Starting point is 00:03:35 test, test, test that I hear fine? Yep, good and clear. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Okay, good, good. All right. Good to go. Nice, everybody. Welcome to this week's Brick Talk.
Starting point is 00:03:55 A less visual brick talk, if you will. Are there only this week? Let me start off. I could every week by reminding everybody that nothing I said on the show should be taken anyway shape or
Starting point is 00:04:08 performance investment advice. I'm not an investment advisor than I is an investment advisor while he's on the show is not acting as an investment advisor and you should only make your investment decisions with the help of our investment advisor
Starting point is 00:04:21 in a session that is geared towards your specific goals and needs, all right? So don't embarrass anything just because we talk about it. And as I said, it's a week, it's a less heavy week. For brick thought maybe, but not certain
Starting point is 00:04:36 not for the market. It's been a hell of a week for the mark here. What's up then I hope? How has the week been for you? I guess, quite a week. Yeah, good week. It's a good week. Yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Fresh off of the, um, fresh off of the, um, squash, I think maybe is the, is the, is the biggest thing this week? I would say so. I would say so. I would say so. It's a much of the 150. Yeah, probably.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, my. 75 is. It's a lot. 150. Yeah, man. Starting seal and delivered indeed. Yeah, definitely the biggest thing this week and I'll say maybe.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Yeah, and biggest thing also in terms of the the turnout, I think, for the final vote that Scotia had, Scotia had, Scoti and shareholders had, I heard I said, well, almost over five. Randy? Yeah, I think so I think that's over 500 people were there. Yeah, man, you're not hearing? Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, yeah, man, I hear you now.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yeah. Boy, look like, I can think they're in. Yeah, I mean, they're running for prime minister. It was quite, I think, they, quite the vote. By that's the fun thing, everybody, big lines for going in, wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, quite the set up. I tweeted it, but I'm extremely, I was actually happy to, to one, yeah, man, to one, hear the voices come out talking about what I wanted. And two, I mean, seeing that I vote for it.
Starting point is 00:06:30 And as I said, I don't know if I said it if I tweeted this, but, I mean, Scotia did, I have said it. I think you said it last week when I listened on that, you know, Scotia obviously had this thing set up. From the jump, it was obviously if you know what's going on, that they had this thing set up. And they approached it in a way that is, I would say, very, very, very, very, I don't know, well thought out from the jump. Yeah, with a new approach to what they'd have.
Starting point is 00:07:08 I think that's on its own, like I could do, I probably will do, you know, a whole episode around, get a whole episode around that or maybe something maybe write about it or something but just around what it what the new steps are and how things
Starting point is 00:07:26 work now with what is happening with the this is the change it's because it's not really a change right it's it's in how the interpretation of the law thanks to thanks to cable and wireless
Starting point is 00:07:41 just something that we've said over the years the cable and wireless lawsuit I should say something that we've said something that we've said over the years but I think there's the first real big test of it on the public markets yes yeah I believe so yeah so I'm I mean I'm happy to see what happened there either way yeah yeah I wish you wish every every election I got this yeah right and the level of preparation I think that's like you know the respect there I don't want to put as like adversarial like the enemy but
Starting point is 00:08:15 you know the respect is obviously obviously has to be there because of the level of work that Scotiah had to do around getting especially the minority vote how they wanted. I mean granted it's still a lot of the same tactics I'm sure but it it certainly showed itself in one that the increased offer and two just the whole and I don't know if you hear me, you still hear me the night? No you see I was it. I saw that it said that it Yeah, I send the whole marketing around the offer. Yeah, the whole marketing around the offer and the whole, the whole approach to the offer because I'm having to sway retail investors and having to, you know, really pay attention to retail investors and take certain other moves to make sure that you, you, you do, you sway retail investors.
Starting point is 00:09:23 And some retail investors, you know, made their voice is heard in more than one way. so it shows itself in the form of the 75 price which boy for the market that as i bought it what a hell of a thing they've gotten a hell of a thing for cheap she she shit yeah i agree but price is a price eh why yeah yeah yeah really interesting know these things but yeah but yeah hmm I'll say it's a reflection of the market if it's cannot it in a way it can be you know runs cheap in not Australia not Australia oh not not not sorry of the market more of a yeah that's funny yeah I would almost own other type saying boy market isn't mature in that way
Starting point is 00:10:25 like you know um this is that that's the fact that the offer will have if a offer goes through on something like that and there's a small section say i would say in this case would you say a small section or is it that would i say a small section or is it or is it or is it that the small would you say it's a small section saying it's cheap or would you at the next way that the small section but saying it's not that accepted having of power in that in the ring. I don't know. I'd say. Yeah, I mean, it's hard to know, right?
Starting point is 00:11:14 I don't. Yeah, it's hard to know. But I'd say that it's what it says to me is that, like I don't think anybody thinks that it's not a cheap thing. I think everybody knows that it's, it's, it is what it is like, like they're getting they're getting they're getting extremely cheap i think i think all people involved know that i mean we had you hear or listen i was saying last week yeah he um in in in support of the offer obviously you know showing his hand there but um
Starting point is 00:11:56 while he came out in support that offer even he had to shirk away from approaching just a clear point I think it's cheap. I'm getting... If you get something worth a million dollars for... 400,000. He wants to 500. 400,000. Why not?
Starting point is 00:12:14 Yes. Everybody involved knows that it's cheap, but yeah, I wouldn't... I wouldn't shirk away from what you say. It's not like it's good or bad. It's just... It is what it is. It is reflective of where the market is. Yeah, the market, like the greater market that speaks about value and all of that.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Yeah, that's... It's just showing that it's just a... talk right and the value is what we've always said the value is what your boss tells you to say it is yeah yeah so it is and hey well exactly so if that's where it is that's where it is if the market decides and then it's a still then I really can can want more money on technical more you know work like that yeah or make a difference exactly and hey it work out great i would say work out great for all involved but there are much worse outcomes right so a bunch of a bunch of um yeah a bunch of entities a bunch of
Starting point is 00:13:18 pensions a bunch of people going to get a lot of money um cash in u s dollars you know much they love u s dollars my god so a lot of people are going to get a lot of cash in us dollars um i i you probably that's all that's actually surprised that the b ojo's are low in that I wonder if thing, I should wonder if it's it thing, yeah. How they'll work it? Unless it's just wait, so it go. Again, that market is that market. But yeah, it's a lot of money to pull in the current in one transaction.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Yeah, I think they're prepping for the notice, at least I've noticed a bunch of institutions offering special deals on US. over the last few days and weeks and and the knock-on effects of this yeah as in you can get a great rate I think as a VM up to a few days I've got sent out and notice about meaning for selling like just great rates on both both on buying and set I want a great rate in opposite direction but I not see you where that necessarily appears well there
Starting point is 00:14:43 Because wouldn't the idea be that... Great rates. When you say great rates in opposite direction, what you mean? From what to what? I mean, I sell my USD for great rates. I mean, say my USD for good rates recently. Yeah. For what...
Starting point is 00:14:59 More than a surprise too. The host is... Yeah, well, the host is coming out and saying literally that, like having a promotion, like I've never gotten a VM email about that before. And it was like a one-day only thing. So I think, you know, you go within the space that, like, the money has. to be found in certain places. And I actually wondered if certain parties weren't maybe using
Starting point is 00:15:24 it to have a, or may not still use it to have a better. So I decided to even know how to say it publicly. But if you know the deal, you know when they're going to, when there's a date at which the US dollar, like the rate as of this date, you know, X amount of days ahead of the whatever days, the rate. So if you can, if you can, influence the rate on that day that's the rate that's going to be used for the transaction you get me so yeah i mean that that's that yeah that that's that yeah that's clear to those who know what it is and unclear to those who don't i mean anybody who want who can you come to grow or you can come on and come on and learn about it or whatever yeah you can ask or whatever and of course i's the rind out the
Starting point is 00:16:19 the invite to everybody if you want to you on jump it on the conversation and speaking requests you'll see you love to hear from you love to hear your thoughts on this and of course what next i tell the honest truth though actually kind of tired of here and talking about school shots the last video only for me alone jesus like i'm actually i'm actually happy that half a part it's over because god said nick nick we're just at the last part right now
Starting point is 00:16:45 which is the yeah which is the what next where is the Scottish money going to go which is I mean how often have you been
Starting point is 00:16:58 asked over the last few days too too often yeah it's it's it's uh it's an extremely funny
Starting point is 00:17:13 I think The conversations are on that are extremely funny. And of course, not just funny, but profitable for those who are also who know to navigate it. But you know what next is a real question. So I'm sure if people have those questions, we'd love to hear that from you too. Matter of fact, I leave that. So if anybody actually wants to have that conversation, you can come on and have it. If nobody does that.
Starting point is 00:17:34 You know, I'll have that with the grow grads privately then if nobody wants to. And then in the shadow of the Scotia stuff, we've had other little things happening, right? so I remember a couple weeks ago? I said a couple weeks ago at this point as it may have been. When was Tom Singh's on talking about her
Starting point is 00:17:55 thoughts around Elite? Week before last? I started a week before that. No, it's much longer than that because you were here last week you weren't here a week before that and even then was a couple weeks before then.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Yeah. So it's, I mean, elite. Going down a road that, I don't know, is it her expected road, if she's here, she can come on and say what you think. I don't know if she's going to be saying the same exact things again, but obviously going on a road, new ownership and I want a new market control because you saw that notice today? Yes. well
Starting point is 00:18:53 I think I think you're talking about the same not which one which one are you thinking of uh the well somebody buy enough and they
Starting point is 00:19:06 they never say nothing to you so speak to you speak up that that's a gist I get from me yeah it's like yo
Starting point is 00:19:15 yeah there's market rules but we're the side of your own rules that's his madness no like is that is that
Starting point is 00:19:24 I even thought of it like you know i buy i buy and i raise i have 50 i'm going to say it quick and not not to mention the past the part not to mention that i passed 20 already i never said nothing unless i don't know unless they were already above 20 but the fact that we buy enough no no no it weren't and then and then moseil quick and this and something yeah uh and i saw that i saw that ask and say, hey, within this period, you're right above, you know, so, well, go on, and we'll ask about it. That's a while. So how do we get there?
Starting point is 00:20:12 Yeah. The corner, does that happen? I mean. I think if you're buying, you know, we're doing, right? I mean. I'm planning, man. So I, somebody signed about, oh. So this I plan to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:20:30 I grow about it. I transition, but, yeah, it is. showing to me the MO it's showing the MO of the people involved so I don't think that there's a plan well no I shouldn't say I don't think there's a plan I do think there's a plan it it's showing yeah poor poor planning poor skill you know understanding of the market rules yeah yeah it's sloppy it's very hard to be there I maybe because maybe that's my personal bias on how I think I think so it's very odd to me that we're end up in a situation and you know we're here in this way sloppy man it's sloppy I thought
Starting point is 00:21:18 they were up to up to two literally up to the notice today because uh the people in the group yeah yeah I fully thought yeah a lot of the tools that we have you know two years of nice two years yeah well I had it the date down so in the group calendar in the group calendar I had you know like today's a day where we have to hear something based on certain points right yeah man yeah so when i so when i saw when i saw the when i saw the notice i did i i i saw the the post but i didn't actually read i couldn't you same time bro so i read it yeah i saw the headline yeah so then i see and i noticed that um you know this headline so i actually thought okay okay, then get them stuff together now.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Because, you know, the last you notice has been kind of crappy, word files. You can tell, somebody sent somebody, and instead of deleting the words and the template, then just adding the numbers in front tight. Poor things like that, right? That's cool. Yes, bro. Those notices were having me laughing because I was like, I, yeah, man. Somebody never read this.
Starting point is 00:22:35 You know, I think somebody, more people never read this. you know what i think it is and send the notice for your fulfilling what it is so i send it a template so it says in it number of shares so you're supposed to know say delete number of shares and type in yes i'm putting the number and it was years somebody to put it says like it's like 45 million number of shares that's you know what that is
Starting point is 00:23:12 those are the people who copy copy your test and write your name copy your own yeah man I copy your name too bro it's sloppy
Starting point is 00:23:23 I look at it and it's like everybody in this chain everybody in that chain you does press send exactly no you have to put in the number oh no I'm put you in the number man all right just send it
Starting point is 00:23:35 they probably send it probably sent from them phone that's the truth it looked like it probably it probably sent from them phone yeah I look like I sloppy but are you not giving them some grace I'm saying all right it's soon so the thing so when I saw the notice today and I say okay come out on a letterhead PDF ah so now the real thing isn't because remember I'm expecting to that to be the real the real yeah like you know no at this point I'm thinking the boss is actually in control now. So forget the little rubbish that you've seen before. See the clean thing here, right? This is
Starting point is 00:24:12 this is how we are, this is our first chance to start showing that that we are, um, we are at, like this is our first chance to show our standard. You get me? So, you know, they're going to do the usual lie, no take over at first maybe. but you can show that you've taken it over. Like, you know, the standard has immediately raised. Jenna them put on them go, uh-uh. What's some rubbish on a PDF?
Starting point is 00:24:53 Oh, God. Like, I see it and I was like, eh, you don't know how I'm disappointed. I still think of us and then on top of it, maybe, I don't know, Maybe it's just, maybe it's something in the air. But, like, I read, like, the O'O Today article, and I'm thinking, that's the usual disappointment. You know, the watchers on the wall don't know what I'm watching for either.
Starting point is 00:25:25 No, no, like, it's the blind, blind police and the blind. Oh. You've never what? No, the idea would be thinking that in him again. the water's bad I never seen one I think I'm looking for I've never seen one before
Starting point is 00:25:47 so so I'm supposed to see you're saying we're confused yeah like why aren't they what's exactly what happened yeah that's exactly
Starting point is 00:26:01 it's like it's how I always draw the reference to football how I never expect the team to say that they're actually that they've actually bought the ball up
Starting point is 00:26:11 right them tell lie right up until the moment. No, we're not, we're not, no, we're not, no, we're not, no, there's no such, there's no such talk, no such talk, and then deadline they're done and I've got, congrats, welcome to the club, we have this. 300 million to pay for, we pay for, for, for, for, for, for, killing them back here, or wherever, and you had a 300 million euro deal without any negotiation?
