Starting point is 00:00:00 On this episode of the Empty Netters podcast, Logan Thompson signs a six-year extension with the caps, and there is an opening on that Team Canada Blue Line at Four Nations. And the huge news of the episode, the biggest mid-season trade we've seen in 20 years. Miko Rattenin is now on the Carolina Hurricanes. Let's break it down. Ice is ready, and we are back with another episode of the Empty Netters podcast, brought to you by BetMGM. I am your host, Dan Powers, alongside Chris.
Starting point is 00:00:32 powers as always unbelievable he's got a new cut he looks like a million bucks he doesn't look like big bird the goon anymore how do you feel i feel faster i feel lighter i feel quick yeah um dan said to me once wags that he is nicer to me when i have short hair what do you think about that dude dude i i i don't even think i mean to do it but i'm telling you it's like when his hair is long as long as it just was and it's just like floppy and stupid and I just see your face you just look so dumb that it annoys me and I'm mean to you it's not even that I want to punch it it's just that I'm like you're an idiot yeah yeah you have a quicker temper you're a mupp with me yeah yeah you say something stupid or something that agitates me even in the slightest with your long hair
Starting point is 00:01:23 and I'm like yeah but but with short hair I'm like you're like oh maybe maybe he's right he's an adult yeah yeah like literally I I'm like this, this is an adult man. Yep. I am going to take him seriously. Wow. It's a big thing for you. It's a big thing for us.
Starting point is 00:01:39 I think for as long as it remains short and looking good, a lot of great things are coming our way. Wow. It's going to be a big month. Huge month. Big month. I will say it's the least blonde I think I've ever seen it. Dude, this is a random tangent, but dude, it's hilarious to me how often I get beaked for dyeing my hair. when my hair has literally, literally gotten darker every year of my life.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Like, it is the darkest it's been ever this year. It just, and it broke the record from last year. Yeah. And people are like, you dye your hair. And I'm like, my hair is getting darker. Who the fuck thinks I'm dying my hair? Well, it is, like, here's the deal. In a month, it's going to be blonder than it is now.
Starting point is 00:02:22 Yeah, well, the ends will be. Like, this, the top will always be this color. Your roots are always dark, but I'm here to, I mean, listen, I don't know what you do in the privacy of your own home or bathroom. Disgusting, despicable things. Yeah. So I'm here to say you've never dyed your hair. In fact, Chris and I shared a moment.
Starting point is 00:02:40 We were at a meeting at Amazon years and years ago. And we finished a meeting. We got in the elevator, and the elevator doors opened, and these three lovely black women walked in, and they were so fun and so funny. And immediately they were like, I love your hair. Oh, my God. And they started touching his hair.
Starting point is 00:02:59 It was great. And then one of them was like, who is your, who does your color? Yeah. And Chris was like, oh, and this is my hair. And she was like, that's funny. She was like, that's funny, honey. It's not. And I was like, and I was like, no, it is.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And then they're like, wait, seriously, you don't dye your hair? And it was a funny moment. We all laughed about it. We got off the elevator and, or they got off the elevator. Chris and I went down a couple more floors and standing there silently in the elevator. Chris finally turned to me and goes, hold on do the majority of people who meet me think I dye my hair
Starting point is 00:03:35 and I was like I now think yes I thought it was only the people that said something no like I think now it's every I realize it's it yeah maybe not later in your life because it has gotten you're getting old yeah correct it's getting darker but which I feel like is the opposite well I think it'll go it went from blonde to like whatever this is light dirty brawlown brown to gray like it'll go
Starting point is 00:03:58 Yeah, yeah. It'll go back. Yeah. You're just, your light is fading. Yeah. But yeah, I do think the majority of people who see you are like, there's a guy who dies his hair. Yeah, that sucks.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Yeah, which is why you have to cut it short more often. People don't take you seriously, dude. They think you're a fucking clown in your 30s who dies his hair. Like, fucking now people are going to go, this guy could run the country. Yep. Which is ironic. Because the man who runs the country has floppy blonde hair. True, dude.
Starting point is 00:04:25 God, damn. This is wild. This is a wild. Wild Full Circle Blument. I was home this weekend. Yeah, you were. I went to a wedding. And while I was back there, I was sitting with mom and dad.
Starting point is 00:04:38 And over Christmas, actually, we had started the show Bad Monkey on Apple TV with Mom and Dad. And we watched, I don't know, three episodes, and then we left for Winter Classic. I got back and Mom and Dad said, did you finish Bad Monkey? And I said, no. The last I saw of it was with you here. Yeah. And they go, well, we finished it. And it was, it was funny and fun.
Starting point is 00:05:01 And you should watch it. And you know, when you're just sitting at home and, like, you know, there was no, I wasn't seeing friends. It's in the winter. Not a lot to do. And I was like, I'll pump some bad money. They were like, we'd watch it with you. And I was like, okay, I watched some bad monkey.
Starting point is 00:05:14 So I watched. And I was also jet lagged to all fuck, dude. All time jet lag weekend. Really? Yeah. Don't know what it was. Literally 4 a.m. Every night.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Just staring at the ceiling. Yeah. Jesus, nightmare. Terrible. So I was watching a lot at night, and I watched the rest of the whole rest of the show. For anyone that hasn't seen it, it is pretty fun. It's not the best show I've ever seen, but it's a pretty fun show and some good twists and whatever. Vince Vaughn carries that show.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And there are other good actors in the show. I'm not saying everyone's bad, but just like Vince Vaughn, it's a Vince Vaughn vehicle. Yeah. And he's peaking, dude. He's doing the, you know. The Vince Vaughn. stick. Oh my God. The sort of Ryan Reynolds, Vince Vaughn version. Yes. Where he's just like, are you just being Vince? You know, like there's a scene he's with his lawyer and he goes,
Starting point is 00:06:06 on a scale of one to 10, how screwed am I? And the guy goes, a million. And he goes, you couldn't have just said 10. You don't think I would have understood that 10 is bad. You don't think of that. You would say 10. I wouldn't have thought, oh, this is the worst kid. You know, he's just like quick talking. Yeah. Dude. A couple kids making bad decisions, having a good time. You know. Good stuff. Yeah. He's wheeling and dealing and dealing. And speaking about getting old, Dan, he's getting old, right? Like, you know, the hair lines receding a little bit on my guy. He looks trim, he looks lean, but
Starting point is 00:06:30 I was just thinking, watching him cook on that show. Yeah. And I'm thinking about swingers and all that shit, and like, where is Vince Vaughn all time for you as a male comedy actor?
Starting point is 00:06:48 Top 10. Let me put some names on you. Yeah. And I'll say higher or lower. Yeah. As in, when I say higher lower, am I saying that person's higher or lower or or lower or Vince? You're saying this person is higher or lower than Vince. Okay. Vince is the bar.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Okay. And I'm talking full body, Dan. Yeah. Will Ferrell. Higher. Which, by the way, I realized a while ago. And it oddly came up yesterday.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I don't think I appreciate Will as much as I should. Because he has misses? No, not so much because he has misses. I just in the era when we were growing up, the old school anchorman, stepbrothers, Blades of Glory, although I am the biggest Blades of Glory. I know. Like people don't get, people are like, Blades of Glory is funny. And I'm like, no, Blades of Glory is all time. Yeah. That Anchorman, Step Brothers, Era, people are like, those are the two funniest movies of all time. There was a period. And I was like, I do not like either of those movies.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Yeah. As much as the destiny. Right. But Will is higher. Okay, Will's higher. Will is higher. Jim Carrey. Higher.
Starting point is 00:08:11 Maybe the goat. Yep. Eddie Murphy. Lower. Okay. Robin Williams. Higher. Yep.
Starting point is 00:08:24 And, dude. But Vince Vaughn, it reminds me. But also, like, I'm. Robin is, I don't, don't put Robin in this category, because Robin's a great actor. Yeah, yeah, but he's also hilarious. Yeah, yeah. And Vince Vaughn has a lot of Robin Williams, I swear. Like, when I watch him, you know, I'm like, this is Robin Williams.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Robin might be the goat, actually. Adam Sandler. Ah, ha, ha, ha. Higher, dude. Really? Yeah, I mean, like, fuck, man. Adam Sandler, come on. Dude, Adam Sandler is hilarious and has some of my favorite movies.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy. Yep. But like Wedding Crashers is, I think, funnier than any of those. Like Vince's high watermark is higher. Okay, so here's where I'm going to go. I think maybe Vince is higher than Sandler, but I like Sandler movies way more than Vince's movies. Ben Stiller. okay, higher, and I am, I think you know I'm the biggest Ben Stiller drumbanger on planet Earth.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I think Ben Stiller has maybe the greatest range in the history of comedic actors, including Robin Williams. Like, Ben Stiller is his ability to play a, like, macho douchebag villain and then also the squirmiest little torp in the world is so incredible. and I love him. Bill Murray. Higher. Yes, correct. But now, dude, so, like, that was kind of the batch
Starting point is 00:10:04 that I was circling of maybe. Okay, I was like, this is going horribly for Vince. That's the batch I'm circling of, like, maybe high. I'm not even sure I agree with you on all of those. Like, I think I have him above Adam Sandler. I think I... Well, I just said that too.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Yep. He's above Adam, but I like Sandler movies. So now you're in like Seth Rogan. Lower. Yeah. Owen Wilson. Lower. Paul Rudd.
