Starting point is 00:00:06 Just, hey, Si, when you want the bell, give me this and I'll do it for you. See if that feels as good. Go ahead. Try it, try it. No. Say, try it. No. No.
Starting point is 00:00:16 Try it. No. What's wrong with you? Hey, there is something wrong with this picture right now. Si, I do like this. Okay, there is some unscrupulous. Unscruped? Yeah, Kay would call it unscrupulous rascal.
Starting point is 00:00:34 has abscounded with something that does not belong to him. Johnny D. I don't know any names right now in a mansion, but something is missing from this room that is very important. Look under Johnny D's beard. What are you looking for? I legitimately, I just had a meeting at the church. What goes with this right here?
Starting point is 00:00:58 Insert to a Duk Commander Classic Duckaw. No. DC 200. This is you. as a file so it's used to... Elephant tusk. No, it's used to... Horses hooves.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Hit something. Well, you keep hitting and you're turning the TV off. And that something is gone. Oh, you're missing. Oh, your bell's gone. Yeah. Praise God. Yes.
Starting point is 00:01:20 I didn't take it. Bing! I still glad I... Hey, anybody be glad I ain't own this company. Guess what? That you don't... Just want to come up. Huh?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Yeah. Somebody would get fired. For moving your bell? Yeah. It was probably just the cleaning people. Yep, that's it. Human resources. Hey, they didn't move much.
Starting point is 00:01:41 They didn't clean much if it was cleaning people. They clean your bail out time. They cleaned the bell out. They cleaned the headphones with the vacuum cleaner one time. I told them there was an annoying noise. A unscrupulous rascal. Silent got on fire, boys. And did you learn a new word?
Starting point is 00:01:58 Unscruptupe. I can't even spell that. Having a showing no moral principles. Unscrupulous. That's it. Unscrupulous. Hey, there you go. Whoever? What do morals have to do with your bell?
Starting point is 00:02:09 Thievery, I believe. He's mad about it. Let's take a poll of the listeners. Do y'all like the bell or do you not? We should put that on Instagram. No, let's take a poll and ask this question. Do you think I really give a flip? Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Okay. I know that answer. I need to have something to release my frustrations on. Flustration. Okay. And the bell was it. I got to be honest with you. Before he had the bill.
Starting point is 00:02:34 bell it was me. That's right. It was JD. That's right. Well, run it back. Well, I'm trying to repent. I'm trying to do all right here, boys. Take that file.
Starting point is 00:02:42 I've got issues and I've got to work out. I've been hanging out with stone. I can punch people now. There you go, look. I do. I do want to do a poll. Do they like the bell or not?
Starting point is 00:02:55 Can we do that on our Instagram? Absolutely. So go to the duck call. What's our Instagram? Duck call room? With or without the bell? Duck call room, Instagram. Go to the stories.
Starting point is 00:03:04 I'm making somebody do work right now. If you vote without, I'll put you in a drawing for a free duck call. And anyway, no, I'm kidding. I'll send you something else. And there will be a poll that says, should we give Cy his bell back? Yes or no. We'll let the people decide.
Starting point is 00:03:22 And the next poll will be, do you think Cy gives a rip? What is it? Well, that's it. Hey, Cy said he'd lucky that we don't, that he don't run this company. He don't even work for this company. That is a good point because it wouldn't have made it this long.
Starting point is 00:03:34 I don't work for this company. I ain't even on the payroll anymore. He's talking about a good thing. I don't run this place. Unbelievable. Did you have? It's changed a lot, Martin. It has changed a lot.
Starting point is 00:03:44 It has a duck call room. For the better. Well, I'm not sure about that. Huh? That's debatable. You'd think it'd be better if you would have been? No, I'm, no. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Trust me. I was like, let's debate. No, I am not, business minded. No one I couldn't be, I couldn't put up with the BS. Okay. Number two, he can't even. get his mouth closer to the microphone.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Unscrupulous. Hey, I'm right on top of it for crying out loud. That's the business situation. He couldn't keep up with the business situation. Business, boy. That business. When you deal with the public,
Starting point is 00:04:18 you deal with... No, no, you're daily. Let me finish. You're dealing with... I just got in trouble. Just way too many headaches. Okay. We do get some people... Because our human race is
Starting point is 00:04:30 one messed up. Back on this. I don't even have a name. for it. So I got that disgusted look on his face. Unfortunately, I'm one of them, okay? That's the bad part. I belong to this society that I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:04:46 Johnny D. is a little nervous today. I'm super nervous. You need the bell. Look, I do want to take this moment, though. Some viewers from one of our podcasts pointed out that it was not Jace that called us the kids' podcast. So, Jase, I apologize. I'm a man.
Starting point is 00:05:02 I can admit when I'm wrong. Sorry. I apologize. And I bet you I can guess who actually said it. Go for it. Go for it. No. No, Phil doesn't care.
Starting point is 00:05:12 No, there's one in this family with the RR family. The instigator? Yeah, he's the instigator. He has always been in that position. Okay, and that would be Mr. Allen Robertson. That's what I heard. The preacher did it. Yeah, how's that?
Starting point is 00:05:29 Now that story checks out. The preacher. Well, hey, flip Winston, you say the devil made him do it. I don't know what Al was going to say made him do it. Well. But he's the instigator. But I don't mind be calling the kids.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Yeah. Okay. Once again, you've been 14. I've been 14. For 80 years. The man who's known to the free world is beardless bro. He grows a beard every winter for some reason. I don't really get it.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And it really don't fit him. I agree. No, Al should never grow up. Al should never grow up. What did you just say? What did you say? Say it again. Say it.
Starting point is 00:06:06 All right, I'm not one to make fun of a man's wardrobe. Unless it's Al. Because he's been wearing vests for like four years now. Yeah, I don't get it. And it doesn't make him look thin. There it is. I'll have to hit it. Hey, I'll have to hit it like my wife, though.
