From The Daily News Now Network, this is Corey with entertainment and celebrity news today.
Diane Warren added another loss to her record streak at the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday night.
Her song nomination marked her 17th, without a win, the most ever for any nominee.
The award went instead to the team behind Golden from the film K-pop Demon Hunters.
She does have an honorary Oscar from 2022, but competitive wins have alluded her so far.
Warren has joked about her trophy getting lonely at home.
Last week, she expressed frustration that her nominated track was not performed, live, as the Academy limited performances to just two songs this year.
Meanwhile, Paul Thomas Anderson finally broke through after 11 prior nominations.
He swept Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay for his thriller One Battle After Another.
The film also earned acting nods for Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro,
Sean Penn and Teyana Taylor.
Ryan Cougler's centers led all films with a record 16 nominations,
including Best Picture and Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan.
Other top contenders included Marty Supreme,
with nine nods for Timothy Chalamey and Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein,
also with nine.
Conan O'Brien hosted for his second straight year,
bringing energy to the Dolby Theater event.
Snubs drew backlash, like Ariana Grande for Wicked for Good,
and Paul Miscall,
and supporting actor.
The ceremony aired live on ABC,
capping off the best of 2025 films.