Starting point is 00:26:38 No, of course, we negotiated. When you negotiated, over the last two weeks, you mean, when you're telling us that you weren't negotiating, but, you know, these things are. I'm kind of used to that, right? So I know they're not going to tell us certain things to a certain point, but they're also not allowed to lie to us. So they have to speak very carefully. The general, them don't know the careful speaking. Now what they're like, uh, no, I'm going to take it back. In fact, in fact, in the notice, in the notice, they said more. So again, up on, I expect, up until today, I thought there was a strong,
Starting point is 00:27:17 of competence behind this thing right so i'm like yo today's notice we're gonna show what's really going on um like and and and i guess it did you know i i guess it did it's just it's i just what a day i just disappointed you know i really my fingers were across i was at you man something you know and they must see that i'm like this not real no not serious right except they have done some serious things indeed indeed yeah i wonder if them know i wonder if them go to them yeah so so i think i think they know because of of of course I think I know because of like the, I have taken, like, like, the, the, the 50% and we have, nobody currently owns 50%. I don't say it worked, my boy.
Starting point is 00:28:36 I don't say it work. I don't say it work. I don't say it work. Like, even if you split it up within your group, like, I don't say it work. I don't say it work. I don't think that So this tells me that there's nobody Behind the scenes that actually knows
Starting point is 00:28:57 Exactly, I actually know, say, Oh, yeah, man, this is how we have to do the thing That we're doing. A buckups We'll buy the thing, you know, and then we'll buy the thing And then we'll buy the thing, and wait a minute, I said, why do you have to do that too? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:15 What you mean? All right, all right. Sell this. Sell this, then. Sell this for you? Sell that part here. So now we're not over it, right? We're not over the 50%
Starting point is 00:29:23 they might figure it out. That's not how it works. It's not how it. So they quick, quick, quick, the nod of a seat. Exactly. Exactly. Like, you know, that's not how it worked.
Starting point is 00:29:36 But it tells that there's nobody who knows. And worse, the articles give me the impression that, as I say, nobody watching knows either. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. In fact, it made me think, when you, it made me think when you do Brits out this week, don't go, they're going to explain it all. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:30:03 I was reading it, I was like, yeah, you know, it works off. I told you, I fully expected to be, you know, happy to say, Randy, you know, easy. So, got it on the same page. No, no, no, I read it? Yeah, yeah, no, no. I read it and I was like, yeah, I'm not going to be the one to go out there as usual and go explain it. And then next week, suddenly everybody understands it. It's all right.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I'm sure there's some people out there who understand it. And I can also be the person who can help you understand it. You cut the check and I'll be that person. But unless you're cutting that check, make it stay. This is, this is somebody doing some serious things and seriously. Very unseously. Yeah, and there's opportunities for profit. Who can afford it.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Work it out. yeah exactly exactly you spent you spent them broke hundred million net most though most right i i want so i think yeah i think one i think at one point i looked at it and i have 200 i have over 200 million in my mind but i don't have like i think i'd worked up back at the envelope and i's like 200 million but i don't know where i have that 200 million from son i swear to it but i think them them over 100 million no they're definitely over 100 million because one piece was 85 yeah yeah they're over 200 million almost certainly so I guess we're all going to find out together um and for of course the investors listening this is another example of why you need to understand this thing you need to have some idea even if you don't understand
Starting point is 00:31:48 everything you need to have some idea about how things work in order to spot up opportunities and if it's one thing I said for us investors or this is that one thing I could change it I would change stop looking to the companies to tell you how things go yep yeah bro so much so much so it not works so yeah yeah exactly Everybody involved Wow This one is Great man
Starting point is 00:32:31 I was dumbed I was dumb calling you bro I'm overha It's funny to me I said I care this And then I remember the number of shares I'm like
Starting point is 00:32:40 I guess I guess I guess it can be I guess I guess I read it I read it It was so bad
Starting point is 00:33:05 I don't say it was bad It was so Surprising to me That I read it once I read it I read it more than once I read it once I close it back
Starting point is 00:33:20 I'm a move on That's how disappointed I was And I opened it As like Logo Yeah Peter
Starting point is 00:33:32 Yeah The corporate governance chair also has resigned. Bro. You look on that and you're like, well. That's going on. That's off here. Yeah. Like, yo, you get me like this.
Starting point is 00:33:56 I get. The front appearance. You're in your front of appearance. Like, yo, this is the chance. This sets the tone. I'm not saying that you can't come back from it. I'm not saying it's not come back from it. The truth is so many people ask that, that, that, yeah, we have a very forgiving market, but, come on, man.
Starting point is 00:34:24 You, you would, you would set a different standard. You could have set a different standard, especially no. Like, I think no, also it's so important, the standard that you set. that's my view anyway very very interesting that's my view extremely interested man it's disappointing to you have I said
Starting point is 00:34:58 you know I go through things I break them down three or four different ways but read the thing one time and lock it back I read it one time it's on with my day that's how disappointed that was
Starting point is 00:35:13 like Jano like I think I think you know what I think it is I think I think
Starting point is 00:35:27 I think my approach to the market staging wickedly like we get too much disappointment for the market now in things I said a time people might not understand what I mean
Starting point is 00:35:43 I know you have a better idea because you experience a whole leap for the disappointment thing yeah like we're not talking about like profits are losses okay that's my way
Starting point is 00:35:53 there's very often that person doesn't know better that person yeah man it's like too often yeah
Starting point is 00:36:01 or like yo you're going to here so are you taking the worst route or you're leaving
Starting point is 00:36:12 you're leaving you're leaving things on the table or you or you that happens a lot a lot left on the table but you're hearing it's frustrating
Starting point is 00:36:24 something I'm talking about you like this because you're not I can't have you being pessimistic I find myself to be the pessimist and I truly do need your optimism in 10 times but if I go around it
Starting point is 00:36:41 definitely how much times I have too little ambition for people and you have and you have and you have too much and it work out in the middle that's happened too often bro so I'm sorry yeah yin and young boy but boy he why I don't know that they don't know we just right right but we don't know I said I'm really thing I'm saying we too with the pandi yin now I said I said I can't believe it and then we remember the number of shares Mr. John knows that.
Starting point is 00:37:16 Are you seeing people? Of course. Wow. Well. Brother. Right. And then the note, the notice,
Starting point is 00:37:30 bro, I, I think, you know me. Like I say, it's not even like I read it four or five times and disappointed. I read it once. I don't think there's anything in life that I read once.
Starting point is 00:37:45 Yeah, that's funny. Because I never read back something because me read on luck you, I said, and you point out to, you know, and said, this is the good thing in, I'm saying, I'm open about it. I'm saying, you're right. So that's funny. Wow.
Starting point is 00:38:00 Wow. Wow. No, but no, they said things in there, no. No, there said things in there that. There is. I'm not going to act in there, no. But none of it. It's very anchor characteristic for you.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Whoa. Wow. Wow. But vex, But vex, but vex, but vex, but vex, but vex, but vex. I don't know why it hurt me so much. Yeah, I can't mean. And this is something that is.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Because it's true is something. You can put out of ambition behind. You can look up and say, you're doing something. All of the moves seem very strong. Intentional. And then we end up where, where that reach you? No, man.
Starting point is 00:38:42 I'm going to try a thing, dog. That's what it looked like. It looks like I try a thing. But this is. not trying kind of work this is exactly
Starting point is 00:38:49 you have too much when I try I'm trying too many I'm disappointed my number disappointed well
Starting point is 00:39:04 no so even those things I saw and as shoddy as they were like I said I look on it and I'm like
Starting point is 00:39:13 you know somebody sent to somebody people busy people in middle of things somebody sent on them phone it tells me something still what I get them home? Right.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Jenner them say and then anyway, we have written them and I ask them to tell Anyway, I see I see Rick Kottas sent a speaking request I'm still on
Starting point is 00:39:39 Holden 20 hour more I said I read it one time than I lock it back. I read it I saw things below the surface I lock it I mix it with what I already knew. Breadder. A fun review of this list of top.
Starting point is 00:40:02 Ah, yo. This one was something. I'll break up a thing there now, industry this now. Yeah. Serifil. That's good. Yeah, I feel. This is an expert.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Are you people? What are you doing? They did not call you answer. They don't know. Yeah, no, no. No, no. It's funny. No, you are an expert, you know, much more.
Starting point is 00:40:26 I felt compelled. Are you deducting them for a car to their market? Talking to you. My, no. People are bigger than me, bro. Everybody bigger than me. Yo, I felt compelled to jump on because the sentiment, like, you know,
Starting point is 00:40:41 I never said nothing of the group about this. Me and you not talk, Randy. Me and you not talk than I about this thing. I think maybe a lot, a couple days ago, I would have commented on the other notices, the previous notices. The number of shares. But what you say just now
Starting point is 00:41:02 are the same way of feel because I'll come off this eddy-focal shit show and then the varying emotions around what happened with Scotia, right? Obviously, Scotiah is Scotiah, they
Starting point is 00:41:27 then execute them thing well, right? Then do them thing. But I was also, I was encouraged. Not to cut it. It's not the outcome I would have wanted. Yeah, my mom. Sorry. Sorry, I shouldn't cut you.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Finish your point, Phil. I'll say it after. Yeah, it's a series of things going on, right? leading up to this elite thing and yes as I stand behind what I said Eddie focal chitro and then followed by
Starting point is 00:42:01 um yeah that and fucking mine represent of minor to shareholders make a number of as known or are breaking up yeah
Starting point is 00:42:20 yeah I'm on shop here. Stand up close to the rotor. How is it? No. Still not good? I mean, a little better, a little better. A little better.
Starting point is 00:42:35 A little better. We're hearing you clearly. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So you say, where you said that, then he said the score shutting and minority and then it kind of went out. Yeah, the minority. Not the outcome I would have wanted,
Starting point is 00:42:46 but I was happy to see the minority share a little. I think it's important for the... One of the... ...you know? Yeah, you're going up again. Yeah, gone again, Phil. I'm talking to money too much, man. Like that?
Starting point is 00:43:21 Still no good. Testin, testing, testin. Say Scotia was a good off. say Scotia was a good offer. Testing, test. Same thing. Yeah. Look at that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Yeah, bad. The visual is repeatable. Everything after the edit vocal rubbish. Yeah, and then yeah, Scotia, not the outcome I wanted, right? I would have wanted, but it's
Starting point is 00:44:05 it was good to see the minority shareholders retail investors making them voices heard showing and understanding of the process and showing up and getting involved right and on top of that there's a there's a separate um corporate action out in the out in the ether there now in the process of executing something yes yes you know up to their standard as we'd expect And then the elite thing For a long time now We've been talking about Elite look like
Starting point is 00:44:45 I mean even before Tom Singh spoke Right We've been thinking Elite is a target But she wouldn't know that but yeah Right she wouldn't know that Yeah
Starting point is 00:44:58 A good takeover target And then them start making some move We see the move We see the show start move and then I dis, the man them come, like, my literally look on the thing I read halfway through and my kiss me to you.
Starting point is 00:45:13 I just kiss me to you, but no even send on in the goal. They are just as confused as everybody else and that is interesting. Everybody needs to sing confused. Everybody in it confused. Buy our seller and companies. The sellers and the buyers and the company. Like, what's going on?
Starting point is 00:45:31 What is going on? Yeah. I have I have a mentor but the mother mentor not a bruise for both too you say that's where I'm coming from there
Starting point is 00:45:43 of that like a Scottish loaner people know the market rules my brother Scotia oh my god you know the point you want people listen to this understand
Starting point is 00:46:00 yeah I want people understand it's like oftentimes because I talk to some many investors especially retail investors I know that I know that people tend to think very black and white especially when we're not having a kind of conversation
Starting point is 00:46:20 so I'm just thinking lose money or make money or mash up or don't mash up yeah like it's not that it's like it's like it's like your Bertrand I tell you say he must save for the last two years call you'll me a buy the dream care, the man I get the whip, the beast escape on the toll, trust me.
Starting point is 00:46:41 And every day I tell you, and in last week, him say, oh, me get the thing in there, you say, come leak me. And here, come round the corner. And he's at 2006 pro boxes, he said, come. I saw the... Yeah, and you know, say, it's not something that you would have... Like, you're just happy for the man, right? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Who's him hype it up. It's not necessarily something you would have directly profit from. But pro-backs will get. No, man, don't get me wrong enough. Profit is, profit is clear enough. Yes, yeah, man, a significant, you know, stop it's just. A copretion. But imagine if everything was running properly where he should have run.
Starting point is 00:47:24 Everything running smoothly. Then, this is all, so to some of the delay in profit time and something. Right. Not only that. The problem with improperly executed corporate action is that we make moves based on based on things that we can predict.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Yeah, known timelines. Known rules being followed but if the man them set up for rubbish. It's also trust that the person that's doing the process is... Is capable? They're doing... It's very serious business. You're going through this process and whatever.
Starting point is 00:48:16 You're telling me you don't know the process? That you... I know, I'm a comment and I read and think about something about people that do. And you are doing it. You actually doing it? It's, oh, I'm not, I know, from all ourselves, booking at the thing being done. It's the people who are doing the thing.
Starting point is 00:48:41 They're in it. You start, all these things and at this point, after going through, all you're telling me, oh, you know, somebody you know, what is supposed to do? Crazy. That's the, that's the thing that's the biggest thing to me. Yeah. All I'm thinking is Jesus.
Starting point is 00:49:02 So, it's not that there isn't profit there. is that there is no bigger I guess that's what disappoint me I don't feel like there's any I'm always looking for bigger hope for the market yeah but all I'm thinking is yeah if this is if this was coming
Starting point is 00:49:20 the standard the standard the standard now rise the standard drop perfect that they're still yeah take over yeah they're taking so it's just to me it's like market against way with this right because because then you're telling me again you made a plan
Starting point is 00:49:35 around doing this and whatever and your first step in that plan you're last about it so when you reach to section d me not go fee say you last but when you come in when you come and you do it and after everything's out out of ain't go go get this company me not go fee say last too again this is this if i say more Bro, I'm disappointed, man. Disappointed, disappointed. I was hopeful. You know what I'm trying to get about things,
Starting point is 00:50:16 activity on the market, more than those all shirot fly past it. Oh, somebody taking an active interest in a list of company to this degree, do you know what ever, and then, I'm going to hear you say. I'm just clearly doing all the process. The process that they're doing. Jesus, man.
