Starting point is 00:01:44 Even those of us that embrace the chilly weather need something to break up long winter nights. Something I love to do is treat myself to a little something, but I don't want to spend a fortune on my winter blues. That's where Quince comes in. I'm absolutely obsessed with my Quince luggages. I took them on tour. I brought them home and they're still like brand new. I'm pretty much obsessed with this brand, but there is something else that everyone needs in their closet, in my opinion. Quince's iconic Mongolian cashmere sweaters, which start at $50. Or if you want to really up the luxe factor, check out their Italian leather handbags, washable silk skirts, and European linen sheet sets.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Whatever you're looking for, all Quince items are priced 50% to 80% less than similar brands. Quince only works with factories that use safe, ethical, and responsible manufacturing practices. Treat yourself this winter without the luxury price tag. Go to quince.com slash B-U-N-N-I-E for 365-day returns plus free shipping on your order. That's Q-U-I-N-C-E dot com slash bunny, B-U-N-N-I-E, to get free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash bunny. Is this thing on? on the market for the low who the realest we might never know all this acting you gonna play a role give you the world when they sign you up try you out and then they line you up
Starting point is 00:03:08 what's up you sexy motherfuckers welcome to another episode of dumb blonde today we have kind of like a special edition for you guys um my girl ashley from painted lady tattoo she's the owner out here in vegas We came to her shop today because I wanted her to be able to tell her story but also showcase her talent so that if you guys are ever in Vegas you guys need to look my girl up hit her up and she's actually you guys always ask me who did who's done my side tattoos. She actually did one of them. She did the saint with the praying hands the lady on my side and she's just one fucking amazing artist but what's even cooler
Starting point is 00:03:45 about her is that she has a fucking story that is just amazing. So we're going to get into that. And we are in the shop right now. Thank you. No worries. So she has an amazing story and I just want you guys to be able to hear it and also see her work while she's tattooing. So what's up girl. I'm so happy to have you on here. Thank you for having me. It's been such a long time. I know. So I met Ashley about 12 years ago when one of my exes worked for her and her husband at their tattoo shop. And it's just crazy how the world always comes full circle. And I believe that people cross paths in life in order to recross them and, you know, bring each other good energy and all that jazz. So what's been going on since the last time that I saw you?
Starting point is 00:04:34 So when I saw you, I was with my baby's dad and we totally were just not doing good. We were, you know, back then being hooked on pain medications was like a big deal. And that took a very hard toll on me. And finally, when I just left that horrible, like bad situation and energy and the people with it, I've come so far, like from sleeping on people's couches no phone no car yeah I have a son so he was a baby so it was like really hard for me and it feels so lonely when you're not alone because there's so many people that go through addiction absolutely coming you know coming off of it is even the hardest part but once you do get past that um i've just every year i come up more and more and more yeah from being around good energy and doing better in life and not being
Starting point is 00:05:34 succumbing to addiction yeah exactly how long were you in addiction for how many years seven like probably like four years on um uh like pills and heroin and then it took me four years to go to the clinic uh legally to um basically get stable right you know you're still addicted to what the doctors give you but um i completed the whole program and um but while i was on that program i was able to get a stable life right uh get where i'm at now that takes a lot of perseverance dude not just anybody can just get off of heroin and go to not even a rehab but a rehabilitation program i don't wish that on anybody you know yeah um it did start with uh i got my wisdom teeth pulled and that's what happened to me know that you know you get your body gets addicted to these pills that these doctors give you.
Starting point is 00:06:30 And what do you know? It just led to one thing after another. And it just the first time I ever took a pill, I had my wisdom teeth pulled and they prescribed me Percocets and I took one and I was like, oh, my God, I am percolated. And I loved it. Yeah, it's such a good feeling. It was when you first start taking them. When you first, yeah. Until you can't get out of bed.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Right. And then you chase that high and you're just like, I know. Luckily, my body, I couldn't take Percocets for that long. They made me sick. Throw up. Yeah, but then it turned into Lortabs. And I had to take a Lortab a day just to even get, you know, get by. But, um, I was like a controlled drug addict, I guess you could say like, huh? Mo it was always,
Starting point is 00:07:10 we just always wanted like one. Uh, but my ex Frankie that used to work for you, he actually was addicted to Laura tabs also. And he had to have like 20 a day. Yeah. That's what, um, when I was with my baby's dad, you know, he kind of was, um, a lot deeper into it than I knew about. So, yeah, he was just like Frankie and he knew Frankie as well. Yeah, that's how we met was whenever they were working for you. So since then, you've done the program.
