a movie I've been watching for 15 years had the perfect closure, the perfect ending. Lionel Messi winning the World Cup. Jack, is that maybe one of the best answers? No, the same thing. sentence. Well, you kept it one sentence. Usually people go into a monologue and they try to break down the game. That was money. Listen, I'm a big fan of the cast, man. So I can't prepare. Let's go. Let's go. Is it the greatest game of all time? Absolutely. Oh, absolutely. Another great. It meant so much, man. Think about it. It's it's everything we want as fans to see. Messy lift the World Cup. But then here comes the new generation, Killian and Boppe. Oh my God. In the final, dropping a hat trick.

which hadn't been done since 1966, and he tries to steal the story that Messi's trying to finish. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure you watched the game. We all watched the game. I mean, it was an insane game. And I'm a casual soccer fan.

I got into soccer probably 15 years ago or football because of Harry Kane. Harry Kane started following me. He's a Patriots fan. I started following him. I became a Tottenham Hot Spurs fan. And then I play a lot of FIFA. So that's how.

You're a Tottenham fan? A Tottenham fan. Thanks for having me guys. And the reason is, all my friends, they have all their EPL teams, the Arsenal's, Liverpools, and Manus and Man City. I was like, I'm going to go with the hotspurs. Yeah, yeah. I mean, you're in a, you're in a tough spot right now, but. Terrible.

I mean, listen, it felt like the entire planet just got together during that final. I think it was like 1.5 billion viewers. it was insane and I was front row so to witness it was was pretty special man and something I'll never forget but it was more than just that game too Argentina lost their first game of Saudi yeah against Saudi Arabia exactly and you know Messi scored in every single round of the World Cup seven times so it was it was bigger than just the final but that that last game man it felt like a script right it was just like it felt fake you know what I'm saying because It was 2-2, and then it was 3-3, and then I know you're a big fan of shootouts.

That's how you like sporting events to end. And then that happened. Why am I a fan of shootouts? Listen, man, I was just listening to the podcast and someone asked a question saying, like, what would have made that final better? You're like, well, maybe some shootouts, right? I'm my God. Jesus, Castro?

Casp are fucking coming from back. Man, we'll jump into this game more. And I love your insight. This guy's did his research. Absolutely dialed. What other sports are you fan of? What's your sports fandom? And who are your teams?

It's obviously football, number one, football. And then maybe do we have football Americano? Do we have basketball? Do we have baseball? Maybe. Football, that's funny. I like football, right? I'm a big fan of golf, too.

I feel like that's my latest itch. But all sports, man, all sports. We've got the boys in the studio. We always have all sports from women's sports to high school soccer. I mean, you name it, we watch it. And because I've been in sports my whole life, yeah, all of them, dude.

What did you play? Soccer. In high school? I played, that's where I peaked, right? That's where I, I don't know why she just laughed, right? Because she's like, that's so funny. You know, she just made fun of you. No, I was a captain of my high school soccer team, right?

But, yeah, I've been playing since three, club soccer. And then, yeah. Are you Bears fan? I am a Chicago Bears fan, man. Caleb? Big Caleb's fan. Got a lot of his rookie cards. Oh, yeah.

So you're a big card guy? Yeah, yeah. Are your collectives? Yeah, so for the last 10 years, I've been live streaming on Twitch. Yeah. Right? And it's mainly been me entertaining while playing FIFA, which I know you're a big fan of, right? And then after that, I kind of diversified a little bit, and I opened up a sports card collecting e-commerce, you know, website, brand.

and it's essentially where we break cards, we ship them to customers, and there's a lot of nice Caleb William cards out there. Heck, yeah. Have you seen Brady in the vault? I have. Is there any cross-pollination with that? How does that work?

Yeah, so they actually invited us in Dallas to go to their storefront, and we pulled up and, you know, we shot some content and stuff like that, but we're more online-based. Awesome. Yeah, I follow that, and that's pretty cool what they're doing.