Starting point is 00:50:36 they're dude and uh boy over 200 mil and then and then bro every part of it again you know this also isn't just elite board right in this you know this is cute corporate so forward limited they call public secretary so it's a lot of peace it's not moving moving parts here and i'm wondering who is clear on what should be done and whatever. They have a mentor.
Starting point is 00:51:14 They have engaged corporate services, corporate company secretary services. They have a board. Right. What's going on? I think we're seeing what's going on.
Starting point is 00:51:34 And then it's also the people that is it even doing the trades and all so everybody confused yeah and it stands from it is it's it's almost like they're they're they're telling us but we last too you know so it even feel in a way like an excuse you know like they're coming to us to tell us we should have better news but i need to get to those people to figure out what's going on so be here with me Yeah, yeah, pretty much. It's crazy.
Starting point is 00:52:14 It's actually crazy. Okay, I should be telling this news, because I'm coming on this day where we should be reporting certain things. We have, and what you're telling me is, you know, I'm going to send him a message, you know, and I'm going to respond and tell what we need to know. Ah, if I speak. If I speak.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Yeah, it's the, it's the, killing of the it's a killing of the optimism that's bothering me you're right then i'm always i'm always the one that's you know i have an optimistic slant to it but marie de son and the little voice made started optimistic i'm like oh shut up there's no there's no like i i can put I can put an optimistic spin to it. But, but, but there's, no, you know what, you know what this is. What was cube, was cube corporate always in? Or this is the first support has, has come in?
Starting point is 00:53:32 They're on the, um, they're on the, um, they're on the 20, 24, 25 annual report. Okay, so they're not new. So they're not new to the company. They're also on the, yeah, they're not new to the company. Okay. You're the company secretary. But I think, but I could be wrong. I could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:54:02 I could be wrong, but I think, I think they were not on, I don't remember seeing them on any of the shareholder movement notices. So I am. And they're, mental. I'm inclined to think that this is them coming in and going, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is not how it goes, guys. Wall on. But you, I feel like this is the first time that them, you know, you know, like,
Starting point is 00:54:41 you can just pull up the handbrakes of a stop. You have, you have a, you have a, you have a, you have to slow down. you know, you can't, when you're a drive, you can't just feel the kind of neutral and you're, you can't do that you mash up the transmission, right? Manor I help your drive, my now tell you over drive, but as I say, if you do this, you're much up. I feel like this is them coming and going,
Starting point is 00:55:01 yo, what the hell has been going over the last week? I'm not fixing it, but at least let this thing look a little better. That's what I think. I could be wrong. It certainly gives up blood. And again, it's easier to go into, yeah, I can go into me. more detail about I think.
Starting point is 00:55:24 But that's that's the half-air thing. But no, man. Like, just disappointing, man. Disappointing. We will hear. We will hear. We'll hear. We'll hear how the new ownership going and everything is fixable, you know?
Starting point is 00:55:45 Everything is fixable. So everything is fixable. But I don't want, as I say, I don't want explain certain things and go into certain details, which I know I've done on here for free before. And I know for our fact that that has benefited
Starting point is 00:56:00 people listening but also people listening, right? And some of the people listening paid. And I'm not paid for this. I don't know if you guys are paid for it, but I'm not paid for it. So I don't want to about dumb. I am disappointed, boy.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Is there no hope? Damn. And there's still more purchasing happening, no? Yeah, today. 40-8 million shit move. yeah there's still 40 odd mill
Starting point is 00:56:41 40 odd mill today like half of 80 something half of 80 something right which was the last ah boy yeah yeah
Starting point is 00:57:12 yeah a single trade of 988 shares at 1251 PM at 170 which is probably just a a splitting of the of the earlier um 83 state from a couple of days ago oh god man it's like it's like there's there's so much of value in the market and and this to me indicates that the people involved in this don't actually realize all the value that's in there they
Starting point is 00:57:51 even realize most of the value that's in there it just realize maybe just one or two of the in the market. That's just like all they might see the opportunity for profit and I don't even if them see that and if them know what that is. Look at it.
Starting point is 00:58:08 Yeah, they don't look at it. They look at things in our real limited. Yeah, man. This is the kind of thing that if I say an APO notice in the next few months, I bet, oh, there is no surprise there.
Starting point is 00:58:23 These are the kind of people do on APO. This is the kind of action that would, that would, go walk into an APU. Yes. And I said that as an elite shareholder. Wickedness.
Starting point is 00:58:43 Disappointed, man. And they still have stuff like that that 2 million, not 2 million, there are 2 million valley, 1 million order in the, in the Selkew, it's an iceberg, so I don't know how much deeper it goes. But yeah,
Starting point is 00:59:07 they saw that one million at two big iceberg orange has been there for a little while now so i guess when i'm ready they'll do the they'll do the buyout offer maybe at two maybe two 10 maybe 220 who knows but this is wild to me that this is wild disappointing oh any positivity on your side for the market this week well this week yeah SVL price or move up boy SVL's price is moving
Starting point is 00:59:50 it's been a long time I haven't seen a $20 SVR that's good to see Yeah it's true I think years really yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:00:06 I'm sure they have sure they'll have that that ecosystem has investor briefings coming up soon nice to see what Q3 reports are looking like some of it we can anticipate
Starting point is 01:00:26 clearly MJE has had a good quarter oh well thanks largely to SWAL I actually think tanks I mean it's always larger everything is always larger to SVL but I think they've actually quite a few or other
Starting point is 01:00:48 yeah man they pulled their weight the others pulled their weight this quarter including the famed Jamaica Brauilers yeah
Starting point is 01:01:10 Jamaica Brawlers would have moved quarter to quarter end to quarter end and so would Dollar Dollar of course
Starting point is 01:01:22 NCB, Dada the new new kid on the black NCB and GK and GMMB JMB JMB
Starting point is 01:01:34 Yeah JMB That should cover them top five Well week turn Weektime, week turn kind of steady And then ready for weektime Then we're ready for weektime
Starting point is 01:01:50 Anyway I Yeah I mean I think The SPL move is Good to see Yeah
Starting point is 01:02:11 Well you think It's driving It's It feels like So To me There's been Accumulation
Starting point is 01:02:21 of shares in the teens for over a year now. Like massive, insatiable. And it is nice to watch. I wish I could have
Starting point is 01:02:40 taken part to a great extent. But because it's a kind of thing where, okay, you are the driver of the vehicle. and you know what you are a part of planning going forward and you have an opportunity to spend billions of dollars really knowing that one you're you're accumulating the you're
Starting point is 01:03:14 soaking up the the float available all of this is coming under your control and you could spend an amount of money x to accumulate you to accumulate your at this level and then one one hundredth of that when you're ready to drive it up it's like it's
Starting point is 01:03:43 like a dream maybe not one one hundred maybe 50th maybe well the way compared to it will be whatever you know their exit price or what their goal level is
Starting point is 01:03:59 that they have in mind I think Yeah I think I think I think so if you go even a little deeper
Starting point is 01:04:08 because you know they have mapped like the you know my assumption I don't have known about the heavy shareholdings that would have
Starting point is 01:04:16 become available that wouldn't have been available a couple of years ago right so those millions are even saying come from nowhere like they're buying it from other entities
Starting point is 01:04:25 to so like they've built up their stake and yeah I mean they're playing a I would say a different game for it helping a bigger game than us right because they like we have the blessing of being able to
Starting point is 01:04:36 concentrate much much more on the just the share price while they have to they have to balance a whole of the board they have to balance a whole of the the the company and the share price you know um and yeah you don't make sense you don't make sense you know you know makes sense you know you're other companies exactly yeah like all of those factors for them to be for them to um for them to consider them and and you know it's not a it's not a simple ship to to to to be at the helm of um managing so it's one of the blessings that yeah we can just we we can we can we can't we can a lot more on the share price and then the question is can you hold out that's all it becomes can you buy enough in the time and hold out long enough until what you want or what you expect that man
Starting point is 01:05:35 yeah because this is definitely yeah so that's up and the downside of of of being in in place with active investors the market is not going to move until they're already yeah that's what one of the upsides of other things is that you know people see things and be excited and then you get some
Starting point is 01:06:06 shorter movement around that and then you know maybe it's settled down a bit and then maybe it's a little more shorter movement and then when the time come the time come at the big move but when you in there with people who actually actually invest actually also pay attention to the market you know shorter move now send it to another
Starting point is 01:06:25 level at that they know any increase in demand will be filled until until we are ready yes it's true and nine that nine curse yeah yeah but i look forward to the separate e jm as well it's been a long time we have another split is it on the market and this is like almost like a palace uh yeah i think so palace was 100 to 1 or something like that wrong time yeah anything splits in palace you tell us before that no i think so yeah they tell us around their APO yeah yeah Yeah, yeah, so. P.B. Scott, corporate action is never a dull moment. Yeah, never, ever a dull moment.
Starting point is 01:07:47 And the corporate action itself is, the corporate action itself is, well, it splits itself. I mean, that, you know, talk about the other end of the scale, really. Or the other end of the, the other spectrum, really. Exactly. yeah handling the thing so so well so clearly that yeah man well laid out well well well handled um yeah i kind of looking forward to it too especially because my expectations around it and you know the annunspents to come i also want to see that bit from what we said two three years ago around around separate and and the I don't call it a buyout yeah the right partnership yeah I'm
Starting point is 01:08:51 really looking for you have that right yeah right partnership you're looking to see if if if if the the the projection there is right is correct and and I guess it you know maybe a simple way for people so people not lost Although this isn't encompassing at all, but I'd say that I don't, I don't have, like, the separate and the APO, I would be very surprised if Sepraud actually is doing an APO in the typical sense. Like, how I put it was, how I put in the group was, I would be surprised if they were truly sending millions of years. units out to the actual open public yeah correct yeah might be extremely surprised which which would which is the which is the basis of the apis the optimistic is bad
Starting point is 01:10:01 yeah who that no no no no no i agree agree i agree i don't know if he's not a hope from me but yeah yeah it might be copium it might be copium i don't think so if that would be that would be completely out of cracker for them and also just just from the projection of what what is so funny no again i'm not trying to have everybody i guys you want to know the details you on here let's talk with without me being careful in my language come join grow join you the grow group or or the grow the girl subscribers group are come to grow but yeah it's not I would be very surprised. Like, they have laid out a shape in their announcements.
Starting point is 01:10:55 That's what I'll say. Those people who are to see, can see. But, yo, maybe Dana is right. That might, that would be another damn disappointment for me. That would be truly disappointing for me, though. Same, same, same, same. That got to the heart. I really don't think, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:18 I mean, I've seen it over the years. there will be much more than a key steed yeah about x yeah well i see we have the man from japan here himself what's up what's up sir pigles yeah man i don't give me before you move on that actually the last tax split was sOS s was in july of twenty twenty three um palace was February
Starting point is 01:11:53 Where? Palace. Why I feel like the palace wasn't after that? I remember one person that said, yes, Maritch again, jumping up and then SOS did happen after that. And I said, I know, one there's the next palace this and then this really did that. Oh, zine, zine, zee. That's so in the family now. yeah you know the funny is that I don't know if it's if it's just my mind but um I feel like there's been a gap in the generations of investors our own splits
Starting point is 01:12:40 yep so that the current proper retail investors don't really have any knowledge of split or their impact the majority of retail investment no don't have any knowledge. Yeah. So their understanding of splits. Exactly. Something they hear about and they don't know what to do. And they come up in a different market. You know, if you're in the market.
Starting point is 01:13:07 20 years ago. Splits is. Yeah, exactly. Money. Money. Money. Money. You know.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Yeah. They're not, they're not understanding of, of, you know. of a split and everything around it and even how they view those things. It's just what do you set the words mean? Is that a share price jump? Right. And so like I think I think about how the usual thing that is always said, oh, you know, split doesn't change the nominal value.
Starting point is 01:13:42 It doesn't change the overall value of a company. Just changes the amount of shares, yada, yada, yada. That talk 10 years ago. Like everybody knew that. Everybody understood that. you can go on say what you're saying it don't mean but no that top might have a whole lot more legs
Starting point is 01:13:57 mm-hmm yeah yeah so the the missed point the missed point of of that can be missed even more I truly don't know how
Starting point is 01:14:12 like I'd love a couple of other splits I'd love a clean split to be done meaning I split with yeah with um with no APO yeah like pulse was a nice one I remember the pulse one
Starting point is 01:14:26 back in the day Uncle Pulse man Yeah but you got Yeah You right Channel The late The late Kings of Cooper
Starting point is 01:14:42 I mean look at Pulse now Yeah man Yeah man Yeah man I I mean I ran this spit at in our field that was my split too that was the first time of serial money
Starting point is 01:15:00 we said, oh no, it wasn't our first spit I mean, mine, mind, that was my cherry papa I know,
Starting point is 01:15:07 I remember when we were late to the game you know, you understand, so the other show me age, please, thanks. Well, you're not late to the game
Starting point is 01:15:15 because you talk to any retail investor no one yeah, they're not see the same, eh, to them you're all now. Well, in every sphere and they have a whole, so please. Yeah, that's
Starting point is 01:15:31 that's true. That's true, grandpa. That's true. Yeah. You're not serious. I don't even, even the investment talking when the students that would teach.
Starting point is 01:15:41 I said, you're what? You're what? Four zero? What does that mean? How does it feel up there? I'm like, go, stop, please. And they say it in Japanese because he's more insulted. So you know it go, you know, son.
Starting point is 01:15:54 Tell the boy. What's him calling Japanese? What's onk in Japanese? Onk, they was like, Oji san. Oji san, grandpa. Grandpa, channel. Jano. Or if you want me like, like,
Starting point is 01:16:13 Gigi, you know, Gigi, the short thing. Gigi, Genki, you're like, you're good. You're good. Well, relax, relax. Let's not do this. You're not speaking in any language. In any country, they are picnic, is it mean? So, yeah, man.
