I'm Corey with the story, bringing you the latest in entertainment and pop culture.
Robert Aramayo is back on the red carpet for the first time since his big win at the Baptist got
overshadowed by a tough controversy.
The 33-year-old actor picked up the leading actor award for his role as John Davidson, a real-life
campaigner with Tourette syndrome in the film, I swear.
He surprised everyone by beating out favorite Timothy Shalame.
Earlier this month at the ceremony, the night turned chaotic when John Davidson
who was there as a guest, shouted a racial slur because of an an involuntary tick from his condition.
The moment made it into the BBC broadcast two hours later, even though officials promised to edit out any swearing.
Reactions poured in fast, with some Hollywood stars like Jamie Fox's voicing backlash, but most anger aimed at the BBC for not cutting the slur.
John apologized on social media, saying he was mortified, but would never apologize for having Tourette's syndrome.
He thanked supporters in the community for standing by him during a rough week.
BFTA issued an unreserved apology for the offensive language,
while the BBC called it a serious mistake and launched a fast-tracked investigation.
Sources say producers just missed the slur during editing,
unlike other parts they did cut.
Meanwhile, Aramayo joined director Kirk Jones at the Madrid premiere for the film's Spanish release,
called Incontrollable.
Adding to John's woes, thieves stole his bike from his shed back in Skye,
Scotland right after the event.
