Welcome to the Empty Netters podcast.
Can you believe what this has become?
There was a full 48 hours where I felt like I was like literally Superman.
Jumbo loves playing Fortnite, so he gets on the sticks.
Did TR show you the sauna cycle, or was that all year?
No, no, I invented that.
Almost a year now that I haven't taken a body check.
That's kind of nice.
So we are back.
We are horned up, and we are going deep.
Finish tonight with some chicken fingers and a few guineasas and ran into you guys.
That's where this pod came to life.
Ice is ready and we're back with a new episode of the empty netters podcast brought to you by BetMGM.
I'm your host, Dan Powers.
I've got Dr. Watkins sitting over here ready to rock.
Tulu Tulae.
Doing his thing and we got CP over here.
Maybe ready to rock, but definitely doing his thing.
As always.
Sir, would you say you're ready to rock?
I have maybe never been more.
Wow. Isn't that crazy? That is, I mean, I wouldn't say it's crazy. I'd say it's awesome.
We used to call this. Oh, I burned my hand. What? I burned my hand. I think I think, I'm, listen,
I'm sorry for you, but I think you got to say you burned your finger. Because I see a Band-Aid
on your finger. Um, yeah, I burned my finger, but I burned- Did you do it on a George Foreman grill?
I burned multiple fingers and thumb, just this was the worst of it right here. Um, I did it on a pan.
It was a pan-pam situation. Sure.
and there were two pans on the stove top.
Yeah.
And I turned one on and put a little oil in it, put some veggies in it, going like this.
And the other, the handle of the other pan was like kind of in my way.
So I saw it like this to spin it over like a clock.
And the handle was hot.
But the handle had been over the, like the heat.
The burner, yeah.
It was a stainless steel pan?
So it was a steel hand.
No, it was cast iron.
No, because that I feel like, oh no, cast iron.
Oh, yeah, I beat the shit out of my hands on those.
Maybe a handle was steel.
It was like silver.
Maybe the handle was.
It was like a black pan silver handle.
Yeah.
So yeah, dude, I grabbed it.
And it was one of those things like if you burn your hand on the oven, for example,
you know you're in the oven.
Like you graze something by accident, but you're kind of moving gently anyway, right?
Like you're like, there's hot shit around here.
this was one of those grab where you could hit something in the oven and it doesn't burn you in you're like oh whoa whoa you're ready you're ready for pain this was one of those grab something i am 1,000 percent positive is cold you know like it was no advice grip on and then it takes that full like ah
yeah it's like Jesus fuck but dude there was a stretch i knew it wasn't bad bad right away i was like i immediately run under the water and i was like holy hell yeah and then um i are our sink water's just so not that cold
So I just bit a bowl and put a bunch of ice and I was just like leaving my hand in there.
And there was a stretch hour plus later where if I took my hand out, it just immediately was just searing pain.
Yeah, man, burns hurt.
I was like, dude, tonight is going to blow.
Here's a fun question real quick.
Would you rather be burned alive or drown?
Oh, dude, drowning is like my biggest fear, but burning alive would fucking.
I take neither.
Yeah.
Is that an option?
If you can pick neither, definitely.
with you there. Oh, dude. I think you have to stay drowning because burning would hurt so badly,
but I do, I did, maybe I just read this in fantasy books, but I think you, your body like goes
into a state of shock numbness pretty quick with the burn. Like, you're horrible. I don't know,
dude. I think, I mean, if you suffocate from the smoke first, oh yeah, I'd do that. Yeah, just
like, pass out. Yeah. Like, you start, like, your feet are on fire and you just bend over you.
Yeah.
Let me get that.
Oh, fuck.
If I was drowning, gosh, like, let's say you were in the dark.
I'm so sorry to make it this dark.
No, but it's an important question.
If I were drowning and it was clear, it's not like I'm swimming up and I'm like, get there, get there.
If I'm way deep.
Yeah, yeah.
And I'm going down.
I'm looking around and I'm like, oh, it's over.
I think I would probably go and just be like, get it over with you.
I think that hurts too.
I think that like...
Yeah, actually, maybe that you feel.
Whereas, like, if you, like, hold your breath as long as possible, you might make yourself, like, pass out.
And you're like...
But I don't think you're...
I actually don't think your brain lets you do that.
Yeah.
Like, you can't hold your breath until you pass out.
Yeah, no, it goes...
You, like, knee jerk suck in.
Yeah.
And then you do that fucking, like, shake thing.
Yeah. And I'm like, dude, fuck that, dude.
Suck ass.
Hey, let's talk about happy stuff.
Yeah.
Okay.
Really quickly, this is not a long segment, but there's, and honestly, when we are prepping
these episodes, I'm like, anything going on in the NHL and in the summer, often there isn't,
but then we arrive in the morning, I just do a quick check to be like, did anything happen
while I was driving in? And the, I saw the, well, and while I did that this morning, I saw
the Will and Mac Rocky TikTok. And, you know, those are my boys. Those are our boys.
I'm, no, that they bailed on us last weekend. I'm upset with the both of them.
Yeah, true. They're in the doghouse.
But those are our, normally our boys that are today in the doghouse.
Yes.
But I love, I love the whole new generation of NHL being online and whatever.
And I love them, you know, having fun, dude, goofing.
I love that.
I love that.
I love that.
Have fun.
All, and oh, maybe you can splice it in.
They did the Rocky run.
That's all, that's all that happened.
They did put it in the dock.
They did, they ran up the steps.
They got their sweatsuits on.
They did the, or not really, but they had some outfits on the Rocky run.
And they split screen it.
All I have to say is this.
You know how, and Ev, maybe you can speak to this as the actor in the building.
But I think it was in Michael Caine.
Markle Cain, Spichael Cain.
But he said, don't ever dead sprint in a take.
Like if your character is supposed to dead sprint, don't.
Because they're going to make it look fine, even if you're not dead sprinting,
and then you're going to be so tired.
Like when you try to give your lines or when they show you to do it again, you're going to be sucking wind.
I've always kind of remembered that being like, yeah, I guess you shouldn't be running.
Tell that to Tom Cruise.
Yeah, exactly.
Who goes about that?
Fuck that.
Yeah.
So I'm watching Will & Mac here.
Tom Cruise to say that's a bitch-ass take.
I'm watching Will & Mac here.
And I saw them before I saw the split screen.
And I was like, they aren't going that fast.
But then I was like, well, maybe they listened to Sir Michael Cain.
Or maybe Sly wasn't going to that fast.
So then I watched the split screen.
And Sly is firing.
Wheeling.
And also, Mac, you and your father, you ran those hills every day.
Like that's what that is, that is how you are as good as you are.
Your dad made you sprint up those hills every fucking day.
even when you didn't want to.
Of all people who couldn't high knee his way up the steps of Philadelphia.
So, Mac, listen, dude, I'm going to need you to move the fucking feet if this is what
you want me to get excited about.
Do you think fans in San Jose are a little worried watching that video going,
he better get himself in shape for the season.
What's even doing all summer?
I bet it's a matter of them being like, I'm not going to gas myself for a TikTok.
Thank you very much.
Also, like, what if you go too hard, you tweak a knee?
And then you're like, wow, now I'm in a like a situation where I completely
injured myself doing some dumb bullshit.
Okay, fair. But at the
very least, what I would like is, when they get to the top
and they're doing this. Yeah.
Again, they're a little, the punches
are a little slow. Slies,
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, I need more. You're just chilling.
Yeah, I need more. If you're going to split screen it,
I need a better. You're doing like a
director's critique on their TikTok.
Yeah, exactly. Dan and I used to recreate movies and every
fucking frame was perfect. So
that is for damn sure. But
we are lunatics. Correct.
So, you know, that might have something. So I love
you guys and that was really fun. Thank you. In conclusion, I really liked it. Yeah. And again,
I love to see the fellas having fun. Absolutely. Our hockey segment today is going to be two games
I want to play with you too. Yeah, let's do it. Cool? Yeah. Listen, there's no news. Yeah,
there's no news so all we can do is get creative and have fun in the hockey space with awesome
hockey people. So we're going to play a hockey game that I love that we used to play all the time and
I'm going to bring back. And then also, I found a top 10 list that I was like, oh, whoa, that's cool. And I'm
going to quiz you guys on that too.
Awesome.
Evan, the first one,
man, you must have done these.
I can't remember, though.
The first one is a game we call
What's the Connection.
Yeah, I've seen you play a couple of them.
Okay, yeah.
But I'm very bad at this, so.
Well, this is 10 trivia questions.
Evan, we can do this together.
Come on.
All right.
The first nine have answers,
and the 10th question is,
what is the connection of those
nine answers?
So one time we did it,
and it was all characters
from Seinfeld.
Right.
The answers.
So you're like,
oh, should I get it?
So you might be able to solve 10
before we even get to 10, which then can help you solve the ones you don't have yet.
Right.
Understood?
Yes.
To the listeners at home, incoming, 10 trivia questions, play along with Dan and Evan, write them down,
see if you can get the connection faster than they can, or if they can even get it, you
Bums.
Jesus.
And I think I've-
Let's shove this up as who, Bev.
I think I made this easy enough for you, but there's a couple hard ones.
There's a couple, and maybe you have to come back to.
Yeah, dude.
We'll see.
We'll see.
All right.
Question number one.
Yep.
former Blackberry CEO Jim, how do you say his name, Balsilli?
I think so.
Balsili, what a movie.
Yeah, that movie.
I didn't see that one.
It's awesome, Evan, you should watch it.
Oh, it's so good.
Yeah.
I'm going to say, what did you say?
I think it's balsalli.
Balsali.
So we're going to say balsali and Jim, I'm sorry if that's wrong.
Former Blackberry C.
I'm not. You're kind of a dickhead.
Former Blackberry CEO Jim Dickhead Balsley.
Try.
Jeez.
tried to relocate multiple NHL teams to Hamilton, Ontario.
It would have been the first NHL team in Hamilton since the 1920-1925 Hamilton Blanks.
Okay.
Back then, that would have made them another member of the trivia question where you share a mascot with another professional team.
Yes.
Paring up with this squad in Detroit.
It is, you really made that easy.
I had it right off the bat, but we got it.
Is it Tiger?
Yep, that's what we're going to say.
That's what you think it is.
because I cannot confirm.
I cannot confirm nor deny that.
Okay.
Question number two.
The Boston Bruins usually go by this nickname,
confusing fans into thinking their mascot isn't a bear but a blank.
Okay.
Bees?
Yep, easy.
Bees.
My college mascot were the SCAD bees.
That's gas.
Black and yellow colors.
We were the bees.
Black and yellow.
But we were in art school, so we didn't have like,
our sports were like Harry Potter Quidditch and stuff.
And like, frog.
It's actually a good sport to be a bee in.
Yeah, great.
Yeah, you're buzzing around.
You know what?
I really like it.
Like, what, TCU is the horned frogs.
Yeah.
It's not just the frogs.
Like, I think honeybee would be a sick mask.
That's true, yeah.
Good point, Dan.
Bumblebee.
Let's make it more specific.
Bumblebee is a little soft.
I don't know.
No offense, bumblebees.
Bumblebees are way scarier.
But what?
Then a honeybee can't even sting you.
Well, bumblebees and honeybees are our friends.
Bumblebees have that fat dump.
They got their dragon wagons.
Yeah, man.
Fat ass.
It's fat ass.
And that's why I like them.
That's why I'd be a good mascot.
The chicks, the girls' teams?
