Starting point is 00:02:28 Population New York. Population Nunez. I love that he was in the middle of business, and Oscar Nunez is now on the show. I've been to Dumb People Town before. Yes. You have. You love it. You live in Dumb People Town.
Starting point is 00:02:38 You've got a new show on Peacock called the paper that you're in. I'm very excited about it. We can't talk about it now. We've got dumb to get you. Did you love the office? You're going to love this show. Before we get to that, Dan's got a story. Ready?
Starting point is 00:02:48 Yes. Send in by, we're talking about practice. At Not a Game underscore 3. Yes. Been around for a long time. Thank you. Thank you. Criminal Charge for Breaking Sync.
Starting point is 00:02:58 During sex. What? So you can't put him up on the sink. Why not? Sex with him. Why not? Why not? Because it's going to break the sink.
Starting point is 00:03:07 I'm not the only person who thought of a top gun? Oh. Oh, because they had sex on a sink in top gun. Yeah, remember, and he's like, I think this is load bearing. He goes into the woman's restroom. Is that the new? Kelly McGinnis. Did he say I think this is load bearing?
Starting point is 00:03:18 Yeah, there's a whole thing where Tom Cruise is like, yeah, I think this can like take weight. You don't remember this scene? He said load bearing? Yeah, I think so. The original? You tell you the original top gun? No, the off market one, Iron Eagle.
Starting point is 00:03:27 six. Oh, Jesus. That was a different one. Are you sure it wasn't power bottom gun? That's a good. There is a porn called Top Guns. Top Guns. Is it? Yes. There's one called the orifice. Oh, come on. Is that real? I don't know what it should be. There should be. There should be. It should be.
Starting point is 00:03:47 It already held. Dan. The style lends itself. Dan, Dan, Dan, single handheld. DOV. Yeah. A porno with confessions. Direct to camera. During the sex. A porno with confession. We should do this. I'm not kidding, dude. That's funny. A porno with confessionals would be the funniest.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Also, during the orgy, they just keep cutting to the gym character, and he's like, Yeah. Camera pushes in. He just turns this side. He's like, we don't get much work done, but it's fun. It's fun. It's so funny. We love our audience.
Starting point is 00:04:16 It's like a family in here, but not like that idea. We own that idea. We mail it to yourself. We mailed it to ourselves. Limited Oscar News executive producing. Okay. While being, while quote, being intimate with a friend, I hope so.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Inside a restaurant bathroom, a Florida woman broke a sink off the wall, leading to her arrest for criminal mischief, according to police. Now, when the sink came off the wall, did just water shoot out, and she just screamed. Hallelujah. It already was, hopefully. I created a bidet for you. You're welcome. And the door smashed and the water rushed out, and they were sitting in the sink.
Starting point is 00:04:49 Yes, yeah. It was like the shining. Oh, they rode the sink through the... Because it's Florida. And peace, no overweight jokes, but how much did she? It takes a lot to sit on a... Or they're just going at it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Investigators say... Too hard. Look, sometimes names invoke images. Sure. Can I just say that? So I have an idea. And that's not based off of what Oscar says in a bathroom. And Oscar was so rude.
Starting point is 00:05:16 He was very rude to her. But wait, what is that? Why do we need investigators? Why does this need investigators? Correct. Hey, what do you work it on these days? Me? Yeah, you're on that.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Investigating. You're doing a lot of these hard case. It's a paper. We're on the sink case. We're on the sink case. Oh, yes. What are you? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Okay, investigators say, this is the name. Paint your own picture based on name alone. I'm collecting clues on this unsolved mystery. Investigators say that Catherine Trammell, that's a sink breaking name. Yeah. That's a sink breaking name. She broke another one at the first time. She broke another one?
Starting point is 00:05:51 Yeah, yeah. You again. Yes. She caused serious damages. Tuesday during an afternoon encounter. It's trammel damage. Afternoon. Inside the bathroom at Irish 31 in Eatery in Seminole. Just for fun, because I like to go to the extra effort. I went and looked up Irish 31. In Seminole, Florida. What are the reviews? Would you like to guess their rating out of five stars on Yelp? On Google. On Google? Two or three. No, no, no. I think this is a 4.4.3.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Okay. 4.6. Really? I think people love this place. Obviously. What did you go? You want to go even three?