A lot of, you know, ex-athletes, soccer players are getting more into it. And I feel like, you know, I don't want to, you know, take credit for anything, but the transition from the Twitch gaming side of things into the sports card, you know, we, we almost feel like we trailblazed it because we knew the entertainment side of Twitch and live streaming. But we kind of wanted to revolutionize how people, you know, sold cards or, you know, open cards. And that's something that I did for the last 10 years. So we added more mics. We added nice cameras. We put on a show. It felt like a podcast while we're ripping these cards. So shout out to the cash to collects boys. But yeah, it was. That's, I mean, it's so big right now.

Oh, yeah. We do fanatics fest. And just the collectibles. I always used to love trading cards. When I was a kid, you get it with the stale bubble gum and the baseball cards, a football cards. It's been really cool to see it with the new generation, which you're helping with that. Because one of the huge communication platforms out there nowadays is Twitch. And speaking of Twitch, you're an insane FIFA player. I love FIFA. Who's the FIFA squad that you have,

if you have a must-win game, you're playing with? Manchester United. Your boys, I like them too. You want to know why? Because they're not so high-rated in the game. Yeah. But I like to be good with them, right?

And I know that if I come up against anyone, and if I pick Real Madrid, which is a strong team, I'm going to smoke you. But if I beat you with United, now it's kind of like level a little bit, right? I've been playing with Man City lately. I like Holland. He's a tank, man.

I just throw it up in there, let him finishes. You got fast guys on the outside, the wings. I forget my team name. I'm not as dialed as I once was. I've been playing a lot of clubs lately. So that's why I play. Pro clubs? Pro clubs with my best friends.

There's no way you're on pro clubs. Yeah, we do clubs all day. You have your own character and everything? My own character. And he's high rated and all that? Well, we're trying to work those ratings. I'm about, you know, we're working that. I'm trying to get, what is it?

You're trying to unlock the different traits. I'm unlocking. What is it? Flay. No, anger, no. What's the third? I forget, but I'm getting there. Okay.

I'm a right wing. So do you build your character kind of like your real life character was? Yeah. I mean, I'm 5'10. I didn't, I didn't want, I kept my weight a little down because in soccer. Okay. You got to be a little faster and have that the lungs. So, you know, my guess is about 168, 172, depending on the day, water weight.

Okay. We're hitting speed, quickness, agility. We're all there. We're working on our long pass. Our game is pretty much speed, cut, cross up to my big dog, Benz in the middle and chemo and the, got to have the play in the other team. So, you know, FIFA is such a great way for athletes or video. game in general, A, to stay out of trouble.

B, to communicate with the kids I've been playing video games with for 25 years. And so these are the high school kids I grew up playing with. And we find time maybe twice, three times a week to get on and play clubs. That's so awesome, man. You know, that's how I met a lot of my friends in the footballing world, right? Some boys that, you know, play for Manchester United. I got, you know, the blessing to meet them. and, you know, that's what they all say

is that they travel. They've got these you know, luggage cases with an Xbox or PlayStation inside. And they take them to the hotels and all they're doing is gaming. And I'm like, that is genius. Oh, yeah. Like I said, it's a great way to communicate with friends. Keeps you out of the streets.

You know what I mean? There's so many distractions from life when you're a professional in anything. When you have something that kind of holds you in, you get to just sit there. it's a great form of rebooting for me. Absolutely. And it's fun too.

When you look at the game, right, you see how realistic it is. It is. Right? And you're just like, man, it almost feels like I'm in the game, right? But say you were to work for FIFA, you were like the president and you could change a couple things from the game. Well, it's FC now, whatever it is. What are some things you're changing from the game? Well, listen, I am, I was fully deep in the, you know, competitive side of the game.