Starting point is 00:10:26 that's a tough one I don't know I love Paul Jack Black I love Jack I know but I'm just yeah like Steve Martin
Starting point is 00:10:39 you can get into some older guys too you know like Steve Martin I don't think I obviously I've seen all those movies because I've seen everything but I don't
Starting point is 00:10:46 because I didn't grow up with Steve Martin I don't appreciate Steve Martin as much as I should because he is truly I mean like Sergeant Billco incredible
Starting point is 00:10:54 is just so good planes trains so good he's unreal yeah So, dude, I guess my point is for me, it's like Jim, let's leave Robin in the category, Jim, Robin Williams, Will Ferrell, Bill Murray. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:10 But after that, I think it starts getting, and now you're picking Nix. Yeah, it's a conversation, where I'm like, which would mean he would be five. I'm like, oh, wow, you're the fifth, you're five. He just, he did, you mentioned it earlier, he's done too many duds. Vince. Yeah. Vince, I mean, true detective was so bad for Vince. That wasn't his fault.
Starting point is 00:11:31 I think it was. I think he... No, that was... It's terrible writing. Absolutely terrible writing. And directing, no one said anything. Yeah, yeah, yeah, fair. But I also think Vince is a good enough actor to have known when he's sitting there saying,
Starting point is 00:11:46 everything's paper mache. He should have gone, this is bad. This is paper paper. I mean, like, we all know that stuff. Shout out Will Ferrell. We all know that story. Will Ferrell was, if people don't know this story, Will Ferrell was cast in a buddy cop movie and he started changing all the lines and he was like this is going to be funnier
Starting point is 00:12:05 if we do it this way and the director was like no do it my way stay to the script will wouldn't so he left the movie and then went and made his own buddy cop movie with his buddy adam mackay and mark walberg and that became the other guys yeah and then cop out with bruce willis and tracy morgan was the other movie which one of those is better brutal and i'm just saying like vince could have been like dude this isn't good yeah Dan, what about when I was looking this up a list for you? I was like, funniest actors of all time. And the first list comes up, number one, Charlie Chaplin.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And I was like, fuck you. He wasn't even talking. That is crazy. What about Steve Carell? I think, wow. You know what's funny? I don't even consider Steve Carell a comedic actor anymore. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:58 He went so hard into dramas and other type roles, and he's so good in them. But, I mean, man, Steve Carell has some bangers, some all-time comedic performances. I actually put Steve above him. No. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The office, the whole body of the office of Michael Scott. The office is a great feather. 40-year-old virgin, crazy stupid love.
Starting point is 00:13:22 Like, he has comedic chops. He does. Oh, for sure. Like he's. What about Mike Myers? It's Vince, too. You're disrespecting. You are just, you, sir, are disrespecting Wayne and Austin in a big way.
Starting point is 00:13:41 No, too iconic. By the way, shout for the listeners, if you haven't watched the Austin Powers movies in a while, they hold up just as well as they used to. Like, those movies are so smart. It's unbelievable. It's incredible. Yeah. I don't think when I was young, and this is ironic because I'm the biggest James Bond guy in the world, when I was really young, because when did first Austin Powers come out, 1997? seven? You're so good at the episode, probably. Yeah. Yeah. That's fucked up.
Starting point is 00:14:11 So, dude. That's crazy, dude. That's crazy. Interests, special interests. What do you, what do you guys think about Pedro Pascolle or Pedro Pasco? Oh, I love him, dude. I think he is actually way funnier than people think. Um, but his resume is drama is mostly drama. So can't hang with the guys we've been naming, but I actually think he's hilarious. He's hilarious. I was, I was just bringing up
Starting point is 00:14:38 because I watched, it's the, um, the unbearable weight. Oh, dude. Watch that recently. The most of the most movie I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:14:45 He's really funny in it, too. That's a good shout out. I like that. Um, but, uh, the, I was going to say,
Starting point is 00:14:52 the first time I saw Austin Power, I think it was like eight. Yeah. And I just was unaware that it's a James Bond spoof. Didn't know. And then as I got into James Bond films later in life, I was like, oh.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Yeah. Oh. It's in its dead on. Oh, it's just so, dude, it's brilliant. It's just so meta, bro. Random task. Yeah. That's one of the funniest jokes of all time, dude.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Random task is a hitman who throws a shoe. Hilarious. Just absolutely brilliant. Starting point is 00:16:45 U.S. promotional offers not available in New York, Nevada, Ontario, or Puerto Rico. You were watching that show. I've been watching Vikings. Yeah, you have. I recently what had, oh, recently, Alice and I plowed through Squid Game. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. And I haven't had a show that I, you know,
Starting point is 00:17:10 Severance is finally fucking back. Let's go. I haven't had a show to plow through in a while. And we plowed through season two. And then we were kind of left to this feeling of like, fuck, what do we watch? Yeah. And I went down a list and it's, you know,
Starting point is 00:17:23 like I've seen everything. And then there's some shows that I haven't seen the whole thing of that I'm like, damn, like, am I ready to bite into that? And dude, this is probably the sixth or seventh time Vikings has come up on a search for me where people are like, it's like six or seven seasons, it's a great show. And I was like, you know what, I'm doing it. So we did it. And I'm in, I'm in deep.
Starting point is 00:17:46 I'm almost through season two now. And this was like a couple weeks ago, I started doing this. Gory. Very gory, dear. Interesting, though, because I'm pretty sure Vikings aired on, it's on Netflix right now, but I'm pretty sure it aired on like history channel. But it's an MGM Studios production. So it's intense.
Starting point is 00:18:02 There's nudity in there. There's a lot of blood and guts. It's very Game of Thrones-esque. But I'm watching Vikings this weekend. And I also, I got to say, don't take this personally. The happiness and peace, peace is the best word that I have when you're gone, is remarkable. There's just no one peer-pressuring me to do stuff. There's no one making me drink.
Starting point is 00:18:26 There's no one making me feel like I'm failing. not only myself, but the human species. Yeah. When I'm not out and, like, drinking and doing stuff. You were the biggest FOMO guy I've ever met. Correct. And also, you, Chris Wags is the type of guy who goes like this. We, if, like, nothing's going on.
Starting point is 00:18:43 No one's going out. There's really nothing happening. Chris is the guy who'll go like this. Great. Just one of the only nights that we have on this earth, we're just going to let it go to waste. We're going to do nothing. And it's, I'm telling you, it gets to you.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Oh, it sure does, you. It gets in here. It sure does. So I was able to just sit around and do nothing. And on Saturday night, I did a couple errands, did a couple things. I got home, had myself some dinner, and I just watched Vikings. And I fell asleep on the couch. And Marty got home and woke me up like a good roommate.
Starting point is 00:19:23 And he was like, do you want to go to bed? Yeah. I was in half dream state. When you know when you wake someone up and they're kind of like rambling, they're not really saying anything, my first memory of this was looking at Marty and talking to him. And in my head, hearing that what I was saying was gibberish.
Starting point is 00:19:49 So I like sat up further and I kind of went like, sorry. And then delivered to him exactly what I was. I wanted to say. And again, Marty's question was, hey, do you want to go to your bed? And I looked him dead in the eye and I remember saying this. And I went, do you want to savor the gods with me? And he was like, what? And I delivered it again and I still like wasn't out of the dream state. And he was like, oh, I'm going to go to bed, but I will savor the gods with you tomorrow. And I was like, sounds good, dude. And I then went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. And as I was finishing, brushing my teeth, I was like, oh, I, I've, I've lost my mind. Yeah, you got to go knock on
Starting point is 00:20:33 his door. Say, dude, my bad. Unbelievable stuff. So, clearly Vikings is, uh, is engaging television. Absolutely in my head, dude. Um, all right, we've got a lot of hockey talk to get into, a lot of stuff that has gone down. And, um, before we get into the big trade. Yep. You wanted to talk about some foreign nations stuff. Just really quickly. Um, Petrangelo, Alex Petrangelo looks like he's out for four nations. Team Canada loses a D-Man. There was talks when the team was being picked
Starting point is 00:21:10 that they almost named Dewey anyway, and if they lost anybody, it would be Dewey immediately. Do you think that's going to happen? No, I don't think it's definite. I tweeted yesterday, like number eight, Canada flag in the eyes, because I was like, Petrangelo is dropping out. Dewey is, to me, the obvious answer.
Starting point is 00:21:29 I know there's going to be a lot of butt hurt, angry Edmonton fans who are like, It's going to be. Edmundsard. Evan B. Stard is the obvious answer. To me, not having Drew Doughty on a Team Canada roster, if he's available, is absolutely moronic. And I think the people who select this roster know that as well. Now, I think the big thing is he hasn't played yet.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Right. I imagine, we can say this is breaking news. I would imagine Drew Doudoubush. he is suiting up within the next two games. So we'll see. But yeah, if it's, if it's me, I'm obviously picking him. He would have been the second defenseman named to the team as far as I'm concerned. But you got to get a game in, dude.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Like, we've got to see him skate. Yeah. So even just from an optics thing, like just being like, dude, and if you're the kings kind of, because you're like, I don't want him to tweak something there. And you're like, God damn it, dude. Yeah. But honestly, it kind of, I see it both ways. If I'm the Kings, there's part of me that's like, I'd get, get more reps in, dude.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Like, that would be great. But agree, that would be, that would suck. At the same time, though, like, he's coming back from a break, not a ligament. So I kind of, I'm like, the surgery went great. He looks awesome. I'm like, I'm not worried about it. But yeah, dude, like, let's be honest. Drew is still playing at an elite level.
