Cameron Diaz is back on set in New York City,
filming her latest romantic comedy.
The 53-year-old actress was spotted on March 13th in the West Village,
outside a cafe dressed in a long black leather coat and boots.
She's starring alongside director Stephen Merchant
in this untitled Amazon NGM Studios project.
The story follows a workaholic British hotel employee,
played by Merchant, who strikes a deal with a struggling stand-up comedian Diaz's character,
for a fake marriage to get her health insurance.
What starts as a business arrangement turns into real romance.
Diaz stepped away from acting for a decade after her role in Annie back in 2014.
She focused on family life with husband Benji Madden and their two kids, daughter Radix and son Cardinal,
aiming for a simpler routine she could.