Starting point is 00:06:22 She hadn't seen her for a while. I remember there's some meal, and we were sitting down the table. She said, Al. We went to Doe's Steakhouse. Yeah. Said, Al, I haven't seen you. He said, but boy, are you getting a little? even fat.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Thank you, Christine. And I'll say, well, it's nothing like a, I ain't of mine just to tell it like it is, boy. That's close. I mean, you know, if the shoot fits. We've never been, you know, what's the word I'm looking for? Nice. No.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Smart. Cuth. No. Understandable, patient. Polite. I can't, yeah, okay. Dishonest. Polite is part of it, but I, no.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Yeah. We always tell. That's a fun. We always tell it like it is. No, well, Al, though, I'm jealous of Al. Because Al fluctuates weight a little bit, kind of like myself. But when I gain weight, it is all in a pot-belly-pig-type fashion. All you got to do is Nutra System.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Ow gets it up there in them jails. Al gives weight in his fingers, in his cheeks, and his shoulders, and his toes. Hey, you know, it's like somebody put a straw on him away. And he tries to hide it with a vest with vertical stripes. Vest. Big and the best. Because horizontal stripes make you look broader. Somebody's making a lot of money off those best.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Are we going to get it when he sees this one? Oh, that's fine. I got good news. The only way he's going to find out is if our listeners go on. It might take him a while. Let me tell you what Al did. Well, here's what's weird. Al does fight dirty.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Oh, he's fight dirty now. The dirtiest. Hey, I don't like a hell. He's going to never forget, boys. So, Johnny D, let me tell you something what Al did. When he decided he was going to get thin, he... Which time? Thank you, Martin.
Starting point is 00:08:14 And the House of Pains in Al's yard. They live very close to each other. Adjacent to it. Never mind. So Al gives away all of his clothes. He says, Phil, it's like pulling up on the shores and burning the boats. He said, I ain't ever going back. He ain't going back, boys.
Starting point is 00:08:30 That's why he got on the best. Six months later. I see him standing in line of the vest cell. He's like, I said, what's up, Al? Phil, you know how it is. He actually looks good in a vest. That's like saying somebody looks good with a mustache. That's coming from side of them.
Starting point is 00:08:48 He looks good in a vest. The only vest that should be worn or made of Kevlar. Vest or a trick plate. Why are you going to wear a jacket with no sleeves? Either wear a shirt or wear a jacket. There's no reason to be confused. He likes a vest. best, best.
Starting point is 00:09:04 But look at them jails. Being at the jails. Go back to the jails. Go back, go back. Oh, look, there's a few people I don't make fun of. And Al's up on that list. Well, I'm just telling you. Al will get you.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Al fight dirty and he's always got a microphone. That's a problem with him. Yeah, you got to watch out for the priest. That's the real. Well, I'm just telling you, okay. All this was is, hey, don't call us the boy. You know my favorite part with Al, though. I didn't mind it, but y'all had they did.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Al will get you back, but here's what I'll say about it. But here's what I'll say about him. He gets as good as he gives. That's true. He will laugh about this and have so much fun with it. And that's why we can do it. And then he'll have a top 10 list about why we're the kids. He's going to go, he's going to go scrolling through my social.
Starting point is 00:09:53 You won't talk about some jowls, son, about eight years ago. I looked like I got stung in the face by some of size, famous bumbo bees. Bombo. He'll probably record me. died in the house of pain but i'll wear it so you know what i'm like yeah i don't deny so anyway let's take our first break thank you al we love you al for the first 10 minutes we appreciate you i hope we preach you sunday because this to get him it's get him like a he ain't going to watch this before sunday and you're on the first time just squealing the tires all right we'll be back right
Starting point is 00:10:24 all right look springtime is here it's warming up you know what that means that means more outside cook and y'all know we love to eat beef around here and that's what because of our friends over at try tell's beef makes such a good product baby ain't it good it's so good it's our friend sall robertson would say buy on the grill look before we got tritels getting ready for a cookout man somebody had to run the grocery store do all the things grab whatever was left in case you were late in the day and you never really know where that beef come to them but with tritels beef we skip the grocery store and do it a different way. Triedails comes from a family ranch out in Texas.
Starting point is 00:11:05 They're a fifth generation American ranch, so they've been at it for a while. Now, look, the beef comes straight from their ranch and other ranchers they work with who raise cattle the same way. Their steaks are properly aged and shipped straight from the ranch to your door. We threw a couple of ribbys on the grill. Look, salt, pepper, garlic, hot fire, that's all you need. Look, because I'll tell you what,
Starting point is 00:11:25 when the beef comes from people who raise cattle for a living, you can taste the difference, the tenderness and the flavor are fantastic. So if you're stocking the freezer for grilling season, go check out Tritails Beef. I know in size case Christine loves it, which is just a, she doesn't eat meat. She ain't a big meat easier, folks.
Starting point is 00:11:43 Yeah. Just go to trybeef.com slash. That's trybeef.com slash support ranch families and eat some dang good steak. Boy, Al is going to take the gloves off. Anyway, what? I'll say this, though. I'd rather look like Al in a vest than Jace when he shaved his face. Oh, right?
Starting point is 00:12:02 Should we stop before? Straight out of Dallas Buyers Club? Oh, no, they don't even know who Jace is once he shapes. He looked like he just got out of like a rehabilitation center. Yeah, it's bad. Does he not eat? He's very thin. Well, he probably ain't eating now because he doesn't caught and kept all of Willie's Crappies.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Very true. They're hard to catch now. It's because they're not there. He caught them all. He caught them all. What do you think I caught them all? what about you Phil I'm going to send you a picture of Jace
Starting point is 00:12:33 oh I was wondering what you were doing over there I thought you might be work because Phil is the only one of us with a regular job doing great things I thought you might be on the job over there but he's just he's one of those people that had to deal with the public I deal with the public
Starting point is 00:12:49 some I have to deal with the duck commander complaint box you people are weird I everybody's got a right to a complaint I don't know why people Why do people complain? I don't know. The squeaky wheel gets the all.