Starting point is 00:22:48 He is, like, he's played for Team Canada. Like, it's the same things as, as, you know, like, Crosby and Marcy. It's like that is a guy that you want on this roster. So absolutely he is my pick. Agree. Yeah. And then Sweden, Willie Carlson, maybe out and Markstrom probably out. The funny thing about the Markstrom one, Dan, is I was like, because their goalie, tan, their goalie room is probably second best behind USA and like right there, frankly.
Starting point is 00:23:18 We're like, Jesus Christ, three sick goalies. Yeah. And back when Demi. was healthy. It felt like the U.S. had four guys where you're like, even if you lost one of these dudes, you have four elite options.
Starting point is 00:23:28 And I kind of felt that way about Sweden, just looking at the three they had. But if you lose Markstrom, and obviously the third goal doesn't have to play, you can just play Gus and Olmark. But like, if you lose Markstrom, I don't actually know who the third elite Swedish goalie is that you just wave in there.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Yeah. It was kind of like a little bit of a cliff fall off there. Yeah, because who is there? It's, it's Markstrom, Olmark, and Gus. And Gus. And Gus. Yeah, they're nasty.
Starting point is 00:23:56 But then you're like, you lose Markstrom and you're like, I think like Anton Forstberg's Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think you call Eddie Lack. Oh, dude, that's interesting. Now, that is interesting. I think you call Eddie Lack for vibes. Um, I think you got to do that. It doesn't have to play.
Starting point is 00:24:17 Vibes will be high. Or Luongo. Or Luongo. He's Canadian. Yeah, just, just saying it's Eddie. saying it's Eddie's boy. No, no. Or Hank.
Starting point is 00:24:27 Yeah. That would actually be safe. But Hank. I bet Hank can play. Me too, actually. But I don't know that Hank wants to sit there and not play. Whereas Eddie would be like, yeah. True.
Starting point is 00:24:37 Yeah. Like if you called up Hank out of retirement, Hank would be like this. I'm playing. He's like, hey, Gus, sit down. That's interesting. It's actually funny to me. Like, we've talked about like, are all these guys going to play? Or do you like just ride one guy?
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, I don't know. I don't know either. So, you know, it is one of the, you know, of this thing, but like now I do think it's curious. Like who, I probably feel like Markstrom would have been that starter, right? Maybe. I don't know. I actually think they're all playing great.
Starting point is 00:25:05 I would have said Gus, but you might be right. So now you think it's Gus over Elmark for sure. Yeah, but Olmark got so hot down the stretcher. So hot. He's coming back for an injury too, though. But yeah, no, it's got to be Gus's net now. But that's interesting. Yeah, I mean, we talked about who was it?
Starting point is 00:25:20 who do we feel like kind of got the shaft on Team Sweden? I can't remember, but it wasn't a goalie. It was a player. No, a player. I'm saying with Willie being out. I wonder who jumps in now. And Willie's not officially out, right? No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Just maybe. So it's a maybe. But yeah, that's an interesting one. but yeah I think we'll keep our eyes on that definitely the Canada one especially given that it's defense I just think all eyes are on Dowdy I think it looks good for him but I do think everyone's waiting for him to see if he plays a game see how he looks yeah but I would imagine if we see Dowdy
Starting point is 00:26:06 suit up you know they play tonight at night of recording they're playing the Red Wings I haven't heard anything yet but you know in these next three games. They're playing Florida on Wednesday. If he plays in one of those, everything looks good. I would not be surprised at y'all if he's named to the roster very, very soon. We got some breaking news. Yes, dude. Wow. Talking about goalies. Jesus. Breaking news, the Washington Capitals and Logan Thompson agreed to a six-year 5.85 mil A-AV deal. That is going to keep L.T. in Washington until the 2030s. That's my boy right there, dude. Not going anywhere. Good for him. Not going any. How nails has Logan Thompson been?
Starting point is 00:26:48 Dude, I'm so pumped for him. I know you are. That is your boy. There have been stories people have heard about Vegas, like why things didn't work out in Vegas if he was maybe unhappy there, this and that and the other. But he goes to Washington. He's been nothing but unbelievable for that team on this just rocket chip ride for the
Starting point is 00:27:06 capitals. Like everything has just gone well. All of the new players that the caps have gotten, PL, Jacob Chikrin, Logan Thompson, A lot of guys that people were like, oh, it's interesting. Like, Menjia Pani, honestly, to an extent. It's like, fuck. I wonder how they're going to play.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Everyone is playing so well. We've got some inside info from our boy, Osh, saying that this locker room is just as tight as humanly possible. There are people saying that maybe they're even tighter than the cup winning team locker room, which is unreal. So you've got this just insane season for Washington, and now LT is locked up. Here is my question for you, Chris. Look up LT's stats for me right now, because I'm going to look at.
Starting point is 00:27:45 look up Charlie Lindgren's stats at the same time. I am curious what Capps fans are thinking. So this season, they have gone, they're tandem, right? Like, they are full swing and old. Yeah, LTs played 27. Lindgren has played 23. Lindgren is 11, 9 and 2.2. He's got a 904, say, percentage, 2.51 goals against. LT's numbers are insane. 22, 2 and 3. Like, are you shitting me. So 925 and a 209. What's crazy, dude, is I think a lot of people talked about the caps. And, you know, we were shitting on them last year being like, you do not deserve between playoffs.
Starting point is 00:28:23 I stand by that. This year, they're insane. So many people were like, is Lindgren a starting goalie? Well, they went and got LT, and he is playing like a top five goalie in the NHL. Going into these playoffs, LT is your guy. For me. And I know Lindgren was such a fun story. And he remains a really fun story.
Starting point is 00:28:41 And that's awesome. And you need a guy like that in today's NHL, a part of the room. But are you high, dude? Like, LT till the fucking wheels come off. Yeah, it's got to be LT. So you look at Logan Thompson, kind of like Aiden Hill is one of these guys that's like,
Starting point is 00:28:59 that is a starting goalie in the NHL. You just got to find the right team. Looks like he's found the right team. He's nice and rested playing this tandem with Lindgren. The caps are buzzing. His numbers are insane. Are you looking at the. caps and going, they've got, a lot of people ask that question, right?
Starting point is 00:29:16 Like, if the caps do well, if they get in a playoffs, do they have a goalie that can win them a cup? Do you think that this is a goalie that can win them a cup? I felt like Logan Thompson was a goalie that Vegas thought could win them the cup. And a few things happened. Injuries, locker room vibe, you know, whatever. And none of that spoke to, sorry, none of that called into question. his ability. There was always ability to win Vegas a cup and it just, the fit wasn't there for a couple reasons and a few bad breaks. He's getting the right breaks now and the ability to win a
Starting point is 00:29:53 cup remains. So yes, 100%. I completely agree. I think it's like, I think this is such a such a surprise win for the camps. Like, Jesus Christ, man, this, I, we can't talk enough about this team. It felt like Washington and Pitt were in such similar lanes. They both missed the playoffs two years ago. Last year, Washington snuck in and people like, dude, they're like a little better than people thought. And I mean, this is one of the great retools you will ever fucking see. Insane. And the way Carbs is coaching this team, he's winning Jack Adams as far as I'm concerned. Again, I've said before, if Columbus makes the playoffs, I don't know. You don't have that conversation. But Carbs is just such a good coach. I think
Starting point is 00:30:41 that they love him there. I know that they love him there. And just seeing all of these new guys, like all of a sudden you got PL coming in, playing better than he was last year with the Kings, and he looks really comfortable there. Chickren is coming in. Like, he is the guy that's going to take over after Carlson.
Starting point is 00:30:58 And Ovi is still playing like he's playing. There's a chance. He's not going to do it, but he's on a 50-gold pace. Yeah. Like, there's a chance Osh is going to come back for these playoffs. But it's just like, holy shit, man. Like, this cap team could win the cup. It's insane.
Starting point is 00:31:10 All right. We've wasted, not wasted, but we've spent enough time before getting to the big news. We've got to talk about the blockbuster trade, probably the biggest blockbuster we've seen in what? Dude, one of the biggest ever. Ever? Yeah. I saw someone say it's the biggest mid-season trade since Thornton left Boston. I think that that is probably correct.
Starting point is 00:31:31 So the big news over the weekend, Friday. It's Friday night, dude. Yeah. It's Friday night. Relax. It's Friday. night. This fucking dip shit's on a plane. I'm hanging around. I'm getting ready to go head over to Hanano Cafe, grab a burger. And I get a text. Get a text from someone. Get a text from one of the
Starting point is 00:31:55 insiders. And it says something big is about to happen. And I was like, oh, really? And I had gotten a message earlier that said Taylor Hall's about to move. And I was like, all right. So I was ready. I was on the sticks. Taylor Hall goes to Carolina. And right before that, someone was like, dude, Colorado is about to do something insane. Yeah. And I immediately was like, moose. Yeah. Because we talked about it.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I posted the clip. Yep. We talked about it a month ago. We said, if there is even the slightest whiff that they can't bring him back, you have to trade him now. They do it. The trade. Miko Ranton, who is, by all accounts, a top five player in the NHL. in the last five years.
