mexican melting cheese, chorizo, ham, breaded steak, hot dogs, fried eggs, avocado, lettuce, tomato, salsa, Mexican sour cream, and refried beans. Yes, sir. Absolutely. That'd be about eight and a half. I'd like to say, hold the mayo, but aside from that. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:27:39 The next sandwich we got, I got to exit out of these, is presentations lacking. It is Joe from Iowa's best sandwich. Joe from Iowa's best sandwich I can't see it. Hey, Joe Look Hey
Starting point is 00:27:54 Joe Hey, that's an ardor He's just a smile That ain't a sandwich That ain't a sandwich Let me tell you so What's in there? Scrambled eggs
Starting point is 00:28:03 Eggs Chives Bacon And he made it all over a campfire Campfire It's the best Entree for breakfast camping Joe
Starting point is 00:28:13 We love you That's it But you're in the ardures you ain't into sandwiches. Joe, you got to get off that flip phone back. That razor photo angle cut it. Not for this. I mean, it came in like this.
Starting point is 00:28:26 I was like, oh. And we need to get a bigger TV. Joe, come on. I got a cavity that won't feel. Oh, boy. I'm going to assume that's just the picture, Joe. But bacon, eggs, chives. That sounds pretty good.
Starting point is 00:28:41 I mean, I'd eat it 100%. I mean, I don't know why I wouldn't eat it. Hold on. Now, I'm not big. Marshall just sent a picture in. Marshall did. Is he from Texas? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:52 No. Is his last name Dillon? His first name's Matt. Oh, hey. Hey. Hey. I'm just kidding. His first name's Marshall.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Oh, BLT. And he just sent in a regulation BLT. Oh. Let's see it. Has it got peanut butter on it? No, it's got mayo. Oh, he missed it. He missed it.
Starting point is 00:29:10 He gave no description. But, hey, I do like the presentation. Some good-looking tomato. A lot of good. Good looking bacon and good looking tomatoes. Need a little salt and pepper, though. He got black pepper all over it. Oh, has he?
Starting point is 00:29:23 Mm-hmm. Okay, I can't see it. Manay's on one side, peanut butter on a udding. Well, yeah, hey. You missed the peanut butter, boys. Boy, that could have been a nice store. Hey, this is from a sandwich gour, gore over there. Gormour.
Starting point is 00:29:38 I don't even know what that means. Connoisseur? Well, connoor, either way. Or gomor. That would be. What's the word I'm looking for? Gourmet? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:47 but that's just like, I don't know. Godwin, what do you give that BLT? Seven. Oh, that's the highest yet, boys. No, no, no. I want to give him. Torto Kibana got an eight. Oh, the Kibana got eight?
Starting point is 00:29:59 I want to give our man, though, extra credit for the garden-grown tomatoes. He didn't buy them from the store. If he did, he bought them from the farmers market. That's right. Bonus points. Seven and a half. Bonus point. If I had a bang, when I had peanut butter's on there,
Starting point is 00:30:11 it'd have been knocking on Tens' dollars so quick he'd make your head swim. Right. So this one makes me. sad and I'm kind of mad at. I know it. Me too. No, this next one. Sonia from Western Kentucky. I'm a little mad at you.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Uh-oh. Because she's sending the best sandwich she's ever eaten from a restaurant that is closed down. Oh, hey, the best one in the name is closed down. Well, where is it? It's in Cannon City, Colorado. That's a briskett sandwich. I'm been there. That's a brisdic sandwich.
Starting point is 00:30:38 And look at that thing. That place ain't shut down. It's called Arby's. Now, that's better than Arby's. We have the meats. I mean. That is an all beef patty, smoked biscuit, cheddar cheese, bacon, and barbecue. Oh, that is a beef patty and a...
Starting point is 00:30:53 That's a hamburger with brisket on top of it. Yeah, I'm in on that. I'm giving that a nine. Oh, boy, Jay D. He's done come in. He's weighing in. I'm weighing in. I'm weighing. But you can't, you can't get the place shut down.