Starting point is 00:13:05 When I see something I don't like, I just get away from it. Is that what that means? Squeaky wheel gets the grease, yeah. Y'all said it last podcast and I didn't get it. Yeah, squeaks. And I was going to look it up, but I forgot. You go grease him. If the wheel ain't making no sound, you don't pay no attention to it.
Starting point is 00:13:18 He gets to squeaking. You pay attention to it. Oh, so that's what annoying people get what they want. They don't necessarily. They get attention. They get hurt. They get attention. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:28 They don't necessarily get with it. If they want, they get hurt. But sometimes even negative attention is attention. Oh, no, long as it's attention. No such thing as bad press, right? No bad press. Well, hey, did you send me a picture? No, I'll send it to you later.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Oh, hey, that's an all fair way. I don't want to get in trouble with Jason. He don't get in trouble, boy. Again. Let's say it. Show it to me. You ain't got to send it to. Is he naked?
Starting point is 00:13:52 No. I would hope not. I'm just making sure. That's my Bert Reynolds laugh. Why are you looking at me like that? What's wrong with you? Sy's missing something today. Is it up here?
Starting point is 00:14:07 Seriously, though, what did happen to? I have no idea. He didn't hear it. I know. He ain't heard it. No, I ain't heard it. I can't hear nothing but he's air muffled on. Why?
Starting point is 00:14:18 What did y'all talk about? Oh. Are you the culprit? I blame the wrong one. Who did you blame? I blame Stone. He actually got up and said, I got to do something, and he come over here, and I grabbed it and hit it.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I thought it was Mr. Stone, that it was the unscrupulous restful. We're talking about limiting your bell strikes to five per shows, I. Well, we'll know once we get the Instagram poll back. My precious. What happened to the yellow bell? I wish I had a rotten tomato. The problem is I'm surrounded by people that like to bang on the bills.
Starting point is 00:14:55 I wish I had a rotten tomato right now. I'd throw it right. Yeah, I've seen you through. And hope. He's getting ready. I feel like this could be a painful episode. We need a helmet. Do you need this bell?
Starting point is 00:15:09 Is it that big of a security blanket? How many time? Throw it over here. Hey. He said, Throw it over here. The man has carried a cup around for 70 years. Throw it.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Throw to JD because it'll probably bust my glasses. Here's what I take. The radio. How hard are you going to throw this? I'll give it to you after the next break. Let me hold it. If you can contain yourself for the next four minutes. No, because.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Look, you don't understand. I'm like, who is it? Linus in the blanket. I need to hug my bell. I thought that was your tea. Yeah, I thought that's what the tea glass was for. No. It's the bell?
Starting point is 00:15:45 Hello, my little bell. I got to be honest. Look, I'm still having withdrawals, Christine. Through my 12 bungal bells away. We do need this man to make this podcast. We need this man in tip-top shape. That's right. So if he needs the bell.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Hey. But think about that bell like road rage. We're helping you beat it. No, you're not. You're taking. Say, you don't want this. Hey, Linus's blanket. He's always got to have it.
Starting point is 00:16:11 That bell is the same thing. It's a, what do we tell about confidence? You ought to be a mean. Comfort. Can you do me a favor? What? I give you the bell back if you get rid of the file. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Now, that's a good deal. Hey, no, no, no, it's not because, hey, look, I've tried all these things. The finger is too soft. It makes a little bean. What about the wood? Hey, the wood is too soft because it's dead. It, it, don't. This has got a special ring to it, metal on metal.
Starting point is 00:16:38 I'm trying to teach you a lesson in negotiation. You always negotiate from a position of power. I've got the bell. You could use the silver. Hey, so you're saying you're in power. Yeah, do you want the bell? He ain't going to negotiate. I wish I had a rotten tomato.
Starting point is 00:16:54 I got a man. And I could hit him right in the face. Here's you a silver coin to throw at him. See, Phil, that's a little. fun, ain't it? But you didn't do it with a file. It's respectful. Wasn't even painful to our ears.
Starting point is 00:17:04 And you can't even hear it. Okay, if you've got this on. Okay. I can hear it. I'm like Al. I'm like Al. Hey, I'm like an elephant. I ain't going to forget.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I will get even like Al. Now I've got to just start my, I've got to reverse roles. I'm such a good, mild-mannered person. Now I've got to go, like they said, in the movies. is Luke, come to the dark side. If you're going to do that, it's going to be on unashamed. Yeah, that's the dark side.
Starting point is 00:17:36 They need a bell. Oh, boy, Al's going to get you. I can't wait for this. I'm kidding. Get him out, sick him. I'm kidding. But look, I will say, if you're on there next time,
Starting point is 00:17:48 you need to take the bell with you. Oh, no. I've never been invited. No, my brother would actually grab me by the scuff of the neck and boost me out to the layer. Oh, they are? Yeah, there's a few people that don't stand for bells.
Starting point is 00:18:00 Yeah, he don't stand for Bell. He's no nonsense. Well, every time you hit it, you need to just go ding. No. I would like to see Cy with that Bell on Phil's podcast. You're driving me. Y'all have never been on Fields' pot. Y'all've never been on Unashamed.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Yeah, we don't get invited. I was on ours, though, whenever we were sick. Stone went over. That was a good episode. Stone's been there. God's one's been there. So it's just us three that they're not. Oh, yeah, we got we.
Starting point is 00:18:27 We are the kids. Y'all didn't make the cut. Yeah, we got weeded out. I'm used to it. You don't even get to hunt with them. Not allowed. I'm just not invited most days. He's done the unmistakable thing.