Starting point is 00:32:43 We'll get to all that. Just do the trade first. Miko Ranton, traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. Taylor Hall traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. Martin Natchez, Jack Drury, a 2025 second rounder, and a 2026 fourth rounder go to the Colorado Avalanche.
Starting point is 00:33:02 The Chicago Blackhawks get a third round pick their own, which, very important, is essentially a late second round pick because they are going to be a very, very low team in the league. And they take 50% of the final year of Rantanin's contract, which is a little over 4 million AAV. Holy hell. So a couple things on the trade itself. The, I love that you can wave in third teams to help get this stuff done these days.
Starting point is 00:33:34 I think it's awesome and just opens up the door for more stuff like this. Just a hilarious move for Chicago. You know what, dude? I'm glad you said that. I completely disagree. I said it yesterday on Hockey Talk. And I actually genuinely want you to react to this. And if you still think this way, throw it back in my face.
Starting point is 00:33:54 So many people shitting on Chicago here. So many people. I'm not shitting on them. It just is funny. Sorry, I'm not implying that you are. But so many people were shitting on Chicago. They were like, what the fuck is Davidson doing? What is Chicago doing?
Starting point is 00:34:06 What a joke they look so stupid? Blah, blah, blah, blah. Dude, Chicago? in my opinion is worse this year than they should be. And definitely than they thought they were going to be. Like they are a clown car again. And I think people thought, oh, you brought in all these veterans. They're actually going to be a relatively competitive team.
Starting point is 00:34:26 But Dar's going to take a huge jump up. I don't think he has done that. And I don't think the team has done that. They aren't doing shit. They're finishing bottom three in the league again. So, to me, I'm like, what is the issue with this move? Taylor Hall was getting health bombed this year. We were talking about him possibly getting traded two months ago.
Starting point is 00:34:47 I don't think he's necessarily happy in Chicago. And he's still a good veteran that can help a team on their middle six. Carolina is a perfect example. You weren't getting anything more than a fourth round pick for Taylor Hall. In my opinion? Absolutely not. Do you look at his stats? He's on pace for what?
Starting point is 00:35:08 Like 25 goals? He's 33 years old. old. He's on a $6 million cap hit deal. That's big for his output, in my opinion, and his age. Taylor Hall was getting you a fourth round pick. That is the brutal reality. And there were a couple people on Bruins Twitter who were like, if Taylor Hall is only getting you a third round pick, like, I'm not sure I'm interested in the fire sale. But I'm like, dude, Taylor Hall is a great player. He's an even better dude. But I just think what he's doing right now, his output is like, That's a fourth round pick, dude.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Fourth round pick, maybe a third. So you get a really high third round pick from him. And then people are like, why would they take on the cell? Who gives a fuck? It doesn't matter at all. It's literally expiring. All the people who are like, why would they ever take on 50%? Who gives a fuck? They have so much cap space.
Starting point is 00:35:59 And they got cap space from this. They got Taylor Hall six off the books and then took on four and change. Like, dude, everyone's shitting on Chicago. Like, I can't believe I'm defending Chicago. but I'm here to tell you, like, that was a good piece of business from Chicago. They got a very high third round pick their own back for nothing. Do you think losing Taylor Hall is going to destroy the Chicago Blackhawks? They were going to trade him anyway.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Yeah, they were going to trade them anyway. And now maybe they get an even better pick than they would have. Like, maybe this makes them drop a couple of points in the standings. And it's just like, dude, you got a guy. It looked like Taylor Hall wasn't really going to be a part of this, quote unquote, future. I don't think he ever was thought to be there. So you get Taylor Hall off your books, and you're now opening the door for some of these young guys to play for the second half of the season.
Starting point is 00:36:48 You got a good draft pick back for it. It's like, this is good business by Chicago. It's not amazing business. No, no, you're 100%. I think I thought they were going to trade Taylor Hall for a third, maybe a second at the deadline. Yeah. And this is that pick. This is a third that's technically a second.
Starting point is 00:37:06 All I meant was hilarious was it just looks so funny. Like you go, Taylor Hall, who we're trading anyway, you go, dude, you guys want to do a sick deal. Take Taylor Hall and we'll pay. And we'll pay for it to happen. And I hear that. I hear that. Like it's, you know. And I will say this, dude.
Starting point is 00:37:22 And we do the redrafts this summer. There are, there are steals to be had in the mid rounds. But they are, there's one. Like there's always like, oh, wow, look at this steel in the third round. And the entire rest of the third round and fourth round. And frankly, the second round most of the time is. bus. So it's like the NHL is very much becoming a first round. Dude, I will trade literally every second to fifth round pick the Boston Bruins have from now on. It literally, these are,
Starting point is 00:37:49 these are monopoly money. They don't matter at all. Yeah. You sprinkle them into convince teams that you're like, I sweeten the pot. Yeah. Thanks for your fourth round. And obviously you can go like, well, so-and-so, like go look at curl caprizo. Yep. But to your point, crapshoot, those are complete crapshoot. Scouts are so good these days. The exposure we have on all of these leagues is so good. So yeah, top, I would say top two and a half. I would go as far as three rounds are the only things that really mad. Yeah. And for me, it's too. I'm like, miss me with that. Okay, so here's a couple things I want to say to you, dude. That's the trait. Starting point is 00:41:49 The last two years, 71 points and 53 points. Yeah. Two points in his debut. Yep. For the a half. And like two years ago, breakout season. Had a down here last year, which is why he signed another bridge. And now look at this career year.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Going back four years from Moose, he has the fifth most points among NHL players in that span. More than Breadman, Pasta, Marner, Matthew Cichuk, Austin Matthews. Like, he has been extremely good for four plus years. The first bullet point I want to talk to you about is could the afts of Kep Moose. You just said this and you posted the clip of us being like, if you truly believe you cannot keep him, then you must trade him. Yeah. Clearly they truly believed they could not keep him. They did trade him.
Starting point is 00:42:32 So everything you said that we had said was correct, especially because, hey, we said, especially thank you. Especially because the, the let's keep them, because maybe we'll win the cup is too risky. It's hard to win it. You know, you can't just keep them, let them walk for free, right? And like, only do that if you're like this, this is the last year of our window. Yes. Like, fuck it.
Starting point is 00:42:49 I agree with everything I just said. Yeah. What I don't agree with, and I just, you will never convince me, but I still want to have this discussion, is that they couldn't get something done with most. Dude, so all of the comments being made by both Moose himself and his agents have been rattling me. To me, well, first of all, people say things. We saw this all summer long. Agents say things, GM say things that are not necessarily true.
Starting point is 00:43:18 I want everyone to know that right now. Like agents lie, GM's lie. Yeah. Coaches lie. Like people lie to the media. Even the wonderful Jerry lie. Even the wonderful Jerry lies, dude. Everybody lies.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Like, it is, it is just something that fans need to understand. Like, the amount of fucking times we see on Twitter. Like, dude, I'll call out a person that we love. Like, the Boston Bruins, Cam Neely, like, that fucking comment he made about the reasons in Switzerland. That was a fucking lie. Yep. And it's business, dude. Yes.
Starting point is 00:43:52 It's business. So, like, fans on Twitter, stop quoting the GMs and the agents. and acting like it's gospel. You don't know so much of it. We don't know so much of it is just bullshit to get business done. Yep. That said, it does look like these guys are shell-shocked. Nate, like, they lose to the Bruins.
Starting point is 00:44:15 And after the game, they were like, how do you feel about the game? And he was just like, I don't give a fuck about the game. I'm just like losing Miko is insane. Yep. And the way, I mean, I actually am curious what you think about this. If I were the hurricanes, the amount of times now, in a few days here where every time a microphone is put in front of rant in his face, all he's talking about is how sad he is.
Starting point is 00:44:33 I would a little bit be like, hey, dickhead. We just trade it for you. Shut the fuck up. Start talking about this team. So, and that's obviously hyperbole. This is the man. I'm not saying he's a dicket.
Starting point is 00:44:45 But it has been very weird to me how all of these comments are like, we are completely blindsided by this. We never thought this was even on the table. We thought that we were working on a deal. Part of me is calling bullshit on that. because I know for a fact that there was a deal almost in place earlier. Miko has said I was willing to take a discount. Dude, quote, I was willing to take a significant cut below my market value. That's why this was such a shock to me. Yes. So I'm not saying he's lying, but I am saying I have on pretty good authority
Starting point is 00:45:15 that there was a eight year 11.5 or 11.6 style deal on the table. If that's not a significant cut, like that's so much money still. So again, I trust. him, but I'm like, I wonder if to him that was like 12.5 was a significant. Because I think, and by the way, Dan, so, so eight years, 112 million, which is 14 AIV, which is what Leon has, was kind of, everyone was hearing like he was looking for that. Well, it was the second Leon signed. we were like, well, because that's the thing, dude. Before Leon, there were so many outlets, very trusted Colorado outlets being like, he is about to sign a eight year 11.5 style deal. And then Leon signed and then everything stopped.