It's called Ultimate Team, where I'm opening a, up digital packs. I'm putting my squad together. And then I'm going on line to play some of the best players around the world. And I'm trying to hit the top rank, right? I'm trying to get, you know, 30 and no, 20 and no games in a row without losing. And once you unlock that level, it becomes super competitive. And as we've seen throughout the past maybe five or so years, there's a lot of AI involvement now. Right. And that's when you get to see all the glitches. You know what I'm saying? And so what I'm saying? And so what I'm I would do is I would probably tone that a little bit, right, just to make it a little more fair,

but I know it's hard because coding a video game is, I mean, man, I can only imagine how difficult that is. So that's one of the reasons why I always try to stay away from the competitive side of gaming and lean towards the entertainment side, right? Which is what I'm essentially kind of known for. And that's what I love to do the most. But yeah, man, I would probably, you know, tweak that a little bit or potentially. potentially make it an open world like Grand Theft Auto where you have your own character on

pro clubs. Then you can go and train and then you've got a story mode. I know NBA 2K does a really good job of that. So probably lean towards that too. I like that. Now break us down a day in the life of a streamer. No, I want to know like how do you get ready for your workday? Yeah. Is there a routine you have before? Do you, you know, you have a team that maybe gets you right? now, but back in the day, were you doing your own camera settings? Were you taking everything serious? Were you eating different? Did you plot out a certain amount of time for the day that you were streaming?

Did you know what specific hours were best streaming? Like, how is a day in a life of a streamer? Yeah, so listen, that's a fantastic question. And I don't know if anyone's ever asked me that before, but, you know, you're going to find out that it's a bit, it can be a bit unhealthy, right? So I'd wake up maybe like 7 a.m. I wouldn't eat. Right. I'd say goodbye to my wife, although I was just going to the room next door.

See you, babe. I'll see you later. Right. And I would, I would, I would sit there and game for eight to 12 hours a day. Right. And what was different about me is that I had the highest of highest energies. I'm one of those OGs that was just like, man, if people are going to tune in to watch me, I got to make it as most entertaining as I possibly can. It's being loud. It's, It's, you know, just never know dead airspace is what I'm talking about. And people love that, right? And I think they could relate to it because I feel like I, because I've been playing soccer for so long, I knew a lot about the real world game and it translates into the video game.

We're looking for In For Messey cards. We're opening packs. We're playing the game. We're building teams based on who's performing well in real life. And so I'm doing that for eight to 12 hours a day. And it started blowing up. and I would look at my wife and I was like, man, this is, this is a lot of money. Let's do something with this.

So this is where I started running charity live streams. And that's one of the things I'm most, you know, I guess happy for that that I did that because we ultimately raised over, I think, a million dollars. Let's go. And of me just sitting there, no sleep for 50 hours. I wouldn't shut it off. I did a 24-hour one. I did a 50-hour one.

The longest one I did without sleeping or even showering was 72 hours. How many milligrams of caffeine? Man, I was downing at the time. I don't know what the company called, but I was sponsored by the company. And I was just, dude, I was down in like two of those a day. And obviously it worked. 400 milligrams. But again, that goes towards the, you know, it's a bit unhealthy.

But an average, you know, eight hour day, I'd go on, you know, eight hours. I'd come off. Obviously, I was exhausted, right? Because it's everyone thinks, like, it's just sitting there playing video games. well, it's like, no, I'm actually like trying to, you know, entertain and talk a lot. My voice was always gone. It was always raspy and all that stuff.

But it was awesome because it brought the community together, right? And ultimately, I think that that was my purpose was to give people an escape from the real world and sit there and hopefully learn something or just be entertained and, you know. Yeah. Now, how do you know you have to? a good stream at the end. Because like after I'm done with my work, you know, or this now or football when I was playing, I'd have like a debrief session after with, you know, some of the people, either teammates, people that I work with here. And you sit and you debrief everything.

Like, man, how do you think it was? Was it a good one? Shit, although there's this one play. Well, there's this one question. Well, we didn't get, you know what I mean? Is there like a, is there a period of that after? Yeah, I think... How do you know you got a good stream? Well, I think, number one, if I didn't break any controllers, I was cool. If I didn't crash out, I was cool. And yeah, I would just...