Starting point is 00:07:38 You have kind of made a name for yourself out here in Vegas. I'm starting to get recognized. It's really cool. No, it's so awesome because you are genuinely such a talented human, even in your addiction. And back then, like you literally were just so talented. And so to see you be able to rise up from those ashes is just simply amazing. And I think it's really cool. I think another thing that's cool about you is whenever you were doing my tattoo, we were talking and you have an all-girl uh tattoo shop yes so there's three women in here um me my girl bori and my um apprentice uh mariana and i'm just gonna keep it all female um i want to be i love that female shop you know yeah no i love that you're like
Starting point is 00:08:19 doing your thug thistle out here yeah we're doing awesome that's how my team is too it's all females don just came on because we love him so much and nobody can beat his work so but he's one of the girls yeah he's all man but he's one of the girls so but yeah no i loved that you have um an all girl you know thing going on over here so what is it that you're drawing on Mimi right now? So I'm doing a rose. Basically, all my clients come to me for my freehand. They just have ideas and then they let me just freehand whatever that they would like. I do do a lot of roses lately. Realism from freehand. Most of the time I'll I'll take my own picture of the rose. So that way it's like an organic rose freehand yeah that nobody else has so um yeah we're doing one of those let's something that I do almost
Starting point is 00:09:12 every other day yeah for sure I got a few roses on me too um when did you always draw was that your passion um yeah I so everybody in high school were like oh you were the girl getting in trouble for drawing all the time not paying attention so yeah I've always drew um and then right out of high school I started tattooing and I just happened to get in real easy and now that I am you know sober and all that um I'm so passionate about it I don't have anything distracting me yeah you know I just do my own thing and and this is where I love to be. Just at the shop, working. It's just therapeutic for you. I love it so much. I dig it
Starting point is 00:09:52 and you are one talented fucking artist. To be able to just look at something and draw it and then also tattoo it on somebody's skin. You're making people happy every day. You bring joy to people's lives. I love that too because some people have like such horrible tattoos that they are just so embarrassed to even walk around with it they cover
Starting point is 00:10:10 it and when they come to me and i can cover it for them yeah it's like really makes such a difference in their everyday life it's crazy yeah for sure i love that part it's awesome let's talk about dating in vegas if anybody follows you on social media you are fucking hilarious so she has like a couple of dudes or a few dudes that she you know has on rotation and she labels them number one number two right and her big thing is like float on like And I love that. It is so funny. You guys have to follow her on Instagram. She is so entertaining, dude. Like if I'm having a bad day, I'll go and watch Ashley's stories.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Because it is just so funny. Like she cracks me up. I swear she's like my spirit animal. So what is it like? Okay, not dating. But what is it like banging out here in Vegas? I don't bang them all. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:11:04 So it's just about individualism. here in Vegas. I don't bang them all. Okay. It just, it's just about individualism. Like, I don't want to be locked down to one person and even, I want, I like to love people.
Starting point is 00:11:15 Yeah. So I don't believe in being in a relationship and like, then you feel stuck and it's like, just be honest. Yep.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Keep it real, you know. Absolutely. Be around people that make you happy. And if it happens to be someone else that you like and love, that's okay for me and for the other people, you know. Right. I just want people to not feel trapped in a commitment that they made
Starting point is 00:11:39 because they love someone at the moment. You know what I'm saying? I couldn't agree with that more. My husband and I actually have a relationship like that where it's like, you know, we're in love. We're business partners and we're soulmates but he can bang whoever he wants and I can bang whoever I want.
Starting point is 00:11:53 As long as we're honest with each other about it. Yeah, just be honest. That is the only thing. Communication is key, dude, in any relationship. Yeah, you live once. Like, yes, being in love and all that is cool and um you know but you live once like yeah totally so it's like i don't want to just love just once like i want to like she's like i love you i love you i love all of you she's like i want to spread
Starting point is 00:12:19 this love around what would you tell somebody who is in addiction right now and thinking that there's no way out there is a way out you just have to really want it you have to have enough and you have to separate yourself from the people you're around the circle you're with because otherwise you're always going to do the same path absolutely so um i just remember for so long that i never thought i could get off like because it was, it was a painful addiction is hard. Was it painful whenever you were getting off? Do you still crave it to this day?
Starting point is 00:12:51 No, no. I never want to feel like that again. Yeah. So, yeah, it's just something that I do know some people who do get off drugs and they say that it's hard because they still have that that craving. So I think when i was on it i thought it was the love of my life right i didn't want to ever stop but um just knowing that i can get up every single day without any type of help yeah that is the best feeling ever yeah and look at you now so we're in your your own shop like how fucking cool is that? Thank you. Like, this is your shit and nobody can take it from you.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Yes. And you're the fucking boss hog. I'm really so proud of you. I love seeing how far you've come. Like, this really makes my heart happy for you. I still feel like I have a lot more to do. Yeah, you've been traveling a lot, right? Yeah, I try to travel as much as possible.