They would be, that would be, it would be good if you were a cheerleader and you had a dumper
and you were like, I'm a bumblebee.
Oh, the boys.
The boys are down there fucking, the boy cheerleaders.
Have you seen a male cheerleaders ass, dude?
They're like hockey players.
They have fat cakes.
It's amazing.
Lift with your legs.
Yes.
All right.
Okay.
Question number three.
Yep.
In hockey, this one you will get for sure.
This one's easy.
In hockey.
If you make a perfect pass, you blank it tape to tape.
I'm going to say snap.
I love snap on a pass tape to tape.
Are you good with that, Evan?
Yeah, yeah.
I'll defer to you.
You're more of the expert.
I was also going to say wire, but that might be more of a shot thing.
That's a good one too.
But yeah, I think wire is a shot.
Yeah.
We also think we don't need to lock them in, yeah?
Yeah, yeah, that's fine.
Okay, ready?
Question number four.
When the NHL announced the idea for the way,
Winter Classic.
It wasn't actually the temperature that was worrying anyone.
It was actually goalies complaining this would be distracting, often wearing eye black to help the issue.
Yep.
Got it.
The light of the moon.
Yes, I was going to say, that pesky moonlight.
Yeah.
Question number five.
There are currently 10.
I already know the connection.
This is awesome.
There are currently 10 NHL teams without one of these, including the dead.
Ducks and the Blackhawks.
Captain.
Yeah, that has to make sense.
Yeah.
Question six.
With the second coolest helmet
in college hockey
to match their iconic football helmet,
this team has one of the smaller
but most famous mascots
in college athletics.
What is it?
Say it again?
With the second coolest helmet
in college hockey to match
their iconic football helmet,
this team has one of the smaller
but most famous mascots
in all of college hockey.
college athletics. What is it?
Oh, little lepracon man, little lepracon man.
Oh.
Got to get your lucky charms.
Yeah, that's Notre Dame.
Yes, the Notre Dame Golden Domers.
Question number seven.
Charlie McVeigh played for the Blackhawks and the New York Americans from 1926 to 1935 and was given
this nickname for his blazing speed and his uncanny ability to jump over opponent's
sticks.
Charlie Blank McVeigh
Damn
Froggy
To leap
Maybe Frogger
We'll come back to it
Question number eight
The Washington Capitals team
Blank has the easiest job at the franchise
Considering Ovi orders takeout from Mama Lucia's before every game
Chef
I would imagine it's chef yes
Got to be.
Question number nine.
The Blank Coop is the legendary skate sharpening shop and informal museum at Shattuck St. Mary's run by Steve Blank Erickson.
Considering he sharpened Crosby, Taze, and Parise skates, it's not surprising that this coop has a little bit more bite than the traditional coop.
Coop deville?
Traditional coop.
The blank coop.
The blank coop.
Feels like chicken coop makes sense.
He said bite, so yeah
Yeah
Okay, which ones do you feel confident about
A lot of them I feel pretty confident about
There's only a couple that were maybe stumped on
I feel like
Frog one I don't know
We're saying
We're saying
The
The
The
The
The skate sharpening coop has more bite than a traditional coop
Yes
Okay
So then I feel like chicken coop could be
Correct.
And this is truly the skatecharmament shop at Shattuck St. Mary's.
It is called the blank coop.
You're named after Steve Blank Erickson.
I feel like it would be, I mean, is Steve's name Steve Chicken Erickson?
No.
Oh, do you mean his nickname?
That's his nickname.
They call him Steve Blank-Chicken.
And that blank is the same as the blank coop.
Yeah.
Okay, then it's got to be chicken.
That seems like a cool nickname.
I mean, maybe it's rooster, though.
Oh, yeah.
But do...
Do roosters have a coop?
I'm not familiar with a rooster coop, but they do hang out in the chicken coop.
Henhouse, there's henhouses.
Well, let me, all right, so I feel great about tigers.
I feel great about bees.
I feel great about snap.
I feel great about sun.
I feel great about captain.
I feel great about leprechaun.
Yep.
I feel unsure about frog or chef and chicken.
Okay.
I think I know exactly what this connection is.
Are you thinking cereal mascots?
Yes, I was going to say.
Tony the Tiger.
I'm thinking serial mascots.
Yeah, this is actually really great.
So I think, let's go through this.
I think we've got Tony the Tiger.
Yep.
Bees.
Bees.
The Cheerios.
Honeynut Cheerios is a bee, right?
Yep.
What the fuck's that guy's name?
He's got a name.
Snap is Snap crackle and pop.
Yep, one of the three.
Sun, I think we're going raisin brand.
That's raisin brand.
That's raisin brand.
Captain Crunch, my guy.
Lepricon.
on Lucky Charms. Now I think Frogger or frog works because the Apple Smacks Frog. Yeah, was it
Honey Smacks? Honey Smacks? Yeah, honey smacks, apple smacks. That's a frog. Now, chef, I'm lost on.
Can we get that question one more time? Yep. The Washington Capitals Team Blank has the easiest job at the
franchise considering Ovi orders takeout from Mama Lucia's before every game. It's
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Chef. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is a chef. He's a chef.
Good job.
Yeah, man.
I wouldn't have known that.
And then rooster or chicken.
But I think it's a rooster.
It's like corn flakes is like a big rooster.
Yeah.
So I'm going to go.
Or a chicken.
We're not, I'm not, I'm not, 100 on that one.
I think he's a rooster.
Some kind of foul.
I think, I think he's a rooster.
We're going to lock in our connection is cereal mascots.
Yep.
And we are going to lock in Tiger.
B's, Snap, Sun, Captain Lepricon, Frog, Chef, and Rooster.
Let me give you one question and one more time.
Oh, shit, okay.
And I think you can, and I also want to say on the record, your connection is absolutely correct.
Yeah.
Great job, boys.
It's fun.
It's a good one.
And I think there's a chance your answers are right anyway.
Like, there's one question that you don't have the answer I expect, but I think you may have
backdoored your way into.
Interesting.
Yeah. Question number seven. Okay. Ah. Frog. And you missed one piece of it. Okay. Charlie McVeigh played for the Blackhawks and the New York Americans from 1926 to 1935 and was given this nickname for his blazing speed and his uncanny ability to jump over opponent sticks.
Oh. What is fast and can jump? A frog. Kangaroo?
Our frog's fast? Yeah, dude. Did you ever try to catch frog in a pond?
Well, I was thinking more of the jumping, but yeah.
And think about the connection.
Well, the Apple Smacks Frog.
I know.
That's why I said you might have backdored your way.
But Charlie's nickname was not Charlie Frogger.
It wasn't Charlie Frogger.
It wasn't Charlie Froggy.
Maybe what are fast?
Like, cheetah?
Cheetahs are fast.
Yeah.
Roadrunners are fast.
Can they jump?
No.
I don't think kangaroos are super fast.
Don't?
Chris, don't.
Now I'm just thinking a serial mascot.
Well, that's good.
I think that'll help us here.
Charlie Blank McVeigh, never heard of this clown.
Dude, me neither.
And there was a guy whose last name was the answer to.
And he was also in old.
And I almost used him.
But this guy being universally called this was so funny to me when I was on his Wikipedia.
Like they were like, we only called him this.
He must have been so bad.
Is it Charlie Frosted Wheat?
Like, you're trying to think like what?
Charlie chocolate chip cookie, crisp.
Oh, well, yeah, the cop.
No, he's not a criminal.
Yeah. Cookie thieves.
Jesus.
Unbelievable snipe by you, Evan, too.
Wendell is the show.
Oh, I got it.
I got it.
I got it.
It's got to be a rabbit.
Oh, yeah, tricks are for kids.
And rabbits jump.
Rabbits jump.
They're all so quick.
So we're going to change frog to rabbit and go with the tricks rabbit.
So Charlie Rabbit.
NickVe.
Ping!
Gotta be the most famous
serial mascot there is, maybe.
The tricks, I mean, I think
Tony probably cucks him.
Maybe Tony, maybe Tony.
But, I mean, the tricks rabbit is way.
Also, you know that the guy who did Tony
the Tiger's voice sang the song
You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch?
I didn't know that.
Is that true? I didn't know that, but it makes
perfect sense when I think about those voices.
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch,
and he's really deep voice.
A C-C crocodile.
That's also going, they're great.
Exactly.
They're great.
Wow.
Yeah.
And you know what his name is?
Tony.
Thule Ravencroft.
Why in the fucking world do you know this?
I have no idea, dude.
Thule Ravencroft.
Look it up, dude.
Look up.
Thule Ravencroft.
Please check my work.
Thule Ravencroft.
If I'm right, I'm going to poop my pants.
Wow, dude, you should see this guy.
He looks like a fucking Dracula.
He's thorough.
Yeah, it's thorough.
I was close.
I mean, I count that.
I count that.
He's also in the jungle book.
Dude, he's Balloo.
Yeah.
No way, bro.
Wow, he has an incredible career.
Yeah, I mean, he's long since dead, I think.
Oh, yeah, oh yeah.
Yep, he's Tony the Tiger.
Tony the Tiger from 1953 to 2005.
Thorough Ravencroft is dead as shit.
What a big.
This guy fucking, he was, lived to 05.
He only gave up Tony when he died at 91.
This guy probably was rich as fuck, dude.
He's a voice in literally everything.
Yeah, there you go.
Holy shit.
He's from Nebraska.
That's incredible.
I mean, this guy.
catalog of work is insane.
He's one of the pirates in Peter Pan?
Gas. Unbelievable.
Yeah, there you go.
He was a mouse in Cinderella.
He was the card painter in Alice in Wonderland.
A lot of Disney stuff.
Oh, yeah, he's in Lady and the Tramp.
I wonder what the fuck name Thurall is.
100 Montelamations.
Mary Poppins.
He's a hog.
I used to know when I was a kid,
we had a family friend.
His first name was Hurl,
which is an interesting first name.
Hurl is crazy.
He rubs me out is there.
I'm just looking at.
So many of these and it says like some, you know, movie, voice, uncredited.
And I'm like, why?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's in it.
Right, right, right.
Well, sometimes those guys were under contract and then, like, they wouldn't get a specific
credit.
They would just come in for like 40 minutes and do a voice.
And they're like, all right, you're done.
And then like, that is dog shit.
They just don't keep good records.
Oh, he's also Jeffrey the giraffe for Toys R Us.
Oh, wow.
I didn't know Jeffrey talked.
That's incredible.
Do you remember when Toys R Us Jeffrey dollars.
Remember when that was insane.
It was like Shrewt Bucks.
Remember when Toys R Us closed and they put up that sign of Jeffrey, like, waving.
And it said, like, I guess everyone's all grown up.
The decision for Toys R Us to shame us is such a good move.
Yeah.
Like Toys R Us goes out of business and they go, it's your fault.
And then they made the great move of being like, you know, we're going to come back, but only in the back of a Macy's.
Yeah, yeah.
Which are such a booming business.
Like, guys.
Dude, I guess everyone has grown up
There's no more Toys R Us kids
I used to fucking love
Going to Toys R Us today
I was like, all right, we're gonna go Toys R Us today
I was like, I am so stoked
It's, I mean they truly, they're shaming us
Yeah
Says I guess everyone has grown up
There's no toys or us kids
There's no more toys or us kids
What the fuck dude?
Fuck!
Why did you have to
Why'd you have to make this about us?
Do you remember when you were a kid
And you'd get toys
and it would come with like a little,
like a little booklet of the other toys you could get.
Yeah,
like starting lineup,
Batman toys.
Oh yeah.