Starting point is 01:16:28 You can imagine. Routal truth. I was the general one Vix and Kiar Vicks. Yeah, Vick, yeah. Vig. And I remember back to our days, you know what I said back in old days? Yeah. I was like, you know what you're old.
Starting point is 01:16:49 You start, get up a bit nice. Stone the fix. When they start a get up a beer, the only fix are come from you now. No one understand what my grandmother used to do. Yeah. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, sir.
Starting point is 01:17:03 Amen. Survive another get up. It's rough. Trust me. So, Uncle Piggles, what's exciting to you? What's next way you on the market?
Starting point is 01:17:25 You know, I'm still looking at dollar. I'm trying to do the mathematics of, you know, the exact math you guys were talking about in, you know, not off the air, not enough here, but like around where the way we put the Scotia money. I mean, everybody has an idea and everybody talking all the nice things. But as you say, me try to find, like, they do the exact thing, because, you know, profits are the exact science. And sometimes the accidental profit on a catch one.
Starting point is 01:17:55 time is that the interesting. So may I try to make sure me, but tune you know because there's money to be made, lots of money to be made and in knowing where to go. So may I try.
Starting point is 01:18:09 So I've brought some ideas in a certain sphere and get and fine-tune things so we can capitalize on this. You can throw a plash. It's about to flood this place
Starting point is 01:18:23 and needs a home. Hopefully I can be the home before. Oh, the Scotia, the Scotia money you're talking, the Scotia money. Yeah. So, me I say, what do you think is going to? What? At this point, at this point at this point, at this point, at your level of view, I know you don't know, but what you think, like, where you feel it going to go.
Starting point is 01:18:50 Because I know you don't have any great, deep knowledge of, of, like, what, what, what, what, what, you feel it going to go. like what the outflow is going to be, meaning where exactly, none of us do, right? Unless you work there. Honestly, it works certain pieces, I should say. But at this point, where are you thinking?
Starting point is 01:19:09 Um, I know a lot of big funds, a lot of big, the pensioners and, you know, big, big, big, big people. Um, one, always wants something safe that is, that gives them something steady,
Starting point is 01:19:24 you know, like a basically income protector. You know, if you feel safe talk to in an end of the big public space, you know. All right. Cabo I hear about Gov said one, one voice says something, you know.
Starting point is 01:19:51 Don't worry about it, but we replay him, everyone says, it's recorded, you know. I mean, obviously, most of the people have said things already. PGH. Mm-hmm. People say, um,
Starting point is 01:20:03 Transjamaica I'm trying to find that sneaky stuff like that that little sleeper people not look one but have potential I like I like I like
Starting point is 01:20:17 hear me out oh probably don't they're not of value in not necessarily doing that sometimes the obvious thing is obvious for a reason
Starting point is 01:20:32 it's obvious thing no that's yes yes my question was I don't want to hear the sneaky one them though I want to hear the obvious My full My full sneaky and not so sneaky list
Starting point is 01:20:48 And reasons and everything at the Advanced Goer this month But I don't mind speaking here Public Ed was what the none Obvious what the obvious ones are NCB What you think? You mentioned one already TJC, got another one, the NCB.
Starting point is 01:21:07 N-CB, name, you know, the goodwill around it. Maybe careers for dividends. My hope, I'm hoping dollar. Yeah, me, come up screen of the game there. So, dollar would be a nice to go play. Yes, me. No, we're going to the hope.
Starting point is 01:21:32 We're going to the hope players, no. Hope, yes, sorry, sorry, sorry. said. What else today? No, if you have your hopes, you have your hopes, and it's just...
Starting point is 01:21:42 No, I know, I've seen on this. I said, I hope. I did make sure a preface it. Um. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:21:50 not wrong with that. It's just... I think SVL on the value still. SVL. Elit. I mean, yeah, I could, I commit the case for SVL, but yeah, okay. I can see that. I can see that.
Starting point is 01:22:19 I'll say that. It's not typically spoken of in that kind of way, right? Yeah, you know, I'm very stuck. So. SP is more, yeah, it's more, is more. you know what industry stay when it comes to that yeah
Starting point is 01:22:43 you know what industry stay when it comes to that so a very stock is exactly yeah yeah yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:22:54 yeah you know they tend not to think around like you hear listen classic no go through go through that I
Starting point is 01:23:07 no and then and then no matter what they tell you guys guys size markers to these people it's true and how much of well don't know I'm gonna
Starting point is 01:23:28 don't make them trick you how much how much of SVL can they get don't make them trick yours but think about that to feel like it's a good question how much they are they are they and they and they and think of how they hold
Starting point is 01:23:49 things. They are very, very, very thing there. They're very much more okay being in the thing there, in the minus seat and the controlling seat. I guess nobody knows or send an email. Well, at least we know to their credit it would be done better. So sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:25 See, I know. They're accredited with at least be done better. Yeah, I can definitely have some argument for ESVL getting about money bean. I was looking at some of the petrol stocks,
Starting point is 01:24:51 RPL, WIPL and my Boston, PESCO. I was looking at what we'll take even us even a quick halter and not a lot of them still to halt it no big, no, but I'm really cute them look very
Starting point is 01:25:04 haltable in a quick time. Well, I'm hearted then, no. No, no, no. I'm not, come up to these, the top ten, not me. You know, I have to feel tertiary and my heart after second of my life. What I'm going to say this.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Let's see. But, um. You not live a life then, bro. me not I live life, I'm telling you I'm not living a life bro They're heavy movers
Starting point is 01:25:35 and shake us Oh boy All right I see DeAndre join us I don't know if it's the same topic I have in mind Or if you're more to talk about
Starting point is 01:25:52 A different Stack or company Or anything like that DeAndra, what's up? What wrong, huh? Greetings, everyone. Not much. Good morning, morning, morning,
Starting point is 01:26:02 Greetings, greetings. See you that. money man you know what you know what I thought what is something yes I resonate with me about this generation of investors they probably may not be speaking to me particularly well particularly but as this is this is the first split mega realis since middle grow up so it's like Yeah, man. Yeah, well, I mean, the generation talk is just a matter of when you started.
Starting point is 01:26:41 So definitely, you have to do something to start. But I started before. Well, I start before, but when I really call that, you know, like, because at that time, whenever I really have, you know, a practical understanding of the market. So when? It's alive. I know.
Starting point is 01:27:05 See again? Your turn I know about Ole Miss. So, so Palace, I would have come see, Palace and and,
Starting point is 01:27:15 you say, SOS, and I not even know that SOS had a stuck with until when the separate thing
Starting point is 01:27:22 came out and I started to say, well, I mean, if you kind of understand what the process
Starting point is 01:27:28 looks, look like. I think from meeting disclosure as they expect and all these little things as some as someone else if um estuils had a back speed nice man yeah so this would be your first real one which uh this would what if i could pick one for you wouldn't be one like this you know it would be uh but it is what it is
Starting point is 01:27:58 but yeah you say you say you saw that and it made it made it think what what are you thinking from it it may understand to think well where the profit points um from this what does a stock split process look like and i haven't um finished the research you know they were more to do it as it but he had me thinking just looking at it from a high level uh right now and i and then to um just ask chat well far to put together Palace and and SOS
Starting point is 01:28:41 process the dates around it the disclosure around it and then just give me the rules surrounding that. So something I hope to dive in over the weekend once again if I get the time. But
Starting point is 01:28:58 just my whole that's what looking for. Yeah. Looking forward to that. you can ask MJ AI it's have that lock stock
Starting point is 01:29:11 and two smoking bars it have that down um yeah I just wish I'm for that you don't
Starting point is 01:29:16 say the profit points but I honestly I sorry go ahead go ahead you wish you could use what
Starting point is 01:29:23 I didn't say that I don't I can't say that it can't pay the profit points because I don't know sometimes it surprises me
Starting point is 01:29:31 um if you're doing research you did ask it you might be surprised I don't know if I would agree with profit points
Starting point is 01:29:37 I don't know. I don't think I generally agree with the profit points. Like when AI tells me, like, I mostly use it to, like, extra information quickly and then to point me to where the primary source is. So me can, because I rather to go back to go to the primary source. So I use it to just tell me exactly where to find this quickly. Yeah, man, that is the way. That is the best way, I think.
Starting point is 01:30:06 No, granted, like, you have access to. the you have access to like the model that I use the model that I use in the grow group too and that's that there's not quite like that anywhere else so that one is even better than the one that's on site but you should you can try the one on side but you're saying that you wish you could do something else oh oh yeah yeah I was saying I like to voice prompts so sometime I wish I could voice from the one in the in the in the group but yeah for just You can voice prompt the one in the group actually. You can, you should try it.
Starting point is 01:30:46 You can DM it, you can say it to voice prompt. You can just, yeah, you can send it a voice note. You can't let them behind time. Yeah, you know that guy, Tom, every day, there's more and more and more and more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I believe you can't, I'm almost 100% certain that you can want.
Starting point is 01:31:10 not the one on my money on this on this on my MMG although that I'll add a capability soon too but but certainly the one that you have access to in the group one of the girl guards have access to and that's the most powerful one that that is um that one you can you can voice prompted and you can also get a good like the way you've approached it is a great way to approach it especially with that model especially what what I have there because it has it will help you greatly with that better research is that new way you're doing it the right way you're not just
Starting point is 01:31:43 trusting everything you tell your cause it's still AI right it can't still get things wrong and it doesn't understand our market so anybody who ever chose something and chat oh because I ask chat GPT go ahead and see what happened but in the week then I had a session
Starting point is 01:32:03 and we don't get into too much detail, but there was a particular stock we're looking at then I, and we're like, you're if I'm supposed to buy this right now, you know? I got to buy it up to about $2 to get what I want, right? Remember? And I'll speak to the value of the advance grow. We had, what was it last week or two weeks ago? about the pre-year-man's one yeah man and the next one i get up one and without the
Starting point is 01:32:41 without that knowledge i not saying i don't i don't perfect the knowledge you know but i was able to get it at today get enough at the lowest price possible you think what i'm saying yeah man instead of buying it up right instead of not saying that i got at the lowest price you know but enough at the lowest price possible yeah yeah right yeah yeah yeah instead of buying it up to two dollars the two dollars the days before and and and and and that was that was a nice a small win you know small yeah and then also don't forget that sometimes you have to be okay buying it uh by the time so sometimes yeah i mean as long as High is always ready to.
Starting point is 01:33:34 High is good for where it's, high is from where it's coming from. You think you're looking at it where it's going? I think, I think, I was saying to one time this week. I was saying to a client specific, I think, I think you all these conversation, but I'm sure I said it more than one time with this month.
Starting point is 01:33:55 So I think that, but the idea is, you know, why you go in and, oh, the point you're buying it. sometimes is thing there, it's too early. Right. I was saying that to you, right? Yes, yeah, man. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:10 Very often when you're buying it too early, that point is when everybody, is where, it's when after moves up, everybody, oh, I mean, they wish me, they buy that too, that, you know? Mm-hmm. So, we can't get known for that. So, yeah, that, that's a very different perspective.
Starting point is 01:34:31 And when you're buying that two, we have buy it up to two that boy you did we should get that one and you know really move yet so it's very it gets very hard to not look at the market for where it is right now and then look you know boy it's high or low he's where it is up there very often yeah that's what i had to tell myself come i feel like after them if him get after them get those if we're thinking at the same company i think we are i was one who had to go on and buy it up to two after that and then I have to tell myself we hear than I say oh well you know it's okay okay but I also bought some below also and yeah the pre-open the
Starting point is 01:35:15 pre-open advance girl it was useful because even I have been using it and I use it again other day I also used up to today yeah down from some of that two dollar oh nice nice so I like me think we go and kick some practice I think we go and kick some practice I think we on the stocks that are not you know having that crazy amount of trades right now like another Tj the volatility right and go and catch some practice along those stocks before me start thinking of doing it in the in the higher value volatile stuff yeah well that's that's one of the points too from that advanced grow where well yeah let me not let me not let me not let me not let me not
Starting point is 01:36:06 me not give her the gyms for free. You know that I've been in the club, I don't mind. Yeah, exactly. You understand now why, you know, how I get paid for something on them as I gave everybody to say free one of Friday night, right? Yeah, and as you said, the level of detail in the group is unlike anything anywhere else
Starting point is 01:36:40 one of the good tools that helps with MMJ helps with that especially with the pre-open it simplifies it a whole lot I don't think I heard there was one of the one of the what one of the things with MMJ is how it simplifies the pre-open
Starting point is 01:37:03 for you if you remember like that I mean there's a specific point it's actually the point that then I did ask about that advanced growth like what happens in the pre-open and yeah I mean that's how we can talk boating group but yeah i'm glad to hear that you're in top i'm glad to hear that it's helping you with profit and
Starting point is 01:37:19 assuming that we're in the same thing I hope it work out for the 12th I hope so too I hope so too and if it doesn't work out in the immediate future there I I will be I may
Starting point is 01:37:35 may still come back or may add to it but I just stay adaptable to how you for it to how things play your things play. Let's talk that here, man. Strike a talk.
Starting point is 01:37:54 No, I'm just saying we're ready. Yeah, boy, no, eh, eh. Yeah. You make some good moves since you're talked, so you can't do that. So I know your time, though, you know? You're a strike, my boss. You are strike.
Starting point is 01:38:16 But yeah, I mean, listen, it is always trying to improve because after a while, let me tell you, after a while, once I'll prove to myself that, listen, I can actually lock in and make the time, no matter how busy, I want still try to make the sacrifice to do the research, put the things them together. And then, of course, naturally with the app and MMJ, it definitely helps with alert and notifications for you to remember what to do. But then you get to a point now where you kind of exhaust what you know on your own. And if you're like me and curious, you start to research. Yeah, man, I need for know, I need deep knowledge now because what I know now can't suffice. Very often knowing more shows you how much you don't know. Yeah, you start to say, bro. That's a fact.