Starting point is 00:18:38 I've seen you hit it, but I didn't hear it. I'm probably going to say no. Do you have like high frequency hearing loss or something? Yeah, because the shotgun. No, no, wonder you hit it's a damn heart because you ain't hearing it anyway. No, no, yeah, I do. But it's muffled bad with ease, okay? That's why every once I had to take it off and just hit it about three or four times just to see the sound.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Just to make sure it's too. Well, no, no, just to check the tone. Just to check the tone. Just so he can feel up. Well, you got to understand. If you're in a M-60 tank and then some idiot comes up there with a two-pound sledgehammer and starts banging on it when you're inside it. Did that happen?
Starting point is 00:19:14 This is solid. Oh, yeah. Often? Oh, yeah. Yeah, about every day. Why? Because he could. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:19:20 You were in a tank? Yeah. I thought you were just a supply runner. Well, at one time, I run a service section, and we welded. when I was on Fort Knox, Kentucky, where they keep all the go, supposedly. You were there? Yeah, I was stationed there. And we actually was welding tanks and then loaded them on flat cars on a railroad,
Starting point is 00:19:41 then shipping them out. Really? But before we done it, we'd always race them. You would race the tanks? Oh, yeah, tanks and M113 personnel carriers. How am I just not hearing this story? Well, you guys erase tanks? And the general called us, okay, unbeknown to us.
Starting point is 00:19:58 This, yo, these things have got rubber pads on their tracks. Wait, you've raced this thing? Oh, yeah. M1-13? Oh, yeah. Yeah, we lined up and had a guy out there with a flag. Size is the coolest person I know, and I've always known that. Look.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Oh, this one here is good because, hey. Hold on. It was actually, okay, when you was revving it up before you let. I'm pulling up a photo. Hey. This thing would try to stand up like a cobra. You race that thing Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:20:29 Look and look When you were riveted it up It was standing up like a cobra And then when the guy dropped the flag Well look The general's flying over our parking lot This is a concrete parking lot Where all these things are parked
Starting point is 00:20:43 Huge okay Well they're just like in airports For the jets come in and land And the first when the wheels hit They leave a black mark Well when you spin them tracks They leave black mark. You were peeling out in tanks?
Starting point is 00:20:59 Oh, yeah. I didn't know a tank could leave a skid mark. Oh, what you're doing out? Hey, them things, hey, that them things are powerful. How fast would that go? Huh? Well, the M1 Abrams runs, I think, what, 70 or maybe even 80. What?
Starting point is 00:21:15 Look, that's combat loaded, okay, because the M1Abram's combat loaded weighs 60 tons. M1A. That's fantastic. and run 70 mile 90. Now that's a tank. And they can hit whatever they're aiming at running 70. Now look, here's the deal. If I'd have known this was the kind of stories we was going to get without the bell,
Starting point is 00:21:37 I'd have taken that thing long ago. Did you have a bell? You ain't ever getting it back. Did you have a bell in the tank? You were racing that guy? Yeah. And this guy? No, we had tanks.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Tanks and then. Side by side. The person, you know, two tanks lined up, got a guy in the middle, with the flag. With the same tank. That is the coolest thing I've ever heard. We just, it's got it just mighty a red line, okay? It's wha-on-this-ha- And you were the driver?
Starting point is 00:22:08 Oh, yeah. See, it all makes sense now. So anyway, the general way happened to fly over. Because look, we're working seven days a week, 18 hours a day, because we've got to get all these things fixed and shit out. Napping two of those, though, napping two. Okay, yeah. So we're working 18 hours a day, seven days a week, so we needed a little...
Starting point is 00:22:29 You needed some fun. R&R. Yeah, R&R. He needed a release. And unbeyond to us, he found around checking out his, you know, fort. That's fantastic. Okay. And he called us.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Wait. So what happened to y'all? The story is you race tank. We got a good butt you in. Hey, don't be racing the equipment. And this was at Fort Knox. Yeah. Fort Knox.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Yeah. Well, the goal is kept supposedly. Let me tell you why this is making sense to me. I never heard that story. But now I know why when he got in that monster truck, he just floored. Well, I, nothing to it. Well, no, no, you got to understand, okay?
Starting point is 00:23:09 If you get into something that's got like a little ago, and he said he had the power because he's got my bell. Okay. Yeah, I heard that time, see. Okay. I actually, yeah. But anyway, that's him a heart. Give him his bell back.
Starting point is 00:23:27 That was my- That was my- good if I could have caressed it a little bit with my hand. No, you get it. Oh. Hey, here, here. He's, it's my time.
Starting point is 00:23:37 Don't make me hit you. Welcome back. Send us out with a bell, side. Is this? One, two, three. We'll be back right after this. Oh, I got to go. Are we on break?
Starting point is 00:23:52 Yeah. No, no, no, we're not. Hey, and we're back early. Everybody, we never stop. But anyway, I may have told this before. Probably. I was working and look, I'm going to work, okay, and I get behind a man that's got a brand new, 1969 Puk Green, Dodge Charger.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And you're in a tank? No. Johnny D. I'm in Daddy's car, Plymouth. No, I know this one. But this one's good. I don't pull that car up. No, no.
Starting point is 00:24:23 What was the car? What was the car? 1969, Pute Green. Dodge Charger. Dodge Charger. Then the other boy on the other side of the road was driving a brand new 1969, new 88 Osmobile, Brands, Franklin, New. So they're running, okay?
Starting point is 00:24:43 I'm behind him, and Daddy's car driving 90. What are you driving the station wagon? Plymouth, no. The Falcon? No. You're the Plymouth. Just the Plymouth. Is that one of them, size?