Starting point is 00:06:34 One of you is exactly right. We now get to play the game. Who do you think is right? I'm staying with yourself or jump to somebody. I'm going to stay. 4.3. Do you want to stay with your three? Namaste.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Okay. You go and stay. Out of 945 Google reviews. Wow. One of which I will read after I tell you. I can't wait to hear it. They have a score of 4.3
Starting point is 00:06:57 Jason Scler Robert Massey left this review This is for Irish 31 Old Bob Massey let the review Ordered nachos Toppings were very skimpy And waitress kept asking if we were okay With what the menu stated
Starting point is 00:07:12 After we started eating it We said no Total miss on nachos Were very minimal on toppings Wife ordered whiskey chicken And I tried it but very bland By the way The reason I'm not
Starting point is 00:07:25 stopping, it's because everything is done with either an ellipsies or just tube dots. Meanwhile, his wife is like, honey, are you coming to dinner at home? I got to finish this review. I ordered fish and chips with extra tartar sauce. Second tartar sauce was charged for second tartar sauce, which I thought was lame. Fish was cut like fish sticks and not filet. Order bread pudding, which was okay, but overall impression was save your money or go elsewhere. There you go.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Didn't take photos as we don't typically do that. Waitress was good, thought. Tipped her well. Wife said best part of the meal was the specialty drink, which was excellent. Owner responded below, and I would have expected a different response than come back and try again. We will not be back. Our hard-earned money is better spent elsewhere, one star.
Starting point is 00:08:10 The beluga caviar was subpar. Also, tip the waitress well. I'm glad you did that. Yeah, I like that he did that. But it doesn't line up with everything you're so mad on the back. She's freaking clare. It's in Seminole County? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Seminole, Florida. is that a reservation is that is that a is that a native american no just i think it's just a town i think it might be near tallahassee if by the way you guys have been to florida yeah oh yeah many times is it indian or native american what what are we i think it's native i go with whatever the people in the conversation i'm having tells me to say or the person who is of that orientation or whatever tells me they want me to say because i thought it was the closest we have here to a native you oh boy me right
Starting point is 00:08:58 what is it what do you want to go with indigenous people indigenous Americans Native Americans Indians natives I think natives is off Originals Original recipe original original recipe Original recipe
Starting point is 00:09:13 What is that? 11 recipe doesn't feel right That doesn't feel like asking I'm literally asking let's go back to trammle Which is a like carpenter's tool Right? Yeah do you have a trammle? an owl. Arrest affidavit. Trammel and a friend were asked to leave the restaurant after staff discovered them in the
Starting point is 00:09:31 bathroom. So someone walked in. This is afternoon. No, you see two people going in a bathroom. You're like, you're either doing cocaine or what's happened. Or you're doing her. You're going to break the sink. And her friend left the bathroom and sat at the bar. A sheriff's deputy noted. They broke it. Then they sat down. Trammel, cops allege, subsequently returned to the bathroom. Of course. It was during this second trip that the sink was damaged. They had said, on some level, twice in the middle of the afternoon
Starting point is 00:09:58 at Irish 31. He reloaded. Or he never got to finish. How much whiskey do you have? Why do we assume it's a he? You're right? Fair. Come on. Went with a friend. Come on, guys. She reloaded. It's 2025. Thank you. After being read her rights. They reloaded. Come on. They reloaded. Come on. Trammle reportedly said that quote, her friend and herself were being
Starting point is 00:10:18 intimate in the bathroom and as a result caused the sink to break. So she admitted it. It happens. That's right. We caused it to break. Trammell police reported would not offer further explanation. By the way, I don't like that terminology. You broke it. You caused it to break. You broke it. Yeah. Like, caused it to break
Starting point is 00:10:33 means it's like, oh, it just happened to us. Yeah. Yeah. I heard she's suing the sink maker. Yes. Yeah, we defied the integrity of the sink. Right. That's what I would say. Coler, you're going to be hearing from our attorneys. Coler. That was a good poll. So nice. Trammel. Police report.
Starting point is 00:10:49 Fist her. I hardly knew her. Hey. Trammel. would not offer further explanation as to how the sink was damaged. Are you Googling sinks right now? And then this article wrote as if that was necessary. Yeah. Because they know.
Starting point is 00:11:04 They know. Trammell was charged with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. After the restaurant's owner said he wanted to press charges, Trammell was released from the county jail early yesterday on our own recognizance. While not identified in the affidavit, Tramble's friend appears to be a male. Okay. Appears to be. They are playing it safe.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Wow. We don't know. We get enough shit down. Just as we are. Just as we are. Why, whatever happens, you just pay the bill. Now here's all this. Just pay the, right.
Starting point is 00:11:29 This is what I'm saying. If you are, if you are the bar owner or whatnot. Yeah. You say, okay, you're going to buy me a new. Irish 31. You're going to buy me a new sink and pay for it to be installed. No harm, no foul. And you pay for the damage.
Starting point is 00:11:42 And you get a baller sink. You get a phenomenal sink and you make them pay for a really nice thing. And she's been there before. Am I right? Yeah. She's been there before. Of course. They know her.