Starting point is 01:39:14 that's a fuck not stock on same john sorry what's that thing called again I don't know Donning Kruger respect that's what it yeah and you better mine off but yeah
Starting point is 01:39:31 it might be Donning Kruger yeah the more you know the more you realize how much you don't know your view jet is that you learn as you applying these things is all I mean it's all profitable you also see that's still the amazing thing how profitable market still is yeah and I mean I feel like when you know
Starting point is 01:39:51 when I get to interact with a lot more persons that are actually doing the thing on the market you realize that well there's a lot of stuff on the market to actually be entertained and to be interested in and you'll be like there's nothing on the market to talk about but it was something you just never know so that's one of my favorite things yeah it's not so you hear that bit of conversation
Starting point is 01:40:16 very often you hear it not going up on the market. And the realization I've come to is, if you feel that way, is that something happening on the market? You just don't know about. You'll be very quickly shown. That is the case. They're going to say, oh, wait, did this have moved?
Starting point is 01:40:35 What I'm putting there? My thing are happening. And there, you just don't know about it. That's what happening. Yes, sir. Right now, I'm here. I have to even. I think my connection is dealing.
Starting point is 01:40:56 I think he's a copy connection overall, but we're hearing you. Yeah, I'm saying right now. I'm even a little bit overwhelmed with how the next three months is going to go and just looking at the, it's like the, what you call it, decision paralysis, looking at how to, do the next three months and I mean that's why that session with Danai was
Starting point is 01:41:26 so helpful as well because just to help structure some plays and that class I had in mind and then sticking back to the goal because as I say in the way you know we love to put the the car before the horse or so that
Starting point is 01:41:42 and I have to say well I thought I had learned the less enough goal clearly I didn't lessons. I never end in a lesson, my brother. The more you learn is the more that you find that you have to. The more, yeah, like I said, the more you learn is the more you find out how much you don't know.
Starting point is 01:42:12 So, I mean, one of the things that you said is really true. The idea of how much more you see once you start understanding it. You start understanding why like, yo, we just never take it. serious if somebody I say, oh, all you're watching is whatever the hot stock is right now. What's happening with Transamerica? You think that the market mash up because Transamerica is at $9 and whatever. You don't know, you, because you really don't have no idea what going on. They have no idea what's going on.
Starting point is 01:42:46 And you find yourself, you find yourself also. I mean, on your side and on anybody who's starting to learn more about it. you find yourself realizing how much profit there is constantly being made on the market. And the overall market stops being like a, it's not pick three or lucky five, you know. It's not a guessing game. Things start being very clear, very deliberate, very obvious, very predictable. Right, but that Jeremy is the way. how predictability is?
Starting point is 01:43:30 No, not, no, I don't reach them to say, oh, no, gosh. But, but seeing. You know, the funny thing is, you reach those levels, you just don't know. Nah. You're reached those to know, you just don't know. I can't even show you right now. You just said, like, you know, like you're thinking heavily about how the next, so you said the next three months?
Starting point is 01:43:52 Yeah, yeah. Yep, yep. November, January, right? What kind of percentage you're looking? looking in that time? By February, I'm looking 30%. You're giving a ballpark idea. 30%.
Starting point is 01:44:08 All right. 30% by February. And why you're stressed no over that? Because, sorry, not 30%. My, my apologies, 45%. That was an honest mistake. 45%. And why? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:27 Most people wouldn't do that. Most people that say 30 to 50%, you already. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, but why I stress is that I'm already in some place and I'm thinking about what do I go into when this finish and how and if this is based on how I'm going to, based on what I expect to happen and how I'm timing this to happen. Will it happen within this because a tight window and so will it happen within this time frame and then when the next next. thing going to start so I can get to go in there and it's stressing one you realize what kind of stress you have experts you have in my brother no no no no no you don't
Starting point is 01:45:21 don't have them stress they I'm feeling no no no no no if I think that one they're interested all the time that's where we live my brother you notice I don't I don't if you realize that it's not that you're And yeah, it is not that we, um, by this time. Exactly. Matter of fact, is not that you're saying that you can't find 30 or 45%. You gave yourself that goal of 45% by February. Because think about it. Of the things that you're thinking about when it's happening this time in this way.
Starting point is 01:46:09 If you remove that, if you remove that February, timeline that you're giving yourself, how confident are you that maybe three of the things that you have in mind are going to hit 45%? Not by February, but let's say by, let's say by the next 12 months. Yes, it will, it will exceed 45% if I use next 12 months. You see that? Yep. You're an expert, my brother. You gave yourself a constraint and you're stressing about it. How many people, no knock to anybody, but how many people professionally in the space you think can call 45% deliberately in a year? Don't answer that. But just consider the fact that you are not worried, like if we push the timeline out to one year, you have no issue in finding it.
Starting point is 01:47:10 Your stress is from, am I going to be able to knock it off by February? that's a different thing as I say there are people who do their entire careers and have never made 50% in a year entire careers not not entire years careers and no knock to those people there are people who have had successful careers it depends on which market successful careers and have never had a 30% year and you are calm about oh yeah if i move it out to one year yeah 45% is that it will that's what you say it will and i don't doubt you but it's because you give yourself the constraint it's the same thing you'll stop all the time the market is easy the market is predictable is that we have constraints
Starting point is 01:48:07 on ourselves and our and our approach yeah i say it all the time that yo i can pick something that will give me 200% in the next five years that's easy But I'm not looking for 200% in the next five years. My look for 40% by July. Or may I look for 30% by December. Right? Or may look for 20% by Monten, right? That constraint I've given myself.
Starting point is 01:48:38 If I just want the 20%, that not take nothing? Yeah, no, right. That's why the time thing matters so much. I hear people speak in a way where the time becomes loose or speak about time at all. And then you realize, but you doing what you're doing? Yeah. You realize how doing that actually gets in nowhere.
Starting point is 01:49:00 Because you realize, oh, this money to do, this morning actually to do certain things. And, you know, investing as a hobby. You know, you're not doing this. To say, I do it. You're doing this. It's fun, man, man. Yeah, it's fun. I mean, yeah, it is fun.
Starting point is 01:49:17 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're doing it beyond the fun. I know it. You know why you're doing it. So you know that, yeah, marriage. returns have to do for me to for me to get to where I want to get to have actually structured it out that my returns happen within the time I need them to happen and that's the way it becomes hard if it was really just oh I need to buy
Starting point is 01:49:40 this I need I need to if it's just I need to invest and say I invest successfully or I invested and made a profit oh yeah I can buy a time to make like everybody else and forget it and then one day it will do something I can say I have that money doing something versus there's a purchase I need in at some point in the future in five years time we and wife have a provide house so we're investing towards it and this is how much money we'll put in and this is the amount it needs to be because that loan payment has to happen in that time then you have to invest accordingly then you have a structure in okay this thing actually has to return this amount in this time for that goal to be met I like this company and then
Starting point is 01:50:30 I like this company Yeah Yeah man And then you start seeing why like You see why I put so much work into keeping the standard A conversation at a certain level So like hey
Starting point is 01:50:42 Are you investing in stocks You know you win some you lose some Uh eh Over the so with that Not here You know Some win some lose some But I tell why I say
Starting point is 01:50:53 Hey listen But win some you lose some You know It never work out we're actually investing in a real way and again there's nothing wrong with that but it's just not the type of investing that i i get into or i encourage you to get into i i invest for the people who see you more than money it's not to say you don't lose some i hate you know i have a not about here because i know how people hear that it's not to say you don't lose some it's a good point so it's also something to be factored in all right cool
Starting point is 01:51:23 If this, if I lose here, I mean, if I lose here, then what are we doing? This is how setback I am from the goal. Then what do we have to do to get towards a goal with that in mind? I'm saying to you this week, a good thing that play, recovery play. Remember that? Yeah, man, yeah, man. Yeah, man. So, all right.
Starting point is 01:51:42 So, and think of how we factor that in with other investments. All right, if this, this return or this, but at the back of it, this has that, if this don't happen, then we have this to fall back on so we know how much we can lose here before we'll do something else. Or if we lose here, then at least this thing is in mind and it has a stronger guarantee so we can work with that, that kind of thing. Exactly. You know what you said that's even so important with the other point, Randy McKin, the group of measure. And it's when it's a major, it just key point on my brain until it can come here and say, back to what Danai said about the recovery player.
Starting point is 01:52:24 You know, so what I need to do now is me need to sit down and calculate out how much percentage I can afford to lose if I lose. Because when they're in stocking on, things are good or things that go bad, your emotions kick in and you forget the logic and all they look or something. What I need to do the calculation so we can see and I know say, once me see, one, 100 and 1,000, 1,000,
Starting point is 01:52:50 for example it's time to go or something you know because that's as far as you can afford to yeah yeah but if i if i don't this calculation my god say sure you know you know what what i feel like yeah man that that's the point where hope and cope about much load of voice in your head in your head when you don't re-s at that thing that when you don't re have them all right cool if this is going to if i see this looking a certain way return wise or i look at the queue and the cue does not in my favor anymore or you know or you the news that you're looking for don't come by the right time or whatever if you do have those things in mind then you start saying all right yeah man you wait somewhere because my hopes they'll do this by whatever time everything else
Starting point is 01:53:32 and that's that's the emotions the way you feel about the return you see on the screen right now starts influencing every decision you make and as good or bad meaning you can you can see the return being great and it might I prompt you to not leave. Enough people hit them goal. I can tell how much times I have a client. Oh, you know, got everything never sell because
Starting point is 01:53:56 because if they want to look more and it's not bad to want more. If you're going to buy the, if you're supposed to pull out the money and buy the, and you know, call the bank and get the whole deposit going by X, Y, time.
Starting point is 01:54:11 But you're not going to do it because if they want a transfer it, go up a little bit more. Hey, well, that's the house of my risk, right? You can go out more, man. Man, we're not, I think about some of the conversations. Think of some of the conversations that are cutting you down here, but I just bring, like, on here, like you don't forget. You can go back at least the previous episodes.
Starting point is 01:54:32 When Transamerica was at 12, we had three conversations on here with people and I asked in the same question. I tested them. I said, why not sell now? Boy, one brother said, yo, me can't do it. I just love Transamerica. The highway? You love the road? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:48 Yeah. Yeah. You love the corporation? I don't know. Listen, I'm going to the Trans-Jamaica two time in July and August, you know. All right, but here's the thing
Starting point is 01:55:00 that I was trying to get across it. And I said it then, but it has maybe a real, it may be real to people when you start talking about it, no, when you're looking at Trans-Jamaica at nine. Yeah, at nine, it's a completely, but if you go back to the conversation then, I remember what I was saying to them
Starting point is 01:55:25 But I said, boy, no, I can't say I'll come and love it I'm like, yo, how love dropping? I'm not telling you to not love investment. I'm not telling you to not feel good about it. I'm not even to not be, to not have it as your pension or your long-term investment. I'm saying if it truly is your long-term investment, it's at 12 odd no.
Starting point is 01:55:46 Do you really think it's going to stay here? Boy, no, me can't do it. No, I want you think about it. When we were having that conversation, and trans-Sameca was at 12, 12 and, um, 12 on higher. Did he go, it passed, it went past 12. I think that, yeah, the all-time high is 1293. Let's say you sold, you or anybody, let's say you sold at 1250.
Starting point is 01:56:11 You would right now be able at 973 to buy, that's like what, there's a 28% difference between 973 and 1250. right that's at 23% difference between between that between those two those two prices if you really love trans jamaica not saying that you shouldn't love it but if you love it selling then is an opportunity no to buy 22% more for every for every for every five trans jamaica shares you had then you would now have more, you'd have six more. You'd have six now. You get one extra for everyone roughly.
Starting point is 01:57:01 I'm ballpacking it here, but yeah. 20% if you really love it. That's what would be dealing with. It's not who can love Trans-Gamaca more. Trust me, the corporation does not love you. It does not know you exist. The shares don't know that you own them. Your money is what's important.
Starting point is 01:57:20 That's why the site name, My Money, JA, because you care about my everybody have cared about my money no corporation is going to care about your money and the more them claim is the more you can be sure that they don't Scotia love you today
Starting point is 01:57:37 you think you think if them couldn't get it past at 6,150 them wouldn't do it they try to and some heavy money people talk to them one away and it had to go up to 75 and if it them to get the no at 75 best believe it would have gone up
Starting point is 01:57:55 higher. But when they work it back, who was it that said? Shout out French. French is one who tweeted it. That, um, like if you just reverse the PE, if you put the PE to 20, that's a buyout of close to 150, I believe. And that's a PE of 20. And it's not unusual for like a gem of a bank to be sold at a PE to be bought out at a PE much higher than 20. So I say all that I say that the corporation doesn't love you. The corporation doesn't even know that you own the shares. The shares don't know you own the shares. Your money is what's important.
Starting point is 01:58:38 And it is a shift. They'll remove them to review them top 10. Exactly. It is a shift in how you have to view your investing. It is not a joke thing. It's not a wind argument. When you start, and what's happening to you know is that you're going through it. So yeah, you feel like, no, I'm not an expert.
Starting point is 01:59:00 Those are you an expert. You want you a secret? I don't feel like an expert either. And those decisions, the stress that you have, the more I'm going to know, it is there every single day, same way. It only only have 10 grand. It doesn't go away. As long as it matters, the year actually doing it properly.
Starting point is 01:59:21 It'll be stressful every time. Oh, it's going to be stressful to you. There's no easy decision. I can tell you that's something I've learned along the way. There's no easy. If you care about it, there's no easy decision. So you can come on and then suddenly, because remember this, you know,
Starting point is 01:59:36 we're still talking about the same market that everybody is talking about, you know? But suddenly, you and next person having the same conversation about the same stock. I'm using similar words where it means two different things. Like you hear us talking early about the disappointment with elite Almost every week
Starting point is 01:59:57 Every week I come on this and have the conversations And I know that the conversation Danai and I are having In front of everybody It's different from the conversation that people are hearing Dan I and I have it Like you hear us talk about the disappointment Like hearing incorrect A lot of going to say
Starting point is 02:00:18 It's not a win-lose game because you know you win some you lose some he knows what i mean but him all's happened him know all so you all say you're gonna misinterpret that is yeah to say you can't make classes like no losses are the thing like that's yeah losses are in it but in my game you don't come in and get i don't i don't go into it ready to lose any i don't go in looking to lose like that it's yeah you're not trying to lose here is the it the loss is truly a bad circumstance that you never I was like to self-up and the reality is back to the journey. Bro.