Starting point is 00:31:07 If it were that good, it'd still be over. Yeah. If it was that good, it would be able. So somewhere they fell apart. It was a tough year, man. But I do have a... Is that a slice of bacon on top, too? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:19 Yeah. Man, I'm going to say it is just to get you more on my side. We're going to have to build one of these. The only problem of that one is you put bread around it. Just pile that up in a plate and let's go. Well, I'm going back to that Torto Cubana from Savannah. Yeah, if I had to pick one out of all those. Tortota Cabo.
Starting point is 00:31:38 The Torto Cubana. That's the winter of the week. Torto Cubana. Cubon took it down, boys. Let's take a break. We'll be. back right. Boom.
Starting point is 00:31:52 I stay ready. There's your honey. Now, where is it from, Jay, Z? I lied. You lied? I'm super liable. It's not Australia.
Starting point is 00:32:01 No. Where's you from? It literally says product of the United States of America on the label. I think it's from Texas. That's why you don't believe I witness a count.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I don't mess with Texas. The letter, sorry, I'm eating airheads, said, Dear Duck Call Room, please enjoy this raw honey. Travis, a duck call room listener,
Starting point is 00:32:20 From Melbourne, Australia. Oh, Melbourne, Australia. Well, thank you, Travis. Yeah, appreciate it. That's where I got Australia from. That boy. Should we say, good day? We got a lot of.
Starting point is 00:32:30 You bloke, open that up. Isn't that what they called it? Bada. No, I said, good day. Where are you going to open it? A teaspoon of honey. A day is good for you. What if you dip peanut M&M's in honey?
Starting point is 00:32:43 Hmm. Whoa. Don't get us all sticky, though. Oh, okay. He's opening it, boys. Oh, it's already sticky. Ooh, sticky. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:32:52 What's a lot? Is it good? Yeah. I got a couple things. We can keep going on. We need a toast. We need a toast. Well, it's been a while since we had like a full fan appreciation.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Let's go with it. So I had a fan named Jen sent this one in to my email last night. Her name's Jen Taylor. She works for us. Or works with us. Who does? What does she do? Who is she?
Starting point is 00:33:15 She's a co-worker. She's a magical being that resides over all of us and makes sure we. does the right thing. And she also edits this podcast. Extra points for sucking up. So she said, somebody sent this in. It was celebrities that also played college sports on men's health.com. That is not Phil.
Starting point is 00:33:37 Phil Robertson was the star of Duck Dynasty. He had an impressive career as college football star in a state of Louisiana and serves as the team quarterback. That's a good looking man in that cowboy hat. Hey, it's a picture. I don't care who you are, boy. That's a good-looking cowboy. And that right there is why you can't believe what you read on the internet. That's just men's health.com.
Starting point is 00:33:59 That's a bad-looking cowboy, boys. I didn't know you played college football, Si. He didn't. Or that your name was Phil. I just thought that was funny. Who else we got? The internet is full of traffic. Okay, but I had probably my favorite one I've ever got today.
Starting point is 00:34:16 A favorite he's ever got, boy. But I can't find it. Oh, my. My goodness. It's like I got it all together, but I forgot where I put it. Delayed it? I found it. But it'll be in the last place you look.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I found it. I found it. I found it. I found it. So, Ed, my man. Big Ed. Big Ed. He apologized for not having any gifts.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Ed, this is a gift. That's fine. In and of itself. He said, go check out Jace's Wikipedia page. Well, they got all that's messed up bad. Well, you Robertson's must all look alike. Because if you go to Jace's Wikipedia, Idiot page.
Starting point is 00:34:50 That's old jewels there, boys. That's Yulees. It has a bunch of stuff that Jace probably claimed that might or might not be true. Oh, that's right. We're bad about claiming stuff. Okay. Oh, yeah. Family tradition.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Oh, that's fantastic. Jace's Wikipedia page. Wikipedia page. But we can edit this, right? Yeah. Can we change the picture? Not to Jace, but to something totally ridiculous, like Joe Exotic or something? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:16 You'll, all right. Can we really have fun with this? Hey, put Joe dirt up there. Oh, or Joe dirt up there. Either one works for me. Dear tell you. Put your dirt up there. Yeah, give me a minute.
Starting point is 00:35:26 I'm going to pull this back down here. I bet you I can make some things happen. Oh, goodness gracious. And then, you know what? It also gets my attention in the emails, Martin. What's that? When two people send the same story. Really?