Starting point is 00:11:52 They know her. They know how to find a fine. You're buying Trammell? You're buying a really nice sink. You break a sink, you buy a sink. And a nice one. It's not that hard. Catherine Trammell.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Speaking of not that hard. The unnamed individual, however, does not, this is the guy, does not seem to have been charged in connection with the sink destruction. Right, because her ass was on it. Literally. But don't you think he should be? Yes, of course. He's engaging in the act that does cause damage. Let's hear from Catherine.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Catherine, come on. I wish. He's probably like, babe, get up there. I can't, I can't operate with you down that low. Also, I can't bend over the sink. Also, wait until you go home. Why is they doing it here? That's like watching porn on a plane.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Can't you wait? I wonder like, you know what? Each of them have someone else at home. I can't wait out. No, listen, he got it. He got it. That's it. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:12:46 That's why he's saying my friend. That's why you're saying my friend. Dan, you're so smart. And the male's not identified. That's an investigator. The cops are doing him a solid. You should be an investigation. So maybe, okay, so now I have a different, as you say this.
Starting point is 00:13:00 Hold on, things are changing. I have a different perspective here. I actually think the bar is protecting her now. They're like, we know you come in here a lot. You know you're having an affair. Yeah. We're not going to identify. We're not going to cold play you.
Starting point is 00:13:12 That's right. We're not going to go play you. That's the thing now. We're going to long play you. We're not going to hot play you. We're going to hot play you. We're not hot play. They're not.
Starting point is 00:13:21 They're blaming. Coldplay. Like, someone's trying to sue Coldplay, one of them. Yes. I mean, come on. The same thing is if those people had just not reacted, no one would ever nobody would have known. No. It never would have gone anywhere. Okay, I'm going to show you a picture of Catherine Trammell. Then we're going to guess her age.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Oh, boy. All right? Oh, boy. Here she is. Oh, Catherine Trammell. She's pretty. A little bathroom. She's cute. Hot action. Afternoon, Irish 31, go there for not fish or nachos. But, specialty drinks, good servers, and bathroom.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Apparently, her toppings were not skimpy. Yeah, great place to have sex in a room where you can smell someone else's dump. She's 19. Take me out of here. She's a Florida 19. 19. Florida, no. I think she's 31.
Starting point is 00:14:06 31. I think she's 36. 36. One of you is one year off. You now all get the option to go up a year or down a year. 32. 32. 35.
Starting point is 00:14:17 35. 20. Okay. 20. Damn it. Catherine. Trammel. To close that story one, when we come back, Jason will take away with story two.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I'll tell you what I'm up to. We'll hear about everything that's going on at the paper. The paper with the great Oscar. All right, here we go, ready? Yeah. Catherine Trammell is 37 years old. Oh, I was went the wrong way. She looks good.
Starting point is 00:14:40 She does. She does. She does. 37. Hey, man, Beth, feeling herself. All right, let's take a break. Oscar Nunez is with us. He's on the brand new show on Peacock called The Paper.
Starting point is 00:14:49 The Office Spinoff. And he's probably one holdover from the wrist. Maybe one or two. Kate Flannery? No, nobody. No. Do you origin? You're the one. So I love this.
Starting point is 00:14:58 It's not a spinoff, but okay. I know. Well, we'll get into it. Correct us on the other side. Let's investigate it. Hold on to it. Get into it. Break the sink on the other side.

Starting point is 00:20:59 Did you feel like you had to come at it with a new slate Or did you feel like Cortis sort of slipping into an old shoot It was a slow thing It wasn't like hey you've got this job It was like months ago Greg Daniels and I Have lunch once in a while
Starting point is 00:21:12 And he's like I don't know I'm thinking of doing something with a paper. He likes journalism and something with the paper. I don't know. How would you feel if your character? And I'm like, yeah, sure. And then that's all. And then if it's anyone else, nothing's going to happen. You're like, you're like, whatever, but it's Greg Daniels. Yeah, right. So then a couple of weeks ago, and he's like, I'm been thinking about it more and and you're still interested. I'm like, yeah, yeah. And then, and then lo and behold, one of those lunches, he's like, let's go meet the writers. I've got to, I'm like, oh. Oh, snap, it's
Starting point is 00:21:42 really happening. And then he likes to walk and talk and we're walking. And we're walking. and he's like oh we started casting and we cast this guy do you know Alex Edelman I'm like the guy from just for us he's like yeah that guy I'm like yeah I just watched it he's like well he's I'm like oh come on and then from there it just Mo Welch unbelievable she's so funny you know Mo love her great comic great writer great person she's on the show Donald Gleason is like our lead great he he can't stop working he's in everything that he was donald Gleason was he not on black mirror in the episode where he dies. Yes, he does a black mirror. Yes. And then there's, I mean, he's an AI version of so God.
Starting point is 00:22:22 He's so good. He's amazing. He's so crazy. He works all. He comes from Brendan Gleases his dad. Yeah. And his brother. Jackie Gleason's his uncle.
