Hey folks, Jonathan here from Dwarfortress Round Table.
Because of events that were out of our control that were just about as 20-20, as you can possibly imagine,
we were not able to actually record an episode to be released today.
Now, don't worry, we will have an episode for you next Sunday.
But in the meantime, we thought that we would introduce you to something new.
We're going to try.
Consider this a pilot of Dwarf Fortress Action News.

This is Dwar Fortress Action News for the weekending Saturday, September 26th, 2020.
Earlier this month, TOTI-1 participated in two packs online 2020 videos.
The first was a Q&A session with Kit Fox Games captain Tanya X Short.
They discussed the upcoming Steam Itchio release and various topics Dwar Fortress-related.
He was also in a panel hosted by Tanya X Short.
entitled Procedural Generation in 2020.

from the game Darkest Dungeon,
Jason Grimblatt from Caves of Cud,
Andy Wynn from the game Industries of Titan,
and Aidan Saltsman from the game Overland.

Kit Fox Games released a new video
on their YouTube channel.
The title is Dwar Fortress Steam,
autumn dev update gameplay menus zones in the video tody discusses the work that's taken place on the steam itchio version of the war fortress since the first look update that came out last spring notably the video demonstrates gameplay with the new graphics and improved interface including improved ways to place zones and stockpiles
on september 26th a new entry of dev notes was released by bay12 games dot com toty comments on the effect of environmental conditions on recent
development both from the massive fires in the western United States and a landlord who doesn't
understand the workflow of an indie developer. He also discusses recent work on game art,
stockpiles, and zones. Blind IRL noted on his YouTube channel that he'll be interviewing
21 on his Twitch TV stream at 6 p.m. Eastern, 3 p.m. Pacific on October 1st. That will be
midnight, October 2nd, in European Central Time. Blind I.R.
is currently soliciting questions for the interview in the comments for the announcement video on his YouTube channel.
Finally, we'd like to remind everyone that Rogelike Celebration 2020 takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 3rd and 4th as a virtual event.
The Rogelike Celebration is a community-generated weekend of talks, games, and conversations about roguelikes and related topics, including procedural generation and game design.
It's for fans, players, developers, scholars, and everyone else.
included in the lineup is the presentation from Tanya X. Short entitled
A Procedure for Changing Culture.
This will be the fifth roguelike celebration, which is typically a live event,
but has been moved online only this year because of COVID.