Starting point is 00:24:54 That's him. Okay, but look, anyway, this boy had sent that car to, California, okay, and was without it for six months. So whatever you can do to a car has been done to the one he was driving. So look, I'm behind them. Where were you? Vivian. No, no.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Gosh. Bozier. Streetport. No. Arkansas. Texas. This side of the Arkansas line. What's that little?
Starting point is 00:25:22 Junction City? No. Bernice. Bernice. Anyway, somewhere up there. I got you. Oh. On 167.
Starting point is 00:25:29 I was working in the particle board factory. I got you. But anyway, I'm going to work. I'm behind these two clowns. They're racing. Okay. I'm running 90. They're doing 100,
Starting point is 00:25:40 and the guy in the green charger does this. He waved to you? He's waving? No, no. He's waving to the guy in the old mobile 88 going 100 miles down now. You're going 100? No, no. I'm doing 90.
Starting point is 00:25:54 I'm behind them. And look, he done this to that guy and stomped it. and I hear, you know, and I'm saying, no, no, no, no, no, no, this can't be happening. He barked them before.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Wait, wait. What did you hear? I heard. So I said, this can't be happening. They're running a hundred mile and a night. So they go on down the head of me, disappear,
Starting point is 00:26:13 you know, and I come driving in the park lot and get out and they walk in them, we walk in together, and I said, I got a question asked you. And he's what? I said,
Starting point is 00:26:22 when you waved it, what's your name there and stomped it, I thought I heard Burnt, rubber. And he said, you did. And I said, wait a minute, you can't burn rubber at 100 miles an hour. There's no way. And he said, well, here's what you do when you get off tonight, you know, or, you know, today, and go back, you know, stop, look at it. He said, it'll probably
Starting point is 00:26:45 be about all 12 to 18 inches strip on each side of the highway. So look, I get off and I do. It took me about three stops to find the exact spot. I walk out there the first time. Nope, I need it. A little further up. Nope, an idiot. A little further up. Oh, there you is. Now, I'm looking at two strips of burnt rubber about 18 inches long.
Starting point is 00:27:09 And I'm saying, wait a minute. There's no way you can spin tires going a hundred miles an hour. No way. Can you John anything? If you're bow or Luke Duke. I don't think you can, but I'm looking at the evidence, okay. And the guy said, well, look. He had two stainless steel post about, oh, two inches in diameter,
Starting point is 00:27:34 sticking through his hood, okay, and he had what I call railroad locks, okay, and they were an inch big around through them stainless steel poles. And the only thing he ever done, he would race anybody driving anything for pink slips. Title for title. This happened. Title for title. And look, and every other week or so, he comes walking in and puts it on the bulletin board.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Hey, I got a brand new Porsche out here to sell, and it's like $15,000 off of the factory price. This whole story happened in Hazard County, Georgia. It ain't nothing fine than driving a brand new car. It's a hot rod. Now you pull up to the red light, and there's eight batteries in the car sitting beside you. You don't even know what's on.
Starting point is 00:28:25 You can't even. You're walking down the sidewalk You can't take it out Because you didn't hear it coming That's exactly right More animals have been hit by those silent cars It means the battery is gone dead or something Yeah
Starting point is 00:28:36 Muscle cars boys Yeah I like those better So Sa's wife tells me that Si had a car This is the story that Christine tells She said they never passed a gas station They had to stop every time I said it got that bad gas mileage
Starting point is 00:28:52 She said no he had to stop for oil No no look He had to stop for oil and to take a look. No, no, no, no. I'd pull in, okay. This is an excuse. And this was when we got married in Massachusetts and I'm heading home to Louisiana.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Yeah, newly wed. You know, and I'm driving at Plymouth Fury. No, that's why they stop. Canary yellow. Okay, so I pull in and it's wintertime. Just take a sign of a canary yellow car. I want to see it, Johnny. Hold on, it was a fine looking car.
Starting point is 00:29:22 Plymouth. But anyway, I pulled in the gas station, the guy, this was one of them good gas stations. They called it the greatest generation. And I said, yeah, I said, what's the thickest? Motor oil. Motor oil you got. And he said, well, we got this here, yo, 40.
Starting point is 00:29:38 I said, no. I said, I looked over as soon STP. Well, you drove that? No, mine was better looking than that. How is it better looking at that? No, no, mine was slicker and finer looking than that. But it had the big fins on the back? Oh, no, that thing on the side.
Starting point is 00:29:54 That wasn't on mine. Oh. That thing's cool as crap. Oh, that mine looked twice. Get us another one, Gene. Google yourself. Plymouth Fury Yellow. But anyway, they had some STP, and this is like glue.
Starting point is 00:30:07 So it's like Phil's coffee. Yeah. Yeah. So look. You know, I said, how much this can? It's like this and about that big rent. There's a sign on the ad right there. Yeah, it is.
Starting point is 00:30:19 That's Christine. I don't remember what he said. I think, like $3. I said, well, I may just throw it away. I'll pay for it. So I just pop that like that and done it like this. Like honey. Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:32 And it just... Malasses in the wintertime. It's just a glove hanging out the end of it. I said, give me five of them. And then a quarter wall. And the guy said, what are you? I said, iron corks in. You know, it took us 30 minutes to put it in.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Y'all was in a quarter wall. And I'll check it on it? Yeah, it's good. Hey, that way, I run about 400 miles. on that little deal. Look, this thing. Never had oil change. It burned it too many.
Starting point is 00:31:02 No, no. Hey, you know the, on the distributor. Yeah. It's got a little cam thing that hits and it's like a hexagon. Yeah. To make it open, open and close the points. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Well, that burned off. So my point. He gone. No, no, yeah. My point's never open and close. They's always open. No, no, look, and that sucker would squall the tires off of us. I'm talking about that thing was run.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Ah. That was back in the good old age, boy. And your truck is like that now. Right. Hey, that's it, boy, that baby was a little camera. That made me a run too, like a scalded apie. Amen. Well, let's take another break.