Starting point is 00:22:32 His uncle and people don't know. And his brother's on bad sisters. Oh, let's go. So, yeah, so he's there. And then Chelsea Fry and the. When you went to shooting, though, did it feel a lot? like going back to the office in terms of the
Starting point is 00:22:46 style and how it's done? Sure, for a split second. I was like, this is so surreal. And then people start talking and you're like, okay, we're doing this. New life. New world. My character is the same, you guys. I do less work than I did before. Stop it. Which was not a lot. Let's be honest. I was, it was, it was, let's be
Starting point is 00:23:02 honest. My character doesn't want to be filmed. Hello, what a great, it's a good thing to do. It's a great thing to play. But I thought this. It's a great thing. Don't film me. What are we doing? Stop. People, but people, but people, certainly throughout the life of the office kept like revealing things about your life
Starting point is 00:23:18 and about who you were and like engaging you more and more in it. It's a wonderful onion to get peeled. Yeah, because I've thought about this. Greg and Michael Coleman, you guys know Michael? Yeah. So Michael's the other creator. He's the other show running. But I've thought about this. I can't wait to do the show.
Starting point is 00:23:34 You know, we've had a show and thanks for putting us on. When you go into like to do I'm going to work on. When you go into do a role or whatever, you try to make choices and like where is this coming from and who has all this stuff. And I thought of it. this actually I remember being younger thinking about it in terms of Frazier where I was like oh he when they started Frasier he kind of all that he had already made all of the decisions it was a new
Starting point is 00:23:53 scenario but it was probably like oh I this is going to be a lot less work for me because I know what to do here so you sort of get to go oh I know this character I know the decisions I know how to play every beat I know how I would react in the scenario but I get to do it in a new way so I'm sure in some ways you were like very comfortable but also exciting at the same time I'm not going to argue. Do you want me to argue with you? But there's nothing. I agree with him 100%.
Starting point is 00:24:20 So there's nothing. Why are you so aggressive? You're aggressively notting. You're aggressively agreeing. It's weird how aggressive you're being with him. It's kind of was a fun of it. It's fine. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:24:30 But just Dan don't get over it. You guys turned it on me. I was being brutal. So Dan nailed it. The paper on peacock. What was it going to say? Hold on. Let me say something real quick before I forget.
Starting point is 00:24:40 So you guys. So we do this, we do the, the, the, Oh my God The premiere The premiere was like last week or something And so you So we do a Q&A And the guy
Starting point is 00:24:53 Moderating is As Nathan Fiedler Nathan Fiedler Oh I love him So Unreal So that was I'm like Nathan
Starting point is 00:25:02 Do you have a crew here filming you Right is this part of your Is this the next rehearsal He's so funny And then And so we took a picture Outside with him
Starting point is 00:25:11 And he was perfectly fine And normal and he said to us, is there any questions you guys don't want me to ask? And Alex says, don't ask us about the office. We're sick and tired of talking about it. So we sit down and... Immediately, that's the first question.
Starting point is 00:25:24 I was told not to ask you that. Why? Why don't you watch this? That's so funny. He's like a dog with a bone and it's really funny. Ridiculous. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:33 And he just zeroes in on it. All right. So the peacock, it's the paper on peacock. Watch it. Streaming on peacock. And they're all the episode or one episode. I think they're all available. Are they all available right now?
Starting point is 00:25:46 I think so, yes. Okay. On the fourth, what's today? Yeah, when this drops, it'll be out. Binge it, baby. It's cool being here today, you guys. Binge it. Binge it.
Starting point is 00:25:55 All right, I got a story. Send it our old buddy Elise LeBlanc. Love Elise. At Elise LeBlanc 70. Massachusetts woman. At E.E. Leblanc 70. Yeah. Look at that.
Starting point is 00:26:06 I know it. Massachusetts woman hit with five-figure medical bill after a wild bed. That flew into her mouth on vacation. Well, hang on a minute. Why are you vacationing underneath the bridge in Austin? Such a weird thing to go from there. She has to be asleep, right?
Starting point is 00:26:23 Honey, should we visit this lab in Wuhan? Yeah, sure. This has been, people have been visiting many bad caves for many years. Don't they say keep your mouths closed, everyone. Keep your mouth shut about this. Oh, the bats! The bats! Right in! Right there.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Don't say that word. Don't say bat. It opens your mouth too wide. Don't. Bats are looking. They live. in caves. So if you open your mouth, that is a smaller
Starting point is 00:26:46 cave for them to try. You're inviting them in. How big a mouth does this woman? Big enough. Do we have a, yeah? A woman on vacation. That's what Catherine Tramble got asked. A woman on.
Starting point is 00:26:57 How big is her mouth? They're always on vacation. They're never working. Here she is. Well, this is a key thing. I was just trying to enjoy myself. Speaking of the paper and a workplace comedy. A woman on vacation whose employer-sponsored health plan had lapsed.