Starting point is 02:00:55 Yeah, bro. I lost, then. How much do you've heard? Exactly. You know, if you listen to the big talk over the years, here I'll talk about it, you know?
Starting point is 02:01:04 Emotionally, it has fixed us with some things too. You're talking about how nice it is to go back in a specific stock and make the profit. More, more I make back the profit in our signals. Yeah. I made back money. Every time I make out of Trans-Jamaica now,
Starting point is 02:01:19 I feel good because, I bought a Transjamaica very, very early. Right? And I saw a little bit of a loss. I mean, I've made so much profit out of Transamerica since that, you know, more than made up for the loss. But yeah, that make feel good. I remember the first time we get back to that point of profit with Signos.
Starting point is 02:01:42 It changed the game for you. Yeah, not nice. And that's an emotional point, by the way. That's an emotional thing. meaning if I think there's 10% here where I've lost money, 10% profit to be made, and there's maybe 10 or 12 or 15% profit to be made over there. So sometimes we go back at the 10,
Starting point is 02:02:01 sometimes just because you are forgiven about the money. That don't make sense. But it's feeling. But that's a better conversation than, but my love Fesco. Love Fet, love them do even know you exist. Is that? They're about give you a free guest.
Starting point is 02:02:18 Yeah, it's a complete different. So, you know, welcome to expertise, my brother. It sounds like you don't know what you're doing. But when you're not, I bet you to your friends, you are the stock. Of course. I bet you say to your friends, you are the stock person. You don't even know. You know, you know that's the same.
Starting point is 02:02:43 Yeah, exactly. Yeah, they're a star. It's like some questions just get hard. And they were like, no, me don't know. I say, yo, no, me don't know this thing like them and there, but you know it more than most people know it, my brother. So you're there, eh.
Starting point is 02:03:05 Don't feel bad. I don't want to cut you off, but I do have Andy B, I will say a couple weeks I want to hear from Andy B and I see David Mullins are also in the chat. I don't know if he's not implanted jumping. but we'd love to hear if you have anything to say. But in the interim, Andy B, did send a speaking request. So Andy B, what's up?
Starting point is 02:03:26 It's been a couple of weeks, if not longer. Yeah, it's been a hot minute, man. It's been quite a while. But, you know, life is happening or not is happening. But I've always been listening, particularly since last week with the post-future discussion and reflecting on even our... my first dialing with you guys back when was Qantas, you know, talking about dividend and income-oriented. And as you realized, and I did say that that is my realm, that is what I'm drawn to.
Starting point is 02:04:06 But I just kind of wanted to shout out a few things because, and I think one of the most important things, dialing into these chats every week is that, and it was said, don't feel. like you know everything, or when you know, when you think you know, question that, because values, your value system, when you go out and through different things, the emotions can blind you. And if it's one thing, it's hard to say when your money, when the screen's right. And yes, say, if I did know, it did feel like, you know, it just right at a point. but if I did know and
Starting point is 02:04:51 it's like the quantus money just reached you know it's like if I did know and with all of that and I think it's being honest with yourself having a hard conversation on yourself about when you enter this
Starting point is 02:05:11 what am I getting into you know and of coming up with a system around how, what am I trying to, what am I trying to achieve from this transaction? Am I trying to achieve a 10% return? Am I trying to get it so that I can get a dividends and then I sell it off in a few months? What am I doing? And all of that has been a general walk for me based on where I have been. And even though I have been trained in finance, it's like, it's one thing when you know something about.
Starting point is 02:05:48 the book is a different thing when you didn't in practice. And coming up with a system is key. And I just wanted to shout out to you guys that, you know, listening and dialing in has been an eye-opening journey to say, yeah, my like, you get my dividend. But then ran this a few weeks back, and I was doing research before, but you said, yeah, you want a dividend, but there are other ways to get income.
Starting point is 02:06:15 You can get preference shares. preference shares isn't as popular an item, but preference shares are there. For yield. For yield. And then the other thing. Better yield than every single stock on the market has a worse yield than almost every preference share. Every preference share in the market pays a better dividend than every stock on the market.
Starting point is 02:06:43 Yeah. Correct. Correct. And then to even expand that further, you can look at bonds. Even better. And, you know, the tax treatment, there's a lot to discuss there. But if you're targeting income, there are other alternatives. And one of the things I was going to ask is,
Starting point is 02:07:11 particularly since with like, you know, there are a lot of private market bonds. but I wanted to get us know more about how my money JA and I guess probably even not necessarily your own experience but what has been your observation of the preference share and the public bond market on the GSC? I mean you see there it's it's a I hate to call it a hidden secret by someone who's in secret. I'll give you an example. Last week when we were talking, if you heard, because we were talking so much about the Scotia thing, and Lisztanth had come on and he was talking about Scotia. He said a couple of things in that just because we're focused on Scotia, and there's so many points, I never went into it, but it stuck with me,
Starting point is 02:08:05 and it's one of those things like I wish I'd said something more about. You remember, when it's given the excuse about, you know, like a pensioner, maybe you get your money out, you get it out early, and then, you know, you want it back in something safe. So you want the bond, and say you go to a grant, bond and you're getting like a 4% 5% bond and you tick out the 25% tax yada yada yada and i and i thought what the hell no knocking what you're saying what you're saying was very sensible very no no it was it was a lot of sense around it but yeah but to me like i was saying but there's not a lot of dollars to get income yeah yeah man because i thought about it and i thought can you
Starting point is 02:08:44 imagine a pension making and i can understand a pinch on making that decision But he also was highlighted more than once that is not just a pension. You know, there are people out there who are doing their own pensions and they do that. And I thought, yeah, I'm getting my Scotia money and I care about income. And I'm getting it early, right? I think we'd work it out back at the envelope like three or four years worth of pension money early. I can get in the US. You're worth it up front, yeah, man.
Starting point is 02:09:16 And you're going to ignore. all of the barita bonds on the market, all of the Mayberry bond, I think they just drop one on nine or ten percent. And the May, remember of the MJE? Yeah, the MJE bond. Are you going to instead going to a government bond
Starting point is 02:09:33 for the fact that it's named G.O.J. Yes, it's kind of safe. But the truth is, I feel if Jamaica, if Jamaica's government sinks, it's going to sink the same time that cash pot sink. Those two things are very much. together. Matter of fact, I feel like have you had a government can drop and cash part still have
Starting point is 02:09:56 gone. No, no, no. That is a reasonable. Yeah. Trust in the strength of a business and the strength of a appeal that yeah, it can't stop. Yeah, bro, we start the Olympics. I feel if, father, forgive me, I feel if God come, it can't come around the cash part draw because the rapture a pause for we hear what a man play and then yeah man then in can finish what i'm doing nothing stops the cash pot draw right and that that fuels a lot of the earnings and it ends up some of that money ends up paid out paying out some of the bond dividends no with that in mind if i get all the scotia money and i truly care about dividends because i said that i like the scotia for the scotia dividend was respectable but it wasn't that great yeah beaten by almost everything else on the market it wasn't
Starting point is 02:10:47 but it was respectable right why would not take this windfall and put it in a corporate bond like the mjee or or even one of the baritas barit have some usdd bonds there yeah why wouldn't i do that if i want i give a little freebie if i want a little further and mayberry kind of those who know no mayberry tends to have the best usdd jmd rate why wouldn't i take my Scotia money in j in usd have it sent to mjee get the great rate to transfer it back to jmd and then buy one of the good mjee bonds with it and get that's that's all your bill a pension but yeah but it wasn't the right time to bring that point in yeah because it was a bigger principle that was in that i'm saying exactly but i'm saying it no because i think it's a good and useful principle
Starting point is 02:11:39 for people to get and it's a reality of money because guess what Can you imagine you and me, you go with what Lysanto said and I go with what I just said. And two years ago, I'm collecting 9% on top of my Scotia payout and you are collecting 3% after tax. But I have to pretend that I feel good about what you did because you're getting it from the GOJ. No. Do the right thing. You say NGOJ work is what allow SVL and MJ and those things to exist. And Randy, this is where I'm going to push back.
Starting point is 02:12:15 So get the writing at the end of the day, what you care about? In terms of what? Sorry, I think there's a delay. Sorry, there's a delay. But you, you know, I'm reminded of what companies will. There was a conversation we had a few weeks back. And we have to remember, companies will use a market for their own objective. And individuals, I think we should also take the approach that individuals have to use a market for their own
Starting point is 02:12:43 purpose. Definitely. And to, yep. And you know, this is where I think it comes about of coming up with a system. If it is, there's a system that you feel comfortable with. So a pensioner who like the idea of investing, but it's not willing to risk the stability of a large, they want to be attacked. They want to, you know, it may be word of mouth, it may be, there maybe a social goal for them to say yeah man me invested in Scotia and I get the dividend. There may be an objective there that is not monetarily oriented, but at the same time, they can in their own circle or a thing to say, oh, this is something I want to achieve from it. But for somebody who is more young, more nimble and willing to take on certain type of risk,
Starting point is 02:13:38 They may say boy, it's score shutting the yield is not there, but say for example, you know, having done for somebody, I'm just assuming that somebody did the grant and say, an opportunity here to make something. I'm targeting income. All right, let me jump in. When it was 61, let me, when it jump up to 75 or I get my profit, boom, I come out of that. I want income. All right, let me go buy a preference share or let me go buy a M.J.E. Bonn because that now, they've been able to get a lump sum of dividends as a cash billed via the capital appreciation and then now jump into something that will still achieve them the objective.
Starting point is 02:14:28 But when you think about that, there's a lot more work there. And I say all of that to say, I'm going back to the journey that I have been on, on is that you come up with a system, come up with a system and you stress test a system on what you want to do because we shouldn't be, it is difficult, but at the same time, you can be emotionally connected to the company because it is not the company you own, it is a shares your own and the shares is separate on a market because, and separate in the sense that the company is not the one you're trading with it. It is somebody, it's another individual.
Starting point is 02:15:14 And understanding that, yes, the underlying nature of it is related to the company. But at this point in time, you want to buy it, somebody wants to sell it. Do you, is it at your price? Is it at their price? You agree to disagree by either buying or not buying, selling or not selling. So that feels like a big ringmaro, but essentially the market is there for you to use it. And whatever objective, whether financial or otherwise, is about being honest with yourself to say, hey, listen, I like for me, I like the idea of income-oriented stocks. So if I had shares with Scotia and I get this big lump sum, for me, I would naturally redeploy that into probably one of the higher yielding preference shares being probably like, I think PBS has like an 11.75% preference share. And I said, oh, I'm jumping into that because that is what I am seeking.
Starting point is 02:16:28 and I had an opportunity to trade, to get that capital appreciation and redeploy it into something that still achieve my goals. And I started off by saying this point that the market is there. Companies use a market for their purpose. In individuals, investors have to use a market for their purpose. The pension funds did for their purpose. The brokers did for their purpose. We cannot think, you cannot get too attached to the
Starting point is 02:16:58 emotional side and you have to regulate the emotional side and you regulate that with a system. But come up with a system and you can use the market to achieve what you want to achieve. But yes, that is my long monologue. But I just wanted to share that perspective that I have been on over these last few months. Well, I'm happy that you're getting there. I'm trying from down the T's here. You don't come to grow and you're going to get where to help you get there quicker. Because you're discovering what, what, what, what, what, what, all.
Starting point is 02:17:31 what I do is codified, I mean, there's a lot more to it, but I codify that thing, but it comes right back to the same thing, so we're in agreement. My thinking, however, is just that, and I said it last week, and I said it again,
Starting point is 02:17:43 that on this show, 99% of the times when I'm speaking, I'm speaking from, and I'm also taking on, I hope, the perspective of the individual investor, the retail investor, the person investing their money.
Starting point is 02:17:59 So I can understand many reasons for a pension to buy a GOJ bond but if somebody's trying to do their own pension no brother you go and buy that MJA bond or that PBS bond or whatever cash pot is not going to fail before
Starting point is 02:18:18 Scotia right what you want is continuity of income in that case you want the biggest income the biggest safest income and safety there is how reliable is it Yeah.
Starting point is 02:18:33 Maybe they pay them bonds. They pay it out all the time. And there's a track record of safety. When the thing is up, they redeem it and you get your money and if you want, you can go back into something else. And Mayberry is not only one, right? So we don't have a large track record of the bond market is new. And on the bond market so far, everything has been pretty up to scratch, up to standard. So with that in mind, it then becomes a percentage gain.
Starting point is 02:19:04 Do I want 10% or do I want 9% or do I want 8% tax-free? 8% tax-free work out to more than 10% taxed. So maybe I want the 8% or do I not want to leave US dollars? So do I go into a US dollar bond, blah, blah, blah, right? At that point now I'm just trying to pick the fastest vehicle. I'm not picking the vehicle because of the name of it. And I know that there is some social aspect to it. like you want to say, hey, you know, I'm in a safe company.
Starting point is 02:19:33 I get my dividends from GK. I get my dividends from Sepra. And it's safe. That's so nice, brother, but you have less money than me. That hurt, too. You could have the same amount of money as me or more if you had the money over here, right? And that's what I want us to start thinking about. Because the truth is, they don't fall in love with the name of the thing, you know,
Starting point is 02:19:57 make an emotional decision. Part of picking those social points is an emotional decision. At the end of the day, the social campaign a light bill. Yeah, and I think you'd have to be very honest. That's the perspective I try to bring on on Brick Talk.
Starting point is 02:20:13 No, sorry, yeah, I appreciate that. I think there's like a five or seven second delay, but yeah, you bring that to Brick Talk, and I think it's oftentimes knowing up front that that is a cost of of making certain decisions that yes you're in it there's a cost of safety
Starting point is 02:20:39 safety doesn't mean you don't you're not there's a cost to safety play that as a proof yep yeah it's a risk reward the safe for you word then do they say it in it
Starting point is 02:20:53 if they get by nature for that safety. All right, cool. I know I will get my three percent. So then say, go. But if there's any variable, but I would necessarily agree with you know on the thing there, on the
Starting point is 02:21:11 the SVB bond or MJE bond being safer than the DOJ. I think, what I think it actually happens though is that the cost for safety isn't necessarily linear in the way where I don't think, in the case I got 3% to 8%, I don't think it's enough that 5% isn't, you know, I think the level of safety you get in those corporate bonds isn't enough for me to go.
