Savannah Guthrie, the today's show anchor, is reportedly very upset over rumors tying her sister Annie
and brother-in-law, Tomaso Sione, to the disappearance of her 84-year-old mom, Nancy Guthrie.
Nancy went missing from her Tucson, Arizona home around February 1st after what seemed like a normal evening.
Annie and Tomaso were the last people to see Nancy alive.
They had dinner together on January 31st and dropped her off just before 10 p.m.
with security footage showing her garage door closing at.
9.50 p.m. journalist Ashley Banfield soon claimed on her podcast that investigators
I. Tomaso as a prime suspect early on.
Savannah doesn't buy the accusations at all, according to comments from Megan Kelly, who said it's natural for her to defend her family.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos backed that up on February 16th by clearing.
all of Nancy's relatives from suspicion. Still questions linger because police are holding on to Annie's
Blue Honda CRV seized early in the probe. As of March 11th, it hasn't been returned, and experts
say they might be checking it for evidence to cover all bases. Meanwhile, the FBI has released
surveillance video of a masked person at Nancy's home near the time she vanished, and they found DNA
at the scene. That's still being analyzed. Billboards are now up across Arizona and nearby states
to help find her, now six weeks missing.