Starting point is 00:27:11 After recently being laid off. wound up with over how much money in medical bills after a bat flew into her mouth. You said five figures, $70,000. Oh, my God. $10,000. Poor lady, 20? Get your answers in. One of you is exactly right.
Starting point is 00:27:27 It's me. $10,000. $70,000. $20,000. He walks in and he owns the room. What do I get, you guys? I don't know. Satisfaction.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Find out at the end. Eric McConnell gets her age at the end was visiting Glen Canyon National Recreation area and bat museum. Kidding. Where is it? What state? In Arizona. Okay, there we go.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Last August, when the horrific encounter with the winged mammal took place, things for reminding us. It's an accident. You're going to blame the canyon? The former biomedical engineer noticed a number of bats flying around while she was outside taking pictures of the night sky. Oh, she's not asleep. But didn't think much of it.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Yeah, no, this wasn't like asleep on her back. That was my first guess. So, up in Lake Tahoe, bats come out and they eat the mosquitoes. They're actually... Yeah, you want them. You want the bats to dive-bom. And Texas, too. That's what they do in Austin.
Starting point is 00:28:17 They dive-bom and they eat the... And they're actually quite useful and quite helpful. Yes. Just don't... It's like if it's snowing, you open your mouth, snowflakes come in. Don't open your mouth around the bats as they're dive-bombing. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:30 She didn't think too much of it. That is until one got too close for comfort, winding up trapped between her camera and her face. Oh, my God. When she screamed in terror... It went into her mouth. An unknown. part of the bat wound up in her mouth for a few seconds now is that a bad penis it's a bad penis what
Starting point is 00:28:47 else could it be exactly it can't be the winger they must be the penis that foot this is maybe it was a tribute to Ozzy Osmore right RIP yeah uh her father a physician who had been traveling with her said she should immediately start a course of rabies treatments even though she wasn't sure if she had been bitten no well listen to your dad as a doctor yeah also wouldn't you know if you've been bitten yeah it would hurt something poked me in there yeah yeah bad penis something something happened katherine trammle got on katherine trammle bad man's little robin came out and broke his sink uh her sink she quickly went online to purchase a medical insurance plan before
Starting point is 00:29:26 going to a hospital and flagstaff to begin treatments she's trying to that's right that's right under the impression would cover her two-week course of rabies shots which she received at clinics in arizona massachusetts and colorado 20,000 dollars for rabies shots dude something It is happened. Did something happen? You know what, guys, I'm starting to not like our medical system. You know, Dan, thank you for having the guts to say that. Was it just the rabies shots?
Starting point is 00:29:48 Yeah. She didn't realize the insurance plan. $100,000. That's not cool, man. That's not good. Her biggest shock when the bill arrives showing she owed $20,749. See, I grew up super rich. So, like, I've never really had to.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Dan, I don't even look at bills when they come, right? I don't know. I've spent most of my childhood on a boat. Throw them on the floor of your Rolls, Royce, and you drive away. Here's the, I want to say something, please. please your show is dumb town or whatever you guys read things that happen to dumb people yeah there's seven billion people in the world everything is going to happen right nothing should nothing should be a surprise everything will happen no we expected this bat to go into her mouth yes anything that's
Starting point is 00:30:26 possible is probably a bad breaking a sink in a bit everything is just happening yeah but also dumb $20,700 for treatment including four doses of rabbi vaccines and three shots of immunoglobin I love him. Close enough. That's not. To increase antibodies. That's it. That's all 20 grand for that.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Yeah. 20 grand for that. That is seven shots. You could buy the Batmobile for like probably close to that. We saw the Batmobile. I think if I'm uninsured, I'm going with, if I don't think I was bet, I wasn't bet. We're going to pretend I wasn't bit.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Why should you have to even make that choice? So last week after we recorded, last week after we recorded, I was dropping packages off to be returned. I got this phone call from him. And I, no, you got the text. And I started to feel a little sick. Then I went home and I started sweating. I had a huge pain in my back, lower back right there where my kidney is. And I was like, oh, God, I have a kidney stone. I have a kidney stone. Because it's happened before. You have it before. Same spot. Everything, I started hyperventilating. I could not get comfortable. I was in so much pain. I was crying. I text my wife. I'm like, where are you? She's like, I'm on my way home. I'm going to go to the store. I'm like, no, you're not. You got to get home.
Starting point is 00:31:38 You've got to take me to the Irish 31 hospital. Hospital. I got to go to the emergency room right now. Did you say to a bar? I said to Irish 33 to break a sink. And so I take four to leave. And I'm like, I'm going to throw up.
