Starting point is 00:00:00 Happy New Year, everyone. Is it, though, Amory? I'm choosing to feel optimistic, Ben. Okay, all right, yeah. I mean, look, 2021, you got nowhere to go but up. And we are jumping back into the feed in the middle of our break with some actually... I know, I know, wait for it, good news. Yeah, about a year or so ago, we asked some of you what kind of endless thread swag you might want.
Starting point is 00:00:29 It feels like 10 years. Yeah, it was a while ago. But your votes are in. We counted them legally. They were certified without objection. And the results overwhelmingly favored socks. Yes, you asked for endless thread socks. And we finally have endless thread socks.
Starting point is 00:00:50 And Ben, I just have to say, this might just be the best swag for anything that's ever been created. Yeah. I mean, no bias on your part, even though you designed them. But these socks are pretty sick. They're sick-ass socks. And there is a limited amount. Only the first 200 people who make a monthly donation to our home station WBUR will get socks. Or you could like make deals and have like the first 400 people get one sock each.
Starting point is 00:01:18 I wouldn't do that personally, but I suppose you could figure out a way to do it. But you'll also get if you get a pair of socks, you will also get access to special endless thread bonus content. when you support us. So to become a monthly supporter, just go to WBUR.org slash socks. That's WBUR.org slash socks. And even if you make a monthly donation after the socks are gone, you will still get access to that endless thread bonus material. If you're like, socks, I don't need those.
Starting point is 00:01:52 I'd say, come on, man, you got to wear socks. But I would also say that socks aside making a recurring donation to W. WBUR is the absolute best way to support us and our show. Maybe you listen to the show because of our deeply reported series, like infectious and madness. Or maybe you like our recurring series, things like endless dread and snack time. Or maybe you're here because we hosted Zoom parties in the early days of the pandemic,
Starting point is 00:02:19 or you liked our plates episodes, or us diving into topics like Q and on, maybe even because we collaborate. What? What? You called it a... What? Pandemi?
Starting point is 00:02:33 You called... You're not going to pandemic these days? Emery, this is 2021. We don't have time to say pandemic. No, if you embrace it, I will support you in that. Continue. Come on with me in the pandemic. You know, maybe you want to support us because we collaborated with you guys to help a socially isolated
Starting point is 00:02:57 endless thread listeners. make new friends. That was a good episode. I like that one. Mm-hmm. Well, however you got here, and for whatever reason you have stuck around, thank you so much for listening.
Starting point is 00:03:10 We really love making this show, and this work takes resources. Starting point is 00:03:32 Your support really does matter, especially during the pandemic. So thank you in advance. And if you are interested, go to wb-U-R.org slash socks, S-S-S-C-K-S to make a contribution. Remember, only the first 200 people get socks.