Starting point is 00:45:57 And this is, that's, that's smart. That's how agents work. It's like, dude, get your money. And I just don't get, I know there's, there's some interlockroom politics. We're like, well, you can't get more than Nate. But I'm like, well, the timing fucking matters, dude. We were so along that. Like, Craig was having more than, Creachia got paid more than Bergeron.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Like, it's fucking the way the world works. And here's what I call bullshit on, Dan. The, there's this quote in this article that says, if he got the De Leon deal, that would have eclips the 12.6 million Aavvy value being paid to Aves team. mate Nathan McKinnon by a wide margin and left the club in an impossible spot with all world defense Mikhail McCar in need of his own extension by 2027. I call complete bullshit on that that you couldn't. The cap went up to 92.4 million at least according to Betman. Like that went up even higher than people were projecting. The Leafs were paying four guys over 10 million when
Starting point is 00:46:45 when no team in the league had even two guys. It is such horseshit that you couldn't pay Nate 12.6 Moose 14 and sign kale to whatever he deserves and still feel the team. You are a fucking lying if you don't believe you could do that. That's what fucking blew my mind about this, where they're like, we couldn't. What do you want us to do? What I'm like, I want you to pay your three best players, their market value, and then fill in a fucking team around them, you fucking idiot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Yeah, love that. It's, dude, be a gym. Like, you cannot let these people walk. Which brings you to the next point, which you were kind of already talking about. Let me read this comment to you. Well, yeah, I think obviously finding out last night, I didn't get a lot of sleep. There were a lot of emotions because it was 10 years in Colorado, you know, so it was a long time.
Starting point is 00:47:22 Maybe that's the hardest part. I think it happened too quickly. And today there was a game, so I had to focus and get ready for that. Maybe now with a couple days off, I'll have time to process it. Right now, I just want to focus on the future. It's behind us. The NHL is a raw business sometimes, you know, and things like this happened. It hasn't really hit me yet, but I think it will.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I was shocked yesterday. I was surprised for sure. But, you know, I don't want to get into details. It was unexpected. And I'm like, dude, and Nate's comment even said, I wish I could have talked to him one more time, you know, about like, well, here's the thing. I'm not surprised at all that, like, a trade happened. and shocked them.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Yeah. What I'll say is we heard confirmed reports that Carolina, and this is the stuff that I was hearing, like not to pump my own tires here, but like the other day, I tweeted a gif of a hurricane going because I was like, I got slipped information that a monster Carolina trade was going to happen in the next couple days. What we can say now was that was JT. Miller or Miko Ran. Yep. They've been kicking tires on both.
Starting point is 00:48:22 They found a deal and they fucking made it happen. I love that. Credit to the Carolina Hurricanes. Like, you're going all in. Love it. Want more teams to do it more often. I'm not surprised that Rantnan and Nate are like shocked because like we always talk about like remember when we talked about this I said the the avs brass and he's like go and talk to Nate and be like hey like what are you what are you what are you to ask you that? You don't think they should ask him about this? Because dude then Nate is like you know he would probably be like what the fuck absolutely. not and then then you have to make a decision of going against your de facto captain right now and that's not good like you have to it's a business dude like your players don't fucking matter at the end of the day when you make business decisions i that that's cutthroat but i think that's the way things work and also like what benefit do you get from talking to these guys and being like hey we're about to do this like no you got to just fucking rip the bandaid off i think yeah uh i i do think this is a bit on moose's agent like you guys are
Starting point is 00:49:25 Obviously talking all the time. Yeah. And if we've gotten to this point where things are not progressing, you have to be preparing your client who does not have a full no move. Like, dude, you might get traded. Just be very aware of that. And I'm sure he was. I'm sure he's aware that that was possible.
Starting point is 00:49:40 But it's interesting how shocked everyone is because I will say we haven't seen this in a long time, maybe ever. I was very prepared for Miko Rantonan it to be traded and then to sign back with Colorado this summer. Yeah. That feels insane when you think about it. Like if you were going to do that, why wouldn't you just stay and try to win a cup with this team right now?
Starting point is 00:50:06 Yep. I understand like that's, it feels unrealistic. But I was like, that might happen. Yeah. Like I'm very ready for that to still possibly happen. Oh, still. I thought you were going to say it's completely right now. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:17 And now, yeah, now I am like, well, if you're saying all this shit, about the team, it feels ridiculous to me that that could be possible. And you feel it's so insurmountable that you couldn't possibly dream up an extension that would work for the abs that you traded him. And I'm like, then he can't come back. The next point you kind of hit, which was Carolina was circling a move. Like they were like, we are adding elite talent. It looked like if the Canucks, the abs were the way higher risk, higher reward, because you're like he's not stined. And they pull the trigger. So now I want to get into this with you, Dan.
Starting point is 00:50:51 let's break down kind of the team, like how this impacted the teams. And I have on this doc, you can see the lines. I'm not going to read everything out for everybody, but go on daily face off our boys over there and look at the Caroline Hurricanes lines. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:04 And the guys that they have out, you know, are not coming back. Like they're done for the year or they're not, their timetables are unclear. It's not like they're like, oh, and we have these couple, I only bring this up because the abs do. We don't have,
Starting point is 00:51:16 the canes have no horses on IR that are coming. What you're looking at is what you get. so you lose Jack Drury as in that Middlesick Center and you just swap out NACIS for Miko Randen. We read their stats at the top I would say
Starting point is 00:51:30 Also reading Rantan stats and there are some Colorado fans in our DMs who were like honestly like Moose wasn't really playing hard recently I'm like look at his number He's a hundred point guy dude like it's automatic
Starting point is 00:51:41 The amount of times fans take for granted to what they have it's unbelievable Bruins fans are doing it with pasta right now they're like it's fucking nuts So you got fan everybody knows the good player
Starting point is 00:51:50 on the hurricanes, but I'm just going to tell you, and again, these line changes all the time, but right now on the first line is Jackson Blake, on the right wing, on the left wing of the second line is Eric Robinson, and who else did I flag? Oh, even Cockney-Emi and Martinuk, who are not unknowns, but I'm just saying, Blake, 21-year-old rookie, 50 games, 15, 15, 16. Yeah. Robinson, 50 games, 11, 13, 24, has a career high of 27. Kotkenyemi, 50 games, 10, 14, 24, has a career high of 43. Martinook, 50 games 9, 15, 24, career high of 34. The goalies, Pioter, who I love, 31 games, 903, 248, and Freddie, who's back.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Sick, only six games, though. 912, 2.15. For me, Dan, you upgraded NACIS objectively. Even though he's having a career, you upgraded NACIS. Yes. I always felt like this Carolina Hurricanes team, it wasn't... like, oh, we're just missing one major superstar. And you kind of said that like months and months ago.
Starting point is 00:52:53 I said, what would they need other than winning cup? And you were like an elite superstar. Maybe Ajo develops into that, whatever. For me, I was always like, oh, it's the goaltending and depth, I guess. So I don't know that this was enough. Like you're, because they're presumably done. They're like, boom, we made our big move. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:14 Do you mean if you ever look up their cap? Because, yeah. Here are the things for me. I think Carolina maintains, like we talked about, they lost Pesci, and they made quick work. $400,000. Yeah. They made quick work in figuring out their deal. I think they've got one of the best defenses in the league.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Yeah, yeah, hell yeah. Slaven and Burns, Orlov and Chadfield, Ghost and Walker. Phenomenal. I love that decoy. Your D is set. Don't you dare make a move? Don't even look at it. Don't you dare make a move.
Starting point is 00:53:45 To me, yeah. And again, this is just what the line comment. most look like, but right now the line combos are Rantin and Aho and Blake, Taylor Hall, Kockinyemi, and Svech, Martin Nuk Stahl and Jarvie, Robinson, Yaska, and Roslovich. You've got maybe
Starting point is 00:54:03 the best third-line center in the NHL in your install. I think that second-line center is tough. Same. I think Kockneyemi is a good player. That is not a Stanley Cup winning second-line center, in my opinion. And even Halsey, who we love. Yep. I'm like that. You know what? I'm fine. He's great in the playoffs, too.
Starting point is 00:54:20 got Svetch, like Hall, that's a great second line. Great in place of the piece. What the flying fuck? I don't give a shit what their chemistry is. Get Seth Jarvis on the first. Oh, Dan, it's crazy. You now have Rantan too. Like, get Seth Jarvis playing with Aho and Rantin.
Starting point is 00:54:35 And that is the most obvious thing in the entire world to me. But yeah, like, I think we heard when this trade broke, the second piece of Drury was the question. Yeah. Is it Drury or is it Cochaniemi? Yeah. And it ended up being Drury. I think Kockenemy is on the trade block year.
Starting point is 00:54:52 Like you have to be thinking about maybe moving him, maybe a pick, maybe a prospect, and trying to upgrade that second line center. Because there are guys out there who could maybe work. I don't know what Kockneyemi's cap hit is. But like you could find a deal, a guy on a, you know, an older guy on an expiring deal. 4-8-2. 4-8-2, right? Yeah, you could actually.
Starting point is 00:55:12 You could definitely find someone there. And then I'm with you, dude. A lot of it is, I mean, like, we did say like fast carrier and yost like those are good players who are out with injury yeah but dude like i look at that fourth line and the bottom six even middle six like those are good players yep but in yost in 19 games had two goals no assists two points carrier and 39 games had four five and nine i'm just talking depth yeah the bottom six depth um i'm with you a lot of it is injury but Piotr and Freddie, I've said a million times.