Starting point is 00:31:51 I do not feel well. I literally can't breathe. I'm hyperventilating. I'm going to pass out. I'm like, I don't know what's going on. My wife comes home. She's like, I haven't eaten anything all day. I'm like, I don't care.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I got to go. So I'm just going to go grab a few things. I'm like, I'm going in the car. I can't even breathe. I think I'm going to pass out. I'm dying. sweating white just like as like a ghost as we get to glendale more we're driving from you see a bat i see a bad and it flies into his mouth no i start to feel a little bit better yeah
Starting point is 00:32:19 we get up to the area where you drop off for the thing and there are parking spots where the emergency room all of them are filled but by the time i get there i'm feeling a lot better really and i was like turn around i said i'm not going in i was like i have a comedy show that night i got a meeting the next day. I got another thing that night. I got another thing the next night. I got something on Saturday. I'm not going in. You aired on the side of I'm going to be all right. For this very reason of what you just said, I'm like, I don't want to pay the bill. I don't want to do this thing. She didn't even have insurance. I said, I'm not going in. This lady. What do you think happened to you? I had a kidney stone and I just drank like concentrated cranberry juice for the next two days. You got it. I think maybe
Starting point is 00:32:55 I passed it. I don't know. Okay. She didn't realize. I hope I did. The insurance plan. I think so. She had purchased a day before starting treatment required a 30-day waiting period before coverage we kick in. Don't you think they'd be retroactive? Wow. They know. If you're calling on the fly, you need it right now. How can we screw you? That's the thing.
Starting point is 00:33:14 That's it. That's it. I thought it must have been a mistake. Yeah, she told the outlet. I guess I was naive. Yeah, you were. Yeah. Your dad's a goddamn doctor.
Starting point is 00:33:21 He should know. She didn't realize the insurance plan she purchased. When the bat flew in. Between the camera and her face. Wouldn't you just back up and. this movement? No, you suck in so the bat goes inward. Like, you wouldn't keep it trapped between you
Starting point is 00:33:36 and the camera. The bat trapper? Also. But you don't know what she... Just use your phone. You don't know what she was taking a picture. Maybe she's like, the light is leaving. I must have the bad. I'm getting the perfect picture. I got to get it. She's trying to get the shot. I'm getting shots literally of the bat going. Yeah. Fair.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Con told the outlet she's since gotten a new job and once again as health insurance. She negotiated some of the bills down a bit but said she's She still owes more than $19,000 for her treatment. So she hasn't negotiated it down at all, which she plans to continue appealing. I'd appeal to the end of time. Despite her horrifying encounter with wildlife, ripped from the stuff of nightmares.
Starting point is 00:34:14 It's ripped from headlines. Yeah. It's not ripped from the stuff of nightmares. You can say that. Could be a nightmare. Made from the stuff. Made from the newspapers is wrong. This is your worst nightmare of bad.
Starting point is 00:34:27 Made from the headlines. You guys. All this bat talk made me think of a joke. Yes, let's hear it. Let's go. Do you know who Pat McCormick is? Yes, great old writer. Yes, thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Gong show. Yes. And so, right, so he was a writer on Johnny Carson. Yes. I remember Johnny Carson used to do that joke. He would give the answer first. Carnack. Carrack.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Yes. So he wrote a joke that never got on the air. Okay. But this was the joke. Let me see if I don't want to mess it up. And it's bizarre. Let's hear it. Wild.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Wild. Yes, do it in voice. Let's do it. Let's do it. Please. Cock robin. Cock robin, yes. Cock robin.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Robin. Robin of cock, yes. Overs it, blows in there. What's this in my mouth, Batman? That's a great joke. It would never make it. It would never make it. But he wrote it.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Some are just for the room. God bless Pat McCormick. God bless Pat McCormick. Khan has said it hasn't put a damper on her love for the great outdoors. Well, that's good news. Goodness. I'm really happy to hear that. Still happy to hear. She says, I know what bats tastes like now.
Starting point is 00:35:34 It's an earthy, sweet kind of flavor, she joked to the outlet. It's actually a pretty funny story if it weren't for the horrible medical bill that came with it. I love when people go. Other than that, the play was great. Yeah. It's funny because we were all curious what bats taste like now we know. Thank you. How was the play, Mr. Lincoln?
Starting point is 00:35:51 Miss Lincoln. A mister. No, ask him. Ask him. He's dead. Other than that, it was around. This is the joke. How is the play, Mr. Lincoln?
Starting point is 00:35:59 the first act was great. Around 4,000 animal rabies cases are reported a year in the U.S., according to people, Center Disease Control and Prevention, with less than how many people dying. I can't believe that center is still operating. Yeah. How many people dying out of the 4,000, this should hopefully, I want to do this because I want the world to know.
Starting point is 00:36:21 It's awareness, yes. Just are what the threat is, okay? 4,000 animal rabies cases, they say less than how many people die. of the virus two. You say two? Yeah, I say two, two. Three. Ten. Less than ten. Because you have to really ignore. You got to really ignore what's going on. You have to have a snake. More than 90% of current animals like skunks, raccoons, foxes, and bats. Bats account for the highest proportion of reported animal rabies cases at how, at what percent? What percent? Sixty-one percent are all bats. Again, I'm thinking 60 percent.