Dude.
I mean,
Chris told that story.
I lived for that.
Where we used to,
like our uncle used to bring us to Toys or Us.
And then the first day Chris was like,
can we go to Dix?
But it was called MVP sports.
Yeah.
But like,
that did happen.
Yeah.
I grew up one day and I was like,
I would rather get a new pericles.
A griffy shirt.
Yep.
Yeah.
That happens.
It's tough,
I guess we all grown up.
We grown up.
My next game for you guys that I saw,
I was a top 10 list.
It's in this doc, so don't look.
I'm going to unblank it.
So I can see it.
I'm not going to look.
And this actually blew my mind.
My hands are up here.
Only 10 people ever have finished an NHL season with over 400 shots on goal.
And some of them have done it multiple times, but only 10 people ever.
And I want to see, I was going to give you guys three strikes, but it's kind of hard.
So I just want to see if you can get it at all.
Yeah, let's, I mean, this has got to be, we'll start with Evachkin.
Ovechkin, Alex Evichkin, correct.
He's done it three times.
So is that three of our 10?
No, no, no, there's 10 people.
He has a 425, a 446, and a second highest ever, 528.
Holy shit.
Only two people have ever gone over five.
Okay, let's go Wayne.
Wayne, O.
Has to be.
Incorrect.
Wow.
He's a fish.
Wait, so, can I ask you a question?
That is crazy.
That can't be true.
The fact that Wayne has like a 99 goal season.
Why would he shoot if wasn't going in, you dumb bitch?
That is cruel.
That's true because when you say a shot on goal, that means it didn't go in, right?
Yeah.
But goals count too.
A goal counts a shot on goal.
That is also one of your shots.
That's why I'm thinking goal scorers.
Right.
If you're scoring 50 plus goals in the league, you probably have shot off.
Yeah.
And I'll tell you, everyone on this list is a prolific goal score.
Yeah.
And one of the guys, there was, I should find it again.
But one of them has like a really high goal total that season, which is sick because that means he was also efficient.
Yeah.
But some of the other ones, I'm like,
Damn, he's a lot of shots.
Can I just say Rocket Richard?
Is he on that?
Great guess, incorrect.
Wow.
All right, maybe you stay away from the old olds.
What about Yager?
Yager felt like a good guess.
Yager, Dan.
He's done it once, and he's the lowest on the list, 403.
Wow.
Okay.
No-est.
Who's scoring gold?
Oh, so long, no, yeah.
How many of these guys are current?
Current only other than Ovi.
Yeah, sorry, there are two more currents.
Two more currents.
Okay.
But to your point in, no one is older than the, there are two guys from the 70s, but you will know them.
Okay.
And then there's like an 80s and then there's like a 90s, 2000s.
Yeah.
Can I get a Mike Bossy?
No, also great guess, but he, because he scores 60 goals every season.
I know.
It was easy.
It was easy for him.
Too easy.
All right.
What about mess?
Nope.
Okay.
Fuck.
Jesus.
Stamco's.
Oh, no.
But God, there's Stamcoast-like guys on here.
Like, that's a good trend.
Right.
And who'd you say before, mess?
Bossy.
Oh, yeah.
No, okay.
All right, but we got two current.
Let's get the currents.
This would be mind-blowing to me.
No, I was going to say pasta, but I don't think there's any way it's pasta.
So I'm not guessing pasta.
How do you feel about Nate dog?
He doesn't feel like that much of a shooter to me, but at the same time, he's got multiple 50-goal seasons.
And I feel like sometimes Nate goes nuclear.
and he's just fucking ripping the pocket.
Yeah, I'm fine with that.
Let's go Nate Dog.
Nate Dog, 405.
There we go.
He's done it one time.
Very good.
Wow, okay.
So from the bottom up, it's Yager 403, Nate 405.
Yeah.
And then we have two 407s.
Okay.
And we've got one more current.
And one of the 407s is a current.
One of the 407s is a current.
Is one of these guys a former teammate of mine?
No.
Okay.
I didn't think so.
It's not Nikita, right?
I can't imagine so.
No.
Okay, who are a prolific, ooh, maybe caner?
Nope.
Okay.
There's one more current.
There's one more current, and he's not very old.
As in like, you know, he's not like this aging.
I mean, is it Connor?
No.
No.
I'm going to check.
what his highest is, because I was wondering that too.
Yeah, I was like, there's no way. It's Connor.
Okay, not very old.
A prolific goal score in the NHL.
Connor had a 352 once.
Yeah.
It's the only time he was even remotely close.
I mean, is it pasta?
It is pasta.
Oh, man.
I'm like, who else is a prolific goal score?
You almost took yourself out of that.
It is pasta 407.
Holy shit.
Okay, there you go.
Okay, so your currents are done.
Your, there's one defenseman.
Whoa.
Or, Bobby Orr.
Bobby Orr, 413.
Got to be.
Yep.
And then it's like, how many else do we have?
You have one, two, three, you have five more.
You've gotten five of ten.
Jesus Christ.
One is two are like, think great shots, like some of the best shots in NHL history.
One is a like prolific goals, prolific, prolific goal score.
and one is like a stamcoasty, flashy goal score.
And then one is pretty hard, but I'll give you that one last because you're not good.
You know he is, but I'm just shocked.
He's on this list.
Okay.
So not Wayne, not mess.
Mike Madano.
I'm going to get, oh, I love Mike Medano.
Let's guess Mike Madonna.
Incorrect, but I'm pretty sure the guy won a cup with Madonna.
Brett Hull.
Brett Hull.
There we go.
4-08.
I was ready to guess Brett Hull.
Can I get a
Phil Esposito?
Phil Esposito has done it
thrice.
Damn.
Yeah.
He just,
he scored so many goals
and he said 70s earlier
so I was like,
411, 426
and an NHL record 550.
Espo's won.
Oh yeah.
In the year he scored 76.
He shot 550 times.
Okay, so we've added
Hull and Espo.
So we have three more.
So you have Espo, Ovi,
and then the third highest,
not counting like Espo and Ovi being over, you don't have.
Okay.
The fourth highest you don't have.
Then, or Brett Hull, pasta, tied with pasta, you don't have Nate Doggager.
Shit, okay.
So we have, but we have three more.
You're missing.
Or four more.
One, two.
No, three more, I think.
Three more.
Yeah.
Is Pavel Burray on there.
Ooh.
Yes.
Wow.
Pavel Burry tied with pasta 407.
That was like the Stamco.
one. I was like, oh yeah, that would be good.
So you're missing incredible shot and goal score.
And then the other one is, I'm trying to think of a good hand here.
Incredible player, but never a, like, I don't think he's a Hall of Famer.
And right in the bubble.
He probably should be in my book, but he's right in the bubble.
And never, like, the best player in the league, but was the face of a team for a time.
Like there was a face, there was a guy or everyone.
When you think of this one team,
is this guy like a winner?
Did he win cups and stuff?
He never won a cup.
Face of a franchise never won't.
It's not Jeremy Ronek, is it?
No.
That is a very good guess, though.
Like, that exact comp of like,
everyone thinks Ronick's sick.
Is he, he never won a cup?
He couldn't get in the...
Oh, he's not a Hall of Hamry, you're right?
No, no, no, but he is.
He just got in, though.
Like, that, the Ronick career, Ev is a great...
Right, okay.
Yeah, it's a great start.
Face of a franchise.
guys. And then the other guy, can I get an error for this other guy with a great shot?
Let me just make sure I give you the right years.
Yeah, fair.
I feel like with those great hints, I have a guess for the next guy, but it feels this guy's also 70s.
I mean, like also 60s, honestly, 60s 70s.
Oh, shit, okay.
It feels insane to me that this person would have this many shots.
The guess you're about to me.
Yes.
The face of a franchise who has never won a cup and is not in the Hall of Fame.
I feel like it's one person.
Or not one person, but is it Paul Korea?
It is Paul Korea.
What?
429 shots.
One time, I imagine.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Man, the guy was fucking spraying.
That is unbelievable.
Insane, dude.
I never would have got that.
Holy shit.
Good hints, good hints, good hints.
60s 70s.
Hmm.
Let me see.
career high
58 goals
but went over 54 times
oh no sorry career high
77 goals
Jesus
and that was in the 70s
went over 50 multiple times
oh
Bobby Hall
yes both holes
they taught one thing in that family
shoot the fucking biscuit
Bobby Hall did it twice
408 to tie his son
and 414
Let me look at this. Espo, Ovi, Korea. I can't believe Korea is that high. Bobby Hull, Bradthal, Bobby Orr, Pasta, Beret, Nate Dog, and Yager. I love it that Nate dogs. Me too. Is that all of them? That's it. Wow. Snap it around, Nate? I wonder if we'll see, like, I guess Nate and pasta could do it, but I'm curious if anyone else could get on that list. Actually, let me look at this. I think we should get Tage on that list.
Yeah, Dan. Like, who led the league?
last year in shots. Let's see. And I also want to see who's, who's been close. So OV, OV has a
398 and a 395. So he's, he could come again. Is it, it's got to be McKinnon right now.
The pasta has, so Pasta also is a 382. Matthews has a 369. I could see him. Oh, yeah,
Austin. I could see him getting there. That's the year he scored 69 goals. So we do need more
of that. Nice. Um, any other actives. OV, Nate, Nate. Ooh, interesting. 357, which isn't that close,
but 357, Brady Kachuk.
Wow, Brady?
Brady.
Brady makes a bit at it.
I'm going to, you know what?
Brady.
I'm going to need more goals from you.
Yep.
Wow, Brent Burns, 353 in 2015, 2016.
What was last year?
What was the shots later last year?
I think it was McKinnon at 350.
That's what I'm seeing here on hockey reference.
Sick.
Nate shoots the puck.
Nate's on here a lot, dude.
He's got like a 365 or 365.
Nate is an all-time player.
Yeah.
Hey, that was fun.
Crazy.
list. I was very surprised to see the list, so I wanted to ask you guys. Yeah. All right, let's take a
quick ad break and then jump on back in. Bed MGM is always making things more fun. I love playing
around in that app and you will too because they are turning up the excitement with more ways to
win. You can score in any sport parlay boost token every Thursday this summer, every single
week. I know you're like, well, not next week, certainly. And I'm like, no, seriously, next week,
it's still there every Thursday. And then you elevate your next bet. It is so simple. You add a
parlay wager to your bet slip from any game that you want. Anything that's intriguing to you,
bang, put a parley on there. Then you just activate the sport parley, any sport parley boost token.
If your wager hits, you enjoy extra winnings thanks to your boost token in unrestricted bonus
dollars. That sounds pretty sick, doesn't it? If you haven't signed up for BetMGM yet, use that
promo code netters. That's N-E-T-T-E-R-S. And when you sign up, you get up to $1,500 in a new player
offer on your first wager. So you make that first wager, you make it a parlay, use the boost token,
you get your new player offer, bonus code netters.
Oh my God, bet MGM, make it legendary.
We've been talking a lot of movies.
We're talking Spider-Man.
We're talking Odyssey.
Ev just saw Odyssey.
Very exciting.
Loved it.
Loved it.
It might be my favorite Nolan movie.
Wow, okay.
Fuck yeah.
Is it really?
It might be.
I don't know.
I need more time with it.
Yeah, you got to sit with it.
I still love Dark Night and Inception and the prestige.
I think, yeah, give yourself some time and don't be a prisoner of the moment.
You're right.
I also think a big thing for me.
me was, you know, you don't need to go to the theater again like me, it's psychopath.