Starting point is 00:31:38 We'll be back right after this. Like a silverback gorilla. We're back. Oh, are we? Welcome back. We're back. Welcome back to the duck call room. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:31:53 Good news. Good news. I don't have any good news. Nobody's sending any in. What? But. my friend let me click here and then click
Starting point is 00:32:02 here and then click this my friend uh Lloyd Christmas no regular Lloyd has he said here's something fun to discuss on the podcast oh boy spider goats
Starting point is 00:32:16 that like a spider monkey spider goats or spider goats pull it up Jadine you'd have to show me a picture of a spider goat well why they call it spider goat because they bred it with spider DNA like spider man but a goat see it's just a goat but when they milk it spider webs come out oh no or something to that effect what hey time out
Starting point is 00:32:46 what website no no no inquire dot com BBC the guardian and fizz.org which I think's physics I think you found that on Twilight Zone. Scientists breed goats that produce spider silk. That's the word. Fizz.org. That's science. That's so weird that this is, because, hey, the other day we was in the duck blind,
Starting point is 00:33:13 we was talking about spider and their ability to shoot silk out their rear end. Well, now. And it's one of the strongest things. So now these people have. altered a goat's DNA so they can produce the silk because it's one of the strongest things yeah so now you can milk a goat and get that spider web stuff sigh what comes out of your rear end no that is so strange horse shoes hey it ain't
Starting point is 00:33:47 hey body waste this one comes out okay his rear end what if I milk what if I milked you horse cheese do you have nipples no I can milk you. What? Okay. No. So where? I don't produce milk.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Where are you going with this? Right. You've got to go to the female side of the house for the milk, okay? I don't know that I feel comfortable with spider goats. It creeps me. I mean. Because the next thing you know, hey, they'll be bouncing off the walls in New York City. I mean.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Swinging through the hood, boys. Spider-man. Just time out. We need to let Martin know his biology more. than anyone in this room. No, I'm going to talk about human nature here for a second. We got diseases running rampant around this world. Yep.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Not just that nasty C word we're all familiar with. Yeah. But there's another nasty C word, cancer. I mean, there's all kinds of things. Yep, medical. And we got some hands up in Wyoming. Some hands. I saw it.
Starting point is 00:34:54 I read it there on the TV. Yeah, there in Wyoming. On the pictures. And we got some. Wyoming. Look, and I love the state of Wyoming. Go there every year. He hunts. Fantastic. Love the place. Love the people. Why in the world are we using goats to produce spiders silk? Because the spiders aren't big enough.
Starting point is 00:35:13 And? We need more of the silk. For what? Fun. I mean, they need to come to a pit blind in Louisiana in late January when it warms up that week and watch all the baby spiders floating on a breeze starting there on a little. life. There's plenty of it floating around in. Well, maybe they, uh... I mean, this is for real, for real?
Starting point is 00:35:34 They keep making Spider-Man movies. Maybe they're running out of the stuff. I mean, this is for real, for real. They are. Now, I do. According to Lloyd. We was talking about it in the duck blind. Okay. Well, I know it's strong.
Starting point is 00:35:46 Yeah. I'm not down. I've walked face first into a many of them. I know how strong that mess in. Yeah. And then you start that shuffle. Where is he? Where is he?
Starting point is 00:35:54 Oh, yeah. Where is he? Yeah, I don't got into start. Yeah. Where's the spider? Yeah. You're looking for that eight-legged rascals. And you can't, but you can't,
Starting point is 00:36:02 you can't farm spiders. They're too cannibalistic. That's a quote from the doctor. Yeah. Oh, they are. The trouble is he can't fire on the spiders. Okay, I know what they're doing. The research is being done.
Starting point is 00:36:16 Is it just to prove that it can be done? What? The goat's name is freckles. Freckles. Well, if freckles starts shooting that stuff out of his mouth and jumping from building to build we're in trouble. Goater, man.
Starting point is 00:36:29 Because everybody knows a goat will eat anything. That's true. That's true. That's true. The killer goats. They'll be putting their webs up, catching stuff and eating.
Starting point is 00:36:39 So there's a spider goat. That you milk him and it actually gets spiderweb out of his nipples. Well, I'm just saying, please cut that out and put that on Instagram. I think on him they're called teets. Well, I think on her. Well, nipple.
Starting point is 00:36:57 True. There's no reason to grow cotton anymore. Bulletproof viz. Everything will be silk. Spider silk from goats. Spider silk from goats. I don't think it's, we got to draw a line somewhere. Things that make you go.
Starting point is 00:37:11 That's the news I got from Lloyd. That's the news you got from Lloyd. Hello at Duck Call Room email inbox. You've heard it here? You've heard it here. With this one, I got way more questions than I got answers. Way more. University of Wyoming, let's talk.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Hollar at it. Hey, yeah, come on down. Hollar at your boy. Bring your spider goat too. Holler at you boy, I actually own a University of Wyoming hoodie. Do you? Yeah, I bought it in the airport. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Go cowboys. Yeah, they're the cowboys. They're brown and yellow. I guess. Yeah, no, they really are the Cowboys. Kallel. That's where your boy came from, right? Who?
Starting point is 00:37:51 Isn't that where Josh Allen's from? Wasn't he, Wyoming? Josh Allen? For the bills? Didn't he come from? He's a Wyoming grad. I wonder if he's ever seen a spider goat. I wonder if he's financing it.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Lord knows he makes enough money now. He makes good cash. Yeah, he's from the University of Wyoming. That's what I thought. Yeah, they're the Cowboys. I had the little baby tap on the spider goats. That means moving along. Yeah, I think it's time for a break.