Starting point is 00:36:54 I'll go 75. Aaron, you want to throw one in? Sorry, I missed the beginning. That's all good. 33%. Okay. Still a lot. One third of them are...
Starting point is 00:37:05 Then it's probably raccoons. Before we get out, let's guess how old she is. Erica Kahn, dad, a doctor, bat fluner house. No, it's either a young person with a fancy camera or an old person with a digital camera. Right. I'm going to go 44. She got laid off. I'm going to go 56.
Starting point is 00:37:22 38. That's not old, but... 38. You know. It's not old. 38's still with their dad. Yeah. Get your answers in.
Starting point is 00:37:29 this woman, Erica Khan, like the percentage of bat rabies cases. 33. 33 years old. I was right. There you go. 33 years old. I'll be gentle as I slide this across.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Rand's going to take us home and we'll tell you what we've got going on. That's it. Keep your mouth shut when you're around bats. Absolutely. I mean, is that so hard? Keep your mouth shut. And I've got a story about a postal worker going postal
Starting point is 00:37:53 in a different way on the other side of the break. Oscar Nunez is with us. The show is called The Paper. he was on the office. He's now on the paper. Similar style, but different show. And it's fantastic on Peacock. We'll be right back. Stick around. Make us down. Bunker down. It's dumb people town. Hey, guys, welcome back to the show. Before we get into this, let's talk about what we have going on. I'm not sure when this is going to drop. So let me just say we are going to be in, if we, if this is after it, thank you for coming. We're in Alaska. September 11th, Anchorage, 12th in Seward and the 13th in Valdez. The next week on the 18th, we're We're at the Austin, the state theater in Austin. Cool.
Starting point is 00:38:32 One night only. One night only. Come see us. 19th. We're at the Rialto Theater in Raleigh, North Carolina, which I'm very excited about that. And then Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 4th, that's the Wisconsin game. It's homecoming. We're doing two shows at the Ann Arborate Comedy Showcase there.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Then Flyover Fest in November with Daniel. We're going to do a live dump people town at the pageant theater. You're just doing a tagget. Yeah, we're going to have fun. I should ask them if they want me to do it in the Hub City shows. But everybody should come out to the Sunday show, dumb people talk. We spoke to your friend Wayne Marmot, too. I love Wayne.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Who is so cool. Cincinnati. I think we're going to do that show. There's a show. He's got like a 250-C venue. Gilchrist. Yeah. So we'll let you guys know.
Starting point is 00:39:11 But that is looking like it's materializing on December 12th, which is a Friday night. Haven't been to Cincinnati in a while. Haven't been to Cincinnati. We might go to Indianapolis, Alex Price, and do his room the next night on the 13th. Go to the Blue J. Diner when you're there. Oh, I'd love to. They shot the old man in the gun. They shot.
Starting point is 00:39:26 In Indianapolis? No. in Cincinnati. We're out of Montgomery and Boathouse and get some ribs and I love it. We'll be there. Superscloglars.com for all that stuff and then if we're,
Starting point is 00:39:37 we'll let you know about other things we're working on at the time. And let's jump into this show. Yes, let's do it. Let's do it. Here we go. Send in by David Fournier at DP-Fournier 2. He's got sends in a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Postal worker. And this is just, you either love the guy because he's like getting into it or you're like, why are you being so reckless with other people's packages. Sure. Oh, boy. Postal worker caught racing Mustang in USPS van. This guy could not let it go. Guy pulls up to a stoplight, says you ready to go. You want to roll? Let's roll.
Starting point is 00:40:11 And the part of him that's like, I'm a kid. I'm a kid. No, you're an adult in a postal van. You cannot do this. Yeah. And we'll talk about how fast he went. I'll ask you how fast he went in a, what zone he went later. Mustang, the car. The postal car. Yes, the car. Yes, the car. The Sandusky County deputy tells the driver, oh, he said, I'm like, oh, you got to be kidding me. Mm-hmm. Okay. Is there a reason you're going over a certain amount of dismissal?
Starting point is 00:40:43 He's probably English side driving because he's in a postal truck, right? So he said the video shows the deputy asking the driver to which the driver replies, I didn't realize I was going that fast. Mm-hmm. Sure. Fremont, Ohio, newly released video of a traffic stop on Route 20. West of Fremont shows body cam footage from Sandusky County Deputy. Oh my God. You just pulled over a USPS mail van for speeding going more than.