Starting point is 00:55:51 We were talking about with Olmark. I was like, Carolina could use a goalie. Yeah. And I just still maintain, dude, like, if they were to do it, if they were to go and make a trade for, tell me what Freddie's cap hit is. I will. Because if they were to go and make a trade and they were to get a guy like the one that keeps coming up all the time, say in John Gibson,
Starting point is 00:56:19 are you telling me... Freddy 3.4. Okay, interesting. So, like, Gibber is 6.4. Yep. And he's got term. So he's going to cost money. Yep.
Starting point is 00:56:28 But that's just one. I'm talking about. Like, I just think... Dude, Freddy's been good. Like, in the games he's played this year, he's been really good. But it's just... And those long, grueling playoff runs,
Starting point is 00:56:39 I'm like, I don't know. I just don't know if you have. I mean, like, dude, we talked about, you know, I think they both were playing, but, like, they should have beat the Rangers last year. They were so much better than Rangers. And just like that collapse in game six was just like,
Starting point is 00:56:54 you've got to be shitting. Yes. Adobe Acrobat Studio, your new foundation. Use PDF spaces to generate a presentation. Grab your docs, your permits, your moves. AI levels of your pitch gets it in a groove. Choose a tablet with your timeless cool. Come on now.
Starting point is 00:57:11 Let's flex those two. Drive design, deliver, make it sing. AI builds the deck. so you can build that thing. Do that, do that, do that. Learn more at adobe.com slash do that with Acrobat. So here's where I net out, Dan, because everything I'm seeing,
Starting point is 00:57:30 I don't know what you've been seeing online, is like, and one of the bullet points we're about to get to is just Colorado done, so to keep that in mind. But everything I'm seeing is like, Hurricane's grade, like, B plus, and I'm getting so many texts, like, the Met is, the Met runs through Raleigh now, like, holy fuck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:44 And again, they got better, I think. Objectively, the Hurricane got better, but I'm like, did they get, like, people are acting like, oh, dude, the MET is over. They're catching the caps.
Starting point is 00:57:55 They're the one seed. And, you know, see you in the fucking finals. And I'm like, dude, I don't know. Does this team beat Washington
Starting point is 00:58:03 in the second round? Dude, I don't know. Like, I'll put my chips on the table right here. So many people freaking out about this trade. In my opinion,
Starting point is 00:58:15 in my opinion, Colorado won this trade and it's frankly not that. And everything on line says not that. It's not that close. It's not that close. So let's get into Colorado here. And let's just say this, dude, look at last year. So first of all, oh, the other thing I was going to say is I'm taking Washington over them still. Yep.
Starting point is 00:58:37 Like, absolutely. I'm taking Washington over them still. Don't get me wrong. Ranton is generational. Yes, generation. But don't forget that Carolina traded for Gensel last year and Gensel walked. So you just got Randon and what if he walks? Yep.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Dude, go to Colorado. Okay, so again, listed right now. First line is Druin McKinnon-McKinnon-Nachis, Parsonin, middle stat, Lechanan, our boy, Ross Colton, Jack, Drew, Miles Wood. Okay, those are the top three lines. You've got the Choo-Choo-Train who's week to week coming back any day now, really. It was already skating. Skating on this past weekend, I believe, maybe even two weekends ago. He had, in 21 games this year, 11 goals, 6 assists, 17 points.
Starting point is 00:59:21 He had a career. For people who don't know what Chris is saying that, Nishushche. Yeah. So he's there. He's for sure coming. How fucking good is Lekinan, by the way? What an amazing, amazing deal that was. So, like, it's such a good player for that.
Starting point is 00:59:34 So, Nishuskin is coming back. Yeah. Landy, who knows? And frankly, at this point, I'm kind of like. My bet is he's not. Yeah. And he's got, I forget what it is. He's got seven mill on a lot.
Starting point is 00:59:46 long-term I are right now. At this point, I'm just like, leave them there then and bring them back for the playoffs. Like, do the game of the system. It's so great.
Starting point is 00:59:53 Like they've got Landy, Killington, Nishushushkin, Miles Wood, and Pullman all on all. Like, good God. You know what I mean? So, dude,
Starting point is 01:00:00 if you bring up, like take Parsinan off the top six, right? And so whatever combination you want. So it's like, let's say it's Druren, McKinnon,
Starting point is 01:00:09 Natchis, Nishushushkin, middle stat, Leckin, Ross Colt, and Jack Drewry, Mileswood. That top,
Starting point is 01:00:16 I'm like, oh, that's actually a really solid... It's incredible. Really solid top nine forwards. You did the big move from McKenzie Blackwood, who has been fucking unreal. Unreal. 15. For the aves, not this whole season, but for the aves, 15 games 925-204.
Starting point is 01:00:32 We'll be leading the league. Yeah. I'm like, Jesus Christ. So in middle stat as that 2C, right? Because we're beacon cockanemi at the 2C. Yeah. Let's look at middle stat at the 2C. in 50 games this year, 9, 21, and 30.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Could you improve that? Absolutely. But that's not horrible, right? Yeah, it's not good enough, though. Agreed. Like, let's be harsh here. Yep, it's not good enough. And the afts have four mil in cap space.
Starting point is 01:00:59 And what is middle stats cap hit? Good question. Even before they do anything, if these two teams played in the finals, like these two exact rosters. Yeah. Who do you like? Colorado.
Starting point is 01:01:14 I think I do too. That's what's insane. And I'm not even saying... But here's the thing. Like we said, dude. Miko Ranton has been on the Colorado Avalanche for 10 years. He's a generational talent, absolutely. 575 for Casey.
Starting point is 01:01:30 Dude, you know what? 575 plus four covers? I do. 8.7. Just saying. Miko Rantan is a generational talent. I want that very, very clear. I hate when people, people did it with Gensel, remember?
Starting point is 01:01:51 They were like, well, let's see what he does without a sit. He's doing just fine. Miko Ranton is going to be elite with the Carolina Hurricanes. He's going to be elite with the team, whether it be Carolina or someone else after that. I think Martin Natchez is an incredible hockey player. Me too. And I am very excited to watch what Martin Natchez does playing with Nathan McKinnon and Kail Makar. And keep in mind, another reason why I think Colorado one,
Starting point is 01:02:18 this trade, Martin Natchez is having a career year, a hundred point pace season, and he is on a $6.5 million deal this year and next year. Yeah, it's not as long as people are saying, though, I've seen online, like, and they got term on it, and I'm like, it's a full another year. Yep, it's a full another year. Yep. That is very valuable. I think I'm so excited to see what he does. And for a team that has rostered over 52 players this year because of injury, that's fucking insane. Yeah. Getting Jack Drury is a part of it. who is a really solid bottom six forward is very big for this team. Yeah, very big for this team. All right, it's time to talk to you about our insane new partnership with skims. And listen,
Starting point is 01:03:02 do you think that I had me wearing skims men's underwear on my bingo card this year? No, I did not. But thank goodness it appeared. When I, when this partnership came across the table, my girlfriend said, you guys have a skims deal. You better get me some product. And I said, well, Listen, babe, they're making skims men's product now, and it's for me, and I'm loving every second of it. We had our veil tournament, and the skims product that we grabbed arrived just in time. I get to the locker room. I'm getting ready for the game.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Drive up the joggers down. The whole boys in the locker room, see the skims? And everyone goes, are those skims, boxers? And I said, you better believe it. I got the five-inch cotton, and I got the five-inch stretch. And my favorite parts about these is the stretch is I could almost work out with them. You know when you get shorts that have the inside lining that's just tight enough to work out, but also loose enough to hang out in? That is exactly what the five inch stretch does for me.
Starting point is 01:03:56 I can work out. I can relax. It's comfortable everywhere. And then the cotton, I was afraid, because I've kind of become a brief sky and I was afraid the cotton was going to be a little too baggy, kind of like the rolls up my leg when I'm pulling on my jeans type thing. No, no, no, no, my friend. Not at all. It's tight enough in all the right places, kind of around my quad, but then loose enough in the right places. you know, which keeps it very comfortable the whole time, extremely breathable, extremely soft,
Starting point is 01:04:23 smooth. You can't go wrong with either pair. And they've got different lengths too. I kind of experimented with some longer ones down my legs, some shorter ones uptight. Everything you want, they've got you covered. I'm so excited that Skims is in the men's game now because I'm telling you this is going to be the underwear I am wearing permanently from now on. And you should get on board because you were going to love it. So if you go to skims.com, you can find all the men's products there. And after you buy it, by the way, dapp us up in the survey because you can go click podcast and then in the drop down, click empty netters. Let them know we sent you. They've got an unbelievable Valentine's Day sale coming up where they've got the men stuff,
Starting point is 01:04:57 but also the women's stuff. You're looking for a gift as well. So Skims has got you covered across the board. Let them know we sent you and go check it out. And I've said it on Twitter and I will say it here again on the podcast. Colorado is not done. Agree. So, and and you can, you guys can throw that, I'm happy to take that thrown in my face if nothing happens. I am telling you, you know, you could go, well, of course, every team is making calls. This team is aggressively making calls. I'm telling you that right now, people listen to me. Frank Sarajevolli teased, this was not the biggest trade. The Rantanin Trade was not the biggest trade that was being bubbled up that day. I can confirm that is true. Yep. And I'm telling you they are trying to do
Starting point is 01:05:41 something and they're trying to do something big. I am. And you look at that $4 million. I'm not done. You look at that $4 million. And, dude, to me, middle stat for Byram was, that was a crazy trade. I was like, oh, shit, they moved on from Byram. I don't think that trade means that they're like this. Middle stat is here for the future.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Middle stat is available. But he's been good, though. Like, I don't even think. Middle stat? Yeah. We just said he's not been good enough. And I'm telling you, he is available. He's young.