Starting point is 02:21:48 It isn't so far from the 3% bond that I would then go to the 3% bond. not worth 5% for you. Oh, no, I'm with you. I'm just being nice. I'm with you. To me, to me, it's, hey, do you want 10% or do you want 2%? I'm saying yes, the GOJ is more safe in certain ways. But I don't think that safety is so far from the corporate bonds that we named that it's worth it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:22:30 Yeah, and I'd also add particularly within the environment that we're in where the interest rate environment has gone up and we don't know what are going to be like the more medium term impacts of interest rates. So I think that's another component of it because the value of each dollar getting in an income oriented environment, in an income-seeking portfolio, has to be very different. Has to be very different within all of that. And there's a cost to something and being aware of the costs, not being, being willfully ignorant of something is truly a disservice to an individual when they approach it like that. Yep.
Starting point is 02:23:30 Yeah. And I think a lot of individuals. I think a lot of individuals pigeonhole themselves into being quote unquote safer than they need to. Yeah. So
Starting point is 02:23:49 you know you find yourself going to Warren Buffett levels of safety but you're not investing Warren Buffett levels of money and you're not feeling that level is of risk. But, but if you don't know that you know yeah if you don't know that that you don't have to be as
Starting point is 02:24:09 extreme as your being then the cost for it is that you lose all on profit because no very nobody's going to tell you yeah no the person that you're asking this to they their job is to accept your money and put it into what you ask or sell you something so that they can get their bonus and they don't necessarily always have the incentive to sell it the best thing. Yep. Yeah. And it's a strong thing, there is a strong yep
Starting point is 02:24:42 that people face there. That were generalizations just hit them hot. Like, and again, you don't know. You know how often we say, and knowing your personal
Starting point is 02:24:56 risk level goes a far away. Like, people don't actually know how much risk they're taking on, or even willing to take on. They just, so they hear, oh, I am thinking they, it's two men come in the room, and one says, I am a high risk investor.
Starting point is 02:25:14 And another person says, I'm also a high risk investor. And they are widely different in the things they're going for. But it's just the perception of risk is different from the actual risk. Because one person thinks the thing he's doing is risky. And he's going into distress bonds. He's buying bonds from PDVSA. And the other.
Starting point is 02:25:33 guy he said boy am a high risk investor I would buy corporate bonds with a B plus rating two different two very different people definitely definitely so I'm glad that you're going on the road you made a strong
Starting point is 02:25:56 point to Andy B that it comes back to you're having your own personal personal model if you will or method your own system yeah man your system has to be has to be tuned for you And to answer your first question around the bonds on the market, they're not the junior market, right?
Starting point is 02:26:19 So they don't trade that heavily. But they are available from time to time. And we have said a couple, at this point it did a couple years ago, that there are oftentimes options to get some of those bonds because they don't trade. there are oftentimes options to buy them below par on the market. That's significant. An opportunity for capital appreciation. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 02:26:48 I see I don't want to step on nobody too. I saw a group member do something with the AI group today where they're just, they're just, they're pretty much just asking, yo, which bonds on the market are available below power right now? And he just listed them happily based on the curry prices. And boom, there was. It was all there.
Starting point is 02:27:06 And that's real, that's a real thing. you can get into, right? And the only reason you can get into that is because somebody is getting out, which is the beauty of the market that it affords your opportunity. Usually you buy the bond and you might not be able to get out and have to find somebody or you just stuck in there or be able to broken ice and decide they'll buy it from you but you have to take a haircut or you just list it and somebody might do it and maybe you choose to take the haircuts and say they're selling it at 100, they sell it at 99 or 98 and
Starting point is 02:27:37 hey, somebody will be. have bought things on the market that have sold. I've bought some of those same MJE bonds that have sold at lower lower than power because somebody was exiting. So it's a win-win. So the bond, I say all that to say that
Starting point is 02:27:54 the bond, the local bond market is a hidden gem. Especially if you truly care about like dividend, you know, income accumulation. The local debt market is a hidden gem. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:28:11 Not just the bonds. I said the debt market. You just click on debt and it will give you the preference shares and the bonds and you can see what they look like. It's been it's, it's been a quiet little secret
Starting point is 02:28:29 on the market for a while. So all the time I hear people talking about loving dividends. I'm like, if you guys, you really love dividends, there's so much there for you, right? There's so much there if you actually love dividends. And tying it up with that Scotia point, if people really love dividends,
Starting point is 02:28:48 even though the Scotia, the Scotia becomes maybe an even better opportunity. I'm not surprised, but I'm saddened to see. I'm not saddened. I'm happy, actually, in some ways. Like, people bought Scotia at 71 today. was scosh at 71 today
Starting point is 02:29:12 something that they know at this point is going to be bought back from them at 75 that that's that's five more than 5.5% profit that you know is coming to you very soon yeah
Starting point is 02:29:30 why wouldn't I take it because what do I want do I want cap gains do I want dividends or do I want value on top of my value I don't care what you call the value 5.6 is a huge dividend 5.6% is a huge dividend. Yeah. And one thing is not a value for you.
Starting point is 02:29:49 It's not body for me. In the form of buying at 71. Exactly. And when you see that, though you start getting more of like, that's my market approach. And all of the voices are should content in the market.
Starting point is 02:30:07 Just for years, I feel that nobody has really been representing the retail side of the value proposition. That's the part that has always been easy to forget. So no, that's why, that was actually the, going back to the Scotia thing, that was actually the whole point of us talking about Scotia, us being happy about Scotia. Then I know, I know, I can vote for Phil and the group members
Starting point is 02:30:30 because we've spoken about in there. We understand how the Scotia thing go from the jump. Like, we have this thing laid out. Like, it's going to be difficult for them to lose. but this is the biggest that they've had to quote-unquote lose ever. So if you flip that on the other side,
Starting point is 02:30:48 this is the biggest chance that retail investors have ever had to make their voices heard. So it's like a quote-unquote fight that you're going to, you know, up front that you're going to lose. It's that 60-odd billion dollar transaction. These guys aren't joking around.
Starting point is 02:31:03 Of course, they'll link all of the top 10 people. Of course, I'm going to call it the pensions. Of course, I'm going to Sartreqor and say, hey, time you're, hey, we give the money and you have your APO coming, you're going to take some fun in, yeah, one hand share the other. As that gentleman said, a couple weeks back, monastap another man transaction. Right? That I think of the thinking, we know that going in, but it's a thing where like, hey, it's a fight I know I'm going to lose. So it's not about losing the fight. It's about how you lose the fight.
Starting point is 02:31:37 do I just allow them to walk over me or do I bet them know that hey our voices are going to we know you're going to win but you're not going to win easily you just want your power on flesh right you need to know that exactly exactly and that was true at 6150 somebody heavier weight push it and it got to 75 oh thank you we know we're we know we're going to quote and quote lose but hey think about that how many fights do you lose and get paid because you lose it like Mike Tyson and Jake Paul everybody's going to win but there's going to be some respect
Starting point is 02:32:14 put into this thing that's the real thing right yeah it's about winning it's about the respect going into the thing but we're all going to win at the night and that's the real fight the retail voices have been ignored for years decisions made with not even a thought of retail and all I'm saying is you're at the table too
Starting point is 02:32:33 so include us now in everything and for some things we have to include it for ourselves like yo you have to have your own system because nobody's going to build a system for you that's
Starting point is 02:32:45 that's as perfect for you as you can build other than I who can pay it to do it for you yeah and I probably also add to that I probably also add to that yes there's a system but don't you
Starting point is 02:33:01 the market is there as a guide in common property system, come up with your own benchmarks of what success means for you, what loss means for you. Yes. And I always remember you're saying this before and it stands out to me every time. They are companies using markets for themselves. Other institutional players using markets for themselves. You have to approach individuals, retail bracket has to approach it for them.
Starting point is 02:33:33 sells. So for me, if I am trying to earn to save up to buy a $200 million house up in Norbrook, and I am trying to do it in a safe manner, all right. Well, I'm going to take out on a tech on some risk. So I'm going to buy some PBS bond, some PBS preference shares. Because that risk is something I'm comfortable with in achieving that goal versus buying Scotia just for the sake that oh it is so safe but I going to tell me 50 years to get to the goal versus five or 10 years with a good starting of capital and I'm just throwing out figures just for this just for the sense of the argument that the market is there for no man you mentioned the PBS bonds too much time I have been looking at it one time feed for
Starting point is 02:34:25 I've been looking at it quite extensively. You can tell you. Where's PBS bought that company in Trinidad recently? No, this was long before that. You find out of little gems on the market. Yes, yes, yes. So this is from long before that I've been looking at it and trying to understand the tax aspect of it. Because like I mentioned here, well, at the time you probably have known this.
Starting point is 02:34:51 I wasn't in Jamaica. So it's like, okay, if I do this, what are the taxing? implications there but now that situation has changed i'm yeah i get you i get you so i'm gonna say all right let me see what can go on i'm using the market i think the beauty of pbos is that exactly and a quick answer for you there although everybody should check this for themselves but i think it's that it's it's a great thing because it's not in jamaica technically it's in barbados right yeah yeah i could be wrong the yes PBS is based out of the same thing like quantas yes so i i want to say no tax well like like the usual
Starting point is 02:35:37 i want to no tax do your own research and get your own tax advice like with these things yes of course yeah of course of course yeah but yeah there's wonderful options and then in in yeah i just want to just share that you know everybody has to come with a system and on a journey and like with things in life you don't use a market to judge yourself use yourself use a market to help you achieve your own goal yep yeah but you're saying something it won't happen overnight but you got happen faster than you think yeah i just finished in the pbs point but maybe i's given out too much free jems yeah yes yeah i think one of the one of the beauties are the pbis situation is that it's a giant that is still hungry p.D scott runs that thing like he's still
Starting point is 02:36:37 hunger he's hungry it's not an old slow corporation that's a hungry corporation that's being ignored i think mostly on the market nobody pays attention to it because ordinary shares are also on the market and the trade in u.s.d on the market and um i think they had some hiccups over the last two years and i think he has made some moves to fix those things i think in cleanup and entire set a department. Yeah, he had revamped a lot of the operations. Yeah, man. What looked like, you know,
Starting point is 02:37:08 essentially lack of financial control within the aspect of the Central American operation. So a lot of hard work was there was done. But I think one of the reasons, well, you know me, I will always be politically correct. Yeah,
Starting point is 02:37:23 you can say it nicely. Yeah, some people over there and him clean house. he went over there and he cleaned house and he brought in to my view somebody trusted that he would have known from before from the Xerox days the share price is still below what it was years ago yeah so but what had and then he has also broadened the scope of the company yes he has broaden the scope but also to I think in terms of like the market there's no there's no
Starting point is 02:38:04 narrative there's no market narrative around it in a sense that oh like with Tj it was just going going going it was just like what we're putting's happening over there it's a stepped away from the news and like if it's not in the news if people tend to ignore it so it's just like oh that is over there so like with all things you can't use the noise that you hear to look to say oh that is where the opportunity is often it is where things are very quiet that that is where the opportunities are you know both it's eh be be greedy and others are fearful in this case i can tell you most people don't even know pbS is listed that's true yeah what people don't know it's it's it also doesn't have a it also
Starting point is 02:38:54 doesn't have a jmd listing it's listed only on the u sd side of the market most people don't know that it's listed. If I got a lot of Scotia shares in U.S. dollars, there are worse places I could put it than P.B. I'm not everybody to do that, but it's not advice, but the dividend yield last year was 7% on the U.S. dollar. That's what I'll say. And I have great respect for P.B. Scott and his team
Starting point is 02:39:27 and how they approach the market too. Yeah, they believe in shareholders. I will give them that. Yeah, man. But they, they, not in a selfish way, but in a collective way for the business.
Starting point is 02:39:44 Yeah, and also selfish. I'm sure that he's in with his own ownership. So he won't do certain things to screw shareholders because in his own words, I'm also a shareholder.
Starting point is 02:39:56 Yeah. Matter of fact, there is a little clip I have of him talking in, I wanted 20, 23 or 24, showt out the field for making me look this up and find it. And it is probably one of the best little clips that almost every CEO on the market should watch because he's answering a question at his ageing here,
Starting point is 02:40:20 but he said, just because I don't have it ready in front of me, but he says, somebody is saying, ask a question about minority shareholders, and he said, I don't like the term minority shareholders. It's just shareholders. We're all shareholders in this company. And so, and he went on to speak about doing things for shareholders
Starting point is 02:40:42 because he himself is a shareholder. A shareholder. Yeah, man. Like, I have much respect for that. That, yeah, it should be mandatory viewing for every CEO on the market. And the young ones should watch it twice. vice. Anyway, I don't want
Starting point is 02:41:08 to keep you out too long in my boss. I'm happy to hear from you. Happy you get that nice quantus money. That's a strong dividend, too. A nice good dividend. I hope you get so adding in check, but I think you get some cap gains to go along with it.
Starting point is 02:41:28 I hope you never sell out the whole life. But if you did, you're good either way. But I expected a strong dividend, I did not expect such a strong dividend. They stuck, it would appear that they stuck to the letter of their projection in the prospectus. Not many companies did that. Well, I think we had made mention of a lot of the concerns we, you can have, because you go into this with an idea and a target, but the reality of operating a business, as you were. you would know with anything is that you can have a target but things happen and it's about how you
Starting point is 02:42:11 respond to it and i i yes i do believe that because of the the nature of the largest shareholders and i'll probably adopt the terminology of not seeing minority shareholders because i'm trying to emulate the right thing and i say to say if you have been able to anybody the largest shareholders. So yeah. Because the largest shareholders are actively involved and have got support from the largest sources of capital and relationships are small. And the nature of what they're doing will help them. It's like I scratch my, you scratch my back, I scratch yours. So I think there is a mutually beneficial arrangement with. with how they move forward.