Starting point is 00:35:39 Is it a good one? Oh, yeah. They live in the same town? No, we got two people that tell the same lie. No, it's not a lie. Oh, it's a lie. So Dustin sent it from, he found it in Chicago. He found Chicago.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Then Jayce, she sent it. She's from Idaho. That's a long way apart. Yeah. But apparently in Minnesota, there is a major issue. What is it? Whatever. Giant goldfish in the lakes.
Starting point is 00:36:07 I saw that. Oh. I read it last night. Giant goldfish. Campfish ain't done to eat that. No. No, they're too big. Giants.
Starting point is 00:36:16 Giant goldfish. Biggin. Bigging. I'm talking. Wait until you see the size. Are they. Oh, they are big. Do we need a picture?
Starting point is 00:36:24 Yeah, we need a picture. They're biggings. I'm looking for the article last night. I got so much going on. They must be from Japan. We need to get some goldfish bait and go up there. They're not sprinkles them on the water. They'll come.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Oh, yeah. They're not from Japan. They're from the circus. Catch them with a net. Not the circus. The fair. The fair. People are releasing their goldfish back.
Starting point is 00:36:48 into the wild which is dumb people yeah that's a bad thing bad thing if you're going to release him put a hook through him and catch whatever eats him don't just let him go so well yeah the internet just shut down well that's that's all of it we're just going to roll oh that's it boy the internet out but that's how all right let's go that's how that's how invasive species get started that's how you end up ruining your lakes your rivers so in Minnesota they've officially like asked everybody please stop putting your goldfish in the legs because they're they're infested and they're giant say that word again infestated that's not about infested whatever infested either one works i'm trying to get a picture look at it close to side oh boom look how big it was and now it's gone that's all that was
Starting point is 00:37:35 that was a video wow you're on the way wrong i feel like he's looking at me you're on a way wrong end of grammar if goblin's uh correcting you just oh oh oh there you're point oh up up up that's Part of him. That's a 20-pound goldfish. That's a carp. No, it's a goldfish. Well, goldfish is a carp. Yeah, they're in the same family.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Same family. And so now the city of Burnsville is tweeting to everybody, hey, quit. They need to have a goldfish rodeo. Hey, bow hunters. Go get them, boys. A goldfish rodeo? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Go get them. Can you explain that? Here's what I'm sure is in that lake. There is one fat and happy musky living in that lake. Oh, yeah. He's like, this can't be real. This is big, shiny fish swimming in here that I get to eat. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:21 But that's not, no, that's. I never lose my food. Don't do it, folks. Don't do it. Yeah, it's a brand practice. Yeah, don't do it. Next thing you know, you'll have carp jumping into your boat like we got down here. And it'll just about kill you and knock you out of the boat when you go down the thing.
Starting point is 00:38:35 Yep. All because somebody thought it'd be a good idea to grow cat food one day. So. Slimy. Really? Mississippi River getting out of its banks into a hatchery where they were trying to make cat food for cheap by growing them fish and killing them. It flooded out, cut the levee, carp ended up in the river, now they're everywhere. That's how them jumping things come to everywhere.
Starting point is 00:39:01 That's how they came. That was ground zero. Everywhere. High water boys. They are everywhere. I almost got taken out of one while I was on a kayak one time. That's terrible. It jumped over me.
Starting point is 00:39:10 I don't know how to change Jason's picture. I can't change anything about his childhood. If y'all want to add anything. You got anything you want to add to Jason's childhood that may or may not be true? No. We can cite you in the sources. No. Roberts in personal communication.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Apparently Jeff does got a hold of that picture, so I can't figure out of that show. Well, let's take our last break, and we'll finish up in that mail bag. We'll be back right after this. We're on. All right, Johnny D. What's up, Player? Hey, we're in your department today. I believe.