Starting point is 00:41:06 And we'll talk about this later in a blank zone. How fast can they go? I didn't realize those going that fast. Is it a postal truck? A van, a postal van. Not a truck. But I feel like they probably interchange it with truck to. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:41:19 According to the, I don't think it was the postal truck without the door on the side. I don't think it's open. That would be the best. That would be the great. That is like you're pushing that. How fast can that go? Probably catch on fire once you go up over 70. According to the tribe report, Sandusky County,
Starting point is 00:41:32 the van had no plates and the driver appeared to be racing a Ford Mustang. Also, asshole, then the Ford Mustang. Don't go this guy into a... Why are you baiting this guy? You don't rev at the line. They know each other from high school. That's exactly what I was about to say. A hundred percent what I was...
Starting point is 00:41:52 In the about Grant Ebley. Oscar, you're good at this. I'm going to kick your ass, Taylor Bass. in the body camp video. Hey, Rick, rematch. The deputy goes on to say, yeah, I mean, that Mustang took off. He caught my attention, and then you blew by him. So he won.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Probably because the Mustang saw the cop. Probably also because the Mustang's like, this guy's not in this race with me, and he laid off. And the other guy's like, I'm going full more. Postal worker identified himself as from the Fremont Post Office. The stop happened Sunday, April 21st, 2024. At what time? He may lose his job. What time?
Starting point is 00:42:26 It's got to be working out. Work hour. What do you think? Two in the afternoon. 12.30? 9.30 a.m. Get your answers in townies. One of you is nine minutes off.
Starting point is 00:42:35 151 p.m. Court records identify the driver as Drew Brown of Fremont. She waived the case, is the judge. Yeah, which now is now closed and paid. Oh, no. She waived the case and paid how much as the first installment of the fine. What's the traffic fine? for that speed
Starting point is 00:42:59 or for whatever they're saying the driver is a woman I don't know I'm not sure so does the judge the judge waived the case I think the judge waived the case okay she knows them when they were kids right it's a small town Sandusky Ohio yeah I'm gonna say
Starting point is 00:43:13 $600 that's that's so yeah I want to say 1,000 but I bet it's more like 600 350 bucks 240 oh it's not even bad spokesperson for the USPS email mailed 13 action news this statement. Drew Brown is an
Starting point is 00:43:30 employee. It's under investigation as a matter of policy. We aren't able to comment further on specific individual personal matter. Nadia Dahlia spokesperson of the U.S.P. Sir, made up name. Sure. Yeah. How old, first of all, was Drew Brown? How old do we think he was? 23.
Starting point is 00:43:46 23? How old is he? As a driver? 46. How old is? They've hated each other. They've hated each other. So I have, there was a class of 98. There's a guy who delivers the in my neighborhood who looks like Nick Saban, the former Alabama football coach, who is constantly talking to himself.
Starting point is 00:44:05 He is like a powder keg ready to go off, and he did. He no longer does it, but he was probably like 78 years old, 80 years old, angry as all get out, and would throw our mail, mail and packages just on our doorstep, like throw it at the door.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Like it looked like he was mad at the mail. Yeah. So you got to, leave of that guy alone. Right. How old is this guy? I said 50. Okay. Didn't you said how old? 23? 46. Okay. Drew Brown is 28 years old.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Hey! Oh, okay. Ten year high school reunion. All right. We're going to get out here on this. How fast? How fast could he go? And in what zone? So like, he's going this in a this. What do you think? 90 in 45. 90 and 45? Well, that's, you're gracious. I think we're local. I'm going to do, he's doing
Starting point is 00:44:56 He's doing 65 and a 30 65 and a 30 Okay In the school zone Right He's going 50 and a 20 Okay Get your answers in townies
Starting point is 00:45:06 The show is called the paper It's on peacock All right Daniel Listen to the midnight air It's a fantastic It's so good And then come see the three of us
Starting point is 00:45:15 In St. Louis Absolutely In mid-November See these boys in Austin Yeah that's where the flyover fest is We're doing in our hometown We're doing it at the pageant theater And go to Austin to see these two
Starting point is 00:45:24 Oh my God Come see us like This man, Drew Brom 28 years old, USPS was going. Oh, okay. A hundred miles an hour. What? It's a new van.
Starting point is 00:45:36 It was a new van. In a 60 zone. Which is not that bad. 40, though, 40 miles off. More miles over. That's crazy. A hundred miles out. That is crazy.
Starting point is 00:45:45 And during working hours. So like, it is crazy that he's doing this now. Maybe he's trying to show FedEx. One little swerve. 80s is bad. 100 is so irresponsible 100 is you can't see your kids that's nuts yeah that is crazy but I will say this everything's relative if you're out on the freeway and you're driving like to phoenix and you're in the open road and we were going 95 almost 100 to Phoenix it was like but you weren't in a van
Starting point is 00:46:14 we're not delivering mail no so that's what he did it's just going to look hey the lord you didn't go post on anybody but the road there you go that is a show you guys we love you thanks for supporting us.