But see it again.
Yeah.
And I think you might be like, I mean, listen, I loved it.
But.
I'm going to see it in a different format.
I'm going to watch it on the back of an airplane seat.
Yeah.
Yeah, there you go.
Watch on your cell phone.
Watch it on my phone.
But anyway, this, and I actually should have written down where this was because I saw it.
But recently, it's Spider-Man's out and everyone's seeing it.
Yeah.
The cinema is so back.
Yep.
We have bounced back.
I love it.
And it's all Tom Holland.
to think. We have only Tom to thank. Yeah. I can speak more on that later. Double Tom, double. I got more on him later.
Little t's. Okay. Whoa. I can't wait for that. Yeah. No, no, no. Because, hey, same. Okay. Well, well, we'll talk about it later.
Okay. Well, recently at a Spider-Man screening, someone farted in the theater. I saw this. And it emptied, they had to clear out the whole theater and stop the screen. Was it real? That's amazing. So that wasn't a fake story? No, no. Oh,
the stories will, I don't know if it was a fake fart.
Like, did he...
Oh, you mean like, did he have a stink bomb?
But people are saying he didn't.
He's like, no, no, I barred it.
Did he know what he ate?
So, here's...
I have a lot of questions.
I also have a side story to relate to this.
Okay.
First of all, I just want to know, just knee-jerk.
Is this funny or not funny to you?
How is it not funny?
This is the funniest thing I've ever heard.
I think this is...
Did they get refund?
That was my next question.
Absolutely hysterical.
I think it's absolutely hysterical.
And also, I would have not left.
I would have been like this,
I will fight through it.
Keep playing the movie.
Like, I don't care how bad I would have fought through.
But I have been on record as a Patrick Bateman,
psychopath, clean freak, OCD lunatic.
I also find things like farting, pooping, and puking so funny.
They're great.
I've told you guys a million times.
Anytime someone pukes, I'm like this.
Yeah, yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
More.
More!
I love it.
When someone pukes, I think it's the funniest thing in the world.
And then when I smell it and I start gagging, I also think that's funny.
Farts?
Farts get me going.
Farting is so funny.
I don't know why. It's just like the child in me, but dude, it's someone...
Have you seen that video where that guy is like whispering to his Alexa?
And he's like, Alexa, fart for me.
And like Alexa farts, and it's like the nastiest...
Oh yeah, it's like a nasty...
Hold on. Let's try this right now.
Ready?
Yeah.
This will be great.
Hey, Siri, can you play me a fart noise?
She just like, hold on.
Why is it not stopping?
No.
Why is it going so long?
You said a fart noise, not all of the fart noises.
It just, it's, it won't stop.
I was not expecting this.
It is opened up a playlist called Fart Fest over 1,000 farts,
one hour. It's a one hour, one hour
playlist of farts.
Dude, so clearly, I love a fart.
My next question
after did they get their money back?
Oh, guys, that is the most automatic clip that has ever
existed. I can't help
but feel like people in the theater
were overreacting because how bad
could this fart in a presumably
reasonably big movie theater
possibly be
yeah like literally dude
the fart was so bad
that people were like
we have to leave
that feels insane
my only thought is that he had to have shit
himself had to have shit himself
because if a fart will dissipate
but if there's an active turd
situation
then that'll linger and it's bad
because it's like the plane
remember like the person diaryed on the plane
and they had to land
yeah they were like yo also
it's we always talk
if you go camping
and you like have to take a shit
outside and you actually smell
your poop when it is not in water
isolated by water you're like holy that
smells. So I would
imagine this dude chat himself. Okay
so he and he's probably running around going
like this oh I'm sorry I ate a lot of clams
earlier. I farted now you shit yourself but it's like this you have a dump
in your pants pal okay so he
he has sharded this man has sharded
here's the thing okay I went to see
Killers of the Flower Moon a couple years ago right and somebody
in the theater pulled the fire alarm
so everybody had to evacuate. Can I
Ask a question.
Yeah.
Was that scary?
Because, like, that would have, I, I still get spooked when I am in a movie theater.
And you think there's an active shooter?
When I think about the dark night.
Oh, me too.
Yeah.
If I heard a fire alarm, I would, I'd be throwing bodies in front of me.
I'd be losing money.
No, I'll be honest with you.
It happened when my wife went to the bathroom.
So I was like, did she, like, light up a cigarette in the woman's stall or something?
Like, you know?
I was like, what did you do?
You know?
Not that she's an active smoker, but like, I was like,
Sometimes, you know.
But no, I was afraid that they were going to restart the whole movie because it's a three-hour
movie.
They let everybody leave.
We waited around until like they did their peas and cues.
And then we all came back in and they restarted the film at the same time.
Oh, nice.
So I'm like, in that instance, I didn't need a refund.
We just continued the movie.
But like, did they continue the film is what I would need to know?
Like did they clean the poop up and then let everybody pick up the movie?
Well, that's why I think he probably shat himself because they were probably like, we need to like clean this year.
Yeah.
Like if there's like shit on.
the seat. We need to, like, this is bad. You can get disease from poop. Yes, you can.
Okay, so this actually changes. If it's shit, it's a different call, but I was wondering what
is the largest venue, because again, I'm almost with you, Dan, I'm like, I'm good. Like,
I'll just fucking, I'm watching the movie. Yeah, it'll go away in five minutes less. So I was wondering,
plane, I kind of get pretty small tube, circulating air, theater feels insane to me. Yeah. What is the
largest venue that you think a fart or a shart in this case could could clear out.
Wow.
Like if I'm in, if I'm in Sofi, it has to, no, I'm not leaving.
Yeah, because like we're outside.
But even sofi is clear.
Or fine, like thick and indoor.
Yeah.
I don't think there's any state, any professional stadium that you could clear out.
Someone farted and they're like, is we got to go.
There's our too big.
But hey, if we're talking like a call, uh, a D3 college stadium, maybe.
Really?
Maybe.
I don't know.
but probably not.
Because a theater is pretty big.
I don't even buy a theater.
Like how would they've been sold by?
There are some really small theaters
and if the AC wasn't working, maybe.
Well, listen, we all know we've all been here before.
Don't lie.
I've farted.
I have farted before.
There have been times where it's like
you're hungover or you've just like
eaten something insane
and you are just sitting in your house
farting up a storm.
Farting in the bathtubs and laughing your ass.
off and you'll like get up and leave that the apartment or your house and come back within a
short amount of time and it still smells like far oh yeah yeah and you're like oh my god dude
i have polluted this home that that it was a we've all been there is a moment where you realize
what your farts are capable of yeah correct so yeah it's like do either of you recall any of
your all-time farts like times when you've been like well i'm sorry i'm sorry for what i've done here
I can't recall a time where I've like upset another human where it's like someone is like I literally have to leave this.
I've got a good one.
Like I've had a couple of like post workout protein farts that I'm like, dude, what is happening inside you?
Yep.
Well, okay, I want to hear yours, Evan.
And then I want to give a Dan story from my POE.
Oh, God.
I have my own.
You got bombed.
I was, this must have been my.
my 13th or 14th birthday, and me and my buddies, who were all similar age, we were with my sister,
older sister. And in my family, we make this thing that's regional to the Eastern Ohio
Pittsburgh area called a pepperoni roll, which is something that they used to make.
Sounds awesome. Yeah, coal miners would bring them down to the coal mines because it was like
a easy, ready-made sandwich. Basically, it's like you get dough, you put some pepperoni, you put
cheese in it, you wrap it up, put a little butter on top, you bake it for 15 minutes,
and it's like a little pizza roll, but it's homemade, you know?
It's like a homemade hot pocket.
Basically, yeah, there's just no sauce involved, which you could, in theory, dip some
sauce if you wanted.
But anyway, we were just, me and my buddies were just eating these, like, fucking all night,
and between the three of us, we blew up that house.
My poor sister, like every three minutes was another, just horrible birthday party
fucking farts.
So that I do remember because it was so.
much. Yeah, she was at hell. Yeah, I think we took some like years off for her life. It was volume.
It was a volume game, dude. Okay. Yeah. So I had a bad fart. Well, it was just this, this has happened to me
with you before where, and I also want to admit that, and I think this is part of like the pressure
and altitude, but I feel as though on planes, I'm farting all the time. You fart more on planes.
I'm literally just like, yeah. And I find that it's almost like, uh, they don't really stink,
because I'm just like, I don't know, it's like my body's just like getting gas pushed out of me because of the high altitude impression.
But I've been on planes a few times and I presume everyone else is doing that too.
Like I don't begrudge anyone.
A toot.
You got a tooth.
But sometimes Dan, like you just said, we'll have, we're flying together and he's like, I got to get a workout in before we go.
So he like, he like pumps the gym and then hammers a ton of protein and then we'll get on the plane and he will fart and it will be one of those protein farts.
And it's on the scale of clearing out a plane fart, it's not bad at all.
but it is a protein fart.
So then we're like right next to each other.
And you fart and I smell it because I'm going to go,
there's a Dan protein fart.
And all I can think is the other person in our three cedar row
could obviously smell this too.
And I don't know how to make it so clearly not me.
You know, I'm like, that's, that was him.
That's the law of airplanes, though, is if you fart,
we're in this.
You can never know who it is.
Yeah, you always have plausible.
Deniability when there's more than two people.
Yeah. That's why on an elevator, you always want to, you always went three or more.
Yeah. Did I tell you guys this story? I was actually on an international flight. I was think I was
flying home from Zurich. And I sat down in my seat and there was a, I was actually in like
first class or I wasn't in business class. I was in like a premium plus or whatever. And this like
young kid sits down next to me and then his dad next to him. And this kid is ripping ass.
Like rip, he's ripping ass. And we haven't even.
taken off yet.
Like, audibly.
Rip an ass, I can hear it and like, it smells real bad.
And I like, I, I'm never one to be like this.
Yeah, yeah.
Because it's just so, especially to a kid.
I was like, I'm gonna ruin this kid's life, dude.
But I'm, I, there was one moment where I was like,
ooh, dude, like, this is like, this is like, this is a lot.
You'll poop your butt.
Yeah.
And I, again, I didn't say anything, but I was like, geez, all right.
And eventually the kid gets up and he goes to the bathroom.
And I'm like, oh, he had to poop, dude.
Yeah.
Just a little kid afraid to poop.
and he gets up, like walks over his dad, goes into the bathroom.
And I just feel a tap on my leg.
And I turn.
And it's like the guy he's leaned over and he's like, tap me on the leg.
And I'm just looking at him and he goes, he's a good kid.
Despite all evidence.
I was like, I'm sure he is, dude.
Like, what the fuck?
And he was, he followed it.
At first I thought that's all he was going to say.
And I was like, that is crazy.
But he's like, he's got a bit of a tummy ache right now.
And I was like, oh, man.
I was like, it's all good, brother.
Like no worries at all.
in there. But I was just like, that this, I felt bad for the dad because he was like, my kid is gassing this plane right now.
And my story was going to be, Dan and I drove from Maine to California when we moved out here.
And we would drive, we were driving like 16 hour days. It was so stupid. We were trying to just go so fast. So we'd literally like drive eight hours, switch, drive eight hours, land at damn place, go to bed.
Yeah. Wake up, do it again. And dude, we were just not stopping. So every meal was just like, oh, gas station.
McDonald, like chips, like whatever, and you're just in the car, dude.
And he's just like, I just see like in the passenger seat, like,
oh.
And he has driving out.
But are you doing the, are you doing the courtesy, roll down the window a little bit?