Starting point is 00:38:15 And normal emails. While I still ponder, what the heck is the purpose of a spider goat? It's spider goat and spider goat. and it does whatever the spider goat does. Hey. Hey. Hey. Well, we're back.
Starting point is 00:38:35 The man section. Hello at duck callroom.com is the inbox. Johnny D. What you got up in there? I kid you not. I got these two emails within, one was at 8.39 this morning and one was at 11 o'clock. So within two hours of each of them.
Starting point is 00:38:53 As long as they ain't got nothing to do with spiders or goat. That's true. Mm-oh. No spiders. Thank you. Okay, goats are back. Goats are not back, but close to spiders. My man here was cleaning up from Hurricane Ida.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Jeremy sent this in. Where's he from? Show it to us. Hold on. Oh, no. I'm trying to see where he's from. Last Sunday, they're trimming up trees, and they found the yellow jackets. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:39:24 He's running around, taking off all of his clothes, trying to get him out. Because we've told this story. Been there. And he ended up in the ER. I ain't been there. Yep. Hold on. There he is.
Starting point is 00:39:38 There's my man in the ER. Is he swore like Al? Nope, he's not swore like Al, but he broke his wrist and shattered his elbow. Ooh, from running? He fell. He's not very athletic. While running. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:39:51 So there's one story I got from a fan. So, buddy, we're hoping you get better. And then Shebby from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Shebby? Sent me one of her husband's trimming trees in the tractor bucket. They got the bucket up high. Oh, this is not good. Nope.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Oh, this is not good. And he found, let's see, I want to get the species right. Hornet. As how would, so I would call it, Bumbo bees. Oh, well, later it says hornets. Oh, hornet. Oh, hornet. And they're worse than bumblebees.
Starting point is 00:40:25 The Bournice ain't got no quid in him. His way of getting out of the hornet's nest? Jump. Jump. Good grief. And he jumped down. She didn't say what his name was. What did he broke?
Starting point is 00:40:38 What did he break? His elbow. He ended up in the hospital for three days and has two pins in his arms and quite a few hornet stings. So be careful with the stinging creatures. I just know, here's one thing, one of them, do not do things. Do not shoot a hornet nest with a 22 bullets. Unless you're in a vehicle with windows.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Because if you do, guess what's going to happen when you say, you're going to get popped? That bullet hits that hornet's nest. They follow the sonic boom back to where it came from. So if you're looking down the rifle, guess what? They're coming after you? By the time you pull the tree, you get dopeop. Be careful trimming trees, whether on your land or hurricane cleanup.
Starting point is 00:41:29 And we'll be praying for our friends here that ended up in the ER. Treming trees and a tractor bucket. I don't think I saw that approved anyway. I might have read that wrong, though. Was he in the bucket? Yeah, it says that. But it might have been like a bucket. No, look, hey, let me tell you.
Starting point is 00:41:46 I've spent a many hour in the bucket of a tractor with it lifted all the way up, cutting limb. and everything else from shooting lones. Picking fruit. Picking fruit. Hey, I was mowing. I was mowing and Hornets got after me. I just jumped off of the mower and ran inside as fast as I could.
Starting point is 00:42:05 And the mower just kept going to finally stop in the woods. But they popped me about 12 times. Oh, Big Phil was moving. Big Phil. And then he was moving from town to town. That rascals hurt, don't it? Oh, my goodness. They ain't got no quid in them.
Starting point is 00:42:21 No. Oh, mean, mean-spirited rascal. It felt good when I poured that gasoline down there and lit it. Listen to them. Pop-like popcorn. They start flying out. In a little way, it makes you feel like you won. And this, I keep getting emails that are related to what we're talking about.
Starting point is 00:42:40 This was from a few days ago. Donnie sent in a thing about side drag racing because he always says he's going to. When will you mark off drag racing from your bucket list? Oh, it's been my... He did it with tanks. How much cooler can you get, Don? Yeah, but hey, I've been told, okay. He wants to have top views.
Starting point is 00:42:58 I want one of them rail cars. And we've got access to one. And we've got access to one, but I've been told because I've had a heart attack and open heart surgery. Okay, then if things pull about five Gs... Five G's, please. So, hey, I may...
Starting point is 00:43:13 That's right. I may... If the doctor's telling me, you got this and you're going out, you're fixing to die, then I may go ready. at a rail car. All right.
Starting point is 00:43:23 Because what I'm going to do is I'm going to try to break. We'll throw flowers when he's going to try to break the current record for how much speed it is. For an old man or for anybody? Oh, for anybody. I'm going to try to rent. I'm going to try to set a new record. He's going to go hop in there with John Forrest and see what happened. And then Donnie threw at the end.
Starting point is 00:43:40 He's also curious of the best way to prepare pork chop. Number one. Well, he's got your attention. Donnie got my attention with drag racing. Okay. Here you go. And now I need to know about pork chop. Now you got it about pork chop.
Starting point is 00:43:51 Chops, okay, number one rule. Okay, first you got to go to the butcher, okay? Because, hey, what you want to tell him is, you do not want thick pork chops. I like a breakfast chop. You want thin, thin pork chops, and then you fry them where they're crispy. I've always wanted to open a restaurant.
Starting point is 00:44:08 Go on with it. That was pork instead of chicken. So pork nuggets, pork. Pork. Chops, just everything to eat fried. Pork on a stick. Just pork everywhere. I'd eat her.
Starting point is 00:44:20 He'd make a good pot. All the tissue, because they're full of pork. I always thought they spoke of something else. I don't even know what that means. But. And then our last question of the day, which is, I'm really curious about size's answer, is from Michael in Jacksonville, Florida. He loves the podcast, and he just wanted to know what our first jobs were.
Starting point is 00:44:48 My first job was hauling hay. Holling Hay at the young age of 12 years old. Was that for your parents? That story checks out. No, no. That was Jim Bailey hired me. How much did you make? How much did you make?