Starting point is 01:06:07 He's got a palatable cap hit. And that plus the four is an opportunity to bring in someone very, very significant that makes this team maybe like a cup favorite. Yeah. So this team's not done. I love what they did and I love what they have the availability to still do. And it's very exciting. Agree, man.
Starting point is 01:06:30 I am such a advocate of don't be the team that traded the best player in the trade. I don't give a fuck with the packages. I just don't like it. And that's what the aves did here. They traded the way the best player in this whole. ordeal. So normally I am a passionate you lost this train. I don't give a shit what you
Starting point is 01:06:49 got back. But just doing that breakdown with you, Dan. And not to mention, bro, I'm with you on Moose is going to be just fine without Nate, but it's lunacy to think that Nate isn't elevating his wing. Of course. Martin Natchez is already having a career year. Now he's on
Starting point is 01:07:05 Nate's McKinnon's wing. Think about the level he can even take Natchez. You know, I know he's already having career, but I'm like, that might even go fucking higher dude now that he's playing with Nate. Exactly. So you get him, you get Drury in that center position. I think they're in a fucking, I think they improved.
Starting point is 01:07:21 I think they improved. I was going to say more than the canes. That's not true because you got moose. But I just think the abs also got better because like you lose this generational moose. You get NACIS who's hopefully trending that way with Nate plus Jack Drury. I'm like, I think, yeah, I love that take. I think where I stand as of now is I don't think they got better.
Starting point is 01:07:42 I think they stayed the same but have better opportunity. To get way better. Yes. Which is why I'm like they won. I'm with you. And the Keynes, again, those picks are irrelevant to me. Everyone that's like, it's a big haul.
Starting point is 01:07:54 I'm like, the middle round picks are fucking junk. So I'm like, they didn't give up that much. But I don't think that they are as cup ready as the internet seems to believe. Yeah. Last bullet point, Dan. Because the second to last one was going to be, are the abs done? We just talked about it. Neither of us think they are.
Starting point is 01:08:11 In fact, if the abs don't make another big move, I don't mean random depth stuff. If the abs don't make another big move, they will feel as though they failed. And sometimes it just doesn't get done. 100%. But they are trying actively to make another big move. So my last bullet point,
Starting point is 01:08:27 does Moose resign in Carolina? Does a winning a cup help? Or does it hurt? Because he's like, I won the cup. I'm go get my bags somewhere. I don't give a shit. I think winning a cup absolutely helps. And yeah, man,
Starting point is 01:08:40 I will say this is unfair of me to say, given that I just said, I think Washington is better than them. Dude, if you do not go to the Stanley Cup, if you're the Carolina Hurricanes, you're the Buffalo Bills. And lose him. If you don't go to the cup and lose him, that's a big one. Definitely, yes. To me, it's just like we talked about it last year. I'm like, at what point is Rod Brindamore on the hot seat? The answer is never. And I understand that. But like, if this team just like doesn't. If they don't get to the Eastern Conference
Starting point is 01:09:13 finals, I'm like failure of a season. If they don't get to the cup, it's a failure. That's absolutely how you have to look at this. Which one is the line, Dan? Because you just lost Drury who they liked. Not that Drury's lighting up the world, but you lost Drury who they liked. You lost NACIS who you loved. But you got Miko Rand. No, but no, but I'm saying, if you lose NACIS, you lose Drury and Moose doesn't resign,
Starting point is 01:09:32 what had to have happened this year to have made it worth it? Obviously, if you win a cup, it was worth it. So if you lose in the finals, still not worth it? I think it was worth it if you get to the final. But if you lose in the Eastern Conference finals, I think you go, fuck. And then if he signed somewhere else. Genuinely, dude, I don't mean to scare Carolina fans.
Starting point is 01:09:50 I think it's less than 50% chance that he resigns there. And honestly, dude, if I'm being harsh, I would go as low as 30. Hearing everything that he is saying here, like, obviously he's in shock. Yeah, right. It's a little dramatic. But, like, obviously, he is. Obviously, he's like, Jesus Christ. I think it's a less than 30% chance that he resigns with this team.
Starting point is 01:10:11 Yep. There's also a chance, Dan, that he is, he has a Stockholm syndrome situation with Nate. So now he's only used to the- Yeah, maybe he gets to Carolina. It's just really fun. He's like, whoa. So right now he's feeling Stockholm syndrome where he's like, I need my captor back. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:26 But then once he learns how to live again, he'll go, oh, dude, I'll resign for six milk. Yeah, this is fucking sick. Sweet, dude. I was going to take a break there. I'll take a huge break here. But, well, you know what's interesting, man? We, similar to Gensel, we always talk about how there's no good UFAs hit the market anymore. It just doesn't happen.
Starting point is 01:10:49 But we got it with Gensel. That was great. And then, you know, obviously he's much older, but like it was cool to see Stamco's available. This was a situation where we were like, uh, Moose is just going to resign in Colorado. Now he's a UFA dude. Oh, yeah. Like this is like a, oh, baby. Literally any team is on the table here.
Starting point is 01:11:07 And, dude, if I'm, especially with how much the cap sounds like it's going up, if I were teams in the league, I would be throwing, day one, I would be throwing the fucking brink struck at this guy and being like, come here, dude, come to us. Oh my God. So, yeah, I am not comfortable if I'm Carolina at all. Can't be at all. All right. Let's get into a beer league hotline. I recently broke my arm in a beer league game. I'm in a high division.
Starting point is 01:11:35 It wasn't a cheap shot, just an unlucky play. Got tangled with another guy and we went into the boards awkwardly. Recovery is six to eight weeks and the screw in my arm was not cheap. I mean this when I say I quite literally can't afford to have another injury like this. So was this a career ender or do I try to come back and play a softer game? It's a tragedy. You're done. Oh, shit.
Starting point is 01:11:57 You're done. Really, dude. Dude, there comes a time in everyone's life where something happens in pickup sports where you go, that's that for me. Yeah. And listen, dude, we love beer league more than anyone. We take it too seriously. Yep.
Starting point is 01:12:15 We care about it too much. And the game is just, it's so wonderful, dude. But you're done to an extent. The game doesn't love you back. You're done to an extent. Like, he says he's in a high division. Yeah. Maybe you bump down.
Starting point is 01:12:30 But dude, this is real. Like I, I honestly think fluke shit can happen in the lower divisions. Oh, certainly. You're playing guys who aren't that great of skaters. And it's just always going to be in your head. I'll tell you right now, like I just said, I take the shit too seriously. A couple of years ago, I was playing pickup soccer. Yeah. And I got absolutely cheap shot. I was there. I got elbowed in the face. No, you weren't. We weren't at this one.
Starting point is 01:12:57 I got elbowed in the face and fell flat on my back and got a concussion. And I didn't play pickup soccer for like a year because I was just like, these guys take it too seriously. If I'm going to get cheap shot and get a conkey, I'm not coming back to this shit. Now, I did come back eventually because I'm an idiot. I did. I did go back.
Starting point is 01:13:16 Because I'm an idiot. What I'm saying is the fear in your head when you come back after an injury like that of just like, for the love of God, if that happens again. And dude, head stuff for me, I was like, no fucking way. I'm not getting another concussion. A broken arm, dude, snap in a wing. That's awful. and I hear the guy on, dude, team's not paying for it anymore.
Starting point is 01:13:41 I bet that run him $3,500. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Screw. That's surgery, dog. Do you, so you're telling me, if you broke your arm, you're quitting. Liar. I would definitely take a break for a while. 100%.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Yeah, the eight weeks. Oh, the fucking boat. No, no, no. I'm talking at least six months. I'd be like, I don't know, dude. That's not true. I'm going to break your arm just to prove that you are full of shit, dude. I think he might be done, dude.
Starting point is 01:14:12 I don't mean to be this guy, but I'm telling you, it's a mental block. He's going to be thinking about it, dude. He's not done. All this is going to do is make him miss it more, and then you've got to come back. You don't play a soft game because that's how you get hurt. That's how you start thinking about it. You go play your game. I might even go a league up, and I might even play harder.
Starting point is 01:14:29 Because that's how you get back on the horse. This guy comes back. He breaks his arm again. You have to pay for it. That's a deal. It's just the only way to do this. Screw two is on CP. Man, a significant injury in beer league is a disaster.
Starting point is 01:14:45 Correct. Absolute disaster. Like, you tear an ACL, you break an ankle, you break an arm, you lose teeth. Happened to us. Happened to a guy we were playing against a few months ago. Got a high stick. I think four. I think four of his front teeth.
Starting point is 01:15:01 Gone. Gone. And, dude, you got to go to work the next day. imagine being in your 30s and showing up to your shitty job in your stupid shirt and tie and you've got your sleeve rolled up because you have a cast on. Yeah. As a 30-something year old man. And people go, what the fuck did you do?