Just like, I'm letting you know.
We just exhausted every talking point, you know.
We had to be in silence.
You know, we had to smoke in like two hours.
They just hear the passenger window go down and you'd be like, you're all incoming.
You're also just driving on the freeway through Nebraska.
So like, yeah, he's rolling down the window.
but he rolls out in the window and it's like,
bo, bo, bo, bo, bo, bo, bo.
I'm like, you were torturing me.
Or if you go through, like, the pasture fields, too,
and there's, like, even worse outside.
Did you guys have a kid?
I think everybody, I think we all had a sacrificial person in our society,
and it was, like, the elementary school kid who shit his pants in school.
Yeah.
And if you had one, what was their nickname?
Mine was Stinky Steve.
That's good.
Stinky Steve.
Thank God he was Steve.
Yeah, that's good.
Damn, I don't think we had a name for.
I can think of him.
I'm not going to dead name him right now.
now. Well, I mean, don't give his last name. Notice how I didn't say the last name. His name began
with a J. Yeah. And God, ours was a girl. Oh, that's even worse. Think about that.
Oh, no. Life ruining. That's really bad. That's really bad. Sad. Very sad. Okay, dad. Let's take it
ad break. Let's take it out of here. We got to stop. We got to get out of here. Lucy is the official

Listen, as you boys know, Evan, you went through this at a time. I'm in the wedding
planning era. Yeah. But even more importantly, I've experienced this a lot, the wedding registry,
wedding gifts are a thing. And I've been trying to be better about getting on that sooner.
When my friends send me the website and the save the date and shit, I'm like, just do it.
Get the fucking gift now because I always forget. I'm like, did I get them a gift? What did I get?
By the time I go to the register, everything's taken. So my first question for you two,
as I build to my larger point here, is what is your etiquette individually?
each of you as the gift buyer.
Like when your friend's getting married and you get the website
and then they go, here's the registry.
What is your price range and what are you looking to get?
And do you always go off the registry?
I think it is a not always off the registry.
If it's a very good friend and there's like something that I
know that they would love, I will get that.
I think the registry is helpful though.
When I think about when I get married, I'm going to curtail my registry very specifically to things that I need and want.
So it's almost like at Christmas if someone's like, hey, tell me some things that you like.
It's better than a random guess.
So I think registry is brilliant in terms of like, listen, if that's part of our culture is getting a wedding gift, you should make a list of the things that you want because I don't want to buy you something that you're like, I never use this.
So shouldn't you always go off the registry?
Yes.
But again, unless I know someone incredibly well, and I'm like, I know you will love this.
Yeah, yeah, okay.
But I think the smart move with the registry is you treat it like the wine list at a restaurant.
You don't get the cheapest wine because then you look like a cheap skate bum.
And you're a bitch.
But you also don't go top shelf because, you know, we're not trying to break the bank here.
So you find a nice, happy medium thing on the registry and buy that.
Okay. Evan?
I think that my contribution financially to your wedding is commiserate to how close I am with you.
Right.
How much did I pay on travel?
Well, that also, but like if it's a really, if it's like my best friend in the world, then chances are if I get them something from the registry, it's going to be pretty expensive.
Or I'll get something that's like just as meaningful and possibly expensive, but maybe not the exact thing they wanted.
Like if they were like, I want this, whatever, and I'm like, this chair.
And I'm like, ah, there's a chair that's like it, but it's even better or more interesting.
And I know you'll like it better.
I would maybe make that move so that it's more surprising.
You could do it.
But it's also like a wedding registry.
isn't like Christmas where like you want to be like oh my God I'm so surprised it's like just
give me the fucking pots and pans that I wanted yes because I really need those to start my life with
my future partner okay so I'm actually going to jump to this point here this and you I think your
answer Dan is you're did you make one did you do did you do did you do a registry we did yeah okay yeah
so it was awesome answer this question and Dan you just said yours is going to be very specific
my fear with a lot of registries I see is that this whole content
concept comes from a forgotten era when you never had lived with this person before.
Right.
You're now starting your life and you have no possessions.
They're like, hey, can I have things for my house to cook with?
Yeah.
And now I'm like, I've lived with Sandra for a long time.
We, you, you, I have pots and pants.
And I feel like people just go around and like ding, ding, ding, ding.
And I'm like, do you need new pots and pans?
Like don't just get new pots.
I would use it as a way to upgrade your shit.
100%.
That's what we did because I had all this cheap crap from like tar.
Right.
And so we're like, all right, you know what, we're going to, like, if we're going to have a few items, let's ask for, like, good quality stuff.
100%, yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, the, the, I, listen, I love Alice more than anything in the entire world.
Truly.
Fuck you.
But, probably the most exciting thing about me getting married is going to be the registry.
Just getting new shit.
Because you know, I am king practical gift.
But we don't, you don't need it.
What are you going to do with all your old pots and pants?
You get to the dump?
Oh, brother.
Take them to Goodwill.
I take them to Goodwill or I toss them right in a dumpster.
To the Grinch.
It's like it is a pristine opportunity to just get nice things.
Like you deserve nice things in life.
But I know.
And it's the only time.
You're only going to get married once, hopefully.
And if you get married a second time, they're not going to fucking go all out for your registry.
So this is the one time you're allowed to be like, people are just going to be like, yeah, I'll give you that nice fucking castaway.
fucking pot and panset because
because I mean, brother,
I know, I mean, you know that I am
I will get myself nice things in this era
because like I like that type of shit.
But there's stuff that I'm like, this sucks.
Yeah.
Like I mean, I even look at my,
you know, like my spatulas and spoons and stuff.
Like they're fine, but they're just like plastic
spatulas that I got from like, you know,
kitchen aid or something or whatever.
And it's like, I'm going to dab all those new ones up.
If I start running, if I get through,
the things that I like really need on the registry and then I'm like this would be nice.
Hell yeah.
And also things age like we, I'm at a point now.
We've been married for four years and I'm starting to see a lot of our registry stuff.
And I'm like, oh, it's sweet that we got it.
It reminds me of our wedding.
But I'm also like, man, the passage of time because now I kind of need to upgrade it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, dude, you, you made us keep a walk in our house that broke five years prior and was just
sitting in a drawer because you were like, I loved this walk in college.
It was just a great walk.
Yeah.
Great walk. And you never got fixed. I literally put it in a drawer and I said, if in a year, this is still in here broken, I'm throwing it away. And a year passed and I went to throw it away and you were like, you were not allowed to do that? And I was like, you were a piece of shit. You're scumbed. So the, I feel, so my next question is, do you guys like the new thing where it's like my new house fund or whatever. You know, you just, you go. Just give them money. Here's some gifts, but just give me some money. And then I've also answer that question. But this I do like, which I've seen, which is, it'll be like, hey, I want this new, uh, uh, uh, love.
It's $400, but you don't have to get the whole thing.
You can, like, you go, it's like the luggage.
Oh, that's interesting.
It's like, it's like four pieces of this luggage.
So I'm like, 100 bucks.
Now you, they're like three pieces of this piece of luggage.
And then Deanne can be like, that's genius.
Yeah.
I like, sometimes I'm like, I don't want to do the fucking nice line,
but I'm like, contribute to the nice line.
Yeah, because it's almost like if you have an X amount of guests,
but you don't need that many items.
Like, it's not like one item per guest.
Yeah, yeah.
So now you can be like, I'd rather have these smaller quality items.
Contribute.
We had a honeymoon fund part of ours.
Okay.
Which was great because we were able to go to Italy and fucking ball out.
Dude.
So yeah, that I think is cool.
Like the new honeymoon fund, the new house fund.
Yeah, it's like the experience fund.
I'd rather have that than like, oh, the coolest fucking.
Because I feel like I want to do shit like that more than I want to upgrade my pain.
Well, that's the thing.
I think you should go through and think about stuff that you need.
Yeah.
Make sure you do gifts that you're like, we need this.
we need that.
And then look at the upgrade stuff
and be like, do we really need to upgrade that?
And if the answer is no,
then open the door to the experience fund.
Stemware.
You're always going to need wine glasses.
Yeah.
Nice wine glasses.
But I don't want them, dude.
I'm going to be honest,
wine glasses for me,
and I'm a wine guy,
have become like flat screen TVs
where they're like nice wine glasses
are not that expensive anymore.
Yeah.
You can go on Amazon and get them.
They're going to break.
They're going to break.
But I'm telling you,
can go on Amazon and get a nice set of eight wine glasses, like nice wine glasses for like $25.
Okay. So like you do not, if you get like crystal stemware, that's like hundreds of dollars in your
registry, I'm like, that's a mistake. So let me ask you this. Sandra, I said that all I want to do,
she was like, I'm going to go, I'll go gun the stuff that I want. And I was like, all I want,
all I'm going to put on from my side is contribute to my golf simulator. Like I'm going to get a golf simulator.
Nice. It's going to be five grand. And then I don't expect to get all that, but whatever you want to
contribute to it. And Sandra said I can't because once
everyone sees that as an option,
they're going to be like, oh, that's dope bank. And then she's
going to get none of her stuff because everyone can... Every
single male will do that.
And I'm telling you right now, you have to do it.
I agree.
That's a fantastic idea. If I invest in
your golf simulator, I'm fucking playing that
golf simulator. And you can. All I welcome, dude.
So I wanted to be in it. Well, no, this is what
you do. You add it on halfway. I think, if you
can change it, wait until like...
Actually, you know what you should do? Wait until like 20 people
contribute and then add it on.
You know what you should do?
Figure out, like, go talk to someone at Home Depot.
Yeah.
Or find something on Instagram or YouTube that is like build your own simulator.
Yeah.
I don't know what your plan is to do, like putting it in the house or like, you know, whatever.
But find one that requires us to do some, because that would be a fun project to do.
A great project.
So it'll be like cheaper.
Yeah.
And then Sandra will be like, you can do that.
Because if it's like, we're going to come over and help you build it.
Yeah. Because that'd be cool. It'd be a sick video.
It'd be really fun, dude. And it'll be cheaper.
So then it will hit it and it won't tap into her stuff.
Here's an idea.
Also, Sandra Golfs.
This is, Sandra will use this too.
I know, but she just wants new pots.
You'll get your new pots. Have hit different pay for it.
Make it a company expense.
Incredible idea.
That's what I'm saying, dude. We're going to, oh my God.
Incredible idea. This turns into a YouTube video. It pays for itself.
Yeah. There you go.
So here's my last thought for you guys.
if you know this exists, but I have now been informed of this. Yeah. There is a thing you can do
with your registry. That is a program where you fill your registry with gifts for people to get you.
And they click it and then it goes buy, it takes you to a link and you buy the gift. And then it goes,
it's been shipped to Kristen Sandra. Thank you so much. I'm going to say Chris and Dan. You don't get anything.
It's a shipped to Chris and Sandra. Thank you so much. And what it actually does is just transfer
that money into my account and doesn't send us the gift because we don't actually want them.
But they found if I put newlywed, honeymoon fund, people are willing to spend this much.
But if I go, get me this luggage, which is two times that, they go, I will get them that luggage.
And so I'm actually getting more money.
I think that's devious.
But it's money they were willing to spend anyway.
That's devious.
I think it's genius.
No, it is definitely devious.
But all it is doing is calling out us for being cheapskates.
So who is the devious one actual?
Yeah, right.
But then the person's going to be like, hey, man, I hope that that lounge chair I got you is really going to contribute to your happiness.
And you're like, no, actually, I spent it on a golf simulator.
I'm in Italy, dude.