Starting point is 00:45:04 Fitzsincinnah. Fitzsenae. And that was, I stacked it. The owner, Jim Bailey. He would throw 30 bells on, then me and him both would stack them. Okay, and we had an internet. National, put it in Grandma.
Starting point is 00:45:24 He would jump out. Throw 30 bells on it, and we shut it off, throw them, stack them, then crank it back up, get another third bag. When we got 150, okay, and that'd be what, I think nine, you know. Nine stacks? Nine stacks. Yeah. So then we'd rope her down, you know, and head to where we were selling it.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Arkansas, Texas, wherever. And then unload it. And unload it, put it to barn. 50 cents an hour. So I'm going to date myself when I tell you my first job. It's a store that's not open anymore. Blackbuster? Howard Griffin, land of toys.
Starting point is 00:46:05 Loads of fun for girls and boys. Bring the kids and look around the greatest toy deal in the town. Howard Griffin. You only heard that a few times in there, didn't you? Oh, yeah. You worked at the toy store? Yeah. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:46:18 What section? All sections. Mostly warehouse, though. They didn't let you up there to cashier? No. No, he's all fair to that. There was a height requirement. He got that Mustang in the back.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Hight's requirement boys got him. Phil was back here riding a big wheel, son. You never did work for toys for us? You should have moved on to a career in the larger chains. For us. He had to, I like he had to jingle down. Oh, yeah. He's a company, man.
Starting point is 00:46:48 Nobody ever accused him not being that. I was mowing grass. That was my first job. I guess I was going to. Grass slash landscaping. My first job, where I like had to turn in my social security number, I was a janitor,
Starting point is 00:47:01 glorified janitor at a gym where I cleaned the locker room. That may have been my first job. Mowing grass? Yeah. But hey. Because I used to mow. Well, mine wasn't a side job. I mean,
Starting point is 00:47:12 it was full time during the summer when I was in high school. So my uncle was paying, my uncle lived beside my mom and dad, and he was paying some old boy, $25 an hour to bush hog Because if you got a tractor You can make some money Yeah
Starting point is 00:47:24 So my dad saw it and said Oh John David can do better I was like 13 And so my dad got me a job For $15 an hour Bushhoging Which more than 50 cents But I had to pay my dad
Starting point is 00:47:35 Like $5 an hour to use his stuff Child labor Has some rent Oh yeah I had to rent the equipment From my dad He cut you a good rate It only $5 a time
Starting point is 00:47:45 That's cheap I made good money in junior high and young high school. Because if I'd have been my tractor, I'd have had that rate flipped. Yeah, he'd have made the money. Yeah, I'd have got $10 an hour. You'd have got five because all you do is sitting there steering. But hey, I was good on him for making you work.
Starting point is 00:48:02 I think that's lost on a lot of people. Business. Mowing yards is important. Oh, man. That's where you learn all the different species of things that'll sting you. Yeah. Because you realize some of them hurt way worse than others. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:48:17 And you know. by the sting, you're like, yeah, that's a red walsp, but it ain't too bad. You're talking about it. And then you're like, oh, that's a guinea wasp. That's going to hurt a little more. And then they just keep on you. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:48:27 I was watching a guy mow his yard one day. That's what you do for fun? No, no, no, no. At his age, yeah. Look, and there was a tree, and when he'd come to that tree, you had some low little hanging limb. Uh-oh. He'd always duck, go on, go, y'all.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Yeah. Well, he keeps, you know, I happen to look over there, and I say, oh, that sounds good. And I'll try to get his tent. because hey about that big around purple tail wallstress solid solid purple how do we get back on walls and look he happened to hit it bad dude like he said you talking about a man moving hey he outrun the lawnmower yeah yeah you felt like he bailed off of it and look all it was all you seen was just a purple haze purple haze as as a prince would say a purple haze fathering this dude that was a house
Starting point is 00:49:18 I tell you, one of my, one of my worst ones was I hit one like that in a hall of stump fishing. Didn't know what he's in there? Bad news. I tried to be. I tried to be Jesus, son. I was trying to walk on that water, but that didn't happen. No, they ate me up. Did you jump in the water?
Starting point is 00:49:36 Yeah, I did. I come up on the other side of the boat, and they was all sitting on my boat, and I just sat there and kind of held on the edge of the boat for a while until they got settled back home. I thought until they went back over the way. I always had an escape plan. You got to be watching when you go to a lake. that's got a lot of cypress trees and buckbrush. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:53 But that dead timbers would get you because you don't see them inside them holes in there. Like we had that one where we got ate up by honeybees. Oh, no, no, no. That was so cool. At least you can see the honey coming out of that one. Yeah. They'll get you.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Old dead tree, look, and you look up there and the honey's dripping out of this thing. But let me tell you, if we'd have hit that thing with a boat, we'd have got ate up too. And we came close to bumping it. Did y'all steal the honey? No, we should have. No, it's too high up there.
Starting point is 00:50:23 I wouldn't get up there. He wasn't going to get up there, boys. But anyway, you want to send us home? You got a verse for us? Oh, I have a good friend named Phil McMillan who texted me a verse that he wanted me to read because he said his eyes aren't what they used to be. But Proverbs 12 verse 27, the lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent, feed on the riches of the hunt.
Starting point is 00:50:50 That's from my boy Doug in Oklahoma. Thank you, Doug. Doug from Oklahoma sent that one in. Read that again? The lazy, those that don't know, do not roast any game but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt. That's good.
Starting point is 00:51:06 I like it. He likes it. The lazy. In other words, the lazy don't eat, boys. Lazy don't eat, boy. You don't work, you don't eat. That's right. You don't work, you don't eat.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Bing, Bing. We're out. And that's from the Almighty. Amen. We'll see y'all next time right here on the duck call room.
