In the film, he plays twin brothers returning home only to face vampires.
During his emotional acceptance speech at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, Jordan honored past black best actor winners like Sidney Poitier, Denzel, Washington, Jamie Fox, Forrest Whitaker, and Will Smith. He called them giants and ancestors who paved the way for him. Will Smith, now 57, responded warmly on Instagram Monday with photos of Jordan and his trophy. His captions celebrated the history-making win, even though Smith has been banned from Oscar events for 10 years.
That band came in April 2022 after Smith slapped Chris Rock on stage during the ceremony.