Starting point is 02:43:09 I agree with you. I said it, when we spoke about Qantas time, and I still believe in it, the only threat I can see to Qantas is if they choose to do an APO. As long as they don't go that route, and I think they're sharp enough to not go that route. Because they can raise the nature of the companies that they can raise funds via bonds.
Starting point is 02:43:31 As long as they don't go, APO route, Qantas is a, a, a, I'm tempted to say I'm better signal. Randy? And the APO safe in the same way? What standpoint? What, you know? Signos is?
Starting point is 02:43:50 Like, signals? No, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, signal is liquid, the way the whole thing? No. Okay, I don't mean APO safe, I mean, it won't happen. Oh, you mean, even for themselves, for themselves, for themselves. Then some people are fine, well, where others are not. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:44:07 So, yeah. Ah, yes. which is one of the things that I'm worried about. Still I'm worried about. So when you say they're too smart, I think they are so smart that they can do an APO and not worry about my problems in that area. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:44:25 I think for me. Yeah, but if I'm, if I'm reading between the lines of what I think and the B is saying, yes, it wouldn't hurt the principles, but they have such a strong relationship with their, I think, a small customer base and a lot of their customer base is powerful and also involved in the board of the company. That is one aspect of it, but I would add to that, really, that remember, their target
Starting point is 02:44:57 business, their main source of business is investing in loans and other income or income-bearing asset and who owns a lot of those assets, security dealers, pension funds, and large banks. So the reason I go down that line is that with, because these players are now also equity partners, and I'm speaking quite broadly, intentionally, because these equity, capital holders are now, will also, may also be doing business with them. They want to ensure that everybody along the value chain gets experiences against in a reasonable and appropriate. I agree. I hope.
Starting point is 02:45:59 This is my hope. Yeah, I'm banking on it. So I, I'm a pessimist. So, yeah, I will feel this. I see these things and I feel the same way, yeah, but in the same way, I also know that those same type of people who you're talking about have gone APOs in other situations. True. And the reality is, you know, we're never sure. We never are, but that's the nature of the game, eh?
Starting point is 02:46:31 You know, it's always knowing what's your trigger to get out of it, i.e. going back to the whole system's thing. Yeah. And then probably one of the things I probably end on, I'm addressing the APO point, because the only reason I would feel comfortable with them going about an APO is if I see significant movement on regulator movement for the banks, particularly related to Basel 3, and the banks need to offload a large number of assets and they need capital relief, that would be my trigger to say, hmm, if they're going out, after it for that, that would make sense for the APO for me.
Starting point is 02:47:11 If not, then I'd say, all right, what's going on there? I'd go back to question my thesis to say, does this make sense or not? Well, on the ground, you'll understand why that's a dangerous thing. Yeah. Yeah, that's a dangerous thing. I understand you're coming from the corporate perspective, like for the company. I'm not going from that. I'm going from the perspective of it.
Starting point is 02:47:44 I buy anything at $15. Yeah. I buy it at 15 and then APO at 7. I am dead. So if they, and I don't believe that they would do a, I don't want to introduce the idea of a safe APO. There's no such thing. But I believe that if they were to do an APO,
Starting point is 02:48:07 it would be truly for capital raising purposes. So I believe they would truly put a significant amount of units out to the public. at a much lower price on the market price and that would that does what it does there's no arguing about what that does
Starting point is 02:48:23 yeah that's death and that's the real risk as long as they avoid that yeah contest is something that you don't and I say that before they did the sell of a dividend I know that they've done
Starting point is 02:48:35 the sell of a dividend I mean it's even more more attractive congrats of the people bought at IPO bigger congrats of the people who wait till it drop and buy even more. Because their yield, their yield is even nicer.
Starting point is 02:48:53 Because again, the first dividend seems to match the, to the letter, the payout that they projected in Yemen in the prospectus. And that's not, again, that's not something that most companies do. So I respect it. I hope it's not just a first year thing and then drop it after, you know? Signos to do the same kind of thing. So I hope it's not that. But congrats to the people who have the money here. And again, retail, if them do the wrong thing, be a wagonist.
Starting point is 02:49:26 Quantas don't know you own the shares. Yeah. And just to go back to persons who bought in at a low price, I'm seeing here on the 14th of September, 400 million, $440,000. they've got $440 million where the shares were traded at 1677 and now it's 23 30 so you talk about cat peeant you talk about dividends yeah it's something like you get the house early on my parents always taught me you know you don't talk yeah that's smart that is smart
Starting point is 02:50:07 that is smart and quantus is tradable in both currencies so i i really like that to that yeah I back I wouldn't mind that for more more securities on the market yeah yeah but my love a more scale to market big up on the B yeah yeah yeah yeah big up always good to hear from you all right uh I say I thought David was coming on but I don't see I don't seem come on at all yeah maybe so but it is what it is. I mean, I liked. I won't stress out too much.
Starting point is 02:50:49 I think we'll have a great episode. I won't go too long. Big up. I want to say, a big up before we wrap, though, to the dream of himself, just Jason.
Starting point is 02:50:58 Oh. Yeah, man. If I, yeah, man, got a Scotia thing, and represent fully, boy.
Starting point is 02:51:07 Speak up, man. From one, from the Scottish and you represent it fully. Yeah. Yeah, man. You know the next thing, too.
Starting point is 02:51:15 Every Eric Fox machine traffic, you know? Yo! Yeah, right? I can't see that not to you. Jay's supposed to happy, you know? I cannot, I cannot see,
Starting point is 02:51:25 I can't, I can't say, your boy, but see an arc fox I'm not thinking to him at this point. One fully represented me, basically. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:51:36 Trust me, trust me. You know, I rate him too because, I rate him because he, he made it clear, he sent by him one share angle, so he understood that it, That it's a, from the jump, you know, say,
Starting point is 02:51:47 oh, this is not a war that is easily or likely to be won. But it's about planting a flag and say, yo. It's about the fight. It's about the fight. It's not about the winning, yeah. You know you're going to lose going in. Yeah, I seem asked a couple of things that. How about your money, J.A. instead.
Starting point is 02:52:05 Actually, Jason, at the start, my money J.A. used to be called Your Money J.A. That was actually initial term, Your MoneyJ.A.com. and then we personalized it I want to big up the person who mentioned it and I thought, why not? But I do not remember who it is. Big of whoever you were.
Starting point is 02:52:23 I think it was a woman, but I'm not but it was your money, JA, and we had my money, in the same time. We were talking about the idea. Yeah, why not my money? Personalize it more. Randy Cantam, say,
Starting point is 02:52:35 him have a crystal ball. I saw him get the stock picks, right? No obia, my brother. No, no obia. The crystal ball is the JSC and the grow. I look with our research. Yeah, and the market becomes very, very
Starting point is 02:52:48 clear. Yeah, but big up Jason. And all the other shareholders, but big up Jason because I saw you took the time out, you actually went and you make your voice heard. I think that's the point. Yeah, I don't want to believe by the point. Then I have anything
Starting point is 02:53:06 else? Yeah, yeah, man, exactly. You're a shareholder. I could have one share you have your shareholder, and that should be the message for everybody tonight. even one share you are a shareholder nobody no more than you except the people who have more shares than you but it no matter you're still a shareholder yep yep yeah all right uh you have anything you want to tell the people before we're up then i uh not a big this week but thanks for everybody for tuning it and as every as the message remains the same keep investing
Starting point is 02:53:37 start investing keep investing there's there's it it it doesn't get better without doing it so yeah there's there's no he's a preprily prepare say he failed the prepare so prepare to fail yeah there's no why you know i didn't invest and there's there's there's there's something at the end of it for waiting for me now take a step whatever you're doing at some point make some of our investment because you plan for your future so yeah start investing keep investing Yep, big up. If you guys want to have a proper session with him,
Starting point is 02:54:22 you hear people talk about having sessions with him. You heard earlier. Yes. You heard earlier. Yeah, man. Personalize advice and you don't have to worry about it. Nobody not tell him, say, yo, ad back, tell them to buy this and get a bonus.
Starting point is 02:54:39 It's the thing about. Your portfolio, your goals, your investment. And yeah, and big up, yeah, Andrew. We've had quite a good time with his portfolio. And I'm sure he can say that we've done well towards his goals. Yes, sir. Yeah, man, money load.
Starting point is 02:55:08 You know your invoice, man. We want to say, yeah, my money, let's go. Yes, I'll play a catch-up too. You know, what are you for? you're going to have such a surprise when you reach there's more mountains to climb there's more mountains it's more mountain to climb my brother i was saying somebody recently the feeling of i want more you know i need more money investing you're doing this thing it's the best feeling and the worst feeling worse because boy i wish i told me
Starting point is 02:55:49 make some more money on this thing I'm going to. But the best feeling, because you actually have somewhere going. It's, there's a very big difference when, oh, I have, I have some money sitting down, but I don't really know where to invest it.
Starting point is 02:56:05 That, that's starting at zero. That is, you've made no investments. So there's nothing for your money to do. But when you're feeling one more money, because I've already sat down, I've worked out of plan and my money is all invested into that one plan.
Starting point is 02:56:24 You know, the reason you want more money is because you already have a direction. You already, you already know what you're doing. I already have a strongly about conviction around what you're doing. And you can look at it and say, boy, you know, when this workout or when this thing happen, I'm going to make so much money. You know, you feel so good about it. You know, so on more. It's the, imagine I had about it.
Starting point is 02:56:49 If you're going back five years and saying, boy, about one million to Transjamaica, imagine, imagine, imagine more, imagine I get another three.
Starting point is 02:57:00 Three million to it. Imagine every single money. Boy, I may get the money and someone is going to transfer maker. If you had that vision then, then, yeah,
Starting point is 02:57:14 you'd have always wanted that much more money. Yeah, ma, I wish we can get some more money. Because here we are now. Everybody who did, that? Well, them smiling and tweeting on all those things, right? So, yeah.
Starting point is 02:57:29 It's the best feeling and the worst feeling. Yep. I'll be rich people who know, say. Trust me. That's a fact. That's a fact. The two richest people never talk to say that. Tell most. The eyes get a bit more.
Starting point is 02:57:47 Yep. Yep. Yep. Not a money. if you guys want to understand the market you want to make the market not a mysterious thing but you want it to be clear not that it becomes magically easy but it's like a hard road to travel but no you realize that you're always a road versus what a man play yeah man yeah man yeah man if you want to that check out grow every mickler comes that's grow if you're already to grow and you want to get deep into this thing I understand it more advanced grow. This month, advanced grow.
Starting point is 02:58:20 I am specifically, you hear how KJ was about talking about some of the Scotia things, especially post-cocha. That's because this month, advanced grow. It's on a different topic every month. Advanced grow that is not beginner grow. And this month is specifically on the post-Scocia. I'm laying out
Starting point is 02:58:36 all of the plays that I can see and the timelines and what I think. My thoughts are on it. It's stuff I wouldn't say at Brick Talk, that's what I'm saying there. And also I also a bit of serious dividend investing. Like I'm always talking about wanting to do a grow on dividend,
Starting point is 02:58:54 like practical dividend investing in a way that I don't often hear it spoken about or done. So that's what, those two things are two parts of this month. So but two parts in one advanced girl. And that's what I'll be doing. Like you want me join this one, man.
Starting point is 02:59:08 If you like the conversations, hey, listen, the door is always opening up. I would strongly encourage you to the beginner grow first because it, It sits on top of that concept, but let me want a way we can work out something because I think you specifically would also. There was one I did months ago that I thought you'd benefit from and definitely this one. I think you'll find a lot of value in it.
Starting point is 02:59:33 And I stand behind it. Listen, if you do, if you do it, if you're a beginner grow and advanced growing and you're done here like, you know, this wasn't worth it. You tell me, if you can honest, if you participate, you get it all done and you can honestly tell me, say, Randy, this is that one making a sense. I scam me, I scam the people, I will send you back a hundred money before. I don't want to buy the run come try and get that deal for, forget it. Randy, as you know, I'm a respectful man, so I'd always give you the politically correct response. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 03:00:05 Well, if you give you the politically correct version of boy, this is a scam, I will politically correctly send you back your money. But I'm confident I won't have to be because I know what I do every month. I know that work I put into it every month. It's not a joke thing. And it's why you hear people come on. I don't, what I think some people are surprised about? I don't ask people to come on and say how good grow is.
Starting point is 03:00:26 I probably should, but I don't. But it genuinely is, I think that I put a lot of work into, and the grow group is a space that I try my best to put some practical working. And I'm happy when I hear the people making money from it. Because that's the point of it. So yeah, every make a lot com slash GRWR sign up for it. it's worth it. I'm biased and saying it, but it is worth it.
Starting point is 03:00:50 And the two things work well together. You don't grow, you get a discount with deny, deny in the group, the conversations there. If you take it serious, people are making headways into becoming Richard and they were yesterday. And trust me, it's not an overnight thing, but I can tell you,
Starting point is 03:01:08 it happens a lot quicker than you think. It's not overnight, but it happens a lot quicker than you think. it happens so quick that you don't realize that it's happening that yo I'm still complaining about this yo this still at that market but you look back and go yo two years ago
Starting point is 03:01:26 this was a hundred grand play now it's uh I don't know you insert your number there I don't want to send millions I don't want to try to sell it on that kind of hype but it's a space of people who are serious about investing so I invite everybody who is serious to join us and I invite the people who are still waiting
Starting point is 03:01:45 are still wondering to join us next week and enjoy the next version of it. And for the grow grads already, I will see you guys at the chill session, which I should have had this weekend, but I will be doing next weekend. And of course, advanced grow after that. Thank you guys, of course, for joining us. Thank you, Denai, for doing this. Sorry, again, we never had no video this week. But, hey, no video, and I think it's still good.
Starting point is 03:02:11 The truth, I kind of always liked our other episodes. So I'm biased in that. I think it was a great episode. And yeah, look out for another one next week. And thank you for everybody who joined on the points I've made. And yeah, it's another brick talk. Thank you guys. And have a good night.