I would sit there, like you said, and self-reflect a little bit. And I'd be like, all right, like, how was the energy in the room, in the chat? How were they towards me? How was I towards them? And I always try to be as positive as I could be, because no one wants to sit there and watch someone that's, you know, angry or upset or whatnot. So I would sit there and reflect. and I would just tell myself like, you know what, that was good. There were some days where I was just like, man, that was, that was fucking amazing.

Right. And those were typically the days where, you know, we would raise a lot of money for various charities and stuff like that. But yeah, man, it was, it's a little self-reflecting. Do you ever rewatch the Twitch? Never. I've never, listen, man, this is crazy to say, but in 13 years that I've been in this industry, I've never rewatched a stream. I've never rewatched a YouTube video. I've never done any of that.

Yeah. Man, so there's got to be something because you're self-reflecting that your audience loves that you hate doing. What is it? My, well, crashing out. They find it as entertainment, right? You know, and you could tell that they mess with you in the chat. And they're like, oh, I'm going to say this and see if he chucks that controller. And at first, man, you know, it was almost like I was a rookie at it. Maybe it gets to you a comment here and there.

But then I'm like, ah, I know you guys are trolling me, man. So I'd go back and forth with it, but I think just, I never wanted to be angry. I don't want to do that. But yeah, there's things in there that people say. Obviously, it's an open world, man. It's the internet. That's crazy. But one thing that I want to, I guess, kind of touch on is one time I had one of the

worst things happened to me, bro. All right. And you're not going to believe this, but I was coming towards the end of a long stream. And my wife had just left. She went to Costco or something. something. And I had my headset on and I'm sitting there gaming, right? And this was maybe nine years ago. And all of a sudden, my phone was always on my desk and it says, answer the phone from my wife. And I'm like, what the hell? The next thing you know, I get a call. And I have my headset on. And every time I

was going to answer a call, I would mute my mic. If I muted my mic really quick, I answered the phone. And they're like, stand up and start walking backwards. And I was like, oh, I know what's going on. So I had the phone. I grabbed my left hand and I end the stream. Close it down. I get up. And then I put it on speakerphone, take off my headset.

And you can kind of see where like the pan, if you go back and watch the Vod or you can kind of see me end my stream a little weird. So anyways, I ended the stream. I have my phone. And I'm like this. And I'm like, yes. And they're like, okay, walk down. I'm on the second floor.

walk down your house backwards. Once you get out of your house, keep walking backwards. Turn right to the stop sign. Do it all backwards. And I'm like, oh, okay. So I do all that. And I look like a weirdo doing it, right? I finally get to the stop sign.

I turn it around. There's lasers pointed out my chest. There's guys behind trees with shotguns, rifles. They're all behind like, you know, squat it up. It's the SWAT team. And I'm like, oh, God. So I'm like walking slowly. towards them.

They're giving me instructions. I'm following all the instructions. Someone had called and said that I, dude, beheaded my wife. I had people hostage, all this stuff. And it was scary as hell.

Yeah. Because I'm like, man, what if my phone slips? And I've got a red dot on my chest. Like, I'm, I'm,

I'm, I told him. I was like, I know what's going on. I think I'm being swatted. Um, I'm sorry. And then,

I looked at my I have cameras inside the house and my dogs are like in their little crate or whatnot these dudes are walking in with just shotguns and rifles and stuff I get it it's protocol

someone called and they had to you know do it yeah because what if it was true you know what I'm saying yeah I mean that's the crazy thing about being

yeah on the internet yeah for like you know what I mean and it's probably just some kid fucking with you it was they did say

it was someone from like Birmingham or England or something like that. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah. So we got bots. We got bots calling in swats. So, yeah, that was calling in swats, baby. Man. That was scary.

Only one swat and all those years, though? I mean, dude, see, the ones that I like is when they call them. How do they know where you live? That's, yeah. I mean, dude, if you do enough research, I think you can. I don't know, man. I don't know. That's not the only time. The one time, see, this is what they need to start doing, right? They ordered like 25 pizzas to my parents' house. And I'm like, oh, hell yeah.