Yeah.
You just got to be honest for them.
What do you think, Dan?
I love.
The fake gift register.
I love it, dude.
In a world where everyone needs more money and no one is willing to give it out, don't cheap skate me on my wedding too because you're like this.
Oh, here's the fun.
Here's a hundred bucks.
when you would have given me $250 for my away luggage.
Yeah.
You're a rat.
You are a rat.
Yeah.
Fuck you.
I guess there's nothing to stop you from just returning the item and keeping the money.
Oh, fair.
Yeah.
But that's more work for you.
I know.
I don't have to.
Who has time for that, dude?
No one.
Send thank you cards?
No one.
Insane.
Oh, God.
Don't even get me started on the fucking thank you card.
What a fucking joke.
That is tough.
I literally got into a cycle with my wife and I were like, we would get thank you cards.
Yeah.
And then it's like, where does this end?
Yeah.
Can we stop the car?
That is a.
bit, that would be so funny. If like someone, you send a thank you and then they reply and
you're so well for your whole life. And then I'm going to reply and be like this. It was so nice of
you to reply. Well, how are things going? Yeah. I think that's just called writing letters.
Yeah, yeah. That's what people used to do. I think that's, I'm going to send a part of full text
blast to my wedding. Thank you for coming. Partiful. Incredible. All right, Dan, fraud watch.
Fraud watch and top hits. Let's get into it. Evan, I'd like you to start.
All right. Hold on one.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Evan and I might have the same one of these.
Oh, yeah, the Tom Holland thing.
I forgot about this.
Yeah, mine.
Let's start with Fraud Watch.
Okay, we're starting with fraud.
By the way, guys, I went down a rabbit hole last night of like my takes.
I have a billion fraud watch on top hits.
Amazing.
But I'm not going to do the moment.
Yeah, you've got a list for the future.
All right, Ed, fraud watch.
My number one is LED.
headlights, modern headlights.
Oh, okay, yeah.
Like, have you ever been driving and someone in
SUVs behind you? And you're like,
like, blinded because of these
modern lights that are like,
for whatever reason, they're daylight
balanced? Like,
what happened to the nice, warm
amber light of tungsten?
I know that it's environmentally better
to have daylight
fucking LED, but I hate
the way it looks. I didn't even know that.
In cars, they're way fucking worse, because
they're so far even when their brights aren't on they're shining in your eyes it's miserable to
drive on a highway now give me my warm orange dim lights back dude warmer i would even i would even uh you're
actually this is a perfect place for it headlights but just warmer tones everywhere yeah you know
like i i i lights lights in general i love this fraud watch because yeah it goes into all these
these photos and videos i've seen recently that's like we are losing the soul of the world with like
Everything is just so minimalist and brutalist whites and grays and bright lights.
And we used to have gorgeous street lamps with ornate decorations on.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
We need that back.
So I'm into this.
And it's like, I understand that what they're doing is they're balancing the light for daylight.
So it's more of a blue light.
But then, but like that doesn't make sense to me because you only really need those lights at night.
At night.
Yeah.
So why are we trying to recreate daylight in?
in the night when it's...
We're going to confuse the animals, do it.
It's true.
And I think that's probably part of it.
There might be...
And also it's...
I know, like, when they say, like,
when you're, you know, at night,
you're looking at your phone and, like,
it's bad for your sleep.
And there's that night shift thing you can do
with your computer and your phone
where you can sort of make the light more amberish,
which I guess helps.
But so it's like, there's probably
scientific evidence to why we shouldn't be doing this anyway
other than, like, if they could just find
an environmental way to make the lights
better for the environment,
but also give them more of an orange glow.
A little warmer.
Warm those lights up.
I was doing a hit different video and I pulled into the golf course and a guy, an Asian man was at the driving range.
And he barely spoke English.
And he came out to me and he said, he was like, drive night.
And I was like, what?
And then he was like, Dan was like, I think he said, can you drive at night?
And I was like, oh, yes.
I can, I'm young.
I young.
I can drive at night still.
Why would he ask you that question?
And then he started gesturing to my headlights, which are clouded over a bit.
Oh, right.
They're not very bright.
And he was like, it's the sun.
And if you take half a lemon, he's like half a lemon baking powder, rubs.
Right.
Did you do it?
I haven't done it yet, but I just bought the lemons.
And I was like, thank you, wise Asian man.
I've heard about that.
It was unbelievable.
This guy had, he then said another thing.
Like he had so many.
I was like, I could talk to you for hours, sir.
He clearly,
Instagram reels
He's a human hack page
I could tell
It was unbelievable
I love that one
Okay
I'm gonna do two here
If that's okay
Two frauds
Two fraud watches
Because my first one
I want to be very
First of I want to be very clear
As we always say
Fraud Watch is not saying
That we hate these things
We're saying we're putting them on fraud watch
Because we have questions
I love Tom Holland so much
I think he is my favorite
actor, celebrity in the world, and I would give anything to work with him. I would give anything to be
friends with him. Yep. So I'm being very delicate when I say this. But I am not so much putting Tom Holland
on fraud watch. I am saying I'm so impressed with him that I need proof. Okay. So Tom Holland at this
awesome, I think it was a pickleball or like a Padell event that he did in partnership with
Bureau, his non-alcoholic beer. He was a, he was a, you know, he was a pickleball. He was a
interviewed about his workouts and he was like I do a workout all the time called the
cindy it's like a cross fit work yeah yeah i've done it many times cross the cindy is uh five pull-ups
ten push-ups and 20 air squats as many as you can do in 20 minutes and in the interview
he says i think my record is 27 rounds and a bunch of like fitness dudes have been like
trying to do it and it's going kind of viral and guys are getting through like
13 rounds and they're,
they're tapped out.
Now,
this is why I'm saying
I'm being very delicate
because Tom is my guy.
I will defend Tom all day.
He is a fucking lifelong
gymnast acrobat unit.
He's also 5-6, 5-7.
So a little bit,
you know,
not as long of a distance
on the pull-ups and things like that.
But that is such an unbelievable feat
that I'm like, I need him to,
I don't even need him to get 27.
I need Tom to film himself
doing a Cindy.
and even get 22.
And my mind will be blown.
Because, dude, I have done this workout.
It is hard, man.
Dude.
It is very hard.
Okay, yeah, I was going to say,
that sounds like a literal world record.
It is.
But it looks like the elite, like, world record is like 30, 31.
So I suppose he physically could do it.
And this is what I'm saying, like, I believe him.
So, like, it's weird that I'm putting him on fraud watch.
But it's, it's, it's, it's,
More because I need...
135 pull-ups.
Dude, it's crazy in 20 minutes.
What the fuck, dude?
But again, he is absolutely yoked, and he is a fucking gymnast.
And you're also forgetting that he was bit by a radioactive speaker.
Yeah, true.
I did forget that.
And that helps.
I did forget that.
If you noticed that in the movie, the DNA, maybe he took his regulator off.
That is.
And again, his eyes turned black.
So again, I just need, I need, again, all I need, I need him to do like 21.
And I'm already impressed.
All right.
So Tom Holland, you got to send us some video.
Send me a video, but let it be known.
I believe in you.
Of course.
It's my guy.
Spider-Man.
Okay.
Here's my...
These pull-ups are bullshit, though.
Here is my fucking CrossFit.
Here's my real fraud watch.
Okay.
Do you guys want me to give one that is more of a hot take that I'm probably going
to get pushed back on or one that I actually passionately believe in?
Ooh.
I don't know.
That's actually, both of them are ripe.
ripe for internet.
I want the hot take.
Okay, hot take.
Fuck.
All right, maybe I'll save the next one.
They're both food-related.
Okay.
Okay.
I don't even know if I believe this one.
So that's why I'm putting on
fraud watch so we could watch it
and people can come in the comments.
I'm looking at restaurant industry here,
people here too.
I think I'm putting specials on a menu on fraud watch.
Horrible take.
Horrific.
horrific. This is why I need to do it. I'm open to this. I, and this is a, because I'm a weak man.
Yep. I, when I go to a restaurant that I really like and I'm very excited, I feel like my big
struggle is the menu, because there's so many good things, I don't know what I want. Yep. And then when
the waiter comes over and does an incredible job and the server goes, you know, walks me through the
menu tells me about the restaurant and then they go, I'd also love to share it with you our specials
tonight. I'm like, I don't, I didn't need that as well. I don't need that added to my stressful
decision of what I'm going to eat. What if it was on the menu already? So when you sat down,
then I don't think it's a special. No, but it says on the menu, it says, yeah, and it says,
okay. Still, like an extra insert. Yeah. Oh, less bad. Okay, but still. Because you have time to
prep. Yes. Part of me is like, I know that there are seasonal items and things like that,
but part of me is like, if this is so fucking special, put it on the menu. Let me get it tomorrow.
I think it's more like, uh, the salmon is about to go bad. So it's on special tonight.
That's all say it possible. And it may kill you, but we will get your money. I mean,
we literally saw Anthony Bourdain in the big short say this. And we've done this. And like,
that I thought one of you was going to go there. Evan very well said. That is a,
that is, this isn't a myth.
Like that is a hundred percent what happens.
Like restaurants we worked out, it was like, hey, we need to get rid of this.
And I would like to think that the chefs we were working with and Anthony Bourdain certainly did this, would do, they'd make a cool dish.
Like, oh, the salmon, we need to sell the salmon.
So then let's make, we don't just go, here's some fucking salmon eat it.
You know, he would create this awesome dish that had salmon in it.
Right.
That made it a special.
So it was cool.
But 100% a lot of times specials are like, hey, we got to get this out here.
Yeah.
So I agree with you.
Only because in my, in my view, it's like, it's the same thing happens when people are like,
let's play a new card game.
I'm going to explain the rules to you.
And my brain just goes, whoop.
It's the same when they're like, let me talk about the specials.
And I'm looking at them, I'm going like, I'm not registering anything they're saying.
Why can't I pay attention to them right now?
The restaurant's loud.
I'm worried about the way I'm sweating.
And then they're done.
And I'm like, okay.
And I'm like, cool.
Didn't hear any of that.
Yeah, yeah, I'll have whatever the fuck you said.
Yeah.
So I can't pay attention.
I actually, you are clearly don't like this.
stand, but I like when a place goes, they have like a daily special. As in, as in Wednesdays,
we have this. I know exactly the place that you're thinking of. You're thinking of Cat and Nintail
in York, Maine. But that's not on the reg. What do you mean? Some places, no, they have a special
every day. Some places go every Thursday. I think Cat does that. No, I think Cat is like,
either way, that is, that is, I don't, we can't get into semantics here because that is different to me.
I also think it's stupid, but if they're like every Thursday we do a gobbler.
Yeah, because Thursday is Thanksgiving.
Yeah.
That is cool.
But I'm talking just the, again, it's just on fraud watch.
Let's talk about it.
Are you just saying that you don't like it because it adds more choices and that makes you more anxious about what you're going to eat?
Yes, that also what you said, because there are times where I'm like, is this seafood stew your fucking day old halibut?
Right.
And there's also the element that's part of me.
It's also a challenge to the chef where I'm like, if this is a special, pal, put it on the menu.
Why is this not always on the menu?
And again, I know people are going to be like, some things are seasonal.
We can't have it in stock all the time.
And I'm like, okay, leave it off the menu.
Yeah.
If you can't afford to have it all the time, leave it off the menu.
I actually, my hot take about specials is I much prefer lunch specials to dinner specials.
Lunch specials, I'm all in.
Oh, yeah.