Starting point is 00:39:44 You're in your house today, JD. Hold on. I'm reading a brand new email. I got three minutes ago. People are really side with side on the scale that one could be the best, 10 could be the worst. Only at the end of the season if you're ranking them. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:00 So I'm going to burn through a couple real quick. They're going to burn them, boys. Sherry from Kingsport, Tennessee. Are you all serious about the Victoria's Secret repelling mosquitoes and what's the name of it again? Not mosquitoes. It works on Nats. Nats. Amber Romance.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Amber romance, boys. She literally put the words, are you serious in this email? And hey, yes, we're serious. And hey, animals will follow you to the deer stand. It works on them Gannats or if you call them noceums or whatever. And it works on them coons too. They'll follow you up in the tree. And then my man, Zach, sent an email in with the subject line, failed pickup line.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Zach, you got to go in with confidence, son. I tried Johnny D's pizza pickup line, and now I'm unfortunately eating pizza. so you still have that going for you. That's important to remember alone and watching the Duck Call Room podcast. Like I said, timing is that you got to make sure they know it's a joke, Zach. It's all about delivery.
Starting point is 00:40:57 It could come off as creepy. One side of his face is red. He's chewing on the other side. Here's what you got to remember. Here's what you got to remember about that. You said, now I'm eating pizza and watching the Duck Call Room podcast, that sounds like a pretty good day. Wow.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Yeah. There's nothing wrong with pizza. I also have a question that did you pre-buy the pizza? Because that could seem weird. Like, did you walk up with the pizza? You got a dough to get pizza. Yeah. Did you walk up and say, hey, do you want to eat pizza and make out?
Starting point is 00:41:33 That's probably not the best delivery. It can be creepy. Yeah, because that makes you seem like, we're about to take off with you. It's waiting on. It's at the house. That's what. Yeah. I tried to make sure.
Starting point is 00:41:44 that I was very... I'm going to listen to the duck call room. Yeah, I heard that one before. You go out and listen to the duck call room and eat a pizza. Yeah, it's delivery is key. Yeah, Zach, try it. And maybe not too strange. Hey, you want to watch the Duck Call podcast or you want to make out?
Starting point is 00:42:00 Or you want to eat pizza. Give her a mutual choice, it was. Something tells me her looking at us. I'm going to do him no favors of getting made out with. There you go. All right. Well, sorry, Zach. That ain't a good pickup line.
Starting point is 00:42:13 It's, you know, in the right hands. It worked for JD. It can be dangerous. All right. Paul from Kansas City, from Kansas City, Missouri. Good barbecue. From Missouri, boys.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Why is he from Missouri? He's from Kansas City. Pick aside, Kansas City. How about Dodd City? I just don't understand why you can have two of cities. You'll run out of the old Matt Dillon there. Because the airport's in Kansas. No?
Starting point is 00:42:39 Missouri. Everything's in Missouri. What's in Kansas City, Kansas? Interstate. Claim your city, Kansas. All right. And we got something we call a Missouri boat ride in Missouri.
Starting point is 00:42:49 All right. Paul, this is going to be controversial. Controversy. He needs advice. Controversy. He ran, he, I'm rubbing off on him. He ran into a situation. He didn't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:43:03 Uh-oh. Uh-oh. His son was selling candy bars for a fundraiser. Yep. Door to door. We came to a door where a lady Yep. That was around 500 pounds, answered the door.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Answer the door. Oh, bonus. Okay. She said to buy the whole case. You got to be feeling good. Yeah. Hey, you hit the jackpocket. We can go home after this conversation.
Starting point is 00:43:27 After I sell everything I've got to this woman, we can go to the house or we can stop by Johnny's pizza and I'm buying. Oh, we're going to give her a discount just to get rid of all of it. That's it. This is terrible. Maybe you have, this is your day. Okay, not only are we selling candy, we're selling it at a discount to you. That's right.
Starting point is 00:43:49 I was so nervous. Okay. Moving on. It gets better. She said, I don't want any. I'm on a diet. Good for her. So we started to walk away.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Then she said, hold it. Hold on. Hold on. She said, I changed my mind. said. I know what she said. I'll buy everything you got. I'll start tomorrow. I'll start my job tomorrow. She said today is reward day. So she said wait. Wait? I'll take 15. That was that that was almost a whole case. So the advice he's asking for,
Starting point is 00:44:36 Paul from Kansas City, Missouri, should we have sold them to her? Yeah. She ordered them. If you were there been a salesman, you'd have said, hey, darling. Get a show 24 of them. Fifteen ain't going to do it, baby. You got to buy, we ain't up or two and a half cases left. You got to get the whole.