And then I opened the door. They didn't pay for it. So I was like, oh, yeah. I ended up paying for it, but. I hope there were. Domino's pizzas. Jeez. The day of their life.

I reckon they're going to get out of the group stage and I hope they do right I hope they do well they haven't had a win in the elimination stage since like 94 or something yeah it's been

you know and then it's got it we got to get it going everyone keeps on talking about the youth or something the youth sports and the development of it I don't know yeah I think it's a it's a combination of many things right obviously the the the youth, I think player development is important.

I also think that one of the things that I can relate to is that that age from 16, 17, and 18, I feel like a lot of kids maybe get lost in that in that age group, right? At least I did, right? You know, that's when you're starting to drive, you girls, whatnot. So maybe. Yeah, man, maybe focusing up a little bit in that age or having, you know, advise it and stuff. So which nation's going to surprise us the most, do you think, out of this? Oh, you know, okay, so this is something that I've, I've really thought of.

So they're implementing AI into this World Cup, right? Obviously, the previous one that had VAR and all that stuff. I mean, I thought we just wanted to eliminate AI from FIFA. Now we're going to, we're putting it in. Well, no, but like just, you know, the technical stuff. And I believe that it'll be a nation who, you know, focuses on that. I think Japan. To keep it short, Japan.

The young ins, too, they get an opportunity. This is, this is their time to shine, right? Who's your favorite young player you think is going to ball out? Well, I mean, listen, obviously, Lamin Yamal is a young player and he's one of the best, if not the best right now. So I think him in Spain, man, they're going to, they're going to pop off. I think they could potentially reach the final. There's also, uh, what team's he on? He's on Spain. Barcelona. Barcelona. There's only 18. It's unbelievable. That guy's been killing it, hasn't he? He's unreal.

man. He's the closest thing I think we have had since maybe like a Ronaldo deino or maybe a messy. Ronaldinho. A little banged up right now, but he'll be right. I'm sure you know about Dino, right? Of course I do. Brazil, right? Yeah. Oh, yeah. You're going to watch that new doc. I want to be in all the damn commercials.

Oh, the new documentary is good. Yeah, I haven't seen it yet. It's on my list. But I just remember seeing Ronaldino and all the Nike commercials. And I guess they I saw a thing behind it that it only be one take. He would just do that messing around and then, bop. Yeah. It'd be done.

But once the game would end, we would turn the stream on, travel to the next game, and then turn it off. And then I would just go on social media and post from there. And yeah, man, I mean, for the final, it was mental because, whof. How was the stadium? They were nice. They were nice.

A Luce Stadium, the final stadium was beautiful. But you could definitely see that some of them were a bit rushed to make. So, you know, there was one that was like the container stadium. I mean, you could see quite literally the containers and all that. But yeah, they were nice. Nothing like out here, though. Yeah. What was the atmosphere?

Were people, was the crowd in tune to it? So during the knockout stage, absolutely. But you did see a lot of, how do I say this? A lot of locals as well that were maybe given like free tickets for some of the games, right? But man, there was a lot of countries that traveled extremely well. Mexico being one of them. There was a lot of U.S. fans. Argentinians are by far the ones that travel the most, I think.

And then obviously the Brazilian. too. Now, who's a country you think would be an awesome host country that's never hosted? An awesome host country that's never hosted? Oh, man. I think the U.S. is going to be great. I know people are saying what they want to say, but I think the U.S. is going to be fantastic, especially with some of these stadiums where they're lifting the pitch. I don't know you've seen Cowboy Stadium and what they're doing there. They're making it, they're lifting it up so that they're getting rid of all the on-field suites so that it looks like a Premier League game.

You ever watch a Premier League game where like the first row is right by the sidelines? Oh, baby. It's going to look real sick. They just put out, they just put out a clip of how they're lifting it up. You know how it's weak? That the international soccer guys, anytime they play in our stadiums,