I'm like, bro, you have an entire wago steak that I'm just hearing about now.
Whereas lunch, I'm like, oh, that's sandwich, sounds awesome. I'll have that.
To contradict myself, every now and then when I do order the special, I feel very fancy.
And it's amazing. I'm like, I'm going to do the special.
I've had some bad specials. You know what I, this is just a sidebar, but like when you look at something,
it's like lobster roll, market price. Yeah. I hate that because then I have to look like a poor
fucking schmuck who's like, what's the market price? They're like $30. I'm like, not going to get that.
Yeah, yeah. Well, here's the, I have good news.
Evan, you don't ever have to ask again because they're always obscene.
It's always, yeah.
That's why I know put the price.
Yeah, I can help you out here.
No market is good.
All the markets are gouging us.
Doesn't matter what market you're shopping at.
They are expensive.
Who invented that, by the way?
Market price is some bullshit.
It is so dumb.
One restaurant was like, what if we just say, it's not on us, it's on the market?
All the markets.
All the restaurants I've ever worked out when we did that,
I was always like, fuck you, dude.
Yeah.
Insane.
All right.
Okay.
My fraud watch is NFL training camp.
You bitched about everything.
Okay.
No, maybe this wasn't you.
I'm getting put on blast here.
But we were talking about the seasons, weren't we?
We weren't we talking about summer?
You bitched about summer, didn't you?
Yeah, I said summer was over too soon.
Why are you saying bitched?
You bitching, dude.
He fraud watched.
Put it on fraud watch.
Summer was on fraud watch.
It's too short.
Yeah, and I think, so this is kind of piggybacking on yours.
one of the culprits for me is NFL camp.
I'm like, hey dude, it's August 5th.
Literally, what is going on?
Yeah.
No one needs you in camp right now.
Like, just go, go away.
Go away.
In the fall, start football and then play football.
Like, what in the actual fuck happens when it's, dude, because they were already happening.
Like, it's in July.
And they're like, oh, the Dak Prescott's throwing.
And I'm like, why?
Why? It's July.
Yes.
And a lot of things trigger me that summer's ending and all this shit.
And one of them, and I'm, I like football, dude, but I'm not the biggest foosball guy.
But the, you're a pretty big football guy.
I was when Brady was playing.
I was a huge football guy.
Just not, it's, you know, who's got the time now?
I love my Sundays.
Drake May is the time.
Yeah, yeah.
He's making time for us.
You make time for him.
But yeah, dude, I just can't, I can't have it.
I can't have it this early.
You suck the life out of summer.
You suck the life out of every other sport.
It's too early.
I'm going to piggyback.
I'm going to put Premier League on there, too.
I mean, Chelsea's literally playing preseason matches against Juventus right now.
And I'm like, can you guys please?
You're a fall sport.
But they're about to start playing games in like two weeks, two and a half weeks.
I think it's a symptom of just like the 24-hour sports media cycle where it's like, of course, decades ago, athletes were training months in advance.
But we didn't hear about it because we didn't have to like make news out of nothing.
Yep.
Whereas now it's like, oh my God, he fucking like he has new shoes on.
Here's an article about it.
And it's like, okay.
And dude, it's also like, hey the Browns.
You're going to go three and.
15 again. Like, do you think all these
summer workouts
are fucking doing anything? Yeah, maybe
let them relax. They'd play. There are
Browns fans listening to this show
right now who are just walking through life
fine. Yeah. And then the second you brought up
NFL, their ears perked up and they were like,
just don't bring. Don't
leave us alone. Don't bring up the Browns. And then we
got through your whole fraud watch and they were like,
we made it. And then you just killed them.
Headshot. Headshot.
Dude, I don't
Evans, you're both right. I don't need it.
Do it in private. Go work out.
in private, leave the cameras away.
I don't need to hear about it.
I don't need to see any articles about it.
Fucking people are paying like to go to camp.
Like fans go to camp.
Yeah, it's a little crazy.
Jesus Christ, NFL.
Calm down.
That's a big thing in Pittsburgh too.
They used to do that in La Trobe.
Calm down.
Agree.
Let's snake draft it.
Bring it right back around for top hits.
Top hits.
Yep.
For me, going to lunch.
Whoa.
I, when I was a TV exec,
lunches were a really big thing.
That's like everyone's like,
let's get lunch. You know, like, do when I was an assistant, my boss would, we were booked
lunches out for months. Like something like, can we get lunch with your boss? And I'd be like, yes, how's,
you know, how's, uh, October? Yeah. October 10th. And they'd be like, okay. And then that would
get pushed at least once, right? Like, you know, then that lunches gets pushed and you go. Yeah.
But at point being lunches are filled. I remember being like, oh, when I get older, there's an
exec, I will go on lunches someday. And I kind of did when I, you know, became a young exec.
I was going on lunches. And then I stopped because I was like, I don't have time for this.
And I don't need this networking. And those are free lunches to keep
mind. Yeah. And then now I am bringing lunch here a lot. A lot of people bring lunch here a lot. And it
just creates this like, I'm just at my desk eating. And what kind of first swung me back is when you and I are in
the bar and I see the whole edit bay do their sit down lunch together. And they bring their lunches,
but they're all hanging at the picnic table. Yeah. They're a tight group. That's pretty cool.
When I see those boys walking somewhere to get lunch, I'm like, I get jealous. Good job, guys.
That's what I said to them. I was like, damn, I'm jealous of this. And then we yesterday for Dolan's
could be the move video, we went out to lunch.
We went to KBQ lunch, which was an ordeal.
Yeah, it was a lot.
But my point was, we have time.
Like, I am so multitasking in my life that I'm like,
I gotta fucking finish everything and I'm always stressed and whatever.
But you have time to have lunch for an hour.
And sitting with your friends,
don't want to lunch with your friends,
is in the middle of your workday.
It's awesome.
It's actually awesome.
And I was like, we should be going to lunch all the time.
Yeah.
I am the biggest, truly, I am the biggest, like, we need to be taking notes from Europe.
Like, they go home and have lunch. And I'm over here eating my lunch, hunched over my computer,
doing more work. And I'm like, can you take a break, dude?
Dude, I've been more and more out on dinner as I've gotten older. Like dinner, I don't need,
I don't even like dinner anymore. I used to love dinner. And now I'm like breakfast, lunch.
Christopher, that is awful. You know what this is? This is the first noticeable sign.
Actually, maybe it's your body breaking down. Like, you are hurt all the time.
now you are burned hand man you are officially old if you stop eating dinner like i'm dead
ass like i used to but it's healthier though i used to tease i used to tease turtob he straight up
up would used to not eat like he would eat the biggest fucking lunch you've ever seen and then he'd
he would take a nap and then go home and i'd be like do you eat dinner and he'd be like he was straight
up like this no like i just go home and go to bed and i'm like you're so old that's crazy that's
like the omad that's the omad die right one meal a day yeah yeah yeah this is this is a great joke
that Bruce Springsteen only eats one meal a day.
And then Connor O'Brien said, yeah, but it's a, it's a 12-foot-long Italian son.
Yeah, like, no joke.
It's like that is, like, John used to do that.
And I'd be like this.
You were way too young to be acting this old.
Because, like, it is an old person move when you stop eating food.
Like, we used to get lunch with Graham, and she would eat, like, three bites of a sandwich
and be like, this is all I'll eat today.
And I'm like, what is wrong with you?
I mean, here's the thing, though, there is a financial thing to think.
Because I love fucking eating out at lunch.
But then you're looking at it.
You're like, wow, I spent $25 on a fucking sandwich
and a bag of chips.
Hold on, Evan.
You're right.
But I'm not talking money here.
I'm talking literally.
Just taking a break.
Your body is like, I don't need food anymore.
Right.
You cannot be getting to that age.
I saw a video the other day that was like,
the worst part about vacationing with your parents as they get older is when they
hit the I'm not hungry face.
And like, that is dead ass, dude.
That's so real.
When we're with our parents and I'm like, is you guys want dinner?
And mom's like, I'm fine.
I'm like, no, you are not this old.
Stop.
Shout out Al, dude.
Shout out Al and Keith.
Like, Al and Keith, I can go on vacation with and we be going to meals.
Yes.
And that is what I'm talking about.
Because it's eating is like one of the best things that we do.
Exactly.
Okay.
My top hit is blaming the government.
The other day, actually, you just referenced we were at Benihana.
Or not Benihana.
I wish we were at Benihana.
We were at, what was that?
Quarters.
Shout out quarters.
We were at KBQ for lunch.
And we were talking to Danny and someone made a comment about, Danny eats a lot of burritos, a lot of sodium in Danny's diet.
And someone was like, Danny's cholesterol must be out of control.
And Danny quickly piped in between bites and said cholesterol is made up by the government.
It's not real.
And then someone was like, why would the government make up cholesterol?
And I was like, well, because the government is in bed with big pharmaceutical.
and then they're trying to sell us medication and, you know, next thing.
And someone was like, that's actually a good point.
Yep.
I think as many people who listen to this program know, we are a big conspiracy theory, guys.
I think I am full Ron Swanson now.
Yeah.
I've been rewatching Parks and Rec as I go to bed.
And every single time Ron Swanson goes on about how he's a libertarian and he's like,
I hate the government and the government should not be involved in anything.
All they do is steal our money and not let us do things.
especially here in the U.S.,
fuck the government.
You're all, all you politicians,
you are pricks and pieces of shit
scumbags and all you do is lie to us
and pit us against each other.
The government is to blame for everything.
And take a bunch of corporate money.
Yes.
They're getting rich.
They're getting rich.
To become a politician, you're like a manipulative, bad person.
You are a scumbag.
I can't, like, it's insane.
Well, they spend so much time raising money
for the next campaign.
They don't really govern.
It's like as soon as they get elected,
then the thing they got to think about most is how do I fundraise so that I can get elected again.
Evan, I saw a comedian on Subway Takes recently say that politicians should have to wear their sponsors on their suits like NASCAR.
Yeah, that's good.
And I was like, yes.
Because anytime they said anything that was related to one of their sponsors, we'd go, oh, you're full of shit.
Because it's like when I watch Spider-Man.
and there's a shelf
when he's in the bodega
and there's a shelf full of bureau
I'm like nice product placement Tom
but I'm also like I know what you're doing
as you should you should
you got Marvel bent over the barrel
they'll do anything you say
you should put bureau in this movie
but I know why it's in there
when a politician starts talking to me about some random shit
and I'm like oh interesting yeah if they had a
fucking massive Nabisco
batch
tricks are for kids oh you fucking scumbag
it'd be cool Ev if we have
had a, you can't ever run consecutively rule.
Yeah.
So like once you win the election, you fundraise, you win the election.
Yeah.
Now you can't run.
So it's like, all right, just use your time to go.
There you go.
And now you're out.
And you could run again the next round.
Yeah, you got to sort of like do a loop-de-loop.
Yeah, because it's like now, do the job, please.
I know.
I like that.
So I think we got to be, I mean, I think it is just a top hit to blame the government.
Yeah, good one.
Because here's the thing, dude.
they're not on our side.
Yeah.
They are actively against us.
They've been poisoning us and stealing from us since its inception.
Did you see the one, there was the one guy from the whatever, I forget, I forget his name,
but he was like, people want these data centers in their communities.
He's like, it'll be great for your community.
And like literally everyone is going to these town halls being like, they're noisy,
they pollute the water, they bring our energy expenses up.
And then you have guys going like, no, people want them.
They love them.
What are you talking about?
It's like, I,
I am all in on this, dude.