Starting point is 00:44:58 You know, you got to buy all of it. Oh, my goodness. Get a discount. Get rid of it. We're selling it. Get rid of it. Remember when we used to go to them shows? Buy and bulk.
Starting point is 00:45:08 And the last day we saw whatever. You stop it, Sam's. So we wouldn't have to pack it up. Give it this can. You got a shop? You got by it by buck, boy. That was the funniest one I've read in a while, and I don't know if that's true. Oh, boy, said we knocked on the door.
Starting point is 00:45:24 That's right. Knocked on the door. But I knew, I knew Si would have had strong. I wish Willie would have been here because he's a huge fan. No pun intended of my 600 pound lives. She probably was on a diet. But because he only got 15. Because of the little boy.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Yeah, that's true. She was generous and said, I'll get some of them. And she'd give them to her grandkids. That's what happened. Okay. Now, I don't buy that story. But that's okay. She may have gave a couple of ways to her grandkids, but no, she ain't given it all that way.
Starting point is 00:46:00 Oh, my goodness. I would, no. I'd eat every stink of one of them. That's right. I ain't, never mind. I ain't. I'm saying, I don't. Look, as a guy who you.
Starting point is 00:46:11 used to weigh 320, I'm staying out of it. He's staying out of it. Them bar, chocolate bars, they're smaller than what we had to sell. They were big old blocks when we had, when we was selling them for a dollar. Yeah. Now they don't got long and thin. Willie Lachankeye graduated high school because of candy bars. Huh?
Starting point is 00:46:30 The CEO of Duckeye. Lachnott graduates for high school because of candy bars. Oh, he was sales for now. He sold. He was an entrepreneur, boys. When you see her, you double the, oh, okay. All right, next email from Eric L. This one was weird.
Starting point is 00:46:49 We went from fantastic to weird. We make his day way better, and it's questions for everyone. And he asked, what do we carry every day? What do we carry? And this man apparently has got cargo pants. He has a pocket knife, a multi-tool, a flashlight. Is he a cop? Are you in caves?
Starting point is 00:47:13 And he probably works on something. He just be able to see in the door. A flashlight, though. And a gun. And he wants to know what we are. Oh, he's a cop. Are we sure? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:24 I mean, that's the only thing that makes it. Pocket knife, multi-tool flashlight. Yeah. He's a cop. And a pistol. I carry my phone wallet keys. Now, during, yeah, I quit carrying a pocket knife because I got tired of leaving him at the Monroe Airport.
Starting point is 00:47:37 That's right. They got a lot of. They've got a lot of. They've got a lot of knives. I mean good ones, good ones too. They almost got Curley's gun. So I quit. We fly so much that I just quit carrying a pocket knife.
Starting point is 00:47:49 I got one nearby. I leave them in my truck. Like I can go get it that fast. But yeah, wallet keys. Phone wallet keys? Yeah, I mean, that's pretty well. I fixed that. Hey, I got a visa.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Crossbow. Everything else is in my truck at a pretty handy spot. I mean, there is a multi-tool in there. there's a stream light flashlight in there there's a floor jack in there i've actually got a claw hammer in mine it's like a in your pocket and no in the door in the door yeah i should check that i should check the air on his tires he can walk by and pop him one no it's just in case somebody gets wild you can do some damage they put the car hey you can do some damage with claw i was trying to give you the benefit oh no no it hurts you that hey that and the usually when i'm out now uncle
Starting point is 00:48:40 Out, okay, especially at night or early morning. I've also got a pistol. But Uncle C also carries a gallon of tea and a cup with him everywhere. And Philip McMillan to go get him out. And look, I saw some people in our comments that were very concerned about Si. They watched an old episode of Duck Dynasty, and he had an orange tea glass, not his trademark blue-green one. Sy, tell me how many colors of Tupperware tea glasses you got? A bunch.
Starting point is 00:49:09 I've got about three cabinets above the stove. Yeah. Okay. Because like when this started running, okay, everybody they would say, hey, I had an aunt died the other day, and we went through her attic and found these 40 coupleware tups, and we said we know somebody can use.