Starting point is 01:15:18 You're not supposed to break bones after 25. Dude, you know what I was like. And that guy shows up, he goes, well, you sign my cast? Yeah. I broke it in beer league. I signed it. Yeah, sure. I would too.
Starting point is 01:15:30 Yeah. But I wouldn't feel good about it. You just, these, these types of injuries from Beer League, it's just a game-ruining situation. Yeah. Brutal. Hate to see it. Get back in there. I got the next one.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Next one on me. Get back in there. I'll let Chris win this one. Get back in there, but I'm telling you, I understand. I understand if you're, if you, if you can't take it both financially and mentally. I understand. We're going to do some odds matching from friends at bed MGM. We're matching these five players with their.
Starting point is 01:16:02 are odds to win MVP. Miko Rantan, Mitchell Marner, Karel Kaprizov, Jack Hughes, and Jack Eichol. Really good names. What odds we got? We've got plus 12,500, plus 6,000, plus 10,000, plus 4,500, plus 4,000. Interesting, Dan. Interesting, interesting, interesting. Okay. Okay. Very interesting. I think if I'm giving out MVP, yeah, and these are the guys on my list, I think I'm giving MVP to Ikes. Me too. Like, he's having the, he's having a literal, the best year of his career. Yes. I think the Oilers just passed them, which is fucking insane. But I think that Vegas is a top team in the league. Yep. And Ikel's the best player on that team. He's been the best player on that team since he got there. And he's having the best year of his career. Yep. all agree.
Starting point is 01:17:06 So I think I really like... So we want him at 4,000? I think so. Interesting. Is there a chance that it's Carill at 4,000? Because he was almost the favorite. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There is a chance.
Starting point is 01:17:24 There is a chance. I wonder, though. I wonder... The injury is a thing. It matters. We might be boosting Jack, though, too. Fair, but he's extremely... He's one of the most productive people on that list.
Starting point is 01:17:38 I guess like moose is pretty high. Oh, dude, you are, you are sleeping on one Mitchell Marner. He's doing very well as well. I know. I like Jack. Okay. We're going to go Jack, and then I like Carrel. Carill at 45.
Starting point is 01:17:54 Yeah, I like Jack 4,000. I like krill at 4,500. I think I like, I think I go, Eichl, this is me. Yep. Let me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I'm going, Eichel, Krill, Hughes, Moose, Marner. So Hughes at 6,000?
Starting point is 01:18:20 Yeah. Moose. I think I'm boosting Hughes, but I'm just like, I'm just thinking about Vegas. Like, what is it? So you want Marner the lowest, even though you said he was. You were just talking about production, and I'm just like, let's not rule him out from that standpoint, because he is, okay, he is having a phenomenal year. I like it. They're Hughes, Moose, I might switch.
Starting point is 01:18:40 Well, no, let's try it. Okay, ready? Yeah. Okay, so we're going Jack Eichel, 4,000. Wait, no. We got to do, I think we got to go Moose way higher. Okay, so switch Moose and Jack. Yeah, I think maybe we go Eichel, Eichl, Krill, Moose, Hughes, Marner. Okay, so we're going, Jack Eichel, 4,000, Kirill Caprizoff, 4,500, Miko Rantan, 6,000, Jack Hughes 10,000, Mitch Marner, 12,500.
Starting point is 01:19:16 You got one correct. Which one is it? Jack Hughes. Oh, hell yeah, I did. Dude, oh my God. We're so bad at this. Okay, so do we go... So we got Jack at 10,000.
Starting point is 01:19:30 Yep. So the favorite isn't Jack Hughes. Do we want to move Krill up to 4,000? I would almost move... Or do you want to move Moose up? Let's go Moose. Then I call. then Krill or no because Marner
Starting point is 01:19:45 Krill can't be 4,500 because we got that one wrong. Exactly, that's what I'm saying. So let's do Eichl 4,500. Yep. Moose. 4,000. No, because then Mitch, like Mitch can't be last. We could be.
Starting point is 01:20:01 Well, no, we just put Mitch last and it was wrong. Oh yeah, so we'd go Mitch at 6,000. Yeah, and Krill at 22. Oh, yeah, that kind of feels crazy. But maybe, though, because he got hurt. Maybe he got hurt. Maybe he got hurt. That's what I'm thinking.
Starting point is 01:20:12 I actually like that, yeah. They're going, he missed too many games. I like that a lot. It's a missed game thing. All right. Okay, ready? We're going to go Miko Rant and 4,000. Jack Eichl, 4,500.
Starting point is 01:20:19 We got Jack Hughes locked at 10,000. Mitch Marner at 6,000. Crowe-cbris off at 12,500. You got another one correct, and it was Moose. Oh, Camus is the leader. Okay. The disrespect to Jack Eichols. Yeah, what the fuck?
Starting point is 01:20:36 Absolute clown show. Well, he could be 6,000. All right. Let's move him there. Well, I think we actually, I think we know what it is now, right? Like, because we had Krill at 45 and 12,500. So he's got to be 6,000. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:20:53 And we had Mitch at 12. So it's Mitch Marner in second place at 4,500. And Jack Eichel is last place. What? Fucking Vegas, dude. In, in your own backyard, Vegas. In your own backyard, you're having career year Jack Eichel, who's carrying the team.
Starting point is 01:21:11 Literally most valuable player to your team, you're going to say he is last on this list. So, final answer, wags. Moose 4,000, Mitch Marner, 4,500, krill Caprizov, 6,000, Jack Hughes, 10,000, Jack Eichl, 12,500. Correct. Fucking unbelievable, dude. Unbelievable. Boo!
Starting point is 01:21:32 God damn it. Boo the odds makers. That is dog water. I hate that. Me too. I can't even. I don't even like this game. I never want to talk about that again.
Starting point is 01:21:41 Don't even like this game anymore. Get me out of this game and take me away. Do another segment. Okay, Wags, we're going into a blind ranking. Are you ready, Dan? Because we've got to pull out of this. Yeah, we got to pull up. Pull up.
Starting point is 01:21:55 We are blind ranking goal scoring ability this season. Wags hit us. Juice. One. He is firing, dude. My guy, dude. He is going to score 40. He is going to score 40.
Starting point is 01:22:10 and I knew he would and I bet on it and he is going to score 40. And that's awesome. He's got 24, I think, already, Dan. God. He's up there, dude, he's up there. He's way up there, he's way up there. He's way up there. Give me a two. Could he be a two?
Starting point is 01:22:26 There's obviously guys that are pumping in goals, but... Is it lame to say... Yes. Three. Give me a two. Give me a two. Adrian Kempi. I like it.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Juice at two. Two. Come on. Carrou. Started off slow, remember? Yeah. Not points-wise. Started off slow, started pumping in goals, then got hurt.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Yep. His goals per game is probably quite good. It's probably quite good. I think he, what does he have? 23, I think. Does he really? Yeah, I think he does. And he only does have 30 games or something.
Starting point is 01:23:00 Krill is, in 37 games, he got 23 goals. That's pretty good. Because I think Juice probably only has like 24 goals. Yeah, I can't go. lower than three. We might have to go one, but we're already in a situation. Three. Best ability is availability. Yeah, that's why I think it might be four, Dan. Come on. 23 and 37? But dude, what the hell's the matter of it? Yeah, you're right. Three. Three. Austin Matthews. Four. Happy to say that. Look up, I don't even think we should be allowed to look this up, but look up his, Dan.
Starting point is 01:23:32 Austin Matthews. What is Krill? 23 and 37. 23 and 37. I think Matthews is a similar situation, because he hasn't been playing And he's been scoring a lot. He has been scoring a lot. He's got 20 and 35. Similar. Okay. So you know what? I can live with this.
Starting point is 01:23:46 I'm happy with this. So do we go five to build in a, to build in a safe room? Ooh. To build in a safe room. Yeah. Austin Matthews. Generational goal score. Some would say the best goal score alive.
Starting point is 01:23:58 Five. Five. Willie Nielander. Good. And I think he has an argument for one. Yeah. Willie, oh man,
Starting point is 01:24:09 he's so good. He's such a fucking chief. He has an argument for one. Let's think about this. You either slot him in at four
Starting point is 01:24:17 and you pray because there's guys that have been pumping. I feel as though again this season there's only one guy that I like more. Agreed, agree.
Starting point is 01:24:29 Oh, more than him at all. There's a couple guys I have over him, I think. Yeah, there are a couple guys I have over him. But I don't know
Starting point is 01:24:38 if they're coming. What's stupid is like I'm looking at this as just like, well, literally the stats say these, but like it's, I'm talking about like your goal scoring. Yeah, exactly. Ability. If I need a goal, am I thought of it. Am I taking juice and am I taking krill over Willie? Yes. Okay, four. Do it. Wow, we killed the Leafs. Four. Horrible. Breed of point. Yeah. Okay. You should have been won, Dan. Juice should have been won. You should have been won. All these guys have more. goals than him, but I get what you're saying. Points a good one, actually.
Starting point is 01:25:14 Point is a good one. He's a great goal. Points a good one. This is a weird result where I'm not sure how I feel about this list. Not sure how I feel about it. Oh my God. Let us know. All these guys score goals. Let us know. All these guys score goals.
Starting point is 01:25:29 Don't know how we did on that one. That's great. Braden Point is one number one. I like it. That's great. All right. That is it for us today at the Empty Netters podcast. Massive, massive trade going on in the NHL.