Like, we all need to be more like ransom.
All they're doing is pitting us against each other.
We need to get back in touch with humanity.
We need to stop watching the news because that's all bullshit too.
Because it's paid for by politicians and they just lie to us.
Like, people watch the news and they go, I'm informed.
And I'm like, you just watched a TV show.
Well, it's the same corporations that pay the politicians pay the news.
Yes.
It just depends on what side you're on.
They control all.
They're just, we're all puppets, dude.
We need to cut the strings.
Wow.
We're fomenting an insurrection.
right now. I'm dead-assed. The government is to blame for everything. You're going to be on a list,
then. Fine. I'd be happy to be on it because I fucking know you're all full of shit. You just turn
each other against each, all of us against each other because you're all puppet master scumbags.
Cholesterol is not real. Cut the strings. Speaking of, I'm taking my, uh, this is my high blood
pressure chew. There you go. You don't have high blood pressure, blood pressure. Watch me have a stroke on
the air. The government made it up. But yeah, start blaming the government, dude, because they are to blame.
done everything. Ev top hit. Okay. So it is Tom Holland. Oh, nice. Specifically, Tom and Zendaya
are having a summer. Bro, it's incredible. And I'm, I'm not normally like a celebrity couple.
I love celebrities. Yeah, I'm not like a worship of the elder celebrities caring about
influencers or any of that stuff. Like, let them live their lives just because they're famous,
doesn't mean you got to obsess about their private lives. I should not have taken that true right now.
Yeah, I can jump in while you chew because I could not agree more.
I absolutely love the two of them.
And I actually texted a friend the other day.
I, it sucks loving them so much.
And then seeing these Tom Daya fan X3-2 Instagram accounts.
And I'm like, get a life.
It's all like AI videos too.
Actually, yes.
I mean, like it's like crazy people are going on to AI and going, make me a tribute video to Tom
and Zendaya.
And I'm like, they are famously private.
let them be private.
Like you are,
you love them so much
and you're doing what they hate.
Like,
please do not ruin their lives.
But like,
I think that they are so wonderful.
Just my take is like,
they're cool.
He's,
when I was watching The Odyssey,
I left the movie and I was like,
I can really get behind any plot of a movie where,
and no,
hopefully this isn't a spoiler,
but like the subplot of the movie
is protect Tom Holland's life at all costs.
Yeah.
Like,
and I'm like,
I think we can all get,
like great casting.
Yeah.
Because he's just so charming.
Yeah.
He's fucking.
Spider-Man, and then Zendaya and him being in like two giant blockbusters, two weeks apart,
together, and just being the coolest.
I'm like, I hope it lasts.
I hope they stay together.
I hope it's not like a Chris Pratt on a Ferris thing where they split up and you're
kind of like, I'm bummed about that.
But like, just what fucking summer they're having being in like these great movies that
are actually like interesting, well-made films?
I mean, I think the Odyssey is a little bit better than Spider-Man.
Yeah, but Spider-Rs great.
Still, like, you know, just the satisfaction to be them.
Like, they're fucking living the lives.
God bless them. God bless those kids.
I forget what it was talk show, but he was on a talk show recently and someone was like,
dude, you just did the Odyssey Press story.
Now you're rolling right into Spider-Man.
It must be pretty nice to be Tom Holland right now.
And he was just like very charmingly.
And honestly, he was like, I am living the dream.
And I was like, you sure are, pal.
And by God, does he deserve it.
Be thankful.
Be thankful.
He is so wonderful.
I love him so much.
I love her so much.
they just feel like they are everything that I would hope people who find fame and success would be.
And I love that they're private.
And I'm like, respect that.
Yeah.
Let's let them keep being awesome.
Dude, so my take, and I'm so with you, Ev, that is one of the few celebrity couples that I would be bummed.
Currently right now, I'd be bummed if they broke up.
I'd be like, oh, that was cool.
Yeah.
Love isn't real.
Yeah.
And I, but this is my relationship with them.
It's exactly what Alfred says to Bales, Batman, when he's like,
I hope you just disappear.
Agree.
And I never see you again.
And then one time I see you at a cafe in Italy.
And I'm drinking a Ferni Bronca.
Yeah.
And I just give them a nod and go, I'm proud of you.
I hope after Tom's Spider-Man arc is done, they literally vanish.
I said this to you the other day.
They're going to take a break.
They said they're going to take a break.
Well, I mean, I've heard him.
Right now I'm doing what I just told people not to do.
It's like, just let them live.
Yeah.
But I have heard him say he's like, when we have kids, I'll probably retire
from acting. And as someone who loves his work, I'm like, don't do that. But then I'm like, dude,
I don't think he should. He is, I mean, look at what he has already achieved, like the money that
he is bringing in. I hope he finishes this Spider-Man art, because like, he's already done it, dude.
Like, he's done a Nolan movie. I'm sure he would love an Oscar, but he also doesn't strike
me as the person at all who gives a fuck about that. But I'm like, dude, if there's like one or two
other directors that you're really desperate to work with, like he wants to work with Greta Gerwig or
like Catherine Bigelow or Scorsese or something, I'm like, yeah, go do that.
but finish Spider-Man, have some kids and get the fuck out of here.
Good day.
Go golf.
Yeah.
Go, like truly, golf, hang with your brothers who are awesome and your family and Zendaya's family
and just fucking enjoy everything that you have earned because you're the fucking best, the both of them.
I just want to share one quick crush that I think you guys might appreciate because we were in the theater.
And sometimes I'll just lean over to Megan and just a little joke in the film.
And they were asking in The Odyssey, they were like, how old books?
your son be at this point because, you know, Odysseus hadn't seen him. And I leaned over to
him and I said, he's 30, but he can play 20, which is Tom Holland because he's like,
perfect. He's 30 now, but he's definitely playing younger. Oh, my God. I was actually, you know,
this happens anytime a good Marvel movie comes out, but I've been like, in the background
while I'm cooking, I've gone back through the Infinity saga and I was hung over the other day
and watched all the Spider-Man's. I was shocked. If you watch Spider-Man Homecoming, he looks young.
Yeah. I was like, oh my God. Like, it is crazy.
Because he is so handsome and youthful still.
And but you are like, oh, wow, you are way over.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
That's crazy.
Time happens.
God.
All right, let's wrap things up with a blind ranking.
We're going to stay with Dr. Watkins here on the Nickelodeon train.
We had to save this one until he returned.
We had to save for his return.
Thank you.
I know.
You are.
And we're doing blind ranking Nickelodeon game shows.
Number one.
Well, not number one.
Let's just say the first one.
Yeah.
Wild and crazy kids.
Oh, I did forget about that way.
That is good, dude.
That is an incredible pull to start us off.
I think I have two that I, that are like my one, one A, one B.
I think so too, and you're going to, we're probably going to fight over it.
I'm happy to go like five here.
Five?
Yeah, bro.
I barely remembered this show.
It was cool, but this was also one.
I mean, we always joke about this with the.
live action Nickelodeon shows when you go back and look at him, the holy hell the budget was
low on the shows.
Yeah, wild and crazy kids is pretty low for me. I'll go five or four. I'm wondering if we should
go four for fear. But God, sometimes the times we've gone five out the gate and just gone
right up the shoot has worked well for us. I'll just, the show, I was rewatching some of it.
It's pretty slapdash. And it's like, I'm kind of amazed no kids got injured or maybe we didn't
know it. Because it's literally like, we have, they like, they like, they like ran
out of water park and they just bring like 500 fucking kids and let them go nuts, which is
part of the low budget thing is like, whatever. And it's like, we're going to have the kid
go down this giant water slide into a thing of like baseball bats and then they have to get through
and it's like, how did nobody break a fucking leg doing the show? One of the hosts was Omar Gooding,
who is Cuba Gooding Jr.'s younger brother. Yes. Hilarious. I never knew that. But what do you think?
Do you want to do five? Um, yeah. Fuck. All right. Five.
Okay, next one is Legends of the Hidden Temple.
I don't know how this isn't one.
Me neither.
Okay.
I thought we might have to fight about this?
There's one that I'm like, I would fight, I would fight, but I would lose the fight,
and I'd be happy to lose the fight.
This Legends of the Hidden Temple is one.
It was so sick, dude.
This was the one show that I think everybody wanted to be on.
When you were kids, it was like, what would you be, and then this is the one?
What team were you?
I was a purple parrots guy
Yeah
But Legends of the Hidden Temple
Was like blue barracudas
How many do you think you can name?
Let me try it right now
Purple parrots
Blue barracudas
Green monkeys
I think that's right
Silver
snakes
I think
Red
I can't remember red
Damn
I don't remember red
But I think that was it
Was it five
Let's see.
Maybe there was a...
Fuck, I should have got that one.
Is there more than five?
I think there's an orange...
Bluebaracudas, green monkeys, purple parrots, silver snakes.
So we got those.
We're missing two.
Two, it's orange and red.
Yep.
Is it orange guanas?
Yes.
Orange iguanas.
Red jaguas.
And it's red jaguas.
Which I should have got.
That was my favorite team.
I was always written to the red jaguars.
I loved the purple parrots.
Yep.
Okay, so are we locking in one?
I'm going to have to go one.
I mean, fuck, man.
There were a couple of sick shows.
Yeah.
But Legends of the Hidden Tadadels.
go one. It was just cool. It was awesome.
Yeah. Okay. Guts.
Now, I need to
ask, is Guts and Global Guts? Are you going to say global guts
too? Or can we just pair them together? I would pair
them together. Yeah, okay. Guts. The Agro-crag, brother. Agro-crague.
Dude, that actually...
Fuck. And Mike O'Malley was the host. Do you remember him?
And this is probably the one I wanted to be on next, to be honest with you.
Because I know the other show that's probably coming, but this one, I was like,
I can do that. This is difficult for me.
God, the agro-crag, dude.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
This is difficult for me, though.
This might have to be, too, bro.
Global guts, guts, or skull guts.
Do, do, do, you have it.
Guts and this other one I'm thinking of are such different shows.
I know.
And, like, legends and guts, I felt like we're pretty, like, they were both very physical.
Yeah, yeah.
But at the end of the day, I do think guts is above this other one.
Wait, I think we, I think guts is two.
Yeah, two.
Okay.
Double dare.
Three.
Yes, and Double Dare was sick.
And Double Dare is fucking awesome.
Reaching up that nose, reaching up that nose for the flag.
Yeah.
Double Dare was like this cool combination of like, it felt like Price is right.
Like it was in a set.
Yeah, yeah.
You know, like having like ooze a helmet on with the line and you're just like getting the
hilarious.
Hilarious.
Like Double Dare rocked.
I love actually.
I love Island.
I feel like Love Island this year watched Double Dare.
Yes.
And then took all their challenges.
They did.
Yeah.
Yeah, we remember Sean was talking about all the sliming.
The one thing I find fascinating is Mark Summers, the host, had like OCD.
Did you know that?
Did he really?
Yeah.
So every day on set, he like would have a panic because of how messy and gross the show.
Of course.
And so to me, I'm like the worst man for the job.
Yeah.
Insane.
He's on Andy every day.
But he knew it was a cash cow, dude.
He's like, and then he was on what would you do, which was like the spinoff show of that one, which was similar.
He was also the host of that.
But I'm not bringing that one up.
That's not the one.
Okay.
Okay, so I fucking love our top three.
Me too.
I think we're on fire.
Yeah, I think this actually might be perfect.
What is four?
Number four is Nick Arcade.
Do you remember Nick Arcade?
